- 0:49Speaker 4: Yeah, Joy, you want to do that?
- 1:06Speaker 3: You gotta turn I got to turn the mouth.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Turn I probably got to turn the mouth, turn out
- 1:46Speaker 2: the water, the mony.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Come on, you think that?
- 2:01Speaker 5: Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody.
- 2:05Speaker 5: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:09Speaker 5: one and only Steve Harvey. I got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 5: Real grateful for that. You know, it's funny. I remember
- 2:15Speaker 5: when I first started out in radio. A lot of
- 2:18Speaker 5: my peers laughed at me. Some of it was being
- 2:21Speaker 5: mean spirited. Some of it was just you know, mocking me.
- 2:24Speaker 5: I'm used to stuff like that. But I had a
- 2:28Speaker 5: special guest on my show, Joe Oldstein, and you know something, man,
- 2:32Speaker 5: he said something that was I can't remember the scripture.
- 2:35Speaker 5: I don't know exactly how it were like, we were
- 2:37Speaker 5: having a long conversation, but the gist of it was,
- 2:40Speaker 5: don't be upset with where you are now, and don't
- 2:43Speaker 5: be upset with the small things in your life. Be
- 2:46Speaker 5: grateful for the small things and the small position that
- 2:50Speaker 5: you have right now, because you don't know where that's going.
- 2:52Speaker 5: You don't know what that's gonna be one day. You
- 2:54Speaker 5: don't know what that's gonna lead to. And that was
- 2:56Speaker 5: very warming to hear him say that. But it also
- 3:01Speaker 5: reminded me of when I started in radio, how small
- 3:03Speaker 5: it was. It reminded me of when I started in
- 3:06Speaker 5: stand up making twenty five dollars a show. It reminds
- 3:10Speaker 5: me of not having a home at a period in
- 3:14Speaker 5: my life and what God has allowed me to live
- 3:17Speaker 5: in now. So don't be distraught over your position now,
- 3:22Speaker 5: and don't be ungrateful or unappreciative for the things you
- 3:26Speaker 5: have now because you don't know what that's going to
- 3:28Speaker 5: grow into. And that's really the gist of that I
- 3:30Speaker 5: got from what he was saying. I just wanted to
- 3:33Speaker 5: share that with you, that where you are now is
- 3:36Speaker 5: so temporary because now, like I've said before, now is
- 3:39Speaker 5: a fleeting moment. Right after you finish saying now, that
- 3:43Speaker 5: moment that you claimed as now, that's gone. So the
- 3:47Speaker 5: where you are now is a very fleeting process. Now,
- 3:50Speaker 5: you can change where you are now, and you can
- 3:54Speaker 5: change how you feel about where you're at now, and
- 3:57Speaker 5: you can change about where you're going by simp changing
- 4:01Speaker 5: your mind.
- 4:02Speaker 1: It is no difference.
- 4:04Speaker 5: I'm telling you, folks, the thing that I've learned about
- 4:07Speaker 5: successful people is not so much of what they do.
- 4:11Speaker 1: It's not what they have.
- 4:13Speaker 5: The biggest thing I've learned about successful people is how
- 4:17Speaker 5: they think. That's the thing that's different. It's how they think.
- 4:22Speaker 5: And I'm telling you that you can change the way
- 4:25Speaker 5: you think on any subject and start becoming successful towards that.
- 4:31Speaker 5: Starting now, you have to understand that. Man, the biggest
- 4:36Speaker 5: difference I've noticed between successful people and non successful people
- 4:41Speaker 5: is how they think. I was reading what it's God
- 4:46Speaker 5: said that he was taught all wrong about money. He
- 4:49Speaker 5: said that his father was very negative about money. He
- 4:52Speaker 5: all throughout his life he heard his father say, you know,
- 4:55Speaker 5: people who got money have walked on somebody to get it,
- 4:59Speaker 5: or cheated solf to get it. People who have money,
- 5:02Speaker 5: money is the root of all evil. Money is money
- 5:05Speaker 5: is this And people who got money, you know, don't
- 5:08Speaker 5: deserve it.
- 5:09Speaker 1: They've done something wrong to get it. Yah to y'all.
- 5:12Speaker 5: So he said he grew up the whole time thinking
- 5:14Speaker 5: that having money was something was wrong with that. He
- 5:17Speaker 5: discovered that it wasn't. Look you can choose to be
- 5:20Speaker 5: successful anywhere you want to. I've chosen several ways to
- 5:23Speaker 5: be successful. I want to be a very, very successful father.
- 5:28Speaker 5: I think that's one of the things that's paramount in
- 5:30Speaker 5: my life that I really am working hard right now
- 5:34Speaker 5: to become a successful father. Not a successful father in
- 5:38Speaker 5: terms of money, but a successful father in terms of
- 5:42Speaker 5: offering the amount of love and guidance and leadership and
- 5:47Speaker 5: the example that my children need to look at. That's
- 5:50Speaker 5: what I'm really really working hard at now. I want
- 5:53Speaker 5: to be successful as a father, but also I want
- 5:56Speaker 5: to be successful as a husband.
- 5:58Speaker 6: You know.
- 5:58Speaker 5: I want Marjorie to always know that she can count
- 6:01Speaker 5: on me, to not have to wonder about me or
- 6:03Speaker 5: look for me.
- 6:04Speaker 7: You know.
- 6:05Speaker 5: I want her to feel secure in the fact that
- 6:08Speaker 5: I really have gotten it right, that I really am
- 6:12Speaker 5: focused on being a good husband to her because it
- 6:15Speaker 5: means so much to me, you know. So I'm working
- 6:18Speaker 5: hard on a lot of levels. I'm working hard and
- 6:21Speaker 5: trying very strong to be a successful motivator of people.
- 6:26Speaker 5: I want to be a share of information to people
- 6:28Speaker 5: that will uplift others and give others the same things
- 6:32Speaker 5: that I've learned through the trials and tribulations of my life.
- 6:36Speaker 5: But at the same time share that information and use
- 6:39Speaker 5: the power of this microphone to uplift people, you know,
- 6:43Speaker 5: not to destroy it. My show is not about Ooh,
- 6:45Speaker 5: guess what so and so said? Guess what so and
- 6:47Speaker 5: so did. I don't like mean spirited things about people,
- 6:50Speaker 5: you know. I joke with people who calling this that's
- 6:52Speaker 5: another thing. But I don't like destroying people with the
- 6:55Speaker 5: power of the microphone. So working very hard on being
- 6:58Speaker 5: successful in a lot of areas of my life now.
- 7:00Speaker 5: Also I do care about being financially successful too, because
- 7:04Speaker 5: my father. One of the gifts he gave me was
- 7:07Speaker 5: very simple gift. He told me a long time ago.
- 7:10Speaker 5: He said, son, the best thing you can do for
- 7:12Speaker 5: poor people is not be one of them. And that
- 7:15Speaker 5: stuck with me. And this was a hard working man
- 7:19Speaker 5: who was a coal miner who worked construction his entire life.
- 7:23Speaker 5: My father didn't have an easy life man. My father
- 7:26Speaker 5: didn't sit behind a microphone. My father didn't come to
- 7:29Speaker 5: work and people cheered for him. My father wasn't famous.
- 7:32Speaker 5: My father was just a go get it dude that
- 7:36Speaker 5: he instilled that in me, and I've taken that and
- 7:39Speaker 5: applied it to my craft and I thank God for
- 7:41Speaker 5: him for that.
- 7:42Speaker 1: But I do try to.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Be financially successful so that I can do some things
- 7:46Speaker 5: with it to help some other people. Now, am I
- 7:49Speaker 5: opposed to having nice things?
- 7:51Speaker 7: No?
- 7:52Speaker 6: Do I apologize for having nice things?
- 7:54Speaker 7: No?
- 7:54Speaker 1: And why should I? I work?
- 7:57Speaker 5: You know, I'm not on the radio apps to give
- 8:00Speaker 5: me money, you know, so I can go buy a car.
- 8:04Speaker 5: I'm working, so I don't feel how you want to feel.
- 8:07Speaker 5: And other people do feel that way about it. But
- 8:09Speaker 5: if success in terms of finance is what you're lacking,
- 8:13Speaker 5: you can go about the business of doing that. I'm
- 8:16Speaker 5: writing a book, and that whole book is about teaching
- 8:19Speaker 5: people how to become successful. And man, I'm breaking it
- 8:23Speaker 5: down in a way where everybody can get it, man,
- 8:26Speaker 5: because I want the college student to get it, you know,
- 8:28Speaker 5: I want the working mom to get it, the single
- 8:31Speaker 5: mom to get it. The hard working father that has
- 8:34Speaker 5: been trying to hold his family together can get it.
- 8:37Speaker 5: The father that ain't ever got it together and feel
- 8:39Speaker 5: that because of that reason, he can't be the father
- 8:42Speaker 5: he needs to be. I'm writing something man, to put
- 8:45Speaker 5: it into words, to let you know that God is
- 8:48Speaker 5: a forgiving God, and that God is a merciful God,
- 8:52Speaker 5: and that God can get you out of any situation
- 8:55Speaker 5: you find yourself in. You just can't beat yourself up
- 8:58Speaker 5: every time you make a mistake. I make mistakes all
- 9:01Speaker 5: the time, man, I just got to remind myself to
- 9:03Speaker 5: get up. I ask God for forgiveness, I call on
- 9:07Speaker 5: his mercy and his grace, and I get up and
- 9:09Speaker 5: I go again. But it's coming, man. And if finance
- 9:12Speaker 5: success is what you want, you got to change your mind.
- 9:15Speaker 5: You got to start thinking about how to produce it.
- 9:19Speaker 5: The first thing you do is you gotta ask. You
- 9:21Speaker 5: got to ask to have a life and have a
- 9:24Speaker 5: life more abundantly. That's a scripture that He comes to
- 9:29Speaker 5: you to give you life and to give you life
- 9:31Speaker 5: more abundantly.
- 9:32Speaker 1: That's a scripture That ain't a joke, that ain't a theory.
- 9:36Speaker 5: That's a fact, and the fact that if you don't
- 9:38Speaker 5: have a life of abundance, you can get that by asking.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Then it starts by believing. And how too, don't even
- 9:45Speaker 5: worry about that. He takes care of that himself. He'll
- 9:47Speaker 5: send the stuff your way, but you got to be
- 9:49Speaker 5: willing to put some effort in this thing now, and
- 9:52Speaker 5: you can do it.
- 9:52Speaker 6: Okay.
- 9:53Speaker 5: I know I was a little around the place today,
- 9:55Speaker 5: but that's what it was. So you know, let's go
- 9:57Speaker 5: get it.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Moore Show, Ladies.
- 10:05Speaker 5: And gentlemen, Without further ado, I would like to start
- 10:08Speaker 5: the show now, A S A P. Or in the
- 10:12Speaker 5: words of my daddy, rat now, I want it done
- 10:17Speaker 5: right now, daddy, when you are right now? Yeah, Daddy,
- 10:22Speaker 5: when you are when I say it.
- 10:26Speaker 6: He never gave me a straight answer, man.
- 10:28Speaker 1: That was my father.
- 10:29Speaker 8: Man.
- 10:30Speaker 5: I think that has a lot to do with the
- 10:31Speaker 5: how I am today. My father never gave me a
- 10:34Speaker 5: straight answer. It was always to make you think about
- 10:38Speaker 5: what you said.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, see, we want you to think. I'm gonna
- 10:43Speaker 1: do it for you.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Good morning, Shirley, Carl up Mississippi, Monica Junior, and Tommy.
- 10:49Speaker 5: We're gonna I'm gonna give you an example of how
- 10:51Speaker 5: my father was this morning. Anyone can ask me a
- 10:54Speaker 5: question as a child, I'm going to respond to you
- 10:59Speaker 5: as how slick car they did it?
- 11:01Speaker 9: Carl her.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Daddy, what are we having for dinner tonight? What your
- 11:07Speaker 1: mama cooking? But is it chicken? We're gonna have it?
- 11:14Speaker 1: Can be, but is it chicken? It could be? But
- 11:16Speaker 1: is it rice?
- 11:17Speaker 5: The question is what is your mama? What is we
- 11:20Speaker 5: having for dinner? And whatever your mama cooking? What we
- 11:22Speaker 5: finished had?
- 11:24Speaker 10: That ain't answering nothing, But Daddy, I still don't know.
- 11:28Speaker 6: You ain't got to know. You'll know when she put
- 11:33Speaker 6: it on the plate.
- 11:37Speaker 1: What we're watching on TV? Tonight?
- 11:39Speaker 3: What good time?
- 11:43Speaker 1: Good time?
- 11:44Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 11:45Speaker 3: What time?
- 11:45Speaker 1: Do good Time? Come on? Eight o'clock?
- 11:48Speaker 2: Daddy?
- 11:49Speaker 1: Can we Well, that.
- 11:49Speaker 5: Ain't a good time for me because the baseball game
- 11:54Speaker 5: gonna be old.
- 11:57Speaker 1: So are we gonna watch the baseball game?
- 11:59Speaker 11: Then?
- 12:00Speaker 5: What you think we're gonna watch? If I want to
- 12:02Speaker 5: watch a baseball game? If you want to watch good time?
- 12:04Speaker 5: What you think we shouldn't look at? If you got it,
- 12:07Speaker 5: you watch what you.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Want to watch?
- 12:09Speaker 4: That is it?
- 12:10Speaker 7: Daddy?
- 12:10Speaker 1: That is it?
- 12:11Speaker 12: Next question, Hey, daddy, can we go outside and you
- 12:16Speaker 12: can play with me?
- 12:17Speaker 7: Dad?
- 12:18Speaker 5: Well, you can go outside, You're not gonna go to me.
- 12:21Speaker 5: I gotta go to work now. You can't play at
- 12:26Speaker 5: work at the same time. You're gonna find that out
- 12:28Speaker 5: in life.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Okay, that is yeah. Can we get a pool? Can
- 12:35Speaker 1: you get a pool?
- 12:35Speaker 5: Or what a swimming pool?
- 12:41Speaker 13: Like like the kids down the street they got a pool.
- 12:43Speaker 13: Can you got what kid down the street got a
- 12:46Speaker 13: swim pool? They gotta on the top of the ground.
- 12:49Speaker 13: Pool running there, pool running there. Ronnie Dixon and them
- 12:54Speaker 13: got a pool.
- 12:55Speaker 6: Okay, Well what you need one for.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Running? Got one?
- 13:01Speaker 6: If you hone a friend?
- 13:03Speaker 8: Run?
- 13:05Speaker 1: Hey, daddy?
- 13:08Speaker 14: How come when I ask your stuff you always say
- 13:10Speaker 14: you gotta go to work.
- 13:11Speaker 1: But then we don't never have no money or nothing.
- 13:15Speaker 1: What you mean you ain't got no money. We don't
- 13:18Speaker 1: have no money for nothing, daddy, But.
- 13:21Speaker 5: You just go to all your money for something? You
- 13:25Speaker 5: eating ancient em groceres. Right, you gotta go out there?
- 13:29Speaker 5: That's what that we paying for. Help I drive you
- 13:32Speaker 5: to church? That car costs money. All that money go
- 13:35Speaker 5: for something. We ain't got no money for that.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Little bs.
- 13:38Speaker 6: You won't that one wrong, Thank.
- 13:40Speaker 1: You, Daddy.

- 14:32Speaker 7: Let's go get Hello.
- 14:35Speaker 13: Hello, I'm looking for a williamster.
- 14:40Speaker 1: How you doing? Listen?
- 14:41Speaker 13: My name is Simmons. I was I don't know how
- 14:45Speaker 13: to uh oh man. My wife and I evidently go
- 14:49Speaker 13: to the same fertility specialist that you and your wife
- 14:53Speaker 13: go to.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Doctor doc.
- 14:55Speaker 7: You know.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Are you familiar with doctor?
- 14:57Speaker 9: I'm familiar with doctor, but as supposed to be confidential.
- 15:00Speaker 13: Yeah, I'm aware of that as well, sir. My wife
- 15:03Speaker 13: is out on business right now. She's she's gone for
- 15:05Speaker 13: I won't be back until tuesday. But I got a
- 15:08Speaker 13: call today a very disturbing phone call and wanted to
- 15:12Speaker 13: you know, I looked your number up.
- 15:13Speaker 1: They did tell me what was going on, and kind.
- 15:16Speaker 9: Of wanted to look somebody told you my number you
- 15:18Speaker 9: got you got my number from somebody.
- 15:20Speaker 13: No, I looked up your number. Uh here here it
- 15:25Speaker 13: is in that show my wife and I. Evidently you
- 15:28Speaker 13: and you and your wife have been going through the
- 15:29Speaker 13: same type of problems of trying to get pregnant and
- 15:32Speaker 13: so forth and so on, and uh, from my understanding,
- 15:35Speaker 13: your wife is what four five months pregnant. I'm not sure.
- 15:39Speaker 9: Yeah, wait a minute, my wife is exactly five months pregnant.
- 15:43Speaker 9: But I'm still confused on how you're getting in touch
- 15:44Speaker 9: with me and what this has to do with me. Well,
- 15:47Speaker 9: I mean, all that stuff that we've gone through is
- 15:48Speaker 9: totally confidential, and I'm kind of offended that you're calling me.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I understand that.
- 15:53Speaker 13: Well, what's what's happening is I got a phone call
- 15:56Speaker 13: from the doctor's office today. It seems like there's been
- 15:58Speaker 13: a huge.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Mistake by the doctor's office.
- 16:01Speaker 13: Evidently your wife has been artificially inseminated with my seed.
- 16:08Speaker 13: And I was I mean, I'm just as disturbed as
- 16:13Speaker 13: you are, you know, what I mean, because I mean
- 16:15Speaker 13: me and my wife are you know, my wife is
- 16:17Speaker 13: too much pregnant, and finally.
- 16:19Speaker 9: How could they do something like that. I mean, that
- 16:21Speaker 9: doesn't make any sense.
- 16:22Speaker 13: I mean, sir, I have no idea. All I know
- 16:25Speaker 13: is is that you know, I hate to use the expression,
- 16:29Speaker 13: but I'm I'm I'm your wife's baby's daddy.
- 16:33Speaker 8: And and.
- 16:35Speaker 9: No, okay wait a minute, no, no, no, no, so mixed
- 16:42Speaker 9: that that doesn't happen, no way.
- 16:44Speaker 13: So I'm trying to make sure I bring the news
- 16:46Speaker 13: to you and see if there's anything that we can
- 16:48Speaker 13: do to I mean, I mean, after being five months pregnant,
- 16:50Speaker 13: it's kind of hard to direct to fight a problem.
- 16:52Speaker 9: So I want this to sound rude, and I don't
- 16:54Speaker 9: want to sound wrong. You said, baby daddy, are you black?
- 16:59Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah black?
- 17:02Speaker 9: And my wife is gonna have a black baby.
- 17:04Speaker 13: Well yeah, your wife is gonna have a black baby.
- 17:06Speaker 13: But what I want you to know is I'm not
- 17:08Speaker 13: paying non support.
- 17:10Speaker 1: That's what about.
- 17:12Speaker 9: Child support, and my wife is having some other black
- 17:15Speaker 9: dude's kid. Are you crazy?
- 17:17Speaker 13: No, I'm not, No, I'm not out of my mind.
- 17:20Speaker 13: I'm just saying I didn't lay it down and conceive
- 17:23Speaker 13: a child with your with your wife. So I'm making
- 17:26Speaker 13: sure I'm not gonna be paying.
- 17:28Speaker 1: The child support.
- 17:29Speaker 9: Man, I'm not even worried about the child support. I
- 17:31Speaker 9: don't pay the doll support. I'm worried about some doctor
- 17:35Speaker 9: making a huge mistake. And and oh my god, your
- 17:39Speaker 9: wife is having it, gonna have a black baby. I
- 17:41Speaker 9: can't believe that. This is unbelievable, unbelievable and I can't
- 17:46Speaker 9: believe it. He call my house, give me the doctor,

- 22:08Speaker 14: Sesame needs you. It is time for a chief Love
- 22:12Speaker 14: officer to answer some love questions from you. This one's
- 22:15Speaker 14: from Donnie and Lexington. Donnie says, my mother and I
- 22:18Speaker 14: own a rental home in a not so good part
- 22:20Speaker 14: of town, and she's letting one of her old male
- 22:23Speaker 14: friends stay in the house and isn't charging him the
- 22:26Speaker 14: full rent. I think he's a bootlegger because there's a
- 22:30Speaker 14: stash of liquor in the basement and I have watched
- 22:33Speaker 14: people come and go from there. I told my mom
- 22:36Speaker 14: it's time to sell the property, and she got upset.
- 22:39Speaker 14: I suspect she might be part of his underground enterprise.
- 22:43Speaker 1: How do I go against my mom?
- 22:46Speaker 6: You can't. You can't.
- 22:48Speaker 5: It's probably your mama's house. I don't know how it worked,
- 22:51Speaker 5: how y'all bought it. I don't really understand that. But
- 22:54Speaker 5: your mama is involved in the bootleg operation. It's been
- 22:58Speaker 5: going on in the hood for years, so has nothing
- 23:01Speaker 5: to do with you. Go sit you down somewhere. The
- 23:04Speaker 5: reason getting his half rent is because she getting half
- 23:07Speaker 5: of the proceeds coming up out that basement. Now unless
- 23:10Speaker 5: you're gonna start running moonshine. You ain't got nothing to
- 23:14Speaker 5: do with this. Now, you take your a little young
- 23:16Speaker 5: to college and get you an education and stay out
- 23:19Speaker 5: of grown folks business.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Next question, All right, Jenna and Queen, your.
- 23:25Speaker 5: Mama's a bootlegger. Yes, she might be running numbers too.
- 23:30Speaker 5: Show you might want to look into that.
- 23:34Speaker 14: Jena and Queen says, I'm a thirty seven year old
- 23:36Speaker 14: woman and I bray hair for a living. I have
- 23:38Speaker 14: a forty seven year old boyfriend that works as a
- 23:41Speaker 14: restaurant manager.
- 23:42Speaker 1: He referred one of his.
- 23:43Speaker 14: Waitresses to get her hair done and she paid me
- 23:46Speaker 14: in cash two hundred and ten dollars. When she was leaving,
- 23:51Speaker 14: she said she was going to thank my man for
- 23:53Speaker 14: getting her hair done. I called him and asked him
- 23:56Speaker 14: if he paid for it, and he denied it. I
- 23:58Speaker 14: don't know who to believe, and I want to beat
- 24:01Speaker 14: them both. Why would she lie about it?
- 24:05Speaker 6: Well, what did she lie about it?
- 24:07Speaker 5: I don't think that she Well, she said she gonna
- 24:11Speaker 5: go and and forgetting her hair done. Could she have
- 24:14Speaker 5: been said, I want to thank your man for sending
- 24:18Speaker 5: me over here to get my hair done, because you
- 24:20Speaker 5: did such a wonderful job.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Cash.
- 24:24Speaker 14: She paid in cash, and yeah, and she thinks her
- 24:27Speaker 14: man supply the money for it, paid for it.
- 24:31Speaker 6: Well, you know, there are some stupid men in this world.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Yeah, he denied it, He said he didn't. Well maybe
- 24:37Speaker 1: what you said, see maybe.
- 24:40Speaker 5: That, I mean it could be. I just want to
- 24:41Speaker 5: thank him for sending me over here. Man, you did
- 24:45Speaker 5: such a great job. Man, I don't know if cash
- 24:48Speaker 5: meant that he gave it to her. You know, he
- 24:51Speaker 5: just recommended that she go what she looked like. You know,
- 24:55Speaker 5: that's the last time, you know, that's our last time. Yeah,
- 24:59Speaker 5: that ain't gonna help me. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's
- 25:01Speaker 5: the last time I'm doing the hair.
- 25:02Speaker 6: You can bleed that.
- 25:03Speaker 5: But you got two hundred and ten dollars cash. What
- 25:05Speaker 5: you want now? You didn't have braiden Bier sus I ain't.
- 25:09Speaker 1: You know? She was throwing shade?
- 25:11Speaker 5: Yeah, oh yeah, Why you sit her over there to
- 25:15Speaker 5: your woman if you're doing something, it's beyond stupidity to me.
- 25:20Speaker 12: All the place you could have sent her, well.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Wow, the whole lot Pautier could braid hair wanted.
- 25:27Speaker 6: She didn't pull it out when she said that.
- 25:29Speaker 1: You could have pulled her braid right on the back
- 25:30Speaker 1: out of there.
- 25:33Speaker 5: No, she paid was walking out the door. You think
- 25:37Speaker 5: you're gonna take some braids out of woman's hair after
- 25:39Speaker 5: she just had them done, set there for hours. I
- 25:41Speaker 5: got a whole other news for you. That's a whole
- 25:44Speaker 5: other strawberry letter in.
- 25:47Speaker 1: She snatched my braid. That's the subject, all right. Moving
- 25:54Speaker 1: on Mika and Fayette.
- 25:55Speaker 14: Bill says, I'm a fifty year old divorced woman and
- 25:58Speaker 14: I'm still having sex with my husband. He is remarried,
- 26:01Speaker 14: but his wife doesn't enjoy sex as much as I do,
- 26:04Speaker 14: so we have an arrangement. He said it's getting too
- 26:07Speaker 14: expensive and he wants to pay me a flat rate
- 26:10Speaker 14: monthly instead of each time he visits. I told him
- 26:13Speaker 14: he could get it free if he left his wife
- 26:14Speaker 14: and came back to me. He hasn't called me in
- 26:17Speaker 14: a few days. Is he considering it? Or did I
- 26:19Speaker 14: run him off for good?
- 26:21Speaker 7: Now?
- 26:22Speaker 6: You ran him off, You raad him off.
- 26:24Speaker 5: He's your ex for a reason. He want you for
- 26:26Speaker 5: what he got you for, not for nothing else. You
- 26:29Speaker 5: too much with the rest of it. You're just too much.
- 26:32Speaker 5: It's too much with you. But if I can just
- 26:34Speaker 5: come over here now here on a flat rate. So
- 26:37Speaker 5: now you're not really having sex with your ex husband.
- 26:42Speaker 6: You are the owner.
- 26:44Speaker 5: And operator of the brothel, and now you won't And
- 26:51Speaker 5: you think he's reinconsidering to move back into the brothel.
- 26:54Speaker 5: But if he moved back into the brothel, they don't
- 26:56Speaker 5: just be brothel duties being performed. You're talking in worrying
- 27:00Speaker 5: him about other stuff. So, lady, and then you got
- 27:04Speaker 5: to remember why you all became divorced in exites in
- 27:07Speaker 5: the first place. And I'm pretty sure it would have
- 27:10Speaker 5: something to do with that other wife.
- 27:11Speaker 1: You got. How much is she charging him monthly? Don't?
- 27:16Speaker 1: What is this car? I don't know.

- 27:30Speaker 5: as two.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:33Speaker 5: Yeah, he want a salary to employ you. They don't
- 27:36Speaker 5: do that at the brothels. They don't have packages at
- 27:38Speaker 5: the brothel. I don't think. I'm pretty sure I'll pay
- 27:41Speaker 5: you as.

- 27:58Speaker 14: I've been messing around on him, and I think it's
- 28:00Speaker 14: time for us to break up because he never talks
- 28:02Speaker 14: about us having a future together. When I try to
- 28:06Speaker 14: leave him, he cries and has an attitude for days.

- 56:38Speaker 8: It is.
- 56:40Speaker 14: Subject My Holy Lover's Daily Life, A double life, My
- 56:44Speaker 14: Holy Lover's Double Life. Stephen Shirley, I'm in the three
- 56:48Speaker 14: way love affair with a man that is my pastor
- 56:51Speaker 14: and my marriage counselor. I went to my pastor a
- 56:54Speaker 14: year ago to get spiritual guidance so I could stay
- 56:58Speaker 14: on the street narrow in my marriage. I was thinking
- 57:01Speaker 14: about cheating and had one foot out the door. My
- 57:04Speaker 14: pastor is married, so I meet with his wife on
- 57:07Speaker 14: Wednesdays for spiritual guidance, and I meet with them both
- 57:11Speaker 14: once a week to overcome the boredom in my marriage.
- 57:15Speaker 14: Over the course of a few weeks, my pastor found
- 57:18Speaker 14: out about my past life as a.
- 57:20Speaker 1: Dancer, and he used it to his advantage.
- 57:23Speaker 14: He told me that if I can make amends with
- 57:27Speaker 14: my past and put it behind me, I would be
- 57:29Speaker 14: able to be a happy housewife. He told his wife
- 57:33Speaker 14: that it's best for its best that he and I
- 57:35Speaker 14: do one on one sessions, so I started seeing him alone.
- 57:40Speaker 14: He had me do an interpretive dance for him, which
- 57:43Speaker 14: is basically a strip tease. Without taking my pants off.
- 57:48Speaker 14: I could tell he was aroused, so I lost my
- 57:51Speaker 14: mind temporarily and went over to give him a lap dance.
- 57:54Speaker 14: From there, we went back into the closet of his
- 57:57Speaker 14: office and I closed the deal with him. He's been
- 58:00Speaker 14: paying me for dances for the last three weeks, and
- 58:04Speaker 14: not only did it fire up something in me, I
- 58:06Speaker 14: realized I am sitting on my real moneymaker. Although I'm
- 58:10Speaker 14: thirty six years old, I'm still in great shape and
- 58:13Speaker 14: I have all I need to get the bills paid.
- 58:16Speaker 14: Pastor is a lot happier too, and he has told
- 58:19Speaker 14: me that my marriage will never work because my husband
- 58:22Speaker 14: lacks self esteem and can't deal with a sexy woman
- 58:25Speaker 14: like me. I love my husband and the stability that
- 58:29Speaker 14: he provides, but the pastor is well and doubt and
- 58:32Speaker 14: makes me feel like myself again, My holy lover has
- 58:35Speaker 14: a double life, and I'm so confused about what I
- 58:38Speaker 14: should do. Should I end my affair with my pastor?
- 58:42Speaker 7: Hmm?
- 58:44Speaker 14: Should you end your affair with the pastor? You ask, well,
- 58:48Speaker 14: you know what they say if you got to ask,
- 58:51Speaker 14: and I'll answer you this way. Do you want to
- 58:55Speaker 14: go straight to hell?
- 58:56Speaker 1: Is that what you're aiming for here? Straight?
- 58:58Speaker 18: There?
- 58:59Speaker 1: Is that what you're trying to do because you're stripping
- 59:03Speaker 1: for your pastor?
- 59:04Speaker 14: Okay, I don't know if you've completely wrapped your mind
- 59:07Speaker 14: around that. Of course, he of all people should know better.
- 59:12Speaker 14: I mean not only that instead of leading you to Christ,
- 59:15Speaker 14: he's corrupting you in the worst way. I mean, nothing
- 59:18Speaker 14: about this is right. You know this, Nothing about this
- 59:21Speaker 14: is godly, Nothing about this is Christian. Nothing about this
- 59:25Speaker 14: is helping you in your marriage. Nothing. It's just wrong
- 59:29Speaker 14: on every level. I mean, there's some things in life
- 59:32Speaker 14: that you should know that you should not do, and
- 59:34Speaker 14: this is one of them. There's nothing redeeming in this letter,
- 59:39Speaker 14: and I just got to say it again. You're stripping
- 59:41Speaker 14: for your pastor, your lap dancing for your pastor, your
- 59:46Speaker 14: married pastor, the same pastor who talked badly about your
- 59:49Speaker 14: man said he had low self esteem, can't deal with
- 59:52Speaker 14: a sexy woman like you? Or excuse me, I'm sorry.
- 59:55Speaker 14: Was that supposed to be counseling that he gave you
- 59:57Speaker 14: when he talked about that?
- 59:58Speaker 1: I don't know. This is terrible. He's in no position,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: this pastor, to give you any advice.
- 1:00:05Speaker 14: And I don't want you to be confused any longer
- 1:00:07Speaker 14: because you say you're so confused about what you should do.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: You gotta stop this. Okay, pull yourself together, girl, think
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: about what you're doing. You gotta break up with this pastor.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: This is foolishness.
- 1:00:17Speaker 14: Have you even considered that his wife may come in
- 1:00:21Speaker 14: his office at some point or your husband may find out?
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: How are you gonna live that down? I just don't
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: understand what you're doing.
- 1:00:28Speaker 14: This is craziness. You gotta You've gotta let this go.
- 1:00:32Speaker 14: And the pastor does not need to be a pastor.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Steve my holy lover's double life.
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: To me, this letter is a lot about the pastor
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: that's got a lot to do with her, but it's
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: a lot about what It's a lot about both of them. Oh,
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: just Stephen, Shirley, I'm in a three way love affair
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: with a man that is my pastor and marriage counselor.
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: He's your pastor and your marriage counselor.
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: You're in a three way love affair with your pastor,
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: massag So he done counseled you.
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: He done counseled you right into his arms. That's the
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: counseling he did.
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: I went to my past a year ago to get
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: spiritual guidance so I could stay on the straight and
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: narrow in my marriage. Now listen to this. I was
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: thinking about cheating and had one foot out the door.
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: You told him the snake the serpent that you was
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: thinking about cheat.
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: You know what he heard, Oh she want to step out.
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: Oh I'm counseling this hill.
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: So then you said you had a foot out your door.
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: Your pass is marriage. So you meet his wife on
- 1:01:58Speaker 5: Wednesdays for spiritual Now this this is wild Wednesday's right here,
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: because you go down there on wild Widnesday to meet
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: with his wife for some guidance. Indeed, ain't no nobody
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: giving you information that you need once a week to
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: overcome the boredom in my marriage?
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: Wait what, I'm confused?
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: You go talk to another marriage couple to overcome the
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: boredom in your marriage, but you leave your husband at home, right.
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: I don't understand how you accomplish getting over boredom when
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: you got When you're taking up time to meet with
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: them both and just her on a Wednesdays, that's two
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: meetings a week where you could be at the house
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: being excited.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: All right, Hang on, Steve, Yeah, hang on.
- 1:02:56Speaker 16: Uh.
- 1:02:57Speaker 14: We'll have part two of your response coming up at
- 1:02:59Speaker 14: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letter subject
- 1:03:02Speaker 14: my holy Lover's double life. We'll get back into it
- 1:03:05Speaker 14: right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:03:42Speaker 14: Ai and Amazon. All right, come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:03:45Speaker 14: today's Strawberry letter. The subject my holy lover's double life, my.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Holy lover's double life, and YO double life too.
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: Hell, I'm at three way love affair with a man
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: that's my past and my marriage counselor.
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: He thene counseled you right into his arms.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: I went to my past a year ago to get
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: spiritual guidance so I can stay on the straight and
- 1:04:06Speaker 5: narrow in my marriage. I was thinking about cheating and
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: had one foot out the door. You told the snake
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: in the grass that you didn't know was the snake
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: in the grass yet that you was thinking about cheating.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Oh, duly noted.
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: Then your pastor is married too, so you meet with
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: his wife on Wednesday. We're gonna call you wild Wednesdays.
- 1:04:27Speaker 5: All wacky Wednesdays, we having the whacky meeting with the
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: pastor's wife, which obviously ain't nobody giving you no valuable
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: information in none of these meetings, because all your meeting
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: that led to is an affair with the pastor without
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: his wife, Because.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: Then you said.
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: You meet with them both once a week to overcome
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: the boredom in your marriage. Over the course of a
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: few weeks, your pastor found out about my past life
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: as a dancer.
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: You told him. You the gators due all he needed.
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: Let's think about this.
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: You told your husband you bored you, and told your
- 1:05:05Speaker 5: pastor you bored You, then told your pastor you was
- 1:05:09Speaker 5: thinking about cheating, and you then told your pastor you
- 1:05:12Speaker 5: was a dancer. Big mean, that's the trifecta. He got
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: it all, lot of rebels going off. I told him
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: my past life, I was a dancer, and he used
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: it to his advantage. You add that into the fact
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: that you want to cheat and you bored at the house,
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: and we got a problem. He told me that if
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: I could make amends with my past and put it
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: behind me, I would be able to be a happy housewife.
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: I don't understand that counselor at all, but okay, he
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: told his wife that it's best that he and I
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: do one on one sessions and hunt.
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: Damn.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: I thought that was good. Okay, so I started seeing him.
- 1:05:57Speaker 5: Alone he had me do as soon as you got
- 1:06:01Speaker 5: to he had you do an interpretive dance for him,
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: which is basically a strip tease without taking my pants off.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: This is so you could come to terms with your
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: past and be a better housewife. When he asked you
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: to do the dance, I could tell he was a rouse. Well,
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: if you've given him a lap dance, you're gonna be tell.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: You're gonna be able to tell.
- 1:06:29Speaker 6: Yeah, you're gonna tell like you know, like it ain't
- 1:06:32Speaker 6: like you psychic.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: I can tell you that right now. It's stupid. The
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: lap dance.
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: I could tell he was a rived like you like
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: like like you like you a psychic or something. I
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: can tell you right there. Anybody would have been in there,
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: would he knew that? Tell a dude to sitting next
- 1:06:50Speaker 5: to him at the strip club.
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: Know that man. Anyway, I could tell he was a rise.
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: So I lost my mind temporarily and I went over
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: to give him a lap dance. And then from there
- 1:07:04Speaker 5: we went back into the closet of his office and
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: I closed to.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Deal with him.
- 1:07:10Speaker 5: Now this old food been paying you for dances for
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: the last three weeks, and not only did it fire
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: up something in me, here we go, I realized I'm
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: sitting on my real money maker. He that asked you
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: to come to terms with your past, and obviously the
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: thing you came to terms with was he thatne brought
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: it back to current. So now what you used to do,
- 1:07:37Speaker 5: he got you now doing for him, because guess what,
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: Although she say I'm thirty five years old, he been
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: paying you for dancers for the last three weeks and
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: I'm thirty six. I'm still in great shape and I
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: have all I need to get the bills paid. I
- 1:07:53Speaker 5: thought you was in there for Madge counselor. You ain't
- 1:07:56Speaker 5: said nothing about you was broke. You did not mention
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: you is broke. So now somewhere in the counselor is
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: section session you told him you was born.
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: You told him he was thinking about cheatney. You told
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: him he used to be a dancer.
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: And somewhere in there you to mention you ain't got
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: no money. And he done told you you need to
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: resolve your past. So now he got you bringing your
- 1:08:18Speaker 5: past to the present. Now you think you're finna be
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: a full time stripple. Pastor is a lot happier too,
- 1:08:26Speaker 5: and he has told me that this pastor dog, your
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: marriage would hit. My marriage would never work because my
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: husband lacks self esteem. Kate deal with a sexy woman
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: like me.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: But he can't.
- 1:08:37Speaker 5: Of course he paying. I love my husband and the
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: stability that he provides.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I thought you was broke. What is you dancing to
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: pay the bills for him.
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: You love your husband and the stability he provides.
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: What kind of letter is this?
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: It don't make no sense, but the pastor is well
- 1:08:59Speaker 5: and it makes me feel like myself again. My holy
- 1:09:03Speaker 5: lover has a double life, and I'm so confused. You
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: got one too about what I should do. Now, here's
- 1:09:11Speaker 5: the golden line in this whole thing. Should I end
- 1:09:15Speaker 5: my affair with my pastor?
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Lady?
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: How does sound to you?
- 1:09:21Speaker 7: Right?
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: Shirley said, do you want to go straight to hell?
- 1:09:29Speaker 5: I would like to add to that statement and say,
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: do you want to go to hell with your pastor?
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: Because I thank y'all going on a buddy past That's
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: what I think.
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Good one, All right, thank you.

- 1:11:21Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 1:11:21Speaker 12: Because you know y'all, you know I ain't never here,
- 1:11:25Speaker 12: been around too rich people the whole time, like y'all
- 1:11:27Speaker 12: be rich, y'all really rich. So the title of the
- 1:11:30Speaker 12: poem today is this for the holidays. It's called help
- 1:11:34Speaker 12: me out, all right, help me out?
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 1:11:39Speaker 12: Christmas time is here without a doubt, So I'm asking
- 1:11:42Speaker 12: Uncle Stephen Tommy to help me out. Let's talk about
- 1:11:46Speaker 12: the obvious, because it don't make no sense how y'all climb.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Here every day because I ain't got a fence. So
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: guess what. That's what I want Santa to bring me.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: And when I say son, when I say Santa, I
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: mean Uncle Stephen.
- 1:11:59Speaker 7: Time.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: I got some estimates. I can get them to you
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: and call it. You be laughing sometimes so you can
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: chip in too. I'm not gonna hold y'all. That's basically
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: what I want to say. Y'all. Gotta good week to have.
- 1:12:12Speaker 12: My fence up by Christmas day and the woods gonna
- 1:12:15Speaker 12: be treated the end, not the wood.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Snap your fingers, y'all. It's all I want for Christmas.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: It's a fence. You didn't let us down.
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: What do you think.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: That little rabbit?
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: Por I told you wasn't gonna be nothing for it,
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: said minute Unco.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: You can't bless me with the fence. You and Tommy,
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: both of y'all bless you. I got the estimates. I'm
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: gonna send them to you today. Estimate. You have to yeah, estimates, estimates, Yeah,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: the costs.
- 1:12:50Speaker 12: You want to just say costs, Okay, the costs then, yeah,
- 1:12:53Speaker 12: I think the cost I got the costs.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Here's my point. Oh, tell me to be more supportive.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: I don't know why you.
- 1:13:03Speaker 5: Even wrote this poem, but as you got started, I
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: saw I wasn't gonna be able to keep up with
- 1:13:09Speaker 5: where it was going. Now, you had a lot of
- 1:13:11Speaker 5: time to spend money on yourself, but you've done it
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: for everybody else. And now you're sitting up in here
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: wanting to burn a Christmas law when you have spent
- 1:13:23Speaker 5: all your money on that dog. And now you're sitting
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: up here and you to wrote a poem like this,
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: and you think me and Tommy gonna buy your fish.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: You got another thing coming.
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: If you think that's true, because you ain't nothing but
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: a grad big old food. I thank you for the
- 1:13:40Speaker 5: poem in the time you spent, but you ain't gonna
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: get a.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: And that was off the cup. Baby.
- 1:13:57Speaker 14: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right?
- 1:14:04Speaker 14: So this is from Facebook from Dre. Dre writes, I
- 1:14:08Speaker 14: have a family friend who'd hit hard times. However, this
- 1:14:12Speaker 14: family friend also has a reputation for lying and not
- 1:14:16Speaker 14: paying people back. Now he's trying to guilt me and
- 1:14:19Speaker 14: my entire family, talking about I'm turning my back on him. Well,
- 1:14:24Speaker 14: that's where I am right now, and I'm in the
- 1:14:26Speaker 14: position to help. But I know darn well I will
- 1:14:30Speaker 14: never see the money back since no one else can
- 1:14:33Speaker 14: really help or is willing to. I'm like Tupac, all
- 1:14:36Speaker 14: eyes on me, man, I'm not going to change my mind.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: So am I wrong?
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: No?
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: No to see me.
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: See, you can't create a track record and then try
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: to get off the track in front of somebody you'd ran.
- 1:14:54Speaker 6: Around on all this time. It's just not how it works.
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: Yes, heay man, When you create a reputation, then you're
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: gonna have to You're gonna have to lay You make
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: a bed, you gotta lay in it. Dog, I'm sorry
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: you don't pay people back. Now you're backing me talking
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: about y'all turning your back. Yeah, okay, cool, But here's
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: the deal with me. If you did not have my number,
- 1:15:16Speaker 5: what would you do?
- 1:15:18Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:15:19Speaker 5: See, naw, gonna get to doing that because you already
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: know I got it, So you don't save all that
- 1:15:26Speaker 5: with me. I tell people all the time. First of all,
- 1:15:29Speaker 5: hey man, let me holler at you now. Okay, I'm
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: gonna wait seventy two hours.
- 1:15:32Speaker 6: Wore I return that from him?
- 1:15:34Speaker 5: Don't text me or nothing. Hey man, Hey man, when
- 1:15:36Speaker 5: you get a free moment, call me. Okay, I'm not
- 1:15:39Speaker 5: free for seventy two hours. I'm busying. Hey man, I
- 1:15:43Speaker 5: got an emergency.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: This is what I got.
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: I got a text from a dude. I have any emergency?
- 1:15:47Speaker 5: He texted me, I have an emergency. Who the hell
- 1:15:51Speaker 5: got an emergency in textis.
- 1:15:56Speaker 17: Boy?
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Stop? So I waited myself.
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: Seventy two hours and called him back because all emergencies
- 1:16:04Speaker 5: passed in seventy two hours.
- 1:16:06Speaker 6: Trust me when I.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: Tell you that. Okay, he said, you're into crisis management anyway?
- 1:16:11Speaker 12: You know that it's just Dane Jarvis.
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: No, no, you know why you asked?
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: Why you asked?
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: Junior?
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: Sound like somebody I might know everybody? No, No, it's
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: not Alvin.
- 1:16:26Speaker 10: No, No, I was gonna ask you. But he feels guilty,
- 1:16:30Speaker 10: So how does he deal with that guilt? Feeling guilt is.
- 1:16:33Speaker 6: The most useless emotion that we have as human beings.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Yeah, he serves no purpose. What's the purpose of guilt.
- 1:16:42Speaker 6: No, stop, Why why you got to feel guilt that
- 1:16:45Speaker 6: he's not your child?
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Yeah, he's your friend, a family friend.
- 1:16:50Speaker 6: He's not your child, y'all ain't took no vows.
- 1:16:53Speaker 5: He's not your wife. No, he a family friend that
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: ain't been much of a friend, right, all right, you
- 1:17:00Speaker 5: all have a one sided friendship. Now I'm gonna let
- 1:17:03Speaker 5: you go over there and stay on your side for
- 1:17:05Speaker 5: a while.
- 1:17:09Speaker 14: All right, Let's see if we have time for another one.
- 1:17:12Speaker 14: This one's from Nicole on Steve HARVFM. She says, my
- 1:17:16Speaker 14: husband and I went out of town to have Thanksgiving
- 1:17:18Speaker 14: with his family. He started drinking with his brother at noon,
- 1:17:22Speaker 14: and by the time dinner was served, they were both
- 1:17:25Speaker 14: drunk as heck. He embarrassed himself in front of his
- 1:17:28Speaker 14: whole family, and I was left to take care of
- 1:17:31Speaker 14: him and then drive us home afterwards. We're supposed to
- 1:17:34Speaker 14: go again at Christmas, and I told him I'm not
- 1:17:36Speaker 14: going now. He thinks I'm being unreasonable and is mad
- 1:17:40Speaker 14: at me. I haven't done anything wrong and I shouldn't
- 1:17:43Speaker 14: be made to feel bad after what he put me through.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: Steve backed me up. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?
- 1:17:50Speaker 5: Best office is a good excuse me. The best defense
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: is a good offense. So now he defensive about what
- 1:17:59Speaker 5: he did. And so now he done took the offense us.
- 1:18:03Speaker 5: Now he mad at you for his getting drunk, and
- 1:18:08Speaker 5: you not understand.
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:18:10Speaker 5: Please bye, ladies, stop letting these men out mad you.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Yeah, that's you what you do. Do your job?
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: Yeah, man, we didnt out mad Marjorie. I don't give
- 1:18:28Speaker 5: a how I tried, baby, Baby, how you gonna do that?
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: When misteve? All right, we gotta run.
- 1:18:39Speaker 14: Steve coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll
- 1:18:42Speaker 14: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:18:52Speaker 10: Imagine you gave your wife a gift that you thought
- 1:18:55Speaker 10: was perfect for her, and months later you see her
- 1:18:58Speaker 10: sister wearing it.
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: This happened to a man in Iowa, Yep.
- 1:19:02Speaker 10: Tommy. His wife admitted that she gave the gift to
- 1:19:04Speaker 10: her sister as a last minute birthday gift. He was
- 1:19:08Speaker 10: not happy. So how do you feel about regifting? Was
- 1:19:12Speaker 10: the wife entitled to do whatever she wanted to do
- 1:19:14Speaker 10: with her gift?
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Not not with something I didn't bought? Yeah, I don't
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: tell you that right now.
- 1:19:20Speaker 13: Jackie's sister Natalie cannot be walking around with what I
- 1:19:23Speaker 13: bought Jackie at all.
- 1:19:26Speaker 10: Okay, so no to the regifting because you gave it
- 1:19:30Speaker 10: to your wife and that's not it. It's not in
- 1:19:33Speaker 10: a good look.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: That ain't cool at all.
- 1:19:35Speaker 5: No, no, no, that's that's not I don't care if
- 1:19:39Speaker 5: you don't like it, which I obviously she didn't know
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: she did.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: No, don't, I don't. I don't know. You can't do that.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: That's rude.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: Yeah it is.
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: I buy a gift, man, put all my thought into
- 1:19:50Speaker 6: this and then you give it to somebody.
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what is this gift?
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: Though?
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: What did he buy that his wife didn't want?
- 1:19:58Speaker 7: What is that?
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: I don't know. It was the last minute.
- 1:20:01Speaker 10: She decided at the last minute to give it to
- 1:20:04Speaker 10: her sister, last minute birthday gift.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: So, like Steve said, whatever.

- 1:25:11Speaker 6: All right, close remarks.
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: Yeah, you know what, Let me encourage people today because
- 1:25:16Speaker 5: I want to. I want to empower everybody that's listening today.
- 1:25:20Speaker 5: Here's some an interesting piece of information that you have
- 1:25:24Speaker 5: to embed in your thinking. Because you have the power
- 1:25:28Speaker 5: of choice, you can actually decide, you can actually decide
- 1:25:37Speaker 5: how you choose to live your life, and you can
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: have a direct say so in the outcome of your life.
- 1:25:45Speaker 5: Life is not just you waking up and you playing
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: the cards you dealt. Now, life has some of those.
- 1:25:51Speaker 5: You're gonna be dealt a blow sometimes you're gonna dealt
- 1:25:54Speaker 5: a disappointment you're gonna have to You're gonna be dealt
- 1:25:56Speaker 5: some grief. You're gonna be dealt, some setbacks. Those are
- 1:26:00Speaker 5: the cards of life. But life is ten percent what
- 1:26:05Speaker 5: happens to you. It's ninety percent what you do about it.
- 1:26:09Speaker 5: Everybody gets dealt these cards at one time or another,
- 1:26:14Speaker 5: but everybody handles it differently. And the difference between successful
- 1:26:19Speaker 5: people and non successful people are the way you handle
- 1:26:22Speaker 5: the cards.
- 1:26:23Speaker 6: You are dealt, and you have the power to decide
- 1:26:27Speaker 6: how you do that.
- 1:26:29Speaker 5: The best way to handle it is to have a
- 1:26:31Speaker 5: positive outlook towards everything. And I know that sounds difficult,
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: and it's virtually impossible to maintain all the time, even
- 1:26:41Speaker 5: for me. But for the most part, I maintain a
- 1:26:45Speaker 5: positive outlook, a positive a positive attitude. I say it
- 1:26:51Speaker 5: on the radio sometime, and you begin it. If you
- 1:26:54Speaker 5: start with gratitude gratitude affects your attitude, your attitud to
- 1:27:00Speaker 5: determine your altitude. I call it the three tudes, gratitude, attitude, altitude,
- 1:27:09Speaker 5: And that's the part that a lot of people miss.
- 1:27:11Speaker 5: You think that you have to buy into a bad day,
- 1:27:15Speaker 5: You really don't. And you can start with the way
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: you think. First of all, here's a definite daykiller if
- 1:27:25Speaker 5: you make the announcement, if you lay claim, I'm not
- 1:27:30Speaker 5: a morning person. Do you even understand what you've done?
- 1:27:38Speaker 5: Can you understand the magnitude of that statement alone, I'm
- 1:27:42Speaker 5: not a morning person. Well, that's kind of crazy to me,
- 1:27:48Speaker 5: because seeing as how the goal is to wake up
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: every morning, why would you not be a morning person?
- 1:27:56Speaker 5: But you know how many people you've heard lay claim
- 1:27:58Speaker 5: to that, And look at everybody you know that says
- 1:28:02Speaker 5: I'm not a morning person. It explains a lot about
- 1:28:05Speaker 5: where you are. Listen to me. I love mornings. I
- 1:28:11Speaker 5: love waking up. I really like being up before the
- 1:28:15Speaker 5: suns come up. I like to wake up and hear
- 1:28:18Speaker 5: the birds praising God any morning. Do you know that
- 1:28:20Speaker 5: the birds have enough sing enough sense that when the
- 1:28:25Speaker 5: sun is cracking the sky, they start chirping.
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: They praising. They're announcing a new.
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: Day, rooster's crow, birds chirping, sing because it's a new day.
- 1:28:37Speaker 5: They're all grateful for it. Why would you not be.
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: Stop saying negative things to start your day wrong. I
- 1:28:44Speaker 5: got up on the wrong side of the bed. Okay,
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: get back in it and put your feet on the
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: other side.
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: You get to.
- 1:28:52Speaker 5: Determine that, man, you really really do. Stop buying into something.
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: Somebody talking about you they don't know you. Somebody posting
- 1:29:01Speaker 5: something about you online that's not true. What does it
- 1:29:05Speaker 5: really change unless you buy into it. I get stuff
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: posted about me online all the time that's so far
- 1:29:11Speaker 5: from truth.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: But guess what.
- 1:29:13Speaker 5: I quit reading that stuff, man, I quit letting people
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: call me with it. Man, you all right what you mean?
- 1:29:19Speaker 13: Tom?
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: Are you see what they said?
- 1:29:21Speaker 7: No?
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: I didn't see what they said. Who is they? The internet?
- 1:29:24Speaker 8: Boy?
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: Are you for real?
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: You're calling me to tell me what the internet said
- 1:29:29Speaker 5: when the Internet don't know me? Bruh, Listen to me.
- 1:29:34Speaker 5: You know what helps me a lot. Martin Luther King
- 1:29:37Speaker 5: had a saying. Martin Luther King said, a man can't
- 1:29:40Speaker 5: ride your back unless you bend over. I don't bend over.
- 1:29:44Speaker 5: You're not riding my back. I give nobody the power
- 1:29:49Speaker 5: of my life except God Almighty. Here's the author and
- 1:29:53Speaker 5: the architect of my being and my future. And I
- 1:29:58Speaker 5: don't care what you say say on the internet.
- 1:30:01Speaker 15: Or the podcast. You are not the architect and author
- 1:30:06Speaker 15: of my being or my future. You can't destroy me
- 1:30:11Speaker 15: because you didn't make me.
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: And I got news for you.
- 1:30:14Speaker 5: You can't stop nothing God got for me. Do you
- 1:30:18Speaker 5: know something, y'all? If God gives you something, there is
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: nothing no man can do about it. And they better
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: be careful. They need to be careful because if God
- 1:30:28Speaker 5: has blessed you, if God meant for you to have it,
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: and then you see you see a person coming along
- 1:30:33Speaker 5: trying to take it from you, or or oh careful,
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: be very very careful. You people are not by themselves.
- 1:30:44Speaker 5: People who love the Lord are not by themselves.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: They got a friend, they got they got they got
- 1:30:52Speaker 5: a power greater than you are me. So be very
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: careful when you start touching God's people. People that love God,
- 1:30:59Speaker 5: people pray people, people that's annoying it. People that God
- 1:31:02Speaker 5: got on assignment, people that God got a plan for
- 1:31:05Speaker 5: I'm on assignment.
- 1:31:07Speaker 6: I have an assignment.
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: I'm on.
- 1:31:09Speaker 7: Now.
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: You can knock me if you want to, but be
- 1:31:11Speaker 5: very careful. Now, I'm not supposed to say anything to you.
- 1:31:16Speaker 5: Every now and then I get human, though. Every now
- 1:31:19Speaker 5: and then I just I'm just human. I ran up
- 1:31:23Speaker 5: into somebody that said something real negative about me something
- 1:31:26Speaker 5: one time. I just, you know, I should have ignored
- 1:31:29Speaker 5: it and played it off, because God don't need my help.
- 1:31:31Speaker 5: Vengeance is mind, said the Lord. But when I saw him,
- 1:31:35Speaker 5: I didn't see the Lord at that time. So let
- 1:31:40Speaker 5: God have stay on the wall.
- 1:31:42Speaker 9: Y'all.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Remember, you have a decision for choice. Is your those
