Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / DEMOCRATS BECOME RELIGIOUS BIGOTS TOWARDS JUDGE BARRETT ON DAY 2!
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's just call it what it is, religion shaming. That
- 0:04Speaker 1: is exactly what we've been witnessing by Democrats who are
- 0:08Speaker 1: supposed to be asking questions of Judge Amy Coney Barrett.
- 0:13Speaker 1: What they have done. They have decided to give her
- 0:16Speaker 1: questions and shame her on her religion because she believes
- 0:22Speaker 1: in someone more than herself, a higher being. We're talking
- 0:25Speaker 1: about believing in God, we're talking about being a Catholic.
- 0:29Speaker 1: They have been attacking her throughout day two of the
- 0:33Speaker 1: Confirmation hearing for being Catholic, saying that she cannot be trusted,
- 0:37Speaker 1: that she's crazy, that she clearly is a radical fanatic,
- 0:42Speaker 1: that she believes too much in faith and religion, the
- 0:45Speaker 1: same faith in religion that Joe Biden, by the way,
- 0:48Speaker 1: also says he believes in. And I want you to
- 0:50Speaker 1: remember the next time you hear somebody pull the sexism card.
- 0:54Speaker 1: You remember when they were saying that the other night.
- 0:57Speaker 1: The Vice President was quote man splaining to Kamala Harris,
- 1:02Speaker 1: and you know, I'm speaking her famous famous line, right,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I'm speaking. I'm speaking, I'm speaking, Okay, I'm speaking. And
- 1:10Speaker 1: they talked about, well, he was just man splaining things
- 1:14Speaker 1: to her and he was talking down to a woman. Well,
- 1:17Speaker 1: uh yeah. If you want to know what real man
- 1:19Speaker 1: splainning looks like, look no further than what we've been
- 1:22Speaker 1: witnessing Day two, the Confirmation hearings, religion splaining. Let's talk
- 1:28Speaker 1: about bigotry. You want to talk about bigotry. The Democrats
- 1:31Speaker 1: are very clearly bigoted towards anyone that has faith, Catholic faith,
- 1:35Speaker 1: Christian faith. They don't care, they don't like you, they
- 1:37Speaker 1: don't trust it, they think you're crazy. Sexism. You want
- 1:42Speaker 1: to talk about sexism today, we've seen sexism today. You know,
- 1:46Speaker 1: religion splaining and man explaining to Judge Amy Coney Barrett
- 1:50Speaker 1: about how she's stupid, how she's incompetent, how she doesn't
- 1:53Speaker 1: know what she's talking about, how she's crazy, how her
- 1:56Speaker 1: religion is crazy, how her being a mother is crazy.
- 2:01Speaker 1: How how the fact that she doesn't think that people
- 2:05Speaker 1: should be able to have an abortion. They're putting words
- 2:07Speaker 1: their mouths. Of course, if you have, if you're raped
- 2:12Speaker 1: because of her church. This is religion, nothing but bigotry
- 2:17Speaker 1: and hatred towards her religion because she is a woman
- 2:20Speaker 1: of faith. Remember this come election day, folks, Remember every
- 2:25Speaker 1: single moment of this come election day, remember all of it,
- 2:28Speaker 1: come election day, because this is what we are witnessing,
- 2:31Speaker 1: This is what we are up against. This is what
- 2:33Speaker 1: the left has become. They despise religion, They despise people
- 2:37Speaker 1: that believe in religion, and they despise people that believe
- 2:40Speaker 1: that there is a god. Don't ever lecture me again
- 2:45Speaker 1: from the left, you feminists out there about what I'm
- 2:48Speaker 1: supposed to be telling you know how I'm supposed to
- 2:50Speaker 1: talk to you after witnessing the way that you have
- 2:54Speaker 1: attacked Judge Barrett. Don't don't ever tell me that you
- 3:00Speaker 1: believe that women's voices should be heard because you do
- 3:04Speaker 1: not want the voice of Judge Barrett to be heard.
- 3:08Speaker 1: When next time that the left says women's voices should
- 3:11Speaker 1: be heard and respected, then stop interrupting Judge Barrett and
- 3:15Speaker 1: let her explain what she believes in without trying to
- 3:18Speaker 1: put words in her mouth, without lying about what she
- 3:20Speaker 1: says and what she doesn't say. Well, let's stop lying
- 3:22Speaker 1: about what she believes and what she doesn't believe in.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I'm sorry, folks, but you want to look at you,
- 3:30Speaker 1: You want to you want to know what evil genuinely
- 3:32Speaker 1: looks like. You look at day two of these Confirmation
- 3:35Speaker 1: hearings and you'll see evil. You want to see what
- 3:39Speaker 1: pure hatred and disdain for religion looks like. You can
- 3:42Speaker 1: see it in day two. You want to, You want to.
- 3:45Speaker 1: You want to look what man's planning looks like. Day two.
- 3:49Speaker 1: It's gout it, folks, it's all in there. You want
- 3:51Speaker 1: to look what condescending remarks look like, and hatred for
- 3:55Speaker 1: people of faith look like. Day two had it all.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Let's talk at the facts of Judge Barrett. Many times
- 4:02Speaker 1: they didn't even ask questions of Judge Barrett. What they
- 4:04Speaker 1: did is they chastise her. Multiple Democratic centers so far
- 4:08Speaker 1: today have done nothing but chastise Judge Barrett and chastise
- 4:13Speaker 1: her because of her beliefs without allowing her to even
- 4:15Speaker 1: answer a question or even ask her a question. Because
- 4:18Speaker 1: it's about slandering a woman in power. So again, the
- 4:21Speaker 1: next time the left tells me that they care about
- 4:23Speaker 1: women's rights, and they care about women's right to speak,
- 4:26Speaker 1: and they care about equality and equal pay and all
- 4:29Speaker 1: this crap. Screw you, No, you don't, because if you did,
- 4:33Speaker 1: you'd actually ask a question of Judge Barrett. You wouldn't
- 4:36Speaker 1: preach to her from your godless pulpit because she believes
- 4:40Speaker 1: in a god. Judge Barrett has not and will not
- 4:47Speaker 1: make any pre commitments to the left which have been
- 4:51Speaker 1: demanding these commitments. Today, she said, quote, to have an
- 4:54Speaker 1: agenda to stick to the rule of law and decide
- 4:56Speaker 1: cases as they come, Judge Barrett, Today, over and over again,
- 5:01Speaker 1: the left was trying to force her into submission about
- 5:05Speaker 1: how she would rule on the Affordable Care Act, how
- 5:08Speaker 1: she would rule on abortion, how she would rule on
- 5:11Speaker 1: Roe v. Way. The list goes on and on and on,
- 5:14Speaker 1: and you know what she said. She said, quote, I
- 5:18Speaker 1: cannot pre commit or say yes, I'm going in with
- 5:23Speaker 1: some agenda, because I'm not. I don't have any agenda.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I have no agenda to try and overrule casey. I
- 5:29Speaker 1: have an agenda to stick to the rule of law
- 5:31Speaker 1: and to side cases as they come. Again, the way
- 5:34Speaker 1: the left do today, they try to destroy her and
- 5:37Speaker 1: slander her and force her into giving pre commitments on
- 5:40Speaker 1: the law, which is not the job of women or
- 5:45Speaker 1: men on the Supreme Court. By the way, Republicans never
- 5:49Speaker 1: treated side of My or Alanna Kagan this way. They
- 5:54Speaker 1: never tried to force them into precommitments on how they
- 5:59Speaker 1: would rule on certain cases. They never slandered them about
- 6:02Speaker 1: their lifestyles, they never attacked them about their religions. They
- 6:05Speaker 1: never interrupted them to basically not allow the person to speak.
- 6:10Speaker 1: They never gave four and five and six minute statements
- 6:13Speaker 1: without ever asking a question. You want to why because
- 6:15Speaker 1: there was some decorum. But now with this new radical
- 6:19Speaker 1: socialist left, they only respect you if you bow down
- 6:25Speaker 1: to what they tell you you can or cannot believe in,
- 6:28Speaker 1: or you can or cannot say. Judge Barrett today said, quote,
- 6:32Speaker 1: the answer is no. And I submit a questionnaire to
- 6:35Speaker 1: this committee in which I said no, No one ever
- 6:39Speaker 1: talked about any case with me referring to the Trump administration,
- 6:44Speaker 1: no one on the executive branch side of it. And
- 6:48Speaker 1: that's one reason. One reason you asked that question, I
- 6:50Speaker 1: think as a committee is that you don't you want
- 6:55Speaker 1: to know that no nominee has made any pre commitments.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And so just as I didn't make any pre commitments
- 7:03Speaker 1: and was not asked to make any commitments on the
- 7:06Speaker 1: executive branch side, I can't make any pre commitments to
- 7:09Speaker 1: this body either. It would be inconsistent with judicial independence.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Liberals didn't like that today because that's not what they
- 7:17Speaker 1: wanted to hear. They wanted to They wanted to force
- 7:21Speaker 1: a woman into submission, a woman they do not respect,
- 7:25Speaker 1: a woman that they are absolutely sexist towards a woman
- 7:28Speaker 1: the Left wants destroyed. Because she understands the rule of law,
- 7:32Speaker 1: a woman then understands what her job is. She was
- 7:43Speaker 1: also forced today to talk about George Floyd, which, by
- 7:46Speaker 1: the way, I don't understand how George Floyd has anything
- 7:49Speaker 1: to do with the Supreme Court nomination. It does, however,
- 7:51Speaker 1: have to do with the Democrats pushing their campaign agent
- 7:54Speaker 1: on the American people. They went there today Black Lives
- 7:59Speaker 1: Matter at her ANTIFA because this is all about the cameras, folks.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Judge Barrett was accused today of being someone that would
- 8:12Speaker 1: legislate from the bench on Obamacare on the ACA. Guess what,
- 8:18Speaker 1: Judge Barrett's made it clear over and over again today
- 8:22Speaker 1: with all these misogynistic men, these sexist men on the
- 8:26Speaker 1: Democratic Party that have been manx planning to her and
- 8:30Speaker 1: talking down to her, that she will decide cases based
- 8:33Speaker 1: on what the law requires, not a desire to reach
- 8:37Speaker 1: a particular policy outcome, which is what the left also
- 8:41Speaker 1: cannot stand because they want her to make policy agreements
- 8:46Speaker 1: if they're gonna put her on the court, and she says,
- 8:48Speaker 1: that is not the job of the Senate. The job
- 8:54Speaker 1: is to look at me, and the job is to
- 8:56Speaker 1: make sure that I do not give any pre commitments
- 9:02Speaker 1: that I keep and I am consistent with judicial independence,
- 9:05Speaker 1: which is exactly what Ruth Bader Ginsburg also agreed that
- 9:09Speaker 1: we needed to have on the court. Democrats still not
- 9:16Speaker 1: letting up trying to force Barrett to take a policy
- 9:18Speaker 1: position on Obamacare over and over again. Today, Barrett established
- 9:25Speaker 1: that when deciding cases, she will follow what the law requires,
- 9:29Speaker 1: that she will not legislate from the bench. But remember it.
- 9:34Speaker 1: They want to pack the court. They want activist judges.
- 9:36Speaker 1: They want to be like Venezuela, where they got what
- 9:38Speaker 1: forty something people on the Supreme Court in Venezuela. Hey,
- 9:44Speaker 1: we don't like the numbers, we don't like the majority
- 9:46Speaker 1: on the court. No problem, here's what we'll do. We'll
- 9:47Speaker 1: just pack the court. Barrett said today, I totally reject,
- 9:51Speaker 1: and have rejected throughout my entire career, the proposition that,
- 9:54Speaker 1: as you say, the end justifies the means, or that
- 9:57Speaker 1: a judge should decide cases based on a desire to
- 9:59Speaker 1: reach a certain outcome. They still continue to be sexists
- 10:03Speaker 1: and misogynistic and talked down to her. Judge Barrett said
- 10:07Speaker 1: again when she was being ridiculed by another man splaining
- 10:11Speaker 1: sexist of the Democratic Party, quote, it is never appropriate
- 10:16Speaker 1: for a judge to impose that judge's personal convictions, whether
- 10:20Speaker 1: they derive from faith or anything else, on the law.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Yet again, the man splaining sexists and those that are bigots,
- 10:28Speaker 1: religious bigots that the Democratic Party continued after her, where
- 10:32Speaker 1: she then responded again saying, quote, I continue to stand
- 10:35Speaker 1: and vehemently believe the core proposition that if there is
- 10:40Speaker 1: ever a conflict between a judge's personal conviction and that
- 10:46Speaker 1: judge's duty under the rule of law, it is never
- 10:48Speaker 1: ever permissible for that judge to follow their personal convictions
- 10:53Speaker 1: in the decision of a case rather than what the
- 10:56Speaker 1: law requires. Nevertheless, the religious big gets to the left
- 11:00Speaker 1: continued to go after her time and time again, and
- 11:04Speaker 1: they are still doing it right now. She was grilled
- 11:08Speaker 1: on the Affordable Care Act, she was grilled on abortion,
- 11:11Speaker 1: she was grilled on guns, she was grilled on Trump.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I have not discussed how I would rule on any
- 11:16Speaker 1: case with President Trump today. And they really hated it
- 11:19Speaker 1: when she said that, and then they went after again
- 11:22Speaker 1: because why she's a religious woman and we hate people
- 11:24Speaker 1: of religion in the Democratic Party. I'm gonna play highlights
- 11:30Speaker 1: of Amy Coney Barrett and one of her back and
- 11:34Speaker 1: force was Senator Amy Klobuchar, Democrat. She's a religious bigot
- 11:39Speaker 1: who attacked Judge Barrett and sparred with her over Rov Wade.
- 11:44Speaker 1: She got schooled by Judge Barrett, and I'm glad she did.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna have that for you in just a moment.
- 11:52Speaker 1: But before I get to that, I want to say
- 11:53Speaker 1: thank you to our sponsor today, and that is the
- 11:56Speaker 1: number one conservative organization the country. Aim at AMAC is
- 12:01Speaker 1: an incredible organization that many of you have probably heard about. Well,
- 12:05Speaker 1: I'm going to give you a free membership today, and
- 12:08Speaker 1: the reason why is I want you to sign your
- 12:10Speaker 1: name to the list of conservatives are backing Judge Barrett.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I want you to stand with Judge Barrett, and I
- 12:17Speaker 1: want you to put pressure on those in Washington that
- 12:21Speaker 1: are going to decide what happens moving forward with a
- 12:24Speaker 1: Supreme Court nomination. If you're ready to get in the game.
- 12:28Speaker 1: If you're ready to have your voice actually be heard,

- 13:10Speaker 1: absolutely love that ben Free online dot com. That's been
- 13:13Speaker 1: free online dot com. So we learned certainly something really
- 13:18Speaker 1: important today, and that is that the left hate Judge
- 13:23Speaker 1: Barrett because she's a woman. The amount of um religious
- 13:29Speaker 1: bigotry she was shown today was pure disgusting from the
- 13:34Speaker 1: left and they hate her. Amy Cooney Barrett and Amy Klobichar,
- 13:38Speaker 1: you remember she ran for president. They decided to really
- 13:41Speaker 1: get into it over row and I want you to
- 13:43Speaker 1: hear Klobachar, Amy Klobitchard trying to really, you know, undo this.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna blow up your nomination in four minutes. It
- 13:53Speaker 1: didn't work out too well for her. Judge Barrett absolutely
- 13:58Speaker 1: destroyed her, as she should. But by the way, Corey Booker,
- 14:02Speaker 1: you know Spartacus, remember that guy. Yeah, he ran for
- 14:04Speaker 1: president Spartacus. He was asking questions of Judge Barrett. He
- 14:09Speaker 1: decided to also man explain to her. And he's a
- 14:11Speaker 1: religious bigot. He was angry that she's Catholic and actually
- 14:14Speaker 1: believes in Catholicism, not just like, oh, I'm a person
- 14:17Speaker 1: of faith, which is all they need you to say
- 14:19Speaker 1: to check that box if you're running for vice president
- 14:21Speaker 1: or president, which is exactly what you get from Kamala Harris,
- 14:24Speaker 1: a real person of religion. No, they're scary. They're a
- 14:28Speaker 1: threat to our socialism. I'll have some of those highlights
- 14:31Speaker 1: in a second, but first listen to center Amy Klobuchar,
- 14:34Speaker 1: go after Judge Barrett. This is what she had to
- 14:40Speaker 1: say just a little earlier. Her'd be Casey. The Supreme
- 14:48Speaker 1: Court's controlling opinion talked about in the Reliance Interests on
- 14:53Speaker 1: Roe v. Wade, which it treated in that case a
- 14:56Speaker 1: super precedent? Is Roe a super president? How would you
- 14:59Speaker 1: def find super precedent? I actually I might thought someday
- 15:05Speaker 1: I'd be sitting in that chair I'm not. I'm up here,
- 15:07Speaker 1: so I'm asked, Okay, Well, people use super precedent differently. Okay.
- 15:11Speaker 1: The way that it's used in the scholarship and the
- 15:13Speaker 1: way that I was using it, and the article that
- 15:15Speaker 1: you're reading from was to define cases that are so
- 15:19Speaker 1: well settled that no political actors and no people seriously
- 15:23Speaker 1: pushed for their overruling. And I'm answering a lot of
- 15:25Speaker 1: questions about Row, which I think indicates that Rowe doesn't
- 15:28Speaker 1: fall in that category. And scholars across the spectrum say
- 15:32Speaker 1: that doesn't mean that Rowe should be overruled, but descriptively,
- 15:36Speaker 1: it does mean that it's not a case that everyone
- 15:39Speaker 1: has accepted and doesn't call for its overruling. Okay, So
- 15:42Speaker 1: here's here's what's interesting to me. You said that Brown
- 15:45Speaker 1: is and I know my time is running out is
- 15:47Speaker 1: a super precedent. That's something the Supreme Court has not
- 15:52Speaker 1: even said, but you have said that. So if you
- 15:54Speaker 1: say that, why won't you say that about Roe v. Wade,
- 15:58Speaker 1: a case that the courts can trolling opinion in that
- 16:01Speaker 1: planned parenthood be casing case has described as a super precedent.
- 16:06Speaker 1: That's what I'm trying to figure out. Let me. Let
- 16:07Speaker 1: me be clear about what Senator COB's trying to do.
- 16:09Speaker 1: She got notes from her staffers, okay, and they gave
- 16:14Speaker 1: her notes that she's reading right now, and these questions
- 16:17Speaker 1: that she's reading right now just try to smack and
- 16:21Speaker 1: force Judge Barrett to say that Roe v. Wade is
- 16:26Speaker 1: settled law right, that it has super precedent. And what
- 16:31Speaker 1: you hear here is you hear Judge Barrett saying that's
- 16:34Speaker 1: not what legal scholars thinking or believe. I'm not sure
- 16:36Speaker 1: exactly where you're getting this from. And the proof of
- 16:38Speaker 1: it is the fact that I'm getting so many questions
- 16:40Speaker 1: a day about Roe v. Wade. All the questions that
- 16:44Speaker 1: I'm getting about Roe v. Wade should tell you that
- 16:46Speaker 1: there is not superpresidents here, because when it's a case
- 16:49Speaker 1: that deals with super precedents, you don't get asked all
- 16:51Speaker 1: these questions, and there's not all this volunteer latility over
- 16:54Speaker 1: a law. Now, the best part about this is, okay,
- 17:01Speaker 1: the best part about what Senator Klobuchar did not understand
- 17:05Speaker 1: why she was trying to go after Judge Barrett, is
- 17:08Speaker 1: she well, she didn't understand any of this. Her staff
- 17:10Speaker 1: members gave her the questions. So she decided, Okay, I'll
- 17:12Speaker 1: just ask the questions, and I'm going to nail you.
- 17:15Speaker 1: And I've got cliff notes of constitutional law on my side,
- 17:18Speaker 1: and you're and I'm a religious bigot towards you, Judge Barrett,
- 17:22Speaker 1: and I'm going to nail you on Roe v. Wade
- 17:24Speaker 1: because my staff figured out how to do it. And
- 17:27Speaker 1: here are the questions they gave me. Listen to Judge
- 17:31Speaker 1: Barrett dismantle her. Well, Senator, I can just give you
- 17:36Speaker 1: the same answer that I just did. I'm using a
- 17:39Speaker 1: term in that article that is from the scholarly literature.
- 17:42Speaker 1: It's actually one that was developed by scholars who are
- 17:45Speaker 1: you know, certainly not conservative scholars who take a more
- 17:48Speaker 1: progressive approach to the Constitution. And again, you know, as
- 17:52Speaker 1: as Richard Fallon from Harvard said, Rowe is not a
- 17:55Speaker 1: super precedent because calls for its overruling have never ceased.
- 17:59Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean that Rose should be overruled. It
- 18:02Speaker 1: just means that it doesn't fall on the small handful
- 18:05Speaker 1: of cases like Marbury versus Madison and Brown versus the
- 18:08Speaker 1: Board that no one questions anymore is United States for
- 18:12Speaker 1: Virginia Military is that super president, Senator Klobascher, If you
- 18:17Speaker 1: continue to ask questions about super precedents that aren't on
- 18:21Speaker 1: the list of the super precedents that I discussed in
- 18:23Speaker 1: the articles that are well acknowledged in the constitutional law literature,
- 18:27Speaker 1: every time you ask the question, I will have to
- 18:30Speaker 1: say that I can't grade it. Okay, this guy, our president.
- 18:36Speaker 1: He is the one that decided to PLoP a Supreme
- 18:39Speaker 1: Court nomination in the middle of an election when people's
- 18:43Speaker 1: healthcare is on the line with a case before the
- 18:45Speaker 1: court on November tenth. So let's see what he said
- 18:50Speaker 1: about the Supreme Court. Well. One of President Trump's campaign
- 18:55Speaker 1: promises in twenty fifteen was that his additional appointments will
- 19:02Speaker 1: do the right thing. But by the way, I love
- 19:05Speaker 1: what they're doing right now. The people that hate Donald
- 19:08Speaker 1: Trump's tweets are now blowing up Donald Trump's tweets and
- 19:12Speaker 1: putting them on a whiteboard. You heard that awkward pause there.
- 19:16Speaker 1: It's because Senator Klovichart just got schooled on superpressent. Because
- 19:20Speaker 1: she doesn't know Jack Crapp about the law, because she's
- 19:23Speaker 1: going off for cliff notes, and she's nothing more than
- 19:26Speaker 1: a religious bigot that thinks because she's a woman, she
- 19:28Speaker 1: can talk down to another woman. And she puts up
- 19:31Speaker 1: this tweet of Donald Trump, a tweet that says, if
- 19:36Speaker 1: I win the president, see my judicial appointments, will do
- 19:39Speaker 1: the right thing, unlike bush Is appointee John Roberts on Obamacare.
- 19:44Speaker 1: By the way, the president It's America is allowed to
- 19:46Speaker 1: put up political tweets because he's a politician. He's the
- 19:48Speaker 1: PRESIDENTITI it's America. This doesn't against the law. But don't worry,
- 19:52Speaker 1: Amy klobad Chart acts like it is against the law.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you hear what she had to say
- 20:00Speaker 1: as she put this tweet up, but I want to
- 20:01Speaker 1: put it in context for you. Notice how Senator Amy
- 20:04Speaker 1: Klobuchar refers to that guy as as she puts up
- 20:11Speaker 1: this tweet of the president as instead of like the president,
- 20:14Speaker 1: like that guy. You want to know how angry they
- 20:17Speaker 1: are that they're having to deal with Judge Barrett, how
- 20:19Speaker 1: little respect they have for the president, how little respect
- 20:23Speaker 1: they have for the Constitution, How little will respect they
- 20:25Speaker 1: have for people of faith and religion. I mean, these
- 20:28Speaker 1: are religious biggots of the Democratic Party. But listen to
- 20:31Speaker 1: the sly little just childish remark. I mean, it's supposed
- 20:34Speaker 1: to be a serious hearing, a serious hearing for someone's
- 20:38Speaker 1: in the Supreme Court of the Unitetents America. And they're
- 20:39Speaker 1: badgering her man's planning to her, and they're and they're
- 20:43Speaker 1: being religious biggest her and then they take cheap shots
- 20:45Speaker 1: to Donald Trump while in the process of doing all
- 20:48Speaker 1: of this. Listen, it's a very very sly remark. You're
- 20:52Speaker 1: about to hear Senator Klobuchar refer to this guy when
- 20:56Speaker 1: they put up the tweet behind her, Um, this guy
- 21:02Speaker 1: our president. He's the one that decided to plot a
- 21:04Speaker 1: Supreme Court nomination in the middle of an election. By
- 21:08Speaker 1: the way, that's also people, let's let's be very queer
- 21:10Speaker 1: about this. The president United States America did not decide
- 21:12Speaker 1: to plot plot a Supreme Court nomination in the middle
- 21:15Speaker 1: of an election. Ruth Vader Ginsburg decided to die during
- 21:19Speaker 1: the middle of a presidential election. And the constitution says
- 21:23Speaker 1: the president has a job to fill that seat. He
- 21:26Speaker 1: just following the constitution. And if Klobuchar wants to be angry,
- 21:31Speaker 1: you should be. They should be angry at Ruth Bader
- 21:34Speaker 1: Ginsburg for not stepping down and rolling the dice when
- 21:38Speaker 1: they had eight years. She could have retired under Obama
- 21:40Speaker 1: and we wouldn't even be having this conversation right now.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Amy Cooby Barrett would just be sitting on the Seventh
- 21:45Speaker 1: Circuit Court right now, and no one would be worried
- 21:48Speaker 1: about her on the left. You guys wouldn't be religious
- 21:51Speaker 1: bigots towards her right now. If you guys want to
- 21:54Speaker 1: be mad at somebody, you should be mad at Ruth
- 21:56Speaker 1: Vader Ginsburg for putting herself above y'all's believes. The President
- 22:03Speaker 1: did not put you in the middle of this. I'll
- 22:06Speaker 1: say it again. The President did not put you in
- 22:09Speaker 1: the middle of this, you guys did Ruth Vader Ginsburg did.
- 22:16Speaker 1: The President just doing what the Constitution says to do.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Healthcare is on the line with the case before the
- 22:22Speaker 1: Court on November tenth. So let's see what he said
- 22:26Speaker 1: about the Supreme Court. Well. One of President Trump's campaign
- 22:32Speaker 1: promises in twenty fifteen was that his judicial appointments will
- 22:39Speaker 1: do the right thing on Obamacare. You can see it
- 22:44Speaker 1: right here, and in fact, Judge, just one day after
- 22:47Speaker 1: you were nominated. This is like a few weeks ago,
- 22:51Speaker 1: he said, also on Twitter that it would be a
- 22:55Speaker 1: big win if the Supreme Court strikes down the health law. So, Judge,
- 23:03Speaker 1: my first question, do you think we should take the
- 23:05Speaker 1: President at his word when he says his nominee will
- 23:09Speaker 1: do the right thing and overturn the Affordable Care Act?
- 23:13Speaker 1: Senator klobaschar I can't really speak to what the President
- 23:18Speaker 1: has said on Twitter. He hasn't said any of that
- 23:22Speaker 1: to me. And what I can tell you, as I
- 23:25Speaker 1: have told your colleagues earlier today, is that no one
- 23:28Speaker 1: has elicited from me any commitment in a case, or
- 23:31Speaker 1: even brought up a commitment in the case. I'm one
- 23:34Speaker 1: hundred percent committed to judicial independence from political pressure. So
- 23:38Speaker 1: whatever people's party platforms maybe or campaign promises, maybe, the
- 23:44Speaker 1: reason why judges have life tenure is to insulate them
- 23:47Speaker 1: from those pressures. So I take my oath seriously to
- 23:50Speaker 1: follow the law. And you know, I have not precommitted,
- 23:55Speaker 1: nor would I precommit, to decide a case any particular way.
- 23:59Speaker 1: They because she's so good at explaining this stuff. You
- 24:05Speaker 1: listen to the way that she just did that. You
- 24:10Speaker 1: listen to the way that she just did that, and
- 24:14Speaker 1: they can't stand her. Judge Barrett also got into it
- 24:19Speaker 1: with Diane Finestn, another religious bigot of the left who's
- 24:22Speaker 1: attacking her for being a woman that has too many
- 24:24Speaker 1: kids and is actually believing in God. Again, it's the
- 24:27Speaker 1: second day of the Supreme Court just somination. You know
- 24:30Speaker 1: Brett Cavanaugh. They try to turn him into a child rapist,
- 24:34Speaker 1: like an actual child that rapes people. That's what they
- 24:38Speaker 1: tried to do, turn him into some sort of organizer
- 24:41Speaker 1: of gang rapes as a miner. Can't do that with
- 24:45Speaker 1: Judge Barrett because she's a woman. But we can turn
- 24:48Speaker 1: her into our religious bigot. We can turn into a
- 24:53Speaker 1: crazy Christian, I should say, showing their religious bigotry towards Christians.
- 25:01Speaker 1: And instead of asking her questions, most of the day
- 25:03Speaker 1: has been about lecturing her. Diz, I want to get
- 25:09Speaker 1: the Barrett to Finestein audio ready. It's about four minutes
- 25:12Speaker 1: long and it's brilliant. When Judge Barrett was asked about
- 25:17Speaker 1: Roe v. Wade by the sent Judiciary Committee ranking member
- 25:20Speaker 1: Diane Finestein, she said, quote, I have a view, whether
- 25:23Speaker 1: I love or hate it. One reason why I may
- 25:26Speaker 1: be comforting to you to have an answer is also
- 25:30Speaker 1: why I can't pre commit to approaching a case in
- 25:33Speaker 1: any particular way. Well, Diane Finestein wants you to bow
- 25:39Speaker 1: to her, not to your beliefs, and wants to you
- 25:44Speaker 1: to pre commit how you'll rule on Roe v. Wade,
- 25:49Speaker 1: which is, by the way, exactly what you're not supposed
- 25:51Speaker 1: to ask of people going to Supreme Court if you
- 25:54Speaker 1: are an elected official. I want you to hear this
- 25:57Speaker 1: back and forth. This is another woman, attack another woman
- 26:00Speaker 1: because this woman is not the feminist they want. This
- 26:03Speaker 1: is an actual woman that adds morals. This is an
- 26:06Speaker 1: actual one believes in family. This is an actual one
- 26:08Speaker 1: believes she's not God and believes in a god. And
- 26:12Speaker 1: this is how they treated her. Take a listen question
- 26:16Speaker 1: that the chairman touched on, and it's of a great
- 26:19Speaker 1: It's of great importance, I think, because it goes to
- 26:23Speaker 1: a woman's fundamental right to make the most personal decisions
- 26:27Speaker 1: about their own body. And as a college student in
- 26:31Speaker 1: the nineteen fifties, I saw what happened to young women
- 26:36Speaker 1: who became pregnant at a time when abortion was not
- 26:40Speaker 1: legal in this country. I went to Stanford, I saw
- 26:44Speaker 1: the trips to Mexico. I saw young women try to
- 26:50Speaker 1: hurt themselves and it was really deeply, deeply concerning. During
- 26:57Speaker 1: her confirmation hearing before the committee in nineteen ninety three,
- 27:02Speaker 1: Ruth Bader Ginsburg was asked several questions about her views
- 27:07Speaker 1: on whether the Constitution protects a woman's right to abortion.
- 27:12Speaker 1: She unequivocally confirmed her view that the Constitution protects a
- 27:17Speaker 1: woman's right to abortion, and she explained it like this,
- 27:21Speaker 1: and I quote, the decision whether or not to bear
- 27:25Speaker 1: a child is central to a woman's life, to her
- 27:28Speaker 1: well being and dignity. It's a decision she must make
- 27:33Speaker 1: for herself. When government controls that decision for her, she
- 27:38Speaker 1: is being treated as less than a fully adult human
- 27:42Speaker 1: responsible for her own choice. End quote. At one point,
- 27:47Speaker 1: our former colleague or a hatch, then the ranking member
- 27:51Speaker 1: of this committee, commended her for her being quote very
- 27:55Speaker 1: forthright in talking about that end quote. So I hope
- 28:00Speaker 1: and you have been thus far be equally forthright with
- 28:04Speaker 1: your answers in Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania versus Casey,
- 28:11Speaker 1: Justice Scalia, as was said earlier, joined the dissent which
- 28:17Speaker 1: took the position and I quote, we believe that Rowe
- 28:21Speaker 1: was wrongly decided and that it can and should be overruled,
- 28:27Speaker 1: consistent with our traditional approach to starry decisives in constitutional cases.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Do you agree with Justice Scaliah's view that Rowe was
- 28:37Speaker 1: wrongly decided? So, Senator, I do want to be forthright
- 28:42Speaker 1: and answer every question, so far as I can. I
- 28:45Speaker 1: think on that question, you know, I'm going to invoke
- 28:49Speaker 1: Justice Kagan's description, which I think is perfectly put. When
- 28:53Speaker 1: she was in her confirmation hearing, she said that she
- 28:56Speaker 1: was not going to grade precedent or give it a
- 28:58Speaker 1: thumbs up or a thumbs down. And I think in
- 29:00Speaker 1: an area where precedent continues to be pressed and litigated,
- 29:04Speaker 1: as is true if Casey, it would be particularly it
- 29:08Speaker 1: would actually be wrong, in a violation of the Canons
- 29:10Speaker 1: for me to do that as a sitting judge. So
- 29:14Speaker 1: if if I express a view on a precedent one
- 29:16Speaker 1: way or another, whether I say I love it or
- 29:18Speaker 1: I hate it, it signals to litigants that I might
- 29:21Speaker 1: tilt one way or another in appending case. So something
- 29:30Speaker 1: you just had a judge with no notes. By the way,
- 29:33Speaker 1: she's now the famous woman that has no notes. She's
- 29:35Speaker 1: doing all this just from her brain because she's this
- 29:38Speaker 1: woman's brilliant. She used Elena Kagan's response as her response.
- 29:47Speaker 1: If Elena Kagan's response was good enough for the Democrats,
- 29:50Speaker 1: you would think right there, they would stop badgering her. Right, Okay, well,
- 29:54Speaker 1: we respect the fact that you have the same viewpoint
- 29:56Speaker 1: as a Lega Kagan. Right, that's what you would assume.
- 29:59Speaker 1: That's what you would think. That's what you would That's
- 30:02Speaker 1: what you would guess, right that, that's how it would
- 30:04Speaker 1: go down. Oh oh, no, Diane Feinstein was not done
- 30:10Speaker 1: with her. That wasn't good enough because Elena Kagan got
- 30:15Speaker 1: a free pass because she's a liberal judge. She doesn't
- 30:19Speaker 1: believe in God the way you do. Woman, She's not
- 30:22Speaker 1: a devout Catholic and and and I'm a religious bigot
- 30:26Speaker 1: towards people like you. So I'm gonna keep coming after
- 30:29Speaker 1: you because your answer, you don't get to give me
- 30:31Speaker 1: the same answer that I accepted from Elena Kagan when
- 30:35Speaker 1: she was being confirmed that I had no problem with
- 30:37Speaker 1: because I don't like you because you're a woman of
- 30:40Speaker 1: faith and I'm a religious bigot. I'm Diane Feinstein. I'm
- 30:43Speaker 1: a religious bigot. Listen to the follow up from Diane Feinstein.
- 30:48Speaker 1: Hipway oh, on something that is really a major cause
- 30:56Speaker 1: with major effect on over half of the population of
- 31:00Speaker 1: this country. Who are women. After all, It's distressing not
- 31:06Speaker 1: to get a straight answer, So let me try again.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Do you agree with Justice Scaliah's view that Roe was
- 31:14Speaker 1: wrongly decided? Senator I completely understand why you are asking
- 31:20Speaker 1: the question, but again I can't pre commit or say yes,
- 31:26Speaker 1: I'm going in with some agenda because I'm not. I
- 31:29Speaker 1: don't have any agenda. I have no agenda to try
- 31:32Speaker 1: to overrule Casey. I have an agenda to stick to
- 31:35Speaker 1: the rule of law and decide cases as they come.
- 31:39Speaker 1: This woman understands law, maybe better than any other Supreme
- 31:45Speaker 1: Court justice I've seen go through these hearings, and they
- 31:49Speaker 1: hate her for it, and they can't stand that she's
- 31:52Speaker 1: using their own nominees to defend her logic behind this.
- 31:58Speaker 1: They cannot stand it. They hate it. They are going
- 32:02Speaker 1: to keep treating her like she's a fanatical Christian. Remember
- 32:07Speaker 1: that come election day, they are going to keep coming
- 32:10Speaker 1: after her like she's a threat to you because she
- 32:13Speaker 1: believes in God. Remember this is now the Democratic Party.
- 32:17Speaker 1: This is how they treat people that go to church.
- 32:20Speaker 1: This is how they treat people that believe in a
- 32:23Speaker 1: higher God. They become, they're showing who they are. They
- 32:27Speaker 1: hate people of faith, they hate Christians, they hate us,
- 32:33Speaker 1: and they're doing it today, day two with this Supreme
- 32:38Speaker 1: Court nominee Bart And I'll leave it at that.
