Latest / Palafox Media Network / Meet the Candidate: Glenn Dorsey talks about Perdido Key community losing Public Restrooms
Transcript
- Glenn: In fact, just today I was sent by ⁓ one of my residents out in the Perdito Key area. They just tore down the last bath and shower stall on Perdito Key. So now Perdito Key is loaded only with Portolettes there. You want to go and develop tourism. ⁓ you're going to have to take a couple bottles of water with you and rinse yourself off and step into the the portolette because there are no more public bathrooms out on the quay. That leaves you almost speechless, really. Wow. Ingrade it is if we're gonna make this community better, it starts with giving our residents a place to go. We should have some nice parks in ball. I told you I I raised two kids here. I want them to play ball at a nice park. ⁓ I want when we go to the beach a place to be able to take a shower and use the restroom instead of having to drop into a portalet there. And if you look at the amount of money that's being generated out on that key through the T D T revenue, through the rental of of condos, there's absolutely no reason why we should not have nice bathrooms out.
