- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me NW what it only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. Okay, here we go today, folks. Uh this
- 2:14Speaker 1: is a good one because today I want to share
- 2:18Speaker 1: with you something that that affects every living soul, and
- 2:25Speaker 1: that one thing is your attitude. This affects everyone. It
- 2:31Speaker 1: is your attitude. You know. I don't know if anyone's
- 2:37Speaker 1: ever told you, but I mean many of you who
- 2:40Speaker 1: listen know this. But there are a lot of people
- 2:43Speaker 1: who don't understand a positive attitude can bring about a change.
- 2:51Speaker 1: A positive attitude can bring about a change. Well, now
- 2:55Speaker 1: here we go with the nay says well, Steve, what
- 2:57Speaker 1: you mean if I'm just positive being changed? My I'm
- 3:00Speaker 1: a gonna what me being positive got to do with that? Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 1: Now listen to me carefully. A positive attitude can bring
- 3:08Speaker 1: about change. Well, okay, Steve, I hear you saying that,
- 3:11Speaker 1: But they didn't fined me. So now what does my
- 3:14Speaker 1: having a positive attitude have to do with the fact
- 3:17Speaker 1: that they fired me? Well, one more time. A positive
- 3:23Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change? Or Steve, I set up
- 3:29Speaker 1: in here and gave eight nine, twelve years of my
- 3:33Speaker 1: life to this man and he just he cheated on
- 3:36Speaker 1: me and walked out. Now what does me being positive
- 3:39Speaker 1: have to do with him cheating on me? How that's
- 3:42Speaker 1: gonna change that? Okay, here we go again. A positive
- 3:46Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. And listen to the whole thing. Now,
- 3:52Speaker 1: the positive attitude and the change that can happen starts it.
- 3:59Speaker 1: This is just start. It starts within you. See, life
- 4:06Speaker 1: is tempera cent. What happens is what you do about
- 4:09Speaker 1: what happens. Okay, you gave twelve years of your life
- 4:12Speaker 1: to this man. He cheated and left you. Hold in
- 4:15Speaker 1: the bag, the kids and everything. Now, what does being
- 4:18Speaker 1: positive have to do with changing that or they came
- 4:21Speaker 1: in and they fired you. You lost your job that
- 4:24Speaker 1: you was a stellar performer at. But now, how does
- 4:27Speaker 1: you having a positive attitude, how does that change things
- 4:31Speaker 1: for you? So far, you can use any example. Here's
- 4:36Speaker 1: what happens when you have a positive attitude. What it
- 4:40Speaker 1: produces within you is a positive approach to life. And
- 4:45Speaker 1: when you have a positive attitude and a positive approach
- 4:49Speaker 1: to life, it causes you to be optimistic, to have
- 4:54Speaker 1: a positive out look, to expect things to even actually
- 5:00Speaker 1: turn around, and and and and and turn into a
- 5:02Speaker 1: positive That's very important because as the law of attraction
- 5:06Speaker 1: comes into play, if you think positive thoughts, you attract
- 5:12Speaker 1: positive things. If you think evil thoughts, you attract evil
- 5:17Speaker 1: to you. You know, if if you want for nothing,
- 5:22Speaker 1: then nothing comes your way. If you want for positive attitude,
- 5:26Speaker 1: if you want for positive results, if you want for
- 5:28Speaker 1: a great outcome, that's what you attract to you. The
- 5:31Speaker 1: change will begin within you. So let's take the man
- 5:35Speaker 1: that walked out your life and left you hold in
- 5:37Speaker 1: the bag. Here's a positive attitude. Okay, two things have
- 5:43Speaker 1: happened as positive here. Number one, you've rid it yourself
- 5:46Speaker 1: of someone who was obviously going to be, if not
- 5:50Speaker 1: already been toxic in your life because you many restless nights,
- 5:55Speaker 1: a lot of uncomfortable feelings, an uneasiness, not sure insecurity.
- 6:01Speaker 1: You've been going through it with this person, whoever they are.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Number One, that person has been released from your life.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Number Two, it allows you now to have the someone
- 6:12Speaker 1: who will treat you just the way you want to
- 6:14Speaker 1: be treated. That's the positive outlook, that's the optimistic way.
- 6:19Speaker 1: That's when you're a positive person. You see the positive
- 6:22Speaker 1: in things that happened to you instead of burying yourself
- 6:25Speaker 1: under the horse, wrong with it, old woe is me? Now,
- 6:29Speaker 1: concept see a positive attitude. When they came in there
- 6:33Speaker 1: and they fired you and let you go. Could this
- 6:36Speaker 1: not have been just the opening you needed to finally
- 6:40Speaker 1: start on a new career path that you've been talking
- 6:43Speaker 1: about doing anyway? Could it possibly be a brand new
- 6:47Speaker 1: chance for you to get the dream job or dream
- 6:51Speaker 1: career of your choice. Could it not possibly be the
- 6:55Speaker 1: perfect opportunity now for you to finally finally do something
- 7:01Speaker 1: about that gift, about that talent that God gave you,
- 7:04Speaker 1: that thing that you love to do. Could it not
- 7:06Speaker 1: be the perfect time for you to pursue that. But
- 7:09Speaker 1: if you don't have a positive attitude, then you lay there.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Oh they're finna come get in my house. Oh what
- 7:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna do now? All this unemployment ain't enough. Oh Lord,
- 7:20Speaker 1: when it's unemployment run out? What am I gonna do?
- 7:23Speaker 1: Then I won't have nothing? And you old woe is
- 7:26Speaker 1: me until you become old woe is me. But if
- 7:30Speaker 1: you take it from the positive approach, some amazing things
- 7:34Speaker 1: can happen in your life. I will tell you on
- 7:36Speaker 1: a personal note, that's some of the most some of
- 7:40Speaker 1: the best changes, some of the biggest moments in my
- 7:43Speaker 1: life came after a loss. Some of the best things
- 7:47Speaker 1: that's ever happened to me, Some of the biggest moments
- 7:49Speaker 1: that I've accomplished in my entire career came after a loss.
- 7:55Speaker 1: So I don't want to go down on the list,
- 7:56Speaker 1: But boy, I could tell you. Let me let me
- 7:58Speaker 1: tell you something. When they didn't want me on the
- 8:00Speaker 1: radio anymore in l A. What they didn't when they
- 8:03Speaker 1: were it was sick of the way I did radio
- 8:05Speaker 1: out there, and they wanted me gone. And on May
- 8:10Speaker 1: thousand and five, when my did when? When? When? When
- 8:15Speaker 1: my deal was done? With the beat out in l A. Okay,
- 8:22Speaker 1: look what happened though, ye'all was gone in May. But
- 8:25Speaker 1: in September nineteenth I started to Steve Harvey Radio Network
- 8:29Speaker 1: with four cities. I'm now sixty some cities, you see,
- 8:35Speaker 1: But I didn't go old. Woe was me? I said, Okay,
- 8:39Speaker 1: God must have something else from me then, because if
- 8:42Speaker 1: he didn't remove me from this, that must be something else.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Same thing that happened when you lose and you and
- 8:48Speaker 1: you and you break up in a relationship, same thing
- 8:50Speaker 1: can happen to you. You never know the one God
- 8:53Speaker 1: God for you. Now Here you go, here you go again.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Now you get put into a situation with somebody treat
- 8:58Speaker 1: you just the way you want to be treated, provide
- 9:01Speaker 1: you with a whole lot of aspects of your life.
- 9:03Speaker 1: You knew nothing about pride to that. But you gotta
- 9:05Speaker 1: stay positive. You gotta keep looking out, You gotta keep
- 9:09Speaker 1: looking to God. You gotta keep believing that there's got
- 9:11Speaker 1: to be something better for you. That God has a
- 9:14Speaker 1: plan and it don't coincide with your plan oftentimes, but
- 9:18Speaker 1: His way is the best way. Oh. I have not
- 9:21Speaker 1: liked it many times, man, oh man, I've had people
- 9:25Speaker 1: scathed me. I'm talking about man, people. I ain't done
- 9:28Speaker 1: nothing too. I don't even know where it's coming from.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Just go public and just try to bury me. When
- 9:34Speaker 1: they got through. Man, I can't tell you what happened
- 9:37Speaker 1: to me because I ain't raised my voice back. I didn't.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I didn't get into that negative lane with them. I
- 9:43Speaker 1: took the high road. And when you take the high road,
- 9:45Speaker 1: God got something for you. So all of you out
- 9:47Speaker 1: there are struggling, that's being hated on, that you feel
- 9:50Speaker 1: like your life and took some turns that you have
- 9:52Speaker 1: no control over. If you stay positive, that positive attitude,
- 9:57Speaker 1: that optimistic outlook, that that that always thinking, God got me,
- 10:02Speaker 1: no matter what happened to me, some amazing things that's
- 10:05Speaker 1: going can will happen in your life. It's a fact.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I don't know how it works that way. I just
- 10:11Speaker 1: know that's what it is. Positive attitude is everything, y'all.
- 10:15Speaker 1: So get off the old woe is mean negativity train
- 10:18Speaker 1: because it ain't gonna take you nowhere but down and
- 10:20Speaker 1: get get your outlook up. If you change your attitude,
- 10:23Speaker 1: you change your altitude. Altitude is determined by your attitude.
- 10:29Speaker 1: How high you go, how big you become, how far
- 10:32Speaker 1: you go. It all depends on how you think. It
- 10:35Speaker 1: all depends on what type of attitude you got. Ain't no,
- 10:39Speaker 1: ain't no, very very successful, super negative people. It just
- 10:44Speaker 1: doesn't coincide the way if you see that something that
- 10:47Speaker 1: happened to him along the way, and don't worry. You
- 10:49Speaker 1: ain't gonna worry about it because you ain't gonna see
- 10:50Speaker 1: them long because you can't stay up there like that.
- 10:53Speaker 1: It's just too hard, all right. That's the conversation. You're
- 10:57Speaker 1: listening to, ladies and gentlemen, people, boys, girls, children, men, women, adults, adolescents, Uh, idiots,
- 11:12Speaker 1: well intended geniuses, uh, mental cases, everybody. I think that
- 11:20Speaker 1: covers the Morning Show. I think everybody and everybody everybody.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I don't know who the genius is. We're all geniuses.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Uh no, you know there's something wrong with you. Ladies
- 11:36Speaker 1: and gentlemen. We are here. This is the Steve Arban
- 11:39Speaker 1: Morning Show. Good morning, Shoot, Hey, good morning, Steve. How
- 11:41Speaker 1: you doing? Good stup? Call? What's up? Steve? Good morning?
- 11:46Speaker 1: Junior morning? Uh Janathany Brown, do not to dressed me
- 11:50Speaker 1: as Jentathony Brown? And wait wait what what what does
- 11:57Speaker 1: he can you what is going on. Let's go to
- 12:00Speaker 1: Steve Harvey dot com. I'm gonna had a whole video
- 12:05Speaker 1: or the fat pan for coming to work and everything.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yees dot com bad Black. Don't be disrespectful. Do not
- 12:19Speaker 1: be disrespectful to the hero. Oh I just got his
- 12:23Speaker 1: bio from the from the country of Baiawanda. Would you
- 12:26Speaker 1: read read my power? What's the country? What's the pie? Wanda? Pi? Pie?
- 12:32Speaker 1: Wonder where's that in relation to Ganda? But it's Paiwanda? Okay?
- 12:40Speaker 1: Could you read? Oh? Okay? If Steve you cool? If
- 12:45Speaker 1: oh please read it all right? Uh, the fat Panthers
- 12:50Speaker 1: would be Yeah. The Fat Panther's real name is Sammy Sumter.
- 12:55Speaker 1: At the age of twenty one, while living in the
- 12:57Speaker 1: town of pai Wan, he defeated three other fat men
- 13:02Speaker 1: during during the town's annual pie eating contests. They have
- 13:09Speaker 1: every area they have it. Yeah, you divide how you
- 13:13Speaker 1: divide than someone else where you divide the only divide
- 13:16Speaker 1: this new one. And you defeated three other men. So
- 13:24Speaker 1: after eating nine nine pies, Fat Panther bit into the
- 13:30Speaker 1: hundredth pie, the one hund pie. There was something different
- 13:36Speaker 1: about this pie. It was laced with a food potion
- 13:41Speaker 1: that gave Sammy, also known as the Fat Panther, special
- 13:45Speaker 1: powers of defending all food in justice. If if someone
- 13:51Speaker 1: takes this sandwich called it fat pantha, you don't have
- 13:54Speaker 1: food eat fat pantha. Okay, that's a good thing. The
- 13:59Speaker 1: fat Panther pie as are filled with a special flavor
- 14:01Speaker 1: that makes people do the right thing. After he hits
- 14:04Speaker 1: them in the face with a pie, when there's a
- 14:10Speaker 1: food injustice, his food senses activate. He confronts the person
- 14:17Speaker 1: committing the injustice with a pie in the face. No
- 14:21Speaker 1: meal is too small, keeping his pie on the crime.
- 14:27Speaker 1: At that time, ladies and gentlemen, the fat Panthern, I
- 14:35Speaker 1: cannot be you're listening to the show. All right, it
- 14:49Speaker 1: is time for something funny. As we mentioned earlier, the
- 14:51Speaker 1: fat Panther is here. Fat panther. That's fat, and there's
- 15:10Speaker 1: no being disrespectful to panther. And see, if you wanted
- 15:16Speaker 1: to interview, I'm talking to you. I wanted to ask
- 15:19Speaker 1: you how old are you? Say? You have to say
- 15:23Speaker 1: the question, Hey, fat panther old addressed me as fat palful? Yes,
- 15:31Speaker 1: how old are you? Four hundred and fifty five years? Okay,
- 15:39Speaker 1: fat palful? Yes, Hey, flat Panther addressed me that what
- 15:44Speaker 1: I just did, Oh, I did take a little anger
- 15:48Speaker 1: in your voice. Who are you gonna get on his nerves,
- 15:54Speaker 1: Fra Panther, I'm just silly. Goot to be some extra agit.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Have you met Steve? Are you? I've heard about him?
- 16:01Speaker 1: I read a memo about him? Would him? Oh no, no,
- 16:09Speaker 1: you hit him with the body. Can't come on the
- 16:11Speaker 1: show no more? Hey fat? Yes? In your travels, do
- 16:19Speaker 1: you travel to fight crimers? Everything local? I will go
- 16:23Speaker 1: wherever there's a food injustice. Wherever there's a food injustice.
- 16:29Speaker 1: For instance, if your mom gets up in the mind
- 16:31Speaker 1: and it makes the boy sandwich and it goes to school,
- 16:36Speaker 1: he's got a ballooning sandwich. All the other kids have
- 16:39Speaker 1: a great lunch. I'm going to wake hers up and say,
- 16:43Speaker 1: Mike the boy a good bricklass, get your eyes out
- 16:47Speaker 1: to bed, Mike, some eggs and some grips your lazy bones. Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 1: where were you when Kentucky fried chicken rearing out of

- 18:53Speaker 1: just here fighting food injustices. What's up? That's a have
- 18:57Speaker 1: you heard about is a peanut butter? Oh shortage? That's

- 19:12Speaker 1: the real fat panther. George Wallace is mama to find
- 19:15Speaker 1: out where the food is going. If it's nuts, coquats, gripes, popcorn,

- 19:39Speaker 1: Oh my god, you should see how I eat that.
- 19:42Speaker 1: Honey bunny and bologne and cheese together. Is a sandwich?

- 20:45Speaker 1: on the next mission? What is your next mission? Danger?
- 20:51Speaker 1: Or he is every mission could beat his mission done.
- 20:57Speaker 1: That's just what I had done. Run hopefully hain't none

- 30:20Speaker 1: What hey Listen, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 30:29Speaker 1: Miss Anne will be here with today's national news and
- 30:32Speaker 1: Mr Trump jokes that Milannia will be next to leave
- 30:36Speaker 1: the White House. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Last week was chaotic at the White House. There was
- 30:49Speaker 1: so much going on. But the President attempted, you know,
- 30:53Speaker 1: made a little attempt at humor when he wanted to
- 30:56Speaker 1: laugh it off last Saturday night during the Gridiron Inner.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Some thought he might not participate at the Gridiron Dinner
- 31:03Speaker 1: in light of the resignation of Communications director Hope Hicks
- 31:06Speaker 1: last week and the admission that she told White lies
- 31:11Speaker 1: to cover for Trump. Uh. Yet Mr Trump not only attended,
- 31:15Speaker 1: he made light of his troubles, joking it's been a
- 31:18Speaker 1: really calm week at the White House. He also referenced
- 31:22Speaker 1: the high tone of turnover rates, saying, now the question
- 31:25Speaker 1: everyone keeps asking is who is going to be the
- 31:28Speaker 1: next to leave? Steve Miller or Milania? What crickets. Trump
- 31:41Speaker 1: also joked about his embattled adviser and son in law,
- 31:45Speaker 1: Jared Kushner, whose top secret security clearance we remember this
- 31:48Speaker 1: was downgraded last week. Um. He blamed Kushener for the
- 31:52Speaker 1: dinner running a bit behind schedules, saying it was late
- 31:55Speaker 1: because Jared couldn't get through security. Wow, look in the room,
- 32:01Speaker 1: because thing you can laugh at yourself This is pretty serious.
- 32:03Speaker 1: He's worse than mere actually pretty good children. Yeah, it
- 32:10Speaker 1: was a good joke, good joke writer, surely reading him
- 32:15Speaker 1: a little bit, losing a little bit, a little bit.
- 32:19Speaker 1: She reads very well, but she's too proper. He was
- 32:24Speaker 1: working the room man. Yeah, I think there's no joke
- 32:27Speaker 1: about his wife leaving. She might be leaving. I never
- 32:30Speaker 1: thought she was there. You live there, Yeah, and you are.
- 32:39Speaker 1: I've never seen a guy so disrespectful of the first
- 32:41Speaker 1: lady in the White House, any of the presidents. You know,
- 32:45Speaker 1: he'll get out the car and just get on the plane,
- 32:47Speaker 1: just leave her and never opened the door for it.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Never he does, he doesn't, he do any of it.
- 32:55Speaker 1: But when he's never done it. Remember when he tried
- 32:57Speaker 1: to grab her hand and stuff, and she swatted him away,
- 33:01Speaker 1: snatched back. So don't do this for the cameras. You
- 33:04Speaker 1: don't do it any other time. Yeah, So that's what
- 33:09Speaker 1: it is, Okay. I mean she's saying maybe, but the
- 33:13Speaker 1: whale bump, when it's totally different Obama and Michelle. I
- 33:17Speaker 1: mean that was just he had been doing that for years. Everything.
- 33:23Speaker 1: He's just that guy. He's a gym. She required and
- 33:27Speaker 1: they not only loved each other, but they actually liked
- 33:30Speaker 1: each other. I don't think they like yet. It was
- 33:33Speaker 1: Milania and I don't think. I don't think he likes anybody.
- 33:38Speaker 1: But the guy who's keeping that hair piece like him?
- 33:49Speaker 1: Make him? Man. Yeah, So we'll see how this week goes.
- 33:54Speaker 1: In the White House, man, people are leaving like crazy. Man.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Do anybody work there? Anybody? I don't know. I'm telling y'all,
- 34:02Speaker 1: Sarah Huckabee. You saying she's on her way out right,
- 34:05Speaker 1: I ain't saying she's on the way. But she can't
- 34:07Speaker 1: do it. You see cracks. You can't keep lying like that.
- 34:11Speaker 1: You're right, Yeah, she drawing her I make up all
- 34:15Speaker 1: the different everything. I love that she doesn't let the
- 34:29Speaker 1: hell with it moment and I let the hell with it.
- 34:32Speaker 1: Looking at him, this is turning. It has to mess
- 34:36Speaker 1: with your spirit, all right, Steve, she's here, please, ladies,
- 34:45Speaker 1: and she's here, Miss and Trip. Thanks guys, the morning, everybody.
- 34:49Speaker 1: This is answered with the news. Well. President Trump says
- 34:52Speaker 1: he does not expect to start a trade war by
- 34:55Speaker 1: imposing tarrison imported steel and aluminum. And that's despite the
- 34:58Speaker 1: fact that many of his fellow rep because they're urging
- 35:00Speaker 1: him to change his mind, but the President says it's
- 35:03Speaker 1: a way of simply balancing the scales. People have to understand,
- 35:06Speaker 1: our country has been ripped off by virtually every country
- 35:11Speaker 1: in the world, whether it's friend or enemy for everyone
- 35:14Speaker 1: is really referring to Canada. However, critics say they fear
- 35:17Speaker 1: that the new tariffs could end up causing higher prices
- 35:20Speaker 1: for people in this country and also a backlash against
- 35:23Speaker 1: US exports abroad. Trump says he expects to sign the
- 35:26Speaker 1: tariff words sometime this week. We don't know when, today, tomorrow, whenever.
- 35:29Speaker 1: By the way, the President also wanted the Docker program
- 35:32Speaker 1: to end yesterday, but of course it didn't. That's caused
- 35:34Speaker 1: the Congress is still the stalemate over doctor legislation, and
- 35:38Speaker 1: with the federal courts temporarily blocking the president's decision. While
- 35:42Speaker 1: current Dreamers can reapply for the program, no new people
- 35:45Speaker 1: can sign on for now. The farthest state sentence passed
- 35:48Speaker 1: a package of gun regulation measures that They include a
- 35:50Speaker 1: four hundred million dollar a package to be used for
- 35:53Speaker 1: things like school metal detectors and bulletproof the glass, even
- 35:56Speaker 1: for extra security personnel and mental health counselors to hopefully
- 36:00Speaker 1: identify students with problems and help them before they become
- 36:03Speaker 1: a danger to themselves or others. Package would also raise
- 36:06Speaker 1: the age limit for gun purchases and banned those bump
- 36:09Speaker 1: stock things which can turn a semi automatic rifle into
- 36:12Speaker 1: a fully automatic one. The bill now goes to the
- 36:14Speaker 1: Florida House for a possible vote by the end of
- 36:17Speaker 1: this week's stay tuned by the way. The Florida Senate
- 36:20Speaker 1: has also passed a measure to give the student survivors
- 36:23Speaker 1: of the Parkland High School shootings a break on their
- 36:26Speaker 1: end of year exams. A's right. It's an amendment to
- 36:29Speaker 1: an unrelated education bill that exempts youngsters who survived the
- 36:33Speaker 1: horrific event from the otherwise mandatory English math and science tests.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Now students can still take the test if they really
- 36:39Speaker 1: want to. This all has to get the okay though,
- 36:42Speaker 1: by the Florida House and by the government, but it's
- 36:44Speaker 1: expected to. The social news site read it says it's
- 36:48Speaker 1: removed a few hundred accounts link to Russian propaganda. Read
- 36:51Speaker 1: it CEO says the sites trying to identify and remove
- 36:53Speaker 1: all accounts that are connected to Russia, which have also
- 36:56Speaker 1: produced a lot of fake news. The Chair of the
- 36:58Speaker 1: powerful Senate appropriations commit Republican sad conquered of Mississippi, says
- 37:02Speaker 1: he's retiring April first. Cochlan was first elected to the
- 37:06Speaker 1: Senate in nineteen seventy eight. He's received recently been declining

- 37:53Speaker 1: mean the amazing thing is that he had his left
- 37:55Speaker 1: hand amputated when he was just four years old because
- 37:59Speaker 1: of a condition he was born with. Okay, he was.
- 38:02Speaker 1: He has blown away NFL scouts and he's proved the
- 38:06Speaker 1: naysayers wrong. They call him Shack. He ran the forty

- 45:34Speaker 1: up right after this, I'll be on side. You're listening
- 45:41Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the
- 45:44Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after today's
- 45:46Speaker 1: Strawberry Letters subject. They don't make them like they used to,
- 45:51Speaker 1: but right now it is time for the prank phone call.
- 45:53Speaker 1: What you've gotten? Yes, this goes out to all the
- 45:58Speaker 1: chill leadle Mama Bot bottom a competition this weekend bottom
- 46:07Speaker 1: of Hello, Hello, Hello, Hello, Yeah, can you hear me?
- 46:22Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Angela Angela hang on just a second,
- 46:25Speaker 1: let me count it down. Okay, Hi, how are you
- 46:30Speaker 1: trying to reach I'm trying to reach Angela's. This is Angela.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Oh Yeah, this hi Angela. This is Chip Chip. I'm
- 46:37Speaker 1: the new camp director for the cheerleading camp for the summer.
- 46:40Speaker 1: Hi Chip, What can I do for you? I just
- 46:42Speaker 1: wanted to give you a courtesy call. Your daughter. You
- 46:44Speaker 1: got her signed up for four weeks with the camp,
- 46:48Speaker 1: right ye Joey. This is your guys third year being
- 46:51Speaker 1: a part of the camp. Yep. And she's really excited.
- 46:54Speaker 1: She loved coming to the camp and we think it's
- 46:56Speaker 1: a great thing for her to be involved in. What's up? Okay,
- 46:59Speaker 1: you got your finished the whole cheer leading season? Two?
- 47:01Speaker 1: Am I right to competition season? Yes? There's coming off
- 47:05Speaker 1: of that, right right? Okay, Well, we're getting ready for
- 47:07Speaker 1: the summer and where everybody's excited about coming out and
- 47:10Speaker 1: being a part of what's going on. So here's what
- 47:12Speaker 1: I wanted to give you a little bit. Like I said,
- 47:14Speaker 1: I'm the new camp director. I was just starting at
- 47:17Speaker 1: this job. I got a few notes that that we're
- 47:20Speaker 1: given to me about about, so I wanted to give
- 47:24Speaker 1: you a call and see if I could talk to
- 47:25Speaker 1: you about it. A few notes giving to you about Yeah,
- 47:28Speaker 1: just a couple of notes. I don't think it's anything
- 47:30Speaker 1: that we can't make sure it's okay. What kind of note? Well,
- 47:33Speaker 1: it's been brought to my attention that some of the
- 47:35Speaker 1: parents whose daughters are out there as well. There's gonna
- 47:38Speaker 1: be there this summer. A little concerned about her being
- 47:42Speaker 1: on top of the pyramid, that she's uh is be
- 47:46Speaker 1: a little bit heavy? Should she uh wait wait wait
- 47:49Speaker 1: wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait ho ho ho?
- 47:52Speaker 1: You calling me about some some other bears and saying
- 47:56Speaker 1: about how big Marchell is on how much much out ways?
- 48:01Speaker 1: Is that work? Well? I wanted to let you know
- 48:03Speaker 1: was we're gonna put as a base. Oh no, you
- 48:09Speaker 1: ain't gonna put no bay, I don't already pay my money?
- 48:12Speaker 1: And what you say your name is Chip? And um,
- 48:15Speaker 1: how long have you been the director? Because I was
- 48:16Speaker 1: just up there two weeks ago and they told me
- 48:19Speaker 1: that she was gonna be the same position that she
- 48:22Speaker 1: was last year because that is what worked, that's the
- 48:24Speaker 1: formation that works. So I don't even know what you
- 48:27Speaker 1: supposedly that some of the girls are complaining that she's
- 48:30Speaker 1: too heavy to hold up. So that's what it seems
- 48:32Speaker 1: to be the problem in there. They're not getting a
- 48:34Speaker 1: strong enough pier man. And wait a minute, wait a minute,
- 48:38Speaker 1: I know well she ain't the be just one I
- 48:40Speaker 1: felt have you been myself? My child is not the
- 48:43Speaker 1: biggest sholot there when because I would to you, I'm
- 48:46Speaker 1: not saying these chilling and if somebody's so most I felt. Okay,
- 48:49Speaker 1: hang on a second, Angela, I want you to calm
- 48:51Speaker 1: down a bit. Now. Anybody's gonna calm down because I
- 48:54Speaker 1: don't already pay my money and this that's I'll be
- 48:56Speaker 1: talking about what parents, what Harrison said? Something is it?
- 49:00Speaker 1: Is it Carrie Man, I'm not. I'm not gonna state
- 49:03Speaker 1: who it is, but let's just say it was several
- 49:06Speaker 1: Harris has got something to say about my child and
- 49:09Speaker 1: her position on the chim leadings choad. Because if you
- 49:11Speaker 1: ain't saying to funk up no name, then I don'na
- 49:13Speaker 1: linerstand what you're calling me about. I'll tell you one thing.
- 49:16Speaker 1: When she get our tell I didn't pay my money,
- 49:18Speaker 1: she better not be on no face. She better be
- 49:21Speaker 1: in the hour. I guarantee you that. Right now, I've
- 49:24Speaker 1: been hanging with and he nobody said nothing to me
- 49:28Speaker 1: about in my way and all that. Okay, Angela, can
- 49:31Speaker 1: you hear me? I just wanted you to hear me. Clearly.
- 49:33Speaker 1: I haven't seen these young ladies yet. Once I see them,
- 49:37Speaker 1: I will critique what I think you don't even need
- 49:39Speaker 1: to be calling me because you ain't even seen nothing.
- 49:41Speaker 1: So you're calling me with something. He says, she's from
- 49:43Speaker 1: some other parents that's been skinny and gritted in my face,
- 49:46Speaker 1: and they now wanted to send nothing to me. They
- 49:48Speaker 1: have been in my house. We didn't have parties, always
- 49:51Speaker 1: have this competition every week end of the other day,
- 49:53Speaker 1: and they couldn't say nothing to me about my baby.
- 49:56Speaker 1: I tell you what, why don't you call your girls
- 49:58Speaker 1: on the three way? Missed the chill up? If you
- 50:01Speaker 1: can't call him on the three now I got them.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I called him on the three way differ. Okay, Okay,
- 50:06Speaker 1: Look man, all I wanted to do is make you
- 50:08Speaker 1: aware of the possibility that she may be Thank you
- 50:12Speaker 1: you have made me aware. And I guarantee you that
- 50:14Speaker 1: if I bring my big yellow something and come to
- 50:17Speaker 1: the practice, I guarantee you she won't be a face.
- 50:19Speaker 1: How much you want to bet on that, Mr Chip, Look,
- 50:21Speaker 1: you're gonna quit holler. I mean, I told you I
- 50:24Speaker 1: would try to take a look at these girls. But
- 50:25Speaker 1: I tell you what your thought is gonna be a
- 50:27Speaker 1: face or she's gonna be a back support, whichever I decide.
- 50:30Speaker 1: She's to do who and the do you think you're
- 50:34Speaker 1: only let Mr Chill, No, that's not how it's gonna
- 50:39Speaker 1: go down. As a matter of fact, as my fact,
- 50:40Speaker 1: Mr Chip, are you at the registration? Say but two
- 50:42Speaker 1: days I'm here now while people are registering turning around,
- 50:47Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. I'm on my way up there.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Why don't you and the Paris has been complaining, Why
- 50:52Speaker 1: don't all y'all come to the table, and we don't
- 50:54Speaker 1: have come to Jesus meeting about whether it's gonna be
- 50:58Speaker 1: but it's coming up season because I'm not going to
- 51:00Speaker 1: tolerate this. I've been told you, I haven't paid my
- 51:03Speaker 1: money and this high is going down. What what is
- 51:07Speaker 1: it to you, whether game wait or not? What does
- 51:09Speaker 1: they have to do with her chip meeting? Do you
- 51:11Speaker 1: agree that probably bigger than most of the girls on
- 51:14Speaker 1: the team. Not bigger than most of the girls on
- 51:17Speaker 1: the team. Uh? Mom, daughter, it's busy and she wasn't
- 51:20Speaker 1: no base lasd ship. They hiked up up some you
- 51:23Speaker 1: donna get up to. We're all just gonna be big
- 51:25Speaker 1: and plumped up in the air. I didn't turn the
- 51:28Speaker 1: round and I'm here to tell you the tray table.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Just be with it before you get here. There's something
- 51:34Speaker 1: else I need to tell you. Ain't gonna tell me something.
- 51:36Speaker 1: All you gotta do is men have you and the
- 51:38Speaker 1: stairs around that table when I get there, because I'm
- 51:41Speaker 1: on my way up there right now, then y'all can
- 51:43Speaker 1: say all y'all gotta say. In my case, well, before
- 51:47Speaker 1: you get it, I just want to let you know, man,
- 51:49Speaker 1: what this is nephew time? Who this is on this phone?
- 51:56Speaker 1: What did you just say? This is a nephew time
- 51:59Speaker 1: from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. God Lord, Rochelle, that's
- 52:10Speaker 1: another parent named Rochelle. She told for y'all. Good friends
- 52:13Speaker 1: out there. She got so she want to break outright,
- 52:17Speaker 1: we're gonna see the season start. Saught the uniform. She't
- 52:20Speaker 1: be able to perform, be looking for hers? How about
- 52:24Speaker 1: I want to break out? Oh? Man, hey, let me
- 52:26Speaker 1: ask baby, what is the baddest I mean, the baddest
- 52:30Speaker 1: radio show in the lag none other than the show
- 52:37Speaker 1: Got Down? Why my baby? Yeah, it happens. My baby
- 52:48Speaker 1: is the backspot? Why my baby? Yeah? Oh you cheerleader.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Mama's out there. That's the Salisbury, Maryland. I feel like
- 52:57Speaker 1: you want to get out a little bit this Friday
- 52:58Speaker 1: and get your laugh on. The nephew is coming to town.
- 53:01Speaker 1: What comical? It's the what comical? I hope I'm saying that.
- 53:04Speaker 1: I swell. I don't know if I'm saying comical. I
- 53:06Speaker 1: think I'm saying it right. But the nephew is there,
- 53:09Speaker 1: and the daddy chill. You want them to know that
- 53:11Speaker 1: your dad's Their job is to clap and write the check. Yes,
- 53:15Speaker 1: we do write the check. And what is the cheer
- 53:19Speaker 1: mom's job to be at all the competitions, to magas
- 53:24Speaker 1: and to cheer them on. We gotta be right. And
- 53:28Speaker 1: let me tell you something when they say cheering, when
- 53:31Speaker 1: my when my wife's telling me, listen, she cheers at
- 53:34Speaker 1: three twelve. You can't slide in there three thirty. You're
- 53:39Speaker 1: you're gonna miss the whole that because it's there's three minutes.
- 53:41Speaker 1: There's three minutes long. My little girl said, yeah, are
- 53:45Speaker 1: their parents who take it too far? What? I don't
- 53:48Speaker 1: know many parents that do that. Because Shirley said, I'm
- 53:51Speaker 1: taking it too far, and I don't agree she's taking
- 53:59Speaker 1: in too far. She does go a little overboard. You've
- 54:03Speaker 1: seen the movies call us one in the stands screaming,
- 54:10Speaker 1: I don't know. Caller gonna leave here Friday. You're gonna
- 54:13Speaker 1: go to a cheer competition. Listen to caller's voice so much.
- 54:18Speaker 1: Listen who every kid should have a mom like that? Yeah,
- 54:33Speaker 1: my mama wasn't like that. Now I turned out. I
- 54:37Speaker 1: have a T shirt that says real mom of cheer.
- 54:41Speaker 1: All right, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 54:43Speaker 1: the strawberry letters. Subject. They don't make them like they
- 54:46Speaker 1: used to. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright,
- 54:51Speaker 1: it is time for today's Strawberry Letter. But before we
- 54:54Speaker 1: get to it, let me just let you know that
- 54:56Speaker 1: if you have an issue, if you need some advice,
- 54:58Speaker 1: please write to us at Steve Harvey f M dot com. Right, Steve,
- 55:03Speaker 1: that's right, because we take these letters seriously. Yeah, we
- 55:12Speaker 1: could be reading your letter live on the air one day,
- 55:16Speaker 1: maybe today this could be you. All right, Steve Harvey
- 55:19Speaker 1: f M dot com. Send all your letters there, all right,
- 55:22Speaker 1: all right, nephew, let's go. It's time. Buckle up and
- 55:25Speaker 1: hold on time. The straw every now. Subject, they don't
- 55:30Speaker 1: make them like they used to. Dear Stephen Shirley, I
- 55:33Speaker 1: want your honest opinions. I'm young, and I have a
- 55:37Speaker 1: great job, my own place, and I'm happily single for now.
- 55:41Speaker 1: Here's my issue. I don't think a strong, independent woman
- 55:45Speaker 1: should stand by a broke man or wait for him
- 55:48Speaker 1: to reach his full potential. People always say I should
- 55:52Speaker 1: not overlook a man that falls short financially, but I
- 55:55Speaker 1: prefer to remain strong because I am not afraid of
- 55:59Speaker 1: being alone. So many women go through the emotional struggles
- 56:02Speaker 1: of being with a man just to say they have
- 56:05Speaker 1: a man. So is it selfish for me to live
- 56:07Speaker 1: my own life and continue to pray for the man
- 56:10Speaker 1: that God will send to me. I understand that men
- 56:12Speaker 1: are natural hunters, so once they see what they want,
- 56:16Speaker 1: they will keep pressing for it. How do I know
- 56:18Speaker 1: that a man's intentions are genuine and he's not looking
- 56:21Speaker 1: for the come up? What if he's a really great
- 56:23Speaker 1: guy but he's living check to check. I have been
- 56:27Speaker 1: in these types of relationships before, and they each ended
- 56:31Speaker 1: up as a waste of time and energy. Don't get
- 56:34Speaker 1: me wrong, I've been broke before, so I'm not doubting
- 56:37Speaker 1: anyone now that I'm doing much better and I'm able
- 56:40Speaker 1: to take care of myself. If it's bad that I
- 56:42Speaker 1: don't settle for half a man just to say I
- 56:44Speaker 1: have a man, seems like more men are looking for
- 56:46Speaker 1: someone to take care of them. Now. I'm not bashing
- 56:49Speaker 1: all men, but what's really going on nowadays? Well, I mean,
- 56:54Speaker 1: you know, you're perfectly, of course, within your rights to
- 56:56Speaker 1: feel how you feel. You said you're not bashing all men.
- 56:59Speaker 1: You're just, you know, talking about the kind of men
- 57:02Speaker 1: that you don't want, which is a good thing. I
- 57:03Speaker 1: think you know what you do want. Uh. You you
- 57:06Speaker 1: say you've been broke before. You're not doubting anyone. You
- 57:10Speaker 1: want to be with someone you don't want to settle.
- 57:13Speaker 1: I think that's perfectly fine. You shouldn't settle. You shouldn't settle.
- 57:16Speaker 1: If you're truly praying for the man that God wants
- 57:19Speaker 1: to send to you, then that's what you should be
- 57:22Speaker 1: open to. Uh. You'll know when it's the man that
- 57:25Speaker 1: God sends, God sent for you, because he'll be a
- 57:27Speaker 1: godly man. Uh. Yeah, men are natural hunters. Steve used
- 57:31Speaker 1: to talk about that on the show all the time. Uh.
- 57:35Speaker 1: But I think what you need to stay close to
- 57:38Speaker 1: is what you're praying for, is you're praying for God
- 57:41Speaker 1: to send you the man that you want. But just
- 57:43Speaker 1: make sure you're everything, you know, make sure your whole
- 57:47Speaker 1: and uh, you know, you're a good person and you're
- 57:50Speaker 1: a good woman. You have something to offer the world
- 57:53Speaker 1: and a man. Okay, don't just look for a man
- 57:55Speaker 1: to come and and make you whole. Already be whole. Okay,
- 57:58Speaker 1: It's okay for you to be on and independent and
- 58:01Speaker 1: all of that stuff. Just you know, if you're really
- 58:04Speaker 1: praying for God to send you a man, just wait
- 58:06Speaker 1: for that, all right, Steve, Well, this is a weird
- 58:12Speaker 1: letter because she's saying a couple of things. Uh. First
- 58:16Speaker 1: of all, I wish I knew how old she was,
- 58:19Speaker 1: because this has a lot to do with it. Now.
- 58:22Speaker 1: You know, if you don't think that a strong, independent
- 58:25Speaker 1: woman should stand by a broke man or wait for
- 58:29Speaker 1: him to reach his full potential, then you feel that way.
- 58:34Speaker 1: But let me say tell you something you're saying a
- 58:36Speaker 1: broke man. You said you've been in relationships with people
- 58:40Speaker 1: who live check to check. Let me say something to you.
- 58:43Speaker 1: The majority of people are living check to check. That's
- 58:47Speaker 1: a financial fact. Check to check don't mean you're broke.
- 58:51Speaker 1: It means you're in a situation where in three checks
- 58:54Speaker 1: you could be completely out. Well, most people live that
- 58:59Speaker 1: way until they put it together. If you're looking for
- 59:03Speaker 1: a man that's already made, what you haven't said directly
- 59:06Speaker 1: in this letter, but what appears to me that you've
- 59:09Speaker 1: said in this letter that you want somebody that's already made,
- 59:13Speaker 1: then get in line, because that line is gonna be long.
- 59:18Speaker 1: And if you're young, there are men who are in
- 59:22Speaker 1: the building process. It takes men are some time to
- 59:28Speaker 1: pull themselves together. It just does a man that's in
- 59:34Speaker 1: their twenties. It's gonna be hard to find a guy
- 59:36Speaker 1: that has it together in his twenties. It's going to
- 59:40Speaker 1: be hard because that's the learning phase of life. So, ma'am,
- 59:48Speaker 1: you've said quite a lot in this letter. Now, is
- 59:53Speaker 1: it true to some men are looking to be taken
- 59:55Speaker 1: care of? Yep, yep, that's true. They're easy to spot
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: because they're looking to be taken care of. They don't
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: want to pay for the dinners. They don't want to
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: pay to take you out. They ain't looking to sponsor,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: no trips, they ain't looking at Okay, what you know,
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: what are you talking about now? For guys living? Check
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: the check and trips ain't really available right now, maybe
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: once a year, but he's doing everything else he can
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: that men do. Then you might have a good prospect
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: that you're passing on because he's not made yet men
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: who have means. Just because a man got money don't
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: make him a good man. Uh true? Oh did I
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: just say that just because a man got money don't
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: make him a good man. So now you can pass
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: up on these other men who may have better qualities
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: and less funds, and go of the funds and get
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: the less quality man. Also, you said you're asking God
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: to send you a man if that's the case, wants
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: the letter for See this is how I read let
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: us as Sherley's right about several things. She said it
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: in her comment to you about it. Now, look, you
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: you can be by yourself? What who really want to
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: be by the self? Though? I mean, let's just have
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: an honest converse. Put your hand down. Other than his
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: bitter as evil, distraught old ass, don't ran over used
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: and abused guy like that? Other than that who don't
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: want to be alone? Everybody wants somebody. Then you say,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: how do I know that the man's intentions are genuine
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: and he's not looking for the come up. Like I
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: told you, it's easy. He's gonna want a lot of stuff.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: What if he's a really great guy but he's living
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: check to check. If I were you, I was signed
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: up for that because that really great guy hard to
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: come by. He ain't gonna always be living check to check. Now,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: great guys turned it around Eventually, great guys become great men,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: become great father has become great husbands. Money don't determine
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: am I preaching today? Yes? You are, amen? Amen, Amen,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: And you can preach the more. Part two of your
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: sermon coming up. Uh at three after the hour you're
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: listening to Steve Show. All right, Steve, come on, let's
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: get to part two of your response to today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: They don't make them like they used to. You know,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I was talking about this young lady who sayings too
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: many contradictory things in her letter about coming up. She's
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: talking about, uh, you know, majority of people living check
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: the check some men are looking to be taking care
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: of Uh. I told her that the man that has
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: money don't make him a good man. Uh, you're gonna
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: have to would should out take a man who's living
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: check the check, but it has great qualities. Yeah, because
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: he's on the come up. It takes a long time
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: for a man to get it together. And on the break,
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: I was reading another line. She said that was quite contradictory.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: She said, don't get me wrong, I've been broke before,
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: so I'm not downing anyone. Okay, you got that line, Shirley.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong. I've been broke before, so I'm
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: not downing anyone. Then she said, now that I'm doing
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: much better and I'm able to take care of myself,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: here's the contradiction. Is it bad if I don't settle
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: for a half a man just to say I have
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: a man? Now? You just said you've been broke before,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: so you're not downing anyone. Now you're telling me as
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: if a man don't have his finances together, that he's
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: half a man. Sister, let me let me, let me
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: let me help you understand something. You are setting yourself
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: up for contradictory life. A man's money has nothing to
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: do with his level of manhood. Some of the best
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: men I know and have known in my life have
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: far less than I have right now. But I have
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: the utmost respect for them love and admiration. I am
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: constantly in a quest to become my father all day.
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: I'm just trying to be slick Harvey, that's all. I'm
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: trying to be the hardest working man I ever knew,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: the best husband and the best father I've ever seen.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: This dude was there. He didn't miss a beat. He
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: didn't miss a beat, that's all. I'm trying to be
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: my daddy and had a tenth of the money I got.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: But he's the best example a man who I ever saw. So, Sister,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I think you're wrong, and I think you got to
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: make an attitude adjustment. Now you're saying something in the
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: letter about um, so is it selfish for me to
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: live my own life and continue to pray for the
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: man that God will send to me. Suppose God sends
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: you this really great man who's living check to check.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: That's the church saying, man a man again, because I
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: just can't knock these cats that don't have it financially together.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Because I gotta tell you something I was once that
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: I was that dude. I lived in a car for
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: three years, man, I'm pretty sure, man. I met a
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: couple of girls while I lived in the car. They
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: ain't see the potential. I ain't blame him, and she
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: wouldn't have been in there with you for sure. Oh no, man,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: I ain't asked nobody to come get in this car
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: with me. I knew I wasn't a good catch, but
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: I hung in there. I just kept hanging in there.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: These men gonna eventually get it together. Good men become
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: good husband's become good father. You're gonna miss out on
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: a good husband and a good father because he don't
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: have a good check right now. But if he's working
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: and got a plan and putting it together, that's called potential.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: And yeah, you should marry potential, and yeah you should
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: hook up with potential because y'all can build something together.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Everybody would love to meet Mr rich Man and go
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: on and get their life made right off. But THEMN
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: them numbers is few. So listen to me, ladies. It
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: is already hard to find a good man. Now you're
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: gonna narrow the search to a good rich man. What
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: what the only five percent? Here's a rate? Can I
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: preach now, Yes, sir, go right ahead. Five percent of
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: people make nine of the money in the world. Five
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: percent make of the world. So now you want what
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: you cannot be looking for one of them five percenters.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: You know what kind of options they got? Yes, they
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: want a shop. Do you understand me? They shopping how
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: they want to shop. They got options. Don't put yourself
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: in that position. Find you a good man with some
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: great potential, and y'all going and building life together. Stop
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: looking for these rich dudes, because you ain't the only one.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: That line is long, and they take advantage of the
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: long line. They interview a lot of people, yes, and
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: they're not that long. Thank you for the Strawberry Letter.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: If you had a letter, or condition or situation that
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: you would like some help with, please send it to
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: Steve Harvey dot com dot com, Steve Harvey FM dot
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: com that we could be reading dissected in helping your life. All.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: We could make a complete mackery of your letter, just
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: like yesterday. Yeah, yesterday was a Mary letter. Today with
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: some serious help right here for women in need. Thank
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: you very much. Those are my remarks of the Strawberry
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Letter to you of a condition, A ligature a cipheronatic
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: alpo dimical silas. I like cipher natic. You know what
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: I'm saying or you don't him and not fanatic. When
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: we come back, I'm gonna tell you this word I'm
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: made up on so crazy coming up in about ten minutes,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about O J. Simpson back in the news.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Wait till you hear about this, and then Steve is
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: gonna tell us about a word he made up on
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: the family feud. Uh, we'll be back. Oh Jay, this
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: is fast. What are you doing now he's back? Oh no,
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: we're gonna take a stabbing. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. Yeah,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: you're ready for o All right. Fox is set to
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: air an old interview of O. J. Simpson that they
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: they had on the shelf for years. Okay. In it,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: o J tells host Judith Reagan that he hypothetically had
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: an accomplice in the murders of Nicole Brown, Simpson and
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Ronald Goldman. Uh. Fox shell the interview for more than
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: eleven years after public outcry over the revelation that the interviewer,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Judith Reagan, reportedly paid Simpson three and a half million
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: dollars for the interview, Fox is now airing the interview
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: coming up March eleventh at eight pm as a two
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: hour special. Here's the title o. J. Simpson The Lost
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: Confession hosted by Sola Dad O'Brien our old friend girlfriend.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I've seen some of this and you know what, they've
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: cut nothing out either, man, they got everything in. This
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: is this the one based off the book if I
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: had done it? I got it? Yeah, this is the
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: this is the interview one time. It was done eleven
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: years ago. It's especially a slice of history. But remember
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Steve when he did the when he when he did
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: the book or something was called if if I had
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: done it? So this is from said from the beginning,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: uh that I thought he was guilty. Now a lot
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: of people disagree with that, but I just thought he
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: was guilty. Now he got free. I was mad at
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: him for still trying to show up and be regular. Hey, man,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: go sit your didn't he mess around until he finally
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: got to their put in jail, back in jail. That's
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: just I'm not a fan of stupidity, right right right?
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: You got away with murder? Yeah? Double? How do you
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: do that? And you know he's not the sharpest knife
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: in the drug That's what it is. Just so Steve,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: you think he was being stupid by still going out
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: to the golf course, playing golf and this interview, it's
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: just not a bright person. No one does this. A
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: person who's rashly thinking, does it? You don't care anything
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: about your children? This woman had children children, Your children
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: there your key and your dumbass is so arrogant that
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: you out here making these types of interviews, these type
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: of statements within the window. Are you kidding me? Yeah?
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: And and and that people were upset about it back
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: during that time, Steve, That's exactly what they were saying.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: So they shelved it. And now finally, I guess they're
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: thinking the climate has changed different. Now, why would Fox
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: take a stab at it? Didn'tn't try to air this?
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: Cut it out? Jay? Did you know what she's doing? Uh? Yeah,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: I agree, though, Yeah, just let it go. Let it go. Seriously,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: why now down and shut up? You'll be fine. But
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: that's Fox, though, don't we expect that? Yeah, I have
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: to watch will you watch it? I'm gonna watch it
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: because he's gonna make a lot of good points. So, well,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: you know what they say, Steve, he's talking about himself
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: in the third person. Then he kind of slips up.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Junior got it, Junior got off? Why didn't they cut
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: to the chase and do it. Well, they say he
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: talks about himself in the third person. Then he goes
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: and and kind of slips up, and then he says
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: he talks about himself in the first person. Well, well
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: they're they're saying, that's what they're saying. This is kind
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: of like a confession. Another word is just kind of dull. Yeah. Uh.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: During the taping, o J describes going to scare the
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: blank as sugar honey iced tea out of Nicole the
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: night she was killed, saying that he showed up in
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: the bronco with a friend, brought a knife, and wore
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: a hat and gloves for dramatic effect. So you could
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: take a listen, get everything you think you know about
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: that night. Because I know the facts better than anyone.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: This is one story the whole world got wrong. You
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: know it sounds. Yeah. I think the numbers are not
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: going to be as great as Fox wants them to be.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: I mean, people are like kind of fit up with
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: o J. I think so too. Yeah, I don't think
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: it's gonna do with well, especially millennials and stuff. They
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: don't know the story. They don't they don't you know,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: they weren't around when the Bronco Chase and all of that.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: It was the story of the century. Yeah, best acting
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: job I've seen. He was not gonna make it fit.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: It wont fit. And everyone everyone had a theory. Everyone
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: had something to say about this trial. What your theory?
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: He did it? You know, I completely agree with you
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: from day one. I mean people would argue you down
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: though about this. In l A. It was crazy because
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: it was racially divided, and I mean it was really crazy.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: If he didn't do it, would you let him spend
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: a night at jail house? Oh, he's spend a night
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: on let them know. No, I ain't locking. No, I'm
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: gonna be up with his the whole damn time. Yeah,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: you think we can find that bit what you did
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: on I did several bits old j You talking about
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: the Special Special? Yeah, hey man, that was my first HBO,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: specially first one. Yeah, that was my very first one
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: in Dallas. Yeah, somebody said they found a Hysman trophy
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: in the bushes. It was so much eledent And we
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: play a little bit of that. Yeah yeah, yeah, man,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: all right, when we come back, we're gonna hear some
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: of Steve's uh his own take on the whole o
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: J situation. When we come back years ago. You're listening
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, so Steve, before we
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: went to break, we were talking about the whole o
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: J special that's coming on on Fox this week. And then, um,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: I think Junior mentioned that you did a whole o
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: J run back in the day. This was my very
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: first HBO special. This was called That's Deep. Okay, I
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: remember That's Deep. It was actually named by Jonathan Slocal
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: because every time we were together. I used to say, Man,
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: that's deep. He said, Man, you always say that's deep.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: You are to name your special That's Deep. So and
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: I shot the special in Dallas, Texas. This is my
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: first HBO special back in nineties something. Man, this is
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: my bit on o JSON. We might as well get
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: it out the way. It's in the news every day.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: O J. Simpson. Now, you can have your opinion or
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: whether you think he did it or not. Most people
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: have formed ward already. You may not agree with what
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: I'm about to say, but damn it, I think he
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: did it. I think oh J killed everybody in the
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: driveway trying to kill that dog too. Dog had blood
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: on his He was just too quick for Old Jay's eyes.
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: Shot to a couple of things make me think he
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: did it. First of all, like my daddy always saying,
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: stick to what you do. You're a football player, hell
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: or play football. If you don't know how to commit murder,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: damn it, don't do it. Stay here at the house.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Puts out that trying killing people for if you ain't
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: good at it, Puss's own ignorance, and god ever just
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: popping up everywhere. Somebody say they found a Highman trophy
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: in the bushes. Because see, I am not up to
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: thinking that. The media got us going at this ain't
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: bout race. And I don't care what color he is.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: If he killed somebody, he got to go. I don't
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: give a damn if you do play football, and I
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: ain't backing nobody just calls you black. If you didn't
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: kill somebody, blue, black, green, yellow, yours got to go.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: I'm telling you that right now. And and and the
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: media then got all the Black America in the uproar
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: body being a race issue. This is ain't race, you
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: understand me. Oh, j ain't been black since he won
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: that has Me trophy. So Nah, I ain't pick it
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: then for no damn body, I ain't kidding O. That
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: can no sign kiss my So I tell let right now,
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Oh I might go down there and pick it, but
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: you ain't gonna like us on my sign because I'm
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: gonna have Oh Jay on both sides. So I'm gonna
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: tell you what else is wrong with it? Oh Ja's
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: reactions ain't right for me? You know, if you ain't
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: did it, act like you ain't did it. You know,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Oh Jay need to raise some hell or something. Sitting
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: over there, drawing, laughing, ha ha ha, Are you listening
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: to the trial? The hell are you laughing at? Old j?
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: You're something for double murder? Because I'm gonna tell you something.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: I haven't been in the court a whole lot of
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: times for a lot less than murder and then raised
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: more hell than Oh J. Because I'm gonna tell you
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: right now, if I'm in on trial for double murder
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: and I ain't did it, the gag rule is in
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: effect on me. Every day, I'm gonna be in there
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: with handcuffs on and tarlet tissie in my mouth. That's
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: how you act if you ain't done nothing, Oh Jay,
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: sitting up that way? Too cool? Oh j need to trip. Oh,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: they need to show me something. Stand up trying the
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: table over, that's bullshit. You kiss you kiss me? Oh,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: y'all kiss my? Come on, ain't seeing Let's get on
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: the bout of hill Middling. In my very first HBO special,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: I can't remember the year that came out, but it
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: was before Kings of Comedy. Oh wow, I'm surprised you
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: can't remember the year because you never it was like
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: nineties six, because HBO special is like ninety eight. I
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: think that's the yellow suit. This was in the Barbara
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: Baits suit. Barbara baths. Yeah, had a double pattern suit,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: big past, big cote. Why children, why? And it was
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: it was just it was a time, man, when I
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: was free to do whatever I wanted to do. People
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: have talked to me about coming back and doing one more,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: going to Netflix and Amazon or Showtime or HB or
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: something and do one more. But I don't know, man,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: I don't know that I could be that free. I don't. Oh,
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: I know, I can't. Oh no, the brand, no, no,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: your whole brand now, an entire brand, reggish deep, I'll
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: do it. You ain't got a brandt no brand, just
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: the way you like it. Man, let me tell you something.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: I could write some stuff so funny. But I've been suggested,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: they said, Steve, why don't you just do it in
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: a different way, Why don't you just do the Steve today?
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: Well right, it runned by us and we'll let you know.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: You know what Junior said about us earlier. Carlam My
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: special A going to be fun. Good night. Let you
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: you and Carla do not take any risk. We're not
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: doing that. We're not doing that. We're not doing that
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: show doing that. That's love right here, Steve, that's just
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: are you crazy? You lost your You're doing that on here?
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: I'm just Steve now, but you need somebody like that.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: All Right, we gotta go. Uh we've been We'll be
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: back with more of this craziness. Great job to Steve.
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: You're listening, Steve Harvey Morning Show. March primaries are this month, guys,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: and today is election day in Texas. Now keep this
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: in mind. Okay, the two thousand eighteen general election will
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: be held on November six of this year, but today
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: the Republican and Democratic parties nominate their candidates by primaries. Okay,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: we're on the air in Houston, Dallas, Austin, Waco, Colleen,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: and the polls are open from seven am to seven pm.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: There are more than fifty women running for Congress. Fifty
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: women running for Congress, Okay, in the state of Texas.
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: So if you're in Texas, do not sit out the primaries.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: We need more female representation. Vote today and then next
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: Tuesday it's the Florida primaries. Alright, So we just want
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: to make you, guys where we have to do our parts.

- 1:24:59Speaker 1: What we do it to j Spot besides making tacos late, Um,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: if you order them by the primary, you'll have them
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: by then generally. Yeah. Can I just have had the
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: tacos Their delicious, Yeah, but they weren't on time tacos. Yeah,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: if you're gonna ever have tacos, that would be a
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: good time to order order early, Order early so by
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: the time you get there your tacles. But what we
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: do every Tuesdays from Neil, my manager, they have to
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: get out to vote because Tuesdays somewhere there's a voting.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: The voting is going. That's pretty much. So we have
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: this form where people sit out and talk about you know,
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: issues and you know in the primary votes that are
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: coming up, like a little small town home and we
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: do that. That's great, ye say, it's slowly understand the
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: five eighty one West Manchester Avenue, Los Angeles, California, right
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: above the subway. You know, we don't really do this
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: no more. But ah at six, which is today. Ms
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Patty Turner, Detroit, Detroit. I gotta I gotta show her love.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: Y'all don't know Miss Patty, but yeah, for years back
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: in the day when I was with Michael Matthews, she
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: used to be the war drop Mr. Shirt that she
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: would be like, she's just christ executive producer executive. Miss
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: Patty turned a Happy birthday, baby, you're seven years old, young,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: You're looking good. Can I do a birthday shout out too? Then?
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: Since we come on, come on, this is birthday, they

- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Happy birthday, Laura. Oh you called? You know. She don't

- 1:26:48Speaker 1: is my auntie. She is miss a k This is okay, okay, okay. Well,
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago, my granddaughter, the Taj had
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: a birthday and I didn't get it. So I'm getting

- 1:27:58Speaker 1: she knows to go. Happy birthday everybody. We love you guys.
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: We'll be back you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: Last week was chaotic at the White House. It was
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: so much going on. But the President attempted, you know,
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: made a little attempt at humor when he wanted to
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: laugh it off last Saturday night during the Gridiron Dinner.
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Some thought he might not participate at the Gridiron Dinner
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: in light of the resignation of Communications director Hope Picks
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: last week and the admission that she told White lies
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: to cover for Trump. Uh. Yet Mr Trump not only attended,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: he made light of his troubles, joking it's been a
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: really calm week at the White House. He also referenced
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: the high tone of turnover rates, saying, now the question
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: everyone keeps asking is who is going to be the
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: next to leave? Steve Miller or Milania crickets. Trump also
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: joked about his embattled adviser and son in law, Jared Kushner,
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: whose top secret security clearance we remember this was downgraded
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: last week. Um. He blamed Kushener for the dinner running
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: a bit behind schedules, saying it was late because Jared
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: couldn't get through security. Wow, look in the room, because
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: you think you could laugh at yourself This is pretty serious,
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: worse than are actually pretty good children. Yeah, it was
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: a good joke, had a good joke. Writer Shirley reading
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: a little bit, losing a little bit a little bit.
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: She reads very well, but she's too proper. He was
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: working the room man. Yeah, I think there's no joke
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: about his wife leaving. She might be leaving. I never
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: thought she was there with you live there now, yeah,
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: and you are. I've never seen a guy so disrespectful
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: of the first lady in the White House, any of
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: the presidents. You know, he'll get out the car and
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: just get on the plane, just leave her and never
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: opened the door for never. He doesn't, he doesn't know
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: any of it. But when he's never done it. Remember
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: when he tried to grab her hand and stuff, and
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: she swatted him away or snatched back. Oh, don't do
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: this for the cameras. You don't do it any time. Yeah,
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: So that's what it is, Okay, I mean maybe, but
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: the whale bump, when it's totally different Obama and Michelle,
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: I mean, that was just he had been doing that
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: for years everything. He's just that guy. He's a gentleman.
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: She required and they not only loved each other, but
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: they actually liked each other to I don't think they
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: like yet. It was Milania and I don't think he
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: likes anybody. But the guy who's keeping that hare piece
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: like him. You got make him, make him. Yeah, So
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: we'll see how this week goes. In the White House, man,
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: people are leaving like crazy. Man. Do anybody work there? Anybody?
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm telling y'all, Sarah Huckabee, you're saying
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: she's on her way out right, I think saying she's
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: on the way, but she can't do it. You see cracks.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: You can't keep lying like that. You're right, Yeah, she
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: drawing her I make up all the different I'll take
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: a while to get into all. Coming up the last
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: break of the day, the last break of the day
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: with Steve's closing remarks. You're listening to, Hey, y'all, I
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: got so much from this closing remark that I did
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: yesterday that I don't play it back. Some people said
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: I missed it. I heard about prayer. Could you please
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: play it back? So I'm gonna play my clothes remark
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: back today. Okay, okay, alright, good. My closes remarks today
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: as rather personal to me. Uh, as I'm sure it
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: is with a lot of you when you hear the subject,
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: But I want to try to encourage people to make
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: this readily available to themselves. I can't even begin to
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: tell you how effective this weapon has been for me
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: throughout my life, how many times I have used this
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: to help me, to comfort me, to soothe me, to
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: guide me, to just make me feel like somebody's listening.
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: I'm talking about the effectiveness of prayer. I want to
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: remind everybody on a personal level of what prayer has
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: meant to me. Now, I'm sure there are millions of
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: people listening to me know exactly what I'm talking about,
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: but sometimes you gotta say it out loud as reminded
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: to yourself and just an offer to other people who
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: might be struggling out there. Because everybody struggles with something,
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: But every time I've truly struggled with something, prayer has
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: been my most most effective tool. It really is, man.
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: The thing about prayer, The cool thing about prayers. You
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: don't have to ask for nobody's permission, you don't need
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: an appointment, you don't have to clear it with anybody,
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: and I'm sure that you know people will share with
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: you certain methods they use, but really, anyway you do
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: it be just fine. You don't have to be on
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: your knees, you know, if you want to, that's absolutely fine.
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: But you could be on the public transportation, you could
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: be driving, you could be sitting in your car, you
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: could be in your cubicle, you could be at your desk,
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: you could be at your workstation, you could be walking
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: on the way to lunch. If you can do it anywhere,
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: So please don't wait until you have an available space
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: or time. Because the thing about praying, God man, He's
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: always available. The cool thing about prayer also, it doesn't
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: require perfection. And what I mean by that is you
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: don't have to have yourself together to do it. This
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: is a big one that people need to understand. Pray
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: does not required perfection. As a matter of fact, Prayer
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: doesn't require that you come to pray after you get
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: it right. A matter of fact, you don't have to
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: get it right. You don't have to be perfect. Prayer
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: is for broken people. Prayer is for people that are confused.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Prayers for people who are unsure about the next move.
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: Prayer is for people who are grieving. Prayer is for
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: people who are hurting. Prayer is for people who feel alone.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: It's for people who got nowhere to go, who have
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: no place to turn. Now, it would be good if
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: you used it all the time, but let's be honest,
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: a lot of times we wait till something is wrong.
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: It's best to do it all the time. But if
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: you are finding yourself in one of these positions of
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: being broken, confused, unsure, hurting, grieving alone, then it's available.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: Because the thing about God is he's merciful. He understands
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: is already that you're not perfect. He understands already that
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: you only come to him a lot of times when
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: you really need him. But the incredible thing about him
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: is he's always there. That's incredible. God is behind the
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: prison walls, He's inside of hospitals. God is down at
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: the funeral home. God shows up man when he needed most,
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: when he's needed most. And it doesn't matter, because let
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: me tell you what prayer has done for me. It
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: is giving me comfort. It has given me a sure
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: fire way to get real answers. Prayer connects us to
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: the greatest source of power available to man. I'm just
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: talking to you real, y'all. I'm just giving it to
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: you the way I see it, that are people who
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: can explain prayer far better than me. I'm pretty sure
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: there's some people in that pool pit can give you
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: a cold, cold definition prayer. But what if you ain't,
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: What if you ain't down that Sunday. I'm just telling
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: you from a hood cat that prayer has worked for me,
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: That it got through got me through some of my
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: darkest moments when it seemed like everywhere I turned they
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: was against me. Prayer got me through it. Oh. I've
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: done some things publicly, man, Lord have mercy, man that
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: I know would have crumbled me if it was not
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: for prayer. I've heard people talking about me that don't
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: even know me, ain't never met me, just saying negative
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: about me. You know what got me through it? Prayer.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: You know when they all said I was just ignorant
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: person on television. Prayer when I was being called out
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: of my name what I felt was unjustifiably prayer, Prayer
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: when they lie about me, dragged my character and name
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: through the mud with lies. Prayer, Prayer when I was
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: homeless and living in that car. Prayer, Prayer changes things.
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: Just use it, man, Stop being proud and use it.
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: Because prayer works. Pray. Don't ask nobody listen, don't forget
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: to pray, don't be ashamed to pray, and don't ever
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: be too proud to pray, because prayer, prayer changes things.
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: You can believe that, y'all. Have a great weekend. It's
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: already I'm working this weekend too. Have a great weekend. Pray.
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: We're gonna pray for all. Steve Harvey Contests No purchase necessary,
