- 0:00Speaker 1: Today show is pre recorded.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Y'all know what time y'all don't know y'all at all?
- 0:10Speaker 2: Soon given them black a million bus bussy.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Yeah, listening to show to.
- 0:39Speaker 4: Joy? Yeah, Joy, you know you.
- 1:06Speaker 5: Love.
- 1:06Speaker 2: You gotta turn.
- 1:29Speaker 6: You got to turn the mouth.
- 1:42Speaker 7: Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 1: You probably got to turn the mouth. Turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: of the money up.
- 1:55Speaker 8: Come come on you're thinking that, I sure will. Good
- 2:04Speaker 8: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:07Speaker 8: dig me now. One and all is Steve Harvey. Man
- 2:10Speaker 8: got a radio show. Steve Harvey got a radio show
- 2:13Speaker 8: because God in the blessing business. Yeah, that's all. I'm
- 2:18Speaker 8: just a recipient. Steve Harvey got a radio show because God.
- 2:22Speaker 9: Is in the show. You favor business. He showed me
- 2:26Speaker 9: some favor.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Steve Harvey got a radio show because God is in
- 2:30Speaker 5: a forgiving business. God then forgave me thousands and thousands
- 2:40Speaker 5: of times, you know. And I say that as a
- 2:43Speaker 5: big number like that, because it's probably true. God is
- 2:48Speaker 5: a forgiving God. That's how it exists today, and that's
- 2:51Speaker 5: how you exist today. And one of the things I
- 2:53Speaker 5: want to remind you about even in existing today. You know,
- 2:57Speaker 5: Joel Ostein has a book I'll call It's Your Time.
- 3:01Speaker 5: I love this book. It's called It's Your Time, and
- 3:05Speaker 5: that's kind of what I want to touch on today.
- 3:07Speaker 9: And I want to remind you all that it's still
- 3:11Speaker 9: your time.
- 3:13Speaker 5: See, you know there's look, you know, they've got unsuccessful
- 3:19Speaker 5: people have created a lot of sayings to justify our
- 3:25Speaker 5: failures as people. Well, my ship has passed. That was
- 3:32Speaker 5: created by a person who did not quite make their
- 3:37Speaker 5: goal in the amount of time that they had set for.
- 3:40Speaker 5: So to justify it, here comes this great, seemingly very
- 3:44Speaker 5: clever saying, and a lot of us adapt, Well, my
- 3:47Speaker 5: ship has passed, so we adopt that.
- 3:50Speaker 9: Here's another one. Well, I guess it just wasn't meant
- 3:53Speaker 9: to be. Now that sounds good, don't.
- 3:56Speaker 5: It, Because they mix it up with a little.
- 3:59Speaker 9: Bit of faith base in it. I guessed it was.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Well, here's another one. I guess if God wanted it
- 4:05Speaker 5: for me, i'd have it. Are you serious, man? Are
- 4:10Speaker 5: you serious? You're actually gonna use that one to justify
- 4:18Speaker 5: where you are in life?
- 4:19Speaker 10: Man?
- 4:20Speaker 5: That that's so, that's so not the case. I want
- 4:24Speaker 5: to remind everybody today that it's still your time. That
- 4:30Speaker 5: you know, your ship hasn't sailed you didn't miss all
- 4:34Speaker 5: of your opportunities. There's others. It's still your time. You know,
- 4:41Speaker 5: you still got a chance. You still have a shot.
- 4:47Speaker 5: Here's a good one. You still have hope, you do
- 4:53Speaker 5: all of you. As long as God is who he is,
- 5:00Speaker 5: there's always hope for you. You can never lose sight
- 5:04Speaker 5: of that. You can never let the devil win that
- 5:07Speaker 5: battle that there is no hope for you and cause
- 5:11Speaker 5: you to do something that's unthinkable. I'm just gonna cash
- 5:17Speaker 5: in the chips. I'm gonna take my life. I'm gonna
- 5:20Speaker 5: commit suicide. No no, no, wait a second, Wait a second,
- 5:23Speaker 5: are you for real? That's not God talking to you.
- 5:27Speaker 5: That's something wrong and it's not coming from him. It's
- 5:33Speaker 5: still your time. You still got a chance. There's always hope.
- 5:38Speaker 9: But listen to me. You got to move and you
- 5:42Speaker 9: got to move on it.
- 5:44Speaker 5: So many people are not getting the full benefit of
- 5:48Speaker 5: their life, and so many people are not getting all
- 5:51Speaker 5: the blessings that God has for because you keep waiting
- 5:55Speaker 5: on the perfect time.
- 5:56Speaker 9: Man.
- 5:57Speaker 5: How many times have I heard people come to me
- 5:59Speaker 5: and say, hey, man, I'm just waiting on everything to
- 6:02Speaker 5: line up right. Man, I'm waiting on the perfect time
- 6:05Speaker 5: to get Hey, can I tell you something. If I
- 6:09Speaker 5: were waiting on the perfect time, I wouldn't be hardly
- 6:13Speaker 5: any of the things that I've become. And one of
- 6:18Speaker 5: my greatest blessings was marrying Marjorie. I wouldn't even have
- 6:24Speaker 5: married Marjorie if I was waiting on the perfect time,
- 6:28Speaker 5: because I had gone through what I thought was enough
- 6:33Speaker 5: misery to cover my entire lifetime. And so when I
- 6:38Speaker 5: was first divorced, I just said, man, it's gonna be
- 6:43Speaker 5: five six years before I do this again.
- 6:46Speaker 9: I said it. Two years later I was married. But
- 6:53Speaker 9: guess what, man, it wasn't the perfect time.
- 6:57Speaker 5: I didn't have my ducks, all my ducks lined up
- 6:59Speaker 5: in the role. It was still some things I needed
- 7:02Speaker 5: to clean up. I even told her, it's some things
- 7:05Speaker 5: I want to clean up out of my life. Before
- 7:08Speaker 5: you know it's it's I want I want to make
- 7:11Speaker 5: sure I got all the stars a line up, you know,
- 7:13Speaker 5: I want to I want to wait until all the
- 7:15Speaker 5: ducks are in a row.
- 7:16Speaker 9: I was waiting on the perfect time.
- 7:20Speaker 5: If I had not stopped, and Marjorie and I had
- 7:24Speaker 5: set out and said to each other, there'll be no
- 7:27Speaker 5: perfect time.
- 7:29Speaker 9: And then she said, I'll go through with you whatever
- 7:32Speaker 9: you're going through.
- 7:34Speaker 11: That was it.
- 7:36Speaker 5: I took a chance. The ducks were not lined up
- 7:41Speaker 5: in a row. Had a lot of baggage in my life, man,
- 7:45Speaker 5: I wanted to try to clear up. I wanted to
- 7:47Speaker 5: do some things financially different. I wanted to just get
- 7:51Speaker 5: rid of some residue I had in my life. She said, no,
- 7:55Speaker 5: we'll do it together, because it ain't no perfect time.
- 7:59Speaker 9: And guess what it was.
- 8:00Speaker 5: So if you're out there waiting on the perfect time
- 8:03Speaker 5: to do something, it may not come. There is no
- 8:07Speaker 5: such thing as waiting on the perfect time. I've said
- 8:10Speaker 5: this one hundred times, and here comes one oh one.
- 8:13Speaker 5: The road to success is always under construction. You ain't
- 8:17Speaker 5: finna go out there and there ain't no barrels on
- 8:19Speaker 5: the road. You're not going out there and not running
- 8:21Speaker 5: to detools signs. You're not going out there without seeing
- 8:24Speaker 5: the me and working sign to get off. You're not
- 8:27Speaker 5: going out there to see it.
- 8:30Speaker 9: So guess what. Stop waiting on the stars are going. Man,
- 8:33Speaker 9: this is a perfect time to do it.
- 8:35Speaker 5: Now. If you're waiting on the perfect time, that could
- 8:38Speaker 5: be one of your biggest problems.
- 8:40Speaker 9: You're still waiting.
- 8:41Speaker 5: You have got to move and you've got to move
- 8:43Speaker 5: on it, and you've got to make a decision to
- 8:46Speaker 5: go now. God will get you through everything necessary for
- 8:50Speaker 5: you to get through. But you can't quit though. See
- 8:54Speaker 5: here is a part. You can't quit just because the
- 8:57Speaker 5: road you're on is under construction. You can get off
- 9:00Speaker 5: at the exit because you're tired of all the bump
- 9:02Speaker 5: of the bumper traffic.
- 9:04Speaker 9: It's that way.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Get you some God, like I said, get you some God,
- 9:10Speaker 5: and go on and go see what your life can
- 9:12Speaker 5: be like. So stop waiting on the perfect time, stop
- 9:15Speaker 5: waiting on the stars to align themselves. You got to
- 9:18Speaker 5: move and you got to move on it. Get you
- 9:22Speaker 5: some God, apply some faith, and get started. And remember
- 9:25Speaker 5: when you get out there, coming towards your goal, the
- 9:28Speaker 5: road to construct, the road to success is always under construction.
- 9:32Speaker 5: If it was easy, everybody would be it. Stop expecting
- 9:36Speaker 5: it to be easy. Come on out here, get up
- 9:37Speaker 5: in this thing. It's funky out here. Yeah I got
- 9:40Speaker 5: all that. It's hard out here, yeah I got all that.
- 9:43Speaker 5: But what you want to do, man, huh, what you
- 9:45Speaker 5: wanna do? You're gonna push your chips up to the window.
- 9:49Speaker 5: It ain't time for that. You still got time, you
- 9:51Speaker 5: still got a chance. There's always hope, There's always God.
- 9:55Speaker 5: That's my conversation today.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Here listening into the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Ladies and general, let me have your undivided detention please,
- 10:07Speaker 5: on this very, very blessed day. The reason it's a
- 10:09Speaker 5: blessed day is because we are all being given the
- 10:12Speaker 5: opportunity to take in it. We are a part of it.
- 10:15Speaker 5: What a wonderful, wonderful gift from God. I'm so grateful,
- 10:20Speaker 5: so grateful that God has given me this chance today.
- 10:23Speaker 5: Thank you Lord for all the times you've awakened me. Man,
- 10:28Speaker 5: oh man, oh man. God is good. Yeah, it is
- 10:31Speaker 5: Steve Harvin, Arnis Show, Shery Strawberry Collin forrel Mississippi, Monica
- 10:35Speaker 5: Junior to come back kid, and the legend that is
- 10:37Speaker 5: Nephew Tommy Junior.
- 10:39Speaker 9: What's on your mind today?
- 10:41Speaker 12: You know, you know these talk about Steven A. Smith
- 10:43Speaker 12: running for president.
- 10:44Speaker 1: You don't think you should run.
- 10:46Speaker 12: You really don't think you should run for president.
- 10:49Speaker 9: I like you, Yeah, I'm not really not listen to
- 10:51Speaker 9: me understand this.
- 10:52Speaker 5: Because President Trump is president, it has now opened up
- 10:57Speaker 5: the doorway for anybody to think it's possible, but it's
- 11:00Speaker 5: really not.
- 11:01Speaker 9: Man.
- 11:02Speaker 5: It is really a position that should be held by competent,
- 11:06Speaker 5: qualified people. And if you're not a competent, qualified person,
- 11:11Speaker 5: you will hire non competent and qualified people around you.
- 11:15Speaker 5: The Secretary of Defense is a totally unqualified person to
- 11:19Speaker 5: be ahead of the military. The Attorney General Bundy, she
- 11:23Speaker 5: is totally unqualified to be the head of the DOJ,
- 11:28Speaker 5: the Attorney general anything else. This dude cash for tail
- 11:33Speaker 5: is totally unqualified, totally to be the head of the FBI.
- 11:39Speaker 5: So you see, yeah, the lady that she and the
- 11:44Speaker 5: wrestling McMahon, Linda McMahon, bro, what are we doing here?
- 11:50Speaker 5: Because if your leader is incompetent and unqualified, he then
- 11:55Speaker 5: brings about the other unincompetent and unqualified people. And we're facing,
- 12:01Speaker 5: for the first time in our country a government man
- 12:04Speaker 5: that looks absolutely dismal and is embarrassing around the globe.
- 12:11Speaker 5: And when I tell you, everybody is looking at us like, man,
- 12:14Speaker 5: what are they doing? How are they allowing this? The
- 12:19Speaker 5: fear that premeates the Republican Party is horrible right now.
- 12:24Speaker 5: But what the Republicans did was a very you know
- 12:26Speaker 5: what they did to the evangelical Christian community to get
- 12:30Speaker 5: them on they.
- 12:30Speaker 9: Side, and what they did to get conservatives on they side.
- 12:34Speaker 5: They made gay rights, immigration, and abortion a big part
- 12:40Speaker 5: of their push. Well then that makes them go, okay, yeah,
- 12:45Speaker 5: we got to.
- 12:46Speaker 9: Vote for that. But what they don't know is that's
- 12:48Speaker 9: the mass to hide the real policies that they have.
- 12:52Speaker 5: When you're Republicans talking about we're going to get some
- 12:55Speaker 5: of the hugest tax cuts, they're not talking about you.
- 12:58Speaker 5: They talking about Marks Bird, Elon Musk, and Jeff Bezos.
- 13:04Speaker 5: That's who was on the front row at Trump's speeches.
- 13:07Speaker 5: That's who was clapping the hardest, because that's what the
- 13:10Speaker 5: tax breaks are going to. It's not coming to you.
- 13:14Speaker 5: Trump approvals rate as the lowest has ever been. I mean,
- 13:17Speaker 5: it's at twenty below twenty seven percent. That's crazy. So
- 13:22Speaker 5: we just had to get out and vote in the
- 13:23Speaker 5: mid terms and just see if you could put slow
- 13:26Speaker 5: this process down. If not, hang on right now, I
- 13:30Speaker 5: don't need to be president. And I'll tell you who
- 13:32Speaker 5: really don't need to be president.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Steven Asmil, all right, coming up, thank you, after the hour.
- 13:43Speaker 10: We're going to run that brank back right after this
- 13:46Speaker 10: you're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 13:53Speaker 12: Rocket and Redfinn found that most of us want stronger
- 13:56Speaker 12: connections in our neighborhoods. What about a quote of us
- 13:58Speaker 12: worry we're bothering someone if you try to start a conversation.
- 14:01Speaker 12: The thing is real connection doesn't come from big gestures.
- 14:04Speaker 12: It comes from everyday moments, small stuff like grabbing a
- 14:07Speaker 12: package for your neighbor or holding the door. So don't
- 14:10Speaker 12: overthink it, wait, smile, say hi, because it's the small
- 14:13Speaker 12: things that end up adding up to something much bigger.
- 14:16Speaker 12: Find a neighborhood you'll love. At redfin dot com.
- 14:19Speaker 1: The nephew is here to run that prank back. What
- 14:22Speaker 1: you got for is new?
- 14:24Speaker 9: I got it for you.

- 14:31Speaker 11: first one out of to day. Get ready, bug a lot,

- 21:55Speaker 12: grabbing a package for your neighbor or holding the door.
- 21:58Speaker 12: So don't overthink it, wait, smile, say hi, because it's

- 22:37Speaker 10: any more of it. He said, it's not the Christian
- 22:39Speaker 10: thing to do. How could he tease me like that?
- 22:42Speaker 10: Should I dump him?

- 23:42Speaker 10: see it soon enough. If my mom knows something about him,
- 23:45Speaker 10: why is she constantly throwing out hints?
- 23:48Speaker 1: Why won't she just tell me?
- 23:50Speaker 5: Well, I mean she giving you a chance to see
- 23:52Speaker 5: it to her as obvious. All you gotta do here, lady,
- 23:57Speaker 5: here's what you do. Just make a list. If it
- 23:59Speaker 5: did somebody and you want to know how well it's going,
- 24:02Speaker 5: write to write a column down pros and cons. Write
- 24:06Speaker 5: everything that's great about this man, then then make a
- 24:10Speaker 5: list of everything you questioned about him, have doubts about.
- 24:13Speaker 9: It, or don't like.
- 24:15Speaker 5: If that don't list is longer by one, then if
- 24:21Speaker 5: the con list is longer or the same list as
- 24:25Speaker 5: the pro list, you have a problem.
- 24:28Speaker 9: You have a problem.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Oh you should definitely have more pros than con.
- 24:34Speaker 5: Yeah, if it's only three things you like about him,
- 24:36Speaker 5: but it's three things you don't like about him, you
- 24:39Speaker 5: you a you in a relationship that ain't got no upside.
- 24:44Speaker 1: So mother knows best in this situation, huh?
- 24:48Speaker 9: Or she giving you a chance, She's trying to let
- 24:49Speaker 9: you be grown, but you still.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, all right?
- 24:59Speaker 10: Moving on to Peggy in Atlantic City, Peggy writes, my
- 25:02Speaker 10: three year old grandbaby saw me kiss another man, and
- 25:05Speaker 10: she told my husband. I thought she was taking a nap,
- 25:09Speaker 10: but she woke up right when my side dude was
- 25:11Speaker 10: tipping out the back door. We were startled. I called
- 25:15Speaker 10: her a little liar, and her mama got involved and
- 25:18Speaker 10: spanked her. I feel terrible, Should I be honest?
- 25:24Speaker 13: What?
- 25:25Speaker 10: Wow?
- 25:28Speaker 9: Peggy? Baby beat in everything? And your name Peggy, that's
- 25:37Speaker 9: the last What does that have to do with.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 25:41Speaker 2: She is.
- 25:44Speaker 5: Your side, dude, was going out the back door. You
- 25:48Speaker 5: don't even know how to cheat? And her husband you
- 25:53Speaker 5: at your house, your side, dude, going out the back door,
- 25:55Speaker 5: your grandbaby in that post to be sleeping.
- 25:58Speaker 9: You're so oh, you don't even know the baby ain't peggy.
- 26:02Speaker 1: You got to do better and then they gotta beat down.
- 26:06Speaker 9: Then you'd have got the baby beat Wow, terrible? You
- 26:10Speaker 9: a little liar. No, you're a liar. Should you come clean?
- 26:15Speaker 9: It's too late for that. The baby that got beat
- 26:17Speaker 9: now the baby don't want to stay over there no more.
- 26:21Speaker 5: I know that.
- 26:21Speaker 9: I'll tell you that right now. Yeah I know what
- 26:26Speaker 9: I saw. Yeah yeah, start doing stuff to you like
- 26:34Speaker 9: kids start doing. Then we're going over grandma.
- 26:40Speaker 15: No more.
- 26:42Speaker 9: He's a liar.
- 26:44Speaker 5: Three.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Yeah, this is terrible, This is really bad.
- 26:48Speaker 5: That's me.
- 26:49Speaker 1: But what else could she have done?
- 26:53Speaker 5: Surely, come on, what else could she have done? You
- 26:57Speaker 5: cheating in front of the grand baby your house? How
- 27:00Speaker 5: stupid can you be? I know, I know, I know,
- 27:05Speaker 5: And you didn't got that baby and you didn't do
- 27:08Speaker 5: nothing about it.
- 27:09Speaker 1: That's right, That's what I'm saying.
- 27:10Speaker 9: Even if you come clean.
- 27:11Speaker 5: At this point, the baby still got spank the baby.
- 27:16Speaker 5: The baby, you can't undo the spanking. The baby not
- 27:19Speaker 5: gonna understand. This is really terrible.
- 27:23Speaker 10: So you're saying, she may as well just let it go. Okay,
- 27:31Speaker 10: just ask him last one? Sheila and Hyde Park.
- 27:34Speaker 9: What was that sigh for? I said, all I'm gonna
- 27:38Speaker 9: say about just open.
- 27:38Speaker 1: It's just so terrible for this kid, this baby. All right, uh,
- 27:45Speaker 1: Sheila in Hyde Park.
- 27:47Speaker 10: Right, So, my husband has a few messy friends that
- 27:49Speaker 10: thrive in controversy.
- 27:51Speaker 1: When he's on the phone. All I hear is gossip
- 27:53Speaker 1: and mess.
- 27:54Speaker 10: I told him they're going to get him beat up,
- 27:57Speaker 10: so he needs to stop hanging around them. Should I
- 27:59Speaker 10: let him learn his lesson?
- 28:03Speaker 13: What?
- 28:04Speaker 9: Mm hmm? They mess?
- 28:09Speaker 11: All?
- 28:10Speaker 9: All she hear in the background is gossip. They get
- 28:14Speaker 9: him beat up? What who got? I don't even man
- 28:21Speaker 9: where these people come from. Yeah, this is not tom
- 28:25Speaker 9: Man time.
- 28:26Speaker 5: You've been talking on the phone and your wife heard
- 28:28Speaker 5: your friends in the background gossiping talking about some mess.
- 28:31Speaker 9: No never, and Tommy, if you keep on, you're gonna
- 28:35Speaker 9: get beat up. No, that's not.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Had this happened here, though it did happen to Sheila
- 28:46Speaker 1: and she wants to.
- 28:47Speaker 10: She just let her husband learn his lesson because she
- 28:50Speaker 10: told him to stop hanging around these guys.
- 28:53Speaker 9: Yeah no, but they messy and they gossiping. He gonna
- 28:56Speaker 9: get beat up. Yeah, that's what.
- 29:03Speaker 12: And the gospel men.
- 29:07Speaker 9: You need to check out his friends. Yeah, no, I'm
- 29:15Speaker 9: saying this.
- 29:16Speaker 5: If you got a group of friends and that's what
- 29:18Speaker 5: they constantly doing, you need to check your friend group somebody.
- 29:21Speaker 9: In that that is on the other side.
- 29:26Speaker 5: You need to let me just say this right here,
- 29:28Speaker 5: and this is not an anti anything. This is a
- 29:31Speaker 5: pro statement. You need to go through the friends and
- 29:36Speaker 5: check all the pronouns. That's what you need to do.
- 29:38Speaker 5: You get everybody's pronouns because somebody in there might want
- 29:41Speaker 5: to be referred to in another way and y'all are
- 29:43Speaker 5: not detecting it, and see who's who. Yeah, and just
- 29:48Speaker 5: that's a very positive thing. That's not an anti statement.
- 29:51Speaker 5: But you should though, because in this society that you
- 29:54Speaker 5: have to be conscious of that and you have to
- 29:56Speaker 5: give people they due respect. So you need to go
- 29:58Speaker 5: through his group, do the pronoun check and just say, hey, dog,
- 30:04Speaker 5: what are we doing here? You you what you at them? Day?
- 30:09Speaker 9: What them they do? Though, miss what you what is
- 30:14Speaker 9: just a terrible It's all good.
- 30:18Speaker 1: This has nothing to wanted, nothing to do.
- 30:20Speaker 9: With yes, but you have for Shelo, really Sherman.
- 30:25Speaker 1: You know.
- 30:26Speaker 10: Coming up next, we'll have some entertainment news at the
- 30:29Speaker 10: top of the hour right after this.
- 30:31Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 30:37Speaker 10: All right, so everybody knows February, of course, is Black
- 30:40Speaker 10: History Month, and as we always do, we have a
- 30:44Speaker 10: very special Black History Month presentation.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy kick it off for us.
- 30:48Speaker 11: Please let me jumpstart it because this is a oh
- 30:53Speaker 11: my god, this is a Black history moment that has
- 30:55Speaker 11: never been told.
- 30:56Speaker 9: Listen June nineteen eighty.
- 31:00Speaker 11: June of nineteen eighty, he was twenty three years old,
- 31:06Speaker 11: and he went to the movies with some of his
- 31:08Speaker 11: friends to see The Blues Brothers. You remember the hit
- 31:14Speaker 11: movie The Blues Brothers. He went to see Kiss. He
- 31:18Speaker 11: was so fascinated by Cab Callaway. He was so fascinated
- 31:25Speaker 11: by the zoop soup that Cab Callaway had on, and
- 31:29Speaker 11: the buttons and the way it walked, the way it looked.
- 31:32Speaker 9: He was fascinated.
- 31:34Speaker 11: And you fast forward that little boy who was twenty
- 31:38Speaker 11: three years old at that time, all he wanted to
- 31:42Speaker 11: do was become a great entertainer and fast walward he
- 31:49Speaker 11: became one of the greatest ladies and gentlemen. He looked
- 31:54Speaker 11: at that zoop soup and saw those buttons, and let
- 31:58Speaker 11: me tell you, he now said to himself, one day
- 32:03Speaker 11: I will be as big as that guy and have
- 32:05Speaker 11: more buttons on my soup ladies and gentlemen.
- 32:09Speaker 9: He achieved it.
- 32:11Speaker 11: He became the one and only Steve Harvey with fifty
- 32:15Speaker 11: buttons on one soup at a time. This happened because
- 32:19Speaker 11: he saw the Blues Brothers in nineteen eighty. That is
- 32:24Speaker 11: a well an unknown black history that you have never known,
- 32:28Speaker 11: and that story has never been told.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Here, you've got a school today.
- 32:33Speaker 9: All ye got exciting?
- 32:34Speaker 1: Now I just changed. Wow yeah, oh man, Wow, thank you?
- 32:43Speaker 9: Who knew?
- 32:44Speaker 17: Who knows?
- 32:46Speaker 12: Come on, here we go. This is nineteen fifty seven.
- 32:50Speaker 12: There was a TV show called.
- 32:51Speaker 9: Leave It to Beaver.
- 32:53Speaker 12: Yes, there was a black actor on the show named
- 32:58Speaker 12: Samuel Killem. This episode never aired.
- 33:02Speaker 10: Uh.
- 33:02Speaker 12: Samuel Callum's character was invited over to the Cleavers for
- 33:06Speaker 12: Thanksgiving and he sat down and they were doing the
- 33:10Speaker 12: scene and then Samuel bit into the potato salad and said,
- 33:15Speaker 12: what the sugar honey ice tea is this? Who put
- 33:18Speaker 12: dried raisins in the potato? Salt craanberries in there? And
- 33:23Speaker 12: then he said, and he was shocked, He said, who
- 33:26Speaker 12: called this dresses? Now what happened was the beaver was stunned,
- 33:31Speaker 12: Wally left, June was crying and what and Ward didn't
- 33:36Speaker 12: know what to do? And that became who put the
- 33:41Speaker 12: razors in the potato salad? From this point on, Thank you,
- 33:44Speaker 12: Samuel Kellum a moment in black history. That's why he
- 33:48Speaker 12: found out that white people put razors into potato salad
- 33:52Speaker 12: made everything different for us.
- 33:55Speaker 5: You always wonder, Samuel, my black history moments are not
- 34:01Speaker 5: that complicated, and they don't have a bunch of backstory
- 34:04Speaker 5: behind it like the other two.
- 34:06Speaker 9: So just let me get mine out the way.
- 34:08Speaker 5: Oh Willy Jasper in nineteen fifty five, the rubber band
- 34:22Speaker 5: around your calf muscles to keep your socks soup that
- 34:27Speaker 5: just came from Willow Jazz.
- 34:28Speaker 9: But with rubber bands around their.
- 34:33Speaker 5: Calf muscle to keep their socks up saved all kinds
- 34:36Speaker 5: of money for due socks.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Educational genius, will here's one you ought to know.
- 34:46Speaker 11: We didn't find this out until nineteighteen ninety eight or
- 34:52Speaker 11: ninety nine, or the history of us as a people.
- 34:57Speaker 11: We have no earthly idea that we had left one
- 35:00Speaker 11: all lost one. We didn't realize that there was one person,
- 35:05Speaker 11: one person that's black, that had not had chipplings, and
- 35:09Speaker 11: that was Harry Strawberry.
- 35:12Speaker 9: Lord have mercy. He was the only African American to
- 35:15Speaker 9: never have crazy.
- 35:16Speaker 18: We know that that's crazy right there, That is had
- 35:20Speaker 18: that's crazy. Never sir, No, why not.
- 35:29Speaker 1: I just didn't like the way it smelled, that's all.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Maybe it's me.
- 35:35Speaker 10: They don't good No, okay, all right, Black History Month facts,
- 35:42Speaker 10: thank you, you hear me.
- 35:44Speaker 12: You know, Uncle Steve ain't the only one on this
- 35:46Speaker 12: show that made black history before. You know, I had
- 35:49Speaker 12: already already, But glad you started off with Steve.
- 35:52Speaker 9: You know this is a this is one.
- 35:54Speaker 12: Nephew Tommy made Black history. God, Nephew Tommy was the
- 35:59Speaker 12: first black elf. Talk I'm talking about when they opened
- 36:05Speaker 12: that door and he saw them cookies, and then they
- 36:09Speaker 12: brought him in and woo them into the foe and
- 36:11Speaker 12: they gave him that outfit. They had never done that before.
- 36:16Speaker 12: They had used a furtive action to get him in
- 36:18Speaker 12: and he is now the first black Keebler ELF. And
- 36:22Speaker 12: then Senta heard about it and said I want him
- 36:24Speaker 12: to and that's how he became the first and first
- 36:29Speaker 12: black sena ELF. On one occasion, Boy, you better go
- 36:32Speaker 12: ahead and talk.

- 48:00Speaker 11: you know? I know you probably got quite a bit
- 48:03Speaker 11: of work.
- 48:04Speaker 15: Well, I do so many throughout the day. So I
- 48:08Speaker 15: have it on my receiver here. I can look at
- 48:10Speaker 15: over here.
- 48:11Speaker 9: About three days ago at a street.
- 48:15Speaker 15: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can recall was a lady there.
- 48:19Speaker 9: Yeah, it was a tilet was backed up and was overflowing.
- 48:23Speaker 15: And yeah, yeah, yeah, I can recall it.
- 48:25Speaker 9: And if something was wrong with the sink in there too,
- 48:28Speaker 9: and that that had a leak in the back of it.
- 48:31Speaker 15: Yeah, I had a leak in the back and and
- 48:32Speaker 15: I've done that. I fixed that there for you.
- 48:35Speaker 11: And uh.
- 48:35Speaker 15: I took that toilet that had uh around the bottom
- 48:38Speaker 15: of your base the toilet based there. I had to
- 48:41Speaker 15: take that up and retape it because that tape had
- 48:44Speaker 15: came came loose.
- 48:45Speaker 9: It was kind of old.
- 48:46Speaker 15: And I, you know, went through that and done all
- 48:48Speaker 15: that and and saving it up and sealed it up,
- 48:50Speaker 15: and and I rebased that sealed back there on your
- 48:53Speaker 15: and the toilet, and and your sink had a little
- 48:55Speaker 15: leak back there in the back. I fixed that it
- 48:57Speaker 15: because you know, that was really easy to have.
- 48:59Speaker 11: So well, no, see it that that's something went wrong
- 49:03Speaker 11: with that tarlet. Now did you did you put another
- 49:07Speaker 11: pipe or something that you reroute up pipe or anything?
- 49:11Speaker 13: No?
- 49:11Speaker 15: No, Like I said, all I did. I took the
- 49:13Speaker 15: base of it off there, and I taped it up
- 49:16Speaker 15: where that old tape there, and then I put me
- 49:18Speaker 15: some cement which was with with uh with my pipe there,
- 49:23Speaker 15: and and I sealed it all up, and I checked
- 49:25Speaker 15: it out and leady drive and see if he leaked,
- 49:27Speaker 15: and it didn't leak. And I put your base back
- 49:30Speaker 15: on and you know, and then then I then you
- 49:32Speaker 15: had a little leak there in your sink, and that
- 49:35Speaker 15: was on the top of the the nozzle there, and
- 49:39Speaker 15: I fixed that.
- 49:40Speaker 9: Miss.
- 49:40Speaker 11: I'm gonna tell you, because I'm gonna be honest with
- 49:43Speaker 11: you and tell you I'm not happy with what I got.
- 49:45Speaker 15: You're not happy with it?
- 49:46Speaker 9: No, Now, let me tell you what's happening.
- 49:50Speaker 11: Now, say somebody in the bathroom and they flushed that
- 49:53Speaker 11: tarlet right right when they flushed that tarlet, come out
- 49:57Speaker 11: the sink in the kitchen.
- 49:59Speaker 15: Oh tell me that, tell me that, say that what
- 50:02Speaker 15: you did again?
- 50:03Speaker 11: I said, when they flush the toilet in the bathroom,
- 50:07Speaker 11: right come out the shank in the kitchen. It come
- 50:10Speaker 11: out in the kitchen like that. I don't know what
- 50:12Speaker 11: how you rapped something like you'ren misrouted or something.
- 50:15Speaker 13: No, I didn't.
- 50:16Speaker 15: I didn't route anything. All I did was fix the
- 50:19Speaker 15: put the tape on there. So I fixed the leap
- 50:22Speaker 15: that was you know your uh, it's a base of
- 50:25Speaker 15: your tilet I didn't reroute anything. I don't. I don't.
- 50:28Speaker 15: I don't understand. How can you you reroute a pipe?
- 50:31Speaker 11: I don't.
- 50:32Speaker 15: That's not a pipe to go into your kitchen and shoot,
- 50:36Speaker 15: we'll shoot crap out of your kitchen like that.
- 50:38Speaker 11: I don't know what what what you did when you
- 50:41Speaker 11: was up under there and how you re routed something.
- 50:43Speaker 11: But that's what happened. And it's got it's got is
- 50:45Speaker 11: going from the from that bathroom. When you flushed that tarlet,
- 50:50Speaker 11: it come out in my sink in my kitchen. Now,
- 50:52Speaker 11: what's bad about it is this morning, I'm in.
- 50:54Speaker 15: There cooking and what what what's your name again?
- 50:58Speaker 9: My name is? They called me?
- 51:00Speaker 15: Okay? And cramp is coming out of your your pumbing
- 51:04Speaker 15: in your.
- 51:04Speaker 9: In my in my kitchen.
- 51:06Speaker 11: Now this morning I set out some red beans and
- 51:08Speaker 11: rice to cook, and I put my beans on.
- 51:10Speaker 9: That not I've been cooking. I've been cooking. Listen to me,
- 51:14Speaker 9: I've been cooking.
- 51:14Speaker 15: Oh no, I'm trying to be professional about this because
- 51:17Speaker 15: you know I guarantee my work. I've been doing this
- 51:19Speaker 15: over twenty years, and the one thing I do, I
- 51:21Speaker 15: guarantee my work. And I'm real proud about the thing
- 51:24Speaker 15: that you know I do. But what what did you
- 51:27Speaker 15: have anybody else over there working on your pipe? Ain't
- 51:30Speaker 15: nobody in your kitchen? All I did was your bathroom.
- 51:34Speaker 15: The room, the bathroom. Don't have anything to do with
- 51:38Speaker 15: your kitchen, that floor, a pipe, have anything to do
- 51:40Speaker 15: with one or other other.
- 51:41Speaker 9: Then explain that coming through my sink in my kitchen.
- 51:45Speaker 15: I can't explain it coming from your your sink. I
- 51:49Speaker 15: can only explain that's in the toilet in your sink.
- 51:52Speaker 13: I have no idea.
- 51:53Speaker 9: I'm gonna listen because this thing got me wrapped up listen.
- 51:56Speaker 13: Now what it is that?
- 51:58Speaker 15: Well, you got me kind of wrapped up here because
- 52:00Speaker 15: you know, like I said, I do this here and
- 52:02Speaker 15: I've been doing it for twenty years, and that's the
- 52:03Speaker 15: first time I ever heard anything like that being happened.
- 52:06Speaker 13: I ain't never seen it.
- 52:07Speaker 9: Well, I'm gonna tell you it's just disgusting.
- 52:09Speaker 11: The big cook till cook red beans all day and
- 52:12Speaker 11: now I find out that it's sitting in some dirty
- 52:15Speaker 11: water like that.
- 52:16Speaker 15: You didn't smell the water when you was in the
- 52:18Speaker 15: in your seat, but I'm quite sure it had allowed
- 52:21Speaker 15: or smell.
- 52:22Speaker 9: I didn't smell nothing.
- 52:23Speaker 7: Now this more earlier this morning, I.
- 52:25Speaker 9: Washed my hand now and I didn't what I washed
- 52:28Speaker 9: my hair in there. That's just what it smelled like
- 52:32Speaker 9: a baby.
- 52:33Speaker 15: I'm just, I just, I just refuse to believe that
- 52:36Speaker 15: the work I did on your toilet in there, taping
- 52:39Speaker 15: some stuff up and seeming some stuff up and on
- 52:41Speaker 15: your seat, and anything to do with scrap being shot
- 52:45Speaker 15: out your kitchen seat.
- 52:46Speaker 9: Well, I tell you what what I need to do
- 52:48Speaker 9: is for you to get your back over here and
- 52:51Speaker 9: fix it, because this here ain't a good job. And
- 52:53Speaker 9: I don't recommend nobody using you.
- 52:55Speaker 15: Well, first of all, why I'm trying to be professional
- 52:58Speaker 15: about it, and you me and that ain't gonna get
- 53:01Speaker 15: nothing done.
- 53:02Speaker 11: Once come out my pike, it was no longer professional,
- 53:06Speaker 11: not as you hand somebody else over there doing something
- 53:09Speaker 11: in your seam.
- 53:10Speaker 15: I ain't had nobody do you have a garage just
- 53:12Speaker 15: falls on over that look just coming out your down that.
- 53:15Speaker 11: Was just it ain't hiding the well, it's it's crap
- 53:18Speaker 11: coming out of my gut. You get your back over here,
- 53:21Speaker 11: and you fixed what you sposed to fix, and say
- 53:23Speaker 11: it right that. I'm not paying another I'm dying for it.
- 53:27Speaker 9: To fix a thin.
- 53:29Speaker 15: I'm tried to be professionate about it. I'm listening to
- 53:31Speaker 15: what you gotta say. I should up on it a
- 53:33Speaker 15: long time ago, but I'm genanty of work and I'm
- 53:36Speaker 15: trying to, you know, down with my customers. When I left,
- 53:40Speaker 15: I told her to push it tarlet. She pushed tarlet.
- 53:42Speaker 15: She ran the foster in the bathroom.
- 53:44Speaker 13: We ain't no problem now.
- 53:45Speaker 15: If you don't want somebody else over there, they're doing
- 53:48Speaker 15: whatever knows what I don't.
- 53:50Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 53:51Speaker 13: You know, I ain't none of my business.
- 53:53Speaker 11: I hain't some of them red beans, and that what
- 53:55Speaker 11: bothered me. Now I feel sick to my stomach.
- 53:57Speaker 15: I'm feeling like red meaning what hell? You ain't know that?
- 54:02Speaker 9: It's like what you you?

- 56:38Speaker 10: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a thirty six year old man
- 56:41Speaker 10: and my wife and I split up almost two years ago.
- 56:44Speaker 10: She moved on and is dating someone she met at church.
- 56:48Speaker 10: She just had a baby a month ago, and she
- 56:50Speaker 10: kept it from me for two weeks. I found out
- 56:53Speaker 10: after my pops told me. He said she sent him
- 56:56Speaker 10: pictures of her infant daughter, and my sister went to
- 56:59Speaker 10: visit the baby a few days ago. My dad said,
- 57:02Speaker 10: my sister's kids are in love with the baby already,
- 57:05Speaker 10: and she's the cutest little thing ever. I called this
- 57:08Speaker 10: woman to see if it was really true, because I
- 57:11Speaker 10: was told she couldn't have any more children. I told
- 57:14Speaker 10: her how hurt I was the day I found out
- 57:16Speaker 10: from my pops. She and I have two sons, and
- 57:20Speaker 10: after our second son was born, her doctor said she
- 57:23Speaker 10: couldn't have any more children. I accepted it and was
- 57:26Speaker 10: happy with my sons, but I always wanted to have
- 57:29Speaker 10: one more child, a daughter to spoiled rotten. She told
- 57:33Speaker 10: me that the baby was a surprise, and she apologized
- 57:36Speaker 10: for the way I found out. She called her daughter
- 57:38Speaker 10: a miracle baby and a blessing. My heart was broken.
- 57:43Speaker 10: And what makes matters worse is that her daughter was
- 57:46Speaker 10: born on my birthday.
- 57:48Speaker 1: How crazy is that?
- 57:50Speaker 10: I told her I would love to see the baby
- 57:52Speaker 10: and meet her new boyfriend. She said that wouldn't be possible,
- 57:56Speaker 10: and then I had to remind her of the wild
- 57:59Speaker 10: night we had almost a year ago, when we slipped
- 58:03Speaker 10: up and had unprotected sex three times in one night.
- 58:07Speaker 10: I told her I have every right to see the
- 58:09Speaker 10: baby because she might be my child. She doesn't want
- 58:12Speaker 10: her boyfriend to know, but it's bound to come out.
- 58:17Speaker 10: I want to get a paternity test. Oh did I
- 58:20Speaker 10: mention that our divorce is not final? Should I let
- 58:23Speaker 10: her boyfriend know what's up and get a DNA test?
- 58:26Speaker 9: Who?
- 58:30Speaker 1: I don't know, But you sound like you don't believe
- 58:33Speaker 1: your wife.
- 58:35Speaker 10: You sound like that you know what she said about
- 58:38Speaker 10: the baby being a surprise and a miracle baby.
- 58:41Speaker 1: You know it is not true.
- 58:44Speaker 10: Nor do you accept her apology for the way you
- 58:47Speaker 10: found out, And based on that, I don't think she
- 58:51Speaker 10: was deliberately trying to break your heart. You said your
- 58:53Speaker 10: heart broken. It's your right and no one can stop
- 58:56Speaker 10: you from getting a paternity test. But your wife, but
- 59:00Speaker 10: do you really really want to do that or are
- 59:02Speaker 10: you just bitter? You know, Ideally I would love to say, yes,
- 59:07Speaker 10: get a DNA test, find out if the daughter is yours,
- 59:10Speaker 10: and if by chance she is, you guys could all
- 59:12Speaker 10: live happily ever after.
- 59:14Speaker 1: But you know that's not going to happen. That's not
- 59:16Speaker 1: real life. It's not reality.
- 59:18Speaker 10: I think your wife will do anything, I'm sure to
- 59:20Speaker 10: keep her boyfriend from finding out. She doesn't want him
- 59:23Speaker 10: to know this, that you and that the two of
- 59:25Speaker 10: you had a tryst, you know, about a year ago
- 59:29Speaker 10: and hm, and she totally for sure does not want
- 59:35Speaker 10: him to know that the baby might be yours.
- 59:38Speaker 11: Uh.
- 59:38Speaker 10: Yeah, she she should have waited until the divorce was final,
- 59:41Speaker 10: but obviously you even said in the letter that she
- 59:44Speaker 10: had moved on. She moved on from you and she
- 59:47Speaker 10: was just waiting for the final papers. You, on the
- 59:50Speaker 10: other hand, do not seem to have moved on at all.
- 59:53Speaker 10: I mean, listen, it's not your place to tell her,
- 59:55Speaker 10: man what is up in this situation. Please know that
- 1:00:00Speaker 10: I think you should continue to enjoy your sons until
- 1:00:03Speaker 10: or unless you're soon to be ex wife changes her mind, okay,
- 1:00:09Speaker 10: or else you're gonna just it's gonna be confusion and mess,
- 1:00:13Speaker 10: confusion and mess, Steve more mess.
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: I don't The subject is the secret is about to come.
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: The secret is bound to come out.

- 1:00:32Speaker 9: what's bruh?
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: Bro's what's wrong with you? I mean you just you
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: know you've heard the saying hell have no fury like
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: a woman scorn? Now this is you all day, man,
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: I don't understand Now your ex and y'all split up
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: almost two years ago. She moved on and is dating
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: somebody else.
- 1:01:01Speaker 12: Okay, got it.
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: That she met at church. She had a baby a
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: month ago. She kept it from you for two weeks.
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: She don't know you nothing, She don't owe you nothing.
- 1:01:14Speaker 5: I found out after my pops told me. He said
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: she sent him pictures of her infant daughter, and my
- 1:01:19Speaker 5: sister wanted to visit the baby a few days ago.
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: My dad said, my sister's kids are in love with
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: the baby already, and she's the cutest little thing ever.
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: I called a woman to see if it was really true. No,
- 1:01:30Speaker 5: the woman is your ex because I told her she couldn't.
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: I was told she couldn't have any more children. Well,
- 1:01:36Speaker 5: she said that the doctor told her it was a
- 1:01:38Speaker 5: miracle baby, and you know that was it. But you
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: wanted to have one more child, so you accepted it,
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: happy with your sons, but you always wanted this one child,
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: a daughter.
- 1:01:52Speaker 9: So you can spoil rot.
- 1:01:55Speaker 5: Now. The lady told you that the baby wasn't surprised,
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: and she apologized for the way she found out, but
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: she said that the baby is a miracle baby.
- 1:02:03Speaker 9: That's true.
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: My heart was broken. Why, dog, right there, My heart
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: was broken. Dog you are y'all are split up two
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: years ago. See here's the part I don't like about
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: this letter.
- 1:02:19Speaker 9: He not saying up See that's not in the letter
- 1:02:25Speaker 9: right See.
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: Now something went wrong to cause y'all to be split
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: up over two years ago. When we come back, we're
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: gonna discuss this. But but but he's only gonna get
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: worse with what he's gonna say in this letter. So
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: this little scorn guy sounds a bit bitter like Shirley c.
- 1:02:46Speaker 9: Who. We'll talk about it when we come.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: All right, See, we'll have part two of your response
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: coming up at after the hour.
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:02:56Speaker 10: Subject of today Strawberry letter, The secret is bound to
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: come out now, and we'll get back into it right
- 1:03:01Speaker 10: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Life is unpredictable,

- 1:03:39Speaker 10: Globelife radio dot com. All right, come on, Steve, let's
- 1:03:42Speaker 10: recap today's strawberry letter. The subject the secret is bound
- 1:03:46Speaker 10: to come out now?
- 1:03:47Speaker 9: You know, does God split up with his wife of
- 1:03:49Speaker 9: almost two years?
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: She'd have moved on and started dating somebody she met
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: it to church, she'dne got pregnant or had a baby
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: two weeks ago.
- 1:03:57Speaker 9: Didn't tell him. She ain't obligated to tell him nothing.
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: But obviously you ain't close to the woman, because how's
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: a woman pregnant for nine months, and you get she
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: got your two sons. You ain't been over there, you
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: ain't seen the boys, you ain't picked them up. You
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: couldn't tell she was pregnant. So see, man, so it's
- 1:04:15Speaker 5: something else going on, because for nine months she ain't
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: been had, so for at least two months she had
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: to be showing then. So I don't know how you've
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: been picking up your sons and getting your visitation with
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: your boys and not notice that this woman was pregnant.
- 1:04:30Speaker 9: So that right, there is a gap in the letter
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: for me.
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: Now the woman has the baby, and send some pictures
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: to your dad and your sister and your sons is
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: in love with the baby already.
- 1:04:41Speaker 9: Now you always wanted a baby girl, so now you mad.
- 1:04:45Speaker 9: Your heart broke it. And she told you that it
- 1:04:49Speaker 9: was a miracle baby.
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: Doctor told you she couldn't have the doctors told you
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: she couldn't have no more baby what she had on
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: So the baby was surprised and so now and it's
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: a miracle baby, and blessed. My heart was broken. And
- 1:05:01Speaker 5: what makes matters worse is that her daughter was born
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: on my birthday. How crazy is that? It's called coincidence, though,
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: do you know how many people boring on your birthday?
- 1:05:15Speaker 9: Do you have any idea how many people got the
- 1:05:17Speaker 9: same birthday you got? Now you trip it? How crazy
- 1:05:22Speaker 9: is that? I told her I'd love to see the
- 1:05:24Speaker 9: baby and meet her new boyfriend. Man, what she don't
- 1:05:28Speaker 9: owe you that?
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: She said that wouldn't be possible, And then I had
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: to remind her of the wild night we had almost
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: a year ago, when we slipped up and had unprotected
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: sex three times in one night over a year ago.
- 1:05:42Speaker 9: Dog, do the numbers? Do the numbers? Now you're trying
- 1:05:46Speaker 9: to make something out of nothing.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: Well, I told her I have every right to see
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: the baby because she might be mine might and is
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: is too big difference? She don't owe you nothing. She
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: ain't asked him for child support, none of that. I
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: have every right cause the baby might be mine. No,
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: what's wrong with you? What did y'all do to even
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: be in line for this divorce? And now you sitting
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: up in here, you so hurt and bidder. I want
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: to meet the baby and the boyfriend. You ain't her daddy?
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: What dog you her ex? She don't owe you nothing?
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: I told her, I got every right to see the baby.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: She doesn't want her boyfriend to know. But it's bound
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: to come out. How's bound to come out? How is
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: it bound to come out? Though? I want to get
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: a paternity test? Oh did I mention that our divorce
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: is not final?
- 1:06:40Speaker 9: Yes it is.
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: It's over, brug Let me explain something. Let me tell
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: you something. The divorce is over. See look, man, when
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: people get a divorce the date that they that they
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: signed them divorce papers, that's just when the court legalized.
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: The divorce is over. Your divorce is over long before
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: you get a court date. The filing and what led
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: up to it, divorce is are long incoming.
- 1:07:10Speaker 9: Man.
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: So oh did I mention our divorce is not final?
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: Should I let her boyfriend know her it's up and
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: get a DNA test?
- 1:07:19Speaker 9: You know something, man?
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: I wish you would go over there and say something
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: to you. You might get you. You just might get
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: what you need or you have to get you. I mean,
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: you bring that or you have if you go over there,
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: because see, guess what what you're over here trying to
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: wreck my happiness for now you over here now and
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: now that you are going to be all that half
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: we had six year ago.
- 1:07:42Speaker 9: Now Why would you do that? Why would you do that?
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: You know why you would do it because you miserable
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: without her, because you did something to bring about the divorce.
- 1:07:52Speaker 5: Now you ain't putting none of that in your letter.
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: But you don't get divorced for no reason. And she'd
- 1:07:58Speaker 5: have moved on this quick. Well it ain't really quick
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: in two years year, but she'd have moved on because
- 1:08:04Speaker 5: you had moved on and done something else. I promise you,
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: this divorce ain't about no money or nothing. I promise
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: you this dude did something because he didn't say nothing.
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: Let me tell you something. If he had some goods
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: on this woman, the way he crimed in this letter,
- 1:08:19Speaker 5: you don't think he said it. She cheated on me
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: once before. This must be the dude she cheated with.
- 1:08:24Speaker 5: Ain't none of that in that? He didn't mention the
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: cause of the divorce. That's how I know something wrong,
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: because a man this hurt and bitter would have threw
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: that in there. So now he gonna bring up that
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: that that's wild night y'all had almost a year ago. Man,
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: why don't you let the woman be happy and gone
- 1:08:44Speaker 5: by your business? That ain't your daughter? Chances all you
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: don't need a DNA chances are, and you want to
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: go over there and.
- 1:08:52Speaker 9: Tell it why he beats your why his boys? When
- 1:09:00Speaker 9: I hope he beat your gotta teach you something.
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: Run over here, man, trying to miss up somebody happiness, man,
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: because you miserable with your little raggedant light.
- 1:09:11Speaker 11: You got two sons, man, And why they didn't tell
- 1:09:15Speaker 11: him that mama was pregnant. They never even said no?
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: Because dog dog, let me tell you what I think.
- 1:09:24Speaker 5: No see a man, Let me tell you what I think.
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: I don't think he all that close because how this
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: woman pregnant and got his sons and the sons ain't mentioned,
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: and he ain't seen the wife, He ain't seen his
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: girl exact pregnant nine most are pregnancy, Hugh, you couldn't
- 1:09:45Speaker 5: tell all right?
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: Listen, Thank you, Steve.

- 1:10:52Speaker 12: what y'all say. Okay, if you had a one year
- 1:10:55Speaker 12: to train for any whether it's winter or some Olympics.
- 1:10:58Speaker 12: If you had one year to try train what what
- 1:11:01Speaker 12: three sports would you be competitive? And if you had
- 1:11:04Speaker 12: one year just to train for the lifts?
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: A good question.
- 1:11:11Speaker 9: Championships, the championship.
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: In one year, slide that stone boy, okay linchornized swimming.
- 1:11:25Speaker 11: I'm in, I'm in the upside down dance synchronized one
- 1:11:29Speaker 11: year to train one year.
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: The train I got and go and and you don't
- 1:11:33Speaker 5: know long enough to stick out the water is gonna
- 1:11:37Speaker 5: be out the water to tell the story. I know
- 1:11:39Speaker 5: what I'm doing. All were gonna see it some What
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: is that splashing over there? That's topping he wanted to
- 1:11:50Speaker 5: do synchronized swimming with them?
- 1:11:53Speaker 9: You know that's all we can see is it's told.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Yeah, straight up, I got one break dancing in there.
- 1:12:00Speaker 9: Didn't they put didn't they take that out? They ain't
- 1:12:03Speaker 9: take it out.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: They took it out.
- 1:12:04Speaker 9: You're that white girl from Australia. Stop that.
- 1:12:12Speaker 10: I'm gone, okay, okay, yeah, I'm gonna train for the
- 1:12:18Speaker 10: women's relay.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: I want to run. Yeah uh yeah, I gotta year
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: the train. Yeah you need more than that. We we
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: have is a year. So that's what I'm gonna trained for.
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: Okay, what is you gonna use for a sports bright?
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: So when you get to running around that track and
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: you to knock yourself out and you're blind, you can't
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: see your way, you know you gotta be see when
- 1:12:47Speaker 5: you're track, my.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: God, answering's question, that's what I'm all all.
- 1:12:53Speaker 15: That out up.
- 1:12:58Speaker 9: But that's a hell of a hell relay to watch
- 1:13:01Speaker 9: them if they don't.
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: Worry about our storms. Broad I wrote, you sure come on.
- 1:13:10Speaker 9: Either one of y'all gonna be able to see where
- 1:13:11Speaker 9: each other at.
- 1:13:12Speaker 19: So, y'all, I hate this job so much over here
- 1:13:17Speaker 19: staying take that curve, hold the hand out, y'all in
- 1:13:30Speaker 19: my hands off.
- 1:13:34Speaker 9: You got the lead in the curve.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: You got the lead, ran track. I know what to do,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: all right, Junior, Thank you.
- 1:13:42Speaker 10: Coming up of the hour, the ladies in the situationship
- 1:13:48Speaker 10: with the with the married man and she needs some
- 1:13:50Speaker 10: advice on getting paid.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:00Speaker 10: This is from Korinn and Phoenix City. Karinn says, I'm
- 1:14:04Speaker 10: in a situationship with a married man. I'm less than
- 1:14:08Speaker 10: a side piece. It's an arrangement where he sends me
- 1:14:11Speaker 10: a check through his company to have sex with him
- 1:14:14Speaker 10: a few times a month. I'm on his payroll as
- 1:14:17Speaker 10: one of his consultants. Oh yeah, she wrote this. His
- 1:14:20Speaker 10: wife and I are in the same social circles, but
- 1:14:24Speaker 10: she's clueless. We hook up in his office and he's
- 1:14:27Speaker 10: been requesting more sessions with me, but he's not paying
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: me more. I think he's catching feelings and losing sight
- 1:14:34Speaker 10: of our arrangement. I need this extra money. So how
- 1:14:38Speaker 10: do I ask for a raise without upsetting him?
- 1:14:41Speaker 9: Good?
- 1:14:41Speaker 10: God?
- 1:14:42Speaker 5: Yeah, this is yeah, just from a business perspective. If
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: you're operating under any agreement in business, and in the
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: agreement it states what is expected for the fulfillment of
- 1:14:59Speaker 5: the agreement.
- 1:15:00Speaker 9: Once the agreement.
- 1:15:02Speaker 5: Expectations increase, there should be an increase in the fee.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: Oh you know, Okay, you agree.
- 1:15:12Speaker 9: I mean if I come to.
- 1:15:13Speaker 5: Work for eight hundred dollars for forty hours, but now
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: you want me to come in here for fifty hours,
- 1:15:19Speaker 5: then the pay gonna have to show that cookie costs
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: too much.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: So that's that's what she wants to know. How does
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: she ask him for a raise.
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: So you should just go in there and just say, hey, listen,
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: you can you can do this through your company. I'm
- 1:15:33Speaker 5: perfectly comfortable with that. But all this extra you're gonna
- 1:15:36Speaker 5: have to put, You're gonna have to make a deposit
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: or hand me cash and an envelope. You know, I
- 1:15:43Speaker 5: is the secret If that's what you're doing. Yeah, you
- 1:15:45Speaker 5: gotta get that dot you know what's wrong. It's a
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: body raise called either way you look at it's a
- 1:15:51Speaker 5: booty raise. You know you want money, you got to
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: pay mode, that's what this is, you know. With this
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: is a high level of.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not mad at her, won't she said? Situationship?
- 1:16:01Speaker 10: Yeah, so okay, but is he catching feelings? Is he
- 1:16:05Speaker 10: catching feelings like she said?
- 1:16:07Speaker 5: Yeah, he could be, he could so he's sprung huh. Yeah,
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: but you know you and his wife in the same
- 1:16:15Speaker 5: social social circus. Let me just also add this. You
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: do know your trifling, don't you?
- 1:16:21Speaker 9: Okay?
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: All right, somebody just you stay stay clear with that
- 1:16:27Speaker 5: that you're acting. You're committing an act of triflingism. But
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: there is also a price for that too. Sometimes it's
- 1:16:36Speaker 5: going to be a little bit of offset in payment
- 1:16:39Speaker 5: due to the triflingism of that you were entered into.
- 1:16:43Speaker 9: So situation, it's hard to get paid for being trifled, very.
- 1:16:48Speaker 10: Hard, although she's managed to find a way. All right,
- 1:16:52Speaker 10: we have time for another one. This is from Roland
- 1:16:54Speaker 10: and Chesapeake. Roland says, I'm dealing with a woman that's
- 1:16:58Speaker 10: newly divorced. She keeps telling me she doesn't want anything serious.
- 1:17:02Speaker 10: So we're taking our time to get to know each other.
- 1:17:05Speaker 10: In the meantime, I'm seeing other people and she knows it.
- 1:17:09Speaker 10: I had a date Saturday night with someone new, and
- 1:17:12Speaker 10: my lady friend called me midday and invited me to dinner.
- 1:17:16Speaker 10: I was honest with her and told her I already
- 1:17:18Speaker 10: had plans. She asked me to change my plans for her.
- 1:17:22Speaker 10: I told her that's not fair to ask me to
- 1:17:25Speaker 10: do that.
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: She got mad.
- 1:17:27Speaker 10: I would be loyal to her and her only, But
- 1:17:30Speaker 10: she's the one that said she's not ready for anything
- 1:17:33Speaker 10: serious yet. Am I supposed to wait until she's ready
- 1:17:37Speaker 10: for something serious?
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: Well, bruh, look you know what you're doing. You know, ladies,
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: you can't sign up for it and then not unsigned
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: up for it. You told the man you wasn't ready
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: for none serious you and you all so know he's
- 1:17:52Speaker 5: dating other people. She's throwing a bone out there to
- 1:17:55Speaker 5: see if she's important enough to you, and you informed
- 1:17:59Speaker 5: her that she wasn't. Now she's mad because she's now
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: discovered that she is not a more higher that she
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: doesn't have a higher level of importance from you, because
- 1:18:12Speaker 5: she just don't have it and you ain't finna give
- 1:18:14Speaker 5: it to him, because girl, you're going out with Finn
- 1:18:17Speaker 5: to hit you up and break you off, to go
- 1:18:20Speaker 5: over here and broke his date.
- 1:18:23Speaker 9: No, he should have get broke off on this date.
- 1:18:26Speaker 9: He's not canceling that.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: One, all right, coming up, He's to figure this out.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey.
- 1:18:33Speaker 9: Morse watching ignorant show.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: Some broke offs.
- 1:18:39Speaker 9: Yeah, maybe maybe Monday when I ain't got.
- 1:18:42Speaker 5: Nothing to do.
- 1:18:43Speaker 10: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. So here's
- 1:18:50Speaker 10: some good news for the comedians on the show. That's tummy,
- 1:18:54Speaker 10: that's Junior, that's Steve. Studies showed that adults that make
- 1:18:58Speaker 10: time daily to be silly and to have fun are
- 1:19:01Speaker 10: actually happier, they're healthier, and they're less stressed. Playtime is
- 1:19:07Speaker 10: important for grown ups. This can be anything that brings curiosity, humor, movement,
- 1:19:12Speaker 10: or creativity into your day. Whether it's doing a TikTok dance,
- 1:19:16Speaker 10: whether you're joking around with your friends or indulging in
- 1:19:19Speaker 10: a hobby. The mindset is what matters. Fun also strengthens
- 1:19:23Speaker 10: relationships and builds emotional intelligence.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: Woh, so there you have it. It's a good thing
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: to be silly.
- 1:19:29Speaker 9: I've been telling y'all stupid and said all that's fun.
- 1:19:33Speaker 9: Stupid was not in the surject. But that's what they
- 1:19:37Speaker 9: mean when they say silly, that's that's not what they mean.
- 1:19:40Speaker 9: What's difference between stupid and silly? I'll tell you what.
- 1:19:43Speaker 9: Ask Jackie if she like it when you stupid?
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: She doesn't care for wife, he doesn't care for it.
- 1:19:51Speaker 9: I don't like it as Marjorie does she like it
- 1:19:55Speaker 9: when I'm stupid? I can tell you right now, I
- 1:20:00Speaker 9: don't like that.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: No silly deal with and not stupid at all. So
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: they don't mind silly, but they don't like stupid.
- 1:20:10Speaker 9: Different.
- 1:20:10Speaker 5: We don't like a lot of silly though. See if
- 1:20:13Speaker 5: you too silly, if you're silly all the time, your
- 1:20:17Speaker 5: woman going okay, yeah, man over here, all right, Just
- 1:20:21Speaker 5: ain't the time or the place?
- 1:20:24Speaker 9: All right?
- 1:20:25Speaker 10: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:20:27Speaker 10: up at thirty three minutes after we'll play around him.
- 1:20:30Speaker 10: Would you rather right after this you're listening to the
- 1:20:33Speaker 10: Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:20:39Speaker 12: Rocket and Red Finn found that most of us want
- 1:20:41Speaker 12: stronger connections in our neighborhoods. What about a quarter of
- 1:20:44Speaker 12: us worry we're bothering someone if we try to start
- 1:20:46Speaker 12: a conversation. The thing is real connection doesn't come from
- 1:20:49Speaker 12: big gestures. It comes from everyday moments, small stuff like
- 1:20:52Speaker 12: grabbing a package for your neighbor or holding the door.
- 1:20:55Speaker 12: So don't overthink it. Wait, smile, say hi, because it's
- 1:20:59Speaker 12: the small things that end up adding up to something
- 1:21:01Speaker 12: much bigger. Find a neighborhood you'll love at redfin dot com.
- 1:21:05Speaker 10: Time for a rounded. Would you rather? Would you rather
- 1:21:08Speaker 10: never eat fried chicken again? Or would you rather never
- 1:21:11Speaker 10: eat ice cream again?
- 1:21:13Speaker 7: Oh?
- 1:21:13Speaker 9: Man, chicken, I never I never eat fried chicken again.
- 1:21:19Speaker 17: Yeah, that ice cream. I can't let that ice cream go?
- 1:21:23Speaker 17: Ice cream, ice joy. Okay, I'm giving up chicken. I
- 1:21:31Speaker 17: can't give up no ice cream.
- 1:21:34Speaker 5: I'm giving up fried chicken. Yeah, I have baby Barbie
- 1:21:40Speaker 5: cue it. I'm okay, I can't give up ice cream.
- 1:21:48Speaker 5: I'm a fried at ice cream and think about some chicken.
- 1:21:52Speaker 9: Yeah, put some ice cream.
- 1:21:57Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:22:00Speaker 5: Hey, you know they got a new flavor ice cream.
- 1:22:03Speaker 5: Oh they got waffles now, waffle.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Flop ice cream. I'm just good with plain old vanilla.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 1:22:10Speaker 9: I'm good with chicken wings.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: I eat some sherpt ice cream.
- 1:22:16Speaker 9: At the ice cream. Hell, no, soros and ice for.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: Neturally, listen to this one.
- 1:22:29Speaker 10: Guys in the bedroom, you want it slow and sensual
- 1:22:33Speaker 10: or you want it wild and quick.
- 1:22:36Speaker 5: All that in love stuff. No, yeah, wow, low, low
- 1:22:44Speaker 5: and sensual. I lay around and think about what you
- 1:22:48Speaker 5: just did.
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: So everybody says wild and quick. Abs, pick up your phone? Yeah,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: slap me, so at me?
- 1:23:05Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: Okay, what catch me?
- 1:23:14Speaker 10: Would you rather send a text to the wrong person
- 1:23:18Speaker 10: or text your ex to say hello, hey.
- 1:23:24Speaker 9: Hell that is the wrong person.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: See your point?
- 1:23:34Speaker 10: Would you rather have a musty body odor or sweaty
- 1:23:37Speaker 10: foot odor? You know.
- 1:23:41Speaker 9: I'm gonna have to take the feet shoes like I
- 1:23:45Speaker 9: always do. Problem all right?
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Would you rather watch the Winter Winter Olympics or the annual.
- 1:23:54Speaker 9: Dog Show on start over, Shirley Davis?
- 1:23:58Speaker 10: Would you would you rather watch the Winter Olympics or
- 1:24:01Speaker 10: the annual dog Show on TVs?
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: The win Olympics, not the dog show? You guys all
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: like dogs?
- 1:24:14Speaker 9: Obstacle course, get up.
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: Carla, Today's round and puts you rather our last break
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: and we'll close out the show with the crazies.

- 1:25:13Speaker 10: at the end of the week, the end of the day.
- 1:25:16Speaker 10: It's been a great day. It's been a it's been
- 1:25:18Speaker 10: a great day.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: I'll just put it like that.
- 1:25:23Speaker 10: Well, I was gonna say it's I'll tell you, nephew.
- 1:25:25Speaker 10: I was gonna say it's been a great week. Then
- 1:25:27Speaker 10: I thought about Reverend Jesse Jackson.
- 1:25:29Speaker 9: Just you know, that's all.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: We lost a big loss. Yeah, we lost it right, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: but anyway, yeah, rest in peace.
- 1:25:40Speaker 9: Great great memory of Omegas five yeah. Great.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: All right, Junior, you have a question for Steve.
- 1:25:48Speaker 12: Yeah, oh, can you talk to this a point about
- 1:25:52Speaker 12: the importance of having having joy. Man, you know it's
- 1:25:56Speaker 12: a it's between being happy and having joy.
- 1:26:00Speaker 5: No, I think the biggest difference of Julia is the
- 1:26:04Speaker 5: difference between joy and fun. I think that's the biggest difference.
- 1:26:10Speaker 5: I'm not so sure. Somebody asked me recently, hey, man,
- 1:26:13Speaker 5: what makes you happy? And that was a tough question
- 1:26:17Speaker 5: for me to answer because I don't know that happy
- 1:26:25Speaker 5: is the goal for me. You know, I happy, you
- 1:26:30Speaker 5: know what, to sit there and be happy. I don't
- 1:26:33Speaker 5: think that's the goal for me because the things that
- 1:26:39Speaker 5: do make me happy are usually tied to other people.
- 1:26:44Speaker 5: Is me providing something for other people gives me a
- 1:26:47Speaker 5: level of happiness. When I see my kids thriving off
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: something I've provided, my wife enjoying something I've provided, my
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: grandkids benefiting from something I've provided, that makes me happy
- 1:26:59Speaker 5: just but it more so makes me feel prideful. I
- 1:27:02Speaker 5: think it makes me proud of myself, which I don't
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: get to do a lot of. But I think the
- 1:27:09Speaker 5: bigger difference is the difference between fun and joy. See
- 1:27:14Speaker 5: the thing about fun when you see people all the time,
- 1:27:18Speaker 5: I just want to have fun. When I hear people
- 1:27:20Speaker 5: adults say that I'm a little concerned because I don't.
- 1:27:25Speaker 5: I mean, I get it if you're that type of person.
- 1:27:27Speaker 5: I just want to have some fun. But fun has
- 1:27:30Speaker 5: to be manufactured. And if you're a person that's always
- 1:27:35Speaker 5: seeking fun, you're gonna be a person that's gonna always
- 1:27:38Speaker 5: have to be involved in something. You're gonna have to
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: go out and seek other people. You're gonna have to
- 1:27:44Speaker 5: go out and participate in certain activities in order for
- 1:27:47Speaker 5: you to have fun. Fun is manufactored. Joy is different.
- 1:27:57Speaker 5: Joy resides with inner person. Joy is a lot more fulfilling,
- 1:28:04Speaker 5: and rewarding. Joy is lasting fun. The moment the activity
- 1:28:09Speaker 5: is over, the fun ceases. The moment everybody go home
- 1:28:13Speaker 5: your The fun for you stops when everybody goes away
- 1:28:18Speaker 5: from me. My joy is allowed to flourish in its
- 1:28:22Speaker 5: fullest form when I'm alone. I'm having good joy today.
- 1:28:27Speaker 5: When I get off this radio show, I'm going to
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: do some joyful things. I'm gonna go sit in my
- 1:28:33Speaker 5: fishing shop. I'm gonna ride on my property. I'm gonna
- 1:28:37Speaker 5: ride my bike around on my property. I'm gonna sit
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: in the middle of a field today, and you know what,
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: I'm gonna experience joy I'm gonna have an abiding peace
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: within myself that can only be given to you with
- 1:28:50Speaker 5: a relationship with God. I am going to sit in
- 1:28:54Speaker 5: the midst of turmoil and strife and feel none of it,
- 1:29:00Speaker 5: solutely none of it, because I've turned it over to God.
- 1:29:05Speaker 5: I've given him control, and He has given me an
- 1:29:09Speaker 5: unexplainable amount of peace, And in that peace resigns my joy.
- 1:29:15Speaker 5: I'm actually cool with me. See a lot of people
- 1:29:19Speaker 5: who are not cool with themselves. They have to go
- 1:29:21Speaker 5: have fun because they need other people and activities to
- 1:29:24Speaker 5: produce a sense of happiness within themselves. I don't need
- 1:29:28Speaker 5: that anymore. I'm perfectly fine being by myself. I have
- 1:29:33Speaker 5: found in my relationship with God a measure of peace. Man,
- 1:29:36Speaker 5: that's indescribable. I am telling you right now, I am
- 1:29:40Speaker 5: in the midst of a huge turmoil and storm that's
- 1:29:43Speaker 5: brewing in my life, and I feel no effects of it.
- 1:29:48Speaker 5: I'm perfectly cool with it. You know why, Because I
- 1:29:51Speaker 5: know God got it. I know God gonna take care
- 1:29:54Speaker 5: of me like he's always done. I know God didn't
- 1:29:57Speaker 5: bring me this far to leave me. Why Why would
- 1:30:00Speaker 5: God do that to me? Why would God bring me
- 1:30:03Speaker 5: this far? And then all of a sudden just drop
- 1:30:05Speaker 5: me off. Why would I have to start over now? No, man,
- 1:30:10Speaker 5: I'm just going through a period, that's all. And he
- 1:30:12Speaker 5: gonna fix it.
- 1:30:13Speaker 9: He working on it now. Man.
- 1:30:17Speaker 5: That's a sense of peace and joy that I can't
- 1:30:20Speaker 5: explain to people. I wish everybody could get to that
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: point in their life and know how to sit somewhere
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: and be enjoy and enjoy yourself. But you gotta like
- 1:30:32Speaker 5: yourself to have it to experience joy. If you don't
- 1:30:35Speaker 5: like yourself and know how to be okay with yourself,
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: you ain't gonna ever be happy because somebody you're gonna
- 1:30:42Speaker 5: count on for this fun activity gonna let you down,
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: not be available.
- 1:30:48Speaker 9: No, I can't.
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: Today, I changed my mind. I don't want to go there. Hey,
- 1:30:53Speaker 5: I'm gonna bring so and so. Oh God, Now, man,
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: The difference you need to learn how to do isate
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: differentiate fun and joy. Fun is an activity. Joy is
- 1:31:09Speaker 5: a residing feeling within yourself, and you can only get
- 1:31:14Speaker 5: that with a relationship with God.
- 1:31:15Speaker 9: Man.
- 1:31:16Speaker 5: That's the only way I can suggest you get it.
- 1:31:20Speaker 5: If there is another way, write a book about it.
- 1:31:23Speaker 5: You'll be a billionaire. But the book has already been written.
- 1:31:29Speaker 5: If you use it, you could be a billionaire in
- 1:31:32Speaker 5: spirit and in truth. It ain't got to be money.
- 1:31:36Speaker 5: Those are my closes the remarks today. I hope you
- 1:31:38Speaker 5: got something from it. If you didn't tune in tomorrow
- 1:31:41Speaker 5: you might get something then. Then if you don't get it,
- 1:31:43Speaker 5: then it'll be another thing too. Then if you don't
- 1:31:46Speaker 5: get it, then this.
- 1:31:47Speaker 9: Is probably self don't.
