- 0:01Speaker 1: Let's start with facts. Number one, we have a broken border.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Number two, it was broken on purpose to fundamentally change
- 0:11Speaker 1: this country. Now we know just how bad the broken
- 0:15Speaker 1: border is, and a perfect example of it are the
- 0:18Speaker 1: numbers that are coming out from the Christmas weekend. Christmas
- 0:23Speaker 1: is usually a time when people want to hang out
- 0:25Speaker 1: with their families. Christmas is a time when you usually
- 0:28Speaker 1: hit pause in your life and you sit, you rest,
- 0:33Speaker 1: you spend time with family and friends. But not if
- 0:37Speaker 1: you're breaking into the United States of America. Twenty nine
- 0:42Speaker 1: thousand illegal immigrants were apprehended at the border during the
- 0:49Speaker 1: Christmas weekend. New numbers are showing border patrol agents apprehended.
- 0:57Speaker 1: This is not including the goudaways, those that broke into
- 1:00Speaker 1: this country that they did not catch. These are just
- 1:03Speaker 1: the people they apprehended. Border patrol agents apprehended more than
- 1:08Speaker 1: twenty nine thousand illegal immigrants during the Christmas weekend. Most
- 1:17Speaker 1: American families were enjoying the celebrations of Christmas. As I
- 1:21Speaker 1: mentioned with what family and friends, what was border patrol doing?
- 1:25Speaker 1: During the same time, Border patrol agents stayed to their
- 1:29Speaker 1: tasks of now processing, being chauffeurs, transporting, and being nannies
- 1:38Speaker 1: caring for all the illegal immigrants coming across the southern border,
- 1:43Speaker 1: and then what do they do? They did what the
- 1:45Speaker 1: Biden administration demands. After being babysitters chauffeurs. They then were
- 1:54Speaker 1: told to release the twenty nine thousand migrants that it
- 1:59Speaker 1: pushed across the southern border by human smuggling cartels that
- 2:03Speaker 1: are richer now than at any point in the history
- 2:07Speaker 1: of drug cartels, making more money now off of human
- 2:11Speaker 1: beings who they rape, beat, rape again, sexually assault and
- 2:16Speaker 1: molest the children because adults and children are making them
- 2:21Speaker 1: more money than drugs. Border patrol agents signed to the
- 2:28Speaker 1: nine Southwest Border Patrol Sectors apprehended as they have now
- 2:33Speaker 1: officially recorded more than twenty nine thousand migrants they illegally
- 2:38Speaker 1: cross the border between the ports of entry between December
- 2:41Speaker 1: and twenty second and Christmas Day. On Thursday, December, the
- 2:48Speaker 1: twenty first agents apprehended at least nine thousand more immigrants
- 2:54Speaker 1: illegal immigrants. Add that number, you're now at forty thousand.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Them in a four day period.
- 3:04Speaker 1: This brought the total for the last five days to
- 3:07Speaker 1: more than forty thousand apprehensions. Of those that were caught
- 3:11Speaker 1: and again this does not count the quote godaways. The
- 3:18Speaker 1: numbers included in these reports are likely understated the true
- 3:23Speaker 1: number of apprehensions, as migrants who are kept camping in
- 3:28Speaker 1: outdoor detention areas along the border's edge are not counted
- 3:34Speaker 1: until they're processed into border patrol shelters. Law enforcement sources
- 3:39Speaker 1: have confirmed. So when you see the pictures of those
- 3:43Speaker 1: that are sitting there at the border, when you see
- 3:47Speaker 1: those that are sitting there waiting for border patrol agents
- 3:53Speaker 1: to process them, those numbers are not counted.
- 3:57Speaker 2: What does this mean.
- 3:59Speaker 1: It means the number that I told you a moment
- 4:01Speaker 1: ago could actually be almost double what I actually stated.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Let me give you an example of that. The Tucson
- 4:10Speaker 1: sector remain the hot spot along the US Mexico border.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Tucson agents apprehended at least twelve thousand, two hundred and
- 4:21Speaker 1: fifty migrants during the five day period. This was just
- 4:25Speaker 1: slightly ahead of the nearly record twelve thousand migrants that
- 4:29Speaker 1: were apprehended in the Del Rio.
- 4:32Speaker 2: Sector during the same period.
- 4:35Speaker 1: The massive swell of migrants crossing through Mexico and entering
- 4:39Speaker 1: the United States of America have now forced officials in
- 4:43Speaker 1: the Del Rio sector to shut down all operations at
- 4:47Speaker 1: the multiple border patrol stations as well as interior highway
- 4:52Speaker 1: immigration checkpoints, so they can take that staff to then
- 4:57Speaker 1: be you guessed at chauffeur babysitters and processors of paperwork
- 5:04Speaker 1: not protecting the border, waving a white flag saying come
- 5:08Speaker 1: on over now. This move leaves more than ten thousand
- 5:14Speaker 1: square miles, all of this designed on purpose by the
- 5:18Speaker 1: Biden administration within the sector without any border patrol presence.
- 5:24Speaker 1: In recent weeks, the Biden administration also purposely shuttered the
- 5:30Speaker 1: Eagle Pass Bridge one port of entry, as well as
- 5:33Speaker 1: the railroad bridge linking Eagle Pass to Mexico. Why did
- 5:39Speaker 1: they do this to reassign personnel to address the continuing
- 5:44Speaker 1: migrant surge. I take a moment to think about what
- 5:49Speaker 1: I just told you and what it means is the
- 5:53Speaker 1: cartels know that we have fewer agents on patrol during
- 5:57Speaker 1: this holiday season. We know that this heightened alert usually
- 6:05Speaker 1: that we do during times of massive surges is gone.
- 6:11Speaker 1: We know that US costumes and border patrols said this quote,
- 6:14Speaker 1: with no agents on patrol inland or on the immediate border,
- 6:20Speaker 1: we are inviting them to come and move country band
- 6:24Speaker 1: or high value targets at will with no threat of apprehension.
- 6:29Speaker 1: So there is a ten thousand square mile area that
- 6:35Speaker 1: there are no customs and Border protection, there are no agents,
- 6:39Speaker 1: there's no patrols Inland.
- 6:42Speaker 2: There is no.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Body there to stop massive flows of drugs, including fetnyl
- 6:49Speaker 1: or high value targets. What does this also mean? It
- 6:54Speaker 1: means those on the terrace watch lists no when and
- 6:57Speaker 1: where to cross our border with no ch chants of
- 7:00Speaker 1: being apprehended. Those that are terrorists that are want to
- 7:04Speaker 1: cause us harm know that right now there's a wide
- 7:06Speaker 1: open border and they can come and go as they please.
- 7:10Speaker 1: On the Friday before Christmas, Customs and Border patrol officials
- 7:15Speaker 1: snuck out the Southwest Land Border Encounters report for November.
- 7:22Speaker 1: The report revealed the continuing crisis and the conditions along
- 7:26Speaker 1: the southern border as agents apprehended ready for this number
- 7:32Speaker 1: one hundred and ninety one thousand migrants during the second
- 7:38Speaker 1: month of the new physical year twenty twenty four, quote
- 7:44Speaker 1: BI strategically holding the release of these numbers until the
- 7:48Speaker 1: Friday before Christmas. The Department of Homeland Security Secretary of
- 7:52Speaker 1: mayorcus Is unabashafullly showing the full measure of his duplicity.
- 7:58Speaker 1: That's what Chairman Green said, andri and statement, these numbers
- 8:02Speaker 1: are so bad he wants his few Americans to see
- 8:05Speaker 1: them as possible. The numbers of apprehensions up from October's
- 8:11Speaker 1: report as well, bringing the total number in the last
- 8:14Speaker 1: two months to almost four hundred thousand illegal immigrants crossing.
- 8:20Speaker 2: That we've apprehended for more than ten years.

- 9:55Speaker 1: told you, there's a new headline from NBC News. Migrant
- 9:59Speaker 1: caravan heads towards US southern border had a Blincoln's trip
- 10:03Speaker 1: to Mexico. Seven thousand, five hundred people are estimated to
- 10:07Speaker 1: be a part of the massive group. Organizers of the
- 10:10Speaker 1: migrant caravan have said they can't wait to get to
- 10:13Speaker 1: America where they know that they will be accepted. This
- 10:17Speaker 1: caravan and again this is coming from NBC News. They're
- 10:22Speaker 1: now saying that this is a massive group and there's
- 10:25Speaker 1: others that are planned after this. The Today's Show putting
- 10:29Speaker 1: it this way. Listen carefully. This is how the again,
- 10:33Speaker 1: and this is how the Today's Show is now reporting
- 10:36Speaker 1: the migrant crisis problem at our southern border.
- 10:41Speaker 3: This morning, the Southern Borders migrant crisis marching on this
- 10:45Speaker 3: video capturing the largest caravan in more than a year
- 10:48Speaker 3: and estimated eight thousand men, women and children in Shiapas,
- 10:52Speaker 3: Mexico near Guatemala, all of them headed north. Organizers say
- 10:58Speaker 3: the group swelled by nearly two thousand pe people in
- 11:00Speaker 3: a single day, many hoping for a better life, many
- 11:04Speaker 3: more road weary and exhausted. The caravan moving as the
- 11:08Speaker 3: Mexican president welcomes US Secretary of State Antony Blincoln. The
- 11:12Speaker 3: Mexico City meeting, set for later today, expected to focus
- 11:16Speaker 3: on the unprecedented irregular migration and border security between the
- 11:20Speaker 3: neighboring countries. The visit following a recent phone call between
- 11:24Speaker 3: President Biden and Mexico's leader.
- 11:26Speaker 4: The two leaders agreed that additional enforcement actions are urgently needed.
- 11:31Speaker 3: It comes as the number of migrants and cities across
- 11:33Speaker 3: the country are reaching record levels, with New York City
- 11:36Speaker 3: seeing up to four thousand people arriving each week. Local
- 11:40Speaker 3: shelters and services overwhelmed and struggling to keep up.
- 11:43Speaker 2: We have no more room in the city.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Meanwhile, on the ground and Eagle Pass a surprising lull
- 11:51Speaker 3: in crossings Tuesday, following a record breaking week where thousands
- 11:55Speaker 3: of migrants lined the banks of the Rio Grande and
- 11:58Speaker 3: processing took hours, if not days. Outside of shelter, we
- 12:02Speaker 3: met Osmani, Median and Denison Don't devon.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Where are you going now? Oklahoma?
- 12:08Speaker 3: Oklahoma, Los Angeles. Medeon forro Venezuela says she's now waiting
- 12:14Speaker 3: until her asylum hearing after a five month journey here.
- 12:18Speaker 3: She described, similarly to so many other migrants we've heard
- 12:21Speaker 3: from a dangerous, potentially deadly track that in her mind
- 12:27Speaker 3: is worth it.
- 12:29Speaker 4: And Morgan, of course, we're heading into some colder months now.
- 12:31Speaker 1: In fact, we're already really here now in December.
- 12:34Speaker 5: How are cities preparing to manage?
- 12:37Speaker 6: Yeah? Lord, they're absolutely having to get creative. We know
- 12:40Speaker 6: that in Chicago the state is sponsoring hotel rooms for
- 12:44Speaker 6: migrant families there, while in New York City, a tin
- 12:47Speaker 6: encampment on the very outskirts of the city has just
- 12:50Speaker 6: opened up that at one point was used as a campground.
- 12:53Speaker 6: And we know that in some cases migrants are now
- 12:56Speaker 6: forced to leave a shelter after thirty days and then
- 13:00Speaker 6: reapply every inch of available space in incredibly high demand.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Now, Laura, that is now NBC News, that Today's show
- 13:09Speaker 1: reporting this.
- 13:11Speaker 2: They're telling you now how bad it is.
- 13:13Speaker 1: If they're telling you how bad it is, then imagine
- 13:16Speaker 1: what's already happened.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Now what they're not telling you.
- 13:20Speaker 1: And notice they put zero pressure on the Biden administration
- 13:24Speaker 1: to do anything to stop this. Why because this was
- 13:28Speaker 1: all created and done by design. Let me give you
- 13:32Speaker 1: another example of what's happening in different cities now. The
- 13:36Speaker 1: Chicago mayor is now pleading for federal help as he
- 13:39Speaker 1: sounds the alarm on border crisis, saying, quote the country.
- 13:43Speaker 1: This is a Democrat, Chicago liberal mayor saying that the
- 13:47Speaker 1: country is quote now at stake. The country is now
- 13:53Speaker 1: at sake. This is a Democrat mayor saying it. Not
- 13:56Speaker 1: a Republican, but a Democrat mayor. This mayor talking about
- 14:03Speaker 1: just how extreme things have gotten. He is concerned and
- 14:07Speaker 1: worried about the future of his city. For obvious reasons.
- 14:12Speaker 7: Work authorization look the technical support that we receive from
- 14:16Speaker 7: the federal government. We appreciate that work authorization to put
- 14:19Speaker 7: people on a pathway to sustainability. I certainly appreciate that.
- 14:23Speaker 7: And without real significant investment from our federal government, it
- 14:28Speaker 7: won't just be the city of Chicago that won't be
- 14:31Speaker 7: able to maintain this mission. It's the entire country that
- 14:34Speaker 7: is now at stake.
- 14:35Speaker 2: But in no way.
- 14:37Speaker 7: What the state of Texas is doing is helping the cause.
- 14:41Speaker 7: As much as we recognize that there are challenges, significant
- 14:44Speaker 7: challenges at the border.
- 14:47Speaker 1: He's referencing the fact that it's time for in Texas
- 14:50Speaker 1: is busting and sending people all over the country to
- 14:53Speaker 1: where they want to end up. Now, this Chicago mayor
- 14:56Speaker 1: that I just played for you, Brandon Johnson pleaded with
- 14:59Speaker 1: the federal government, that means the Biden administration on Wednesday,
- 15:03Speaker 1: for the federal government to take a bigger role in
- 15:06Speaker 1: tackling the migrant crisis, warning that the Wendy City in
- 15:10Speaker 1: other parts of the US are being.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Overwhelmed by the new arrivals.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Without real significant investment from our federal government, it won't
- 15:18Speaker 1: just be the city of Chicago that won't be able
- 15:20Speaker 1: to maintain this mission. Now, when they call it a mission,
- 15:24Speaker 1: I think you need to understand that. Okay, it's very
- 15:30Speaker 1: frustrating when you hear it the way that you just
- 15:32Speaker 1: heard it. But again they call it a mission. My
- 15:35Speaker 1: mission is not to allow people to break into our country.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Their mission, apparently is they're calling it a mission to
- 15:41Speaker 1: allow more people into this country.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Why because they want to fundamentally reshape this nation.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Johnson, who's forty seven, explain that he's asked the Biden
- 15:50Speaker 1: administration to set aside another fifteen billion. That's your tax dollars,
- 15:54Speaker 1: not going to help Americans, not helping go Americans, helping
- 15:57Speaker 1: American kids, not helping American veterans, not helping change our
- 16:02Speaker 1: failing schools. No fifteen billion. He needs of resources to
- 16:07Speaker 1: address the illegal immigrant issue in Chicago. Biden requested thirteen
- 16:13Speaker 1: point six billion for border security. So to be clear,
- 16:17Speaker 1: the mayor of Chicago is asking for fifteen billion while
- 16:21Speaker 1: Biden asked for thirteen point six to secure the border.
- 16:24Speaker 1: It's costing more money to take care of the illegal
- 16:27Speaker 1: immigrants in Chicago than the President's willing to spend at
- 16:31Speaker 1: the southern border. To secure the southern border. This is
- 16:35Speaker 1: how you fundamentally reshape a country.
- 16:40Speaker 2: This is how you reshape a nation.
- 16:43Speaker 1: This is how you kill the United States of America
- 16:46Speaker 1: and their full speed ahead trying to do it.
- 16:50Speaker 2: I want you to hear from Brandon Judd.
- 16:52Speaker 1: He's the Border Patrol president down there, the president of
- 16:56Speaker 1: the National Board Patrol Council. He told NEWSMAC on Wednesday
- 17:01Speaker 1: that agents along the US Mexico border are seeing a
- 17:04Speaker 1: caravan every single day. Is we now have this caravan
- 17:08Speaker 1: that is on its way to US. It is now
- 17:10Speaker 1: above thirty thousand people in it.
- 17:13Speaker 8: Listen, got caravan every single day. You know, on Christmas Day,
- 17:16Speaker 8: which is normally our slowest day of the year, we
- 17:19Speaker 8: apprehended seven times what the norm is. So we're seeing
- 17:23Speaker 8: a caravan every single day on our southwest border. What
- 17:26Speaker 8: that does is that depletes our resources. It doesn't allow
- 17:29Speaker 8: us to properly patrol the border. We seed area to
- 17:33Speaker 8: the cartels every single time. We have to take these
- 17:36Speaker 8: big groups into custody. We have to transport them, we
- 17:38Speaker 8: have to process them, we have to take them.
- 17:40Speaker 2: To the hospital.
- 17:41Speaker 8: We have to do detention security when these individuals are
- 17:44Speaker 8: in our stations. So it takes our agents out of
- 17:47Speaker 8: the field, and when our agents aren't in the field,
- 17:49Speaker 8: we can't properly patrol the border. And when we can't
- 17:51Speaker 8: do that, that means American lives are in danger. That's
- 17:54Speaker 8: when the Godaways happens. That's when there's aliens from special
- 17:57Speaker 8: interest countries, countries that want to do us harm. That's
- 17:59Speaker 8: when the fet and all the cocaine, that's when it
- 18:01Speaker 8: makes it into our country. This is a very dangerous situation.
- 18:04Speaker 8: It could be solved tomorrow if we had the proper policy.
- 18:08Speaker 8: But we can't get this administration to do what's right
- 18:10Speaker 8: by the American people.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Can't get them to do it's right by the American people.
- 18:16Speaker 1: This migrant caravan that's gone from six thousand to eight thousand,
- 18:20Speaker 1: to eleven thousand to fifteen thousand headed for the US border,
- 18:26Speaker 1: Brendon Judd, who's the president National Boarder Council, said, guys,
- 18:32Speaker 1: we're seeing these caravans every single day. To put it
- 18:35Speaker 1: in perspective, on Christmas Day, which is normally the slowest
- 18:39Speaker 1: day of the year, they apprehended seven times what the
- 18:43Speaker 1: norm is.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Quote.
- 18:44Speaker 1: We transport them, we have to process them, we have
- 18:47Speaker 1: to take them to the hospital, we have to do
- 18:49Speaker 1: tension security when these individuals are interstation, So it takes
- 18:52Speaker 1: our agents out of the field. And if you don't
- 18:55Speaker 1: think the bad guys know this, they know it. So
- 18:57Speaker 1: what happens, that's when the fetanyl, the cocaine makes it
- 19:01Speaker 1: into our country in record numbers. This caravan approaching United
- 19:05Speaker 1: States of America is the largest since June of two
- 19:08Speaker 1: thousand and twenty two. It's made up primarily of people
- 19:12Speaker 1: from Cuba, from Haiti, Honduras. Local media report that some
- 19:16Speaker 1: caravan members came from as far away as India and Bangladesh.
- 19:19Speaker 1: According to BBC, you want to know what the concern
- 19:22Speaker 1: is along that southern border. The real concern now is
- 19:25Speaker 1: what's coming in at this border and who's coming in
- 19:28Speaker 1: with them.
- 19:28Speaker 8: Listen, we're all concerned about that, especially with the Godaways.
- 19:32Speaker 7: It's one thing to.
- 19:33Speaker 8: Take somebody in custody that matches some semblance of the
- 19:36Speaker 8: Terrorists watch list, but it's another thing when you know
- 19:39Speaker 8: that thousands upon thousands of people are able to enter
- 19:42Speaker 8: our country illegally and evade apprehension. No one of those
- 19:46Speaker 8: individuals that was apprehended on the Terrorists watch list was
- 19:48Speaker 8: that pretend to the truck trunk of a vehicle in Texas.
- 19:51Speaker 8: It was Texas DPS that was able to apprehend that individual.
- 19:54Speaker 8: I can personally tell you that it is most likely
- 19:57Speaker 8: that that person was, in fact that terrorist. So we
- 20:01Speaker 8: have to look at what is depleting our resources. How
- 20:04Speaker 8: can we put our resources back in the field. How
- 20:06Speaker 8: can we actually protect American people? Because that's what every
- 20:08Speaker 8: single border til agent want to do, wants to do.
- 20:10Speaker 8: We want to protect the American people. We just can't
- 20:13Speaker 8: do it right now under the policies that were given
- 20:15Speaker 8: by this administration.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Under the policies we're given by this administration, the policies.
- 20:21Speaker 1: You notice the last thing he said, he's telling you
- 20:24Speaker 1: the truth. He's saying, Hey, guys, you need to understand
- 20:26Speaker 1: right now, this is the rules that we've been given.
- 20:31Speaker 1: This is what they've said that we have to do.
- 20:35Speaker 1: This is how we have to do it. The Biden
- 20:38Speaker 1: administration has orchestrated and planned this.
- 20:43Speaker 2: That's what they've done. They have orchestrated this.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I go back to the Mayor of Chicago, Brandon Johnson,
- 20:50Speaker 1: who's requesting more money to take care of legal immigants
- 20:53Speaker 1: for Chicago, the city of Chicago alone, Chicago proper than
- 20:57Speaker 1: the President is willing to spend to secure the southern border.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And what he said, listen carefully to it again.
- 21:03Speaker 7: The technical support that we receive from the federal government.
- 21:06Speaker 7: We appreciate that work authorization to put people on the
- 21:09Speaker 7: pathway to sustainability. I certainly appreciate that. And without real
- 21:14Speaker 7: significant investment from our federal government, it won't just be
- 21:18Speaker 7: the city of Chicago that won't be able to maintain
- 21:21Speaker 7: this mission. It's the entire country that is now at stake.
- 21:24Speaker 7: But in no way what the State of Texas is
- 21:28Speaker 7: doing is helping the cause. As much as we recognize
- 21:32Speaker 7: that there are challenges, significant challenges at the border, and
- 21:36Speaker 7: we do need real substantive immigration reform and policies that
- 21:40Speaker 7: allow us to have a structure in the pathway to citizenship,
- 21:45Speaker 7: but again, sending buses all over the state of Illinois
- 21:48Speaker 7: and all over the country is reckless and quite frankly,
- 21:50Speaker 7: is dangerous.
- 21:51Speaker 2: It's reckless and dangerous.
- 21:53Speaker 1: You notice the thing that he said there at the end,
- 21:55Speaker 1: it's the entire country that's now at stake.
- 21:58Speaker 2: But then't notice what he says.
- 22:00Speaker 1: If Congress doesn't pass a quote pathway to citizenship for
- 22:03Speaker 1: the millions of illegal migrants pouring across the open southern border.
- 22:09Speaker 1: So this Democratic mayor Brandon Johnson said it on National
- 22:13Speaker 1: TV on CNN this morning. He said, we need a
- 22:18Speaker 1: pass to a pathway to citizenship for the millions of
- 22:22Speaker 1: illegal immigrants pouring across our southern border.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Now you understand it.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Now you understand why this is happening the way that
- 22:30Speaker 1: it's happening. This mayor is telling you give them, give
- 22:35Speaker 1: them citizenship, and then everything is going to be fine.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Give the citizen, give them citizens Amnesty, folks, that's what
- 22:44Speaker 1: this is.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Amnesty.
- 22:46Speaker 1: CNN, by the way, also reporting on the border crisis,
- 22:50Speaker 1: talking about Blue states are seeing the most Google searches
- 22:53Speaker 1: now related to illegal immigration as more Americans say it's
- 22:56Speaker 1: a quote top issue. Here's how they described it as
- 23:00Speaker 1: Anthony Blincoln is a meeting with the Mexican president amid
- 23:03Speaker 1: the migrant surge.
- 23:04Speaker 2: What do voters think about immigration right now?
- 23:06Speaker 9: Yeah, it's becoming a real top issue here, So the
- 23:09Speaker 9: top issue face in the nation. Look, the economy is
- 23:12Speaker 9: still number one, it was number one in August, it's
- 23:14Speaker 9: number one now.
- 23:14Speaker 2: But take a look at the.
- 23:15Speaker 9: Immigrations slash border security. It was just eleven percent in August.
- 23:19Speaker 9: Look or it's top too now nineteen percent. So it's
- 23:22Speaker 9: closing in on the economy. And a number of different
- 23:25Speaker 9: polls I've looked at, immigration and border security is running
- 23:28Speaker 9: a closer second place to the economy as we head
- 23:31Speaker 9: in the twenty twenty four And you might be thinking, thought, Okay,
- 23:34Speaker 9: this is just Republican voters who are feeling this way.
- 23:37Speaker 9: But I want you to take a look here because
- 23:38Speaker 9: I think this is rather interesting. The most Google searches
- 23:41Speaker 9: for migrants by state. Look at all these states, phil
- 23:44Speaker 9: They're all blue states. Illinois is one, New York is two,
- 23:47Speaker 9: Massachusetts three, New Jersey is four, Colorado is five. And
- 23:51Speaker 9: of course there's been a lot of talk about the
- 23:53Speaker 9: migrant crisis in both Illinois and New York. And it
- 23:55Speaker 9: seems like even voters in those states, very blue state
- 23:58Speaker 9: states that Democrats win in general elections almost always, they
- 24:02Speaker 9: are focusing on this issue as well.
- 24:04Speaker 1: So now it's a real issue for Democrats. It's a
- 24:07Speaker 1: real issue. The mayor Rolando Salinas, Democrat from Eagle Pass, Texas,
- 24:13Speaker 1: Democrat from Eagle Past, Texas, said this about the border
- 24:18Speaker 1: this morning.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Our city here in Egle Pass. We've been getting slammed
- 24:22Speaker 2: with two to three thousand people a day, and it's
- 24:25Speaker 2: just an unfair, unethical situation. What's going on here in
- 24:29Speaker 2: Egle Pass. We feel ignored by the federal government.
- 24:33Speaker 1: We feel ignored by the federal government. You want to
- 24:35Speaker 1: know why, because you're a Democrat and Democrat city, and
- 24:39Speaker 1: they don't care if you're mad. Because they believe that
- 24:41Speaker 1: they can give amnesty to twenty million illegal immigrants and
- 24:44Speaker 1: they change this country forever.
- 24:47Speaker 2: That's what they believe.
- 24:50Speaker 1: You gotta understand. Mexico doesn't want to stop the migrant flood.
- 24:52Speaker 1: They're getting rid of their problems, and the people that
- 24:55Speaker 1: are coming across the southern border are sending money back
- 24:57Speaker 1: to their host countries. All of these countries are getting
- 25:02Speaker 1: citizens to leave, who are then becoming a financial asset
- 25:06Speaker 1: instead of a liability for their country. When people come
- 25:09Speaker 1: across the southern border, they send money back home. I
- 25:12Speaker 1: want to be clear about that, they send money back home.
- 25:17Speaker 2: In fact, a couple.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Of years ago, the dollar amounts were so staggering that
- 25:24Speaker 1: they said that illegal immigrants were sending more money back
- 25:28Speaker 1: to Mexico than they were making off oil production. That's
- 25:32Speaker 1: how massive it was. Mexico doesn't want this to stop now.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Top Mexican diplomats say talks with the US are very
- 25:40Speaker 1: good because they know this is just a delay to
- 25:42Speaker 1: keep coming across the southern border, keep flooding America, keep
- 25:45Speaker 1: sending your money home.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Listen.
- 25:46Speaker 4: Mexico and the US appear to have reached agreements on
- 25:49Speaker 4: wasted deal with a crisis on the shared border, as
- 25:53Speaker 4: senior US delegation traveled to Mexico City for talks Wednesday
- 25:56Speaker 4: with Mexico's president and other officials. Mexico's top diplomat says
- 26:01Speaker 4: the meeting was very good and details on agreements will
- 26:04Speaker 4: be announced later in joint statements. The talks come as
- 26:08Speaker 4: both US and Mexican governments are under pressure to address
- 26:11Speaker 4: an influx of migrants in recent weeks. Saint ans Rosa
- 26:15Speaker 4: Flores reports.
- 26:18Speaker 10: As border authorities near a breaking point from the weeks
- 26:21Speaker 10: long migrant surge. US Secretary of State Antony Blincoln in
- 26:26Speaker 10: Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alexandro Majorca's meet with Mexico's
- 26:30Speaker 10: President Andres Manuel Lopez or Rador in Mexico City to
- 26:33Speaker 10: discuss ways to drive down the unprecedented number of illegal
- 26:36Speaker 10: migrant crossings the seven day average earlier this month ninety
- 26:40Speaker 10: six hundred. Blincoln and majorcas are expected to ask Mexico
- 26:44Speaker 10: to move migrants south, control railways that are used by
- 26:47Speaker 10: migrants to move north, and provide migrants incentives to stay
- 26:50Speaker 10: in Mexico, like visas in Eagle Pass, Texas. Although migrant
- 26:54Speaker 10: apprehensions drop from about three thousand daily encounters last week
- 26:57Speaker 10: to about two thousand Monday, according to a law enforcement source,
- 27:01Speaker 10: one of two international bridges are still closed to vehicle
- 27:04Speaker 10: traffic to redirect personnel to process migrants. The waytime to
- 27:08Speaker 10: cross by car Wednesday afternoon and astounding fifteen hours. Many
- 27:12Speaker 10: Americans who frequently drive back and forth are opting to
- 27:15Speaker 10: cross on foot.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Le Mi Neir bracastro Kin.
- 27:21Speaker 10: She says that when she ditched her car in Mexico,
- 27:24Speaker 10: she saw a group of about one hundred migrants walking
- 27:26Speaker 10: towards Eagle Pass, some with children. One Eagle Pass business
- 27:30Speaker 10: owner says the migrant surge is tearing the community apart.
- 27:33Speaker 9: I can tell that tempers are flaring everywhere you go.
- 27:36Speaker 9: That's why I'm hoping that there is a peaceful resolution
- 27:40Speaker 9: to this crisis.
- 27:41Speaker 10: Would you like to see President Biden visit Eagle Pass?
- 27:44Speaker 2: I would very much so.
- 27:46Speaker 10: Texas State Representative Eddie Morale is a Democrat who represents
- 27:49Speaker 10: residents from eleven West Texas counties along the state's border
- 27:52Speaker 10: with Mexico. Says the federal government's ongoing closure of the
- 27:56Speaker 10: bridge and the recent five day closure of the International
- 27:59Speaker 10: Railway cost the US economy hundreds of millions of dollars
- 28:03Speaker 10: every day.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Texans are the ones that end up suffering.
- 28:06Speaker 10: Morralis says he's hopeful that the top level talks in
- 28:08Speaker 10: Mexico City will pave the way for realistic change at
- 28:11Speaker 10: the border, but says he would have liked to see
- 28:14Speaker 10: Texas Governor Greg Abbott have a seat at the table.
- 28:16Speaker 5: We're only going to get there if there's communication between
- 28:20Speaker 5: these two countries and also at the state of Texas.
- 28:23Speaker 10: Texas recently passed its own immigration bill and has come
- 28:26Speaker 10: under fire for Abbot's border security tactics like bussing and
- 28:29Speaker 10: flying migrants to blue States, separating migrant families, and deploying
- 28:34Speaker 10: controversial border buoys in Concertina wire Morales initially supported Abbot's
- 28:40Speaker 10: border security push, which has cost billions of dollars, but
- 28:43Speaker 10: now says those efforts have fallen short.
- 28:45Speaker 5: We have nothing positive to show to our taxpayers for
- 28:49Speaker 5: the amount of money that we've invested.
- 28:51Speaker 10: If you take a look behind me, you'll see an
- 28:53Speaker 10: open field with no migrants, and you might think that
- 28:56Speaker 10: there is no border crisis.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing.
- 28:58Speaker 10: The US federal government has gotten really good at something
- 29:01Speaker 10: called decompression because they've had a lot of practice. That's
- 29:04Speaker 10: when migrants that are in an area that is over
- 29:07Speaker 10: capacity are transported to an area that has processing space. Now,
- 29:11Speaker 10: when it comes to the talks in Mexico City, one
- 29:14Speaker 10: of the things that I'll be looking for is a
- 29:16Speaker 10: possible clue for the outcome.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Of those talks is the posture of.
- 29:19Speaker 10: Law enforcement on the Mexican side of the border.
- 29:23Speaker 1: So they meet in Mexico, they admit there's a problem,
- 29:27Speaker 1: they admit there's a crisis, and what are they doing
- 29:30Speaker 1: about it?
- 29:31Speaker 2: Not a damn thing, nothing at all. This coming from
- 29:34Speaker 2: a president.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Of the United States of America who created this by design.
- 29:38Speaker 1: The Democratic Party created this by design. This is success
- 29:43Speaker 1: at the highest levels for them.
- 29:46Speaker 2: This is not a bad thing. This is their success.
- 29:50Speaker 1: They're able to change this country fundamentally and what would
- 29:53Speaker 1: take maybe decades.
- 29:56Speaker 2: In a year.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Now, all they have to do is pay off on
- 29:59Speaker 1: the promise, and the promise is amnesty.
- 30:02Speaker 2: That's what will come next.
- 30:04Speaker 1: They will put a gun to our heads and say,
- 30:07Speaker 1: if you don't give us amnesty, we won't stop the
- 30:11Speaker 1: chaos of the southern border.
- 30:13Speaker 2: That's the trade. It'll get so bad.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Right.
- 30:16Speaker 2: So, now we're there and.
- 30:19Speaker 1: We've got ten thousand a day coming across, twenty thousand
- 30:21Speaker 1: a day, these surges of people that we've never seen
- 30:24Speaker 1: before coming every day, fifty thousand over the holiday weekend.
- 30:28Speaker 1: You want that to stop, fine, Let everybody that's here
- 30:30Speaker 1: get amnesty, become American citizens. We can fundamentally change this
- 30:36Speaker 1: country and then everything will be great. That'll make everything
- 30:40Speaker 1: perfect again. You'll get your safety, you'll get your security,
- 30:45Speaker 1: but you must change America and trade that in to
- 30:48Speaker 1: get it. Don't forget. Share this podcast with your family
