- 2:17Speaker 1: How amazing is that? How good has God been to me?
- 2:23Speaker 1: How good has He been to you? Just check yourself sometimes,
- 2:27Speaker 1: just sit up, Just let's run a survey. Just look
- 2:31Speaker 1: at your life where it's at. It might not be
- 2:33Speaker 1: where you wanted to be, but that's probably some decisions
- 2:35Speaker 1: you made. But really, though, in spite of all the
- 2:39Speaker 1: crazy mistakes out have made, I mean, man, I I
- 2:45Speaker 1: look back at some of the decisions I didn't came
- 2:47Speaker 1: up with and and man, it's it's it's just amazing
- 2:50Speaker 1: he let me live. I mean, it's it's and and
- 2:53Speaker 1: and to exist the way I exist, it does nothing
- 2:56Speaker 1: but grace, mercy, favor all that is. That's what my
- 3:00Speaker 1: mama praying for me when I wasn't praying for myself.
- 3:03Speaker 1: It had to be it, because, man, I can truly
- 3:05Speaker 1: tell you I have made enough mistakes man, stuff you
- 3:10Speaker 1: would never even know about, and recovered from them all
- 3:16Speaker 1: you can too, and I don't care what you've done.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Marvin Sapp has a song out that says he saw
- 3:22Speaker 1: the best in me when everyone else around me could
- 3:26Speaker 1: only see the worst in me. You know that that's
- 3:30Speaker 1: an important song man, especially you know. I want to
- 3:34Speaker 1: talk to men today because man, being a man is
- 3:41Speaker 1: so so difficult. Please no, it has been my quest
- 3:47Speaker 1: ever since I was a little boy. My father had
- 3:50Speaker 1: one ambition, son, I don't care what you do, but
- 3:55Speaker 1: when I get through raising you, you will be a man.
- 3:58Speaker 1: That's all I want you to be. He never cared
- 4:00Speaker 1: what I did for a living, and it never made
- 4:02Speaker 1: a difference to him. You're going to be a man.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Manhood is difficult now ladies just listening to this. I'm
- 4:09Speaker 1: not saying womanhood, ain't. I don't know what it takes
- 4:12Speaker 1: to be a woman, so you know, I'm I'm but
- 4:15Speaker 1: I do know exactly what it takes to be a man.
- 4:18Speaker 1: So you know, sometimes when you talk to people on
- 4:20Speaker 1: the radio, you have to preface things because people are
- 4:24Speaker 1: just go he trying to make it look like womanhood ain't. No,
- 4:26Speaker 1: That's not what I'm doing. I'm just talking to men
- 4:29Speaker 1: today to explain to them that dign by the self
- 4:32Speaker 1: and struggling trying to figure this thing out, that you
- 4:35Speaker 1: are not alone in your quest for manhood. That is difficult,
- 4:39Speaker 1: even though it's interesting. Yesterday, the Dating Game guy, he
- 4:42Speaker 1: said the reason I didn't get to say this on
- 4:44Speaker 1: the air, but I read his profile. He said one
- 4:47Speaker 1: of the reasons he was still single because he was
- 4:49Speaker 1: trying to find himself as a man. He was forted too.
- 4:53Speaker 1: But I'm I gotta I go. I gotta tell you,
- 4:55Speaker 1: man um manhood is that kind of difficult and becomes
- 5:00Speaker 1: even more compounded if a young boy does not have
- 5:04Speaker 1: a male role model. I've said it a thousand times,
- 5:08Speaker 1: I'll say it again. A young boy without a male
- 5:11Speaker 1: role model is like an explorer without a map. While
- 5:15Speaker 1: I have a suggestion for everybody that's struggling with manhood
- 5:19Speaker 1: and all of the men out there that are men.
- 5:21Speaker 1: This messages for all of us, and it's for me too.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You know. I was listening to Joyce Myers the other
- 5:27Speaker 1: day and um, she made a statement. She said, sometimes
- 5:31Speaker 1: you gotta do the right thing even when it feels wrong.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You know. One of the difficulties of manhood is pure
- 5:41Speaker 1: pressure and the misguided principles of manhood. See what God
- 5:47Speaker 1: wants us to be as men and what we believe
- 5:51Speaker 1: manhood is is sometimes two different things. Give you an example.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I wrote this book for women, right and I was
- 5:59Speaker 1: telling him the three ways that a man shows his love,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and I call him three p's. We profess, we protect,
- 6:07Speaker 1: and we provide. Every man who is a man, that's
- 6:11Speaker 1: how he exhibits love. We're not talkie talkie comforting with
- 6:15Speaker 1: our great nurturers. But when it comes down to to it,
- 6:18Speaker 1: what we all want to do, what is in our
- 6:20Speaker 1: day DNA, is to profess our love for something you
- 6:24Speaker 1: as a woman, to protect you as a woman, and
- 6:27Speaker 1: to provide for you as a woman. That's in our DNA. Now,
- 6:30Speaker 1: sometimes that gets messed up, and I'll give you an example.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Sometimes when a boy doesn't have the proper, real role
- 6:37Speaker 1: model in his life, he takes that principle of love
- 6:40Speaker 1: that we all possessing us every man, the professing part,
- 6:43Speaker 1: the protecting and the and the and the providing part,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and we misplay it. That's why gangs exist. Gangs exist
- 6:52Speaker 1: off those three principles. What's the first thing a gang
- 6:55Speaker 1: member do? He professed, He claimed the hood. That's the
- 6:59Speaker 1: first thing you do. This's neighborhood. I'm deuce, tray, I'm
- 7:02Speaker 1: triple h, I'm due, de dupe, I'm purple, I'm I'm red,
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm blue. The first thing they do is claim. That's professing.
- 7:09Speaker 1: That's how we show our love. But it's misguided though.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Now we're professing something that ain't even good for us.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Your hood, your gang, your click. Now guess what. Now
- 7:21Speaker 1: we got to protect it. So now as a protection
- 7:25Speaker 1: part of our love, here we go. You come down here,
- 7:29Speaker 1: we're gonna do this to you. You go over there,
- 7:31Speaker 1: they're gonna do that to you. You protect your hood,
- 7:34Speaker 1: this your turf, this all you got. You ain't nobody
- 7:37Speaker 1: coming down here. With blue owned. Can anybody come over
- 7:38Speaker 1: here with red on? You can't come over here with
- 7:40Speaker 1: purple on. You can't come over here with black and
- 7:42Speaker 1: gold on. And we and we protect that because that's
- 7:45Speaker 1: in our da name. And then what's the third thing
- 7:48Speaker 1: we provide? So guess what the game need money? Guess
- 7:51Speaker 1: what we do. We're selling drugs, We're selling women, we're
- 7:56Speaker 1: selling guns. It go back to the same thing. Man.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I don't know how God gave it to me that
- 8:02Speaker 1: way when I was writing a book, but he showed
- 8:04Speaker 1: it to me along the way. That's how men love well.
- 8:07Speaker 1: When you don't have a role model in your life.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Guess what? Not that love is misplaced, is misguided, It's
- 8:12Speaker 1: off track. Ain't no man told you that. Really you're
- 8:15Speaker 1: supposed to take this love and give it to a woman.
- 8:18Speaker 1: You're really supposed to profess, protect and provide for a woman,
- 8:21Speaker 1: not your gang set. Now you're professing your hood, repping
- 8:26Speaker 1: the color, you're protecting your territory, shooting people driving by
- 8:29Speaker 1: coming over you on your street. And then you provide.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Now you out here selling drugs and guns for the
- 8:33Speaker 1: same thing. When a boy does not have a male
- 8:36Speaker 1: role model, he has a misguided way of looking at manhood.
- 8:42Speaker 1: The reason I'm saying is today is cause fellas, this
- 8:45Speaker 1: is what I'm saying, cored tripping yourself out, man and
- 8:49Speaker 1: find out the type of man God wants you to be.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Here's the deal. See, God created all of us in
- 8:56Speaker 1: his image. That means He's put some of our DNA
- 8:59Speaker 1: in him. That's why it's in your DNA to profess,
- 9:02Speaker 1: protect and provide. Because guess what, that's what God do
- 9:06Speaker 1: for us, because we his children. God provides for us,
- 9:11Speaker 1: He protects us, and he professes his love for us.
- 9:15Speaker 1: He claims us, he died on the cross for us.
- 9:18Speaker 1: He done all that for us. I'm just talking to
- 9:21Speaker 1: me and right now, you don't want to be in
- 9:23Speaker 1: your house when the when the cop knocking on the dope.
- 9:26Speaker 1: You want to be laying the PC when my doughbell
- 9:28Speaker 1: rang and go answering because ain't no police coming over here,
- 9:31Speaker 1: cause I ain't done nothing for them to come. You
- 9:34Speaker 1: can't go to your dough like that. When you got
- 9:35Speaker 1: weed in the back, you got crack in the back,
- 9:38Speaker 1: you got cocaine in the back. You can't go answering
- 9:40Speaker 1: your dough. You hear that, you gotta start flushing tarlets
- 9:45Speaker 1: and stuff. Man, that's crazy. I'm just telling you, man,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I had to wake up about five years ago. I
- 9:51Speaker 1: wasn't doing what God wanted me to do, and then
- 9:54Speaker 1: he shook me. He said, Man, I'm gonna bring about
- 9:56Speaker 1: some changes in your life. I'm gonna call some things
- 9:59Speaker 1: to happen that's gonna put you in a position. And
- 10:02Speaker 1: this time you're gonna listen to me, because if you don't,
- 10:05Speaker 1: you're gonna keep living in this pain you've been in.
- 10:07Speaker 1: But you put yourself in this pain. I own no
- 10:10Speaker 1: blame to no one else but myself. Please know, I
- 10:14Speaker 1: know that. And that's how we really get to manhood.
- 10:17Speaker 1: When you figure out what you hadn't done wrong. You
- 10:19Speaker 1: can't blame this on none of your exes because you're
- 10:21Speaker 1: a man. You can't go my ex dear this. No, No,
- 10:24Speaker 1: you're a man. Partner. You gotta take responsibility for yours
- 10:28Speaker 1: and yours alone. If you got kids, you got to
- 10:31Speaker 1: get to him some kind of way. Write him a letter,
- 10:34Speaker 1: send them the money. If she won't let you see it,
- 10:37Speaker 1: for the money, whatever, send the money to a mama.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Do what you're supposed to do as a man. Do
- 10:42Speaker 1: what God wants you to do, man, because he's not
- 10:45Speaker 1: letting us off the hook for what we're supposed to
- 10:48Speaker 1: be just because you ain't doing it. And if you
- 10:50Speaker 1: do it, you turn your life around. Just holding that
- 10:53Speaker 1: the fellas today, that's all. Sorry about that. You're listening,
- 11:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen and everybody else. May I have your
- 11:04Speaker 1: attention please? This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Make
- 11:07Speaker 1: no mistake about it. Here it is. Ain't nothing else
- 11:10Speaker 1: to this. Good morning Shirley, Good morning Steve for real,
- 11:14Speaker 1: Good morning Steve, Hey, crew junior. Morning up Tom Tom,
- 11:21Speaker 1: big dog, it dog sitting up in here, trying to
- 11:25Speaker 1: be about it. Hustle and floor. That's it. How are
- 11:30Speaker 1: you feeling, Steve? Uh? You know, I'm actually really really good, excited.
- 11:37Speaker 1: It's a new day. I woke up. I'm grateful. I
- 11:42Speaker 1: got some plans, I got some dreams and stuff that
- 11:46Speaker 1: I want to accomplish. Yeah, I got the stuff written down.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I've been reworking everything. I write some most stuff down
- 11:54Speaker 1: this week. Man like you, who has so much and
- 11:59Speaker 1: who has been blessed so wonderfully and beautifully, what else
- 12:02Speaker 1: do you dream about? For the people? You know? I
- 12:05Speaker 1: got some bigger stuff. You know, I want to I
- 12:08Speaker 1: want to do some things to change some other people's lives.
- 12:12Speaker 1: H giving, that's right, you know, we are, thank you.
- 12:25Speaker 1: It's actually been on the list. You don't have to
- 12:26Speaker 1: worry about getting on there. I'm available for anybody. Won't
- 12:31Speaker 1: do something big man, you know, anybody want to do
- 12:35Speaker 1: something big. I'm looking to grow my company. Uh as
- 12:42Speaker 1: an international businessman. That's the thing that I've laid claim to. Well,
- 12:48Speaker 1: you know why I asked you that though? Why because
- 12:52Speaker 1: people people need to know. You know, you can still dream,
- 12:55Speaker 1: never stop dreaming, and never stop you know, believing in yourself.
- 12:59Speaker 1: And you know, just no matter how big, yeah, no
- 13:01Speaker 1: matter how big you are, you have a lot. But
- 13:03Speaker 1: there's some God or God is big and you know
- 13:05Speaker 1: he can do over and above. You know, there's a
- 13:08Speaker 1: scripture that says, um, a man without a dream or
- 13:14Speaker 1: vision shall perish. So you can't stop dreaming and you
- 13:19Speaker 1: can't stop having visions because I mean, if you don't
- 13:22Speaker 1: dream of nothing, if you if you don't want nothing else?
- 13:25Speaker 1: What what what's what's the waking up for? Ye? Then
- 13:27Speaker 1: go ahead and just go on right, yeah man, because
- 13:36Speaker 1: you've got to Yeah, man, you know, you know you
- 13:39Speaker 1: have to press and and I suggest that people aim
- 13:44Speaker 1: extremely high. I think people should. You should want stuff
- 13:50Speaker 1: that's in your imagination. Go way over there. If it's
- 13:56Speaker 1: in your imagination, if you've ever imagined it, won't it
- 14:01Speaker 1: won't it. That's that's where your real life is at.
- 14:06Speaker 1: It's in your imagination. So all the things that you
- 14:09Speaker 1: have now that you currently have, you you've dreamt about
- 14:12Speaker 1: them at some point in time, at one point in time,
- 14:16Speaker 1: even when I even even though some of this stuff
- 14:19Speaker 1: I didn't even know existing. That's what I was going up.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Can I tell you, Okay, when we come back, can
- 14:27Speaker 1: I share with you what that really is? Yeah? Yeah,
- 14:30Speaker 1: And I have a great story for you to Steve. Okay,
- 14:32Speaker 1: all right, when we come back, I'll tell you what
- 14:34Speaker 1: that is. We'll be right back at thirty two after
- 14:36Speaker 1: the hours you're listening to. Alright, Steve, we were talking
- 14:43Speaker 1: about dreams when we opened up, and um, we just
- 14:47Speaker 1: got into a great conversation about dreams and never stopped dreaming,
- 14:51Speaker 1: and you know things like that. And you were going
- 14:53Speaker 1: to tell us because Tommy was saying he was wondering
- 14:57Speaker 1: because I got some stuff that I didn't see you
- 15:02Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. Um, some of the stuff I
- 15:05Speaker 1: didn't imagine I was gonna get because I didn't know
- 15:08Speaker 1: it existed. You know what I mean? You know, people, people,
- 15:13Speaker 1: people gotta you gotta understand that party. When that happens
- 15:16Speaker 1: to you, that's called grace. M hm, that's called grace. See. Justice,
- 15:26Speaker 1: Mercy is when you don't get what you deserve. Justice
- 15:33Speaker 1: is when you get what you deserve. Grace is what
- 15:38Speaker 1: it is what you get that you don't deserve. Okay,
- 15:45Speaker 1: Grace is what you get that you don't deserve. Justice
- 15:50Speaker 1: is when you get what you deserve. Mercy is when
- 15:53Speaker 1: you don't get what you deserve. Say a lot, Oh
- 15:56Speaker 1: please Lord, have mercy on me, or mercy. But grace
- 16:00Speaker 1: it's when you get what you don't deserve. Anything today,
- 16:06Speaker 1: But yeah, getting right. That's right. You didn't write it
- 16:10Speaker 1: down on a piece of paper. You didn't hope for.
- 16:12Speaker 1: It wasn't on your list of things to accomplish. The
- 16:16Speaker 1: next thing, you know, you were there and and and
- 16:20Speaker 1: like you say, and and time is because you've been
- 16:23Speaker 1: just putting in some work. And so when you put
- 16:26Speaker 1: in the work with the faith, what God does is
- 16:30Speaker 1: he puts some grace on it. And that is where
- 16:34Speaker 1: it gets crazy for you. And he just keeps pouring
- 16:38Speaker 1: on you. And and and what I had to learn
- 16:41Speaker 1: was you hear old people talk about this is your season.
- 16:45Speaker 1: What you have to remember about your season is you
- 16:48Speaker 1: cannot look at seasons like seasons in the calendar year.
- 16:52Speaker 1: When it comes to God, like this is your season,
- 16:56Speaker 1: like this is your spring and summer. A season to
- 17:00Speaker 1: God can be thirty years. Yeah, a season for God
- 17:05Speaker 1: could be twelve years. Well, you know, when it's your season, man,
- 17:12Speaker 1: don't be scared about it drying up. M this is
- 17:17Speaker 1: your season. You ain't got to worry about it drying up.
- 17:21Speaker 1: God don't do droughts. He does when he when he
- 17:26Speaker 1: when he's giving you the stuff that's in your season,
- 17:29Speaker 1: it's your time to harvest. It's it's your time to reap.
- 17:35Speaker 1: And it ain't no time limit on that, even if
- 17:40Speaker 1: you have a dog day in the middle of the
- 17:42Speaker 1: heart about that. See, yeah, so you can't go always
- 17:49Speaker 1: over for me. Now, well against my season, it's up
- 17:53Speaker 1: here comes so and so again, Man, so and so
- 17:57Speaker 1: just a rainstorm today, It's gonna he sunny tomorrow. And
- 18:01Speaker 1: you go right on back out there, picking them grapes,
- 18:03Speaker 1: picking them apples out your orchid. That's that's what I'm
- 18:09Speaker 1: I learned more and more about that as I get older. Okay,
- 18:14Speaker 1: all right, well that was a good lesson. Thank you. Yeah,
- 18:17Speaker 1: some people need to hear that I did, because you
- 18:23Speaker 1: know what, a lot of times I'm saying stuff, it's
- 18:26Speaker 1: because faith comes from hearing, not from having heard. See,
- 18:34Speaker 1: you got to hear something at a certain time for
- 18:37Speaker 1: what to click in you did, see, faith don't come
- 18:41Speaker 1: from having her Well I heard that long time ago. No, No,
- 18:44Speaker 1: something happened to you right now to make it click
- 18:47Speaker 1: for you. Oh lord, I believe that faith comes from hearing,
- 18:52Speaker 1: not from having heard. So that's why sometimes when I'm
- 18:55Speaker 1: repeating this, even though I've heard it before, it's for
- 19:00Speaker 1: me because it replenishes and restores my faith that I
- 19:04Speaker 1: need to continue my journey. Yeah, they stay hearing and listening.
- 19:09Speaker 1: There's two different things. Boy, that's right. I can't boy, man,
- 19:18Speaker 1: wait a minute. That was good. It was see every
- 19:25Speaker 1: now and then Junior, he gonna say something that's stunning, stunned.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I was like, damn dog, you'd be going, what's that?
- 19:34Speaker 1: Tommy was that nephew Tommy's that Mr Miles you speaking
- 19:45Speaker 1: because you know, Nephew Tommy got none of it. Now
- 19:50Speaker 1: let me see if I can get to this other story, Steve,
- 19:52Speaker 1: this is this is fun funny. A woman was busted
- 19:56Speaker 1: having an affair after her Uber driver turned out to
- 20:00Speaker 1: be her husband. This is just an awkward case of
- 20:06Speaker 1: my mistaken identity. Uh. This all happened as a Colombian
- 20:10Speaker 1: woman was meeting up with her boyfriend. The pair called
- 20:13Speaker 1: an Uber to take them to a motel and you know,
- 20:16Speaker 1: so they could have a little privacy. Uh. The woman,
- 20:18Speaker 1: identified as Yemmy and her boyfriend hey Zeus, confirmed that
- 20:23Speaker 1: they did not know the driver before they booked the ride.
- 20:26Speaker 1: They thought the driver was a man named Leonardo, but
- 20:28Speaker 1: when they got into the car, they realized the driver
- 20:32Speaker 1: was actually the woman's husband. I'm driving off, I don't notice. Yeah,
- 20:50Speaker 1: that's okay. Turns out her her husband had borrowed his
- 20:55Speaker 1: friend's car and Uber account to work as the driver
- 20:59Speaker 1: that night. Alright, but just so you know, it is
- 21:02Speaker 1: against Uber rules and their policy for people to work. Yeah,
- 21:06Speaker 1: you can't do that, but he did it. You're not
- 21:08Speaker 1: supposed to do that. You can't do it. You're not
- 21:10Speaker 1: supposed to use another driver any of that. Yeah, we
- 21:13Speaker 1: sit in the car and it's from the front. He Hey, baby, Hey,

- 30:35Speaker 1: Bill Cosby's first week in prison and Samuel L. Jackson
- 30:38Speaker 1: reacts to the Kavanaugh pulp fiction viral video that's coming
- 30:42Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. Right after this,
- 30:44Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Bill Cosby
- 30:50Speaker 1: has been in prison for one week, and TMZ is
- 30:54Speaker 1: reporting that it hasn't been all that bad for him.
- 30:56Speaker 1: According to sources, Mr Cosby spends his a's chatting with
- 31:01Speaker 1: the prison staff and just strolling around the prison guards.
- 31:04Speaker 1: You know, he still has not get entered the general population,
- 31:08Speaker 1: which is likely for his own protection. They're saying. He
- 31:11Speaker 1: eats breakfast in his cell every day and then lunch
- 31:14Speaker 1: and dinner. He'll do that either in a cell or
- 31:17Speaker 1: in an open room now since he is legally blind,
- 31:20Speaker 1: let's not forget about that. Kasby does have a personal
- 31:23Speaker 1: guide who walks him around the prison. Uh, to the library,
- 31:27Speaker 1: to the yard, and to other facilities. TMZ also learned
- 31:31Speaker 1: that he's been able to speak with his wife Camille
- 31:34Speaker 1: on the phone every single day for just for a
- 31:37Speaker 1: few minutes though, and most likely they talk about his appeal.
- 31:41Speaker 1: And uh, it won't be until next week when he'll
- 31:44Speaker 1: be able to have some visitors come and see. Yeah, here,
- 31:47Speaker 1: nobody on the outside. It ain't been that they They
- 31:52Speaker 1: ain't in there two weeks usually of orientation to prison
- 32:00Speaker 1: and then they put you in general population. He'll probably
- 32:03Speaker 1: go straight to protective custody because he's a high profile case. Uh.
- 32:08Speaker 1: And if they do well, they have protective custody every yees. Yeah,
- 32:13Speaker 1: you can't just dump people in there with with them
- 32:16Speaker 1: boys that ain't ever get Now, let me ask you
- 32:23Speaker 1: if he got a guy, is that a prisoner or
- 32:26Speaker 1: someone that works? Yeah, well, you come on, because you
- 32:31Speaker 1: know they have people who work at the hospital in
- 32:33Speaker 1: the medical department that pushed the guys to their appointments
- 32:38Speaker 1: and you know, in wheal chairs and stuff like that.
- 32:40Speaker 1: They got that's like a job within the prison often times.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Trust yeah, ain't nobody coming in to do that. What
- 32:48Speaker 1: you don't want to be is a non inmate working
- 32:51Speaker 1: around the inmates. Yeah, and you hate to go that.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Ain't no life. I had to deliver a paint to
- 33:00Speaker 1: the prison. Yeah, the prisons waving in the prison. I
- 33:04Speaker 1: didn't move that truck. I need somebody with a uniform off.
- 33:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, come on, now, where is somebody who free?
- 33:16Speaker 1: Who get to go home? Yeah? Yeah. What you can't
- 33:21Speaker 1: do is just be surrounded by everybody locked up because
- 33:26Speaker 1: they company. Yeah no, left that paint at the gate
- 33:31Speaker 1: every damn time. I had to put the truck in there,
- 33:33Speaker 1: but all the people that worked that came out. Then
- 33:35Speaker 1: I wouldn't move because the inmates said, come in, you'll
- 33:39Speaker 1: tell me what. Come on a little started. Let me
- 33:49Speaker 1: tell you about this Samuel ol Jackson story too. If
- 33:52Speaker 1: you spend any time online, you may have noticed this
- 33:55Speaker 1: viral video going around that feature Samuel l his character
- 33:59Speaker 1: from pulp fiction. Remember that character grilling Supreme Court nominee
- 34:03Speaker 1: Brett Kavanaugh If you haven't seen it, The video combines
- 34:06Speaker 1: clips from Kavanaugh's testimony in response to Dr cuisine Christine
- 34:10Speaker 1: Blasi Ford's sexual assault allegations against him, with clips from
- 34:15Speaker 1: Samuel's iconic monologue from the beginning of the movie UH.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Samuel L's character also rose Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, and
- 34:24Speaker 1: so far my visional viral clip has racked up pens
- 34:28Speaker 1: of thousands of retweets and likes on Twitter. Samuel L.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Jackson gave a clip his stamp of approval UH and
- 34:34Speaker 1: called it funny as heck. He said it was funny.
- 34:38Speaker 1: All right, Steve, let's move on. It is time for
- 34:41Speaker 1: today's headline. Well, ladies, gentlemen, miss and Trip, thank you
- 34:46Speaker 1: very much, everybody. This is and Trip everyone. UH. SENA
- 34:48Speaker 1: Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says that full Senate is going
- 34:51Speaker 1: to vote on President Trump's pick for the Supreme Court
- 34:53Speaker 1: later this week and that the FBI should complete his
- 34:56Speaker 1: supplemental background check on Brett Kavanaugh maybe by the end
- 34:59Speaker 1: of today actual lee and submit its report. It will
- 35:01Speaker 1: be made available to each Senator and only senators will
- 35:06Speaker 1: be allowed to look at it, and that's the way
- 35:08Speaker 1: these reports are always handled. Meanwhile, more than five fronted
- 35:11Speaker 1: law professors from close to one hundred law schools around
- 35:14Speaker 1: the country, including Yale, have signed on to a llwage
- 35:16Speaker 1: to the Senate, saying that the volatile temperament displayed by
- 35:20Speaker 1: Kavanaugh during last week's appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee
- 35:23Speaker 1: should disqualify him from sitting on the nation's highest court.
- 35:26Speaker 1: And now, Judge Kavanaugh has announced that he will not
- 35:29Speaker 1: be teaching a course at Harvard Law School he was
- 35:31Speaker 1: supposed to this coming January. He doesn't give a reason, however,
- 35:34Speaker 1: word is at least eight hundred Harvard Law School alums
- 35:37Speaker 1: signed a letter calling the school to rescind the High
- 35:39Speaker 1: Court nominees lecturer appointment because the sexual and physical assault
- 35:43Speaker 1: charges made against him quote recredible, grave and called into
- 35:47Speaker 1: question his character and morality. In Chicago yesterday, the white
- 35:51Speaker 1: cop charge of murdering a black teenage named Kwon McDonald
- 35:54Speaker 1: in two thousand and fourteen took to the witness stand.
- 35:57Speaker 1: LaQuan was only suspected of using a small knife to
- 35:59Speaker 1: puncture years that night. Obviously, Jason mcdyg Vandyke, though, said
- 36:03Speaker 1: he had no choice but to kill the kids yelling
- 36:05Speaker 1: at him. Dropped the knife. I yelled, I don't know
- 36:08Speaker 1: how many times, but that's all I all, I yelled,
- 36:11Speaker 1: and did he keep it advancing forward? He never stopped.
- 36:15Speaker 1: How close did you get to you? Probably about ten
- 36:18Speaker 1: to fifteen feet away from me. Guys are bugged now.
- 36:21Speaker 1: His face was just expressionless. He waved the knife from
- 36:26Speaker 1: his lower right side upwards across his body towards my
- 36:30Speaker 1: left shoulder. And when he did that, what did you do? Often?
- 36:34Speaker 1: I shot him? You know how many shots? TI? No?
- 36:38Speaker 1: What happened when he started shooting? I'm sorry? What happened
- 36:41Speaker 1: when you started shooting? I'm sorry? Could you repeat the
- 36:44Speaker 1: police what happened to with Kawan McDonald when he started
- 36:47Speaker 1: to shoot? Eventually he fell to the ground. Did he
- 36:49Speaker 1: ever drop that knife? No? After you realized that he
- 36:53Speaker 1: fell in the ground, did you stop shooting? Once I
- 36:55Speaker 1: recognized that he was on the ground, and I stopped shooting.
- 36:58Speaker 1: He shot him sixteen times. Prosecute say the dash cam
- 37:01Speaker 1: video doesn't show any of that flailing around with the knife.
- 37:04Speaker 1: It just shows that Lakwan was walking away from him,
- 37:07Speaker 1: and that he was on the ground, and that Officer
- 37:09Speaker 1: Van Dyke shot him sixteen times. Prosecutors in Virginia charged
- 37:13Speaker 1: fore Man in connection with last year's races violence in Charlottesville,
- 37:17Speaker 1: U S attorney Thomas Cullen among other victims. On Second Street.
- 37:20Speaker 1: These men assaulted an African American man, two females, and
- 37:25Speaker 1: a minister wearing a clerical college. They can all get
- 37:28Speaker 1: to ten years in prison if they're convicted. Finally, today
- 37:32Speaker 1: is hold on to your Money Day. And that's if
- 37:37Speaker 1: we want Moon money, Moon money, Moon money ears up.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Steve Harvard Nation find out if uncle Steves Smartland his
- 37:42Speaker 1: nephew back in twenty minutes after the hour and the
- 37:44Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show you're listening to show today in politics, Well, Steve,
- 37:51Speaker 1: you were right again, um this time about Donald Trump's
- 37:55Speaker 1: taxes because you told us even before he he ran
- 37:58Speaker 1: and all that about the women. Now you know we
- 38:01Speaker 1: recalled when you told us about his taxes. Well, the
- 38:04Speaker 1: New York Times is reporting that President Trump made millions
- 38:08Speaker 1: by helping his family dodge taxes. They didn't pay any
- 38:12Speaker 1: taxes with the help of Donald Trump. The president was
- 38:16Speaker 1: a millionaire by the age of eight due to his
- 38:20Speaker 1: eight years due to his father's empire. The Times investigation
- 38:27Speaker 1: with a Trump lawyer, of which a Trump lawyer, Charles Harder,
- 38:31Speaker 1: said it was an accurate showed Mr Trump had received
- 38:35Speaker 1: the equivalent today of at least four hundred and thirteen
- 38:39Speaker 1: million dollars from his dad's real estate business. Yeah, that's
- 38:43Speaker 1: a lot, a lot of money. Four hundred and thirteen
- 38:45Speaker 1: million dollars in today's money. It's equivalent to four hundred
- 38:52Speaker 1: thirteen million today. Okay, the time, Yeah, you did, you
- 38:58Speaker 1: did the time. Not just to listen to me. He
- 39:03Speaker 1: got way more than a million dollars from his from
- 39:07Speaker 1: his dad, way more. No, see, ain't no million dollars,
- 39:11Speaker 1: that's what he said when he has campaigning. There's no
- 39:15Speaker 1: one million dollars that has turned into four hundred millions
- 39:19Speaker 1: somebody lifetime. But what at that hunt? Well, The Times
- 39:27Speaker 1: reported that much of that fortune came to Trump because
- 39:30Speaker 1: he helped his parents evade taxes, setting up fake a
- 39:34Speaker 1: fake corporation with his siblings to disguise millions of dollars
- 39:37Speaker 1: in gifts from their parents. During his presidential campaign, Mr
- 39:42Speaker 1: Trump promoted himself as a self made real estate mogul
- 39:45Speaker 1: who started out with only a very small loan from
- 39:48Speaker 1: his businessman father, Fred Trump. No, no, no, see they
- 39:54Speaker 1: don't understand how much money his father actually gave him.
- 39:59Speaker 1: He he's not self made. If he was self made,
- 40:03Speaker 1: he would be a lot more compassionate. He was given everything.
- 40:09Speaker 1: It's nothing wrong with that. But you also got to understand. Now,
- 40:12Speaker 1: you know he didn't break any laws. You know, no,
- 40:18Speaker 1: he didn't break any laws. He's saying he broke a law.
- 40:23Speaker 1: They're definitely looking into it. These are tax evasion is
- 40:26Speaker 1: a law. These are brand new developments. Listen to me.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Tax evasion is a law, tax avoidiance. That tax evasion

- 54:35Speaker 1: the pimp. So cool. That's remember that made boxes. Yeah,
- 54:48Speaker 1: it was beautiful. That was so pretty that yeah, oh

- 55:44Speaker 1: one right now, and hold on tight here it is
- 55:48Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter subject my friends freaky husband. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 55:54Speaker 1: My best friend and I have been the best of
- 55:56Speaker 1: friends for over ten years. I met her and her
- 55:59Speaker 1: husband at the same time, and we all just hit
- 56:02Speaker 1: it off. One day, I was at their place, sitting
- 56:05Speaker 1: on the couch and my boyfriend was sitting next to me.
- 56:08Speaker 1: My best friend's husband was in the other room. I
- 56:11Speaker 1: looked up and her husband was standing in the other room,
- 56:14Speaker 1: rubbing on himself while looking directly at me. I was
- 56:18Speaker 1: so shocked that I quickly turned my head and didn't
- 56:21Speaker 1: say a word. The next day, I called him and
- 56:25Speaker 1: told him that he is disgusting and if it ever
- 56:28Speaker 1: happened again, I would tell her. When I first met her,
- 56:32Speaker 1: she would always tell me how most of her girlfriends
- 56:35Speaker 1: want her man and it's always been a problem. Well,
- 56:38Speaker 1: not this time. I don't want anything to do with him. Recently,
- 56:43Speaker 1: I was talking to another friend and I found out
- 56:46Speaker 1: that he did the same thing to her, and her
- 56:48Speaker 1: younger sister was with her and she saw it too.
- 56:52Speaker 1: And talking to more of our girlfriends, we learned that
- 56:55Speaker 1: there are rumors at his job of him having sex
- 56:58Speaker 1: in the supply closet with one of as coworkers. My
- 57:01Speaker 1: best friend's cousin, Yeah, and the supply closet steve with
- 57:06Speaker 1: one of her co workers. My best friend's cousin told
- 57:09Speaker 1: her about that rumor, and she chose to believe her husband,
- 57:13Speaker 1: and then she stopped talking to her cousin. My best
- 57:16Speaker 1: friend's husband is a real life pervert and he does
- 57:20Speaker 1: not care who he offends. Now. In the meantime, my
- 57:24Speaker 1: friend has been seeing her ex on the side, but
- 57:27Speaker 1: they haven't had sex yet. Do you think I should
- 57:31Speaker 1: tell my friend about her nasty husband. I feel like
- 57:34Speaker 1: we're close enough that she will believe me. Or should
- 57:36Speaker 1: I mind my business and leave this freaky couple alone?
- 57:41Speaker 1: I think you already know the answer, don't you. You
- 57:44Speaker 1: already know what you're supposed to do. Mind your business?
- 57:47Speaker 1: Boo uh. You see what happened with her cousin. She's
- 57:50Speaker 1: she's not trying to hear any of this. She's not
- 57:53Speaker 1: And if you tell her about her freaky husband as
- 57:56Speaker 1: you call him, she's gonna treat you the same way.
- 58:00Speaker 1: How can she not know about him though? I mean
- 58:02Speaker 1: they you know they've been together for a while. You
- 58:05Speaker 1: guys have been hanging out for a while. Uh. Everybody
- 58:09Speaker 1: knows about the supply closet, all the girl friends. When
- 58:12Speaker 1: you sit down and compare notes, everybody knows this. She's
- 58:16Speaker 1: got to know it too. Uh. And and you know what,
- 58:19Speaker 1: speaking of her the wife, I was feeling, you know,
- 58:21Speaker 1: sympathy for her, I really was. I was feeling you know,
- 58:24Speaker 1: sorry for her in a sense until the last few
- 58:27Speaker 1: sentences of the letter when you said she's seeing her
- 58:30Speaker 1: X on the side, but they haven't head section this.
- 58:34Speaker 1: This is a mess right here. This is a mess. Um.
- 58:38Speaker 1: Is everyone out of their minds in this relationship? I
- 58:41Speaker 1: don't understand. Uh. Please please stay out of this crazy
- 58:45Speaker 1: match mass. You already know the answer. Mind your own
- 58:48Speaker 1: business and leave these people alone. Um. They know what
- 58:51Speaker 1: they're doing and you don't need to get involved in this, Okay.
- 58:55Speaker 1: I tell you one thing though, You should tell you man.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Why not tell him and then see if the husband
- 59:02Speaker 1: does that again? Steve? Um, Well, you can't tell you man,
- 59:08Speaker 1: uh what the dude did because you was over they house.
- 59:13Speaker 1: So ain't no need you telling your man that you
- 59:16Speaker 1: was over they house and he was in another room
- 59:19Speaker 1: looking at you rubbing himself. Because it ain't a damn
- 59:22Speaker 1: thing he can say to that man in his own house,
- 59:26Speaker 1: So she can't do that. Ship Huh, Tom, Okay, I
- 59:34Speaker 1: mean man did something crazy. He can't know. What I'm
- 59:37Speaker 1: saying is he can't say that. The man can't say
- 59:41Speaker 1: nothing to the other man. If Shirley come over my
- 59:44Speaker 1: house with her boyfriend and I'm married and I'm looking
- 59:49Speaker 1: at Shirley and I'm in my house rubbing myself, and
- 59:53Speaker 1: then Shirley tell her boyfriend her boyfriend can't come to
- 59:56Speaker 1: me and say a damn thing. Oh, we was in
- 59:58Speaker 1: my house. Steve, that sounds crazy. What do you mean
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: it sounds crazy? It does? It sounds crazy. It doesn't
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: matter if you guys were in his house. He could
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: still her. Man can still say something. He can still
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: step to the husband about offending his girl. He could
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: still do that. Surely. Do you know what that's gonna
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: lead to? Yeah? I do, Yeah, absolutely do. Yeah. But
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: probably your he was offended, you know, he offended her.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: He can't. He can't go to that man about something
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: he did in his house. He didn't see. I'm just
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: telling y'all that ain't high work. You go, I tell
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: you what's gonna do it. See what happened? He say
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: he could say something if he saw him do it
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: in his in the house. What he what? You go?
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: You at another man house? He doing something freaky in
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: his house? No, see, Shirley, she looked at this man,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: she said, No, the couch next to her boyfriend. She
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: looked back in the kitchen, this man looking at her,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: rubbing himself. She turned and tell her Boyfrid. All they
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: can do is get up and get out. All she
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: did was look up though, I mean, you know, but Shirley,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: And all he did was rubbed himself looking at her.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: He did, Shirley, But Shirley, you when you in this
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: man's house, you can't say what he can do in
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: his house. Now, if you're in the workplace, that's sexual harassment.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: You come into man's house and and that happened right there. No, no, sir,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: you're not an employee or nothing. All right, Well, okay,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: we'll just answer the letter. Then go ahead and answer it.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: I'm just telling you you say something if you want to,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: but you completely out of line. And if it's starting
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: to something, you're the one wrong because you you can't
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: you can't tact this man in his house. This his house.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Maybe he go on the kitchen to rub himself. That's
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: what are you going to kitchen? I'm looking at her
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: while he's doing it this couch. But okay, all he
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: got to do is say, I go in my kitchen
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: and I looked at my couch and rubs myself. The
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: fact that just sticking on that couch sounds crazy. But
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: you cartag to court. You you can't when we can't
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: going to court, Steve. But she's just going to her man.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: You tell him what you're gonna get. You're gonna get
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: your man as well, get his. Surely you ain't in
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: a position. What do you girl? You ain't got no
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: beers over the food house? They're friends. What do you
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: mean they're they hang out together all the time. Your
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: girl working out? Is something wrong with tommy? So are
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: we talk? Well? You just you just give an answer
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: to the letter when we come back. Okay, we're just stuck.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: I was doing that. Okay, you ain't like my answer
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: cause he wouldn't need the same as your All right,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: we're gonna come back and get Part two of Steve's
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: response to the letter at after Okay, my friend's freaky
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: husband apparently it's okay if he's at his own house.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: You're listening to show all right, here we are part
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: two of the letter subject my friend's freaky husband. Now,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: let me explain something to you all. It's ain't no
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: need us trying to reset this letter because obviously it
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: ain't gonna go. So just let me tell you a
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: couple of things. Here's a lady with her boyfriend to
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: her best friend house. They've been free and for years.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Her husband is freaky. She discovers it on her own
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: because she's sitting on the couch next to her boyfriend.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: She looked up the man in the kitchen, rubbing his
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: self staring at her. Got it, got it, got it,
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: Shirleys said in her response, she should say something to
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: her boyfriend. My argument with that was, it's nothing the
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: boyfriend can say to this man in his house. That's
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: the point I'm trying to make. You can't say nothing
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: to this man in his house. Then it got to said,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: but she felt, you know, some type of way because
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: this man was doing this. But see that could be
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: what he do in his house. See, once you go
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: over to other person's house, they got different rules in
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: the house and if you don't like a person's rules
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: at their house, you can't go to their house. So
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: I had a partner. Man, every time you go over there,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: he had kids. Everything. He smoked weed in front of
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: his kids and everything. I didn't like that. So when
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: I went over there and he smoked weed and his
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: kids in the room, I got I had to go.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: I couldn't dog even when I mentioned it to her,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: I said, dog, you think it's cool smoke weed? Run
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: these kids? Hey, man in my house? Okay see I
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: got to get out now because he said, it's my house. Okay, man,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: you're messing your kids up. Though. What stupid as kids
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: are there? They can't even color? No, seriously, his kids
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: couldn't even color. We ain't no colors, ain't nothing. Now
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: here's the other deal. I was so shocked I quickly
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: turned my head and didn't say. Well. The next day,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: now here where it got crazy. Now this is where
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: she too should have told her man. But the next
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: day I called him, right what this letter? Crazy? You
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: called a man and told him he was disgusting, And
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: if it ever happened again, I would tell her why
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: you call this man? I just felt like that was
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: wrong that. It's so many things that can go wrong.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: You calling her husband to tell her husband he's disgusting.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I just felt like you shouldn't have did that. There
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: was a better move. Well, if you're gonna do it,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: you're gonna tell your boyfriend when y'all get home. Look,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: I don't I didn't like that. I've looked up he
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: was doing this. Then your boyfriend's best mood would say
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: he was doing what. Hey, we ain't going back over there.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: We threw food with them. What the boyfriend can't do
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: is confront this man about what he did in his house,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: because even let's say, let's say it results in a fight, okay,
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: and then we had to fill out a police report.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Do you know when the police report get filed out
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: and you say I was defending her honor because she
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: said he was she was disgusting because she looked up
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: he was rubbing himself in his house. He was in
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: his house. Son, Did he touch her? No? I'm just
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: that's that's just how it's gonna go. And that's all
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: the response I gonna make to this matter. Because I
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: don't like my crew's attitude about this. I'm not no,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I really don't like y'alls. Y'all disgusted with me and
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I on the break that I was talking too much.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: I was talking too much, talk throughst No, No, it's
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: all good. But I'm just telling y'all just the way
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: it really work in real life. And if you fill
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: out a police report from a whipping that you wouldn't
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: jumped on this man for rubbing on himself? Who are
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: looking at your girl in his house? That ain't a case, partner.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I can't. I can't. I can't whip as nowhere else? Yes,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: you can. You can ask wherever you want. I'm just
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: telling you when the police report get filled out and
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: you say, why did you whip his ass? Well, my
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: my girlfriend told me when he was over his house
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: and he was rubbing himself, looking at him and where
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: were you? Did he touch it? No? Did he say
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: something to it? No? And where were y'all at his house?
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Excuse me, sir, he coming back to his house, He
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: was in his house rubbing himself, and you didn't jumped
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: on him? Down here to drive the Okay, I guess
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: you're being charged with the salt, yeah, because it was
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: after the fact. Now and okay, okay, Now let's imagine
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: she tells it to him on the sofa himself, and
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: then he go over there and whipped the man ass.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Guess what he gonna get charged with a salt and
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: he going to jail. Yea man, I understand saying. This
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: isn't a domestic violence case. This would be two dudes
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: getting in the fight over something that the girlfriend said happened.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: And as he said, she said at that point, and
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: she saying he was rubbing himself and it was disgusted.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: But he in his house, they say, the case show.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: So I noticed. He's upsetting me, y'all because y'all thinking,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: I'm saying that the man got the right to do
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: what he want to do because he in his house.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: And that's damn near what I'm saying. Yeah, that is
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: what you're saying. They called. I think when what people
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: do in their home, once you into their home, you
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: in their zone. If they Satan worshippers, if they into
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: emin s if whatever they're doing and you go to
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: the hon ain't no needing you tripping for dinner? Candy? Yeah,
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: ain't me you getting mad after damn candy and we're
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: having candy for dinner. You can't get mad at the
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: people cause they eat candy for dinner. Don't all right, listen,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: please email us or Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: strawberry laws. Second thought, don't Dave Harvey f M I
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: know right, or at my girls, Shirley come up? Coming
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: up in about ten minutes, the President says, this is
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: a scary time for young men in America. Wow, and
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: the president Yeah, And the President mocked Dr Christine Blasi Ford. Wow.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: Who is this guy? Yeah, that's coming up right after this.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: You're listening to the stew President Trump continued his defense
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Tuesday of his Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, sang, boy,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: this statement right here, it's a very scary time for
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: young men in America because of the possibility of false accusations.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Take a listen to this. Well, I say that it's
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: a very scary time for young men in America when
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: you can be guilty of something that you may not
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: be guilty of. This is a very difficult time. What's
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: happening here has much more to do than even the
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: appointment of a Supreme Court justice. It really does. You
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: could be somebody that was perfect your entire life and
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: somebody could accuse you of something. Doesn't necessarily have to
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: be a woman, as everybody says, But somebody could accuse
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: you of something and you're automatically guilty. But in this realm,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: you are truly guilty until proven understad That's one of
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: the very very bad things that's taking place right now.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: He is a problem with that statement. If this is
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: a difficult time in our country right now for young men,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: I'm just assuming, since it's a difficult time for young
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: men now, it had to have been a horrific time
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: for women back being well, he never mentioned that, and
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: that's the problem. But that's what I'm saying. See, if
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: you're coming to the aid, if this is a difficult
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: time for young men in our country right now, how
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: difficult of a time must it have been for women
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: for all these years who couldn't come forward, who didn't
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: have the platform, the back, and the strength. Because if
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: you come forward like this woman did and make this
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: accusation and all of a sudden you have a Senate
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: hearing and a president slamming you, Wow, how much coming
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: forward does a woman have in her? And this is
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: why they don't come forward because stuff like this, Yeah,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: so if this is a difficult time for young men
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: right now? Now what this president? Probably, I can't even
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: guess what. Probably he doesn't even make any sense. Also,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: did you see the president mock Dr Christine Blaise Ford
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: at a rally he was in Mississippi on Tuesday night before,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: intimating that she belongs to a group of really really
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: evil people. Uh set out to destroy other people's lives.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: Take a listen to this what he's going through. Thirty
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: six years ago this happened. I had one beer, right,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: I had one beer? Well do you think it was no?
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: There was one beer? Oh good? How did you get home?
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: I don't remember how did you get there? I don't remember.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: Where is the place? I don't remember. How many years
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: ago was it? I don't know. I don't know. I
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know what neighborhood was it. And
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I don't know. Where's the house. I don't know upstairs? Downstairs?
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Where was I don't know? But I had one beer.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: That's the only thing I remember. And a man's life
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: is in tatters. A man's life is shattered, His wife
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: has shattered, his daughters, who are beautiful and credible young kids.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: They destroy people. They want to destroy people. These are
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: really evil people. How life and that night couldn't have
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: been a pick hick for her. So when he see
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: the problem with Trump is he goes to these UH
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: fan base rallies where his base comes out. They handpick
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: who they put behind him. They make sure that Trump lovers,
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: they sell tickets. They come and he does a set.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: He does just a comedic set. He comes in, he's
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: doing jokes. He's got a routine worked out. You're the president, man,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: you're the president. What are you doing a routine for
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: the president? It really is embarrassed. He is the worst
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: person to be leading supposedly the greatest nation in the world.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: We have the worst representative that you can have for
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: what America is supposed to represent, fair and equal. Bring
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: me your huddle masses. We might as well knock that
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: statue of liberty down while he the president, because that
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: little slogan over that bring me your huddle masses only
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: refers if you're coming probably out of the West Europe.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Just say it probably the west. You can come in
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: from the West, and you can come in from Europe
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: anywhere south of Europe. Let's just tell the truth. Anybody
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: with pigmentation in their skin pretty much is out. So
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: the president of the United States just made fun of
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: a woman who claimed she was sexually assaulted and he
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: made fun of her at a campaign rally state of Mississippi.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: That's what he did. And he had and he had
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: thousands hearing while he did it. That's the other part. Yeah,
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: November six is election day, midterm election day. Please people
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: register to vote and get out and vote. That's the
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: one way we can make it. And you know something,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: man about Donald Trump, Uh, he's not funny at all.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: But his attempts at humor, Man, it's in bad taste
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: all the time. I mean, man, that that marking that
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: woman who this was really real for this woman. This
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: woman ain't making up none of this. Now. I got
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: what you're saying. This man's life is destroyed. I got
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: that part you're saying, his lovely wife and his beautiful children.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: I got that all of this could have been avoided.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Had I don't know how, you know, man, I would
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: have I would be a little bit more accepting of
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: this guy. If he said, you know, I got drunk
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: in high school. I was seventeen years old. I was
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: aggressive towards this woman. It's one of the horrific mistakes
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: of my life. I changed and became a better person. Yeah,
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: second chances I could. I could listen to that, but
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: when you lie about it trying to paint that Sunday
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: School picture man a choir boy interview. All right, we
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: gotta go, guys, we gotta move on. Coming up at
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: the top of the hour. Uh, do you still want
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: to work till the day you die? If possible? Do you?
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: We'll talk about that when we come back right after this.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: You're listening to show. All right, here's a question for you, guys.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Do you still want to work till the day you
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: die if it's possible? All right? Because you know everybody
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: says if if if you do what you love for
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: a living, then it's never really work, right, You've all
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: heard that that statement. But don't you think even if
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: you do love what you do is a time to retire?
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: And you know, maybe you want to enjoy other things
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: in life. So what do you guys think? Steve? We'll
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: start with you. Uh, do you love what you do?
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: When we know you do? Do you love it so
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: much that you don't ever want to retire? So what
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: would you do every day if you retired, I mean,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: because you love work, you work all the time. I
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: work when I retire doing what golf? Yeah, that's what
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: would you do? Is that that's what you're working on? Yeah,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: be on a boat yachting? Uh? What else? Would I still? Mental? Boys?
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: But if I had a billion dollars, if somebody says, Steve,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: you take a billion dollars and never appear on television again.
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: A billion? Yeah, who wouldn't take that ideal? I take
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: less than knocking cameras crew as you go back camera.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: I'll actually take less than you were just golfing yard
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: and mentor and mental kids and try to show some
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: other people how to be called successful. That's so yeah,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: that's what that's what I do, teaching people. Yeah, open
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: up a bunch of stuff. That be about it. Though,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: I damn sure won't be standing on here. I ain't
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: got on my last radio show that huh? After this?
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: This is it? Yeah, girl, I want you're not gonna
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: stop until you get a billion. I mean that's my
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: goal is to be a billionaire. I'd like to see it.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: That's like, I will be so happy without a billion though,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: But now you let well let me tell you this.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: You all, I know how you want to know how
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: you all know I got a billion because the next
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: day I ain't coming in here. I believe that. Oh yeah,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: but you wouldn't call us and let us know you
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: weren't coming in. You just not show up. Call you.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: I have a call job. We usually know ahead of time. Yeah,
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: you call us from VAK A lot of times you
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: get bored, but then you get mad. We don't ask
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: it up. Yeah, I'm mad at Mississippi Monica. Right now,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: she has not returned a text from her supposed leader
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: in a day and a half because she mad. Oh really, well,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: that happens. People get mad, Steve, you get mad. You
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: get mad, I know you. Yeah, he can't understand. What
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: is it about it? You don't get pointing that finger
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: over there. You didn't hear what these other two would do?
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: Ask them the questioning fire time. Well, I want to
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: work to the day that na, But you don't you
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: love it? I love it, But at one point in time,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna be serious in my life. But I ain't
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: gonna be funny all my life. I'll be serious at
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: one point. I gotta keep my ass out this game.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: You asked me a question. Ain't be nothing funny bout
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: it and be asking really gonna be serious? But if
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: I did every time I'm gonna do. I'm I'm probably
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: gonna travel. I know I'm gonna travel. Oh yeah, you
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: want to see the world. I really want to go
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: see the world. I really enjoy when um, I go
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: out the country and just seeing some of this this
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: life that God created out here for me to take him. Man,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I really want to see that. I want to go
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: walk to Big Wall to China. I want to go
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: down and see what that looks like. Are you? Um?
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: It's marriaging it for you? Maybe one day? Absolutely, somebody
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: gotta take care of me. I'm doing a horror a job.
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: I stuck at taking care of me. I'm eating out
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: every day? Did you eat out every day? Just about?
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: On some days I'm sitting down at somebody restaurant. Yeah,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: but couse, when we're gonna cook, we come home at
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: night at night. What's wrong with that? What's you mean?
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: Eating out every day? What's your what's your point? Man?
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: You need to hook up there? What did your point?
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Mary can use the company? So you eat out? Yeah? Chill?
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: Why do you think they got restaurants. What are you talking?
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: That's yeah, that's what I wanna travel. That'd be my thing. Okay, alright,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: that's cool. All right, let's scurry on over here to
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: the nephew, nephew, do you want to work till the
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: day you die? If possible, to the end, going all
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: the way to the going to the end. I'm talking
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: about the red Fox style, going to the end, George
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: Burns to the en. You're never going to retire, Tommy, No,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: just keep going, playing on being financially right, going to
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: the end. Work. You're gonna work like you old taxes. Yes,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: you're going to be doing stand up, not necessarily, but
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna work to the end. What about your family?
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: If they want you home, you know they don't want
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: you leading out and traveling so much. This is the
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: same dude, remember Shirley. This is the same dude who
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: said if he hit a lot of to find a
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: way to get rid of his family. Get That was
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: before he got married, right, didn't he said? No? Tommy said,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: trying to help him, I'm trying to help million. He
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: has got to find a way to get rid of
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: his family because death, no way he's gonna be explained
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: to her where he tell me, I tried to help you.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: I told you to never say things I know, but
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: cause I gotta see a foe hunted me. I'm taking
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: I'm faking my death in front of them. I'm not laughing.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: I'm fin against somebody in Hollywood, and and and and
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: my whole chest can explode right there, ignorance, I shooting
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: give me right after this. You're listening to show, all right?
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: This is something new, the presidential alert UM. It's similar
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: to the state level systems that let police and local
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: authorities send out amber alerts and stuff and weather warning.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: The biggest difference is scale. The nationwide system is designed
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: to blast a message to all two hundred and twenty
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: five million smartphones in the United States, and that reaches
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: about of the population. News of the presidential alert test
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: drew almost immediate criticism on some corners of social media,
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: with some people vowing to turn off their phones. They
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: turned they said they're going to turn off their phones
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: because they believe that they will be held captive by
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: President Donald Trump. UH and some even UH thought that
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: the president would allow that would allow the president to
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: tweet to every each and every American. So they were like, yeah,
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: this is all wrong. It just means that it's a
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: high um level of an alert system, you know, where
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: you can send out amber alerts and yeah, and you
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: can send out weather warnings. But when they said presidential alert,
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: people automatically thought it was the president it getting ready
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: to tweet them or you know, be on their phones,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: and they didn't want to have anything to do with it. Well,
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: I'm turning off my phone, that's what they were saying,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: because it's gonna happen today though this afternoon. Yeah, President
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: President at what term? So I can take my bad
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: at it says two hundred and twenty five million phones
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: this afternoon, my battery were taking out watch. But it's
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: it doesn't have anything to do with President Trump. That's
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: the thing why they just called what they called the
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: presidential because it's at about to eighteen pm Eastern time,
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: FEMA will send out the first message testing this. But
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: it ain't the president. It's not Donald Trump. They're just
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: calling it the presidential alert. They need a new name
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: for the high level alert. Okay, it's a h L
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: a high level alert. Call it that. They want the
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: police and local authorities to be ready. You know, it's
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: a test to send out amber alerts and weather warnings
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: and things. Have a misconceptionist. Yeah, I think it's going
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: to be the tweeting to them and stuff. So, yeah,
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: they don't want to have anything to do with that.
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: Not looking President Trumpet directed at me, I'm not this
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: is for a national message. Yeah, yeah, you can know
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: what's going on with the weather and amber when you
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: when you hear President, don't you feel like his face
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: in the and it's him talking or getting a tweet
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: from him or something. Yeah. So yeah, so this afternoon
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: about two eighteen pm Eastern, I think where you gonna be.
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: I'm hopefully man be playing golf on the golf course.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: Now I'll be a little than the ninth hold. At
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: two o'clock this afternoon, m alert is going to go
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: to every smartphone in the United States that's turned on
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: within a range of a second. Gets you a dumb
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: ass phone, not a smart phone. Flip phones coming back
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: like a sworn last week at the judiciary hearings for
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: Brett Kavanaugh and Dr Blase Ford that Senator Lindsey Graham
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: had a flip phone in his hand. I believe it.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I got five books for you. I got
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: three letters all this when I was in Nasville. Three letters,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: eight T shirts. You brought all this stuff back with
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back with more of the Steve
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Will Steve malls that over right after this.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: You're listening Dave Show. Bill Cosby has been in prison
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: for one week, and TMZ is reporting that it hasn't
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: been all that bad for him. According to sources, Mr
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: Cosby spends his days chatting with the prison staff and
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: just strolling around the prison guards. You know. He still
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: has not get into the general population, which is likely
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: for his own protection. They're saying. He eats breakfast in
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: his cell every day and then lunch and dinner. He'll
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: do that either in a cell or in an open room.
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: Now since he is legally blind, let's not forget about that.
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: Cosby does have a personal guide who walks him around
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: the prison. Uh, to the library, to the yard, and
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: to other facilities. TMZ also learned that he's been able
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: to speak with his wife Camille on the phone every
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: single day for just for a few minutes though, and
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: most likely they talk about his appeal and uh, it
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: won't be until next week when he'll be able to
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: have some visitors come and see. Yeah, karem nobody on
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: the outside say it ain't been that they they ain't
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: in there. You got two weeks usually of orientation to
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: prison life, and then they put you in general population.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: He'll probably go straight to protective custody because he's a
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: high profile case. And if they do well, they have
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: protective custody everyone. Yeah, you can't just dump people in
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: there with with them boys that ain't ever getting Now,
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: let me ask you if he got a guy, is
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: that a prisoner or someone that works? Yeah, well you
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: want come on, because you know they have people who
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: work at the hospital in the medical department that pushed
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: the guys to their appointments and you know, in wheelchairs
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: and stuff like that. They got. That's like a job
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: within the prison oftentimes. Trust Yeah, ain't nobody coming in
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: to do that. What you don't want to be is
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: non inmate working around the inmates. Yeah, and you hate
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: to go that ain't no life. I had one of
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: them jobs used to deliver a paint to the prison prison. Yeah,
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: the prisoners waving the prison. I didn't move that truck
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: I need somebody with a uniform on. Oh yeah, come on,
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: a little man, where is somebody who free? Who get
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: to go home? Yeah? What you can't do is just
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: be surrounded by everybody locked up because they love company.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: J Yeah. I left that paint at that gate. Every
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: damn time I had to pull the truck in there,
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: but all the people that worked that came out. Then
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: I wouldn't move because the inmates said, come in, you'll
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: tell me what. Come on, a little man started, We
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: don't make good decision. Let me tell you about this
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: Samuel Ole Jackson story too. If you spend any time online,
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: you may have noticed this viral video going around that
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: feature Samuel L. His characters from pulp Fiction. Remember that
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: character grilling Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh if you haven't
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: seen it. The video combines clips from Kavanaugh's testimony in
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: response to Dr Cuisine Christine Blasi Ford's sexual assault allegations
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: against him with clips from Samuel's iconic monologue from the
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: beginning of the movie Uh. Samuel L's character also rose
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, and so far my visional viral
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: clip has racked up tens of thousands of retweets and
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: likes on Twitter. Samuel L. Jackson gave the clip his
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: stamp of approval UH and called it funny as heck.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: He said, it was funny all right. Coming up next
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: Steve Harvey's closing remarks. Don't go away because you don't
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: want to miss it. We'll be back at forty nine
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: after the hour you're listening to. Last break of the day.
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, take us away with some insightful closing remarks.
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: I know you have some for us today. Well you know, um,
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: I think it's imperative. Yesterday we talked about how hate
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: is so counterproductive. Um, well, let's talk about something today
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: that is productive. And that's one of the major principles
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: of success. Uh. I don't know if people understand the
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: real value of dreams and visions. I don't know if
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: people understand the real value of writing it down. You know,
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: having dreams and visions is one thing. It's the writing
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: it down part that solidifies it and makes it more
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: doable and concrete. And the reason I'm saying that is
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: because writing your visions down everything you want on a
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: piece of paper, creating a vision board isn't just a
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: principle of success. Well, it is very much a principle
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: of success. But it's a scripture. It's actually in the Bible.
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: He God has laid out for us exactly how to
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: have the best life possible for you. He's already laid
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: that out. He gave us words of encouragement. He gives
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: us wisdom, he gives us understanding. That's what Proverbs is
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: all about. That's what the Psalms is about. He gives
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: you an examples of people overcoming throughout the Bible. He
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: gives you examples of what real faith can do. He
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: has he He shows you seasons of what can happen
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: to people. But one of the things Rebekah too and
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: two says, write the vision and make it plain, so
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: that he who reads it will run to it. And
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: even though it terry, terry means take a long time,
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: wait for it, for surely it will come at an
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: appointed time. It's so important man, that you as people,
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: that we as people, never forget the significance and the
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: importance of writing our goals and our visions. I wants
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: our dreams, our hopes, our yearnings down. It is imperative
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: that you write it down. It's not it's not um
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: anything that that should be taken lightly. This is very
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: very real. It can change your life. It really really can. Man,
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: it could do so much for you, because see, where
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: you are now is temporary. You've got to understand that.
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: But you've got to have a dream and the vision
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: to get out of that place so you can move
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: on to your next space. All of us are being
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: tested on some form, shape, or fashion. All of us
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: are being tested on some level. All of us. Ain't
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: nobody Scott free of the test of life. But man
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: with with the dream and vision that Herbecah two and two,
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: writing the vision and making it plain, it can get
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: you into your season a lot sooner. Uh. Bishop Getty
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: sent me something. Bishop gettys is minister uh down in
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: the Carolina's who came on my show once and we've
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: become friends every since. And he sent me something one
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: day and he told me, he said, never judge somebody
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: based on a season. Are y'all listening? Never judge someone
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: based on the season. He told me. He said, one season,
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: David was a shepherd, the next season he was a king. MHM.
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: One season Ruth was working in the field, the next
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: season she was owning the same field. One season, Mordecai
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: was sitting outside the King's palace. The next season he
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: was inside the palace, and what he was saying to
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: me was, we serve a god who turns things around,
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: and that is the God of unmerited favor. You can't
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: judge somebody stone the season. You don't know who you're
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: talking to. You don't know what God gonna do for
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: this person. You don't know what this person written down.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: You don't know what this vision this person has for itself,
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: and you don't know what kind of grace God gonna
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: put on this person. So, like we were talking about
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: on the radio show, we were talking about have have
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: you gotten more than you thought? Or did you get
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: everything you ever wanted? A lot of this stuff I
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: have I ain't even see. I didn't know it was
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: nothing to want. I didn't know to want certain things
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: because I didn't know certain things existed. But he gave
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: it to me anyway, because he has this thing called grace.
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: But what has helped me a great deal along the
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: way is writing down everything on paper, making notes in
- 1:38:54Speaker 1: my iPhone, having vision boards. It has completely turned my
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: life around. It'll do the same thing for you because
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: of a scripture Rebecca too and two write to vision
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: and make it play period. It can change your life.
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: If somebody told that to me, I tried it, I
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: really would. Those are my clothes remarks to day, drop
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: it like they don't go right there. Hey, y'all have
- 1:39:24Speaker 1: a great week here you hit them straight. Since you
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: volu your girlfriend the day, I'm going out today, hit around.
