- 1:43Speaker 1: Got to turn them out, to turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water got me come come on your back now. Uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I shore will good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now one it only Steve harvey
- 2:09Speaker 1: Man got a radio show. Real glad about it too,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you know. Um, I hope that God always keeps me
- 2:19Speaker 1: in the frame of frame of mind to try to
- 2:22Speaker 1: be sharing and try to be motivational, and even when
- 2:27Speaker 1: it's not felt or wanted by some people. I have
- 2:32Speaker 1: people around me who seem to not benefited off anything,
- 2:37Speaker 1: and I can sit with them and talk to them
- 2:40Speaker 1: or take meetings with them to try to encourage them,
- 2:43Speaker 1: and for whatever reason, you know, they want to just
- 2:45Speaker 1: keep going the way they're going. When you run into
- 2:48Speaker 1: people like that, you have to pray for them. You
- 2:50Speaker 1: have to just hope that one day that they release
- 2:54Speaker 1: the chains on their mind and open up your mind
- 2:56Speaker 1: to a new way of thinking. A couple of things
- 2:58Speaker 1: I wanted to go over with that I want you
- 3:00Speaker 1: to all today in terms of motivation, I want you
- 3:05Speaker 1: to be aware of statements or old sayings that have
- 3:10Speaker 1: been created that you hear over the course of time,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and you may be applying them to your life. And
- 3:17Speaker 1: I want you to be careful of some of them
- 3:20Speaker 1: because some of these old sayings, man, are not designed
- 3:25Speaker 1: for people who are dreamers, are not designed for people
- 3:30Speaker 1: who have any aspirations of being extraordinary. These are not
- 3:35Speaker 1: designs or sayings that people who want to be extremely
- 3:40Speaker 1: successful at anything or have high aspirations to put these
- 3:45Speaker 1: sayings into your life. Let me give you an example.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Statistics say that's it. That's the one who want you
- 3:56Speaker 1: to be careful about statistics, say, be very careful of stats.
- 4:04Speaker 1: When a person says, you know statistics, say one out
- 4:08Speaker 1: of every what see, listen to me. These are things
- 4:13Speaker 1: that sound like they're good, sound solid advice, but they're
- 4:17Speaker 1: setting you up for failure. And you can't adhere yourself
- 4:22Speaker 1: to a lot of these sayings that's been passed down
- 4:25Speaker 1: from generations, and it's not scripture, it ain't in the
- 4:30Speaker 1: scripture nowhere that statistics say. It's just some people and
- 4:35Speaker 1: a lot of people who have lost have come up
- 4:38Speaker 1: with these sayings to justify why they keep losing or
- 4:42Speaker 1: why they lost. When I was arst got started in
- 4:46Speaker 1: the business, there were more stand ups around now than
- 4:51Speaker 1: it is today because the comedy boom in eighty four
- 4:55Speaker 1: eighty five was it was gaining a lot of momentum,
- 5:00Speaker 1: comedy clubs, comedy nights everywhere. The statistic that a guy
- 5:04Speaker 1: told me I told him I wanted to be on
- 5:09Speaker 1: the Johnny Carson Show, the Tonight Show. The guy said,
- 5:15Speaker 1: one out of every two thousand comedians ever make it
- 5:21Speaker 1: to the Tonight Show. Okay, Now, when he told us that,
- 5:28Speaker 1: some of the comedians in the room went, well, wow,
- 5:31Speaker 1: man's oh that's rough. Because a guy had also said
- 5:36Speaker 1: that there was approximately six thousand comedians in the country
- 5:41Speaker 1: at that time. I don't know if it was true.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I'm just telling you guy was out there spu and numbers.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I have no idea how many it was, but he
- 5:48Speaker 1: said one in every two thousand will make it to
- 5:51Speaker 1: the Tonight Show. And he let the air out of
- 5:53Speaker 1: everybody in the room. Button be so every night before
- 5:58Speaker 1: I went on stage. I used to do this right here.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Badamada bada la la la da, Badama Bla la da.
- 6:08Speaker 1: That was the tonight theme song. I was young, opening
- 6:12Speaker 1: act nowhere near Hollywood, didn't. I was in Cleveland telling
- 6:16Speaker 1: jokes at one night us. But that was my thing
- 6:19Speaker 1: because I was bent and determined that if it's one
- 6:23Speaker 1: in two thousand, okay, why don't I just be the one?
- 6:27Speaker 1: Be careful when people say so statistics say because they
- 6:31Speaker 1: are set up to ful failure. If you're gonna adhere
- 6:33Speaker 1: to him, see that one in so many It wasn't
- 6:36Speaker 1: so many people win the lottery. But if you don't
- 6:38Speaker 1: play the lottery, you ain't gonna be the one to hit.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Now when the dude hit you go while he was lucky,
- 6:42Speaker 1: but he played. Here's another one. Maybe it's not meant
- 6:47Speaker 1: to be right. Let's go one step further. I guess
- 6:52Speaker 1: it wasn't the Lord's will. Don't you dare blame God
- 6:57Speaker 1: for something you may have not on yourself because you
- 7:02Speaker 1: didn't get the proper education, because you didn't do the
- 7:05Speaker 1: things you were supposed to do, because you didn't stay
- 7:09Speaker 1: to the task, because you quit turned around and went
- 7:12Speaker 1: the other way. Now, maybe it's not. It wasn't the
- 7:15Speaker 1: Lord's will. These are all statements that sound like sound advice,
- 7:22Speaker 1: but they ain't all the time, got nothing to do
- 7:24Speaker 1: with you. Stop letting these old fogy sayings get in
- 7:29Speaker 1: your way of what can happen in your life. Don't
- 7:33Speaker 1: put all your eggs in one basket? Wow, who came
- 7:39Speaker 1: up with this? Who came over with them? If you
- 7:42Speaker 1: don't pour all your efforts into one thing, how are
- 7:45Speaker 1: you gonna be great at that one thing? If Kobe Bryant,
- 7:50Speaker 1: Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird had not played basketball
- 7:55Speaker 1: sun up to sundown, these as guys that put all
- 7:59Speaker 1: their eggs in one basket. See what's cool with putting
- 8:03Speaker 1: all your eggs in one basket is you now can
- 8:05Speaker 1: maximize your effort and laser beam what you're doing. If
- 8:10Speaker 1: your basket is made out of faith, hope, hard work,
- 8:15Speaker 1: and belief, then guess what, that's a good basket. I'm
- 8:18Speaker 1: dumping all mine in it. Because ever since I was
- 8:21Speaker 1: a young dude, I've been telling jokes one thing, one
- 8:25Speaker 1: thing only. Even when it got ugly and I was
- 8:27Speaker 1: living in a car, I never quit telling them jokes man.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I just kept believing that them jokes was gonna pay
- 8:33Speaker 1: me one day, and I'll be dog gone if it didn't.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I ain't taking no time off. Go work at the Walmart.
- 8:39Speaker 1: Give me a job, go back to forward and beg
- 8:41Speaker 1: for my job back. Hey man, put all your eggs
- 8:45Speaker 1: in a basket. Just make sure that your basket is
- 8:47Speaker 1: made up of faith, hope, belief, hard work. Your basket
- 8:53Speaker 1: woven by God what you're tripping for. And then here's
- 8:57Speaker 1: another one. Let me throw this one that you always
- 8:59Speaker 1: have a plan B. Why do you have a plan B?
- 9:02Speaker 1: Listen to me. In order to have a plan B,
- 9:05Speaker 1: you have to stop working on plan A to formulate
- 9:08Speaker 1: Plan B. In order to have plan B to fall
- 9:11Speaker 1: back on. You now have to stop your time working
- 9:14Speaker 1: on plan A to apply some effort to have a
- 9:16Speaker 1: plan B. So in case plan A don't work, you
- 9:19Speaker 1: can fall back on plan B. Really, who told you
- 9:22Speaker 1: that you're defeating yourself? Where is your faith? Where is
- 9:27Speaker 1: your belief? At one point in time, you got to
- 9:30Speaker 1: bleed that God could do what he say gonna do
- 9:32Speaker 1: because he didn't done it for others, he'll most certainly
- 9:35Speaker 1: do it for you. Be careful of these sayings that's
- 9:38Speaker 1: out here, that's aligned by losers and people to justify
- 9:42Speaker 1: why they are not succeeded. Don't apply this stuff to
- 9:45Speaker 1: your life, and it ain't got nothing to do with you.
- 9:47Speaker 1: You're gonna mess yourself up. Get your plan A, make
- 9:50Speaker 1: it work if it don't ever come to pass, and
- 9:53Speaker 1: get another plan A. All right, okay, you're listening show
- 10:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Let me have your undivided attention. What
- 10:07Speaker 1: I'm about to do now is unplanned, unrehearsed, have given
- 10:12Speaker 1: it no prior thought. I don't do pre show, so
- 10:17Speaker 1: out whatever I'm going to do, I don't even know
- 10:20Speaker 1: what it is. If you don't know me by nine,
- 10:28Speaker 1: you will never never never know me. Who No, sir,
- 10:38Speaker 1: you don't know by nah. If you don't, you will
- 10:47Speaker 1: never never never know me. We all got chilling straw barn,
- 11:04Speaker 1: good morning, and then that caror for real you better
- 11:12Speaker 1: sing good morning Steed, And then you come along a
- 11:18Speaker 1: little boy named Junior Morning off morning on next one's
- 11:25Speaker 1: old ass hell. Jaffy Brown was up, Hobby was then
- 11:35Speaker 1: nothing better? The fool somebody down up that all? I
- 11:43Speaker 1: mean you fe time kneasy up top thing it on end,
- 11:54Speaker 1: big gol, that's it, man, I just you know. I
- 11:57Speaker 1: told you it was unrehearsed. All of ain't worked it
- 12:01Speaker 1: out at I only know what I did. I don't
- 12:09Speaker 1: even know what it is I did. Thank you. Well.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Weekend is over, man, I actually I'm actually having weekends again.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I'm back at work full time. Family few to COVID
- 12:31Speaker 1: test a week. Everybody that comes on that lot, on
- 12:37Speaker 1: that stage has to be COVID tested twice a week,
- 12:41Speaker 1: has to test negative and get a different color band
- 12:44Speaker 1: every day. You get your temperature to check. You can't
- 12:47Speaker 1: even come into studio. They not playing that family few.
- 12:51Speaker 1: All the families is tested. All the families have to
- 12:53Speaker 1: wear masks until game time. My podium is eight feet
- 12:58Speaker 1: away from all contests, and instead of going from side
- 13:01Speaker 1: to side, I stand in the middle in a gray
- 13:04Speaker 1: area and talk to the contestants from them, so shows distancing. Well.
- 13:09Speaker 1: We turn around to play fans money. I don't even
- 13:11Speaker 1: touch people though, I don't even see I'm eight feet
- 13:13Speaker 1: away from the whole time. Yes, Donald Trump, a call,
- 13:26Speaker 1: all right, coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Get ready, it is that time, you know, what time
- 13:32Speaker 1: it is Asked the CLO Steve's favorite segment, the Chief
- 13:36Speaker 1: Love Officer, or Chloe, as Timmy calls it. We'll get
- 13:39Speaker 1: into that right after this. Get ready, Steve Harvey, Stay ready.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You're listening to show Steve it is time for you
- 13:49Speaker 1: to help some listeners with Ask the CLO. Okay, and
- 13:53Speaker 1: if you want Steve to help you with your love problems,
- 13:56Speaker 1: you can submit your questions to Steve Harvey FM dot com.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Are you ready, sir? One more time? Stay, stay ready,
- 14:05Speaker 1: Let's go. This one is from LaToya and Callie. LaToya says,
- 14:09Speaker 1: my sister is married, but she also tells me that
- 14:11Speaker 1: she's in a committed relationship with her boyfriend. She thinks
- 14:15Speaker 1: her boyfriend loves her because he makes time to have
- 14:18Speaker 1: sex with her undeserted roads and in fleabag motels. She
- 14:21Speaker 1: has no idea of what real commitment is, and I'm
- 14:24Speaker 1: sure she's addicted to the sex. She's ready to leave
- 14:27Speaker 1: her husband for him, but he will not leave his
- 14:30Speaker 1: wife for her. I'm afraid she's about to really mess
- 14:34Speaker 1: up her life and I refuse to let her do it.
- 14:37Speaker 1: How can I get her to see the light? Well,
- 14:40Speaker 1: I mean her boyfriend has a wife that he's not
- 14:44Speaker 1: leaving his wife for because he knows that he can
- 14:47Speaker 1: have sex with you on the side of the road
- 14:49Speaker 1: and in flee ridden hotels. He can't take his wife
- 14:53Speaker 1: on the side of the road and put in no
- 14:55Speaker 1: fleebidden home. Yeah, so why would he lead woman with
- 15:00Speaker 1: standards to go with the one that ain't got enohing?
- 15:02Speaker 1: Right now, you're gonna give up your husband, which obviously
- 15:05Speaker 1: you ain't putting the right time in with him. Anyway.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I don't know what you could tell your sister except
- 15:11Speaker 1: to stop before she blows her life. But she's already
- 15:14Speaker 1: jacked up, so I don't know. Sometimes these things have
- 15:17Speaker 1: to play out. It's like a junkie, you know, if
- 15:21Speaker 1: if if the junkie don't want to get help, you
- 15:23Speaker 1: want to help the junkie all you want. You know,
- 15:27Speaker 1: you need to hear junk because called junkie is a
- 15:32Speaker 1: good ass term called junkie. Junk mind you of what's
- 15:36Speaker 1: really happening. Explain to our younger crowd or someone who's
- 15:42Speaker 1: addicted to something. Yeah, you could be addicted to paying pills,
- 15:49Speaker 1: you could be addicted to sex, you could be addicted
- 15:51Speaker 1: to drugs, alcohol, that's an food. Yeah, but junkie, it's
- 15:56Speaker 1: just on drugs. They just drugs on this ain't no
- 16:01Speaker 1: damn alcohol. These ain't playing a junker ass is own
- 16:06Speaker 1: own drugs. Damn that damn junk. Thanks for breaking it
- 16:15Speaker 1: down that all right, And I want to make sure
- 16:21Speaker 1: I got that out the way from missing Mississippi Monica
- 16:23Speaker 1: jumped in here with her two damn degrees to give
- 16:26Speaker 1: you the technical turn mother. So that's what it is.
- 16:28Speaker 1: That what a junk? I don't care what you say
- 16:31Speaker 1: that one more time? What is it again? Or junk?
- 16:34Speaker 1: Just old Drew all right? All right? L D heroin
- 16:44Speaker 1: all that junk. That's a jump, all right. I think
- 16:50Speaker 1: we're all clear now, yeah, clar yes, we're Yeah. It's
- 16:54Speaker 1: a good thing. We're moving on. In Southfield, Michigan, says,
- 16:59Speaker 1: I've been man married for eleven years, and my husband
- 17:02Speaker 1: and I have done quite well for ourselves. Because of this.
- 17:05Speaker 1: My husband's family is always hitting us up to borrow money,
- 17:09Speaker 1: and my husband believes in sharing the wealth. I don't,
- 17:13Speaker 1: and I have asked him to stop giving money to
- 17:16Speaker 1: grown people that can hustle and work hard like we do.
- 17:20Speaker 1: He says, I'm selfish and it's a blessing to help others.
- 17:24Speaker 1: So I hit his check book and change the passcode
- 17:27Speaker 1: on our debit cards. If he wants to give them money,
- 17:30Speaker 1: he can get it from his personal savings account. He's furious,
- 17:34Speaker 1: Am I wrong? No, here's a deal. This is the
- 17:37Speaker 1: way it works. Let me help you understand. Every married
- 17:40Speaker 1: couple should have minimal for bank accounts. The savings account
- 17:44Speaker 1: where both of you all put you all money in there,
- 17:46Speaker 1: and it saves in a personal account, and it pays
- 17:49Speaker 1: for all the bills that you have to survival, house rent,
- 17:52Speaker 1: car notes, day day. Nay nay. The next account is
- 17:55Speaker 1: a joint savings account that requires two people to attach
- 18:00Speaker 1: signature to to move the money. The other account is
- 18:02Speaker 1: your personal account as a woman and his personal account
- 18:05Speaker 1: as the man. Once you divide that up to decide
- 18:08Speaker 1: who gets what, he could take all his personal money
- 18:11Speaker 1: and give it to all his damn family members if
- 18:13Speaker 1: he wants, but it cannot affect the household budget. That's
- 18:16Speaker 1: the way it works. So once you all decide on
- 18:19Speaker 1: what the allowance is for each one of you, take
- 18:22Speaker 1: it outside, put it in the rain barrel, and set
- 18:25Speaker 1: it on five people. You know what I'm saying, and
- 18:29Speaker 1: then then you ain't gonna worry about it. But what
- 18:31Speaker 1: he can't expect you to do is take money out
- 18:33Speaker 1: the bank that you could be doing something for your
- 18:36Speaker 1: family and what you want to save for, just split
- 18:38Speaker 1: it up into the fault bank account. And what do
- 18:40Speaker 1: he do with his money every month? Person he loaned
- 18:42Speaker 1: it out by Cigard, do whatever he wants to do.
- 18:45Speaker 1: That's how we do it in my house. And then
- 18:47Speaker 1: cold down on everything. I can't say nothing by what
- 18:50Speaker 1: she did with her but nah, man, she do what
- 18:52Speaker 1: she want to do. That's hers. If she want to
- 18:55Speaker 1: save her money up to buy something really expensive in
- 18:57Speaker 1: a few months, she do that. If I don't want
- 19:00Speaker 1: to spend none of my money that month, which I
- 19:02Speaker 1: can as long as I'm working, I don't. I don't
- 19:04Speaker 1: do that. Didn't look up and I had a little
- 19:05Speaker 1: extra money, you know, I'm like, do some crafty But
- 19:08Speaker 1: all we ended up doing something for them any damn way.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Remember when we were in La Steve in the studio
- 19:14Speaker 1: and you every day somebody would come by with something else,
- 19:18Speaker 1: some suits, some shoes. Yeah, but I was on limited
- 19:22Speaker 1: budget back now, Yeah, you wallar rific as I am to.
- 19:28Speaker 1: I know, we really did hats one day. Glass is
- 19:34Speaker 1: the next Junior? Huh, all right, we're moving on. This
- 19:39Speaker 1: is This is from Sean and Hoover. He says, I'm
- 19:43Speaker 1: twenty six years old and I was hospitalized for a
- 19:45Speaker 1: coronavirus before because of complications from asthma. I've been out
- 19:51Speaker 1: of the hospital two weeks, and my family has shunned me.
- 19:53Speaker 1: They are Trump supporters, and they don't believe the virus
- 19:56Speaker 1: is an issue anymore because Trump has downplayed it so much.
- 20:00Speaker 1: They're fearful that I'm still contagious. They still refused to
- 20:03Speaker 1: wear masters or stop having social gatherings. How can I
- 20:07Speaker 1: educate these ignorant people? Yes, my parents about what's going
- 20:10Speaker 1: on with COVID nineteen. If your damn near death didn't
- 20:15Speaker 1: get their attention, I don't know what else you can do.
- 20:20Speaker 1: That's the problem we got. There's too many damn stupid
- 20:23Speaker 1: people you will hospitalized with it. Yeah, what else is it?
- 20:28Speaker 1: That's why we're leading the world in depths and cases
- 20:32Speaker 1: and we only four percent of the the population. Because we're
- 20:34Speaker 1: listening to that man in the White House. He got
- 20:37Speaker 1: to go, all right, he will come November three, all right?
- 20:41Speaker 1: Coming up next, Church Complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon
- 20:44Speaker 1: Depth jam is back right after this. You're listening morning
- 20:50Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour, Miss
- 20:52Speaker 1: Anna's here with today's national news. President Trump's younger brother,
- 20:56Speaker 1: Robert Trump, passed away on Saturday. He was seventy one
- 21:00Speaker 1: years old. Also in trending political news, we'll tell you
- 21:04Speaker 1: about the speakers and performers that this week's Democratic National
- 21:08Speaker 1: Convention going down in Milwaukee. And we'll also tell you
- 21:12Speaker 1: all these stories at the top of the hour. But
- 21:14Speaker 1: today's Monday. Reverend Motown, Dick and def Jammer here with
- 21:17Speaker 1: today's church for we are doing all of my answers
- 21:28Speaker 1: to all of the complaints. No matter what you say,
- 21:32Speaker 1: Deacon like you don't have to change Narick complaint. I am.
- 21:37Speaker 1: I am going to answer all the church complaints under
- 21:41Speaker 1: a thing today. Go ahead, Beacon shared with you. I
- 21:47Speaker 1: will surprise you. You just gon surprisday. All right, let's
- 21:50Speaker 1: get down the business. I brother reevas out he tested
- 21:54Speaker 1: positive for COVID nineteen, but he read it around. He
- 21:59Speaker 1: asked they tested positive for cocaine on the nineteenth of July.
- 22:05Speaker 1: He's asking us to build him out for two thousands.
- 22:09Speaker 1: So you tested positive for cocaine. Is exactly what we're
- 22:15Speaker 1: gonna treat you as he is no longer allowed to
- 22:19Speaker 1: come to any service of any kind. In the best
- 22:22Speaker 1: place for him to ride this quarantine out is down
- 22:25Speaker 1: there at the jailhouse. Go ahead, we gonna leave him there, Okay,
- 22:30Speaker 1: all right, Mister Patterson has been making masks for all
- 22:35Speaker 1: the members for ten dollars. Now. Sister Delords Cavanaugh ordered
- 22:39Speaker 1: the mask and when she got it, it was too
- 22:42Speaker 1: mad sewn together. She called Sister Patterson asked her, why
- 22:47Speaker 1: is it like this? Sister Patterson told her because you
- 22:49Speaker 1: two faced it. Uh. So Delords wants some money back
- 22:56Speaker 1: and needs the church to help her get you know,
- 22:58Speaker 1: to get her ten dollars leve. I've asked sister who
- 23:03Speaker 1: is the mask maker to or make personalized mask for
- 23:09Speaker 1: members of the church. Or there was a man a
- 23:13Speaker 1: family feud this week who was so large. He put
- 23:19Speaker 1: his mask on and it looked like a stamp. Wow,
- 23:24Speaker 1: he had lived no everything where ever they without the mask.
- 23:29Speaker 1: So I have asked the mask maker at the church
- 23:31Speaker 1: to personalize the mask from now on. So if you're

- 24:33Speaker 1: been held back. There'll be nothing new. He ain't he
- 24:37Speaker 1: ain't graduated, ain't got no plans or graduation. She needed
- 24:41Speaker 1: to stop with this boy. There is no there is
- 24:45Speaker 1: no diploma that can help him. At this point. He didn't.
- 24:50Speaker 1: He's still living with her path. Well, he's been taking

- 26:14Speaker 1: I said. I'm sorry. You might want to go back. Okay,
- 26:19Speaker 1: you see Hill, I'm about to show you something. All
- 26:24Speaker 1: that time listening up here missing up. Brother Kendry Lewis,
- 26:32Speaker 1: who you know was blind, he brought it. He bought
- 26:34Speaker 1: a Spanish guide dog from a Spanish family. Now he's
- 26:38Speaker 1: saying that the dog don't speak English, and he keeps
- 26:42Speaker 1: walking him but he don't hear English. He don't know English,
- 26:47Speaker 1: so that's the prowning. But the dog keeps walking him
- 26:50Speaker 1: to Coco him Taco Bell. Ah, he's asking that the
- 26:54Speaker 1: church getting him a dog that knows English. That's what
- 26:56Speaker 1: he asked. Well he has it all room. You don't

- 27:59Speaker 1: I own zoom. At the church, some of the sisters
- 28:03Speaker 1: are not wearing one. And I know you probably didn't
- 28:05Speaker 1: have noticed that. I don't know if I have noticed that,
- 28:08Speaker 1: and I have this just tweeting me and you, Deacon
- 28:11Speaker 1: off the air. I sent Craven rave On down there
- 28:15Speaker 1: to do that because there was certain sisters that needed
- 28:19Speaker 1: to be browlish and tool. You know, I didn't know

- 29:28Speaker 1: best friend. Joe Biden sent the President an empathetic note, saying,

- 32:46Speaker 1: I am too, all right, Steve, another weekend of heavy
- 32:51Speaker 1: gun violence in Chicago and in New York. Yeah, we're
- 32:55Speaker 1: gonna get the latest done. Today's headline, so miss a Tree.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Thank you very much, everybody. This is a trip to
- 33:02Speaker 1: the news and good Monday morning. While the first ever
- 33:05Speaker 1: Virtual Democratic National Convention opens today with a spirit of
- 33:09Speaker 1: unity and shared purpose, the party's modern liberal wings are agreeing,
- 33:12Speaker 1: at least for now, to set aside their differences and
- 33:15Speaker 1: focus on defeating President Trump in November. Tonight's theme is
- 33:19Speaker 1: we the People and as you just heard. Some of
- 33:22Speaker 1: the speakers include Bernie Sanders and former First Lady Michelle Obama.
- 33:25Speaker 1: By the way, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have expressed
- 33:28Speaker 1: their condolences to President Trump as he mourns the loss
- 33:31Speaker 1: of his younger brother, Robert, who dies Saturday nine. He
- 33:34Speaker 1: was seventy one. The White House has not yet provided
- 33:36Speaker 1: a cause of death. However, Robert Trump was reportedly on
- 33:40Speaker 1: blood thinners and experience of brain bleeding after a recent fall.
- 33:44Speaker 1: The President says his brother Robert was his best friend.
- 33:47Speaker 1: The House Democratic leadership has decided to bring the nation's
- 33:50Speaker 1: congressmen and women back from this summer recess this week
- 33:53Speaker 1: to discuss some of the issues of facing the US
- 33:55Speaker 1: Postal Service and to vote on the Delivery for America Act.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Union members have complained that the man that Donald Trump
- 34:04Speaker 1: appointed to head the mail agency, Lewis de Joy, has
- 34:06Speaker 1: been slowing down mail delivery, and CNN and other news
- 34:10Speaker 1: organizations have reported that Postal Service has been removing mailboxes,
- 34:14Speaker 1: letter collection boxes and at least four states New York, Oregon, Montana,
- 34:18Speaker 1: and Indiana, and even sorting machines, something the White House
- 34:22Speaker 1: Chief of Staff Mark Meadows denied, the sorting machines that
- 34:25Speaker 1: are going offline between now and the election. That's something
- 34:29Speaker 1: that my Democrat friends are trying to do to stove
- 34:32Speaker 1: fear out there well. The Postal Union leaders have also
- 34:35Speaker 1: complained about other things, like the sudden elimination of overtime,
- 34:39Speaker 1: leaving a lot of mail to be delivered the day
- 34:41Speaker 1: after it could have been arrived, and citizens are complaining
- 34:44Speaker 1: that their bills are late. Even medication has been arriving
- 34:47Speaker 1: late in the mail. Democrats claim that the Postmaster General
- 34:50Speaker 1: is deliberately undermining the Postal Service operation to sabotage the
- 34:55Speaker 1: expected mail in voting for the November election. A charge
- 34:58Speaker 1: of postmaster is denied. President Trump is openly admitted that
- 35:02Speaker 1: he feels that mail and votes will favor Democrats. The
- 35:05Speaker 1: Georgia State NAACP has declared a state of emergency because
- 35:08Speaker 1: the quote never ending acts of police violence that regularly
- 35:11Speaker 1: and consistently this is a quote put our communities in danger.
- 35:15Speaker 1: The Soul Rights Organization has called for criminal charges to
- 35:17Speaker 1: be filed against a white now fired policeman who shot
- 35:20Speaker 1: and killed an unarmed black man whom we stopped for
- 35:22Speaker 1: traffic violations. Shot him in the head. Meanwhile, the grand
- 35:25Speaker 1: jury in Mississippi hasn't died at three police officers on
- 35:28Speaker 1: second degree murder their accused of fatally injuring a man
- 35:31Speaker 1: named George Robinson and Jackson last year. Mister Robinson was black.
- 35:34Speaker 1: All three cops are also African American. The NBA has
- 35:39Speaker 1: dismissed a freelance photographer from the league's bubble in Orlando
- 35:42Speaker 1: for posting an offensive meme on his Facebook page, apparently
- 35:45Speaker 1: referring to Kamala Harris build Back to shared an image
- 35:48Speaker 1: that says a vote for Joe and the Hoe. Nobody
- 35:51Speaker 1: thought that was funny. And finally, all major baseball teams
- 35:55Speaker 1: yesterday paid tribute to the one hand of anniversary of
- 35:57Speaker 1: the Negro Leagues. The players, matches, and coaches umpires old
- 36:00Speaker 1: War commemorative patches on their uniforms. Now back to the
- 36:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening show, all right, Come on, Steve,
- 36:10Speaker 1: introduce your your your friend Jaya. Moments in my career
- 36:18Speaker 1: that I look back on with much wonder and amazement.
- 36:25Speaker 1: This is not one of those. This moment, there's a
- 36:32Speaker 1: man who really was instrumental in teaching leader art or comedy,
- 36:40Speaker 1: and after that I've watched him take it too damn
- 36:45Speaker 1: far gentlemen, the too far gone friend of mine, Jay
- 36:52Speaker 1: Anthony Brown, come back, Thank you, Steve. Now you know
- 36:56Speaker 1: from time to time I come on here and I
- 36:57Speaker 1: talk about foolishness and also just a little sad note
- 37:01Speaker 1: if you're like looking at your listing. Chucky Ducky speaks
- 37:03Speaker 1: on Thursday. He speaking back to what I have been
- 37:07Speaker 1: talking to some doctors. Me and Tommy have teamed up
- 37:10Speaker 1: again to put something together, and we've talked to some
- 37:13Speaker 1: doctors to help people who are going through a serious problem.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Is that right, timmy ahead time? Yeah, yeah, Jay's right,
- 37:19Speaker 1: so you know. But before he actually tells you what
- 37:22Speaker 1: it is, I want you guys to like listen to
- 37:25Speaker 1: the pain in these brothers voices. You need to hear that.
- 37:28Speaker 1: I couldn't sleep the nights winch. I didn't know what
- 37:32Speaker 1: was going on. I started to hear voices. I was
- 37:35Speaker 1: checking my phone every ten minutes for miss calls, and
- 37:39Speaker 1: nobody was reaching out to me. I started to think
- 37:42Speaker 1: I was being followed. Well, actually I wanted to be followed,
- 37:45Speaker 1: but there was nobody following me. Ninety one. I'm hanging
- 37:49Speaker 1: in there, they say, one day at a time. I
- 37:52Speaker 1: know I can do it. I got this. What these
- 37:55Speaker 1: guys are suffering from its SPD. In case you know
- 37:59Speaker 1: people y'all don't know exactly what that is. That is
- 38:02Speaker 1: it's side piece, the pressure pressure that's sped. Now now listen,
- 38:12Speaker 1: listen before you gotta start laughing. We've got doctors. Don't
- 38:15Speaker 1: stand back to talk to people to help you. If
- 38:19Speaker 1: you call one eight hundred, I can't take this no more,
- 38:23Speaker 1: or you can. Yeah, I miss my side piece. Are
- 38:30Speaker 1: you crying real? Well? I understand because it's said, you
- 38:34Speaker 1: heard the pain in these people's voices. I mean, how
- 38:36Speaker 1: could you got Are you insensitive? Now? The real number
- 38:40Speaker 1: to call if you really need help right away and
- 38:43Speaker 1: you can't take it numb more. You got this number down, guys,
- 38:46Speaker 1: because it's with doctors of that. The number is listen
- 38:49Speaker 1: to me, seven seven seven ninety three eleven. That's the
- 38:54Speaker 1: number called up the phone, seven seven seven seven sad.
- 39:10Speaker 1: All right, well, thank you Jay and Tommy for clearing
- 39:12Speaker 1: that up for us. Coming up in thirty four minutes
- 39:17Speaker 1: after the hour, President Trump is trying to undermine the
- 39:20Speaker 1: post Office. Wait till you hear this to increase his
- 39:23Speaker 1: re election chances. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 39:28Speaker 1: You're listening to the String Show. What is going on?
- 39:35Speaker 1: Are we? As we get ready for the kickoff of
- 39:38Speaker 1: the Democratic National Convention tonight in Milwaukee? It's going down. Meanwhile,
- 39:44Speaker 1: the President is trying to undermine the post Office to
- 39:46Speaker 1: increase his reelection chances. Is he watching the polls? What
- 39:50Speaker 1: is he doing? We all know the President wants to
- 39:53Speaker 1: block emergency funding to the US Postal Service because he
- 39:57Speaker 1: is afraid voting by mail with in his reelection. According
- 40:02Speaker 1: to CNN, US Postmaster General Lewis DeJoy has slowed down
- 40:07Speaker 1: mail delivery, removed high speed letter sorders, and issued a
- 40:11Speaker 1: warning to election officials that the mail in ballots will
- 40:15Speaker 1: no longer automatically be moved as priority mail. In addition, yeah,
- 40:22Speaker 1: in addition, the United States Postal Services started reducing post
- 40:26Speaker 1: office operating hours across the country. DeJoy called it restructuring.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Oh that's where we're calling it now, restructuring. Okayo suppression,
- 40:36Speaker 1: Yeah it does. Yeah, yeah, he's calling it restructuring. Though,
- 40:39Speaker 1: Junior Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the House Oversight
- 40:44Speaker 1: Committee will hold an emergency hearing on the mail delays
- 40:47Speaker 1: and the possible White House interference. Okay, here's effect. Though
- 40:55Speaker 1: United States Postal Service is one of the most highly
- 40:58Speaker 1: rated government institutions that they are Democrats voted approval of
- 41:08Speaker 1: the Postal Service in this country. Guess what the Republicans voted.
- 41:17Speaker 1: They approve They approve it nine. So see, why would
- 41:22Speaker 1: you defund it, Why would it need regulating? Why would
- 41:26Speaker 1: you need to do anything to something that has such
- 41:30Speaker 1: a higher rated approval. But it came directly from the
- 41:33Speaker 1: president's mouth. He said that he thought ballot voting would
- 41:40Speaker 1: not be good for his candidacy, and he's against it.
- 41:45Speaker 1: And so now and here's another thing. The majority of
- 41:49Speaker 1: the mailboxes that were removed were in democratic districts. Wow. Really,
- 41:59Speaker 1: just it's a shame. It's and and the amount of
- 42:05Speaker 1: people who are willing to ignore what he's doing sends
- 42:10Speaker 1: a clear message to me that it ain't just he
- 42:15Speaker 1: that's morally corrupt. Because if you a okay with everything
- 42:23Speaker 1: this man is doing. Seriously, man, you're just overlooking more
- 42:28Speaker 1: corruption at the highest level. And I don't I don't
- 42:31Speaker 1: see how we can allow that. But if you're a
- 42:34Speaker 1: more person, you're okay with going along with it. That's
- 42:38Speaker 1: the sad part of this. That's what makes this election
- 42:40Speaker 1: so important for those of us who are at the
- 42:44Speaker 1: hands and the whims of this policy of this administration.
- 42:48Speaker 1: I'm telling y'all, can't do four more years of this dude.
- 42:53Speaker 1: What he's gonna do with another four you won't even
- 42:55Speaker 1: believe it. Oh See, We've got to send a message
- 43:02Speaker 1: to the world that, like Joe Biden says, this is
- 43:04Speaker 1: not who we are. And if we don't get that
- 43:08Speaker 1: message over to the rest of the world, we're in
- 43:10Speaker 1: trouble with all of our relationships. The Prime Minister has
- 43:15Speaker 1: spoken out against the plump the country. The way the
- 43:18Speaker 1: police brutality is the way the president is handling this
- 43:21Speaker 1: election Canada. Everybody's looking at this going what are they
- 43:26Speaker 1: doing up there? This was supposed to be the model democracy.
- 43:30Speaker 1: It's not. It's turning into a dictatorship. This man is
- 43:35Speaker 1: taking the presidency and running it like he king. I
- 43:41Speaker 1: don't I don't need a king. I have a king.
- 43:45Speaker 1: He's my lord as Savian, he's my king, my own't
- 43:50Speaker 1: give nobody else king. You don't get to be that dude. Now,
- 43:58Speaker 1: all right, until we go to the polls, and hopefully
- 44:02Speaker 1: we'll go before that, Okay, go to vote for one
- 44:06Speaker 1: one dot org to register to vote, okay, and to
- 44:09Speaker 1: find out about early voting. Wow, we gotta do this, man. Yeah,
- 44:14Speaker 1: we really have to sut down the poles the post office.
- 44:18Speaker 1: All right. Yeah, coming up next, the nephew is here
- 44:22Speaker 1: with the prank phone call. Right after this you're listening
- 44:28Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour, right
- 44:31Speaker 1: about four minutes after. It's my Strawberry letter for today, subject.
- 44:35Speaker 1: I taught this young man everything he knows. Okay, right now.
- 44:42Speaker 1: The nephew is in the building with today's prank phone
- 44:45Speaker 1: call what you got for us? Next? I got my
- 44:49Speaker 1: favorite socks. That's the title, My favorite socks. That's right.
- 44:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach the job. Yeah, jo Okay, do
- 44:59Speaker 1: you live an apartment? Who is it? My name Benny Man,
- 45:02Speaker 1: I live in. Let me say this to you. Man,
- 45:05Speaker 1: this like the third time this that happened, you know,
- 45:07Speaker 1: and I ain't got fed up with it. So I've
- 45:09Speaker 1: been a city, We've been a getting straight up. Man.
- 45:11Speaker 1: Wait wait, wait, who who are you again? My name
- 45:14Speaker 1: Benny Man, I live in. Let's listen. Do you use
- 45:17Speaker 1: the washroom on the property? Yeah? Man, I used washroom?
- 45:20Speaker 1: What's up? Okay? This is the third time this to happened.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Last night was the third time right now. The first
- 45:26Speaker 1: time I happen to be in the washroom with you

- 45:46Speaker 1: I come back to get my l I don't know
- 45:48Speaker 1: what you're doing, man, when you're in this washroom, if
- 45:50Speaker 1: you decide you're just gonna go shopping in the dry

- 46:51Speaker 1: your door about ten minutes if it's okay with you
- 46:53Speaker 1: potting up? Hey, man, it's whatever. All I know is
- 46:55Speaker 1: you better bring them damn socks when you bring your
- 47:00Speaker 1: favorite dock focks. You got my favorite socks and you

- 47:41Speaker 1: First of all, why don't use your hand on down
- 47:43Speaker 1: to the washroom. It's like a whoop your now. I'll
- 47:45Speaker 1: meet you in the washroom right now. But you're better
- 47:47Speaker 1: bring my sucks with you. You hear me, I'm bringing you.
- 47:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna put you inside that damn dry and turn
- 47:53Speaker 1: it out tis you're stealing stuff out of it. Let
- 47:57Speaker 1: me tell you one thing, Harry, put your get down
- 47:59Speaker 1: to the wash room. Now, I'm tired of my shoe,

- 48:08Speaker 1: we already know you. Once you get busted in the head,
- 48:10Speaker 1: you don't know what's going on. I wish you ain't
- 48:13Speaker 1: a man enough, but I'm gonna you can't. I'll tell
- 48:17Speaker 1: you what I long it's gonna take you to get
- 48:19Speaker 1: your That's gonna take me about two minutes. Guess what

- 48:59Speaker 1: Ain't no man on this phone crying over. Oh that
- 49:04Speaker 1: songs man, some sick man, some sick well, you know
- 49:07Speaker 1: y'all tripping. Hey man, I got one more question, baby,
- 49:12Speaker 1: what is what is the baddest radio show in the land? Man?
- 49:16Speaker 1: That's easy to Steve Harvey, Martin Charles. I got you, man,
- 49:25Speaker 1: and now you have it. Yeah, where are you? Where
- 49:30Speaker 1: are you in the living room? Jay? I normally after
- 49:39Speaker 1: the prank, I let you know what the wall I'm
- 49:41Speaker 1: gonna be. I ain't gonna be nowhere. I ain't changed
- 49:45Speaker 1: to catch me in my back yard. Yeah, I know,
- 49:52Speaker 1: look at look at look at the back yard, look
- 49:54Speaker 1: at the front yard and getting your clid ride. Don't
- 50:00Speaker 1: know what the excitement is Friday Friday they come cut
- 50:03Speaker 1: the yard. Ain't nothing like smelling fresh cut grad like
- 50:05Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, it's a game changing. Huh. My gardener,
- 50:18Speaker 1: My gardener gets around more than me. Man, He gets
- 50:21Speaker 1: to go different places. I don't go nowhere. At least
- 50:23Speaker 1: you go to different houses. I don't go No, damn man. Well, yeah,
- 50:29Speaker 1: I mean it's our lifestyle right now. We got to
- 50:32Speaker 1: deal with it. Yes, Temmy, did you pick this? Get
- 50:36Speaker 1: dressed up? Are you getting dressed up? Uh? You know.
- 50:39Speaker 1: The most dressed up I get is to put this
- 50:42Speaker 1: You see this red satin coat that I have on
- 50:46Speaker 1: sometimes cool in here? You mean that nobody else could see? Right,
- 50:52Speaker 1: that's the most dressed And I put on lipstick. I
- 50:54Speaker 1: miss lipstick. I put lipstick on when we come to work.
- 50:58Speaker 1: That's it because we don't have to mask. Yeah, yeah,
- 51:02Speaker 1: that's it. One time I put some lipstick on and
- 51:05Speaker 1: I forgot I put my mask on. When I took
- 51:08Speaker 1: it off, my lipstick was smear. Yes girl, yes, girl. Yeah,
- 51:17Speaker 1: you just forget, you know, you just forget some things. Yeah,
- 51:20Speaker 1: habits Ye. I rolled by this some outdoor playground yesterday.
- 51:25Speaker 1: There were grown men and young men playing basketball, no masks,
- 51:30Speaker 1: close up to each other, just out there playing a
- 51:32Speaker 1: game of basketball. Say something to people I know. Well,
- 51:37Speaker 1: but in the league, though, they got testing, they got
- 51:40Speaker 1: everybody right. So people are watching them play basketball, but
- 51:45Speaker 1: they're not understanding what they've done. In the NBA is
- 51:47Speaker 1: a little bit it in the bubble. Everybody's tested. Blah
- 51:51Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah. I mean that's play. Yeah, we're
- 51:56Speaker 1: just out and another bubble. What about the bubble to
- 52:01Speaker 1: the stupid people, the stupid people out there. It's not
- 52:04Speaker 1: a real bubble. Okay, I'm handing an argument with a
- 52:10Speaker 1: food with a fool. They didn't land in. What they
- 52:15Speaker 1: built was a real No, it's not a real Look,
- 52:19Speaker 1: dumb ass, there's no bubble. Okay, they're not inside the
- 52:24Speaker 1: real bubble. But it made think of them because it
- 52:28Speaker 1: gives me word. No, there's no bubble. It got on
- 52:33Speaker 1: your nerves, Jane. I mean, you have an argue with
- 52:37Speaker 1: a food. It made a complete bubble over all, didn't
- 52:40Speaker 1: land and I don't know how to made it. But
- 52:44Speaker 1: once you find out, though that they're not wrapped too tightly,
- 52:47Speaker 1: you leave usually right. You don't keep arguing talking, you
- 52:51Speaker 1: don't keep arguing with them. You're out of there at
- 52:55Speaker 1: some point. It's not a real bubble, okay, looking for
- 53:00Speaker 1: it though. They say that bubble NBA bubble and Tyler
- 53:03Speaker 1: Perry bubble is the bubble. Baby. That's yes, and apparently
- 53:07Speaker 1: family feud as well. They're doing the Tyler Perry lot. Okay,
- 53:15Speaker 1: Tyler got half met SUPs walk around and right over
- 53:19Speaker 1: here got a real bubble. That's a real bubble. That's
- 53:25Speaker 1: a real bubble. All right, nephew, thank you for the
- 53:28Speaker 1: prank phone call. Coming up next, it's the Strawberry letter.

- 53:50Speaker 1: submit your Strawberry Letter to Steve HARVEYFM dot com and
- 53:54Speaker 1: click submit Strawberry Letter. We could be reading your letter
- 53:57Speaker 1: live on the air, just like we're gonna read this
- 54:00Speaker 1: one right here, right now for you. Ja. That's for
- 54:02Speaker 1: you fuck up a hole on tight. We got it
- 54:05Speaker 1: for you here. It is the Strawberry LETTA thank you
- 54:08Speaker 1: nephew's subject, I taught this young man everything he knows.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I have a confession to make, and
- 54:16Speaker 1: I know I can count on Steve to give it
- 54:18Speaker 1: to me straight. I am a divorced female and I
- 54:21Speaker 1: work as a corporate trainer. I'm forty nine years old
- 54:25Speaker 1: and I have one daughter and a granddaughter. Last fall,
- 54:29Speaker 1: I was called to train staff at an insurance agency.
- 54:33Speaker 1: One of the male trainees got my attention and asked
- 54:36Speaker 1: me for a business card. Before I left, he left
- 54:39Speaker 1: a message on my office phone and invited me to
- 54:42Speaker 1: dinner the next night. I knew he was a bit
- 54:45Speaker 1: younger than I am, but I was flattered and went
- 54:48Speaker 1: on a date with him. We have so much in
- 54:51Speaker 1: common it's hard to believe he's only twenty five. After
- 54:55Speaker 1: that date, we've been inseparable, and I've had a hard
- 54:59Speaker 1: time hiding him from my daughter and my family. I've
- 55:02Speaker 1: taken him on several business trips with me, and he
- 55:05Speaker 1: looks great in all of the suits and nice shoes
- 55:08Speaker 1: I've bought him. I've taught him etiquette and how to
- 55:11Speaker 1: appreciate the finer things. We took a cooking class, and
- 55:15Speaker 1: he knows how to hand roll sushi for me. I
- 55:18Speaker 1: showed him the art of making love to a real woman,
- 55:21Speaker 1: and he mastered it. He's basically the perfect man for me,
- 55:26Speaker 1: but the age difference will be a problem in the
- 55:29Speaker 1: long run. I know my family and friends will judge
- 55:32Speaker 1: me because he's two years younger than my daughter. He
- 55:35Speaker 1: wants to get married so we can live together, and
- 55:37Speaker 1: he wants me to meet his mother and grandmother. You
- 55:41Speaker 1: know this isn't going to go over well with them.
- 55:44Speaker 1: Men have always met and married younger women, but it's
- 55:47Speaker 1: not as accepted when women do it. I would hope
- 55:50Speaker 1: that I'm everything this man needs and he won't want
- 55:53Speaker 1: a younger woman someday. Can this work? Or have I
- 55:56Speaker 1: wasted all of my training on the wrong man? Um? Okay,
- 56:02Speaker 1: so do you have a training thing going on here? Uh?
- 56:06Speaker 1: Sounds like sounds like you're a sugar mama because you're
- 56:11Speaker 1: buying him so much stuff. Okay, you know that you
- 56:16Speaker 1: have a lot to be concerned about in this relationship.
- 56:19Speaker 1: You're a mother and a granddaughter and this guy is
- 56:22Speaker 1: just two years younger than your daughter. I mean, we
- 56:25Speaker 1: talk about this a lot on the show The double Standard.
- 56:28Speaker 1: There are things that women can do that men can't
- 56:31Speaker 1: or don't or won't do, and there are things that
- 56:34Speaker 1: men can do that women can't or don't do. H
- 56:38Speaker 1: You said it in a letter. Men have always met
- 56:40Speaker 1: and married younger, but it's not as accepted when women
- 56:44Speaker 1: do it, And mainly that's because women have a biological
- 56:48Speaker 1: clock inside of them where we have to do things
- 56:51Speaker 1: like have children at a certain age. And the facts
- 56:55Speaker 1: are that you are twice this young man's age, which
- 56:58Speaker 1: which means you have way more life experience than him.
- 57:01Speaker 1: You came in as the trainer. He's the trainee, which
- 57:06Speaker 1: means you have way more experienced than him. You're you're
- 57:09Speaker 1: buying him suits as I mentioned in shoes and stuff.
- 57:12Speaker 1: You also have to think that you know he might
- 57:16Speaker 1: want kids of his own, and that's where you have
- 57:18Speaker 1: to think about your biological clock and the time you
- 57:21Speaker 1: know he might want kids at some point as far
- 57:24Speaker 1: as the love goes. Of course, we all know the
- 57:25Speaker 1: heart wants what it wants. It doesn't care about age,
- 57:29Speaker 1: or race, or religion or anything like that. But you,
- 57:32Speaker 1: as the older, more experienced person, you have to let
- 57:35Speaker 1: your your thinking get involved. Here your head. You have
- 57:40Speaker 1: to think about these things. If he wants kids in
- 57:42Speaker 1: the future and what the future might hold. Yeah, he
- 57:46Speaker 1: will probably look at younger women. You guys, you're twice
- 57:49Speaker 1: his age, Okay. I don't know if you'll be able
- 57:53Speaker 1: to live with that or not as you get older.
- 57:56Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure you're beautiful right now. I'm sure
- 57:59Speaker 1: you are, but you know, you got to think about that,
- 58:02Speaker 1: that twenty five year old age difference. I don't think
- 58:05Speaker 1: that's going to work, you know, and if you can
- 58:10Speaker 1: live with all of that stuff, then go for it.
- 58:12Speaker 1: I don't think you should. I wouldn't do it. This
- 58:15Speaker 1: has nothing to do with your your what's your family
- 58:18Speaker 1: or your friends say or anything like that. It's not
- 58:20Speaker 1: their business. This is a decision that you have to make,
- 58:23Speaker 1: and I think, as the adult in this situation, you
- 58:28Speaker 1: know I don't I wouldn't do it. I'll put it
- 58:30Speaker 1: like that, Steve, you already know, you already know. So
- 58:36Speaker 1: you want Steve to give it to you straight because
- 58:38Speaker 1: you know they're gonna give it to you straight. Sharley
- 58:39Speaker 1: gave it to you. Shirley gave it two mud. Since
- 58:43Speaker 1: you want to hear from Steve, here we go. I'm
- 58:46Speaker 1: gonna point out some things Shirley pointed out, and point
- 58:48Speaker 1: out some stuff Sharley didn't point out. You're a corporate trainer,
- 58:52Speaker 1: you're forty nine years old, you have one daughter and
- 58:55Speaker 1: a granddaughter forty nine. Let's just round it off, say
- 58:59Speaker 1: you fifty women don't like to round it off up,
- 59:03Speaker 1: so let me just go and get to it. Because
- 59:05Speaker 1: you boss to be fifty any damn way might have
- 59:08Speaker 1: had a birthday by the time we read, just let
- 59:10Speaker 1: on the air anyway, So let's just say you're fifty. Wow,
- 59:15Speaker 1: Now let's go. You got a daughter that's twenty seven,
- 59:21Speaker 1: and you got a granddaughter. You train people. That's your
- 59:26Speaker 1: calling in life, You train people. So you go to
- 59:32Speaker 1: this agency you're training some people. Do got your attention?
- 59:35Speaker 1: Ask for a card? Left the message invited you to
- 59:39Speaker 1: dinner next night. You know, I knew he was a
- 59:41Speaker 1: bit younger than I am, but I was flattered because
- 59:44Speaker 1: you're bored, you're divorced. You've been singing forore while you're bored.
- 59:49Speaker 1: You figure, hey, you've been on this session. Let me
- 59:51Speaker 1: going out to dinner with him. We have so much
- 59:54Speaker 1: in common? What the hell you got in common with
- 59:58Speaker 1: a boy that's twenty the young man who's twenty five
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: years younger than you. What y'all both like to eat?
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: You don't play video games, You ain't into sport. He
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: liked black dresses. You had on the black dress. That
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: ain't nothing in common? Hang on, Steve, Hang on, all right,
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: We'll be back with part two of Steve's Steve's response
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes after the our title
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: of today letter I taught this young man everything he knows.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: morning show, All right, Steve, come on, let's recap today's
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: strawberry letter. I taught this young man everything he knows. Well,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: you will teach your trainer. You're forty nine years old.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: You go out on this insurance thing to train a
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: group of people. Young dude catches out. I asked you
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: for a business card, invite you to dinner. You flattered
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: because he said young age. You go out with him.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: He's much younger than you. But you sit there and
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: all of a sudden, y'all got everything ain't in common?
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: No you don't, No, you don't, And I'll prove it
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: to you in the letter. Lady, you have so much
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: in coming. Y'all don't like the same music, and y'all
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: don't go to the same places. Y'all ain't had the
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: same life. In child, y'all ain't had the same life experiences.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: You can make children, he can't. You got kids, he don't.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: He played video games, You don't he got a family.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: He ain't got no family. You do what y'all got
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: in common? I showed would like to know what it
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: is y'all got in common? Or what did you sit
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: there and fabricate in your mind that made it so good? Well,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: let me tell you what. What After that date, We've
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: been inseparable so much for in common. I've had a
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: hard time hiding him from my daughter and my family.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Listen to me. I've taken him on several business trips
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: with me, and he looks great in all of the
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: suits and nice shoes I bought him. You know why,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: because he was wearing snickers and T shirts. You had
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: to buy him them shoes and them suits because you
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: couldn't take his T shirt wearing ass no where with you.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I thought y'all had a lot in comment. He don't
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: know how to dress. You taught him to Yoletta. I
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: talked to this young man everything he knows. He knows nothing.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: You taught him everything. He didn't know nothing. You taught
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: him everything, and you got a lot in comment. What
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: he didn't know how to hand roll sushi when you
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: met him. Now you got him head rolling sushi. Let
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: me tell you something. I went in a sushi restaurant
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: in Atlanta one night. And this is years ago, years ago.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Kings of Comedy years and it was two black guys
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: behind the counter at the sushi place. I turned around,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: walking right out. The two black dude say, Steve, come
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: on here, man, the sushi good? I said, y'all know
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: good in hair. Well, y'all don't know nothing about cutting
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: No damn sushi. That is not our job. Fish. I
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: sit down. But you're slicing raw fish. Boy. Stop Now,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: you didn't got him to hand roll sushi for you.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: I showed him to order making love to a real woman,
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: and he mastered it. He okay, you can say he
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: mastered it, right. He didn't get better at him. You
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: can't get worse at sex. You can't get better at it.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: So he's teachable. He's basically the perfect man for me,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: except you can't take him around your daughter, your family,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: or your friends. But the age difference will be a
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: problem in the long run. No, it's a problem now.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: So why are you talking about this problem in the
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: long run? You can't take him nowhere. He don't know nothing.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: You didn't taught him everything. It's a problem now. I
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: know my family and friends gonna judge me because he's
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: two years younger than my daughter. It's a problem now,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: Not In the long run, this problem ain't gonna get better.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: You gonna get older, and the gap is gonna be
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: more obvious. He wants me to meet his mother and grandmother.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. They're gonna eat your ass
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: a lot. You're going there with this boy's mama and grandmama.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: He don't he's so stupid. You didn't teach them what
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: was gonna happen when he walked your old ass in
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: now with his mama and grandmama. Did you who's gonna
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: be worse though, Steve? The mama, the grandmother, the grandmama
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: gonna come also, you one of my friends. Nothing. I
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: saw you down at the hall. Didn't you look like
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: the girler work at the tavern I go to see.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: It's gonna get bad for you. They're gonna eat you.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: They're gonna eat you a lie. You you walk your
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: old ass in there with this daughter that's two years
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: older than this boy. They already know what you did.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: They already know you that you didn't whipped him, because
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: see this boy, he's whipped, and they know you didn't
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: put it on him like he never had it before.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: And now you he want to marry you has he
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: lost his rabbit ass mind? Yeah, you're whipped him this
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: bad that he wants to marry you, and you're gonna
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: go in there and face his mother and grow. I
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: hope you do well you feel to find I don't
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: give a damn. You know this ain't gonna go overwhelm them. Okay,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: So you once again see when you said in this letter,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: this is gonna be a problem in the long run.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: I keep telling you it's a problem. Now. You're hiding
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: him from your friends. You got him here from your daughter.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: He's two years younger than your daughter. You got a granddaughter.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: You take him everywhere, and you didn't taught him everything
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: because it's ass stupid. He ain't knew nothing. You know
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: me and have always met and married younger women, but
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: it's not as accepted with women, do it. I would
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: hope that I'm everything this man needs and he won't
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: want a young woman someday? What his mom? Who? Who
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: the hell? Don't want a younger woman? So what? What?
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: You all this stuff you don't taught him to master?
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: You don't think he won't want to show this to nobody?
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: There you go, all right, thank you, Steve, We'll leave

- 1:08:03Speaker 1: be big, big as he is. He he just seven
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: feet he he gonna be out there shooting him three.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: He just out here wasting his seven foot ass. Take

- 1:10:04Speaker 1: coming up at the tip of the hour, Guys, tell
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: me something some good news. Right after this you're listening
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: to show. Tell me something good news, some good Steve
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show News. We've always loved country music icon
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Dolly Parton, and we love her even more now after
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: she recently voiced her support of black Lives Matter during
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: an interview with Billboard Magazine. Take a listen. I think
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: that everybody needs to express themselves however they feel they
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: have to. Like I said, I'm not out here to
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: tell you what to do. I don't want you to
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: tell me what to do. But I just do what
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: my heart tells me to do. I ask God to
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: direct me and lead me. And if I've got his direction,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I don't have to worry too much about any anything else.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: But I do understand people having to make themselves known
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: and felt and seen. And of course black lives matter.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Do we think our little white as she is the
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: only ones that matter? No, everybody matters. Yeah. You know
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: what was in Arkansas? There was a white or woman
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: or man holding up the sign saying black lives matter.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: And they feel the reaction to these people in Arkansas
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: the number of people that were riding by yelling out
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: insults at this white person. You're white too, we're white people,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: White people matter too. Listen. Then I just say this
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: to the white people that don't understand this. Black lives
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: matter does not say white lives don't matter. What black
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: lives matter all is saying is can our lives matter
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: the same as everyone else's, especially yours. That's Can our
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: life get the same value, mean the same thing as
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: your life? This is justice and equality is not like path.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: It's not like if you give us a bigger slice,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: that lead less for you. No, can our life matter
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: the same as your life? Not more? Just the same.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Black lives matter too. Dolly Pardon just said it best. Yes,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: from our little white ass. Can't be the only life
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: that matter. I'm just quoting Dolly Parker. I don't have
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: a little white ass. Thank you, Dolly Pardon. We appreciate it. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: all right, here's some more good news. Over the past years,
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: civil rights attorney Benjamin Crump has made a name for
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: himself as one of the nation's lawyers who leads the
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: charge for social justice. Here's some good news. Kenya Barris,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: creator of Blackish, Black af is going to produce a
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: documentary on the life and career of civil rights attorney
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: Benjamin Crump. The documentary isn't nice. Yeah, the documentary will
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: pull back the curtain and Crump's work on various cases.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: He's always on the front lines working and the toll
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: it takes on his family. So we have to say
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: congratulations to our friend and family member. Attorney Benjamin Queas Justice. Yeah,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: that's good news. Yeah, that really is good news. Would
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: you say Steve? I said them cuses everywhere show. I'm
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: proud of him. Man. We ain't just showing up everywhere. Yeah,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: doing some things. Yeah. I was surprised that Keny Baris
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: is doing it because he's usually associated as far as
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: I know, with comedies, so you know, like Blackish, Black Ash. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: I like that that he's branching off and like cranching out. Yeah.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: I love Would you like somebody to do a life
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: story on you? On me? I'm talking to the whole
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: Oh okay, well yeah why not? Um? What about you?
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: I think who would play? We? Who? Yeah? Would you?
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: I'm not play damn story. That's the hard part with me.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: You're gonna leave out some stuff, leave so much stuff out.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: You ain't gonna be get all this hippot What about
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: Steve's life though, Yeah, you can't tell all of that.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: You can't tell everything. Yeah. Yeah, I had to wait
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: to my career. If you just want the truth about Jack,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: we'll play a young Jane shell Underwood. Coming up, we'll
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: have more of today's trending stories on the Steve Harvey
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Morning at twenty minutes after the hour. Crazy, you're listening
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, here's some celebrity birthday

- 1:22:53Speaker 1: that I went to high school with. I see them
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: on Facebook and social media. Not completely different from what
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: I thought. I mean, they are super Trump supporters and everything. Man,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I just I didn't know that growing up. I didn't
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: see that. You well, we didn't have Trump. You went
