- 2:50Speaker 2: Let me help you with this right here.
- 2:52Speaker 3: If you are steady complaining about the reason you are,
- 2:56Speaker 3: you know, if I hadn't met this man, if I
- 2:58Speaker 3: hadn't been involved with this, if I hadn't have had
- 3:01Speaker 3: this baby. If I had never went down there, if
- 3:04Speaker 3: I hadn't have got arrested, if I hadn't it this,
- 3:06Speaker 3: if I hadn't it at, if I had a just
- 3:08Speaker 3: finished school, if I had to Hey, hey, hey, hey,
- 3:12Speaker 3: stop stop all that stuff that you're complaining about, everything
- 3:18Speaker 3: that you keep allowing to resonate with you as a
- 3:21Speaker 3: reason to justify and explain you not being successful. Can
- 3:26Speaker 3: I share something with you about all of that? Guess
- 3:29Speaker 3: what it is? You done, got past all of it.
- 3:33Speaker 3: You didn't have the baby, you got arrested, they didn't
- 3:36Speaker 3: kill you, you didn't finish school, but you're still standing.
- 3:40Speaker 3: You met that man, he gone, He involved with two
- 3:43Speaker 3: other women. Right now, I got three other kids.
- 3:45Speaker 9: Guess what?
- 3:46Speaker 2: You still here and the babies here.
- 3:48Speaker 3: You got over all the injustices that were done to you,
- 3:52Speaker 3: You got something happened to you when you was a kid.
- 3:55Speaker 2: You're an adult now. Somebody did something to you when
- 3:57Speaker 2: you was a little boy.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Guess what, man, Now, some things happen to you that
- 4:04Speaker 3: you haven't found closure on. The person that you're looking
- 4:07Speaker 3: for closure from has moved on. Can I tell you
- 4:11Speaker 3: that everything that has happened to you, do you know
- 4:14Speaker 3: you've gotten pasted it, So why are you steady complaining
- 4:19Speaker 3: about what has happened to you that has caused you
- 4:22Speaker 3: to be in this position? But do you understand that
- 4:25Speaker 3: it's prohibiting you from moving forward? Stop complaining today, catch fire,
- 4:29Speaker 3: Let your pass be your past. I've told this to
- 4:32Speaker 3: you one hundred times on this radio, but I'm gonna
- 4:34Speaker 3: say it again. Bishop Jakes told me something man that
- 4:38Speaker 3: helped me so greatly. You can't drive your car if
- 4:43Speaker 3: you gonna keep looking in the rear view mirror. That's
- 4:46Speaker 3: why the windshield is huge. The windshield is huge. The
- 4:52Speaker 3: rear view mirror is this tiny thing that sits up there. Now,
- 4:55Speaker 3: all is far's so you can see stuff that's coming
- 4:59Speaker 3: up on you.
- 5:00Speaker 9: All the rearview mirror for is so you can assure yourself, Oh,
- 5:05Speaker 9: listen to this.
- 5:06Speaker 3: The realview mirror is imp there to assure you that
- 5:10Speaker 3: you've cleared something.
- 5:12Speaker 9: See.
- 5:12Speaker 3: That's what the rearview mirrors for. So when you pass
- 5:15Speaker 3: the can you want to switch lanes, you can glance
- 5:17Speaker 3: up there and it says, okay, you're clear.
- 5:20Speaker 9: Now you passed it.
- 5:21Speaker 2: You can switch lanes. That's all the rearview mirrors for.
- 5:24Speaker 9: It ain't for you to stare at and dictate your
- 5:27Speaker 9: life with what you're tripping for.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Man, catch fire today today, Man, quit complaining about everything
- 5:34Speaker 3: that did happened to you. Life is ten percent. What
- 5:37Speaker 3: happens to you is ninety percent. What you do about
- 5:40Speaker 3: what happens to you? What are you going to do
- 5:42Speaker 3: about it? So what I got all this? Look, man,
- 5:47Speaker 3: your story ain't no deeper than nobody else's. I can
- 5:50Speaker 3: tell you I was homeless for three years. It's people
- 5:52Speaker 3: been homeless for thirty years. How long I'm gonna ride
- 5:57Speaker 3: that out?
- 5:58Speaker 7: Man?
- 5:59Speaker 2: You know I can't get do nothing right now. I
- 6:01Speaker 2: fell on hard times and I lost my place to stay.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Where are you staying now?
- 6:08Speaker 9: See? The majority of people are staying somewhere right now.
- 6:11Speaker 9: I was out there.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I didn't have nowhere to go. I'm in a shelter.
- 6:14Speaker 9: Now.
- 6:15Speaker 3: You was under the bridge a week ago. You into shelter.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Now why you can still crying about the bridge? You
- 6:22Speaker 3: in a shelter now?
- 6:25Speaker 9: Man?
- 6:26Speaker 3: You know how you find your purpose? You get in
- 6:29Speaker 3: touch with who created you. Because when God made you,
- 6:35Speaker 3: he had a purpose in mind. Now we've ignored it
- 6:39Speaker 3: and we haven't tapped into it, but we all had
- 6:41Speaker 3: a purpose. You don't, and it's sometimes it take people
- 6:44Speaker 3: longing to discover the purpose. Colonel Sanders was frying chicken
- 6:49Speaker 3: with a recipe that he was telling people was the
- 6:52Speaker 3: best chicken in the world. Ain't nobody believe him till
- 6:55Speaker 3: he turned seventy? Why you think the dude that only
- 7:00Speaker 3: Kentucky fried chicken signs is old. That dude ain't twenty
- 7:05Speaker 3: up there he oh he oh, But you know what,
- 7:09Speaker 3: he had been frying that chicken for forty some years.
- 7:15Speaker 3: They just found out about it when he was seventy.
- 7:19Speaker 3: But he didn't give up his purpose in life. This
- 7:22Speaker 3: dude was just frying chicken. See, people keep looking for
- 7:25Speaker 3: their gifts in all kinds of places when it's right
- 7:28Speaker 3: there in you. You ain't got to go to school
- 7:30Speaker 3: to find your gift. You're born with the gift that
- 7:33Speaker 3: God got for you. You'll go to school to tack
- 7:36Speaker 3: it on to something else, But your gift was already
- 7:39Speaker 3: given to you.
- 7:40Speaker 9: You were born with that.
- 7:41Speaker 2: You don't have to go to college to know your gift.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Your college allows you to enhance.
- 7:45Speaker 3: It and to find something to attach it to, and
- 7:48Speaker 3: hopefully you get a degree that attaches your gift to
- 7:51Speaker 3: a vehicle where it can work. The problem with college
- 7:55Speaker 3: is we go to college and we attach it to
- 7:57Speaker 3: what we like or what we might be passionate about.
- 8:00Speaker 9: We ignore the gift we have.
- 8:01Speaker 3: You know how many people and graduated from college ain't
- 8:03Speaker 3: doing nothing they went to college for. Come on, man,
- 8:06Speaker 3: you know why, because you discover in life your gift.
- 8:09Speaker 3: You discover what you was born to do. I wasn't bought.
- 8:12Speaker 7: You know what I mean.
- 8:13Speaker 3: You know what my major was in college? It was advertising.
- 8:17Speaker 3: I can't be at no death, drawing, no picture for nobody.
- 8:20Speaker 3: But now guess what I can wake up every day
- 8:22Speaker 3: and guess what I can tell you?
- 8:24Speaker 2: I advertise. I've been advertising my career.
- 8:26Speaker 9: Come see me live.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Come see me live at Madison Square, guard Come see
- 8:31Speaker 3: me live at Phillips a Wena. Come see me live
- 8:33Speaker 3: at Jokers Comedy Club. Come see me live at Percy's.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Come see me live at Elisis Tavin. Come see me live.
- 8:41Speaker 3: I've been advertising the whole time, but I had a
- 8:44Speaker 3: different purpose in mind because I went and I talked
- 8:47Speaker 3: to God. And this is how you do it. You
- 8:49Speaker 3: go talk to God and say, hey God, look okay,
- 8:52Speaker 3: This is the deal. I've been struggling here. I'm over forty.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I still haven't found my purpose in life. Okay, but
- 9:00Speaker 3: so I can quit wasting any more time? Would you
- 9:03Speaker 3: help direct me and guide me to my purpose? I
- 9:06Speaker 3: know you created me to do something. I just haven't
- 9:09Speaker 3: found what it is. And the reason I haven't found
- 9:11Speaker 3: what it is because I've been doing things my way.
- 9:14Speaker 3: I ain't been checking with you, confirm with you on anything.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I ain't locked in or tried to settle it up
- 9:19Speaker 3: with you. I've been just doing my thing. Well, my
- 9:22Speaker 3: thing has gotten me as far as it can get me.
- 9:25Speaker 3: How about you take over and do your thing now?
- 9:28Speaker 3: Can you direct me in my path? I'm an open book.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Treat me like a piece of clay. I'm telling you, man,
- 9:35Speaker 3: if you go to God, he'll give it to you.
- 9:37Speaker 2: But see you have not because you ask not. How
- 9:41Speaker 2: many times have you asked God for it?
- 9:45Speaker 9: This ain't no.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Magic trick, y'all.
- 9:47Speaker 9: This is the deal.
- 9:49Speaker 3: You got to catch fire today. Catch fire today, I am.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I'm excited about today. I've got a lot to do.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 9: Ladies and gentlemen right now.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Today, currently, in the moment, at present, this is the
- 10:14Speaker 3: best thing that has happened because in however I have
- 10:20Speaker 3: just phrased it, you are involved directly in it. God
- 10:24Speaker 3: has blessed you to be here. You are in the moment,
- 10:27Speaker 3: you got the shot. Let's do something about it today.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Start with gratitude, everybody, because gratitude defects your altitude. No,
- 10:35Speaker 3: gratitude defects your attitude, which is in direct correlation to
- 10:39Speaker 3: your altitude. So get your mind right. God is good.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Know that Shirley Strawberry called for real Mississippi, Monica Junior
- 10:48Speaker 3: and the legend of Nephew Tommas Junior.
- 10:51Speaker 2: What is on your mind this O?
- 10:54Speaker 10: Can you talk this about the power of telling your story? No,
- 10:58Speaker 10: you tell your story about being homes about being from everything,
- 11:02Speaker 10: by how God brought you from the beginning to the end.
- 11:04Speaker 10: You make that your story. You tell everybody that story.
- 11:07Speaker 10: What's the power everybody telling the story?
- 11:09Speaker 9: We all got one.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Well, the power I think for me in telling my
- 11:16Speaker 2: story has been authenticity. It's just being truthful about what
- 11:20Speaker 2: it was. The problem we have right now is there
- 11:23Speaker 2: are too many successful people who won't tell their real story.
- 11:27Speaker 3: The sad part is we have too many people who
- 11:29Speaker 3: get where they want to be and then they forget
- 11:31Speaker 3: where they was, and they forget how they got there,
- 11:34Speaker 3: and they don't have a story for you. So now
- 11:37Speaker 3: your aid to other people is diminished because you won't
- 11:41Speaker 3: tell them. See look, man, look if you're gonna write
- 11:50Speaker 3: a book about your life, and if you're gonna write
- 11:53Speaker 3: a book called I'm Rich and Famous, but in that
- 11:58Speaker 3: book you don't tell nobody how to get rich or famous?
- 12:04Speaker 2: How many copies of that you think you could sell?
- 12:07Speaker 2: Nobody can about?
- 12:08Speaker 7: No?
- 12:10Speaker 2: Man, what about me? And that's why you have.
- 12:20Speaker 7: That.
- 12:20Speaker 9: That's why you have what do you call it test?
- 12:27Speaker 3: That's why you have tests in life, so you can
- 12:29Speaker 3: have a testimony. See, there is no testimony without the test.
- 12:34Speaker 3: And so that's the power in sharing your story is
- 12:38Speaker 3: telling them the test that you had to pass and
- 12:41Speaker 3: overcome to get to where you are, so it can
- 12:44Speaker 3: inspire other people. I mean, that's your job. God blesses
- 12:50Speaker 3: you become a blessing. Huh I said I didn't have
- 12:52Speaker 3: some tests? Yeah, man, So it ain't no problem with
- 12:56Speaker 3: sharing it. The problem I see a lot of people
- 12:58Speaker 3: who get there, they won't act like it never happened.
- 13:01Speaker 3: They don't want to mention that part. They keep bringing
- 13:03Speaker 3: up the sunny days. Well, you ain't gonna get there
- 13:07Speaker 3: with just sunny days. Man, It's fin the rain be cloudy,
- 13:13Speaker 3: it's fin the thunderstorm. You're finna have Category five hurricane.
- 13:17Speaker 3: You're finna have a couple of earthquakes.
- 13:19Speaker 7: On the way.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Man, you have a mud slide. You fit, But man,
- 13:23Speaker 3: you finna get flipped. You have tsunami gonna come through.
- 13:27Speaker 3: You got to tell people those parts. That's the importance
- 13:33Speaker 3: of telling your story.
- 13:34Speaker 1: All right, guys, thank you.

- 15:19Speaker 7: you're with I'm with HPP. We actually picked your husband
- 15:23Speaker 7: up from his job today. I wanted to give you

- 15:25Speaker 12: You picked him up for work?
- 15:27Speaker 7: Okay, you're you're his wife, Morgan? Right, okay? Uh, actually
- 15:31Speaker 7: just wanted to make sure that he's okay and we're
- 15:33Speaker 7: worried about his work.
- 15:34Speaker 12: Hey, what happened?
- 15:35Speaker 7: Well, nothing's happening as of right now. We've had a
- 15:38Speaker 7: conversation with him and we've checked him out. He's definitely okay.
- 15:41Speaker 12: But why why are you picking him up though, I don't.
- 15:43Speaker 12: I don't understand what.
- 15:44Speaker 7: All right, let's just just calm down, hang on a second.
- 15:47Speaker 7: I got a couple questions for you. Your husband, he
- 15:49Speaker 7: is about what five nine? Correct? Right? And you would
- 15:52Speaker 7: agree that Sean weighs about one hundred and seventy five pounds?
- 15:56Speaker 7: Does that sound about right?
- 15:57Speaker 12: But he weighs yeah?
- 15:59Speaker 7: Okay, here's my another question. No exactly, Morgan? How tall
- 16:02Speaker 7: are you?
- 16:03Speaker 12: I'm five nine as well?
- 16:04Speaker 7: Okay? And if you don't mind, I know it's a
- 16:07Speaker 7: little different type of question, but if you don't mind,
- 16:10Speaker 7: how much do you weigh?
- 16:11Speaker 12: I'm like two hundred? Wait a minute, what is it?
- 16:13Speaker 7: What is it?
- 16:13Speaker 12: What is how much I have to do with it?
- 16:16Speaker 12: I don't What is wrong with him? And where is why?
- 16:18Speaker 12: Where is he right now?
- 16:20Speaker 7: We actually have him, We have him in our custody.
- 16:22Speaker 7: We want him where We have him in our custody
- 16:24Speaker 7: right now here at our headquarters at HPP.
- 16:27Speaker 9: So what heck?
- 16:28Speaker 12: What is what is the HPP?
- 16:30Speaker 7: Ma'am? HPP is Husband Protection Program?
- 16:36Speaker 12: Husband Protection I've never I've never heard of such a thing.
- 16:38Speaker 12: Why why is he here here?
- 16:40Speaker 7: Well? The problem we have and we've been getting some
- 16:42Speaker 7: actual complaints or whatnot, and not necessarily from him, but
- 16:46Speaker 7: that you've been bullying your husband.
- 16:48Speaker 12: Okay, you know what. I'm at my job and I'm
- 16:50Speaker 12: gonna get your hold on one second so I can
- 16:53Speaker 12: go in here.
- 16:58Speaker 7: What what?
- 16:59Speaker 9: What did you say?
- 17:00Speaker 7: Have you and uh Sean had any arguments at all lately?
- 17:04Speaker 6: How we are?
- 17:04Speaker 12: We're married? How we had arguments? Of course he had arguments.
- 17:07Speaker 12: What does guy have to do with anything?
- 17:09Speaker 7: Have you guys had any altercations?
- 17:11Speaker 12: Any altercations?
- 17:13Speaker 5: Yes?
- 17:13Speaker 12: What kind of altercations?
- 17:14Speaker 7: Have you been bullying your husband in a physical way?
- 17:18Speaker 12: I have been burying him, have.
- 17:21Speaker 7: You?
- 17:22Speaker 13: You have been bullying him?
- 17:24Speaker 7: For somebody to turn in and give us?
- 17:26Speaker 5: I mean, who? Who?
- 17:27Speaker 7: Who? You talk to him? I can't put him one.
- 17:32Speaker 7: This is what I'm talking about, and this is what
- 17:34Speaker 7: you're talking about.
- 17:35Speaker 13: You got me my guy put off a htt crash,
- 17:38Speaker 13: and I tried somebody in for some arguments.
- 17:40Speaker 12: We're married.
- 17:41Speaker 13: Who are you freaking the who's married and does not argue?
- 17:44Speaker 7: I understand you mad, but it is my job to
- 17:46Speaker 7: protect husbands that are getting bullied by their wife.
- 17:49Speaker 5: This is our.
- 17:54Speaker 12: Okay, let me speak to him.
- 17:55Speaker 7: I'm not at liberty to let you speak to him
- 17:57Speaker 7: right now. To you, what you're not gonna do is
- 17:58Speaker 7: bully me as well.
- 17:59Speaker 5: And I see what he's trying to bully you.
- 18:01Speaker 7: I want to know what going on.
- 18:02Speaker 13: And why you called me and my dad with some
- 18:04Speaker 13: crap about him being at some headquarters with AHPP. I'm
- 18:06Speaker 13: the CP isn't a hundred hpps and my husband's not
- 18:09Speaker 13: any protecting from anybody fucking my mate.
- 18:10Speaker 7: You've been bullying your husband. You've been using bad language
- 18:13Speaker 7: with y'aho, you know.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Don't worry.
- 18:17Speaker 13: I want to talk him. My husband when he said
- 18:21Speaker 13: I do, he said, I do whatever she said to me.
- 18:23Speaker 13: Whenever he said the high er she said it, and
- 18:24Speaker 13: never he did. And if he has the problems with
- 18:27Speaker 13: arguing me, skin need to stop his craft and he
- 18:28Speaker 13: won't be in an argument.
- 18:29Speaker 7: And you tell him that, you see, this is what
- 18:31Speaker 7: we're talking about. This is why he's been picked up

- 22:27Speaker 1: Breaking up a marriage. Wow. Yeah, na, yep, I believe that.
- 22:34Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 22:36Speaker 1: And twenty years later, Vivica A.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Fox is still trolling her ex fifty cent and the

- 22:49Speaker 4: But right now it is time to ask the CLO
- 22:53Speaker 4: our chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey. All right, Steve Colo,
- 22:57Speaker 4: this is from Donald in Salt Lake City. Donald writes,
- 23:00Speaker 4: I'm getting a divorce, and whenever I try to move on,
- 23:04Speaker 4: my ex wife shows up and embarrasses me by acting
- 23:08Speaker 4: a fool. I don't know how to make her stop,
- 23:12Speaker 4: so I'm thinking about relocating. I would miss my kids, though,
- 23:15Speaker 4: so how do I handle this?
- 23:18Speaker 9: Send them kids some nice gifts?
- 23:20Speaker 1: Though you think he should run.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Leave town, been there, don't stop. I don't know how
- 23:31Speaker 2: to make them stop either, so I don't know what
- 23:33Speaker 2: to tell you. Get out.
- 23:36Speaker 3: That sound like a plan to me, dog relocate, get out,
- 23:41Speaker 3: don't do like I did. I said here relocate. I
- 23:47Speaker 3: should have been in Jerusalem years ago.
- 23:50Speaker 1: What about the kids though, seriously, what about the kids?
- 23:53Speaker 7: Dog?
- 23:53Speaker 3: They got FaceTime everything, all right? I do his text
- 24:00Speaker 3: anyway though, my kids haven't been in my house and.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Text me yeah, yeah, got to be there for the baby,
- 24:09Speaker 1: all right.
- 24:09Speaker 4: Moving on to Judith and Talula, Julith writes, I charged
- 24:13Speaker 4: a person on a credit card that I was not
- 24:15Speaker 4: supposed to be using. My husband closed the account and
- 24:19Speaker 4: I opened it back up. He lectured me about spending
- 24:23Speaker 4: cash instead of using cards. I worked daily, So do
- 24:28Speaker 4: I have to abide by his rules?
- 24:30Speaker 2: Well you didn't, So what are we talking about?
- 24:34Speaker 7: That?
- 24:34Speaker 1: Answers that he closed the car.
- 24:36Speaker 3: You ain, Hey, you bought the purse. He wasn't posted.
- 24:40Speaker 3: He closed a card, You open it back up. He
- 24:44Speaker 3: called you, and he lectured you. You wrote us a letter,
- 24:48Speaker 3: So I don't think it's really going the way he
- 24:51Speaker 3: wanted to go anyway.
- 24:54Speaker 14: You know.
- 24:56Speaker 3: My message to men when it comes to finances with women,
- 25:01Speaker 3: give her help them some financial freedom so you.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Can have some peace of mind. WHOA if you try not?
- 25:14Speaker 1: No, she don't share, Yeah, she says, she works daily.
- 25:17Speaker 3: No, that don't give you final free She said she
- 25:20Speaker 3: bought a purse she wasn't supposed to. Who said that him?
- 25:24Speaker 3: He closed the account that she put it on. She
- 25:28Speaker 3: went back there and opened it back up. This is
- 25:30Speaker 3: fin to go on and on and on for years.
- 25:33Speaker 3: So it's in the man's best interest to give a
- 25:36Speaker 3: woman financial freedom. Yes, she has a job, but y'all
- 25:40Speaker 3: got to come with laws in y'all's family and rules
- 25:44Speaker 3: that allows her to have the financial freedom because you're
- 25:49Speaker 3: married to an adult. She ain't your child, and they're
- 25:52Speaker 3: not gonna let you cheat them like children, not when
- 25:55Speaker 3: you and not want to do grown folks stuff with.
- 25:57Speaker 9: Him all the time.
- 25:58Speaker 1: And this is just a perse Yeah what kind of
- 26:00Speaker 1: bag was? Yeah?
- 26:02Speaker 9: But see there you go, Gucci, there you go. Whatever.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Do you know the problem he got now because Sheita
- 26:12Speaker 3: wrote in on a national radio show.
- 26:14Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he just wants her to spend cash instead
- 26:19Speaker 4: of using cards too.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Oh what happened? That's why?
- 26:22Speaker 3: Yeah, one card or you need the American Express where
- 26:26Speaker 3: you can get a point. See, then spending your card
- 26:30Speaker 3: make a little bit better sense because I get points
- 26:33Speaker 3: and you can turn it back in.
- 26:35Speaker 2: But listen, man, if he wanted you to pay cash.
- 26:38Speaker 2: That's a good deal too.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's what the lecture was about, especially if
- 26:43Speaker 1: you don't.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Have a card, because now if you're not gonna pay
- 26:45Speaker 3: the card off right away, whatever you pay for that
- 26:49Speaker 3: bag come with between eighteen to twenty one percent interest
- 26:52Speaker 3: on them credit cards.
- 26:56Speaker 4: All right, all right, Moving on to Marvin in Chicago.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Marvin writes, I met my side chick at a hotel.
- 27:05Speaker 4: When I left, I took her phone by the stake.
- 27:09Speaker 4: She panicked and showed up at my house to get
- 27:11Speaker 4: her phone. Luckily, luckily my wife wasn't home when she
- 27:16Speaker 4: popped up. How do I make sure she won't do
- 27:21Speaker 4: this stuff again?
- 27:24Speaker 2: Well, the first thing you could do is not have
- 27:27Speaker 2: her as the side piece.
- 27:31Speaker 1: That's let's just start common sense. Yeah, yeah, bro, How
- 27:35Speaker 1: she know where you live?
- 27:38Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 27:40Speaker 2: What you're doing?
- 27:41Speaker 9: Yeah, it's rules society piece. But how you take her phone?
- 27:46Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:47Speaker 1: How you get out of the home and didn't know
- 27:49Speaker 1: you didn't have your phone? Yeah they don't. Yeah, they
- 27:53Speaker 1: don't need to do this.
- 27:57Speaker 2: They're not your phone at the hotel, which sat man.
- 28:04Speaker 9: I don't think you understand the rules to none of this.
- 28:09Speaker 3: That's crazy. How do I stop her from doing stuff
- 28:13Speaker 3: like this. She showed up in my house.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Yeah, she's stupid, right, you know, drove all the.
- 28:24Speaker 9: Way home with her phone. Right, you're so stupid. You
- 28:30Speaker 9: don't know you stupid?
- 28:32Speaker 1: Hell ad and like a true expert, Yeah, game recognized.
- 28:40Speaker 9: You don't even know he's stupid. Better recognize your guilt.
- 28:50Speaker 1: All right? H wow, all right, last one, Steve. This
- 28:54Speaker 1: is the last one.
- 28:55Speaker 4: This is from Bree and Griffin writes. My boyfriend and
- 28:59Speaker 4: I live far apart. I go visit him a lot,
- 29:02Speaker 4: and he's never offered to pay for my gas. I
- 29:06Speaker 4: asked him about it, and he said that he doesn't
- 29:09Speaker 4: ask me for gas money when he visits me.
- 29:12Speaker 1: So we're even. The question is should he pay for
- 29:16Speaker 1: my gas? Or are we even?
- 29:19Speaker 12: Like?
- 29:19Speaker 2: No, I think the question is should y'all be together?
- 29:23Speaker 9: Thank you?

- 37:29Speaker 4: Around the holidays, it's hard to find the right gifts,
- 37:32Speaker 4: but you know it's even harder getting the right gift.
- 37:35Speaker 9: But get this.
- 37:36Speaker 4: Verizon's got the perfect solve for both. They have incredible
- 37:41Speaker 4: gift bundles. You get the latest phone with a new
- 37:44Speaker 4: line on my plan and a brand new smartwatch and tablet,
- 37:48Speaker 4: no trade in needed. You can give a couple away
- 37:51Speaker 4: and get yourself one two, or you could keep them
- 37:54Speaker 4: all to yourself.
- 37:55Speaker 1: No one has to know. Stop by your local Verizon.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Group of Vietnam War and Korean War veterans from Badger
- 38:04Speaker 4: Honor Flight were surprised this weekend when former President Barack
- 38:07Speaker 4: Obama showed up to greet their flight at Reagan National
- 38:10Speaker 4: Airport in DC. Obama boarded a plane and addressed the
- 38:14Speaker 4: veterans and shook each person's hand as he presented them
- 38:18Speaker 4: each with a Presidential Challenge coin. On his Facebook page,
- 38:22Speaker 4: Obama posted a touching video of his interaction with the
- 38:25Speaker 4: veterans as the crowd cheered them on, and he wrote
- 38:29Speaker 4: quote ahead of Veterans Day, I was honored to welcome
- 38:33Speaker 4: a flight of veterans and their families as they arrived
- 38:36Speaker 4: in DCE. To all those who bravely served our country.
- 38:40Speaker 4: Thank you to you and your family for your extraordinary service.
- 38:45Speaker 4: The sacrifices that all of you have made to protect
- 38:47Speaker 4: our country will be honored today and every day. Our
- 38:51Speaker 4: former president, of course, is a class act. And Ken
- 38:55Speaker 4: we just say this too, he's missed. We miss you,
- 38:57Speaker 4: President Obama.
- 38:58Speaker 9: It looks so President.
- 39:00Speaker 16: Yes, that's the understatement of the no, but I kept
- 39:05Speaker 16: rewinding it, calling, reminiscing, yeah, yeah, no hate, no tantrums,
- 39:16Speaker 16: no good Yeah, I'm.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Just it's just amazed what we're dealing with right now.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Like, okay, because of the government shutdown, right, we had
- 39:26Speaker 3: all of these air traffic controllers who haven't been getting paid, right,
- 39:30Speaker 3: so some of them have called in because it's just crazy.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Donald Trump yesterday says he will remember those who called
- 39:40Speaker 3: in because he didn't like it, and I will remember that. Well, bro,
- 39:50Speaker 3: how many days do you go to work without getting
- 39:52Speaker 3: paid and then all you had to do was not
- 39:56Speaker 3: have this shutdown and everybody would get paid. It's amazing, man,
- 40:01Speaker 3: how you can ask of people to do stuff you
- 40:03Speaker 3: won't do right, right, How do you ask anybody to
- 40:09Speaker 3: keep coming away, and they're a high stress job at
- 40:11Speaker 3: traffic control, they're not in there, ain't no, you can't
- 40:14Speaker 3: pay attention. I'm sitting back drinking coffee. No, no, no,
- 40:17Speaker 3: you it's an on point position the entire time you're there, right, Yeah.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Mistakes cost lives, yes, and.
- 40:27Speaker 1: They're not replaceable. You can't just go get somebody else.
- 40:30Speaker 3: Just come on any right, Yeah, this is this is
- 40:33Speaker 3: not a job where somebody can sit at your desk
- 40:36Speaker 3: and they ain't asking phones when they pick up that headset.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Somebody talking about land and take it off. Somebody got
- 40:43Speaker 3: problems and so these people, man, I just don't understand
- 40:50Speaker 3: why how you talk to them that way? Man, No understanding.
- 40:54Speaker 3: But like I said, if you've never come from nothing,
- 40:58Speaker 3: you can't lead or govern people who have. Yeah, because
- 41:01Speaker 3: you have no idea what they're going through. You have
- 41:04Speaker 3: no idea what it is. You don't come about gas
- 41:06Speaker 3: prices and how much eggs costs.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know what it's like to be without
- 41:09Speaker 1: a paycheck for you in two days, without your snap benefits.
- 41:13Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, all right, coming up at thirty four minutes
- 41:16Speaker 4: after the hour, we'll play a round of one has
- 41:18Speaker 4: to go right after this. You're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 41:28Speaker 4: It's time now for a round of one has to go.
- 41:30Speaker 4: Here we go during intimacy. You want the TV on,
- 41:35Speaker 4: the music on, or the ceiling fan on? Which one
- 41:39Speaker 4: one has to go?
- 41:40Speaker 9: As long as we doing it, I don't care with TV.
- 41:45Speaker 9: Something has to go.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, either the TV has to go, the music
- 41:50Speaker 1: or the ceiling fan, which one?
- 41:53Speaker 9: I don't need none of.
- 41:56Speaker 7: That?
- 41:56Speaker 9: Really, that that fan gonna create a problem.
- 41:59Speaker 1: I'm telling you why why?
- 42:01Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm just telling you that's all I'm saying. That's
- 42:04Speaker 9: fan gonna create what.
- 42:09Speaker 16: I don't understand.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it should be. That's not a good thing to
- 42:13Speaker 1: have the ceiling with Steve.
- 42:14Speaker 9: Steve know and Junior know. But I'm just gonna leave
- 42:17Speaker 9: it right there.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Jun what's he talking about?
- 42:20Speaker 9: The fan has to go?
- 42:23Speaker 2: Why?
- 42:23Speaker 8: Over the TV?
- 42:25Speaker 7: What?
- 42:25Speaker 1: Somebody? Please tell us why?
- 42:29Speaker 9: It's a pulling off the root, it's drying off the room.
- 42:36Speaker 1: I'm naked. This saying is oh Coole.

- 42:48Speaker 2: I can't say that.
- 42:51Speaker 9: They trying to be nice, and you tell you why
- 42:52Speaker 9: they don't want the ceiling fan.
- 42:57Speaker 1: She's hot, all right? One has to go barbee.
- 43:07Speaker 9: That was certainly though it was somebody.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, too long of a pause there for me.
- 43:16Speaker 5: All right.
- 43:17Speaker 4: One has to go barbecue, soul food, Italian food, Italian
- 43:22Speaker 4: for time.
- 43:26Speaker 9: People. All right.
- 43:29Speaker 17: One has to ruin my life, pizza, possum on yeah whatever.
- 43:37Speaker 15: I'm not ruining my Lifecini feiccini, poor chaps.

- 44:17Speaker 9: Got none of that? Shoes I gotta go ride. You
- 44:25Speaker 9: got none of that?
- 44:28Speaker 1: How about nice toned back?
- 44:29Speaker 9: We'll pick for you.
- 44:31Speaker 4: Yeah, because you guys talk about your stomachs a lot,
- 44:34Speaker 4: so you want to keep that one?
- 44:36Speaker 9: Oh we won't. The squeals.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Oh yeah, see I'm misunderstood that one has to go.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Yeah, one has to eliminate.
- 44:44Speaker 2: One got a nice stomach, nice arms or nice back?
- 44:48Speaker 1: Yeah, flat stomach, nice tone.
- 44:51Speaker 9: Oh, don't about the back. I can't see it, knowing.
- 44:54Speaker 3: I got to pick my front. It's my front. But
- 44:57Speaker 3: that's the sad thing about me. My back is my
- 44:59Speaker 3: best part. That's what's to say.
- 45:02Speaker 1: So you need to walk backwards, all right. One has
- 45:11Speaker 1: to go tiny house, treehouse, house boat.
- 45:19Speaker 9: Treehu.

- 46:08Speaker 13: Tell you?
- 46:09Speaker 6: All right?
- 46:10Speaker 4: That's one has to go for today. Coming up next,
- 46:13Speaker 4: it is the Nephew and Today's right after this, you're
- 46:19Speaker 4: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at
- 46:27Speaker 4: about four minutes after the hour, it is my Strawberry

- 46:34Speaker 4: I'm firing back. Okay, we'll get into that find out
- 46:38Speaker 4: what that is all about in just a few because
- 46:40Speaker 4: right now it is time for the Nephew and Today's

- 46:47Speaker 11: You know, sure a lot of people get calls about
- 46:49Speaker 11: you know this is not paid. That's not paid. You
- 46:53Speaker 11: know you're behind on this. So this phone call is
- 46:56Speaker 11: a little unusual because I'm making this call letting the
- 46:58Speaker 11: man know that I got to come get your doors.
- 47:03Speaker 11: Your doors ain't paid for. All the doors in the house,

- 47:43Speaker 7: Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach a mister Paul. Please
- 47:47Speaker 7: call Virginia Senior, probably senior. Okay, this is how you
- 47:51Speaker 7: doing to that? I'm good, I'm good. Listen, my name
- 47:52Speaker 7: is Mark. I'm actually calling from a company called Doors.
- 47:57Speaker 7: Are you are you at the court?
- 47:59Speaker 5: Yes?
- 47:59Speaker 7: Correct? You guys just built that home, right, Yeah, like
- 48:02Speaker 7: I said, my name is Mark Stevens. I'm actually calling
- 48:04Speaker 7: from a doors We're actually the company that supplied the
- 48:09Speaker 7: doors that are actually throughout your house.
- 48:11Speaker 5: Okay, great, what are you calling for a follow up?
- 48:14Speaker 7: No, this isn't a follow up. Actually, we're got a
- 48:16Speaker 7: couple of glitches we want to try and get get
- 48:18Speaker 7: straightened out if we could find Well, here's here's the problem, sir.
- 48:22Speaker 7: The problem we're having is that the contractor that actually
- 48:25Speaker 7: built you all home, yes, has not paid for the doors.
- 48:30Speaker 7: You guys have been there two and a half months,
- 48:32Speaker 7: and we can't seem to get the contract to come
- 48:35Speaker 7: in and pay for the doors.
- 48:38Speaker 5: Tried to call them.
- 48:39Speaker 7: We've tried to call him several times and we have
- 48:41Speaker 7: not been able to wait a number they on him
- 48:43Speaker 7: because he doesn't have a good number.
- 48:44Speaker 5: I can give you a number, because I really don't
- 48:47Speaker 5: have anything to do with that. In fact, how do
- 48:49Speaker 5: you get my number?
- 48:50Speaker 7: Well, actually we had your number one file as the homeowner,
- 48:53Speaker 7: and that's pretty much how we had you. But the
- 48:56Speaker 7: problem we're facing here, sir, is we've tried to get
- 48:58Speaker 7: this guy for the last couple of months and we
- 49:00Speaker 7: can't get him. So, actually, what's what's gonna happen here
- 49:04Speaker 7: in the next day or so is we're probably gonna
- 49:06Speaker 7: have to come and get all the doors. Oh no,
- 49:09Speaker 7: ways they can do what. We're probably gonna have to
- 49:11Speaker 7: come and get all the doors in your house, take
- 49:14Speaker 7: them off and bring them back here to the plant
- 49:16Speaker 7: until we get We're gonna go get all my doors.
- 49:18Speaker 7: We we're gonna have to get those doors until either
- 49:21Speaker 7: we get a contractor or you know, we get paid
- 49:24Speaker 7: for the doors. Now, what could happen is you could
- 49:26Speaker 7: pay for the doors.
- 49:27Speaker 5: No, no, no, already paid for the doors. That's that's
- 49:29Speaker 5: that's past tense. I've done that paid. You say, paying
- 49:33Speaker 5: that means I got to double back.
- 49:34Speaker 7: Well, sir, we haven't been paid, sir for the doors
- 49:37Speaker 7: as well.
- 49:38Speaker 5: No, no, no, the contractor was paid for the doors.
- 49:41Speaker 5: That's who pays you.
- 49:42Speaker 7: Okay, And what I'm trying to explain to you, sir,
- 49:45Speaker 7: we haven't been paid at all here at doors now
- 49:49Speaker 7: we're all all.
- 49:50Speaker 5: All okay, Well I do what they should have received
- 49:53Speaker 5: a check from my contract.
- 49:55Speaker 7: What I mean you, sir, is that that hasn't been done.
- 49:59Speaker 5: So since you have not an paid, you're gonna come
- 50:00Speaker 5: back and get my doors. Now you said we Now,
- 50:02Speaker 5: who's all this you know? And who are we gonna come?
- 50:05Speaker 7: Here's the problem here?
- 50:06Speaker 5: Like I know, No, the ain't no problems. We're gonna
- 50:08Speaker 5: we're gonna resolve this very peacefully. But who who is we?
- 50:11Speaker 7: Okay? So what's taking place here at my job is
- 50:14Speaker 7: they've taken this money out of my check that hasn't
- 50:16Speaker 7: been paid for the doors. Oh yes, I.
- 50:19Speaker 5: Can't understand that. But why would they take it out
- 50:21Speaker 5: of your check? You did the mand hours, you've done
- 50:23Speaker 5: your work.
- 50:24Speaker 7: Why don't I understand it?
- 50:25Speaker 3: Sir?
- 50:25Speaker 7: But since the company hasn't been paid, the company is
- 50:28Speaker 7: taking it out on me and it's not gonna come
- 50:30Speaker 7: down on me. So either I'm gonna get.
- 50:31Speaker 5: The doors, well you need to quit your job because
- 50:34Speaker 5: they're gonna because they need to give you a uh
- 50:36Speaker 5: not just give you a bonus, but give you some
- 50:38Speaker 5: holly work. Because bottom line is he's talking about coming
- 50:41Speaker 5: to get my doors. Now that's not gonna happen.
- 50:44Speaker 7: Either we resolve this peacefully as if you paid for it,
- 50:47Speaker 7: or I come out and get the doors now I'm
- 50:49Speaker 7: not finished city and go back and way.
- 50:50Speaker 5: You need to go in and come get these doors,
- 50:52Speaker 5: gas up and come get these doors. Because you're not
- 50:54Speaker 5: gonna come and get this. I'm not gonna send you
- 50:56Speaker 5: no money, okay, sir. The then what we need to
- 50:59Speaker 5: do is get a skilled that's a time where I
- 51:00Speaker 5: can come out and get all the doors. Now, I'm
- 51:02Speaker 5: on your time.
- 51:03Speaker 7: I'm sorry, I'm on your time now. So you got this,
- 51:05Speaker 7: you must be paying me now since I'm on your time,
- 51:08Speaker 7: what are you talking about? Because you're talking about you're gonna.
- 51:10Speaker 5: Set up a time with me. That means I have
- 51:13Speaker 5: to leave and do what I do to be meeting
- 51:14Speaker 5: you here to get something that don't belong to you,
- 51:16Speaker 5: which is my door.
- 51:17Speaker 7: So you don't have to be there at all.
- 51:19Speaker 5: Because I'm gonna say, I'm gonna come.
- 51:20Speaker 7: In and take the front door off, and I'm gonna
- 51:22Speaker 7: keep keep moving through the house and get all the
- 51:24Speaker 7: doors and get them back here to the play.
- 51:26Speaker 5: I don't think you hear yourself now. First and foremost,
- 51:28Speaker 5: how you when you come to the front door, I'm
- 51:30Speaker 5: gonna be without waiting on you as you as you
- 51:33Speaker 5: take it off latch. I'm gonna be on you behind
- 51:35Speaker 5: making sure you realize you're gonna have to take this
- 51:37Speaker 5: door or take this and I'm I'm pretty sure Trimper coming.

- 51:55Speaker 5: Say you better, Hey, bring your tom down when you
- 51:57Speaker 5: talk to me, you talk to him, go play. I'm

- 56:42Speaker 9: It is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:44Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew.
- 56:46Speaker 4: Subject you fire off, I'm firing back, Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 56:51Speaker 4: I married a man with four children, all under age fifteen,
- 56:55Speaker 4: and they live with us two weeks a month. I
- 56:58Speaker 4: have a five year old and I have sole custody
- 57:01Speaker 4: because my ex husband works in England. I'm Birachel and
- 57:04Speaker 4: I grew up with my white mom, who spoke softly
- 57:07Speaker 4: and allowed me to express my feelings and do what
- 57:10Speaker 4: I wanted within reason. As I grew up, I saw
- 57:13Speaker 4: that I needed discipline, so I decided that I would
- 57:16Speaker 4: not be as lenient when I have children of my own.
- 57:19Speaker 4: So here I am newly married to a white man,
- 57:22Speaker 4: and his children are testing me every day. I called
- 57:26Speaker 4: my black dad and black grandma for advice on dealing
- 57:30Speaker 4: with my stepchildren's lack of respect. My grandmother told me
- 57:34Speaker 4: to talk to my husband about the kid's behavior, but
- 57:37Speaker 4: that didn't work. My husband told me that if I
- 57:40Speaker 4: offend them, they won't want to spend spend time at
- 57:43Speaker 4: our home. When an eight year old tells me to
- 57:46Speaker 4: shut up and a twelve year old slams a bedroom
- 57:49Speaker 4: door in my face, I'm not willing to let it slide.
- 57:52Speaker 4: I am usually home alone with them. When it happened
- 57:55Speaker 4: over the weekend, I saw his fourteen year old daughter
- 57:57Speaker 4: kissing a sixteen year old boy in the I know
- 58:01Speaker 4: his age because I dropped her off at his sixteenth
- 58:03Speaker 4: birthday party months ago. I told her that I saw her,
- 58:08Speaker 4: and I asked if we could talk about setting a
- 58:10Speaker 4: better example for her younger siblings, who also saw her
- 58:14Speaker 4: making out. She told me that I need to mind
- 58:17Speaker 4: my effing business. That night, I warned my husband that
- 58:21Speaker 4: if she or any of his kids fires off at
- 58:23Speaker 4: me again, then I'm firing off. He told me that's
- 58:27Speaker 4: not my place, and he'll handle.
- 58:28Speaker 1: His own kids.
- 58:30Speaker 4: Oh no, sir, that is not how it will go
- 58:32Speaker 4: in this house. I am firing off and I'll deal
- 58:36Speaker 4: with my husband later. Why should his children be off
- 58:39Speaker 4: limits to me? Well, they really shouldn't be. I mean,
- 58:43Speaker 4: this is just some stupid rule your husband has because
- 58:45Speaker 4: he doesn't want their mom to stop.
- 58:47Speaker 1: Them from coming over there.
- 58:49Speaker 4: The ex is holding the kids over his head, and
- 58:52Speaker 4: your husband nor his ex have told the kids that
- 58:54Speaker 4: they should respect you when they're in your home. And
- 58:58Speaker 4: that's what the kids are going with, not their mom,
- 59:00Speaker 4: so they don't have to do what you say. Their
- 59:03Speaker 4: bitter mama has already prepped them before they get to
- 59:06Speaker 4: your house. But you can't control what goes on with
- 59:09Speaker 4: them and their mom in their house anyway, so don't
- 59:12Speaker 4: even worry about that. The problem is the dad or
- 59:14Speaker 4: your husband. He may as well be a kid too,
- 59:17Speaker 4: because he's disrespecting you just as much as they are.
- 59:20Speaker 4: He told you is not your place to handle his kids.
- 59:24Speaker 4: He'll handle his own kids. But here's the problem. He's
- 59:27Speaker 4: not handling them. And why would he want to get
- 59:31Speaker 4: you all upset and let the kids come between you?
- 59:34Speaker 5: Guys?
- 59:34Speaker 1: Well, I say someone has to be the adult here.
- 59:37Speaker 7: They have to.
- 59:38Speaker 4: I mean, who are these kids that they think they
- 59:40Speaker 4: can just do and say whatever they want and know
- 59:43Speaker 4: they should be disciplined at your house too. So I'm
- 59:46Speaker 4: with you, fire back off at them when they start
- 59:49Speaker 4: acting up, and let your husband have it too.
- 59:51Speaker 1: If that's the case, Steve, Oh, you're fine.
- 1:00:01Speaker 9: I don't even I don't even know what the letter
- 1:00:03Speaker 9: is for. Well, here we go.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: You're fire off on fine back. I'm married to a
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: man with four children, all of them under the age
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: of fifteen.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: They live with us two weeks a month. I got
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: a five year old.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: I got sold custy there because my ex husband works
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: in England. I'm biracial. He would go to see, we
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: swear we running into this. It's lot of this, lot
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: of this got to do with race. I didn't bring
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: up race.
- 1:00:36Speaker 9: She did.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: She said I'm biracial. She didn't even have to say that,
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: but she noticed got something to do with this.
- 1:00:44Speaker 9: She didn't never even have to.
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: Mention she was biracial in this letter. But since you
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: started with I'm biracial, you.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Must want my.
- 1:00:55Speaker 9: Racial opinion throughout this letter.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: Well, I'm not gonna let you down, so I'm gonna
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: give a racial answer.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: What I'm giving a racial answer.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: She's biracial, so my answer will be racially based because
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: that's what she wanted. Well, anyway, a biracial lady, here
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: we go. I grew up with a white mama, which
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: means her daddy was black. And the mom was start
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: spoken and allowed you to express your feelings to do
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: what I wanted to do. Thing are you trying to
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: What she's trying to say is the white side of
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: her allowed her to do whatever she wanted to do.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: That's what she said in the letter.
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: Not me.
- 1:02:00Speaker 11: Then.
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: Reason As I grew up, I saw that I needed discipline.
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: That ain't the way to raise kids, So I decided
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: I would not be as lenient when I have children
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: of my own. That's the black side. Your mama lets
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: you do what you want to do. Your daddy went
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: hang with hell going on all right, so here we go.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: So here I am newly married to a white man.
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: Thing all right, Now you done bought this back into
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: your life. Now here come to white man with the
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: four white kids, with the white mama, with the white ruse,
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: And now here you come, little biracial lady, and you
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: finna deal with it.
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: Now.
- 1:02:47Speaker 9: The children are testing me every day.
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: Hang on, Steve, hang on. Okay, one test coming up
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: at twenty three minutes after the hours.
- 1:03:01Speaker 9: Me every day.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: You got one test.
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: Today, strawberry letter, subject is you fire off? I'm firing back.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Around the holidays, it's hard to
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: find the right gifts, but you know, it's even harder
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: getting the right gift.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: But get this.
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: Verizon's got the perfect solve for both. They have incredible
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: gift bundles. You get the latest phone with a new
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: line on my plan, and a brand new smartwatch and tablet,
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: no trade in needed. You can give a couple away
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: and get yourself one too, or you could keep them
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: all to yourself.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: No one has to know.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: Stop by your local Verizon. All right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject is you fire off.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: I'm firing back now.
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Lady wrote me a letter everybody, and she had no
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: reason to write this in the letter, but she said
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: she's married with four children. All I'm under the age
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: of fifteen and they lived with us. Two weeks after month,
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: I got sold custody of a child of mind because
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: my husband work in England. Oh that's cool. Then she said,
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: out of nowhere, I'm biracial. I grew up with my
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: white mom who let me speak freely do what I
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: wanted to do. And I'm assuming that she didn't mention
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: the black daddy because.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever she mentioned it, it's in here. I called.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: She mentioned it later on, but she didn't say right
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: here how the black daddy was.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: She said, my white mom allowed me to express my
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: feelings and do what I wanted within reason.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: As I grew up, I saw that I needed discreak.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: She didn't mention the black dad right here because why
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: because it may not be past statue of limitation.
- 1:04:47Speaker 9: So she didn't mention it.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: Because black daddy did something different changed her mind. She
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: grew up and saw she needed discipline so I would
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: not be leaning when I have children. Of all, here's
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: some more racial stuff. The reason I'm answering this letter
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: racially is because she interjected that I'm biracial. Part so
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: I'm newly married to a white man and his children
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: are testing me every day. Eh man, See you get
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: one test with me. You're not testing me every day.
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: I ain't in school. You gonna learn what you need
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: to learn on the first test day today, you gonna
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: know today I ain't the one, but you letting me
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: go on. I call my black dad and my black
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: grandma for advice on dealing with my stepchildren's lack of respect.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: Grandmama told you talk to your husband, that's a smart
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: thing to do and the kids behavior, and but it
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: didn't work.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Then you talk to your white husband about it.
- 1:05:50Speaker 9: He said that.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: Told me if I offended them, they won't want to
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: spend time at our home. I understand that. But this
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: is my house too, though, So what you're not finna
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: do is come in my house in disrespect. So let's
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: there's some cussing going on in this letter, and it
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: was from the sixteen year old girl, but it could
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: have should have started before that.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: For an eight year old tells me to shut up.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: The next question out in my mouth for clarity is
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: who you're talking to? See, I just need clarity because
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: maybe you was talking to the TV, maybe you was
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: on FaceTime one of your friends. I missed it, but
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: an eight year old tell me to shut up?
- 1:06:42Speaker 9: Who you talking to?
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: Problem now?
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: And then a twelve year old slams a bedroom door
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: in my face. Okay, okay, I'm not willing to let
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: it slide that I'm usually home along with them. And
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: over the weekend, I saw this fourteen year old daughter
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: kissing the sixteen year old in the driveway. I know
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: his age because I dropped off at the sixteenth birthday
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: party months ago. I told her I saw her and
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: asked if she could talk about setting a better example
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: for a young simbilings who saw her make it out.
- 1:07:17Speaker 9: She told me, I need to mind my f and
- 1:07:19Speaker 9: business now.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: I read all this quick so we can go back,
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: because cussing has been interjected into this family dynamic. And
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: I just want you to know that once you tell
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: me to shut my f and mouth the way I'm
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: talking to the white kids, after this, it's gonna be different.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: Let's go When an age of year old tells me
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: to shut up. My first thing is for clarity, who
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: the elf you talking to? Because I need clarity. And
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: then I'm gonna say I know you MFN ain't fuck
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: because see the white kids is cussing. So I'm finnie, Yeah,
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: I'm finna do the biracial thing. And I'm putting you
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: putting to put the black cussing into play. Now the combinations.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: The voice.
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: The twelve year old slams a bedroom door in my face,
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: or know that if you didn't, you must not walk
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: this MFN door. No MFN mo. See it's got a
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: rhyme because we're rapping now. So now I got a screwdriver.
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: Now I done took the door off.
- 1:08:42Speaker 7: You ain't.
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: You ain't shutting no more doors in here because I
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: done took the door off.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: The door in the garage, slam that dough blanketed blanket.
- 1:08:58Speaker 7: I'm not.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: I'm usually home along with him in Over the weekend,
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: I saw his fourteen year old daughter kissing the sixteen
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: years I said, you need to set a better example.
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: She told me to mind my FN business. Well, you
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: about to get the FN business because I'm finna start
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: fing somebody up. And it gonna be You said that
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: they introduced to cussing. I'm not cussing because we don't
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: do that on this show no more. But I've introduced
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: it to the faux white kids. That night, I wore
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: my husband that if one of the kids file on me,
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: I told him not to worry about it because I
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: handled it already.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Today.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: Ain't no MFN body gonna say an MFN thing to me,
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: No MFN moment.

- 1:16:03Speaker 4: old son to be a great man, so there's no
