Jonathan Cole: make sure African American voters didn't get purged off the rolls and to get them the voter records. And they ⁓ house to house on most churches help, but they find African Americans that don't even have. driver's license or even one of those ID cards you can get from the state because they hardly ever go out they just A lot of them have medical issues and things or they just don't trust the government They don't think their votes gonna count and so there's a lot of people that just don't so they're not gonna go through these hoops. So yeah And you know a lot of them don't have birth certificates Some of them were born at home and it was never registered. It was a lot of, you know, we talk about right by privilege, but it is a real thing in a lot of ways and I've seen it, especially in this case. You can disenfranchise a lot of African American voters with this or even not allow new ones to even be able to register.
