- 2:00Speaker 1: H I shall well, I'm come honded. Everybody you're listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, Come on, dig me now, one and only.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, I got a radio show, just trying to
- 2:13Speaker 1: give God some back, just some back of what even
- 2:18Speaker 1: gave me, just a portion, you know. Just I'm just trying,
- 2:23Speaker 1: man to to to show some type of gratitude for
- 2:28Speaker 1: all his blessings. I'm just trying to man, just just
- 2:34Speaker 1: get it right sometimes, you know what I mean. I mean, man,
- 2:36Speaker 1: you just can't do what you wanna do and just
- 2:38Speaker 1: live wrong all the time. Man, you got it at
- 2:41Speaker 1: one point in time, Steve, come home, man, come on, man,
- 2:44Speaker 1: you could do better. I know you can, you know,
- 2:48Speaker 1: saying and and you know what I had to do.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I had to stop saying I'm gonna try to do better,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and I just had to say, hey, man, I'm going
- 2:55Speaker 1: to do better. You know, trying it's just to put
- 2:58Speaker 1: forth and that and then if it don't work, well okay.
- 3:01Speaker 1: But if you make up in your mind and I'm
- 3:03Speaker 1: going to do something, then trying isn't enough. It's getting
- 3:07Speaker 1: it done is the only thing that matters. Since the
- 3:10Speaker 1: difference between doing and trying. We're gonna try to win
- 3:13Speaker 1: the game or we're gonna go out here to win
- 3:15Speaker 1: the game. Now, trying to win the game means that
- 3:18Speaker 1: you could lose. But when you got in your mind
- 3:21Speaker 1: made up, most athletes will tell you that they go
- 3:24Speaker 1: out there with the full intent and purpose of winning
- 3:27Speaker 1: and winning. Only see they don't put the second place
- 3:30Speaker 1: finish on the cover Sports Illustrated. Second place don't get
- 3:34Speaker 1: you there. You you got to win. And now take
- 3:37Speaker 1: it out of the scope of athletics, but keep it
- 3:39Speaker 1: in that type of type of analogy in life. Man,
- 3:43Speaker 1: you just wanna you want to win in life, don't you.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I mean, at the end of the day, don't you
- 3:47Speaker 1: want to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated the Life.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Don't you want to be recognized for your hard work?
- 3:53Speaker 1: Don't you want, you know, to be recognized within the
- 3:56Speaker 1: bonus structure down at your job. Don't you want to
- 3:59Speaker 1: have your plaque up on the wall down at your job.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I mean most people do. Some people could care less.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Some people don't care about looking good or being their best.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And that's cool. But I ain't talking to them though.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I'm talking to you. I'm talking to those of you
- 4:12Speaker 1: who who who want to be the best you can be.
- 4:15Speaker 1: You know, people people kill me when they're getting mad
- 4:17Speaker 1: at at people here and he Brown knows and he
- 4:20Speaker 1: all up on the employee of the month man, the
- 4:22Speaker 1: dude doing his job to the best of his ability,
- 4:24Speaker 1: and he getting recognized for it? What they got to
- 4:26Speaker 1: do with all that you're talking about because you ain't
- 4:28Speaker 1: up there. It's amazing, man, how people describe other people's success.
- 4:32Speaker 1: He's so lucky, lucky, Hey man, Don't they kind of
- 4:36Speaker 1: get you a little bit when people call you lucky
- 4:39Speaker 1: When let me tell you what luck really is, y'all.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Luck is when hard work bumps up into opportunity, When
- 4:45Speaker 1: hard work run smack dab up in the opportunity. Some
- 4:50Speaker 1: people call that luck. But hold on, let's let's think
- 4:53Speaker 1: about this. If you wasn't working hard, an opportunity presented itself,
- 4:57Speaker 1: what would you call that? What you go all? That?
- 5:00Speaker 1: A missed opportunity? What you call that? Wrong place at
- 5:02Speaker 1: the wrong time? Boy, you missed out on that. But see,
- 5:06Speaker 1: when you've been working hard, an opportunity presents itself and
- 5:09Speaker 1: it bumps up into each other. Now people want to
- 5:11Speaker 1: call that luck, but hold up, here go to part
- 5:13Speaker 1: though to day, ain't paying no attention to Yeah, that
- 5:15Speaker 1: opportunity came by, But if you had not been working
- 5:18Speaker 1: hard and the hard work had not ran up in
- 5:20Speaker 1: the opportunity, what would you have? No, sir, it's not luck,
- 5:24Speaker 1: it's work. It is work because as a scripture that
- 5:27Speaker 1: says faith without works is dead. Look, I know I
- 5:31Speaker 1: use the same ones all all the time, but them
- 5:33Speaker 1: the ones I know. I mean what you want me to?
- 5:35Speaker 1: You want me lie to, you want me Come on
- 5:37Speaker 1: here and tell you man, I've been studying the Bible.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I haven't. I haven't, I haven't, I haven't. But my
- 5:42Speaker 1: mom was a Sunday school teacher. She taught me enough though.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Now I know different between right and wrong, just like
- 5:47Speaker 1: you do. You ain't gotta you know, it accused me
- 5:51Speaker 1: when people write a strawberry letter and my wrong for this?
- 5:53Speaker 1: You know? Good? Well, look at let's read your letter?
- 5:56Speaker 1: Are you wrong for this? You know you're wrong? What
- 5:58Speaker 1: you don't need that's to be telling, you know. But
- 6:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this anyway. We'll see. Go ahead, though,
- 6:03Speaker 1: do what you wanna do. But you know what, y'all,
- 6:06Speaker 1: here's the best advice I can give you. This is
- 6:08Speaker 1: what I really came to talk about this morning, but
- 6:11Speaker 1: I got sidetrack because I listened. You know what, get
- 6:16Speaker 1: get out of your own way. So many of us
- 6:20Speaker 1: are blocking our own blessings. We're just in our own way.
- 6:24Speaker 1: We are in our own way. And one of the
- 6:28Speaker 1: most dangerous ways you can get in your way is
- 6:31Speaker 1: to do it your way, to get it figured your way,
- 6:35Speaker 1: and to lock in on your way. And this is
- 6:38Speaker 1: the way it's got to go. Do you know how
- 6:40Speaker 1: many people are blocking their blessing? Do you know how
- 6:42Speaker 1: long I blocked mine? With that mindset right there? This
- 6:47Speaker 1: is how I wanted to happen. This is how I
- 6:50Speaker 1: wanted to go down. This is the way I'm gonna
- 6:52Speaker 1: go about it, and this this what's gonna happen. Lock
- 6:55Speaker 1: loaded fire. So I was dead set on doing it
- 7:00Speaker 1: my way. Have you ever talked to people man, Well,
- 7:02Speaker 1: it's just the way I do it. Look, because it's
- 7:05Speaker 1: the way you do it, You think that make it
- 7:07Speaker 1: the right way? You think jazz, because you'd have thought
- 7:10Speaker 1: on it long and hard, and that's what you really want.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Do you really think that your way is the right
- 7:15Speaker 1: way or could there be a better way? See? Until
- 7:18Speaker 1: I started listening to God and started paying attention to
- 7:21Speaker 1: his way, man, I was spending my wheels. Man, I
- 7:25Speaker 1: was out here so determined this how I was gonna
- 7:27Speaker 1: do it. But you know, I had to learn how
- 7:29Speaker 1: to get out of my own way because just because
- 7:32Speaker 1: I could do it my way didn't mean it was
- 7:34Speaker 1: the right way. I had to get out of my
- 7:38Speaker 1: own way. Just get out your way? Man, Now, what
- 7:43Speaker 1: what what does that mean? That means see, set your goals,
- 7:50Speaker 1: That means have your dreams. That's I'm I'm saying, set
- 7:54Speaker 1: your goals. Man, I ain't saying don't say goals. Listen
- 7:57Speaker 1: to me, set your goals. What is it you want
- 7:59Speaker 1: to have it. What is it you like to have,
- 8:01Speaker 1: What is it you like to be? What do you
- 8:03Speaker 1: aspire to? Set your goals and set your dreams. Now
- 8:09Speaker 1: take your goals and your dreams to God and ask
- 8:14Speaker 1: God to show you how. Man, you can save yourself
- 8:18Speaker 1: a lot of pain. Listen to somebody who did it
- 8:22Speaker 1: his way for so long. And when I finally got
- 8:25Speaker 1: out of my way, out of my own way. When
- 8:28Speaker 1: you've heard old people say, let go and let God.
- 8:31Speaker 1: You've heard him say that I didn't. I didn't get it,
- 8:34Speaker 1: but I got it. Now let go and let God.
- 8:38Speaker 1: And it's amazing little saying. Though now you know you
- 8:41Speaker 1: may not get it now it It took me a
- 8:42Speaker 1: bunch of years to get it too. But when I
- 8:44Speaker 1: took my goals and my dreams and my vision to
- 8:48Speaker 1: God and I said, God, this is what I hope for,
- 8:51Speaker 1: this is what I aspired to, This is what I
- 8:53Speaker 1: want to be, this is why I would love to
- 8:55Speaker 1: get to. Then I said, help me show me how.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Point me in the right direction, let me follow your footsteps,
- 9:04Speaker 1: guide me, and he give me a spirit of discernment.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Show me who wrong? Because I meet people every day
- 9:09Speaker 1: ain't up to no good with me every single day.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Oh man, Man, I can't believe I wunna up been
- 9:16Speaker 1: to you. Man, the Lord told me something's gonna happen
- 9:19Speaker 1: to me today. Well, see, I talked to him every day.
- 9:22Speaker 1: He did not mention you to me. He ain't said
- 9:25Speaker 1: nothing to me. He didn't tell me what was gonna
- 9:27Speaker 1: happen in mind. Now, I don't mean it can't happen
- 9:29Speaker 1: because I'm open to it. But it amazes me when
- 9:32Speaker 1: people come up to me. Man, the Lord wanted me
- 9:34Speaker 1: to tell you this. Hold on, man, I talked to
- 9:37Speaker 1: him every day every day, some days more than others.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I ain't perfect. I missed sometimes, but I'm on a
- 9:46Speaker 1: daily basis talking to him. So really, man, I'm I'm
- 9:50Speaker 1: and I and and and please no, I'm listening as
- 9:53Speaker 1: well as I've ever listened before. But but get yourself together, though,
- 9:58Speaker 1: see no, your goals and your dreams, and then let
- 10:00Speaker 1: God show you how to do it. He'll do it.
- 10:03Speaker 1: You know. It's so important everybody, that you get focused,
- 10:06Speaker 1: that you aim for something, that you dream of something,
- 10:10Speaker 1: that you aspire to something. But it's the most the
- 10:12Speaker 1: best thing you can do. After you do all that, man,
- 10:15Speaker 1: get God involved in it. Man, talk to him. I mean,
- 10:19Speaker 1: why would you not what you got to lose. You
- 10:21Speaker 1: ain't gotta go down there and make no big scene
- 10:23Speaker 1: and and run laps around the church and run up
- 10:25Speaker 1: there and throw yourself on the altar and scream and
- 10:28Speaker 1: flip over and throw money in there. You ain't got
- 10:30Speaker 1: to do that. This you and God, man, This you
- 10:33Speaker 1: and God. You know you got to serve and praise
- 10:36Speaker 1: him the way you do it. You gotta let everybody
- 10:38Speaker 1: else tell you highs done. It's a personal relationship. People
- 10:41Speaker 1: kill me if you don't do it this way. If
- 10:43Speaker 1: you don't come here to this church and you don't
- 10:44Speaker 1: run around in this circle and you don't get flipped
- 10:46Speaker 1: in the you don't, Hey, man, you better go have
- 10:49Speaker 1: a relationship with God. See what that's about. You understand?
- 10:51Speaker 1: Nobody throw you off with all that? All right? All right,
- 10:54Speaker 1: y'all talk to him. He loves to hear from you. Today.

- 12:48Speaker 1: it was a blessing work with him the first week
- 12:50Speaker 1: because he taught me so much. I was up there
- 12:52Speaker 1: watching this dude, just be black. You can do that.
- 12:58Speaker 1: You can be black, he said, Hell, I can't be nothing.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Now look at me. Now we do it, and look

- 13:26Speaker 1: good to be friends that long and never have a
- 13:28Speaker 1: falling out, you know what. I think the reason we're
- 13:30Speaker 1: not around each other that much help the friendship stay,
- 13:35Speaker 1: you know. And I'm sure he would get sick of me.
- 13:39Speaker 1: It's like if you sailmates. Eventually we took it to
- 13:44Speaker 1: president of I'm gonna get to jail. I don't He's
- 13:48Speaker 1: just explaining how it would be. We would sell ma
- 13:51Speaker 1: if it would be a fight sooner or later. Right, Yeah,
- 13:56Speaker 1: I don't you know if you're in jail, Like maybe
- 13:58Speaker 1: I don't like the way he makes or something like that.
- 14:01Speaker 1: You know, just a little things with friends. Okay, I
- 14:07Speaker 1: have a dad, and you remained friends and you've never
- 14:10Speaker 1: had a falling out. Okay, that's great. I was just wed.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Really fall out like that? Though, men do they fall
- 14:17Speaker 1: out like that? You know? Women, you got to do
- 14:21Speaker 1: something to a brother. Why are you thinking? Joe in there?
- 14:28Speaker 1: Get all right, it's time for it's time for something

- 15:17Speaker 1: y'all familiar with that? Er sort sit for men with
- 15:25Speaker 1: different patterns? Oh, Tommy, what they're cute. It's a will.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Let's go to little man Tommy because yeah he said,
- 15:42Speaker 1: yeah he did. Yeah, yeah, well this is a mistake.
- 15:45Speaker 1: No hold on it, Tommy, I'm not wearhing a Onesie
- 15:51Speaker 1: row Man clothes with feet at junior. An't they stopped

- 16:04Speaker 1: Dude came here with I'll be interested in purchasing one
- 16:06Speaker 1: day thirty five, nine and nine. Now, if you've seen
- 16:09Speaker 1: these Cam Newton wont one, Cam Newton wont one have
- 16:15Speaker 1: become this fashion trim. Now, the problem won't we having
- 16:19Speaker 1: with these rappers is that we're not built like Camdonna.
- 16:23Speaker 1: We don't have rapper bodies. Na, you can't see you

- 16:57Speaker 1: on him. Your legs ain't the same no more. No,
- 17:04Speaker 1: you know you you've got a lot of injuries on
- 17:05Speaker 1: your legs. Now. Now, now you got to explain. You

- 17:09Speaker 1: these anston beat you up back when you were fifteen? Well,
- 17:13Speaker 1: you know the bites. So your legs ain't cute no more,

- 17:18Speaker 1: Now they want to they want to take the zipper
- 17:20Speaker 1: on the romper and bring it down to your stomach.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Now we see what you gotta stay at wounds. This
- 17:24Speaker 1: is not stuff we should be seeing for me and
- 17:28Speaker 1: in these rompers. Man, I'm just telling we don't need
- 17:30Speaker 1: the wet these. Let's just get past this idea. This
- 17:33Speaker 1: is nothing sexy about these rompers for us. A lot
- 17:36Speaker 1: of men are wearing them though, revolutionizing older than now.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Your bladder ain't the same. How are you gonna get
- 17:43Speaker 1: to this bad from? Did you see the guy? Surely?
- 17:49Speaker 1: Did you see the guy that did like it was

- 17:54Speaker 1: Look that ain't It was way too mold, way too
- 18:00Speaker 1: Let's just get past the whole romper thing though. Let's
- 18:02Speaker 1: just move past it. I'm telling you going to that
- 18:05Speaker 1: bad you got that bladder, it's too much. It's too
- 18:10Speaker 1: much when you try, when you got to Pete, you
- 18:12Speaker 1: can't have no error. You missed that zipper and watch
- 18:17Speaker 1: would happened? Ain't no one forever? I know how we
- 18:22Speaker 1: can solve this. You said earlier, Steve that pimping was
- 18:25Speaker 1: coming on. I pimpin would wear a romper? I want,
- 18:28Speaker 1: I want to hear a Let me step in here

- 28:12Speaker 1: we said. What's up. Fox News personality Haraldo Rivera recently
- 28:18Speaker 1: spoke to TMZ about the passing of Roger Ales. Haraldo
- 28:23Speaker 1: recalled Ales as a good friend, his mentor. He also
- 28:28Speaker 1: referred to him as a genius, saying that he and
- 28:30Speaker 1: Rupert Murdoch were responsible for creating a news outlet that
- 28:34Speaker 1: spoke to the so called rednecks and farmers. Wow, and
- 28:39Speaker 1: most recently, Bill O'Reilly of course, was fired from that
- 28:44Speaker 1: show from that network as well. Yeah, you know I
- 28:47Speaker 1: saw that story, Roger Ales he passed, So you know,
- 28:50Speaker 1: you don't have to say anything negative about a person
- 28:53Speaker 1: when they passed me. I just don't. That's not my thing.
- 28:57Speaker 1: But you know, Fox taking some hits right now to
- 29:01Speaker 1: pass it to Roger else he was one of the
- 29:03Speaker 1: top people over there. They had to let Bill O'Reilly go.
- 29:06Speaker 1: You know, they take it serious. I'm pretty sure wants
- 29:11Speaker 1: to be number one over there. Yeah. I think Bill is.
- 29:14Speaker 1: I haven't heard it, but I've heard him to do
- 29:18Speaker 1: his podcast podcast and he got like mill or something. Yeah,
- 29:22Speaker 1: but that's still a podcast podcast. You say he got
- 29:26Speaker 1: twenty five meal. I think it got millions. Yeah. Yeah,

- 30:47Speaker 1: parties and entertainment and chilling folks. They've got it all.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Sand and Soul Festival dot Com. Steve Morning, you're listening
- 31:00Speaker 1: to this story is crazy. If you saw the footage
- 31:07Speaker 1: in the video of this, it was unbelievable. Some tourists
- 31:10Speaker 1: sitting on a dock at the Stevenson Fisherman's Warp in
- 31:14Speaker 1: a wharf in a Richmond, British Columbia, got a bit
- 31:17Speaker 1: of a scare when a sea lion grabbed a little
- 31:21Speaker 1: girl and dragged her into the water. It happened so
- 31:23Speaker 1: fast her family started feeding the animal and the sea
- 31:27Speaker 1: lion started to become comfortable. In the video, you can
- 31:31Speaker 1: hear people laughing and whistling at the sea lion and
- 31:34Speaker 1: holding their hands over the water as if they were
- 31:36Speaker 1: holding a treat. At one point, the sea lion lunges
- 31:40Speaker 1: within inches of the little girl's face. It seems like
- 31:43Speaker 1: a friendly move, and the girl laughs, you know, she laughs. Okay.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Then a few seconds later, when the seal lunges again,
- 31:52Speaker 1: it grabs a girl. It yanks her backwards into the water. Yes,
- 31:57Speaker 1: after being pulled back onto the and was rescued. This
- 32:01Speaker 1: was crazy. The family quickly walked away from the area
- 32:05Speaker 1: without saying much. They were probably very shaken up and
- 32:08Speaker 1: just wanted to get away from the sea lion as
- 32:10Speaker 1: fast as possible. I would agree with that. They've been
- 32:14Speaker 1: warning visitors though not to feed the animals for years, okay,
- 32:18Speaker 1: and they're just over there feeding. But that was a
- 32:20Speaker 1: man who wasn't in the family dove in and got
- 32:23Speaker 1: to be jumped in and rest got a little girl. Yeah,
- 32:26Speaker 1: because who knows what would have happened. I mean, it
- 32:28Speaker 1: happened so quickly. People know what come on, ye black
- 32:34Speaker 1: people will know. See the thing that the problem you
- 32:37Speaker 1: had with white people. Is they think all wild animals
- 32:41Speaker 1: are to be played with. You've read it all the time.
- 32:46Speaker 1: It's either a polar bear or alligator or a kangaroo,
- 32:51Speaker 1: now sea lion. Black people know a wild animal is
- 32:56Speaker 1: a wild animal. So you're saying this is not this
- 32:58Speaker 1: couldn't have when you all, I knew, I just knew
- 33:02Speaker 1: this was not black Not to mention what happened to you, Ja,
- 33:06Speaker 1: Oh my god, the ass weapon being pulled out of
- 33:10Speaker 1: the water when Ellie Brown was waiting my mother, my mother, Yeah,
- 33:15Speaker 1: my mother. When I came out the water, I probably
- 33:18Speaker 1: would have just stayed in the water and drowned. Oh
- 33:24Speaker 1: my god, mother, no let me let me drown. Can
- 33:33Speaker 1: please let me drown right now? We don't want my
- 33:38Speaker 1: mama too fitted fo fol standing there waiting for me
- 33:43Speaker 1: to get out of the water. My god in her
- 33:47Speaker 1: workoutfit when she didn't call the buzz down to the
- 33:50Speaker 1: can because your ass, I don't come too, but come
- 34:01Speaker 1: down to get off my good job. Your ass is
- 34:07Speaker 1: out here with a seal and white work outfit. Now Lord,
- 34:20Speaker 1: my daddy he a different reaction after I get beat
- 34:28Speaker 1: My daddy is na selling sms what's that then, me?
- 34:35Speaker 1: Seal meat sandwiches. My daddy damn seal. My father believes
- 34:44Speaker 1: in shooting everything. Seal snatched that damn board batter. Step
- 34:53Speaker 1: right up here. We got them fresh. We got them
- 34:54Speaker 1: fresh as you wanted. Seal meat sandwiches, wrap mo red
- 34:58Speaker 1: and wa we moram alright, we got in light of
- 35:07Speaker 1: what's going on today? So do we have miss Anne available? Bringers?
- 35:13Speaker 1: Now we embarrass our kids back then you yeah, you know.
- 35:18Speaker 1: Now it's here. Good morning everybody. This is answered with
- 35:21Speaker 1: the news, and yes, we have a lot going on
- 35:23Speaker 1: and a lot of it is not good. Okay. Celebrities
- 35:26Speaker 1: from the Rock to Bruno Mars Share, Ryan ccrest, Paula
- 35:29Speaker 1: abdul all expressing their shock and sending prayers over yesterday's
- 35:34Speaker 1: deadly explosion at Ariander Grande concert in Manchester, England. Authorities
- 35:38Speaker 1: say the twenty two concert goers were killed at least
- 35:41Speaker 1: sixty others injured. Manchester police treating and as a terrorist
- 35:45Speaker 1: incident until they know otherwise. President Trump has reacted. So
- 35:48Speaker 1: many young, beautiful, innocent people living and enjoying their lives
- 35:53Speaker 1: murdered by evil losers in life. I won't call that
- 35:59Speaker 1: monsters because they would like that term. I will call
- 36:04Speaker 1: them from now on losers, because that's what they are.
- 36:09Speaker 1: They're losers. I's already say. Another possible bombing device was
- 36:13Speaker 1: found not too far away from where the first one
- 36:15Speaker 1: went off. Police took it away and got rid of
- 36:17Speaker 1: it by way of controlled explosion. They also say that
- 36:20Speaker 1: the bomber was found dead at the scene. Again they're
- 36:23Speaker 1: looking at him and his connections and you know whatever.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Arianne Grande says, she's just broken by the whole thing.
- 36:29Speaker 1: She's constant. He's canceled her concert to a concert tour
- 36:33Speaker 1: right for for now anyway, and she just, you know,
- 36:35Speaker 1: everybody is so bummed out by this. Um. A lot
- 36:38Speaker 1: of children were among the dead. Yeah, young children were
- 36:42Speaker 1: among the dead. So I mean people out for an innocent,
- 36:45Speaker 1: uh concert, having fun with their families, and a lot
- 36:48Speaker 1: of them are not coming home again, so he said.
- 36:51Speaker 1: And of course, uh, the police presence has been beefed
- 36:54Speaker 1: up in a lot of other cities, and you know,
- 36:56Speaker 1: because of this, and in cities in Israel and New
- 36:58Speaker 1: York City for instance, round the Capitol and the White House,
- 37:01Speaker 1: and you know, all that has been beefed up. Even
- 37:03Speaker 1: though there haven't been any direct threats, but you have
- 37:05Speaker 1: to do that because you know you can be wrong once,
- 37:08Speaker 1: but they can only be right once and they don't
- 37:10Speaker 1: have this. If they're just right once, that's it, so
- 37:13Speaker 1: we have to be careful. Bail has been denied for
- 37:15Speaker 1: three Mississippi teenagers. This is disgusting. They were charging connection
- 37:18Speaker 1: with the murder of a six year old little boy
- 37:20Speaker 1: nine year old Byron McBride along with Dwan Wakefield Allen
- 37:24Speaker 1: de Allen. They're both seventeen. They were arrested for killing
- 37:27Speaker 1: the toddler, Kingston Frasier, whose body was found in his
- 37:30Speaker 1: mother's car only hours after the vehicle was stolen with
- 37:33Speaker 1: him in it outside of Jackson, Mississippi supermarket last Thursday.
- 37:37Speaker 1: UH scored into a score. In a statement, Wakefield blames
- 37:40Speaker 1: and McBride stole the car and killed the child. He
- 37:43Speaker 1: faces the death penalty. Okay, a lot of news not
- 37:46Speaker 1: good and we were back. Eugene. The Butterfly comes back
- 37:49Speaker 1: a twenty minutes after the hour. Stay tuned to the
- 37:51Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening, folks, he's here. It's him.

- 38:53Speaker 1: so we can was made for below your knee, but anyway,
- 39:01Speaker 1: it's not and pull it up. Not it's me. It
- 39:05Speaker 1: looks like a miniskirt. No, that's not, it's a romper anything. Really,
- 39:11Speaker 1: it's wrong him. I just want to remember that, not rumper,
- 39:14Speaker 1: it's romp him. And it's what me and are wearing
- 39:17Speaker 1: right now, and you're not waring. I feel like a
- 39:19Speaker 1: mechanic when I put man out, and I feel like,
- 39:21Speaker 1: you know, like a I feel like an Oprah hour short.
- 39:24Speaker 1: So I feel like a mechanic, like I'm a worker
- 39:26Speaker 1: or anyway, everyone they get for the fels you're not
- 39:32Speaker 1: you want to get feel like, you know, feeling like
- 39:37Speaker 1: you rob stuff that's not but you know, I wear
- 39:43Speaker 1: it feel like you know, like like like Martin, like

- 40:10Speaker 1: zip down to the navel, I could get it. I
- 40:12Speaker 1: could do that. M's to the top. I prefer wearing
- 40:18Speaker 1: a scarf with mine. Oh you okay? Scaring around? Stop
- 40:24Speaker 1: around there? But you where you want to really rocket though?

- 54:45Speaker 1: We'll be back. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 54:50Speaker 1: A Minnesota judge has ruled that Prince's six siblings are
- 54:55Speaker 1: the official heirs to his estate. You know, there was
- 54:58Speaker 1: some drama when he first past away last year about this.
- 55:01Speaker 1: So now that a decision has been made, Carver County
- 55:05Speaker 1: District Judge Kevin, I'd rule that since Prince died without
- 55:10Speaker 1: a will, his sister, Tyka Nelson and five half siblings
- 55:14Speaker 1: are his heirs. There are still people appealing to higher
- 55:18Speaker 1: courts after they were rejected as possible heirs, and I'd
- 55:22Speaker 1: said in his ruling that if the courts send those
- 55:24Speaker 1: cases back to him, he'll still consider them. The judge
- 55:28Speaker 1: has said in a previous order that he wouldn't declare
- 55:30Speaker 1: the siblings siblings as airs until the appeals have been decided,
- 55:35Speaker 1: but the siblings lawyers claim that further delay would have
- 55:38Speaker 1: increased costs for the estate. The estate is estimated to
- 55:42Speaker 1: be worth around two hundred million dollars, and federal and
- 55:45Speaker 1: state of state taxes are expected to be to take
- 55:48Speaker 1: about half of that, so they're worth around it's worth
- 55:51Speaker 1: around two hundreds of taxes. Take it. Then they'll have
- 55:54Speaker 1: a hundred million to split between the six so they're
- 55:59Speaker 1: previous split Yeah millions, Yeah, hundred millions split six people
- 56:07Speaker 1: for Prince Princess his full sister, and then he's got
- 56:14Speaker 1: five half sisters and brothers. Uh yeah, the same daddy
- 56:22Speaker 1: right or or mom? Yeah, that's what you need? A wheel? Yeah,
- 56:33Speaker 1: buckle up and hold on tight. We got it for you.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry letter, subject all these darn kids.
- 56:41Speaker 1: What's going on? Morning? Crew? I have been in a
- 56:43Speaker 1: relationship with my woman for about five years now, and
- 56:48Speaker 1: she is the mother of my son. When I met her,
- 56:51Speaker 1: she already had one son that was still a baby.
- 56:54Speaker 1: I've been taking care of him since he don't have
- 56:57Speaker 1: a clue who his real father is. I'm a good man,
- 57:00Speaker 1: so I took on the responsibility. Eventually we later had
- 57:03Speaker 1: a kid together. This is all good, but now she
- 57:07Speaker 1: wants to have another one. As tough as times is now,
- 57:11Speaker 1: we don't need another child. I'm in school because I
- 57:14Speaker 1: can't find a job, and she works part time at
- 57:16Speaker 1: a daycare center. We can't afford to have another baby.
- 57:20Speaker 1: But she always wants to have sex. I'm with that.
- 57:24Speaker 1: Her Medicaid done ran out, so she's not on the
- 57:27Speaker 1: shot anymore. I like the pleasure of feeling the real
- 57:30Speaker 1: thing when I do the do I don't want a condom.
- 57:33Speaker 1: This is my woman. I know we cool help me out, Steve,
- 57:37Speaker 1: what would you do in this situation? My advice to you,
- 57:40Speaker 1: based on everything you've said in this letter is you
- 57:43Speaker 1: can get a vasectomy. Uh, you certainly can. A lot
- 57:47Speaker 1: of men do that. Uh, A lot of men do it.
- 57:51Speaker 1: If you don't want any more children and you don't
- 57:53Speaker 1: want to use protection because you are so right in
- 57:56Speaker 1: your present financial state with you just working part time,
- 58:00Speaker 1: with her just sparking part time, and uh, with her
- 58:05Speaker 1: just working part time and you in school with no job,
- 58:09Speaker 1: it will be a financial burden on you right now.
- 58:14Speaker 1: We got it, Steve. And but have you actually sat
- 58:17Speaker 1: down and talked to her about this? Have you actually
- 58:20Speaker 1: sat down and talked to her? I think you should
- 58:22Speaker 1: discuss your options together. You guys have been together five years.
- 58:26Speaker 1: You're you aren't married, but um, you know you gotta
- 58:29Speaker 1: come up with some kind of plan because if you
- 58:31Speaker 1: don't want to use condoms, chances are she will get
- 58:34Speaker 1: pregnant if you guys are going at the rate you're going,
- 58:36Speaker 1: and this is not what you want. You guys both
- 58:38Speaker 1: have to be on the same page. You're in a
- 58:39Speaker 1: relationship together. Steve, Well, Dog, I don't really feel sorry
- 58:46Speaker 1: for you, bro. I don't really know what to tell you. Man.
- 58:48Speaker 1: You you got a problem that you ain't really trying
- 58:52Speaker 1: to solve yourself. Though. The question that the end of
- 58:55Speaker 1: YO letter is, Steve, what would you do in this situation?
- 59:00Speaker 1: I don't don't ask me that. Let's really though, Dog,
- 59:03Speaker 1: since you ain't put your name on him, don't ask
- 59:06Speaker 1: Steve what he would do. Let's talk about what you
- 59:10Speaker 1: ain't them, because really that's what's going on. I don't
- 59:15Speaker 1: even wor here about what I do. Let's just talk
- 59:18Speaker 1: about what you ain't gonna do. First of all, this
- 59:20Speaker 1: is your woman for five years now and she's the
- 59:23Speaker 1: mother of your son. This your woman. So let's talk
- 59:26Speaker 1: about the first thing you ain't gonna do. First of all,
- 59:28Speaker 1: you ain't gonna get married. I don't see that in
- 59:31Speaker 1: the let her know. Damn well, that ain't even on
- 59:33Speaker 1: the horizon because I know you're using the money as
- 59:37Speaker 1: an excuse not to get mad because I did it.
- 59:40Speaker 1: So I'm with your player. I understand what you're at you.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Let's talk about what you ain't You ain't gonna get married.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Second thing, you ain't gonna start wanting another baby, no

- 1:00:43Speaker 1: start wanting another baby, you ain't working, you ain't gonna
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: wear a condom. And here's the big one, you ain't
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: gonna stop doing to do without the condom or the job,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: or the willingness to have another baby or the marriage. So, really, dog,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: this is about you. You don't really care what your

- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Your woman want another baby and she always want to

- 1:01:45Speaker 1: That makes me why you can't find no job because
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: you at the house throward every chance you care. Now
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: you ain't working, but you ain't been to stop doing
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: the dude, and you ain't gonna wear a condom. Let's
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: just talk about this dog. A lot of sex with
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: no condom. Dances are a lot of sex with no calm.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Dances are, in the words of Shirley, chances are y'all
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: finn't have baby number three? Shirley, SI get ava sect
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: of me. Please don't discuss that with uncle Steve. I
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: can't take a cut. I don't want an accident. You
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: slip cut too much crazy from out forever. We'll be
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: back with part two. You're listening to the Steve Morning Show.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: All right, Steve, come on part two of your response
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: to today's Strawberry letter. Let's have it well, come on,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: you know dog Shirley gave some advice to the man
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: at all this little making and all is not wearing
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: the condom. Shirley opened up her letter with you could
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: get of a sect to me. I immediately started shaking.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: My palms got wet and I got cold on the inside.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I'm so very serious sect to me? Whoa but it's
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: not somewhere. Let me tell you why I can't do it,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: because I have several names for it, and I can't
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: afford for it to get injured. You can't snip and
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: something happened. You can't cut off the gravy train. You
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: can't do it. It's like shutting down the power to
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: the housing unit. It's like losing power to the locomotive.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: It's like shutting down the lion team. Na I can't
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: take a cut that. I hurried it through the grapevine.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: If you cut it, I can't hear through the grapevine.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: No crazy, That's like telling the poet for the shut up,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: don't blow your flute, don't play no more. It's like
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: not having a hot line. How are you gonna get
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: the information out? Ain't taking it? Gonna mess up and
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: cut off the love tunnel. Just can't even happen to me, surely,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: and Carla came relaate to this course. That's like cutting
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: off the market roll, the Moncket roll. The market got
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: ahead of the rope. You can't cut off the market rope.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: What is It's just like being a little boy and
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: all of a sudden you got you ain't got no bite, Chaine,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: What are you going? Your master? Lincoln came off. Can't
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: help me throughing that? What she gets to do with
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: this like a microphone and pull the cord out? What
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: I through? It was just that's like, that's like turning
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: over the vegetable truck. We ain't hate nothing yet, cutting
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: off the pleasure plump. It's like not having I'm in
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: the rodeo without the rope. Can you win? I'm shutting
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: down the love line. Hello, but you didn't write the letter?
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: He cut the wrong me there shutting down to joy
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: maker the water joy Maker, Joe, I've had cut that
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: line wrong. What a name? Russell? That's it? Russell, the
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: what says say you not the you bet you shut
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: you bet not say you shut up? Russell, the wonder muscle.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: You have to go see you know we do mail
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: or Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's strawberry letter at
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: my girl Shirley. All right, yeah, okay, Um, I know
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: we're in the business of, you know, getting people in
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: a good mood on the way to work and making
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: them laugh, but um, we got to talk about something
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: serious right now. If you're just waking up a horrible
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: news story. Uh. The Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: last night ended in chaos and worst of all, carnage.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: At last check, twenty two people are confirmed dead more
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: than fifty year injured. Yeah, it's so sad. Following an
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: apparent explosion at the Manchester Arena. The show it just
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: wrapped when attendees were leaving and they heard a loud boom.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: At first there was confusion, but then as people realize
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: what had happened, hysteria exploded. There have been reports at
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: a suicide bomber wearing a backpat uh perpetrated the attack,
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: but that's not confirmed. This is just in A twenty
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: three year old man has been arrested in connection with
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: the concert bombing, and ICES is aiming responsibility for this bombing.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: The show had just wrapped when attendees were leaving and
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: they heard this loud boom. At first there was all
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: sorts of confusion, but then as people realize what happened,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: hysteria exploded. Uh. Yeah, to take a listen to an
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: eyewitness account of what happened. As we get to the
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: top of the steps, we heard the biggest explosion and
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: it was literally about twenty ms from where we were stood.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Everyone started panicking. We initially fought with a terrorist attack
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: because that's just what what what you think? Because of
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: what's going on. People were screaming and shouting. It was
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: the worst experience ever. Sad. Uh yeah, really sad. The
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: UK Police chief says a Manchester explosion is being treated
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: as a terror attack. Take a listen to that. We
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: are currently treating this as a terrorist incident until we
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: have further information. We're working closely with National count Terrorism
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: of Network and UK intelligence partners. This is clearly a
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: very concerning time for everyone. Again, this just in. A
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: twenty three year old man has been arrested in connection
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: with the concert bombing, and ISIS is claiming responsibility for
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: the matter. We'll keep you posted, of course. Ariana Grande
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: later took to Twitter and simply offered um that she's
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: broken from the bottom of my heart. She says, I
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: am so sorry. I don't have words. Shortly thereafter, she
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: canceled the rest of her European tour. Date Ariana Grande
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: will not perform anytime soon. Uh. An inside source informed
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: TMZ that she suspended her Dangerous Woman tour. She had
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: three weeks of shows still planned in Europe. Yeah, but
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: do you still take your kids? Yeah? I took my daughter.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: We went to see Fifth Harmony. We've been to Beyonce concert.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: It's it's scary times. Yeah. Yeah. Speaking from Israel, President
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: Trump said it was the work of evil losers. We'll
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: be back. You're listening to show, all right. Well, you
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: talked to earlier about Prince's will and how you know
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: his siblings finally are going to get some of his
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: estate that was left over. Do you guys have a will? Yes?
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: I have a will and in a living trust. Definitely. Yeah.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: My kids are going to be so upset at me,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: and I think I think you should tell people before
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: you leave here that they're not getting a dance. I
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: agree with making a will so they can get him
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: know early, so they don't when dad died, we don't know.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: You're not getting any of that because you're not in it.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: And if you are in it, there're gonna be nothing left.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: I've designed my life so that by the time i'd die,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: I'm so but it's all That's the point of the will.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: This so that the lawyer can see the look on
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: that face. Just enjoy me as I'm dead. I know three.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: I wish I was there. When I'm doing it, I
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: can see it. It's your clothing. Bring me back as
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: a go second, see t you got with. I don't
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: even oatmeal my car because I think he deserved it. Ah,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Eugene can have pretty much all my jury and stuff.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: I got a little bit at you lead. Other than that,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: my little girl can have all the money. That's about
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: the smartest one in my house. That's about your wife. Yeah,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: you don't make no kind of sense. Anyone else did
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: anything wrong with my daughter? Can she really loved me?
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: She shouldn't be that far behind If she really loved me,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: she shouldn't be that far behind me. Where that much
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: love in the world. You stop looking over your shoulder,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: you know. You know how when somebody passed and they
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: really love the other person died like two or three
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: days later. So that's not gonna happen, Okay, But that
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: no one, No one sees that he's leaving things to
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: people that are in his head and butterfly just in case.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: It's possible, just possible. If she really loved me, did
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: you want me to leave you something? Is that what
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: it is? No? No, no, no, However, I'm just trying
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: to figure round. How are you? How are they going
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: to get it? Open? The butterfly? You're dead? Don't they
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: die with you? I'm not expecting. They weren't born with me.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Why would they with me? This is too much. Don't
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: think getting too much? Just make no sense, junior. Or
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: you get you get my players bag with all my
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: little toys and stuff in. You get that player You're
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: gonna need that play a bag. Who you play back?
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: I'm talking about that trissicle we got you that time.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: I ain't telling a little about the playoffs bag. When
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: you go, you go, see you the lady? You need
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: a bag like this? What you're gonna have to steam
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: everything head either by mints, Steve, I know you have
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: a will though I know you do now, huh, yeah,
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: we got one. Come on, who's getting what? Well? You
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: know what I mean? You know I'm doing everything for
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: the family. Really. I got Rose and Noah, Jail they
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: all that got to be when they came out here
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: from me. So you know, at a certain age I'm
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: trying to leave them something. Say family to thing this
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: year about a you got to be four or three
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: or four for you to leave something no man like
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: you know, like they can't get money in increments like
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: an eighteen m so they don't get it all at
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: wance and blow the big amounts. Is later in life
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: when you should appreciate, you know, what to do with
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: it more. Okay, you don't give him eighteen year old
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: millions of dollars don't want Okay, So of course I'm
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: but two or nothing to have? Whatever left? Did he say?
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: But two ship to do it? So okay, so we
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: can talk about what so you're too enough to do? What?
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Time to get whatever? You know? You leaving me. I
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: don't have to wait till I get a same. Ain't
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: you just give me? You can actually give me mine?
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Not I give it all to you the day you
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: can ride all the rides all the right boy, you're
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: gonna be stuck right well, you know when you go inline,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: you gotta be taller than to stick. He gonna be
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: doing that day trying to get that money. What about
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: Junior Jane got no money even consider paper wheel for
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: the lawyer. I don't paper man through the phone on
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: the phone, not sing I'm to leave. I ain't got
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: no money. Considered the paper cast you motifiling the filing feet,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: eat up the inheritance. It's seven hundred fifty five your wheel. Well, y'all,
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: that was it. I just gather. I'll tell y'all what though.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: In Texas this this lady died. She had millions. You
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: call all the kids in and had them around the bed.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: She said, I just want you all to open up
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: this envelope for what I've left. Y'all and her kids
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: treated up bad. Evidently, man, that lady passed. They opened
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: up that envelope. He had left all the money to
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: her dog. I have heard that happen everything. Yeah, and
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: so give it to the dog. He p on it
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: in the state the state kids, Wow, a lot about
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: you guys. All right, let's go to the song you're listening. Steve,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: what guys and Casey missed it? The National Board of
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: the nuble A c T voted on Friday to dismiss
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: the organization's president, the Reverend Cornell William Brooks. Yeah, I
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: didn't hear about this. Just three years ago. After putting
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Brooks in charge of the nation's largest and perhaps the
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: best known civil rights organization in double A, CP board
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: chairman Lyon Russell of the change is necessary to better
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: position the organization to combat the onslaught of civil rights
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: assaults and rollbacks the board expects under President Trump and
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and to prepare the organization to
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: shape the country in the next century now. According to
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: The Washington Post, in the wake of Trump's election, civil
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: rights organizations have raised concerns about the administration's willingness to
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: protect black and Latino voting rights, stem the tide of predadent,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: predatory financial products that target consumers of color, and address
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: criminal justice and educational education disparities. While Brooks has been
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: present at social justice demonstrations across the country, Chairman Leon
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Russell says the board is looking for a leader who
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: can focus on strengthening the local chapters and navigating local, regional,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: and state policy making processes. Okay, so they didn't think
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: his local game was strong enough, so they let him. Yeah,
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: I hear anything, you think younger younger? The millennium is,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: what is it millennials? Millennials listen or get involved in
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: double a CP with such organizations as Black Lives Matter
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: and stuff like that. Do they well, I think they
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: were involved in Black Lives Matter. I mean they are
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: they socially. Oh, I said, as you're saying, as opposed
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: to Black Lives Matter, and well, I have said for years,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: and I don't know if it's still a good idea.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I've always thought that the name should change the fifty
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: times and I think that there has to be an
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: injection of youth into it. And you're not gonna make
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: this happen with the same old regime that's been in there,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: because all they're doing is getting older and dying. You
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: have to go and get these young people, man, so
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: they can run this thing. You keep putting these sixty
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: year old dudes in charge, man, that's it. They old.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: They come in there with the same rhetoric. That's why
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: the organization doesn't grow. They've helped so many kids with college,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: they've done some great things. They've helped so many people
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: in situations. But it's just you have to change. Nothing
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: lasts forever. You just can't stay that way without change people.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: That's what you have an issue with. To see the
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: colored people. That's I mean, you know you gotta yea
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: and Cornell Brooks wasn't that old that they just appointed.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: I hear what you're saying, Steve, The old ways of
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: just still people running in but the board yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: they gotta put young people in there, man, with new ideas,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: social media capabilities, the thoughts, the concern of young people. Yeah,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: you got changed with the time period until you do. Yeah,
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: they're not signing up a lot of new people. I mean,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: we have appreciated. We definitely need organizations like this. I
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: don't think it should go away or anything like that,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: but but yeah, fresh ideas, things like that, like you're saying,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: Steve would definitely um breathe new life into the organization.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: How are they reach younger people? Yeah, mhm, and they
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: should have some young people reaching young people. Yeah, alright.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: Another news, According to Vibe magazine, Colin Kaepernick's jersey will
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: be a part of the Smithsonian's National Museum of African
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: American History and Culture. Okay, yeah, it's the same gear
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: that Kaepernick worewell taking a knee against injustice speaking of
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter j during last year's NFL season. But
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: that's not all. A pair of shoes and a picture
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: of Kaepernick was also donated to the museum by Sociology.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Has he got signed by a team yet? No? I
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: think he's with the Canadian Football League, him and r
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: G three and Johnny Ndzel. I think they're going to
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: some kind of comedian something. Is that what he said?
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: I hear that. Yeah, it's a shame too. Do you
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: think they do? You think they're doing it on purpose?
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: Damn man, I mean that. Look, the owners have gotten
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: together and decided that he's going to be too much
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: of a distraction and they don't want him on the team.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: That kneeling hurt without the proper explanation. If Kaepernick had
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: explained himself better at the beginning, he had every right
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: to do what he did. What he did was right
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: with what he did. The explanation of it didn't get
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: out in time. And when you got them soldiers standing
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: out there and that flag on furl and everybody honoring
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: the flag with all that's going on, see his politically
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: correct now out to honor the flag when you took
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: a knee. Without explaining yourself that he was not against
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: the flag, but he was against the way countries were
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: treating African Americans, it would have been a lot more palatable.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: He didn't get the messaging out right. Is then he
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: came back with the T shirt with Castro and Malcolm
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: X on it. I believe he didn't explain that and
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: it just went this guy's too much of a distraction,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: and that's hurt his career. But I was proud of
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: the stance he took. But he did not explain the
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: stance to the people. And when he took that knee,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: when that flag came out, they thought he was district.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: Once you do that to him, they just locking loader.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: But his reasoning for doing it was absolutely want her
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: to present correct. He just didn't get that he wasn't
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: against soldiers. They thought he was against military. Yeah, man,
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: and that's not what he was doing, but they thought
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: it was against him. And you can't do that. I mean,
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: the Browns isn't even sign him on. And we need
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: any damn anybody, y'all. We just need somebody that could
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: take a snap. Oh my whole took it to the
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: super Bowl, didn't They didn't win, But yeah, but I mean,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: he's he's that good of a quarterback seen years ago.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: When you see other quarterbacks getting signed, they got no
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: business getting signed. Like you see Ryan's Vin Patrick get
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: a three million dollar deal for one year. But then
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: the our guy that Cleveland Brown's got he out already
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: the quarterback to the dame. He out, Oh no, got hurt.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: First day of training camp from the top. Man couldn't
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: take a snap. It's a shame in this free country.
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: Man can't protest, You can't take a nither. You're listening
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here's a

- 1:25:08Speaker 1: not Chinese food is good the second day. Chinese food? Yeah,
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: so food, Italian Italian food, that's whatsa like? Lasagna? Yeah?
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: I love any pasta, cole cold hot dogs, not even
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: cook right, out the pack, not past. You lost us
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: on the past. Some things when you pour it just
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: kind of spill over to a little bit of money.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: You still need him to say, you don't write out
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: the pack. You don't know Tommy's hot dog story? Do
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: you tell me what Steve? When I was growing up,
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: he uses boil a hot dog and wouldn't give me
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: that the hot dog would told me that hot dogs soup.
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: You would eat that the next morning, pull me some
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: of that and told me that that was I thought
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: I was eating hot dogs sup for years. Man, I
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: was hot dog walm with that film on the top
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: of the film man, that little public stuff. Yeah, man,
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: have me thinking I had the best thing anywhere. I'm
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: gonna make it sup, putting a little pepper in it. Yeah,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: you take me. What are you gonna do? What are
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: you gonna do? He's stupid, stupid and ten years younger?
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: Hot ducks. But what's the food you gotta eat right away? Though? Oh?
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: French fries, that's a good one. Even burgers you have
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: to eat right away. I'm gonna share some with you

- 1:30:15Speaker 1: you this guy's we're all helpful. We're at work. We'd
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: like to help each other and stuff like that. Well,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: according to a new study, stopping by the desk of
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: your coworker to help them when you're already tired can
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: actually increase mental exhaustion and lead to a toxic work
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: environment filled with resentment and sabotage. So you can't help
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: anyone if you're just keep it moving. Yeah, Well, if
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: you stop by my desk, you're gonna get a damn memo.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: So all right, I'm hanging ride with my story. But
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: what if somebody needs your help, your coworker, It just

- 1:30:57Speaker 1: they're they're not saying completely ignored them, They're just yeah,
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: just when you're tired, you know, don't do it because
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: it makes it work. You're angry, Yeah, make wor Well,
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: when I'm tired, I can't hear good, huh. One of
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: the first things that shuts off when I'm tired is
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: my hearing. You just start tuning people up. I don't
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: know if I start to, it just tunes people out
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: because I need all my energies, so I don't even hear.
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: You know, why am I helping my coworking anyway? Steve, Steve,
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: you don't hear any of that. Huh, Hello, I didn't

- 1:31:37Speaker 1: you didn't you hear me? You automatically tune you out.
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: What did you say, Tommy? Why do you help your coworker?
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: Why am I trying to hit my coworker anyway? Because
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: we're a team, it's a company. You don't know what
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: you're doing. We're all trying to win together. But you
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: don't know at my job. Yeah, your job. Yeah, I'm
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: trying to get this check and go home. Anybody have
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: a cowork you hate seeing coming down the hall? Hell? Yeah, hell?
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: How stuff you tell up in your desk when he
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: see him coming. You pull up in the park a
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: lot and don't want to walk in at the same
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: time with somebody. Or when your boss comes through and
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: you try to do boozy work, you're not doing anything,
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: But when your boss come you're on the phone. All
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: the one that walks in with their breath. Ye hope.
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: But I got the people when I sold insurance, I
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: had a dude, had bro and I just told it.
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: The third day he talked to me. I wouldn't never

- 1:33:24Speaker 1: and feed it back to your damn sef you do that. Well,
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: I'll admit it's a little it's a little off. You know.
