- 2:05Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on digging now, one
- 2:09Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show today. It's
- 2:14Speaker 1: real simple for everybody that's trying to become successful on
- 2:18Speaker 1: any level, in any arena, any genre. I don't care
- 2:23Speaker 1: what it is. If you're trying to be successful, this
- 2:27Speaker 1: message is for you. Let me help you understand something
- 2:30Speaker 1: real clear. You ain't gonna make it the way you
- 2:34Speaker 1: want to, and you're not going to make it to
- 2:37Speaker 1: the heights that's fully out there and available for you
- 2:41Speaker 1: without God. And I'm just keep it real simple and
- 2:44Speaker 1: clean for you today. You're not going to make it
- 2:47Speaker 1: the way you want to, and you're not going to
- 2:51Speaker 1: get to the heights that's available to you without God.
- 2:56Speaker 1: You have to get this through your head and try
- 3:00Speaker 1: it if you want to, because I did. I'm here
- 3:02Speaker 1: to tell you I am talking purely from experience. Here
- 3:06Speaker 1: you can try it without God, and you can see
- 3:09Speaker 1: how far you can get when you have some measures
- 3:13Speaker 1: of success. Of course you will. Will it feel like
- 3:16Speaker 1: days like you might make it? Of course you will.
- 3:19Speaker 1: But let me ask you a question, though. What you're
- 3:21Speaker 1: gonna do about them days when you feel like you
- 3:23Speaker 1: ain't gonna make it. When you're gonna do about them
- 3:25Speaker 1: days where it feel like there are no answers to
- 3:28Speaker 1: your questions. What you're gonna do about them days? What
- 3:30Speaker 1: you're gonna do about them days when everybody laughing that
- 3:33Speaker 1: you can turn against you. What you're gonna do about
- 3:35Speaker 1: them days when you just don't see no way through it?
- 3:38Speaker 1: What you're gonna do about them days? I got the sunshine,
- 3:41Speaker 1: you know, sunshine cool? Everybody got friends. When it's Sunday outside,
- 3:45Speaker 1: You want some friends, hit the lotto, you want to
- 3:47Speaker 1: get rid of them friends, go ask for some help. Man.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I'm talking about man. They scattered like roaches when lights
- 3:52Speaker 1: come on. I'm trying to tell you, so, now here
- 3:56Speaker 1: we go again, and you can do this without God now,
- 3:58Speaker 1: because I've done it, and you can have yourself some
- 4:01Speaker 1: measure success. Let me even hip you to a little
- 4:04Speaker 1: bit closer, though, Let me tell you why you are
- 4:06Speaker 1: doing it without God and having some measure of success.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Can I tell you why? Because of God's grace and
- 4:13Speaker 1: mercy to us, because of his grace and mercy trying
- 4:16Speaker 1: to keep us in spite of ourself, for the real
- 4:20Speaker 1: mission that He really got for us. See that's the
- 4:23Speaker 1: truth of the matter now, now what we're talking about
- 4:25Speaker 1: nasty See. So yeah, yeah, you can do it without God,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and you can have some measure success without God. And yeah,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you know, you know, yeah, you got your little degree
- 4:33Speaker 1: and everything. Yeah, you completed the program, got all that, YadA,
- 4:37Speaker 1: YadA YadA. But don't you know something. It's because of
- 4:40Speaker 1: God's grace and mercy that he helps us anyway when
- 4:43Speaker 1: even when we ain't asking for help, when he bails
- 4:46Speaker 1: us out anyway, when we don't even ask him to
- 4:48Speaker 1: be bailed out. You know why. Because He loves us
- 4:50Speaker 1: that much that he would allow us to exist until
- 4:54Speaker 1: we get our mind together where he could take us away,
- 4:56Speaker 1: really trying to take us. Let's get this real straight
- 4:59Speaker 1: and clear today. You can do this without God if
- 5:02Speaker 1: you want to, But I am telling you to get
- 5:06Speaker 1: to where you really want to be and to be
- 5:09Speaker 1: all that God has for you. You got to have God.
- 5:12Speaker 1: There's no ifs ands buts about it. And let me
- 5:15Speaker 1: tell you this here, I don't really care what nobody
- 5:19Speaker 1: had been told you. Are you listening to me? I
- 5:22Speaker 1: don't care what they say. Don't get this thing twisted.
- 5:26Speaker 1: They got these people out here talking about they luminatis
- 5:29Speaker 1: and all this here. Man, don't listen to me. Don't
- 5:32Speaker 1: get caught in this mess. Don't get caught in no foolishness.
- 5:36Speaker 1: You were created by God. God created you, ain't your soul.
- 5:41Speaker 1: We were all created in His image, all of us.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Don't get to talking about you find to cut a
- 5:46Speaker 1: deal with the devil in all you ain't cutting no
- 5:48Speaker 1: deal with nobody. Man, The devil don't do deals. He
- 5:52Speaker 1: one sided. I'm taking you to hell. You going to hell.
- 5:55Speaker 1: You're burning here. That's his deal. I want your soul.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I want you to lose hope. I want you to
- 6:01Speaker 1: take your life. I want you to take some other
- 6:03Speaker 1: people's lives. I want you to feel hopeless. I want
- 6:06Speaker 1: you to realize that there ain't no God. That's his
- 6:08Speaker 1: whole deal. His whole deal is negative. Oh, he can
- 6:12Speaker 1: talk you into dealing drugs if you want to. But
- 6:14Speaker 1: let me tell you something about this. I watch these
- 6:15Speaker 1: shows all the time, drug ink and all this here
- 6:18Speaker 1: cocaine mafia. Everybody on now go to jail or get killed.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Our prisoners has filled the day with our young boys
- 6:26Speaker 1: because they thought they could outslick the system. They thought
- 6:30Speaker 1: they had a way. They thought. They said to them,
- 6:32Speaker 1: been here, and they failed. For the old cliche, man,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I gotta do what I gotta do, I gotta get
- 6:36Speaker 1: this money. Well, the only reason you gotta do what
- 6:38Speaker 1: you gotta do is because, like I say all the time,
- 6:40Speaker 1: you didn't do what you were supposed to do. It
- 6:43Speaker 1: is but because of His grace and mercy that we exist.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And God has just taken care of you, looking out
- 6:49Speaker 1: for you. Got some angels encamped around you until you
- 6:52Speaker 1: get your mind right so he can get you where
- 6:54Speaker 1: you're going. But now I want you to understand something.
- 6:57Speaker 1: There's a cause and a consequence and a penalty for
- 7:00Speaker 1: everything we do. This outside the will of God. That's
- 7:03Speaker 1: for all of us. All of us have consequences, penalties
- 7:07Speaker 1: and everything that we got to deal with outside of
- 7:11Speaker 1: the will of God. Understand that clearly, don't get this
- 7:15Speaker 1: thing twisted sideways. You understand me. You know. I heard
- 7:19Speaker 1: a young man tell me one day. He said, uh, Steve,
- 7:22Speaker 1: you know, man, I just don't see how God looking
- 7:24Speaker 1: out for me, if he would allow all these things
- 7:26Speaker 1: to happen to me. I'm having such a hard time
- 7:28Speaker 1: in my life. I really don't see how there's a
- 7:31Speaker 1: god looking out for me. I live the young man,
- 7:34Speaker 1: I said, the man, it's just something. Man, you're still breathing.
- 7:38Speaker 1: He said, yeah, I'm standing here talking to you. I said,
- 7:40Speaker 1: you're still free. He said what you mean? I said,
- 7:42Speaker 1: you ain't locked up? Are you? Said no, I'm standing
- 7:44Speaker 1: here talking to you. I said, where you get them
- 7:46Speaker 1: clothes from? I bought him? I said where you bought
- 7:49Speaker 1: him with what? I bought him with money? I said,
- 7:50Speaker 1: where you get the money from me? So I got
- 7:52Speaker 1: a job, mister, h I got a job. I said, well,
- 7:56Speaker 1: well where you live though, he's our our apartment. I said,
- 7:59Speaker 1: where your department for it's the Harvey I'm working. I
- 8:02Speaker 1: got an apartment. I got a job. I was okay, okay,
- 8:06Speaker 1: So now this this God ain't looking out for you?
- 8:08Speaker 1: Thinkin finish telling me what you're telling me. Well, see, man,
- 8:12Speaker 1: I'm having it real hard right now. I said, hey, hey, man,
- 8:15Speaker 1: you are you hungry? Have you had lunch yet? He
- 8:18Speaker 1: said yeah, yeah, yeah, y'all already had lunch yet. I said, oh, okay, okay,
- 8:22Speaker 1: So gone finish telling me about this how God ain't
- 8:25Speaker 1: looking out for you? He said, oh. And you know, man,
- 8:28Speaker 1: every every time I try to do something, it seemed
- 8:30Speaker 1: like it go wrong for me. I said, but let
- 8:32Speaker 1: the man something. Man, I say, every time I go
- 8:34Speaker 1: wrong for y'all, say, somehow you survive it. He said, yeah, yeah,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I survive it some kind of way, but it's still
- 8:40Speaker 1: be all messed up for me. I say, but but
- 8:42Speaker 1: you still got through it though, he said yeah. I said, okay, man,
- 8:45Speaker 1: gone finish telling me how God ain't looking out for you?
- 8:48Speaker 1: And he stopped. He said, him is Harvey. He said,
- 8:50Speaker 1: how come every time I tell you something that's going wrong,
- 8:53Speaker 1: you keep telling me God looking out for me? I said,
- 8:55Speaker 1: because you're still here, man, I said, See, you don't
- 8:58Speaker 1: understand it. I said. You seem to think that you're
- 9:00Speaker 1: supposed to just supposed to skate through life, that it's
- 9:03Speaker 1: all supposed to go how you want it any kind
- 9:05Speaker 1: of way. I said, Man, Jesus, the test of your faith,
- 9:08Speaker 1: I say, God looking out for you the whole time.
- 9:10Speaker 1: I say, every time you tell me something going wrong,
- 9:13Speaker 1: you seem to turn around and tell me how you survived.
- 9:15Speaker 1: If you keep telling me what ain't going right, but
- 9:17Speaker 1: you keep telling me all these things you have. I said, man,
- 9:20Speaker 1: so what you gotta do is you gotta stop looking
- 9:22Speaker 1: at what you ain't got, column and start focusing on
- 9:25Speaker 1: what you do have. Column. But if you ain't happy
- 9:27Speaker 1: with nothing heating done for you, you wanted to keep
- 9:29Speaker 1: piling stuff on, I said, you fail in the test,
- 9:32Speaker 1: young man. The test is are you grateful for where
- 9:35Speaker 1: you are right now? So I could give you more
- 9:38Speaker 1: so we can move forward. He said, oh, man, I
- 9:40Speaker 1: never even looked at like that. I said, well, why
- 9:41Speaker 1: don't you take your blessed cell phone somewhere and sit down?
- 9:44Speaker 1: He said, I think I'm going over here and let
- 9:46Speaker 1: you finish talking. I said, thank you. So sometimes you
- 9:48Speaker 1: just got to look at what you do got, folks,
- 9:50Speaker 1: that's all it is. Okay, you can't make it without God, y'all.
- 9:53Speaker 1: You got me today. All right, let's be clear, let's go.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening show. Ladies and gentlemen, let me have it
- 10:03Speaker 1: your undivided attention first of all, before I get started.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Surely any request this morning? Anything? Oh so? Um? Just

- 11:50Speaker 1: in the morning in the students center, cleaning up the kitchen.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I was making this man. The only reason I took
- 11:56Speaker 1: the job because I stayed around in the kitchen, and
- 11:59Speaker 1: I found out how to open up the freezes. I
- 12:03Speaker 1: opened up in freezes, took some steaks out of there,
- 12:07Speaker 1: put them in a plastic book bag, and hung them
- 12:11Speaker 1: outside my window on the eighth floor on a hook.
- 12:14Speaker 1: And when you passed by my window, if you saw
- 12:16Speaker 1: the bag hanging out with the hook, you knew I
- 12:18Speaker 1: had stakes. Oh and so you sold sold steaks, Now
- 12:23Speaker 1: I sold steaks sandwiches. I had hot plate in my room.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I had had a deadI I had a double slate.

- 12:34Speaker 1: we lived in dormitories, that was illegal. What was imedi?
- 12:39Speaker 1: I want to hear what you did though? Oh wait,
- 12:43Speaker 1: what was illegal? Call? You were cooking in your room
- 12:47Speaker 1: yet in the stakes? To get to cooking in the
- 12:51Speaker 1: room all of that? Could you cook in your dorm room?
- 12:55Speaker 1: Tom he How was you gonna eat late at night?
- 12:57Speaker 1: Everybody count on't over? I'd have been at the party
- 13:04Speaker 1: to four am. I can't eat none, Yes, I gotta
- 13:08Speaker 1: wait on eight to the calm. Yes, yes, yes, he
- 13:11Speaker 1: has hot plate skills though, because he used to cook
- 13:14Speaker 1: in the morning on the show Carlin I had a
- 13:18Speaker 1: hot plate and electric skillet. Yes, eggs, Brian Eggs. We
- 13:23Speaker 1: had the radio station. I had breakfast every morning in
- 13:26Speaker 1: the studio. Yeah, that's what they told me. You can't
- 13:29Speaker 1: eat in the studio anymore. I'll say, well, I don't
- 13:32Speaker 1: know who the hell y'all gonna have doing this radio.
- 13:34Speaker 1: All right, listen, we gotta girl coming up at thirty
- 13:37Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, asked the crazy CLLO. Right
- 13:42Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to Steve Morning Show. So, Steve,
- 13:47Speaker 1: everyone is really loving your advice during your favorite segment
- 13:51Speaker 1: as the CLO chief Love Officer, would you say, Oh yes,
- 13:56Speaker 1: so let's go, here we go. This one is from
- 13:58Speaker 1: sin and Monroe, Louisiana. She says, I'm a forty one
- 14:01Speaker 1: year old woman married seventeen years. I caught my husband
- 14:05Speaker 1: having sex with the married lady next door. I saw
- 14:09Speaker 1: him sneak over to her house, so I peeped through
- 14:11Speaker 1: the window and watched them in her kitchen. I didn't
- 14:13Speaker 1: tell my husband what I saw, but I did tell
- 14:16Speaker 1: the woman's husband about it. Her husband's reaction was shocking,
- 14:21Speaker 1: and he told me that it's not the first time
- 14:23Speaker 1: his wife cheated. He suggested that I let him come
- 14:25Speaker 1: over and have sex with me in my kitchen. I
- 14:28Speaker 1: took him up on the offer, and that revenge sex
- 14:31Speaker 1: was so darn good. Should I let my husband know
- 14:35Speaker 1: what I did? I wouldn't. I wouldn't. I wouldn't. That
- 14:40Speaker 1: ain't safe. No, that ain't safe. And who is these
- 14:43Speaker 1: dudes that's okay with the other dude come into his house?
- 14:48Speaker 1: See who this dude? But you must be so fine
- 14:50Speaker 1: to him that he didn't decide that your husband coming
- 14:54Speaker 1: over his house screwing his wife into kitchen automatically gone
- 14:59Speaker 1: as him an opp tunity to come to your house
- 15:01Speaker 1: and do you in your kitchen. I had a dude
- 15:05Speaker 1: who used to work for me that had a saying
- 15:06Speaker 1: that he said all the time, and I never really
- 15:09Speaker 1: quite agree with it, but he said, oh, fag exchange
- 15:13Speaker 1: ain't no robbery. He used to say that all the time.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Fag exchange ain't no Robert. So, I don't know what
- 15:19Speaker 1: y'all gonna do. Y'all, y'all are involved in a fosom flinging.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Y'all are involved in a fossom but to only twosome
- 15:28Speaker 1: know it. Yeah, So I can't help you, ma'am. I
- 15:33Speaker 1: don't know what you're gonna do. But if you tell
- 15:36Speaker 1: your husband you feel to mess up. Yo, it was
- 15:39Speaker 1: so good sex, you're gonna mess that up. But you
- 15:44Speaker 1: you didn't even mention it to your husband. You told
- 15:47Speaker 1: it to the the woman's husband, thinking he might whoop
- 15:51Speaker 1: your husband's behind, But what he really wanted was yo behind,
- 15:58Speaker 1: got it? Work it out if I love it, break
- 16:01Speaker 1: it down better your girl? You better better? What good?
- 16:06Speaker 1: Just stay quiet? And I don't know. It's amazing doing quarantine?
- 16:10Speaker 1: That is it going on? Yes? All right? This one's
- 16:13Speaker 1: from Corey and Delaware. Steve Corey says, I'm a thirty
- 16:16Speaker 1: six year old married man and my wife and I
- 16:18Speaker 1: have been married for nineteen years. We both work at
- 16:21Speaker 1: the same college, and she recently became the media spokesperson
- 16:24Speaker 1: for her department. She loves it, but there's a big problem.
- 16:29Speaker 1: She will not stop talking now. All of a sudden,
- 16:33Speaker 1: she's an expert on everything, and she has to make
- 16:35Speaker 1: her opinions known. Simple conversations with her can turn into
- 16:40Speaker 1: a debate. She likes to revisit conversations long after we've
- 16:44Speaker 1: done with them too. How can I tell her nicely
- 16:48Speaker 1: that she's on my last nerves and she needs to
- 16:50Speaker 1: shut up. Well, I've just dealing some quick man. If
- 16:54Speaker 1: you thirty six, you've been married nineteen years, that's what
- 16:58Speaker 1: he said. All been married since y'all were seventeen. Yeah,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I think in seventeen years old, you got every right
- 17:06Speaker 1: to ask her to shut up. Well, I mean, you know,
- 17:10Speaker 1: I'm just saying. You don't hate baby, baby, baby, listen
- 17:13Speaker 1: to me. Listen. Can we talk for a second. Ever,
- 17:16Speaker 1: since you got this new position as media spokesperson, you've
- 17:20Speaker 1: you've bought your work home, and now it's kind of
- 17:23Speaker 1: difficult to talk to you because you're taking a very
- 17:26Speaker 1: authoritative tone, and I don't want to be a part
- 17:29Speaker 1: of your job. I'm happy that you got this new
- 17:31Speaker 1: career and you find what you want to do, but
- 17:34Speaker 1: I don't want it at the house. I don't need
- 17:36Speaker 1: you telling me everything because I don't. You talk too much.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Yeah I like that, Steve, I like that. That sounds
- 17:42Speaker 1: that's a very good reasonable response. You know that won't
- 17:44Speaker 1: make her go in. You talk to him, and I
- 17:46Speaker 1: know you don't realize it, but you talk too much.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I'm practicing for years. Yeah, you're rehearsal. I'm going I'm
- 17:59Speaker 1: gonna going there, tell her to Marjorie. Yeah, yeah, right, hey,
- 18:02Speaker 1: listen to you talk too much? But do a lot
- 18:05Speaker 1: of husbands feel that way? Yeah, yeah, yeah, hey, yeah yeah.
- 18:10Speaker 1: A lot of women feel that way. Yeah, but but
- 18:14Speaker 1: it's mostly men. Yeah, we like talking and express ourselves.
- 18:19Speaker 1: What time? Two things? COVID. COVID has brought a lot
- 18:22Speaker 1: of talking out. Yes, too much. Yes, women like to talk,
- 18:26Speaker 1: all right, this one much? Anonymous in Los Angeles. After
- 18:31Speaker 1: you tell Marjorie this, Steve, let us know how that
- 18:33Speaker 1: works out for you. Please, I'm not going to go
- 18:35Speaker 1: in there and say that at my house. Anonymous in
- 18:40Speaker 1: Los Angeles. I'm a hard working man because I want
- 18:43Speaker 1: to make sure my children have a decent lifestyle. But
- 18:46Speaker 1: I'm not getting support from my wife. She's very complacent
- 18:49Speaker 1: and it drives me crazy. She said there's too much
- 18:52Speaker 1: going on in the world and we should stay at home.
- 18:55Speaker 1: She's always negative if children tell her things they are
- 18:59Speaker 1: interested in, or if they get new friends. I wish
- 19:02Speaker 1: she'd go out and have an affair so I could
- 19:04Speaker 1: divorce her and take the kids with me. How can
- 19:06Speaker 1: I get this woman to be more open minded? Yeah,
- 19:09Speaker 1: he's sound, so you can divorce, And why don't you
- 19:14Speaker 1: just reversing. Why don't you go ahead of affair, make
- 19:17Speaker 1: sure she busts you, then she divorced you either. If

- 23:18Speaker 1: say this. We're at the the point of actually picking
- 23:21Speaker 1: you up behind items that have been taken from the company,
- 23:24Speaker 1: so I wanted to call and see if we could
- 23:26Speaker 1: get it taken care of over the phone now. So

- 25:17Speaker 1: How dare you call me six months later? You can
- 25:19Speaker 1: take ten paper clips and shove them up you're behind
- 25:21Speaker 1: Excuse me? Are we done here? No, we're not done here.
- 25:24Speaker 1: So take your video tape and your paper clips and

- 26:13Speaker 1: You are guilty of using the paper aren't you. We
- 26:16Speaker 1: all used paper filler. I don't feel, which means guess what.
- 26:20Speaker 1: It's against the law, which means you have your law something.
- 26:23Speaker 1: If you are taking one paper clip, it's against the law.

- 27:17Speaker 1: paper clips from the company and we want our paper
- 27:20Speaker 1: clips back. Bring your over here. You want getting more
- 27:23Speaker 1: damn paper clips, and I'm gonna call my man so

- 29:06Speaker 1: got to go. My rent was dude, dog ahead to
- 29:09Speaker 1: come home with this man. I can't be homeless. Coming
- 29:14Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, Entertainment and National News.
- 29:17Speaker 1: You're listening to morning show? Well Oprah hosted a two
- 29:24Speaker 1: part town hall meeting titled Where Do We Go From Here?
- 29:27Speaker 1: Oprah spoke to black leaders, activists, and artists about systemic
- 29:31Speaker 1: racism and the current state of America. Because Black people
- 29:34Speaker 1: are tired of having to prove our humanity. It's simple
- 29:39Speaker 1: as that. Director and producer Ava du Vernay called on
- 29:42Speaker 1: white people to educate themselves about systemic racism instead of
- 29:46Speaker 1: looking to Black people to do it for them. Democratic
- 29:49Speaker 1: politician Stacy Abrahams and Atlanta Mayor's Keisha Lanz Bottoms were
- 29:53Speaker 1: also on the panel. Actor David O Yelowo, who portrayed
- 29:57Speaker 1: doctor Martin Luther King in the movie Selma, talked about
- 30:01Speaker 1: how he made the talk about his racism and he
- 30:06Speaker 1: has dealt with all of this his whole life of
- 30:09Speaker 1: from being of Nigerian descent. Oprah also discussed the racism
- 30:13Speaker 1: and recent protesting. Take a listen to part of a
- 30:16Speaker 1: viral video of author and activists Kimberly Jones. Take a listen.
- 30:20Speaker 1: You broke the contract mood. For four hundred years, we
- 30:23Speaker 1: played your game and built your wealth. You broke the
- 30:26Speaker 1: contract when we built our wealth again on our own,
- 30:29Speaker 1: by our bootstrap. Saint Tulsa and you dropped bombs on
- 30:32Speaker 1: us when we built it in Rosewood and you came in,
- 30:36Speaker 1: you slaughtered us, You broke the contracts. And they are
- 30:41Speaker 1: lucky that what black people are looking for is a
- 30:43Speaker 1: quality and not revenge. A man Kimberly Jones's author, and
- 30:50Speaker 1: that its entirety. It's really good. Yeah, no, it's it's
- 30:53Speaker 1: really really good. Yeah, we saw it. We were watching
- 30:55Speaker 1: the show. Yeah, very good. Wow. Yeah, she's a young
- 30:59Speaker 1: lady with well I think she she had dreads in
- 31:02Speaker 1: her hair. They were like red and stuff. And say,
- 31:05Speaker 1: you know what I like, man, I like the fact
- 31:07Speaker 1: that there are so many there are so many fiery
- 31:14Speaker 1: activists out here who are able to speak eloquently and
- 31:19Speaker 1: articulate the feelings because you know, it's yeah, I don't
- 31:25Speaker 1: you know, I think sometimes when I'm talking, you know, um,
- 31:33Speaker 1: the anger part of it. Yeah, and you know, I
- 31:39Speaker 1: just but I've been pissed off so long, yes, and
- 31:42Speaker 1: you know it does come out, and you know, I
- 31:45Speaker 1: try to articulate what I'm saying in a fashion to
- 31:48Speaker 1: stay even. But after a minute man of talking, if
- 31:52Speaker 1: I talk for ninety seconds about it, I'm gonna get
- 31:55Speaker 1: mad because I'm I'm I've been I'm tired of having
- 31:59Speaker 1: to have this conversation. Now. The one lady whoever you mentioned,
- 32:03Speaker 1: Sherlotte that says white people should educate themselves on racism.
- 32:07Speaker 1: That's a difficult task when they don't know that it exists. Yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 1: see if it doesn't, if their lives have never been
- 32:14Speaker 1: affected by racism, they don't know whether start to look
- 32:18Speaker 1: it up because they'll they'll have no empathy empathy towards it.
- 32:24Speaker 1: And that's been the problem. If you your life has
- 32:28Speaker 1: never been affected by racism, where do you start looking
- 32:32Speaker 1: for it? How do you get the definition? You can find?
- 32:35Speaker 1: Once they look up the definition of racism, it goes
- 32:38Speaker 1: right back to it doesn't affect me. So no, they
- 32:42Speaker 1: need our help to show them. They need to see
- 32:46Speaker 1: all be getting gunned down by some vigilanities, murdered. They
- 32:50Speaker 1: need to see murdered. See they saw Eric garden To
- 32:56Speaker 1: getting murdered, but they asked was on spring break and
- 32:59Speaker 1: at happy hour and going on vacation. But this time
- 33:03Speaker 1: when they saw George Floyd answers at the house under quarantine. Yeah,
- 33:09Speaker 1: big difference. If we've been saying it, we've been saying
- 33:12Speaker 1: it's been screaming it all right, Steve. Time now for
- 33:15Speaker 1: it today's headline, Ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne True, thank
- 33:19Speaker 1: you very much. This is and Troup for the news, everybody,
- 33:22Speaker 1: and yes, good morning. While President Trump is scheduled to
- 33:25Speaker 1: meet with pastors, law enforcement, and some small business owners
- 33:28Speaker 1: at a Dallas church event later today, Trump is expected
- 33:31Speaker 1: to announce a plan for addressing disparities in economic health
- 33:35Speaker 1: and justice in this country. You don't know what he's
- 33:37Speaker 1: going to say about that. One of George Floyd's brothers
- 33:40Speaker 1: was on Capitol Hill yesterday where he testified before the
- 33:43Speaker 1: House Judiciary Committee. The hearing was on policing practices and accountability,
- 33:48Speaker 1: and it was the first since mister Floyd was killed.
- 33:50Speaker 1: His younger brother, Felonas made a plea for justice and
- 33:53Speaker 1: for fairness. George wasn't hurting anyone that date. He didn't
- 33:57Speaker 1: deserve to die over twenty dollars, I'm axing you. Is
- 34:01Speaker 1: that what a black man is worth? Twenty dollars? This
- 34:05Speaker 1: is twenty twenty? Enough is enough? Back in Minneapolis, the
- 34:09Speaker 1: police chief, their Medaria Aredondo, says he's starting a major
- 34:12Speaker 1: overhaul of his department with the first step, he says,
- 34:15Speaker 1: pulling out a contract negotiations with the union. He did
- 34:18Speaker 1: that yesterday. What our city needs now more than ever,
- 34:21Speaker 1: is a pathway and a plan that provides hope, reassurance
- 34:26Speaker 1: and actionable measures of reform. Medondo Arodondo, who's Afro Latino,
- 34:32Speaker 1: says that he wants to be able to bring in
- 34:34Speaker 1: outside experts to help him restructure the current contract to
- 34:38Speaker 1: allow for more transparency and for greater flexibility to make
- 34:41Speaker 1: meaningful changes in policing. Almost three months after CAPS cops
- 34:45Speaker 1: in Louisville shot and killed an innocent young black woman
- 34:47Speaker 1: named Brianna Taylor in her own apartment, the police have
- 34:50Speaker 1: released the incident report. It is virtually empty. Listen to this.
- 34:54Speaker 1: It's a four page report. At list of time to date,
- 34:56Speaker 1: the case number, incident location that she was a twenty
- 34:59Speaker 1: six year old black fe but blotted out are the
- 35:01Speaker 1: street number, apartment number, her date of birth. On the
- 35:04Speaker 1: line where you list injuries, the report says none, even
- 35:07Speaker 1: though Brianna, who by the way, he was an emergency
- 35:09Speaker 1: medical technician, was shot eight times, at least in her chest.
- 35:13Speaker 1: She died in a pool of blood. Her boyfriend was
- 35:15Speaker 1: with her at that time and she called. He called
- 35:17Speaker 1: nine one one that night when cops mistakenly burst in
- 35:20Speaker 1: one I heard a hairy Claire there. Somebody kick in
- 35:23Speaker 1: the door and died. My girlfrid Okay, why are you okay?
- 35:26Speaker 1: Then I'll made three deal, deal with three things. Bill
- 35:29Speaker 1: dive apartment four. My guy bread he because the chargers,
- 35:41Speaker 1: that's part of the calling, not the whole call. Under charges.
- 35:44Speaker 1: It says death investigation. That's who says on this report.
- 35:47Speaker 1: And they also says no forced entry even though they
- 35:50Speaker 1: used a battering ram to get into her apartment. Police
- 35:52Speaker 1: were looking for a black drug dealer who had a
- 35:54Speaker 1: white girlfriend, and that couple was peaked picked up early
- 35:57Speaker 1: that night at another location. New Jersey correct officer has
- 36:00Speaker 1: been suspended. His friend fired at his job at FedEx
- 36:03Speaker 1: after they captured on video taunting people involved in a
- 36:06Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter demonstration re enacting the murder of George Floyd,
- 36:09Speaker 1: which they thought it was funny apparently. And finally, NASCAR
- 36:12Speaker 1: just banned fits fans from flying a Confederate flag at
- 36:15Speaker 1: its races. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:17Speaker 1: You're listening, Well, NASCAR has officially banned the Confederate flag
- 36:26Speaker 1: from all of its events. This announcement comes just days. Wow. Yeah,
- 36:31Speaker 1: that's big. That's big. Bubba Wallace, you know, he's the
- 36:34Speaker 1: only black driver at NASCAR. He's you know, I mean
- 36:39Speaker 1: he called for the band, and Bubba went on to say,
- 36:42Speaker 1: no one should feel uncomfortable when they come to a
- 36:45Speaker 1: NASCAR race, So it starts with the Confederate flag. Get
- 36:49Speaker 1: rid of it. He even repainted his car and put
- 36:52Speaker 1: on black Lives Matter hashtag black Lives Matter and all
- 36:56Speaker 1: of that. Yeah, hey, listen, that is one of the
- 36:58Speaker 1: big reasons. You know, I've gone to a NASCAR event.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I was shooting a promo for a movie, Racing Stripes,
- 37:05Speaker 1: and we had to go to this NASCAR event. It's
- 37:07Speaker 1: my first time going to a speedway. It was amazing.
- 37:11Speaker 1: But I kept saying, and I was talking to the
- 37:14Speaker 1: families that had invited me down there. Now they would say,
- 37:17Speaker 1: we're trying to get more blacks interested in NASCAR. We
- 37:20Speaker 1: just can't. I say, did you see the flags out here?
- 37:24Speaker 1: I say, ain't nobody coming down here for this? Yeah,
- 37:28Speaker 1: ain't nobody bringing their children down here and exposed them
- 37:32Speaker 1: to this. I said that that will never happen, and
- 37:36Speaker 1: so they was going, wow, it's that offensive. I said, look, man,
- 37:40Speaker 1: it's very offensive. We in Georgia, partner Stone Mountain right
- 37:45Speaker 1: up there. I say, we understand that, I said, and y'all,
- 37:48Speaker 1: but I never thought that they would go after the fans,
- 37:52Speaker 1: because see, it's not the NASCAR with the flags, it's
- 37:56Speaker 1: the fans. Do you know how much money NASCAR makes? Okay,
- 38:01Speaker 1: let me let me give you an example. To park
- 38:04Speaker 1: your RV on the top roll that looks down on
- 38:08Speaker 1: the race track. Those parking spots are twenty thousand dollars.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Whoa I that. I know they make a lot of money.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Though to watch how many days bro bro it's people
- 38:20Speaker 1: pay for those premium spots. When you see them people
- 38:23Speaker 1: on top on top of them RVs with they share
- 38:26Speaker 1: set up, that's money in that infield. Man. It ain't
- 38:30Speaker 1: no first come, first serve you park Hill. It's cash
- 38:34Speaker 1: money to be in there. All the big RV companies
- 38:39Speaker 1: bring RVs. That's it's some rich people in the south man,
- 38:43Speaker 1: and all of them not racist by a long shot.
- 38:45Speaker 1: But you can go down there. You can buy an
- 38:47Speaker 1: RV at the event. Wow, listen, No, no, they have
- 38:54Speaker 1: offices set up. You could they bring RVs down there.
- 38:57Speaker 1: You see it, you like it, you can get it
- 39:00Speaker 1: and pull it over in your parking spot right now.
- 39:02Speaker 1: They got everything down there, man. Wow. But they also
- 39:07Speaker 1: have the poorest of poor element. It's the warants that
- 39:11Speaker 1: ain't got the money for them parking spots that right there.
- 39:19Speaker 1: All right, we gotta go Steve for d coming up
- 39:29Speaker 1: in thirty four minutes after the hours saved her name,
- 39:33Speaker 1: Brianna Taylor. We're still fighting for justice for Brianna Taylor,
- 39:37Speaker 1: believe it or not, and we'll talk about it right
- 39:39Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, well, we're still in the fight
- 39:46Speaker 1: for justice for Brianna Taylor. That's the black woman who
- 39:49Speaker 1: was killed by playing clothes officers in her apartment after
- 39:52Speaker 1: they broke down her door on March thirteenth in a
- 39:55Speaker 1: no knock warrant. Louisville Metro Police botched ray. That's what
- 40:00Speaker 1: they did. Take a listen to Brianna's mother, Tamika Palmer,
- 40:03Speaker 1: explain what happened. I am Tamika Palmer. I am the
- 40:08Speaker 1: mother of Brianna Taylor. Three officers on the Louisville Metro
- 40:12Speaker 1: Police Department used a battering ram to knock down her door.
- 40:15Speaker 1: They fired twenty two times. Eight of those bullets landed
- 40:19Speaker 1: in the body of the most essential worker I will
- 40:22Speaker 1: ever know. Brie was murdered by the Louisville Metro Police Department,
- 40:26Speaker 1: And after they killed her, they asked me if she
- 40:29Speaker 1: had any enemies. No, absolutely not. This story started coming
- 40:35Speaker 1: out differently and people started learning the truth of what
- 40:38Speaker 1: was happening and the things that went wrong that night.
- 40:41Speaker 1: Now the whole city is mad, and now the whole
- 40:44Speaker 1: world is mad. Brihanna should not be dead. Some days
- 40:48Speaker 1: I feel like I can't breathe without her. This should
- 40:51Speaker 1: never happen to another family. I am Brihanna Taylor's mother.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Say her name, O J. Yeah, there's no bodycam footage
- 41:02Speaker 1: of what happened, and Sergeant Jonathan Mattingly, detectives of Miles
- 41:06Speaker 1: Cousgrow and Brett Hankinson, are still on administrative paid leave
- 41:11Speaker 1: while the department and the FBI investigate their actions. We're
- 41:15Speaker 1: still fighting for justice, So go to Steve Harvey FM
- 41:18Speaker 1: on instagae. Now once again, this is when I go
- 41:21Speaker 1: back to we have to have mandatory sensencing for policeman.
- 41:26Speaker 1: If you killed an innocent person in the line of duty.
- 41:32Speaker 1: You have to do time for that. See if I
- 41:35Speaker 1: kill an unarmed person, guess what happens to me as
- 41:40Speaker 1: a civilian. I'm going to prison. It's just a matter
- 41:44Speaker 1: of how much time. If I kill a person for
- 41:48Speaker 1: any reason, it doesn't matter. I'm going to do time.
- 41:53Speaker 1: If you are a police officer and you kill an
- 41:55Speaker 1: unarmed person, damn what you're thinking process will Obviously the
- 42:00Speaker 1: training has failed or you didn't give a damn about
- 42:04Speaker 1: the training. You just saw a black person. And just
- 42:07Speaker 1: like to remind you of the black targets that's in
- 42:12Speaker 1: every gun range. Every target in every gun range is
- 42:17Speaker 1: a black image. So all we are to these people
- 42:23Speaker 1: are damn targets. Yea. They bust in her house playing
- 42:29Speaker 1: close detectives and shot her, and her boyfriend defended her.
- 42:35Speaker 1: They dropped the charges against him for shooting an officer
- 42:39Speaker 1: because he was defending his girlfriend and defending you know,
- 42:43Speaker 1: their home. But he can't really talk about the case.
- 42:46Speaker 1: There's so many layers to this case because and they
- 42:50Speaker 1: were playing clothes right, yes, and they had a no
- 42:54Speaker 1: knock one which means they ain't got announced themselves right now,
- 43:01Speaker 1: whereas to stay in your ground. Yeah, right, because we
- 43:05Speaker 1: don't know who you are, and you come into those
- 43:09Speaker 1: shooting yes, yes, her boyfriend Kenny. Yes, And I know, look, man,
- 43:14Speaker 1: I know, I know what they're gonna do. They're gonna
- 43:18Speaker 1: use this as he opened fire on us first. I'm
- 43:23Speaker 1: pretty sure that's what they're gonna say. And they got
- 43:25Speaker 1: no way of proving who opened fire first. And then
- 43:30Speaker 1: boom now and now here we go. You're back. But
- 43:34Speaker 1: you you have to have bodycam footage of everything. If
- 43:37Speaker 1: you don't activate your body cam, that's a crime. That's
- 43:41Speaker 1: another crime. You're right, you're right. We have to have
- 43:45Speaker 1: landatory sentencing for police officers who break laws, and we,
- 43:51Speaker 1: as the people, help determine what the laws of police
- 43:55Speaker 1: officer behavior is because we're the taxpayers who pay them
- 43:59Speaker 1: to serve and protect. That's right. And if we're not
- 44:02Speaker 1: being served and protect, why am I paying tax dollars
- 44:06Speaker 1: for a dude that could kill me because he ain't
- 44:10Speaker 1: properly trained and he races and he'll give a damn
- 44:13Speaker 1: about black lives. Black lives don't matter to police officers.
- 44:18Speaker 1: Enough of them. Now, this foolishness we're talking about, this
- 44:21Speaker 1: band and police departments. That's ignorant, All right, Steve, We're
- 44:26Speaker 1: gonna move on a nobody FINNI live like that. Now,
- 44:29Speaker 1: coming up next, we're going to switch gears with Tommy.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Tommy's here to make us laugh with today's prank phone
- 44:35Speaker 1: call that's coming up right after this. You're listening to
- 44:40Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour, right
- 44:43Speaker 1: about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today.
- 44:46Speaker 1: The subject he has taken performing in bed to another level,
- 44:51Speaker 1: another level. But right now the nephew in the building
- 44:54Speaker 1: with today's prank phone call? What you got for his
- 44:56Speaker 1: nest on off of docs methods on orthodox metholicks. Okay,
- 45:08Speaker 1: now that's all. It's gonna be a little crazy normally
- 45:12Speaker 1: you're stupid. Gave me this glove? Oh that I may
- 45:22Speaker 1: how he Richard Pryor all day I could. If I
- 45:29Speaker 1: could do any movie with my characters, it would be
- 45:31Speaker 1: which way is up right there? Part the straight guy,
- 45:35Speaker 1: the preacher, and the old Man. I got them down, Patty,
- 45:39Speaker 1: let me hear anyone I can't. They all got cuts
- 45:43Speaker 1: words and call. The old man was a beast man man.
- 45:50Speaker 1: Richard Pryde was just a straight classic genius. All right, y'all,
- 45:55Speaker 1: open the call, open to call this man. Okay, now
- 46:00Speaker 1: this man, y'all, he uh, yeah, he cannot conceive with
- 46:05Speaker 1: his wife. And I give him the man a call
- 46:08Speaker 1: and ask him what he liked to have a saragant farm.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Here we go. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach trying
- 46:18Speaker 1: to reach brother Robert as speaking. Hey, how you doing.

- 46:43Speaker 1: are definitely trying to bring her a new child into
- 46:46Speaker 1: the world. And she let us know that, you know,
- 46:50Speaker 1: she's being a little older now forty one forty two,
- 46:53Speaker 1: you know, she said it takes a little longer to
- 46:56Speaker 1: try and conceive a child than you know in your
- 46:58Speaker 1: earlier years. So we definitely wanted to let you know
- 47:01Speaker 1: man that we we got y'all in our prayers. Man. Man,

- 47:17Speaker 1: and brain, you know, brain brain brain bringing news a
- 47:19Speaker 1: new child into this world. You know the book says
- 47:21Speaker 1: be fruitful and multiplies definitely definitely. Now who is this again? Brother?

- 54:33Speaker 1: Oh okay, Dear Stephen Shirley, I am a thirty two
- 54:37Speaker 1: year old married woman and I normally never write into you,
- 54:41Speaker 1: but I heard you cover a topic that I'm going through,
- 54:44Speaker 1: so I'm turning to you for help. It's about an
- 54:47Speaker 1: issue that I've been having with my husband since the
- 54:50Speaker 1: quarantine began. He and I were having sex more than
- 54:54Speaker 1: usual and it was getting boring. I wanted to spice
- 54:58Speaker 1: things up with role playing. One day, my husband was
- 55:02Speaker 1: a professor and I was a naughty college student. Another day,
- 55:06Speaker 1: I was a rich housewife and he played the pool boy.
- 55:10Speaker 1: One day, when I was washing clothes, he came up
- 55:13Speaker 1: behind me and surprised me. It was a lot of
- 55:15Speaker 1: fun until my husband became bored with it, and then
- 55:19Speaker 1: when things got and then that's when things got weird.
- 55:22Speaker 1: My husband had been ordering costumes from Amazon, and I
- 55:26Speaker 1: had no idea. The first one he pulled out was
- 55:30Speaker 1: a wolf costume, and he told me I was going
- 55:33Speaker 1: to be Goldilocks on the way to Grandma's house. See Tommy.
- 55:37Speaker 1: He wore the big bad wolf costume while we had sex.
- 55:41Speaker 1: The next day, he had a fireman's costume and he
- 55:45Speaker 1: told me to get on a ladder in our backyard
- 55:47Speaker 1: so he could climb up and save me. I liked it.
- 55:54Speaker 1: There was a dog costume and I was the owner,
- 55:57Speaker 1: and he had a policeman policeman costume with fuzzy handcuffs
- 56:01Speaker 1: and other stuff. This is just too crazy to mention.
- 56:04Speaker 1: I told him I was tired of the costumes. He
- 56:08Speaker 1: got mad and he wouldn't have sex unless I dressed
- 56:10Speaker 1: up like he wanted me too. We have not had
- 56:13Speaker 1: sex since mid May, and I miss out, but I
- 56:16Speaker 1: had to put my foot down. He has been taking
- 56:19Speaker 1: care of himself nightly and I just stay out of
- 56:21Speaker 1: the bedroom until he finishes. I have tried other ways
- 56:24Speaker 1: to entice him to have sex with me, but he refuses.
- 56:28Speaker 1: It's all very weird to me. Is this something I
- 56:32Speaker 1: should worry about? Nd? Yeah, I think it's something you
- 56:36Speaker 1: should absolutely worry about because of his attitude. He's mad
- 56:39Speaker 1: and he won't get He won't have sex with you.
- 56:42Speaker 1: This is your husband. He prefers to fulfill himself nightly
- 56:47Speaker 1: because you won't get in costume. Yeah, I think it's
- 56:50Speaker 1: absolutely worth worrying about. And I'm thinking you must have
- 56:55Speaker 1: heard our letter earlier in the week about infantilism, about
- 56:58Speaker 1: the man who wanted to put the iperon. That's why
- 57:01Speaker 1: you decided to write us. And I just found out
- 57:04Speaker 1: today because I looked it up. That costume play. That's
- 57:07Speaker 1: a thing. I didn't know that that's a thing. It's
- 57:09Speaker 1: called cosplay. It's when adults don't just wear costumes on Halloween,
- 57:14Speaker 1: they wear them all year long during sex. Uh, and
- 57:19Speaker 1: they're committed to it, meaning they take on the persona
- 57:21Speaker 1: of the character and everything. I mean, I can definitely
- 57:24Speaker 1: see why you're tired of this. What adult wouldn't get
- 57:27Speaker 1: tired of this? Um, it's too much. I'm not in
- 57:34Speaker 1: costume when I do it. And what what are you
- 57:36Speaker 1: talking about? That has nothing to do with this? It
- 57:41Speaker 1: was about tell me, he said, anyway, it's too much,
- 57:48Speaker 1: and your husband's too much. And for him, this is
- 57:51Speaker 1: what what makes me mad about the situation. For him
- 57:54Speaker 1: to not even consider that you might be tired of
- 57:57Speaker 1: this cosplay or you know, that's very very selfish. It's
- 58:01Speaker 1: something's wrong with him. I mean, you're his wife. He
- 58:04Speaker 1: has to consider you, he has to consider your feelings,
- 58:07Speaker 1: he has to consider your needs and wants during sex.
- 58:10Speaker 1: For him to get mad, it's it's childish, it's it's selfish.
- 58:14Speaker 1: As I said, you're you're way way more important than
- 58:18Speaker 1: these silly costumes. I mean, and he needs to understand
- 58:21Speaker 1: that you put your foot down. Uh you did. I'm
- 58:24Speaker 1: proud of you for standing up for yourself. But but
- 58:26Speaker 1: I'm not with him with getting mad and not and
- 58:31Speaker 1: satisfying himself without you. That's the problem. And I don't
- 58:36Speaker 1: know if it's going to take counseling for you guys
- 58:38Speaker 1: to work this out. It might be even more deeper
- 58:40Speaker 1: than it might be even more deep than that. I
- 58:43Speaker 1: don't know, but it's an it's an issue, and uh,
- 58:46Speaker 1: it's it's a problem in your marriage. Sex is very important.
- 58:50Speaker 1: If he's acting like this, Uh, this is crazy. That's
- 58:53Speaker 1: that's what I have to tell you. I don't know
- 58:55Speaker 1: if this is a divorceable situation if you need to leave,
- 58:58Speaker 1: but you definitely have a problem in your marriage that
- 59:02Speaker 1: needs to be worked out counseling. I definitely suggest Steve, well, well,
- 59:08Speaker 1: well here we go. See this COVID. This COVID doesn't
- 59:12Speaker 1: brought a lot of relationship to they, right, it's some
- 59:17Speaker 1: stuff going on. This damn COVID is real partners COVID.
- 59:21Speaker 1: You might not get it, but something gonna happen that's
- 59:26Speaker 1: in your life that involves around COVID nineteen. You might
- 59:30Speaker 1: not get the virus, you may not need the vaccine,
- 59:36Speaker 1: but we have all been affected by COVID. True, true,
- 59:40Speaker 1: Now they ain't they quarantine. So they're having most sex
- 59:43Speaker 1: than usual. But it was getting boring. Now her ideal.
- 59:50Speaker 1: What's the spice things up with some role playing? Yeah,
- 59:54Speaker 1: so one day your husband wasn't professing you was a
- 59:57Speaker 1: naughty cottage student. I don't know how that work. We
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: join your paper in I don't won't tell no paper.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to be. I don't know what the
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: professor and the naughty college dude you got to do. Oh, Sheila,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: you're trying to get up and do your exam. I
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: don't want to talk. We'll get what I'm gonna have
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: to do to you then. I don't know how that worked,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: but that one was the most curious work to me.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: When Yeah, I want you to get to the fireman.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: All right, we'll have part two. We'll have part two
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: if Steve's response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject he has taken performing
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: in bed to another level. We'll get back into it
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening Steve Morning Show. All right,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: come on, Steve, let's recap today's crazy Strawberry Letters subject.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: He has taken performing in bad to another level. Well,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: it's thirty two year old lady in that COVID nineteen
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: gonna affected their manage. They ain't then having sex more
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: than usual, but it then't got born, so she thought
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: to spice it up there roll. So the first time
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: they played, he was the professor and she was denoted
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: college student. Yeah got, I asked in trouble when she
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: didn't turn that paper. Well, don't paper. I ain't got
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: no paper. Will I'll get what then you're gonna have
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: to be in dope? You ain't got your paper? What
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: yady girl? I don't know what happened right here. Another
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: day I was a rich housewife and he was the
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: pool boy. Now, if y'all ain't really got the money
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: fall pool, that was a haul. When the players water
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: in the bathtub? What are you in that doing it?
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Check your ass out of my yard? Messing lining out?
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: They everybody didn't clean the pool. I don't know what.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: I'm just trying to figure out what they do. Anyway,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: one day he was washing clothes and he came up
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: behind me and surprised me. It was a lot of fun.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: And then your husband got bored with it, and that's
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: when things got a little weird. He had been ordering
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: these costumes on Amazon and she didn't know about it.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: The first one he pulled out was a wolf costume,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: and he told me I was gonna be golden locks
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: on my way to Grandmama's house. Now let me tell
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: you what happened here. This one, this one was bad.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: They was they was hot. Yeah, this one was bad. Right,
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: They got hot that wolf outfoot. Wolf outfit is hot,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: especially if the wolf is on you. So he didn't
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: climbed on you with the hot ass great blanket, and
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: he just didn't hear slobbling because you know, wolf lob
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: mob hanging over and you up under the wolf. You
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Goldie loves you already got a hood on, so you
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: got a hood on. He got all this gray fur
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: on you, and he wearing you out with this wolf
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: outfit on. And why you didn't have a holly. You
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: got a crook in your neck because he didn't got
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: you hemmed up against your basket that you had on
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: your way to Grandmama's house because you know, it was
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: a basket in the bed and he didn't he didn't
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: move it out the way. Now your neck is cocked
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: because he got you prepped. The wolf and he wolfing too. Now,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: so he got your head pressed up against that basket
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: that's on that headboard, and that hot ass wolf outfit
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: and your your red riding hood, and that one was hot.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: So that was a bad experience. All it was was
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: y'all didn't get proper ventilation on that one. Probably. Then
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: the next day he had a fireming costume. He told
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: me to get on the ladder in your backyard. He
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: climb up and save it. Now, this one right here
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: was a problem because y'all outside now right right, I
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: guess I don't know where y'all stayed when you think,
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: ain't nobody gonna see this? Now you got your half
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: neck and ass up on this ladder. Now here he
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: comes another hot ass. This time the hot ass coat
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: is rubber. See the problem, y'all haven't went the costumes.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: All the costumes he buy is hot. He got this
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: big rubber coat on you up there with a neglig
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: They trying to act like you climbing out the wonder.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Now he up there just wearing you out in this
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: hot ass raincoat. And the neighbors got the video of
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: all this secar. He up there got his own fire
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: holes and he just up there saving your ass. Okay,
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: that was another hot ass outfit. Then it was a
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: dog costume and I was the owner. Your man like
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: heat the problem. Now he got dog outfit, you was
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: the owner. And then it was a policeman costume and
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: with some fuzzy handcuffs. He tried to back it down
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: and get your break didn't start up. So then you
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: told him you was tired of the costume. He got
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: mad and wouldn't have sex unless I dressed up like
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: he wanted to. Now, let me tell you what's wrong
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: with this whole story. Man, You started this. Yeah, well
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: you bought role playing into it, because while y'all was
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: rolled playing, he was on his computer on Amazon Hunt,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: parting all these hot ass out just ordering Scoopa Gil.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: He gonna come in there with a wet suit and
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: some fins, and you're gonna have on a bikini and
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: he gonna he gonna he gonna get on you with
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: this hot ass wet suit on. That's next. Then y'all
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: gonna be astronauts. He gonna come into that hot ass
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: helmet on and aftronaut outfit, and y'all gonna climb in
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: the washing machine and act like y'all in a space
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: caps He's gonna get the spins and gonna wear your
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: asss out. I know all the outfits he didn't got it.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Then after that he gonna he gonna got the Oh yeah,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: he gonna be what they call it or what to
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: do the funeral director more titious. You're gonna have to
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: lay in a hot ass cast and he gonna open
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: the door and having funeral and he gonna climb in
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: and shut the door. You're gonna be hot again. I
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: know all the outfits he had ordered on Amazon, because
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: if you like having sex while it's hot, then he
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: gonna order a carpet cleaning outfit. He gonna be Stanley Steamer.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: He gonna come in there steam your ass with that,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: with that carpet cleaning machine. All this is coming because
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: you was tired of having boring six. Well it ain't
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: boring no more, all right, Post your comments on Today's
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter and Steve Harvey FM and Instagram and I'll
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: get he gonna be saying class and you're gonna be
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: a hot as rain I ever get to check out
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: the Strawberry Letter podcast. Done to Man coming up at
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: forty six minutes after the hour, it's our girl from
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: the Talk, Cheryl Underwood. Right after this you're listening to show.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: All right, Steve, she is here. Please introduce our girl
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: from the Talk. Get your man right, hey minute, get it,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: get your costume on, Sheryl who. Thank you Steve Harvey,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: and you know what, thank you Steve Harvey for starting
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: off with a chuckle cuff man. We in heavy time,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: don't I think? We in heavy times? Yes? Yeah, it's heavy.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: But you know what I'm worried about. I'm worried as
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: the country reopened, you know, and as people start talking
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: about other things, I don't want us to lose track
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: of what what this rent as this anti racism wave
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: that's coming to When nascon say they ain't gonna add
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: a Confederate flag, girl, come on now, look here, there's
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: further the goal. That's when when David portrays farmer General
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: David Portrays say you need to change the names of
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: the basis. You know what I'm saying, and even dropped
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: the dime? Who dropped the dime that the dude, the
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: fort Bragg brasston Brag wasn't even a good general. Listen, Oh,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: white people got their own history all prel and would
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: drop it when they need to. All I'm saying is
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: I don't want us to get distracted. You know what
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: I'm saying. I don't want us to Okay, like Steve,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: did you hear about that, they're not gonna show gone
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: with the win on? Okay? Now listen, Shirley Scribberries, Now listen.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: There is a reason why we do not watch D W.
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: Griffith's Birth of a Nation. There's a reason why the
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: NAACP fought it as far back as there. And I
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: think that people gotta look at and study, like in
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: college studies and everything, to talk about what were they
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: trying to advance, What that racism, that bigotry that was
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: even permeating art. You know what I'm saying. When you
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: got Viola, David saying, I wish I wouldn't have involved
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: in the help and please don't buy this, no mo
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: And you know I get the point. But I just
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: want us to keep our eyes on the prize. The
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: prize has got to be. We got to stay organized,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: the prize has got to be. Some of us gonna
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: have to keep marching because once we start marching, everybody
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: gonna forget what the real issue is to fight for
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: justice inequality. And then if Mitt Romney is right, while
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: he on our side, he say that he believed the
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: Republican's gonna hold the Senate and the President gonna get reelected,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: this has got to be the goal. Get him out
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: of office. Trump got to go. Anybody enabling Trump and
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: all racests that think that they can still exist as
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: a racists have to know that a day has come
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: and we will not allow you to continue to be
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: racist and function in society. You must be anti race.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: There's no other side to be on. And this, let
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: me say this real quick too. In our industry, black
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: entertainers and producers of content like Steve Harvey is held
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: to a different standard. Hang on, Cheryl, okay, because I'm
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: gonna get to that right now. We're gonna bring you back.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Because they do anything, they won't they sholl still be on.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: I'm sorry. We'll have more with Cheryl Underwood at the
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: top of the hour. Right after this. You're listening, all right,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: our special guests, our family members, more with Cheryl. Cheryl.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: What you got girl? Well? What fights about? You know?
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: I'm glad I had a chance to calm down in
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: the break, stir the scribe berries. We talked to you off.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: You know, you know it has something to do with
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: one of my favorite fruits, pineapples, especially when it's in
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: coconut water. It is the list go to prevenion think. Okay, anyway,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: I'm getting a distraction. I was talking about the fact.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: Yes I was, thank you Junior for calming me down,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: even though you do, excuse me. I have to say
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: it so I don't get in a tas Okay, hey, hey, hey,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: hey hey, stick with the comments. Okay, I just want
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: this is what I want. I'm talking about Steve Show,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: and I want us to stay focused on what we
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: are focused on. We need the support of everybody with money,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: with focus, with platforms Lebron James and then what they
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: doing that help young black people understand the voting Snoop
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: Doggie dog understanding he need to vote. So I was
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: saying about black entertainers are held to a different stand
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: especially producers of content. And I'm making the example. And
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: yes I'm in daytime, but I gotta say this. Steve Harvey,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: in my opinion, was held to a different standard. Here's
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: the guy got a popular radio show like Ryan Seacrest,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: got a daytime show, popular, hosting one of the greatest
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: game shows family few, but white people's stuff can be wet.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: And why because they controlled the systems. They controlled the levers,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: so they can make decisions, but they don't want to
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: look inside themselves and go, did I hold this man
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: to a different standard? And Steve, if I'm embarrassing you,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: I apologize. But we got to root out the racism
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: and the bigotry. And people can say, what y'all got money,
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: what we don't have is power. That's what this is about.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: This is about the power to effectuate change and Black
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: Lives Matter show that you gotta have to take it.
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: You have to get out in these streets. And we
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: ain't trying to scare nobody. I'm just saying there's no way.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: When you see other WAT shows on and they will
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: get them chanced. They will even bring it consultants, they
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: will tweak it, they will ask you about your vision. Okay,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: am I going. I'm sorry, Tommy, I'm sorry, y'all want
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: to weigh in on that. I know y'all listening, but
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: you know the audience will be like, is there anybody
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: else on the show? No, you know what it is
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: sherl Is. Television is reflective of our society and it's
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: really rather obvious. It's just whether obvious. But when they
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: do get a successful black, yes, they parade that successful
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: black and go and to go, we're proud of it. Now.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: Once they see a successful black, they try to find others.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: And they only duplicated because of money reasons. If they
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: could find the successful white and make the money, they would,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: Everybody's not that way. Like what Freemountle has done is unprecedented.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Freemount who went out and sought after African American men
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Anthony Anderson, Michael strahand myself right and put them on
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: TV right in traditional roles that were not traditional for
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: African American men from a game show host's right, that's right.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: And once they saw the successful family feud, they quickly
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: jumped on it. But everybody else don't want to do that,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: and it's obvious they don't want to do it because
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: you can't find it nowhere else to bridge the gap
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: and not look at your color and go, hey, let's
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: give everybody a fair shot. Everybody didn't like that though,
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: but you got to become like that. See, you can
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: make a concerted effort like Freemantle has done in all
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: of society. When you got that brother that's driving the NASCAR,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: that make them remove the flags, that's what That's why
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: we got to keep going further. We got to keep
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: going further. And then can we get some sisters in
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: these same roles and then keep us there, don't just
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: made our time is over and the same thing is
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: happening in radio. That would be my next one. A
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: change is coming anti racism. That has got to be
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: the side that you are on. Amen. That's all right, Cheryl,
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: We love you girl, Thank you very much. Coming up,
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: we have some more music, We have some trending topics.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: We have some headlines to twenty minutes after the hour,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to show. So Steve, there's
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: this restaurant in Atlanta. Uh, it's called the Okay Cafe.
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: We all know about it. The people who live here
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: are visited here or here, but anyway, it's called up
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: right up the street from our radio station. When we
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: had right they cook sole food in there. It's called
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: the Okay Cafe. Uh. Some black people in Atlanta are
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: ashamed that they were ever patrons of this restaurant and
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: they were oblivious to the fact that the Georgia Confederate
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: flag was hanging up inside of this restaurant. Okay, uh yeah,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: So there's now a movement on social media Steve to
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: ask the owners to respectfully remove the flag. The restaurant
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: is owned by Liberty House Restaurant Corporation, and they owned
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: restaurants like Bones and a couple of others. But it's
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: still a lady that owns it, and she's been saying
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: some pretty not so nice things about the Black Lives matter.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Is that the one that said all lives matter something?
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: I mean, she's crazy and I've probably ordered something from
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: there fifty times really, but never again. Me and a
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: lot of black people ain't going in there, amore. Because
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: food ain't that, it ain't all that, it ain't worth
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: for flag. Hey man, somebody tweeting said, I don't light
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: food is just okay? Any damn all right, we'll be
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: back with more than Steve Harvey morning showing some trending
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: thirty three minutes after the hour right after this, you're listening, Well,
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: we're still in the fight for justice for Brianna Taylor,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: that's the black woman who was killed by playing clothes
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: officers in her apartment after they broke down her door
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: on March thirteenth in a no knock warrant. Louisville Metro
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: Police botched braid. That's what they did. Take a listen
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: to Brianna's mother, Tamika Palmer explain what happened. I am
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Tamika Palmer. I am the mother of Brianna Taylor. Three
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: officers on the Louisville Metro Police Department used a battering
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: ram to knock down her door. They fired twenty two times.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: Eight of those bullets landed in the body of the
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: most essential worker I will ever know. Brie was murdered
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: by the Louisville Metro Police Department. And after they killed her,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: they asked me if she had any enemies. No, absolutely not.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: This story started coming out differently, and people started learning
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: the truth of what was happening and the things that
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: went wrong that night. Now the whole city is mad,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: and now the whole world is mad. Brianna should not
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: be dead. Some days I feel like I can't breathe
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: without her. This should never happen to another family. I
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: am Brianna Taylor's mother. Say her name, Oh, Jesus. Yeah,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: there's no bodycam footage of what happened, and Sergeant Jonathan Mattingly,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: detectives of Miles Cosgrove and Brett Hankinson, are still on
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: administrative paid leave while the department and the FBI investigate
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: their actions. This is when I go back to we
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: have to have mandatory sensencing policeman. If you killed an
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: innocent person in the line of duty, you have to
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: do time for that. It's just a matter of how
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: much time. If I kill a person for any reason,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. I'm going to do time. If you
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: are a police officers and you kill an unarmed person,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: damn what you're thinking process was obviously the training has
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: failed or you didn't give a damn about the training.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: You just saw a black person. It just like to
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: remind you of the black targets that's in every gun range.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: Every target in every gun range is a black image.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: So all we are to these people are damned targets rested. Yeah,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: they bust in her house playing closed detectives and shot
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: her and her boyfriend defended her. They dropped the charges
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: against him before shooting an officer because he was defending
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: his girlfriend. And defending you know, their home. But he
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: can't really talk about the case. There's so many layers
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: to this case. Calls and they were playing clothes right, yes,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: and they had a no knock one which means they
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: ain't got to announce themselves. Right. Whereas to stay in
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: your ground, yeah, right, because we don't know who you
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: are and you come into dough shoot. Yes, that's a crime.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: That's another crime. You're right, you're right, all right. Coming up,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: it's our last break of the day. It's the last
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: break of the day. And some closing remarks coming up
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: at forty nine minutes after with one and only Steve
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: Harvey right after this. You're listening, all right, guys here
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: we are, last break of the day. Yeah, just want
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: to remind people to wash their hands. This COVID nineteen. Uh,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: it's still real. It's still real. It's still out there.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: People are still dying. And there were some Harvard doctors
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: on I saw him on CNN yesterday. They were talking
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: about by September we may lose two hundred thousand people
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: to COVID nineteen. So it's still serious. Where your masks, people,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: it's real. Where your masks, where you're you know washing dirty.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: We was before COVID. We must have been purty dog
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: on dirty. That's how we got it. But yeah, we
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: have to do that. We have to, you know, with
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: all the protests going on, that's great and everything, but
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: we have to social distance, remember to do these things.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: You know, Hey, let me say this in close. First
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: of all, I probably could not be more proud of
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: this generation of young people and the stance that they're taking.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I am overjoyed with their attitude about wanting things to
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: change but immediately. So for that, I feel really really good.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: But there's a lot of things man going on right
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: now and we have to be aware. Number one, the
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: world is still moving and the players that have been
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: in charge of this world are still making those moves.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: Let's just start with voter suppression. This is real. They
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: joke about it, the Republicans sometimes about voter suppression. That
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: senator told that joke. But behind every joke is ninety
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: percent truth. That's what makes it funny. Right, So here's
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: the voter suppression is real. What happened in Georgia on
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: election Day this past Tuesday was a prelude to what
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: they're going to do. They're testing ways to suppress your vote.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: They're trying to see how discouraging it'll be. So if
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: they discourage you in the primaries, you and you say,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: I'm not gonna go down there. Listen to me, young people,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: take this same fervor that you have and the anger
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: that you feel right now towards the injustices that you've
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: been seen. I want you to take that to the
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: polls because nothing would hurt them worse than to lose
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: their power, their position, and their money. That is their world.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: That is why they co sign and lend this bogus
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: consent to everything Donald Trump does. It is to protect
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: their power, their position, and their money. They're not gonna
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: go against Trump because they think Trump will get his
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: base to not vote for them. So they're sitting there
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: acting like they don't know that this is the most
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: unpresidential president we've ever had. They're sitting like that this
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: guy is morally corrupt. Their acting as though all these
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: acts of infidelity and the things he's saying to divide
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: the country really don't matter. Is to protect their power,
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: of their position, their money. We are going to the
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: polls in November in Groves. We are going to go
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: like we went when Obama ran because just like we
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: wanted Obama in, we want you out that same fervor
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: to get him in. I want that same fervor to
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: get him out. The next thing I want to address,
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: and we gotta be careful. Young people think everything funny.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: And I'm not talking about the protesters, but they got
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: this thing out now called the George Floyd Challenge. And
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: as white kids are reenacting the scene of George Floyd's
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: murder with the knee on the neck and they hash
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: tagging all types of stuff with it, who are these idiots?
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: These fools? See, look y'all, don't buy into this bullcrap.
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: It's some people that still don't get it. Racism is
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: in bed deeply into some people. This ain't gonna end racism.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Don't you think for one minute that this movement were
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: doing is going to end racism. We want to bring
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: about some changes, but racism ain't gonna die because racism
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: is real in some of these people's lives and hearts.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: They dressed their babies in clan outfits. Are you kidding me?
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: They put their little infant children in clan outfits and
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: taking a cross burning. This is not offing to go nowhere,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: but be aware of these these kids who joke about it.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: Who's got doing this? George Floyd challenged, say nothing to
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: play with man. Why is a black man's death even funny? Remotely?
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: The next thing I want to point to, Let's not
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: start in fighting. Look, Brianna Taylor's death is real. We
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: know it now. A majority of these deaths are men.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: But don't start on social media saying that y'all not
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: paying attention to black women who die because black lives
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: count with us as black people. Look, if you don't
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: think that we think black lives matter, come to a
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: black funeral. We love our children, We love our uncles,
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: our fathers, our mothers, our daughters, our sisters, our aunts,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: We love them. Brianna Taylor's name is not forgotten. What
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: sticks out is the police. What they've done to so
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: many black men, It just sticks out. But what they've
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: done to black people enough is enough. That's our fight.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: Let's not start in fighting, y'all. That destroys us every
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: time we start in fighting. This is time for us
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: to get unified. This racism thing is at a whole
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: lot of levels. It ain't just at the police department.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: It's down at your damn job. I got news for you.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: Racism is in churches because I don't know where the
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: Southern Christian leadership people are on this whole thing. Not
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: Southern Christian, the Southern Baptist Convention. I don't know where
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: they are this because I never hear him come out.
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: The Southern Baptist Convention the largest evangelical organization in the
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: United States outside of Catholics, and they never say anything.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: But I did some research and I found out they
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: were have one racist group that was for slavery, and
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: so maybe that explains that those are my clothes. Remarks
