- 1:59Speaker 1: at it? Uh, come on and everybody you're listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, come on dig and na one and only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. I have something and
- 2:14Speaker 1: it's so describes how I was living. It's so captures
- 2:21Speaker 1: the feelings that I had about beginning on the pathway
- 2:26Speaker 1: of my dreams. It's so describes how I felt when
- 2:32Speaker 1: I was about to attempt something. And I have some
- 2:35Speaker 1: striking news for you. It describes often how I feel
- 2:40Speaker 1: still today to a degree. So let me tell you
- 2:43Speaker 1: what that is. And I know what's happened to a
- 2:45Speaker 1: lot of people. Here's an analogy that I um, I've
- 2:52Speaker 1: heard a couple of different ways, but I've kind of,
- 2:56Speaker 1: you know, fixed it around to where I can, uh,
- 3:00Speaker 1: didn't it better? And I think it fits my personality
- 3:03Speaker 1: to describe it to people best this way. You know
- 3:08Speaker 1: I was I was talking. I've talked often about the
- 3:10Speaker 1: urgency of doing something with your life, of of getting
- 3:17Speaker 1: started today, of stopping the procrastination and putting it off,
- 3:21Speaker 1: and waiting on all your ducks to line up in
- 3:24Speaker 1: a row, and waiting until the stars aligned themselves. If
- 3:28Speaker 1: if you ain't on such a thing, you're you're You're
- 3:30Speaker 1: never gonna get started. I don't really I don't know
- 3:34Speaker 1: too many people who can say that all the ducks
- 3:37Speaker 1: just lined up in a row. Things happen. Things happen
- 3:42Speaker 1: even when you get them lined up. One of the
- 3:44Speaker 1: ducks get out of line, or somebody knock over the domino,
- 3:47Speaker 1: or something happens. But here's here's, here's here's Here's the
- 3:51Speaker 1: point I'm getting at. God has so many blessings available
- 4:00Speaker 1: to you, you who's listening. God has so many blessings
- 4:06Speaker 1: available to you from where you are right now. I
- 4:12Speaker 1: don't care what you've gotten yourself into or what you've done.
- 4:17Speaker 1: God has so many blessings that he can send your way.
- 4:23Speaker 1: But you have to do something. See a lot of
- 4:27Speaker 1: people just sit around and go man, I don't and
- 4:30Speaker 1: something always happening to you. You're always getting a break.
- 4:32Speaker 1: You're always doing this. You always do man, don't nothing
- 4:35Speaker 1: come my way. Listen to me. If nothing ever comes
- 4:39Speaker 1: your way. You know why that is. It's because you're
- 4:42Speaker 1: not doing anything. I promise you you're not. See. Here's
- 4:47Speaker 1: a deal. God has all these blessings he wants to
- 4:50Speaker 1: send you, but you got to give him something to
- 4:52Speaker 1: work with. Now, come on, you have to give God
- 4:57Speaker 1: something to work with. God will bless you. God can
- 5:02Speaker 1: touch people's hearts on your behalf. He can move situations
- 5:05Speaker 1: around for you. He can align the stars. He can
- 5:09Speaker 1: set the ducks up in the road. But align the
- 5:12Speaker 1: stars and move people around, and touch people's hearts and
- 5:15Speaker 1: set the ducks up in the road. For what based
- 5:18Speaker 1: on what have you put forth? Any effort? Have you
- 5:22Speaker 1: made a single step in any direction to do the
- 5:26Speaker 1: right thing or go the right way? That gives him
- 5:29Speaker 1: something to put his finger on. Come on, man, God
- 5:34Speaker 1: can only bless you according to your faith. If you
- 5:38Speaker 1: have a little bit of faith, give him that, let
- 5:40Speaker 1: him work with that. He can do that. You know, man,
- 5:44Speaker 1: I didn't always start with these speeches you're hear in
- 5:46Speaker 1: the morning. Now. I ain't always had these. I grew
- 5:49Speaker 1: to these. I stumbled my way to these. I messed
- 5:54Speaker 1: up my way to these. Here. I got it wrong
- 5:57Speaker 1: so many times to be able to sound like I
- 6:00Speaker 1: got some sense. I said it often. Failure is a
- 6:04Speaker 1: wonderful teacher. Do you know how many times I have
- 6:08Speaker 1: had to have failed to have what I have in
- 6:11Speaker 1: my head today. I'm telling you, man, it's a process.
- 6:16Speaker 1: People get mad at the process. You got to do
- 6:20Speaker 1: something to give God something to work with. He'll bless you.
- 6:24Speaker 1: But what you want me to bless if you ain't
- 6:26Speaker 1: putting forth any effort, any effort, if you just sit
- 6:31Speaker 1: down and start. I got a book coming out, I'm
- 6:33Speaker 1: telling you, man, that's going to really explain this thoroughly. Man,
- 6:37Speaker 1: where you can get blessed from whoever you are in
- 6:40Speaker 1: your life, wherever your starting point is, wherever you find
- 6:43Speaker 1: yourself wound up, you can get you can get it
- 6:47Speaker 1: back from. Now. I've done it, man, by the grace
- 6:50Speaker 1: of God, I've done it. I I got got over man.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I learned some things along the way. Because here's the deal.
- 6:56Speaker 1: As long as God keeps waking you up in the morning.
- 6:59Speaker 1: He with you. Yet when he's done, you're done. But
- 7:02Speaker 1: if God still has a plan for you you wake
- 7:04Speaker 1: up in the morning, He's still got some more work
- 7:07Speaker 1: for you to do. You wake up in the morning.
- 7:09Speaker 1: So if you keep waking up, man, it's something that
- 7:11Speaker 1: God wants from you, would love to have from you.
- 7:15Speaker 1: And he can work with you, man, if you just
- 7:17Speaker 1: walk towards him a little bit. So here's the deal.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I know it's hard for the average person to start
- 7:26Speaker 1: because the fear of the unknown is incredible. What if
- 7:29Speaker 1: I failed? What if I don't get picked? You know,
- 7:32Speaker 1: one of the hardest things I ever did was walking
- 7:34Speaker 1: in to quit my job. Oh man, let me tell
- 7:37Speaker 1: you about that day when I decided that I was
- 7:40Speaker 1: gonna be a full time comedian after winning an amateur
- 7:43Speaker 1: night one time, quitting your job, following your dream, going
- 7:50Speaker 1: forward despite all the nay says, it's like stepping off
- 7:54Speaker 1: a cliff. It's like actually just walking off the edge
- 7:58Speaker 1: of a cliff. Who being hoping now not really knowing,
- 8:03Speaker 1: but hoping, hoping is the bad basis of faith. I
- 8:10Speaker 1: stepped off that cliff hoping that my parachute would open
- 8:17Speaker 1: and allow me to drift down. See, I've never sky
- 8:21Speaker 1: dived before, but I would imagine part of the thrill.
- 8:24Speaker 1: And I don't know this because I'm not going to
- 8:26Speaker 1: sky dive to find out. I think part of the
- 8:29Speaker 1: thrill for people is the danger part of throwing yourself
- 8:34Speaker 1: out a plane and how it feels to be free falling,
- 8:38Speaker 1: but the whole time they're free falling, having this exhilarating,
- 8:41Speaker 1: over the top moment, you have got to believe in
- 8:45Speaker 1: your heart of hearts, you have got the hope with
- 8:48Speaker 1: everything in you that when you pull this cord the
- 8:52Speaker 1: shoot opens or else this ain't a good move at all.
- 8:56Speaker 1: But you've packed your shoote yourself. You've taken the essence.
- 9:00Speaker 1: So you go ahead and you make the leap. Now,
- 9:03Speaker 1: the only thing about quitting your job and following your
- 9:06Speaker 1: dream is you ain't really been trained all that good
- 9:09Speaker 1: for this, and you aren't really You didn't pack your shoot,
- 9:12Speaker 1: but you ain't never opened it before. So I walked
- 9:15Speaker 1: off this cliff, That's what it was like. And you
- 9:17Speaker 1: following your dream is like you're walking off a cliff. Now,
- 9:20Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Here's the part where people
- 9:24Speaker 1: don't never make the jump. They see somebody like myself
- 9:28Speaker 1: who jumped off the cliff and the and and the
- 9:30Speaker 1: passhute don't open right away, and I hit a couple
- 9:34Speaker 1: of rocks on the way down. I got my back
- 9:36Speaker 1: cut up pretty bad. I got my clothes ripped off.
- 9:40Speaker 1: They see that three years living in a car, man,
- 9:44Speaker 1: he got his life toe down jumping off that cliff.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I ain't jumping off that cliff. But see what you
- 9:49Speaker 1: don't understand is you don't you don't know it. But
- 9:53Speaker 1: eventually the shoot will open, and I'm at the parachute
- 9:57Speaker 1: opening part of my life, man, where the shoot and
- 10:01Speaker 1: open and I'm drifting and I'm able to go over
- 10:04Speaker 1: to Paris, guide my shoote over to Paris and glide.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I've I've glided over to Africa and seen what it
- 10:11Speaker 1: looked like. It's a slow ride down when the passhute
- 10:14Speaker 1: finally open or and my back then heel too, and
- 10:17Speaker 1: the cuts that I had on me, I remember now
- 10:20Speaker 1: I know how to stay away from the edge. But
- 10:22Speaker 1: the paraschute and opened, and I'm enjoying my life for
- 10:26Speaker 1: the first time. I'm gliding, but I got hit up
- 10:29Speaker 1: against the rock. I can see more. I get a
- 10:32Speaker 1: chance to see more things. I get to glide and
- 10:34Speaker 1: see more parts of the world. I'm living my dream.
- 10:38Speaker 1: The pass SHOOTE open. Your pass SHOOTE is going open.
- 10:41Speaker 1: But I'll tell you one thing for sure, it will
- 10:43Speaker 1: never open if you don't step off that cliff. You
- 10:46Speaker 1: got to step off that cliff, got to get the
- 10:48Speaker 1: pass SHOOTE open for you. But you got to jump. Baby.
- 10:51Speaker 1: That's the hard part, ain't it not? Question? Is endo
- 10:54Speaker 1: this story right here today when you're jumping show it
- 11:02Speaker 1: is gentlemen, bards and girls. This is the steepe hobby
- 11:09Speaker 1: mom beam shoot yep. This is really real radio from
- 11:16Speaker 1: back in the day, back for they had us on radio.

- 12:04Speaker 1: in my life outside of all well, uh, there's a
- 12:11Speaker 1: lady that works with me, Jennifer. She works to Sound.
- 12:15Speaker 1: She got her husband named Ira, and they called the
- 12:19Speaker 1: barbecue sauce genera. They need to change name of that.
- 12:23Speaker 1: But barbecue sauce, you know how black people. But let
- 12:28Speaker 1: me tell you something, man, the best day out of Chicago.

- 13:16Speaker 1: does that make it? What is that? How do you
- 13:18Speaker 1: know what eggs is? Okay? Jay, I didn't put some
- 13:20Speaker 1: eggs vegan. Sure you can't tell us. I'm just telling
- 13:25Speaker 1: you technically. What's the ends of the vegan and the vegetarian?
- 13:33Speaker 1: What's the difference? Yeah, and the animal product. Listen to me.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Here's what I'm mad about. Your own rules. I'm mad
- 13:43Speaker 1: about the whole egg thing because they want to put
- 13:47Speaker 1: eggs in the category or dairy and that's complete and

- 14:06Speaker 1: I don't. I don't. I've completely switched to milk is
- 14:12Speaker 1: not friendly to me. That's all I'm saying. We were kids,
- 14:18Speaker 1: how much milk we can do? Drank so much milk,
- 14:21Speaker 1: and then we get older land, I can't drink milk now,
- 14:23Speaker 1: we can't. I drank the milk with everything steal to
- 14:27Speaker 1: this station. No, no, no, no, no no. I don't
- 14:29Speaker 1: drink now. You know how I would sound if I

- 14:37Speaker 1: these mega millions at thirty two. After that's coming up.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 14:46Speaker 1: All right, Steve, Mega millions one point six billion dollar
- 14:49Speaker 1: jack pot is tonight. Let's pitch lets. Yeah, we should
- 14:57Speaker 1: do that as a group. Okay, all right, one that
- 15:05Speaker 1: can afford it. I can't afford it, but I want
- 15:07Speaker 1: my own money. I win. I wasn't gonna have if
- 15:10Speaker 1: y'all give me the money that buy the tickets. I'm down.
- 15:13Speaker 1: You're not don't see me. You're gonna be cussing, You're
- 15:15Speaker 1: gonna be upset. And that's just what's gonna happen. Okay,
- 15:21Speaker 1: who's gonna buy the tickets? And how much are we
- 15:23Speaker 1: gonna put in the pool? Well, Tommy said five hundred?
- 15:26Speaker 1: Is that too much? Let's do a hundred. A hundred dollars,
- 15:36Speaker 1: told you what you need a bunch of one tickets, bore.
- 15:39Speaker 1: But Steve told you yesterday that he tried to go
- 15:42Speaker 1: for over two hundred. And they were going to say
- 15:44Speaker 1: you when it's like big like this, they won't say
- 15:46Speaker 1: you a lot. You just gotta keep going a different place.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Ain't nobody got no time for that one hundred dollars?
- 15:53Speaker 1: One place. You don't want to put work in? Just
- 15:57Speaker 1: one hundred dollars tween all of them? No, no, each, Yeah,
- 16:07Speaker 1: because Jay's definitely not. No. I just said if I
- 16:10Speaker 1: get him, I'm gonna keep them. Okay, that's why you're
- 16:14Speaker 1: not in it. We don't see. Let me tell you
- 16:16Speaker 1: some family, If you still one point six billion from me,
- 16:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to try to kill let me tell
- 16:27Speaker 1: you if I get one point, how much the sillon
- 16:31Speaker 1: if you take the one up? So it's no, that
- 16:33Speaker 1: is enough money to make me a white man. And
- 16:36Speaker 1: you'll never find any trust there, enough operation, enough bleachoking
- 16:47Speaker 1: like Samy Sosia got that little haze alright. So before this,
- 16:55Speaker 1: the highest jack potter in US history was a powerball
- 16:58Speaker 1: drawing of one point eight six billion. That was back
- 17:02Speaker 1: in two thousand and sixteen. That was just a couple
- 17:05Speaker 1: of years ago. Yeah, mega millions. Tickets are sold in

- 17:11Speaker 1: And the US Virgin Islands. Tickets have six numbers, all
- 17:14Speaker 1: of which must be matched to win the jackpot. You
- 17:18Speaker 1: can choose your own six numbers or have them assigned
- 17:20Speaker 1: by choosing Quick Pick. Each number goes from one to seventy,
- 17:24Speaker 1: except for the final number, which ranges from one to five.
- 17:28Speaker 1: So we're gonna do this. Guy's a hundred dollars each,
- 17:35Speaker 1: Junior board, Yeah, jor you can you know it. I
- 17:50Speaker 1: only got one ticket. They made me made right. I

- 17:59Speaker 1: guy's upright, So Junior, we'll give we'll each give a
- 18:04Speaker 1: hundred dollars to you. So that's five. Yeah, I know what, Junior,
- 18:08Speaker 1: don't you half for the money to have? Here's the money.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I make a donation for you because I care about you, Jim.
- 18:23Speaker 1: But no, I'm not giving away half for nothing that
- 18:26Speaker 1: I got it. I got it sending these ten thousands college.

- 18:48Speaker 1: one point six bill. You you can have so many
- 18:52Speaker 1: blood transfution you can take out all your blood putting
- 18:55Speaker 1: new blood. Try that. Yeah, man, don't jake. All right,
- 19:02Speaker 1: we do this, all right, we're gonna do this. Send
- 19:07Speaker 1: me your paper. Yeah, I'm gonna do cash papers, whatever,
- 19:13Speaker 1: I'll send it over. I was just joking. I wouldn't
- 19:16Speaker 1: take the money. Get you new for all of that. Jay,
- 19:22Speaker 1: You've only been here a short while. Cash Apple, what
- 19:26Speaker 1: are y'all talking about? God? You know what this is
- 19:31Speaker 1: why we can't win that you train for a month,
- 19:36Speaker 1: small amount of money? Wait a minute, what's you talking about?
- 19:39Speaker 1: You so you ain't heard that? You never heard of
- 19:42Speaker 1: zail cash any of that transfer money. You probably still
- 19:48Speaker 1: transfer money from when from my bank account to your
- 19:52Speaker 1: bank account bank account? Yeah, in seconds? You don't why
- 19:56Speaker 1: the money no more? Nor man no? Or are too rich, Steve?
- 20:01Speaker 1: You are too rich for real? Who do you know?
- 20:04Speaker 1: You can you get an app you can put in

- 20:48Speaker 1: even know that. He don't know where he gets none
- 20:51Speaker 1: of this change. They just give him to him, telling
- 20:52Speaker 1: y'all he sit there, just be opened up. Though what's
- 20:55Speaker 1: that for? I don't know? Isn't God good? All gotta
- 21:00Speaker 1: say that problem? That problem? We will be right back
- 21:07Speaker 1: with way too much? What is cash? App it's a
- 21:16Speaker 1: billion dollars on the table. Man. Yeah, alright, well bet

- 34:15Speaker 1: We're gonna come up with new nicknames with Thomas since
- 34:17Speaker 1: your TV time. So so far as a little pretty
- 34:20Speaker 1: in black. It's time for today headlines. Let's go Gentation,
- 34:29Speaker 1: Generation Generation, and good morning everybody. This is a trip
- 34:34Speaker 1: with the news. Okay. Today is the day that Turkish
- 34:37Speaker 1: President Urdwan revealing the quote naked truth about his country's
- 34:41Speaker 1: investigation to the apparent murder of dissident Saudi journalist Jamal Kashoji.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Today's announcement coming two days after Saudi Arabia came out
- 34:49Speaker 1: with yet another excuse for Casoji's death, first to Saudie's
- 34:52Speaker 1: denied doing anything. Then video surfaced about what appears to
- 34:56Speaker 1: be a Casoji bottled body double walking out the back
- 34:59Speaker 1: door of the embassy with another man sole that look
- 35:01Speaker 1: premeditated to people, and Saudis then said, oh, well, the
- 35:04Speaker 1: columists accidentally died while being tortured, and now the latest
- 35:08Speaker 1: is that he died accidentally while in a fist fight. Meanwhile,
- 35:11Speaker 1: President Trump says he's expecting some answers from our investigators.
- 35:15Speaker 1: The ground, Prince, we have people over in Saudi Arabia.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Now we have top intelligence people in Turkey, and we're
- 35:23Speaker 1: going to see what we have. Let first, we'll see
- 35:26Speaker 1: what the Turks say. They said they have audio and
- 35:28Speaker 1: visual evidence of what they say was purely a torture
- 35:31Speaker 1: and a murder. With the aerial photos showing thousands of
- 35:34Speaker 1: Central Americans walking through El Salvador, then Guatemalda and Honduras
- 35:38Speaker 1: and now attempting to push their way into and through Mexico,
- 35:41Speaker 1: President Trump says his administration wants to slash the aid
- 35:44Speaker 1: given to those three countries because they've done nothing. He says,
- 35:48Speaker 1: to contain the marching migrants, Slateblla, Honduras, Old Salvador. They
- 35:52Speaker 1: made a lot of money every year we give him
- 35:54Speaker 1: Farid aid and they did nothing for us, nothing, hundreds
- 35:58Speaker 1: of millions of dollars. They, like a lot of others,
- 36:02Speaker 1: knew nothing for our gun me. While Trump says he's
- 36:05Speaker 1: alerted both the military and the border patrol of Mexico,
- 36:08Speaker 1: by the way, says they're going to contain them, and
- 36:09Speaker 1: they're not going to get out of Mexico. In fact,
- 36:11Speaker 1: they're gonna leave Mexico all with only a couple of
- 36:14Speaker 1: weeks before the midterm elections. No surprise, Trump looks to
- 36:17Speaker 1: make this situation a campaign issue. In Georgia, an eighteen
- 36:20Speaker 1: year old man wanted the killing of a local police
- 36:22Speaker 1: officers shot and killed yesterday by other officers, two days
- 36:25Speaker 1: after cops launched a manhunt. Tafari Minard killed when officers
- 36:29Speaker 1: followed up on a tip. Minard the prime suspect and
- 36:31Speaker 1: the death of thirty year old Gwynett County officer Antoine Toni,
- 36:34Speaker 1: who was responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle
- 36:37Speaker 1: park near a school. A second suspect, nineteen oh Isaiah Prettlowe,
- 36:40Speaker 1: has been arrested charge of the aggravated assault related to
- 36:43Speaker 1: an incident which took place after Tony was fatally shot.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Customers of the low cost airline Ryan Air not very
- 36:49Speaker 1: happy about how Ryan Near handle a racist passenger in
- 36:52Speaker 1: a recent flight out of Barcelona, Spain. According to a
- 36:54Speaker 1: video post to buy an appalled witness, a white man
- 36:57Speaker 1: ordered seventy seven year old black woman sitting in I'll
- 36:59Speaker 1: see to move and quickly allow him to get to
- 37:01Speaker 1: his window seat. According to Huffington's post, the woman's daughter
- 37:04Speaker 1: told the man her mommy a little time because she
- 37:07Speaker 1: had authoritis and couldn't move very quickly. The woman that
- 37:10Speaker 1: immigrated from to England from the Jamaica from Jamaica in
- 37:13Speaker 1: the nineties sixties, and as she spoke in her accent
- 37:15Speaker 1: to the racist, he screams back, don't talk to me
- 37:17Speaker 1: in a foreign language, you stupid, ugly cow. That man
- 37:20Speaker 1: was not removed from that flight. Believe it or not,
- 37:22Speaker 1: this is finally something that only woman could have used
- 37:24Speaker 1: today National slap You're irritating co worker Day, Steve Harvey

- 40:24Speaker 1: These are grown people out there. Maybe they've been married,
- 40:28Speaker 1: maybe they got kids, whatever. These are grown people who
- 40:31Speaker 1: absolutely know what they want. You know how it is
- 40:33Speaker 1: when you are a little bit older, you know what
- 40:35Speaker 1: you want in a relationship. It's different than when you're
- 40:38Speaker 1: in your twenties. You're trying to figure it out. You
- 40:39Speaker 1: having y'all, hang on, hang on because this is good.
- 40:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna bring y'all back with more. Don't go away,
- 40:44Speaker 1: We got more with Will Packer and the brand new
- 40:47Speaker 1: star of Ready to Love. That damn Nephew Tommy. You're
- 40:52Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, please
- 40:56Speaker 1: welcome back, super Producer. I love calling him super producer.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Is that's exactly what he is. Will Packers here to
- 41:03Speaker 1: tell us about the season premiere of Tommy's new show,
- 41:06Speaker 1: Ready to Love on Own. Will pack them. Okay, we
- 41:12Speaker 1: put twenty singles, twenty of the most eligible singles in Atlanta.
- 41:17Speaker 1: We put them all together. We gave him to Tommy.
- 41:20Speaker 1: We let them start dating. Okay, okay, okay, you put
- 41:27Speaker 1: eligible singles and you gave him what Mr park In.
- 41:36Speaker 1: We gave them to Tommy, and we gave them to
- 41:39Speaker 1: tom and we said, let's see what happens. God and
- 41:43Speaker 1: Tommy took it from there, and everybody doesn't make it
- 41:47Speaker 1: to the end of the show. So we see them
- 41:49Speaker 1: dating and interacting. But the women get to decide which
- 41:52Speaker 1: of the men they want to keep on the show.
- 41:57Speaker 1: And then the tables flip and the men get to
- 41:59Speaker 1: the side which of the women they want to keep.
- 42:02Speaker 1: So we narrow it down until we have the final
- 42:06Speaker 1: three couples. Six people remain. So see, just because you
- 42:09Speaker 1: got a thing going with one person doesn't mean that
- 42:12Speaker 1: the other women or the other men are feeling you.
- 42:15Speaker 1: So it's interesting. And here's the other thing. We got
- 42:17Speaker 1: Tommy to go and after after all the dates and
- 42:20Speaker 1: after everything would happen, Tommy would sit down with the
- 42:23Speaker 1: guys when the women aren't around, and when I tell you, y'all,
- 42:29Speaker 1: nephew would go ham. He would get these men. Listen,
- 42:32Speaker 1: do not watch this show unless you really really want
- 42:35Speaker 1: to hear what men are saying. We are not around.
- 42:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you that right now in your favorite place.
- 42:44Speaker 1: We are in a cigar bar, me and the guys,
- 42:47Speaker 1: and we are chopping it up and they are laying
- 42:49Speaker 1: it all out on the table. How they feel about women,
- 42:52Speaker 1: what they think, what they're feeling, what they're not feeling.
- 42:55Speaker 1: You get the whole. Okay, So Tommy, so here's my
- 42:57Speaker 1: question for you. While you were aping this show, what
- 43:01Speaker 1: what was you What were you getting from the show?
- 43:04Speaker 1: What were you picking up or what? When you pick
- 43:07Speaker 1: the people watching what they'll pick up? Women are going
- 43:11Speaker 1: to pick up how how they can see the game
- 43:14Speaker 1: that some men are trying to run. They're gonna pick
- 43:17Speaker 1: it up easy, You're gonna be There's a lot of women.
- 43:19Speaker 1: We have twelve beautiful women on this show. And what's
- 43:22Speaker 1: gonna happen and you're gonna see ladies are going to
- 43:25Speaker 1: see themselves almost like Will Packer once again, the girls Trip.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Will when you saw a Girl's trip, you saw which
- 43:30Speaker 1: one of those ladies you were, Ladies would see oh
- 43:33Speaker 1: that's oh my god, that's my girlfriend. Oh my god.
- 43:35Speaker 1: When you see these twelve, you're gonna you're gonna see
- 43:38Speaker 1: the one that you are, and you're gonna see And
- 43:40Speaker 1: these are some beautiful black women. They are professional black women.
- 43:44Speaker 1: We got. We got ladies that are vice president of banks.
- 43:48Speaker 1: I mean, they are professional, they got it going home
- 43:51Speaker 1: and they are no nonsense. With these guys, I'm not
- 43:54Speaker 1: hearing it. I've heard the game before. Are you ready
- 43:57Speaker 1: to love? And you better be ready when you come
- 44:00Speaker 1: in here. And the thing is that, you know how
- 44:02Speaker 1: a lot of women would say, I don't know why
- 44:04Speaker 1: I'm still single, like I'm not sure what it is
- 44:06Speaker 1: that I'm doing wrong. I'm not sure what it is
- 44:08Speaker 1: why I'm not connecting. And so we actually delve into that.
- 44:12Speaker 1: You know, we did like an early screening of this,
- 44:13Speaker 1: and women were watching it, like Tommy said, they would say, oh,
- 44:16Speaker 1: I see myself in her, and I see now I
- 44:19Speaker 1: see what the guys are saying, Like you know, they
- 44:21Speaker 1: want a woman that strong but not too strong, independent
- 44:25Speaker 1: but not too independent. Okay, okay, so let me jump
- 44:28Speaker 1: in here. So a woman watching this show, we'll learn
- 44:33Speaker 1: two things. First of all, how men really view them
- 44:38Speaker 1: with the spotlight that Tommy puts on the men when
- 44:42Speaker 1: you're talking about why you want them out, what the
- 44:44Speaker 1: game you run it. And then a lot of women
- 44:46Speaker 1: might can learn from the mistakes of others by seeing
- 44:50Speaker 1: themselves in these other women. That's why I'm the host
- 44:56Speaker 1: of this show. All right. Up next, we're gonna having
- 45:02Speaker 1: some more fun with Will Packer and nephew Tommy, and
- 45:05Speaker 1: we'll talk more about Tommy's new show, Ready to Love.
- 45:07Speaker 1: It's tonight on the Own channel ten pm, nine Central.
- 45:11Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at
- 45:16Speaker 1: the top of the hour. Read about four minutes after
- 45:19Speaker 1: it's today's Strawberry Letters subject. All he cares about is
- 45:22Speaker 1: being insta famous. That's it. But right now, yeah, right now,
- 45:27Speaker 1: we got more with super producer Will Packer in the building. Uh,
- 45:31Speaker 1: We've been talking with the superstar producer, Will Packer and
- 45:36Speaker 1: the new star of al Ready to Love, Thomas Miles.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Very own nephew Tommy Ready to Love is a show
- 45:44Speaker 1: that explores the romantic interactions of grown black men and
- 45:48Speaker 1: women in their thirties and forties and they all looking
- 45:51Speaker 1: for love. Well, we didn't put them all in the
- 45:52Speaker 1: same room. We didn't find a way to eliminate them.
- 45:55Speaker 1: It's very unique way of eliminating calls girls, eliminate me
- 45:59Speaker 1: and me, and eliminate the women. These are grown women
- 46:02Speaker 1: with kids, that's been married, that's looking for love, never
- 46:05Speaker 1: had it. They ain't got time for no foolishness. And
- 46:10Speaker 1: now when you ain't got time for foolishness, what better
- 46:14Speaker 1: person to put in the equation? Then damn game recognized
- 46:23Speaker 1: getting so a fellas, let's go. The show is a
- 46:28Speaker 1: shot in Atlanta, Georgia. On this show, you've got a
- 46:31Speaker 1: lot of successful black men and women that's out there
- 46:34Speaker 1: looking for love in Atlanta, which is a tough place
- 46:36Speaker 1: I found for women to found love because of the
- 46:39Speaker 1: ratio women to men, it's so high twenty one man.
- 46:44Speaker 1: How did you select participants for the show? You know
- 46:46Speaker 1: it was tough. I mean we went through a very
- 46:49Speaker 1: extensive process because we had a lot of people that
- 46:52Speaker 1: came out. Once you say it's Oprah winfree you know,
- 46:55Speaker 1: the own network. You know, you got me I'm casting
- 46:57Speaker 1: for We put Tommy on. So we had a lot
- 46:59Speaker 1: of people that came out. We went through rounds and rounds.
- 47:03Speaker 1: I'm talking about hundreds of people came out for this show.
- 47:06Speaker 1: And first of all, it was some crazy, so we
- 47:09Speaker 1: had to weed them out. We had one dude, time
- 47:12Speaker 1: is You're about to do? That was married to tried
- 47:14Speaker 1: to get on the show and he but but I
- 47:16Speaker 1: never met him about you're not gonna meet him. But
- 47:19Speaker 1: I had to make sure that we sent him home. Look,
- 47:21Speaker 1: he told this is a true story, Steve, I can't
- 47:23Speaker 1: make this up. He told his wife he was going
- 47:25Speaker 1: to the store and came to the audition for Ready
- 47:28Speaker 1: to Love, and he was honest about it. He said, yeah,
- 47:32Speaker 1: but she cool with it. We said, brother, this is
- 47:34Speaker 1: for singles. We can't have you dog. Your show is
- 47:40Speaker 1: called Ready for Love. That's what I'm literally I married
- 47:44Speaker 1: the room personal. I'm not getting at the house. Y'all
- 47:50Speaker 1: need me on this show. So we had to weed
- 47:53Speaker 1: them types out, you know. And then we went and
- 47:56Speaker 1: we made sure we had people that were reasonably sane
- 47:59Speaker 1: and and it's you know what I like, It's a
- 48:01Speaker 1: diverse mix of people. You got every shape, you got
- 48:04Speaker 1: every shade, you got every career path. You know what
- 48:07Speaker 1: I mean. You got men at a very successful with white.
- 48:10Speaker 1: We got we gotta pastor. We gotta pastor. We got
- 48:13Speaker 1: a pastor that got on the show. And his whole
- 48:15Speaker 1: thing is that he wants to wait for sex and
- 48:18Speaker 1: when he meets women, they don't want to hear that.
- 48:21Speaker 1: He think it's the other way around. Correct, But he's
- 48:25Speaker 1: a pastor and he's he looking like his first lag.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Yeah it was pastor Chris Tommy. He probably forty late late.
- 48:39Speaker 1: You say he never had said, he's saying right now.
- 48:42Speaker 1: He was waiting this because he got e d. If
- 48:49Speaker 1: you have erectile dysfunction, you can't wait. You don't have
- 48:54Speaker 1: a choice. He got a pastor. He's trying to go
- 49:00Speaker 1: buy the word for his first lady. So yeah, we
- 49:03Speaker 1: got a good mix man. We got good mixing. Tommy.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Tommy ain't let him off the hook either. He got
- 49:08Speaker 1: me nervous a few times or some of the answers
- 49:10Speaker 1: and questions, and he was asking, because I'm pressed them,
- 49:14Speaker 1: will I pressed? What you think about her lace front?
- 49:18Speaker 1: I mean, it's just you know, oh he went. Let
- 49:23Speaker 1: me say this, I was Thomas Miles most of the time,
- 49:26Speaker 1: but nephew, Timmy kind of seeped out every now when,
- 49:29Speaker 1: which is what's gonna cause people to tune. Yeah, it
- 49:33Speaker 1: was all these two separate people. Listen before. I'm a
- 49:39Speaker 1: little nervous with both of my bosses on the land
- 49:42Speaker 1: right now. I'm nervous giving out too much. And I'm
- 49:48Speaker 1: so supportive of this move. Yeah, because I want him
- 49:53Speaker 1: to have a TV show. I've always thought that he
- 49:57Speaker 1: should be on TV. Yeah. You know, we've looked at
- 50:00Speaker 1: projects and thought about it. Every project ever came for
- 50:03Speaker 1: him wasn't good. This is the first time that he
- 50:07Speaker 1: got a shot at something. As long as you don't
- 50:10Speaker 1: put a light on his light, y'all gonna be on
- 50:15Speaker 1: TV for years. That's like a great show. I can't
- 50:19Speaker 1: wait to watch it. For love? Ready ready? Yeah, what
- 50:26Speaker 1: time tonight? Ready to Love? That's great? But let me
- 50:33Speaker 1: say this, can I can I say this? I want
- 50:36Speaker 1: to say thank you the will, but I want to
- 50:38Speaker 1: say also thank you to my uncle for being somebody
- 50:41Speaker 1: I can watch do this in front of me. At
- 50:44Speaker 1: least I know how to go out and and you know,
- 50:46Speaker 1: I got to mold I had something that I can
- 50:48Speaker 1: grab onto that I can look at and say, this
- 50:50Speaker 1: is how you do it. After going to your shows
- 50:52Speaker 1: watching you man, I remember when I was just trying
- 50:55Speaker 1: to figure out how to heck you reading this teleprompt
- 50:57Speaker 1: like it's nothing. So I appreciate Yate, how you have
- 51:01Speaker 1: laid the groundwork for me to look at. And I'm appreciative.
- 51:04Speaker 1: But that's awesome. You didn't think it was, a matter
- 51:12Speaker 1: of fact, I knew it was. I didn't think I said,
- 51:16Speaker 1: I have wasted my game. But when he didn't hooked
- 51:21Speaker 1: up with will Pack. See that pack of game change
- 51:25Speaker 1: Pack D in my movie, So I ain't got to
- 51:30Speaker 1: tell you what that did. Yeah, that's over a hunting
- 51:36Speaker 1: million the name of Jesus Fellas. Congratulations, listen again, you're
- 51:40Speaker 1: all ready to Love premiers tonight ten pm Easter nine

- 53:58Speaker 1: burlet's it all right? Here we go subject. All he
- 54:06Speaker 1: cares about is being insta famous. Dear Stephen Shirley, I
- 54:09Speaker 1: need some help with one of my closest friends. He
- 54:12Speaker 1: and I have known each other since middle school, and
- 54:14Speaker 1: he's always been a bit lazy. He comes from a
- 54:17Speaker 1: fairly privileged background, and I believe that made him feel
- 54:21Speaker 1: entitled to certain things in life without actually working for them.
- 54:25Speaker 1: We are in our early thirties now and he still
- 54:27Speaker 1: lives with his mother, works part time, and never finished college.
- 54:32Speaker 1: The majority of his time and money is spent doing
- 54:34Speaker 1: photo shoots for Instagram because he seems to be trying
- 54:37Speaker 1: to brand himself as a socialite or local celebrity. It's
- 54:41Speaker 1: always one get rich quick scheme after another with him.
- 54:45Speaker 1: Despite wasting his cash on photo shoots, he's always complaining
- 54:50Speaker 1: that he's broke and often needs to borrow cash from
- 54:53Speaker 1: me and other friends. This guy also does not drive,
- 54:56Speaker 1: so he always relies on his mom or me and
- 54:59Speaker 1: his friends for a ride. When we criticize him, he
- 55:02Speaker 1: calls us haters and will say that we don't believe
- 55:05Speaker 1: in his dreams. We are too old for this mess
- 55:08Speaker 1: and it's time for him to have a real reality check.
- 55:11Speaker 1: How do we tell him that it's time to get
- 55:13Speaker 1: a real job, get stable, and stop trying to be
- 55:16Speaker 1: Instagram famous as a man. I feel bad writing this,
- 55:20Speaker 1: but it's time for him to grow up or we
- 55:22Speaker 1: will continue to distance ourselves from him. I need to
- 55:25Speaker 1: know how to reach him. Please help. Yeah, you stunned
- 55:28Speaker 1: me with that last couple of sentences. I did think
- 55:31Speaker 1: this was from a female friend. Yeah I did. Um well,
- 55:35Speaker 1: but as a friend, um, all you can really do
- 55:38Speaker 1: is tell your entitled user friend uh how you honestly
- 55:44Speaker 1: feel and maybe you know he'll hear you this time,
- 55:47Speaker 1: But it's highly unlikely because you said you guys already
- 55:51Speaker 1: says something to him, and he accused you of hating
- 55:53Speaker 1: and uh, not believing in his dreams. I just thought
- 55:59Speaker 1: that line is funny. Uh. So here's some advice to
- 56:03Speaker 1: you as your friend, as his friend, just back away.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Uh let him be. You cannot change a person. You
- 56:10Speaker 1: can only change yourself. You've got to stop judging him.
- 56:13Speaker 1: You gotta stop judging what he does and what he
- 56:15Speaker 1: spends his money on. You gotta remove yourself from all
- 56:18Speaker 1: of that. Um. That's called tough love. You know you
- 56:21Speaker 1: you can be there for him as a friend. But
- 56:23Speaker 1: as far as all the other stuff you're doing, like
- 56:25Speaker 1: picking him up, stop that, lending him money, Please stop that.
- 56:30Speaker 1: That's called enabling. Okay, And isn't his mother already doing
- 56:34Speaker 1: such a great job of enabling him. He's living with her,
- 56:38Speaker 1: she gives him rides. I'm sure she's taking care of
- 56:41Speaker 1: him and and you know other financial ways and stuff
- 56:44Speaker 1: like that. I agree with you. This is a grown
- 56:46Speaker 1: man we're talking about. It is time for him to
- 56:48Speaker 1: grow up. And one of those ways is if you
- 56:51Speaker 1: his friend and his mom stop enabling a grown man.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Steve Um, First of all, this man wrote this, I
- 57:03Speaker 1: thought it was a woman, but I can Okay, it's
- 57:05Speaker 1: cool if that ain't no problem. Hell with my closest
- 57:09Speaker 1: friend here and not known each other since middle school.
- 57:12Speaker 1: He always been he's lazy, privileged family, Uh we in
- 57:20Speaker 1: our early thirties. He lives where his mama work part time,
- 57:26Speaker 1: ain't finished college. The majority of his money has been okay.
- 57:29Speaker 1: First of all, I didn't have no friends at thirty
- 57:36Speaker 1: that live with their mom, has said Reggie Claude, Who
- 57:40Speaker 1: was that Reggie Claude? Dude stayed downstreet from he lived
- 57:44Speaker 1: with his mom. I didn't. I didn't understand that. But
- 57:48Speaker 1: he worked. Then you say spends all his money doing
- 57:56Speaker 1: photo shoots because he seems to be trying hard to
- 57:59Speaker 1: brand himself off as a socialite or local celebrity. Always
- 58:04Speaker 1: got the rich cre daddy always broke and he needs
- 58:07Speaker 1: to broadcast from me and other friends. This guy also
- 58:11Speaker 1: doesn't drive, so he lies on his mama or me
- 58:14Speaker 1: or free for a ride. What celebrity ain't got car money?
- 58:22Speaker 1: Let's just start there. You ain't even got to be
- 58:25Speaker 1: a celebrity to get a car. Most of y'all listening
- 58:28Speaker 1: to non celebrities and all y'all have calls, but he
- 58:32Speaker 1: branded himself as a celebrity without a car. You're thirty
- 58:38Speaker 1: years old and your mama giving you rides places? What
- 58:44Speaker 1: this is? Crazy? Man? He relies on his mom or
- 58:49Speaker 1: me and friends for a ride. I ain't got no
- 58:52Speaker 1: time to go pick up no thirty ye old dude.
- 58:54Speaker 1: I never had no time when I was thirty. I
- 58:56Speaker 1: was hustling so hard trying to make it. If you
- 58:59Speaker 1: call on me for a ride, I wasn't in town,
- 59:01Speaker 1: No damn way. When we criticize him, he calls us,
- 59:05Speaker 1: hate us, and will say that we don't believe in
- 59:08Speaker 1: his dreams. It ain't your job to believe in his
- 59:10Speaker 1: dream Like Shirley said, take yourself off this hamster will
- 59:14Speaker 1: Why do you have to believe in these dreams? What dream?
- 59:18Speaker 1: He stayed at the house with his mom, and he
- 59:20Speaker 1: getting rides from his mama and his friends, and he
- 59:22Speaker 1: worked part time and he's trying to be Instagram famous?
- 59:26Speaker 1: What dreams? You said? We are too old for this mess.
- 59:33Speaker 1: I ain't mad at you, bro. How do we tell
- 59:36Speaker 1: him it's time to get a real job, get stable,
- 59:38Speaker 1: and stop trying to be Instagram famous? This is how
- 59:41Speaker 1: you do it. You say, look, man, it's time to
- 59:43Speaker 1: get a real job, get stable, and stop trying to
- 59:47Speaker 1: be Instagram famous. You said, just like you're typed. He's saying, I,
- 59:52Speaker 1: as a man, I feel bad righting this. I ain't
- 59:55Speaker 1: mad at you, dog, I know, but you're trying to
- 59:56Speaker 1: get something help because you had wits and you're thinking
- 59:58Speaker 1: maybe Steve got some for you. I got something for you.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: But it's time for him to grow up or we
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: will continue to distance ourselves from him. I need to
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: know how to reach him. See this is actually a
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: concerned friend. He's actually trying to reach him. But the
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: best way to reach a dude like this man is
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: he's one of them people that thinks he's always right.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: He's one of them people that don't see no wrong
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: in none of his decisions. But all of his decisions
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: have resulted in something that's not up to Paul. With
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: the friends that he grew up with, that's all in
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: your thirties. So when we come back, Jay is gonna
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: be the friend that's trying to talk to me. The
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: dead be I'm the dude in the letter, and Jay
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: is the dude write in the letter, and Jay is
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: gonna try to reach me when we come back. I'm
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: tell you how it was wrong. All right? Part two
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: of Steve's response coming up at twenty three. After all
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: he cares about is being inst the famous. Right after this,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: you're listening to show, all right, Steve, Come on, let's
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letter. All he cares about is being
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: insta famous. It's a dude that's got a friend in
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: their thirties. He lazy, come from a privileged background. He
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: works part time, level with his mama, don't have a car,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: never finished college here all his money spent doing photo
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: shoots on Instagram because he's trying to brand himself as
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: a socialite or local celebrity. He doesn't have a car,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: and when his friends try to talk to him about it,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: when they criticize him, he calls him haters and say
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: they don't believe in his dreams. We're too old for
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: this mess. The writer of the letter says it's time
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: for him to have a reality check. How do we
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: tell him it's time to get a real job, get stable,
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: stop trying to be Instagram family? And then the man said,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: as a man, I feel bad right this, but it's
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: time for him to grow up, and we will continue
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: to distance ourselves from you. I need to know how
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: to reach him. Please help Jay. It's gonna try to
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: reach him. I am gonna show you what this man
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: that wrote the letters up against Okay, so j, what's
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: gonna be your name? My name is be Carnell. Your
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: name is Roosevelt, car Roosevelt, Cornell and Roosevelt. These is
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: two old as these are They ain't on Instagram. These
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: are holograms. These are two slaves. Mark Okay, I'm mark

- 1:02:52Speaker 1: I need to I need to talk to you about

- 1:02:58Speaker 1: you to call me Roosevelt. What's your name? Man? Because
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: every month you got a new name. So what's your
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: name this month? Blair? Okay? Black, Look Blair. The way
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: you're going at this. I know you want to be
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: rich and famous, you want to be out there, but
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: you're doing stuff that's just not gonna hear it. Like
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: last week, let me tell what you did last week.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: You're passing our headshots at the baby shower. And now
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: come on, man on, you all at the baby shower
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: passing out your eight by tens and it's just, oh,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: so you wanted the baby shower just to be about
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: the baby. Yeah, man, that's what the baby shower is
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: all about, you know what I mean? The ladies opening
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: the gifts and you at that pass and then last
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: week before that, oh wait, hold up, hold up, though,
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: but didn't did not bring a gilt. You brought a
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: gift of yourself and you wrapped up one of your
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: damn and you gave you get it to the baby.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I mean, hey, man, do you know do you know
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: when that baby grew up? In eighteen years? You know
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: how famous I beat down? The week before that, they
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: had a brand opening of a car wash. You dined
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: at the car wash, passing I eight by tens. Come on, man,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: come on, Blair. That ain't some of the stuff ain't
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: going nowhere? Man, hold on, Cornell, Cornell, Cornell, Let let
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: me say this here. You know, ain't nobody down at
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: that car wash fing to be nothing? I mean, come on,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: how many people you know working car wash should be so?
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: So I was down there to provide some inspiration called,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: damn it, I'm gonna make it. What how about? How
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: about the other night you up at the p t
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: A meeting where the parents trying to talk to the
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: teachers and you out there passing out eight five tens again.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: You're dining again, doing the same damn thing. The ladies
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: sitting in you're sitting in a little tiny desk and
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: parent teachers p t A. How else am I gonna
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: get this brand out here if I don't go and
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: quet people? Is this gathering? The other day you called
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: me up all excited. I got an audition. I got
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: an audition for the lead and a church Peter Pan
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: play man that ain't going nowhere? Hold up, hold up,
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: don't hold up? I got that. Yeah, but the weight
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: limit that your big ass was so big that you
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: just they couldn't pull you up in their hold. I
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: wasn't live there for that. I was Peter Pan Daddy.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: He didn't grow up either. Yeah, that's that's pinocchio. I
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: was Peter Pan Daddy, so they didn't have to lift me.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: And then if you came to the player, I killed it.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: I was doing I said in the back, me and
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: three other people down there. You didn't see me. I
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: even rewrote it. I said, flying word fly. I'm just saying,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna stuff you're doing ain't going nowhere. Man, it
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: just ain't gonna go. See. You know why they ain't
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: going nowhere Because I can't get my friends to support me.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: All I get is this continuous hate from all y'all
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: need to look at you. You're trying to kill another dream. Brother,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Get in the big plate, big this biggest production in
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: this city, Peter, what anything else come through here. That's
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: what I'm telling you. You just ain't going nowhere. Man,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: Let it go. Damn corn Now, I thought we was cool. Man,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: you are. I'm trying. I'm trying to you. I'm not
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: trying to crush the dream. No, you you ask crushing
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: something I've been sacrificing. I've been sacrificing here. I am
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: staying in my mama's house, man, just working part time.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: So if they call me, I can come on down now.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: And here you is with your dream kill itself. I
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: spoke to your mama about what you do in your room,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: and you're sitting plays from Colored Purples and Mack and
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: you know super Flying Dog. I watched I listened to
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: timing on the radio all the time down How you
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: do it? He know all the movie lines and see
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: looking at him. Dog. He kept on doing it till
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: he got his own show. What I'm feeling to do?
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: But you're not timming, man, I ain't got hold up, Tommy,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: ain't me sat, you're not You're not setting set and
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: got talent, Tommy. It is Tommy. Wow. Man, I'm hurt. Man,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: it's messed up. Dude. You need to ride home? Yeah, man,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: give me a ride home. Man, My mom feeling makes
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: something neat. Don't say you ain't got no car because
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I got your key. We we gotta get out of here. Guys,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: email us our Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's Strawberry
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Letter and the re enactment at Steve Harvey f M.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Coming up in about ten minutes, we're gonna talk about
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: the mid term elections and Trump in Houston, Texas. Oh boy.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Show in about fifteen days, guys, it's the mid term
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: election there. On Tuesday, November six, President Trump was in Houston,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: UH speaking at a Make America Great Again rally at
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: the Toyota Center in Houston. The President encouraged rally goers
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: to vote for Senator Ted Cruise instead of course of
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: the Democrat Beto O'Rourke. Remember during the two thousand sixteen campaign,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: we all remember this when Trump called Ted Cruise lying Ted.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: But now the President has new nicknames for Ted Cruise.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Take a listen, no longer lying ted lyon what did he?
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Beautiful Texas? I called Texas den Ted Ted Cruise, and
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: I had a very very nasty, a tough campet. It
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: was a very competitive, was a very healthcare head Uh.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Once it ended and we got together and by the way,
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: very late into the campaign, we last people were shocked.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I said, no't worry, it's only as words of the sun.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: And then ultimately what happened, we boarded out. The outcome
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: was obvious, and we have worked together very closely. I
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: like him a lot. I actually like him a lot,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: and he's a very smart guy. He loves the people
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: of Texas, which I do you talk about wife and
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: beautiful Ted Texas? Ted, you heard it. If you don't
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: stand up for your wife and your daddy, who do
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: you stand up? Man? I can assure you his wife
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: it's going, Wow, really, honey, that's the re enactment right now,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: because it's just so, I don't have any respect for
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: ted Cus because he let this man just dog his
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: wife and his father, and he said publicly I would
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: never support a man like him to be president United States.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: The power is with us we you know, especially for
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: our in Texas. We have to get out and make
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: a huge showing in the November election. We have to
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: do it. I voted yesterday morning, right yeah, I went
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: to Atlanta and voted. Go ahead, it's ices I voted. Man.
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: I can't take any chances, you know. And let me
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: say this about voting. Stop looking at my Instagram page
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: thinking that I vote for Donald Trump. Y'all got me twisted. Now.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Anybody that really know ols me and listens to the show,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: no good in hell. Well, I'm not a Trump supporter.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: That that ain't what that was, man. That was a meeting,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: A damn meeting supporter or tromp man. I'm trying to
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: get somebody up in there, man, where we can make
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: a difference. I need this guy in Florida. Gilliam and
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: I watched the debate on even said we need to
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: get him and we need to Stacy Abraham's in in George.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: What's the boy in Texas? Better old? We need him?
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Were running against Cruise as a matter of fact. Yeah,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: and listen, man, we gotta get some Democrats in the
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: House and the Senate so we can balance this thing
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: out because they're just running rough shod man, and this
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: thing is getting ugly. Man. And the and the poor
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Republicans that are voting read because they think they're talking
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: about them. They ain't talking about you. You're all gonna
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: be hurt. And we how to be extra careful because
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: they're lying. They're saying they want to uphold pre existing conditions. No,
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: they don't. They are still trying desperately to get rid
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: of more and more segments of Obamacare. And if you
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: don't think those pre existing conditions are one of them,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: that's a huge thing that they wan't done away with.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: They are lying saying that they want to keep pre
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: existing conditions. They can't with the proposals that they're putting
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: forth about Obamacare. They want to get rid of that
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: because they consider that an entitlement. Yeah. Yeah, and I
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: mean to everyone, black women, you did it in Alabama. Uh,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: we can do Yes, we can do this. We can
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: really really do this if all we have to do
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: is show up at the polls and cast our votes
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: absentee voting, however you want to do it, I recommend
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: early voting like you did, Steve. We'll get it done early.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Don't wait till the last starts today because a lot
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: of states today yesterday was the last day to register
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: to vote. So yeah, you can do it now, go
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: on in there. We have enough registered voters to turn
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: this thing around and make a difference. But you have
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: got to vote democratic to create a balance. The symbol
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: for this country is the golden eagle, and eagle can
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: only fly correctly with the left wing and the right
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: wing and right now this eagle has too many right
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: wings on it and can not fly correctly. That was
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: some deepness right there, sir. They can't do it. They
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: have You can't. An eagle can't fly correct without the
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: left and the right right wing. You got too much
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: right wing going on. Now. That's the imbalance of this country,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: and that's what's going on. And then we got people
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: like Kanye who goes up there who does not understand history.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: Listen to me, Kanye is a cool dude. Man one
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: on one. He is really a cool dude. He does
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: not understand history. You can't say, as an African American man,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: let's make America great again. And you can tell me
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: what time period you're talking about when it was better
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: for black folk? What what we're gonna make America great again? What?
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: What year you want to go back to? You easy,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: I don't know what the hell? Can you come on, man,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: you you gotta be smarter than that. Know your history.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: The sixties wasn't worth for damn the fifties show, wasn't
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: forties thirties good? When he on medication? Now when he
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: off of you get what you just got? What you get?
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: I don't care what nobody anyway anyway, guys, our message
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: is to vote, vote, vote, vote vote early November six, Please,
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: we gotta turn this thing around. Like you said, Steven,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: we do alright. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about Ray Carruth. Former NFL player Ray
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: Carruth was released from prison on Monday, and we'll talk
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: about it. It's been a while. Right after this, you're
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Show. Ray Carruth. We all
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: remember him as a former Carolina Panther uh he was
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: their wide receiver. He was convicted back in two thousand
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: one of conspiracy in the nineteen ninety nine shooting death
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: of his pregnant girlfriend. Uh Well Ray Caruth was released
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: from prison yesterday morning. That was Monday morning. The former
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: first round draft pick from the University of Colorado, he
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: played parts of three seasons in the NFL. UH in
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: November of pregnant girlfriend, her name was Sharika Adams. She
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: was shot four times in her car by an associate
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: of Caruth. She died a month later. Her wounds and
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: the baby survived, but suffered permanent brain damage. He has
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: cerebral palsy. Um Karuth was convicted of hiring his friend
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: to murder Adams and was sentenced to a minimum of
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: eighteen years and eleven months in prison. Well, as I mentioned,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: yesterday morning, uh Kruth walked out of the Samson Correctional
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Institution in Clinton, North Carolina, and the shooter meanwhile is
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: serving a minimum of forty years eighteen years eleven months
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: in prison. Steve, Well enough, Yeah, what do you all think?
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: I'm in total agreement, Carla. Not long enough. I think
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: he should have served more time, uh ka, yeah, and
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: the yeah Sharika died uh and the baby brain damage.
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: I don't think you should be allowed to be in
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: this child's life. I don't from from what you did,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: because you you you basically tried to take you, your
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: girl and the baby out. You try to take them
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: out and fortunately the baby survive. You want to now
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: get out and be a part of this because there's
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: a report that he wants to be involved in the
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: child's life. I don't, I said, so there's a report
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: that he wants to be involved in the child's life. Yea, yeah,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: you know. I'm you know, listening to you all. You've
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: sort of changed my mind because I was thinking, you know,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: if a person does their time then and they complete
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: their sentence, then you gotta get your knee up off
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: their neck and let them go live their life. But
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: after listening to you all, I kind of I can
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: understand it, because man, if the shooter gets forty, you
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: were the reason you were to do with the money,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: yeah you know, and the means, and you don't want
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: to bought the idea whole, the whole purpose. I mean
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: to ferition Without you, this girl is still living, living,
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: you know, so it's it's difficult then for the family
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: of the young lady, the suffering to endure, to have
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: to deal with the fact that you're now out and free.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: I do not understand him wanting to be a part
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: of the child's life, thank you, that's what. And Tommy's
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: right about that, because how do you let him be
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: a part of that? But the court system, when you
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: talk about child abuse, you had the boy's mother killed, yes,
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: and you were damaged and you've ruined, You've created a
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: disability in this young man that he has to live
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: with the rest of his life. Did Ray Caruth try
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: to maintain his innocence and all of this? I believe
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: you did. You can confess Actually yeah, initially clean cut
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: going to court. Didn't know we talked about until the
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: guy testified to say it that Ray told me to do. Yeah.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: Mm hmmm. Ray lied until he couldn't lie no more. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: The son's name is a chancellor and uh if Chancellor Adams.
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: And if you look at him, everyone says he looks
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: just like Ray carew But all because you had one
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: thought that you didn't want to be a father, yeah,
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: man with her. Yeah, he didn't want to be with her.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: It wasn't that he didn't want to lose his money.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: It was about money. Yeah. Yeah, the circumstances surrounding that
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: case were just horrible. And and I do think he
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: should have spent a lot more time. He should be injured. Yeah,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: he should have because he was. It's horrible, man, because
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: this family has us, their daughter, their sister, you know,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: their cousin. They aren't you know, this boy never will
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: see his mother and Ray Caruth. This was a really
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: ugly act. But he's cowardly, oh man, cowardly on So
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: you know, Normally, what you try to say is a
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: person do their time, they get out, They deserve a
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: second chance. That's what you try to say about any
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: convict because we could. We can't just throw people away.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: People make mistakes. This when right here is uh a
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: little it's different, man, because of the suffering that still continues.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: Somebody's got to take care of the child. That's tough
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: when they have when you have disabled family members, it's
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: not only the person that's disabled that has to make
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: certain concessions and things. Family members have to make adjustments too. Yeah,
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: and we're very difficult to raise a special needs child
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: that it's hard to or a healthy child now you
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: got a special needs You're exactly right, Carl. It it's
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: tough for these families. It's so much more that comes
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: with you. Yeah, and especially that didn't have to be.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: It was because of him, you know. And remember didn't
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: they find him in the trunk or something? He was
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: hiding out? That's what he find Yeah, I'm talking about
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: Ray k Ruth. Now you know what's crazy morning? Yeah,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: Innocent people don't hide. I was writing, I remember writing
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: a joke about him. I remember that I wrote a
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: joke about this guy hiding it, how he thought he
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: was gonna get away with this, and I you know,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: I've forgotten all about the joke. He gets out today
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: yesterday morning. Man. Do you know how much living we've done? Yeah,

- 1:27:11Speaker 1: paper with the glades on it. You ain't seen nothing.
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: I love this here. So when we're talking around Junior
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: the World series, Pepper, oh yeah, I'm sweet on Crispy Krean.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: I know this soup you can't push up on this
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: his soup fall apart. Yeah, he can't do this here,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: this ain't to be grabbed. Okay, well, Pepper, can't we
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: get your take on this world series? Okay, go here
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: what you need? We even know what you think. Man,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: the Dodgers and the Red Sox is playing. Man, Well,
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: you know, listen, can I be real with you because
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: of my genuine friendship with Magic Johnson, you know, and
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: my sheer hatred for Bomston. You know, I'm saying l
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: A don juice. Yeah, but man, let me tell you
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: something new. Damn Boys and Bean Town and they tripping me.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: They tripping up them. It's gonna be hand and beat them.
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: But you know, ain't they ain't got a Pivot Boston. No,
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: I don't know what something not one last time they
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: had pimp came out of that. They wasn't really pimps.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: There was what was that little group New Edition? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: Bobby Brown wanted to pimp. He was a food between
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: Pivot and foods. But you know, ain't no pimps in
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: the l A either, So I ain't got no skin
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: in the game, said with Magic. So you know I'm
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: pulling from the dog just but you know how many
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: games it's gonna go seven him? You know if you
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: walk bosting that aunt of him, not like that. You
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: know what they've do, man, FoST be Oh they've been
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: to be nasty. You know what I'm saying. So it's
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: gonna be interesting, man. But you know, baseball so damn slow.
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: The world serious gonna be good, man. They both offensive
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: power team. They're gonna be hitting. They need to. Whenever
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: they're throw it, man, they take two damn long only
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: rubbing on their head and wiping their head on their ass,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: throwing the ball over the first and shaking their head.
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: I don't want to throw the hand. I don't want
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: to something bad. Three and a half hours, ain't been
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: nine and it's that's twenty three, twenty seven strikes and
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: get this over with. They gotta throw something down there. Yeah,
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: ain't no fights. Sliding up into me with your clie said,
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: you kick me in the back of my leg, man
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: to tear one of these rabbit boots. I hate to
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: cut you off. We'll be closing remarks right after this.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: You're listening to show here we are Steve, last break
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: of the day. It is time for your closing remarks.
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: It's been a good day. My own closing remarks Today
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: it's gonna be advice to my nephew. I want to
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: talk to you man okay, about your TV career and
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: tell you some things I've learned and discovered along the
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: way that might be helpful to you as you venture
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: on this brand new journey. Um. The amazing thing is,
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: and not to use it as a negative, but to
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: eventually use what I'm about to say as a positive,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: is that the price for fame has gotten too high
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: now hm, because is of the use of social media,
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: the Internet, Facebook, Facebook, Live, Instagram, Twitter, blogs, TMZ, the
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: shade rule, media, takeout, radar, inquire, all of it. Uh.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna use this as a warning but also as
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: a blessing. None of those things got you where you are,
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: and none of those things can remove you from where
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: you are. But you do have to be aware of
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: it all because it's amazing how on your way up,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: how they cheer for you, and then when they see
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: you get there, they cheer for you, they congratulate you.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: But after you had made it, it's an amazing things.
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: Nothing left for them to do but tear you down.
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: And it is amazing how they go about it. But
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: they can only accomplish it if you lend yourself to it.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: So remember, the people who have opinions of you now,
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: they didn't know you back when, before you got on TV.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: They knew nothing about your struggles, your hardships, your wants,
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: your disappointments, all the times you were hoping that you
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: could be somewhere that you didn't, all the times you
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: shot for shows and you missed it. They don't know.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: But now all of a sudden, you're there. And it
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: reminds me of a quote that I saw on Jamie
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: Fox's page one time. He said, most people hate you
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: because of how many people love you, and that right
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: there alone, it is what you have to be aware
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: of that simply. The hate is usually because of the love.
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: But you gotta take your focus time and you got
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: to put it on the love. You just have to
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: put it on the love, man, because the hate is sold. Man.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: They're nasty with it, man, they just are. But you
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: will be fine because the God that got you where
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: you are, it's the God of sustaining, the God above
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: left to God of protection, the God of Isaiah seventeen
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: that nowhere performed to gives you shall prosper. I have
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: used that scripture so many times. You all are probably
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: well aware of the hate that has been coming my way.
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: It has just been alarming. But none of them, not
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: one single strand of it, has stopped one single blessing
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: that God had for me. I keep my haters in
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: my classroom. M All they can do is watch and learn.
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: Watch and learn. I tried desperately not to get off
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: the wall to address them, because they're coming, and after
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: tonight they'll start showing up. It'll be amazing. Man, you're
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: gonna have a great showing tonight. But don't worry about
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: the ones where he wasn't all that to me, and
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: he didn't seem like he did this to me. Don't
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: worry about them. The credit belongs to the man who
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: is actually in the arena, whose face is marked with dust, blood,
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: sweating tears, not to those cold and timid souls in
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: the stands who know neither victory nor defeat. They're just
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: up there bowing. But they ain't never been in the
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: arena before. They in the stands talking about you, and
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: they ain't never been under the lights. They in their
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: booing for you, and they ain't ever been cheered for.
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: It's an amazing man, that's how they do it. So
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: since they've never been cheered for, don't let the booing
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: bother you. Since they've never been in the arena, since
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: they face has never been marred with dust, blood, sweat,
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: or tears, they are merely cold and timid souls who
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: know neither victory nor defeat. They don't know what it
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: is to win or to lose because they've never even
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: tried nothing before. So why would you be affected by
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: someone who has not tried? And all they're talking about
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: is your efforts. See, people who are putting forth an
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: effort don't have time to slam other people's efforts because
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: they're too busy performing their own effort. I don't have
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: time to look over there and see how green your
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: grass is, because I'm trying to fertilize water and cutting
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: shop and mind. So the journey has begun. But along
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: with the journey comes to other part. But your faith
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: in God. The same God that got you here. It's
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: the same God that's gonna sustain the same God that
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: got you here. It's the same God that's gonna take
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: you further. And now that I'm saying this to Tommy,
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: looks like I ain't just talking to Tommy, looks like
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: I'm talking to everybody out there and listening. Because everybody
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: didn't experience some form of hate in their life. But
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: normally they only hate you because so many people love you.
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: Keep on doing what you're doing. Congratulations man, don't forget
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: to pray man, Ready to love for all. Steve Harvey
