- 1:41Speaker 7: To turn the mouth the turn.
- 1:43Speaker 6: You probably got to turn the mouth out the water
- 1:47Speaker 6: of the monjup looking.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on, you'll think, uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody you are listening to the voice, Come
- 2:06Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only Steve harvey Man
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show. Real glad about it too.
- 2:14Speaker 8: You know.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I hope that God always keeps me in the frame
- 2:20Speaker 1: of mind to try to be sharing and try to
- 2:25Speaker 1: be motivational and ubly even when it's not felt or
- 2:30Speaker 1: wanted by some people. I have people around me who
- 2:35Speaker 1: seem to not benefit at all or anything, and I
- 2:38Speaker 1: can sit with them and talk to them or take
- 2:41Speaker 1: meetings with them to try to encourage them, and for
- 2:43Speaker 1: whatever reason, you know, they want to just keep going
- 2:45Speaker 1: the way they're going. When you run into people like that,
- 2:49Speaker 1: you have to pray for them. You have to just
- 2:50Speaker 1: hope that one day that they release the chains on
- 2:54Speaker 1: their mind and open up your mind to a new
- 2:56Speaker 1: way of thinking. A couple of things I wanted to
- 2:59Speaker 1: go over with that I want you all today in
- 3:01Speaker 1: terms of motivation. I want you to be aware of
- 3:06Speaker 1: statements or old sayings that have been created that you
- 3:11Speaker 1: hear over the course of time, and you may be
- 3:15Speaker 1: applying them to your life. And I want you to
- 3:18Speaker 1: be careful of some of them because some of these
- 3:21Speaker 1: old sayings, man, are not designed for people who are dreamers,
- 3:28Speaker 1: are not designed for people who have any aspirations of
- 3:32Speaker 1: being extraordinary. These are not designs or sayings that people
- 3:38Speaker 1: who want to be extremely successful at anything or have
- 3:42Speaker 1: high aspirations to put these sayings into your life. Let
- 3:47Speaker 1: me give you an example. Statistics say that's it. That's
- 3:54Speaker 1: the one I want you to be careful about. Statistics say,
- 4:00Speaker 1: be very careful of stats. When a person says, you know, statistics,
- 4:06Speaker 1: say one out of every what see, listen to me.
- 4:11Speaker 1: These are things that sound like they're good, sound solid advice,
- 4:16Speaker 1: but they're setting you up for failure.
- 4:18Speaker 9: And you can't adhere.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yourself to a lot of these sayings that's been passed
- 4:24Speaker 1: down from generations, and it's not scripture, it ain't in
- 4:29Speaker 1: a scripture nowhere that statistics say. It's just some people
- 4:34Speaker 1: and a lot of people who have lost have come
- 4:37Speaker 1: up with these sayings to justify why they keep losing
- 4:42Speaker 1: or why they lost. When I Ears got started in
- 4:46Speaker 1: the business, there were more stand ups around now than
- 4:50Speaker 1: it is today because the comedy boom in eighty four
- 4:54Speaker 1: eighty five was it was gaining a lot of momentums,
- 4:59Speaker 1: comedy club, comedy nights everywhere. The statistic that a guy
- 5:03Speaker 1: told me I told him I wanted to be on
- 5:08Speaker 1: the Johnny Carson Show, the Tonight Show. The guy said,
- 5:14Speaker 1: one out of every two thousand comedians ever make it
- 5:20Speaker 1: to the Tonight Show. Okay, Now, when he told us that,
- 5:27Speaker 1: some of the comedians in the room went, well, wow,
- 5:30Speaker 1: man's that's rough. Because a guy had also said that
- 5:35Speaker 1: there was approximately six thousand comedians in the country at
- 5:40Speaker 1: that time. I don't know if it was true. I'm
- 5:42Speaker 1: just telling you a guy was out there fewer numbers.
- 5:44Speaker 1: I have no idea how many it was, but he
- 5:47Speaker 1: said one in every two thousand will make it to
- 5:50Speaker 1: the Tonight Show. And he let the air out of
- 5:52Speaker 1: everybody in the room but me. So every night before
- 5:57Speaker 1: I went on stage, I used to do this right here,
- 5:59Speaker 1: but bad. That was the tonight theme song. I was
- 6:10Speaker 1: young opening act nowhere near Hollywood, didn't I was in
- 6:14Speaker 1: Cleveland telling jokes at one night. But that was my
- 6:17Speaker 1: thing because I was bent and determined that if it's
- 6:21Speaker 1: one in two thousand, okay, why don't I just be
- 6:24Speaker 1: the one?
- 6:26Speaker 9: Be careful when.
- 6:27Speaker 1: People say statistics say because they are set up to
- 6:31Speaker 1: fulfailure if you're gonna adhere to them. See that one
- 6:34Speaker 1: in so many it wanted so many people win the lottery.
- 6:36Speaker 1: But if you don't play the lottery, you ain't gonna
- 6:38Speaker 1: be the one to hit. Not when the dude hits
- 6:39Speaker 1: you go while he was lucky, but he played. Here's
- 6:43Speaker 1: another one. Maybe it's not meant to be. Let's go
- 6:48Speaker 1: one step further. I guess it wasn't the Lord's will.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Don't you dare blame God for something you may have
- 6:57Speaker 1: not done yourself because you didn't get the proper education,
- 7:02Speaker 1: because you didn't do the things you were supposed to do,
- 7:05Speaker 1: because you didn't stay to the task, because you quit,
- 7:09Speaker 1: turned around and went the other way. Now, maybe it's
- 7:12Speaker 1: not it wasn't the Lord's will. These are all statements
- 7:16Speaker 1: that sound like sound advice, but they ain't all the time,
- 7:21Speaker 1: got nothing to do with you. Stop letting these old
- 7:26Speaker 1: fogy sayings get in your way of what can happen
- 7:29Speaker 1: in your life. Don't put all your eggs in one basket?
- 7:36Speaker 1: Who came up with this?
- 7:39Speaker 9: Who came up with it?
- 7:40Speaker 1: If you don't pour all your efforts into one thing,
- 7:44Speaker 1: how are you gonna be great at that one thing?
- 7:47Speaker 1: If Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird had
- 7:52Speaker 1: not played basketball sun up to sundown. Magic Johnson didn't
- 7:57Speaker 1: go to Michigan to get an education. Larry Berry ain't
- 8:02Speaker 1: go to Indiana to get an education. These cats was balling.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Michael Jordan didn't go to North Carolina get an education.
- 8:10Speaker 1: They went to play ball. They went to do one thing.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Tiger Woods didn't go to Stafford to get an education.
- 8:18Speaker 1: He went to play golf. Soon as he got good enough,
- 8:21Speaker 1: he gone, These are guys that put all they eggs
- 8:25Speaker 1: in one basket. See what's cool with putting all your
- 8:29Speaker 1: eggs in one basket is you now can maximize your
- 8:32Speaker 1: effort and laser beam what you're doing. Your problem is
- 8:37Speaker 1: all you gotta do is make sure what is your
- 8:40Speaker 1: basket made out of If your basket is made out
- 8:44Speaker 1: of faith, hope, hard work, and belief, then guess what,
- 8:49Speaker 1: that's a good basket. I'm dumping all mine in it.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Because ever since I was a young dude, I've been
- 8:55Speaker 1: telling jokes, one thing, one thing only. Even when it
- 8:58Speaker 1: got ugly and I was living in a car, I
- 9:00Speaker 1: never quit telling them jokes. Man. I just kept believing
- 9:03Speaker 1: that them jokes was gonna pay me one day, and
- 9:06Speaker 1: I'll be dog gone if it didn't. I ain't taking
- 9:09Speaker 1: no time off. Go work at the Walmart, get me
- 9:11Speaker 1: a job, go back to Ford and big for my
- 9:13Speaker 1: job back. Hey, man, put all your eggs in a basket.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Just make sure that your basket is made up of faith, hope, belief,
- 9:22Speaker 1: hard work. Your basket woven by God. What you tripping for?
- 9:28Speaker 1: You're defeating yourself. Where is your faith? Where is your belief?
- 9:33Speaker 1: Where is your trust? At one point in time, you
- 9:36Speaker 1: got to bleed that God could do what he said
- 9:38Speaker 1: gonna do because he'dn done it for others, He'll most
- 9:41Speaker 1: certainly do it for you. Be careful of these sayings
- 9:44Speaker 1: that's out here, that's aligned by losers and people to
- 9:48Speaker 1: justify why they are not succeeding. Don't apply this stuff
- 9:51Speaker 1: to your life, and it ain't got nothing to do
- 9:52Speaker 1: with you. You're gonna mess yourself up. All right, Okay,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening morning yea, Ladies and gentlemen, let me have
- 10:04Speaker 1: it your undivided attention. I know I say it every day,
- 10:08Speaker 1: but man, it just bears repeating. You all, I don't
- 10:11Speaker 1: really want you to overlook a very very basic and
- 10:15Speaker 1: simple fact that today was given to us. This is
- 10:19Speaker 1: something we've never had before. We've never had this day,
- 10:22Speaker 1: We've never had this moment. We've been giving this incredible
- 10:26Speaker 1: gift of life again. I know it comes with a
- 10:29Speaker 1: lot of struggles. I know it comes with some situations
- 10:33Speaker 1: that you got to grapple with. That's called life. The
- 10:36Speaker 1: sun ain't gonna shine all the time, because if it did,
- 10:38Speaker 1: you wouldn't appreciate it. You have the night so you can.
- 10:42Speaker 9: Appreciate the day.
- 10:43Speaker 1: You had, the clouds so you can enjoy the sun.
- 10:46Speaker 1: You had the flowers. But you're gonna have to have
- 10:48Speaker 1: his rain, now, you understand. So however it is, I'm
- 10:52Speaker 1: just grateful that I'm here for it. I want you
- 10:54Speaker 1: to join it with me. And be grateful to y'all,
- 10:56Speaker 1: be grateful that God gave us this wonderful day today.
- 11:00Speaker 9: Love it, man, Thank you Lord. I appreciate you.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Man.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Hope you give me a whole lot more. I love
- 11:04Speaker 1: to live for one hundred and four years. But if
- 11:06Speaker 1: you call me home early, just hope I'm ready to go.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm not, but I just wanted to throw that out there.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I'm clearly not right now as it.
- 11:19Speaker 9: Talking to.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Need a couple more forgivenesses to make sure, ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:27Speaker 1: this is the Steve Harvey Martin Show, Shelley Strawberry calling
- 11:30Speaker 1: for real Mississippi Monica Junior government named kills, frights and
- 11:34Speaker 1: the legend of nephew Tommy. Ladies and gentlemen, and wah,

- 11:44Speaker 1: that means it's me, Yeah, junior, what's on your mind today?
- 11:51Speaker 2: Man?
- 11:52Speaker 10: You know what?
- 11:53Speaker 8: Man?
- 11:54Speaker 7: You know these house projects, you know you know this
- 11:58Speaker 7: is the part that you know. Man, I had to
- 11:59Speaker 7: get the sealed up.
- 12:01Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, I wasn't ready for that.
- 12:04Speaker 7: No, I just I just I feel what else is
- 12:06Speaker 7: coming down the line?
- 12:07Speaker 11: What a man?
- 12:08Speaker 9: Something you had you ever said that before.
- 12:10Speaker 12: I ain't never said it had to get a deck sere.
- 12:12Speaker 12: I ain't even know decks got sealed. I had no idea.
- 12:17Speaker 12: I thought it was just wood outside.
- 12:20Speaker 1: All you had to do is just go sit on it.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Now you got to see junior, See junior, You see
- 12:23Speaker 1: how your life you change. Yeah, yeah, now you got
- 12:26Speaker 1: a deck. Used to have a little lad balcony. No, yeah,
- 12:33Speaker 1: yeah that was their balcony. Yeah, this is your deck.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Mm hm, man ain't God good? Yeah? But see to
- 12:45Speaker 1: whom much is given, much is required. Now how you
- 12:51Speaker 1: do this garage?
- 12:52Speaker 7: You gotta put some down for the garage too.
- 12:54Speaker 9: You need to do that yourself.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Well everything you got to go to d why d
- 13:01Speaker 1: I Y whatever they call it, do it yourself. I
- 13:03Speaker 1: ain't done it in a while, but I used to.
- 13:06Speaker 1: You got to learn how you need to stay in
- 13:08Speaker 1: your garage floor. You need to figure out what your
- 13:10Speaker 1: garage gonna be. First. Yeah, it is gonna keep tools
- 13:13Speaker 1: and guard and equipment in it. Then you got to
- 13:16Speaker 1: watch what you call your car just calls. Don't be
- 13:21Speaker 1: hanging bikes in it. Because you ever had a bike
- 13:23Speaker 1: fall on your car, you ain't gonna want that bike. No,
- 13:25Speaker 1: damn more you that. I tell you that right now,
- 13:29Speaker 1: all that bike hanging, yeah, get a damn kickstand.
- 13:35Speaker 7: I'm figuring out all right.
- 13:37Speaker 5: All right, guys, coming up at thirty two minutes after
- 13:39Speaker 5: the hour, we'll hear from the nephews.
- 13:41Speaker 4: He runs that prank back right after this. You're listening
- 13:46Speaker 4: morning show?
- 13:48Speaker 5: All right, nephew, it's time to start the morning off.
- 13:50Speaker 5: Would run that prank back?
- 13:51Speaker 4: What you got for us?
- 13:53Speaker 11: It's time for some corporal punishments, Shirley. Let's get back
- 13:57Speaker 11: to whipping and it's time we got way away from it.
- 14:01Speaker 11: It's time to get back to whipping that behind cat dog,
- 14:05Speaker 11: if you could corporal punishment.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Oh hello, Hello, Hi, I'm trying to reach it.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Mister Cotton, mismss Cotton.
- 14:14Speaker 11: My name is mister Lanson. I'm actually the new principal
- 14:17Speaker 11: here at middle school.
- 14:19Speaker 2: And what's the name.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Again, mister Lanson.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Mister Lanson?
- 14:22Speaker 11: Okay, your your son he attends middle school here? Am
- 14:26Speaker 11: I correct?
- 14:26Speaker 10: Yes?
- 14:27Speaker 2: Sir?
- 14:27Speaker 11: Okay, good listen. I'm the new principal here. We've just
- 14:31Speaker 11: replaced the last principal and I'm actually calling around. What
- 14:35Speaker 11: I've done is when I before I got here, I
- 14:37Speaker 11: asked for a list of students that were you know,
- 14:40Speaker 11: I'm not going to say problem kids, but you know
- 14:43Speaker 11: that kind of get themselves in a little trouble here
- 14:45Speaker 11: and there.
- 14:46Speaker 1: And your son's name happens to be on the list.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Name is on that list.
- 14:50Speaker 11: Yes, I got about I got about thirty five kids
- 14:53Speaker 11: that are actually on this list, and your son is
- 14:57Speaker 11: actually on the list.
- 14:58Speaker 1: And you are, mister of Cotton, correct.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I am mist I mean, are you sure you speaking
- 15:04Speaker 2: about my son though?
- 15:05Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean there's only there's only one on the list, sir.
- 15:09Speaker 11: I'm it's it's it's what's been given to me. And
- 15:12Speaker 11: what what I'm doing is calling around to all of
- 15:13Speaker 11: the parents of the kids that are on this list
- 15:17Speaker 11: and letting you guys know that I'm going to be
- 15:19Speaker 11: keeping a closed eye on them as well as letting
- 15:22Speaker 11: you know that I'm going to be reinstating corporal punishment
- 15:25Speaker 11: here in the school. So so what's that That's actually
- 15:29Speaker 11: where if your son gets sent to the office, which
- 15:31Speaker 11: is my office, then there will be paddling going on.
- 15:34Speaker 11: And opposed to I don't believe in I don't believe
- 15:37Speaker 11: in I don't believe in suspension. I believe in you know,
- 15:41Speaker 11: if we spank these kids, we can get them back
- 15:43Speaker 11: in order. So, sir, here's my thing. I really truly
- 15:48Speaker 11: believe that we get back to you know, and I
- 15:50Speaker 11: don't mean what I'm about to say to be harsh,
- 15:51Speaker 11: but if we get back to beating, we'll get these
- 15:54Speaker 11: kids back in order.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I mean, but I know he had troubled in English,
- 15:57Speaker 2: but I don't think that calls for beating.
- 16:01Speaker 4: No, no, no, no.
- 16:02Speaker 11: This has nothing to do with great sir. This has
- 16:04Speaker 11: to do with punishment. And what I'm understanding is if
- 16:07Speaker 11: your son is on my list, and if your son
- 16:09Speaker 11: comes down to my office, I'm gonna take care of
- 16:12Speaker 11: it right then and there.
- 16:13Speaker 2: What if my son come to your offer, You're gonna
- 16:15Speaker 2: be on my damn list, Sir.
- 16:17Speaker 11: I'm trying to get these kids back in order. That's
- 16:19Speaker 11: the reason why I've been brought in, and I've replaced
- 16:21Speaker 11: the last principle.
- 16:22Speaker 1: You understand.
- 16:23Speaker 11: So what I need from you is to get to
- 16:25Speaker 11: get a great understanding that if your child comes to
- 16:27Speaker 11: my office, corporal punishment will be what he's going to
- 16:31Speaker 11: deal with.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Okay, I'll tell you what. Let my son come home
- 16:34Speaker 2: and tell me he got some damn corporal punishment, and
- 16:36Speaker 2: the next morning me and you're gonna do some corporal punishment.
- 16:39Speaker 11: Sir, do you want your child in order or do
- 16:41Speaker 11: you want to be bailing his butt out of jail
- 16:43Speaker 11: at the age of eighteen.
- 16:44Speaker 6: They gonna be.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Bailing me out of jail if you put your damn
- 16:46Speaker 2: hands on my son.
- 16:48Speaker 11: Okay, are you taking care of your son? Punishment wise
- 16:51Speaker 11: at home?
- 16:52Speaker 2: You need to my son don't give you no damn trouble.
- 16:55Speaker 11: Okay, here, here's the problem. Parents not be leaving that
- 17:00Speaker 11: their children get in any trouble. That's the first part.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Well, I got email, I got a phone call. So
- 17:06Speaker 2: the first phone call I get is going straight whipping it.
- 17:09Speaker 2: Ain't no letter, sit home, ain't no email, sit home
- 17:11Speaker 2: saying day it's a problem.
- 17:13Speaker 6: I don't.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I don't.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I don't, sir.
- 17:15Speaker 11: I'll you know I'm gonna come down here. I'm gonna
- 17:17Speaker 11: tell you once again, I am not going to send
- 17:22Speaker 11: your son to detention. I'm not gonna call you. I'm
- 17:24Speaker 11: gonna take care of my job.
- 17:26Speaker 2: My job is to make it I'm gonna take care
- 17:28Speaker 2: of mine when you take care of your, I'm gonna
- 17:30Speaker 2: take care of mine and that protect my son, and
- 17:32Speaker 2: you put your hands on him, and we got a problem.
- 17:35Speaker 11: We're gonna have a problem because nine time. I'm telling you,
- 17:38Speaker 11: right now, I'm calling you and giving you the warning.
- 17:40Speaker 11: Your son will be dealt with, and you're gonna be
- 17:42Speaker 11: dealt with, will be dealt with on a regular basis
- 17:45Speaker 11: if needs to be.
- 17:46Speaker 2: You're gonna get dealt with on a regular But you're
- 17:48Speaker 2: gonna get tired of seeing.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Me, sir. Do I need to actually have corporal punishment
- 17:52Speaker 1: with you?
- 17:53Speaker 2: I tell you what, when you do, when you bring
- 17:54Speaker 2: that corporal punishment to me, you better have the police
- 17:57Speaker 2: there because they gonna need corporal punishment. They gonna need whatever.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Hell they're gonna need to swat team when I get
- 18:02Speaker 2: down you put your hands on my son. I know
- 18:04Speaker 2: that all them.
- 18:05Speaker 1: You know what, sir, Maybe maybe maybe the swipper needs
- 18:09Speaker 1: to start with you.
- 18:10Speaker 2: It has matter of fact, what time do you go
- 18:12Speaker 2: to lunch? If we can do this in front of
- 18:14Speaker 2: the cafeteria and let all the kids see the damn principal,
- 18:18Speaker 2: get your damn corporal punishment, sir, Sir.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I'm not, I'm not. I don't I don't fear you kirsonal.
- 18:23Speaker 2: You to fan me because I want you to stand
- 18:25Speaker 2: there and take your whipping like man. I don't want
- 18:27Speaker 2: to chase your around like no little ground in.
- 18:29Speaker 11: School, Sir, Sir, sir, The bottom line is, corporal punishment
- 18:33Speaker 11: is being instated. Your son is gonna abide by it.

- 36:44Speaker 5: We all know about Trump's indictment last month in the
- 36:47Speaker 5: Special Counsul's probe into handling of classified materials after leaving office,
- 36:53Speaker 5: and his indictment back in April on New York State
- 36:56Speaker 5: charges of falsifying business records in connection with a hush
- 37:00Speaker 5: money payment made to adult film stars Stormy Daniels. Trump
- 37:04Speaker 5: is scheduled to appear in a federal courthouse this afternoon.
- 37:10Speaker 1: This one on the state level in Georgia has real
- 37:13Speaker 1: complications for him because there is a recording of him
- 37:18Speaker 1: asking the lead vote official to find eleven hundred votes.
- 37:24Speaker 1: He's recorded saying that that's a problem. It would be
- 37:27Speaker 1: a major problem for anybody else. Why they have a
- 37:31Speaker 1: fear of this man is beyond me and this party
- 37:36Speaker 1: man now is starting to splinter because there are some
- 37:40Speaker 1: people who are willing to run for president in our
- 37:45Speaker 1: position of him, including Pence. Yeah, so.
- 37:52Speaker 9: Is starting to splinter.
- 37:54Speaker 1: But somebody has to come out and say, in the
- 37:57Speaker 1: Republican Party, we've got to do be able to do
- 38:00Speaker 1: better than this.
- 38:01Speaker 4: No president in the history has indicted.
- 38:04Speaker 15: This one is three time, and this is your man,
- 38:08Speaker 15: this is your candidate possible.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Just the best pay then you can offer to America
- 38:14Speaker 1: and his ignorant Trump supporters.
- 38:16Speaker 4: They denied the truth. They're in denial.
- 38:18Speaker 1: But that's what the whole critical race theory is about.
- 38:21Speaker 1: They want to deny the truth, they want to deny.
- 38:24Speaker 4: History, right exactly.
- 38:26Speaker 1: So you want to remove that so those types of
- 38:29Speaker 1: people can not feel guilty or bad about what was done.
- 38:33Speaker 1: That's that's crazy, and we cannot let this happen. He's
- 38:40Speaker 1: supposed to go to jail if dog, imagine if Barack
- 38:45Speaker 1: Obama had been indicted three times.
- 38:47Speaker 9: What are we talking about here?
- 38:50Speaker 1: Anybody else? Tim Scott, the little black dude that thinks
- 38:54Speaker 1: he's finn be elected by the white folk. She like
- 39:00Speaker 1: to you got to cut this out, though, dog, You
- 39:04Speaker 1: put your ass on over here with being casting and
- 39:09Speaker 1: today how they do all right? Well?
- 39:14Speaker 5: Coming up us coming up in thirty four minutes after
- 39:18Speaker 5: the hour, we'll talk about getting healthy.
- 39:22Speaker 4: Right after this. You're listening Hardy Morning Show.
- 39:27Speaker 5: So have you guys seen the latest cover of Men's
- 39:29Speaker 5: Health magazine with Method Man, Busta Rhymes, and fifty cent.
- 39:33Speaker 5: The magazine is honoring the fiftieth anniversary of hip hop
- 39:37Speaker 5: by talking about strength, survival and grit.
- 39:40Speaker 4: So Steve method Man is tall like you. He's about
- 39:43Speaker 4: sixty three, he's fifty one years old, and he's into
- 39:45Speaker 4: weightlifting like you.
- 39:47Speaker 5: Here's a question for you. Why is cold plunging now
- 39:52Speaker 5: a part of your workout? Because you do it every
- 39:55Speaker 5: day now you've been doing it for quite a while.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll pass to one hundred mark, so you've done
- 40:03Speaker 1: it one hundred times. Tis there's nothing to do with weightlifting.
- 40:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you that right now. And I don't
- 40:09Speaker 1: lift like Method Man. Do I have jobs. I have
- 40:12Speaker 1: a lot of jobs lift because as you get older,
- 40:16Speaker 1: you have to lift, because lifting is important. It just
- 40:19Speaker 1: keeps you younger, you know, Like, I'm gonna go lift
- 40:22Speaker 1: today after the show. I just got of lift.
- 40:24Speaker 9: You gotta do that.
- 40:25Speaker 1: But cold plunging, for me, it does several things. First
- 40:29Speaker 1: of all, it's invigorating. It it would it heightens my
- 40:34Speaker 1: alertness and clarity because anytime you put your body under
- 40:38Speaker 1: that type of I don't want to say the wrong word,
- 40:42Speaker 1: but it undert any time you put your body under
- 40:45Speaker 1: that type of attack and put it in a situation
- 40:48Speaker 1: where your body starts to have to save its life,
- 40:51Speaker 1: it releases a thing called protein synthesis where everything in
- 40:55Speaker 1: your body, your liver, dumps out all of this to
- 40:58Speaker 1: screech these chemicals to go to help save your life,
- 41:03Speaker 1: you know, and everything rushes to the core to start
- 41:06Speaker 1: producing heat to save your life. And that is quite
- 41:13Speaker 1: quite an invigorating thing. And in order to save your life,
- 41:18Speaker 1: it has to produce heat. To produce heat, your body
- 41:20Speaker 1: has to burn brown fat to produce heat. So it
- 41:24Speaker 1: has helped me in the fat department quite I've lost
- 41:27Speaker 1: sixteen pounds of fat off my body hold so the
- 41:33Speaker 1: cold plunging alone, I can do it now, of course
- 41:36Speaker 1: I eat right.
- 41:37Speaker 6: How long do you think you can do?
- 41:38Speaker 2: Time?
- 41:39Speaker 9: One minute?
- 41:40Speaker 1: It I don't see six at all.
- 41:45Speaker 9: I do six minutes?
- 41:48Speaker 4: And why six minutes?
- 41:52Speaker 9: Because that's why told me to do No?
- 41:55Speaker 4: Okay, is this just some random number or you know?
- 42:00Speaker 1: I mean, at one point in time, you can't stay
- 42:02Speaker 1: in fifty degree water, just your body won't survive that
- 42:06Speaker 1: after a while, and after a while, there's no science
- 42:10Speaker 1: that says longer it's better, So you know, along with that,
- 42:14Speaker 1: and I think the other thing is just my Elevate
- 42:17Speaker 1: You product. To be honest with you, man, I think
- 42:19Speaker 1: using that every day has been probably the biggest benefit
- 42:23Speaker 1: to me because it's given me the energy to do
- 42:25Speaker 1: all these things. And you know, just in case you
- 42:29Speaker 1: were wondering about it, the stick packs Elevate You and
- 42:33Speaker 1: the gummies are now in Walmart. I mean they in there, Dogger,
- 42:37Speaker 1: you ain't even got to now. It ain't no no
- 42:39Speaker 1: if you don't see them in your Walmart, because they're
- 42:41Speaker 1: in the Walmart down here by my ranch, and they
- 42:45Speaker 1: I know, good hell well, if it's down here, it
- 42:48Speaker 1: got to be one. You end up in Atlanta and Chicago. Yeah,
- 42:54Speaker 1: I know, I nt count them down here. After the
- 42:59Speaker 1: Walmart carries the stick packs and you can get the
- 43:03Speaker 1: green flavors and the stick packs where you can travel
- 43:06Speaker 1: with its easy, no more scooping, take it on the go.
- 43:09Speaker 1: And they got the gummies for increase your immune system.
- 43:12Speaker 1: The metabolism is really going well in the digestive health.
- 43:15Speaker 1: And they're Walmart now. So between those three things that
- 43:19Speaker 1: out in corporate. I do some other things too, like
- 43:21Speaker 1: I do pay attention very closely to what I eat.
- 43:24Speaker 1: But that's been the success of it, man, just a
- 43:27Speaker 1: huge part of the success. That's big. That's big. Yeah.
- 43:31Speaker 4: I also wanted to ask Tommy and Jr. About their
- 43:33Speaker 4: workout routine.
- 43:35Speaker 7: Yeah, because Tommy's a runner.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Yeah, you slim down quite a bit.
- 43:41Speaker 2: You want to know.
- 43:41Speaker 7: My workout is, Yeah, whatelse my wife tells me to do. Yeah,
- 43:47Speaker 7: take that trash at Mappa's flows back. Did you call
- 43:51Speaker 7: them people down there? Who coming over? Yeah, listen, that's
- 43:55Speaker 7: my work out.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Make that bed up.
- 43:58Speaker 7: Listen, listen, pull up out for me to cook. I
- 44:01Speaker 7: got a bunch of workouts.
- 44:03Speaker 12: You lose weight by taking meat out the free zom
- 44:06Speaker 12: you tell me what, Yeah, to gym.
- 44:10Speaker 7: Just wait for my phone call, all.
- 44:13Speaker 5: Right, coming up next to the nephew and today's prank
- 44:16Speaker 5: phone call right after this. You're listening Hard Morning Show
- 44:24Speaker 5: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:26Speaker 5: four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today, and
- 44:29Speaker 5: the subject is I like taffy but he doesn't. We'll
- 44:33Speaker 5: get into that find out what that's all about. In
- 44:37Speaker 5: just a few because right now it is time for
- 44:39Speaker 5: the nephew and today's prank phone call.

- 54:21Speaker 5: Here's Stephen Shirley. I met my husband two years ago
- 54:24Speaker 5: and we got married for Valentine's. We met at a
- 54:27Speaker 5: nightclub and it's a funny story how we met he
- 54:30Speaker 5: was on the dance floor with a very beautiful and
- 54:32Speaker 5: curvy woman. I was dancing next to them, and the
- 54:36Speaker 5: girl he was dancing with pulled me over to dance
- 54:39Speaker 5: between them. She started grinding on me, and he got
- 54:42Speaker 5: closer and started grinding on me too. The girl, whose
- 54:45Speaker 5: name is Taffy, gave me her cell number and her
- 54:48Speaker 5: driver's license. She had game and she knew how to
- 54:53Speaker 5: get me to go home with her. She told me
- 54:55Speaker 5: to do a screenshot of her license and send it
- 54:57Speaker 5: to my best friend so she'd know my where a.
- 55:00Speaker 5: That did make me more at ease about going to
- 55:03Speaker 5: her house. I followed her home and the guy who's
- 55:06Speaker 5: my husband now was right behind me. We did bourbon
- 55:10Speaker 5: shots and smoked weed and I was feeling tingly in
- 55:13Speaker 5: all the right places. I'm sure you know what happened next.
- 55:17Speaker 5: We had a threesome that lasted all night, and by
- 55:20Speaker 5: the next morning I was hooked on both of them.
- 55:23Speaker 5: He was one of a kind in bed, and she
- 55:26Speaker 5: was my first female experience. The guy and I started
- 55:29Speaker 5: dating exclusively without Taffy, but I did beg him to
- 55:33Speaker 5: have Taffy join us a few times. He would not
- 55:36Speaker 5: allow it, so I had to respect his wishes. He
- 55:39Speaker 5: also blamed the threesome with Taffy on alcohol, but I
- 55:43Speaker 5: was not drunk and I knew.
- 55:44Speaker 4: Exactly what I was doing.
- 55:47Speaker 5: I revisited the subject of Taffy joining us for his
- 55:49Speaker 5: birthday in August, and he calmly asked me not to
- 55:53Speaker 5: ever bring up Taffy to him again. I knew that
- 55:55Speaker 5: wasn't the right time to tell him. I've been seeing
- 55:58Speaker 5: Taffy since we got mad Am, I supposed to stop
- 56:02Speaker 5: seeing Taffy because he doesn't like her. Well, no, you're
- 56:08Speaker 5: not supposed to stop seeing Taffy because he doesn't like her.
- 56:11Speaker 5: You're supposed to stop seeing Taffy because you're married, and
- 56:16Speaker 5: seeing Taffy means that you're having an affair. Okay, that's
- 56:20Speaker 5: what that means. It doesn't mean. It doesn't matter whether
- 56:23Speaker 5: he likes her or not. If you're seeing her behind
- 56:26Speaker 5: his back and you are, then you're cheating on your
- 56:28Speaker 5: husband with Tatfy.
- 56:29Speaker 4: That's what it is.
- 56:30Speaker 5: You're having an affair. Your husband doesn't know you've been
- 56:33Speaker 5: cheating on him since you were married. You got turned
- 56:36Speaker 5: out that crazy night you guys had the threesome, and
- 56:41Speaker 5: he said he was drunk that night, and he's over it,
- 56:43Speaker 5: and he wants you over it too. He doesn't want
- 56:45Speaker 5: you to ever bring her up again.
- 56:47Speaker 1: He's not with it.
- 56:48Speaker 4: Don't you see that? You're his wife now and he
- 56:52Speaker 4: is not willing to share with you or to share you.
- 56:57Speaker 4: So it boils down to this wifey, your husband or Taffy.
- 57:02Speaker 5: That's pretty much what it is. Can you will you
- 57:05Speaker 5: leave Taffy alone for the sake of your marriage? I mean,
- 57:08Speaker 5: we know you like Taffy and all that, but it
- 57:10Speaker 5: doesn't and it doesn't seem like you can let her
- 57:13Speaker 5: go because you're considering telling your husband that you've been
- 57:16Speaker 5: seeing her since you guys got married. So do you
- 57:19Speaker 5: honestly think he's going to stick around after you tell him?
- 57:23Speaker 5: Is this thing with Taffy.
- 57:24Speaker 4: Worth losing your husband over? That's what you have to decide, Steve.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Well, I agree with you, Shirley. A couple other things
- 57:35Speaker 1: I want to add. You know, the subject of this
- 57:39Speaker 1: letter is I like Taffy, but my husband don't. Taffy
- 57:43Speaker 1: is a cold word. I know Taffy is the name girl,
- 57:47Speaker 1: but what do taffy do? What is taffy? Taffy is
- 57:54Speaker 1: a sweet form of candy. Taffy is good, Taffy is stretchable,
- 58:04Speaker 1: Taffy is chewy, Taffy is sticky. Now y'all met at
- 58:12Speaker 1: a night club where y'all was dancing. Now this means
- 58:15Speaker 1: you all are older, because they don't do that at
- 58:18Speaker 1: clubs no more. They just go to clubs and stand around.
- 58:25Speaker 1: My kids when they go to club they ain't no dancing.
- 58:30Speaker 1: They're all in there taking selfies, doing shots and standing
- 58:35Speaker 1: in different sections. Ain't hardly no dancing at clubs no more.
- 58:40Speaker 1: I don't know if you all notice this, but that
- 58:43Speaker 1: ain't what they do. So you all have got to
- 58:45Speaker 1: be older. If y'all was at a club dancing so much,
- 58:48Speaker 1: he was dancing with a beautiful curvy woman. That's another
- 58:51Speaker 1: clue that lets you know you old. She was very
- 58:55Speaker 1: beautiful and curvy. Okay, you all are grown people. Don't
- 58:59Speaker 1: nobody say that. Young people don't use curvey.
- 59:04Speaker 6: Dick.
- 59:05Speaker 1: They got other nasty ways of doing it. That's too
- 59:08Speaker 1: much for radio, But that ain't what they call them.
- 59:12Speaker 1: You was dancing next to him, and the girl pulled
- 59:14Speaker 1: you over and danced between them. She started grinding on me,
- 59:18Speaker 1: and he got close and started grinding on me too.
- 59:22Speaker 1: Then the girl this a part that threw me a
- 59:24Speaker 1: little bit, gave you her cell number and her driver's lushing.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Oh well, she'd have done this before because I ain't
- 59:32Speaker 1: never done that. And I gave a lot of girls
- 59:35Speaker 1: my phone number. Hey am I giving you my drivers?
- 59:39Speaker 11: Like?
- 59:39Speaker 2: Okay?
- 59:41Speaker 9: What this right here? Anyway?
- 59:48Speaker 15: Uh?
- 59:49Speaker 1: She had game?
- 59:50Speaker 9: You say she knew how to get me to go
- 59:52Speaker 9: home with her? What sell number?
- 59:55Speaker 1: Drivers lunching? Because if that's it, I'm telling you right now,
- 59:59Speaker 1: you know how many men gonna go out here and
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: get fake license printed up.
- 1:00:06Speaker 9: If that's all it takes.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: And she told me to do a screenshot of her
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: license and send it to my best friend so she'd
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: know my whereabouts.
- 1:00:15Speaker 9: That did make me feel more at easy?
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Girl, what got to be crazy? How to hell it
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: make you feel of? These could have been a fake license,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: little girl?
- 1:00:26Speaker 9: Anyway, we'll be back. I'll tell you what else.
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: Yeah, hang on, Steve, We'll have part two of your
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the subject
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: for today's Strawberry letter. I like taffy, but he doesn't.
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: Hard Morning Show all right, come on, Steve, let's recap
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: today's strawberry letter. The subject is I like Taffy, but
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: he doesn't.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: All right, So she met this couple, met her husband,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: she's been married a couple of years, at a dance floor.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: He was dancing with this beautiful curvy woman. The woman
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: saw her, pulled her between and started grinding on her
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: husband started grinding on it. The lady gave her her
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: cell number and her driver's license, told him to come home.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: You driving home, meet with the girl. You follow home.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: The guy followed, y'all, who is now your husband?
- 1:01:15Speaker 9: He was right behind me.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Y'all did bourbon shots and smoke weed and was feeling
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: tingly all in the right places.
- 1:01:23Speaker 9: Well, okay, well, I'm sure you know what happened next.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: We had a threesome that lasted all night, and by
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: the next morning I was hooked on both of them.
- 1:01:32Speaker 9: He was one of a kind in bed. She had
- 1:01:34Speaker 9: She was my first female experience.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: The guy and I started dating exclusively without Taffy. Here
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: we go, just what the letter is about. I like Taffy,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: but he don't. We started dating exclusively without Taffy, but
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I did beg him to have Taffy join us A
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: few times he would not allow it, so I had
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: to respect his wishes. He's always blamed the threesome with
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Taffy on alcohol, and I was not drunk, and I
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: knew exactly what I was doing. I revisited the subject
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: of Taffy joining us for his birthday in August. He
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: calmly asked me, don't ever bring up Taffy again to him,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: and I knew that wasn't the right time. Tell him,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: I've been seeing Taffy since we got married. Am I
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: supposed to stop seeing Taffa because he don't like her? Well?
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Surey made the obvious statement, that's truly true. No, you
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: shouldn't stop seeing taff because Taffan don't life. You're supposed
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: to stop seeing Taffy because you was married now, But
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: all this is out the one that don't even worry
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: about that. We forget about morality here. You accepted that
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: this is the way you're gonna do it, and this
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: is what you're doing. So I don't.
- 1:02:39Speaker 9: I don't your answer.
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Your questions, Are you supposed to stop seeing kaffe taff
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: because he don't like her? Well, let me tell you
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: the problem he got with Taffy. He knows something about Taffy.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: You don't. Here's a word that I could use on
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: the radio and be comfortable. Taffy is whoish. Oh that's
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: a radio. So you just went there with Yeah, Taffy's
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: hoe ish and he that's not what he wants. See,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: let me tell you what your problem is that your
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: huh no flood.
- 1:03:18Speaker 9: Out there ain't got nothing to do with it.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: One night passing out screen shots of drivers license getting
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: you to go home. You ain't the first woman she
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: took home. You ain't the last, and he know that. See,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: but he knows something about Taffy.
- 1:03:32Speaker 9: You don't. Here's the problem your husband got.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: The reason he don't want to be bothered with Taffy
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: is because he trying to treat you special and you ain't.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: Your husband actually think he done found something, and now
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: he won't it. Now he's blaming the relationship y'all had
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: on alcohol, which was probably true. Y'all said, y'all doing
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: shots and smoking weed. You knew exactly what you was doing,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: but you was doing shots and smoking weed. You remember
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: it lasted all night. You was hooked on both of them.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: After that, he wasn't hooked on her no more.
- 1:04:05Speaker 9: He wanted you. See, he know what Tiffany do. He
- 1:04:09Speaker 9: didn't done that before.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: Taffy, he'd have followed her home before. It's a trick move.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: He already knows. So now he trying to treat you specially,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: and you ain't. The problem is he don't have what
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: he think he got. He think he got a wife.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Now he thene asked you not to bring her up.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: He'd have told you said for his birthday you wanted
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: to bring up. Now you hit us with the information.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I knew that wasn't the right time to tell him.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: I've been seeing Taffy since we got mad Am. I
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: supposed to stop seeing Taffy because he don't like her.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: See so the same bot, You're gonna keep seeing Taffy.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: And when he find out, you're gonna lose your husband,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: See you won't. You want to do what you want
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: to do. And in this world today, we posed to
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: go along with this, but that ain't cool. See, everybody
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: wants you to accept their lifestyle. But you don't have
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: to listen, folks, you don't have to accept everything you
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: hear today just because somebody want to go along with it.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: And be this and be that. They are allowed to
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: do that. You're free to make choices as human being.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: But you ain't got to like that. I ain't gotta
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: like that. You like threesomes and I don't. I ain't
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: gotta like that. Now he done married you, He don't
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: have no idea. You still kicking it with Tiffy, Taffy Tiffany?
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: Whatever?
- 1:05:43Speaker 9: What difference do it mean?
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: Taffy is not Tiffany?
- 1:05:48Speaker 9: But what difference do it mean?
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: He don't want her? Bought up no more?
- 1:05:53Speaker 9: And you doing her? And you want to know simply?
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: Am I supposed to stop seeing Taffy because he don't
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: like her? What do you know of a married man
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: that can ask that question to his wife? Am I
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: supposed to stop seeing these chicks on the side because
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: my wife don't like her?
- 1:06:13Speaker 6: Do you know how that?
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: What?
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: That has no possibility of working? So how are we
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: supposed to I don't care what you do. Lady, listen
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: to men. Listen to men. You should have never gotten married.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: See you don't found your first experience with a female.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: That's what you want to do?
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Now?
- 1:06:33Speaker 9: You want to be by?
- 1:06:34Speaker 6: Didn't go be bye?
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Ain't nothing wrong with that? Go do you Bye Taffy,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: but that ain't what's it? Bye Taffy, by you, by

- 1:08:08Speaker 1: getting clothes. Man, I don't even food this thing into
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: the regular season. I don't go preseason because some of
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: them people ain't even gonna.
- 1:08:14Speaker 6: Be on the team.
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: No, no, they're probably not.
- 1:08:17Speaker 6: Now I'm cool.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: I'm glad you're excited because I ain't.
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: How do you feel about Aaron Rodgers and the New

- 1:08:25Speaker 1: Oh that's a nice move, fan man, getting on up
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: there with all them thoughts. He'd be having, you know, yeah,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: all that vascination talker, all that on up to New York.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: You know they want to hear that, and I ain't
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: want to hear them green Bay. I can tell you
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: that right now.
- 1:08:40Speaker 9: They listen to all that in New York. He going
- 1:08:42Speaker 9: up there, go to them caves and stuff.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: He be going on them. You know they like all
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: that in New York. They were so sicky as they
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: asked some green Bay talking about going in this cave
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: to think about it for three days, about your ass
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: out the cave and left town.
- 1:08:59Speaker 9: I could have told you that in Hawaii.
- 1:09:02Speaker 12: Yeah, the King Dak Prestott said, Man, he not gonna
- 1:09:06Speaker 12: throw more than ten interceptions this season for the Dallas Cowboys.
- 1:09:09Speaker 7: You believe that, Pippy?
- 1:09:10Speaker 6: What are you gonna do?
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: What are you gonna hand it all? That's a stupid
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: thing to say. Why would you try to creep? Why
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: would you try to accomplish your positive with a negative? Yeah,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: come on, Pippin, I ain't gonna throw no more than ten.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: So you think the ten is all right, dude? Depends
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: on when you throw them, Keen. Yeah, you can throw
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: the one at the end of the game.
- 1:09:37Speaker 9: For the championship. We gonna hate your answer again.
- 1:09:43Speaker 12: Running backs feel like they're not valued in the NFL, Pipping, Well,
- 1:09:46Speaker 12: talk to him about what value be.
- 1:09:47Speaker 7: Do you have some value, Pippings?
- 1:09:49Speaker 11: Hell?
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Yeah, run the thing. I got the one thing everybody won't.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: You're gonna hand it to me, and here they came
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: to get it. Man, you got to pay me, pay
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: me or quit handing it to me. Shake it loose,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: fumble heating me hard man?
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: Damn all right, Junior, thank you.
- 1:10:09Speaker 5: Coming up at the top of the hour, Steve, somebody
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: needs some social media advice. He says, I stupidly answered
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: when my girlfriend asked how she ranked.
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: We'll talk about it right after this. You're listening Harvey
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: Morning Show. This is from Lance on Steve Harvey FM.
- 1:10:28Speaker 5: Lance says, over the weekend, my girlfriend and I were
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: going at it exceptionally well. Afterwards, she turned to me
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: and said, modestly, I've got to be one of the
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: best you've ever been with. I looked at her, not
- 1:10:40Speaker 5: that she's not phenomenal, but the crazy weekend I spent
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: with the strippers going to be tough to beat. So
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: I actually took some time to think about it, way
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: too long, it turns out.
- 1:10:52Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:10:52Speaker 5: And then for some stupid reason, I said I put
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: you third. Less to say, the rest of the weekend
- 1:11:01Speaker 5: didn't go well, so I want to know how do
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: I clean this mess up. I didn't mean to insult her,
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: but I clearly blinked up.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Now he ain't stupid. First of all, though, these are
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: the lessons my father taught me about. The best lesson
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: is a baut lesson, meaning the one you pay for Now.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: You're gonna pay for this because you stoop, because you
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: even said I stupidly said, see bro, when a woman
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: asked you how she rank, and y'all went at it all,
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: and that right there, I've got to be the best.
- 1:11:38Speaker 9: You've ever had.
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Girl, you ain't lying the best I've ever had. Now,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: you can go in your back of your mind. Well
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: except for that time I had that stripple, But now stripple,
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: that stripper is probably excellent because that stripper has had
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: a lot of experience because she ain't just a stripper.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: That's how you got it, because she stripped stripping as advertising.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Not all of them, but there are some who used
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: the stripping as advertising. Once again, not all of them,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: but some. And you ran into one who strips, and
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: then for extra price, we'll show you what what come
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: down off the pole. And that's what you got. Now
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: while you eve even put her in the conversation with
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: your girl, I have no idea, but you are stupid.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: There there's no fix in this. You can go back
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: and say, you know what, I was just messing with you, girl,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: I just wanted to see what your head was. You
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: can tell that lie and try to go from there. No,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: it's not gonna help. He didn't tell this, He didn't
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: tell her the strip a part. Yeah, no, I know.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: But what he should have did, though, was he got
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: to go back and say, you know what, I was
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: just messing with you. Yeah, make sure the best I
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: have had. You need to wrap that up in some
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: flowers and something to the best I've ever had, And
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: I wish I had told you the truth. I was
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: just messing with you to see if see what you're saying.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: It was a horrible mistake. It was the best I've
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: ever had. You gotta start, You gotta go down there
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: or the next time, if there is the next time,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: you're gonna have to let out some You're gonna have
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: to let out some primal screams or some guttural sounds like.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: What like what.
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: Whoa what.
- 1:13:35Speaker 10: Did you just do to me?
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: You're gonna have to go over the top. Dog, You're
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: gonna have to go over the top. It's gonna have
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: to be guttler and primal.
- 1:13:49Speaker 11: No, no, no.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: And when it's over with, you got to lay back
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: and go to sleep with your mouth wide over hand,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: your head off the head of the bed backward and
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: let your mouth hang open and go to sleep, but
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: be completely naked on top of the covers and have
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: your head.
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: Back like she wore him out.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14:13Speaker 9: Yeah, that's the only way you can cover.
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: That's the only way. Can I hear that screen one
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: more time?
- 1:14:19Speaker 9: That we're not doing that?
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: No, Tommy, his come on, Tommy, let's hear your scream.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: Never mind, here we scream, never mind, never mind. You
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: guys have no fun.
- 1:14:47Speaker 9: No, that would have been way motive fun.
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: Oh, look at the time. Look at the time.
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: Coming up at about twenty minutes after the hour, we're
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: gonna have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show twenty
- 1:15:03Speaker 5: minutes after the hour.
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: So Stephen, Tommy, you guys know that August is National
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: Fishing Month. All right, so we know you both love
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: to fish. Steve, we recently saw a video of Marjorie
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: fishing at your family ranch on the gram.
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: So what kind of fish? Tell us about fishing? What
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: kind of fish do you like to catch? All of that?
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: Were you proud of Marjorie for more of a variety
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: than me? So go ahead, But you know, I meant
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: to tell you I went fishing in Tampa, man.
- 1:15:35Speaker 11: I had fun, but we was catching a fish that
- 1:15:39Speaker 11: supposedly it ain't in season, or you don't keep it snook.
- 1:15:42Speaker 11: We called some what you call snook, and I was like,
- 1:15:45Speaker 11: why in the hen is we catching a fish we
- 1:15:47Speaker 11: can't keep.
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: I need fish. I can fry no back. We're just
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: catching and throwing it back.
- 1:15:55Speaker 9: This is not fun.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: I want some I can put in my dog on cooler. Yeah,
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: but I got a lot of snook. See what you
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: salt water fish?
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: You deep?
- 1:16:04Speaker 9: You deep fish?
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: I don't do I fresh water fish only. I fish
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: for bass. Every now and then a crop you'll hit
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: the lure, A big croppy might hit it. But I
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: fish for bass. I hunt farm. I look for cover.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: I look for current change, I look for water temperature
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: or water color. I look for little present town girl.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: It's dead, said man man man walking about. I'm out
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: here fishing, and I WoT bass, large mouth bass. I
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: got some some hybrid fish or hybrid stripe of bass
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: in my other pond. That's really aggressive.
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: But all right, most fascinating. Coming up in thirty three
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: minutes after the hour, we'll play around it. Would you rather?
- 1:16:51Speaker 5: Right after this you're listening Morning show, it's time for
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: another round of would you rather? Would you rather? A
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: high high grade point average or be the most popular
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: in high school? Which one high grade point average or
- 1:17:07Speaker 5: most popular?
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: I wish I had the high grade point There was
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: no chance of me having a high grade point average.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: Nobody would believed it. I'd have been down at the
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: principal's office for cheating.
- 1:17:23Speaker 9: On Hell, will.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Boy?
- 1:17:35Speaker 9: What the hell going on?
- 1:17:36Speaker 5: What would you rather look at your spouse's Internet search history?
- 1:17:41Speaker 5: Or would you rather know all about their past relationship?
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: I don't give a damn, but none of them. I
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: don't care about neither one. Yeah that I'm here now,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: I don't give it. Damn. I don't move the needle.
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: Okay, let's splip it. Would you would you want your
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: spouse to see your Internet search history? I don't know
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: about your relationship.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: I don't.
- 1:18:03Speaker 9: You can look on my mine, and you're gonna have
- 1:18:06Speaker 9: a lot of questions for me.
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: But I'm.
- 1:18:09Speaker 6: What are you over here?
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: I'd be googling and stuff you ain't thought about what.
- 1:18:15Speaker 7: I'm here to sell a dickory?
- 1:18:21Speaker 9: All right?
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: Would you rather have spicy food or bland food for
- 1:18:25Speaker 5: all your meals?
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: Spice all of them. You better get this spice boy food.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: You're gonna be able to not eating. It's gotta be low, low,
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: low spicy. I can't. I don't like real hot spicy food.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: I don't enjoy it.
- 1:18:44Speaker 5: Right, well, yeah, all right. Would you rather be stuck
- 1:18:48Speaker 5: for a year with someone who talks to too much?
- 1:18:51Speaker 5: Or someone stuck for a year with someone who talks
- 1:18:55Speaker 5: too little?
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: B Yeah? Too little? Yeah?
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: You want someone that doesn't say much?
- 1:19:02Speaker 9: Yeah too much? Gotta be crazy?
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: No talking too much.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: No man wants that at all. Talk too much? No,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: talk too little? That's perfect, Yes, really perfect?
- 1:19:21Speaker 6: You would what's wrong with you?
- 1:19:22Speaker 14: Now?
- 1:19:24Speaker 7: Hell no, I won't be concerned about nobody. Never said nothing.
- 1:19:29Speaker 9: Don't even give a damn.
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: There, look pretty?
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: He's less close, less talking less. We won't less.
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: Would you rather go vegan for life or give up
- 1:19:47Speaker 4: alcohol for life?
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Giving up alcohol? I'm not finna be no vecan what? Okay?
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: What I'm not finna be no vegan?
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: You what's wrong, Tommy?
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: I can't be no vegan? Right? All right?
- 1:20:06Speaker 5: Coming up at forty nine minutes after the hour, our
- 1:20:08Speaker 5: last break of the day, and we'll have some closing
- 1:20:11Speaker 5: remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:20:14Speaker 5: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning show. All right, guys, here
- 1:20:18Speaker 5: we are last break of the day on this Thursday.
- 1:20:21Speaker 5: It's been a good day, a fun day. You've got
- 1:20:23Speaker 5: fun today, Steve.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: Any words in closing, I want to share something with you.
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: I have a I'm on a group chat with some
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: brothers I went to school with. Man, it's like thirteen
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: of us. We get together a couple times a year,
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: and it's probably my favorite time of the year because
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: I'll get to hang out with some guys and some
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: men who knew me before all of this happened to me.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: And that's really been a great blessing for me, Man,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: because I'm able to be myself around these men. I
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: don't have to put on no pretenses. They knew me
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: before all of this. They've seen the changes in me,
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: and they see the similarities in me, and they cool
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: with both of them. Because I developed the saying over
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: my life, I was who I was and I am
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: who I am, and I'm cool with both them. People
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: Now I say it a little bit more graphic when
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I'm talking to them, but just for the radio, I
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: was who I was and I am who I am,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: and I'm cool with both them. Blanks and you can
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: put that put that in however you want to. But
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: that's how I said to myself. But we were talking
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: the other day and one of my partners as a pastor,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: and he sent me this thing called the Seven Rules
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: of Life. And he said, Man, when I listened to
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: your show, Steve, I've heard you say all of these
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: things at one point and time. He said, I just
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: thought i'd send it to you. So for the first time,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: I have it kind of all like printed out right,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: the seven Rules of Life, and I'm share them with
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: you right now because they're very, very helpful. And the
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: pastor calls him the seven rules of Life, and he
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: sent them to me. Number one, make peace with your
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: past so it won't disturb your present. I think that's
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: so important for people, man, that you stop allowing who
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: you were, and stop allowing people to come into your
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: life to remind you of.
- 1:22:26Speaker 9: Who you were when clearly you've changed and moved on.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: Stop allowing people to hold you to your past mistakes
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: when God has clearly forgiven you, and move on. Man,
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: I get tired of people talking about me. I don't
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: even worry about that no more. What you did, you
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: left this and you walked out of.
- 1:22:43Speaker 9: Here and you did this. You don't even know the story.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: Rule Number two, what other people think of you, and
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: I learned this from Bishop Jakes. Number two, what other
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: people think of you is none of your business. And
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I've often said that what other people think of you
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: as none of your business, nor should you make it yours.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: It ain't your business what they think of you, because
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: it don't even matter. You'll be so much happy if
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: you could worry about what other people think of you.
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: Number Three. Time heals almost everything. So give it some time.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: You know, people think when something happens to him it's permanent.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: It's given some time. I had a friend of mine
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: whose wife's mother passed, and he called me. He said, man,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: because my mom's still living, I know your mom gone.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: Do you have any advice for my wife? Because she
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: want to give up? And I was going, well, first
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: of all, would your mother wants you to give up?
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: Which all those of us who have lost our mother,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: our mother loved us enough where I'm sure our mother
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: will want us to continue and live the best life
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: we could. So you in here talking about giving up
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: because your mama gone. Hold on, man, get his things.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Some time. It's called grief. It's hard to deal with,
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: but give it some time because time heals almost everything
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: if you give it time. Number four, no one is
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: in charge of your happiness except you. Stop giving people
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: permission to direct your life and determine who you are
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: that's yours. No one is in charge of your happiness
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: except you. Bishop Jakes told me one time. He says,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: it's not your job to make another person happy, nor
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: should you make it yours, because it's a hard job.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: It's an impossible job. You can't make another person happy.
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: I've tried it before, trust me, you can't.
- 1:24:38Speaker 9: Number five.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Don't compare your life to others, and don't judge it
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: because you have no idea what their journey is all about.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: How many times have you been judged by people about
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: your life when they don't even know the story. Somebody
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: asked me one time, They say, man, you always crying
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: every time I see you. You know why I cry
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: when I'm talking about it Because I know the fine print.
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: Y'all saw the headlines. I know the fine print. I
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: know the story. I know the story behind it. I
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: know the context that the story was in. I remember
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: all the pain of it. I remember all the wishing
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: that would change, and now that it's changed, sometime it
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: bring tear to my eyes. So don't compare your life
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: to others, and don't judge them because you ain't got
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: no idea what their journey is all about. Number six,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: Stop thinking too much. It's all right not to know
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: the answer. Do you know how many times you've talked
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: yourself out of something? And the reason you talk yourself
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: out of something because there's an answer you don't have
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: an answer to it. Because there's a question or a
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: problem you don't have an answer to, And because you
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: don't have an answer, it freezes you because I don't
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: know how that's gonna turn out, or I don't know
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: how that's gonna be. Man, Stop thinking too much. It's
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: all right not to know the answers. You ain't supposed
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: to know what your future holds. You just supposed to
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: live and have the faith that it's gonna be all right.
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: It's gonna be some problems coming, know that, But you
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: ain't got to sit here and try to figure out
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: what's wrong with tomorrow.
- 1:26:11Speaker 9: Last, but not least, the seven rules of life.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: Smile, Smile. You don't own all the problems in the world.
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: Smile because you don't own all the problems in the world.
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: Smile because no matter how bad it's going for you,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: you better believe it's going way worse for somebody else. Smile.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Kirk Franklin wrote a song, you look so much better
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: when you smile anyway. I know it's hard, but man,
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: those are the seven rules of life. Man, I just
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: want to share it with you. That's been a benefit
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: to me. I've known them all, but to see them
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: all in print in front of me meant a lot
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: to me the other day, so I thought i'd shared
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: with you. Y'all have a great day today. Talk to
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: God that they love to hear from you. Okay, y'all,
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: stay in peace with all.
- 1:27:07Speaker 10: For all.
