- 0:15Speaker 1: million bucks things and its not true. Good Steve to
- 0:26Speaker 1: other fort I don't join Jo. You gotta use that
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn you. You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn
- 1:43Speaker 1: you love, got the turnout to turn turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water go. Come come on your baby now. Uh huh.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show will a good morning everybody. You'll listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice. Come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey oh Man got a radio show. Man got
- 2:13Speaker 1: a radio show, and a whole lot more to man.
- 2:15Speaker 1: God is good to me. I have no other explanation,
- 2:18Speaker 1: if I have no other explanation of my existence and
- 2:23Speaker 1: where I stand in this thing called life, except if
- 2:26Speaker 1: it was not for the goodness of God Almighty. If
- 2:29Speaker 1: it was not for His grace and his mercy, There's
- 2:33Speaker 1: no way I could exist the way that I do.
- 2:36Speaker 1: I would not be who I am or where I am.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I am who I am and where I am simply
- 2:43Speaker 1: because God is who he is. If it was not
- 2:48Speaker 1: for God, I would have no testimony for you, because
- 2:52Speaker 1: I would have failed every single test plain, pure and simple,
- 2:59Speaker 1: I can sit here today until you flat out that
- 3:03Speaker 1: it is purely because of God's grace and mercy that
- 3:08Speaker 1: I exist today because of His favor. See now He
- 3:12Speaker 1: shows us favor in life because of a combination of
- 3:16Speaker 1: things I've discovered. And this is not the whole answer
- 3:20Speaker 1: to life, I can assure you as not. But this
- 3:23Speaker 1: is a combination that I've grown to understand better and better,
- 3:28Speaker 1: and I wish I had gotten it earlier in my life.
- 3:31Speaker 1: But here it is. If you take faith and you
- 3:38Speaker 1: combine it with an incredible work ethic, then God has
- 3:48Speaker 1: the greatest opportunities to show you favor. That's the best
- 3:55Speaker 1: way I can explain success to you from my standpoint.
- 3:59Speaker 1: It is to combination of faith and work that produces
- 4:04Speaker 1: the most opportunities for God to show you favor. See
- 4:09Speaker 1: a lot of times we want God to bless us,
- 4:11Speaker 1: but we ain't doing nothing for him to bless So
- 4:14Speaker 1: now we sideways in the equation a little bit. But
- 4:18Speaker 1: see if you had the faith in God that God
- 4:22Speaker 1: can do anything but fail, that God will get you through,
- 4:26Speaker 1: that God will see you through, that that God is
- 4:29Speaker 1: the God you serve as the greatest gift of all
- 4:31Speaker 1: good things. If you kept that faith intact through it
- 4:35Speaker 1: all and you produced an incredible work ethic that allows
- 4:42Speaker 1: the most opportunities for God to show you favor. See
- 4:47Speaker 1: without that what you want God to do? See, you
- 4:50Speaker 1: can have faith and be sitting at the house watching TV.
- 4:55Speaker 1: There's nothing being produced, no opportunities for God to show
- 5:00Speaker 1: your favor. And you got to do some things man,
- 5:04Speaker 1: that you are uncomfortable doing or don't feel like doing,
- 5:08Speaker 1: or something that don't have the right payoff right in
- 5:11Speaker 1: front of your face, with the faith that it will
- 5:14Speaker 1: payoff later on. See, too many people are working for
- 5:18Speaker 1: the right now reward, and the right now reward is
- 5:22Speaker 1: not how it works. Sometimes the reward is coming later
- 5:25Speaker 1: on up the road. But the only way you can
- 5:28Speaker 1: know that is if you got to You got to
- 5:30Speaker 1: apply the faith and see the reason you don't know
- 5:34Speaker 1: that that's coming like that, or you have to have
- 5:37Speaker 1: faith to believe that it is coming. Because faith is
- 5:40Speaker 1: the belief in things that you cannot see. That's what
- 5:46Speaker 1: faith is. You know you're standing at let me give
- 5:49Speaker 1: you them. You're standing at the crosswalk with a walk
- 5:52Speaker 1: sign on it and the sign flashing on the corner.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Don't walk, then that the signs say walk, What do
- 6:00Speaker 1: you think your chances are making it across that street?
- 6:03Speaker 1: Is well pretty good because guess what the signs say walk.
- 6:08Speaker 1: You can see the other side. There's other people in
- 6:11Speaker 1: the cross walk walking, So guess what you strike out blindly?
- 6:15Speaker 1: It don't take a lot of faith to get across
- 6:17Speaker 1: that street. That's that's That's not why I'm talking to
- 6:21Speaker 1: you about. I'm talking about the faith, the belief in
- 6:25Speaker 1: things that you cannot see, the faith that what I'm
- 6:29Speaker 1: doing today, I believe in my heart of heart that
- 6:34Speaker 1: God wouldn't bring me this far to leave me. That
- 6:37Speaker 1: God is a true and living God, that he keeps
- 6:39Speaker 1: his promises, that later on, there's things that I'm working
- 6:42Speaker 1: towards right now gonna pay off later on. See, too
- 6:45Speaker 1: many people want to reward right now. See, that's not
- 6:48Speaker 1: the exhibition of faith. If it's the right thing to do,
- 6:54Speaker 1: if it's if it's a good thing to do, if
- 6:56Speaker 1: it's a just thing to do, see if it's seeing
- 7:00Speaker 1: in it it ain't God. You can just clear on
- 7:03Speaker 1: up right there. You can stop all they wandering. If
- 7:05Speaker 1: that's his voice talking to you, if it's the right
- 7:08Speaker 1: thing to do, if it's sin in it. It's not
- 7:12Speaker 1: God talking to you. Kill it. You you you can
- 7:16Speaker 1: shut it down. You ain't got to wonder about it.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Go down there in secret venge that ain't God. Go
- 7:21Speaker 1: tell him off when you see him. That ain't God. Anything.
- 7:24Speaker 1: That's God's sin in it, is not God's voice telling
- 7:27Speaker 1: you to do it. So you can you can kill
- 7:29Speaker 1: that conversation to date. That's how you know. But if
- 7:32Speaker 1: you align yourself up man and you and what you're
- 7:35Speaker 1: doing is just and right and correct and pleasing in
- 7:38Speaker 1: the sight of God, it'll pay off for you later on.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And see here's here's here's the best way I can
- 7:46Speaker 1: tell to it. Here's another one. When you're going somewhere,
- 7:52Speaker 1: when you're when you're on the road to going somewhere,
- 7:55Speaker 1: and you know the somewhere that you're trying to get to.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Let's say you've set a goal of for yourself, you
- 8:00Speaker 1: know where you want to get to, you got a
- 8:03Speaker 1: good idea, and you own your way to going there.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Listen to me when it gets hard, and it is
- 8:10Speaker 1: going to get hard, when it gets difficult, and it
- 8:13Speaker 1: is going to get difficult, when it becomes challenging, and
- 8:17Speaker 1: it is going to become challenging when it becomes all
- 8:21Speaker 1: three of those things. When it don't look like it's
- 8:23Speaker 1: gonna happen, don't stop and complain so much. But see,
- 8:29Speaker 1: I know he didn't bless me. But in the middle
- 8:31Speaker 1: of it, man, I felt a little heavy. And you
- 8:34Speaker 1: got to be careful when it gets hard for you,
- 8:36Speaker 1: because you'll find yourself complaining. And when you're complaining. See,
- 8:40Speaker 1: what you can't do is you can't complain so much
- 8:44Speaker 1: that you forget that the place that you're trying to
- 8:48Speaker 1: go to, you actually own your way there still. See,
- 8:53Speaker 1: don't get caught up into complaining and then lose sight
- 8:56Speaker 1: of your blessing that's actually happening. It to you? What really, man,
- 9:00Speaker 1: of all the times to register a complaint to God,
- 9:04Speaker 1: to sit up and go, hey, man, I didn't want
- 9:07Speaker 1: wanted to ease back into this thing. Ease back in, man,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you in It's it's a tornado world around you. You You
- 9:13Speaker 1: ain't got time to ease back in. You got it
- 9:15Speaker 1: going and jump back in it. It is what it is.
- 9:18Speaker 1: To whom much is given, much is required. Always appreciate
- 9:22Speaker 1: the blessings. Don't get so caught up into complaints that
- 9:24Speaker 1: you lose sight of the blessings. Man. God got a
- 9:27Speaker 1: lot for you in your life, man, but you gotta
- 9:29Speaker 1: have them two things, y'all. You gotta take that faith
- 9:32Speaker 1: and you got to apply a crazy work ethic to it.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And that creates the most opportunities for God to show
- 9:41Speaker 1: your favor. And when God starts showing your favor, man,
- 9:44Speaker 1: all of them seeds you planted, all of that, all
- 9:47Speaker 1: of that wheat you've been sewing, all of that hard
- 9:50Speaker 1: work you've been put in, God will pay it off.
- 9:52Speaker 1: And he'll pay it off in ways that you don't
- 9:54Speaker 1: even see coming. Okay, cool, you're listening to morning show.

- 12:26Speaker 1: us something you tell us on the air that you've
- 12:28Speaker 1: done that's really crazy. Okay, asked me about a situation,
- 12:31Speaker 1: and I'll tell you if I've done something. Okay, have
- 12:34Speaker 1: you ever been caught? This is where he yet here? Yet?
- 12:43Speaker 1: Go ahead, jump out of the window or so? How
- 12:46Speaker 1: did you get away? Oh? I dated an older woman
- 12:51Speaker 1: when I was in high school, Okay, and went by
- 12:54Speaker 1: a house and I was not prepared for this woman
- 12:58Speaker 1: at all. She was twenty six seventeen, and she put
- 13:01Speaker 1: on the neglige and went in the room. And then
- 13:04Speaker 1: I was sitting on the couch and didn't know what
- 13:06Speaker 1: the hell to do, really, and the kick wenting and doing.
- 13:08Speaker 1: A man walked in. He said, hey, no brother, what's
- 13:11Speaker 1: going on? I tid And then he went in there
- 13:13Speaker 1: and they had an argument. He said, well, I go
- 13:15Speaker 1: out here and see myself. Well, ain't gonna be no
- 13:17Speaker 1: night here for you to see when you bring your ass.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I did that because my ass is going. I jumped
- 13:23Speaker 1: down steps and did not touch nothing but the landing.
- 13:27Speaker 1: I m foot never touched the step. Yeah, all right,
- 13:33Speaker 1: well you're right then, Steve, you win coming up in
- 13:35Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, asked the CLO. The
- 13:39Speaker 1: cloth Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building right
- 13:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening show all right, time now for
- 13:48Speaker 1: asked the CLLO. But before we get into the CLLO,
- 13:51Speaker 1: don't forget coming up at the top of the hour,
- 13:53Speaker 1: our very special guest family member, the Reverend Al Sharpton.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Sharpton is gonna talk out the March Washington, the fifty
- 14:01Speaker 1: seventh anniversary. We'll talk about that coming up, all right,
- 14:05Speaker 1: you don't want to miss it. All right, CLO, Chief
- 14:08Speaker 1: Love Officer Steve Harvey, you're ready, let's go. This one
- 14:12Speaker 1: is from Beanie in Nashville. Beanie says, I'm a thirty
- 14:15Speaker 1: six year old bachelor with no children. I've been dating
- 14:18Speaker 1: a little here and a little there, but women seem
- 14:21Speaker 1: to be in to what a man can do for
- 14:24Speaker 1: them financially, and they lose sight of dating for the
- 14:27Speaker 1: purpose of getting married. I had a relationship for a
- 14:30Speaker 1: year with a woman, and if I wasn't showing out
- 14:33Speaker 1: money for something for her, she was pouting and saying
- 14:36Speaker 1: I didn't care about her. I don't have a lot
- 14:40Speaker 1: of money to splurge like that, but I don't mind
- 14:42Speaker 1: taking care of my girlfriend and wife someday. How can
- 14:45Speaker 1: a regular man win like this? Come on, beanie, no, no, no,
- 14:51Speaker 1: stop crying though, stop come on, Then regular men win
- 14:55Speaker 1: all the time. How does a regular man win by
- 14:58Speaker 1: being an exceptional bloom in my head? That's how you win?
- 15:02Speaker 1: See you, you you you, You bought into the buying
- 15:06Speaker 1: thing because you you, you're sitting up in line. That
- 15:08Speaker 1: to be the case. What you gotta do? You gotta
- 15:10Speaker 1: kill him with kindness. You gotta be a better gentleman,
- 15:13Speaker 1: be a bigger, a bigger, a bigger Conversationally, you gotta
- 15:17Speaker 1: provide a lot of stuff that women can't get from
- 15:20Speaker 1: other dudes. Man, anybody can buy somebody something. That ain't
- 15:24Speaker 1: the problem. Benny Man, you know you gotta put some
- 15:26Speaker 1: more work in relationships is work, and you gotta be
- 15:29Speaker 1: a better You gotta your picker sound like it could
- 15:32Speaker 1: be off too now a little bit? You know your pick? Yeah?
- 15:37Speaker 1: You know, dog? Why don't you get into some more
- 15:39Speaker 1: conversations before you get into the relationship For you gonna
- 15:42Speaker 1: how to buy somebody to dance women pool? The lads
- 15:47Speaker 1: already ain't got that much money. That's what you said.
- 15:49Speaker 1: So why don't you get into some conversations for you
- 15:51Speaker 1: get into the relationships. That's your problem. You're diving in
- 15:54Speaker 1: head first, winding and dine and taking people's tough and
- 15:57Speaker 1: then now how you start it is how you finished.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I can't get it. You can't change horses in the
- 16:01Speaker 1: middle of the stream though, So out of his league?
- 16:04Speaker 1: Are you saying? No, no, no, you supposed to marry
- 16:07Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you should marry us. But dog, you got
- 16:09Speaker 1: to come in here with some You know, this is
- 16:11Speaker 1: just how I take care of a woman. You want
- 16:13Speaker 1: this or you want that, and she expects you to
- 16:17Speaker 1: come in and buy her a life. Then you know,
- 16:19Speaker 1: we got a little problem. Thank Paula, and Tampa says Paula.
- 16:29Speaker 1: And Tampa says, I'm a fifty nine year old woman
- 16:32Speaker 1: and I was dating a seventy year old gentleman that
- 16:34Speaker 1: my daughter introduced me to. We hit it off and
- 16:37Speaker 1: everything was fine, but we've never had sex. He always
- 16:42Speaker 1: says that there was no rush. My daughters and I
- 16:45Speaker 1: are very close, and my youngest was in town, so
- 16:48Speaker 1: I told her about my new man. She said her
- 16:50Speaker 1: older sister secretly dated him and it was disgusting for
- 16:54Speaker 1: her to hook hooked me up with him. My daughter
- 16:57Speaker 1: denied it. He said he begged my daughter to hook
- 17:00Speaker 1: us up, and nothing indecent happened with her. I don't
- 17:03Speaker 1: know who to believe. Why would my daughter lie? I
- 17:07Speaker 1: don't know, ain't my daughter don't? I don't understand why
- 17:13Speaker 1: you wrote me without this. You got seventy old man
- 17:17Speaker 1: never had sex, and then your younger daughter came on
- 17:19Speaker 1: and told you that your other daughter dated him. Okay, what,
- 17:23Speaker 1: what's what's happening? I don't know what to tell you, small, Yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 1: that's I don't know. I don't know why your younger
- 17:30Speaker 1: daughter would come here and talk about she dated Even
- 17:32Speaker 1: then the man said, nothing inappropriate to happen. And then
- 17:35Speaker 1: you and the man ain't had sex? What? Yeah, you're
- 17:39Speaker 1: about to sounds crazy? Wait? What what junior? Junior? Everybody
- 17:44Speaker 1: hanging out at the nursing home. It sound like that
- 17:50Speaker 1: seventy dude? Sound good at me because I'm sixty three.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I'm seven years waiting now and I don't even feel
- 17:55Speaker 1: like it. Man, you don't look, but I do wake
- 17:59Speaker 1: up in this stuff. Be hurt now. I don't know
- 18:01Speaker 1: how to hell. They started and you really don't act
- 18:04Speaker 1: like it. Hell no, I ain't gonna have asked him?
- 18:07Speaker 1: Do you know you're almost that age? Can you know?
- 18:10Speaker 1: And my wife used to ask me a time, do
- 18:12Speaker 1: you realize you fit now to? But she just stopped.
- 18:18Speaker 1: Then then she she just stopped. She said because you
- 18:21Speaker 1: And she told me the other day she said, you
- 18:24Speaker 1: ain't gonna act like I quld ask so thank you? So?
- 18:31Speaker 1: So why should her daughter lie? So? What are you
- 18:34Speaker 1: saying to that? I don't know? Are you saying nothing?
- 18:36Speaker 1: I don't care. I don't know about this letter. I
- 18:38Speaker 1: don't I don't know who this dude is. The question
- 18:41Speaker 1: don't make no sense. Why would she lie? Who lie?
- 18:44Speaker 1: By what she's thinking? Her daughter is lying. Her younger
- 18:49Speaker 1: daughter is lying to her that her older daughter dated
- 18:51Speaker 1: the guy. I guess she's trying to figure out. Why
- 18:53Speaker 1: would her daughter lie to her about it? You know,
- 18:55Speaker 1: y'all too old for this? What is line for NASA seven?
- 19:01Speaker 1: I'm not gonna ever tell a last Yeah, all right,
- 19:09Speaker 1: we're gonna move on here. Uh deal with you. You
- 19:12Speaker 1: gotta deal with your daughters, all right. Christine and Philly says,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I recently married a man that I met online and
- 19:18Speaker 1: we got married after dating for only five months. I'm
- 19:22Speaker 1: his third wife, so I should have taken more time
- 19:25Speaker 1: to get to know him. Instead, I ended up married
- 19:28Speaker 1: to a man with multiple personalities. One day he can
- 19:32Speaker 1: be really happy and all in love, and then the
- 19:35Speaker 1: next day he might get mad at me over something
- 19:37Speaker 1: petty and lock me out of our bedroom. He's made
- 19:41Speaker 1: me sleep on the couch for the last time, and
- 19:43Speaker 1: I'm ready to call it quits. He says, this is
- 19:46Speaker 1: all part of marriage and we're still getting to know
- 19:49Speaker 1: each other. Should we see counseling or should I leave?
- 19:56Speaker 1: It's time to escape? You know nothing with he'd locked
- 20:01Speaker 1: you out the bedroom though, this ain't counseling. His ass
- 20:04Speaker 1: need help, and you need to get out for you
- 20:08Speaker 1: need some type of health temper. Get out. This ain't counseling.
- 20:12Speaker 1: He has a mental disorder. You ain't. You ain't got
- 20:15Speaker 1: time for that. But would Bob Hoolis gets aphrenic something,
- 20:19Speaker 1: I would suggest you get out now? Let me ask
- 20:23Speaker 1: you this step. Would you say something to her about
- 20:25Speaker 1: marrying a man she met online and only knew she
- 20:28Speaker 1: already know that's stupid? Yeah, yeah, I ain't got to
- 20:31Speaker 1: tell her that, But she got caught up. Yeah, who
- 20:34Speaker 1: think that's a good idea? Right now? Him? Nate, neither
- 20:36Speaker 1: him or her? Yeah, all right, yeah, slow down, slow down?
- 20:43Speaker 1: All right, thank you, cello. Great advice is always coming up. Next,
- 20:46Speaker 1: the nephew in the building would run that prank back
- 20:48Speaker 1: right after this you're listening. Coming up at the top
- 20:54Speaker 1: of the hour, Reverend Al Sharpton will be our very
- 20:57Speaker 1: special guest. He's going to tell us about today's iconic
- 21:00Speaker 1: march on Washington fifty seven years later to the day.
- 21:06Speaker 1: The march will take place in our nation's capital, and
- 21:08Speaker 1: the theme is get your knee off our Next. But
- 21:12Speaker 1: right now, before we get too serious, the nephew is
- 21:16Speaker 1: here to make us laugh like he always does. Would
- 21:20Speaker 1: run that prank back. What you got for us, nevs. Well,
- 21:23Speaker 1: surely it's morning time and the need to put some
- 21:26Speaker 1: makeup on and get ready for our days. Can you
- 21:30Speaker 1: do my makeup? Can you come less do my makeup?
- 21:36Speaker 1: Let's let's let's let's let's I want to hear this.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Let's run necat dog put a little makeup on. Hello, Hello,
- 21:43Speaker 1: maw to Brandy police. Yes, this is Brandy, Brandy. My
- 21:47Speaker 1: name is Carl. I'm calling I got a you can't
- 21:50Speaker 1: highly recommended. You actually you're you actually are? I'm sorry,
- 21:53Speaker 1: it is it may. I don't know if I'm saying
- 21:54Speaker 1: r as a makeup artist, makeup style, that's what you
- 21:56Speaker 1: what do you call it? It's makeup artist. I'm a
- 21:58Speaker 1: professional makeup artists Okay. And you work at the you
- 22:02Speaker 1: work at the makeup counter and correct? Okay, listen, I
- 22:06Speaker 1: gotta I got a photo shoot coming up, and I
- 22:09Speaker 1: wanted to see about um sometime this week maybe the
- 22:12Speaker 1: follow a week. You could actually come and I hire
- 22:15Speaker 1: you'd actually make me up for my photo shoot. Is
- 22:18Speaker 1: do you do a lot of photo shoots at all?
- 22:20Speaker 1: Or you? Yes? There I should do. I've been in
- 22:22Speaker 1: the business for ten years, so I've been around several
- 22:25Speaker 1: photo shoots. Okay, good deal. So what's I mean? You
- 22:28Speaker 1: have any time this week that I can actually just
- 22:30Speaker 1: come in and we can do like a trial run
- 22:32Speaker 1: or something. Yeah, I'll actually be here Friday for about
- 22:36Speaker 1: six hours with Friday work for you. I'm here. I
- 22:38Speaker 1: start at eleven. At eleven, I mean I could come
- 22:40Speaker 1: in later, maybe like around three on Friday, if if you,
- 22:43Speaker 1: if can you squeeze me in at that time. I
- 22:45Speaker 1: sure can. Okay, what's what's so good? Is there a
- 22:48Speaker 1: certain makeup for men? It worked out the same as
- 22:53Speaker 1: for women in photo shoots. You just need some type
- 22:55Speaker 1: of crane foundation, something to even out the skin tone,
- 22:58Speaker 1: powder you down to take way, the oils, cover up
- 23:01Speaker 1: any blemishes, or anything like that. It's pretty much the same.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Of course, you don't get the whole eyeshadow and lashes
- 23:06Speaker 1: and stuff, but right, right, right, right right, I'm not
- 23:09Speaker 1: but I just try to, you know, just trying to
- 23:10Speaker 1: look good on camera. Um. Let me ask you this.
- 23:14Speaker 1: How much makeup have you done? As far as um men?
- 23:17Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Yes, okay, I'm very comfortable
- 23:20Speaker 1: with it. You'll be fine, trust me. That's what I
- 23:22Speaker 1: was really worried about it, if you were going to
- 23:24Speaker 1: be comfortable with it, because I mean, have you done
- 23:26Speaker 1: um I'm a little conscientious about a few things, you
- 23:30Speaker 1: know what I mean? And um, have you have you
- 23:34Speaker 1: how many butts have you done? I'm sorry? How many
- 23:38Speaker 1: what like like like butts? You know? How many? How
- 23:41Speaker 1: many butts have you made up? I haven't made up
- 23:46Speaker 1: any but like are you like you mean like asses? Yeah?
- 23:50Speaker 1: I mean you could seem I'm actually doing a nude
- 23:53Speaker 1: photo shoot and uh, you know, I got a couple
- 23:55Speaker 1: of scratches and you know, some old scars on my butt,
- 23:59Speaker 1: and I you know, I could, like you said, you know,
- 24:01Speaker 1: I'm a little shy about you know, some of that.
- 24:02Speaker 1: So I was you could actually hope you can actually
- 24:05Speaker 1: make sure that those cards don't show and you know
- 24:08Speaker 1: you said you kind of um, you know, uh make
- 24:11Speaker 1: sure everything is doesn't look oily, you know what I mean.
- 24:14Speaker 1: And I just need to get my own money out. Well,
- 24:17Speaker 1: but I I didn't when I didn't understand what you're
- 24:20Speaker 1: talking about. I may not be the makeup art. I don't.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I'm not, seriously, I'm not gonna do your okay, but
- 24:26Speaker 1: I mean we're just talking about makeup though. I mean,
- 24:28Speaker 1: you know you're talking about yeah, but I'm not about
- 24:30Speaker 1: to put my makeup brushes that I use on people's
- 24:33Speaker 1: faces on your ad like to tell your photographers to
- 24:36Speaker 1: like photoshop that because okay, well that's where I'm coming
- 24:39Speaker 1: in to see you on Friday. I want you to
- 24:41Speaker 1: do everything and make me up there in the store
- 24:44Speaker 1: so I can see what it looks like. I want
- 24:46Speaker 1: to see what you were going to come into my
- 24:48Speaker 1: job and make me do your like? What are you? What? Planted?
- 24:51Speaker 1: Are you? Where? Did you think that was gonna work?
- 24:53Speaker 1: You cannot come into my job. How are you gonna
- 24:55Speaker 1: come to my job naked? Seriously? I mean well, I
- 24:58Speaker 1: was gonna wear a robe. I'm not gonna do you know,
- 25:00Speaker 1: walking there or not? Don't you even think about coming
- 25:03Speaker 1: into my job? Who referred you? Who talks? You? Need
- 25:06Speaker 1: to delete this number? Do not. I'm not about to
- 25:09Speaker 1: get this job. I just done, Okay. I don't want
- 25:13Speaker 1: to do with you. What is the problem with you doing?
- 25:17Speaker 1: What is the problem? You're doing my butt and putting
- 25:19Speaker 1: the makeup on it? Not I need to buy you
- 25:21Speaker 1: some brushes. I buy you some brushes and you can
- 25:23Speaker 1: take what I want you to buy me anything. I
- 25:25Speaker 1: don't want you coming into my job. I don't want
- 25:27Speaker 1: you calling me ever again to do any kind of work.
- 25:29Speaker 1: I'm coming in there and I'm now listen, I'm a
- 25:33Speaker 1: professional makeup artist. Clearly you don't know what that means. Solational.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Then you will take out the part that's bothering you
- 25:40Speaker 1: and do the job. Lady, you know what I mean?
- 25:42Speaker 1: If I want to clear I want to call you
- 25:46Speaker 1: before I get real ignorant, I'm not about to finish
- 25:49Speaker 1: this conversation. Do not come into my job. Do not
- 25:51Speaker 1: call me to do your That's not gonna happen. So
- 25:54Speaker 1: so so, I guess it's says to go around and
- 25:56Speaker 1: let people know that Brandy is not professional because you
- 26:00Speaker 1: can't do. My reputation is good in the streets. Boo,
- 26:03Speaker 1: you can't go around and tell anybody that I'm not
- 26:05Speaker 1: profession Nobody ever called me to be there. Get some
- 26:08Speaker 1: skincare for you? How about that? And then you won't
- 26:10Speaker 1: need any makeup? Oh no, you then you're not gonna
- 26:12Speaker 1: sit here now. So talking about my if I told
- 26:15Speaker 1: you some of my deepest secrets to let you know,
- 26:18Speaker 1: I want to come in there get some money, that's
- 26:19Speaker 1: when you're bad for telling the stranger your deepest secrets. Okay,
- 26:23Speaker 1: you know what, I'm coming up to your store anyway
- 26:25Speaker 1: on Friday, all right, and I'll talk to your boss.
- 26:27Speaker 1: I'm let them though. Don't don't let it fool you.
- 26:30Speaker 1: You heard me. Don't come in my job. Look, if
- 26:32Speaker 1: I lose my job over your foolishness, I guarantee you
- 26:35Speaker 1: will be paying on my bills. Okay, Spottom line is
- 26:37Speaker 1: I'm coming in there with my robe on Friday, somebody
- 26:40Speaker 1: gonna do my butt. You your manager, but you're not
- 26:43Speaker 1: coming in you know what? How about you come up
- 26:44Speaker 1: here right now? How can I go ahead and take
- 26:46Speaker 1: care of the situation right now? I'm here, Now can
- 26:48Speaker 1: you come right now? I'm up there right now with
- 26:49Speaker 1: my robe. Well, bring bring your butt up here right now.
- 26:53Speaker 1: We'll see if your buck gets out, I'm not doing it. Okay.
- 26:56Speaker 1: With the bottom line, who's your manager anyway? What's she? Is?
- 26:58Speaker 1: She there? I am the manager? Now what Okay? See
- 27:02Speaker 1: that's what the damn problem is. You got your little
- 27:05Speaker 1: self a little position at your job. Now you're trying
- 27:07Speaker 1: to throw your weight around if you if a person
- 27:09Speaker 1: wants to get their butt done, okay, Look do you
- 27:12Speaker 1: see avatar? The people have makeup all on they butt
- 27:16Speaker 1: all on their back and every where. Not you call them,
- 27:19Speaker 1: you call them and ask them to do your butt.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Don't call me. I'm hanging up. Do not call me anymore.
- 27:23Speaker 1: They are makeup artists. What are you look? This conversation
- 27:27Speaker 1: is over. Yeah, it's over because you know what. You
- 27:29Speaker 1: let me tell you something. You do you know who
- 27:31Speaker 1: you're talking to. Do you know who you're talking to?
- 27:33Speaker 1: Do you know who you're talking to? I know who
- 27:35Speaker 1: I'm talking to. I'm talking to Brandy, But do Brandy
- 27:38Speaker 1: know who Brandy talking to? Clearly somebody who is ignorant. Okay,
- 27:42Speaker 1: well let me tell you who I am. This is
- 27:46Speaker 1: nephew taught me from the Steve Harby Morning Show. You
- 27:49Speaker 1: just got franked by your girlfriend, Carmen. You are lie ye,
- 27:57Speaker 1: I'll get off the phone. I'll get I do that.
- 28:03Speaker 1: I hope nobody's listening. Just made I got you good.
- 28:07Speaker 1: I got you good. Good with the butt? Yeah, for real,
- 28:10Speaker 1: get you some skincare. I got one more thing. I
- 28:14Speaker 1: gotta ask you, what is the baddest And I'm talking
- 28:16Speaker 1: about the baddest radio show in the land, all the
- 28:20Speaker 1: damned Steve Harvey Morning Show. Some people need face makeup.
- 28:29Speaker 1: Some people need ass makeup. You know what, Tommy, what bad?
- 28:35Speaker 1: There are some stretch marks out there, call some old
- 28:40Speaker 1: mosquito bikes. There are some things that need to be
- 28:43Speaker 1: covered up. Okay, what do you look like when you
- 28:47Speaker 1: take them off? See you got to worry about he's
- 28:49Speaker 1: kind of thing. All right, enough of this, Thank you, nephew.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Thank you, nephew. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 28:56Speaker 1: as promised the Reverend Al Sharpton right after this. You're listening.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Our special guest is a friend of mine, a friend
- 29:07Speaker 1: of our show. He's family member. He's a Reverence civil
- 29:10Speaker 1: rights activist. He's a host of MSNBC's Politics Nation and
- 29:16Speaker 1: the founder of the National Action Network. As he promised
- 29:20Speaker 1: at George Floyd's funeral, uh, the National Action Network has
- 29:25Speaker 1: spearheaded a monumental new March on Washington that would take
- 29:29Speaker 1: place today at the Lincoln Memorial. It is appropriately theme,
- 29:34Speaker 1: get your knee off our necks, and that's the truth. Please,
- 29:38Speaker 1: welcome to the show. Our friend, Reverend Al Sharpton, good,
- 29:48Speaker 1: good talk to you. Listen to march today. It's gonna
- 29:50Speaker 1: commemorate the anniversary of doctor Martin Luther King, Juniors, I
- 29:54Speaker 1: have a dream speech in our nation's capital on August
- 29:57Speaker 1: twenty of nineteen sixty three, exactly fifty seven years ago.
- 30:02Speaker 1: In light of all the hate that's going on around
- 30:04Speaker 1: in the world. Have you prepared for today's turnout today? Well,
- 30:10Speaker 1: we prepared by telling people if they come, and many
- 30:16Speaker 1: already here gathering, that we were going to provide everybody
- 30:21Speaker 1: that didn't have a face mask for a face mask
- 30:24Speaker 1: sanitized love and would take everybody's temperashire coming in, but
- 30:29Speaker 1: thousands coming. I was amazed even last night, every hotel full.
- 30:35Speaker 1: And as important to me, Steve and family, is that
- 30:39Speaker 1: the families of those that have suffered are here to
- 30:42Speaker 1: see the support and to stand right in the Lincoln
- 30:46Speaker 1: Memorial on those steps to speak this later this morning,
- 30:50Speaker 1: right when Mona the King stood fifty seven years ago,
- 30:53Speaker 1: to say that they dream of a day that their folks,
- 30:57Speaker 1: their son, their daughters didn't die for the family of
- 31:01Speaker 1: this young man shot in the back seven times in Wisconsin,
- 31:05Speaker 1: his father and mothers week this morning, the brothers and
- 31:09Speaker 1: sisters of George Floyda here, the mother of Brianna Taylor
- 31:15Speaker 1: is here, the family of the mother of Ahmed Aubrey's here.
- 31:20Speaker 1: All of these happened this year. Unless known, we have
- 31:23Speaker 1: Eric Gander's mother, Michael Brown's mother and father, and we
- 31:27Speaker 1: want that photo to say that doctor King had a
- 31:31Speaker 1: dream that is still not realized. Here those that have
- 31:35Speaker 1: been a victim of a broken dream, we must all
- 31:39Speaker 1: come together to make these dreams come true. So we
- 31:42Speaker 1: don't want to just remember a speech and act like
- 31:45Speaker 1: that was yesterday. We still have things to do today.
- 31:48Speaker 1: And that's what everybody's here to Scanary's family saying, we've
- 31:52Speaker 1: got it straight out to criminal justice system. You know what, Reverend,
- 31:55Speaker 1: I find it quite it's almost chilling fifty seven years
- 32:01Speaker 1: ago on the day to day that we celebrate and
- 32:06Speaker 1: commemorate this great march on Washington that this is also
- 32:12Speaker 1: was the last day of the RNC. And this is
- 32:18Speaker 1: really amazing because all of this stuff that you just
- 32:21Speaker 1: mentioned that you're going to focus on, not one of
- 32:24Speaker 1: those people, not There was not one speech on behalf
- 32:29Speaker 1: of black Lives matter, not one speech on calming the
- 32:33Speaker 1: divisiveness in our nation. Do you see? How do you
- 32:38Speaker 1: see this playing out? Very well? I think it's the contrast.
- 32:42Speaker 1: You know, you and I down these years have talked
- 32:45Speaker 1: a lot about God. Only God could have had it
- 32:49Speaker 1: Where the RNC was supposed to be in Shallotte, and
- 32:53Speaker 1: it moved to Flatterer and then for whatever reason, they
- 32:57Speaker 1: decided to move the last night to Washington too, and
- 33:01Speaker 1: it's the night before this march, So it's almost like
- 33:04Speaker 1: we're bringing the victims the answer what they would not
- 33:07Speaker 1: address and we couldn't have planned that. Just like the
- 33:12Speaker 1: one thing I shouted the pandemic, people ask me, I'll come.
- 33:16Speaker 1: The whole world got shook with a George Floyd, I said,
- 33:20Speaker 1: because in the middle of the pandemic, we were all
- 33:23Speaker 1: locked down, no sports on TV, nothing but to lose,
- 33:28Speaker 1: and we watched it to try to find out where
- 33:30Speaker 1: we can get out the house, and people for the
- 33:33Speaker 1: first time start seeing over and over again this man
- 33:36Speaker 1: with the lee on their neck and a lot of
- 33:39Speaker 1: white force has never stopped to see that, and so
- 33:42Speaker 1: this is outrageous. That's why you see as many whites
- 33:44Speaker 1: and blacks marching. Sometimes God can take a bad situation
- 33:48Speaker 1: and make good come out of it if you just
- 33:51Speaker 1: don't get you God's way, and you know something, that's
- 33:55Speaker 1: exactly what I'm seeing because after watching this Republican National Convention,
- 34:01Speaker 1: watching Donald Trump, find these black people. You ain't seeing
- 34:04Speaker 1: these many black people around Donald Trump in four years.
- 34:09Speaker 1: All of a sudden, they're just coming out of nowhere.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's alarming to me. Herschel Walker, the
- 34:19Speaker 1: Attorney General down in Kentucky. And don't I don't think
- 34:23Speaker 1: this brother understands the damage he's done to himself because
- 34:26Speaker 1: now we were able to put a picture a face
- 34:30Speaker 1: to the Attorney general that won't bring charges against these
- 34:33Speaker 1: cops into Brianna Taylor. Man, I don't think this young
- 34:36Speaker 1: dude realized that while he was up there talking about
- 34:38Speaker 1: how we are to be supporting Trump. It that's got
- 34:42Speaker 1: to explain your attitude. And I just saw so much
- 34:45Speaker 1: about Blue Lives Matter, and every night they've had a
- 34:49Speaker 1: different police officer, and last night they had one of
- 34:53Speaker 1: the police, retired police captain that got killed in the protests,
- 34:58Speaker 1: and I felt sorry for his wife. But that's the
- 35:00Speaker 1: thing they showed. They don't show the cause of those
- 35:05Speaker 1: protests or anything. Yeah, but they will not show it.
- 35:10Speaker 1: And they act like we're anti police, we're anti police brutality.
- 35:14Speaker 1: We're not again police were against police that break the law.
- 35:18Speaker 1: They act like police have the right to shoot somebody
- 35:21Speaker 1: in the back seven times that had no gun. Nothing.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Now they say, well, we think he had a knife
- 35:29Speaker 1: in car, but the cop didn't have X three vision
- 35:31Speaker 1: to see what was in the car. He shot him.
- 35:34Speaker 1: We ever got in the car several times. That boy
- 35:37Speaker 1: may never walk again. Jesus, Hey revenue a hold on
- 35:41Speaker 1: one second, Hey, everybody, we'll be right back with more
- 35:43Speaker 1: al Shop Revenue House shop to run after this. You're listening, I, y'all,
- 35:50Speaker 1: We're back with a very own friend of the morning show,
- 35:53Speaker 1: Revenue Al Sharp. I had people at the funerals and
- 35:57Speaker 1: when I did the eulogy, stand up eight minutes and
- 36:00Speaker 1: forty six seconds. And people told me that watching on TV, said,
- 36:04Speaker 1: you know, I stood up and after two or three minutes,
- 36:07Speaker 1: I couldn't stand no more. How did that man have
- 36:10Speaker 1: the strength to just press down on that man's next
- 36:13Speaker 1: for eight minutes and forty six seconds unless he was
- 36:16Speaker 1: full of hate? But what I mean, what gives you
- 36:19Speaker 1: the energy to do that? Eight minutes and forty six
- 36:22Speaker 1: seconds is a long time to be bending down on somebody.
- 36:26Speaker 1: And that's what the kind of police we're against. We're
- 36:28Speaker 1: not against police. The question is where are the police
- 36:32Speaker 1: above the law? That's all we ask. They can't en
- 36:34Speaker 1: boss the law. They're not gonna buy by the law. Wow,
- 36:39Speaker 1: right there, let's let's stay right there for just one second.
- 36:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna let you go because this is something I've
- 36:45Speaker 1: been saying on the radio, and I'm happy you bought
- 36:47Speaker 1: this up. I think the solution one of them, one
- 36:51Speaker 1: of the solutions for this. First of all, the police
- 36:54Speaker 1: training has to be refamed. But I just don't understand
- 37:00Speaker 1: how you having a badge gives you the right to
- 37:06Speaker 1: determine whether a person lives or dies today. And if
- 37:11Speaker 1: we pay you through our taxpaying dollars to uphold the law,
- 37:15Speaker 1: should you not also have to be answered to the
- 37:19Speaker 1: same law that you're paid to a whold. If I
- 37:21Speaker 1: shoot a man seven times in the back, already know
- 37:25Speaker 1: I'm going to prison. If I choke a man to death,
- 37:29Speaker 1: I know I'm going to prison. If I kill a
- 37:31Speaker 1: person that I thought had a cell phone, I'm going
- 37:34Speaker 1: to prison and I know it. But the police, they
- 37:37Speaker 1: don't have to live by the same laws that they're
- 37:40Speaker 1: paged the whole until we have mandatory police sensens where
- 37:44Speaker 1: they get sentenced the same way civilians get sentenced. I think, man,
- 37:48Speaker 1: this is crazy. I think this is crazy. Brother. I
- 37:51Speaker 1: know you right that bot Why we watch today with
- 37:54Speaker 1: this George Floyd Policing and Justice Act, which says exactly
- 37:59Speaker 1: that has already passed the House of Representatives. If senators
- 38:03Speaker 1: got to pass the twenty senators up this year and
- 38:06Speaker 1: they don't see the numbers today that we're gonna put
- 38:08Speaker 1: people around the country saying, if you don't vote for
- 38:11Speaker 1: this act, we're not voting for you. We've got to
- 38:14Speaker 1: really do what we've got to do to protect ourselves.
- 38:17Speaker 1: They keep talking about we need we all have a
- 38:20Speaker 1: conversation with our children. So we need to have a
- 38:23Speaker 1: conversation with the country. Why do we have to explain
- 38:26Speaker 1: to our children why they treated differently. No, we need
- 38:28Speaker 1: to explain to y'all that we need to have equal
- 38:31Speaker 1: protection under the law. Period. In the story, Man Revenew
- 38:37Speaker 1: absolutely best man, Thank you so much, brother love hey Man,
- 38:42Speaker 1: thank you very much. Man, Hey, that was a Revenew
- 38:45Speaker 1: shop and everybody, you know. The thing I enjoy about
- 38:48Speaker 1: reveneww is he's always on point. That's right. We'll be
- 38:51Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 38:54Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right, listen, how
- 39:01Speaker 1: many more days left before voting? What is it now?
- 39:04Speaker 1: Sixty seven days? I think it's sixty seven? Wow, I
- 39:10Speaker 1: can't believe it. Can I can I tell these devoted
- 39:15Speaker 1: you know what, y'all because we talk about it before
- 39:18Speaker 1: we go on the air. In the mornings, right, we
- 39:21Speaker 1: talked about what we saw on TV last night. We
- 39:25Speaker 1: were talking and the Republican National Convention. It was disheartening.
- 39:31Speaker 1: It was really really disheartening because I've never seen such
- 39:36Speaker 1: a large group of people totally ignore the biggest issue
- 39:44Speaker 1: outside of coronavirus in this country today. Now, the reason
- 39:49Speaker 1: coronavirus is number one because it affects every single life,
- 39:54Speaker 1: whether you want to or not. Now, Black Lives Matter
- 39:58Speaker 1: is not affecting everybody's life because they on on to
- 40:00Speaker 1: they just ignore like it's not happening. But for this
- 40:02Speaker 1: to be an administration of a country and to not
- 40:06Speaker 1: once acknowledge the hurt that has to be going on
- 40:10Speaker 1: in our community over what's happening to our people. You know,
- 40:15Speaker 1: the only person I saw even try to address it
- 40:19Speaker 1: was Ben Carson, and then he messed it all up
- 40:24Speaker 1: a little bit later on in his speech. I said, Wow,
- 40:27Speaker 1: this dude is trying to get somebody to prepare attention
- 40:30Speaker 1: to this. But the entire convention ignored us. Man. They
- 40:34Speaker 1: ignored everything about Black Lives Matter. They have ignored everything
- 40:39Speaker 1: about the future of US country with coronavirus, and y'all,
- 40:44Speaker 1: we can't do this again. We've got to vote like
- 40:48Speaker 1: our lives depend on it, because they do. It does
- 40:52Speaker 1: and they stood up in Michelle. Obama said, we have
- 40:57Speaker 1: to have some urgency of this coming election. We have
- 41:02Speaker 1: to vote early. We have to plan for it. I
- 41:04Speaker 1: keep saying that. I know it sounds crazy, but you
- 41:07Speaker 1: got to plan for it. You gotta lay your clothes out,
- 41:10Speaker 1: you gotta because because we do that and everything else
- 41:15Speaker 1: that's important to us. You know, we take the time
- 41:17Speaker 1: to plan this is very important as well. We have
- 41:20Speaker 1: to plan for this. I just hope it's important to
- 41:23Speaker 1: the younger generation. Well, but you know what, time especially. Yeah,
- 41:28Speaker 1: I'm concerned about the older people too. I'm just concerned
- 41:33Speaker 1: about everybody taking this thing seriously, man, because of the
- 41:38Speaker 1: efforts that the Republicans are doing to suppress our vote.
- 41:43Speaker 1: When they took all those mailboxes out, they took them
- 41:46Speaker 1: out of out of Democratic precincts. When they took all
- 41:51Speaker 1: those mail sorting machines out, it was to slow the
- 41:54Speaker 1: mail down. When they condisce and shut down all those
- 41:59Speaker 1: polling places sixteen to turn it into one that was
- 42:03Speaker 1: to frustrate you at the polls. Yeah, man, they're doing everything,
- 42:08Speaker 1: y'all you're right. That's been going on for generations, Steve, generations.
- 42:12Speaker 1: They want you to think that your vote doesn't matter.
- 42:16Speaker 1: And you know people just feel like that. Yeah, and
- 42:20Speaker 1: that's what If your vote doesn't matter, why they trying
- 42:23Speaker 1: so hard, Why they try so hard so you not
- 42:26Speaker 1: to vote. You got to think about these things. They
- 42:29Speaker 1: think about mailboxes. Yes, they're closing, Yeah, they're closing polls.
- 42:36Speaker 1: They're doing all kinds of stuff to suppress your vote.
- 42:40Speaker 1: You matter, your vote matters. Okay, you've got to get
- 42:44Speaker 1: to the polls. If you have not registered. We say
- 42:47Speaker 1: this every day, several times a day. Go to vote
- 42:51Speaker 1: for one one dot org. Vote for one one dot org.
- 42:56Speaker 1: You can find out where your polling places. You can
- 42:58Speaker 1: find out when you can early vote, and wear all
- 43:02Speaker 1: of that. Okay, you gotta do this this year. Your
- 43:05Speaker 1: life depends on. Oh give it. Dann were said, I'm going,
- 43:08Speaker 1: I don't care, I'm getting there. Yeah. Hey, and listen,
- 43:13Speaker 1: and we need everybody just playing it on voting. To
- 43:16Speaker 1: make sure all of your relatives, all of your friends,
- 43:20Speaker 1: all of your neighbors are voting. Man, this is not
- 43:24Speaker 1: the time. I don't care if you live in the projects.
- 43:27Speaker 1: The suburbs, the penthouses behind gates. We have got to
- 43:32Speaker 1: go vote for the for the regular people out here
- 43:35Speaker 1: who these policies will affect to the point of detriment.
- 43:40Speaker 1: We got to get to these polls. Man. That's right,
- 43:43Speaker 1: all right. Coming up next, we're gonna switch gears here.
- 43:46Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy is here with today's praying phone call. We'll
- 43:50Speaker 1: get get into it right after this. You're listening. Coming
- 43:56Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, guys, right about
- 43:58Speaker 1: four minutes after it's my aberry letter forward today, the
- 44:01Speaker 1: last one of the week, the subject I wish his
- 44:05Speaker 1: wife would leave us alone? I mean nerve? Was she doing?
- 44:14Speaker 1: Checking on nerve? What is going on? We'll find out
- 44:19Speaker 1: in just a minute. But first the nephew is here
- 44:22Speaker 1: with today's prank phone call. What you got for his nev?
- 44:26Speaker 1: I left my ring, I left my ring cat dog.
- 44:37Speaker 1: If you would hello, I'm trying to reach a mister,
- 44:42Speaker 1: mister missus please all right. My name is doctor. I'm
- 44:47Speaker 1: actually trying to reach your husband, Clarence. Is he Is
- 44:50Speaker 1: he available? I have to check? Is that reason you're colin? Well,
- 44:55Speaker 1: I'm actually the surgeon that actually did the procedure on
- 44:58Speaker 1: removing his gallstone. How's he doing as any complications thus far?
- 45:03Speaker 1: Well more complications? Okay, well listen, Uh, there's a couple
- 45:08Speaker 1: little bit of things I want to discuss with you
- 45:10Speaker 1: guys and see if we can maybe get him rectified.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Is he around? Oh? Actually, actually, when we actually did
- 45:23Speaker 1: the procedure on your on your husband and removing the
- 45:25Speaker 1: gall stones, who, I will say that there's a bit
- 45:28Speaker 1: of a mistake made and I'm hoping that he can
- 45:30Speaker 1: come back in so we can kind of get it rectified.
- 45:33Speaker 1: You know, it'll be actually thirty minutes and he'll be
- 45:35Speaker 1: in and out. But actually, when I removed the gall stones,
- 45:38Speaker 1: and I'm very embarrassed to say that I actually left
- 45:42Speaker 1: my wedding ring inside your huss And I understand, man,
- 45:49Speaker 1: I say, I actually left my wedding ring inside your
- 45:52Speaker 1: husband when I actually removed the gall stones. And I'm
- 45:54Speaker 1: hoping that he'll come back in so I can actually
- 45:57Speaker 1: take it out and he'll be on his way. It's
- 46:00Speaker 1: my last bold man, let me take it. What yeah, hello, hello, hello, mister, yeah,
- 46:22Speaker 1: how are you doing? This? Is doctor who I actually
- 46:23Speaker 1: did the surgery on you when you were came in
- 46:26Speaker 1: and got your gall stones removed. I remember you that.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I will say this, mister Clarence. I actually made a
- 46:32Speaker 1: bit of a mistake when you were here, and my apology.
- 46:34Speaker 1: If I can actually get you come back in, man,
- 46:37Speaker 1: I can get you taken care of. But and then
- 46:40Speaker 1: this is just a big mistake on my part. But
- 46:42Speaker 1: when you guys came in and I remove your stones,
- 46:44Speaker 1: I actually left my wedding ring inside inside of me. Yes, yes, yes, sir,
- 46:50Speaker 1: your wedding ring. Sir. I know this is crazy, but yes,
- 46:54Speaker 1: I have truly made a mistake and want to see
- 46:56Speaker 1: if I can get this thing rectified and get this
- 46:58Speaker 1: thing taken out. And and I tell you, man, I've
- 47:01Speaker 1: been without my ring and my wife is raising holy
- 47:04Speaker 1: hell about it. Yeah, but you know something, doctor, we
- 47:06Speaker 1: got a problem with What do you mean I mean,
- 47:09Speaker 1: I'm about to go back to work. I really can't
- 47:11Speaker 1: be going back into the operated room for somebody to
- 47:14Speaker 1: take a ring out of me that they left, that
- 47:17Speaker 1: they left. Bad mistake, you know what I'm saying. Okay,
- 47:20Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I realize your wife might be
- 47:22Speaker 1: upset and you need your ring, but at this point
- 47:25Speaker 1: that ring's gonna have to stay where it is. For
- 47:26Speaker 1: a while. So I can't. I honestly can't allow but
- 47:29Speaker 1: that ring to stay there another two or three days.
- 47:31Speaker 1: I don't think you understand exactly what I'm going through.
- 47:33Speaker 1: There's no way I can allow that. Yeah, I got
- 47:37Speaker 1: to go back to work. But you know something, I
- 47:39Speaker 1: mean you know, I mean, you know we're talking about
- 47:41Speaker 1: a bad, bad, serious problem. You know we're talking about
- 47:43Speaker 1: mal practice. I mean you know we're talking about me
- 47:45Speaker 1: taking out more time and work when I'm ready to
- 47:47Speaker 1: go back. I mean, you know, we're talking law suit
- 47:49Speaker 1: all kind of stuff. Yeah, we need to get together.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Can you hear me that? Yeah? Yeah, you need to
- 47:55Speaker 1: come over here. Okay, my wife's upset too. I mean,
- 48:01Speaker 1: you know I can't get back on an operating tape, sir.
- 48:04Speaker 1: This won't take for seconds. It's actually for me to
- 48:06Speaker 1: snip that thing and get that ring out of there.
- 48:07Speaker 1: It won't take but a minute. I mean, you still
- 48:09Speaker 1: have the same incisions there. I can go right back
- 48:12Speaker 1: into what the same scar was and take that out
- 48:14Speaker 1: and keep it moving. Go back into the same and
- 48:17Speaker 1: you're gonna operate again. If you're cutting me over, sir,
- 48:20Speaker 1: I promise you you won't even know I was there.
- 48:21Speaker 1: I'll go in there and take that ring out, just
- 48:23Speaker 1: that quick claw. Okay, but but let me ask you this. Yere,
- 48:27Speaker 1: my wife, and my wife is about to go crazy.
- 48:28Speaker 1: I'm I'm pretty I'm a pretty good guy here. But
- 48:31Speaker 1: I mean, you know you got left for ringing. Man.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I mean, you know, do you all have mal practice insurance?
- 48:35Speaker 1: And sir, we have plenty of insurance. You know, it's
- 48:38Speaker 1: really more about what I'm going through at home. So
- 48:41Speaker 1: I'm doing this for years. Yeah, pretty much here at
- 48:43Speaker 1: this point, I mean, no one actually from the hospital
- 48:45Speaker 1: actually knows that I'm actually calling you. Wow, you know,
- 48:49Speaker 1: I mean, that's a big, big problem. You said something
- 48:52Speaker 1: about mal practice. No, I didn't say anything about mal practice.
- 48:55Speaker 1: You guys actually said that. I didn't say anything. Okay,
- 48:57Speaker 1: now let me okay, hold on now, drs hold on.
- 49:02Speaker 1: Uh well, now let me ask you. This's here. Every
- 49:05Speaker 1: time I've heard of somebody leaving something inside of somebody,
- 49:07Speaker 1: you know, it usually end up being a situation where
- 49:10Speaker 1: it sets up infections and stuff. Well, that's that's an
- 49:13Speaker 1: eighteen carrec goal. That's not going to infect you at all. Yeah,
- 49:16Speaker 1: I understand what you're saying, but good grief. I mean,
- 49:19Speaker 1: I just I mean, I didn't even want to do
- 49:21Speaker 1: the first surgery, but I didn't have any choice. You
- 49:23Speaker 1: know what, I'll be honest with you. I tried to
- 49:26Speaker 1: talk to you and be patient with you. If I
- 49:28Speaker 1: gotta come over and put some core form up against
- 49:31Speaker 1: your nose and knock you out in order to perform
- 49:33Speaker 1: this procedure to get my ring, then damn it, that's
- 49:35Speaker 1: what I gotta do. Oh, hold on that. That what
- 49:38Speaker 1: I'm supposed to be doing. Why are you doing that?
- 49:40Speaker 1: You hear that? Do you what he said? Yeah? Come on,
- 49:45Speaker 1: you know I'm not gonna stand for these threats. Now.
- 49:48Speaker 1: You know that's your problem with your ring. Now. You know,
- 49:50Speaker 1: up until now everything was cool. Now you got a
- 49:53Speaker 1: big problem. I tell you it's here. I'm at home
- 49:57Speaker 1: right now. You're at home with my ring. You got
- 49:59Speaker 1: my ring? You come getting right now? The way? No, okay,
- 50:04Speaker 1: now I don't. I don't have a problem coming right
- 50:06Speaker 1: over there to get my ring because I want I
- 50:08Speaker 1: need my ring back. Let's do it. Come on over.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Why want we got something for you? Down? Hey, listen,
- 50:15Speaker 1: I don't care what the both of you are doing.
- 50:17Speaker 1: The bottom line is that you have my ring. I
- 50:19Speaker 1: got your ring. You just told me I had it,
- 50:21Speaker 1: then it's inside of me. Well, i's don't say, sir,
- 50:24Speaker 1: I'm not gonna continue to go back and forth with you.
- 50:26Speaker 1: You're not gonna continue to do anything because you come
- 50:28Speaker 1: over here, I'm gonna kick you out. You're already threatened
- 50:31Speaker 1: to come over here and put Plora from them and
- 50:32Speaker 1: no locking me out to go in the side of
- 50:35Speaker 1: my body to come over here. Doctor, got problems. I'll
- 50:37Speaker 1: tell you what. I don't want any problems out of
- 50:39Speaker 1: your wife or out of you. Think it's only gonna
- 50:43Speaker 1: take thirty minutes and everybody'll be happy after that. You
- 50:45Speaker 1: won't make it back compan down. I understand everything you say.
- 50:49Speaker 1: I got one more thing I need to say to
- 50:50Speaker 1: the both of you all. Are you listening to me?
- 50:52Speaker 1: I'm listening. It's doors listening. No, not really read tune
- 50:56Speaker 1: you out. Well, where's the last thing I need to

- 51:35Speaker 1: You all right? And Miss Dard? I got one more
- 51:40Speaker 1: thing that What is the Baddest Radio Show in the

- 53:53Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew, subject I
- 53:57Speaker 1: wish his wife would leave us alone. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 54:04Speaker 1: I'm a forty something single female and my boyfriend is
- 54:07Speaker 1: sixty nine years old. When we first started dating, he
- 54:11Speaker 1: was my sugar daddy and he paid my mortgage, my
- 54:14Speaker 1: car note, and sent me on vacation several times a year.
- 54:18Speaker 1: But it wasn't all of the money or the gifts
- 54:20Speaker 1: that got me so hooked on him dot dot It
- 54:24Speaker 1: was the sex. This man is the best I've ever had,
- 54:29Speaker 1: and he does not need any enhancements to get aroused.
- 54:33Speaker 1: We've been together for five years, so I was shocked
- 54:36Speaker 1: when he carelessly left his phone at home. Recently, he
- 54:39Speaker 1: was at my house and we were watching a movie
- 54:42Speaker 1: when his wife called me to let me know he
- 54:44Speaker 1: had left his phone at home. She told me that
- 54:48Speaker 1: she hopes I was enjoying him because it would be
- 54:50Speaker 1: the last time I was going to see him. I
- 54:53Speaker 1: put him on the phone and he sat quietly while
- 54:56Speaker 1: she cursed him out, and then he left. The Next day,
- 55:00Speaker 1: his wife called to see if he was at my
- 55:02Speaker 1: house because he told her he was going to the
- 55:04Speaker 1: car wash. I told her he was at the car
- 55:07Speaker 1: wash getting my lexus washed that he pays for. She
- 55:12Speaker 1: hung up. That really got him in hot water with her,
- 55:17Speaker 1: and he told me he couldn't see me anymore. Why
- 55:19Speaker 1: did I have to go there with his wife because
- 55:21Speaker 1: now she's my relationship. Messed up my relationship with him.
- 55:26Speaker 1: They have been married for thirty eight years, so he's
- 55:29Speaker 1: tired of her. He told me that she let herself
- 55:32Speaker 1: go over the years and won't have sex with him,
- 55:34Speaker 1: so why block his happiness. She's called a few more
- 55:37Speaker 1: times to ask how long we've been together and if
- 55:40Speaker 1: he ever said he loves me. I told her to
- 55:42Speaker 1: leave us alone and let us be. It's been three
- 55:46Speaker 1: weeks since I've seen him, but he still calls her
- 55:48Speaker 1: Texas daily. Should I move on or wait for him
- 55:51Speaker 1: to come back to me? What do you want from us? Really?
- 55:56Speaker 1: You've been dating and having an affair with a married
- 55:59Speaker 1: man for five years, and in your mind, regardless if
- 56:02Speaker 1: he had a wife or kids or whatever, you've been
- 56:05Speaker 1: having a great life with you, sugar daddy. You know,
- 56:07Speaker 1: he pays your bills, your mortgage, your wrench or carnot,
- 56:11Speaker 1: sends you on trips, all of that, and then here
- 56:15Speaker 1: she comes wifey with her worrisome behind, calling, bothering you
- 56:19Speaker 1: guys and stuff. I mean, the nerve of her right,
- 56:22Speaker 1: they've only been married for thirty eight years. Who does
- 56:25Speaker 1: she think she is? Oh? Does she think she is?
- 56:28Speaker 1: She's just the wife? I mean, really, I think that's
- 56:32Speaker 1: your stank, disrespectful, entitled attitude. Do I have that right,
- 56:36Speaker 1: you ask us, Yeah, you ask us, You ask us,
- 56:40Speaker 1: should you move on or wait for him to come
- 56:42Speaker 1: back to you? Well, it's been three weeks. He calls
- 56:46Speaker 1: in Texas, but it doesn't sound like he's coming back,
- 56:50Speaker 1: not anytime soon anyway. And whether he does or not,
- 56:53Speaker 1: I don't really care, because I just don't like how
- 56:55Speaker 1: cold and unsympathetic you were to his wife when she called.
- 56:59Speaker 1: I just think that was wrong of you. I mean,
- 57:01Speaker 1: you know how the game goes. You are the side piece.
- 57:04Speaker 1: I don't care. You've been the side piece for five years.
- 57:07Speaker 1: So because she didn't, you know, uh, stay in her
- 57:11Speaker 1: lane and called you and everything, you got mad and
- 57:16Speaker 1: went in on her and then you got him in trouble,
- 57:18Speaker 1: so you lost him. I mean I think you lost
- 57:21Speaker 1: your man. You lost him in the Great Sex and
- 57:24Speaker 1: all that. So that's it. I don't care, you know whatever, whatever, Steve, Okay, sure,
- 57:31Speaker 1: I really I'm kinda with surely on this. H What
- 57:36Speaker 1: do you want us to say? Everything in this Atlanta wrong,
- 57:40Speaker 1: ain't no right, They ain't no right in the Aleta
- 57:44Speaker 1: but the beginning, I'm forty single female, my boyfriend sixty
- 57:49Speaker 1: nine right there? Who right there at thirty years. That's
- 57:54Speaker 1: wrong at thirty years thirty thirty eight, alardy your difference.
- 58:01Speaker 1: I almost promise you he ain't got thirty years left.
- 58:11Speaker 1: If I'm a gambling man, I just don't say he
- 58:16Speaker 1: gonna get there. All right. He was your sugar daddy
- 58:21Speaker 1: paid for everything. Then you trying to tell us what
- 58:24Speaker 1: you got him so hooked on you was to set
- 58:27Speaker 1: y'all been dating for five years, according to this letter.
- 58:31Speaker 1: So he started at sixty four. He's sixty nine, all right,
- 58:35Speaker 1: he don't use no mail enhancers whatever. Five years. Then
- 58:39Speaker 1: he left his phone at home recently. You know why,
- 58:42Speaker 1: because he's sixty nine. His old ass for got it.
- 58:47Speaker 1: He drove out that damn. This is the beginning of
- 58:51Speaker 1: where this relationship is. D oh. It starts with leaving
- 58:56Speaker 1: the phone. Then he gonna forget what he left his car.
- 59:02Speaker 1: Then he ain't gonna remember where you stay. Then ain't
- 59:06Speaker 1: gonna lose and forget. His wife's name is called dementia,
- 59:10Speaker 1: and he damned the head of there. And it starts
- 59:13Speaker 1: with the phone. I'm just telling me now, all right, okay,
- 59:19Speaker 1: you know you're watching the movie. Then you know he
- 59:21Speaker 1: doesn't We've been together five years so I was shocked
- 59:26Speaker 1: when he carelessly left his phone at home. I'm telling
- 59:29Speaker 1: he forgotten. He was at my house y'all watching the movie.
- 59:33Speaker 1: His wife called me to let me know he had
- 59:36Speaker 1: left the phone at home. She told me that she
- 59:40Speaker 1: hopens I was enjoying him, because he gonna be last
- 59:42Speaker 1: time you seen. Then you put him on the phone.
- 59:46Speaker 1: He said that quietly while she cussed him out. He
- 59:49Speaker 1: took it like a man, and then he left. Next day,
- 59:54Speaker 1: his wife called to see if he was at my
- 59:56Speaker 1: house because he said he was going to watch the
- 59:58Speaker 1: Car Closer. Part two of seas Response coming up in
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. I wish his wife
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: would leave us alone. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Steve, Come on, let's
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject I wish his wife would
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: leave us alone. Sixty nine years old, she forty thirty
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: years difference. Then, all right, his sex is great, he boys, stuff,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: call payment, rit mortgage, everything, everything going good. Now this
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: seventy started to catch up with his hands. He getting
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: careless now, he leaving stuffy, started with leaving stuff. Then
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: next thing you know, he's gonna be repeating on the self.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: It's all it's all just coming together, and I'm just
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: letting her know that's what it's coming now. He's sitting
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: up here, and he started with he leaving stuff. He'd
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: left his phone at the house, y'all sitting up watching
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: the movie. His wife called you and said, I hope
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: you enjoyed him, because it's the last time you was
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: gonna see you put him on the phone. He said
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: that quietly while she cussed him out. Did he got him? Left? Now?
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: The next day after he left, his wife called to
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: see if he was at my house because he told
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: her he was going to the car wash. Now she
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: needs Joe help because she old too. Now she needs
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Joe help tracking his old ass because both of them
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: got dementia and trying to work through it now calling
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: you at your house. I told her he was at
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: the car wash getting my Lexus watch that he pays for.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: She hung up. What you want you telling that? You
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: stupid lady, You stupid. You don't even know how to
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: play the game. That really he got him in hot water,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: and he told me he couldn't see you anymore. Why
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: did I have to go there with his wife, because
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: now she's messing up my relationship with him. They've been
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: married thirty eight years, so he tied to her. He
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: told me she left her to go. She excuse me.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: He told me that she left, let herself go over
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: the years and won't have sex with him, So why
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: block his happiness now? She didn't called you a few
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: more times to ask Kyle Longe we the brother because
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: she need information because she don't know how to go
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: on Facebook or nothing, because she old. I'm telling you,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: these old people swinging on each other. Eventually this is
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: gonna lead to a fight. And y'all, this is gonna
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: be the slowest fight I've ever seen. Film it for us. Please.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: He never said he loves me, because he don't. He
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: loved her. I told her to leave us alone and
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: let us be Wait a minute, can I can I
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: tell you something? Side pieces don't make the rules. You
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: call her and told her leave us alone. I'm gonna
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: tell you why high is working. It's been three weeks
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: and you've seen it. You know why she told you.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: She told you the time before, and enjoy him now
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: because this the last time you're gonna see him. Guess
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: what your latter say, it's been three weeks since I've
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: seen oldest can't take his ass over your house, Clara,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: because Claid Clara Claire. Oldest can't come over that no
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: more because Claire told him. You're not going over Shamika house.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: No damn more. You got a young ass man because
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: you forty, so you should make but Claire and oldest
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: see O'Neil. Oh, my god, should I move on a
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: way for him to come back to me? Come back
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: to me, lady. Didn't you hear the ladies say he
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: ain't coming over the animal? Didn't you not say it's
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: been three weeks since you've seen him? Do you not understand?
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: The side pieces don't make rules? Oh? Wow, side pieces
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: don't make no rules. Wow. No, the man tells you
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: the rules that his wife then laid out for him.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: You can go play poke on Wednesday night. That's your night. Hm.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: But Steve, I got I gotta ask you about that. Oh,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I can't wait to answer sixty nine that old she
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: didn't she she loved the sex with no enhancement. You
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: get aroused. Yeah, that's probably that's okay. Oh, some men
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: don't need nothing, Okay, Yeah, that's real that's very true.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Oh she didn't had some sorry as sets. She doesn't
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: to know. Oh yeah, oh she has some real bad
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: sector before and think this in Uh, that could happen too,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: depend on who you've been with. But I'm telling you
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: right now, these old people right here, he going through
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: some things. He can't come back over there. Yeah it's over.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: It's a rap because this who gonna go to the
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: tape with him? Because he know he on see you
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: you just you were just sitting over here. You just
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: saw the phone missing. She know everything. He walking rooms.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Forgive why he went in Now he's sitting up there
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: watching TV. Ain't got no draws on, oldest, go in
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: there and put your pajamas on. Oh I ain't even
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: know it. See she and she been with just man
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: thirty eight years. He's been sick. She did took care
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: of him. You're not fit to get huge. He got
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: him nice too. Oh you can't even see the top
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: right there. He got three different kind of eyeglasses for
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: reading books, wof for just looking and woe for reading prescriptions.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: All right, well, listen. Post your comments on Today's Strawberry
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Letter at Steve Harvey FM, on Instagram and Facebook. Don't
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: forget to check out the Strawberry Letter podcast Done Demand two.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Coming up at forty six minutes after the hour, our
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: friend ESPN Stephen A. Smith is coming up to talk
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: about black athletes leading the charge for racial justice. Right
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey, y'all, listen, listen.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Our good friend is back with us this morning. He
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: is the star of ESPs First Take, my favorite sports
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: show on Earth, and he uh and he's also the
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: star of the Stephen A. Smith Show on ESPN Radio. Well,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: we want to get his first take on what promoted
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: the NBA boycott, what resolution the players have come to
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: since the outside of the boycott. He's gonna give us
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: a little insight on what's going I don't have to
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: ask him nothing. He gonna give it to us, ladies
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: and gentlemen. My dog wanted only, Oh sci fi stephen A. Smith,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: that's for you. Welcome to what's going on? What's going on?
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Wonderful to hear from y'all. I hope y'all and y'all
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: loved ones are all great during these crazy times. I
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: want to make one correction, Steve, I gave up my
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: radio show. A few months ago, I negotiated a new
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: multi year deal that calls for me not just to
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: be on the air, but to executive produce content for
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: ESPN Plus through my production company as well. That I
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: just jump started. I'm going to Steven congratula. That's called
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: the game the exit plan. Yeah yeah, yeah. But if
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: I start winning, MOI will well, Stephen, they give it
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: to us. Man. What's going on with the NBA boycott? Well, well,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: the NBA players are backed. They met Thursday and they've
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: elected to continue the season, uh and play the games.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Or what happened was is that the Milwaukee Bucks, because
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: of the shooting of Missus Jacob Blake and Kenosha, Wisconsin.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: It was right near Milwaukee, and the Milwaukee Bucks felt
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: a lot of pressure to really really respond to it.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: They were pauled, obviously, as most of us does not
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: all of us were by the shooting of yet another
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: unawed black man, and so they wanted to speak up.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Where people got a bit confused is that when the
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: Milwaukee Bucks decided not to play, they didn't coordinate with
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: anyone because they weren't asking anyone to join them. They
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: felt so compelled to do something thing that the Milwaukee
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: Bucks were going to forfeit their playoff game to the
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Orlando Magic just to make a statement on behalf of
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: the shooting. What happened is Orlando found out about it, obviously,
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: and they decided to join the Milwaukee Bucks. Houston and
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Oksey was supposed to play later that afternoon. They decided
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: to join the Milwaukee Bucks. And the Lakers and the
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Potland Trailblazers found out about it, and they were going
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: to be the Nightcap and they decided to join the
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Milwaukee Bucks. In the aftermath of all of that, there
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: was a meeting that took place at at eight pm
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: on Wednesday evening. Hey, Steven, a whole tight, the whole tight,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: right there, man, We'll be back with Mark stephen A.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Smith right after this. You're listening, all right, We're back
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: with my main man, friend and family are stephen A. Smith.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: A lot of players were arguing amongst one another in
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: terms of where do we go from here? And that
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: was the thing that frustrated the hell out of Lebron
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: James because he he has this more than a vote
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: movement that he's got going on, really trying to push
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: people to the polls and to get them to make
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: sure they vote in that their vote counts. So he's
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: been pushing that. So he doesn't like the fact that
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: they're appeared to be no plan, no coordinative plan of action,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: those things of that nature, and he ultimately ended up
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: storming out of the room. When he stormed out of
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: the room on Wednesday night, what happened was before he departed,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: all thirty teams voted on whether or not the season
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: should continue. All but two elected to play. The two
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: teams that said we don't want to play, we don't
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: want to continue with the season was the Los Angeles
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Clippers and the Los Angeles Lakers, and their mentality is
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: we're the two prohibitive favorite. Lebron is an iconic figure
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: in this game. And in my estimation that Lebron and
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: the Lakers weren't playing and Kawhi and the Clippers weren't playing,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: you have thereby deal legitimized the NBA playoffs, because whatever
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: champion is crowned, nobody for one second is going to
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: believe that that is a legit championship. The NBA recognized this,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: and the NBA was up in the tisney because on
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: one end, they've already lost billions of dollars because the
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: season of pandemics stalled. The season number two, they dedicated
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: two hundred plus million dollars to build the bubble for
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: these guys to play in where everything was okay and
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: the players had collectively bargained and agreed to do this
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: and thoroughly and more importantly, the owners were saying to me,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: stephen A. The league was saying to me, stephen A.
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Team executives were saying to me, stephen A, what are
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: we supposed to do? We understand what they're feeling. We
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: can't possibly put ourselves in the shoes of young black men.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: The flip side to it is that the league have
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: not We've been their partners, we've been their supporters. We
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: support Black Lives Matter, we support their positions, we support
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: them speaking out. We've committed three hundred million dollars over
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: the next ten years to various social justice courses. We've
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: done all of this. Why are they taking this action
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: when all it's going to hurt is their pockets and
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: clearly our pockets, when we're in this together to try
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: to overcome what's going on out here in the streets
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: of America with law enforcement official and black men. What
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: are we supposed to do? So that's the term all
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: that's been going on over the last thirty six hours
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: or so. But ultimately they met and the players agreed
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: to go back to work and continue these playoffs. It's expected,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: not it's not extant, stone, it's not official yet, but
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: the playoffs service it's scheduled, are expected to resume rather
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: this Saturday, first game being in Toronto Raptors versus the
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: Boston Celtics, and it we'll all go from there. I
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: get it, now, you know what I thought? Well, I mean,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: we'll explain. Of course, none of us knew this, Thank
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: you so much it. I do think that when Milwaukee,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: what I didn't know was Howard started. Milwaukee was willing
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: to forfeit their game, correct, and that would have given
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: the other team, what was it, Orlando, Yeah, yeah, series,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: that would have made it three too. Yeah, Orlando would
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: have had a victory, right, yes, correct. But they joined in,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: which I thought was like super of the rest of
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: the league. And I'm glad they canceled those games for
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: the day. They made a really really valid point and
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: I think message well taken in so now at this point,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: it's where do we go from here? I think we
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: just got to get back to the business of voting
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: right now. I was very surprised when you said that
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: the two teams that didn't want to play with the
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: Clippers and the Lakers, and you know, but Lebron is
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: an activist too many and and and and a real
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: important voice out there. So but but you know, let's
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: let's just get people to the polls from here. Man,
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: I thought you gotta get them to the polls. There's
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: no question about, man, we understand how important this election is. Uh,
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: there is no denying that. The flip side to it
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: is that I've been on the players to make sure
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: that you have a plan along the way. And you've
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: asked that question, and I've asked that question. And here's
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: the reason why. Oh boy, hold on, hold on, stephen
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: A right there. We'll be right back. Hold on, man,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: we'll be right back with more stephen A. Smith right
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, We're back. You know who's here.
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: It's stephen A. Smith here. It is. When the NBA
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: asked what do you want us to do? What can
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: we do? You have to have an answer to that question.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: They've already dedicated three hundred million dollars, they plan on
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: dedicating even more. Where do you want the money to go?
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: What purpose do you want it to serve? Are you
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: interested in addressing Congress so federal legislation can be enacted
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: to make it a federal hate crime to for police
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: officers to shoot unarmed the black men or unarmed the
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: men period? What else do you want do you want
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: us to address the state legislature? Do you want it
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: to adjust to address local officials? What exactly is it
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: that you want done? Because you have to have a plan,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: and then when you're the owners, we also have to
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: appreciate the fact that this is a very very fair
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: question to ask. We also have to understand that we
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: can't disseminate a message that all police officers are bad.
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: We just have to encourage those police officers who are
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: fulfilling their duties to protect and serve, to hold the
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: role of officers accountable, and assist in holding the role
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: of officers accountable. So if you do that kind of stuff,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: that's what it comes down to for me. And the
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: other thing is is that again, I don't know of
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: any black movement that has never involved economic empowerment chess
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: instead of checks sometimes, and unfortunately we don't do that
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: enough as a community, and that is what bothers me,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Steven A. Smith well said, stephen A. Smith,
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: We love you boy. Appreciation of y'all. Y'all take it
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: all right, coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening, all right, stephen A.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: You can pull back to curtain. The light bulbs is on.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: We know what's happening. Now, tell us a little bit more, man,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: You do understand that they would have the players would
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: have been in violation of the collective bargaining agreement in
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: the event that these games not continued, because there's nowhere
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: to collective bargaining agreement that says you should stop play
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: because of social injustice. A police officer killing an unarmed
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: black man is not the responsibility of the National Basketball
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Association if that was a reason, or any kind of
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: social injustice has taken place outside that umbrella, if that's
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: all it takes for you to postpone or dare I say,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: cancel the season, then the NBA owners were arguing, we
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: can reach all the agreements in the world, But a
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: black man could get shot in November for while being
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: unarmed and cuffed by a police officer. You're trying to
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: tell me we have to worry about our season being canceled.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: Then players have to be ready to answer questions like that,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: particularly when you're in the throne of an eleven plus
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: billion dollars agreement with owners who all have lost collectively
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: have lost an excess of two billion, and counting the
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: players themselves. The players themselves have lost hundreds of millions
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: of dollars already, and had they elected not to go
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: back and play, they would have lost hundreds of millions
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: more because the owners would have came to them and said,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: these are losses we've accrued. This is what we project
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: we will lose next season in light of your actions,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: and as a result, since we are partners, you share
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: in this loss. It is a fifty fifty split of
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: basketball related income. We want our money and that's what
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: the players we're facing. Hey, what about it. I don't
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: respect what they did, as we respect where they're coming from.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Of course we do, and by the way we support them.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: I don't think any black person should fail to support
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: them because they're fighting for others the reality of the
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: situation as any of us can get pulled over by
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: law enforcement officials and find out self shot. But while
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: we do so, it's also important that everybody right now,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: everybody ain't Steve, and everybody ain't Steve hawks. The average
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: joe out there does not make up one percent of
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: the population. And as a result of understanding that, we
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: also have to understand that we can't disseminate a message
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: that all police officers are bad. Okay, so they're all
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: black police officers, they are all that team no police officers,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: they are all white police officers, So you can't castigate everybody.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: We just have to encourage those police officers who are
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: fulfilling their duties to protect and serve, to hold the
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: rogue officers honible and assist in holding the role of
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: offices accountable. So if you do that kind of stuff,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: that's that's what it comes down to for me, ladies
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Steven A. Smith, thank you, Stephen A. Coming
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: up our last break of the day and some closing remarks.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Break of the day and some closing remarks from the
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey. At forty nine minutes after
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to all right, Steve, here
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: we are last break of the day, last break of
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: the day again, sixty seven days now until the November
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: third election. But by November third, we already we already
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: want to have voted. Okay, yeah, our votes in by
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: that time. Okay, yeah, but go to vote for one
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: one dot org, get registered, find out where you can
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: early vote, and you know, wait it out, wait your part. Yeah,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: come on, you were about to lose your job. Get
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: this dance stance back off the boxes. Get all that.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna need you to get all that, y'all a
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: while to get him out of there, though, y'all know that.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: And I agree with you, Tommy, I think he gonna yeah,
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: like a kid in a grocery store. But when you're
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: gonna find out that the US military guy more power
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: than you think? Wait, did it send the National Guard
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: for years? I love it. I love it, man. Yeah,
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: that was gonna happen. Yeah, but don't nless. We can't
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: get complacent, don't underestimate anything. Just do your part and
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: get out and vote. Please, and take some people with you,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: like we were talking earlier, take some people with you
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: to the polls. Yeah, you're ready, you're ready on Yeah.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: I want to say something and that I've been saying,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: But I have something. Since we like to watch movies
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: and stuff, I would like for everybody on Netflix this weekend,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: I would like for you to meet this thing on
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: Netflix called Meet the Trumps From Immigrant to President. It's
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: a special on Netflix called Meet the Trumps From Immigrants
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: to President. I want you to watch this special. So
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: this is really really important for everybody to watch this special.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: But if you are a minority, when you see this,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: if you can tell me that this specialist a lie,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: you can vote for Donald Trump. But if you can
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: watch this special on Netmix Netflix Trumps from Immigrants to
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: President and you can see where they can back up
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: what they're saying, and you can still vote for him,
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: something's wrong with you. So I'm asking everybody, since you
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: like watching stuff and most of us are still quarantine
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: and playing practice and social distancing, just watch it on Netflix.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: I rest my case. I am trying to find every
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: way to get people to get to these polls because
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: I do not want you to miss the significance of
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: this election. This election, the way we showed up for
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Barack Obama. We really need that type of turnout. Man.
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: I don't know if we can get it, but I
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: think we can get really, really close. But the numbers
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: that did not vote last time with Hillary Clinton against him,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: that's unacceptable. What happened in Philly, what happened in Michigan,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: what happened in Wisconsin, what happened in Florida, what happened
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: in Georgia. It cannot happen again. This is a very
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: very important election. People. It's important for the common man.
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: It's important for the working man, working person, working woman.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: It's important for those who are affected by policy, which
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: is ninety five percent of the country. You have to vote.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: You have to get in there and stop this foolishness
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: that's going on. I was so sick of the Republican
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: National Convention trying to show all these black people like
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: they've been there the whole time, and if you look
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: in the scope of thing, it wasn't many at all.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: It's just where, all of a sudden did they come from. Now.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: I felt such a pain for the family that lost
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: their father, who was a retired police officer that went
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: down to the store in Saint Louis to go and
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: look on their friends store. I felt so much pain
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: for that family. I really really did. That was tragic
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: what happened. It really really was, because that family didn't
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: deserve that to happen. But what I also watched was
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: how they made it all about the policemen. They made
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: it all about themselves, and they made it all about
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: that flag, and they turned all of the protesters, They
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: turned all of them into rioters, looters, and unlaw abiding citizens.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: They never mentioned the peaceful protests and what had all
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: the people in the streets in the beginning. It is
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: sad man the way this Republican National Convention was run,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: how they ignored the depths, all the families that have
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: been affected, one hundred and eighty thousand people in this
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: country dead, and they kept saying his quick response to
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: coronavirus was the slower's response of any nation, Which is
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: why we're in the position we're in today. His lack
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: of leadership and not having mandatory shutdowns and having some
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: plowing form of plan from the government. That's what we
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: should do. That's why we're in the position we're in. Folks.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: We have to vote, we have to get to the polls,
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: and we have to prove the one way for show
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: that they'll get the message that black lives do matter.
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: When we show them that black lives count at the polls.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: I bet you then they'll think they matter. See once
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: you take them out of office, remove them from their
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: position of power, they will then understand black lives not
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: only matter, black lives count. Vote Vote for one one
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: dot org. I don't want nobody not voting this year.
