- 1:24Speaker 8: You gotta turn'd to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:42Speaker 2: You probably got to turn the mouth, turn out, turn
- 1:46Speaker 2: a wad of the morning jup. Wodn't come.
- 1:57Speaker 8: Come out?
- 1:58Speaker 9: You're thinking?
- 1:59Speaker 10: Got it?
- 2:00Speaker 11: Uh huh? I sure will. Good morning everybody. You all
- 2:04Speaker 11: listening to the voice, come on, dig me now, one
- 2:07Speaker 11: and only. Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man got
- 2:11Speaker 11: a radio show because God is in a blessing business.
- 2:15Speaker 11: I just happen to be a recipient. I just happened
- 2:19Speaker 11: to got a couple of things right, and man, his
- 2:26Speaker 11: grace and mercy carries you the rest of the way.
- 2:28Speaker 11: All you got to do is get a couple of
- 2:31Speaker 11: things right, and then his grace and his mercy will
- 2:34Speaker 11: take over his favor, his love of you. It's already evident.
- 2:40Speaker 11: I mean, you know, because so many times we go
- 2:42Speaker 11: along without even acknowledging him or conferring with him in
- 2:46Speaker 11: our decisions. And we look up when we find ourselves
- 2:49Speaker 11: in a predicament and he always comes, comes to the rescue.
- 2:53Speaker 11: He always manages to show up. He's never too late,
- 2:59Speaker 11: he's never one minute too late. And so in light
- 3:03Speaker 11: of this today I wanted to talk to you about something.
- 3:09Speaker 11: It's another principle of success that I'd like to share
- 3:13Speaker 11: with everybody this morning. And once again, these are not
- 3:16Speaker 11: things that you don't know or you've never heard before.
- 3:20Speaker 11: These are just reminders along the way. And one of
- 3:24Speaker 11: the things you have to be conscious of is don't
- 3:27Speaker 11: be afraid to change. Don't be afraid to change because
- 3:32Speaker 11: change is coming anyway. See, I have a theory, don't
- 3:37Speaker 11: be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. You know,
- 3:41Speaker 11: everything changes, nothing remains the same nothing, and change is inevitable. Now,
- 3:49Speaker 11: you could participate in the change, or you can react
- 3:53Speaker 11: to the change. Are you following me. You can participate
- 3:58Speaker 11: in the change or you can react to the change.
- 4:04Speaker 11: But don't be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. Now,
- 4:08Speaker 11: what I mean by that is this, in participating in
- 4:12Speaker 11: the change or reacting in the change, there is a difference. See,
- 4:18Speaker 11: if you react to the change, that means the change
- 4:22Speaker 11: has occurred and now you have to make the necessary
- 4:25Speaker 11: adjustments to the change. Example, the boss walks in. You
- 4:31Speaker 11: think your job is good. The boss walks in and
- 4:33Speaker 11: hands you a pink slip. That right there, that's a change.
- 4:39Speaker 11: Now you didn't participate in this change because you didn't
- 4:41Speaker 11: ask for the pink slip. But now you've got to
- 4:44Speaker 11: react to the pink slip. Whenever you have to react
- 4:48Speaker 11: to the change, it's an adjustment period. It almost throws
- 4:54Speaker 11: you off. So change is going to come it all
- 5:02Speaker 11: you could participate or you can react. Or let's say
- 5:08Speaker 11: your boss comes in and hands you the pink slip
- 5:12Speaker 11: and you said, you know what I've been preparing for
- 5:15Speaker 11: this day.
- 5:17Speaker 9: Always knew nothing.
- 5:18Speaker 11: Last forever, I've been working on the sideline on the
- 5:22Speaker 11: business idea I had, and I had or I had
- 5:26Speaker 11: several other applications in around town. I was just holding
- 5:29Speaker 11: off to see what was going going. So when they
- 5:31Speaker 11: hand you the pink slip, the transition, the adjustment you
- 5:35Speaker 11: make is a lot more smoother transition because now you
- 5:39Speaker 11: just transition into your new business idea that you've been
- 5:42Speaker 11: working on. Are you transitioned into the apps you already
- 5:45Speaker 11: had in or the contacts you made the preparation for
- 5:49Speaker 11: when the day they come in hand. You the pink slip. Well, Steve,
- 5:52Speaker 11: what did they surprise you with it? This is just
- 5:54Speaker 11: one example I'm giving you. So you know, let's let's
- 5:57Speaker 11: not nick pick the message. So what I'm saying to
- 6:01Speaker 11: everybody is don't be afraid to change, because change is
- 6:05Speaker 11: coming anyway. So many people are stuck in a rut
- 6:10Speaker 11: because of our refusal to change. I was hell bent
- 6:16Speaker 11: on a certain thing going a certain way, and this
- 6:19Speaker 11: is how it was gonna go. Well, that that I
- 6:22Speaker 11: was thinking didn't really fit. Now in my own personal experience,
- 6:27Speaker 11: this may not be yours, but in my own personal experience,
- 6:30Speaker 11: the things that I've had the most trouble letting go
- 6:33Speaker 11: of was something I wanted when I line myself up
- 6:39Speaker 11: with the will of God to ask God what he
- 6:42Speaker 11: wanted from me. You understand, those things came a lot
- 6:47Speaker 11: more easy to me because it was in the will
- 6:51Speaker 11: of God. It was what God wanted me to do too. Okay,
- 6:54Speaker 11: see what you mean by that? Okay, here we go.
- 6:57Speaker 11: When things were going wrong in relationships for me, what
- 7:03Speaker 11: I did was the biggest mistake I've ever made, was
- 7:07Speaker 11: I attempted to fix what was wrong in my relationship
- 7:11Speaker 11: outside of the relationship. You feel me. Okay, So I'm
- 7:16Speaker 11: out there working my groove like I want to. Well, now,
- 7:20Speaker 11: guess what, there's the cause and effect for all of
- 7:23Speaker 11: that too. Your house ain't gonna get better.
- 7:27Speaker 9: It can't.
- 7:29Speaker 11: And then that lays room for some other things. And
- 7:32Speaker 11: so now when the change come, guess what I got
- 7:36Speaker 11: to react to it. Now, I gotta, I gotta, I
- 7:39Speaker 11: gotta have a reaction to it. Had I lined myself
- 7:43Speaker 11: up in the will of God, the transition may have
- 7:47Speaker 11: gone differently. It could have still ended the relationship. But
- 7:52Speaker 11: guess what, some of the pain I was in I
- 7:55Speaker 11: ain't had to go through. I bought a lot on myself.
- 8:00Speaker 11: Sometimes you're pursuing a passion of yours, and what God
- 8:05Speaker 11: really wants you to do is pursue your gift. So
- 8:08Speaker 11: now you're pursuing your passion. Right, you're passion about golf.
- 8:13Speaker 11: You love golf so much. You just determined, But now
- 8:16Speaker 11: you're to messed around. You ain't made it on the
- 8:18Speaker 11: PGA tool yet, and you forty five, still talking about
- 8:21Speaker 11: I'm gonna play on the PGA Tour. Really, okay, maybe
- 8:26Speaker 11: you ain't as good as this you think, or maybe
- 8:27Speaker 11: you're not as gifted as you think. Maybe you're pursuing
- 8:30Speaker 11: a passion. Sometimes, man, we have to change and we
- 8:35Speaker 11: have to ask God what is his will? His will
- 8:39Speaker 11: is much simpler. It's a simpler rule. Not going to
- 8:42Speaker 11: be easier, it's simpler. See when I wake up. Now,
- 8:46Speaker 11: it's simple for me to wake up because I know
- 8:49Speaker 11: that are few things that I have to do. I
- 8:52Speaker 11: have to click this mic on. I have to be positive.
- 8:56Speaker 11: I have to be inspirational. I have to be informative.
- 9:00Speaker 11: I have to be uplifting. Got it, That's what he wants.
- 9:03Speaker 11: All I got to do is sit down, close my eyes,
- 9:06Speaker 11: ask God to help me be who he want me
- 9:09Speaker 11: to be. And for the most part, he tell me
- 9:12Speaker 11: what to say. Now, guess what he's done though, to
- 9:16Speaker 11: create this in me. I went through enough things in
- 9:19Speaker 11: my life. I had enough challenges. I made plenty of mistakes.
- 9:24Speaker 11: So now at my age, I can turn around and
- 9:27Speaker 11: tell somebody listening to me, Okay, this is what I did.
- 9:29Speaker 11: This is a mistake I made. Maybe you see yourself
- 9:31Speaker 11: in this story right here. Maybe you don't have to
- 9:33Speaker 11: go this way, or this is what I've learned about
- 9:35Speaker 11: becoming successful. Here's a principle that I learned. But then
- 9:39Speaker 11: guess what, I had to be unsuccessful to get it though,
- 9:42Speaker 11: didn't I? So you can't have a testimony without a
- 9:45Speaker 11: test Change is coming, It's inevitable. You can participate or
- 9:50Speaker 11: you can react. I much prefer to participate in the change.
- 9:54Speaker 11: All right, let's go.
- 9:56Speaker 7: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 11: Ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:04Speaker 12: You know what.
- 10:05Speaker 9: I'm back again.
- 10:07Speaker 11: All praise to God for that. Thank you Lord for
- 10:09Speaker 11: waking me up this morning, for for my measure of health.
- 10:13Speaker 11: Thank you for another glorious day that only you can create.
- 10:18Speaker 11: Thank you God for all the listeners out there. They
- 10:21Speaker 11: appreciate you too. I thank you on their behalf because
- 10:24Speaker 11: I know they're grateful. I got some good, grateful people
- 10:26Speaker 11: out there.

- 10:34Speaker 11: Yeah, that's why we be it? Yeah. Should have been
- 10:38Speaker 11: a rapper. Don't know what happened, don't know why the
- 10:41Speaker 11: Lord put me on the path, but very easily I
- 10:44Speaker 11: see I could have been a rapper. If Junior could
- 10:46Speaker 11: have been a poet, I could have been a rapper.
- 10:49Speaker 11: See how much since that making all sound delicious? Now, ladies,

- 22:50Speaker 14: tell her that he was with me. She seemed a
- 22:52Speaker 14: little Craig Cray, so I left her man alone. What
- 22:56Speaker 14: kind of wife accepts her husband cheating? Who does that?
- 22:59Speaker 11: The same kind of woman that cheats with a woman's husband. Yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 11: that's all there. What kind of woman except that, say,

- 23:48Speaker 11: happens to a lot of women.
- 23:50Speaker 9: Women blame each.

- 25:39Speaker 11: Money, home.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Lady, all right.
- 25:48Speaker 14: Moving on to Janelle in Miami, Janelle writes, my ex
- 25:52Speaker 14: husband bought me a dog before our divorce. In the
- 25:56Speaker 14: divorce he has for the dogs three beds, the doggie stroller, blankets,
- 26:01Speaker 14: and a designer leash. He didn't ask for the dog,
- 26:05Speaker 14: just his belonging. Now he's suing me for all of
- 26:08Speaker 14: the stuff. Do I stoop to his level and go
- 26:11Speaker 14: to court or return the dog stuff to him?
- 26:14Speaker 11: Wow? Why why you gotta return the dog stuff? He
- 26:19Speaker 11: bought you the dog as a gift. Yeah, so that's

- 27:16Speaker 14: is from Chip in Rochester. Chip writes, my wife and
- 27:20Speaker 14: I run in the morning before work. Running turns her on,
- 27:25Speaker 14: so she tries to have sex as soon as we
- 27:28Speaker 14: walk in the house. Yeah, I've been doing it, but
- 27:31Speaker 14: it feels nasty. I wish we could both shower first,
- 27:35Speaker 14: but she refuses to. Should I learn to deal with it?

- 30:46Speaker 14: office to promote his quote no tax on tips policy.
- 30:50Speaker 14: The delivery driver was identified as a door Dash grandma
- 30:54Speaker 14: from Arkansas. Trump gave DoorDash grandma a one hundred dollars
- 30:57Speaker 14: bill as a tip and invited her to tell reporters
- 31:01Speaker 14: how the tax on tips policy has benefited her family.
- 31:05Speaker 14: Trump's two big McDonald's bags contain cheeseburgers and fries. Was
- 31:09Speaker 14: this really a political stunt? Or did Trump order those
- 31:12Speaker 14: cheeseburgers for lunch?

- 31:47Speaker 11: How many years?

- 32:12Speaker 14: Yes, yeah, yeah.
- 32:16Speaker 11: All right.
- 32:17Speaker 14: We're going to move on to a Detroit federal jury
- 32:20Speaker 14: who awarded a former Michigan inmate. His name is co
- 32:23Speaker 14: Chief Jackson co Chief Jackson Coach exactly. Co Chief was
- 32:30Speaker 14: awarded three hundred and seven million dollars three hundred seven
- 32:34Speaker 14: point six million dollars to be exact for the severe
- 32:38Speaker 14: medical neglect he endured while incarcerated. Mister Jackson's lawsuit accused
- 32:43Speaker 14: the prison medical contractor of denying him a necessary hernia
- 32:47Speaker 14: surgery for over two years, which forced him to live
- 32:50Speaker 14: with a leaking waistebag in jail. Mister Jackson testified in
- 32:54Speaker 14: court about the degrading condition he lived through and told
- 32:58Speaker 14: the court that he was treated like an animal, which
- 33:01Speaker 14: was reportedly a major factor in the jury's decision. Jackson's
- 33:05Speaker 14: verdict highlights significant issues surrounding private medical care within Michigan prisons.
- 33:12Speaker 14: Jackson was serving time for assault with the deadly weapon.
- 33:16Speaker 14: But he's out now. Yeah, three hundred and seven, Yeah, richer.
- 33:25Speaker 11: Wow, he's Some folks rolled up. Would you have a

- 34:31Speaker 11: Okay, here we go, one hundred million cash, non taxable.
- 34:37Speaker 11: You cannot talk for two straight years. I said, you
- 34:47Speaker 11: can't talk. No noise, no verbal communication.
- 34:52Speaker 1: I'm talking about.
- 34:54Speaker 7: Silent side.

- 35:07Speaker 7: Any more questions before we move on, Steve, No.
- 35:10Speaker 11: Go ahead. Are you a million talking for two years?
- 35:15Speaker 11: Not for two years?
- 35:16Speaker 17: No?
- 35:16Speaker 11: I can't do that for two years?
- 35:19Speaker 7: What one year?
- 35:21Speaker 8: Millions?
- 35:21Speaker 7: Like your Yeah that's two years, dog, I can't one year?
- 35:28Speaker 7: One hundred million? Yeah, not talking.

- 35:36Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, yes, be out there just fishing.
- 35:43Speaker 9: All right.

- 35:44Speaker 14: Another company is overpaid an employee and now expects for
- 35:48Speaker 14: the money to be returned. This time it happened to
- 35:51Speaker 14: an Arkansas woman who was facing felony theft charges after
- 35:55Speaker 14: she allegedly kept close to twenty thousand that her employer
- 36:00Speaker 14: accidentally paid her. It's a black female employee, of course.
- 36:04Speaker 14: She was supposed to earn sixteen fifty an hour as
- 36:08Speaker 14: an aid at a senior living facility, but authorities say
- 36:13Speaker 14: a payroll glitch paid her one thousand, six hundred and
- 36:17Speaker 14: fifty dollars an hour for a twelve hour shift. When
- 36:20Speaker 14: the error was identified, her employer asked her to return
- 36:23Speaker 14: the money. The woman, he first, refused to return the
- 36:25Speaker 14: money and told the officers quote, it was her come up. Okay,
- 36:30Speaker 14: it was her come up. She could wind up in
- 36:32Speaker 14: jail though, So here's a question. Would you go to
- 36:35Speaker 14: trial and risk being sent to prison over twenty thousand dollars?
- 36:40Speaker 11: Not twenty now not going. I understand where she's coming from, right,
- 36:44Speaker 11: because if you had sixteen dollars an hour, they're twenty
- 36:47Speaker 11: thousand dollars a game changing.
- 36:48Speaker 14: Yeah, it's her come up, like she said, yeah.
- 36:52Speaker 11: Well what she should have did was just denied knowing
- 36:55Speaker 11: anything about it.
- 36:59Speaker 14: Yes, no, nah uh, all right, guys, thank you coming

- 43:08Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 43:09Speaker 11: He was just trying to entice me. First of all,
- 43:12Speaker 11: free play. The food ain't gonna get it. Let me
- 43:17Speaker 11: try to.
- 43:18Speaker 9: Get something to eat.
- 43:19Speaker 12: I don't.
- 43:19Speaker 11: I don't need you buy me nothing.

- 43:35Speaker 9: Twenty, the end of the eight weeks.
- 43:37Speaker 7: Oh okay, all right.
- 43:38Speaker 11: Oh that's what's sold looking forward to. That's what's wrong.
- 43:41Speaker 3: With that's why on the grouchy side.
- 43:45Speaker 9: Yeah, well there's the other reasons that ain't really it.
- 43:49Speaker 10: But.
- 43:51Speaker 7: Well you care to share, you care to share?
- 43:55Speaker 11: What else?
- 43:56Speaker 13: Day?
- 43:56Speaker 7: Today?
- 43:58Speaker 1: What else?
- 44:00Speaker 11: Jeez? I was like, you're back who fifteenth?
- 44:10Speaker 7: That's why we have Jesus how on?
- 44:15Speaker 9: All right?
- 44:16Speaker 7: This next one is from Ken for you.
- 44:18Speaker 12: Steve.
- 44:19Speaker 14: Ken says, Hey, my man, Steve Harvey. I'm reaching out
- 44:23Speaker 14: because I heard you say something that hit me hard.
- 44:25Speaker 14: You said, the world took everything from you, and you
- 44:28Speaker 14: still found a way back. I'm in that place right now,
- 44:32Speaker 14: and I don't know how to come back this time.
- 44:34Speaker 14: I listen to you often, and your story has pushed
- 44:36Speaker 14: me to keep going more than you know. But right
- 44:39Speaker 14: now I'm asking directly, how did you find the strength
- 44:43Speaker 14: to start over again when you had nothing left. I
- 44:46Speaker 14: don't need fame or anything big. I just want to
- 44:49Speaker 14: get back on my feet, be a good dad.
- 44:51Speaker 3: Wow.
- 44:52Speaker 11: Here is one thing you have to do. You have
- 44:56Speaker 11: to secure, formally initiate a relationship with God. That is
- 45:04Speaker 11: the only way back. That's the way I got back.
- 45:08Speaker 11: See my problem what created me the need to get
- 45:10Speaker 11: back was I had walked away from me. I started
- 45:14Speaker 11: handling that on my own. I started making my own decisions.
- 45:18Speaker 11: I wasn't confiding to him, I wasn't conferring with him,
- 45:21Speaker 11: I wasn't seeking counsel.
- 45:23Speaker 9: I got this, you know.
- 45:24Speaker 11: But God gives us the power of choice, and the
- 45:26Speaker 11: choice I made was to handle it, and he said, okay,
- 45:30Speaker 11: go ahead. Then when I messed it all up and
- 45:34Speaker 11: they took everything from me, I was sitting there in
- 45:38Speaker 11: a position where I had no way. I didn't even
- 45:41Speaker 11: know how to come back. But the thing about God
- 45:45Speaker 11: is the Lord knows how to come back. You can't
- 45:48Speaker 11: fall in the hole too deep. God can't come get you.
- 45:51Speaker 11: Who preach. Brother, I'm telling you you have got to
- 45:55Speaker 11: formulate a relationship with God. That he is, that he
- 46:00Speaker 11: got the answer to everything. He can get to you
- 46:02Speaker 11: when nobody else can get to you. You think I'm
- 46:05Speaker 11: getting to you. He sent me.
- 46:07Speaker 7: Amen to that.
- 46:09Speaker 14: Coming up next, the nephew, We're gonna switch gears and
- 46:12Speaker 14: go to the nephew with today's prank phone call. Right
- 46:15Speaker 14: after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 46:23Speaker 14: coming up at the top of the hour. Guys, it's
- 46:25Speaker 14: my Strawberry letter for today, and the subject is is
- 46:28Speaker 14: it in security or control. We'll get into that find
- 46:32Speaker 14: out what that's all about, and you'll see too when
- 46:37Speaker 14: we do it. But first we got to get to
- 46:39Speaker 14: the phone call from the nephew. I almost say cone
- 46:42Speaker 14: fault prank phone call the nephew. Yeah, what you got
- 46:45Speaker 14: for his nep Bena?
- 46:47Speaker 20: What is the biggest phrase you've ever heard coming from
- 46:49Speaker 20: the bathroom?
- 46:50Speaker 1: I'm in here.
- 46:55Speaker 7: That's one.
- 46:57Speaker 20: Give me a second, big dog, you got one, don't
- 47:02Speaker 20: O'm that dough.
- 47:08Speaker 12: Certain?
- 47:08Speaker 11: I need one? Biggest praise from the bathroom.
- 47:11Speaker 7: Oh my god, I thought the door was locked.
- 47:14Speaker 11: Oh god, all right, I got one for you. Here
- 47:18Speaker 11: it is. Can you bring me some paper?
- 47:21Speaker 12: Oh yeah?
- 47:24Speaker 11: Everybody has done it.
- 47:25Speaker 8: Now.
- 47:25Speaker 20: Now don't sit and act like I ain't nobody on hit
- 47:27Speaker 20: and done it. Ain't done it. Everybody has done. Everybody
- 47:30Speaker 20: has walked in there side down and didn't look a wrap.
- 47:33Speaker 20: Can you bring me some paper? The problem is asking
- 47:36Speaker 20: somebody that you really ain't got that kind of relationship with.
- 47:40Speaker 11: Yeah, so this is right here. Can you bring me? Hey, somebody?
- 47:46Speaker 12: My bag? Unda turned shower curtain.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Down, a shower curtains.

- 55:44Speaker 3: Do you ever notice your floora still look dirty even
- 55:47Speaker 3: after you mop? Power mop gives you a deeper clean
- 55:50Speaker 3: you can see and feel, unlike stream mops sot for
- 55:54Speaker 3: power mop absorbs more dirt and locks it away even
- 55:57Speaker 3: and hard to reach places like behind the The new
- 56:01Speaker 3: micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning actions for
- 56:05Speaker 3: results that look, smell, and feel clean. No more dirty floors.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Try the swear for power Mop, love it or your

- 56:41Speaker 11: We got it for you. Here it is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:44Speaker 7: All right, nephew, thank you. Subject? Is it in security
- 56:47Speaker 7: or control?
- 56:48Speaker 10: Here?
- 56:49Speaker 14: Stephen Shirley, I'm forty four and I've been in a
- 56:52Speaker 14: relationship for four years. Our love life is phenomenal and
- 56:56Speaker 14: the passion is out of this world. Now when I
- 56:59Speaker 14: tell you my my baby has dropped dead gorgeous, I
- 57:02Speaker 14: feel that I am being modest.
- 57:04Speaker 7: She's absolutely stunning.
- 57:06Speaker 14: When we first started dating, I cut out communication with
- 57:09Speaker 14: my exes, and I even distanced myself from my female
- 57:12Speaker 14: classmates and college friends that my girlfriend was uncomfortable with
- 57:17Speaker 14: I did not. I did that to make sure my
- 57:19Speaker 14: girlfriend felt secure in our relationship. But the problem is
- 57:23Speaker 14: all of the unnecessary attention that she gets on social media.
- 57:27Speaker 14: Men are always trying to shoot their shot in her
- 57:30Speaker 14: DMS and in comments. We don't post each other on
- 57:34Speaker 14: social media, so the men don't know she's in a relationship,
- 57:37Speaker 14: and females don't know I'm in a committed relationship. I
- 57:40Speaker 14: delete comments from women that are out of line in
- 57:43Speaker 14: my comment. My girlfriend doesn't. She said, there's nothing she
- 57:46Speaker 14: can do about the reaction she gets. It's the kind
- 57:49Speaker 14: of pictures that she posts. They are inappropriate for a
- 57:53Speaker 14: woman that has a man. I have changed the way
- 57:55Speaker 14: I do things, but she won't. I shower her with
- 57:59Speaker 14: that admiration, and so she should need to get attention
- 58:02Speaker 14: from men online.
- 58:04Speaker 7: I must be.
- 58:05Speaker 14: It must be how she gets her confidence. The final
- 58:08Speaker 14: straw for me is an ongoing dispute we're having about
- 58:11Speaker 14: me going to my class reunion because my longtime ex
- 58:14Speaker 14: girlfriend will be there. My girlfriend said, if I go,
- 58:18Speaker 14: she will have to reevaluate our relationship. This is not
- 58:21Speaker 14: fair at all. She can do whatever she wants with
- 58:23Speaker 14: her male friends and strangers on social media, but I
- 58:26Speaker 14: can't hang out with females from my past. Please make
- 58:29Speaker 14: it make sense. Is it insecurity or control? I'm just
- 58:35Speaker 14: a little confused with this letter because I'm not sure
- 58:39Speaker 14: exactly what you want here. I mean, what are you
- 58:42Speaker 14: trying to do because it sounds like you're the controlling
- 58:44Speaker 14: one or the insecure one. You don't like the attention
- 58:47Speaker 14: she gets on Instagram. Her pictures are inappropriate, you say,
- 58:50Speaker 14: men are always trying to shoot their shot, and she
- 58:53Speaker 14: doesn't delete the comments from the men who are out
- 58:55Speaker 14: of line. You know, these days, everybody's posting their partners.
- 59:00Speaker 14: You know, everybody's posting their personal business. It's the norm.
- 59:05Speaker 14: I mean, so she's posting you post too. You guys
- 59:09Speaker 14: just don't post as a couple, and maybe that's the problem.
- 59:13Speaker 14: What do you guys, I mean, what do you think
- 59:16Speaker 14: they're gonna do. They're gonna like your posts if they
- 59:18Speaker 14: don't know you're together, and even if they do, they're
- 59:20Speaker 14: gonna do it. You're both single. That's what they think
- 59:24Speaker 14: now is she doing too much. I don't know, but
- 59:27Speaker 14: maybe she is. And like you say, she can't do
- 59:31Speaker 14: anything about the reaction she gets. She says that, after all,
- 59:34Speaker 14: didn't you say she was stunning?
- 59:37Speaker 7: Well?
- 59:37Speaker 14: I say you both need to stay off social media
- 59:40Speaker 14: for a while. You need to reevaluate your relationship, like
- 59:44Speaker 14: you said, after four years? Are you taking her to.
- 59:47Speaker 7: Your family reunion?
- 59:49Speaker 14: I don't understand this because you guys don't act like
- 59:52Speaker 14: you're together or something. You know, where are you going
- 59:55Speaker 14: with this? Is there a future in this relationship at all?
- 59:58Speaker 11: Steve surely's right about this. This is a letter of
- 1:00:02Speaker 11: total confusion. For first of all, you forty four?
- 1:00:07Speaker 9: What now?
- 1:00:09Speaker 11: You see?
- 1:00:10Speaker 9: This is what I hate when people.
- 1:00:11Speaker 11: Describe something so wonderful, then all of a sudden they
- 1:00:14Speaker 11: take a turn. I've been in a relationship for four years.
- 1:00:17Speaker 11: It is phenomenal. Oh my god, Oh the passions out
- 1:00:23Speaker 11: of this world.
- 1:00:24Speaker 9: It's just whooa. We can't keep our hands off each other.
- 1:00:27Speaker 11: And when I tell you my baby is drop dead gorgeous,
- 1:00:32Speaker 11: I can't. I can't explain it to you no better
- 1:00:36Speaker 11: I feel, and I feel like I'm being modest here.
- 1:00:39Speaker 11: I ain't even telling it all it's so much to
- 1:00:42Speaker 11: how fine she is. There are no superlatives to fit
- 1:00:47Speaker 11: the gloriousness of this woman. Oh my lord, she's stunning.
- 1:00:54Speaker 11: So when I first started day now, I cut off
- 1:00:57Speaker 11: communication with my exes, herself, from a female classmate's college friends,
- 1:01:03Speaker 11: anybody your girlfriend was uncomfortable with, you just cut them
- 1:01:06Speaker 11: all out. But the problem is all of the unnecessary
- 1:01:10Speaker 11: attention that she gets on social media. Men always trying
- 1:01:15Speaker 11: to shoot they shot in her DMS in their comments.
- 1:01:17Speaker 11: We don't post each other on social media, so men
- 1:01:20Speaker 11: don't know she's in a relationship, and females don't know
- 1:01:22Speaker 11: I'm in a committed relationship. Okay, then there's the problem.
- 1:01:27Speaker 11: Like Shirley said, everybody, thank y'all single, you know, and
- 1:01:31Speaker 11: she likes getting their attention and the comments and all
- 1:01:34Speaker 11: this here that matters to her. It's obvious. But you
- 1:01:38Speaker 11: having a problem with it now? Now you delete the
- 1:01:42Speaker 11: comments that women put in yours that are out of line.
- 1:01:47Speaker 11: But my girlfriend don't, she said, ain't nothing she could
- 1:01:50Speaker 11: do about the reactions she'd get. But it's the kind
- 1:01:54Speaker 11: of pictures she posts. Now, let's see here what we
- 1:01:59Speaker 11: talking about?
- 1:02:00Speaker 10: What?
- 1:02:00Speaker 11: What did you? What is she posted. She looking back
- 1:02:05Speaker 11: over her shoulder at it.
- 1:02:07Speaker 10: You know.
- 1:02:09Speaker 9: It's her mouth open when she looked back at the picture.
- 1:02:14Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, she got her chein up in there with
- 1:02:19Speaker 11: her frank in her mouth. You know that picture is
- 1:02:23Speaker 11: she sitting there just a little bit too wide legga,
- 1:02:29Speaker 11: just sitting there just a little bit too wide ligger.
- 1:02:32Speaker 11: I'm just asking the question, you think these pictures is inappropriate?
- 1:02:37Speaker 11: She getting these comments a man, and you think that
- 1:02:43Speaker 11: she posts pictures that's inappropriate for a woman that has
- 1:02:46Speaker 11: a man. But y'all don't tell nobody. Y'all got each other.
- 1:02:51Speaker 11: It's been four years. What are y'all going with this?
- 1:02:54Speaker 11: Does this relationship have a future?
- 1:02:57Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 1:02:58Speaker 11: Right you'll find out, but we.
- 1:02:59Speaker 14: Can't hang on Steve. We'll have part two of your
- 1:03:02Speaker 14: response coming up. Today's Strawberry letter subject is is it
- 1:03:06Speaker 14: insecurity or control? We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:03:12Speaker 14: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: Do you ever notice your floors still look dirty even
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: after you mop? Power mop gives you a deeper clean
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: you can see and feel. Unlike stream mops sweart for
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: power mop absorbs more dirt and locks it away even
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: and hard to reach places like.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Behind the toilet.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: The new micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny deep cleaning
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: actions for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: more dirty floors. Try the swift for power mop, love
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: it or your money back.
- 1:03:48Speaker 14: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:51Speaker 14: The subject is is it insecurity or control?
- 1:03:54Speaker 11: This is a part of you old man that's dating
- 1:03:56Speaker 11: out of his lead, that has woman that is so fine.
- 1:03:59Speaker 11: He can't believe his luck. He thinks he's lucky, and
- 1:04:03Speaker 11: you should feel that way about your girl. That's not
- 1:04:05Speaker 11: the problem. But she's so stunning and so wonderful. Now,
- 1:04:09Speaker 11: when they started dating, he cut off communication with all females,
- 1:04:13Speaker 11: college classmates, from a friend's excess, everything, anybody she was
- 1:04:18Speaker 11: uncomfortable with, she cut him out.
- 1:04:22Speaker 9: The problem is.
- 1:04:25Speaker 11: They going on social media, but they don't post each
- 1:04:27Speaker 11: other on there, so everybody thinks they single. And you
- 1:04:33Speaker 11: think that she's posting pictures that's inappropriate for a woman
- 1:04:37Speaker 11: that's in a relationship. What she getting all kind of comments,
- 1:04:41Speaker 11: low remarks and me and sliding in her dms and
- 1:04:45Speaker 11: all of that, and you just think it's inappropriate for
- 1:04:48Speaker 11: a woman that's got a man.
- 1:04:50Speaker 9: Now you change the way you do everything.
- 1:04:53Speaker 11: But you think that she needs this attention, and you
- 1:04:56Speaker 11: don't understand because you shower her with affection in admiration,
- 1:05:02Speaker 11: but you think that the comments that she getting online
- 1:05:05Speaker 11: is maybe how she gets her confidence. Now, the final
- 1:05:08Speaker 11: straw is they have an ongoing dispute where they have
- 1:05:12Speaker 11: about him going to his class reunion, and that's because
- 1:05:17Speaker 11: his long time ex girlfriend will be there. Your girlfriend
- 1:05:23Speaker 11: told you, ms Hottie told you that if you go,
- 1:05:27Speaker 11: we gonna have to reevaluate our relationship. That is not
- 1:05:32Speaker 11: fair at all. This is what he said. He forty four.
- 1:05:38Speaker 11: She can do whatever she wants with her male friends
- 1:05:40Speaker 11: and strangers on social media, but I can't hang out
- 1:05:43Speaker 11: with females from my past. Well, you did say you
- 1:05:48Speaker 11: cut them all loose, you stop communicating with him, You
- 1:05:52Speaker 11: did say that. But you want this one exception so
- 1:05:56Speaker 11: you can go on back to the class reunion.
- 1:06:00Speaker 9: How about this right here?
- 1:06:01Speaker 11: Why don't you take her to the class reunion with you? See,
- 1:06:06Speaker 11: don't nobody want to take their mate to the class
- 1:06:08Speaker 11: reunion because then especially dudes, cause then you don't get
- 1:06:11Speaker 11: to lie like you want to cause she's standing right there.
- 1:06:16Speaker 9: Yeah, all got two businesses.
- 1:06:18Speaker 8: Now, yeah.
- 1:06:20Speaker 11: You work down at the hardware store. Hell see you don't.
- 1:06:24Speaker 11: You don't need that, So I don't know what you
- 1:06:27Speaker 11: should do. Well, y'all do No, I can't say that.
- 1:06:31Speaker 11: Here's the other problem. She then said, if you do
- 1:06:36Speaker 11: go down there, you're gonna have to reevaluate y'all's relationship.
- 1:06:39Speaker 9: I think you need to reevaluate it anyway.
- 1:06:42Speaker 11: Because if you cut make all these cutback, and she
- 1:06:45Speaker 11: ain't making none. Have you ever bought that to her attention?
- 1:06:50Speaker 11: But if you don't go, what's that saying? And the
- 1:06:54Speaker 11: real reason you want to go is why? See, y'all
- 1:06:57Speaker 11: gotta have some honest conversation with yourself. You really want
- 1:06:59Speaker 11: to go to this ten year reunion? Why so they
- 1:07:02Speaker 11: can see you and you can see them. She said,
- 1:07:08Speaker 11: if you go down there, we're gonna have to reevaluate
- 1:07:10Speaker 11: things because your long time ex girlfriend is gonna be there. Now,
- 1:07:14Speaker 11: you say this ain't fair because she could do whatever
- 1:07:16Speaker 11: she wants with her male friends and strangers on Okay,
- 1:07:19Speaker 11: so she kept all her male friends, you gave up
- 1:07:22Speaker 11: all yours, but she kept her and strangers on social media.
- 1:07:28Speaker 11: But I can't hang out with females from my plas.
- 1:07:31Speaker 11: Please make it make sense. Is it insecurity or control? Well,
- 1:07:36Speaker 11: it's definitely controlled. She ain't insecure about how she looks.
- 1:07:41Speaker 11: She flowers and she all over the ground. Okay, so
- 1:07:48Speaker 11: hey man, listen, y'all really too.
- 1:07:52Speaker 8: Old for this.
- 1:07:55Speaker 11: I'm gonna just be honest with your funnies. I don't
- 1:07:58Speaker 11: know why y'all dealing with this one here in this
- 1:08:01Speaker 11: world we are in now, we are in the world
- 1:08:03Speaker 11: of look at me, see me, feel me? Won't me
- 1:08:07Speaker 11: beating me? That's the world we in. And she enjoys
- 1:08:13Speaker 11: getting all these comments, she reading them. That's why she
- 1:08:18Speaker 11: don't delete them, because she want other men to see
- 1:08:21Speaker 11: what other men is saying about her, so that you
- 1:08:24Speaker 11: can be in competition. She don't mind the DMS. She
- 1:08:28Speaker 11: like all that. It's for her ego. Man, now she
- 1:08:32Speaker 11: needs her ego faed that way outside of you. Then
- 1:08:35Speaker 11: you're gonna have a problem with her no matter where
- 1:08:38Speaker 11: this relationship going. Now, it's been four years. How y'all
- 1:08:44Speaker 11: doing now? Where y'all work at? What y'all got y'all
- 1:08:46Speaker 11: y'all got a plan or y'all putting money together? For
- 1:08:49Speaker 11: some reason, or you're discussing families, kids anything. You forty four, brother.
- 1:08:55Speaker 9: You you've been.
- 1:08:57Speaker 11: With this woman forty and the love is phenomena alone.
- 1:09:01Speaker 11: At forty four, four years of this, you ought to
- 1:09:03Speaker 11: be ready to lock it in. But I ain't heard
- 1:09:06Speaker 11: nothing about that. You ain't even said you're in love
- 1:09:11Speaker 11: with her. But if you go to that class reunion,
- 1:09:17Speaker 11: we're gonna have to reevaluate our relationship. Unless you all
- 1:09:20Speaker 11: have something y'all working towards. Why don't you just let
- 1:09:23Speaker 11: it go? You going down there to the family reunion,
- 1:09:26Speaker 11: then y'all reevaluated? Wow, or take her with you? That'd
- 1:09:33Speaker 11: be the coldest flex pull up with the big five
- 1:09:35Speaker 11: thing on your own, you know what I'm saying. Other
- 1:09:43Speaker 11: than that, that's really it for this letter right here.
- 1:09:45Speaker 7: Yeah, what are you doing? You're right?
- 1:09:49Speaker 9: Just where is it going?
- 1:09:51Speaker 7: Let her re evaluate going down the man all right
- 1:09:55Speaker 7: after four years?
- 1:09:55Speaker 14: Especially, thank you Steve lead your comments on Today's Strawberry

- 1:10:08Speaker 7: Coming up next, it is Junior and sports talk.
- 1:10:11Speaker 14: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: Do you ever notice your floors still look dirty even
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: after you mop? Power Mop gives you a deeper clean
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: you can see and feel. Unlike stream mops, Swart for

- 1:12:37Speaker 11: Well, well, it's gonna be a tough one, man, because
- 1:12:39Speaker 11: Lakers is playing.

- 1:13:03Speaker 20: Yeah, you got you got, you got some support, you got,

- 1:13:33Speaker 11: Yeah, I'm excited. I am.
- 1:13:37Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:13:38Speaker 14: Back in the day, this would have been so exciting.
- 1:13:40Speaker 14: All right, horse cast he not right?
- 1:13:43Speaker 7: Were doing that?
- 1:13:44Speaker 14: We're not doing that.
- 1:13:51Speaker 7: Thank you, Junior, Thank you.
- 1:13:54Speaker 14: Coming up at the top of the hour, wife can't
- 1:13:57Speaker 14: figure out why her husband has checked out him marriage.
- 1:14:00Speaker 7: We'll get into that, find out what's going on.
- 1:14:02Speaker 14: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:10Speaker 7: This is from Leanna in Baltimore.
- 1:14:12Speaker 14: Leanna says, I have been married for eight years and
- 1:14:15Speaker 14: I love my husband, but he appears to be checked
- 1:14:18Speaker 14: out of our marriage. We don't have any children, so
- 1:14:21Speaker 14: it's just us all the time, and he doesn't talk
- 1:14:24Speaker 14: to me unless he needs to. We have sex once
- 1:14:26Speaker 14: a week, and it's not passionate like it used to be.
- 1:14:29Speaker 14: He doesn't go out, he's not over on his phone,
- 1:14:32Speaker 14: he's not ever on his phone, and he never uses
- 1:14:34Speaker 14: his Facebook account. If he's having an affair, it must
- 1:14:38Speaker 14: be at his desk in his office at work because
- 1:14:41Speaker 14: all of his time is accounted for. When I ask
- 1:14:44Speaker 14: him if anything is wrong, he says no, and he
- 1:14:46Speaker 14: tells me that I'm perfect. Why won't he tell me
- 1:14:50Speaker 14: what change with him?
- 1:14:51Speaker 11: Which y'all should have been talked about this, because lady,
- 1:14:56Speaker 11: you don't know this.
- 1:14:57Speaker 9: You know you probably haven't paid attention, but you've changed too.
- 1:15:01Speaker 11: And what happens is when you're not in constant communication
- 1:15:05Speaker 11: like y'all, married people have to sit down at least
- 1:15:08Speaker 11: minimum every six months to have the real heart to
- 1:15:12Speaker 11: heart about what's going on? What do you want? What
- 1:15:14Speaker 11: do you like now? What if you stop doing? What
- 1:15:17Speaker 11: if I stop doing? What do I want now? Who
- 1:15:19Speaker 11: am I now? Because everybody changes, You're not the same
- 1:15:22Speaker 11: people you are when you get married. So with the
- 1:15:25Speaker 11: person that you change into, the two people that y'all
- 1:15:27Speaker 11: turn into, y'all might not even like each other no more.
- 1:15:33Speaker 11: Next thing, you know, you're sitting up over there and
- 1:15:35Speaker 11: the person you married who is different and you different,
- 1:15:39Speaker 11: and them two people now they don't even like each.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: Other the other.
- 1:15:43Speaker 9: Junior, close your mouth. Don't close your mouth.
- 1:15:47Speaker 7: Why are you saying that now?
- 1:15:48Speaker 11: Because I've seen you? He over there breathing that end.
- 1:15:50Speaker 11: He got a question about that. But you know how
- 1:15:54Speaker 11: long you married now, Junior? Are four years?
- 1:15:58Speaker 9: Yeah? See, y'all to a different too.
- 1:16:01Speaker 14: Congratulations Junior, first of all, But are you trying to
- 1:16:05Speaker 14: make this about Junior?
- 1:16:07Speaker 11: I'm just saying I could tell by the look on
- 1:16:09Speaker 11: his face, the eyes squint, then he starts showing his
- 1:16:11Speaker 11: mouth open.
- 1:16:12Speaker 12: People, you're gonna change me different people, now, that's what.
- 1:16:14Speaker 11: Yeah, you and your wife are different than you were
- 1:16:17Speaker 11: four years ago.
- 1:16:18Speaker 7: Yeah, absolutely grown, haven't you, Junior? You feel like you've grown, right?
- 1:16:23Speaker 12: I think?
- 1:16:23Speaker 16: So?
- 1:16:24Speaker 9: Have you grown or grown apart?
- 1:16:26Speaker 10: Oh?
- 1:16:27Speaker 11: Great, that's a question. It's just it happens.
- 1:16:33Speaker 13: I've never heard of people say that. That's why I
- 1:16:35Speaker 13: was shocked. I've never heard of put like that.
- 1:16:38Speaker 11: Yeah, well, I mean that's what it is, though, mm hmm.
- 1:16:41Speaker 12: Move on.
- 1:16:43Speaker 9: You all have turned into two different people, and you
- 1:16:45Speaker 9: might not like each other.
- 1:16:46Speaker 7: Yeah, she's just thinking it's him.
- 1:16:48Speaker 9: Though, No, it's her too. It's her too. You've changed, lady,
- 1:16:53Speaker 9: is it?
- 1:16:53Speaker 11: Don't? Don't just think it's the man.
- 1:16:56Speaker 7: Everybody changes, no passion, none of that.
- 1:17:01Speaker 11: And everybody's appearance has changed. Okay, you tell.
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: Him shorty, right baby, that's my husband, right baby?
- 1:17:26Speaker 14: Yeah, because it sounds like you just kind of you're
- 1:17:28Speaker 14: just blaming her, but okay, no, we're both them. Yeah, okay,
- 1:17:32Speaker 14: well she's just asking about him, all right, moving on to.
- 1:17:36Speaker 11: Uh about herself?
- 1:17:40Speaker 7: We have time for another way?
- 1:17:41Speaker 14: Why this is from This is from TIF and Augusta.
- 1:17:45Speaker 14: Tip says, I had a man on the side and
- 1:17:47Speaker 14: he's friends with my brother, and my brother knew about it,
- 1:17:50Speaker 14: and it was cool until my brother got mad at
- 1:17:52Speaker 14: me over some money. I borrowed the money from him,
- 1:17:55Speaker 14: and I can't pay him back right now. My brother said,
- 1:17:58Speaker 14: if I was cheating, I should have had least been
- 1:18:01Speaker 14: getting money from the other man. He's threatening to tell
- 1:18:04Speaker 14: my husband on me if I don't give him at
- 1:18:06Speaker 14: least half of his five thousand dollars back. Why would
- 1:18:08Speaker 14: my own brother put pressure on me like this?
- 1:18:11Speaker 9: Because you need that five Yeah, get some.
- 1:18:15Speaker 11: Of that money. Back. I get your brother that money back,
- 1:18:18Speaker 11: because that conversation he can have you Really, how many
- 1:18:23Speaker 11: fives you got out there though? How many fives? I get?
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: What is wrong with you today?
- 1:18:32Speaker 11: If I had all the money that I have given
- 1:18:36Speaker 11: to people, if I had it all back, all of it?
- 1:18:40Speaker 14: Okay, Well, I'll be straight a one hundred million. That's
- 1:18:45Speaker 14: your number coming up in twenty minutes after we'll have
- 1:18:48Speaker 14: more of this very very generous show. Right after this,
- 1:18:52Speaker 14: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. We talk
- 1:18:59Speaker 14: about a lot on this show. We talk about BUCkies
- 1:19:02Speaker 14: on this show. BUCkies is catching backlash from some of
- 1:19:05Speaker 14: its customers due to a recent change in their gift
- 1:19:08Speaker 14: card policy. The new policy states that you cannot use
- 1:19:12Speaker 14: a BUCkies gift card to buy gas at the pump
- 1:19:15Speaker 14: or inside BUCkies at a register. This news came as
- 1:19:19Speaker 14: a shot. Yeah, that's the crazy part, right. This news
- 1:19:25Speaker 14: came as a shot to one faithful BUCkies customer in Florida,
- 1:19:28Speaker 14: and his reaction was caught on video. Then now the
- 1:19:31Speaker 14: video has gone viral. The irate man ripped off his
- 1:19:34Speaker 14: BUCkies bumper stickers and tossed his BUCkies with beavers stuffed
- 1:19:39Speaker 14: toy into the street. Okay, he had a stuffed toy Bucky.
- 1:19:43Speaker 14: He threw that into the street. He had apparently driven
- 1:19:46Speaker 14: thirty miles to that Bucky's gas station to get gas,
- 1:19:49Speaker 14: and all he had was a gift card to pay
- 1:19:52Speaker 14: for the gas. In the video, he yelled, got four
- 1:19:56Speaker 14: dollars in my account and ten miles in my tank
- 1:19:59Speaker 14: and literally came and even get back home without getting
- 1:20:02Speaker 14: gas money from my parents. So you can buy everything
- 1:20:05Speaker 14: else but gas, you know, for gas. You're buying gas.
- 1:20:09Speaker 14: You can't do gas with it. And that's all he
- 1:20:11Speaker 14: wanted was gas.
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: You could get other stuff. You can get other.
- 1:20:14Speaker 14: Stuff, yeah, you guys, Yeah, you can get the gas
- 1:20:20Speaker 14: at the register. Oh you can't just for gas, right,
- 1:20:23Speaker 14: it's just for gas and we know how. Yeah, well
- 1:20:28Speaker 14: they just changed it to that.
- 1:20:32Speaker 9: Changing you like that?
- 1:20:34Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 1:20:34Speaker 9: Until his book stick off?

- 1:26:11Speaker 11: and all like that, that's a great marriage. If you

- 1:26:25Speaker 11: Voles. Man, that's a great marriage if you can still
- 1:26:28Speaker 11: hold it together. Man, after so many things have tried
- 1:26:32Speaker 11: to tell you apart, that's a great marriage. What what
- 1:26:36Speaker 11: what what do you what? What part of marriage is
- 1:26:39Speaker 11: hardest for you? I think it's a communication part.
- 1:26:43Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:26:44Speaker 9: Yeah, it's very very poor at that.
- 1:26:48Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, help him, Yeah, Junior, Well, let'st we just
- 1:26:54Speaker 11: have an honest conversation. Okay, let me put it this way.
- 1:26:58Speaker 11: You did need to work on your community patient skills,
- 1:27:01Speaker 11: as do all of us. Most men are not really
- 1:27:05Speaker 11: great communicators to begin with. Yeah, because we don't really
- 1:27:09Speaker 11: know how to show our feelings and all of that. So,
- 1:27:15Speaker 11: you know, I think it's it's a thing that that
- 1:27:18Speaker 11: that hinders most of us as men. And then marriage
- 1:27:25Speaker 11: can present some brand new challenges for us all and
- 1:27:30Speaker 11: if we don't communicate, these challenges can be daunting, right.
- 1:27:35Speaker 11: I had some challenges in my previous marriage. I just
- 1:27:38Speaker 11: couldn't get over, man, I just couldn't. I didn't have
- 1:27:41Speaker 11: the skill set, you know. And I think if I
- 1:27:48Speaker 11: were a person like you, you in a new marriage,
- 1:27:51Speaker 11: relatively new, newest of any on this show, before I spoke,
- 1:27:55Speaker 11: I would take a moment to kind of say what
- 1:27:59Speaker 11: I'm gonna say to her till myself several times, maybe
- 1:28:03Speaker 11: even jotted on a piece of paper, read it out
- 1:28:05Speaker 11: loud before you say it, because a lot of times, man,
- 1:28:11Speaker 11: when you say stuff, it just comes across you.
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: Bet not.
- 1:28:15Speaker 11: You know, you gotta you gotta, you gotta look at
- 1:28:17Speaker 11: stuff like that, You gotta kind of reconsider. Have you
- 1:28:20Speaker 11: thought about trying it like that? Junior?
- 1:28:22Speaker 9: Have you thought about pausing before you say anything?
- 1:28:25Speaker 11: Because usually what hurts the marriage is you say stuff
- 1:28:28Speaker 11: in a in a moment of heat, in the heated moment,
- 1:28:32Speaker 11: and you say something you end up regretting.
- 1:28:36Speaker 12: I under I hear you.
- 1:28:38Speaker 9: Now you hear it.
- 1:28:39Speaker 7: I ask you your question.
- 1:28:41Speaker 13: I know I'm not gonna answer that because I ain't
- 1:28:44Speaker 13: jotting it down and you know what I say it yep.
- 1:28:48Speaker 11: Well, I don't know everything you say. Of course I'm
- 1:28:51Speaker 11: not in your house, but I'm just saying, do you
- 1:28:54Speaker 11: think it would be a good idea to pause, kind
- 1:28:58Speaker 11: of run it by yourself off before you letter.
- 1:29:04Speaker 14: Junior?
- 1:29:04Speaker 13: You're running it by him though you know I'm a
- 1:29:07Speaker 13: stand up comedian.
- 1:29:08Speaker 12: I pretty much say a lot of things and uh,
- 1:29:12Speaker 12: you know.
- 1:29:13Speaker 11: Oh you think that's gonna help your marriage out. You
- 1:29:15Speaker 11: think you're being No.
- 1:29:16Speaker 13: No, it didn't, but I said it, so I didn't
- 1:29:21Speaker 13: think about it when I said it.
- 1:29:22Speaker 12: I just said it.
- 1:29:23Speaker 8: You know.
- 1:29:23Speaker 11: Well, after you said how funny was it?
- 1:29:27Speaker 13: Well, that was a that was a dead audience that moment.
- 1:29:31Speaker 13: There wasn't really a lot of laughter in the room
- 1:29:32Speaker 13: at that point.
- 1:29:33Speaker 9: Did you hear the boy?
- 1:29:38Speaker 13: Yeah, they walked out.
- 1:29:40Speaker 11: I know that they didn't work. Since you want to
- 1:29:43Speaker 11: use being a comedian as an analogy, if you're a comedian,
- 1:29:48Speaker 11: a quiet room right after you finished talking, it's not
- 1:29:54Speaker 11: a good room to be in for a comedian because see,
- 1:29:58Speaker 11: if you finished talking as a comedian, that's usually you've
- 1:30:03Speaker 11: delivered the punchline. And when there's silence right after that,
- 1:30:09Speaker 11: and that that that that is a good day at
- 1:30:11Speaker 11: the job.
- 1:30:12Speaker 12: Have you had some of them days at home? Dot?
- 1:30:14Speaker 12: Have you had some days like that?
- 1:30:16Speaker 11: Have I had some days like that? Now you think
- 1:30:19Speaker 11: I know what I'm talking about. I done told the
- 1:30:23Speaker 11: punchline and nothing.
- 1:30:29Speaker 13: I'm talking I'm talking about at home? And you said
- 1:30:33Speaker 13: some things at home and it got quiet and there.
- 1:30:35Speaker 9: You ain't.
- 1:30:36Speaker 11: You ain't hear what I just said. Hey man, let
- 1:30:40Speaker 11: me let me stop this right here, because I'm finna
- 1:30:42Speaker 11: get mad. No no, no, no, no. Let's I'm supposed
- 1:30:46Speaker 11: to be helping him, but he don't want to help
- 1:30:48Speaker 11: because he see, Junior, real problem is you don't listen. Yeah,
- 1:30:52Speaker 11: you don't listen, sir. I'm just I'm let's take it
- 1:30:56Speaker 11: a whole nother way communication. You'll probably your biggest problem
- 1:31:00Speaker 11: with communication is you don't listen. You ain't heard nothing
- 1:31:05Speaker 11: I said. And you know, man, when I try to
- 1:31:08Speaker 11: help you, Junior, we do the same thing. How many
- 1:31:11Speaker 11: times have I stopped you in the middle of talking
- 1:31:13Speaker 11: and say, hey, man, did you hear what I said?
- 1:31:16Speaker 11: Are you listening?
- 1:31:19Speaker 12: Yes, sir, Yes, sir, I'm listening.
- 1:31:23Speaker 11: It's sir.
- 1:31:24Speaker 12: You been in my life fifteen years. Look how much
- 1:31:26Speaker 12: I've grown.
- 1:31:27Speaker 11: Yes, I've listened.
- 1:31:29Speaker 7: I'm listening.
- 1:31:30Speaker 12: That's fair.
- 1:31:30Speaker 11: Well, I'm trying to get her to be in your
- 1:31:32Speaker 11: life fifteen years. I'm trying to help you with that
- 1:31:34Speaker 11: part right now, right now, I'm telling you, right now,
- 1:31:38Speaker 11: three max if you cheap.
- 1:31:40Speaker 12: It at this page.
- 1:31:41Speaker 9: He got three max if he stayed like this right here.
- 1:31:44Speaker 9: You ain't gonna make it.
