Transcript
- 0:00Good morning, Resurrection Church.
- 0:02My name is Richard. I am the high school youth
- 0:04director here at Rez. I'm so excited that you're here
- 0:06with us this morning. So a couple weeks ago, it was
- 0:12volleyball season for my daughter and we had a game that
- 0:16night and we weren't sure if she was going to play.
- 0:19So I was like, hey, I got other stuff to do.
- 0:21I do I really need to go. And then the Holy Spirit
- 0:24reminded me how many times God shows up for me even though I
- 0:27don't, I'm not going to play in the game.
- 0:30How many times it's not about my performance or how good I
- 0:34perform, but that God is always showing up for me.
- 0:38So we went to the game and it was awesome.
- 0:41But I want to remind you and encourage you with this is no
- 0:44matter what you're doing, no matter in the chaos of your
- 0:48life, how well you're performing or not, that God is going to
- 0:52show up for you. And he shows up for you every
- 0:54day. And maybe you're new to this
- 0:56whole Christian thing and you're, you're barely getting to
- 0:58know who God is. I want to let you know that he
- 1:00loves you and he cares about every intricate part in your
- 1:04life because he's a loving father.
- 1:08So today is going to be a little different.
- 1:11We are going to have our prayer service.
- 1:13And I'm so excited that we get to pray together as a church
- 1:16family. We get to practice what Pastor
- 1:19Daniel's been teaching us for the past couple weeks, how to
- 1:22pray. So we're going to go through the
- 1:24acronym space, right? We're going to praise Scripture.
- 1:28We're going to praise, we're going to acknowledge, do
- 1:31acknowledgement. We're going to have a time of
- 1:33confession, and we're going to entreat to the Lord.
- 1:36We're going to plead to the Lord with requests.
- 1:39So as we get to pray today as a church body, there's going to be
- 1:44a segment when we have open mic, you're going to be able to come
- 1:47up and you're going to get to pray your you have your prayer
- 1:50requests also. So if you're able to, would you
- 1:54stand and worship with us today? This.
- 2:14Is my story. I'll testify.
- 2:17Blessings on blessings be poured on my life.
- 2:22Start remembering how good you should.
- 6:38Yes, thank you, God. Hi, my name is Pastor Steve and
- 6:42I serve as one of your elders here.
- 6:44And it's my privilege to start us out today and pray the
- 6:49Scriptures. And we're going to be talking a
- 6:51little bit right now about God's character, but I want you to
- 6:55assume a position of prayer, kind of like Lee leads this
- 6:58worship, just actively, Not just, you know, humbly.
- 7:03Yes, humbly, but not just quietly.
- 7:05This is a time where we're worshiping and talking to God
- 7:09through His Word. So join me as I lead us out.
- 7:13Father in Heaven, we so grateful and thankful for the fact that
- 7:17you have allowed us to the privilege of coming to to you in
- 7:21prayer and even using your word. It says that the Lord is
- 7:25gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, and great and faithful
- 7:31love. The Lord is good to everyone.
- 7:35His compassion rests on all He has made, and you have made
- 7:40will, and all you have made will.
- 7:42Thank you Lord, the faithful will bless you.
- 7:47And Father, as we continue this time in prayer, we do bless you.
- 7:52We thank you so much for your compassion on us.
- 7:55The fact that you're slow to anger.
- 7:58Let us learn from that as we deal with our family, as we deal
- 8:02with our workmates, that we are slow to anger.
- 8:06That our brains process what's coming in so that we can
- 8:10respond. And love and compassion and
- 8:14goodness so that we might be able to build your church by one
- 8:21person at a time as we communicate that love that
- 8:25slowed us to anger, that greatness that you have given us
- 8:29in your name through your Word, through the preached word and
- 8:34the prayer word and the singing that we sing.
- 8:37Father, help us worship in all areas of our lives as we
- 8:41continue this time today in prayer, through worship, through
- 8:47song, through reading your Word and contemplating in our hearts
- 8:54our relationship with You. And all these things I pray in
- 8:58Jesus holy name, Amen. Well, good morning, everybody.
- 14:26My name is Pastor Dave. I'm the middle school director
- 14:28here at Resurrecting Church. In a moment, we are going to
- 14:31pray over our tithes and offerings.
- 14:34But before we do, I have a few things that you need to know for
- 14:37this week #1 if you have not yet and you desire to be baptized,
- 14:45December 7th is the week for you.
- 14:48People off, let's go. People often wonder.
- 14:51Come on, they wonder, does God have instructions for me?
- 14:55Does He give us steps in our lives?
- 14:57And absolutely, number 1, he says believe in Him, believe and
- 15:02entrust in Him with everything you do #2 immediately he says go
- 15:11be baptized, go get baptized. He doesn't say that because it
- 15:15seals your salvation. It doesn't solidify what he's
- 15:18doing. He tells us to.
- 15:20Because when God changes you, when He does something so
- 15:23amazing in your life, you have to tell other people about it.
- 15:27Amen. And the Bible gives us the most
- 15:31beautiful way to do that. And that is to follow and what
- 15:34we're commanded to do in the believers baptism, December 7th
- 15:40is that day, no matter how old you are, God calls us, go get
- 15:46baptized. Follow in His commands, do what
- 15:50He's asking, Show the people around, show the church, show
- 15:53your friends, show your family that you are sold out for God
- 15:58and you're doing what He asked you to do because you love Him
- 16:00so much, because he's changed you.
- 16:03December 7th, the following Sunday, December 14th, If you
- 16:10have a child now wives, I'm not talking about your husband's.
- 16:16If you have a child that you would like to be dedicated, here
- 16:22at the church, we have a child dedication service coming up.
- 16:26Child dedication services are so beautiful.
- 16:30It's an opportunity for you as the parent to commit what we
- 16:36know is the gift that God has given you.
- 16:41Commit that child to showing him and her what it's like to live a
- 16:47Christian life, to raise them in the way that God calls them to
- 16:51do in church. Church, this is a moment for us
- 16:57to commit our lives to these families, an opportunity for us
- 17:02to stand and pray with them and guide them and be there for them
- 17:06because we are not to do this alone.
- 17:09Amen. We are to do this together as a
- 17:13family and help each other raise each other and show them and
- 17:17help them guide them through the ways.
- 17:21So December 14th, both of these dates, both of these things have
- 17:27sign ups. We'd love for you to sign up.
- 17:29We'd love for you to go to our website and sign up for baptism,
- 17:32sign up for child dedications. We asked you to sign up so we
- 17:36know we can be prepared and, and, and hand you the, the stuff
- 17:42that we're going to do for dedication.
- 17:44And as we prepare to pray over our tithes and offerings.
- 17:47Last week, last week, we kicked off our Build 2026 campaign.
- 17:55We handed out pledge cards and we asked you to pray over these
- 17:59pledge cards. Pray about what God is calling
- 18:03you and how he asked you to respond to what He is doing here
- 18:07at Resurrection Church. In these services, 34
- 18:11salvations, 65 baptisms, 270 first time guests have shown up
- 18:20to Resurrection Church this year.
- 18:22The list of what God is doing in our church, it goes on virtually
- 18:26endless. So as we stare 2026 in the eyes,
- 18:33Resurrection Church is dedicated and moving with God and coming
- 18:39alongside him with all that He is already planning for us.
- 18:44Amen. This week, this week we ask you
- 18:49to take the next step. If you have not filled out that
- 18:53pledge card, consider doing it right now.
- 18:59If you have, if you filled it out, pray whether God is calling
- 19:04you to go even further. You can drop those pledge cards
- 19:10at any of your any of our offering boxes that they're all
- 19:13at the exit stations in the lobby.
- 19:16This is also how you can give to God's mission by dropping off
- 19:21your offerings in any of those offering boxes.
- 19:24Also, you can text give to the 888-976-7349.
- 19:31This is another way you can easily give to God's mission
- 19:34through Resurrection Church. Let me pray over these tithes
- 19:39and offerings and our 2026 pledge cards.
- 19:44Father God, we look at everything you're doing.
- 19:51We see it, God. We see you moving, we see your
- 19:53hand. We see people confessing that
- 19:55you are Lord, and we thank you God, We thank you that you are
- 20:02working. I ask that we step up, we step
- 20:05into your will, and we dedicate. We dedicate some of our money,
- 20:11our time, our ties, our offerings to you, God.
- 20:16We give to you because you command us to give joyfully.
- 20:21And God, I just see you do so many things.
- 20:26We thank you God in Jesus name, Amen.
- 20:33Let us continue our prayer service.
- 20:36We will now focus and recognize God's holiness.
- 20:44Isaiah 5715 says this. The high and lofty One who lives
- 20:50in eternity, the Holy One, says this.
- 20:53I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits
- 20:59are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of
- 21:03the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant
- 21:10hearts. Join as we pray, as we focus on
- 21:16God's holiness, let us pray. Father God, we gather here and
- 21:23take a moment to exalt you, to lift you up as the Holy One.
- 21:29We recognize how amazing you are, how massive, how completely
- 21:34set apart from all things bad. God, when I stand here and I
- 21:40think about it, it humbles me how holy you are.
- 21:44I'm in awe of you, God. Your words tell us that you are
- 21:49the high and lofty one who lives in eternity.
- 21:54You're the ultimate king sitting on the ultimate throne.
- 22:01It's hard to imagine, but your words tell us that your robes
- 22:04fill your temple with glory. We recognize that you are so
- 22:10holy that even powerful angels cover their eyes, cover the
- 22:14faces and Your holiness in reverence.
- 22:22This morning we echo their cries.
- 22:24Holy, holy, holy is the Lord. The whole earth is filled with
- 22:33your glory. We bow low before you, God, for
- 22:40you are Holy Father. Even even though you live in
- 22:47such a high and holy place, You are with us, God, You do not
- 22:53distance from us. You choose to live with those
- 22:59whose spirits are contrite and humble.
- 23:04Thank you for reaching out to us.
- 23:10Thank you for being the one who can restore our crushed spirits.
- 23:18Thank you for reviving us. We ask that you give us strength
- 23:27and the dedication to pursue Your Holiness to work at a life
- 23:36that you ask us to be holy. I pray every single person in
- 23:43this room makes the choice to be able to tell this to your face.
- 23:49Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is
- 23:59to come in Jesus name, Amen. Good morning.
- 34:30My name is Jeff Palmbach. I'm one of the elders here at
- 34:32Rez Church. This is a Elder Don Van Sickle
- 34:36up here with me, and we're going to lead the section on praise
- 34:40and Thanksgiving for what God has done in this church and what
- 34:46God has done through us. So if you'll join me as I pray
- 34:49through Scripture and as I pray through words, so let's go join
- 34:55together in prayer. Yours, Lord, is a greatness, and
- 35:00the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty for all
- 35:04that is in the heavens and earth is yours.
- 35:06Yours is a Kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as Head above
- 35:11all. Both riches and honor come from
- 35:13you, and you rule over all in your hand, Our power and might,
- 35:16in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.
- 35:20And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.
- 35:24Thank you Almighty God, that You would work in our lives and
- 35:27through our trials to build us into a people that are complete
- 35:31lacking nothing to love you and to love the people You place
- 35:35near us. Blessed be the name and God the
- 35:39Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ
- 35:42with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as He
- 35:46chose us in Him before the foundation of the world that we
- 35:50should be holy and blameless before Him.
- 35:53Thank you Lord, for Your plans for us as your people, that You
- 35:57have a future and a hope for us, that Your love is
- 36:01unconditionally, wholeheartedly in continuously towards us,
- 36:07Lord, that we can know you, each one of us personally.
- 36:12Thank you Lord, for the love you have given us for the next
- 36:15generations, the children, the Sunday School program, the youth
- 36:21and the teens, and the servants and leaders that love these
- 36:23kids, the camps and the volunteers that have brought
- 36:27community and kids and their families into your Kingdom.
- 36:30Thank you, God, for the great news of your salvation, that we,
- 36:34you would use us to show your love and hope to the next
- 36:38generation. We love you, Lord, We praise
- 36:41your holy name. We thank you for being with us
- 36:44here as we reach out to you and praise your wonderful name.
- 36:49Amen. Thanks, Jeff.
- 36:53So years ago, in an elder room, I remember being together and
- 37:00somebody said, we need to pray about this.
- 37:02And one of the pastor said, has it come to this?
- 37:06And if you knew Pastor Ted, that's his sense of humor.
- 37:09Pretty dry, right? But some people often think that
- 37:11it's the last resort. This is what we do as a last
- 37:15resort. But the truth of it is it's the
- 37:17first thing we do. And I so much appreciate this
- 37:21series on prayer and the elders and pastors, deacons of this
- 37:27church are devoted to prayer and ministry of the Word.
- 37:31And we realize how important it is.
- 37:33It's often talked about, but if you have a an attention span of
- 37:37a gnat like I do, it can be difficult to pray.
- 37:41But we are training ourselves and working diligently at being
- 37:45in prayer and offering up to God what what is his?
- 37:51When I start out in Psalms 106, praise the Lord, give thanks to
- 37:55the Lord for he is good and his love endures forever.
- 38:00Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we love you.
- 38:02We're in awe of you. We're so appreciative of how
- 38:06you're working the lives of your congregation.
- 38:08And as we answer the call to love you, love one another, make
- 38:13disciples of all nations, and bring glory to you.
- 38:16I love this church, this Church of yours and all that are part
- 38:20of it. Their love for you, the servant
- 38:23attitudes, the generosity of their gifts and their talents.
- 38:28May you bless them mightily. Colossians talks about whatever
- 38:32you do in Word or deed, do everything in the name of the
- 38:36Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- 38:40We thank you God for what you're doing in the lives of your
- 38:42people. It's amazing.
- 38:45We sit, we look at our community groups, discipleship programs,
- 38:48mentor groups, women's brunches, global missions, J Doe,
- 38:52everything that goes on there, local outreach.
- 38:56Amazing. And we realize, as we've heard
- 39:00recently, that our chief end is to glorify you and enjoy you
- 39:06forever. And from our community group,
- 39:10Philippians 4, it's kind of our go to do not be anxious about
- 39:14anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with
- 39:18Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
- 39:22And it keeps it keeps popping up in our group text and we talk
- 39:26about it regularly at group how important it is to be anxious
- 39:29for nothing. 2nd Corinthians talks about for our sake he made
- 39:37him to be sin who knew no sin so that in him we might become the
- 39:42righteousness of God. You might not know it, but out
- 39:44in the office there, it's on a sign.
- 39:47It's it's an amazing and without Jesus, without the resurrection,
- 39:51nothing else really matters. Amazing passages.
- 39:56I'll end with Zephaniah. The Lord your God is in your
- 39:59midst, a mighty one who will save.
- 40:03He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you by
- 40:08his love. He will exult over you with loud
- 40:11singing. Think about this church.
- 40:14We have this mighty Savior, powerful and capable of saving
- 40:17people. He's present, He's in our midst,
- 40:20He's with us, He's calming us, He's singing to us, and He wants
- 40:24to spend eternity with us. What an amazing, what an amazing
- 40:27passage. We love you Lord, We thank you
- 40:30for this day of prayer. We thank you for this time of
- 40:33worship. We pray these things in Jesus
- 40:35name and for his sake. Amen.
- 40:37Amen. Well, church, when we read the
- 40:46Bible and we look at what did, what did church service look
- 40:49like when it started in the very beginning as as disciples and
- 40:54and believers begin to come to Christ, man, what did, what did
- 40:57those church services look like? And what we find as early as
- 41:00Acts 2 when the first church met, is that as they gathered,
- 41:04they all had prayers of Thanksgiving and hymns and songs
- 41:09and an opportunity to participate when they gathered
- 41:12together to encourage one another.
- 41:15My friend Nathan talked to me about his experience in the
- 41:18Plymouth Brethren churches where they would come together and
- 41:22each of them would be able to stand and, and speak to the
- 41:24goodness of God and, and read verses and pray out loud.
- 41:29We have a really cool church here in town called the River in
- 41:31the Way where they meet in homes and everyone gets to participate
- 41:34in those services. And so I think one of the
- 41:38laments of being a pastor and an elder is to feel like at times
- 41:41we're here entertaining you. It is your relationship with the
- 41:46Lord. We're not a substitute for that.
- 41:48You get to participate. Hebrews would say the veil
- 41:52between US and God was torn so that you and I could have
- 41:54personal access to God. And so we're here on
- 41:58Thanksgiving week, and we're in this segment thanking God.
- 42:02And I guarantee you, you won't have to think very hard to find
- 42:06some things in your life that you can thank God for.
- 42:08Amen. Amen.
- 42:09So here's what we do. We've got microphones here on
- 42:12either side. You're going to come up and
- 42:15you're just going to thank the Lord.
- 42:16It's your opportunity. This is called congregational
- 42:19prayer, to come up and to say a prayer of Thanksgiving to your
- 42:22Father. And so you move as the Lord
- 42:24leads. You will take a few minutes, and
- 42:26then we'll move on to the next segment of prayer.
- 42:28Go ahead. Heavenly Father, we come before
- 42:44you in the name of Jesus Christ and we just ask you to please be
- 42:46with us. Look over the church, look over
- 42:50the elders. We pray for them that they have
- 42:52wisdom, that they have the care that they know to go out to the
- 42:55communities. And we were given the Great
- 42:58Commission of making creating disciples.
- 43:01And we just ask you to put it in a heart, heart in our hearts to
- 43:04go out and do that. We just like like Elder Don said
- 43:09that without Jesus, nothing else matters, you know, and I ask you
- 43:12just to please in our hearts, bring us back to the basics and
- 43:15know from Alpha to Omega, it's all about Jesus in our hearts.
- 43:20Please rotten us to love kindness.
- 43:24We just ask you to be with us and we thank you for the
- 43:26blessings in our lives, the ones that have already come to pass
- 43:30and the ones that will surely come to pass in the future.
- 43:33We just thank you, Lord. We ask you to please be with us.
- 43:36Look over us and our families and our times of need.
- 43:39And we just thank you so much in Jesus name, Amen.
- 43:45Father, I am so thankful for your word.
- 43:49I'm a thankful that it's alive and well in my life.
- 43:53And just recently, as I was crying out to you, Father I,
- 44:01your word came. To my mind, seek my face.
- 44:07And it seems like when we seek your face that all other things
- 44:12pale away. And I am so grateful.
- 44:15Thank you so much. Father, I am thankful that you
- 44:26are the way, the truth and the life, and no one comes to the
- 44:30Father except through the Son. I'm thankful for that You put up
- 44:36with me all those years of rebellion and having my own way
- 44:42and that you brought me through that and let me live long enough
- 44:48to kind of get my attention. And just I thank you for a
- 44:54church that emphasizes prayer. And I just pray for our elders
- 45:01and our pastors and for the congregation that we may always
- 45:07pay attention to you also. Thank you that I'm able to get
- 45:12up in the morning and we give you praise and glory and honor
- 45:16in Jesus name, Amen. When our life is full of
- 45:28blessings, when we have our hands full of relationships with
- 45:34children, with work, it seems like we should just be
- 45:40overwhelmed by the generosity of God.
- 45:43But so often when we have our hands full of children and work
- 45:48and relationships, we find that instead our anxieties multiply
- 45:54our our fear of losing what we have multiplies.
- 45:57And so the things that we've prayed for and, and asked for
- 46:01and hoped for, the things that by every right, we should be on
- 46:07our knees thanking and praising God for become burdens.
- 46:10Not because of not because it was a trick or a lie.
- 46:15Like God convinced us to like go get married or go have kids.
- 46:20And then that was really a trap. But just because life is hard,
- 46:26life is difficult, it's hard to predict what the future holds.
- 46:31And so the truth of all of these blessings is that they really
- 46:35are the generosity and the riches of God, but only in
- 46:41surrender to God, only with open hands, recognizing that what he
- 46:47gave he can take away. And what He's given to us isn't
- 46:52ours to hold on to with closed fists, but to, to share, to both
- 47:00receive and to give to others. And so God, I, I thank you that
- 47:06it's only in surrender that I'm free.
- 47:08It's only when I release the blessings of family, of
- 47:15children, of of work and responsibilities, that I can
- 47:18find freedom in those things. I thank You that we can find
- 47:24relief from our anxieties and freedom from pain and suffering,
- 47:30not by running away from our problems, God, but by daily,
- 47:35again and again, laying all that You've given us, every
- 47:39responsibility at your feet, and trusting that Your will, not
- 47:44ours, Your power and not ours, Your strength and not ours, is
- 47:49sufficient to meet all of our needs, to provide for us until
- 47:54the end, and to build Your Kingdom here on earth.
- 47:57Thank You that You are enough, even when we are weak, even when
- 48:00we are small. Amen.
- 48:08Lord, I thank you for your perfect mercy and your perfect
- 48:13grace, and I also thank you so much for your faithfulness.
- 48:20And I thank you for the change in my life, in my heart that you
- 48:25have made over this past year. Lord, I thank you so much for
- 48:32the pastors, the elders, the the friends I have in the
- 48:36discipleship group, Simon. And I just feel like my life
- 48:40keeps getting better and better whenever I just immerse myself
- 48:44and you, Lord, And so I thank you for that.
- 48:47I thank you that your burden of love is just so your your burden
- 48:54is light, Lord, It's because you always show us love and and I
- 48:59thank you so much for having the long legs that you do and you
- 49:03chase us down in our sin whenever we need correction,
- 49:08Lord. And I just thank you for for the
- 49:13life that I have here on earth until I'm with you, Lord, I just
- 49:18want to be a light to other people.
- 49:21And I just want to spread your word.
- 49:24And I'm just incredibly grateful for this church and how the
- 49:29church is growing and serving in the church.
- 49:32And I've learned most, Lord, that, you know, it's not about
- 49:36what position that you serve in in church.
- 49:39It's it's where your heart's AT. And I just thank you for being
- 49:47in my life because without church and the activities, I
- 49:51have no idea where I would be right now, Lord.
- 49:53So I just thank you for your perfect mercy, your perfect
- 49:56grace and your faithfulness, especially whenever my family,
- 50:02we, we would say, OK, we're going to put our trust in you,
- 50:05Lord. And you know, maybe we're going
- 50:09to choose to up our our tithing and you still show us how
- 50:13faithful you are to provide. And Lord, I just thank you for
- 50:18all of the blessings. In your name we pray.
- 50:21Amen. Our heavenly Father, dear and
- 50:26precious Lord, I come before you this day.
- 50:28Father God, with praise and adoration in my heart, I lift up
- 50:31praise into your holy place for setting my feet back upon the
- 50:35rock. Father, you've given me power
- 50:37over the darkness that has plagued me, plagued me, plagued
- 50:40me my my whole life, and I claim that victory over my addiction.
- 50:44I lift up my marriage to Shan unto you Father God and I pray
- 50:47for the 91st time that you would get charged over your angels to
- 50:50watch this in all of our ways lest we dash or put against a
- 50:54stone. God, I'm thankful for your
- 50:56provision and your power where I am weak.
- 50:58I lift the resurrection church to you Father God.
- 51:00I just pronounce a blessing financially that they would be
- 51:03able to reach out to community in a mighty way, Lord.
- 51:06I lift up all those who are hurting, who are lost here Lord,
- 51:09and I just pray completion and strength through your name in.
- 51:13The name of beauty. Christ, I pray all these things.
- 51:15Amen. Dear Heavenly Father God, I'm
- 51:20just so grateful for the people of Resurrection Church, the
- 51:25people that you've placed in my life.
- 51:28When I've needed people, they've surrounded me with their love
- 51:32and their care. They've lifted me up, and then
- 51:37you've given me the opportunity to lift others up when they
- 51:41needed me. God, I just thank you for the
- 51:45servant heart that you've given the people here.
- 51:48And I pray that you will continue to bless this church,
- 51:53that you will continue to put upon our hearts the people of
- 51:59our community, of our state, of our nation, and around the world
- 52:03who need us. God, they need us to step up.
- 52:08They need you. And I just pray that you would
- 52:12continue to work through us and that you would continue our
- 52:17mission here with love and compassion and care.
- 52:23I ask these things in Jesus name, Amen.
- 52:32Lord, where do I begin? Let's start with thank you for
- 52:38saving us. We wouldn't have been here
- 52:43without you, without your providing, without your love,
- 52:47without your guidance. I thank you for saving my family
- 52:53from the depths of hell, from saving my family from these
- 52:56earthly demises. I thank you for a home that we
- 53:00can call our own. And I'm thankful that I was able
- 53:05to stay here and see it. I'm thank you.
- 53:09I'm thankful for a lot of things, Lord, and you already
- 53:12know what they are, but I just want to speak them out to you
- 53:15again. Thank you.
- 53:17In your heavenly name I pray, Amen.
- 53:23Lord, there's so much that I could come to you with
- 53:27Thanksgiving for right now. Lord, I could tell you I'm so
- 53:31grateful for a marriage that's thriving when I've tried to blow
- 53:35it so often. I can tell you how grateful I am
- 53:38just for your provision and, and the lack of my unfaithfulness.
- 53:42And Lord, I could tell you how grateful I am for this, this
- 53:46church. But, but Lord, above all else, I
- 53:49am grateful that you have paid the price that that I could not
- 53:53pay. I'm grateful for your son.
- 53:56I'm grateful for salvation. And, and Lord, this morning, I
- 54:00pray for your church. Lord, I, I don't pray for the
- 54:03world. We do not pray for the world.
- 54:05Your son did not pray for the world.
- 54:07He prayed for his own. And so, Father, this morning I
- 54:11pray for your church and I am so grateful that the building of
- 54:15the church does not rest with us.
- 54:18It rests with you. You said I.
- 54:19I will build my church. Lord, you are doing that work.
- 54:25And so Father I, I pray for our leaders that you would give them
- 54:28even more hunger for your word, even more hunger for depth.
- 54:32It take them deeper than they ever thought they could go Lord,
- 54:37make your word go forward and just continue to keep us.
- 54:41Lord, you are the one who keep us.
- 54:42You are the one who sustains us. It is not up to us.
- 54:46You do the work, all you have ever called us to do.
- 54:49You is be faithful. So Father, that is my prayer
- 54:53this morning is that you make us a people of your word.
- 54:56Take us even deeper and Lord, help us continue to remain
- 55:01faithful to to the preaching and teaching of the Scriptures and
- 55:06help us remain focused on building up your people,
- 55:10building up the church and making disciples.
- 55:12Help us keep focused on that and help us not to get distracted by
- 55:17the world, by programs, but help us stay focused on the good news
- 55:22that you have delivered once and all to the Saints.
- 55:26Amen. Lord, you are holy, holy, holy,
- 55:31and I thank you for that. I thank you.
- 55:36Without you, without what you did to your Son, I wouldn't be
- 55:41standing here today. Family that you've given me
- 55:46coming to this church, Lord, I am grateful and thankful for as
- 55:51they encourage one another, The things I've seen here, Lord,
- 55:54I've never seen in any other churches.
- 55:58And I just thank you for that time and thank you.
- 56:01For guiding me here, in your mighty name I pray.
- 56:04Amen. Dear Lord our Father, I just
- 56:14want to thank you for saving me from the darkest steps of
- 56:18myself. And not.
- 56:20Ending my life and being able to be here and see my son grow and.
- 56:25Lord, I pray. That you can put a blanket of
- 56:28love around my son and my wife. That they know that my wife can
- 56:35come to you, Lord, and I could be here at church with my wife
- 56:39and my boy. But thank you for giving me the
- 56:42strength to become the man I am today.
- 56:44If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be here.
- 56:47And thank you to the Rez for being a family to me, a family
- 56:52that I really didn't have much of growing up.
- 56:56So thank you very much, Lord, Thank you.
- 57:03Lord God, you are so good. You're so good.
- 57:08You're so faithful. You're so holy, Lord, I thank
- 57:12you that you draw near to the broken hearted.
- 57:16I thank you that you provide peace beyond our understanding.
- 57:20I thank you that you heal deep wounds.
- 57:23God, only you can do that. Lord Jesus, I thank you that
- 57:29even through the church's troubles the last several
- 57:32months, God, that you are still working.
- 57:35You are doing a work. You are changing hearts.
- 57:39You are changing minds. You are renewing people's minds.
- 57:43You are giving hearts of flesh to replace the hardest stone.
- 57:47You are giving salvations freely.
- 57:51You are leading people to be baptized.
- 57:53God, you are doing such a work. You're raising up group leaders.
- 57:56You're raising up mentors, you're raising up people in
- 57:59ministry, you're raising up people to disciple others, Lord,
- 58:03and you're softening others hearts to be discipled.
- 58:06You are doing such a work, God. You are convicting people to lay
- 58:11down their sin and they are obeying you.
- 58:13God, you are doing such a work through this community and I'm
- 58:17so grateful to be a part of it. I'm so grateful to witness your
- 58:21faithfulness to draw a sin and to sanctify us.
- 58:25God, you are so faithful. This place doesn't have to be
- 58:29perfect because you are. You are perfect Lord, and you
- 58:34are going to use it no matter what.
- 58:38I thank you for that power, God, that is going to carry us
- 58:42through. You are doing such a work
- 58:44through this church, Lord Jesus, you've given this community such
- 58:47a special heart of service and just loving on one another.
- 58:54Lord, there's nothing like it anywhere else that I've seen.
- 58:57I'm so grateful that you brought me and my family here, Lord
- 59:00Jesus, you are doing such an incredible work, Lord God, I'm
- 59:04so excited to see what else you're going to do through this
- 59:07incredible place. Thank you, Lord.
- 59:16Germany, father, I just want to thank you for this church and
- 59:19all the people that are in this church.
- 59:22Our small group stared at me, father, and men that are in my
- 59:26men's group. Thank you for being there for
- 59:31us, Germany Father, even though we deserve it.
- 59:40Thank the Heavenly Father. Hallelujah, Hallelujah, praise.
- 59:46The. Jesus, Hallelujah, Thank you the
- 59:50heavenly Father. We praise and worship you, the
- 59:54heavenly Father. Hallelujah, Hallelujah.
- 59:59Thank you Jesus. Thank you Jesus, God, I.
- 1:00:11Thank you for godly community, for the women that you encourage
- 1:00:17it, encourage to be vulnerable and to speak truth with love and
- 1:00:22kindness. I'm so grateful for my family,
- 1:00:27for my children that challenge me to be healthier and grow
- 1:00:32every single day. I'm so thankful for the ability
- 1:00:38to break generational chains, even though it's so hard.
- 1:00:46I'm so grateful for your sanctification process, for your
- 1:00:51relationship, for your companionship through so much
- 1:01:03grief and hardship and challenges in life.
- 1:01:08It's so easy just to want everything to be easy.
- 1:01:12But the hard moments are what grow us, and I'm learning to be
- 1:01:20grateful. Not positively toxic, but
- 1:01:28grateful even for pain, for obedience, and for your love
- 1:01:37that just keeps pushing me every single day in Jesus name, Amen.
- 1:01:47Oh Father God, I'm so grateful that you chase us down even when
- 1:01:52we're far away from you and you never give up.
- 1:01:54Lord, thank you for bringing us to this church So.
- 1:02:02Just grateful and thankful in Jesus name I pray.
- 1:02:19God, I almost forgot to thank you for financial peace that the
- 1:02:26churches having members go through on Wednesday and
- 1:02:29Thursday nights. Lord, you know, you take
- 1:02:31something with the church's struggles, as JC said the past
- 1:02:36couple of months and how you're going to take something and just
- 1:02:42completely make it beautiful. The lives that are being
- 1:02:45transformed on Wednesday and Thursday nights, Lord, through
- 1:02:49this program, just the just the amount of time that my husband
- 1:02:56and I actually now spend talking about finances without yelling
- 1:03:01or rolling our eyes at each other.
- 1:03:04We're almost showing each other the app like we would YouTube
- 1:03:07videos. So I just thank you that in
- 1:03:10spite of the church having some financial difficulties in the
- 1:03:14past, Lord, how many lives are going to come out changed
- 1:03:17because of that, that are going to come out better from it?
- 1:03:22So I thank you so much for that, Lord.
- 1:03:30Heavenly Father, in Psalm 51 it says, let me hear joy and
- 1:03:35gladness. Let the bones that you have
- 1:03:38broken rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and
- 1:03:43blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O
- 1:03:47God, and renew a right spirit within me.
- 1:03:51Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy
- 1:03:55Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your
- 1:03:59salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.
- 1:04:07Heavenly Father, I just. I thank you and praise you for
- 1:04:11allowing us to be your church. I just thank you and praise you
- 1:04:17for. All the wonderful blessings that
- 1:04:21you've given us, all the tremendous things that you're
- 1:04:25doing within our church and within my family.
- 1:04:30Lord, it's so easy to just look at the path that you've put in
- 1:04:34front of us and and treat it like an escalator.
- 1:04:38We just get on and stand there and oh, God's going to move me,
- 1:04:45but I know that's not the way it's supposed to be.
- 1:04:47Heavenly Father, the path that you put in front of us, we have
- 1:04:50to walk. We have to do the effort.
- 1:04:54We have to do the work, Heavenly Father.
- 1:04:58So I just ask that that you allow us to rejoice in your
- 1:05:02work, rejoice in the the tasks that you've put before us, and
- 1:05:08help us to to be faithful servants of Jesus.
- 1:05:15In your name we pray. Amen.
- 1:05:17One more on each side. Father, I just want to thank you
- 1:05:22for your faithfulness. A year ago today, my family was
- 1:05:29broken and you restored us. You gave me Psalm 40, which says
- 1:05:40I waited patiently for the Lord to help me.
- 1:05:44And he turned to me and he. Heard my cry, he.
- 1:05:50Lifted me out of the mud and the mire.
- 1:05:54He said my feet on a solid rock. He has given me a new song to
- 1:05:59sing, a hymn of praise to my God.
- 1:06:02Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
- 1:06:06They will put their trust in the Lord.
- 1:06:10Father, thank you. Thank you that today my family
- 1:06:15is whole. Thank you that you are restoring
- 1:06:20God. God, I could not have pictured
- 1:06:25this day. I couldn't have pictured me
- 1:06:27standing here thanking you. But you are faithful, and I know
- 1:06:33that you have plans for so many families to be restored.
- 1:06:39We just praise you and we thank you and remember that you are
- 1:06:43the faithful God. We love you.
- 1:06:57Lord. I just want to echo what so many
- 1:06:59have said this morning about your faithfulness.
- 1:07:01So often when I am in the middle of challenging circumstances,
- 1:07:05it's easy to turn and shake my fist at you and say, how could
- 1:07:09you do this to me? God, where are you?
- 1:07:14And so I thank you for the times in my past that I can look back
- 1:07:18on and recognize your faithfulness and know that you
- 1:07:22are unchanging and therefore you are going to be in the
- 1:07:26challenging circumstance that I am in right now.
- 1:07:31So I thank you for that. Lord, I thank you for your
- 1:07:34testimony in my life that I can use that to preach to myself
- 1:07:41about your unending faithfulness.
- 1:07:47Thank you for your goodness to us.
- 1:07:49Thank you for your Son and his sacrifice.
- 1:07:54In the name of Jesus, Amen. Morning Resurrection Church.
- 1:08:01It's so beautiful to hear the thankfulness from everybody.
- 1:08:06Now we're going to move into our segment of giving, asking God
- 1:08:11for our request, requesting things from our heavenly Father.
- 1:08:16We are going to ask for provision in Philippians 419 it
- 1:08:22says, and my God will supply every need of yours according to
- 1:08:26his riches and glory in Christ Jesus.
- 1:08:30But we also want wisdom amongst all that provision that that God
- 1:08:34will give us. Well, it says, if any of you
- 1:08:38lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all
- 1:08:41without reproach, and it will be given to him.
- 1:08:48Father, we just come boldly before you right now as your
- 1:08:51sons and daughters joint heirs with Jesus.
- 1:08:55Father, Lord, that you promised, Father, that we would receive
- 1:09:01power, but through the Holy Spirit, Lord, He would come upon
- 1:09:05us and that we would be your witnesses in our local
- 1:09:09community, our Jerusalem, Lord, our Judea, Lord, those people
- 1:09:13who are transplanted among us and Samaria into the ends of the
- 1:09:17earth. Father, Lord, Father, I just
- 1:09:20praise You that we are here right now with the power of Your
- 1:09:25Holy Spirit. And we just entreat You, Lord,
- 1:09:29to give us that power, to be able to reach into the hearts
- 1:09:33and minds of our loved ones. Those people that we know,
- 1:09:37Father, that need to come to know you, Father, Lord, that you
- 1:09:41would send laborers for the harvest.
- 1:09:45Those laborers for the harvest, Father, would have the power of
- 1:09:49your Holy Spirit, Lord, and they would speak Your words of truth.
- 1:09:54And those words of truth, Father, which we know do not
- 1:09:57come back void, Father, would find the good fertile soil and
- 1:10:02transform their hearts, transform their minds, Father,
- 1:10:06and germinate and grow. 3060 and a hundredfold, Lord, and that
- 1:10:10you would multiply, Father, this congregation, this church, our
- 1:10:15community, our neighborhoods, Father and Lord, that we would
- 1:10:19be able to reach out, Lord, with your, be your hands and your
- 1:10:23feet, Lord, be your, your love, be the very motive of your love,
- 1:10:29Father, to reach these folks in all the power and the glory of
- 1:10:35your name, we pray Jesus. Of all the things we're asking
- 1:10:46God for as we entreat Him, the one that is for me, preeminent
- 1:10:51is that men and women would be saved.
- 1:10:55We've been praying as pastors in this town, as elders in this
- 1:10:59church for revival in Bakersfield, in Kern County.
- 1:11:05And I'm going to just pray, pray some scripture, and we're going
- 1:11:08to lift up our hearts and our voices to God and cry out to him
- 1:11:12that he would come and save people in this city.
- 1:11:15By the most recent estimate, only about 8% of this county is
- 1:11:19saved. 92% of Kern County does not know Christ as King.
- 1:11:27Let's pray. Blessed be you, our God and
- 1:11:31Father, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, because you have blessed
- 1:11:36us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the
- 1:11:39heavenly places, even as You chose us in Him before the
- 1:11:43foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless
- 1:11:46before Him in love. You predestined us for adoption
- 1:11:51to yourself as sons through Christ Jesus, according to the
- 1:11:56purpose of Your will, to the praise of your glorious grace
- 1:11:59with which you have blessed us in the Beloved.
- 1:12:03In Christ we have redemption through His blood, the
- 1:12:07forgivenesses of our trespasses, according to the riches of Your
- 1:12:12grace which You have lavished upon us in all wisdom and
- 1:12:14insight, making known to us the mystery of Your will, according
- 1:12:19to Your purpose, which you set forth in Christ as a plan for
- 1:12:24the fullness of time to unite all things in Christ, things in
- 1:12:28heaven, and things on earth. In Him and in Christ we have
- 1:12:32obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to
- 1:12:36the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel
- 1:12:40of His will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ,
- 1:12:46might be to the praise of His glory in Him also.
- 1:12:49When you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
- 1:12:52salvation and believed in Him were sealed with the promised
- 1:12:54Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance
- 1:12:59until we acquire possession of it.
- 1:13:01To the praise of Your glory, Father, thousands and thousands
- 1:13:08of years ago you prophesied in the book of Joel that someday
- 1:13:12you would pour out your Spirit and save men and women who were
- 1:13:17lost in sin and hopeless without you.
- 1:13:21You said, And it shall come to pass afterwards, that I will
- 1:13:24pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters
- 1:13:29shall prophecy, Your old men shall dream dreams, and your
- 1:13:32young men shall see visions. And even on the male and female
- 1:13:35servants in those days I will pour out my spirit, and I will
- 1:13:38show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and
- 1:13:43columns of smoke. And the sun shall be turned to
- 1:13:45darkness and the moon to blood before the great and awesome day
- 1:13:48of the Lord comes. And it shall come to pass that
- 1:13:50everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- 1:13:53For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those
- 1:13:57who escape, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors
- 1:14:00shall be those whom the Lord calls the Father.
- 1:14:05When you sent Peter out to the crowds of Pentecost, as the Holy
- 1:14:07Spirit came down for the first time to dwell amongst people, He
- 1:14:11read these very words to that crowd, and he preached your
- 1:14:18gospel. But because of your Son Jesus
- 1:14:23Christ, because of His life, because of His death, because of
- 1:14:25His resurrection, all men could be saved.
- 1:14:31So, Father, we cry out for the people in this room who do not
- 1:14:36know you. We cry out for the people who
- 1:14:38are watching. We cry out for the people so
- 1:14:42lost in sin that they're not here and they don't know you and
- 1:14:45they don't know church. So they don't know faith.
- 1:14:47They don't know how to hope. They don't know encouragement,
- 1:14:49they don't know life. We cry out for our brothers, for
- 1:14:55our sister churches all around town who are preaching the same
- 1:14:58gospel. We cry out Father, we cry.
- 1:15:02We entreat you to pour out your spirit on this city and this
- 1:15:07county God, to cut and Pierce men to the heart, to convict us
- 1:15:11of our sin, to show us what hope looks like.
- 1:15:14We cry out, We cry out in Jesus name, Amen.
- 1:15:26If you do not know Christ is King today, I want to invite you
- 1:15:31to take a step forward, to put your faith in Christ, to change
- 1:15:38not just your future, but your eternal future forever.
- 1:15:40So this is what we're going to do.
- 1:15:44There are many requests in this church.
- 1:15:46I know we pray for them. There's some that we know of.
- 1:15:49There's probably many we don't. Our prayer team is going to come
- 1:15:51up here. We want to pray with you and for
- 1:15:55you and over you. We want to pray for your
- 1:15:57request, the ones we already know about.
- 1:15:59We want to pray for the request that you haven't told anybody
- 1:16:01about. We want to pray for your
- 1:16:03confession of sin. We want to pray for your hope
- 1:16:05and your dream. We want to pray that God would
- 1:16:08bind up your wounds. We want to pray for your future.
- 1:16:11We want to pray for you. And if you're ready to take a
- 1:16:15next step to put your faith in Christ for the first time ever,
- 1:16:18we want to pray for you. We want to walk with you.
- 1:16:22We want to get you signed up for baptism.
- 1:16:25We even heat the water before we nunk you.
- 1:16:29So our prayer team's coming up. You move as the Lord leads.
- 1:16:32Please stand with me. We're going to sing a song as we
- 1:16:33close. We're going to just take a time
- 1:16:36where everyone can be prayed for.
- 1:16:38You don't even have to do it in the microphone.
- 1:16:43You move as the Lord leads you. We love you, Church.
- 1:18:36more that could ever come close. Nothing can come there.
- 1:18:45You're our living cool. You're praising it.
- 1:20:18aware of your presence. Let us experience the glory of
- 1:20:26your goodness. Let us become more aware of your
- 1:20:34presence. Let us experience the glory of
- 1:21:37You are will. Come here, come fly this place
- 1:21:44and fill the atmosphere. Your glory, God, is what our
- 1:21:52hearts long for to be overcome. Church, it was a good day.
- 1:22:20As you leave into a Thanksgiving week and into a world that most
- 1:22:25of which is far from God, let me pray this blessing over you.
- 1:22:30The Lord spoke this to Moses. Saying this, You shall say to
- 1:22:34them, The Lord bless you and keep you.
- 1:22:38The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
- 1:22:41The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
- 1:22:46So they put my name upon the people of Israel and I will
- 1:22:49bless them. Go church and be a light in a
- 1:22:54dark place and know that you carry in you the God, the
- 1:22:58Creator, the Architect of all things of heaven and earth.
- 1:23:04We love you and we'll see you next week.
