- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a sun giving them like the
- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things in the stuffings me through good to mother, Stay,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join Jo. You gotta use that turn out
- 1:10Speaker 1: you go. You gotta turn to turn out. You got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn them out to turn turn water to the water. Go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your baby. Uh huh. I show well
- 2:03Speaker 1: a good morning everybody. Y'all listening to the voice come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now. But it only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show man. Instead of trying to be about
- 2:14Speaker 1: the business. To y'all, I'm I'm I'm doing all I can.
- 2:19Speaker 1: But you know what's crazy in the efforts that I make.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I can do more. You know, my father used to
- 2:27Speaker 1: tell me something when I was growing up. He says, son,
- 2:31Speaker 1: when you've done your best, and you've done all you can,
- 2:38Speaker 1: sit still for a second and just do a little
- 2:41Speaker 1: bit more. Always remember that, he said. When you've done
- 2:45Speaker 1: the best you can and you can done all you
- 2:48Speaker 1: can think of, he say, sit still for a minute
- 2:51Speaker 1: and do some more. And you know what I've discovered
- 2:54Speaker 1: in my life, always have a little more. I ain't
- 2:57Speaker 1: ever just out, out out completely. I can't take another step.
- 3:02Speaker 1: There ain't another breath in me, There ain't there ain't
- 3:05Speaker 1: another thought I can produce. I'm never completely out, man.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Just take a rest for a minute, man, and then
- 3:13Speaker 1: just do a little bit more and that that. I
- 3:16Speaker 1: can't tell you how many times that's helped me get
- 3:19Speaker 1: over the top. You know. I was watching a documentary
- 3:23Speaker 1: about people climbing or Mount Everest and how difficult climbing
- 3:26Speaker 1: Mount Everest was and how they have on the hill
- 3:31Speaker 1: something called like a death zone or killing zone, where
- 3:35Speaker 1: the majority of people run out of oxygen and they
- 3:37Speaker 1: have to turn back. Well, what's crazy is it's right
- 3:43Speaker 1: in view of the summit. You can actually see the
- 3:46Speaker 1: top of Mount Everest from there. But it's but it's
- 3:50Speaker 1: that little bit that's left that's this most difficult. Now,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I forgot all the reasons why they said most people
- 3:56Speaker 1: don't make it from there, and more people have lost
- 3:59Speaker 1: their lives in that area. I don't know what it is,
- 4:02Speaker 1: but the people that make it to the top of
- 4:06Speaker 1: Mount efforts, they all had to go through that same
- 4:10Speaker 1: zone or that same area, but they had a little
- 4:14Speaker 1: bit more that allowed them to get to the top.
- 4:18Speaker 1: You know, a lot of people have had accidents up
- 4:20Speaker 1: there trying that, so I'm not even really sure if
- 4:23Speaker 1: Mount Everest analogy is a good one. But let's just
- 4:27Speaker 1: break it down a little bit more. Let's just talk
- 4:29Speaker 1: about life. There's a poem I learned back when I
- 4:34Speaker 1: host Pledge, and it's called don't Quit. It goes like this,
- 4:38Speaker 1: if I make a mistake, I'm just trying to drum
- 4:40Speaker 1: it up, So here we go. It says, when things
- 4:43Speaker 1: go wrong, as they sometimes will, when the road you're
- 4:46Speaker 1: trudging seems all uphill, when your funds are low and
- 4:50Speaker 1: your debts are high, when you want to smile, but
- 4:55Speaker 1: you have to side when cares are pressing you down
- 4:58Speaker 1: a bit if you must. But don't quit, for life
- 5:03Speaker 1: is queer with its twisting turns, as every one of
- 5:07Speaker 1: us must sometimes learn, And many a fellow has turned
- 5:11Speaker 1: about when he might have won had he stuck it out.
- 5:15Speaker 1: So don't give up. Though the pace seems slow, you
- 5:19Speaker 1: may succeed with another blow. Often the gold is nearer
- 5:24Speaker 1: than it seems to a faint and a faltering man,
- 5:29Speaker 1: And often the struggler has given up when he might
- 5:33Speaker 1: have captured the victor's cup. And he learns too late,
- 5:37Speaker 1: when the night came down, how close he was to
- 5:40Speaker 1: the golden crown. Success is failure turned inside out. It's
- 5:47Speaker 1: your silver tint of your clouds of doubt, and you
- 5:51Speaker 1: never can tell how close you are. It may be
- 5:55Speaker 1: kneel when it seems afar, so stick to the fight
- 6:00Speaker 1: when your hardest hit. It's when things seem worse that
- 6:04Speaker 1: you mustn't quit. I remember it because I'd had a
- 6:08Speaker 1: special method of helping you remember stuff back then, but
- 6:11Speaker 1: I remembered it at that point. My dad has kept me.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You know, we often talk about scripture and everything, and
- 6:19Speaker 1: then I don't see how I could live without it.
- 6:22Speaker 1: But every now and then, man, somebody has a writing.
- 6:24Speaker 1: God puts a writing on somebody's heart that delivers a
- 6:27Speaker 1: message man that can help people. I use every motivational
- 6:30Speaker 1: tool that I possibly can to climb this letter of
- 6:34Speaker 1: success or try to be the best father and the
- 6:36Speaker 1: best husband I can be. I've done a lot of
- 6:38Speaker 1: changing over the years, and so have you. But change
- 6:41Speaker 1: is necessary in order to grow. If you don't make changes, folks,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you can't grow. I was a young man on my set.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I kept looking at him, and a sharp little young
- 6:51Speaker 1: dude just on my set, and he had these dreads
- 6:57Speaker 1: and I mean they were they were super long, man,
- 7:00Speaker 1: they will well below the middle of his back, I
- 7:03Speaker 1: mean images long. And he kept talking to me, and
- 7:06Speaker 1: he kept talking to me and talking to me. So
- 7:08Speaker 1: young man kept talking to him, and I said, hey, man,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you know you do you're a huge self, a favor
- 7:13Speaker 1: in the business you're in. If you got a haircut,
- 7:16Speaker 1: you would do yourself a huge favor. I said, your
- 7:19Speaker 1: images everything, man, I said, you keep stopping me in
- 7:21Speaker 1: the hallway to try to tell me what you're doing,
- 7:23Speaker 1: what you are, but all I see is your hair. Now,
- 7:26Speaker 1: I keep trying to figure out what you're doing with
- 7:28Speaker 1: all that hair. Man, Now you can feel how you
- 7:31Speaker 1: want to feel. But I'm like an employer. I employed people.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So when I'm walking through the hallway and I try
- 7:38Speaker 1: to think of you traveling with me and you sitting
- 7:40Speaker 1: in a meeting with me, I try to imagine you
- 7:42Speaker 1: in your suit sitting there talking business with me. And so,
- 7:46Speaker 1: just like other employers are, I'm just having a real
- 7:49Speaker 1: story with you. So I said, man, you ought to
- 7:51Speaker 1: consider cutting your hair. He said, Man, mister Harvey, I've
- 7:55Speaker 1: been growing his hair side a little boy. I said,
- 7:58Speaker 1: how old are you now? He said twenty eight? I said, well,
- 8:01Speaker 1: how long you want to hang on to what you
- 8:03Speaker 1: was when you was a little boy? You know, if
- 8:05Speaker 1: you started growing your hair when you're a teenager. I mean,
- 8:08Speaker 1: you're twenty eight now. And I said, so, let me
- 8:11Speaker 1: help you understand something. Let me let me ask you something.
- 8:13Speaker 1: What does it do for you? He say, Man, it's
- 8:16Speaker 1: just who I am. It's I said, so you your
- 8:20Speaker 1: have He said no, no, but it's a part of me.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I say, that part of you that you're hanging on to.
- 8:27Speaker 1: What does it do for you? I just like it? Well, dog,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I like ice cream, but I fear that. But if
- 8:34Speaker 1: I hang on ice cream and eat ice cream every
- 8:37Speaker 1: single day, my body gonna reflect that. What is it
- 8:41Speaker 1: that you hanging on to that you don't want to
- 8:43Speaker 1: let go of? That's prohibiting you from being what all
- 8:46Speaker 1: you can be? See, it's hard to be what all
- 8:49Speaker 1: you can be if you want to keep being all
- 8:51Speaker 1: you was. Don't that make sense to you? So I
- 8:56Speaker 1: can't tell you how many times I've had to change.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Change is necessary to grow. You can't be all you
- 9:04Speaker 1: can be if you want to keep hanging on to
- 9:07Speaker 1: all you was. That don't make no sense. How do
- 9:12Speaker 1: you go forward? If you keep going backwards? You can't
- 9:16Speaker 1: stay here and go there? Do you understand that if
- 9:21Speaker 1: you want to go over there, you must remove yourself
- 9:25Speaker 1: from right here? Oh? I got right Here is comfortable.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I got right here is safe. But over there's where
- 9:32Speaker 1: the shade is over. There's where the fruit is. Over
- 9:36Speaker 1: there is where the opportunity is. Over. There is where
- 9:41Speaker 1: the mountain of goal is. So why are you stuck
- 9:44Speaker 1: on here? You got to leave here to go over there?
- 9:48Speaker 1: You can't be all you can be if you want
- 9:51Speaker 1: to stay stuck on who you was. Change this growth
- 9:54Speaker 1: is necessary. Let's go. You're listening to Hello? Is it me?
- 10:04Speaker 1: You're looking for? Lina Richie Man? You know what? I
- 10:11Speaker 1: just wake up. I'm just so grateful to wake up
- 10:14Speaker 1: in the morning. I start off happy. I implement happy
- 10:20Speaker 1: thoughts into my morning. Thus I have happy moments after that.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Please stop telling yourself you're not a morning person. Seeing
- 10:32Speaker 1: us how morning is the goal every day. Why would
- 10:36Speaker 1: you put that on yourself to claim to not be
- 10:40Speaker 1: a morning person. You got to show gratitude for waking up.
- 10:45Speaker 1: I am a morning person, I'm an afternoon person. I'm
- 10:48Speaker 1: a nighttime guy. I'm all that. I'm glad. I'm here
- 10:51Speaker 1: for the ride, Baby, Steve Harvey Morning Show, Sherley Strawberry
- 10:54Speaker 1: caller for Real Mouth at the South Junior Government name
- 10:58Speaker 1: Kill Spits and the legend that it is the nephew
- 11:00Speaker 1: Timing Junior. Gotta go with from it and Jay, what's
- 11:03Speaker 1: on your mind? Man? Yeah? Man, um, I gotta ask
- 11:07Speaker 1: you this, man, because you know you you got so
- 11:09Speaker 1: much wisdom. But why why most people always remind you
- 11:11Speaker 1: of what you used to do and who you used
- 11:13Speaker 1: to be, but then say you changed and you're too
- 11:16Speaker 1: good now because they're trying to hold you to a
- 11:19Speaker 1: certain standard. They're trying to hold you to a certain standard.
- 11:25Speaker 1: A lot of people are here to remind you of
- 11:27Speaker 1: what you used to be so you don't get too
- 11:29Speaker 1: far ahead of yourself and get further ahead of them
- 11:33Speaker 1: by being the new person that you've become. Example, I
- 11:38Speaker 1: don't know what he's sitting up here, Timitta. I remember
- 11:40Speaker 1: when he was over there. Cheat, okay, but suppose a
- 11:44Speaker 1: man don't cheat no more. Well, I don't know nothing
- 11:47Speaker 1: about all that. I'm just telling you what I know. Well,
- 11:50Speaker 1: people change, and people have the right to change, and
- 11:53Speaker 1: people grow, and people have the right to grow. The
- 11:57Speaker 1: person that's talking about you, I can promise you ain't grew.
- 12:01Speaker 1: It's stuck on chuck, stuck right what they are and
- 12:04Speaker 1: they want everybody else to be right there. See, And
- 12:07Speaker 1: a lot of times you can't move forward in your
- 12:10Speaker 1: life without leaving certain people behind. If you have a
- 12:14Speaker 1: person in your life that's constantly reminded you of who
- 12:17Speaker 1: you are and will not accept the new person that
- 12:20Speaker 1: you've become, that's a clear sign that you need to
- 12:22Speaker 1: get rid of that person right there, because they're not
- 12:25Speaker 1: they're not ready for the rise anyway. See, everybody come
- 12:30Speaker 1: with you can't go with you. See. So now what
- 12:33Speaker 1: you've become and where you are now, you don't need
- 12:37Speaker 1: that type of person in your life reminding you who
- 12:39Speaker 1: you are. I know people like that who do me
- 12:41Speaker 1: that same way. Ah, you're a big star now you
- 12:44Speaker 1: miss the TV man. I remember you in high school.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I mean I'll do too. We got to your book,
- 12:52Speaker 1: but I ain't here no more? What rightege bro? Everybody change,
- 12:58Speaker 1: People got families now, people become I'm responsible life lauses
- 13:02Speaker 1: them to become responsible. So yeah, that irresponsible stuff you
- 13:06Speaker 1: saw me doing back then, I can't do that no more.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Life didn't happen to me, Bob. But they want to
- 13:13Speaker 1: hold you to that. It's just like forgiveness. When God
- 13:17Speaker 1: forgives you, get up and move on with your life,
- 13:20Speaker 1: because sometimes people don't blank everybody else blank them. Now
- 13:26Speaker 1: you want forgiveness for God, or you want forgiveness for
- 13:28Speaker 1: that person over there that's stuck on chuck in. They pass.
- 13:33Speaker 1: All right, we got it, Thank you. Coming up at
- 13:36Speaker 1: thirty three, coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:39Speaker 1: we'll hear from the nephew if he runs that frank
- 13:41Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening to show it is
- 13:47Speaker 1: time now to start your morning off with the nephew
- 13:49Speaker 1: and run that brank back. What you got enough? Well, Charlotte,
- 13:53Speaker 1: I need you to bring me some paper, Bring me
- 13:57Speaker 1: some paper. No, you ain't never brought nobody no paper before,
- 14:02Speaker 1: because you have ain't bringing you none. Oh oh, oh,
- 14:06Speaker 1: call it, you're gonna bring this paper. Oh no, I'm not.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I'm not gonna sit here and wait on you to
- 14:11Speaker 1: decide on something. You're gonna let's go, cat dog we're
- 14:15Speaker 1: bringing paper today. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to Charles. I'm
- 14:21Speaker 1: looking for Charles. Yeah, this Charlotte. I'm Juna, This Charlotte.
- 14:26Speaker 1: How can I help you? Hey, listen, um, I'm you boy,
- 14:30Speaker 1: I'm with my speaking with I'm sorry this scotty man.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I'm I'm a house sitting for reader. She y'all okay, okay, yeah, yeah.
- 14:38Speaker 1: She told me she was going outtown. What can I
- 14:39Speaker 1: do for your brother? I pought y'all down the way man, y'all,
- 14:42Speaker 1: I'm in the house. Four houses yeah, I think let's see. Yeah,
- 14:47Speaker 1: we full houses down Okay. Now, she loved me a
- 14:50Speaker 1: number man, love me, y'all know me? And then she
- 14:52Speaker 1: loved miss Dars. No. I try to call Miss Darks,
- 14:55Speaker 1: but then nobody answer the phone. Yes she no, i'mly
- 14:57Speaker 1: in church around this time. readA said she was gonna
- 14:59Speaker 1: be gone for a minute. So you say you down
- 15:02Speaker 1: there right right? Right? Then she told me if I
- 15:04Speaker 1: got into murgency, anything, that I could reach out to
- 15:06Speaker 1: y'all and call y'all right, right right, okay? Are you
- 15:10Speaker 1: are you busy right now? Man? Well, actually, I'm in
- 15:12Speaker 1: the middle of cooking my wife some dinner and got
- 15:16Speaker 1: some meat on the grill. But other than that, you know, okay,
- 15:19Speaker 1: I mean you you you are you able to help
- 15:21Speaker 1: me out with something right quick? Or you got you
- 15:24Speaker 1: got time for that? Well? Like I said, I'm in
- 15:26Speaker 1: the middle of cooking. If there's something I can help
- 15:27Speaker 1: you with, I you know, I don't mind coming down
- 15:30Speaker 1: there and uh showing you or doing whatever it is
- 15:33Speaker 1: that we need to do. Okay, Charlie. What you happen
- 15:36Speaker 1: to have any paper? Man, any paper? Yeah? I think
- 15:40Speaker 1: I got some newspaper. What you're trying to No no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 15:44Speaker 1: no news. But let mean some paper? You have some paper?
- 15:47Speaker 1: What notebook paper? No? See man, listen, Charlie, I, like
- 15:51Speaker 1: I said, my name is Scotty Man. I know you
- 15:53Speaker 1: don't know me. I didn't got myself in a little
- 15:54Speaker 1: situation here down here read the house man, and I
- 15:59Speaker 1: didn't man as I'm in a situation. I actually I'm
- 16:05Speaker 1: in the bathroom, man, and it ain't no paper in
- 16:07Speaker 1: hire dog. So you're saying you want me to bring
- 16:12Speaker 1: you some toilet paper. I mean, if you're on mind,
- 16:15Speaker 1: I'm sitting here. My legs ain't got none. I can
- 16:17Speaker 1: feel my whole little body man from butt down. I
- 16:21Speaker 1: can't feel nothing, man, my feet everything, and went to
- 16:23Speaker 1: sleep on the hold up by this dude out here
- 16:27Speaker 1: read the house saying he wanted me to bring his
- 16:30Speaker 1: paper because he didn't got numb sitting on the truck. Man.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Look at here, bro, I'm in the middle of cooking.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I wish I could help you, but you know, I mean,
- 16:38Speaker 1: I can't tell you about four hours of doctor. You
- 16:40Speaker 1: should run down here right quickly. I'm in the back door.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I have to say. Man, I understand all that you're saying,
- 16:45Speaker 1: but like I said, I'm in the middle of cooking
- 16:47Speaker 1: for my wife. We're having a little special occasion because
- 16:49Speaker 1: our kids and stuff done, and I can't to leave
- 16:51Speaker 1: her like that just to come bring you know paper. Now,
- 16:54Speaker 1: what I can't tell you to do is if readA
- 16:56Speaker 1: got one of them tis or something. Man, I'm not
- 17:00Speaker 1: using nobody town like. That's disrespectful. Man. Okay, hey, but
- 17:04Speaker 1: lower your voice. Man, you calling me to help you,
- 17:06Speaker 1: and you acting like I caused you to not have
- 17:09Speaker 1: no guy, you hancake in the bathroo All I'm asking
- 17:15Speaker 1: for just and they're gonna take no more for two
- 17:17Speaker 1: or three minute run down here. Right quick and bringing
- 17:18Speaker 1: the paper man, and then you get on back to
- 17:20Speaker 1: your dunner. Well, what you was sounding like? What you
- 17:22Speaker 1: need to do? Bro? You said you had emergence. I
- 17:24Speaker 1: thought the house of the dogs had got out of
- 17:27Speaker 1: you had locked yourself out the house. But I'm not
- 17:30Speaker 1: gonna come down and bring you know paper because that
- 17:32Speaker 1: don't sound like emergency. That's not like some personal And furthermore,
- 17:36Speaker 1: you're in the bathroom just jump to out your colone
- 17:39Speaker 1: getting the shot on white. So I'm not find a dog.
- 17:41Speaker 1: That's like I said, I'm numb right now, man, I
- 17:43Speaker 1: need some help, And so you want me to come down,
- 17:46Speaker 1: then bring you some toilet papers and pick your number.
- 17:49Speaker 1: You can't get up out there, tarlet if I want
- 17:51Speaker 1: to help you. That's why I'm trying to tell you
- 17:54Speaker 1: I'm in an emergency, man, Okay, Well that, like I said, Man,
- 17:58Speaker 1: that don't sound like emergency. Was like a little quick
- 18:00Speaker 1: fix to get your drawings in and like your drawns
- 18:04Speaker 1: told them, wint gonna get you some moth. I mean,
- 18:07Speaker 1: I'm not saying to walk full houses down there to
- 18:09Speaker 1: bring you some tilet papers your legs Now, I'm high.
- 18:12Speaker 1: How are you gonna get up and over the gate
- 18:14Speaker 1: so the backdoor is open. All you gotta do is
- 18:16Speaker 1: come in here and reaching him and pass me a
- 18:18Speaker 1: roll of paper. Man. That's all I'm asking you to do,
- 18:20Speaker 1: mister Charlotte, I understand that. But I'm not say to
- 18:23Speaker 1: come down and bring you know paper. I'm not saying
- 18:25Speaker 1: to bring you bring me some paper down here? Man,
- 18:28Speaker 1: your man, say, Man, who the hell you? Thank you?
- 18:32Speaker 1: Higling that you need me? I don't need you? Well,
- 18:34Speaker 1: won't you to do something? Man? You see, I'm sitting
- 18:36Speaker 1: in a situation. The reader left y'all number that y'alla

- 18:52Speaker 1: talking about some paper. Man. I don't want to hear. No.
- 18:55Speaker 1: I know that, and I ain't coming down and to
- 18:57Speaker 1: bring you know paper. Man. Hello, childe, you're gonna bring

- 23:24Speaker 1: know that I used to be polyamorous and I've had
- 23:27Speaker 1: a lot of sexual partners. He told me that he
- 23:30Speaker 1: didn't want to see me anymore. Should she have been
- 23:33Speaker 1: loyal to me or her cousin? Yeah, well I don't
- 23:39Speaker 1: really know. But family is family blood, And you know,
- 23:46Speaker 1: your past just came up and bit you. And it
- 23:49Speaker 1: does that sometime, and it ain't you ain't you ain't
- 23:52Speaker 1: don't need to get mad at her. You know, they
- 23:55Speaker 1: fell out. They had a lot of sexual partners, and
- 23:57Speaker 1: you've been polyamorous and she told it. You know, you know,
- 24:02Speaker 1: here you go, here, you go here go, here go
- 24:05Speaker 1: another thing about the truth. You know y'all always going
- 24:09Speaker 1: to truth. Oh, here we go. I told y'all about
- 24:11Speaker 1: the truth. Now somebody told the damn truth. Now you
- 24:15Speaker 1: want to keep the lie secret? You make up your mind? No, no, no, no,
- 24:19Speaker 1: no no. I told y'all line was the best policy.

- 24:38Speaker 1: know that. No, she was telling the truth. She told
- 24:43Speaker 1: the truth. That's what y'all always want. What he was
- 24:47Speaker 1: dealing with. No, y'all, that's what y'all want. Can't want it.

- 25:05Speaker 1: and I are moving in together. So I talked to
- 25:08Speaker 1: her father about us getting married. Her dad told me
- 25:11Speaker 1: he never liked me, and he thinks his daughter can
- 25:14Speaker 1: do much better. I'm not sure what I should do now.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Her mother gave me her blessing, So should I go
- 25:20Speaker 1: forth and propose even though her dad hates me. M,
- 25:24Speaker 1: what you're marrying him? M. You can, you can mention
- 25:29Speaker 1: the marriage and everything. He ain't got to prove of it.
- 25:31Speaker 1: You know, you can ask for permission, but you know,
- 25:34Speaker 1: gonna be rough, gonna be a rough row for your homie.
- 25:37Speaker 1: But you know, if you love the girl, you love
- 25:39Speaker 1: the girl. You know he obviously thinks she could do better.
- 25:44Speaker 1: You know. Is that what fathers normally do, what they
- 25:47Speaker 1: tell be so direct to like that with the oh oh,
- 25:52Speaker 1: oh oh. I had this conversation so many damn times,
- 25:57Speaker 1: like bringing him to me normal because I've made all
- 25:59Speaker 1: the correct calls all so you've actually said I don't
- 26:03Speaker 1: think you're good enough for my daughter. Well, I start
- 26:07Speaker 1: with what you see in this food, because I'm telling
- 26:11Speaker 1: you right now he ain't about a lot of die Okay,
- 26:16Speaker 1: now I start there. Now I've only met a few.
- 26:21Speaker 1: But when you bring them to me, oh that's fine, perfectly,
- 26:26Speaker 1: I'm cool. Now you bring them to me. The interview
- 26:28Speaker 1: process at twenty minutes, I got you. I know what
- 26:32Speaker 1: to ask. First question at the gate, So what's your
- 26:37Speaker 1: intentions with my daughter? Because you have some that's all.
- 26:44Speaker 1: First quid what's your intentions with my daughter? Then? When
- 26:48Speaker 1: he tell me, then, how do you suppose to bring
- 26:50Speaker 1: that about? Gona like each other, and we think we
- 26:53Speaker 1: gotta a fewture together. We think we can really be
- 26:58Speaker 1: a good item. And you thirty three, sir, did anyone
- 27:09Speaker 1: tell you that Steve? Growing up? Did anyone tell you
- 27:12Speaker 1: they didn't think you were Did they say that to
- 27:14Speaker 1: you ever? Yeah, that's where he got it from. Okay, y'r, sir,
- 27:23Speaker 1: hain't got my head right on. Boy, you ain't got nothing.
- 27:30Speaker 1: You ain't got no plan. So hey, okay, thank you
- 27:34Speaker 1: for talking to me, sir. All right, last one's right,
- 27:41Speaker 1: Thank you, mister Simon, Thank you, mister Pierce. I know
- 27:45Speaker 1: the people I had to say it to you a lot, Yeah,
- 27:48Speaker 1: you remember them? All all right? Moving on, This is
- 27:50Speaker 1: our last one, Steve Faye and Chicago says, My sisters
- 27:54Speaker 1: and I are getting ready for the Black Friday shopping.
- 27:57Speaker 1: My oldest sisters live across town and she can't drive
- 28:01Speaker 1: at night. I told her to uber or to my
- 28:04Speaker 1: house and she can ride with me, but she says
- 28:07Speaker 1: she's scared of uber and left. She hasn't asked my
- 28:10Speaker 1: other sisters for a ride. So should I tell her
- 28:13Speaker 1: to stay home and shop online to do yeah, like
- 28:19Speaker 1: it's Black Friday? Do this. Why don't y'all do it
- 28:22Speaker 1: like this when she come over for Thanksgiving while she's

- 29:33Speaker 1: ceremony were given out just hours after they went live
- 29:36Speaker 1: on Ticketmaster on November eighth, and organizers are say if
- 29:40Speaker 1: you don't have a ticket, the event is at full capacity.
- 29:43Speaker 1: So they're asking don't just come downtown. No gifts or
- 29:47Speaker 1: other memorial items can be left at or near the venue.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Alicia Keys will perform at his funeral. Justin Bieber is
- 29:57Speaker 1: also going to be performing at the Celebration of Life
- 30:00Speaker 1: on Friday. Justin has collaborated with a Megos and group
- 30:03Speaker 1: member Quevo on several occasions. Too soon man, Yeah, definitely
- 30:09Speaker 1: at twenty eight Yeah, yeah, really sad, gun, mindless, senseless. Yes.
- 30:17Speaker 1: In addition, no photos or videos will be allowed during
- 30:21Speaker 1: the service. Take Off was the youngest member of the Megos.
- 30:25Speaker 1: They're all from the suburbs suburban area of Atlanta and Wow.
- 30:34Speaker 1: The Megos also include, of course, his uncle Quevo and
- 30:37Speaker 1: cousin Offset. As far as the investigation goes, at this time,
- 30:42Speaker 1: no arrests involving this case have been made, unfortunately. Yeah,
- 30:48Speaker 1: somebody knows. Somebody know who pulled a gun out of stars. Yeah,
- 30:53Speaker 1: somebody know. Yeah, ain't no, ain't no, ain't no. We
- 30:57Speaker 1: know there's too many people. Yeah, somebody saw the government.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Somebody knows. No, no, you know that this is no
- 31:06Speaker 1: snitch stuff, y'all. This this is going too far. Oh,
- 31:10Speaker 1: somebody's gonna find out there is a person in Houston.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Who will find out. Listen, he will find out. I'm
- 31:17Speaker 1: just look, it's just not y'all know somebody knows. Somebody
- 31:23Speaker 1: saw the guy pull the gun out and squeeze the trigger.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Somebody saw it. Now all, it's no snitching, mess man.
- 31:31Speaker 1: This is this is you know, we our own worst
- 31:34Speaker 1: worst enemy. Sometimes we just theory. You know that I
- 31:38Speaker 1: ain't snitching. We're taking something that is a criminal code
- 31:44Speaker 1: of ethics. If you can't do the time, don't do
- 31:48Speaker 1: the crime. If you go to if you get caught
- 31:51Speaker 1: committing a felony or crime, you do not turn your
- 31:55Speaker 1: boy in. That's the golden rule. Yeah you I called
- 32:00Speaker 1: he didn't you eat yours? You don't bring him into it.
- 32:04Speaker 1: A lot of those people get out of jail and
- 32:06Speaker 1: have brought that same theory home with them. See this,
- 32:11Speaker 1: this no snitching was purely a gangster code. It was
- 32:16Speaker 1: purely for gangsters. But so many of them have returned
- 32:20Speaker 1: home and brought it home to the streets. They've turned
- 32:22Speaker 1: it into a code of the streets. And that's weakness, man.
- 32:28Speaker 1: So now that allows the element of crime in our
- 32:32Speaker 1: neighborhood to flourish without fear of retribution or consequences because
- 32:39Speaker 1: they got everybody talking about we got little kids. I'm
- 32:41Speaker 1: about I ain't no snitch, no snitching, no what. Yeah,
- 32:46Speaker 1: hopefully someone will come forward in this thing. This is fire,
- 32:50Speaker 1: this is just it don't make no sense. I got
- 32:54Speaker 1: this police officers that ain't worth a damn. I got you,
- 32:58Speaker 1: loud and clear. Yeah. But I also got is some
- 33:02Speaker 1: people out here that ain't worth for damn. I know
- 33:05Speaker 1: that loud and clear. And what they can't be out
- 33:08Speaker 1: here doing is just what they want to do without
- 33:10Speaker 1: no consequences. Because we shouldn't up here living by a
- 33:13Speaker 1: cold and we ain't even raised up on no damn gangster.
- 33:17Speaker 1: All right, Steve, We're gonna move on and get into this.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Isaiah Thomas still beefing with Michael Jordan's story here. He's
- 33:25Speaker 1: reignited his beef with Michael. He wants a public apology
- 33:29Speaker 1: now from Mike. The Jordan Thomas dispute dates back to
- 33:33Speaker 1: nineteen eighty five from the NBA All Star Game and
- 33:36Speaker 1: more drama between the Bulls and Pistons. Remember that Bad
- 33:39Speaker 1: Boys era, that whole Bad Boys era back then. During
- 33:43Speaker 1: a recent interview, Isaiah said, when I was watching the
- 33:45Speaker 1: last dance. I'm sitting there and I'm watching it with
- 33:48Speaker 1: my family, and I'm thinking everything is good. Then this
- 33:51Speaker 1: guy comes on television and he says that he hates me,
- 33:55Speaker 1: and then he calls me a blank hole, and then
- 33:58Speaker 1: I proceed to watch the whole documentary about him being
- 34:02Speaker 1: in a hole. I'm like, wait a minute, time out
- 34:05Speaker 1: until i get a public apology. This beef is going
- 34:08Speaker 1: on for a long long time because I'm from the
- 34:12Speaker 1: West side of Chicago. Now, basketball great Charles Oakley said
- 34:16Speaker 1: on the All Smoke podcast that Mike does not want
- 34:20Speaker 1: to be your friend. Isaiah. I'm telling you for the
- 34:23Speaker 1: fifth time, he does not want to be your friend.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Stay on ESPN, keep talking on T and T. Now
- 34:30Speaker 1: you're trying to say everybody better than Mike. It's okay,
- 34:33Speaker 1: You're not better than Mike. He came in your city
- 34:35Speaker 1: and took your city. That's why you're really mad. He
- 34:38Speaker 1: took over Chicago. This is past that limitation. Yeah, what
- 34:46Speaker 1: I really would like to sit both of them down.
- 34:49Speaker 1: I both Steve, you would be a great peacemaker between
- 34:52Speaker 1: the two. Out of Isaiah, ain't gonna happen. Okay, that
- 34:59Speaker 1: ain't gonna happen. He can't no park. Now you slow down.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I mean, I just we gotta talk. We grown as
- 35:06Speaker 1: me and now we got families. Now you know, we
- 35:09Speaker 1: grown were at business. We try to make a success
- 35:13Speaker 1: out of ourselves. I do know for a fact that
- 35:16Speaker 1: Zeke was watching it with his kids and then he
- 35:18Speaker 1: said that about the man in front of his family,
- 35:21Speaker 1: and like, why, you know it's nineteen eighty five. They
- 35:25Speaker 1: could have explained that. I've had a conversation with Isaiah
- 35:28Speaker 1: Thomas about that recently. I'm talking about within the last
- 35:32Speaker 1: thirty days. Really, I've had this conversation. I was at
- 35:38Speaker 1: dinner with him. We've had this conversation. I understood where
- 35:42Speaker 1: he was coming from. Okay, I understood, And I just
- 35:46Speaker 1: think that the brothers need to sit down because at
- 35:49Speaker 1: this Zeke sixty man, Yeah, okay, come all right. Well,
- 35:54Speaker 1: I hope they do get it together. Coming up at
- 35:56Speaker 1: twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have a list of
- 35:58Speaker 1: Thanksgiving dinner items that can and cannot be carried onto
- 36:01Speaker 1: the plane. If you're traveling this holiday season. Right after this,
- 36:06Speaker 1: you're listening. Millions of Americans will be traveling by air
- 36:12Speaker 1: for Thanksgiving this year, and the TSA expects to be
- 36:16Speaker 1: X raying a lot of bags containing turkeys, side dishes
- 36:20Speaker 1: and desserts. Okay, But while Unaster may be allowed to
- 36:25Speaker 1: carry her famous sweet potato pie on the plane, there
- 36:28Speaker 1: are some food items that need to be checked with
- 36:30Speaker 1: the rest of the luggage. Okay, So here's a list
- 36:32Speaker 1: of Thanksgiving dinner items. Cannot be one person to be
- 36:36Speaker 1: listening to this in particular. I don't know what you said,
- 36:40Speaker 1: but if for Sean McDonald's listening, I want you to
- 36:44Speaker 1: pay attention to this list, go ahead share, Okay. Anyway,
- 36:48Speaker 1: this is a list that you can carry on. You
- 36:51Speaker 1: can carry on baked goods like dressing. It has to
- 36:54Speaker 1: be cooked, of course, baked mac and cheese. Any kind
- 36:57Speaker 1: of meat can be frozen, uncooked, cook and seasoning. Um.
- 37:02Speaker 1: These are all solid foods. No liquids or gels. Now
- 37:05Speaker 1: here's a list of the items that you must check
- 37:08Speaker 1: in your checked baggage. Okay. Gravy, we got to have it.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Go backe, Yeah, cranberry sauce. Cranberries you got to have God,
- 37:31Speaker 1: but I need whole berries though. Yeah, Now I like that?
- 37:36Speaker 1: Can I like that? Ocean spreak? Can you don't like.
- 37:39Speaker 1: I like that whole berries. I eat the other if
- 37:45Speaker 1: it ain't nothing left, but I would prefer the berries. Yeah, alright, liquor, liquor,
- 37:52Speaker 1: Gotta put that in your bag. Gotta check up check
- 37:54Speaker 1: that anything else, you guys can think of it. You
- 37:58Speaker 1: can't carry looking on me to be close to that
- 38:00Speaker 1: ghibl The grave in that bottle breaks and mess up
- 38:02Speaker 1: that great. We cannot mess up that ghibler grave. One
- 38:09Speaker 1: of your baked goods is listen to me carefully. If
- 38:12Speaker 1: one of your baked goods is sweet potato and punkin pie,
- 38:16Speaker 1: come by, don't even pack it. I'm just telling you,
- 38:20Speaker 1: don't even This is personal advice for people I know.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Oh okay, don't nobody like that combination. It was a
- 38:31Speaker 1: bad idea. It was a bad idea. If you're the
- 38:35Speaker 1: person that make the yams and you putting marsh roast
- 38:39Speaker 1: marshmallows on top of it, keep your eyes at the
- 38:42Speaker 1: house too, yes, call it. What about the greens? Do
- 38:48Speaker 1: I pack the greens or bring them all the plane?
- 38:51Speaker 1: Because you know, greens on the flight, they got to
- 38:53Speaker 1: go under you got you might have to freeze that too.
- 38:57Speaker 1: They got free in your uggage. Yeah, but Green's thought out,
- 39:03Speaker 1: what about to take a Senate Oh, that's gotta be
- 39:09Speaker 1: in my backpack. I'm not leaving that out to the house.
- 39:14Speaker 1: That's so solid. But you don't have to be carefully.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Everybody can't make ye happy. Thanksgiving coming up in thirty
- 39:23Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour. Four more weeks of campaigning
- 39:27Speaker 1: for the Georgia Senate race. We'll talk about it right
- 39:30Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the String show. Georgia's Senate
- 39:36Speaker 1: race has been one of the most competitive in the
- 39:38Speaker 1: country for Democrats hoping to keep control of the Senate,
- 39:43Speaker 1: which is currently split fifty fifty between the parties. With
- 39:46Speaker 1: Vice President uh Kamala Harris breaking ties to when in
- 39:50Speaker 1: Georgia is imperative. Raphael Warnock and herschel Walker will be
- 39:54Speaker 1: in a runoff election on December sixth um. There are
- 39:58Speaker 1: now four more weeks of campaigning. Wow. On Tuesday night,
- 40:02Speaker 1: at herschel Walker's election night party, Walker told his supporters,
- 40:06Speaker 1: I'm like Ricky Bobby, you know the character and Talladega
- 40:10Speaker 1: nights that Will Farrell played. He said, I don't come
- 40:13Speaker 1: to lose. Uh something good. It takes a while for
- 40:16Speaker 1: it to get better. So I right there. It was
- 40:20Speaker 1: just as stupid that don't see it in my head.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Hi's Ricky Bobby, hey man, and somebody please pat Herschel down.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Just oh that shining like a run awalten gress face.
- 40:40Speaker 1: If somebody don't pat Herschel down, the slave is starting
- 40:44Speaker 1: to come out. It was just oozing down to him.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Well he looked like high sure y'all got out there
- 40:52Speaker 1: and say these watch we're telling you to say, I
- 40:55Speaker 1: show if you're going out here and sego, M wait
- 41:02Speaker 1: a minute, I'm starting to switch trying to remember everything.
- 41:05Speaker 1: The woods all in the same order. You want. Some
- 41:09Speaker 1: said just like this year. Yeah, Herschel, they said. Jermaine
- 41:12Speaker 1: Jackson said he was Greece. Jermaine said he was Greece
- 41:20Speaker 1: in the hey man, you know something, it's just it's
- 41:25Speaker 1: it's not even It is just so obvious. Yes, it's
- 41:31Speaker 1: not even funny that fu control. They will do anything
- 41:38Speaker 1: you Herschel walker. Man, it's ridiculous. It is utterly ridiculous. Yeah,
- 41:48Speaker 1: that we have to face a competent person so close.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, and he running on the basis that I
- 42:00Speaker 1: know he's slickered in me and more of a politician
- 42:03Speaker 1: and wearing suit and everything. He running on. I'm stupid.
- 42:09Speaker 1: Hell is at a platform you you're running on I'm
- 42:14Speaker 1: less than him, that's your platform, partner. Wow, this is
- 42:19Speaker 1: not a game. This is no Yeah, but hey, that's
- 42:24Speaker 1: how they're you know, they're treating it now. But we
- 42:27Speaker 1: can say congratulations to the voters in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
- 42:31Speaker 1: They did understand the assignment. They got it right. They
- 42:34Speaker 1: got it right, and so Georgia's gonna get it right too.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Georgia got four weeks to get it right. We can
- 42:42Speaker 1: be the slaving four weeks now now, I know, damn
- 42:45Speaker 1: will we can be the slaving four weeks. That's the assignment, Tommy,
- 42:48Speaker 1: that's still sign. It's just it's just a stoke on.
- 42:54Speaker 1: It's an insult, is what it is. And we've really
- 42:57Speaker 1: got to get together on this runoff because, yeah, runoffs
- 43:01Speaker 1: traditionally have not been our specialty. M hm, you mean
- 43:05Speaker 1: going to the polls to get it together. Yeah, for
- 43:09Speaker 1: this runoff. I'm just I know that everyone in Georgia
- 43:17Speaker 1: are just exhausted. Everyone's exhausted from the campaigning, the commercially. Yeah,
- 43:23Speaker 1: but you can't get tired. This is a good fight.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Don't throw in the towel yet. You gotta keep going.
- 43:30Speaker 1: You gotta get to the finish line. Yeah, yeah, you've
- 43:35Speaker 1: done it before, you can do it again. Don't sleep,
- 43:38Speaker 1: don't sleep. And we know that Raphael Warnock is the
- 43:42Speaker 1: most qualified and he's already doing the job, so you know,
- 43:46Speaker 1: don't let's not take that away from him and put
- 43:49Speaker 1: mister Walker in there. Please. Yeah, just just Herschel? Share
- 43:55Speaker 1: who Herschel? I know, I know, I just wanted to
- 44:02Speaker 1: see how it sounded. They call him hershall Herschel? Listen,
- 44:06Speaker 1: listen to all of them her. Never call him mister Walker,
- 44:13Speaker 1: none of that. They don't even show him respect. They
- 44:16Speaker 1: just call him. As long as we don't call him senator,
- 44:19Speaker 1: we can call him anything. That's right. Coming up next,
- 44:24Speaker 1: it is the Nephew with today's prank phone call. Right
- 44:27Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 44:32Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. Right about four minutes after,
- 44:35Speaker 1: it's my Strawberry letter for today, and the subject is
- 44:38Speaker 1: He's broke but but generous. He's broke but generous. We'll
- 44:43Speaker 1: talk about it in just a few because right now
- 44:46Speaker 1: it is time for the nephew and today's prank phone call?

- 45:01Speaker 1: prank herschel. He ain't gonna think it's a prank. What
- 45:11Speaker 1: you understand? It's a prank? What I mean? What you think?
- 45:15Speaker 1: It's a good premise though said we were bringing slavery back.
- 45:21Speaker 1: But he gonna be free. Oh gosh, I think he'll back.
- 45:28Speaker 1: He put my mask on the phone. Hold on, he
- 45:36Speaker 1: ain't gonna go along with all right, I got one

- 50:21Speaker 1: I don't know, Officer Roger. Like I said, you might

- 50:57Speaker 1: to bring you. Come all right? Now, come on, I
- 51:00Speaker 1: got one more thing I need to say to you.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Are you listening to me? What is it? Sir? This
- 51:05Speaker 1: is Nephew timing from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You
- 51:09Speaker 1: just got pranked by your sister Alan. I know one thing,

- 51:26Speaker 1: positive hell out of me thinking I was doing two
- 51:30Speaker 1: us and didn't know about it. People like that, okay
- 51:37Speaker 1: for you? All right? Hell no, I'm nervously. It's your sister.
- 51:41Speaker 1: She putting me up to it. Baby. Well, when you
- 51:43Speaker 1: ever see her, you see what she looked like. I'm
- 51:45Speaker 1: gonna beat the hell out of I got one more
- 51:49Speaker 1: question for you, baby, You got to tell me this.
- 51:51Speaker 1: What is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio
- 51:54Speaker 1: show in the land, the Steve Harvey Morning Show. I'll

- 52:02Speaker 1: was strong, but she went on to say that at
- 52:04Speaker 1: the end, you heard me, nervous as hell. She had
- 52:08Speaker 1: to mess up, Yes she did. I was feeling her
- 52:12Speaker 1: what she was. Yeah, thoughts up? Wait, wait, wait, wait,
- 52:20Speaker 1: let me ask y'all. Soup playing with somebody? But how
- 52:22Speaker 1: far y'all want me to go? I don't get far.
- 52:26Speaker 1: That was too far. You went on, Okay, well, we
- 52:27Speaker 1: don't know until we go over there. Now we're back
- 52:30Speaker 1: over there. You ain't over here. People don't like you. Now.
- 52:37Speaker 1: People listening to that going you know that? Damn time
- 52:39Speaker 1: and somebody you know what I've time. I've even heard
- 52:43Speaker 1: people say, you know what it went from somebody gonna

- 52:49Speaker 1: I don't heard that. You and Junior gonna You and

- 54:23Speaker 1: and hold on tight. We got it for you here
- 54:25Speaker 1: it is. Draw up every letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject
- 54:29Speaker 1: he's broke but generous. Dear Stephen Shirley. My husband and
- 54:33Speaker 1: I are retired, but I'm in a new career as
- 54:36Speaker 1: a customer service manager for a retail chain. I wasn't
- 54:40Speaker 1: ready to be a stay at home pet mom and grandmother,
- 54:43Speaker 1: so I went back to work full time. My husband
- 54:46Speaker 1: was a policeman and he took early retirement because he
- 54:50Speaker 1: needed knee surgery and it slowed him down after the surgery,
- 54:53Speaker 1: So now he's a referee for the high school games
- 54:56Speaker 1: here in town. We make a decent living from a
- 54:59Speaker 1: few different horses, but it is not enough to maintain
- 55:02Speaker 1: the lifestyle we had before we retired. My husband doesn't
- 55:06Speaker 1: realize that we're lacking financially, and he hasn't cut back
- 55:09Speaker 1: on any of the things we did before. I make
- 55:12Speaker 1: the majority of the money, and our retirement checks pay
- 55:15Speaker 1: our three daughters car notes. We have three girls in
- 55:18Speaker 1: college a set of twins that are seniors in a
- 55:21Speaker 1: twenty two year old that is in grad school. The
- 55:24Speaker 1: rest of our money is tied up in tuition and
- 55:27Speaker 1: medical bills. I want us to downsize our house since
- 55:31Speaker 1: we're empty nesters, and that will free up some money
- 55:34Speaker 1: for my husband, who thinks we're still bawling. He is
- 55:38Speaker 1: generous with his time, resources, and our money. He's always
- 55:43Speaker 1: offering to pick up things from the store for his mama,
- 55:46Speaker 1: and he lets his family and friends borrow any and
- 55:49Speaker 1: everything we own. This year, he is volunteered to smoke
- 55:53Speaker 1: turkeys for all of his family. He has four sisters
- 55:57Speaker 1: and his mama. Oh, and he's He's included turkeys for
- 56:01Speaker 1: two of our neighbors. He said he'd buy the turkeys
- 56:04Speaker 1: too this year. Turkeys are very expensive, so I have
- 56:08Speaker 1: issues with him being so generous. I don't mind him
- 56:12Speaker 1: being kind hearted. I just want him to reconsider our
- 56:15Speaker 1: families needs first. How do I get my broke and
- 56:18Speaker 1: generous husband to reel it in? You're right, You're right,
- 56:24Speaker 1: he should put his family first. Food is expensive right now,
- 56:28Speaker 1: and if he wants to smoke turkeys for people, at
- 56:31Speaker 1: least the people can buy the turkeys, and they can
- 56:34Speaker 1: buy the other stuff that goes with it. Well, not
- 56:36Speaker 1: his mom, but everyone else, the neighbors and all of them.
- 56:41Speaker 1: They should buy their own stuff. This is a time
- 56:43Speaker 1: when you guys should be chilling and enjoying life, but
- 56:46Speaker 1: you still have to work to cover all of your expenses.
- 56:50Speaker 1: A lot of retired parents wouldn't even pay their college
- 56:52Speaker 1: kids car notes. I mean they would make the kids
- 56:54Speaker 1: get jobs and pay for their own cars. And as
- 56:57Speaker 1: far as downsizing, you should go on ahead and start
- 57:00Speaker 1: looking for a smaller house than maybe he would know
- 57:03Speaker 1: how serious you are. I don't think it's wise to
- 57:06Speaker 1: live beyond your means. I think that's what you guys
- 57:09Speaker 1: are doing. He still thinks you're bawling. You make the
- 57:13Speaker 1: majority of the money right now, and because that's how
- 57:15Speaker 1: you get broke for real, you really really need to
- 57:19Speaker 1: sit your husband down and have a serious talk about
- 57:22Speaker 1: your finances with him before he spends all of the
- 57:26Speaker 1: money and looks like he's headed that way because he
- 57:29Speaker 1: doesn't know that you guys don't have it like he
- 57:31Speaker 1: used to. Steve, you know something, I really don't know.
- 57:36Speaker 1: I don't really have any advice for her to me.
- 57:39Speaker 1: This entire letter is a teaching lesson for all of us. Yeah,
- 57:45Speaker 1: because this happens to so many people. Ye ye ye,
- 57:50Speaker 1: you work your entire life to prepare for this retirement.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Here's the danger of that. Retirement checks usually pay one
- 58:05Speaker 1: third of what you can't live on. Now that's what
- 58:09Speaker 1: your pension is going to be. They're gonna send you
- 58:12Speaker 1: this money, they say, freely to your house after you
- 58:16Speaker 1: reach sixty five or retirement age. But it's money that
- 58:19Speaker 1: you've paid in. You've paid in this money, they just
- 58:23Speaker 1: withheld it from your checks over the years. Now they're
- 58:26Speaker 1: gonna disperse it to you at a faucet leaked pace
- 58:30Speaker 1: to the point where you can live. But now, look
- 58:33Speaker 1: at what you gotta do. You gotta down size, you
- 58:37Speaker 1: gotta cut back, you gotta quit living like you used
- 58:41Speaker 1: to live. You gotta stop being generous as you used
- 58:46Speaker 1: to be. So instead of addressing this letter, I'm addressing
- 58:50Speaker 1: this from the standpoint of those of you who are
- 58:53Speaker 1: looking at retirement, and possibly some of you who are
- 58:57Speaker 1: in retirement. I can speak on this subject because I
- 59:01Speaker 1: am of retirement age. Now before you get to going
- 59:05Speaker 1: with Steve, and you got all this, and you this
- 59:07Speaker 1: and you that why ain't talking to me? Yeah, okay,
- 59:16Speaker 1: I'm talking to those of you who have a chance
- 59:20Speaker 1: to look at this thing in a different way. This
- 59:23Speaker 1: letter to me is a teaching lesson. So this lady
- 59:29Speaker 1: that both of him retired, but she went back to
- 59:32Speaker 1: work as a customer service manager because she wasn't ready
- 59:35Speaker 1: to be a stay home pet mom and grandmama. Your
- 59:38Speaker 1: husband was a police officer. He took early retirement because
- 59:41Speaker 1: he messed his knee up and after surgery has slowed
- 59:44Speaker 1: him down. So now he's a referee for high school
- 59:47Speaker 1: games here in town. He got to do more running
- 59:49Speaker 1: at the damn game that he did as a police officer.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Police officers don't chase nobody. You've been watching the newsday
- 59:56Speaker 1: five shots. Now he running up and down the field.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: We make a decent living from a few different sauces,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: but it's not enough to maintain the lifestyle we had
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: before we retire. My lord, my lord, So now what's
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: the lesson here? Retirement is only going to lead to
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: you having to take on several different sources of income
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: in order to live the lifestyle that you used to live.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Here is the fix for that? Maybe before you retire everybody.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: We ought to start considering multiple sources of income now,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: so when we get the retirementing residual income, you better
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: preach Steve Harvey different. We'll have part two of your
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: response coming up in twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry letter subjects He's broke but generous. Will get
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: back into it right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: the subject He's broke but generous. I'm using this straw
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: bearing letter as a teaching moment for people. Here's a
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: couple who retired, put their time in, but then she
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: went back to work because she didn't want to be
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: a stay home pet mom and grandmama, so she went
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: back to work full time. Your husband was a police officer.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: He took her early of your time because he messed
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: up his knee and he had surgery. Now he's doing
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: high school football, bells, high school games, and everything, which
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: is more running than he did as a police officer.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: But at least he running from gunfire. So I understand that. Now.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: She said, we make a decent living from a few
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: different sources, but it's not enough to maintain the lifestyle
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: we had before we retired. Now, my teaching moment here
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: is maybe for those of us who are not retired yet,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: maybe you should consider developing a few different sources for
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: income now, so when you do retire, you'll be able
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: to maintain or surpass the lifestyle that you're currently accustomed
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: to living. Because if you're dependent on a pension, folks,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: I learned this when I was selling Amway in my twenties.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: A job gives you a pension that will pay you
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: one third of what you're struggling to live on now.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: My husband doesn't realize that we're lacking financially, and he
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: hasn't cut back on any of the things we did before.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Now I understand that you're married to a generous man.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: He didn't start being generous. He's always pen generous, and
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: that's one of the things you probably loved about your husband.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: The problem now is because the income isn't the same,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: it didn't change the core of him as a person.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: He's still generous. But now you all in a precarious
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: position because you got three girls in college, a set
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: of twins, and twenty two year old that's in grad school.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: And the majority of money that y'all retirement checks pay
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: pays for the three daughters car notes. That's it. The
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: rest of our money tied up in tuition and medical bills.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: Now here's the other part. The ladies say, after all
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: these years of working as a police officer and her
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: retire from her job, I want us to downsize our
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: house since we empty nests, and that will free up
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: some money from my husband. That's cool. I understand that
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: a lot of people get to retirement they downsize because
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: they don't need all the rooms, and understand that, and
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I gotta consider that that's a real thought. I don't
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: everybody won't being on tiny house, tiny house, I surely
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: out of this mine. Everybody don't want at I already
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: know how I feel about tiny home. I had the
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: people on my show when I had to talk show it.
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: They wrote back in talk he was the worst. Oh
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: they did you know? He acted like he didn't want
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: a tiny house. I ain't ask you to come on show,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: say on. And the more you talked about them tiny
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: ass houses, then less I liked them. I'm not a
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: tiny house person. Sorry. Tiny homes are fine for some people.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I there ain't nothing I like. I don't like the
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: crowded ass house. I don't want to take a bath
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: by attaching the dough to the shower and then filling
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: it up. Just ain't a deep down baby like in
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: the bathroom in the kitchen right next to the I
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: don't want all that. I don't want to open up
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: my toilet. And it's a cupboard too. I don't I
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: want my toilet A damn toilet. Its food. You gotta
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: keep stuff in it when you ain't using the bathroo
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: In this tarlet, I'm probably just supposed to be a tarlet.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I don't like multi purpose living. It's a loft during
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: the daytime, in a bed at night. I got to
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: clear all this mess off I'm sleeping. I'm sleeping. I
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: don't want to clear off nothing for I go to bed.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: I don't even like going in the house. Sometime Marger
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: got thirty eight pillars on the damn bed. Sometimes I
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: just go and lay on top of the pillars. Now
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: she made I didn't feel like clearing off the bed.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: I'm sitting over here. I'm sitting up here watching TV.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Now I got to get up because I'm actually sitting
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: on top of the trunk and we got to get
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: something out. I'm watching the game. I don't want to
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: get up sitting up in here. Man. We got one
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: damn TV on this walling. We got full remote, and
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: everybody on commercial break go watch what they want to watch.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: That's not how I'm living, damn tiny house anyway. That's
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: what it happened to be downside you. He's generous with
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: his time, resources and our money. Now you really mad
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: because he bought all these damn people down the street
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: of damn turkey. Yeah, and what they ought to do
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: is just simple like this right here, y'all to buy
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: one turkey and we're passing our turkey sandwiches on Thanksgiving
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: to the one. It be my solution. I'm gonna brain
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: this turkey. I'm gonna carve it out on the front
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: tree lawn until it's gone, and that way you'll be
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: able to feed more families that point. All right, Steve,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: post your comments on today's Strawberry letter. How much this
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: turkey is gonna cost this year? I didn't know they
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: was going up. Everything is going up, everything up where
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: it looked like we gonna well, look like y'all gonna
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: be doing chicken all right, Like like I was saying,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter. It's Steve HARVEYFM
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook, and check out the Strawberry Letter
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: podcast on demand now coming up at forty six minutes
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: after the hour. We got sports Talk with Junior, right
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: you're listening show. All right, guys, it is time now
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: for Junior and sports talk. What you got Junior? All right?
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Surely good. We ain't got to talk about no elections.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: Let's get to some sports man. The next man. The
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: next decided not to hire m. L. Duka. You know,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: he's suspended from the Boston Celtics. The Nets have named
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: the interim coach, Jack Vaughn, the head coach, so he
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: will no longer be the interim He is now the
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: head coach. They didn't want any more bad press. That's
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: what they didn't want. They didn't want what everything they
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: had going on with Steve Nash leaving Cardinary, all the
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Kevin Durant stuff, the NBA commission, and so he would
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: just be adding to the problem with the team. So
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: they said, no, we don't even want to go down
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: a mine called she might have called on their So
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: you're bet not hired as might have been. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: but this fact he got the job. Man. So you know,
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Jack Vaughn thirteen years vet, he got the job man.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: Congratulations brother, good luck to you. Also, speaking of other
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: coaches in the NFL, Man, I don't know if you
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: heard about this, uncle, but the Coats have hired a
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: new coach man. They fired Frank wright Man. He was
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: fired on Monday after three to five and one start. Uh.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: Bad decisions that led to him getting the fired was
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: bringing Carson Wentz to Indianapolis. Then down Carson was playing
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: for the Commanders. Then they brought in Matt Ryan from
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: the Falcons trade picks and everything, and now he got
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: benched last week and he just said, you know, you
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: just don't need to be here no more. So they
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: hired Jeff Saturday, former Indianapolis coach at ESPN, anast that
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: stay coach man. Jeff Saturday has no coaches experience in
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: the NFL. No, he don't need no, no, you don't know.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: He white what he needs to spend because they showed
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: could have ended. Well see what may enter. They can
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: hire him and make him the interroom coach and you
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: don't have to go buy the running rule. You don't
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: even have to interview minority coaches if you just make
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: them an inner room. They did, they wouldn't got a
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: guy that they never coached before. Yeah they do that?
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Who is that? Robert Ursay owns the Jim R say yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Heath that rich boy. Did you know what they want
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: to do? Don't go ahead? Next next story run off
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: while we're surprised if they hired a white boy from
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: coach what hershel is a runoff? Hershel walk? Yeah yeah,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: all right, let me get Jim. Then put an inexperienced
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: white boy as a head coach with no coaching experience.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: They're put a black ass dude in the Senate with
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: no damn experience of leadership of any kin. He didn't
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: even talking to Huddle. Why wown right there? Will you
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: put that together? Big? All right? Who you got the
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: night man? Falcons and the Panthers playing the night Who
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: you got just make Falcons Falcons the idiot? So that's
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Thursday night football man. But I can't believe you just
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: put that together so fast? All right, junior, thank you?
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Now coming up at the top of the hour, a
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: guy on social media needs advice from you. Steve about
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: breaking man law codes. We'll talk about it right after
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: this you're listening to all right, So Steve Kelvin on
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Facebook writes, my homie s ex girlfriend just asked me out.
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: As a rule, I know, I know that's forbidden fruit
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: and should be strictly avoided. However, he really screwed up
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: that relationship. She left him and by the way, they've
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: been broken up for over a year and she's really
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: really sweet and fine as hell. Uncle Steve helped me out.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: Is there any way I can break the man code
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: or man law? Well, how close are you in here?
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: That's important? They're homies. Well you know there's different levels
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: of home. See they throw that round nowadays. That ain't heavy. Yeah, Okay,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: he's excited because this girl didn't asked him out. Yeah yeah,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: so he know he halfway around the bases, already stepping
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: on home play this just minutes away, so you know
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: we already know what that is. So look, man, here's
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: always if it's his best friend, we can't do it.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: You can't do that. Well he didn't say that for
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: a reason as well. Well, he's not the best friend.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: They just home. They know each other, right. The problem
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: is let me explain something to you. Both of them
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: were in mind each other while she was in the relationship,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: though both of them, her and him. He going mile,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: he got a real one a right, they've been looking
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: at each other for a while. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: that's what your uncle is saying. And so she knows
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: that he ain't gonna say nothing. That's why she made
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: the move and said, can we go out just get
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: to know each other? And it's what he want to do,
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: so so much, so much again for we was just friends.
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: So here's a question. Question, does it matter that it's
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: been over a year. I'm asking if if it was
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: his best friend or his dog. I don't think they dogs,
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: though he would have said that. I think if if
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: that were the case, the word sweet, she's sweet, and
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: he didn't he use that. Yeah, man, don't say that.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Yeah she's sweet, she's really Tommy, he says, she's really
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: really sweet. He don't. He's in. He's already in. Yeah,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: he didn't found somebody can fine sweet and fine and fun.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: She's sweet like mama, mama. It's been over a year.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: They're just homie. He gonna gone. Yeah, it's business. Daughter,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Now you and the dude, y'all ain't cool no more.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: As long as you're okay with you and the guy
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: not being cool no more, make your move. If losing
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: his friendship matters that y'all really don't have, but you
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: cool with y'all not being cool, make you move. What
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: if he go tells him before he does anything? Man,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: I wish i'all would. What just ask? You know? So
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: if you go tell the homie, hey, you know we're
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: digging on each other that I know? Yeah, asked me out.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: I've been talking with a man and we kind of
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: want to start dating. Man, I won't get your blessing.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: I don't really think they in that type of relationship.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: You don't ask for a blessing from your peer. You
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: go to her. You go to her daddy and her
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: mama for that. You go to her to her grandfather.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: You don'na go to your peer for permission to date.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Much and much dirt you got on your boy. Yeah,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: it really sounds like he's gonna go, huh, how that's
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: gonna go when he when the homies see them out together,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: how that's gonna Oh, hes gonna be over that. He
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: gonna have a drink straw in his mouth, and he
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: gonna be looking over the top of that glass at
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: them the whole damn time drink straw. Who Oh. He
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: might not say nothing because he knows boy got hand,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: but he gonna be looking over the top of that
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: drink like this him. M hmm. This is it. I
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: call it the infant strong. You can't get no juice
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: through that thing. Your whole and if you try to
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: drink out that strong, your boy, your cave, your whole head.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: up for twenty minutes after. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: to Harvey Morning Show. Black Panther would Conduct Forever might
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: be the biggest sequel this year, and the movie opens
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: this Friday. Yes, uh yeah, excited, excited about it. Chadwick Bowsman,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: who played to Challah, died in August of twenty twenty
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: at the age of forty three. Marvel made the decision
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: not to recast his character now. According to MSN, Chadwick
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: was a larger than life actor, a man who played
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: practically every famous black figure one could imagine, from Jackie
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Robinson to Third Goood Marshal to James Brown. His role
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: as to Challa was inextricably tied to him. His most
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: famous fictional character inspired many fans, but especially fans of color.
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: Now the sequel will also celebrate diversity and our culture.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Rihanna's song Lift Me Up is a beautiful tribute to Chadwick.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: We played it on the show last week or a
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago. We play every day. Yeah, and
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I mean we we I should say we introduced, but
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: that's what I meant. We introduced. Thank you. We play
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: it every day. We played every day, Shelley just it
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: is what I meant to say. Stop taking your head
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: sets off when the music come on, because I love
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Rihanna and I love that song. Black Panther Wakonda Forever
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: is in theaters tomorrow. Yes, I can't wait on all right?
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Coming up in thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: play another round. I would you rather right after this?
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: You're listening to morning show time now guys for would
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: you rather all right? Would you rather have family over
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: for Thanksgiving? Or would you rather go to their house?
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Own home? No? No, I would rather go to the

- 1:18:12Speaker 1: thought it was my surprise birthday party. Who The only
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: thing they didn't do was jump out and go surprise.
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: And as I man, it was mold and mold and
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: anybody yea asked me for some money. Doctor. The dude
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: stayed next to her, say, Man, I'm finally man, Man,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: the Lord put you man, Man, you are answering to
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: bro Bro. Don't go there, no, man, you are answer
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: to my prayer. He pulled a folder out. He had
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: a whole business proposal of an invention that was already out.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: He had invented some sunglasses that you put on and
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: on the end of the sun glasses, they had ear buds,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: so it blocked the sun while you listening to music.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: You don't think that's bro bro bro just out already,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: no no no, but displayed only the music you want
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: to hear. Yeah, though that's out already called downloads. Yeah yeah,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: no no, brother, I said, what's special about the glass?
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Ain't nothing special about the glass? Okay, okay, ear buds?
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: All right? Would you rather have to cook the turkey
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: for Thanksgiving or clean up after the Thanksgiving dinner? Which one? Hey, hey,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: I'm not finn to clean up? Oh no, no, no, no,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: no no, I'm gonna inject that turkey with my favorite stuff.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: And then I got that butterball or deep fry. Put
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: that thing up on that counter four minutes propound injected,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: rub some seasons on it, drop that bad boy in
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: that's at that time. We'll put that heat on three
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: seventy five. Good boy, Oh, it'd be smelling good. What
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: a lot. But that's a lot at work than you. Why,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: that's why, that's that's why you will surely be a
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: Popeye's on Thanksgiving through all right. That's today's rounded rather
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: in the shape over Turkey coming up in forty nine
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. It's our last break of the day,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: and we'll have some closing remarks from the one and
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: at least Steve Harvey right after this. You're listening to
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, it is
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: time for Steve's closing remarks. Now, Steve, this is our
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: last break of the day. Before you get to the
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: closing remarks, the caller left a voice message earlier about
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: your closing remarks, the one you the ones you did yesterday.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: So here it is a wonderful Steve Harvey. That red
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: there was a beautiful closed and red mark about that politics.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: And when you mentioned the goal of it, you got God.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: That red there was one of the strongest words that
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: I heard through spactly through that politics. If you got God,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: You're gonna make it. You ain't got to renounce me.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: I'm just telling you, Steve Harvey, I pulled my car
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: over to listen to that, and I'll come out together.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: But I got God. If you got God, and through
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: it all, my brother, Steve Harvey, thank God for you.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that, thank God for you. Just revel
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: will again. Thank God for you. That red there covered
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: everything on this hurt. If you got God, don't matter
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: what they're doing it, the politics, don't matter who they're
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: doing this, who they putting in the White House, whoever.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: If you got God, you're gonna make it. You're gonna
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: make it if you put me on the readio. Please, folks, please,
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: in the name of Jesus, not just black folks, all folks,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: turn on you're readio and listen to these remarks that
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: this man is given from God. Thank God for you,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: my brother. You got God, I got God. And touch them.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: Believe I'm gonna keep them until I leave this search.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: In the name of Jesus. Father, God touched Steve or
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: he read, Now touch them, God read Now touch him Red.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: Now circle around them. God, with your love. How powerful
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: and wonderful you are. Keep guiding this man to help us. Father,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: Keep using them, God, keep using them in the name
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. Amen, Wow, Wow, Steve,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: Wow Will All right? He shouldn't breaking me. Yeah, you
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: know what it's like, you know, you know, you work
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: and you and you do things. It's really funny because
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: I was reading a scripture yesterday and it says I'm
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: paraphrasing it, never ceasing doing good, you know, just a man,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: just keep trying to the best of your effort to
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: be the best person you can to do God's will
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: when you can. Ain't nobody doing it all the time.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Let's get off that right there. But if you're doing
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: the best you can when you can and giving it effort,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: you know, you just never know. You never know how
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: your deeds or your words is going to affect somebody.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Because look, we sit on this radio. We don't get
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: instant reaction, you know, we just do the radio show.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: We don't know if we're uplifting somebody's day. We hope
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: we are. We don't know if we're really driving people
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: to the polls. We hope we are. We don't know
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: if we were giving you that laugh, that laugh that
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: could make your day just a little bit better. We
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: hope we are. But every now and then, you get
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: confirmation every now and then. Because it was really weird, man,
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: because I was talking to God the other day and
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: I said, God, I just need to sign from you
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: that I'm on track, and that's in every aspect of
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: my life. And I wasn't even talking about the radio,
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: per se. I was just talking about other other things.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: But God has a way of going way deeper and
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: further than you even ask. He will give you exceedingly
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: and abundantly over all you think I asked. That's just
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: his way. And little did I know. I needed that
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: guy today because you talk on the radio and you
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: don't know if you're reaching people you don't know, you
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: don't know. Look, I do these closing remarks, I do
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: my opening remarks. I'm just doing a form of what
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: God telled me to do. But you know what, that
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: man was right because what I said was true in
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: my heart that I don't care what nobody do. As
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: long as I got God, I'm gonna be fine. I'm
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: going to be just fine because I'm tucked under his wings.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: I'm covered. I asked God to cover me. I've watched
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: him do it in some moments that I didn't even
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: I didn't know how I got through some of this
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: stuff out have been but I watched Him cover me
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: time and time and time again. He's the greatest force
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: I have in my life. Today. Oh, I got nice family,
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: but they flogged. I got a wonderful marriage. It's days
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: where it's work. But that God I got. He consistent man,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: He won hunted all day. He don't ever change. He
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: thus sad. When I go to him forgiveness, I ain't
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: got to explain nothing. He give it to me. When
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: I asked him for help, he don't turn around and say, well,
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: what you're gonna do? He just helped me. When I
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: called him to calm my spirit down, he calms it down.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: I don't know how to do it, but he do it.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: He won. He fool proof man, God is fool proof.
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: If you need something in your life that's consistent, that's
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: fool proof. I strongly suggest you form a relationship with God,
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: and you ain't got to go to no particular church
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: to get that done. You ain't got to go to
