- 2:08Speaker 2: One and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Well, okay,
- 2:14Speaker 2: here we go.
- 2:17Speaker 7: You know what's important, What's what can be a huge
- 2:21Speaker 7: part of your success is if you if you find
- 2:25Speaker 7: a balance, if you find a balance in your life.
- 2:31Speaker 7: That's that's been very important for me. And I've really
- 2:35Speaker 7: never phrased it this way until now, but I was
- 2:38Speaker 7: kind of thinking about it after my wife and I
- 2:41Speaker 7: mean we set up one night recently.
- 2:43Speaker 5: Man.
- 2:44Speaker 7: You know, I often come on here and this is
- 2:46Speaker 7: kind of an inspirational moment of the show, and I
- 2:49Speaker 7: try to remind people about that most important relationship between
- 2:53Speaker 7: you and God. And that's that's the apex of it.
- 2:57Speaker 7: That's that's the that's the top of the crown. You've
- 3:00Speaker 7: got to form the relationship with God. If you don't,
- 3:02Speaker 7: everything else struggles. It's hard to be a good husband
- 3:06Speaker 7: without God. It's hard to be a good family man
- 3:08Speaker 7: without God. It's hard to be successful without God. Man,
- 3:11Speaker 7: it's hard to be hard to get through this thing
- 3:14Speaker 7: called life without God. So that's clear. But at the
- 3:18Speaker 7: same time, you can't talk about God. Twenty four seven.
- 3:23Speaker 2: You got to go to work. Come on, man, let's
- 3:25Speaker 2: just be real. I ain't doing I ain't your pastor,
- 3:27Speaker 2: I ain't at your church. But let's just be real
- 3:29Speaker 2: about it.
- 3:31Speaker 7: You know, if people tell you got to keep your
- 3:32Speaker 7: mind stayed on Him and all like that, that's a
- 3:35Speaker 7: true statement.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Got to keep your mind stayed in that area.
- 3:38Speaker 7: I don't not here to tell you how to live,
- 3:40Speaker 7: but you got to keep your mind stayed in that
- 3:41Speaker 7: area of God, of doing the right thing, caring about people.
- 3:45Speaker 7: That's what I took it as. Now I could be wrong.
- 3:47Speaker 7: I apologize if I'm not saying it the way you've
- 3:49Speaker 7: been taught. I can only do me now. But after that,
- 3:53Speaker 7: you got to go to work.
- 3:55Speaker 2: You got to have some fun. You got to take
- 3:57Speaker 2: care of your business.
- 4:00Speaker 7: That's the balance you have to find so it once
- 4:04Speaker 7: you focus on showing up your relationship with God, you
- 4:09Speaker 7: gotta balance this now. Now, you got to allocate some
- 4:14Speaker 7: time I don't care who you are, for your family.
- 4:17Speaker 7: If you're gonna have a family, you got to allocate
- 4:20Speaker 7: some time for them. See, we can't just marry these
- 4:23Speaker 7: women or make these kids and then neglect them. And fellas,
- 4:29Speaker 7: especially if I'm talking to men out here and ladies
- 4:31Speaker 7: you can listen to, but listen. If you find yourself
- 4:34Speaker 7: struggling in your life, man, and you can't seem to
- 4:36Speaker 7: get it together, let's just go over a couple of things.
- 4:39Speaker 7: The first two things, if you find yourself struggling, you
- 4:42Speaker 7: can't seem to pull it together and reach your goals
- 4:45Speaker 7: and get the where you want to go, Let's just
- 4:48Speaker 7: do a.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Check how is your relationship with God?
- 4:53Speaker 7: And then next how much time are you taking to
- 4:57Speaker 7: allocate for your family? Now, your family don't always live
- 5:01Speaker 7: in your house, but if you made them, they yours
- 5:06Speaker 7: and the responsibility to them is never lessening because you
- 5:09Speaker 7: don't stay there no more.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Because you and the girl broke up, You and a
- 5:13Speaker 2: woman don't.
- 5:14Speaker 7: Speak that hey, man, that don't ever release you from
- 5:17Speaker 7: the obligation feel me what I'm telling you this now
- 5:20Speaker 7: because I'm not telling you something I'm wondering about. I've
- 5:23Speaker 7: had to live through them years. So two things you
- 5:27Speaker 7: can start looking at. If you're not where you want
- 5:29Speaker 7: to be, and you ain't, you ain't really solent. You
- 5:32Speaker 7: can't figure out why you keep spending your wheels. Have
- 5:34Speaker 7: you just done a random inventory?
- 5:36Speaker 8: Man?
- 5:36Speaker 7: Have you just checked on your relationship with God? Have
- 5:39Speaker 7: you checked on the time you spending dedicated towards your family,
- 5:43Speaker 7: your children that you created? If them two things is
- 5:46Speaker 7: out of sink, man, that I can tell you right now,
- 5:49Speaker 7: you can go on and get to explaining yourself.
- 5:51Speaker 8: Away just like that.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Hey man, how come you ain't where you want to be?
- 5:55Speaker 5: Man?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Comes man, I really ain't. But if you really ain't,
- 5:58Speaker 2: then you really ain't.
- 6:00Speaker 7: The third thing is you got to allocate the necessary
- 6:04Speaker 7: time for your business.
- 6:06Speaker 2: You got to handle your business.
- 6:09Speaker 7: All of this, man, is the way it works, and
- 6:14Speaker 7: the order the order is God first, family second.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Then you got to handle all your business. But as me,
- 6:25Speaker 2: and this is what we do.
- 6:27Speaker 7: If I don't handle my business, I can't take care
- 6:30Speaker 7: of my family.
- 6:32Speaker 2: True statement. But if your business is in front of
- 6:34Speaker 2: your family.
- 6:35Speaker 6: You out of order.
- 6:37Speaker 7: Now, that's all we talking about now in it. See,
- 6:39Speaker 7: that's all we really say in here now, fellas you know,
- 6:43Speaker 7: you know I mean, I mean, come on, man, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 7: let's have a real conversation about being better. You know,
- 6:49Speaker 7: if you have created these children, you got to handle
- 6:51Speaker 7: your business.
- 6:52Speaker 2: You may not like the girl no more.
- 6:54Speaker 7: You and the woman might have broken up, y'all might
- 6:56Speaker 7: go your own way, But what that got to do
- 6:58Speaker 7: with the child though, Man, you got to handle your business.
- 7:00Speaker 7: They got to know who daddy is. That's your obligation. Man,
- 7:03Speaker 7: that God ain't letting you off the hook for that.
- 7:06Speaker 6: Try it.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Go ahead and try it and think you're gonna get
- 7:09Speaker 2: off the hook with that, cause you're not. Man, you
- 7:12Speaker 2: just not. I'm sorry, man, dog Steve, Why you coming
- 7:17Speaker 2: like that? Because I did it like that. I did it, man.
- 7:22Speaker 7: I was over here trying to reshape my life, get
- 7:24Speaker 7: myself up on my feet when I was a homeless
- 7:26Speaker 7: man and trying to come back. Man, I thought I
- 7:28Speaker 7: had to take care of me first and then so
- 7:30Speaker 7: I can neglect it. Cared about them kids, man, I
- 7:33Speaker 7: ain't hid at work Man, God kept his knee on
- 7:35Speaker 7: my neck for a long time for that one right there,
- 7:38Speaker 7: till I finally learned the lesson hold up, man, put
- 7:42Speaker 7: these phone calls in, Go spend some time, do something,
- 7:46Speaker 7: And then it started turning around for me. You know,
- 7:49Speaker 7: I can't be there all the time because I am
- 7:51Speaker 7: out here on the grind, in the hustle. But at
- 7:52Speaker 7: the same time, Man, some more phone calls, some more letters,
- 7:56Speaker 7: some more how high he hes something, then take care
- 8:01Speaker 7: of your business.
- 8:02Speaker 9: Man.
- 8:02Speaker 2: You got to work hard to be successful.
- 8:05Speaker 5: You know.
- 8:06Speaker 7: Sometimes I don't put that in there. I just live it,
- 8:08Speaker 7: and I expect my sons to emulate that. But I
- 8:10Speaker 7: gotta talk to them all the time. How hard you
- 8:13Speaker 7: got to work to be something. It's an all out
- 8:16Speaker 7: of salt on it.
- 8:17Speaker 9: Man.
- 8:17Speaker 2: If you gotta target in mind, you gotta go.
- 8:20Speaker 7: You gotta wake up every day trying to get there,
- 8:22Speaker 7: and you can't get tired of it because it.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Never ends.
- 8:29Speaker 7: You gonna always be this way. That's how life is
- 8:32Speaker 7: designed and set up. You got to be a hard worker.
- 8:35Speaker 8: Man.
- 8:35Speaker 7: If you always looking for some time to chill and man,
- 8:38Speaker 7: I wanna go do what I want to do. You
- 8:40Speaker 7: ain't gonna make it. In order to be successful, you
- 8:44Speaker 7: have to do a series of things that you're uncomfortable doing,
- 8:47Speaker 7: and work is the thing that most of us are
- 8:50Speaker 7: uncomfortable doing.
- 8:51Speaker 2: It's so much easier to chill matter. I wish I
- 8:54Speaker 2: could kick back with a cigar man all.
- 8:56Speaker 7: The time, but I can't, Man, I can't because I
- 9:03Speaker 7: got to work. Then the last piece of the balance
- 9:09Speaker 7: pipe balance piece is you gotta take some time out
- 9:12Speaker 7: to enjoy yourself.
- 9:14Speaker 2: But if you ain't where you wanna be, you ain't
- 9:17Speaker 2: got a.
- 9:17Speaker 7: Lot of time to enjoy yourself. Quit thinking, man, that
- 9:22Speaker 7: this balance is even. It's a whole lot of God,
- 9:25Speaker 7: a whole lot of family, a whole lot of business,
- 9:28Speaker 7: and a little bit of chilling. The chilling can't be
- 9:32Speaker 7: equal to the family, the business, all your God. If
- 9:36Speaker 7: the chilling is equal to any of them, you ain't.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Gonna make it. Quit chilling, man, and go to work
- 9:43Speaker 2: like a man. Do what you're supposed to do.
- 9:45Speaker 7: Work on your family, work on your relationship, work on
- 9:48Speaker 7: your God, work on your business. And then when you chill,
- 9:51Speaker 7: you might not chill as law, but you show gonna
- 9:53Speaker 7: chill bigger, You gonna ball bigger.
- 9:55Speaker 10: Baby, you're listening morning show.
- 10:01Speaker 8: Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up

- 11:44Speaker 8: Stomachs, if you got it. Yeah, with these half shirts
- 11:48Speaker 8: and full stomachs, that's not stomachs. No, no, that's not working. Man,
- 11:56Speaker 8: don't go together.
- 11:57Speaker 2: People can wear what they want to wear.
- 11:59Speaker 8: They can, but it don't sit well with me.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Yeah, shirts and stomach half shirts.
- 12:06Speaker 8: And full stomachs. That don't that don't look right?

- 12:19Speaker 8: It's the full stomach outside of the half of shirt.
- 12:22Speaker 12: What so they should have eaten before they put the
- 12:25Speaker 12: shirt on or.
- 12:26Speaker 8: What they No, No, there's a full stomach before they
- 12:28Speaker 8: eat and they know that. They know that, you know that.
- 12:31Speaker 8: Come on, you know this, don't look right? You know, no,
- 12:34Speaker 8: stop that.
- 12:36Speaker 1: So you want a top shirt that covers the full stomach?
- 12:40Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying?
- 12:41Speaker 8: Man, I like a full shirt, full shirt stomach to
- 12:47Speaker 8: cover that full stomach. That's what all I'm asking. It's

- 16:06Speaker 5: what you know.
- 16:06Speaker 13: And maybe it's a situation where Chris is like a

- 16:36Speaker 5: a man my twenty five year old daughter.
- 16:41Speaker 13: He let me say this right here. Love ain't got

- 17:31Speaker 5: my age you want to marry my daughter. Man, I
- 17:33Speaker 5: am not trying to talk to you about it. What
- 17:35Speaker 5: I need to do is I need to talk to
- 17:36Speaker 5: Crystal and get to the bottom of this. That's what
- 17:38Speaker 5: the hell I need to do.
- 17:39Speaker 13: Hey, And I understand that you you was probably gonna
- 17:43Speaker 13: I want to talk to and I ain't got no
- 17:45Speaker 13: problem with that. What I'm trying to explain to you
- 17:46Speaker 13: is that, man, love ain't got no limit. Man, It's
- 17:49Speaker 13: just something that happened. Crystal loved me, I love her,
- 17:52Speaker 13: and it is what it is. I just wanted to

- 27:59Speaker 11: Because you ain't been over here yet, I ain't because

- 29:03Speaker 4: These guys.
- 29:04Speaker 12: All right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 29:06Speaker 12: we'll have some entertainment news for you. Right after this,
- 29:09Speaker 12: Monica thought of this, she wrote that I know you're.
- 29:12Speaker 10: Listening hard Morning Show.
- 29:17Speaker 12: R Kelly has a new plan to get out of prison.
- 29:19Speaker 12: Kels wants the Supreme Court to throw out his convictions
- 29:22Speaker 12: for possessing of child porn and inducing minors to have
- 29:27Speaker 12: sex on a technicality, arguing that the charges shouldn't stand
- 29:30Speaker 12: since the alleged crimes occurred decades before the laws he
- 29:33Speaker 12: was charged under were introduced. The singer's legal team argues
- 29:37Speaker 12: that the charges brought on in twenty twenty were past
- 29:39Speaker 12: the statute of limitations and that is not fair to
- 29:42Speaker 12: charge him under two thousand and threes Protect Act since
- 29:45Speaker 12: it was only introduced after the alleged crimes were committed.
- 29:49Speaker 12: Now it's up to the Supreme Court to review the
- 29:51Speaker 12: motion for an appeal and decide whether it will go forward.
- 29:55Speaker 12: So statute of limitations, that's what he's claiming in this
- 29:59Speaker 12: particular situation.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Next story, Sure right, yeah, I'm speaking for the Supreme Court.
- 30:05Speaker 12: Ye, move on another entertainment news.
- 30:08Speaker 6: Yeah, you want to get out, You can want that
- 30:11Speaker 6: all day.
- 30:13Speaker 8: You need to get somewhere and sang and said out
- 30:16Speaker 8: that's all you need to.
- 30:17Speaker 6: Do us lights out.
- 30:22Speaker 11: You put the people on the Supreme Court. Wasn't it
- 30:23Speaker 11: Trump three, Yeah, but three. Okay, Well your black ass
- 30:28Speaker 11: damn sho ain't going to win it.
- 30:30Speaker 1: All this stuff they doing all this yeah right, all right?
- 30:35Speaker 12: Moving on to Meg the Stallion and Quavo, Well, they
- 30:39Speaker 12: supported VP Kamala Harris during a campaign rally Tuesday night
- 30:43Speaker 12: in Atlanta. Folks on social media have a lot of
- 30:45Speaker 12: opinions about this. Some didn't like Meg's performance. However, Meg's
- 30:49Speaker 12: endorsement message to women, if you love your body, vote
- 30:52Speaker 12: for Kamala Harris. Quavo also addressed the cloud about a
- 30:56Speaker 12: crowd about violence. So what do you guys think? Did
- 30:59Speaker 12: you see everything?
- 31:00Speaker 2: I did?
- 31:01Speaker 8: I saw it. I saw it. It was a shocker
- 31:05Speaker 8: at the beginning. Let's just say it that way.
- 31:08Speaker 12: When Megan Stallion came out.
- 31:10Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah. When Meg was dancing, and you know, I
- 31:12Speaker 8: don't know, I thought, I was like, okay, we're finished
- 31:14Speaker 8: work today. What we're doing we were working for the vote.
- 31:19Speaker 8: What we're doing for the Yeah we are, We're doing
- 31:22Speaker 8: what it takes.
- 31:22Speaker 10: Can we just say this?
- 31:24Speaker 12: How good she looked? She really looks.
- 31:26Speaker 8: Oh she got a body. That's this world?
- 31:28Speaker 6: Yes world.
- 31:30Speaker 8: Yeah, if it's gonna if it's if it's helping get
- 31:33Speaker 8: the young votes. I'm all for it if it's helping
- 31:35Speaker 8: get the young vote.
- 31:37Speaker 12: And and the VP works with Quavo on gun control
- 31:40Speaker 12: and gun reform. So that's now that connection people were
- 31:44Speaker 12: wondering about that. That was that connection. But all in all,
- 31:47Speaker 12: what a great night for the VP. What a great
- 31:51Speaker 12: night she got.
- 31:51Speaker 1: I mean the audience, the crowd was there. And at
- 31:54Speaker 1: the end of the day, she has to be the
- 31:57Speaker 1: candidate and the president for all of America.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Yeah, so we can't have this image of what it
- 32:04Speaker 3: should look like. She's doing grass roots campaigning and she's
- 32:08Speaker 3: going out. She's got to get the voters. We need
- 32:11Speaker 3: everybody in that building vote. That was at that rolly
- 32:15Speaker 3: We could she could get George.
- 32:16Speaker 8: What what what are the mixed what are the mixed emotions?
- 32:19Speaker 8: What are other people saying?
- 32:20Speaker 6: Well, they just.
- 32:21Speaker 12: Felt that, you know, maybe Meg was not the right choice,
- 32:26Speaker 12: you know, because of what it's working and you know,
- 32:28Speaker 12: the body stuff that she does.
- 32:31Speaker 8: Yeah, but it didn't bother me. It didn't bother me, say,
- 32:36Speaker 8: I wasn't shocked. It called me a little different. I
- 32:39Speaker 8: ain't gonna lie to.
- 32:40Speaker 11: Go Yeah, yeah, sure, sure, I have a problem with
- 32:46Speaker 11: what Meg came to town and didn't call me, and
- 32:48Speaker 11: we used to day six years ago.
- 32:49Speaker 6: You know what from.
- 32:54Speaker 1: It was a hot girl something.
- 32:57Speaker 4: It was like, it was, it was.
- 32:59Speaker 6: It was thirty days and she's still gonna come to
- 33:01Speaker 6: head like I here and then call me.
- 33:07Speaker 1: H town for life.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:10Speaker 12: Well, can we just say that Kamala Harris's speech when
- 33:14Speaker 12: she oh my god, when she said that she wanted
- 33:17Speaker 12: Donald Trump, you got something to say to me, say
- 33:21Speaker 12: it to my face.
- 33:22Speaker 3: Come on, let's go, ye a position on the border.
- 33:32Speaker 12: All of that, I mean, what a great speech, What
- 33:34Speaker 12: a great speech. And the momentum and the excitement surrounding
- 33:39Speaker 12: her was absolutely phenomenal. I mean, the energy, yeah.
- 33:42Speaker 6: It's it's it's so great.
- 33:44Speaker 12: It's just bring it that.
- 33:46Speaker 6: Come on, that's I can't. Let's go.
- 33:48Speaker 8: Let's go.
- 33:49Speaker 6: Let's go.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Y'all get out of boat.
- 33:50Speaker 11: Though.
- 33:51Speaker 12: Yes, all of the excitement is great, but it's got it.
- 33:54Speaker 12: We got to see it at the polls. We have
- 33:56Speaker 12: to tell it at the polls for that part.
- 33:58Speaker 9: Yep.
- 34:00Speaker 12: All right, moving on to our last story in this story.
- 34:04Speaker 12: Right here, President Biden, vice President Harris, former President Bill Clinton,
- 34:08Speaker 12: former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are among the dignitary
- 34:12Speaker 12: schedule to attend the invitation only celebration of life funeral
- 34:16Speaker 12: service at the Fallbrook Church in Houston. Today, Okay, VP
- 34:22Speaker 12: Harris released a statement about the late congresswoman that read,
- 34:24Speaker 12: in part quote, she was relentless one of the nation's fiercest, smartest,
- 34:29Speaker 12: and most strategic leaders in the way she thought about
- 34:34Speaker 12: how to make progress happen. The Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee
- 34:37Speaker 12: passed away on July nineteenth after battling pancreatic cancer. She
- 34:41Speaker 12: was seventy four years old.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Wow.
- 34:44Speaker 8: But this lady right here, man, this lady was outstanding.
- 34:47Speaker 8: I mean her entire life, her and tied. The majority
- 34:51Speaker 8: of this lady's life was all about justice for our people.
- 34:54Speaker 8: She was incredible, man. And she worked tirelessly. I mean
- 34:57Speaker 8: she worked around the clock.
- 34:59Speaker 9: Man.
- 34:59Speaker 8: The things that did in Texas was incredible. Man. Jela
- 35:03Speaker 8: Jackson Lee will go down in history as one of
- 35:05Speaker 8: the greatest, greatest of a whole that position right there,
- 35:08Speaker 8: and I don't know who coming up behind it, but
- 35:10Speaker 8: you got some heavy shoes to feel, buddy, Wow, heavy shoes.
- 35:15Speaker 3: The honorable Congresswoman Tommy is right, Tommy and Junior.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Nine we grew up in Houston. We grew up watching
- 35:22Speaker 1: her work, watching watching her car.
- 35:24Speaker 3: And when Tommy says she cares about the people, she
- 35:28Speaker 3: always put the truth first, truly, and Houston is her hometown.
- 35:32Speaker 3: And she really really let the charge in Houston, advocating
- 35:36Speaker 3: for people right, demanding justice, civil rights. We could go
- 35:41Speaker 3: all and on about her legacy. May she rest in
- 35:43Speaker 3: peace and our deepest condolencence to her family.
- 35:47Speaker 12: YEP, coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we're
- 35:50Speaker 12: going to switch gears here. Today's August first, as you
- 35:53Speaker 12: mentioned earlier, Junior, and back to school is coming fast.
- 35:56Speaker 12: We'll talk about it right after this.
- 35:59Speaker 10: You're listening hardy Morning show.
- 36:02Speaker 12: Well, today is August first, and back to school is
- 36:05Speaker 12: coming fast. In fact, many parents are already during their
- 36:08Speaker 12: back to school shopping, and a new survey finds that
- 36:11Speaker 12: the average American will be spending about six hundred and
- 36:14Speaker 12: sixty two dollars guys and back to school supplies this year.
- 36:18Speaker 12: One of the reasons for the wipping price tag is
- 36:20Speaker 12: that for many school kids, higher priced tech devices have
- 36:23Speaker 12: replaced traditional school supplies like notebooks, pens, and pencils. Expert
- 36:29Speaker 12: advice shopping around and looking for coupons and other rewards
- 36:34Speaker 12: to save money as you do your shopping in the
- 36:36Speaker 12: days and weeks ahead. So here's a question back.
- 36:39Speaker 10: In the day.
- 36:40Speaker 12: Okay, guys, back in the day, what did you look
- 36:42Speaker 12: forward to on the first day of school? And who
- 36:44Speaker 12: was your favorite teacher or coach?
- 36:46Speaker 5: Uh?
- 36:46Speaker 8: His name was coach Farrar. He hands down, that was
- 36:48Speaker 8: my track coach, Coach Farrar. And when we steal friends
- 36:51Speaker 8: to this day, he was my guy. He was my
- 36:53Speaker 8: and he was my tutor for math because I couldn't
- 36:55Speaker 8: stay in math and his girlfriend at time was my
- 37:01Speaker 8: math teacher, so she would send me to him. You
- 37:04Speaker 8: deal with your with your your little track star, you
- 37:06Speaker 8: deal with him. And he kept me on there. They
- 37:09Speaker 8: marriage this day. He coached for the excuse the US team?
- 37:15Speaker 12: Did you say track star?
- 37:17Speaker 8: Oh girl? I was cold girl?
- 37:22Speaker 12: Our heads?
- 37:24Speaker 13: What did?
- 37:26Speaker 8: What? Did water? Four hundred me?
- 37:30Speaker 3: And that we're getting ready to watch the Olympics, the
- 37:31Speaker 3: Olympic day track.
- 37:33Speaker 8: Yeah, Well when you see them coming around there, they're
- 37:36Speaker 8: gonna come around there in forty three forty three party
- 37:39Speaker 8: four seconds time coming around there, part at seven, part eight.
- 37:43Speaker 8: That's that's that's big difficult. Now if I come around there.
- 37:48Speaker 8: I'm coming around there by seventy something seconds.
- 37:52Speaker 1: It's gonna be a minute.
- 37:54Speaker 8: It's gonna be a minute.
- 37:55Speaker 12: But who was your experience?
- 37:59Speaker 11: Like the fact he said track star was shocking to me.
- 38:02Speaker 11: And I'm sitting here and I could care less.
- 38:06Speaker 12: Oh yeah, there's that. You guys had a race back
- 38:08Speaker 12: in the day.
- 38:09Speaker 6: You was a track star tea. You're reading to me,
- 38:11Speaker 6: that's what happened. That's it.
- 38:13Speaker 11: You read it against me, that that track star thing
- 38:15Speaker 11: went away. My favorite teacher was Coach Gunn las Gunn.
- 38:20Speaker 11: Coach Gunn was the one that traded me on the track.
- 38:22Speaker 11: That's how I know I was fast because Coach Gunn
- 38:25Speaker 11: he was an old black man when I was eighteen,
- 38:28Speaker 11: seventeen years old. He's already an old black man. Really
- 38:31Speaker 11: didn't really like white folks. That's all I can tell you. Boy,
- 38:33Speaker 11: last that's it.
- 38:35Speaker 12: Well, you know most old black men.
- 38:37Speaker 6: Oh but he teaches how.
- 38:39Speaker 8: The white and my drama teacher he was off to
- 38:45Speaker 8: change to my drama teachers all.
- 38:46Speaker 1: Saying, I mean, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that's your love scholarship.
- 38:52Speaker 12: A rematch between you two.
- 38:53Speaker 6: No, I can't beat him in drama, but that that
- 38:55Speaker 6: track though he won't leave us. I'm sitting here.
- 38:58Speaker 8: We can get back out there. Talked to some people
- 39:04Speaker 8: that went to high school. We just said he really
- 39:06Speaker 8: wouldn't all that. I mean, you know, school need to
- 39:10Speaker 8: tell you that that's a lot for show? Did Gentry
- 39:16Speaker 8: Dwayne evits.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Wayne, You're listening.
- 39:24Speaker 10: Morning show?
- 39:26Speaker 12: According to USA Today, Springfield, Illinois, Sagamine County Sheriff Jack
- 39:30Speaker 12: Campbell said that his department failed the community on the
- 39:34Speaker 12: July sixth. In the July six fatal shooting of Sonya Massey.
- 39:38Speaker 12: He said, we failed. We did not do our jobs.
- 39:41Speaker 12: We failed Sonya. We failed Sonya's family and her friends.
- 39:45Speaker 12: Sheriff Campbell went on to say, I stand here before
- 39:48Speaker 12: you with my arms wide open, and I asked for
- 39:51Speaker 12: your forgiveness. I asked Donad Massey, Sonya's mother, for forgiveness.
- 39:56Speaker 12: I offered no excuses. The sheriff also said he would
- 40:01Speaker 12: not resign. Many residents were outraged and spoke out at
- 40:05Speaker 12: the session. One resident said she should be able to
- 40:08Speaker 12: call the police. They're meant to protect and serve, but
- 40:11Speaker 12: apparently here in Springfield has shown on camera they harassed
- 40:15Speaker 12: and unfortunately kill.
- 40:20Speaker 8: You called the police to come to your house because
- 40:22Speaker 8: you feel like somebody is intruding on you and they
- 40:25Speaker 8: take they come over and take you out.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe come on, man, they killed them all no offense.
- 40:33Speaker 3: And I think a lot of people, you know, in
- 40:35Speaker 3: the community, was community was asking or demanding expecting the
- 40:41Speaker 3: share to resign, including Sonya Massey's father.
- 40:45Speaker 1: He wanted him to resign.
- 40:46Speaker 4: So this is not.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Listening session right, this listening session yesterday or a couple
- 40:53Speaker 3: of days ago when they had the session, he said
- 40:55Speaker 3: he was not going to resign.
- 40:58Speaker 1: So there are some issue.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Using that community obviously from this horrific killing of Sonia Massey.
- 41:05Speaker 3: And there's there's a trust problem now with law enforcement
- 41:08Speaker 3: and the citizens, and you know, they got to fix that.
- 41:13Speaker 8: See, this is this is what makes people take it
- 41:15Speaker 8: in their own hands and not even call the police.
- 41:17Speaker 8: And now you're trying to police your own house with
- 41:19Speaker 8: with guns and you you know, stuff that you shouldn't
- 41:22Speaker 8: have to take care of. That's that's a big problem
- 41:24Speaker 8: to me. And I'm worried about people taking, you know,
- 41:27Speaker 8: taking into their own hands. But look what you're up against.
- 41:29Speaker 8: You don't know what you're gonna get when you call
- 41:31Speaker 8: the police.
- 41:32Speaker 12: Right, that officer is in jail, you know, waiting for
- 41:37Speaker 12: all that.
- 41:37Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 41:38Speaker 12: Yeah, and her family wants justice. They do, they demand
- 41:43Speaker 12: they should, They deserve that for sure.
- 41:46Speaker 3: As they should a lawsuit as well out on the Yeah,
- 41:52Speaker 3: I'm sure there will be. I'm sure there will be.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Being that they've hired attorney Benjamin Crump, you know, he
- 41:58Speaker 3: is on the case.
- 42:00Speaker 1: He wants to. I'm sure they need to.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Make sure that the investigation is thorough, there's transparency, and
- 42:06Speaker 3: there is no cover up. And at the gate it
- 42:09Speaker 3: seemed like it was some kind of cover up. Yeah,
- 42:11Speaker 3: because they weren't honest with the family. Her son, Sonya
- 42:14Speaker 3: Massey's son spoke about that about what he was told
- 42:18Speaker 3: in the information. So this goes back to as well
- 42:23Speaker 3: with you look at President Trump when they're talking about
- 42:27Speaker 3: giving police complete immunity and all that.
- 42:30Speaker 12: So you can't have that twenty five, you can't have.
- 42:32Speaker 3: That that project twenty twenty five, You can't have stuff
- 42:35Speaker 3: like that because we have to hold the police department,
- 42:38Speaker 3: a law enfortsment accountable for actions like that.
- 42:41Speaker 1: So no, no, no complete immunity, any count.
- 42:44Speaker 12: For videotape though, thank god, because we would have you know,
- 42:48Speaker 12: had to believe what they told us about this one
- 42:50Speaker 12: if we didn't see it for ourselves with our own
- 42:53Speaker 12: eyes on tape, and they have to do something about this.
- 42:57Speaker 4: They have to.
- 42:58Speaker 12: I mean, it's great that he said, you know, we
- 43:00Speaker 12: failed and all that the police sheriff and all that
- 43:03Speaker 12: the sheriff, But come on, this was terrible. This was
- 43:08Speaker 12: terrible to see her shot in the head like that.
- 43:10Speaker 1: It was awful over a pot of water. Yeah, this
- 43:13Speaker 1: was awful. That's what you killed her over.
- 43:15Speaker 3: And have you guys been seeing on social media other
- 43:18Speaker 3: law enforcement, other police officers of all races coming.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Out saying saying that she should have not been killed.
- 43:26Speaker 3: That it's just it was all he overreacted to the
- 43:31Speaker 3: situation and took her.
- 43:32Speaker 6: Life over a pot of water.
- 43:34Speaker 1: And I've been seeing that on my timeline.
- 43:36Speaker 3: I don't know if you guys have been seeing it,
- 43:37Speaker 3: but other officers are speaking out about it too.
- 43:40Speaker 12: So and he asked her to take the pot off
- 43:43Speaker 12: the stove.
- 43:44Speaker 1: He did, He did.
- 43:45Speaker 12: The police officer.
- 43:46Speaker 11: Did imagine calling a police officer that comes to your
- 43:49Speaker 11: house that's about to kill you and the attitude that
- 43:51Speaker 11: he had.
- 43:52Speaker 8: On camera, he was angry.
- 43:55Speaker 3: Yeah, he's had problems in the past too. They said,
- 43:58Speaker 3: she's had some issues in the past, so this is unfortunately,
- 44:04Speaker 3: it keeps happening to us. Like you said, Tommy, it
- 44:07Speaker 3: seems like it always happens to us. It's just so sad.
- 44:12Speaker 12: Yeah, all right, guys. Coming up next, we'll have more
- 44:15Speaker 12: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 44:18Speaker 10: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 54:05Speaker 8: We got it for you here. It is Strawberry letta.
- 54:08Speaker 12: Subject I'm tired of covering for this man. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:12Speaker 12: I'm dating a guy that's been living with a woman
- 54:14Speaker 12: for six years and they're not married, so technically he's single,
- 54:20Speaker 12: so we're not cheaters. He's not happy with her, but
- 54:23Speaker 12: he tries to make her think he is, which is
- 54:26Speaker 12: confusing to me. I've been acting like I am his cousin,
- 54:30Speaker 12: and I'm tired of covering for this man. If I
- 54:32Speaker 12: call him, he pretends like he's talking to one of
- 54:35Speaker 12: his homeboys. I have been on FaceTime with him many
- 54:39Speaker 12: times and I've had to drop my phone when she
- 54:41Speaker 12: walked in the room. Everyone is hinted to her that
- 54:44Speaker 12: her man is cheating, and she's mentioned it to me before,
- 54:48Speaker 12: but I always assure her that her man is faithful. Yes,
- 54:52Speaker 12: I have been in social situations with them, and she
- 54:54Speaker 12: really thinks I am this man's cousin. Lucky for us,
- 54:57Speaker 12: his family lives way across the counch of the country
- 55:01Speaker 12: and he's not close to them. I picked up their
- 55:05Speaker 12: daughter from daycare before, and I have babysat for them.
- 55:08Speaker 12: I've done all of this. I've done it all to
- 55:11Speaker 12: keep the peace and keep him happy. But when do
- 55:14Speaker 12: I get to be happy and have him all to myself.
- 55:18Speaker 12: He said he can't leave because his child isn't even
- 55:20Speaker 12: two years old and he doesn't want to miss any
- 55:23Speaker 12: of the major moments in her life. Just like last week,
- 55:27Speaker 12: his girlfriend gave him a chance to leave. They got
- 55:29Speaker 12: into a heated argument and she accused him of cheating
- 55:32Speaker 12: and told him that she loves him, but he can
- 55:34Speaker 12: leave if he's found someone better. She confide it in me,
- 55:37Speaker 12: and I assured her that she did the best thing,
- 55:41Speaker 12: but he chickened out and told her that he didn't
- 55:43Speaker 12: want anyone but her. He doesn't know that I'm giving
- 55:46Speaker 12: her that. I'm giving her relationship advice on the side.
- 55:51Speaker 12: I'm tired of covering for him while he lies to
- 55:54Speaker 12: her about his feelings. Should I be straight up with her? Noosis, No,
- 56:00Speaker 12: m hm, be straight up with yourself. That's who you
- 56:02Speaker 12: need to be straight up with. This has nothing to
- 56:05Speaker 12: do with anyone but you. He's lying to you, and
- 56:09Speaker 12: you're believing it and lying to yourself, and you're in
- 56:12Speaker 12: her face lying with these lies he's giving you. It
- 56:16Speaker 12: is just too many lies in this letter. I don't
- 56:18Speaker 12: care what he tells you. He's not leaving her to
- 56:21Speaker 12: be with you. If so, he would have done it already. Okay,
- 56:25Speaker 12: but you do need to leave him. He may not
- 56:27Speaker 12: be married to her legally like you say, but he
- 56:30Speaker 12: has a child with her and everything else that comes
- 56:34Speaker 12: with marriage. They're doing it. They live together, all of that.
- 56:37Speaker 12: He's been with her for a whole six years. This
- 56:40Speaker 12: is not your man. He's just doing you on the side, period.
- 56:44Speaker 12: That's it.
- 56:45Speaker 1: Okay.
- 56:45Speaker 12: You ask what do you need to do to be happy?
- 56:48Speaker 12: When you put yourself first, and leave this mess you're in.
- 56:51Speaker 12: This is a mess. You need to get out. Think
- 56:53Speaker 12: about it. He calls you his cousin. She thinks you're
- 56:56Speaker 12: his cousin. Everybody thinks you're his cousin. And he calls
- 56:59Speaker 12: you his homeboy when he's talking to you on the phone.
- 57:01Speaker 12: He's hiding you. He doesn't respect you, and he really
- 57:05Speaker 12: doesn't want you. So please get out while you can
- 57:08Speaker 12: get out.
- 57:09Speaker 8: Tommy, I never thought i'd see it. What best side
- 57:14Speaker 8: piece ever? Hands down? She wins, hands down. Listen, listen, listen.
- 57:22Speaker 8: If you are side peace out there, I want you
- 57:25Speaker 8: to take notes on this letter right here, because this
- 57:27Speaker 8: his hands down best side piece ever. This woman. First
- 57:31Speaker 8: of all, she gets an oscar cause she acting her
- 57:33Speaker 8: butt off. You know what I'm saying. Every single day
- 57:36Speaker 8: she is acting. She got to be she got to
- 57:39Speaker 8: be the cousin this day, see Darnelle another day.
- 57:43Speaker 6: I mean, she's so many of the babysitter when it's.
- 57:46Speaker 8: Your baby's sitting over here, we're picking the baby up
- 57:49Speaker 8: from daycare, we doing all. This is by far the
- 57:54Speaker 8: best side peace ever. And for him to just be
- 57:57Speaker 8: so I don't like how he's taking care of side piece.
- 58:00Speaker 8: I really don't. I don't like because he's not caring
- 58:02Speaker 8: for her, and I don't like that part he got
- 58:05Speaker 8: nervous her. I don't want to miss none of the
- 58:07Speaker 8: baby and some moments and the babies like, well, what
- 58:10Speaker 8: does that mean? That means you ain't gonna never leave.
- 58:12Speaker 8: So that means I'm finna be your cousin forever. Then
- 58:14Speaker 8: you're gonna have to show me some something. I need
- 58:16Speaker 8: a little something more. You got to make me feel
- 58:18Speaker 8: a little bit more better. And then then then here's
- 58:20Speaker 8: the one that you gotta also understand, is uh, she
- 58:24Speaker 8: gave him a chance to leave. He had an out.
- 58:27Speaker 8: You sitting there looking at that out, and the whole
- 58:29Speaker 8: time you looking at that out, you on the other side,
- 58:32Speaker 8: confiding in her, letting them supporting her. Take girl, I
- 58:35Speaker 8: know what you're gonna do. You are You're playing both sides.
- 58:38Speaker 8: So oh you the coldest side.
- 58:40Speaker 12: You love her right now?
- 58:43Speaker 13: What?
- 58:44Speaker 8: Oh my god, she's so affectionate with everybody. She's making
- 58:48Speaker 8: everybody comfortable. In this letter the baby eyes of baby
- 58:52Speaker 8: doing the baby doing good, wise baby doing good because
- 58:54Speaker 8: cousin slash side pieces what taking care of the baby,
- 58:57Speaker 8: babysitting picking the baby up to daycare. You over there
- 58:59Speaker 8: more than damn mammy. You're doing what you're supposed to
- 59:01Speaker 8: be doing. Then you making sure that mama gets some
- 59:03Speaker 8: support because she needs some mental support from somebody. You
- 59:06Speaker 8: over there in her ear. Girl, You're gonna be alright.
- 59:09Speaker 8: I'm here if you need me, if you need somebody
- 59:11Speaker 8: to talk to, I'm here for you. You're doing everything
- 59:14Speaker 8: for him and he is not carving out any time
- 59:16Speaker 8: for you, and that's the part that's bothered me. He
- 59:19Speaker 8: is not supporting his side piece, and that's not what
- 59:22Speaker 8: you're supposed to be doing. You are a great side piece.
- 59:24Speaker 8: You are doing a great job. You're doing a wonderful job.
- 59:27Speaker 8: My uncle would be with jump off a cliff if
- 59:29Speaker 8: he was here. Hear my answer, because you know, because
- 59:32Speaker 8: he being here preaching, hell is you doing with his ass?
- 59:35Speaker 5: You need?
- 59:36Speaker 8: You should have been gone here. You know he'd have
- 59:39Speaker 8: been told you to leave. You know you is the
- 59:42Speaker 8: person that's messing up the damn relationship. Why don't you
- 59:45Speaker 8: find you something to do TOIMY is not gonna tell
- 59:47Speaker 8: you all that. Tom is gonna command you. Tom is
- 59:49Speaker 8: gonna command you on what you are doing. Well, you
- 59:52Speaker 8: are doing very well at side piecing. Okay, and if, if,
- 59:57Speaker 8: if ever there's a model of side piece last cousin.
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: You are it.
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: And I just want to commend you on what you
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: have done. You have really set the stakes high. And
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: I hope all the other side pieces are listening out
- 1:00:09Speaker 8: there and know what they need to do. And I
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: have the need to step stop start picking up their
- 1:00:13Speaker 8: start picking up. These people's are kids and stuff from school.
- 1:00:16Speaker 8: Help out. If you're going to.
- 1:00:17Speaker 12: Say, well, that's part two of our response to this
- 1:00:21Speaker 12: crazy strawberry letter. Coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:24Speaker 12: the hour. Today's subjects I'm tired of covering.
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: For this man.
- 1:00:28Speaker 8: There's a side piece meeting on Thursday of next week.
- 1:00:31Speaker 12: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:34Speaker 10: You're listening hard Morning show.
- 1:00:37Speaker 12: All right, we're going to recap today's strawberry letter. The
- 1:00:39Speaker 12: subject is I'm tired of covering for this man. A
- 1:00:42Speaker 12: woman wrote in she's been dating a guy that's been
- 1:00:44Speaker 12: living with a woman for six years. But the guy
- 1:00:47Speaker 12: and the woman he's living with are not married. So
- 1:00:49Speaker 12: the woman who wrote the letter says, technically he is
- 1:00:52Speaker 12: still single and they're not cheating. That's in her mind,
- 1:00:55Speaker 12: that's how she sees this situation. She says, the man
- 1:00:59Speaker 12: is not happy with her, but he tries to make
- 1:01:01Speaker 12: her think he is, and she's confused about it all.
- 1:01:05Speaker 12: So she's been acting she's been acting like the side piece,
- 1:01:08Speaker 12: has been acting like she's his cousin. But right now
- 1:01:12Speaker 12: she's tired of covering for the dude. She's tired of it.
- 1:01:15Speaker 10: Now.
- 1:01:17Speaker 12: If she calls him on the phone, he has to
- 1:01:19Speaker 12: pretend like she's one of his homeboys. She's been on
- 1:01:23Speaker 12: FaceTime with him many times, and when the girlfriend comes in,
- 1:01:27Speaker 12: who he lives with, she has to drop the phone
- 1:01:31Speaker 12: and he's still talking to her like he you know,
- 1:01:33Speaker 12: she's one of his homeboys. So she's unhappy with this
- 1:01:37Speaker 12: entire situation. She's been in social situations with them, and
- 1:01:41Speaker 12: she where the girlfriend really thinks that she's the man's cousin,
- 1:01:45Speaker 12: and you know, it's just a mess for her. She
- 1:01:48Speaker 12: wants to be happy, she wants to have some peace
- 1:01:51Speaker 12: in her life. She's baby set for them, you know,
- 1:01:54Speaker 12: taking care of the little two year old baby. You know,
- 1:01:57Speaker 12: she's tired of all this. She's comforted the girlfriend and
- 1:02:00Speaker 12: she's done all this and she's tired and one when
- 1:02:03Speaker 12: when they got into a heated argument the man and
- 1:02:06Speaker 12: his girlfriend, that was a chance for him to leave
- 1:02:09Speaker 12: because a girlfriend told him to leave, but he didn't
- 1:02:11Speaker 12: want to leave. Yeah, he didn't want to leave because
- 1:02:13Speaker 12: he said, the baby is barely two years old, so
- 1:02:15Speaker 12: he needs to stay and stick it out. So you know,
- 1:02:19Speaker 12: he chickened out from leaving. She says she's tired of
- 1:02:21Speaker 12: covering for him and lying to her about his feelings,
- 1:02:25Speaker 12: so she wants to know should she be straight up
- 1:02:27Speaker 12: with her? Okay, Junior, that's where we are with this.
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: Tommy is right, and I have to agree with Tommy
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: on this one. You deserve an oscar.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: You do.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: You deserve it.
- 1:02:37Speaker 11: You've earned this. You've earned it. So I mean, you
- 1:02:41Speaker 11: ain't just acting. You gotta change your voice too, because
- 1:02:43Speaker 11: you got to be darn now. Like tom said, you
- 1:02:44Speaker 11: gotta be.
- 1:02:45Speaker 6: Hey, what's he got to say?
- 1:02:47Speaker 15: All of this?
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: Hey, what's having? You got to do all of this?
- 1:02:51Speaker 11: You are acting? See, That's that's what we've learned fellas today.
- 1:02:56Speaker 11: You need a side piece.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: That could act.
- 1:02:58Speaker 11: She's active. She is doing a great job too. She's
- 1:03:05Speaker 11: dart now, she's the babysiter and then matter fact, you're
- 1:03:09Speaker 11: so good. His girlfriend called you as should I be
- 1:03:11Speaker 11: straight up with her? She needs to know from you.
- 1:03:14Speaker 6: Oh this is Oh she's good. Oh she's good.
- 1:03:17Speaker 11: Oh I love her, you love her? In fact, those
- 1:03:19Speaker 11: things I think about this missing out this letter. Surely
- 1:03:22Speaker 11: her name, she didn't give us that. If we need
- 1:03:24Speaker 11: my name, we want to call her. We want her
- 1:03:27Speaker 11: to teach class.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: She seriously serious, we're not playing.
- 1:03:32Speaker 11: She needs to teach the other side pieces how to
- 1:03:33Speaker 11: act because they don't know. All just want to be
- 1:03:36Speaker 11: up front. Be in the background. That's your job.

- 1:17:55Speaker 12: Would you rather have a beast sting you in the
- 1:17:57Speaker 12: face or would you rather hold a snake? Mm hmm, I'm.
- 1:18:02Speaker 8: Gonna take this thing we're gonna do to be Yeah,
- 1:18:07Speaker 8: I've been stung by a bunch of bees. I'm not
- 1:18:09Speaker 8: fooling with this. I'm not holding those snakes.
- 1:18:13Speaker 12: Would you rather? All right, here's one guys. Would you
- 1:18:15Speaker 12: rather have disappointing sex every day for a month? Or
- 1:18:19Speaker 12: would you rather have great sex just for one night
- 1:18:22Speaker 12: a month?
- 1:18:23Speaker 8: No, every single day? Because disappointing?
- 1:18:27Speaker 6: Yeah, disappoint you heard?
- 1:18:31Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:18:32Speaker 6: Tell me I'm raggedy in this bed.
- 1:18:34Speaker 8: Everything I don't care if I'm butt naked and confused.
- 1:18:39Speaker 8: I'm still comfortable with that.
- 1:18:41Speaker 11: Okay, sure are we kissing in this bad whatever your snake,
- 1:18:46Speaker 11: whatever you do, I don't care how this important and
- 1:18:49Speaker 11: sexiest matter of fact on a regular day, I'm not
- 1:18:52Speaker 11: mentioning up for that either.
- 1:18:53Speaker 6: It's five minutes, five.
- 1:18:55Speaker 8: Minutes, I tell Jack all the time, I'm a cold seven.
- 1:18:59Speaker 12: I'm yeah, all right. Would you rather live a long
- 1:19:08Speaker 12: life in poverty, long life and poverty or short life
- 1:19:11Speaker 12: rich and wealthy? Oh no, man, long life?
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: You're talking about taking me out now.
- 1:19:16Speaker 12: Surely I'm just asking this. Would you rather that long?
- 1:19:22Speaker 8: Don't kill me?
- 1:19:22Speaker 6: No, that long, that's gonna.
- 1:19:25Speaker 12: So you want to live short but rich and well?
- 1:19:28Speaker 8: I got an E B T card the whole time,
- 1:19:33Speaker 8: all the way to one hundred and folks.
- 1:19:38Speaker 6: I've been out associated off so much. I've been down
- 1:19:40Speaker 6: here the whole time.
- 1:19:41Speaker 12: Would you rather win an oscar or would you rather
- 1:19:43Speaker 12: win an Olympic gold medal? Cots fan, which one you
- 1:19:49Speaker 12: want to?
- 1:19:50Speaker 6: I want to because I'm not somebody athlete to win
- 1:19:54Speaker 6: a gold medal.
- 1:19:55Speaker 8: No, just oh, you're gonna win that oscar. Somebody gonna
- 1:19:57Speaker 8: walk up there and slap the hell at you. You're gonna.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:20:03Speaker 12: Coming up in forty nine minutes after the hour. Thank you, guys.
- 1:20:07Speaker 12: It's our last break of the day and we'll close
- 1:20:09Speaker 12: off the show right after this. You're listening.
- 1:20:13Speaker 10: Morning show.
- 1:20:14Speaker 12: Here we are, last break of the day, Steve. This
- 1:20:17Speaker 12: time is for you to just leave us with something
- 1:20:20Speaker 12: we can go through the rest of the day with.
- 1:20:22Speaker 12: With your closing remarks and what.
- 1:20:24Speaker 7: Do you have for us today, se Well, you know,
- 1:20:30Speaker 7: just something I've had to learn, but I have to constantly,
- 1:20:33Speaker 7: constantly remind myself of it all the time. And that
- 1:20:38Speaker 7: is something that Bishop Kenneth Olhman talking. He taught me
- 1:20:43Speaker 7: something I was going through. Something I was being attacked,
- 1:20:46Speaker 7: I thought rather unfairlyed with a bunch of vicious lies.
- 1:20:50Speaker 7: And what I was about to do was I had
- 1:20:53Speaker 7: a plan of a counter attack. I'm gonna go I'm
- 1:20:57Speaker 7: gonst say something. I'm wus set to reconstrate. Bishop al
- 1:21:01Speaker 7: Mud call me just in the nick of time. I
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: was about to make a call to a reporter. I
- 1:21:06Speaker 7: was about to make a call to a reporter. I
- 1:21:10Speaker 7: was about to just set the reconstrate, and Bishop Alma
- 1:21:14Speaker 7: says something to me. That changed my direction. He says, Steve,
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: stay on the wall. Stay on the wall. It's actually
- 1:21:24Speaker 7: a scripture. I don't know which one it is, but
- 1:21:26Speaker 7: it's something to the effect of stay on the wall.
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: But what he explained to me was very simple. You
- 1:21:37Speaker 7: are in a certain position in life. God has allowed
- 1:21:41Speaker 7: you to climb and do them overcome.
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: Survive and thrive. At a certain point in life.
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: When people beneath you start throwing rocks up at you,
- 1:22:00Speaker 7: when people on the floor start attacking you, staying stuff about.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: You that ain't true, it is in your best interest
- 1:22:11Speaker 2: to stay on the wall.
- 1:22:13Speaker 7: Do not climb down off the wall to address this
- 1:22:18Speaker 7: small stuff. When God has put you up there on
- 1:22:21Speaker 7: the side of the hill, you halfway up the mountain,
- 1:22:25Speaker 7: but you're gonna come back down to the bottom of
- 1:22:26Speaker 7: the mountain because somebody was hauling insults up there. So
- 1:22:29Speaker 7: now you come all halfway back down the mountain to
- 1:22:32Speaker 7: address them. Why now you got to go all the
- 1:22:36Speaker 7: way back up there when all you had to do,
- 1:22:39Speaker 7: Steve Harvey, was stay on the wall. When all you
- 1:22:42Speaker 7: had to do was stay on that side of the
- 1:22:44Speaker 7: mountain that God had allowed you to get to get
- 1:22:47Speaker 7: on that plateau and take.
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: Yourself a rest. But stay on the wall, stay on
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: the mountain side.
- 1:22:52Speaker 7: Don't come off to address these people that's throwing rocks
- 1:22:55Speaker 7: at you. Drake and Meek decided to quit coming off
- 1:23:02Speaker 7: the wall.
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: It makes no sense.
- 1:23:06Speaker 7: Cardi b and Nicki Minaj, you're on the wall.
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: Why do you keep getting off the wall to.
- 1:23:13Speaker 7: Address these small minded matters and people. I'm telling you, man,
- 1:23:21Speaker 7: just because you famous don't make you the smartest people
- 1:23:24Speaker 7: in the room. We're not just because we're famous people.
- 1:23:28Speaker 7: We make mistakes too, because guess what, famous people happen
- 1:23:32Speaker 7: to be human beings. They just got more people know
- 1:23:36Speaker 7: they face, they know yours. They not no better than you.
- 1:23:39Speaker 7: They're not smarter than you. They're not kinder than you.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: They're not deeper than you. It's none of that.
- 1:23:48Speaker 7: They may have seen a few more things, been a
- 1:23:50Speaker 7: few more places. But guess what if you don't adjust
- 1:23:54Speaker 7: your thinking and you keep coming down off the wall,
- 1:23:57Speaker 7: don't those rich, wealthy, famous people look real comming to you,
- 1:24:02Speaker 7: and don't it kind of make you just a little
- 1:24:04Speaker 7: bit of shame. Sometime when you look over there and
- 1:24:07Speaker 7: you see somebody that you clearly know that God has
- 1:24:10Speaker 7: blessed and allowed to get to a certain position in life.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: And don't it sicken you just a little bit when
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: you look over there and they.
- 1:24:17Speaker 7: Back down off the wall, acting like somebody that ain't never.
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: Been up on the wall.
- 1:24:22Speaker 7: I don't want to be that person, Nicki Minaj, really
- 1:24:25Speaker 7: don't want to be that person. Cardi b You don't
- 1:24:28Speaker 7: really want to be that person, because we're just defeating
- 1:24:33Speaker 7: the purpose of climbing anyway. You can't climb the wall
- 1:24:39Speaker 7: or the ladder and keep getting off every time somebody
- 1:24:42Speaker 7: throw a rock catch. At one point in time, you
- 1:24:45Speaker 7: got to keep your foot on the ladder and keep climbing.
- 1:24:48Speaker 7: At one point time, you just got to stay on
- 1:24:49Speaker 7: the wall, quit coming back down. The best lesson I
- 1:24:53Speaker 7: learned was not to address everything that's said about me.
- 1:24:57Speaker 7: Do you know how much stuff get said about me
- 1:24:58Speaker 7: man that I could hear straightened out? I don't even
- 1:25:01Speaker 7: take the time too straighten it out, because I what what,
- 1:25:07Speaker 7: I'm on a mission.
- 1:25:09Speaker 8: God got me on a mission.
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: God got you on the mission.
- 1:25:13Speaker 7: God trying to show you something, man, and God can't
- 1:25:16Speaker 7: show it to you if you're gonna keep acting regular,
- 1:25:20Speaker 7: Why would God do something extraordinary for you. If you
- 1:25:23Speaker 7: just want to be ordinary, why would God give you more?
- 1:25:27Speaker 7: If you ain't appreciative of what you have, why would
- 1:25:32Speaker 7: God take you high if you keep climbing back down?
- 1:25:35Speaker 7: Just ask yourself that. So one of the things I
- 1:25:39Speaker 7: had to come away with quick coming off that wall
- 1:25:41Speaker 7: to address stuff. And that's what I want everybody to
- 1:25:46Speaker 7: consider today. And sometimes let famous people be your example.
- 1:25:52Speaker 7: And one of the great examples was over this weekend,
- 1:25:54Speaker 7: Drake and Meek Meal, they hugged, they squashed the beef.
- 1:26:00Speaker 7: It's plenty of money for everybody. Drake not gonna get
- 1:26:03Speaker 7: it all. Meet not gonna get it all. Cardy ain't
- 1:26:05Speaker 7: gonna get it all. Nicki Minaj ain't gonna get it all.
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: Steve Harvey ain't gonna get it all. Ain't nobody gonna
- 1:26:11Speaker 7: get it all. It's plenty for everybody. Make your money,
- 1:26:15Speaker 7: stay on the wall, live your life as a righteous person,
- 1:26:19Speaker 7: do the best you can, stay prayed of because we're
- 1:26:23Speaker 7: all gonna fall short of the glory at the end.
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: All right, those are my clothes remarks.
- 1:26:29Speaker 8: Why you ain't say Steve Harvey ain't gonna get it
- 1:26:30Speaker 8: all the time. You ain't gonna get it off.
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: Why you ain't say that?
- 1:26:33Speaker 8: I didn't.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: I didn't want to compare me and you, but we're
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: a good comparison. This is such an obvious one.
- 1:26:40Speaker 12: It doesn't really drop the mic stick.
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: You ain't never said nothing, never.
- 1:26:49Speaker 6: Shut up, but you can must not have.
- 1:26:52Speaker 8: It might fall.
