- 2:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. I need everybody today,
- 2:16Speaker 1: everybody that's listening. I need you to catch fire today.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I want you to catch fire today. You want to
- 2:26Speaker 1: phrase it another way, I want you to catch on
- 2:28Speaker 1: fire today. But I need you to catch fire today.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I need today to be today that you stop complaining
- 2:37Speaker 1: and you do something. Do you know why a lot
- 2:40Speaker 1: of people can't move forward in their life because they're
- 2:42Speaker 1: complaining about their past? They always complaining, man about something?
- 2:47Speaker 1: Is that explains the reason why they are. Let me
- 2:51Speaker 1: help you with this right here. If you are study
- 2:54Speaker 1: complaining about the reason you are, you know, if I
- 2:57Speaker 1: hadn't met this man, if I hadn't to be involved
- 3:00Speaker 1: with this woman, if I hadn't had this baby, if
- 3:03Speaker 1: I had to never went down there, if I hadn't
- 3:05Speaker 1: got arrested, if I hadn't it is, if I hadn't
- 3:08Speaker 1: it if I had to just finished school, if I
- 3:11Speaker 1: hadn't a hey, hey, hey, hey, stop stop all that
- 3:15Speaker 1: stuff that you're complaining about, everything that you keep allowing
- 3:20Speaker 1: to resonate with you as a reason to justify and
- 3:24Speaker 1: explain you're not being successful. Can I share something with
- 3:28Speaker 1: you about all of that? Guess what it is? You
- 3:31Speaker 1: didn't got past all of it. You didn't have the baby,
- 3:39Speaker 1: you got arrested, they didn't kill you, you didn't finish school,
- 3:44Speaker 1: But you're still standing. You met that man, he gone,
- 3:48Speaker 1: He involved with two other women. Right now, I've got
- 3:51Speaker 1: three other kids. Guess what. You still here and the
- 3:54Speaker 1: baby's here. You got over all the end justices that
- 4:00Speaker 1: were done to you. You got something happened to you
- 4:03Speaker 1: when you as a kid. You're an adult now. Somebody
- 4:06Speaker 1: did something to you when you was a little boy.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Guess what you're man. Now, some thing's happened to you
- 4:15Speaker 1: that you haven't found closure on. The person that you're
- 4:18Speaker 1: looking for closure from has moved on. Can I tell
- 4:23Speaker 1: you that everything that has happened to you do you
- 4:26Speaker 1: know you've gotten past it? So why are you steady
- 4:33Speaker 1: complaining about what has happened to you that has caused
- 4:37Speaker 1: you to be in this position? But do you understand
- 4:40Speaker 1: that it's prohibiting you from moving forward? Stop complaining today,
- 4:44Speaker 1: catch fire. Let your past be your past. I've told
- 4:47Speaker 1: us to you a hundred times on this radio, but
- 4:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it again. Bishop Jake's told me something
- 4:53Speaker 1: man that helped me so greatly. You can't drive your
- 4:57Speaker 1: car if you're gonna keep looking in the rear view mirror.
- 5:02Speaker 1: That's why the windshield is huge. The windshield is huge.
- 5:08Speaker 1: The rear view mirror is this tiny thing that sits
- 5:11Speaker 1: up there. Now, all is falls so you can see
- 5:15Speaker 1: stuff that's coming up on you. All the rear view
- 5:20Speaker 1: mirror for is so you can assure yourself or listen
- 5:24Speaker 1: to this. The review mirror is impt there to assure
- 5:27Speaker 1: you that you've cleared something. See, that's what the rear
- 5:31Speaker 1: view mirrors for. So when you pass it, corn you
- 5:33Speaker 1: want to switch lanes, you can glance up there and
- 5:36Speaker 1: it says, okay, you're clear. Now you passed it, you
- 5:39Speaker 1: can switch lanes. That's all the rear view mirrors for.
- 5:42Speaker 1: It ain't for you to stare at and dictate your
- 5:45Speaker 1: life with what you're tripping for. Man, catch fire today today,
- 5:50Speaker 1: Man quick complaining about everything that that happened to you.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Life is ten percent. What happens to you is what
- 5:57Speaker 1: you do about what happens to you. What are you
- 6:00Speaker 1: going to do about it? So what I got all this? Look, man,
- 6:05Speaker 1: your story ain't no deeper than nobody else's. I can
- 6:08Speaker 1: tell you. I was homeless for three years. It's people
- 6:10Speaker 1: been homeless for thirty years. How long I'm gonna ride
- 6:15Speaker 1: that out? Man? You know I can't do nothing right now.
- 6:19Speaker 1: I fell on hard times and I lost my place
- 6:21Speaker 1: to stay. What are you staying now? See the majority
- 6:27Speaker 1: of people are staying somewhere right now. I was out there.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I didn't have nowhere to go. I'm in a shelter. Now.
- 6:33Speaker 1: You was under the bridge a week ago. You're in
- 6:36Speaker 1: the shelter. Now, why are you still crying about the bridge?
- 6:40Speaker 1: You're in the shelter. Now, man, people, man, we trip
- 6:45Speaker 1: ourselves out by complaining. I'm asking everybody today to catch
- 6:49Speaker 1: fire today. Stop complaining, do something today. Get excited. Now,
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna say something that I'm going to have to explain.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Get it excited about your life. You know, the best
- 7:01Speaker 1: way to get excited about your life is to find
- 7:04Speaker 1: your purpose in your life. Oh, Steve, got to explained
- 7:06Speaker 1: that one, don't you. Yep, I knew. I knew it
- 7:08Speaker 1: before I said it. As soon as I said it,
- 7:10Speaker 1: I said, of them. Had to explain this right here
- 7:11Speaker 1: because and people always be telling like you say something
- 7:14Speaker 1: you don't mean. See what I do is when I
- 7:15Speaker 1: say something, I give you an explanation for so you
- 7:18Speaker 1: can stop all that I ain't no, I ain't no.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Listen to me. You got to get excited about your life.
- 7:24Speaker 1: And the best way to get excited about your life
- 7:26Speaker 1: is to find your purpose. Now, okay, Steve, That's what
- 7:29Speaker 1: I've been struggling with. I can't find my purpose. Yes
- 7:32Speaker 1: you can, Yes you can. You know how you find
- 7:37Speaker 1: your purpose you get in touch with who created you,
- 7:42Speaker 1: because when God made you, he had a purpose in mind.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Now we've ignored it. And we haven't tapped into it.
- 7:50Speaker 1: But we all had a purpose. You don't, and it's
- 7:52Speaker 1: sometimes to take people longer to discover the purpose. Colonel
- 7:56Speaker 1: Sanders was frying chicken with a recipe that he was
- 8:00Speaker 1: telling people was the best chicken in the world. Ain't
- 8:03Speaker 1: nobody believe him until he turned seventy. Why you think
- 8:08Speaker 1: the dude that's on the Kentucky Fried Chicken signs is old.
- 8:13Speaker 1: That dude ain't twining up there he oh, he oh,
- 8:18Speaker 1: But you know what, He had been frying that chicken
- 8:22Speaker 1: for forty some years. They just found out about it
- 8:26Speaker 1: when he was seventy. But he didn't give up his
- 8:31Speaker 1: purpose in life. This dude was just frying chicken. See,
- 8:34Speaker 1: people keep looking for their gifts in all kinds of
- 8:36Speaker 1: places when it's right there in you. You ain't gotta
- 8:39Speaker 1: go to school to find your gift. You're born with
- 8:42Speaker 1: the gift to God God for you. You'll go to
- 8:44Speaker 1: school to tack it on to something else. But your
- 8:48Speaker 1: gift was already given to you. You were born with that.
- 8:50Speaker 1: You don't have to go to college to know your guilt.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Your college allows you to enhance it, it to find
- 8:56Speaker 1: something to attach it to and hopefully you get a
- 8:58Speaker 1: degree that attaches your gift to to a vehicle where
- 9:02Speaker 1: it can work. The problem with college is we go
- 9:05Speaker 1: to college and we attached it to what we like
- 9:07Speaker 1: or what we might be passionate about, and we ignore
- 9:10Speaker 1: the gift we have. You know how many people and
- 9:11Speaker 1: graduating from college ain't doing nothing they went to college for.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Come on, man, you know why, because you're discovering life,
- 9:17Speaker 1: your guilt. You discover what you was born to do.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I wasn't bought you know what I mean. You know
- 9:22Speaker 1: what my major was in college? It was advertising. I
- 9:26Speaker 1: can't be in no desk drawing no picture for nobody.
- 9:30Speaker 1: But now guess what I can wake up every day
- 9:32Speaker 1: and guess what I can tell you. I advertised. I've
- 9:35Speaker 1: been advertising my career. Come see me live. Come see
- 9:38Speaker 1: me live at Madison Square, God, Come see me live
- 9:41Speaker 1: at Phillips Arena. Come see me live at Joker's Comedy Club.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Come see me live at Person's. Come see me live
- 9:47Speaker 1: at Ellis's Tavern. Come see me live. Come. I've been
- 9:50Speaker 1: advertising the whole time, but I had a different purpose
- 9:55Speaker 1: in mind because I went and I talked to God.
- 9:57Speaker 1: And this is how you do it you go talk
- 9:59Speaker 1: to God and say, hey, God, look, okay, this is
- 10:02Speaker 1: the deal. I've been struggling here. I'm over forty. I
- 10:06Speaker 1: still haven't found my purpose in life. Okay, but so
- 10:10Speaker 1: I can quit wasting any more time? Would you help
- 10:13Speaker 1: direct me and guide me to my purpose? I know
- 10:16Speaker 1: you created me to do something. I just haven't found
- 10:19Speaker 1: what it is. And the reason I haven't found what
- 10:21Speaker 1: it is because I've been doing things my way. I
- 10:23Speaker 1: ain't been checking with you, confirmed with you on anything.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I ain't locked in and tried to settle it up
- 10:29Speaker 1: with you. I've been just doing my thing. Well, my
- 10:31Speaker 1: thing has gotten me as far as it can get me.
- 10:34Speaker 1: How about you take over and do your thing now?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Can you direct me in my path? I'm an open book.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Treat me like a piece of clay. I'm telling you, man,
- 10:44Speaker 1: if you go to God, he'll give it to you.
- 10:47Speaker 1: But see, you have not because you asked not. How
- 10:51Speaker 1: many times have you asked God for it? You two?
- 10:54Speaker 1: You mean to tell me you've been asking God the
- 10:56Speaker 1: whole time to guide you to your purpose and he didn't. What. No, Man,
- 11:02Speaker 1: you have not because you asked not. You have rent
- 11:06Speaker 1: instead of a mortgage. Because you ain't asked for a house.
- 11:10Speaker 1: If you keep asking God for you rich, don't he
- 11:12Speaker 1: always give it to you. Why don't you turn around
- 11:16Speaker 1: and ask for a mortgage? What's the difference to him?
- 11:18Speaker 1: It's just a payment on where you stay. You don't
- 11:22Speaker 1: want to keep calling it rit The moment you call
- 11:25Speaker 1: it a mortgage is what he'll give you. This. This
- 11:28Speaker 1: ain't no magic trick, y'all. This is the deal. You
- 11:32Speaker 1: got to catch fire today. You got to get excited.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Do you know you can turn your life around today?
- 11:39Speaker 1: You can start the trip today. It can all get
- 11:42Speaker 1: better for you today if you just go to God
- 11:45Speaker 1: and ask God from for some direction. And all these
- 11:48Speaker 1: people that think that they ain't cool. Since if you're
- 11:50Speaker 1: listening to all these atheists trying to tell you how
- 11:52Speaker 1: to live your life, man, you're quite talking to these
- 11:55Speaker 1: people people knocking on your dough with information. Man, Go
- 11:58Speaker 1: to a church, go to Mars, go to a temple,
- 12:01Speaker 1: go somewhere based on your faith. Man, learned about God
- 12:04Speaker 1: and your creator putting man, Quit sitting down talking to people.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Ain't going nowhere? Catch fire today. I am. I'm excited
- 12:13Speaker 1: about today. I've got a lot to do. Go out
- 12:16Speaker 1: here and see what God got for me today. I'm
- 12:18Speaker 1: shaking the bushes. Man, if God passing out blessings, I'm
- 12:21Speaker 1: in Lyne. I am in Lyne. You're listening to the
- 12:27Speaker 1: stew eighteen eighteen minutes after Welcome to the Rock, Steve
- 12:39Speaker 1: Harbor Morning Show. This is a nephew holding it down.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I don't know that's true. I'm holding it okay. I've
- 12:51Speaker 1: just gone through some things this morning, because cause cause
- 12:56Speaker 1: cause cause cause cause I am. And when you're over fall,
- 13:00Speaker 1: this is what happened to you. You get out of
- 13:01Speaker 1: breath like this. You mean you don't. You don't do that.
- 13:07Speaker 1: You know, if I need that to you, you'll be
- 13:08Speaker 1: all up in an uproll. But you wouldn't because you're
- 13:11Speaker 1: such a gentleman. All right, tone it down. The nephew
- 13:16Speaker 1: is here holding it down. But yeah, because people are
- 13:20Speaker 1: over forty, don't get out of breath like that. Okay.
- 13:23Speaker 1: If when you run upstairs at this time in your life,
- 13:29Speaker 1: oh this is you run every day? Yeah, but not upstairs. Okay,
- 13:37Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna get that. You know that thing
- 13:40Speaker 1: you see in the movies that go up to stair,
- 13:43Speaker 1: the old movies, the old people in that chair. I think,
- 13:48Speaker 1: I think it's it's time in my life. I've got
- 13:50Speaker 1: to start getting these things put in my house. I
- 13:53Speaker 1: need that chair that you hit that button and it
- 13:56Speaker 1: slides you up there in the chateau. I need wait,
- 14:02Speaker 1: hold you hear what junior said to the junior. We're
- 14:08Speaker 1: going to go down the line. Get the cane with
- 14:11Speaker 1: the three um stands and you could break it down
- 14:16Speaker 1: and put cane. I need that cane and I can
- 14:21Speaker 1: break down. But I have all four points on it. Huh.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I need that tub black and just old man though
- 14:28Speaker 1: you sit in there. But but wait, that always puzzled me,
- 14:32Speaker 1: because how do you get out of there without letting
- 14:34Speaker 1: all the water go to see it? You have to
- 14:36Speaker 1: sit I've read up on the shirt. You can sit
- 14:40Speaker 1: in there and get cold. Yeah, you have to. This
- 14:44Speaker 1: is the part I ain't figured out. When you sit
- 14:46Speaker 1: in there. You got to sit in there and into
- 14:48Speaker 1: the water drains out. You got the water come in
- 14:52Speaker 1: and after the water get out. You can't and hands
- 14:57Speaker 1: like prunes. Yes, what has happened. But the dirt you
- 15:03Speaker 1: isn't the dirt you just washed off, still floating in
- 15:05Speaker 1: the water, still in there. It's still in there. It's
- 15:09Speaker 1: still in there. Yeah. So you're getting me at the
- 15:12Speaker 1: tub and the chair. Okay, the tub, the chair to
- 15:15Speaker 1: go up the stairs, the cane. Yeah, you need a
- 15:19Speaker 1: bigger nightstand and put all your meds on top of it.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I already got that. I got that. I've already way
- 15:25Speaker 1: ahead of the game, y'all you claiming, oh already? Okay? Yes,
- 15:31Speaker 1: all my lights, all my light bulbs is two hundred white.
- 15:36Speaker 1: They bright bright. You know the person still got the
- 15:40Speaker 1: clapper over here. We're fighting it to the death on age.
- 15:50Speaker 1: But you've you've accepted it, you own it all. Right
- 15:54Speaker 1: now listen, watched this here, y'all. My back windows looking
- 15:58Speaker 1: into my backyard, all of old about to be prescribed.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Man that they're gonna be whatever whatever is in my glasses,
- 16:10Speaker 1: that's what's gonna be on my back window. Okay, everybody,
- 16:15Speaker 1: what the hell is going I can't see what's going
- 16:18Speaker 1: on in the backyard until we get these back windows prescribed.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I was gonna ask you about glasses, but you took
- 16:25Speaker 1: it to the next people. Yes, my kids, my wife,
- 16:30Speaker 1: everybody gonna have to see the way I see. What
- 16:33Speaker 1: about your windshield in your car? That to prescribe, prescribe already.
- 16:41Speaker 1: This is ignorant right here. You're gonna get that cell phone.
- 16:44Speaker 1: They'd be advat. I don't know with them, play school
- 16:50Speaker 1: numbers on it. One takes up the whole. Screens are
- 16:56Speaker 1: so big when I text people, like a big chief tablet.
- 17:01Speaker 1: I'm talking about it. Look for I'm telling you going
- 17:06Speaker 1: through Yes, you are wow? Taking um medicine? Yeah, got
- 17:15Speaker 1: all the medicine that you take. Now the ones for
- 17:18Speaker 1: your knees, I got that. Okay, let me let me
- 17:22Speaker 1: let me ask you this. Have you already gotten your
- 17:24Speaker 1: plot like for when you die? Have you already have
- 17:27Speaker 1: you already done that? We're going there. I haven't really
- 17:32Speaker 1: started on it, but I do have the magazine. I
- 17:35Speaker 1: do have the magazine because what I'm not gonna do
- 17:38Speaker 1: my kidna lay me down and not do me right.
- 17:40Speaker 1: So I'm have my stuff done. You don't give me
- 17:43Speaker 1: no rinking dank tombs. Don't know I'm gonna be I'm
- 17:47Speaker 1: gonna be right when you come to me. Man, Wow,
- 17:53Speaker 1: you spend a lot of time in the room and
- 17:54Speaker 1: the dog, but yourself, Oh no, not yet. What I mean.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I'm on my way to that old people in the
- 18:04Speaker 1: dog by themselves. Okay, let me ask you this. How
- 18:08Speaker 1: how close to your chest you know your breasts area?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Are your pants right now? How? Neighbor now? Neighbor now?
- 18:20Speaker 1: So I'm on my way to it. I'm on. Yeah.
- 18:25Speaker 1: When that bell just come on, when that bell come
- 18:29Speaker 1: right around your spurring him right in there, getting there.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I'm embracing. I'm embracing. I'm embracing it. I'm not gonna
- 18:41Speaker 1: run from it. Okay, what about the teeth? How are
- 18:44Speaker 1: your teeth doing? And all that? He got, Peter, Fine,
- 18:48Speaker 1: I got I got three on a side that really ain't. Man,
- 18:52Speaker 1: I got that. But they but they in there, though
- 18:55Speaker 1: they in there. I got I buy a case of
- 18:59Speaker 1: just for me now, by the case, by by the case,

- 19:21Speaker 1: you Junior? You're ready? Yeah? Ready? I got them. I
- 19:25Speaker 1: got how many pairs orders? I ordered six pounds. I
- 19:28Speaker 1: got them shoes with that curve on it. You know what,
- 19:31Speaker 1: I'm talking that extra big hill with that extra big hill. Boy,
- 19:36Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. You ain't walk til you
- 19:38Speaker 1: walk in them boy. Okay, okay, not the one day
- 19:43Speaker 1: I have not The one thing I have not picked
- 19:46Speaker 1: up yet is that little leather pouch that you put
- 19:49Speaker 1: in that top pocket with them ps and ain't got
- 19:53Speaker 1: When I get that, boy, I'm telling you I'm ready,
- 20:00Speaker 1: but I was thinking. It's a little level thing. You
- 20:02Speaker 1: put them on top and keep all your pens and
- 20:04Speaker 1: you're put in your top. You realize none of this
- 20:07Speaker 1: is sexy. It's not sexy, but you gotta make it.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I can't make it sexy. Let me tell you something
- 20:12Speaker 1: when I want to, let me tell you something in
- 20:14Speaker 1: another model. So when I pull, when I put a
- 20:16Speaker 1: little corn person out with all them corns and tell
- 20:18Speaker 1: you to reach and get you something. When I tell
- 20:22Speaker 1: you to reach, you just get one. Let me just think.
- 20:26Speaker 1: We gotta go. We'll be back with something funny at
- 20:29Speaker 1: thirty four after you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 20:37Speaker 1: All right, As we mentioned, Steve Harvey is off today
- 20:40Speaker 1: after a big weekend down at Disney World with the
- 20:44Speaker 1: Disney Dreamer's Academy celebrating their tenth anniversary. What a great weekend.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Thanks to everyone, all the Disney staff, and congratulations to
- 20:52Speaker 1: the class of two thousand, seventeen. Great young men and
- 20:56Speaker 1: women down there. Great. We had a great time too
- 21:00Speaker 1: on Friday for the live broadcast. Thanks to all the
- 21:02Speaker 1: parents who came out and participated. It was a wonderful,
- 21:05Speaker 1: wonderful time. Carl is out today as well, and it's
- 21:09Speaker 1: it's the three of us, the rest of the crew.
- 21:11Speaker 1: It's the nephew, it's the junior, and it's the Shirley. Okay, yeah,
- 21:17Speaker 1: we are here. Yeah. What can I tell y'all? When
- 21:20Speaker 1: my son was having a great time until he saw Mickey,
- 21:26Speaker 1: and when Mickey came out. He loves Mickey, he loves
- 21:32Speaker 1: ain't there. Oh the bigness of Mickey and everything kind
- 21:36Speaker 1: of freak him out a little bit in there talking
- 21:39Speaker 1: to it was he five, Oh my god. Yeah, I
- 21:45Speaker 1: get it. I get it. When when my child, when
- 21:48Speaker 1: Sheridan was really really young, I took her and she
- 21:51Speaker 1: saw Tigger and all she did was scream the entire time.
- 21:55Speaker 1: She scream, So I get it. I don't know, it's
- 21:58Speaker 1: something about them seeing them, Yeah live, I think Tommy,
- 22:02Speaker 1: you're right. I mean the first time was Chuck a
- 22:05Speaker 1: t That's when it really broke out, when he started
- 22:08Speaker 1: having the big temper changer. I was like, oh my god,
- 22:11Speaker 1: you're losing it, dude. Come on, but the whole time
- 22:14Speaker 1: in the car, we're going to see check a t
- 22:16Speaker 1: We're going to see chuck it come out. I don't
- 22:24Speaker 1: want to see you. All right, come on? Right or
- 22:30Speaker 1: wrong with the nephew and Junior coming up? Really, Junior,
- 22:36Speaker 1: I was for us to all right, all right, it's
- 22:47Speaker 1: time for right or wrong? Yes, yeah, but just so
- 22:53Speaker 1: I can't do me a favorite though, what lose my number?
- 23:00Speaker 1: You want to talk to me, then you don't want
- 23:01Speaker 1: to talk to me, but I don't even call you.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Do about foolishness? Yeah, any time we're talking about the tour,
- 23:08Speaker 1: then he want to talk. Then when it's you know,
- 23:11Speaker 1: when it's when there's things that's on my mind and
- 23:13Speaker 1: he don't want to talk. Okay, So you don't understand why, though, Well,
- 23:19Speaker 1: Steve's out so he won't be able to judge. I
- 23:21Speaker 1: guess I'll have to do it so easy. This is
- 23:25Speaker 1: so easy, all right? And evidently he ain't took one
- 23:29Speaker 1: biology class in school. I don't know what's going on.
- 23:33Speaker 1: With this boy, Surley, tell this boy you cannot this
- 23:40Speaker 1: young man. Would you tell him that you cannot get
- 23:45Speaker 1: pregnant at night because your sperm seals be sleep at
- 23:51Speaker 1: night and they don't swim at night. Would you let
- 23:54Speaker 1: this food know that? Yeah? Yeah, what you tell him
- 24:01Speaker 1: late at night, sperm sales is sleep. You cannot say
- 24:06Speaker 1: in here talking. So what time is the pimp? Is
- 24:10Speaker 1: my number two? Tommy thirty? We better go to bed.
- 24:13Speaker 1: We ain't working to night. What they sleep? They sperm
- 24:19Speaker 1: doesn't sleep. Did they do at night? Nobody swims that
- 24:24Speaker 1: late at night, Shirley. Nobody swimming at two three in
- 24:28Speaker 1: the morning. Yeah, man, I don't really feel like working
- 24:32Speaker 1: to day. I'm gonna go ahead and I ain't gonna
- 24:34Speaker 1: be no DNA tonight. That's a sperm talking. Yeah, I'm
- 24:37Speaker 1: just gonna be sleeping here because it's twitter thirty a m.
- 24:40Speaker 1: We are not going out there to day. So that's
- 24:44Speaker 1: why they go to sleep, because they're busy. They're talking
- 24:46Speaker 1: in the daytime. Yeah, working okay, so that Yeah, I'm
- 24:53Speaker 1: just I'm just Tommy, come on dead wrong, you're listening
- 25:03Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, coming up a
- 25:10Speaker 1: little after the top of the hour, mrs and will
- 25:12Speaker 1: be here with our headlines and national news. But right
- 25:15Speaker 1: now it is Monday, of course, and uh a lot
- 25:19Speaker 1: of things went down in the church yesterday. So we'll
- 25:22Speaker 1: get to those church complaints with the nephew right after this.
- 25:26Speaker 1: You got him, nef, Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got you. Yes.
- 25:39Speaker 1: As you know, Pasta is out today, that is reference motown, right,
- 25:50Speaker 1: and Sister Carla is out as well. Huh. But Deacon
- 25:56Speaker 1: deaf dam which is me, I am here with so
- 26:01Speaker 1: many church complaints and my assistant, uh, Deacon Junior has
- 26:07Speaker 1: come here and he has helped gather some church complaints
- 26:11Speaker 1: as well. Now we can't answer what to do, sister shearity,
- 26:16Speaker 1: but we're just letting you know what the complaints are
- 26:19Speaker 1: that we are um collecting together, so when Pastor gets
- 26:24Speaker 1: back we can go over that. Does that make sense
- 26:26Speaker 1: to you? Okay? Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, alright, alright, Deacon Junior,
- 26:34Speaker 1: are you a good Let me start off by letting
- 26:37Speaker 1: you the biggest thing that's happened in the church. Um,
- 26:42Speaker 1: Sister Piggy Carruthers and brother Cecil Bailey just got married.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Now Sister Piggy is aided two and brother Cecil is
- 26:53Speaker 1: eighty nine, and they are excited and proud to announce
- 26:59Speaker 1: that will be expecting their first child. He is three
- 27:05Speaker 1: months pregnant and they will be expecting their first child
- 27:09Speaker 1: in the next six months. Who they think they fool
- 27:14Speaker 1: it was and he's eight and nine. Sorry, that makes
- 27:21Speaker 1: a big difference. Yeah, but the congregation is worried about
- 27:26Speaker 1: the baby and who's gonna care for the child. I
- 27:29Speaker 1: don't know how we're gonna handle this, but that's one
- 27:31Speaker 1: thing we're gonna have to let pass to deal with
- 27:34Speaker 1: when he returns once again since the Peggan Carrather eight
- 27:38Speaker 1: it two and brother. See so Bailey eight and nine
- 27:42Speaker 1: just got married this fanst week and expecting a child
- 27:47Speaker 1: and she's already three months. So they were fooling around
- 27:49Speaker 1: before they even got married. Well that's the reason why
- 27:53Speaker 1: she wanted to hurry up and getting married, sure that
- 27:55Speaker 1: she didn't want the baby to be born, you know,
- 27:58Speaker 1: before she started showing in that. Okay, yeah, yeah, but
- 28:02Speaker 1: we want to say, um, good luck to them with
- 28:06Speaker 1: their beautiful child that's on the way. Uh. Dickon Jr.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Did you have I know you were helping me collect
- 28:14Speaker 1: some of these yes week I have I have some
- 28:17Speaker 1: dickon def jam go ahead, uh uh dickon jor trying
- 28:22Speaker 1: to be quiet had to do. Can you know for
- 28:28Speaker 1: brother Marcus mckittley, are you familiar with him, Deacon, I
- 28:32Speaker 1: am familiar with brother Mark. He's over the fish for
- 28:36Speaker 1: our fundraisers. Yeah. Well yeah, well he well, he needs
- 28:40Speaker 1: to be replaced because over the weekend, after two fish
- 28:45Speaker 1: in five low Friday Night celebration, he left all the
- 28:49Speaker 1: bones and all the catfish and choked every baby in
- 28:54Speaker 1: the sanctual war. That's not good. We did not have
- 28:58Speaker 1: near as many of in there to perform the hamnics.
- 29:03Speaker 1: We we just need somebody else who gonna take the
- 29:06Speaker 1: time to take all the bones out or the catfish
- 29:10Speaker 1: if we have any light bread in there to be
- 29:12Speaker 1: able to We had just very little, so we had
- 29:14Speaker 1: to break it out, just really minimal for people so
- 29:18Speaker 1: they could have some capt some bread to get the catfish. Yes,
- 29:21Speaker 1: with ven, you got to put vinegar. Yeah. I noticed
- 29:26Speaker 1: that we did have a problem with catchap It seemed
- 29:28Speaker 1: like they kept running water and the wining that around
- 29:31Speaker 1: because they was low on catch up. He's not responsible
- 29:33Speaker 1: enough to be over the niche Uh. Huh uh huh,
- 29:38Speaker 1: all right, moving along, Sister Marvella West around sharing it.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Just think about anyway, go ahead, eighty one and eighty
- 29:48Speaker 1: two and pregnant, okay, some some people have children, uh Sarah, Yeah, exactly.
- 29:59Speaker 1: The Bella Jackson wants to march around wal Mart because
- 30:04Speaker 1: they keep running out of Paddy the Bells sweet Potato pass.
- 30:08Speaker 1: She said this racist, and she wants to church to
- 30:11Speaker 1: march on Saturday until they bring in something. I don't
- 30:15Speaker 1: know what highest race to bring in some pies. But
- 30:19Speaker 1: Mr Carltta Jean uh uh Bayliss says, uh, that's gonna
- 30:25Speaker 1: run into her hat cell that she has going on
- 30:27Speaker 1: at the church. And ain't nobody having to do all
- 30:29Speaker 1: this march and so we have an issue with that.
- 30:33Speaker 1: M has problems right right, So we're gonna have to
- 30:42Speaker 1: get that to pass and figure out if we're gonna
- 30:45Speaker 1: march at wild Mart. Are we going to um continue
- 30:49Speaker 1: on with the hats seal that march because I love
- 30:53Speaker 1: patties pies Patty yeah, go ahead and j yes uh.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Since shearlet Degan deaf jam, I just want to let
- 31:05Speaker 1: y'all know that Brother Carson of the church asked if
- 31:09Speaker 1: he could re enact the wonderful picture that he painted
- 31:15Speaker 1: of our immigrants coming over, because he felt he was misunderstood.
- 31:20Speaker 1: He just want to show y'all exactly what they was
- 31:23Speaker 1: doing on this ship. They want to show that all
- 31:26Speaker 1: of the tea parties, they was having all of the
- 31:30Speaker 1: nice fun that it was. We as if he don't mind,
- 31:32Speaker 1: we could just show y'all because he felt like he
- 31:35Speaker 1: would misunderstood. Yeah. Yeah, you know, there was no chains
- 31:39Speaker 1: on there. You know, everybody had full suits on. So
- 31:46Speaker 1: we just want to just show y'all if y'all don't mind.
- 31:48Speaker 1: He just want to show y'all exactly what they looked
- 31:49Speaker 1: like because he felt like he was misunderstood. Yeah, you know,
- 31:54Speaker 1: he was showing that you know sometimes that the captain
- 31:56Speaker 1: let let some of the immigrants come up and drive
- 31:58Speaker 1: the ship over here. So we just want to answer
- 32:01Speaker 1: if you just go ahead and just do a reenactment. No,
- 32:07Speaker 1: he felt like he was misunderstood. Yeah, Uncle Being said that,
- 32:11Speaker 1: Brother Ben, Yes he did, he asked, and uncle being
- 32:14Speaker 1: a brother Ben, uncle being got rice. Yeah, why they
- 32:20Speaker 1: moved him over to the on the right box. Uncle
- 32:23Speaker 1: Ben was on the ship that's well passing on Rice.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Come on, huh, Uncle Ben is now on the box.
- 32:35Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. As we mentioned,
- 32:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey is off today after a big day down
- 32:44Speaker 1: at Disney World for the Disney Dreamer's tenth anniversary, and
- 32:49Speaker 1: that went well went well as you heard, I'm sure
- 32:53Speaker 1: on Friday for our live broadcast. Carlo is off today
- 32:56Speaker 1: as well. The nephews here. Junior is here, Shirley Strawberrea
- 32:59Speaker 1: is your nephew? Miss Anna's here is They didn't check in.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Steve didn't check in with nobody, to be all really dark.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Did tell me who he kept checking me? Somebody he
- 33:13Speaker 1: got check in with? Somebody? You can't just I knew
- 33:16Speaker 1: he didn't when you when when when you note? When
- 33:19Speaker 1: you note? Oh what? I wouldn't hold that through him there,
- 33:30Speaker 1: Miss Anna, see anybody will deal would discuss all of
- 33:33Speaker 1: that that just happened. Later we got Nasal News with
- 33:38Speaker 1: the beautiful miss and Trip. Listen, thank you, thank you.
- 33:43Speaker 1: I don't know when he noted. I didn't noted you.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good work, good morning, go Tommy, okay,
- 33:54Speaker 1: this is and Trip everybody, Good morning everyone. Republican Santor
- 33:57Speaker 1: to John McCain, who was chairman of the Center Armed
- 34:00Speaker 1: Services Committee, was on CNN State of the Union yesterday
- 34:03Speaker 1: asking the President President Trump to provide the information needed
- 34:07Speaker 1: to prove that assertion. He says President Obama ordered his
- 34:10Speaker 1: phone tapped during last year's election process. They want to
- 34:12Speaker 1: see the proof. Our Director of National Intelligence, General Clapper,
- 34:16Speaker 1: testified that there was absolutely no truth to that allegation.
- 34:20Speaker 1: The President is one of two choices, either retract or
- 34:24Speaker 1: to provide the information that the American people deserve. I
- 34:28Speaker 1: have no reason to believe that the charge is true,
- 34:31Speaker 1: but I also believe that the President United States could
- 34:35Speaker 1: clear this up in a minute. That's right. Members of
- 34:37Speaker 1: the House Intelligence Committee say they want the Justice Department
- 34:40Speaker 1: to hand over any evidence they have of the President's
- 34:42Speaker 1: wire President Obama's wire tapes happening, and they want about
- 34:46Speaker 1: the President of Trump's claims about it by the end
- 34:49Speaker 1: of this day. Today to day is the last day
- 34:51Speaker 1: they want to see the evidence they have. In playing
- 34:53Speaker 1: of terms, lawmakers are asking the president to either put
- 34:56Speaker 1: up a shut up. The most prominent US attorney in
- 34:58Speaker 1: the nation, meanwhile, pre Barrara is going, but he's not
- 35:01Speaker 1: going quietly. Barrara says he was asked to resign with
- 35:04Speaker 1: all the rest of the holdovers from the administration, but
- 35:07Speaker 1: he refused, so he was fired right after he was elected.
- 35:11Speaker 1: You may remember President Trump said the Baraba could stay on,
- 35:14Speaker 1: but that apparently changed. By Friday night, many of the
- 35:16Speaker 1: U S attorneys asked to quit had publicly announced their resignations.
- 35:19Speaker 1: Prau and Prepara says, yeah, well, just in case you
- 35:21Speaker 1: want to know, I didn't resign, I was. I was
- 35:23Speaker 1: let go. In Texas, the three judge panel get this
- 35:26Speaker 1: has rule that Republicans in Texas drew up the congressional
- 35:29Speaker 1: district lines there in such a way as to weaken
- 35:32Speaker 1: the power of minority groups at the ballot box, a
- 35:34Speaker 1: power that former President Obama tried to protect before leaving office.
- 35:38Speaker 1: The judges did not propose an immediate fix of the situation. However,
- 35:41Speaker 1: in the state of Texas could steal appeal to the
- 35:44Speaker 1: U S. Supreme Court. Republicans hold two of the three
- 35:47Speaker 1: congressional districts ruled invalid because the judges said that they
- 35:50Speaker 1: were created with discriminatory intent, mostly against Latinos. Sad News.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Joni Sledge, one of the members of the group's sister
- 35:58Speaker 1: Sledges passed on. Yeah. Jonie Sledge found dead in her
- 36:01Speaker 1: Phoenix home one Friday. She was a sixty years old.
- 36:05Speaker 1: The cause of death with Jonie Sledge has not been determined.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Jony and her sisters Kathy, Kim and Debbie may remember
- 36:10Speaker 1: form Sister Sledge in the nineteen seventies in their hometown
- 36:14Speaker 1: of A, Philly, and that has become an anthem for
- 36:16Speaker 1: so many of us, just family members or for women.
- 36:19Speaker 1: They used it. So many people use that as their
- 36:21Speaker 1: their anthem. We are family. Tops to the box office
- 36:23Speaker 1: this weekend. Kong Skull Island Lemonists all the ways you're
- 36:28Speaker 1: gonna die rain, heat, disease, carrying flies, I mean, having
- 36:32Speaker 1: started on the things that want to be you're lying.
- 36:35Speaker 1: We'll double the plus a bonus if we make it back. Yes,
- 36:41Speaker 1: if born in sixty one million dollars. Logan number two,
- 36:45Speaker 1: Get Out, which you gotta see came in at number three,
- 36:48Speaker 1: and believe it or not, Hidden Figures is still in
- 36:50Speaker 1: the top ten. It was number seven this weekend, even
- 36:53Speaker 1: though he was snubbed by the Oscars. That's right and
- 36:55Speaker 1: all the other stuff. You don't even see that in
- 36:57Speaker 1: the top ten anymore. Now back to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Yes it is. You gotta go check it out. It's
- 37:04Speaker 1: a it's a fun movie. Even though it's like a
- 37:07Speaker 1: build as a horror movie, it's still, you know, a
- 37:09Speaker 1: good story and everything. I want to see you and
- 37:12Speaker 1: you don't sit with horror movies now. But it's not
- 37:16Speaker 1: like scary evil scary like that. It's not like that.
- 37:20Speaker 1: But it's fun. You gotta go check it out. Uh,
- 37:23Speaker 1: congratulations going out to Kevin Hart. What kid done now? Okay?
- 37:28Speaker 1: Kevin Hart and Ghostbusters were the big winners at Saturday's
- 37:31Speaker 1: Kids Choice Awards. Kevin took home three Orange blimps, including
- 37:36Speaker 1: Favorite Villain for his turn as a murderous bunny in
- 37:39Speaker 1: the Secret Life of Pets. Remember that Ghostbusters also walked
- 37:44Speaker 1: away with three trophies, including Favorite Movie. Justin Timberlake came
- 37:48Speaker 1: into the night with the most nominations. He had seven
- 37:50Speaker 1: nominations coming in, but he went home empty handed. John Cena,
- 37:55Speaker 1: the wrestler, served as host of the show. Uh performances,
- 37:59Speaker 1: but yeah, uh yeah, it was, it was. It was good.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I'm just so happy for Kevin. Kevin beast Man a
- 38:07Speaker 1: base Yeah he is Uh, today is uh, this is
- 38:12Speaker 1: interesting National Napping Day. I'm with. Yeah, this day is
- 38:18Speaker 1: observed every year the following the return of daylight savings.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Time you lost an hour of sleep, So go ahead
- 38:25Speaker 1: take a nap today. For sure your boss won't mind.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Maybe that's what Steve's doing today since he's off it
- 38:31Speaker 1: is National Napping Day. That's sure got that. I'm sure
- 38:34Speaker 1: that's what time he got that idea from? What in
- 38:37Speaker 1: right and wrong? Oh? That's where do I need to
- 38:45Speaker 1: repeat that again? Do you need to hear what national
- 38:51Speaker 1: and wrong we talked about? Yeah? Last hour? Yes, And
- 38:55Speaker 1: for those of you that weren't here, I let Junior
- 38:58Speaker 1: know that it is impossible to get pregnant at night
- 39:02Speaker 1: because your sperm seals are sleeping. Okay, don't nobody swim
- 39:09Speaker 1: at night? And that's what you gotta understand. Just as stupid.
- 39:14Speaker 1: The second time around, it didn't change nothing. Uh we
- 39:22Speaker 1: talked about pregnant getting pregnant during the day. Oh my god,
- 39:27Speaker 1: I mean people be at working today. I'm just said

- 39:40Speaker 1: like this. Go ahead, okay, Sierra Russell Wilson had a
- 39:44Speaker 1: scary moment last Friday afternoon. They got into a car
- 39:47Speaker 1: accident and you know, Sierra's pregnant driver, who was allegedly
- 39:51Speaker 1: in the bus lane, hit the right side of the
- 39:54Speaker 1: car of the couple and their unborn baby were riding in.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Witnesses say Sierra was driving her white Mercedes truck and
- 40:01Speaker 1: make she made a left turn when a gray Volvo
- 40:04Speaker 1: SUV slammed into the front passenger side of her vehicle.
- 40:08Speaker 1: After the accident, Russell tweeted, Mama Wilson and baby Wilson

- 41:31Speaker 1: You're going to love this. You have no idea what
- 41:33Speaker 1: National day? And as I heard you into napping earlier,
- 41:36Speaker 1: but it's also break yourself? Can I get a drum

- 45:39Speaker 1: always ask me some behind the scene things, things that
- 45:42Speaker 1: you don't know. Yeah, things you don't know about Uncle Steve.

- 45:51Speaker 1: with that? Yeah, pack this out now, the check it out.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Here we go, satit stepped Tim with twin the third
- 46:01Speaker 1: nineteen seventy eight. I think Uncle Steve probably with about
- 46:05Speaker 1: twenty one years old at that time. All Right, I'm
- 46:08Speaker 1: at the house. He leaving the house to get ready
- 46:11Speaker 1: to go see Earth Wind and Fire in concert. And
- 46:16Speaker 1: the boy was buttered. I mean, looks just like I'm talking.
- 46:19Speaker 1: I got the hat on, got the whole outfit on.
- 46:22Speaker 1: He glittering, he shining paints tight, had a big cumberband
- 46:27Speaker 1: built into the paint, come all the way around the waist.
- 46:30Speaker 1: He flied, you got me, you got the visual? He
- 46:36Speaker 1: goes to the concert. Now this is just what they're
- 46:38Speaker 1: telling me after the concert is over with. But he
- 46:41Speaker 1: goes to the concert. I think he third or fourth
- 46:45Speaker 1: row got some incredible tickets. Now his favorite song is
- 46:50Speaker 1: about to jump off. But the Steve got to go
- 46:53Speaker 1: to the bath row. That's the Way of the World.
- 46:57Speaker 1: But right there, and he got to make a decision.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Shirt even you even you know, but you got to
- 47:04Speaker 1: go to the bathroom. He got to go to bathroom
- 47:05Speaker 1: real bad. And from my understanding, my uncle Steve made
- 47:10Speaker 1: an executive decision. That boy stood there on that third
- 47:16Speaker 1: row impede on himself. Like there during the whole song
- 47:22Speaker 1: of That's the Way of the World, he'd all the
- 47:26Speaker 1: way down that row. I'm talking his whole outfit, shining
- 47:31Speaker 1: red pants. Everything just completely messed up. And from this
- 47:37Speaker 1: day on, what y'all don't know, by my uncle, from
- 47:40Speaker 1: this day on, from that day on, all the way
- 47:43Speaker 1: to not Uncle Steve, where astro not draws, y'all didn't

- 48:33Speaker 1: not lying looking at him in his eyes when we

- 57:15Speaker 1: real quick check this out. This is the reason why
- 57:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey did not become a singer. Wait wait wait,
- 57:24Speaker 1: wait wait wait wait, let me interrupt you. Let's review
- 57:28Speaker 1: what was the first one? Real quickly? One more time?
- 57:31Speaker 1: People are just joining us. Oh, the first one was
- 57:33Speaker 1: the date when when he peed on himself at the
- 57:36Speaker 1: concert Earth Winning five, And then from that point on
- 57:41Speaker 1: all the way now he's been wearing astro not draws.
- 57:43Speaker 1: These are things y'all don't know that he wear astro
- 57:45Speaker 1: not draws all the time. So don't think he walked
- 57:50Speaker 1: around in briefs and all that like you win that
- 57:52Speaker 1: ain't he got on. He got on ask not draw
- 57:56Speaker 1: Here's something else y'all don't know. Steve was supposed to
- 58:00Speaker 1: in a singing group. Okay, loves music so much. Right now,
- 58:04Speaker 1: back in the day, him and the boys thought they
- 58:07Speaker 1: was gonna be that they was gonna replace the Temptations.
- 58:11Speaker 1: They was the Renovations. Okay, then, yes, it was five
- 58:20Speaker 1: of them. It was five of them when he used
- 58:22Speaker 1: to come. They used to come to my grandma house,
- 58:24Speaker 1: and they used to be practicing in the front room.
- 58:26Speaker 1: They're gonna be the Renovations, and they they practiced. I
- 58:30Speaker 1: ain't topped. I mean sun up, sundown. They getting, they
- 58:32Speaker 1: moved together and everything. So I remember this clearly because
- 58:35Speaker 1: they said, okay, we're gonna get our how done tonight
- 58:39Speaker 1: everybody come back to mar and be a rehearsal this.
- 58:43Speaker 1: So Uncle Steve decided he gonna put his conker on.
- 58:47Speaker 1: He didn't win and got some lie some egg. Now
- 58:51Speaker 1: you're supposed to have potatoes. We didn't have no potatoes
- 58:54Speaker 1: at the high. He used yams. Okay, he got absolute
- 59:00Speaker 1: all around the edges on his head. Yeah, he you
- 59:03Speaker 1: sweep take instead of potato. And I'm telling him, I say, dog,
- 59:06Speaker 1: I gotta tell you something. He said, gone pocket, I'm away,
- 59:08Speaker 1: I'm doing something. I'm gonna be part of the renovations,
- 59:11Speaker 1: I said, But I need to tell you this, he said,
- 59:13Speaker 1: gone now. Then he got all this stuff on his
- 59:15Speaker 1: hot and do you know I'm trying to tell him
- 59:18Speaker 1: that the water is shut down on the whole block.
- 59:21Speaker 1: He turned on the faucet and came rushed. Rest this
- 59:24Speaker 1: stuff out of his head. That lie completely. He had
- 59:29Speaker 1: patches and everything all over his head. Got to rehearsal
- 59:33Speaker 1: the next day and they kicked him out of the renovation.
- 59:41Speaker 1: That's why he never became a singer. Him stay renovations
- 59:44Speaker 1: of writers watch the star crame. He never became tomorrow.
- 59:47Speaker 1: He'll be back tomorrow. Never became one of the renovations.
- 59:51Speaker 1: All right, Well you know you were there. All right,
- 59:59Speaker 1: let's get into the at are now subject. Sometimes it's
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: best to tell a lie. Dear Stephen Shirley, I have
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: been with the same man for the last seven years.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: I love this man with all my heart and would
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: do anything for him. We have been engaged for six
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: years and have not gotten married yet because of a
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: few issues. There is hesitation on his part because of
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: his lack and a lack of trust in me. It's
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: my fault. Not too long ago, I lied about an
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: accident I had in my car. Then I ended up
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: telling him the truth about what happened because I finally
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: admitted it. He claims that I cannot be trusted. We
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: argue often about him uh, not being able to let
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: this go. I also recently decided to lie to him
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: about a bill being paid in order to keep the peace.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: I know it was wrong, but I thought it was
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: the right thing to do for the sake of arguing.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: This just made things worse. I ended up paying the bill,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: but not before he discovered that I lied about it.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: He has told me that he is not sure if
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: he can trust me because of these lies. He says
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: he wants to work things out and stay together, but
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: I can tell he is holding a grudge. Is there
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: anyone else that believes in telling a lie in order
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: to keep the peace? I think he's overreacting. Am I
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: wrong for thinking that? Should I insist that he just
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: go ahead and leave? Or should I leave? Please help? Well,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: looks like you've come to the right place for sure. Uh.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: And I really hate to say this, I really do,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: But your problem was lying in the first place, because
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: after you lie, you have to keep the lie going
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: once you started. Haven't you learned anything from listening to
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: the show. You have to keep the lie going. Unfortunately, Uh,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: coming clean is just not an option if you want
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: to keep this man. But you did come clean, didn't you.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: You did you finally decided to own up to the
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: truth because you're conscious was eating away at you and
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: stuff like that. I mean, these weren't like big major
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: you know, like cheating lies or anything like that. Uh,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you know, this wasn't those kind of lites. But some
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: people just have a problem with other people lying to them,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: and and I get that. I mean, I'm one of
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: those people. I don't like people telling me lies because
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: when you lie to me, it makes me think you
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: think I'm stupid, and I don't like that. So, you know,
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: maybe it's that, or maybe he's just using an excuse,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: this as an excuse. Have you thought about this to
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: not marry you? You guys have been together for six years,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: seven years, engaged for six What is he waiting on
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: to pop the question? Now? You just gave him a
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: reason to hold off for another six years? All right?
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: So when you asked the question, uh, are you wrong?
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: H I mean, should you insist that he just go
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: ahead and leave or should you leave that to me?
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Is more of an issue than the actual lying stuff
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: that you did, because I think, really, really, really, uh,
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: he's just trying to prolong this marriage situation. So if
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: you want to see go ahead and leave. Go ahead
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: and leave and see what the deal will be after that.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: All right, we'll come back with the nephew HM in
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: his response, that's that's all you got, right, That's that's it.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: That's it, and I mean that, I mean it, I
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: mean that, I mean everything I say. When we come back,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: I bet you alright. Part two, the nephew is coming
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: back his take on this letter subject sometimes it's best
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: to tell a lie. We'll be back at eighteen after
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: the hour. You're listening to the Steve alright, we're in
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: the middle of the Strawberry letter. The subject sometimes it's
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: best to tell a lie? Up next the nephew's response,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: I'm sure you're gonna have some great advice for a
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: few You're not into lying. That's up next. You tell
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: the truth all the time. All right. Here we go
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: back to the letters subject sometimes it is best to
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: tell a lie. This young lady wrote in she's been
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: with the same man for the last seven years. They've
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: been engaged for six. She wants to get married. But
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: the reason they haven't got married, she said, is her
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: fault because not too long ago, she lied to him
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: about something about an accident she had in the car,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: and Uh, he says he can't trust her. Then there
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: was this business about an unpaid bill. She lied and
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: told him she had paid the bill. He found out
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: she didn't pay it. So he constantly brings up the
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: fact that he can't trust her. That's why they can't
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: move forward and get married in their relationship. So she
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: wants to know is she wrong um for for thinking
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: that he's overreacting? Uh? Is there anyone else on the
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: show that believes in telling a lie in order to
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: keep the pa? And should she insist that he goes
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: that goes ahead and leaves or should she leave? And
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: she wants our help, Nephew, Lying is good for the soul.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: You have to lie? Lying? What? What is? Why are
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: you so down on yourself about your lying? Baby? You
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: got to lie. I don't know a relationship that's not
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: built on ling. Uh? What have you ever seen truth
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: keep a relationship together? No, you gotta lie, baby. Let
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: me tell you something. If you had an accident, if
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: you're claiming you had an accident in your car. Do that?
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Take your car, run it into something, ride your lying out.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: You got to be a beast with your lie, girl,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: and you lied about the bill. Let me tell you something.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: If you lied about this bill, every time you walk
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: in the house, be on the phone cutting them people
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: out about that being you got what you rock? What
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: soon does he soon as he walked in? I know,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: damn well I paid the build. I don't know why
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: y'all keep calling me with this man and then hanging
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: the phone up. I told you I'm sickening people down there.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: I'm sick of paid this building and keep on coming
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: back and forth with this. You got to ride, Joe, lie.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: You got to commit to your life. Let me tell
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: you something. You ain't lying good until you believe it.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Believe your lie. You understand me. You know how many
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: people believe they lying? Got with Look at old Jay,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: didn't they get off? O? J wrote that line didn't
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: look how long? Didn't really be nearly lined up? Didn't
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: they lie? Mara Cary lied New Year's Evenight? Ain't some
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: one damn song line? How my line sold you? Lying time?
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Chris Brown? And you know you can't sitting up in
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: that line. This is good. You can lie, baby, but
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: you got to believe in your life. If you don't
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: want to say they lie, that they what they call it,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: not that the alternative facts is, it's still a lie.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: You can have live. It's women walking around lying right now.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: No damn well, that ain't your hell, That is not
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: your heal. You're lying. There ain't your breast. You're lying.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: That ain't your But you're lying, baby, everybody lying. You
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: just gotta commit to your line, and you don't know
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: how to commit to it. That's your problems. I can
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: get you through it. You just gotta take a nice
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: little old lie. Class. I don't know nobody, class. I
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: don't know nobody who has told the truth and it
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: did some good form. It ain't if there isn't anyone, baby,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something being paid out on national
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: TV right now, President Trum lying about the President of

- 1:13:36Speaker 1: new survey Tommy has found that married men are having
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: less sex today than they were fifteen years ago. Okay,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: married guys, this is true, and guys in committed relationships,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: on average, we're doing it sixteen fewer times per year
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: between two thousand and ten and two thousand fourteen than
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: they were between two thousand and two thousand four They
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: were all are getting busy nine fewer times from two
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: thousand ten to two thousand fourteen compared to and to nine.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Okay you got that, mm hmm, so okay, you got
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: and you say you're okay, so now you're married. Yeah,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: once they're three weeks nine, it's it's a damn shame
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: over here, man, it's everything. I'm over here on, I'm
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: over here on damn shame. I'm just telling your junior
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: before you come over here. I'm over here on damn shame. Okay, Well,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: let's see what Junior is doing in his life. It
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: says the same survey says single men Junior, on the
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: other hand, have enjoyed the same amount of action throughout
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: the two two decades. Okay, you got that, so you
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: haven't changed, You have not changed. I'm busy. Uh, I'm good. Yeah,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: it says son Junior. Once a week, how many times? Ah? Nah?
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: Nine seven days were double up on Thursdays. That's what
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: I'm talking about. Who makes me proud? Yeah, man, I'm
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: over here pulling weeds out to be everything, man doing nothing.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: It's under Thursdays you double up on stick. Not surprisingly,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: the frequency declines the older you get. This is for
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: single men. Men in their twenties. Uh do it over
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: eighty times a year. After that, it's all downhill, with
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: the numbers declining by three and a half percent each year.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: So there you go. Nine, yeah, yeah, that'll be I can't. Hey,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: you know, said hey, what you're doing. I was like, hey,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: come on, I'm now. You know what I'm doing for excitement?
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: Don't you doing? Man? I'm in wal Ma. They got
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: new holes and stuff. I'm in Target. I'm I'm I'm all.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: That turns me on. Well, I know Target, but I
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: don't know Walmart. I know Walmart. Don't let me fall
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: off at home depot. That it's it's it's it's on
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: in poppit that's that's where my love is. Now I'm
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: in there. Well, maybe you need to get some plastic surgery,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: tommy or something. Um ain't not wrong with me? Well,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: the American Society for Plastic Surgery has been crunching numbers
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: UH last year, and they figured out that the men
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: made up about ten percent of all the cosmetic surgeries
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: performed for the year. Yeah, okay, number five, Number five,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: men are getting botox. These are the top five things
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: that the men are getting. Uh yeah, botox number four,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: they're getting nose surgery, rhinoplastic number three. I lid surgery.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: Number two. I think it lifts your eyes. When you
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: were kids, used to take your fingers, remember, yeah, remember
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: when you were kids used to take your fingers. Yeah, okay,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Number two, this is crazy. Number two male breast reduction
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: right now, Why are you crazy? You ain't come up
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: to me, and you ain't come up to ask me
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: to snap that out for you to back you know
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: what they call them moves man boobs. Okay, moves all right.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Number one is LiPo section. LiPo section for guys. I
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: could see that. Forgot that. Breasts reduction and eyelid surgery. Really,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: I can't, man, I came, I came, be your home boy.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: You said, don't tell me you need a breast reduction.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: We're not free norma at all. So yeah, maybe if
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: you get that, then maybe you know, you get more.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: So I don't know how that works in the boatoxes
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: for what again? You know, for those lines and you're
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: like forehead and stuff, and uh, some people put it
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: under their arms if they sweat too much, they have
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: too much perspiration. I got an uncle that's perfect for this.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Please tell me the information on near we get Johnny.
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: Stop sweating for no reason, Uncle Johnny. He's got to
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: get some stronger deodoran. That's all. Why you gotta go
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: do this is here all right, let's let's get ready

- 1:19:06Speaker 1: That's your problem. Anyway. Anyway, you ready eight seven seven nine,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: Steve call us if you want to confess to the nephew.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Let's go to line too. Is this his real name?
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Tyrone out of North Carolina? I thought you told him
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: to use a fake name. He might not be Tyrone,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: Tyrone Tyrone? How are y'all? Are you? Good man? How
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: you doing this morning? Good morning, good morning, good morning
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: to everybody. I'm sorry, Steve don't admit to hear this,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: but uh, I got a go ahead. Tell me this
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: is strictly for you, Okay, all right. I'm a I'm
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: a police officer, been a police I'm a veteran police
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: officer in North Carolina. Now I know you had said,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: uh that I can discuss some names, because that's what
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: I'm going to do. So I was working extra duty,
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: UM working at the local Walmart. UM they I was
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: seeing a manager there and which was kind of good
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: because I could see her while I'm working advice. First, Well,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: in the corner of my eye, I saw a girl
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: friend who was trying to hook up with that would
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: had a Walmart smock over her left arm, and uh,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: now I'm gonna call her Tamika. Sonika comes up to
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: me and says, hey, what are you doing? Let's work next?
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: You do? She says, well, I just this is my
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: first work here. Yeah. Now the story of this, it's
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: called a beta in a box. Now be for a
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: bad word, but a D in a box. So as
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: I'm as I'm getting as the time goes on, is
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: I'm getting off work, I go and just to make
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: sure that everything is okay, I go take your stroll
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: through Walmart. So I'm basically looking for either one of them.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: I find on them too. On one oil when the
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: manager basically looks at me with and I like, you
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: know how you knew him? Do? I immediately turned around
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: and walk out. I am I am busted. So now
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: my ship is about to get over. And the manager
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: walked up to me and says, hey, can I meet
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: you somewhere? I need to talk with you. I said,
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: oh lord, here we go. I said, what do you
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: want me to meet at the firehouse down the road?
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: You know plush firefighters there they're sleep and me get
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: the firehouse in front? So what that can happen in
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: front of a firehouse? So the mary I knew the
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: manager was moving. That's why I started seeing this other
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: other ladies. So she comes up. She comes up in
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: her car and I see a car full of boxes.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: She asked me about the other woman, and I said, no, no, no,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: that one was just a badge. No, no, no, no, no,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: she is nothing to me. I don't even hardly know her.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: She wants to get with me, Tommy, Tommy, what does
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: she do? I'm looking for a vain What popped out
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: of the box? What she pops out? The other girl
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: popps out of the box and said, we're going to
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: get your ass. Oh I'm sorry, excuse me? Yeah, she
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: she's I basically put my patrol car and drive and
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: I am gone. We'll guess what, because they're they're chasing
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: me in my police car. Somebody chasing the police, not
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: I chased by two women. Even she's a point to
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: where I don't even having to go through some intersections
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: and they're right behind me. So fine, are you? Tyron said?
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: What better place to go hide? Is the police station?
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: You want? Okay, you went to the precinct. I went
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: to the priestmint. They turned around and said, we've got
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: your number. We're gonna get you. I said, okay, that
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: that's fine. Whatever. I run back into the police station.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: Why let me ask you that why they were driving?
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: What the girls steal in the box knows well? She
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: was crawling out. She had crawled into the front seat
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: as I put my car and drive. They were driving
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: the Saturn. I didn't think those little stands can keep us.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: So anyway, anyway, they're going again. One of them called
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: me and says, well, guess what I am moving. You're done,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: I'm over with That's okay, I said, I apologize, you know,
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: I tried to play it all to guess what the
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: other one did. Later on that night, they called Tyrone.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: Can you go to you rod it? Let's see what
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: a good high speed chase you man. This was the
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: last story ever, man, but it was worth it at
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: the end. Alright, alright, I think we have time for another.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Let's go to line for cat and talk to Tiffany
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: out of New York. Tiffany, Okay, what's going on that field?
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Go ahead, Tiffany. Yeah. This past weekend I played a
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: little point on my sister's so called boyfriend. I used
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: her phone and found out there was nothing but a cheater.
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: So yeah, so basically I was spying for her and
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: found out that you know, everything that I was, you know,
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: my hunt was on. It was true. Yeah, he told me.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: I mean, and the thing is he was parting with
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: me everything, taught me everything, I mean, even trying to
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: hook up with me. So you're calling to confess for
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: him that he was a cheater. Yeah, basically because um yeah,
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: I was pretending to be my sister just fine for
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: her and I end up telling her and she end
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: up taking him to the curse. Oh that's good weekend. Yeah, okay,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: all right, job well done. Yeah, let's go to line
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: five and talk to Talicia out of d C. Okay,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: let's go to line seven and talk to Mike. Sorry
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: about that, Tommy. Let's talk to it. Mike out of Tennessee. Mike,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: it is, what's up? Mike? Hey, what's going on? Brother?
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: Talk to me, Mike. I mean, you're gonna be proud,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: and you're gonna be proud. But me and my girl
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: into it, and I don't spoil them. From day one,
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: I was probably going to get about five six years.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: She ain't got to play for nothing but her bills.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: So she gets mad at me because I told I
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: ain't had an extra money for her to just go
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: mess off with her friends. I'm like, no, we and
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: I was going stack a little more and they didn't
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: do with some stuff you want. She gets made get
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: into it her home girl over there. So I was like, man, look,
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: I ain't even to take myrdcasts. I'll strike off walking.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: So about mid way down the streets, her friend pulls
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: up beside. Its right, where are you going? And why
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: are you walking? And I don't worry about it, man,
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: she said, We're getting in hopped the cow with her.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: So we end up at the looking store going down
