- Talking Trash And Tacos: Hey guys. So here's what sparked everything. ⁓ Actress Ruby Rose accused Katy Perry of sexually assaulting her almost 20 years at a nightclub. Yeah. So she said it took her years to even talk about it publicly, which is something we hear a lot in these situations. But I think that's weird because I would be talking about it right away. it is. And then Katy Perry's team immediately denied it, like very strongly denied, calling it completely false and even reckless. ⁓ right away, we've got two sides and no actual legal case, just statements. And this is where it turns chaos because the internet does not wait. we know that ⁓ instant. ⁓ I believe her. She's lying. This confirms everything I thought about her. ⁓ then people start digging up everything. ⁓ Like we're doing with the Slovenia murder right now. ⁓ people off. We're a bunch of nosy people. Yeah, it's true. So Now the internet is pulling up old moments like that American Idol clip. Yeah, where she kissed a contestant without warning and he later said it made him feel uncomfortable. remember that. I did too. And there was also that model Josh Kloss who said she exposed him in front of people. Like she must have just went up to him and pulled his wiener out to say like, hey, look at this thing. I don't know. I don't know either. So they also had some other weird moments that people were bringing up, like the interactions with younger male celebrities that people now see a little differently. See, and a lot of these later things, they all deal with men. And I've never known Carrie, like Katy Perry, Katy Perry to be a lesbian. or even to be bi, but maybe she is. Have you ever heard anything about that? No, but I mean, just based off vibe mean, I could see her being open to not liking a person for who they are, not the sex they are. So, I mean, I guess a little bit, I could see her just being open to anything that she likes. So, I'm shocked about the sex. ⁓ ⁓ Yeah, like you made a good point that she was raised very religious and her dad's a pastor. Yeah, I think she was adopted actually and then raised in a church family. ⁓ really? I know. She was big about, in American Idol she would always bring it up. Like I haven't researched this, but she'd always say stuff like, was in a church and she really felt for the people that were like the churchy music type vibes. So. Yeah, I didn't realize the adopted part, but maybe. It's interesting. So this is not just behavior. She's had some legal dramas too, which I did not know about. Yeah. Like the whole situation with the nuns, which sounds insane when you say it out loud. Yeah. Because what situation with the nuns? I don't know anything about it. Do you? No, I don't. But your line might tell us. So literally a legal battle over property involving elderly nuns. We did the work. The people still bring that up as part of her reputation. Now, I don't know who's bringing it up because I never heard about it till now. Yeah, I didn't know anything about it and I do want to maybe dig a little further. we'll see. Katie, why are you fucking with the nuns? Right? Well, especially if you did. Was it her mom? mean, they were. Just a quick side eye. We don't know what you're doing. There have also been lawsuits, business disputes, and even environmental criticism tied to projects she's been involved in. Interesting. this is where it gets even more interesting because now people are connecting dots. Exactly. It goes one one old clip, ⁓ one And suddenly it becomes this is who she is. I mean, even if none of those things were ever legally proven to mean that. Right. And I think this is the part people don't talk about enough appearing in something or being accused doesn't automatically mean guilt. Just like Jessica had to learn. If you overdose, you don't automatically die. That's true. was 46 years old when I learned that. at ⁓ same time, ⁓ speaking automatically mean that they're lying either. I mean there are different sides to every story. And perceives it differently. It just means we don't actually know. And in some cases I feel people are afraid because you hear so many horror stories about telling the truth and next thing you know you're in jail. Yeah I mean things, the script can flip real fast. I mean, I sometimes wonder when I'm telling someone something that really happened. mean, half the time people don't believe me. I remember telling my uncle something that my mom had said and or had did. And he looked at me and he goes, I think I'm a good judge of character. She wouldn't do that. And I'm like, well, she did. I mean, people are buffaloed. And that's fine. They just didn't see the same side that I saw. So that's the way I think about everything in life. And I think that's why I'm more open-minded. Yeah, because you think, and I get in trouble with that. I swear because I'm left-handed, the way I say things gets me in trouble all the time because nobody understands. They take what I'm saying in a negative way when I'm just, I process and say things differently so I can see how this could spin and one person may think something completely different than the other. Yeah, it's tough. No, no wonder we need multiple jurors for those types of decisions. It's true. That kind of scares me too. And what's crazy is Katy Perry used to be like America's sweetheart. Like everyone loved her. Yes. Like fun, quirky, harmless. And I like her. She does have a little sass. Like she has no problem. And I like that. And I think she's dated a couple of weirdos. And I was kind of like, what? She's very unique. Yeah, for sure. So now it feels like people are questioning everything about her. Which is wild how fast that can change. different seasons of life, I guess. ⁓ that's where the whole downfall conversation comes in. Yeah, people were saying her reputation has slowly been shifting for years, not just because of this. ⁓ between public behavior, legal issues and awkward vile vile. Awkward moments. It's like a buildup. I think people are wired to look for patterns. 100%. Even in those if those patterns aren't fully real. I connect dots every day that aren't there. Yep. We see power, fame, controversy, and our brain goes there must be more. Yeah. Which sometimes there is. there's so Right. There are so many layers of things and that's why I'm intrigued. ⁓ But the end of the day, this is real life. Yeah, like real people, real reputations, real consequences. And either way, someone's being affected by this. I could never be famous. Could you be could you imagine being in the spotlight all the time? No, I was just listening to a song the other day. It was called I took a bill and I a pill. I took a pill and I visa. And it was pretty much about how he's on stage and can't form relationships. And he's just. Yeah. It's just a performer. And sometimes that's why it leads to them doing the things they do as celebrities. So, yeah. So folks, I think the biggest takeaway is the Internet builds stories faster than the truth can keep up. We tend to say this a lot because that's what we want to get to the truth. So, yeah. And once the narrative is out there, it doesn't really go away. It's like a bad reputation. It still kind of lingers. And we're not here to say what that truth is or is not. We're just talking about what's being said and how people react to it. Because this is exactly how things blow up online now, as we all know. Yeah. So let us know what you think because I already know this one's going to have opinions. I love that you love celebrity gossip and some of it is very interesting because it's not always relatable to us. But I just never follow it as much. And you come up with some really cool tidbits. Yeah, well Katy Perry, she's pretty cool. People tend to follow it. do not like her. Like I always was like a Taylor Swift vibe girl, but Katy Perry's like edgier and more like in your face. I'll have to talk about Taylor. I don't have anything to say. Everything's already known. Like every what can you do a podcast on Taylor besides Swifties? Yeah, like the fans are. There's probably some interesting I want more information on the Katy Perry Taylor Swift like Oh, yeah. Yeah, they were in a big fight. Yeah, she makes a lot of enemies. At least at times. Yeah. And I mean, maybe she is a mean girl. I mean, she doesn't come off as one but maybe she is. They Taylor Swift is a mean girl. None of us know it. No, I can't see that.
