Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome. It is verdicuous center.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Ted Cruz Ben Ferguson with you and sat her as
- 0:05Speaker 2: sad as this week has been, at least we do
- 0:07Speaker 2: get to start with some news that is good news,
- 0:11Speaker 2: and that is at the shooter, the assassin of Charlie
- 0:13Speaker 2: Kirk has been caught.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Well, that's right.
- 0:16Speaker 4: After a thirty three hour manhunt, the law enforcement has
- 0:19Speaker 4: apprehended Tyler Robinson.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Tyler Robinson is a.
- 0:22Speaker 4: Twenty two year old Utah man. He was apparently raised
- 0:26Speaker 4: in a Mormon household, in a conservative household, and apparently
- 0:30Speaker 4: radicalized in recent years. He was a bright student. He
- 0:33Speaker 4: had a four point zero GPA. He got a thirty
- 0:36Speaker 4: four out of thirty six.
- 0:37Speaker 3: On the Act. He won a.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Scholarship to go to college, although he didn't last even
- 0:43Speaker 4: a year at college, and apparently he had become radicalized,
- 0:48Speaker 4: had been moving more and more left wing, and at
- 0:52Speaker 4: the end of the day he carried out extreme left
- 0:56Speaker 4: wing violence. We're going to break down what we know
- 0:58Speaker 4: about this murderer and what the consequences are of this
- 1:04Speaker 4: assassination that is so painful to those of us who
- 1:09Speaker 4: were friends with Charlie Kirk, those of us who were
- 1:11Speaker 4: touched the millions who were touched by Charlie Kirk.
- 1:14Speaker 3: We're going to break down what.
- 1:16Speaker 4: We know about this murderer, and we're going to talk
- 1:18Speaker 4: more broadly about the problem of left wing violence, of
- 1:22Speaker 4: politicized left wing violence. It is a serious and growing
- 1:27Speaker 4: challenge in this country, and there are an awful lot
- 1:29Speaker 4: of Democrats and awful lot of people in the media
- 1:31Speaker 4: that are trying to pretend it doesn't exist.
- 1:33Speaker 3: We're going to break that down for you as well.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it's truly just a heartbreaking story and there's so
- 1:38Speaker 2: much that we've learned, and we're going to get all
- 1:40Speaker 2: to it.
- 1:40Speaker 1: In a second.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I want to talk to you real quickly though, about
- 1:42Speaker 2: my friends over at Berna. You guys know I'm pro
- 1:45Speaker 2: Second Amendment. You know that I've actually used my firearm
- 1:47Speaker 2: to save my life when i was a target of
- 1:50Speaker 2: a gang initiation. But for many people that are listening
- 1:53Speaker 2: are family members. You may not feel comfortable caring a firearm.
- 1:57Speaker 2: You still need to be able to protect yourselves and
- 2:00Speaker 2: in times of danger, you're gonna want to have something.
- 2:02Speaker 2: And that's where the Burno launcher comes in. I have
- 2:05Speaker 2: given these to countless family members. It is a handheld
- 2:08Speaker 2: pistol that fires both kinetic rounds and chemical irritants to
- 2:13Speaker 2: separate you from an attacker.
- 2:14Speaker 1: And I'm here today with Josh Gerard from Burna.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Josh, many of us just saw that video footage of
- 2:20Speaker 2: the recent mob attack of a man and a woman
- 2:22Speaker 2: in downtown Cincinnati. Josh, many of us saw the video
- 2:26Speaker 2: footage of the recent mob attack of a man and
- 2:28Speaker 2: a woman in downtown Cincinnati, and it was shocking. Can
- 2:32Speaker 2: you share a little more about what happened and could
- 2:34Speaker 2: a less lethal weapon like the Burno launcher be used
- 2:37Speaker 2: in a situation like this to defend yourself?
- 2:39Speaker 5: Absolutely, Like you said, we all saw the videos and unfortunately,
- 2:42Speaker 5: after a jazz festival, a man was attacked by a
- 2:45Speaker 5: mob of individuals that just continued going and continued going,
- 2:49Speaker 5: and unfortunately he was unable to defend himself despite other
- 2:52Speaker 5: people trying to help. This is one of those instances
- 2:55Speaker 5: where clearly these people are looking for an easy target.
- 2:58Speaker 5: The trick here is to make your self a hard target,
- 3:01Speaker 5: have a way to defend yourself to facilitate that escape.
- 3:04Speaker 5: And that's really where Burna comes in. You know, depending
- 3:07Speaker 5: on the legality, you may or may not be able
- 3:08Speaker 5: to carry a gun in this case, So you need
- 3:10Speaker 5: to have a tool to make sure you can defend
- 3:12Speaker 5: yourself as legal in all fifty states, and make sure
- 3:15Speaker 5: you can make it home safe.
- 3:16Speaker 2: And why wouldn't the victim in this case just want
- 3:18Speaker 2: to pull a gun on these suspects.
- 3:20Speaker 1: It's an important question.
- 3:21Speaker 5: You know, it absolutely is, And there's a couple reasons.
- 3:24Speaker 5: One is the legality. Depending on where you are, you
- 3:27Speaker 5: may not even be able to carry a gun, or
- 3:28Speaker 5: maybe coming from a private event where a gun may
- 3:31Speaker 5: not be illegal as well. And then two, in order
- 3:35Speaker 5: to pull a gun, you need to understand that there
- 3:37Speaker 5: has to be a reasonable expectation that there's going to
- 3:39Speaker 5: be death or serious boddle injury. Cause do you pull
- 3:41Speaker 5: that gun too early and you're likely the one to
- 3:44Speaker 5: be going to jail. So in this case, a less
- 3:46Speaker 5: legal tool is perfect. It can be pulled early, It
- 3:49Speaker 5: can be used early to prevent further harm because it's
- 3:53Speaker 5: such a reduced amount of force.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Look, if you want to carry one, I do. I
- 3:58Speaker 1: love having this as an option.
- 3:59Speaker 2: You can get more information for you or your family
- 4:02Speaker 2: members on how they can protect themselves with the burna launcher,
- 4:05Speaker 2: Go to burna by RNA dot com. That's burna by
- 4:10Speaker 2: RNA dot com Again, burna by RNA dot com. So Centaer,
- 4:16Speaker 2: let's talk about the incredible work by law enforcement. And
- 4:19Speaker 2: I was truly shocked by the fact that when Cashpttel
- 4:24Speaker 2: was heading out to where this took place, there were
- 4:27Speaker 2: people in Maybia criticizing him, including former high level members
- 4:32Speaker 2: in the FBI that were throwing shade, saying, well, this
- 4:35Speaker 2: is abnormal for him to go out there. This is
- 4:37Speaker 2: something we're not used to. Can't believe that he would
- 4:40Speaker 2: break protocols he described it. I'm glad to know we
- 4:43Speaker 2: have an FBI director that's willing to go out there
- 4:45Speaker 2: to something like this and make sure that all resources
- 4:48Speaker 2: are working.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And we caught him.
- 4:51Speaker 4: This was a major priority for the FBI. This was
- 4:54Speaker 4: a major priority for both state and local law enforcement
- 4:57Speaker 4: in Utah, and it took just over a day to
- 5:01Speaker 4: catch the shooter.
- 5:03Speaker 5: Uh.
- 5:03Speaker 4: The evidence we had very early on. We had the
- 5:06Speaker 4: video of the shooter on the roof of the building
- 5:08Speaker 4: from which he fired fired the shot. We also had
- 5:11Speaker 4: the video that the FBI put out publicly of the
- 5:14Speaker 4: shooter jumping down off the roof and running into the woods.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Very shortly thereafter, the FBI and law enforcement recovered the rifle,
- 5:24Speaker 4: recovered bullet casings with the rifle, and and if you
- 5:29Speaker 4: look at the bullet casings, so each of the casings
- 5:32Speaker 4: had different inscriptions on it. So one of the inscriptions
- 5:35Speaker 4: said hey, fascist, catch another one said notice bulges O
- 5:45Speaker 4: w O what's this? Which my understanding is that's that's
- 5:49Speaker 4: a reference to an online meme about transgenderism. I'll confess
- 5:54Speaker 4: I'm not familiar with that particular meme, but but according
- 5:58Speaker 4: to the press that that that's that's what it concerns.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Another one, an engraving had up arrow, right, arrow, three
- 6:09Speaker 4: down arrow symbols, which press coverage has said is the
- 6:14Speaker 4: sequence of controller moves that unleashes the five hundred megaton
- 6:19Speaker 4: bomb in Hell Divers two. I play video games, but
- 6:24Speaker 4: I don't play that particular video game. And then yet
- 6:28Speaker 4: another casing included lyrics from the song Bella Chow, which
- 6:34Speaker 4: was an Italian song adopted by the anti fascist resistance
- 6:40Speaker 4: during World War Two. And because I am looking at
- 6:47Speaker 4: the New York Times, they're not including the one that
- 6:49Speaker 4: says if you're reading this, you're gay, lol, which I
- 6:52Speaker 4: just happen to know from reading other stories, but it
- 6:54Speaker 4: says something that the New York Times magically omitted that
- 6:57Speaker 4: one from their chronicling of it. Of course, look, one
- 7:04Speaker 4: of the things that happened within minutes of this this
- 7:08Speaker 4: suspect being apprehended is Twitter started going crazy with with
- 7:13Speaker 4: leftist saying, oh, this guy is really a conservative, He's
- 7:16Speaker 4: a right winger, which which I have to say, really
- 7:19Speaker 4: defies imagination. Number one, look at the target of who
- 7:24Speaker 4: he shot. He shot Charlie Kirk. The natural, uh, the
- 7:28Speaker 4: the natural understanding is it's someone who deeply disagreed with
- 7:32Speaker 4: what Charlie was saying and was shooting him to silence
- 7:35Speaker 4: him because he didn't want people to hear the words
- 7:39Speaker 4: he was saying.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Uh.
- 7:40Speaker 4: That his family had told law enforcement that that Tyler
- 7:45Speaker 4: had become enmeshed and obsessed with hard left ideology, that
- 7:50Speaker 4: at a recent family dinner he made reference to the
- 7:53Speaker 4: fact that Charlie Kirk was coming to Utah and and
- 7:55Speaker 4: discussed just just how much he hated Charlie Kirk. All
- 8:01Speaker 4: of that evidence is coming out. I want you to
- 8:05Speaker 4: listen to the Governor of Utah just describing the facts
- 8:09Speaker 4: as they're rolling out that this is the Governor of Utah.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Spencer Cox area with trees.
- 8:14Speaker 6: On the edge of the UVU campus, investigators discovered a
- 8:18Speaker 6: bolt action rifle wrapped in a dark colored towel. The
- 8:22Speaker 6: rifle was determined to be a Mouser Model ninety eight
- 8:25Speaker 6: thirty six thirty six caliber bolt action rifle. The rifle
- 8:29Speaker 6: had a scope mounted on top of it. Investigators noted
- 8:32Speaker 6: inscriptions that had been engraved on casings found with the rifle.
- 8:37Speaker 6: Inscriptions on a fired casing read notices bulges capital, wo,
- 8:45Speaker 6: what's this question mark. Inscriptions on the three unfired casings
- 8:49Speaker 6: read hay fascist, exclamation point, catch exclamation point, up arrow symbol,
- 8:56Speaker 6: right arrow and symbol, and three down aaro symbols. A
- 9:01Speaker 6: second unfired casing read oh belichow belichow, belichow chow chow.
- 9:07Speaker 6: And a third unfired casing red. If you read this
- 9:11Speaker 6: you are gay LMAO. We are indebted to law enforcement
- 9:18Speaker 6: across the state who has worked seamlessly together local law enforcement.
- 9:23Speaker 2: You go back to the last one you noticed that
- 9:25Speaker 2: you said it was admitted by the New York Times.
- 9:27Speaker 2: That tells you everything about them trying to push a
- 9:29Speaker 2: narrative here I also think it goes back to just
- 9:32Speaker 2: the lies that were being told, as you mentioned earlier,
- 9:35Speaker 2: that this was somehow a conservative that did this. Clearly
- 9:38Speaker 2: it was not another way it was described. And I'll
- 9:41Speaker 2: read the cover of the New York Post. Their headline
- 9:45Speaker 2: from Gosh an hour ago said, quote, Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin,
- 9:49Speaker 2: Tyler Robinson's deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology. The Utah governor
- 9:55Speaker 2: continues to explain.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Well, it's misinformation and disinformation because activists and leftists and
- 10:02Speaker 4: democrats in the corporate media don't want to acknowledge the
- 10:05Speaker 4: obvious ideological agenda here written on the on the shellcasings.
- 10:10Speaker 4: You have number one that this was about believing Charlie
- 10:13Speaker 4: Kirk is a fascist. That's, of course the language that
- 10:16Speaker 4: the Democrats have been saying over and over and over
- 10:18Speaker 4: again about Charlie Kirk, about Donald Trump, about Republicans generally.
- 10:23Speaker 4: And you have two references to fascist. One one the
- 10:26Speaker 4: direct word hey fascist catch But then then secondly you
- 10:31Speaker 4: have the Belichow song, which which again both of those
- 10:35Speaker 4: are are directly saying Charlie in the view of the shooter,
- 10:38Speaker 4: as a fascist. And then you have two that are
- 10:40Speaker 4: focused on LGBT issues, one being gay and the second
- 10:44Speaker 4: being transgender, and again, an awful lot of the media
- 10:48Speaker 4: doesn't want to acknowledge that that ideological component. On top
- 10:53Speaker 4: of that, we have the fact that has come out
- 10:58Speaker 4: just recently, which is apparently Tyler's roommate is a transgender
- 11:07Speaker 4: male who is transitioning to become a female. And there
- 11:13Speaker 4: are conflicting reports whether Tyler and this transgender individual were
- 11:19Speaker 4: engaged in a romantic and sexual relationship or not. But
- 11:22Speaker 4: you had someone who was at a minimum of roommate
- 11:25Speaker 4: with someone who's transgender and may in fact have been
- 11:28Speaker 4: a sexual lover of someone who's transgender, and yet the
- 11:33Speaker 4: media is not acknowledging. We are seeing a clear pattern,
- 11:36Speaker 4: a clear pattern. And I got to say, you look
- 11:40Speaker 4: at there's some videos online of this this fellow Tyler
- 11:45Speaker 4: when he was younger, just a couple of years ago,
- 11:47Speaker 4: and he seems like a perfectly normal, happy kid. He
- 11:50Speaker 4: doesn't seem like someone suffering.
- 11:53Speaker 2: From menal class at college that looked I mean, if
- 11:56Speaker 2: you look at the timeline, it looks like you went
- 11:57Speaker 2: to college center and that's when he got radicalized.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Well maybe college. He also apparently spent a lot of
- 12:03Speaker 4: time on Reddit and Discord and four Chan and and
- 12:06Speaker 4: and online. It's possible that that's that's where he was radicalized.
- 12:11Speaker 4: It's it's not clear what the source of it is. Uh,
- 12:14Speaker 4: but we do know that that he was on Discord
- 12:19Speaker 4: talking back and forth about the shooting. He was telling
- 12:22Speaker 4: other other people on Discord that that that he had
- 12:26Speaker 4: left a rifle wrapped in a towel. He mentioned shellcasings
- 12:30Speaker 4: that were engraved. I mean that that that was part
- 12:33Speaker 4: of what confirmed this is the right guy. And and
- 12:35Speaker 4: when law enforcement went and talked with his roommate, Uh,
- 12:40Speaker 4: they were able to see these messages where he described
- 12:44Speaker 4: the rifle which was in fact wrapped in a towel,
- 12:47Speaker 4: and and and so that uh, the ideological hatred, intolerance,
- 12:52Speaker 4: and I got to say, the speed with which this
- 12:56Speaker 4: young man was radicalized and filled with homicidal hate is terrifying.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Now there is the tragic personal aspect of it that
- 13:08Speaker 4: apparently it was his own family. It was his father
- 13:10Speaker 4: who recognized him from the picture that the FBI had
- 13:13Speaker 4: released and confronted him, and according to the reports, Tyler
- 13:18Speaker 4: essentially confessed and his father urged him to turn himself
- 13:23Speaker 4: in and Tyler said he wanted to kill himself instead,
- 13:26Speaker 4: but his father brought in a youth pastor who knew Tyler,
- 13:30Speaker 4: and together they turned him in. Look, I got to say, Ben,
- 13:34Speaker 4: you and I are both both fathers. I'm glad the
- 13:37Speaker 4: father did that, But I cannot imagine a more hellish
- 13:42Speaker 4: experience for a father than realizing the monstrosity that your
- 13:48Speaker 4: son has just carried out.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:50Speaker 2: No, I couldn't agree with you more. And it was
- 13:52Speaker 2: one of the things that you know, his father apparently
- 13:54Speaker 2: worked in law enforcement, and so I'm sure he thought
- 13:56Speaker 2: to himself like, hey, hey, it's the right thing to do.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Be he's probably saving his son life at that point,
- 14:00Speaker 2: are a very good chance of it in a sense,
- 14:03Speaker 2: because he knew that if he was found by law
- 14:06Speaker 2: enforcement and fought back, it was going to be game over.
- 14:08Speaker 2: And the entire and the entire government, local, state, and
- 14:11Speaker 2: federal was trying to find him, and they were going
- 14:13Speaker 2: to find him. So that says thing I think about
- 14:16Speaker 2: father's love. I want to go back to just you
- 14:19Speaker 2: look at what the media has admitted from this. You
- 14:22Speaker 2: have a guy that you know there's a good chance
- 14:24Speaker 2: hit a trans boyfriend he called Charlie a fascist. That
- 14:29Speaker 2: is something the left has been using that word fascist, fascist, fascist.
- 14:32Speaker 2: You've been called it. I don't even know how many
- 14:34Speaker 2: times online. I've been called it. I don't even know
- 14:36Speaker 2: how many times online every time I do TV. Now,
- 14:38Speaker 2: that's the number one thing I see in there. I'm
- 14:40Speaker 2: sure you and I have been called it today, Yeah, today, bingo,
- 14:44Speaker 2: And it's like the number one word now of the left.
- 14:47Speaker 2: We also know that he's been confirmed to be a
- 14:49Speaker 2: leftist by friends and family. He's been confirmed a leftist
- 14:53Speaker 2: by top officials on record, including the governor. He killed
- 14:56Speaker 2: one of the most iconic conservatives in the country, and
- 14:59Speaker 2: yet leftists are still claiming right now online that he
- 15:03Speaker 2: was right wing. I mean, these people have no shame,
- 15:05Speaker 2: they have no integrity.
- 15:06Speaker 3: They's this information.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Yes, it's what the media does so well.
- 15:11Speaker 4: It is fundamentally dishonest. And I will say the demonization
- 15:18Speaker 4: from the left. We've also seen the people on the
- 15:20Speaker 4: left celebrating, openly celebrating this murder, and it has been
- 15:26Speaker 4: really striking. It's been disturbing how many school teachers have
- 15:30Speaker 4: been celebrating, and how many employees of the US government
- 15:33Speaker 4: have been celebrating, and on the left, not everybody. There
- 15:41Speaker 4: are some who have shown restraint, but this celebration on
- 15:45Speaker 4: the left is far too commonplace and it's deeply disturbing.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You talk about that aspect of it, and I go back,
- 15:53Speaker 2: there has been something that's changed this time around, and
- 15:56Speaker 2: I am thankful for this. There does seem to be
- 15:58Speaker 2: accountability for this hate for people in different jobs. We've
- 16:01Speaker 2: seen I think now well over a couple dozen administrators
- 16:06Speaker 2: teachers at public universities and private universities that have been
- 16:09Speaker 2: fired lost their jobs for celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk.
- 16:13Speaker 2: We saw it, for example, another story that went viral
- 16:15Speaker 2: of an office depot individual he refused to print Charlie
- 16:18Speaker 2: Kirk tribute flyers and call them propaganda. Thank goodness they've
- 16:22Speaker 2: been fired. I do think now what we are seeing
- 16:26Speaker 2: is the people that used to get away with this stuff.
- 16:28Speaker 2: There was no accountability. Now there does seem to be
- 16:30Speaker 2: a level of accountability. As a reaction to the.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Hurriel Musks buying, Twitter created a forum where suddenly when
- 16:39Speaker 4: people behave like this, they're exposed and there is accountability.
- 16:44Speaker 4: And Ben listen, I'll say there's a component of this
- 16:46Speaker 4: a clear component of this that is political. That is
- 16:49Speaker 4: the ultimate form of censorship, which is silencing those who
- 16:53Speaker 4: disagree with you through murder. And in fact, something I
- 16:57Speaker 4: retweeted yesterday was someone online said, they don't kill you
- 17:05Speaker 4: because you're a Nazi. They call you a Nazi, so
- 17:08Speaker 4: they can kill you. And and and that's the right
- 17:11Speaker 4: relationship between this rhetoric is this rhetoric is about giving
- 17:15Speaker 4: a permission structure that if Trump is Hitler. Look how
- 17:19Speaker 4: many people have had the old you know philosophy question,
- 17:23Speaker 4: if you could encounter baby Hitler as a toddler, would
- 17:27Speaker 4: you kill baby Hitler? And a very substantial percentage of
- 17:31Speaker 4: Americans say, yes, I would kill baby Hitler if I
- 17:33Speaker 4: had the chance. Well, if Trump is Hitler, Uh, it's
- 17:39Speaker 4: not much of a leap to see where that comparison
- 17:41Speaker 4: is going. And look, this is a political battle, but
- 17:46Speaker 4: this is also a spiritual battle. Because one of the
- 17:48Speaker 4: things about Charlie Kirk is he was one of the
- 17:53Speaker 4: most important evangelists in the country and in the world,
- 17:58Speaker 4: and in fact he was also one of the most
- 18:00Speaker 4: important Christian apologists in the world. That was a very
- 18:05Speaker 4: it was an integral aspect of what he did, and
- 18:07Speaker 4: I want to play a couple of things on this
- 18:09Speaker 4: number one.
- 18:09Speaker 3: I want to.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Play Charlie's pastor. Charlie's pastor talking about the work Charlie
- 18:16Speaker 4: did preparing to be an evangelist at a Christian apologist
- 18:20Speaker 4: and I found this. I don't know this pastor, but
- 18:24Speaker 4: I found this really profound what he described.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Give a listen.
- 18:29Speaker 7: Charlie Kirk is irreplaceable.
- 18:33Speaker 8: Charlie Kirk is a once in a generation mind and
- 18:38Speaker 8: soul and anointing and heart. Charlie Kirk was a rare
- 18:43Speaker 8: combination of evangelist, apologist and political strategist. One of our
- 18:48Speaker 8: most recent communications, he said, thank you.
- 18:51Speaker 7: I have a ton of questions.
- 18:52Speaker 8: I didn't ask for it, but I have become a
- 18:55Speaker 8: high profile defender of the faith.
- 18:57Speaker 7: I need to be the best I can.
- 19:00Speaker 8: Said, I'd be honored to serve for free, invisibly as needed.
- 19:03Speaker 8: You have an anointing to Steward and its massive. Proud
- 19:07Speaker 8: of you and pray for you and your family daily.
- 19:11Speaker 8: Charlie Kirk and I had been communicating. I was on
- 19:15Speaker 8: vacation with my wife and he was asking one wee
- 19:17Speaker 8: could get together for a half day. He had a
- 19:19Speaker 8: bunch of questions about the Christian faith that he wanted
- 19:22Speaker 8: to wipe bard out, and I told him it would
- 19:24Speaker 8: be a great honor of my life to.
- 19:25Speaker 7: Try and serve him.
- 19:27Speaker 8: He told me that he felt like God gave him
- 19:30Speaker 8: this platform an opportunity so that he could become an
- 19:34Speaker 8: evangelist and apologist to the next generation. He wanted to
- 19:38Speaker 8: make it his primary message and life work to proclaim
- 19:43Speaker 8: the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which
- 19:46Speaker 8: is evangelism, and then defend it by answering criticisms, questions,
- 19:51Speaker 8: and objections, which is called apologetics, which means to defend
- 19:55Speaker 8: the faith. Charlie Kirk stepped into a level of spiritual
- 20:00Speaker 8: warfare that I believe moved him to the top of
- 20:03Speaker 8: the enemy's hit list and to some degree contributed to
- 20:06Speaker 8: his assassination, his murder, and has martyrdom today. And I
- 20:10Speaker 8: do not use those words lightly. Those are entirely accurate
- 20:13Speaker 8: and fit the description of the demonic activity that we
- 20:16Speaker 8: saw today. Charlie wanted people to meet Jesus Christ, and
- 20:22Speaker 8: he wanted to do the best job that he could
- 20:24Speaker 8: presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And as a result,
- 20:28Speaker 8: Charlie was going to campuses and he was proclaiming Jesus,
- 20:33Speaker 8: and he was answering questions, and he was a generational
- 20:38Speaker 8: master in doing what the Bible says, and that is
- 20:43Speaker 8: to give an answer to everyone for the hope that
- 20:47Speaker 8: you have with gentleness and respect. He was a joyful,
- 20:52Speaker 8: happy warrior. He had a great smile. He was kind
- 20:56Speaker 8: to his enemies. He tried to have a good time
- 20:59Speaker 8: even when they were trying to give him a bad time.
- 21:03Speaker 8: His impact on this generation cannot be overstated. I believe
- 21:08Speaker 8: it is absolutely non hyperbolic to say that he is
- 21:13Speaker 8: the greatest conservative voice of this generation alive on planet Earth.
- 21:19Speaker 8: And one of the last times I saw him was backstage.
- 21:24Speaker 8: It was actually some months ago, I believe, when JD.
- 21:27Speaker 8: Vance was in town and Charlie invited me to come
- 21:30Speaker 8: meet JD in the greenroom and hang out with them.
- 21:33Speaker 7: And I walked in with a big smile.
- 21:35Speaker 8: He gave me a big hug, and he said, he said,
- 21:39Speaker 8: I need you to be praying for me, Pastor. I said, absolutely,
- 21:42Speaker 8: I pray for Charlie every day my wife and I
- 21:43Speaker 8: have and for his beautiful family he said, he said,
- 21:48Speaker 8: I think they're going to try and kill me, and
- 21:50Speaker 8: he said, if we lose, I think they're going to
- 21:52Speaker 8: incarcerate me.
- 21:54Speaker 7: Here's a young man with a family.
- 21:59Speaker 8: Who willing to sacrifice his own life and well being
- 22:04Speaker 8: and the joy he had with a wife whom he
- 22:06Speaker 8: very much loved and children that he completely adored for
- 22:10Speaker 8: the sake of selfless service.
- 22:12Speaker 7: And sacrifice out of love for others.
- 22:17Speaker 8: Charlie is was and will forever be one of the
- 22:21Speaker 8: most significant men who walked on planet Earth in his generation.
- 22:27Speaker 2: You listened to his pastor, and there's one aspect TC
- 22:31Speaker 2: that I think is so important for people to understand
- 22:34Speaker 2: about Charlie.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Charlie studied really, really, really hard.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Because he felt like it was a obligation of duty
- 22:41Speaker 2: to what he believed in, to God, to faith, to
- 22:46Speaker 2: understand the Bible, and stayed the way that he did that.
- 22:49Speaker 2: And it wasn't just on this issue. There was a
- 22:51Speaker 2: story that came out hours before this speech that he
- 22:54Speaker 2: was giving this grand debate at this college chemist in Utah.
- 22:57Speaker 2: He was on the phone for hours in a prep
- 23:01Speaker 2: call to defend Israel as well with two people that
- 23:04Speaker 2: I know, one I know very well, and he said
- 23:06Speaker 2: he didn't feel like he was ready for some of
- 23:09Speaker 2: the new things and new attacks on Israel, and he
- 23:11Speaker 2: wanted to whiteboard it out the same way that he
- 23:13Speaker 2: was just mentioned there with that pastor, he put in
- 23:16Speaker 2: the work. He didn't just show up.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Yeah, the preparation was incredibly important. I mentioned that he
- 23:24Speaker 4: was an apologist, and the pastor there explained apologetics is
- 23:29Speaker 4: the practice of defending the Christian faith. And it doesn't
- 23:32Speaker 4: mean apology in the sense of saying I'm sorry, but
- 23:35Speaker 4: it means it means confronting the arguments from the skeptics,
- 23:40Speaker 4: from those who doubt Christianity, and confronting them and addressing
- 23:43Speaker 4: them directly. And there have been great apologists in the past,
- 23:47Speaker 4: people like C. S. Lewis, maybe the greatest who ever lived.
- 23:51Speaker 4: And I think Charlie very much followed in the tradition
- 23:53Speaker 4: of C. S.
- 23:54Speaker 3: Lewis.
- 23:55Speaker 4: I want you to listen to another exchange, and this
- 23:57Speaker 4: is between Charlie and Tucker Carlson talking again about the
- 24:01Speaker 4: spiritual aspect of the battle that's been playing out.
- 24:05Speaker 9: To give a listen, I wonder if by continuing to
- 24:10Speaker 9: lie they aren't about everything, they're driving all of us
- 24:14Speaker 9: a little crazy.
- 24:15Speaker 10: Well, this is why your faith is the most important thing,
- 24:19Speaker 10: because for those of us that are Christians, it doesn't
- 24:22Speaker 10: drive you crazy. You actually see what's going on, which
- 24:26Speaker 10: is that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,
- 24:29Speaker 10: but against principalities and darkness and spirits. That there is
- 24:33Speaker 10: a spiritual war here. And you're right, Tucker. I find
- 24:38Speaker 10: people in this space that are not anchored to faith,
- 24:42Speaker 10: anchored to Jesus. They do lose their mind because there
- 24:47Speaker 10: is no rational or reasonable explanation for what the country
- 24:53Speaker 10: is doing to itself or what we are experiencing. But
- 24:56Speaker 10: if you then see, and you know that there is
- 24:59Speaker 10: a God and we are not him, that there is
- 25:02Speaker 10: an entire dimension of angels and demons and spirits that
- 25:06Speaker 10: are constantly struggling struggling around us, and that there is
- 25:09Speaker 10: a supernatural dimension as you mentioned, all of a sudden,
- 25:13Speaker 10: that does that make sense. It does not make any
- 25:17Speaker 10: rational sense to shut down your schools so you could
- 25:21Speaker 10: sacrifice the kids so the elderly can live. That makes
- 25:24Speaker 10: no sense whatsoever. It makes no sense whatsoever to keep
- 25:30Speaker 10: your marijuana dispensaries open and your alcohol shops open, but
- 25:33Speaker 10: the church non essential. Only a demonic enterprise would do
- 25:37Speaker 10: such a thing. Only a demonic enterprise would say that
- 25:42Speaker 10: Easter and Pentecost are non essential, but race, rioting and
- 25:47Speaker 10: burning down a Wendy's is essential activity.
- 25:51Speaker 1: And Tucker, you talk about this a lot.
- 25:54Speaker 10: For those of us that know the truth, we know
- 25:57Speaker 10: that our God is a god of order and distinction.
- 26:00Speaker 10: What is the first thing that God did in the
- 26:02Speaker 10: Hebrew scripture, as it says well and also our scripture
- 26:05Speaker 10: in the original Genesis bet are sheets, which is in
- 26:07Speaker 10: the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and
- 26:09Speaker 10: then he separated and he made sense.
- 26:11Speaker 7: He made order out of chaos.
- 26:13Speaker 10: Our God is a god of order, and order only
- 26:16Speaker 10: comes with distinctions, and distinctions are necessary. Think about all
- 26:21Speaker 10: the distinctions that God set up in the first six
- 26:23Speaker 10: books of Genesis that are currently under attack. The distinction
- 26:27Speaker 10: between male and female, the distinction between man and nature,
- 26:33Speaker 10: the distinction between the holy and the profane, the distinction
- 26:38Speaker 10: between good and evil, the distinction between infant and adults.
- 26:43Speaker 10: These distinctions have always been what Western civilization were built upon.
- 26:47Speaker 10: But it is Satan's goal to blur and eventually destroy
- 26:51Speaker 10: those distinctions because those distinctions of which we get order.
- 26:55Speaker 10: And if you do not have that order, then you
- 26:57Speaker 10: have the closest thing to satanic chaos here spot on.
- 27:00Speaker 2: And this is where I do believe we are turning
- 27:02Speaker 2: the tide in this country, where people are listening to
- 27:05Speaker 2: conservatives like they never had before in my lifetime certainly.
- 27:09Speaker 4: Well, and this is a spiritual battle. And part of
- 27:14Speaker 4: why I think Charlie was silenced is because he was
- 27:16Speaker 4: such an unapologetic voice for christ. You know Nicole Shanahan
- 27:20Speaker 4: who was ran as the vice presidential nominee with RFK Junior,
- 27:25Speaker 4: she posted something this week where she said, you have
- 27:29Speaker 4: to actually be willfully full of demonic hate to cheer
- 27:35Speaker 4: for that, And I think that's exactly right, that it
- 27:39Speaker 4: is demonic hate. The people who are filled with jubilation
- 27:45Speaker 4: that Charlie Kirk was murdered. That is a demonic level
- 27:51Speaker 4: of hatred and it's it is frightening just how normalized
- 27:57Speaker 4: that has become on the left. And another exact ample
- 28:00Speaker 4: of that is a back and forth exchange that I
- 28:03Speaker 4: had with Stephen King, the Horror author and it started
- 28:10Speaker 4: it started with Stephen King tweeting about Charlie Kirk. He
- 28:18Speaker 4: advocated stoning Gaze to death, just saying so that's what
- 28:24Speaker 4: he put out there, and he had millions and millions
- 28:26Speaker 4: of views. I have to admit that really pissed me off,
- 28:29Speaker 4: and so I responded to him, and I tweeted back
- 28:32Speaker 4: at him. I said, you are a horrible, evil, twisted liar.
- 28:39Speaker 3: No, he did not.
- 28:43Speaker 4: Your party, which you shamelessly shilled for, sent one hundred
- 28:49Speaker 4: billion dollars to the Ayahtola, who does routinely murder homosexuals.
- 28:55Speaker 4: Why are you so dishonest and filled with hate?
- 29:00Speaker 3: Now?
- 29:00Speaker 4: My response there got over thirteen million views, and Stephen
- 29:05Speaker 4: King suddenly found his rabid, hateful partisanship under real scrutiny
- 29:09Speaker 4: and criticism. And within hours, Stephen King deleted the tweet
- 29:15Speaker 4: and apologized, and he apologized over and over and over again.
- 29:18Speaker 4: So in response to me, Stephen King said, the horrible, evil,
- 29:23Speaker 4: twisted liar apologizes. This is what I get for reading
- 29:28Speaker 4: something on Twitter without fact checking. Won't happen again now.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Now I responded to that, and I said, I appreciate that.
- 29:36Speaker 4: Stephen King deleted the false tweet about Charlie Kirk and apologized.
- 29:40Speaker 4: All of us on both sides of the aisle should
- 29:43Speaker 4: treat each other with respect and decency, even if we
- 29:46Speaker 4: disagree on politics. Charlie did that every day and I
- 29:51Speaker 4: admired him for it. Now I want to address something here, Ben,
- 29:54Speaker 4: because back and forth in the debates on this, there
- 29:58Speaker 4: is a question, particularly among conservative how should we respond
- 30:01Speaker 4: to this left wing hate, And it is broken into
- 30:04Speaker 4: two categories. There are some that are saying we've got
- 30:07Speaker 4: to respond and fight them full force and go after them,
- 30:11Speaker 4: and there are others who are saying, well, both sides
- 30:14Speaker 4: are too overheated, and it is pejoratively characterized as both
- 30:18Speaker 4: sides ism in the debate. And I think the truth
- 30:22Speaker 4: is somewhere in the middle, and let me explain what
- 30:26Speaker 4: it means. And maybe this will tick off both sides
- 30:29Speaker 4: when I say this, but look, there are clearly standards
- 30:33Speaker 4: that should apply to everyone. Number One, political violence is
- 30:38Speaker 4: always always wrong, whether you agree with a person or
- 30:42Speaker 4: disagree with their politics. Someone being murdered for what they
- 30:47Speaker 4: are saying, for their speech, for their political views is wrong.
- 30:51Speaker 4: That should be accepted on both in every side. Number Two,
- 30:56Speaker 4: as a matter of decency, all of us should endeavor
- 31:01Speaker 4: to treat each other with respect and human dignity. That's
- 31:04Speaker 4: a standard I try to hold myself to and it's
- 31:07Speaker 4: a standard everyone should. So when you say that when
- 31:11Speaker 4: Stephen King, I didn't like his vile comment, but when
- 31:14Speaker 4: he deleted it and apologized, I wanted to say, Okay,
- 31:16Speaker 4: I appreciate that you deleted it and apologized. I wanted
- 31:18Speaker 4: to give some modicum of grace. You know, in part
- 31:21Speaker 4: I think Charlie would have accepted that apology. He wouldn't
- 31:25Speaker 4: necessarily have believed that Stephen King has suddenly reformed and
- 31:28Speaker 4: has turned from his wicked ways. Yeah, but allowing someone
- 31:33Speaker 4: to say, Okay, I'm sorry I was wrong, that has value.
- 31:38Speaker 4: But here's where the both sides ism is flat out wrong.
- 31:42Speaker 4: There's some and you see this like your old employer,
- 31:45Speaker 4: CNN loves to do this. Well, there's bad rhetoric on
- 31:49Speaker 4: both sides, and there's violence on both sides. This is
- 31:51Speaker 4: just a problem in the world. Well, no, this is
- 31:55Speaker 4: a problem that is particularly acute and prevalent on the
- 31:59Speaker 4: life left.
- 32:01Speaker 2: I go back to this, how many I mean we
- 32:03Speaker 2: watched one of our own be assassinated. Did any cities
- 32:07Speaker 2: get burned down?
- 32:08Speaker 7: No?
- 32:08Speaker 2: Not there any police officers that were attacked. No, was
- 32:12Speaker 2: there any assaults on people because of it? That were angry. No,
- 32:16Speaker 2: and yet they're mad. I love this headline from the
- 32:19Speaker 2: Daily Beasts, which, if you don't know what that is,
- 32:20Speaker 2: a hardcore liberal propaganda machine that has an incredible amount
- 32:25Speaker 2: of influence in the left. Their headline yesterday ten oh
- 32:29Speaker 2: five am. Keyboard Warriors, grieving this week's assassination of self
- 32:34Speaker 2: annointed champion of quote unquote free speech, Charlie Kirk, have
- 32:38Speaker 2: launched an online campaign to get anyone who criticizes him
- 32:44Speaker 2: fired from their jobs. Their subheadline is free speech crazed
- 32:49Speaker 2: Maga Karen's go full cancel culture on Kirk critics. No,
- 32:54Speaker 2: let's be clear about the people we are exposing.
- 32:57Speaker 1: It's people. They weren't criticizing Tari Kirk.
- 33:00Speaker 2: They were celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk in our
- 33:05Speaker 2: major positions of power at universities and at other jobs,
- 33:09Speaker 2: or things like we mentioned earlier where they refuse to
- 33:11Speaker 2: put up to print out a piece of paper for goodness.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Six.
- 33:15Speaker 4: Yeah, but ben, let me make two distinctions that are
- 33:17Speaker 4: important because it's easy to get these confused. Number One,
- 33:20Speaker 4: let's talk free speech. Yes, in the United States, the
- 33:24Speaker 4: First Amendment gives you the right to speech to speak
- 33:27Speaker 4: and not to be criminally prosecuted for it. So you
- 33:29Speaker 4: can say the most horrible hateful things. You do have
- 33:33Speaker 4: a First Amendment right to say unbelievably horrible hateful things.
- 33:37Speaker 4: You can say that you are celebrating the murder of
- 33:40Speaker 4: Charlie Kirk or anyone else. In the First Amendment will
- 33:42Speaker 4: protect your ability to do so, which means the government
- 33:45Speaker 4: cannot come prosecute you and put you in jail for
- 33:48Speaker 4: saying that. The First Amendment does not mean that you
- 33:53Speaker 4: are immune from the consequences of your speech. And if
- 33:57Speaker 4: you say things that are horrible and hateful, it is
- 34:01Speaker 4: not uncommon for someone to be terminated. So, for example,
- 34:06Speaker 4: at a university, if a student goes and decides to
- 34:10Speaker 4: dress in a white robe as a clansman and burn
- 34:13Speaker 4: across and say that we should murder African American students,
- 34:19Speaker 4: I guarantee you that student will be expelled from school. Now,
- 34:23Speaker 4: you can't prosecute him as a First Amendment right to
- 34:25Speaker 4: do that. So that is not a criminal offense to
- 34:27Speaker 4: do that, correct, but the university should absolutely expel him
- 34:33Speaker 4: because of just how noxious those views are. The same
- 34:37Speaker 4: is true here when you have teachers that are celebrating
- 34:42Speaker 4: cold blooded murder. There are consequences for that, but that's
- 34:46Speaker 4: a distinction. I'll point out also the president of the
- 34:49Speaker 4: Oxford Union who debated Charlie Kirk and is this vicious leftist.
- 34:55Speaker 4: He put out a tweet celebrating, let's effing go he said,
- 35:01Speaker 4: when Charlie Kirk was shot. This is a guy who
- 35:03Speaker 4: literally had one on one debated against Charlie Kirk. And
- 35:06Speaker 4: he is the incoming president of the Oxford Union, which
- 35:10Speaker 4: pretentiously describes itself as the world's greatest debating society. Look,
- 35:15Speaker 4: in my view, this individual ought to be expelled from
- 35:20Speaker 4: Oxford for the same reason you would expel him if
- 35:23Speaker 4: he were a klansman burning across and saying, let's murder
- 35:27Speaker 4: black students. Now, the United Kingdom does not have the
- 35:31Speaker 4: same First Amendment that applies to it the way the
- 35:33Speaker 4: United States does.
- 35:33Speaker 7: So.
- 35:34Speaker 4: Actually, in England, if he said that, he might well
- 35:37Speaker 4: be criminally prosecuted. I don't agree with criminally prosecuting speech.
- 35:41Speaker 4: But the First Amendment does not give you a get
- 35:44Speaker 4: out of jail free pass. Look, I promise you, any
- 35:48Speaker 4: one of you in your jobs, if you go in
- 35:51Speaker 4: and tell your boss go screw yourself.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you're gonna get fired.
- 35:54Speaker 4: You will get fired. You have a first mount right
- 35:56Speaker 4: to say so. But he also has a right to
- 35:59Speaker 4: terminate you. But let me say secondly on this both sides,
- 36:01Speaker 4: is the media really wants to say, gosh, political violence,
- 36:05Speaker 4: it's a problem that just occurs everywhere. No right now
- 36:09Speaker 4: is it is heavily concentrated on the left, and the
- 36:13Speaker 4: left has normalized political violence. We saw two separate assassination
- 36:17Speaker 4: attempts of Donald Trump. We saw this tragically successful assassination
- 36:23Speaker 4: of Charlie kirk Over, and we saw for a year
- 36:26Speaker 4: Antifa and Black Lives Matter riots. And I want to
- 36:29Speaker 4: read you some polling results that were done last year,
- 36:34Speaker 4: and people were asked, would it be justified to murder
- 36:40Speaker 4: Elon Musk? And would it be justified to murder Donald Trump?
- 36:45Speaker 4: And those who were self described left of center, fifty
- 36:50Speaker 4: point two percent said it would be justified to murder
- 36:55Speaker 4: Elon Musk, and fifty six percent said it would be
- 36:59Speaker 4: justified to m Donald Trump.
- 37:02Speaker 3: That is.
- 37:02Speaker 4: And and by the way, the right of center numbers
- 37:04Speaker 4: were fourteen point three percent and twenty point three percent,
- 37:07Speaker 4: So I wish all those numbers were zero. But this
- 37:11Speaker 4: is a problem on the left. This is a problem
- 37:15Speaker 4: when you define your opponent as Hitler, Nazi, evil fascist.
- 37:20Speaker 4: That is a permission structure to then say violence is
- 37:25Speaker 4: an appropriate response, and we need to see Democrats having
- 37:29Speaker 4: the courage to say.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Enough is enough. Look.
- 37:33Speaker 4: Bill Maher did a great job where he's in his monologue.
- 37:36Speaker 4: He said, let's be clear, Donald Trump is not Hitler.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Stop saying that.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Stop saying it exactly well, and I think now they're
- 37:42Speaker 2: realizing that using the words fascist and Hitler and these
- 37:46Speaker 2: types of things has dissensitized people and advocated and allowed
- 37:50Speaker 2: for this type of violence to become reality. Where the
- 37:54Speaker 2: big question you were asking is what's next. I do
- 37:58Speaker 2: want to say one thing that I think I've found
- 38:01Speaker 2: incredibly comforting is seeing how many young people are at
- 38:07Speaker 2: colleges this week in over college football. We're putting up
- 38:10Speaker 2: signs saying that they are Charlie Kirk. The number of
- 38:13Speaker 2: people that are following him now on Instagram exploited by
- 38:16Speaker 2: I don't think I'm wrong. I think it's millions of
- 38:18Speaker 2: people now who.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Are then I think it is likely that more people
- 38:23Speaker 4: have listened to Charlie Kirk speak in the last week
- 38:27Speaker 4: than did in the entirety of his life.
- 38:29Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's the silver lining.
- 38:33Speaker 4: His Christian testimony has become so powerful. I will say
- 38:37Speaker 4: his wife, Erica, the speech she gave this week reduced
- 38:41Speaker 4: me to tears. It was beautiful. God's anointing was upon
- 38:44Speaker 4: her as she did that. And a lot of people
- 38:47Speaker 4: who had never clicked on and watched Charlie Kirk say
- 38:50Speaker 4: anything this week did so and said, Hey, who is
- 38:52Speaker 4: this guy that touched so many people. I think a
- 38:56Speaker 4: lot of people chose to open their Bible and start
- 38:58Speaker 4: reading their Bible. A lot of people chose to go
- 38:59Speaker 4: to church. That is a great thing. That is something
- 39:02Speaker 4: I hope and believe we're going to see a lot
- 39:04Speaker 4: more of. And let me say in subsequent podcast, we're
- 39:07Speaker 4: going to talk about what's coming next. And here's one
- 39:11Speaker 4: of the most important things that I am urging the President,
- 39:15Speaker 4: the Department of Justice, the FBI to do, which is
- 39:17Speaker 4: follow the money. Follow the money of everyone that is
- 39:20Speaker 4: pushing this leftist hatred, that is pushing this violence. There
- 39:24Speaker 4: is real money that is going into these riots on campus,
- 39:27Speaker 4: that is going into funding ANTIFA, that is going into
- 39:30Speaker 4: funding Black Lives Matter, and we need to. This is
- 39:32Speaker 4: not just one isolated lunatic in Utah. We need to
- 39:36Speaker 4: follow the money behind the radicalization that is leading to
- 39:40Speaker 4: people being so twisted and engaging in these horrific acts
- 39:44Speaker 4: of violence.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Aim into that. Don't forget.
- 39:46Speaker 2: We do the show Monday Wednesday Friday. Please make sure
- 39:49Speaker 2: you share it wherever you can on social media so
