- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out, then turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go me. Come come on your back. I shall
- 2:02Speaker 1: well a good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now one it only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show? Man. I love it when I
- 2:14Speaker 1: run up into people and they say that to me.
- 2:16Speaker 1: They say, hey, Steve Harvey got a radio show. Then
- 2:19Speaker 1: they wink at man, I know they're listening. You know.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I got a lot off my chest yesterday. I wanted
- 2:23Speaker 1: to clear some things up. And I appreciate y'all giving
- 2:26Speaker 1: me a minute, because sometimes you know, you just gotta
- 2:29Speaker 1: say some things out loud. Not complaining, but hey, just verbalizing,
- 2:34Speaker 1: but realizing that I gotta keep going anyway. And that's
- 2:38Speaker 1: for my words this morning to you that I want
- 2:42Speaker 1: you to keep pushing no matter what happens. I want
- 2:47Speaker 1: to share something with you that's important, that's very, very important. See,
- 2:54Speaker 1: you have to give God something too, bless you know,
- 3:00Speaker 1: if your prayer is asking for God's blessings, you gotta
- 3:04Speaker 1: give him something to work with. Now, you know, you
- 3:09Speaker 1: got to show the spirit of appreciation or gratitude. You
- 3:15Speaker 1: gotta let him know that you're in it for the
- 3:17Speaker 1: long haul. No matter what happens. Don't turn around. You
- 3:24Speaker 1: will never ever see what the end could be. If
- 3:30Speaker 1: you turn around and go back, You'll never know what
- 3:33Speaker 1: the end could have been had you stuck it out.
- 3:38Speaker 1: You'll never know how good it could have gotten had
- 3:43Speaker 1: you not just weathered the storm. That's the thing that
- 3:49Speaker 1: gets most people. They get tough for them, It get
- 3:54Speaker 1: hard for them, and then they let doubts set in,
- 3:57Speaker 1: and then those doubts become facts and the next thing
- 4:00Speaker 1: you know, they give up. Had you not given up,
- 4:05Speaker 1: or had you given your best, what the results or
- 4:08Speaker 1: outcome could have been. I look back on my life
- 4:11Speaker 1: on so many occasions where in college I wasn't giving
- 4:16Speaker 1: my best. Now I flunked out. Now it's easy to
- 4:22Speaker 1: look at my life nine go yeah, but look at
- 4:25Speaker 1: you now. But back then, Man, it cost me for
- 4:29Speaker 1: so many years that failing to finish that, not giving
- 4:35Speaker 1: my all, it cost me a number of years. I
- 4:41Speaker 1: wish I could say that it didn't mean nothing, that
- 4:44Speaker 1: it was just a blimp on the radar screen screen,
- 4:47Speaker 1: But at the time it was major. And so you
- 4:50Speaker 1: have a lot of decisions in your life that are
- 4:52Speaker 1: happening now. You may be in your twenties, your late teens,
- 4:56Speaker 1: you could be in your early thirties, and it is happening.
- 4:59Speaker 1: But guess but you will eventually get through it. Provided
- 5:04Speaker 1: one thing you never give up. You never turn around
- 5:08Speaker 1: and go back. Had I written myself off because of
- 5:13Speaker 1: one failure, see, and this is where so many people
- 5:15Speaker 1: go but go wrong at two. You write yourself off
- 5:19Speaker 1: after you failed at something, the one thing you thought
- 5:23Speaker 1: you wanted to accomplish, and you failed at it. Now
- 5:26Speaker 1: you write yourself as a failure. Now you go settle
- 5:29Speaker 1: on end to life and just see what See what
- 5:32Speaker 1: hand you get? Had when I flunked out of college,
- 5:36Speaker 1: had I written myself off as a failure, I wouldn't
- 5:39Speaker 1: be here today. When I lost my carpet cleaning company,
- 5:43Speaker 1: I would have written myself as a failure, and I
- 5:46Speaker 1: wouldn't be here today. When I didn't become a diamond
- 5:49Speaker 1: distributed in Amway or a direct distributor in am Way,
- 5:53Speaker 1: even I would have written myself as a failure, and
- 5:57Speaker 1: I wouldn't be here today. When I bought a distribution
- 6:02Speaker 1: kit to become a distributor of the Bohemian Diet and
- 6:07Speaker 1: I didn't make it, I would have written myself as
- 6:10Speaker 1: a failure. When I became an Al Williams distributor and
- 6:14Speaker 1: I didn't make it, I would have written myself as
- 6:16Speaker 1: a failure, and I wouldn't be here today. Oh, I
- 6:18Speaker 1: got a list for you. When I got laid off
- 6:22Speaker 1: it for a motor company. Had I written myself as
- 6:25Speaker 1: a failure, I wouldn't have made it. Do you need
- 6:29Speaker 1: some more? Because I have a story filled with mishaps.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I have a story filled with failures. A couple of
- 6:41Speaker 1: things now, the grace of God and his mercy which
- 6:45Speaker 1: is available to us all. See that's the key, y'all,
- 6:49Speaker 1: Because of his mercy, because of his willingness to forgive
- 6:55Speaker 1: and to even understand why we do the things we do.
- 7:02Speaker 1: In all of my shortcomings, failed marriages, I'm talking about,
- 7:07Speaker 1: man got it all wrong. I can't blame nobody else.
- 7:12Speaker 1: It's just me. Steve ain't have it together at that
- 7:15Speaker 1: point in life. I've could have ridden myself as a
- 7:19Speaker 1: failure the first time I could. I just could have
- 7:23Speaker 1: gave up on it after the second one. And please
- 7:27Speaker 1: know that this is an admission. This ain't bragging. So
- 7:30Speaker 1: before you start in with me, understand what I'm saying.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I'm pointing out in my life a series of missteps
- 7:39Speaker 1: and failures. But how I still get here today a
- 7:45Speaker 1: couple of things. God's grace and mercy is first. But
- 7:51Speaker 1: that's the key, that's for everybody see if it's God's
- 7:55Speaker 1: willingness to forgive you, and God's the standing of why
- 8:01Speaker 1: we do what we do because He's said we wasn't
- 8:03Speaker 1: gonna be perfect. So in all of your imperfections, your
- 8:08Speaker 1: creator told you you would not be perfect. He's sad
- 8:12Speaker 1: it to you. It's out there. I don't care which
- 8:14Speaker 1: one of the books you read it tells you that.
- 8:20Speaker 1: So guess what With that in mind, he has a
- 8:23Speaker 1: grace that he has. It's like a grace period. It's
- 8:27Speaker 1: like when you don't pay your insurance premium on the
- 8:30Speaker 1: day that is due. The next day. They don't just
- 8:32Speaker 1: cancel your insurance premium. They have a grace period because
- 8:38Speaker 1: they ain't trying to stop this money from coming in.
- 8:41Speaker 1: But when it comes to God, there's no money required.
- 8:44Speaker 1: He just gives you the grace freely. It don't cost
- 8:48Speaker 1: you nothing. So you got to tap into that, y'all.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You gotta get in touch with that, because that's an
- 8:52Speaker 1: important part to making it understanding that his grace is available.
- 8:57Speaker 1: So when you make a mistake, when you fail at it,
- 9:02Speaker 1: he has a loophole in the contract with him that
- 9:06Speaker 1: allows you to make mistakes, that allows you to get
- 9:09Speaker 1: it wrong, that allows you to fail time and time
- 9:12Speaker 1: and time again. But if you never give up, if
- 9:15Speaker 1: you keep getting up, if you keep trying, if you
- 9:19Speaker 1: keep striving, if you keep making the effort to go
- 9:23Speaker 1: forward and not go back, God has a blessing for you,
- 9:27Speaker 1: and He has it in abundance for you, and God
- 9:30Speaker 1: will give it to you at the right time. But
- 9:33Speaker 1: you got to be ready. Oh, I want it to
- 9:37Speaker 1: be successful. But if he had given it to me
- 9:40Speaker 1: back then I wouldn't have handled it correctly because I
- 9:44Speaker 1: would have made some more mistakes along the way. So
- 9:48Speaker 1: you make the mistakes to learn the lessons. Lord, they
- 9:52Speaker 1: ain't God been good to me. I ain't gonna lie
- 9:55Speaker 1: to you. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, May I please
- 10:04Speaker 1: please have your undivided attention. Today is the day that
- 10:08Speaker 1: the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad
- 10:12Speaker 1: in it. Let me say something, This is twenty twenty.
- 10:17Speaker 1: I never envisioned in my life getting to twenty twenty.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I did not know it. I just thought it was
- 10:24Speaker 1: so far away. That number seems so big. Glory to
- 10:28Speaker 1: God that we are all here in twenty twenty. It's

- 17:05Speaker 1: fights in my comedy career. Two of them has been
- 17:08Speaker 1: in the sipp. One of them was in Hattiesburg at
- 17:11Speaker 1: a club called Bonny and Clydes. Yes Sos. Got in
- 17:16Speaker 1: fight with some soldier boys or somebody down there, don't
- 17:19Speaker 1: know who. They thought I was happen. Well, I was
- 17:22Speaker 1: down there. Look had little little Asian dude was with

- 18:36Speaker 1: of they was all white. They said, now they started it.
- 18:40Speaker 1: The black guy was actually cool. He was nice because

- 18:44Speaker 1: got mad at him, pushed him, and then huh they
- 18:47Speaker 1: called him in where all hell broke loose. It was
- 18:50Speaker 1: over after that. So Hattsburg, that was my Hatteburg story.

- 19:00Speaker 1: j k x uh, All right, let's move on. Today's
- 19:05Speaker 1: aren't being an old school. And then we have a
- 19:09Speaker 1: KTC x FM and Boumont, Texas. I had to fight
- 19:15Speaker 1: in Beaumont, my comp I was working at the Beaumont Theater.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Come on, I swear and okay, I was having a
- 19:25Speaker 1: bad show, a very bad show. Yeah, somebody yell out

- 19:33Speaker 1: that funny as you shoot that shit, and we started

- 19:41Speaker 1: Speeping where the clan hang out, or west Er texts
- 19:44Speaker 1: in Vital, Texas, which is not far from you. So
- 19:48Speaker 1: I had to fight left real early. Anyway. That's that's
- 19:50Speaker 1: my story. You drive a speed limit inviter buddy through.

- 23:20Speaker 1: too old, bless it. Not only is it a new year,
- 23:29Speaker 1: it's a new decade. And nah, we fend to see
- 23:34Speaker 1: if things ain't changed a bit. Though over here this
- 23:38Speaker 1: church of mind, they're still tripping. Let us begin with
- 23:42Speaker 1: the first year church complaint. All through the new year,
- 23:45Speaker 1: come old deacon, all right past the first of our
- 23:49Speaker 1: happy new year to you. Let me get down the business.
- 23:52Speaker 1: I the members are asking that you not asked them
- 23:56Speaker 1: to turn to our neighbors this year, at least until
- 23:59Speaker 1: our flu season passes, all right. They don't want to
- 24:02Speaker 1: turn into their neighbors and say anything because nobody wants
- 24:05Speaker 1: to get sick, so they're asking you to do that.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Can you understand we who who is this that is
- 24:13Speaker 1: passing this route? That was sister rob Roberta dix or Cicero.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Don't want us or standing and touching each other. Well, no,
- 24:30Speaker 1: it's not flu season is because she's one of our
- 24:32Speaker 1: larger members and more people can touch her. Because she's around,
- 24:38Speaker 1: she's available for more hand and that's what her complaint
- 24:43Speaker 1: really is. So we're gonna ask her that in this
- 24:47Speaker 1: new year that we have our new church weight reduction
- 24:51Speaker 1: program that she signed up for. It's big news, happy
- 24:56Speaker 1: new Years. Lots of memberships out there now playing it
- 24:59Speaker 1: the fitness so forth and sold. All right, we just
- 25:04Speaker 1: gonna stop pound cake every day and just see how
- 25:07Speaker 1: that one. That's a start. No pound cake. Here's something
- 25:16Speaker 1: here past the eyes. Sister Loretta Bailey is walking around
- 25:20Speaker 1: saying new year, new meets. He says she is a
- 25:23Speaker 1: new person and the tiding chicks. Then she wrote to
- 25:26Speaker 1: the church they bounced the last year, all right, she
- 25:30Speaker 1: say that's the old huh and she shouldn't be held accountable.
- 25:33Speaker 1: She bound seventeen check last year. But what, Well, we're
- 25:37Speaker 1: gonna have to write that off and allow her to
- 25:40Speaker 1: be the new you, and hopefully the new hub Or
- 25:44Speaker 1: will produce chicks with sufficient funds. We don't have the
- 25:48Speaker 1: manpower to run down this money from a person that
- 25:52Speaker 1: then wrote seventeen badge chicks. We just don't have a
- 25:56Speaker 1: church personnel ain't all right, So we're gonna let it go,
- 26:05Speaker 1: all right, if you want to, are you sure? I'm
- 26:11Speaker 1: almost positive I ain't all a thousand dollars. That's why
- 26:16Speaker 1: I asked you alone. It's twelve hundred and thirty two dollars.
- 26:22Speaker 1: It's the amount of checks. Oh well, just keep record
- 26:26Speaker 1: over there. If we start coming up short, we'll start
- 26:28Speaker 1: running inquiries. All right. We're gonna do all right. Sister
- 26:35Speaker 1: Clara the cat Lady, is complaining that the Bereavement Ministry
- 26:39Speaker 1: has not sent her a card for the passing of
- 26:42Speaker 1: her last two family members, Mister Whiskers and Lady Kitty.
- 26:45Speaker 1: She said the pets are her family too, and she
- 26:48Speaker 1: wants the Bereavement Ministry to recognize we don't do or
- 26:54Speaker 1: dead pitch just he saved. We are short of personnel
- 27:04Speaker 1: we got. We ain't got enough people to go around
- 27:06Speaker 1: to visit the sick and shut in people. We're sure
- 27:10Speaker 1: ain't got enough to be sending cards out for catch. Now,
- 27:16Speaker 1: if a cat got nine lies, let's sit around and wait.
- 27:19Speaker 1: They might come back, all right, Pastor, one of our
- 27:27Speaker 1: deaf members, brother Sherman Lattimo, keep signing the if you
- 27:32Speaker 1: signed doing doing your salmon, and the Deaf Ministry is
- 27:35Speaker 1: upset about it and wants you to pick somebody else
- 27:37Speaker 1: to do the job. I don't know why he keeps
- 27:42Speaker 1: doing that. You know, that goes back to an old
- 27:45Speaker 1: thing between me and Deacon Or. I stole one of
- 27:49Speaker 1: his girlfriends or years ago, you know, because I had
- 27:55Speaker 1: more game than he he got. He here, he can't
- 27:57Speaker 1: talk to me. I ended up sweet talking hood and
- 28:02Speaker 1: he couldn't trade. That's what happened. But I was forgiving
- 28:05Speaker 1: for that, you know, I know what it is. I
- 28:07Speaker 1: didn't let them know of work about. I got several
- 28:09Speaker 1: fingers from Digon over years. I was just trying to
- 28:12Speaker 1: pay it off because I knew what it fault. I know,
- 28:14Speaker 1: I knew exactly what it fault. And I ain't really
- 28:16Speaker 1: mad at him because I understand he told me that
- 28:19Speaker 1: the whole time we meet me at one time. It
- 28:22Speaker 1: actually words almost came out at male. He was, oh, man,
- 28:27Speaker 1: all right, let's say it. All right, I knew, don't
- 28:32Speaker 1: get mad called it the death ministry. Can't hear him.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Don't worry about it him. See that ain't necessarily I
- 28:37Speaker 1: know what he was trying to say, that he goes
- 28:39Speaker 1: back to the pastor for church complaints. At the top
- 28:48Speaker 1: of the hour, Entertainment and national news right after this.
- 28:52Speaker 1: You're listening, all right. Today is the world premiere of
- 29:00Speaker 1: Steve Harvey's brand new talk show. It's called Steve on
- 29:03Speaker 1: Watch on Facebook. Steve is gonna give us this take, Yes, Steve,
- 29:08Speaker 1: why don't you you explain what it's gonna be. Well,
- 29:11Speaker 1: you know, it's just a show, people are first of all,
- 29:15Speaker 1: it's not just a show. Well, first of all, it's
- 29:18Speaker 1: the first deal of the of its nature that Facebook
- 29:22Speaker 1: has cut Facebook Watch as an unprecedented deal. They've never
- 29:26Speaker 1: done a deal like this. I was the first. God
- 29:29Speaker 1: has always been good to me in that regard. It's
- 29:33Speaker 1: a blessing, you know. Um, it's a it's a really
- 29:36Speaker 1: smartly done show. And since it's on Facebook, this is
- 29:39Speaker 1: the way it works. It's a new episode every day.
- 29:43Speaker 1: The episodes are extremely short. It's not like the full
- 29:46Speaker 1: TV show where you sit there. So all we do
- 29:50Speaker 1: is create moments, show moments, and that's all we are
- 29:55Speaker 1: are the highlights of the shows, highlights and moments. That's it.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Tune in tomorrow, new highlights, new show. None of that
- 30:04Speaker 1: stuff I used to do, Steve side deal, Um, what
- 30:08Speaker 1: would you do for you know? One hundred? The monologue,
- 30:13Speaker 1: the people I didn't know. The only celebrities that I
- 30:16Speaker 1: interview on this show are people I request and know.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Those are the only interviews I do. I don't interview
- 30:23Speaker 1: anybody I don't know, so I'm doing it. I did
- 30:27Speaker 1: a lot of motivational people. I did uh Mark Cuban,
- 30:30Speaker 1: I've done crazy Man Mark Cuban, Terry Brash, I did
- 30:34Speaker 1: Rick Ross. I did the dudes A quality control that
- 30:38Speaker 1: control their megals and CARDI b their management team megs
- 30:46Speaker 1: and what I call them because I think it's more
- 30:50Speaker 1: inclusive of everybody. And I was against them calling themselves
- 30:53Speaker 1: me goals when they should have been a mego there
- 30:56Speaker 1: before you fixing phone? Yeah, I'm fixing it phone. So
- 30:59Speaker 1: when I Steve say this is to me, and then
- 31:02Speaker 1: when black people say to get me go. You know,
- 31:05Speaker 1: my kid has been trying to tell me that the
- 31:07Speaker 1: whole time that was on show. It's the dad. It's
- 31:10Speaker 1: it's meant yeah what I said. But they anyway, So
- 31:18Speaker 1: I'm coming. Then you're going to see some really really
- 31:20Speaker 1: good guests. And then the advice is what I've focused
- 31:24Speaker 1: on here, just a lot of great advice and stuff
- 31:27Speaker 1: like that. So now I'm back. God is good and
- 31:31Speaker 1: I'll tell you all off to add their particulars of it.
- 31:33Speaker 1: All right, Steve on watch on State's book check it
- 31:36Speaker 1: out tomorrow. Congratulations in order for you again, Steve, the
- 31:41Speaker 1: blessings just keep on coming, yes, because God is in
- 31:50Speaker 1: control what someone does for you that's intent for harm
- 31:55Speaker 1: and no good. They have no idea how God makes
- 31:58Speaker 1: it works in his plan. And if and if I
- 32:00Speaker 1: had not, if I had still been on regular TV
- 32:04Speaker 1: as it was, the opportunities that's in my in front
- 32:07Speaker 1: of me today would not even have a chance to exist.
- 32:10Speaker 1: So I learned a very very valuable lesson in this.
- 32:13Speaker 1: When the door closes, walk up the hall, walking up
- 32:17Speaker 1: the hall, because trusts me, as long as you have faith,
- 32:22Speaker 1: that are more doors. Ain't one little rotary door and
- 32:26Speaker 1: you keep going around around and shook around. Get out
- 32:28Speaker 1: of that. Yeah, you know, thanks Jay, but that's what happened.
- 32:34Speaker 1: If you got your faith in man, if you got
- 32:37Speaker 1: your faith in man, that's what happened. You keep thinking,
- 32:40Speaker 1: ain't no out like he had a hotel though at
- 32:43Speaker 1: the end, the libby somewhere, you know, just keep going around.
- 32:47Speaker 1: Yeah he don't. He just he just talking ahead and
- 32:50Speaker 1: not talking about that. You're breaking it down. Yeah all right,
- 32:56Speaker 1: you got him on the phone. Time to get caught
- 32:59Speaker 1: up on today's headline, Steve let's goss. Okay, good morning,
- 33:08Speaker 1: good morning everybody, and nice to speak to you guys,
- 33:11Speaker 1: New year. Okay, this is entreput the news. Iraq's parliament,
- 33:13Speaker 1: let's get to the seriousness, has voted to expel the
- 33:16Speaker 1: US military forces in his country. That vote, of course,
- 33:19Speaker 1: following the Trump Administration's drone strike and Baghdad on Friday
- 33:23Speaker 1: that killed Iran's top military and intelligence commander, Cassim Solomani
- 33:27Speaker 1: as well as a senior Iraqi paramilitary leader. Now, General
- 33:31Speaker 1: Solimani's daughter says she wants her father's death avenge. Iraqi
- 33:35Speaker 1: Prime Minister Dahala Doumadi said that the president. President Trump
- 33:38Speaker 1: had called him and asked for his help in mediating
- 33:40Speaker 1: with Iran after the US embassy in Iran was attacked
- 33:44Speaker 1: by Irani and back militias. But then he says, the
- 33:47Speaker 1: Trump administration launched a deadly drone attack. President Trump says
- 33:50Speaker 1: he ordered the strike because the general was planning an
- 33:53Speaker 1: attack on US diplomats and personnel. Trump supporters field he
- 33:56Speaker 1: did what he had to do. Trump tweets that if
- 33:59Speaker 1: Iran strikes Americans or American assets, that the administrations targeted
- 34:04Speaker 1: fifty to Iranian cites, some very important to Persian and
- 34:07Speaker 1: Iraqi culture. However, critics say that action would violate the
- 34:11Speaker 1: Warpowers Act and otherwise be an act of war. Lebanon's
- 34:14Speaker 1: his bellow leader, Hassan Nasrallah, meanwhile claiming that the president
- 34:19Speaker 1: has ordered the strike to suit his own needs. Nzrala,
- 34:22Speaker 1: an ally of the Persian and government, insists that Trump
- 34:26Speaker 1: ordered the hit to boost his reelection bid. Trump critics
- 34:29Speaker 1: point out that private citizen Trump once accused his predecessor,
- 34:33Speaker 1: to Barack Obama on NBC of the very same thing.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I believe that he will attack Iran sometime prior to
- 34:40Speaker 1: the election because he thinks that's the only way he
- 34:43Speaker 1: can get elected, Isn't it pathetic? However, Trump is defending
- 34:47Speaker 1: his actions in the Middle East. Now, young people are
- 34:49Speaker 1: wondering on social media if they might be drafted if
- 34:52Speaker 1: the current situation turns into a full fledged war. The
- 34:55Speaker 1: term warld war three has been trending a lot. The
- 34:58Speaker 1: website for the Selective Services crash the other day because
- 35:01Speaker 1: of the extremely high traffic volume. So here's the fact.
- 35:04Speaker 1: The US has no actual draft folks. Okay, young men
- 35:07Speaker 1: between the ages of eighteen and twenty five or asked
- 35:09Speaker 1: to sign up, but they were first drafted for the
- 35:12Speaker 1: Civil War. It was used since like the Vietnam up
- 35:14Speaker 1: until the Vietnam War, but there has been no military
- 35:17Speaker 1: draft since nineteen seventy three. It was officially abolished. Modern
- 35:20Speaker 1: day US military is all volunteer. To change that, the
- 35:23Speaker 1: Congress would have to pass a law and the President
- 35:26Speaker 1: would have to sign it. At the movie Star Wars
- 35:29Speaker 1: The Rise of Skywalker top the box office for the
- 35:31Speaker 1: third weekend in a row, earning close to one billion
- 35:33Speaker 1: dollars in the international box office, and Powers Back, and
- 35:36Speaker 1: of course the big big thing with Power was who
- 35:39Speaker 1: shot Ghost? Now Back? To the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 35:42Speaker 1: You're listening to show, guys, don't forget. We still want
- 35:47Speaker 1: to keep our soldiers in prayer. As we know, more
- 35:50Speaker 1: US troops are being deployed to the Middle East after
- 35:53Speaker 1: threats from the Iranian government of harsh revenge for the
- 35:57Speaker 1: killing of Iranian commander Cassem Solomoni. Uh. There is a
- 36:02Speaker 1: viral video of a soldier on social media asking people
- 36:06Speaker 1: of his generation for prayers and to try to stop
- 36:09Speaker 1: posting jokes, jokes and memes about this potential war. Take
- 36:13Speaker 1: a listen, hey man, we understand that I'm in a
- 36:18Speaker 1: generation or what I'm saying, Yeah, ain't on a lot
- 36:21Speaker 1: a lot of y'all post hilarious or whatever, which I
- 36:24Speaker 1: gotta understand, man, somebody like me had been a hat
- 36:27Speaker 1: this November in the middle of it. I mean, y'all
- 36:31Speaker 1: then postal memes and stuff. Y'all can sit there and
- 36:34Speaker 1: post a good little meeting about being positive for us.
- 36:37Speaker 1: So down praying for us. Some man come over like
- 36:40Speaker 1: my generation gouts tightened up sometime. It's like we're really
- 36:43Speaker 1: going through this and a lot of us we're really
- 36:45Speaker 1: not coming back. So like a prayer or a simple
- 36:49Speaker 1: good look help. I mean, y'all, y'all can post it
- 36:52Speaker 1: to your feeling. You know, you gotta be something funny. Aboudy,
- 36:55Speaker 1: I said a fourth brand, so to come out of him. Man, hey, many,
- 36:59Speaker 1: I salute your man. I'm here for ya. Yeah. See
- 37:05Speaker 1: that's somebody that's really in it. You know that centipendy going.
- 37:09Speaker 1: But that's social media. You know, there's such a playground
- 37:12Speaker 1: for simplicity and the devil that there are. What he's
- 37:15Speaker 1: requesting is just some positivity to go out about it.
- 37:18Speaker 1: It's people are This is real life for these people,
- 37:21Speaker 1: these soldiers man are facing a real life and death
- 37:24Speaker 1: situation here. This would be war. This is not a game.
- 37:28Speaker 1: People die in war, like that bro said, some people.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Some people ain't coming back home. Man, this is real, man.
- 37:34Speaker 1: We'll stop all this joking in playing about this man,
- 37:37Speaker 1: because this is real for these young people over here.
- 37:39Speaker 1: This is real for all these people. This is real
- 37:40Speaker 1: for the families. Does left. We need the president to
- 37:43Speaker 1: take the same damn attitude and be a little more
- 37:46Speaker 1: lightening in his approach of talking to foreign countries, because
- 37:49Speaker 1: you know something they just don't. That's exactly right. But
- 37:54Speaker 1: what we're doing is we're asking a man to act
- 37:57Speaker 1: presidential who doesn't know how, has no idea that clue left.
- 38:03Speaker 1: But I'm really afraid for that situation because his reaction
- 38:08Speaker 1: could be quite adverse to that, as it is to
- 38:12Speaker 1: a simple if you just talk about him on Saturday
- 38:14Speaker 1: Night Live. Now, you can't come put a bounty on
- 38:18Speaker 1: our president's head. That can't happen. But when you do it,
- 38:22Speaker 1: I'm very afraid afraid for our military or what the
- 38:26Speaker 1: response could be. Yeah, we want to say thank you
- 38:29Speaker 1: to all of the military branches for your service. Thank you,
- 38:32Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. We are praying for you. Let's
- 38:35Speaker 1: pray for peace. Yes, yes, there we go peace. Yeah.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty four after the hour, guys, j
- 38:43Speaker 1: Anthony Brown, we'll switch gears here and tell us what
- 38:48Speaker 1: you say you're gonna do for the new year versus
- 38:50Speaker 1: what you're really gonna do for the new year. All right,
- 38:54Speaker 1: we'll get into that when we get back right after this.
- 38:57Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, Steve your man your
- 39:03Speaker 1: boy in nineteen eighty six, as you told us earlier, Jay,
- 39:12Speaker 1: and you're not staying here though, Junior and Tommy, all
- 39:17Speaker 1: you guys are here for what you say, what you
- 39:20Speaker 1: say you're gonna do. You tell them Jay, what you
- 39:22Speaker 1: say you're gonna You know everybody roped running about this time.
- 39:25Speaker 1: People make plans or I'm gonna do this. It's gonna
- 39:27Speaker 1: be a new year. I'm gonna start off friends. Yeah,
- 39:30Speaker 1: but I got it right here. What you say you're
- 39:31Speaker 1: gonna do and what you're really gonna do. Now, you
- 39:35Speaker 1: say you're gonna go to the gym and work out,
- 39:38Speaker 1: but what you're gonna do is joining membership, go one
- 39:41Speaker 1: day with your big ass and then you're gonna complain
- 39:43Speaker 1: that jins is nasty and you ain't going back. That's
- 39:47Speaker 1: what you don't do. That's what you're really gonna do.
- 39:48Speaker 1: That what you really don't do. You saying you're gonna
- 39:51Speaker 1: save some money this year, that's what you say you
- 39:54Speaker 1: gonna do. I'm saving money saving You didn't save about
- 39:58Speaker 1: five hundred as soon as that seal come around. It's all.
- 40:04Speaker 1: That's what you say you're gonna do. But what you're
- 40:06Speaker 1: really gonna do. You say you're gonna be nicer to
- 40:09Speaker 1: your mother in law. You're gonna call on the phone
- 40:12Speaker 1: trying to be nice. You're gonna figure about three minutes
- 40:15Speaker 1: into this damn conversation. It ain't worth talking to her
- 40:18Speaker 1: ass at all. That's what you say you're gonna do
- 40:24Speaker 1: and what you're gonna do, ladies, you said everywhad I'm
- 40:27Speaker 1: getting rid of him. He's useless, he ain't no good,
- 40:31Speaker 1: he ain't doing n but taking me down. And I'm
- 40:33Speaker 1: gonna be about me this hit. But what you're gonna
- 40:36Speaker 1: do is let him hit it one more time and
- 40:38Speaker 1: then you're gonna break it down. That's what I wasn't
- 40:44Speaker 1: expecting that you donna let you gonna let it get
- 40:49Speaker 1: it one? What you gonna do that? What you're really
- 40:54Speaker 1: gonna do? You say, I'm gonna stop smoking that stuff.
- 40:58Speaker 1: I ain't smoking no, because it ain't good for you.
- 41:02Speaker 1: But you canna look at that big dash you got
- 41:04Speaker 1: of this When I got to clean that up, I
- 41:06Speaker 1: got to get rid of all of that. Yeah, he's
- 41:09Speaker 1: letting that go the way. Jay, I got one. You
- 41:12Speaker 1: got one. Let me here. You don't do and what
- 41:15Speaker 1: you do you make your New Year's resolution that you
- 41:19Speaker 1: ain't gonna cuss no more. You headed to your best friend.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Hey man, I ain't gonna custom more. He said, Well,
- 41:27Speaker 1: your fat ass should have said you was gonna lose
- 41:29Speaker 1: some weight instead, Man, you just right man, kiss my,
- 41:44Speaker 1: kiss Aney. That's what you're really gonna do. Herenney. Yeah,
- 41:49Speaker 1: that's a resolution. As soon he said some about your weight,
- 41:56Speaker 1: do some way. What you can do is kiss my
- 41:59Speaker 1: you know what? Right right off? Black As Yeah, now
- 42:02Speaker 1: that's go. Oh you say you're gonna spend more time
- 42:07Speaker 1: with your grandkids because you love him, you don't get
- 42:09Speaker 1: to see him much. They're gonna come over that one day.
- 42:12Speaker 1: You're gonna figure out it's just better to sit in there,
- 42:15Speaker 1: ass five dollars in a card and call it a damn.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I don't need him over here at all, but not
- 42:26Speaker 1: least you say I'm gonna read the Bible more, come
- 42:29Speaker 1: over the God because I need him in my life.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Figure out, Joel Osteen, come on in the morning, and
- 42:39Speaker 1: I got this. I got to read a damn. That's
- 42:46Speaker 1: what my gonna do. And what you're gonna do that? Jay,
- 42:59Speaker 1: how about this? You got one? You got one. I
- 43:01Speaker 1: ain't eating pork no more. I gave it up park
- 43:05Speaker 1: every year. I'm giving it up right after first. I
- 43:07Speaker 1: ain't gonnead of January first, sausage bacon all on the
- 43:14Speaker 1: same plate with eggs. Gris. You weren't gonna give up
- 43:17Speaker 1: no pork. That's what you're really gonna do with You
- 43:24Speaker 1: decided that you gonna pay your ties this year. I'm
- 43:28Speaker 1: paying all my tiesh this year. Next Sunday passed to
- 43:31Speaker 1: pull up in the new ride. I'm not helping him
- 43:34Speaker 1: make payments on news still, that's what I'm not. Oh
- 43:39Speaker 1: hell no, I'm not getting all right, guys, thank you
- 43:46Speaker 1: so much. Coming up next the nephew in the building
- 43:49Speaker 1: with the frank phone call for it today. Right after
- 43:52Speaker 1: this you're listening show coming up at the top of
- 43:58Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after it's today's strawberry letter.
- 44:02Speaker 1: I got a good one for you. The subject is
- 44:04Speaker 1: new Year, New Life, New Year, New Life. But right now,
- 44:10Speaker 1: nephew in the building for the very first time in
- 44:13Speaker 1: twenty twenty eight with his brank phone call. What you
- 44:16Speaker 1: got now, new Year, new timing, twenty twenty brand spanking
- 44:22Speaker 1: new prank call. This is Johnson's freedom call. Johnson Freedom Call.
- 44:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it again, Johnson freedom call. Idiot. Let's
- 44:38Speaker 1: go okay, Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Franklin. Franklin
- 44:44Speaker 1: Johnson's Lee. Yeah, this is him, Franklin. How are you
- 44:48Speaker 1: doing today? My name is is Kyle Kyle Green. I'm
- 44:51Speaker 1: with the Immigration Department of the State of Tennessee. Uh yeah,
- 44:57Speaker 1: how could I help you? You were you were born
- 45:00Speaker 1: and raised in Tennessee? Am I correct? Ye? Moder raised
- 45:04Speaker 1: in Tennessee? Okay? Now do you do you still live
- 45:09Speaker 1: in the Tennessee area? Now are you in a different state?
- 45:13Speaker 1: I'm right in. That's still he is all I want
- 45:15Speaker 1: to say. I'm the only consons he's still here, living good. Okay,
- 45:20Speaker 1: all right, So here's what's going on. Um, it's been
- 45:23Speaker 1: brought to our attention here at the Immigration that anyone
- 45:27Speaker 1: in the State of Tennessee who has the last name
- 45:29Speaker 1: of Johnson. Um. And I don't even know how to
- 45:34Speaker 1: break this to you or tell this to you, but
- 45:36Speaker 1: it's it's been brought to our attention here at the
- 45:38Speaker 1: Immigration that anyone in the State of Tennessee last named
- 45:41Speaker 1: Johnson for some reason. And we're gonna fix the problem.
- 45:45Speaker 1: But for some reason they're saying no Johnsons are free,
- 45:50Speaker 1: you know, like there's claws or something and some paperwork
- 45:53Speaker 1: or whatever. But what we need is we need all
- 45:55Speaker 1: the Johnson's to come in by six, by six o'clock
- 45:59Speaker 1: to day so we can try to take care of
- 46:01Speaker 1: the problem. If not, if all Johnson's that are not
- 46:05Speaker 1: reported in by six, we have to get picked up.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I know this is a Joe like we even I
- 46:11Speaker 1: know this is Joe. Baby, I'm free. What are you
- 46:13Speaker 1: talking about? Like, well, you each other about you're talking
- 46:19Speaker 1: about the Johnsons ain't free? What do you what are
- 46:21Speaker 1: you talking about? This bumpy Johnson got for that. I
- 46:24Speaker 1: don't have anybody to check at Johnson's. Uh no, sorry,
- 46:28Speaker 1: this is this is a real This is all right.
- 46:31Speaker 1: I know this is crazy to get a phone call
- 46:34Speaker 1: like this, but like I said, and we got some
- 46:36Speaker 1: paperwork here. Everybody's scramming around trying to get to the
- 46:40Speaker 1: bottom of this. But bottom line is we need all
- 46:43Speaker 1: the Johnson's to come in because uh right right now
- 46:46Speaker 1: in the state of Tennessee, no person was the last
- 46:48Speaker 1: name of Johnson is free right now, and get the
- 46:51Speaker 1: fun out in. What are you talking about? What are
- 46:54Speaker 1: you talking about? Are you black? Yeah? I'm black, but yeah,
- 46:58Speaker 1: I'm Are you free? Yeah, I'm free? So what are
- 47:03Speaker 1: you talking about? Coming to me talking about the since
- 47:04Speaker 1: of my last name Johnsons. My family got to come
- 47:07Speaker 1: down to immigration because we ain't free. Who the hell
- 47:09Speaker 1: are you calling me talking about some crap like that? Man, Okay,
- 47:13Speaker 1: sure the problem, we're gonna fix the problem, but we
- 47:16Speaker 1: need all Johnsons to come in. We're gonna fix ahead
- 47:20Speaker 1: of the census or something. I'm sorry, are you the
- 47:25Speaker 1: head of the census? I know I'm not something like that. Like,
- 47:28Speaker 1: why are you calling me talking about Johnsons? You are
- 47:31Speaker 1: some uncle? Tim asked, pulling me talking about Johnsons that
- 47:34Speaker 1: we ain't free and we gotta come down and you're
- 47:37Speaker 1: threatening my family, this guy, I'm not. I'm sure I'm not.
- 47:41Speaker 1: I'm not sure. I'm not. I'm not threatening you all right?
- 47:44Speaker 1: Like I said, my name is Kyle Green, I'm with immigrations.
- 47:47Speaker 1: I'm just trying to fix the problem. You know than
- 47:50Speaker 1: me because your name is Green. So y'all sure, I'm
- 47:55Speaker 1: not saying I'm better than you because my last name
- 47:57Speaker 1: is Green. I'm saying we are you also saying that, Kyle,
- 48:01Speaker 1: mister Green, my name is Johnson. He come from a
- 48:04Speaker 1: long line of Johnson's, and don't let me have to
- 48:06Speaker 1: bumpy Johnson all you because you saw how he was
- 48:09Speaker 1: cutting off. So don't play with me. Okay, sure can
- 48:16Speaker 1: we h? I want to help you and I want
- 48:19Speaker 1: to help all the jobs. Okay, you ain't helping nobody
- 48:22Speaker 1: but yourself, mister Greene, Uncle Tom. I saw y'all life
- 48:26Speaker 1: in Django the house boy, I bet you when them
- 48:31Speaker 1: lights getting green eyed, terns hower looking more thinks a
- 48:35Speaker 1: good head, I'm glad o haapany, I got a wide
- 48:38Speaker 1: nose and I'm proud to be black. And they're gonna
- 48:40Speaker 1: have your life and ask for me, my friend, my
- 48:42Speaker 1: family down. Then you got some got nerves. It's all
- 48:46Speaker 1: this tabolism, amothers us. Okay, sure can I expect you
- 48:52Speaker 1: to come down the immigration? That's a Kyle sound like
- 48:55Speaker 1: a life's getting mother Kyle Green? That sound like h sir?
- 49:01Speaker 1: Can I get you to come down the immigration by now?
- 49:04Speaker 1: He said that had me come in. I'm gonna come
- 49:05Speaker 1: down here with my god old hold Bucky Johnsons. Are
- 49:08Speaker 1: we gonna turn it up? Okay? So is your wife
- 49:13Speaker 1: last name is Johnson? Too? Worry bubble, my wife's last
- 49:16Speaker 1: name is don't try to set huh? Okay? Is your
- 49:20Speaker 1: is your mother still living don't worry about my mama

- 49:29Speaker 1: getting bubble, Okay, okay, sir. All I know is that
- 49:34Speaker 1: you know we got you. We were trying to get
- 49:36Speaker 1: as many Johnsons has been good to come in. Tell me?
- 49:39Speaker 1: Tell me is the one that told us to call you? Okay, Franklin,
- 49:44Speaker 1: that's who told us to call you. Oh, Tommy said,
- 49:48Speaker 1: you probably want to call Franklin Johnson and get him
- 49:52Speaker 1: on the line because he you know a lot of
- 49:53Speaker 1: the other Johnson's, and you can get him all to

- 54:33Speaker 1: It is Strawberry Letter. Thank you enough you. Subject new life,
- 54:39Speaker 1: subject new Year, New Life question mark. Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 54:44Speaker 1: I am a twenty year I am a twenty nine
- 54:47Speaker 1: year old man and I've been married for seven years.
- 54:50Speaker 1: My wife and I have two young children. I have
- 54:52Speaker 1: cheated several times, but each time it was just for
- 54:56Speaker 1: a quick thrill. I started hanging out with a coworker
- 54:59Speaker 1: in Weary of twenty nineteen, and this was more than
- 55:03Speaker 1: a quick thrill. I started developing real feelings for her.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Shortly after we met, and I realized that she was
- 55:10Speaker 1: a woman I'd always dreamed of. She made me want
- 55:13Speaker 1: to be a better man, and I started eating healthier,
- 55:17Speaker 1: going to the gym, and I opened up to her emotionally.
- 55:21Speaker 1: She allowed me to completely express my feelings to her
- 55:24Speaker 1: without judgment. She showed me that it's okay for a
- 55:28Speaker 1: man to be vulnerable and to feel overwhelmed at times.
- 55:32Speaker 1: She brought a level of happiness to my life that
- 55:35Speaker 1: I never had before this time. I was cheating emotionally
- 55:39Speaker 1: because this woman and I had never had a sexual relationship.
- 55:43Speaker 1: I told her I wanted to be with her, and
- 55:46Speaker 1: she told me that if I ever left my wife,
- 55:49Speaker 1: I should do it because my marriage had truly run
- 55:52Speaker 1: its course, not because I wanted to be with her.
- 55:55Speaker 1: She suggested we take a break so I could focus
- 55:57Speaker 1: more on my family. Haven't seen her in six months
- 56:01Speaker 1: because she has moved across the country, but I think
- 56:05Speaker 1: about her every day. I constantly go back and forth
- 56:09Speaker 1: mentally about ending my marriage to pursue a relationship with
- 56:12Speaker 1: this woman. She made me a better man for my
- 56:15Speaker 1: wife and my family, but I just don't have the
- 56:18Speaker 1: same feelings for my wife. When I talk to the
- 56:21Speaker 1: other woman, I feel so alive and happy. She has
- 56:25Speaker 1: fallen in love with me too, but wants me to
- 56:27Speaker 1: do what's best for me and my family. There are
- 56:31Speaker 1: so many things to consider. It's a new year and
- 56:35Speaker 1: I could have a fresh new start. But would it
- 56:38Speaker 1: be selfish? Please help? Come on? You know everything about this.
- 56:44Speaker 1: What you're doing is wrong. You know that cheating for
- 56:46Speaker 1: a quick thrill or emotional cheating whatever. You're being disloyal
- 56:51Speaker 1: to your wife, to your family, to your two precious
- 56:54Speaker 1: young children. And guess what this is how affairs start
- 56:58Speaker 1: like this? Okay, make no mistake. What you're doing is
- 57:02Speaker 1: cheating for play. The only reason it's not going all
- 57:08Speaker 1: the way, or it hasn't gone all the way, I
- 57:09Speaker 1: should say, is it's not because you haven't tried her
- 57:13Speaker 1: because you don't want to. You say in the letter
- 57:16Speaker 1: that the lady says said no because she wants you
- 57:20Speaker 1: to focus on your family, and she moved across, but
- 57:23Speaker 1: she moved far, so you've tried it just hasn't worked
- 57:28Speaker 1: in your favor. That might not last because did you
- 57:33Speaker 1: say in the letter that she's in love with you too?
- 57:35Speaker 1: But she's still holding out, so hopefully she'll continue to
- 57:39Speaker 1: hold out because I agree with her. You need to
- 57:42Speaker 1: do what's best for your family. You're already doing what's
- 57:45Speaker 1: best for you. I disagree with her on that part.
- 57:48Speaker 1: You've been doing what's best for you and only you.
- 57:51Speaker 1: That's why I can't even believe you fix your pen
- 57:53Speaker 1: to write these words. Do you think I'm being selfish?
- 57:56Speaker 1: Is it selfish? You know you're being selfish. Look what
- 57:59Speaker 1: you've done. I mean, you know your wife doesn't know
- 58:02Speaker 1: about it. According to your letter, you haven't. You haven't
- 58:05Speaker 1: mentioned that she knows about it or anything. But I'm
- 58:07Speaker 1: sure you know she's feeling something. With all the changes
- 58:11Speaker 1: that you've done, going to the gym and eating healthier
- 58:15Speaker 1: and all that, your wife knows something. I mean, you're
- 58:17Speaker 1: wrong for putting your family through all of this. You
- 58:20Speaker 1: really are, and you need to get it together. If
- 58:23Speaker 1: you want this other woman, then do it the right way,
- 58:26Speaker 1: and that would be to divorce this woman if this
- 58:29Speaker 1: is who you truly want. But I think you should
- 58:32Speaker 1: concentrate on your family. And yes, I do think yourselfish.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Steve Well, surely understand what you're saying. I am going
- 58:44Speaker 1: to try to understand where he coming from, because I
- 58:49Speaker 1: think I understand where he's coming from. Twenty nine, been
- 58:53Speaker 1: married seven years, two young children. You know, when you
- 58:58Speaker 1: get married that young man who it's so much that
- 59:01Speaker 1: you didn't missed out on, it's kind of hard not
- 59:04Speaker 1: to try to get it back. It just it's difficult
- 59:07Speaker 1: in real life. And now he says he didn't cheat
- 59:10Speaker 1: it several times on his wife and everything, but now
- 59:16Speaker 1: he got this co worker and it's different. And he
- 59:20Speaker 1: just started developing real feelings for this girl and realized
- 59:25Speaker 1: that she was the woman that I'd always dreamed of.
- 59:28Speaker 1: See that as the problem we got Sherley. And then
- 59:32Speaker 1: he says, she made me want to be a better man.
- 59:35Speaker 1: And I started eating healthier going to the jail and
- 59:38Speaker 1: opened up to her emotionally. Dog, what that's what? See
- 59:41Speaker 1: me a little bit? You should have been eating right?
- 59:45Speaker 1: All right, Steve, we're gonna have part two of your
- 59:47Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three minutes after be our
- 59:50Speaker 1: subject of today's Strawberry Letter, New Year, New Life question mark.
- 59:54Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's Strawberry letters
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: subject New Year, New life. Well, the only recap is
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: we got this twenty nine year old man that's been
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: married seven years, got a wife for two kids. He
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: didn't cheated on her before, but this time he got
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: a co worker in February twenty nineteen and its molding
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: just a quick thrill. Now they haven't even had sex,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: but they didn't met each other, and he realized that
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: she's making him a better man, got him eating right,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: going to the gym, you know, and he's opened up
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: to her emotionally. And then the woman he says that
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: he completely she allowed me to completely express my feelings
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: to her without judgment. See, when you're in a relationship,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: you got in early. You've been married seven years. You
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: got married when he was twenty two, so you missed
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: out a lot of stuff in life. That's what happens
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: to young people when they get married or when they
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: get into a committed relationship. They miss out on so
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: much that they wind up to date. They try to
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: go back and recaptured. And that's what didn't happen to you.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: So you'd had some as you shouldn't have had, and
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: now you got another one. But now this woman a
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: little bit different, got you thinking this is the woman
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: of your dreams. Right then he says, she bought a
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: level of happiness to my life that I never had before. God. Dog, Now, Shirley,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: I know you don't like this, but boy, that people
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: listening to this going, oh God, I know that feeling
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: that you've never had before, a level of happiness. And
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: this time he's cheating with this woman emotionally because the
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: woman and I have never had a sexual relationship. But
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: he won't too though. I told her I wanted to
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: be with her, and she told me if I ever
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: left my wife, I should do it because my marriage
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: had truly run his course, not because I wanted to
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: be with her. Did you hear that advice right there?
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: She told him, let's take a break so you can
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: focus on my family. I ain't seen him for six
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: months because she's moved across the country. I think about
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: it every day, go back and forthmitting it about ending
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: my marriage to pursue a relationship with this woman. The
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: woman just told you, don't end your marriage. End your
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: marriage because it's run his course. Don't end your marriage
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: to be with me. The woman don't want that. She
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: kind of a smart girl, she ain't had sex with him.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: She know he's a good guy, but she's really trying
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: to help his family out. She keeps giving him advice
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: to make him a better husband, better family, because then
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: he turns around it. He says, she made me a
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: better man for my wife and my family. Well, see, brother,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: that was the purpose of meeting her, that was the purpose.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: You can't have everything now. Maybe her meeting you was
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: to bring you into a light about yourself, to make
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: you a better man for your wife and your family.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: But now you don't have the same feelings for your wife.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: And when I talk to another woman, I feel so
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: alive and happy. Now you say she didn't fell in
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: love with you too, but want me to do what's
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: best for me and my family. She trying to keep
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: you at bay Dog. You're taking the gift that she
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: gave you of being with your family and your wife,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: and you don't want that. You won't hurt. But she
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: just told you, don't leave me, don't leave your wife
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: for me, leave your family because it has run its course,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: and bro you because you won't hurt you trying to
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: make it run its course. Now you're talking about this
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: two twenty twenty twenty, New year, and all is here,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: so many things to consider. It's a new year, and

- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Please help? Okay, listen to the statement. You may you
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: could get a fresh start. What your kids gonna do
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: for fresh starts? What's your wife gonna do for a
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: fresh start? She the only one getting a fresh start
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: is you? So yes it isself And yes, you have
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: to do a lot of things in life that you
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: don't want to now. Dog, you could leave your wife
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: and your kids for this other woman. But you're gonna
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: pay for that. Oh, you're gonna pay for that. You're
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: gonna pay dearly for that, little brother, and you're only
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: twenty nine. Listen to me. You're gonna pay for that.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: So now, if you want to pay for it, go ahead.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: But you ain't gonna believe the price because it's high.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: The problem with seeing, like I've always said, it costs
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: you more than you want to pay and make you
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: stay longer than you want to stay. The payment for
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: said it just it's just Jesus, father God. Hell, I've
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: been alive six decades. All of them ain't been wonderful.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: So I have enough experience to tell you, partner, don't
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: mess up a whole damn decade. Yeah, I've messed up
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: some decade, partner. Yeah, a bad decade is a long time.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: It's a long time. I've had six of them, and
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: I've messed up a couple of decades. Listen to me,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: it's a long time, man, that's twenty years. Stay home,

- 1:12:51Speaker 1: team that had the best looking uniforms, and that would
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: be the forty nine Ers. To me, they have been
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: my favorite. They have been my favorite uniform him the

- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Yeah that was offensive passed interference and that should have
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: got overturned. What about that? How about that? What about? Yeah?
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: What about what's Tasha doing right now? Carl? Well, he

- 1:13:30Speaker 1: come down to Valentine. Some type of bright light in him.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: I can't do anything right now. He couldn't even get
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: a yeah, give a damn about that Christmas tree? Right,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: and Steve and y'all know this is coming off last
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: year when the Rams, you know, another bad call. Yeah, yeah, No, seriously, man,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: it is another bad call. It's really too bad, man,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: because it's been three crazy things happened in the row,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: the touchdown with Minnesota, then that ridiculous call last year,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: and this was another bad call, man, and they have
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: the right to overturn it. But if you look at that, man,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry that guy pushed off. Clearly he pushed off,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: head went back. I mean, man, it stopped him from jumping.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: You gotta overturn that. All right. We'll have more of
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: the Morning Show coming up twenty minutes after the hour

- 1:15:10Speaker 1: I remember they brewed him. Yeah yeah, yeah, he thought
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: because that was in Alabama, it's gonna be cool. He
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: don't know football, he know golf, he don't know football.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: And they lost that game too, and they asked him
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: not to come back. It was a bad luck charm
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: for them. Behind down no more. But don't he have
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: something to do besides go to that game? He started
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: a fight the world, you know. Yeah, he never had
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: a fight in his life. He don't turn your back
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: on your anybody. He never been in the service at all,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, No, that's right. I don't like war.

- 1:15:52Speaker 1: what he done, well, you know, when you go to
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: the un until everybody to kiss you behind. You're not
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: going to expect people to support you when you get
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: into trouble. So they're just but they can give it him.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: But his supporters, his constituents, they are with him no

- 1:18:13Speaker 1: well I call them because I think it's more inclusive

- 1:20:03Speaker 1: we don't need to go with us again. You know,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: playoffs make us go over this again. Man, you ain't
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: going because that's his sole purpose for living. He said,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: he's not really into football. Before we get to Steve's
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: closing remarks, we got to give a shout out to
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: the great, the legend Eddie Murphy for the great job
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: that he did on Saturday night when Yeah, we gotta
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: wonderful good memories. Great dummy, I love but where I
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: was really mister Robinson's neighborhood. I loved yea velvet Joe times. Yeah,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: the beginning when all the boys came out, that was
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: really good. You look at at Netflix's budget right here.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: I'm ready, okay, all right, Steve, congratulations. You know, uh,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: this is a new year, this is a new decade,
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: and I think for all of us, we get at
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: this point of these new years and we started making
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: what we call resolutions, and we start talking about the
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: year to come. But this year right in here can
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: be quite different for you. It really cared if you
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: make just a small a few tweaks into your mental
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: approach to twenty twenty, you can, if you haven't already,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: you can begin to live the life of your dreams.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: You can at least get pointed in that right direction
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: that is available to all of us. Because all of
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: us have the power of choice. You get to decide.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: So let's talk about a couple of things. First of all,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: when you get a new year, a new decade, a
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: new opportunity, it's filled with hope. Man, this is gonna
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: be my year. How many of us have said that already? Man,
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: this is gonna be my year, which is the way
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: to look at it. Then you look at the promise
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: of a new year. Man, this is the year when
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: things are gonna turn around. I'm gonna get it together.
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: Then you look at this year with anticipation. Man, I'm
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: really looking forward to going at this this way. Man,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: this is gonna be great the anticipation. But here's two
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: things that you need to adjust. I'm gonna give you
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: two quick things that you have to do that can
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: change the outcome in twenty twenty. First of all, instead
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: of hoping, instead of anticipating, instead of wishing, instead of
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: sitting there dreaming, I want you to do nothing wrong
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: with any of those, but I want you to think
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: of one more thing to add to this commitment. Twenty
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: twenty can be different. If you commit to it commitment,
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: you're all in, all your vested interests, one hundred and
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: ten percent effort, sticktuitiveness, determination, commitment. You have got to
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: be committed. The second piece that I want to give
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: you is this piece right here. Instead of hoping looking
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: for them, sitting in just anticipation, change that slightly and
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: live your life after you commit to whatever it is
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: you want, Live your life in expectation. Go into twenty
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: twenty committed to the things you want to do, and
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: I mean commitment. When you commit to something that means
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: you all in. When you commit to something you mean
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: that is no option, It has to happen. Get committed.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: And after you commit to whatever it is you want,
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: here is the thing. Live your life in expectation of
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: those things. So once you commit, now, let me explain
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: something a little bit about commitment. Commitment comes along with
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: some things. Commitment comes along with faith. Commitment comes along
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: with a work ethic that's really really hard to to
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: to even stop. See when you when you have work ethic,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: you want people to go, oh my God, this guy's
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: really determined here, and you know why because he's committed.
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: Oh my god, this person has a lot of faith
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: in this ideas that he's working on. That's his commitment.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: His faith is his commitment, and his worth work ethic
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: is his commitment faith to what out works is dead.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: Those two things put into the commitment equation is what
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: commitment is. Commitment is faith and commitment is work ethic.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: You need the two of those. You have to have
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: the two of those. You can't just hope and live
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: in anticipation and promise in dreams. You got to put
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: some faith in work behind it. That's the commitment you
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: need for twenty twenty. And after you commit to it,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: fully commit to it all in in twenty twenty mass
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: of effort to guess what you got to live your
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: life in expectation. I expect this to happen. Anything else
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: is unacceptable. As long as it's within the will of God.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: You cannot miss. You cannot miss. I'm telling you commitment
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: and expectation. Add those two things to whatever your resolution is,
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: whatever your hopes, aspirations, dreams, or promises of for twenty twenty,
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: add commitment and expectation you change the game. You change
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: the game. Those are my closing remarks to day. Let's
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: go get it in twenty twenty, y'ard, this will be
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: the greatest year of your life if you commit to
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: it and live your life in expectation. We'll see you tomorrow.
