- 1:43Speaker 1: to turn out, turn the water the water go. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your back at uh huh. I's your will.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:05Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:08Speaker 1: radio show. Well, I gotta tell you something, everybody, And
- 2:14Speaker 1: this is great news for everybody that I'm gonna share
- 2:19Speaker 1: something with your principle of becoming successful at whatever level
- 2:25Speaker 1: you choose. It can be successful in the relationship, successful
- 2:31Speaker 1: in the family. Successes may be considered to you becoming
- 2:35Speaker 1: a homeowner. It could be being dead free. Your ideal
- 2:41Speaker 1: of success could be sixty thousand a year, fifty thousand
- 2:45Speaker 1: a year, a hundred thousand dollars a year. Doesn't matter
- 2:49Speaker 1: if you're considering it, if you're wanting it, if you
- 2:52Speaker 1: have a desire to become successful. I want to share
- 2:56Speaker 1: with you the very beginning of that. If one's ever
- 3:00Speaker 1: done it, I'm going to say the beginning of it today.
- 3:03Speaker 1: See Scripture makes it very clear for us you don't
- 3:12Speaker 1: The only thing you need to become successful is already
- 3:15Speaker 1: inside of you. It's not an external need. God wouldn't
- 3:20Speaker 1: do that to you. He puts the core basis of
- 3:25Speaker 1: everything you need inside of you. So if you discover it,
- 3:31Speaker 1: if you tend to it, nurture it, fertilize it, and
- 3:35Speaker 1: water it, it grows, it branches out. Then it reaches
- 3:40Speaker 1: out externally and it starts grabbing things outside of there
- 3:43Speaker 1: to make it even bigger, stronger, better, last longer. But
- 3:47Speaker 1: in the very beginning, you don't need anything. It's all
- 3:51Speaker 1: within you. And if you cultivate your relationship with God,
- 3:57Speaker 1: it comes out, it flourishes. Let me tell you that
- 4:01Speaker 1: thing that I'm talking about is a God given gift
- 4:04Speaker 1: that He has given to all of us. We all
- 4:07Speaker 1: possess it. It is all within us that everybody has
- 4:12Speaker 1: a gift. Had somebody told me what I know now
- 4:16Speaker 1: back then, I would have saved myself tons of mistakes.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I just didn't know the principles I had to learn
- 4:21Speaker 1: them all well. One of the principles of becoming successful
- 4:24Speaker 1: is your mind set. You got to get your mind
- 4:30Speaker 1: right now. This mindset is simply a decision that you
- 4:35Speaker 1: can make. I can't get it for you. I can
- 4:38Speaker 1: tell you what to do, but you got to make
- 4:41Speaker 1: the decision. You that listening have to decide. You know what,
- 4:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna go on and get at it. I'm gonna
- 4:46Speaker 1: stop writing. I'm gonna become a homeowner. You know what
- 4:48Speaker 1: I'm gonna do. I'm gonna stop living check to check.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm I'm gonna put a budget together. I'm gonna stop
- 4:57Speaker 1: stepping out on my family. I'm gonna home I'm gonna
- 5:00Speaker 1: get it together. I'm gonna stop using when you make
- 5:05Speaker 1: these decisions, that's correcting your mindset. Now, the closer connection
- 5:09Speaker 1: you have with God, the more help you get sustaining
- 5:12Speaker 1: the mindset. How many times have you started to do
- 5:16Speaker 1: something and you stopped? How many resolutions have you made
- 5:19Speaker 1: at the New Year and stop by February? Over by
- 5:23Speaker 1: me at January? Done in March. Because if you don't
- 5:29Speaker 1: have a clear connection with your creator to help you
- 5:32Speaker 1: carry out the other force out there, that evil force
- 5:35Speaker 1: is designed to get you not to reach your goals,
- 5:39Speaker 1: get you not to come to resolution with whatever the
- 5:42Speaker 1: resolutions are you made, so he can so you can
- 5:45Speaker 1: consider yourself not worthy or failure or unable to do something.
- 5:50Speaker 1: But the more things you are able to accomplish, the
- 5:52Speaker 1: greater your confidence goals grows. So we got to get
- 5:55Speaker 1: your mind set together. Your mindset is a decision that
- 5:59Speaker 1: you have to make. When you make the decision, you
- 6:01Speaker 1: can begin the process. Your mindset is also a will
- 6:06Speaker 1: of yours, a will along with the decision, a will,
- 6:11Speaker 1: a willingness to do right, a willingness to change, a
- 6:16Speaker 1: willingness to be better. It's going to then cause you
- 6:21Speaker 1: to have to make a decision to make a change
- 6:24Speaker 1: of direction. Don't go where everybody else going. You got
- 6:27Speaker 1: to go your way. Now. You can't follow the crowd.
- 6:31Speaker 1: You got to take a less travel path. You cannot
- 6:35Speaker 1: do this without changing your direction. You can't keep hanging
- 6:38Speaker 1: with the people you've been hanging with if you want
- 6:40Speaker 1: to be different because they're not. Then you have to
- 6:44Speaker 1: develop an obligation to yourself. You've got to say, you
- 6:49Speaker 1: know what for me and my family, or if you
- 6:52Speaker 1: don't have a family, for me, I owe it to myself.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I have an obligation to myself to be the best
- 6:58Speaker 1: meat that I can possibly be, to be the best
- 7:02Speaker 1: self that I can possibly be, to be the best father,
- 7:06Speaker 1: the best man, the best husband, the best wife, the
- 7:10Speaker 1: best mother, the best daughter, the best son, the best student,
- 7:15Speaker 1: the best employ ye, the best owner. You have an
- 7:18Speaker 1: obligation to yourself to give yourself a shot at the
- 7:23Speaker 1: best life you can. That's an obligation. You owe that
- 7:27Speaker 1: to yourself. Why would you not live the best life
- 7:30Speaker 1: that you possibly could. You have an obligation to yourself.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Why would you treat yourself like that? Why would you
- 7:37Speaker 1: take yourself and never allow yourself to see the goodness
- 7:41Speaker 1: that's already in you, to have the abundance that's been
- 7:45Speaker 1: promised to you, to go and explore all the riches
- 7:50Speaker 1: out there that's available to you. And but one of
- 7:56Speaker 1: the worst ways that you can rob yourself of the
- 7:59Speaker 1: joy of your obligation is to keep comparing yourself to
- 8:02Speaker 1: somebody else. Because guess what, Man, that ain't your life.
- 8:07Speaker 1: You ain't jay Z and Beyonce, you're not You're not open. Instead, man,
- 8:12Speaker 1: that's not who you are. Quit looking around at everybody
- 8:16Speaker 1: else that comparison of everybody else to keep you broken it,
- 8:20Speaker 1: to keep you unhappy. You won't even be able to
- 8:23Speaker 1: be grateful for what you have because you steady talking
- 8:25Speaker 1: about what you don't have. That's not the way, man.
- 8:28Speaker 1: You have an obligation to yourself to be the best
- 8:31Speaker 1: you You can be, not the best them. You're not them.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Stop trying to be them. Be the best you. It's cool.
- 8:39Speaker 1: You got a nice little house. That's cool. You know
- 8:42Speaker 1: how many big houses is empty and feel with hate
- 8:45Speaker 1: and resentment. I'd rather have a smaller house feel with
- 8:50Speaker 1: joy in it than to go to a big house. Man.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Prince got a line in a song that says, I realized,
- 8:56Speaker 1: in its best disguise, or pretty house don't make a home. Man.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Don't you know I know how true that is? So
- 9:06Speaker 1: I'm just trying to tell you now. Another part of
- 9:11Speaker 1: the mindset is taking dead aim at your life's goals
- 9:16Speaker 1: and ambitions. What are they? What are your goals and
- 9:20Speaker 1: your visions? What do you see for yourself? What do
- 9:23Speaker 1: you dream about? If you knew you couldn't fail at
- 9:27Speaker 1: whatever it is you were attempting, what would you go attempting? See?
- 9:30Speaker 1: That's what we need to be after. It's a mindset, y'all.
- 9:34Speaker 1: It's a decision, it's a will, it's a change of direction.
- 9:39Speaker 1: It's an obligation to yourself. It's taking dead aim at
- 9:42Speaker 1: your life's visions and goals. Come on, man, you got
- 9:45Speaker 1: to get your mind wrapped around this thing. You owe
- 9:48Speaker 1: it to yourself to live the best life you can be.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Come on, man, talk to God. God got something for you.
- 9:54Speaker 1: You just gotta check in with him. You're listening, ladies, gentlemen,
- 10:04Speaker 1: boys and girls, circus trainers, Animals of all kind, animal lovers,
- 10:10Speaker 1: especially people who love animals, but people who don't place
- 10:15Speaker 1: animals above humans, those people too. I want the animal
- 10:21Speaker 1: lovers that place animals on the equal scaleless humans. And
- 10:25Speaker 1: I want the humans who who do not treat animals
- 10:29Speaker 1: as though they are human. So that will cover everybody.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morty Show escort. It is

- 11:29Speaker 1: you know what's crazy, man, No, it's very fulfilling for
- 11:35Speaker 1: me when I look and I see the people that
- 11:38Speaker 1: could benefit from it. The whole goal was to be
- 11:41Speaker 1: able to provide for my family and for those men
- 11:45Speaker 1: out there who are providing for your families. A matter
- 11:48Speaker 1: of fact, today's show is dedicated to all the men
- 11:51Speaker 1: out there that's providing for their families, for their children,
- 11:54Speaker 1: at whatever level it is. If you are providing and

- 12:08Speaker 1: show is dedicated to those men married. You're married, yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 1: this show and at whatever level you are. You ain't
- 12:16Speaker 1: got to be in Cairo to be a man. That's
- 12:19Speaker 1: not the measure of manhood. Now most more all men are.
- 12:24Speaker 1: We on the same level. It's just different circumstances. But
- 12:27Speaker 1: it ain't got nothing to do with your manhood, though
- 12:29Speaker 1: you can believe that my greatest friends ain't got that
- 12:33Speaker 1: much money. But I'm telling you what though, if something

- 21:58Speaker 1: national news update with me and Trip right after this.
- 22:02Speaker 1: You're listening to show, all right, So Steve, you must
- 22:10Speaker 1: have some sort of crystal ball here, because Pete Buddha
- 22:13Speaker 1: Judge has dropped out of the race for the Democratic
- 22:15Speaker 1: presidential nomination. Although he scored a narrow victory in Iowa
- 22:19Speaker 1: caucuses and came in second in the New Hampshire primary,
- 22:22Speaker 1: Buddha Judge did poorly in Nevada on February twenty second.
- 22:26Speaker 1: In this past Saturday, in South Carolina, making it highly
- 22:29Speaker 1: unlikely that he could get the nomination. Of course, Donald
- 22:32Speaker 1: Trump couldn't wait to tweet his opinion on Buddha Judge,
- 22:36Speaker 1: calling it quits. He thinks it's a political move to
- 22:39Speaker 1: help Joe Biden take on Bernie Sanders. The President treated tweeted,
- 22:45Speaker 1: Pete Buddha Judge is out, all caps, all of this.
- 22:50Speaker 1: All of his Super Tuesday votes will go to sleepy
- 22:52Speaker 1: Joe Biden. Great timing, he continues, this is the real
- 22:55Speaker 1: beginning of the Dems taking Bernie out of play. No
- 22:58Speaker 1: nomination again. And meanwhile Amy Klobuchar Steve is also out.
- 23:03Speaker 1: She says she's going to endure Joe Biden. Billionaire Tom Steyer,
- 23:08Speaker 1: as we told you yesterday also withdrew from the race
- 23:10Speaker 1: over the weekend. There you go. Okay, three, when we
- 23:18Speaker 1: were doing our first all these people talk about running Corey,
- 23:23Speaker 1: all these people that's out. I told you they was
- 23:28Speaker 1: gonna be out. I've been saying this from day one.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I've never waited. Amy finally went on and got out.
- 23:35Speaker 1: He went on and got out. Now, Donald Trump, now
- 23:38Speaker 1: I want y'all listen to what he's doing. Oh, this
- 23:42Speaker 1: is to move to sway votes over to Sleepy Joe
- 23:45Speaker 1: because he's afraid and take votes away from Bernie Sanders.
- 23:50Speaker 1: He wants to run against Bernie Sanders for him because
- 23:57Speaker 1: a lot of moderate Democrats don't want to be thought
- 24:01Speaker 1: of voting for a person that's labeled and proclaimed socialist.
- 24:06Speaker 1: So moderate Democrats wouldn't go to the polls to support that.
- 24:10Speaker 1: It might even go over to him. But for every
- 24:14Speaker 1: person that don't go to the polls, you've cast a
- 24:17Speaker 1: vote for Donald Trump. For Donald Trump. That's right. See,
- 24:21Speaker 1: because listen, everybody knows how important the black vote is.
- 24:26Speaker 1: When are we gonna understand how important how vote is.
- 24:29Speaker 1: We have to get ourselves. Everybody knows how important our
- 24:38Speaker 1: vote is. When are we going to understand the importance
- 24:42Speaker 1: of our vote? Everybody values it, they are they come
- 24:46Speaker 1: to our churches to get it. You don't see him
- 24:49Speaker 1: at the church until it's time for this vote. Biden
- 24:54Speaker 1: sitting up at a church the day after the primary,
- 24:56Speaker 1: the day after Biden said it ain't been a church
- 24:59Speaker 1: all year, not no black church. They don't come to
- 25:04Speaker 1: black churches until it's time to get an election. And
- 25:07Speaker 1: then they sit in the pool pit and sway off
- 25:10Speaker 1: beat and don't know none of the songs. Be patting
- 25:14Speaker 1: their foot, don't know what them black people saying about.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Just be looking they heard it. Hey, did you have
- 25:22Speaker 1: a hymn book? No, we don't. We just know these
- 25:25Speaker 1: jails we wrote along, so we we've by Bloomberg Warren Sanders.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Now now now listen, Elizabeth need to come on. I
- 25:38Speaker 1: keep telling, I've been telling y'all. Y'all, Steed, don't say that.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Don't say that she might fit to be president. Elizabeth
- 25:45Speaker 1: Warren has never had a chance at the White House,
- 25:48Speaker 1: not in reality. Now we're down to reality. Now, she
- 25:52Speaker 1: got to come up. No, no, it's not about her
- 25:55Speaker 1: being a woman or anything. She's just not the person
- 25:58Speaker 1: for the White House. And nobody putting nobody in the
- 26:01Speaker 1: White House. Where earth shoe? All right, it's super Tuesday.
- 26:06Speaker 1: We're gonna check him. Let's go shoe, get the skirt on.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Super take us to Misthin. They ain't even knight like
- 26:18Speaker 1: Saint John. Give me something, my mom in law West
- 26:21Speaker 1: Saint John. Every Sunday I got my Saint John laid
- 26:25Speaker 1: out for tomorrow, ladies and gentlemen. Miss Ashield, Okay, here
- 26:31Speaker 1: I am at myro shoes. This is an trip with
- 26:33Speaker 1: the news. President Trump says he doesn't think the situation
- 26:36Speaker 1: is serious enough I'm talking about coronavirus for him to
- 26:39Speaker 1: issue an emergency declaration to deal with the deadly virus.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I don't think you'll need that, because I really think
- 26:45Speaker 1: we're in, you know, extremely good shape. We're prepared for anything,
- 26:49Speaker 1: and we could always do that in a later date
- 26:50Speaker 1: if we need it. But I don't think we need that.
- 26:52Speaker 1: But the President says his administration is considering further travel restrictions.
- 26:55Speaker 1: By the way, Trump met with the heads of some
- 26:58Speaker 1: pharmaceutical companies yesterday and discussions reportedly included the possible development
- 27:02Speaker 1: of a COVID nineteen that's the coronavirus COVID nineteen vaccine,
- 27:07Speaker 1: whether certain therapeutic drugs that could be used to treat it,
- 27:10Speaker 1: and how to deal with the supply chain disruptions already
- 27:13Speaker 1: caused by the outbreak of this disease. At last look,
- 27:16Speaker 1: the overall US death toll from the coronavirus has risen
- 27:19Speaker 1: to six, all of them in Washington State. Four of
- 27:22Speaker 1: those elderly residents in the same nursing home, and doctors
- 27:26Speaker 1: say they all had other health conditions and then there
- 27:29Speaker 1: were five Mike Bloomberg, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Hawaii Congresswoman
- 27:33Speaker 1: Tulsea Gabbert, and former Vice President Joe Biden, who goes
- 27:36Speaker 1: into today's Super Tuesday balloting, minus billionaire Tom Styra and
- 27:40Speaker 1: Pete Buddhajed who dropped Albi race over the weekend, and
- 27:44Speaker 1: Amy Klovicher who ended her campaign yesterday. Now she and
- 27:47Speaker 1: former South Bend Indiana Maya throwing their support to mister Biden. Today,
- 27:52Speaker 1: fourteen states in one territory make their primary choices known,
- 27:55Speaker 1: with more than a third of the delegates up for
- 27:57Speaker 1: grabs today, That's why it's called Super Tuesday. California and
- 28:00Speaker 1: Texas will deliver the largest number of the delegates. And
- 28:04Speaker 1: now a former presidential hopeful form of Texas Congress from
- 28:07Speaker 1: bad Ol Rock, has thrown his endorsement to Joe Biden.
- 28:11Speaker 1: And reacting to all of this, Sanders initially gave his
- 28:13Speaker 1: typical type of response. He didn't expect support from the
- 28:16Speaker 1: quote establishment. However, during his speech later yesterday in Saint Paul,
- 28:21Speaker 1: Sanders toned his remarks down way down. I know that
- 28:25Speaker 1: there are political differences, but I also know that virtually
- 28:29Speaker 1: all of Amy's support and Pete support understand that we
- 28:34Speaker 1: have got to move toward a government which believes in
- 28:38Speaker 1: justice not greed, and he invited the voters to join
- 28:42Speaker 1: his effort. These Preme Court has turned down an appeal
- 28:45Speaker 1: of the federal ban on so called bump stocks, the
- 28:47Speaker 1: devices that convert semi automatic rifles to fire more rapidly,
- 28:50Speaker 1: and finally today is adopted Guinea Pig day. That's right.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Now back to Steve Harvey Morning Shows. You're listening show well.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Michael Bloomberg's controversial pass with minorities and people of color
- 29:06Speaker 1: was clear on Sunday when he spoke at Brown Chapel,
- 29:09Speaker 1: aame church in Selma, Alabama. Members of a congregation turned
- 29:14Speaker 1: their back on him in protest. Bloomberg was in Alabama
- 29:18Speaker 1: with other Democratic candidates to commemorate the fifty fifth anniversary
- 29:22Speaker 1: of Bloody Sunday, when hundreds of civil rights marchers were
- 29:25Speaker 1: brutally beaten during a demonstration. When Bloomberg stepped to the
- 29:29Speaker 1: podium to deliver his remarks, a handful of people stood
- 29:33Speaker 1: up and turned their backs. It was done in silence,
- 29:35Speaker 1: and they sat down when he finished. Now, Steve, you're
- 29:38Speaker 1: gonna love this reverend's name, Reverend leota is Strong commented.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Reverend leota is Strong commented that he thought it was
- 29:48Speaker 1: important for Mike Bloomberg to show up and to speak
- 29:52Speaker 1: and for people to hear him out on how he's changed. Clearly,
- 29:56Speaker 1: not everyone, not everyone felt the same way, so go
- 30:01Speaker 1: and that it's still an uphill battle for him with
- 30:04Speaker 1: a lot of with a lot of African Americans and Blacks.
- 30:08Speaker 1: It's okay, it's okay, I understand. I understand the African
- 30:11Speaker 1: Americans to feel that way. Some people are not forgiving
- 30:14Speaker 1: what you kid or said in the past. I got it.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Now let me say this, who are we going to forgive? See?
- 30:23Speaker 1: This is what I'm and I'm not saying you're wrong
- 30:25Speaker 1: for the protest. I'm not saying that at all. So
- 30:29Speaker 1: you can do that, But who are we going to forgive?
- 30:33Speaker 1: Donald Trump is president? Do you know the things he
- 30:36Speaker 1: said and done? Do you know the bill that Joe
- 30:39Speaker 1: Biden was a part of that sent so many black
- 30:42Speaker 1: people to prison? Do you understand what Bernie Sanders did
- 30:47Speaker 1: not sign up for? Do you know what Bill Clinton
- 30:52Speaker 1: did that sent so many blacks to printing? And the
- 30:55Speaker 1: West time around you was finding both for his wife. Look, man,
- 30:58Speaker 1: as black people, we've had to forgive boy since we've
- 31:01Speaker 1: been here over technically, yeah, because of four hundred years
- 31:07Speaker 1: of slavery. Look, man, I understand the penalty that Bloomberg
- 31:12Speaker 1: is paying for his past transgressions. We all got him.
- 31:16Speaker 1: But if you go back over everything Joe has said,
- 31:20Speaker 1: everything Bernie has said, if you go back everything, we
- 31:24Speaker 1: won't have a candidate. We just not gonna have one.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Telling you, man, there's just we gotta get. We gotta
- 31:31Speaker 1: get to some point and we got to hear them
- 31:33Speaker 1: get to who were gonna pick. Right now. I'm telling
- 31:35Speaker 1: you right now, if you don't get it together, Donald
- 31:38Speaker 1: Trump will be president again. Period. I'm telling you all right, Steve,
- 31:43Speaker 1: we're moving on. Coming up in thirty four minutes after
- 31:46Speaker 1: the hour, we're going to get some relationship advice from
- 31:49Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey. We call him the CLO,
- 31:51Speaker 1: the Chief Love Officer. Young female listener, Steve, yea, you
- 31:59Speaker 1: gotta make low voice. Go ahead, uncle Steve. Here. So, Steve,
- 32:05Speaker 1: a young female listener has some great questions for you,
- 32:07Speaker 1: and we'll talk about it right after this problem. You're listening, okay, Steve,
- 32:14Speaker 1: CLO Chief Love Officer. This young lady's name is Cara L.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Kara L. She's out of Atlanta, and she sent in
- 32:21Speaker 1: an email to Steve Harvey as Okay, uh no, she
- 32:26Speaker 1: didn't mention her age, but by the questions, perhaps you
- 32:29Speaker 1: can tell. She said, Steve, this is what I would
- 32:32Speaker 1: like to ask mister Harvey because I don't know what's
- 32:35Speaker 1: going on with me and my ex boyfriend Number one, Steve,
- 32:40Speaker 1: do men have serious conversations with women that they don't
- 32:44Speaker 1: really care about or just want to sleep with? That's
- 32:47Speaker 1: her first question. You want to deal with that with women?
- 32:52Speaker 1: With the women or just want to sleep with or
- 32:57Speaker 1: just want to sleep with. Yeah, and have serious conversations
- 33:02Speaker 1: with women that they don't care about. Yes, yeah, you
- 33:08Speaker 1: think we're gonna sleep with you. We don't have this conversation, right,
- 33:11Speaker 1: And do women they have a serious conversation with women
- 33:15Speaker 1: that they just want to sleep with. Yes, that's the
- 33:17Speaker 1: most serious conversation you gonna have my whole heart. That's
- 33:21Speaker 1: a big one. Because I'm trying to sleep with you.
- 33:24Speaker 1: There is no limits to that. So, yes, men have
- 33:28Speaker 1: conversations with women that they don't care about. You can
- 33:31Speaker 1: have a friend and you will have serious conversations with
- 33:34Speaker 1: women that you just want to sleep with. Yes, very serious.
- 33:40Speaker 1: She's young. I love you, but yeah, no, I love you. Yes, yes,
- 33:49Speaker 1: that's what you do. He said he loved me. Yeah, girl, girl,
- 33:53Speaker 1: he said he loved me. And you can get it
- 33:56Speaker 1: all the whole time in this session. Ye can get
- 34:01Speaker 1: it all up. Yeah. Do you know what we have
- 34:05Speaker 1: in the session? Don't? Can't? Way? Can you get out
- 34:08Speaker 1: of here? Yeah? How do men just up and leave
- 34:13Speaker 1: after a long serious relationship? Because men don't do closure?
- 34:20Speaker 1: Men do not need closure. It's over. Women need closure,
- 34:25Speaker 1: most men don't. We can just up and leave because
- 34:28Speaker 1: this is it. So the best way to get over
- 34:30Speaker 1: you is with another you. Yeah. Now that doesn't mean
- 34:36Speaker 1: he ain't somewhere hurting and bleeding on this side. He
- 34:39Speaker 1: can be internally bleeding. Oh, he can be crushed. He
- 34:42Speaker 1: can be jacked up. But if if we're moving on,
- 34:45Speaker 1: we're moving on. To go back and talk to this
- 34:48Speaker 1: with you is to bring up an old scab, and
- 34:50Speaker 1: that's called closure. We're nothing to do that. Well. She
- 34:53Speaker 1: also had a question about closure, so I think you
- 34:56Speaker 1: answered it. She said, you say men do not give closure.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Wants to know why don't man get closure? For what
- 35:02Speaker 1: it's over. It's the reason men don't give closure. It's
- 35:06Speaker 1: caused it's over man, the high coming, the why not.
- 35:09Speaker 1: It's gonna take us into a deeper level of conversation
- 35:13Speaker 1: we don't need to have. I don't want you no longer.
- 35:16Speaker 1: But why See now, now you Finn, get your feelings
- 35:22Speaker 1: and you could possibly hurt my feelings. See so couse,
- 35:28Speaker 1: once I tell you what I really think and then
- 35:29Speaker 1: you tell me what you really think, now both of
- 35:32Speaker 1: us sitting there hurt and I ain't gonna be able
- 35:34Speaker 1: to take what you said. We're not hurt my feelings. Yeah,
- 35:37Speaker 1: you didn't have to tell me because I was small.
- 35:39Speaker 1: You didn't have to say that to me, right closure? Yeah,
- 35:45Speaker 1: I told you as one that's good, and then you
- 35:48Speaker 1: spawned on me and said it's cause you small. Now
- 35:52Speaker 1: that right there, we see, that's why we're not fit
- 35:55Speaker 1: to do closure. I gave you cause because it sex
- 35:58Speaker 1: ain't good. But the sex ain't good because you're too small.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Goddam Hold up all right? And her last question for you, Steve,
- 36:05Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer, is if a man leaves and keeps
- 36:11Speaker 1: coming back, what does that mean that means you gullible
- 36:15Speaker 1: and you allow him to return to the scene of
- 36:18Speaker 1: the crime. We leave because we don't want you. We
- 36:21Speaker 1: just wanted something from you. So if we keep coming back,
- 36:26Speaker 1: it's because we just won't what you got. We don't
- 36:29Speaker 1: want you. We just want what you've got. And if
- 36:32Speaker 1: you gullible enough to let us keep coming back, then
- 36:35Speaker 1: bam you something wrong with you? If you don't think
- 36:39Speaker 1: that much of yourself, then why should we answered your questions?
- 36:45Speaker 1: Why Steve question? Bokay, I know I'm telling the truth. Now.
- 36:50Speaker 1: You may not like the truth, but it is the truth.
- 36:55Speaker 1: Why that ain't right, Steve Harvey? I an't say it
- 36:57Speaker 1: was right. I said it was true, all right. Up next, nephew,
- 37:03Speaker 1: with the prank phone call for today. Right after this
- 37:06Speaker 1: you're listening to show coming up at the top of
- 37:10Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my strawberry
- 37:13Speaker 1: letter for today, subject I need my wife to reinstate
- 37:17Speaker 1: my hall pass. Wow. Okay, okay, yeah for these black people,
- 37:27Speaker 1: all right, can't can't be I know? Good here, well,
- 37:34Speaker 1: I know not to bring it up right now though,
- 37:36Speaker 1: Nephew in the building with today's prank phone call. What
- 37:39Speaker 1: you got for us next contree that harmless sounds yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 37:48Speaker 1: everybody like country. Let's go. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to
- 37:53Speaker 1: reach LC. Hey. My name is Marcus. My mama named
- 37:58Speaker 1: little next door to you, mister, and missus my mom
- 38:01Speaker 1: and daddy little next doe to you, And I was
- 38:04Speaker 1: calling because y'all got a pecantry in y'all backyard, I
- 38:08Speaker 1: mean right on the fence line and to keep you know,
- 38:12Speaker 1: pecans and stuff keep falling over into my mama and
- 38:14Speaker 1: them yard. So I'm talling them to see if y'all
- 38:17Speaker 1: can do something man where y'all can pick up I mean,
- 38:21Speaker 1: my mom and them got a little older. You know,
- 38:23Speaker 1: we've been picking them up for a long time, but
- 38:25Speaker 1: I need somebody to, like, maybe you can cut the
- 38:28Speaker 1: limbs back that's hanging over so that they won't, you know,
- 38:31Speaker 1: the pecans won't be falling over into my mam and
- 38:33Speaker 1: them yard because you know, for them to be bending
- 38:36Speaker 1: over like they're picking up them pacan and it's a
- 38:37Speaker 1: lot of them. So you know, mister, I just wanted
- 38:40Speaker 1: to haul at you and see if you don't mind
- 38:43Speaker 1: maybe cutting the limbs back, because even when we turned
- 38:45Speaker 1: the Lamo on and stuff. Man, it just you know,
- 38:48Speaker 1: the pecans and stuff be coming out of the lamo
- 38:50Speaker 1: just shooting all over the place. Well, first of all,
- 38:54Speaker 1: Mama con old coon tree and all its fall and
- 39:01Speaker 1: I can't see me cutting it. Well, I mean, I'm
- 39:04Speaker 1: not saying you can't have no body to maintain your yard,
- 39:09Speaker 1: but I mean you your mother. You can maintain your
- 39:13Speaker 1: mother's yard. Sir. I go by my mother's house, you know,
- 39:17Speaker 1: every other day and check on them. But I don't
- 39:18Speaker 1: have time to go on the back and pick up
- 39:20Speaker 1: pecans and stuff. You know what I'm saying. I mean,
- 39:22Speaker 1: if you just it don't seem no more than like
- 39:24Speaker 1: maybe four or five limbs that's hanging over there. But
- 39:27Speaker 1: then four or five limbs, I mean they they there's
- 39:30Speaker 1: a lot of pecans falling off of that. So if
- 39:32Speaker 1: you my pacon tree and shady I go back there,
- 39:37Speaker 1: there's not no kind of nothing back there. Okay, whatever, sir,
- 39:43Speaker 1: I'm not cutting my tree for a little like that. Sir. Listen,
- 39:47Speaker 1: what I'm what I'm trying to get you to do
- 39:48Speaker 1: is I'm not I want you cutting your entire tree down.
- 39:51Speaker 1: I just want you to cut a few limbs sir,
- 39:53Speaker 1: so you know those that way that those are the
- 39:56Speaker 1: ones that are hanging over it won't be you know,
- 39:58Speaker 1: the pecans won't be falling over into my mom them
- 40:00Speaker 1: yard and and and you know, like I say, they're
- 40:02Speaker 1: older now, man, they can't be bending over like that.
- 40:05Speaker 1: So you know, I'm I'm just coming to you as
- 40:07Speaker 1: a man right now and asking you when you please
- 40:10Speaker 1: cut this down to these pecans can quit falling over
- 40:12Speaker 1: my mom and them yard almost and you all you
- 40:15Speaker 1: can do is hard from one someone I know your mother.
- 40:19Speaker 1: Don't cut your yard. It's it's a guy that it's
- 40:22Speaker 1: a guy that cuts the yard. But even when he
- 40:24Speaker 1: cutting the yard, these pecans is flying out from underneath
- 40:27Speaker 1: the yard. The law more they soon or later we're
- 40:30Speaker 1: gonna be breaking windows over that. What kind of lord
- 40:34Speaker 1: person you have that don't pick up before they cut?
- 40:36Speaker 1: That's food? Why am I arguing with you about picking
- 40:39Speaker 1: up stuff and all of this? I'm asking you to
- 40:41Speaker 1: cut a funking left five limbs so these dog gonna
- 40:44Speaker 1: pecans ain't are falling over my mama yard. You you
- 40:47Speaker 1: want to cut, you're gonna make me come over there
- 40:49Speaker 1: and cut the old I would come cut the whole
- 40:52Speaker 1: damn tree down. You ain't put my tree. I grew
- 40:56Speaker 1: that tree from when I was a kids, and that
- 40:58Speaker 1: tree gonna say that York long as I stay though, sir, Look,
- 41:02Speaker 1: I didn't ask you like a man to cut your

- 46:39Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tight. We got it. Fire
- 46:41Speaker 1: you Scrawberry Letter, Thank you Tommy. Subject I need my
- 46:46Speaker 1: wife to reinstate my Hall pass to Stephen Shirley. I'm
- 46:50Speaker 1: a twenty eight year old married man. I've been married
- 46:53Speaker 1: for two years and it's been a rocky two years
- 46:55Speaker 1: so far. Right after I married my wife, she cheated
- 46:59Speaker 1: on me with her ex boyfriend. I suspected something was
- 47:02Speaker 1: going on all along, and she finally did admit it
- 47:05Speaker 1: to me, but she said she was drunk and it
- 47:08Speaker 1: only happened once. I forgave her eventually and were still together.
- 47:13Speaker 1: After it happened, my wife said she felt terrible, and
- 47:16Speaker 1: she told me there was only one way to make
- 47:19Speaker 1: things even, so she offered me a quote Hall Pass,
- 47:24Speaker 1: which allowed me to have sex with one person outside
- 47:28Speaker 1: of our marriage. I didn't have to tell her who
- 47:31Speaker 1: it was or when it happened, just let her know
- 47:34Speaker 1: after I'd used my Hall pass. Once I forgave her,
- 47:38Speaker 1: I had no intentions of cheating on her, and I
- 47:40Speaker 1: let her know the proposal. The proposal was crazy. Now,
- 47:44Speaker 1: as time has gone by, I regret that I turned
- 47:47Speaker 1: down my Hall pass because I ran into an old
- 47:50Speaker 1: friend from high school and she looked better than she's
- 47:53Speaker 1: ever looked. She works out now and everything was right
- 47:56Speaker 1: and tight on her body around the time, and into
- 48:00Speaker 1: my old classmate. My wife and I have been arguing
- 48:03Speaker 1: a lot and it was stressful at home, so I
- 48:06Speaker 1: considered going to my wife to see if I could
- 48:09Speaker 1: possibly get my hall pass reinstated. I told my classmate
- 48:13Speaker 1: everything that was going on in my head, and she
- 48:16Speaker 1: told me to think long and hard about it. Before
- 48:19Speaker 1: I asked my wife, I just want one time with
- 48:22Speaker 1: my classmate, just to see what I've been missing all
- 48:25Speaker 1: of these years. So my question to you is should
- 48:27Speaker 1: I do it and hope it never comes between my marriage?
- 48:30Speaker 1: Or should I request a hall pass and let my
- 48:33Speaker 1: wife know I want to get a little side action
- 48:36Speaker 1: like she did. Okay, no and no, and that should
- 48:44Speaker 1: conclude my answer. But anyway, okay, you're you're just begging,
- 48:48Speaker 1: begging for trouble and asking for more problems in your
- 48:52Speaker 1: already troubled marriage. You said you guys have been arguing
- 48:56Speaker 1: of late. The way I see it, you have you
- 48:58Speaker 1: don't really have any eye options here, um not to
- 49:02Speaker 1: use your hall pass that your wife offered to you before,
- 49:05Speaker 1: and not to tell her everything. Uh no, you don't
- 49:08Speaker 1: do that, all right, don't do that. You said that
- 49:10Speaker 1: you forgave her. You guys had a clean slate and everything.
- 49:14Speaker 1: You just happen to run into this temptation called your
- 49:17Speaker 1: old high school friend. And that's all it is, uh temptation.
- 49:21Speaker 1: You know. Try to fix your marriage, okay, try to
- 49:24Speaker 1: fix it even though you guys have been even though
- 49:28Speaker 1: it's been would you say, Steve, I'm sorry, what'd you say?
- 49:33Speaker 1: Go ahead? Oh? Okay? Okay, but anyway, where was it?
- 49:38Speaker 1: But anyway? Yeah, you know that. Don't don't take that
- 49:43Speaker 1: option to go back and ask your wife for the
- 49:46Speaker 1: hall pass. I mean you really think after all this time,
- 49:49Speaker 1: she's gonna say go ahead and do it now? Just don't.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I mean she might, I don't know. That's maybe the
- 49:54Speaker 1: kind of marriage you guys have at twenty eight. But
- 49:57Speaker 1: don't do that. Okay, stay and try to fi what's
- 50:00Speaker 1: wrong with your marriage right now? Your wife cheated on
- 50:05Speaker 1: you with her ex boyfriend. She said she was drunk.
- 50:08Speaker 1: You forgave her. Please try to fix that and move on.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Get this girl out of your mind if you can.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Don't keep trying thinking about her, trying to go back
- 50:18Speaker 1: doing all of that. Please don't do that. Okay, You're
- 50:21Speaker 1: gonna cause yourself a world of problems and it's just
- 50:25Speaker 1: not worth it. It's just not worth it. Now. If
- 50:27Speaker 1: you and your wife end up getting a divorce, then
- 50:30Speaker 1: you know, maybe you want to look up your old
- 50:31Speaker 1: high school friend. But right now, I say let it go. Steve.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Just a good letter. This is a tough one, this
- 50:39Speaker 1: twenty eight year old young man. I'm gonna try to
- 50:42Speaker 1: talk to you like you my son, because I got
- 50:44Speaker 1: twenty eight year old boy. So I'm gonna try. But
- 50:47Speaker 1: I want you all to understand before I read this
- 50:51Speaker 1: letter and dissect it. Oh, I'm a grown man, and
- 50:55Speaker 1: all my advice is not perfect. Some of this is
- 50:59Speaker 1: for calm, and some of it is well, it's just
- 51:02Speaker 1: a damn letter. He'd been married for two years, it's rocky.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Right after he got married, his wife cheated on him
- 51:09Speaker 1: with her ex boyfriend. So then he said, I suspected
- 51:13Speaker 1: someone's going on all along, and she finally admitted to me.
- 51:17Speaker 1: But she says she was drunk and it only happened once.
- 51:20Speaker 1: This over with, Now, there's no need for no letter
- 51:23Speaker 1: because you ain't playing on quick drinking? Are you? So
- 51:26Speaker 1: all this got? It could happen again? Written? Well, you know,
- 51:30Speaker 1: she says she was sorry, it only happened once. She
- 51:32Speaker 1: was drunk. Well, she ain't went to alcoholics, anonymous or nothing.
- 51:36Speaker 1: So if you ain't gonna quit drinking, this has the
- 51:39Speaker 1: potential of it could happen all over again. Now I'm
- 51:42Speaker 1: not mad nobody because they get drunk, they go have
- 51:45Speaker 1: sexual somebody. We got to get out of this marriage now,
- 51:48Speaker 1: because last time I checked, they sell alcohol everywhere. So
- 51:53Speaker 1: now I'm married to a person that can't passing nothing
- 51:56Speaker 1: without passing out something. If you can't hass a bar
- 52:01Speaker 1: without passing out some girl, this marriage can't work. So
- 52:06Speaker 1: now for me and you threw anyway. I forgave her eventually,
- 52:10Speaker 1: and we're still together now. After it happened, my wife
- 52:13Speaker 1: says she felt terrible, and she told me that the
- 52:16Speaker 1: only way to make things even she offered me a
- 52:21Speaker 1: Hall Pass, which allowed me to have sex with one
- 52:24Speaker 1: person outside our marriage. I didn't have to tell her
- 52:28Speaker 1: who it was or when it happened, just let her
- 52:31Speaker 1: know after I had used my Hall pass. Boy, if
- 52:35Speaker 1: this wasn't an opportunity for you to capitalize and never
- 52:40Speaker 1: mentioned the damn Hall pass, hold, Steve, we'll have ye
- 52:52Speaker 1: ever been offered a damn Hall pass. I just got
- 52:56Speaker 1: hall in the damn hall. I ain't he passing enough?
- 53:01Speaker 1: All right? Subject today, I need my wife to reinstate
- 53:04Speaker 1: my hall pass will be back in twenty three minutes
- 53:07Speaker 1: after the hour to get back into it right after this.
- 53:10Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, Steve. Come on, let's recap today's
- 53:15Speaker 1: Strawberry letter and wrap up part two of your response.
- 53:19Speaker 1: Twenty eight year old dude man two years been Rocky,
- 53:23Speaker 1: found out his wife cheated on the way the ex boyfriend.
- 53:27Speaker 1: You know, she said it only happened once he was drunk.
- 53:31Speaker 1: I don't like that excuse. I was drunk, That's why
- 53:33Speaker 1: it happened. Seeing us how they continued to sell alcohol worldwide.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Damn now worldwide. I don't see how this can't happen again. Yeah,
- 53:44Speaker 1: I don't know where she can go. Well, I ain't
- 53:47Speaker 1: serving no alcohol. Rockingham, North Carolina was a dry county,
- 53:51Speaker 1: But even if you drove ten miles, you could get
- 53:54Speaker 1: drunk over there and drive back home and screw the
- 53:57Speaker 1: gas station intended. So I'm not real secure with her,
- 54:01Speaker 1: but you forgave her, and so she decided to make
- 54:05Speaker 1: things even to give you a Hall pass, which allows
- 54:08Speaker 1: this dude to have sex with one person outside their marriage.
- 54:13Speaker 1: He didn't. She didn't. He told her, you don't have
- 54:16Speaker 1: to tell me who it was or when it happened.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Just let her know after I had used my hall pass. Now,
- 54:23Speaker 1: he said, once I forgave her, I had no intentions
- 54:26Speaker 1: of cheating on her, and I let her know that
- 54:28Speaker 1: the proposal was crazy. I ain't gonna judge you. I
- 54:32Speaker 1: think that's a noble thing to do. Young man. You
- 54:35Speaker 1: want to be in a committed marriage. Two wrongs don't
- 54:38Speaker 1: make a right. That was a wonderfully adult decision that
- 54:41Speaker 1: you made, far ahead of my years at twenty eight too.
- 54:46Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say that I had never heard of
- 54:51Speaker 1: a hall pass, nor has any one ever given me
- 54:54Speaker 1: a hall pa. I ain't had a girlfriend with a
- 54:56Speaker 1: hall pass. Now, not to say I wasn't out in
- 54:58Speaker 1: the hall, been out in the hall, hall monitor stopping
- 55:02Speaker 1: me everything, Polaroid's everything, but that now, as time has
- 55:09Speaker 1: gone by, I regret that I turned down the hall
- 55:12Speaker 1: pass because I ran into an old friend from high school,
- 55:16Speaker 1: and she looked better than she ever looked. She worked
- 55:18Speaker 1: out now, and everything was right and tight on her body.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Around the time I ran into my old classmate, my
- 55:25Speaker 1: wife and I had been arguing a lot and was
- 55:28Speaker 1: stressful at home. Well, son, she she gave you what
- 55:35Speaker 1: what what Steve? She gave you? What are you saying
- 55:41Speaker 1: she gave you Paris? Yeah? Your head to pass anyway? Uh?
- 55:49Speaker 1: And so now I've considered going to my wife here
- 55:53Speaker 1: would have let her get real damned dumb. It's been stupid,
- 55:58Speaker 1: but now we into dumbed. So I considered going to
- 56:03Speaker 1: my wife to see if I could possibly get my
- 56:07Speaker 1: hall pass reinstated. What what did your dumbass just say? Why?
- 56:20Speaker 1: What did you say? You've fend to go to your wife,
- 56:25Speaker 1: a woman. You're fend to go to a female? Tell
- 56:29Speaker 1: her to her proposal was crazy? Come back after you
- 56:33Speaker 1: ran up into old classmate and you're gonna ask her
- 56:37Speaker 1: to reconsider reinstate in your hall pass. Let me ask
- 56:41Speaker 1: you something, how do you imagine this going down? Tell
- 56:47Speaker 1: me how you introduced this concept to your wife. Okay, Now,
- 56:53Speaker 1: after you get out the hospital, what I want you
- 56:57Speaker 1: to do is I want you to then think about
- 57:00Speaker 1: how Uncle Steve told your dumbass not to say that. Boy,
- 57:06Speaker 1: you cannot go in there with your stupid ass and
- 57:10Speaker 1: say that. Listen to me anyway, The original hall pass
- 57:15Speaker 1: was a trap, and you played the right thing by
- 57:18Speaker 1: saying this proposal is crazy. That was the perfect response.
- 57:25Speaker 1: But all being sad, if you was gonna do it,
- 57:29Speaker 1: you should have took your hall pass and then just
- 57:32Speaker 1: said I just told you it was a crazy ass proposal,
- 57:35Speaker 1: but I took the pass and then you'd have been clear.
- 57:39Speaker 1: But now you're gonna go back and ask to reinstate it. Now,
- 57:44Speaker 1: here's what your dumbass did. You went back to your
- 57:48Speaker 1: classmate and told her what was going on in your head,
- 57:53Speaker 1: and your classmate told you to think long and hard
- 57:56Speaker 1: about it before I asked my wife. Hello, dunk, you
- 58:00Speaker 1: went to the woman that you want to cheat with
- 58:02Speaker 1: and asked her, did you should I ask my wife?
- 58:07Speaker 1: Can I have a hall pass to cheat with? You? Dog?
- 58:11Speaker 1: I'm make this statement right here. You ain't got no daddy. Yeah,
- 58:16Speaker 1: there's no way you have a daddy. It's no way
- 58:19Speaker 1: he was raised without a father. I'm gonna just say that.
- 58:22Speaker 1: So let let Uncle Steve help you out. Hey, dog,
- 58:25Speaker 1: quit talking to your new class made potential of mistress
- 58:30Speaker 1: about your wife. That's rude. Number one. Secondly, don't go
- 58:36Speaker 1: intead and ask your wife to reinstate. No damn hall pass. Now,
- 58:41Speaker 1: Shelley said, get the girl out your mind. That's impossible.
- 58:47Speaker 1: How do you get temptation? No, Sully, you can't try
- 58:51Speaker 1: to get somebody out your mind. That ain't how it
- 58:53Speaker 1: worked because you can't control your mind with what comes
- 58:56Speaker 1: in it. You control how you process it, but you
- 58:59Speaker 1: can't stop the sin and the temptation from it in
- 59:02Speaker 1: your mind. He's twenty eight years old. He in trouble.
- 59:05Speaker 1: He he been asleep with this girl. Oh yeah, I
- 59:08Speaker 1: didn't slept with an eye not in man. All right, listen,
- 59:17Speaker 1: we're gonna come back with part three of this Strawberry
- 59:20Speaker 1: letter today. It's a good one, subject I need my
- 59:22Speaker 1: wife to reinstate my Hall pass. We'll be back right
- 59:25Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. You had part
- 59:31Speaker 1: three of today's Strawberry Letters, the subject I need my
- 59:34Speaker 1: wife to reinstate my Hall pass. Let's recap. Surely this
- 59:37Speaker 1: letter was a twenty eight year old dude that was married.
- 59:39Speaker 1: His wife cheated on him. He forgave oh, but she
- 59:42Speaker 1: felt bad about it, and so said to even it up.
- 59:45Speaker 1: She gave a dude the Hall pass. He told her
- 59:49Speaker 1: he wasn't interested on a hall pass. He thought that
- 59:52Speaker 1: proposal was crazy because he didn't want to cheat on
- 59:55Speaker 1: his wife. Yeah, so then he regretted he turned it
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: because he ran up into an old friend from high
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: school and she was looking better than ever. She worked
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: out now, everything was right and tight on her body.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: And around the time that he ran up into her,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: him and his girl had been arguing. Alden stressful at home.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: So here was his dilemma. I've considered going to my
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: wife to see if I could possibly get my hall
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: pass reinstated. Boy, And I told him before the break,
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: you cannot do that. You cannot do that. But he
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: then it got dumber, he said, and I told my classmaker,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: the woman that he wanted to sleep with it. He
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: told his classmate, the chick that he ran up into
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: with the banging body, that everything that was going on
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: in my head, and she told me to think long
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: and hard about it before I asked my wife. Hay food,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: hay food. You gonna go to your wife and ask her,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: cause she reinstate the hall pass, and you didn't ask
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: the girl, the potential mistress that you're gonna sleep with
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: what her opinion is. And she tells you the think
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: long and hard about it. So my question to you
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: is should I do it? Now? You cannot discuss your
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: wife with a chick that you're talking to on the side.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: That's how all the fairs stow. Dog, you don't ever
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: listen to me. Don't ever talk about your wife to
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: another human being. Your wife is off limit to the
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: opinion of other people. Now, Dog, if you go to
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: your barn, gonna man my girl at the house tripping,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: that's one thing. She don't go to no woman and
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: talk about your wife to a woman. Are you dog
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: that you're breaking the rules? Son? Now you stop this now,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Shirley said, get this out your mind. That's not gonna happen.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: We're gonna it's gonna happen. That's gonna have That's how
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: he got another problem. It's just how he gonna played
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: it because he don't matter what to heal. We say,
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: oh you go here self control, guys, we do have
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: self control. Well, leave your comments on today's letter on
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Instagram at Steve Harvey FM and check out the Strawberry letter.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: We have control, man, he don't have control. Twenty eight
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: coming up in ten minutes, will us I'll talk about
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: we'll talk about trending headlines, and guess what, it's still
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Super Tuesday. We'll be back right after this. You're listening
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. Well, only days after turning eighteen
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: years old and becoming a legal adult, the youngest son
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: of Michael Jackson bought a six bedroom starter home. Did
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: you hear me? Starter home? Prince Michael Jackson paid two
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: point six million dollars for his new home. Don't have
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: no money, everybody that keeps saying all the starter homes.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: I know it's two bedrooms. Man, where do you get that? Yeah? Right,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: this is his starter home now two point six million, eighteen.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: What was your first What was your starter home? Like Steve?
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: My first home I was on TV for I bought
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: my first home, my very first home. Let's go well,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: I mean my very first apartment. Start appartment one hundred
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: and eighty five dollars a month, and I was late
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: late first and was a lot dollars a day, was
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: choking mine. I turned went up to one. Then the
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: second apartment I got was two fifteen a month. Whoa
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: who that killed you? Now? When I was working at
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: for a motor company, I had money. My apartment was
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: I think my apartment was two sixty a month, but
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I was falling at Fullard Motor Company. But after after
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: I got came out of homelessness, my first apartment was
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: one eight five. Second one was two fifteen. I never
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: paid my rent on the first ever, because you had
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: to go make the money, right. Yeah, I was hustling comedy.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Dates didn't fall right now. I got to get back home.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: Five dollars per late day, could give anything right now.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: But what are you really so see? Is this the
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: empartment where you really had like the love beads or
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: whatever you call them, where you really had a decorated nights,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: not a love beads? Was when I stayed upstairs at
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: my mama's house. Okay, describe that one again, because that's
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: when I first flunked out of college. And I asked
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: my daddy because I stayed at the house for six months,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: because he had told me not to come back home
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: because once you his house, you can't come back. So
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I got a job right at four Motor Company. I
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: told him, can I stay here six months? He said yeah?
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: And six months. You got to be gone now because
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: ain'tber one king of this couch. Okay, cool. So I
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: had an attic. So I split my attic in half.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: I had the closet, but it had all Christmas stuff
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: in it. It was a walk in but not really
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: and it had all the Christmas stuff because it was
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: part of the attic. And all my clothes always smell
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: like mothballs, but didn't nobody ever, you know, I never
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: had moths on my clothes. And so I made half
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: of my bedroom chocolate brown and the other half shag.
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: Now I bought the latest shag. Half my bedroom was
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: chocolate brown and the other half was onnged with brown
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: specks in it. Boy, And then where the carpet divided
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: that I hung up brown tan cream and gold beads. Beads,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: you know. So you had my partom to go over
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: that to the living room that I had a Sears
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: love seat on the wall for two hundred and eighty
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: five dollars. That was my first credit card from Sears.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: That had a two hundred and eighty five dollars love seat.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: And I had a hot stolen three hundred dollars radio
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: shot sound system that costs two thousand. All that Hot
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: for three hundred, Yeah, for three hundred, bought it five
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: tower speakers and everything from radio shack two thousand dollars,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: got it for three hundred, had an eight track, a cassette,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: and a turntable pimp. I could play anything that came.
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: I don't call what what format you in? And this
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: was before that was formats. Yeah, and the beads divided
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: my room. And I had a director's chair for twenty
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: nine dollars that I ordered that sears that you had
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: to wait for two weeks to get, and it came.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: My name was on the back of a Steve. It
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: was a white director's chair with chocolate brown or seating
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: on it. You couldn't And I had a bean band.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Bean band coming up more than the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Show in twenty minutes after the hour right after this
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: You're Listening show, and Oklahoma cityman had an unusual house
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: guest in his attic uses it wasn't Steve Harvey. We
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: talked about that at the last break. After hearing noises
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: coming from his attic, the man assumed that he had
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: a squirrel or something trapped up in there, you know,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: when the noises got louder, though he knew that he
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: had to go check it out. He grabbed his rifle
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: walked into his attic to find a man there. Wow,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: the stranger had set up a mattress and was basically
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: living up in this man's attic. The homeowner call the
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: police and held the man at gunpoint until they arrived.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: The intruder was arrested and charged with burglary. Uh, this
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: would have been told. I got to ask you that
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: this house totally didn't let him up. Yeah, no, my
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: father let him five No doubt too it. He don't
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: get to damn if you try to pull up mattress
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: on top of No, my father, if he walk upstairs
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: and there's a man in our attic trying to go,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: there's gonna be a different phone call that. Yeah, he
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: can ease downstairs and called. Matter of fact, he ain't
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: got to hold him at gunpoint? All my father went police.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: He uped there, Well you need a granny. How did
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: he not know this man was in his attic? Though?
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: I mean, do you think you could do that? I
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: know you have a big house, Steve Tommy, you have
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: a chanateau. Do you think you got security? I know
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: it's not even it's not even worth it. All right,
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: we'll be back with more the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: and some trending stories coming up at thirty three minutes
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: after the hour right after this You're listening show. All right,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: So Steve, you must have some sort of crystal ball here,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: because Pete Buddha Judge has dropped out of the race
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: for the Democratic presidential nomination. Although he scored a narrow
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: victory in Iowa caucuses and came in second in the
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: New Hampshire primary, Buddha Judge did poorly in Nevada on
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: February twenty second in this past Saturday in South Carolina,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: making it highly unlikely that he could get the nomination.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Of course, Donald Trump couldn't wait to tweet his opinion
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: on Buddha Judge, calling it quits. He thinks it's a
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: political move to help Joe Biden take on Bernie Sanders.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: The President treated tweeted, Pete Buddha Judge is out all
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: caps all of this. All of his Super Tuesday votes
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: will go to sleepy Joe Biden. Great timing, he continues,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: this is the real beginning of the Dems taking Bernie
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: out of play. No nomination again. Meanwhile, Amy Klobuchar, Steve
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: is also out. She says she's going to endure Joe Biden.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Billionaire Tom Steyer, as we told you yesterday, also withdrew
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: from the race over the weekend. There you go, when
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: we were doing our first all these people talk about running.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I've been saying this from day one. I've never waited.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: Amy finally went on and got out. He went on
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: and got out. Now Donald Trump, now I want y'all
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: listen to what he's doing. Oh, this is a move
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: to sway votes over to sleepy Joe because he's afraid
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: and take votes away from Bernie Sanders. He wants to
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: run against Bernie Sanders for him because a lot of
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: moderate Democrats don't want to be thought of voting for
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: a person that's labeled and a proclaimed socialist. So moderate
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Democrats wouldn't go to the polls to support that. It
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: might even go over to him. But for every person
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: that don't go to the polls, you've cast a vote
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: for Donald Trump. For Donald Trump's See. That's because listen,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: everybody knows how important the black vote is. When are
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: we gonna understand how important our vote is to get ourselves?
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Everybody knows how important our vote is. When are we
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: going to understand the importance of our vote. Everybody values it.
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: They are they come to our churches to get it.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: You don't see him at the church until it's time
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: for this vote. Biden sitting up at the church the
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: day after the primary. The day after Biden said, it
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: ain't been a church all year, not no black church.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: They don't come to black churches until it's time to
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: get an election. And then they sit in the pool
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: pit and sway off beat and don't know none of
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: the songs, be patting their foot, don't know what the
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: black people sing about, just be looking. They never heard it. Hey,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: did you have a hymn book? No, we don't. He
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: just know these jams wrote along, coming up our last
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: break of the day, and of course you're listening show
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: here we are a last break of the day. Guys.
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: It's been a good day. It's a great day. Come on,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: are you gonna say it again? Or what? It's the
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: last break of the day. When hanging like that, you know,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: Jay started, he old and so he forgot how he said,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: he forgot that's the last break all good day? What's
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: going boy? Yeah? I had to talk with him. He forgot. Yeah,
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: all right, Steve closing remarks, I cannot tell you how
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: this has really been troubling me, that how politics has done. Listen,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: listen to me. If you've never felt that you were
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: important before, I want you to start thinking of how
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: important you really really are to the fiber and the
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: outcome of the direction that this country can go in.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: You have a say, soul. But see, we are so
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: quick to point out what we don't have, what we
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: missed out on. You know, if if if we as
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: minorities weren't held up, I got all it at it.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I've suffered, yes, like anybody else, trying to turn myself
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: into something. But through prayer and grace and mercy, I
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: was able to accomplish a lot of my dreams. And
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: you can too. But you can't harp on the negative
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: because we are valuable here. We are very, very valuable.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: If we were not valuable, why do they pursue us
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: so toughly and openly pursue us. We are the lead
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: story on CNN, MSNBC, every story, Bloomberg. We are the
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: lead of every candidate. They mark a way to come
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: and sit in our churches during election time. They come
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: to mention us during election time. They stand us back
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: behind the candidates and all the elections and make sure
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: we gotta sign. During an election time, they come up
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: and they talk about reparations during an election time. Oh,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: they talk about crime and how blacks have been held
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: out of the system. How they want to change of
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: the way blacks are handling the judicial system in the
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: police system. Oh, they all do this during election time.
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: They talk about, man, how important we are, how many
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: women vote, how to to to to nurture this vote,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: how to fertilize, how to cultivate the vote during election
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: time because we are important to their success as a
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: candidate in the Democratic Party during election time. But I
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: want to say something to you. Donald Trump needs twelve
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: percent of the African American voters, and if he gets
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: twelve percent of African American voters, he wins the White
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: House again. In that's why they came up with the
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: campaign called woke. Didn't no white person come up with woke.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: This is a black person who works for Donald Trump
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: who says we're gonna call this campaign woke. That no
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: white person did that. That's a slogan we came up with. Now, look,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: I'm not knocking you if you vote for Trump, I
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: don't care who you vote for. You have one vote,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: but you gotta be smart with the vote, and you
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: gotta use your vote, and you gotta make your vote count.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: But they Donald Trump ain't talking to us about woke.
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Donald Trump got one black cabinet member. His name is
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: Ben Carson. He's a neurosurgeon and he's a head of hood.
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: Donald Trump don't have a black person in the White House,
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: no where else I ain't seen. And remember the black
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: dude that used to be in all the rallies with
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: the Blacks for Trump t shirt with the ponytail or.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: When they did their research and they found out who
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: he was, or they pulled him out of there because
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: if you go to Netflix, he all over that. They
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: found out who they really had been pushing, and they
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: went on, oh my god. He ain't been at a
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: rally since. See. But we are important to them. We
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: have to understand our importance and use it and vote.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: We can change the course of for what's happening here,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: and they know it. Biden needs us. Bloomberg, look at
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: Bloomberg ass he doesn't spend five hundred million dollars in
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: damn near every ad he either talking to some blacks
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: or about blacks, and blacks is in there. I don't
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: care what you do. Elizabeth Warren got something to say,
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: all them got something to say, but they gone. Ain't
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: nobody left in this thing but Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: and Elizabeth Warren and Bloomberg is still in it. And
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: they need you to get the nod to be the
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: presidential candidate in the Democratic Party. Let me tell you
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: what now, forget woke. We need to wake up and
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: realize the power that we have and be smart and
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: start using your power. Get to the polls and vote. Now.
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: Black people should not all vote for one candidate. We're
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: different people, we have different thoughts. I get it. Every
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: Black person not gonna vote for Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: Some black people gonna vote for Trump. Don't get mad
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: at them. Data decided to live their life like that.
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: Let them go ahead. But if you get out and vote,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: you make the difference. Don't vote is a vote for
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: the other side. Those are my closing remarks. Y'all stay
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: away because they are all right. Y'all have a great weekend.
