- 0:19Speaker 1: doing me true good at Steve har listening to move

- 0:51Speaker 1: be you doing me. You gotta use that turn you
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out turn got the turn out,
- 1:45Speaker 1: then the water, the water. Come come on your baby
- 1:59Speaker 1: it uh huh, I sure will a good morning everybody.
- 2:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on dig me now,
- 2:07Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I'll do man, God is good. Hey today, I just
- 2:14Speaker 1: want to get right to it because this has really
- 2:16Speaker 1: been pressing me. I woke up and this was on
- 2:20Speaker 1: my mind and I wanted to share it with you
- 2:23Speaker 1: because I know this for a fact. See I've lived
- 2:28Speaker 1: this for a fact, and you know the majority of
- 2:33Speaker 1: things I talk about in the morning before we get
- 2:37Speaker 1: started with the regular show. It's something that I've experienced.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I can only tell you what I know. And so
- 2:44Speaker 1: I've really really understood why God has had my life
- 2:48Speaker 1: go the way that is gone, because if I didn't
- 2:52Speaker 1: have all these tests in my life, I didn't have
- 2:55Speaker 1: all these tests that I passed, all these tests that
- 2:58Speaker 1: I failed. If I didn't have all of those the
- 3:04Speaker 1: good and the bad, what could I share with you
- 3:08Speaker 1: in the morning? What could I tell you about hanging?
- 3:14Speaker 1: What could I tell you about failing and then winning?
- 3:17Speaker 1: What could I tell you about hanging in now when
- 3:21Speaker 1: all hope was gone? How could I share that with you?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Unless I've had those moments myself. I don't care what
- 3:30Speaker 1: happens to you. I don't care what you're going through.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Don't you dare dare give up? Under no circumstances. Don't
- 3:43Speaker 1: you dare dare ever give up? It is the biggest
- 3:49Speaker 1: trick that the enemy has is making us think we
- 3:55Speaker 1: ain't gonna make it, to water down the illusion that
- 4:01Speaker 1: there is a possibility that you might still have a
- 4:06Speaker 1: chance to get over. The biggest trick he uses is
- 4:10Speaker 1: when you make a mistake and you fall. He gets
- 4:13Speaker 1: you to start to thinking it's final, that there is
- 4:17Speaker 1: no resurrection, there is no redemption, there is no recovery.
- 4:22Speaker 1: He just makes you think it's final. He is the
- 4:26Speaker 1: master deceiver. Don't you dare dare ever give up? I
- 4:31Speaker 1: don't care what besets you, befalls you, trips you up,
- 4:36Speaker 1: what circumstantial situations may arise. Don't you dare dare ever
- 4:41Speaker 1: give up? Because listen to me, these are tests that
- 4:46Speaker 1: you are going through. And these tests, whether you pass
- 4:51Speaker 1: the test or appears that you've failed the test, the
- 4:55Speaker 1: test accomplishes the mission if you're smart about it. If
- 5:01Speaker 1: you pass the test. Let's say you're going through a
- 5:04Speaker 1: situation and you get over and it goes the way
- 5:07Speaker 1: you want it to do, then what you've learned is
- 5:11Speaker 1: if you hang in there, there's a light at the
- 5:15Speaker 1: end of the tunnel. Okay, mission accomplished. If you fail
- 5:20Speaker 1: the test and it doesn't go the way you want
- 5:23Speaker 1: it and it goes the opposite and it turns out
- 5:27Speaker 1: into a negative result, and in response you were looking
- 5:30Speaker 1: for is a no. That's not final. That doesn't mean
- 5:37Speaker 1: it's over, that doesn't mean it's time to turn back.
- 5:41Speaker 1: It simply means that now you have learned a valuable experience,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you have learned a valuable lesson. You now know what
- 5:53Speaker 1: not to do. You are now because you know what
- 5:57Speaker 1: not to do, another step closer to getting it right.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Listen to me, it has to happen this way. You
- 6:07Speaker 1: have to have the rain in your life to get
- 6:11Speaker 1: the flowers in your life. You got to have the
- 6:14Speaker 1: darkness in your life to appreciate the sunshine in your life.
- 6:21Speaker 1: You got to have woes and worries to appreciate the joys.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It is merely a test. So when you get through failing,
- 6:33Speaker 1: and you get through stumbling, and you get through messing
- 6:37Speaker 1: it up, all that's getting you one step closer to
- 6:41Speaker 1: getting it right. Oh, my relationship ended. I'll never be
- 6:46Speaker 1: able to find another person like that. Not only will
- 6:49Speaker 1: you not be able will not only will you be
- 6:51Speaker 1: able to find a person like that, you can find
- 6:56Speaker 1: a person that far better than that if you don't
- 7:00Speaker 1: give up. But see, sometimes you got to go through
- 7:04Speaker 1: the bad ones to get to the good ones. Don't
- 7:08Speaker 1: you dare dare ever give up? I don't care what
- 7:11Speaker 1: happens to you if you lose a love one. And
- 7:15Speaker 1: Lord knows, I've lost some people I've loved dearly with
- 7:20Speaker 1: every inch in me. I've lost my mother, my father,
- 7:26Speaker 1: my brother, and my best friend. I don't know. I
- 7:31Speaker 1: know people who have lost their children. Goodness, man, I
- 7:35Speaker 1: can't even imagine that. But they kept on going. What
- 7:40Speaker 1: you're giving up for. Oh, I got you miss them,
- 7:44Speaker 1: and I got you grieving, but I got news for you.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Don't you let the devil make you think it's over
- 7:50Speaker 1: for you because somebody else ain't still here. It was
- 7:53Speaker 1: their time. Now. I'm not trying to lessen to blow
- 7:56Speaker 1: for you, but I'm trying to get you up on
- 7:58Speaker 1: your feet so you can stop all this old woe
- 8:01Speaker 1: is me because the things is happening to you. You're
- 8:04Speaker 1: not the first person that's happened to Come on, now,
- 8:06Speaker 1: let's get a grip. Let's wrap your mind around this thing.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You have got to move forward, if it's just in
- 8:13Speaker 1: memory of those people. I was on one of the
- 8:16Speaker 1: commercial breaks on Family Feud the other day and somebody
- 8:18Speaker 1: asked me something and I forgot the question, but my
- 8:22Speaker 1: answer was, I always wanted my mother and father to
- 8:25Speaker 1: be proud of me, and in that absence and their demise,
- 8:31Speaker 1: I'm hoping, just somehow man that they watching me, that
- 8:35Speaker 1: they see their boy, that I'm down here, that I'm
- 8:38Speaker 1: doing better, that I'm making something about myself, that I'm
- 8:43Speaker 1: loving my wife, that I'm taking care of my kids.
- 8:46Speaker 1: It's at my old man to see that about me.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You know, I want my mother to see I'm trying
- 8:52Speaker 1: to get my life together over here, you know, saying
- 8:55Speaker 1: I'm trying to be a better person. My mom was
- 8:56Speaker 1: a Sunday school teacher for forty years. She'd been praying
- 8:59Speaker 1: for me for a long time. I just hope, man,
- 9:03Speaker 1: and that's all I'm doing. It's just hoping that they
- 9:06Speaker 1: see me so they ain't be proud of me. See you,
- 9:09Speaker 1: you you, you you. You got to understand that when
- 9:13Speaker 1: you make these mistakes, that when you fall and stumble
- 9:17Speaker 1: and you get it all so wrong, it ain't over
- 9:20Speaker 1: for you. Don't you dare dare dare ever give up?
- 9:24Speaker 1: Don't stop thinking, man, because it ain't happening just the
- 9:27Speaker 1: way you wanted to that it ain't meant to be devil.
- 9:30Speaker 1: He got so many tricks to deceive you. You know
- 9:34Speaker 1: why you're being tested right now, because there is no
- 9:37Speaker 1: testimony without the test. You got to go through something.
- 9:43Speaker 1: It's all good man telling you. I just wanted to
- 9:46Speaker 1: share that with you. Don't you give up out there.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I don't care what's happening. Don't don't, don't don't get deceived.
- 9:52Speaker 1: The victory's coming. But you ain't gonna get it if
- 9:55Speaker 1: you quit. Hang on, y'all, you're listening to show. Ladies
- 10:02Speaker 1: and gentlemen, undivided attention. Please, Capricombs, Aquarius, Leo's, Taurus, Gemini, Cancers, Libras,
- 10:14Speaker 1: anybody I leave out, Pisces, Taurus, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio's, Leo's Virgos, virgols.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I left their mount that ought to be a madge
- 10:30Speaker 1: sat Okay, now if that's not if we left you
- 10:34Speaker 1: out now it was too bad out on your nerves. Now,
- 10:40Speaker 1: this is not a good opening. This ain't what I
- 10:42Speaker 1: was open for. Aggravated myself. I named seven of them.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I felt very comfortable, lady gentleman, Steve Harvey, Mortis show
- 10:51Speaker 1: good Mortor, Shirley Strawberry, Leo checking in, Good morning, Steve,
- 10:55Speaker 1: Colin Farrell, Libra checking in, good moning, Jill representing these councils.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I ain't say I knew where he was going. Yeah, Tommy,
- 11:12Speaker 1: towards the ball in the house, baby, I represent cap
- 11:15Speaker 1: con Capricorn, ain't no Capricorn canco con ca Yeah, Capricorn. Well,
- 11:32Speaker 1: how y'all feeling today? Good? God, good good? Yeah, nothing
- 11:38Speaker 1: to complain about. Steve, Yeah, we bid that truly blessed,
- 11:42Speaker 1: were working employed. We're here living here, well, I'm in Miami.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Got here to oh Super in Miami. It was nice.
- 11:55Speaker 1: It's nice down here. I had lunch outside, dinner, had
- 11:59Speaker 1: to go to the right is meeting out. Jesse was
- 12:02Speaker 1: in the writer's meeting last night writing the monologue for
- 12:06Speaker 1: this weekend, Oh for the NFL. Don't like it? You
- 12:10Speaker 1: like it? Well? I mean, you know the one thing
- 12:13Speaker 1: about it, man, one thing about these jokes I do
- 12:15Speaker 1: not If I don't like it, I do not have
- 12:17Speaker 1: to tell it. O. No, no, no no. I was
- 12:21Speaker 1: just trying to figure out what they're gonna let me
- 12:23Speaker 1: get away with. Are you writing your entire monologue by
- 12:27Speaker 1: yourself or you have no no, no, not awesome writers
- 12:30Speaker 1: with me? But you know I pretty much. You know,
- 12:33Speaker 1: I've been thinking about it for a while, so I
- 12:35Speaker 1: had I wrote already written an opening joke and the
- 12:38Speaker 1: clothes and joke already done that. I just wanted some
- 12:43Speaker 1: feel ideas and they gave me. So we're gonna work
- 12:45Speaker 1: on it. The feel of stuff that I want to
- 12:47Speaker 1: put in the middle. Okay. You know, I take premises
- 12:50Speaker 1: from people and then I turn it into my way.
- 12:53Speaker 1: You know. That's that's how you get your system. Writing
- 12:56Speaker 1: system works. So we'll see how it goes. Has anybody
- 12:58Speaker 1: told Mark Curry that anybody throw what? Has anyone told
- 13:03Speaker 1: Mark Curry that, you know what I think at the
- 13:09Speaker 1: beginning of the show, Well, I don't look that. No,
- 13:14Speaker 1: It's okay, because I've just come to terms with it,
- 13:17Speaker 1: and I'm perfectly fine. And I just decided the biggest
- 13:21Speaker 1: mistake I made was walking down the street commenting I
- 13:25Speaker 1: should stay on the wall. I should just stay on
- 13:27Speaker 1: the wall. Yeah, and said, and how to win the
- 13:31Speaker 1: shopping There ain't nothing you do, no way in front
- 13:34Speaker 1: of the window. All right, Steve, coming up your favorite
- 13:37Speaker 1: segment of the show? Time for asked Steve at thirty
- 13:40Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, come old girl right after this.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You're listening to show time now, Steve for your favorite? Yea,
- 13:51Speaker 1: asked Steve. You're ready, Please keep your answer short. I
- 13:58Speaker 1: can't problem with see that, all right, I'll go first,
- 14:05Speaker 1: just off the top of my head, Steve, Uh, do
- 14:08Speaker 1: you ever think and I don't know if I've asked
- 14:10Speaker 1: you this lately, but do you ever think we'll have
- 14:13Speaker 1: another black president anytime soon? Uh? Not too soon. It
- 14:17Speaker 1: definitely won't have one in this election. They coun cored gone,
- 14:24Speaker 1: So no, we're not gonna have one this election. So
- 14:28Speaker 1: I'm thinking, you know, uh, the the best thing, you know,
- 14:37Speaker 1: I don't. I just don't want Donald Trump to be
- 14:39Speaker 1: president no more. But I have a sinking feeling the
- 14:43Speaker 1: way this country is turning that they're going to reelect
- 14:47Speaker 1: him unless we we have to get out in massive numbers.
- 14:53Speaker 1: I mean like massive number Obama. Yeah. The rest of
- 15:00Speaker 1: my answers is gonna be ignorant. Come on, all right,
- 15:06Speaker 1: if you were a comedian, what other profession would you do?
- 15:09Speaker 1: And why? I would be a junior high or high
- 15:12Speaker 1: school basketball coach. I would love to coach on the
- 15:15Speaker 1: college level, but cuss too much. And that's and I
- 15:19Speaker 1: would do that because I like shaping young boys thoughts,
- 15:22Speaker 1: processing lives, and being that coach would help me be
- 15:25Speaker 1: a father figure to a lot of young men. Okay,
- 15:29Speaker 1: great answer. Oh I like that, And I got one.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I got one. What are three items you could buy
- 15:39Speaker 1: at the grocery store? And how the cashier rolling on
- 15:44Speaker 1: the floor? Uh? Oh, apple sauce? Yeah, because who buys that?
- 15:59Speaker 1: He'll be in there buying some damn apple sauce. Fall.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I can't imagine that being in the basket. Oh, another item,
- 16:08Speaker 1: they'd probably be holing, laughing. Oh, buttermilk. But back there
- 16:14Speaker 1: arguing cost buttermilk. Don't come in and down a gallant. Yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 1: back there, just argus I don't want folk quartz, buttermilk.
- 16:29Speaker 1: And probably the third item that would cost the most
- 16:32Speaker 1: conflict for me at the cash register or would be
- 16:37Speaker 1: uh probably box chore what Yeah, because I hate that
- 16:47Speaker 1: vegetable with everything in me. It's the hardest to chew,
- 16:51Speaker 1: damn thing I've ever seen in my life. It looked
- 16:54Speaker 1: like it will taste good, but you can't chewing. So
- 16:57Speaker 1: I would just be up those three items right there.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Thank you. Tommy got carola? All right. I got a
- 17:03Speaker 1: question super Bowl weekend, Miami. Would you rather be the
- 17:08Speaker 1: best player on a horrible team or the worst player
- 17:13Speaker 1: on a great team? Uh? I probably want to be
- 17:21Speaker 1: the best player on the horrible team. Yeah, yeah, because
- 17:26Speaker 1: at least I can live with myself at the end
- 17:28Speaker 1: of the day. What I'm not gonna do is being
- 17:30Speaker 1: on the championship team and I'm making no damn contribution
- 17:34Speaker 1: at all. You know, everybody telling about why is he
- 17:37Speaker 1: on the damn team? Right? I would rather be on
- 17:40Speaker 1: the team going, why y'all on the damn anybody score
- 17:46Speaker 1: other than me? Just st well, I gotta pass it
- 17:51Speaker 1: to my damn saying well what okay? I like that?
- 17:57Speaker 1: All right, Steve? If you could trade fives with anyone
- 18:04Speaker 1: on the planet, who would it be? You could trade life?
- 18:07Speaker 1: Someone you know, someone you you know? I mean, who
- 18:09Speaker 1: would it be if you could trade? I know you
- 18:11Speaker 1: love your life? I know you do. Rub Smith the billionaire,
- 18:16Speaker 1: the black guy, the billionaire, yep, taking if I had
- 18:22Speaker 1: why because he got about eight billion dollars that's seven
- 18:34Speaker 1: hundred that's that's eight he got how many billions? I
- 18:39Speaker 1: say he got eight that's seven billion, nine hundred and
- 18:45Speaker 1: fifty million more than I've ever had Due the Master,
- 18:52Speaker 1: he could do with Terrence J. Terrence J is gonna
- 18:55Speaker 1: be working with him. Then. I don't know that. Yeah,
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm just kid. Really, I don't know. I don't I
- 19:02Speaker 1: don't really know, man, But uh, I don't really have
- 19:10Speaker 1: to be rich. Don't have to be rich. Why would
- 19:15Speaker 1: I want to? You've seen that movie before. I don't
- 19:23Speaker 1: know what what makes you think I'll feeling. Go back,
- 19:28Speaker 1: But you're wrong about that ship. I'll be damned if
- 19:32Speaker 1: you don't have to be rich. Oh wait, let me
- 19:35Speaker 1: tell you what I'm not fitting it. Voluntarily go back,
- 19:42Speaker 1: No One and upward. That's why I picked Robert because
- 19:49Speaker 1: he cool, he got swaggy, dressed good. He's making a difference.
- 19:53Speaker 1: He changing lives. He gave all them young boys that
- 19:56Speaker 1: money at more House. You know, he got plenty of
- 19:58Speaker 1: more left where that come from. He darvos making decisions
- 20:02Speaker 1: about African Americans lives and welfare. You know, he just
- 20:07Speaker 1: he just had twin daughters in decembol. Yeah. I don't
- 20:13Speaker 1: need that. But you know, bank account though. Yeah, but
- 20:18Speaker 1: that ain't bill. You know, I have famore kids. We
- 20:21Speaker 1: just hate. Yeah, Terence Jay just signed a deal with him.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I don't have the film and TV production company. Okay,
- 20:30Speaker 1: that's good, That's really good. That's congratulations. Sorry June. All right, man,
- 20:39Speaker 1: that was the last one. Well, Junior, I'm gonna let
- 20:42Speaker 1: you ask me when we come back for going for you,
- 20:46Speaker 1: all right, And nephews also coming up with run that
- 20:48Speaker 1: frank back right. I just said that ship you're listening
- 20:58Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, entertaining in
- 21:00Speaker 1: national news. Also, we're gonna get into nephew time he's
- 21:04Speaker 1: run that prank back. Damn shaw. Gonna be crazy because
- 21:08Speaker 1: it's knee almost on the floor and the rest of
- 21:10Speaker 1: him is in U. It is time what you got.
- 21:19Speaker 1: God may not be through with you, but we are.
- 21:25Speaker 1: That's crazy. That that that that's it. God may not
- 21:29Speaker 1: be through with you. I admit that, but guess what
- 21:32Speaker 1: we are? We through witch. Yeah, it's cubicle. So I
- 21:40Speaker 1: can tell your as God may not be through with you,
- 21:47Speaker 1: but we are. Let me step out the cubicle. I

- 21:57Speaker 1: Let's go cat doc. Hello, I'm trying to reach our
- 22:01Speaker 1: sister Takara. This is Brother Brinkley from the church. How

- 22:11Speaker 1: Can I call you back? Well? This is this is
- 22:15Speaker 1: kind of urgent. I call your your house phone and
- 22:19Speaker 1: I didn't get an answer, and I had this other
- 22:21Speaker 1: number on file, so I wanted to reach out to you.
- 22:23Speaker 1: But what I won't take long. But it really is
- 22:25Speaker 1: an art. All right, Well, from that urgent matter, if

- 22:46Speaker 1: church in twenty twenty. You know, I hate to be
- 22:49Speaker 1: the one to bring you some bad news. Let me
- 22:53Speaker 1: just start by by saying this. God might not be
- 22:56Speaker 1: through with you, but we are here at the church.

- 23:06Speaker 1: you you might come once once out of a month.
- 23:09Speaker 1: You're not tithing as we expected. You know, the church
- 23:13Speaker 1: can't really depend on you. Um, it's you you got
- 23:16Speaker 1: you know, you bring your kids. I think your brother
- 23:18Speaker 1: comes to the church, but everybody is coming every now
- 23:22Speaker 1: when then we cannot depend on you all to be
- 23:25Speaker 1: the members and have the expectation of what we're trying
- 23:28Speaker 1: to hold. Hold hold you say, you say your name
- 23:32Speaker 1: is yes, and you work, you work under the Dacian.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I've never heard of you before. I have

- 23:48Speaker 1: and looking at all of the numbers of the of
- 23:50Speaker 1: the members of the church, the directory, and we're noticing
- 23:54Speaker 1: what people are pan Tide, what people aren't pan Tide,
- 23:56Speaker 1: who's coming to church, who's participating in different in different

- 24:36Speaker 1: you know, I mean I have two jobs. Sometimes I don't.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I mean, I still pray. I don't understand how a
- 24:44Speaker 1: church can are you y'all stir you got two jobs,

- 24:53Speaker 1: can't afford you Just you just said I got two jobs.
- 24:57Speaker 1: That's what you just said and that those two jobs
- 24:59Speaker 1: are in support my kids. I mean, I can't support
- 25:02Speaker 1: the church and my kids is the same term. I
- 25:04Speaker 1: can't do both. I mean I give when I can.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Let me ask you something. What are you making on
- 25:10Speaker 1: that other job? Are you serious? Are you really? You? Really? You? Really?
- 25:15Speaker 1: As I didn't know the church? God? Is this deep
- 25:20Speaker 1: with you really asking me how much I make and
- 25:23Speaker 1: my fucking y'all that I hate to support my kids?
- 25:27Speaker 1: Come on, now? Did this gotta be something? This is
- 25:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this to you again. God may not
- 25:33Speaker 1: be through with you, but we are. You are gonna
- 25:38Speaker 1: pay your tithes. If you're not gonna come to work
- 25:41Speaker 1: on a consistent basis, then what what do you benefit?
- 25:46Speaker 1: The church? Is that what the church is about? This
- 25:48Speaker 1: can't be. I'm gonna say this. I'm gonna say this
- 25:51Speaker 1: to you. You Let me tell you what the church
- 25:54Speaker 1: is all about? The church. Hey, and you say, we
- 25:57Speaker 1: go with you again one more time? I'm serious? Is no,
- 26:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you this. You're talking about this, that
- 26:02Speaker 1: what the church is about. Let me tell you what
- 26:04Speaker 1: the church is. The church is a hospital for cripple souls.
- 26:09Speaker 1: You understand it. That's what Okay, that's what the church is.
- 26:12Speaker 1: But when when we have the souls that are coming
- 26:15Speaker 1: in to be saved, we are doing our job. And
- 26:20Speaker 1: guess what those people that are coming and you know
- 26:22Speaker 1: what they're doing. They're tithing. That's what they're doing. They're tithing.
- 26:26Speaker 1: You said the Dakara. I'm sure your soul it's crippled.
- 26:30Speaker 1: You're not coming and you're not tithing. You may give
- 26:33Speaker 1: us a little some something when you show up. If
- 26:36Speaker 1: you show up, Am I right a wrong? Okay? Hold up,
- 26:40Speaker 1: let me get worth the straight. This is what you
- 26:43Speaker 1: call me for in the middle of my work day
- 26:46Speaker 1: to tell me that you're kicking me out the church
- 26:49Speaker 1: because I don't give enough money to the church while
- 26:53Speaker 1: I'm at my job that I can barely afford to
- 26:57Speaker 1: pay my bills. With that of fact, I want know
- 27:00Speaker 1: who you are. I've never met you in my life,
- 27:03Speaker 1: and I don't you know what this church? You know?
- 27:06Speaker 1: This church. I hate to say it, but if that's
- 27:08Speaker 1: what the church is about, you had the nerve to
- 27:11Speaker 1: call me sho okay na na, na na. Let me
- 27:18Speaker 1: say something now you're being very unchristian like. Nah. So
- 27:23Speaker 1: the car you're gonna watch you John and your language him,
- 27:25Speaker 1: this is not Christian life. Well, well do you do

- 27:38Speaker 1: Really my brother? So so what is this about? M
- 27:42Speaker 1: brother whatever? I don't know. What is your name? My
- 27:46Speaker 1: name is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Your brother Duwayne got me to prank phone call you. No,
- 28:02Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, yo, he's about to get me fire
- 28:04Speaker 1: you from this job. I'm in the lobby screaming up.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Thanks for looking at me. Oh my harsh you are right? Yeah,
- 28:14Speaker 1: what's up? No? No, normal, Oh my gosh, that's oh
- 28:23Speaker 1: my god. My heart is racing. Tell me that's the car.
- 28:27Speaker 1: What is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
- 28:30Speaker 1: show in the land, Steve Harvey. God may not be
- 28:35Speaker 1: through with you, but we are. That's how we're doing it. Baby,
- 28:42Speaker 1: stupid coming Montgomery, baby the Gump on the fourteenth of Marche,
- 28:46Speaker 1: the fourteenth of Marche that Montgomery Performing Art Center tickets
- 28:49Speaker 1: on't stay right now? All right, God may not be

- 28:57Speaker 1: on the fourteenth and Montgomery aal about all right, nephew,
- 29:01Speaker 1: thank you coming up from the top of the hour.
- 29:03Speaker 1: We have some entertainment and national news right after this.
- 29:07Speaker 1: You're listening to show well. Yesterday, Vanessa Bryant changed her
- 29:16Speaker 1: profile image on her official Instagram account. She changed it
- 29:20Speaker 1: to a picture of Kobe and Gigi. In the picture,
- 29:23Speaker 1: Kobe is embracing Gigi, She's got her arm on his shoulder,
- 29:27Speaker 1: and he's lovingly gazing down. And that picture is from
- 29:31Speaker 1: the twenty sixteen NBA All Star Game in Toronto. Vanessa
- 29:36Speaker 1: also posted a touching message on Instagram yesterday. I'll read
- 29:40Speaker 1: some of it, she said. My girls and I want
- 29:43Speaker 1: to thank the millions of people who've shown support and
- 29:46Speaker 1: love during this horrific time. Thank you for all the prayers.
- 29:50Speaker 1: We definitely need them. We are completely devastated by the
- 29:54Speaker 1: sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe, the amazing father
- 29:58Speaker 1: of our children, and my beautiful sweet Gianna, a loving,
- 30:02Speaker 1: thoughtful and wonderful daughter and amazing sister to Natalia, Bianca
- 30:07Speaker 1: and Capri. We are also devastated for the families who
- 30:10Speaker 1: lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share in
- 30:14Speaker 1: their grief. Intimately, we aren't. There aren't enough words to
- 30:18Speaker 1: describe our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing
- 30:21Speaker 1: that Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so
- 30:24Speaker 1: deeply loved. We are so incredibly blessed to have them
- 30:28Speaker 1: in our lives. I wish they were here with us forever.
- 30:31Speaker 1: They were our beautiful blessings, taking from taken from us
- 30:35Speaker 1: too soon. Wow, you know, I mean, you just feel
- 30:42Speaker 1: her so much. You know, I don't even know how to.
- 30:48Speaker 1: You know, this woman's strength that is required of her
- 30:54Speaker 1: and these kids is something that's like abnormal. I mean,
- 31:04Speaker 1: it's it's almost superhuman strength that's required at a time
- 31:07Speaker 1: like this. And hopefully she has a great support system
- 31:10Speaker 1: in According to these words right here, it sounds like
- 31:14Speaker 1: it because you've got to have a a lot of
- 31:17Speaker 1: people man have are coming to sit with her and
- 31:23Speaker 1: check and pick the baby up and take You got
- 31:26Speaker 1: to take a lot of little menial task off people
- 31:29Speaker 1: at this point because the little stuff. You know, you
- 31:33Speaker 1: hear the saying don't sweat the little stuff at this
- 31:36Speaker 1: point in time, you you you can't have little stuff
- 31:40Speaker 1: on you because the day to day, Yeah, you need
- 31:44Speaker 1: every ounce of everything that's in you just to cope. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:51Speaker 1: that's it's just phenomenal that this is even happening for
- 31:56Speaker 1: her to issue any type of statement at this time,
- 31:59Speaker 1: it's just amazing. I those amazing strength. Yeah, you know,
- 32:04Speaker 1: she's got a for them, and she's probably oh my god,
- 32:08Speaker 1: you're just yeah. So you know, to the prayer warriors
- 32:13Speaker 1: out there, and we know you're out there, please keep
- 32:15Speaker 1: Vanessa Brant and the entire Bryant family in your prayers.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Also the other families who lost their lives in that
- 32:24Speaker 1: horrific crash. Yeah. Snoop Dogg, Justin Bieber, and Meek Mill
- 32:30Speaker 1: are among those who are calling for the NBA to
- 32:32Speaker 1: change their logo to feature Kobe silhouette. That is actually happening.
- 32:37Speaker 1: The current logo features a silhouette of Jerry West, another
- 32:40Speaker 1: Laker's great who described himself as a surrogate father to Kobe.
- 32:46Speaker 1: An organ petition is well on its way to having
- 32:49Speaker 1: three million signatures, so they're not playing around, you know
- 32:54Speaker 1: with the request to change the logo. Yeah. And now
- 32:57Speaker 1: right now they're trying to find some place in LA
- 33:00Speaker 1: to hold a memorial service for Kobe because they say
- 33:03Speaker 1: they're expecting hundreds of thousands of people to show up.
- 33:08Speaker 1: All right, all right, they were looking at the Colosseum,
- 33:10Speaker 1: the coliseum, yes, the actual stadium, and then outside as well,
- 33:16Speaker 1: because that can hold a lot more people. Yeah, all right, Steve.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Time now for today's headlines. Ladies and gentlemen, Miss Anne Tripp,
- 33:24Speaker 1: thank you very much, everybody. This is a trip with
- 33:26Speaker 1: the news, and there is a lot of it these days.
- 33:28Speaker 1: President Trump signed his revamped version of the North American
- 33:31Speaker 1: Free Trade Agreement yesterday. He said it was the fulfillment
- 33:34Speaker 1: of a campaign promise. This is a colossal victory for
- 33:37Speaker 1: our farmers, ranchers, energy workers, factory workers, and American workers
- 33:43Speaker 1: in all fifty states. And you can almost say beyond
- 33:47Speaker 1: because it's all beyond. This is all over the world,
- 33:50Speaker 1: even though it's at one beautiful border. Trump's calling in
- 33:54Speaker 1: a momentous, historic, and joyous occasion. While experts say the
- 33:57Speaker 1: difference between the original after agreement and the written one
- 34:00Speaker 1: that Trump wanted actually is minimal. Minimal, however, is not
- 34:04Speaker 1: the way Trump sees what's going on in Capitol Hill, apparently,
- 34:07Speaker 1: where he's hoping that Republican senators hold a line against
- 34:10Speaker 1: Democrats and refuse to impeach him. Maybe I'm being just
- 34:13Speaker 1: nice to him because I want their vote. Does that
- 34:15Speaker 1: make sense. I don't want to leave anybody out. Hey, Congressman,
- 34:20Speaker 1: I already got your vote, one six to nothing. The
- 34:23Speaker 1: hell with you, Yeah, President saying that senators were going
- 34:27Speaker 1: to continue submitting written questions for each other today and
- 34:30Speaker 1: in a day or two, maybe just tomorrow, vote on
- 34:33Speaker 1: whether to allow new testimony to represent it in a
- 34:35Speaker 1: Trump's impeachment trial. That's something the president does not want.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Authorities investigating the helicopter crash to kill Kobe Bryant's daughter
- 34:43Speaker 1: and seven others say the coptor was not equipped with
- 34:46Speaker 1: something called a crash warning device because one wasn't required,
- 34:50Speaker 1: Officials say, though it's not clear as to whether having
- 34:52Speaker 1: one would have saved lives, but they say there wasn't
- 34:55Speaker 1: one on there. We have a spokesperson for the National
- 34:57Speaker 1: Transportation Safety Boards saying that we's helicopters slammed into a
- 35:01Speaker 1: foggy hillside after a minute long high speed drop. There's
- 35:06Speaker 1: no firm word as to whether the pilot was in
- 35:07Speaker 1: control of the copter at that time. More than two
- 35:10Speaker 1: hundred Americans have now been evacuated from Muhan, China, the
- 35:14Speaker 1: epicenter of that coronavirus outbreak, flown to southern California, where
- 35:18Speaker 1: they're being screened and temporarily quarantine. So far, the coronavirus
- 35:22Speaker 1: has sixon thousands in more than ten countries, and now American, Delta, United,
- 35:27Speaker 1: British Airways, Lion AIRA many have all announced canceled flights
- 35:31Speaker 1: in and out of China for at least the rest
- 35:33Speaker 1: of this month and maybe February. Courting to BuzzFeed News,
- 35:36Speaker 1: Sociated Press says that a black cop in Maryland shot
- 35:39Speaker 1: and killed a man who was sitting inside his police
- 35:41Speaker 1: cruiser with his arms handcuffed behind his back. That cop
- 35:44Speaker 1: has been charged shooting not caught on body camera, but
- 35:47Speaker 1: the victim was African American. Also, students at Ball State
- 35:51Speaker 1: in Indiana walked out of class early this week to
- 35:54Speaker 1: protest the professor who actually called the police on a
- 35:56Speaker 1: black student who simply didn't want to change his seat
- 35:58Speaker 1: from where he was. And of course, Kobe Bryant, you
- 36:00Speaker 1: know one an Oscar. He's going to be in the
- 36:02Speaker 1: memorial part of this year's Oscars ceremony for his short
- 36:05Speaker 1: and tight toun title to Dear Basketball. Now back to
- 36:09Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show, Yogatti
- 36:14Speaker 1: and jay Z's Rock Nation are continuing to put pressure
- 36:18Speaker 1: on Mississippi officials to address the deplorable conditions of the
- 36:22Speaker 1: state's prisons. We talked about this story a couple of
- 36:24Speaker 1: weeks ago. Rock Nations Social Justice Armed Team Rock recently
- 36:29Speaker 1: shared footage showing just how bad things are in the
- 36:32Speaker 1: state pen. Videos and pictures taken by inmates show filthy
- 36:37Speaker 1: facilities and unchecked violence, including a knife fight between two inmates.
- 36:41Speaker 1: In response, the Governor of Mississippi, Tate Reeves, as vowed
- 36:45Speaker 1: to shut down the Parchment Farms unit of the prison. Still,
- 36:48Speaker 1: it's unclear of Reeves fully comprehends the situation, considering it
- 36:53Speaker 1: was only a few days ago that he was trying
- 36:55Speaker 1: to blame possession of contraband cell phones for the recent violence.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Team Rock Nation and its attorneys aren't just trying to
- 37:02Speaker 1: shine a spotlight on the situation. Tim Rock has contacted
- 37:06Speaker 1: the Department of Justice and they want protective orders to
- 37:09Speaker 1: keep inmates safe. That's so interesting that miss Mississippi Governor
- 37:14Speaker 1: Tate Reads blames the murders and deaths at Parchment on
- 37:18Speaker 1: inmates with cell phones. Our response to that is, had
- 37:22Speaker 1: it not been for the inmates with the cell phones,
- 37:24Speaker 1: no one would even know the conditions of the prison. Okay, yeah,
- 37:31Speaker 1: well I agree with that. So his response is if
- 37:37Speaker 1: they didn't have illegal cell phones, no one would know
- 37:40Speaker 1: the conditions that he's blaming the murders and the deaths
- 37:44Speaker 1: on the inmates with the cell phones. That's why ain't
- 37:47Speaker 1: doing Yeah, yeah, that's what it's saying, sir. Sir. First
- 37:53Speaker 1: of all, let me help you understand something about the
- 37:57Speaker 1: judicial system. You cannot a cell phone in without your
- 38:01Speaker 1: guard's help. True, your guards are making money by bring
- 38:06Speaker 1: You can't bring a cell phone in without the guard's help.
- 38:11Speaker 1: So your guards know that they can make money by
- 38:15Speaker 1: bringing in the phones. They do all of that for
- 38:18Speaker 1: money themselves. It's supplying demand. So for you to dump
- 38:24Speaker 1: that on the inmates, the inmates can't get it without
- 38:26Speaker 1: your guards, Pardner. The inmates go nowhere to buy phones,
- 38:32Speaker 1: but no one wouldn't know that if you didn't have
- 38:35Speaker 1: the phones. So White y'all wouldn't even be talking to
- 38:39Speaker 1: us if they didn't have the ability to film it.
- 38:42Speaker 1: What he's the governor. Hey, the governor, that's your statement,
- 38:51Speaker 1: all right? Coming up with thirty four minutes after the
- 38:54Speaker 1: hour Popeyes, they may have to get information, all right,
- 38:58Speaker 1: Let's just put it like that and we'll tell you
- 39:00Speaker 1: why right after this. You're listening too. Now, we all
- 39:06Speaker 1: know Beyonce loves her some Popeyes Chicken. We all know this.
- 39:11Speaker 1: She's expressed her love for many, many years about Popeyes. However,
- 39:15Speaker 1: Popeyees just unveiled new employee uniforms which are really cute
- 39:19Speaker 1: and they look very much like Queen Bee's new Adida's
- 39:23Speaker 1: Ivy Park active wear. Okay, you know she just launched
- 39:27Speaker 1: her new collection. Popeyes released a picture with the caption
- 39:33Speaker 1: nothing new here, just the uniforms we wear every day.
- 39:36Speaker 1: It also includes a link to its online store where
- 39:39Speaker 1: fans can buy the items from its fashionable uniform lineup,
- 39:43Speaker 1: which includes the tagline that look from Popeyes. What they
- 39:49Speaker 1: s outfits that look from Number two Dog Spicy Oh
- 39:56Speaker 1: and then warm up over the sale, Yeah from Popeye.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Now this is according to TMZ Beyonce, it kind of
- 40:06Speaker 1: choose Popeye's colors for the new Ivy Park designs. What
- 40:09Speaker 1: is it maroon? And kind of like a maroon yellow. Yeah,
- 40:15Speaker 1: but then again, Popeye's sure seems to have swiped her style.
- 40:18Speaker 1: You know, Wow, I'm not fitting to walk around looking
- 40:23Speaker 1: like I work in popet. Ivy stuff is fly, The
- 40:30Speaker 1: ivory stuff may very well be. I've seen so I
- 40:33Speaker 1: think it's hot. It is. It's close though, it's close yet. Yeah,
- 40:46Speaker 1: So steam Chicken, the chicken sandwich Tommy may have one
- 40:51Speaker 1: big in twenty nineteen, but the chicken wing will still
- 40:54Speaker 1: reign supreme over the big game in twenty twenty. Don't
- 40:58Speaker 1: forget the National Chicken can. No matter where that wind
- 41:01Speaker 1: came from, No matter where that wind come from, it
- 41:05Speaker 1: don't matter. The National Chicken Council released its annual Chicken
- 41:09Speaker 1: Wing Report, projecting Americans to consume a record breaking one
- 41:13Speaker 1: point four billion with a bee chicken wings during this
- 41:17Speaker 1: Sunday for Super Bowl fifty four. They need a pitch
- 41:19Speaker 1: to this council. I need to see the national Where what?
- 41:26Speaker 1: Where is all? D damn chicken though? Who are you
- 41:29Speaker 1: upset about? There's too much chicken news. Every time I
- 41:32Speaker 1: turn around, it's Chicken fil A got something to say?
- 41:35Speaker 1: Didn you turn around again? And then here come here
- 41:37Speaker 1: come Pope. Bye. They come back with your most chicken

- 42:28Speaker 1: The world doesn't have to know about it. Huh. We've
- 42:32Speaker 1: been in Chicken all the time, and all of a
- 42:33Speaker 1: sudden Chicken popular as halee, Like, we ain't been making
- 42:43Speaker 1: fried chicken sandwich. Well, the commercial the new commercials on

- 54:13Speaker 1: is Strawberry letter, Thank you, nephew. Subject to my husband
- 54:17Speaker 1: is scared of his family. Dear Stephen, surely, I've been
- 54:20Speaker 1: married to a wonderful man for almost three years. It's
- 54:23Speaker 1: his second marriage and my first. Everything is fine with us,
- 54:28Speaker 1: except the fact that his mom and his aunts don't
- 54:30Speaker 1: like me. My husband has never tried to fix this
- 54:33Speaker 1: problem because I think he's scared of the women and
- 54:36Speaker 1: his family. Recently, things got out of hand and my
- 54:39Speaker 1: feelings were hurt. Here's what happened. His mom had a
- 54:42Speaker 1: sixtieth birthday party and I didn't want to go, but
- 54:46Speaker 1: my husband insisted that I go. When we got to
- 54:49Speaker 1: the party, his mother gave me a fake smile and
- 54:52Speaker 1: barely spoke. His aunts avoided me, so they wouldn't have
- 54:56Speaker 1: to speak to me. My husband and I sat with
- 54:58Speaker 1: his family, and they only talked to him the whole time.
- 55:03Speaker 1: I was not at all surprised to see his ex
- 55:05Speaker 1: wife and daughter there seated at the table right next
- 55:08Speaker 1: to us. His mother spoke to him but ignored me.
- 55:12Speaker 1: His daughter spoke to him but ignored me. His ex
- 55:15Speaker 1: wife didn't speak to either of us. I told him
- 55:18Speaker 1: that I will not be ignored by a child, and
- 55:21Speaker 1: I was uncomfortable and ready to leave. He said I
- 55:24Speaker 1: couldn't go because it would cause unnecessary drama. Then this big,
- 55:28Speaker 1: burly aunt Anne stood up to give a toast. She
- 55:32Speaker 1: thanked the family for coming, and she turned to my
- 55:34Speaker 1: husband's ex wife and told her that she will always
- 55:38Speaker 1: be an important part of their family. At that point,
- 55:42Speaker 1: I walked out. My husband came behind me and I
- 55:46Speaker 1: made him take me home. We fussed and cussed all
- 55:49Speaker 1: the way home, and he said that he can't go
- 55:52Speaker 1: against his family, and I knew they didn't like me
- 55:55Speaker 1: when we got married. We're not speaking and I want
- 55:58Speaker 1: to go upside his head. Every time I think of
- 56:01Speaker 1: what he said to me. I want to cus his out.
- 56:03Speaker 1: His aunt out too. Did I handle this all wrong?
- 56:07Speaker 1: How can we fix things so that this doesn't keep
- 56:10Speaker 1: affecting our marriage? Please help? Wow? All right, we meaning
- 56:16Speaker 1: you and him, don't need to fix anything. Okay, he
- 56:19Speaker 1: needs to fix this. This is his rude, ignorant family.
- 56:23Speaker 1: And with marriage, you know, he's supposed to stick with
- 56:26Speaker 1: and support you. You are his wife, leave and cleave,
- 56:30Speaker 1: that's what he's supposed to do. I mean, if I
- 56:33Speaker 1: were you, I probably wouldn't go to another family outing
- 56:35Speaker 1: or event that they had until he has a family
- 56:38Speaker 1: meeting and tells them to stop disrespecting you. I mean,
- 56:42Speaker 1: you called him a wonderful man, wonderful man in the
- 56:44Speaker 1: opening line of your letter, and that's what a wonderful
- 56:48Speaker 1: man would do. He would talk to his family, find
- 56:50Speaker 1: out what the problem is, and try to resolve it
- 56:53Speaker 1: so you would be comfortable. I'm sure though, that you
- 56:58Speaker 1: left out a good poor and of the details in
- 57:01Speaker 1: this letter, like why he got divorced. You know, what
- 57:04Speaker 1: was that all about? How you guys met, Why his
- 57:08Speaker 1: folks don't like you? Because he said you knew they
- 57:11Speaker 1: didn't like you when you guys got married. So I
- 57:14Speaker 1: think there's more to this story. I think that information
- 57:17Speaker 1: would be really helpful in this situation. Do they just
- 57:22Speaker 1: not like you or is there a reason they don't
- 57:25Speaker 1: like you. I'm not saying it's your fault, but you know,
- 57:28Speaker 1: we definitely need a little more information. Okay, but I
- 57:31Speaker 1: think you know he should check them about how they
- 57:34Speaker 1: treat you. I definitely think that, Steve, Well, I don't
- 57:42Speaker 1: know where to start with this best right here, Well,
- 57:47Speaker 1: you're definitely going to get ready to say something crazy.
- 57:50Speaker 1: I've been married to this wonderful man for three years,
- 57:53Speaker 1: his second marriage, my first. Everything fine would accept the
- 57:59Speaker 1: fact that his mama and it's fat ass hunch don't
- 58:03Speaker 1: like me. She didn't say that, she said big and bird.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I bet there is, though they caught me some of
- 58:11Speaker 1: the most evil people. And don't tell me you're fat
- 58:14Speaker 1: shaming and all that, cause I ain't. My husband has
- 58:18Speaker 1: never tried to fix this problem because I think he's
- 58:21Speaker 1: scared of the women in his family. I told you
- 58:23Speaker 1: they was big. I said that earlier, and then you say,
- 58:27Speaker 1: I think he's scared of Why you think he's scared
- 58:30Speaker 1: because of the size. Recently things got out of hand
- 58:34Speaker 1: and my feelings what hurt he was would happen his
- 58:37Speaker 1: mama had a sixtieth birthday, So I would just like
- 58:39Speaker 1: to say, as a sixty three old man, your mama
- 58:42Speaker 1: in law as younger than I am, and they throw
- 58:45Speaker 1: in parties and that's cool, but I don't have people
- 58:49Speaker 1: over the house and stuff like that no more. I
- 58:52Speaker 1: just stopped doing it. But anyway, they still doing it,
- 58:54Speaker 1: and I didn't. You didn't want to go, but your
- 58:56Speaker 1: husband insisted that I go. When we got to the party,
- 58:59Speaker 1: is mama gave me that fake smiling badly smoke spoke
- 59:03Speaker 1: his fat ass ans avoided me so they wouldn't have
- 59:06Speaker 1: to speak to me. Big people don't like big See,
- 59:10Speaker 1: big people don't like speaking to a lot of people
- 59:13Speaker 1: because it takes extra breaths and they're trying to save
- 59:17Speaker 1: all of them. Casey had to go up stair into
- 59:18Speaker 1: the bathroom. My husband, I said, with his family, and
- 59:24Speaker 1: they only talked to him the whole time. What y'all
- 59:29Speaker 1: ain't said, well, how are you doing? Helen? Or none
- 59:31Speaker 1: of that. Man, You're somebody fitn' get told to kiss something?
- 59:36Speaker 1: Just hold tight. I was not at all surprised to
- 59:39Speaker 1: see his ex wife and his daughter there. What hold on, Steve,
- 59:47Speaker 1: hold on, We'll have Part two of your response coming
- 59:51Speaker 1: up at twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry
- 59:54Speaker 1: Letter title, my husband is scared of his family will
- 59:57Speaker 1: be back right after this. You're listening, She's Steve Morning Show.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry Letters
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: subject my husband is scared of his family. Well, he
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: got a right to be. This his second marriage. You
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: say he's a wonderful man, but then you say, I
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: think he's scared of the woman is family that's called
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: his mommy and his fat air's areunch don't like you.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: Recently things got out of hand and my feelings was hurt.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: And here's what happened. His mammy, Steve had a six
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: un That's what this is. See, that's what you That's
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: what you called them when they're not listening. Your mammy
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: didn't speak. Hey, listen to me. She's gonna be too
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: many more mammies now, Your mammy, mammy, mammy, mammy, mammy, mammy, mammy.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: That's what that's what your wife trying to get under
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: your skin. Your mammy, mammy, mammy, My wife and my
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: mom ain't gonna beat your more. Mammy, mammy, mammy, mammy, mammy,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: that type of action. So they gave us snakes fakes

- 1:01:12Speaker 1: his family, and they only talked to him the entire time.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: Then here's where the letter take a turn for me.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: I wasn't at all surprised to see his ex wife
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: and his daughter there. They did this on purpose to you. Yeah,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: and the seton chard had all y'all sitting there together,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: right next to us. His daughter spoke to him but
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: ignored me. His ex wife didn't speak to either one
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: of us. She a real ex wife. She's speaking to
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: his ass all you and the letter got a little stupid.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: I told him I will not be ignored by a child.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: What that's no problem with that ignorant ass. Baby a minute,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: ain't nobody spoke to you since you've been after party?
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: Then you tell your husband I will not be ignored

- 1:02:31Speaker 1: You should have been uncomfortable, he said, I couldn't go
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: because he would cause unnecessary drama. I'm not sitting up
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: in this house all these fat ass people. Ain't nobody

- 1:03:49Speaker 1: made him take me home. We fussing, cussed all the
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: way home. He said he can't go against his family.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: You saw big barely ass on a stand up. I'm
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: that's just on the hand. Aunt Helen's big ass was
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: over there, ain't ain't Agnes this big ass was over there,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: Ain't Geraldine was in there, and ain't Bernard dead? Now
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: what you need to do is try to figure out
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: why he got an ex wife sitting at the table
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: that ain't speaking to him, and ain't nobody speaking to you.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Why does he have an ex wife because she have
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: run up into the same problem I think she did.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I want to go upside his head every time I
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: think of what he what he said to me. I
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: want to cuss his aunt out too, that I handled
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: this all wrong? Yes you did. How can we fix
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: things so this don't keep affecting our match? I can't
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: help you right there. I don't know what you to do.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: I want to get back to the question where you say,
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: did I handled this all wrong? I believe you did, Shirley.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: I want you to play the role very quickly. Now
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: you are the aunt at big barely aunt Anne, stand
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: up of the toast. Let's go all the way back
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: to me when his daughter spoke to him but ignored me. Hi, Daddy,
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Hi daddy. You don't see nobody else, Mamma, tell me
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: not to speak to her, just to speak to you
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: all the way. Lean your little uglass over here. Do
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: you see me? I'm not ugly, Daddy, You're not ugly.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Stop telling this baby she's cute. Listen to me, sweetheart.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: You are not cute, daddy. No, no, no, I don't
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: listen to me. That's who you look like. You look
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: just like you, dad, and on a girl. It ain't cute. Wow,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: get up, Helen, say something. Watch this then I swear

- 1:09:45Speaker 1: out who shot Goes. I think it's about three episodes,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: but we if we don't have three episodes left, we
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: got three suspects left. Okay, we got one episode and
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: three three suspects. So here we go on the Okay,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: I'm listening. You gotta hear this, you gotta hear this.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Update on this show. Consulimantate, who was played by Loren's Tate.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: We got to see what he did on the day
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: that Ghosts was shot, and I remember councilmant Tate was
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: very angry when he found out Ghosts basically backstabbed him
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: by joining his opponent's ticket for the race for the
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Governor's Racing York. Anyway, conslimant Tate was happy to help
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: the police get Ghosts, but it just wasn't working. So
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: the police was like, hey, they ain't gonna work like
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: that anyway. Ghosts called his boys to come up and
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: help him and kill ghost Who was ghost boys? Who
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: did you said? Ghost call his boys up to help
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: him kill Ghosts? Oh, I'm sorry, Conslimentate called his boys
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: to come on. What's going on? Now? Who was his boys? Well? She,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: first of all, letitary some Councilmantate ain't kill nobody cause
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: the Restate ain't never been a murderer in none of
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: his movies. Yes, yes, society movies, that real movie. Know
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: it was, yes that it wasn't up from nothing, that
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: the dog ass movie Badass Light. Now he didn't do it.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Go ahead, all right, who do you think? So there's
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: two guys that came up that Conslimentate call Coop is
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: one of the character's name and his son Harder. Who
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: do you think played Coop. This person is very close
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: to you now that see y'all don't understand see that
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Cedric the enter taintum ye know this. Don't watch all this,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: but I know all this is the shocker in the
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: next three episodes. The key to this whole thing is
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: his name is Ghosts. Yes, okay, you can't see ghost
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: for the third episode is over. Who who tell you
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: that said it ain't make it, said don't ever make
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: it to get killed because he got money. See, so
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: ghost ghost his ghosts. Why would he call him ghosts
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: if he wasn't gonna be no ghosts? And Councilman Tate
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: is not be no murderer, He's not. He wasn't there.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: He has an alibi, so no, he he was at
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: the police station. And Tasha Saint Patrick h that's who
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: you think it is. We're gonna watch. We're gonna figure
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: it out. But shout out to said he did his thing.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Coop did not make it, just like Steve said. And
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: we have to shout out to Lawrenz Tate, his real brother,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Lamar Tate. He played his brother on the show. And
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: that was some great acting going on between the two brothers.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: So councilman got him? Use that, don't confuse him with lamar.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Oh anybody nobody confusing man or kill All right, that's
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: your TV show update, reality update. You can hit me
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: up at lips by Carla. We'll be back at twenty
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: minutes after. Okay, you're listening, all right? So Steve, you
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: are down in Miami for the big super Bowl game,
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: for the big game. This is super Bowl fifty four.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: So what's your day? Like, what are you doing today? Well,
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: as soon as I get off the air, I got

- 1:14:44Speaker 1: down and get these jokes ready for Sady. Okay, now,
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: what's up? You're excited? Uh, you know, a little tense
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: because you know, you know, I like doing well as
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: a stand up so it's always a little you know,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: chance to live would have bit it. Booty picture? Huh
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: booty picture? Okay are you saying nowcause you and Steven
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: ain't gonna get into it on first take? Again, I
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: don't care you know he's augmented a vast person. He
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: don't go on he ain't on TV agreeing with Harlly. No, damn, yeah,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: you remember the last you told the last time what
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: I told him? He said, this first take, it ain't
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: just yo take. I love this first take, Partner, this
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: ain't just yo take. Like it. We'll be watching. We'll
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: be all right, one of the Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: and some trending news coming up at thirty three minutes
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: after the hour, right after this you're listening show. Well. Yesterday,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Vanessa Bryant changed her profile image on her official Instagram account.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: She changed it to a picture of Kobe and Gigi.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: In the picture, Kobe is embracing Gigi, She's got her
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: arm on his shoulder, and he's lovingly gazing down. And
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: that picture is from the twenty sixteen NBA All Star
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Game in Toronto. Vanessa also posted a touching message on
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Instagram yesterday. I'll read some of it, she said. My
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: girls and I want to thank the millions of people
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: who've shown support and love during this horrific time. Thank
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: you for all the prayers. We definitely need them. We
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: are completely devastated by the sudden loss of my adoring husband, Kobe,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: the amazing father of our children, and my beautiful sweet Gianna,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: a loving, thoughtful and wonderful daughter and amazing sister to Natalia,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Bianca and Capri. We are also devastated for the families
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: who lost their loved ones on Sunday, and we share
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: in their grief. Intimately, there are enough words to describe
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: our pain right now. I take comfort in knowing that
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Kobe and Gigi both knew that they were so deeply loved.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: We're so incredibly blessed to have them in our lives.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: I wish they were here with us forever. They were
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: our beautiful blessings, taking from taken from us too soon. Wow,
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: you know, I mean, you just feel her so much.
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: I don't even know how to you know this, This
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: woman's strength that is required of her and these kids
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: us something that's like abnormal. I mean, it's it's almost
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: superhuman strength that's required at a time like this. And
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: hopefully she has a great support system in According to
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: these words right here, it sounds like it because you've
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: got to have at a lot of people, man have
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: them are coming to sit with her and and check
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: and pick the baby up and take you got to
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: take a lot of little menial task off people at
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: this point because the little stuff. You know, you hear
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: the same, don't sweat the little stuff at this point
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: in time. You you you can't have little stuff on
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: you because the day to day, Yeah, you need every
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: ounce of everything that's in you just to cope. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: that's it's just phenomenal that this is even happening for
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: her to issue any type of statement at this time,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: it's just amazing, amazing, amazing strength. Yeah. Yeah, you know,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: she's got to up for them, and she's like, oh
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: my god, you just yeah, man. Um, So you know,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: to the prayer warriors out there, and we know you're
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: out there, please keep Vanessa Brant and the entire Bryant
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: family in your prayers. Also the other families who lost
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: their lives in that horrific crash. Yeah, coming up, our
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: last break of the day and some closing remarks from
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: after the hour, right after this you're listening to all right,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: So Steve, there was a journalist Lindsay Granger is her name?
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: Very just articulate, justum eloquent woman. She responded to another
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: young lady, Felicia Sonmez, who is a national political reporter
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: for the Washington Post, who tweeted some really nasty, derogatory
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: things about Kobe Bryant just a couple of hours after
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: everyone found out that he had passed away. Now, Lindsay Granger,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: the journalist, is on a talk show it's called The
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: Daily Beast Live, and we gotta take a listen to
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: what she has to what she had to say in
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: response to what this woman, Felicia's sons tweeted about Kobe,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: and Felicia's Sonmez, by the way, has been placed on
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: administrative leave. Take a listen to this. I'm looking at
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: the journalist Felicia, and she is somebody who has gone
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: through sexual assault herself, and she said that in the
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: Washington Post. She released an article a couple of years
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: ago detailing her experience. So, as a journalist, which is
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: not what we do. We are a talk show with
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: a brit And I was a journalist for ten years
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: prior to taking the shop. So as a journalist, it's
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: our job to objectively report the news. I know that
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: that would be tough of your someone who survived sexual assault.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: But when I'm looking at this story, she didn't give
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: the story any context. And she got upset that she
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: was being attacked on Twitter for tweeting a link that
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: basically was condemning Kobe's character and accusing him of rape.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: But I think her job as a journalist was to
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: put that in context. You have the responsibility and you
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: need to have the journalistic acumen to write the full story.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: Go to the Washington Post and say, this man is
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: a nuanced character. This man has a detailed, layered history
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: that we need to discuss. But don't just tweet that
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: out and be the political reporter for the Washington Post
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: and tweet that and leave it there, because you're leaving
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: yourself open to the attacks that you're now receiving. And
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: so whether or not she should be fired, you know,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: I think that she should be put on leave like
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: she was. I think it's inappropriate because we're in a
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: time where we don't know what journalism is anymore. We
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: have our president that attacks journalists, we have TMZ that
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: broke the news to Vanessa Bryant that her husband passed away.
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: You know, what are we doing now that we need
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: to look at ourselves, people who call themselves journalists. We
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: have journalists attacking a seven year old child which is
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: blue ivy, and we look at them calling out her characteristics.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: We need to do better all together as journalists. And
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: I look at this woman and I say, it was
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: your responsibility just to do better and give it more
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: time than two hours after the man passes away, to
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: say what you think about him, if it's negative, and
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: you know, don't hide behind somebody else's article. I stand
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: behind a journalist named Jillian Sheldon. She sat at that
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Kobe trial for six weeks. She followed it in Colorado,
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: in and out, stayed there, interviewed all the lawyers, interviewed
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: the woman who was accusing him, and she said, how
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: can we you someone's worst stay on this earth as
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: a referendum on their character in totality, And we can't
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: because just like Kobe, we all have flaws that we're
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: all layered individuals. And we've seen the story time and
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: time again too many times when it's a black man
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: and a white woman that's an accuser. When that's the
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: story and it goes down and he just goes and
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: gets convicted by the public jury and We've seen the
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: story too many times where women who are who have
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: been sexually assaulted cannot give their voice to the public
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: and give are not given the space they need to
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: share their story. So this is a complicated thing to
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: talk about. But I really think that as a journalist,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: if you're going to take that name, in that stance
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: and that dignity of a position, you should probably do
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: it properly and just try to tell the complicated story
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: with as much care as possible. And that goes for
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: everybody involved in this Kobe situation. Wow, who yet, I don't.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know how I could possibly follow
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: that with any information. I think she had it spot on.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: You know the thing of it now, since we're closing,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: journalists are really supposed to be fair and impartial, and
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: journalists are supposed to report the facts to us. But
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: two things have happened. First of all, we have social media,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: which is main focus now is no longer on truth
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: or facts, but on eyeballs and views and likes and comments,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: and the more clicks you can get, the more valuable
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: you can become. So now we have found a way
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: to monetize evilness. We have found a way to not
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: be truthful and make money off of it. We have
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: now found a way that you don't have to report
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: the facts as long as you report something and you
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: make it so interesting enough or is usually so dark enough,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: are so you know, exasperated and and and inflamed news
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: reports that it draws eyeballs. That's one thing. The second
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: thing that we have going on in this country is
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: that we now have a president who berates people in
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: the media, who applauds his staff when they put journalists
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: in their place for asking perfectly legal questions. So, now
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: from the top, for those of you who voted for Trump,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: for those of you who support Trump, who think that
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: he's great for this country, this was your vote that
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: has now allowed this type of behavior to act itself
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: out in the White House. That's your vote. Did that? Now?
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: I get tired of us turning around and somehow making
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: it our fault. Because he lost the general election, they
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: say upwards of four million votes, somewhere between three and
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: four million votes. He lost the popular vote, he won
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: the electoral so enough people turned out to vote to
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: keep him from being president. But because we have this
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: old archaic system called the electoral college, vote. He's the president.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: But this man who is in office, I ask people
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: who vote for him, would you want your child to
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: be him? That, combined with social media, have the climate
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: that that woman is talking about where you can report
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: the news without telling the family first. And how this
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: woman feels like because it was a black man's crime
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: against a white woman, that she can breaate his entire
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: life's work, and like God has not this thing called
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: grace and forgiveness that we've all partaken of in our
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: life and all of us will continue to have to
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: need it until the day we die. And that's created
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: this climate today. I think what the lady said was
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: spotal on right on system. Thank you for all Steve
