- 2:13Speaker 1: Man o man o man, I thank God for it.
- 2:17Speaker 1: I thank God for all he's done for me, for
- 2:21Speaker 1: all the little things that are often times failed to
- 2:25Speaker 1: thank him for that I take for granted for oh man, breathing,
- 2:33Speaker 1: you know, laughing, you know the fact that I can
- 2:40Speaker 1: enjoy myself. Man, I thank God for all of that,
- 2:45Speaker 1: all of those small things that I forget to think
- 2:49Speaker 1: that are so huge. I thank God for that. Yeah.
- 2:54Speaker 1: It ain't just the radio show, is that? But the
- 2:56Speaker 1: radio show is to trigger for me it kind of
- 2:59Speaker 1: uh kind of just kicks it all in for me.
- 3:03Speaker 1: You know, I was I was talking to the other day,
- 3:07Speaker 1: to a buddy of mine. We had gotten to this
- 3:11Speaker 1: conversation about God and and and in the conversation we
- 3:17Speaker 1: had narrowed it down and we were talking about changing
- 3:20Speaker 1: the way we are as people. You know that everybody
- 3:24Speaker 1: has to change. You know, nothing stays the same. Everybody changes.
- 3:29Speaker 1: And uh A lot of these changes can be for
- 3:32Speaker 1: the good, and a lot of them are just they
- 3:34Speaker 1: just come with time. You know. Sometimes it's aging that
- 3:37Speaker 1: changes us. But no matter how old you get, you
- 3:43Speaker 1: still have the ability to improve as a person. You
- 3:48Speaker 1: may not have the foot speed you used to have.
- 3:51Speaker 1: You may not be as agile as you used to be. Uh. You,
- 3:57Speaker 1: your energy level may not be what it used to be.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Your desire to do some of the things that you
- 4:04Speaker 1: used to do maybe gone. The thing that doesn't have
- 4:12Speaker 1: to change and will not change is you. You have
- 4:17Speaker 1: the ability to continue to grow as a person even
- 4:23Speaker 1: when father time and nature has taken its course and
- 4:30Speaker 1: you're done with the part of life where you're getting
- 4:32Speaker 1: taller or you're starting to get stronger. You know, I'm
- 4:37Speaker 1: not saying you can't strength train and all of that
- 4:40Speaker 1: because you can. But um, I'm just saying that the
- 4:44Speaker 1: the anatomy of the human body changes to the point
- 4:47Speaker 1: where some things don't, uh, you don't function the way
- 4:52Speaker 1: they're used to, you know, you know, as strong as
- 4:53Speaker 1: you used to be. We were talking about everybody can
- 4:59Speaker 1: change and everybody has uh the right to reinvent themselves
- 5:08Speaker 1: as they get older. And I equated it to jumping
- 5:14Speaker 1: out of an airplane. You know, there are some people
- 5:17Speaker 1: man who get to a certain point in the life
- 5:20Speaker 1: and they and they jump from the airplane is now
- 5:24Speaker 1: almost a stunt of some kind. It's almost like they
- 5:29Speaker 1: life and got out of control. You ever seen somebody
- 5:32Speaker 1: jump out of airplane and the parachute don't open, and
- 5:35Speaker 1: they lifestart and it seems like they started spinning and
- 5:38Speaker 1: tumbling and they can't get it together. And I've seen
- 5:40Speaker 1: some mid air rescues before. But then there are times
- 5:44Speaker 1: when you know when it hasn't worked. You know, you
- 5:47Speaker 1: jump out that airplane and and and and at first
- 5:50Speaker 1: it's fun. I've never skydive before, but I would imagine
- 5:55Speaker 1: when you first jump out of an airplane that they
- 5:58Speaker 1: people describe it as a a sense of being free.
- 6:02Speaker 1: And it's exhilarating when you first jump out the plane.
- 6:06Speaker 1: But if you pull that cord and nothing happens. I
- 6:10Speaker 1: never happened to me, But I can only imagine the
- 6:14Speaker 1: panic that's got to set in, because no matter how
- 6:18Speaker 1: fun it was a moment ago, the the flying over
- 6:22Speaker 1: to one another, the holding hands in the air, the breeze,
- 6:27Speaker 1: the descent of the feeling of all of a sudden,
- 6:32Speaker 1: if you reach for that cord and it's not not there,
- 6:35Speaker 1: you're suddenly spinning out of control. And that's what happens
- 6:39Speaker 1: in a lot of people's lives. When you first start
- 6:42Speaker 1: your life, you jump out the plane. You're free, you're young,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you ain't got nothing where about. But then you get
- 6:47Speaker 1: to a certain point in your life when you go, okay,
- 6:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna pull the cord now. And pulling the cord
- 6:54Speaker 1: is an important thing because here's the the analogy my
- 6:59Speaker 1: friend gave me. He said, man, use your mind like
- 7:04Speaker 1: a parachute. It works better when it's open. Well, see
- 7:10Speaker 1: what happens with a lot of people, is they in life.
- 7:13Speaker 1: They jump out the plane, and and and and they
- 7:18Speaker 1: and they having this free fall and it's fun for now,
- 7:22Speaker 1: but they get to a certain point in their life
- 7:24Speaker 1: where they got themselves in a situation, or they've had
- 7:27Speaker 1: a little bit too much fun a little bit too long,
- 7:30Speaker 1: or you know, they wasn't open to nothing and they
- 7:33Speaker 1: just did what they wanted to do, or they started
- 7:35Speaker 1: getting involved with drugs or drinking, or started running with
- 7:38Speaker 1: the wrong people. So you jump out the plane. At first,
- 7:41Speaker 1: your free falling is fun. But then after a minute, man,
- 7:44Speaker 1: something happens and they realize whoa, And they reached for
- 7:47Speaker 1: the chord, and the chord don't work. Well. Now you're
- 7:50Speaker 1: in the panic stricken situation. And my suggestion is what
- 7:53Speaker 1: I've learned from the analogy that my friends shared with me,
- 7:57Speaker 1: is that we all the sooner we can open our
- 7:59Speaker 1: minds and to God, the sooner we could develop that
- 8:03Speaker 1: relationship with him. It's like pulling the cord and opening
- 8:08Speaker 1: a parachute. If you open up your mind to God,
- 8:13Speaker 1: God is like a parachute. You know, God can slow
- 8:17Speaker 1: your descent. God can turn this out of control free
- 8:22Speaker 1: fall into a nice ride for you. See, that's what
- 8:27Speaker 1: happened to me. I was spinning out of control. I
- 8:32Speaker 1: had gotten myself into a point. Man, why I wasn't
- 8:36Speaker 1: doing real good. Oh y'all would look at me and think,
- 8:40Speaker 1: man Stevie Man, No, I wasn't doing real good. I
- 8:46Speaker 1: had spun out of control. I was. I was in
- 8:49Speaker 1: a free fall and I reached for the court, but
- 8:52Speaker 1: I was so far away the cord didn't open. Then
- 8:56Speaker 1: I went to him and I pulled the court. When
- 8:59Speaker 1: I went to God, I pulled the cord and open,
- 9:02Speaker 1: and he slowed my descent. And this is what I
- 9:06Speaker 1: just believe. I don't believe now that I aged as
- 9:09Speaker 1: fast as I was aging because I got that parachute open. Now,
- 9:13Speaker 1: you know, I take better care of myself eating, I
- 9:15Speaker 1: work out more. Now you know, Uh, I'm not out
- 9:19Speaker 1: of control. I have a direction now. Uh that whin
- 9:23Speaker 1: then got up under that parachute a little bit, you know,
- 9:26Speaker 1: And now I'm I'm I'm I'm going you know, I'm
- 9:28Speaker 1: still getting older, you know so, But the descent is
- 9:32Speaker 1: so slow now I'm able to enjoy the ride. I'm
- 9:35Speaker 1: I'm guiding my parachute over. Sometimes we go over to it,
- 9:39Speaker 1: to a vacation spot over here, we float back over
- 9:42Speaker 1: to it. But you know, I'm still getting old. I'm
- 9:45Speaker 1: still going going down and but the descent. Because I've
- 9:49Speaker 1: opened my mind to God, the parachute has slowed my descent.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And now I'm rocking back and forth. But I ain't
- 9:57Speaker 1: spending out of control no more. You I'm able to
- 10:01Speaker 1: enjoy the view now. You know, when you jump out
- 10:04Speaker 1: that plane and you and you pull that corder and
- 10:06Speaker 1: it don't work. You ain't looking at the view no more.
- 10:08Speaker 1: You're thinking of only one thing. How can I slow
- 10:11Speaker 1: this down? When now I'm able to enjoy the view.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I'm able to see all the beautiful things on the
- 10:17Speaker 1: horizon that God has for me. I'm able to see
- 10:20Speaker 1: all the beautiful things around me that He's provided for
- 10:24Speaker 1: me over these years. Because I've slowed my descent. I
- 10:28Speaker 1: used my mind like a parachute. It works better when
- 10:32Speaker 1: it's open. Open your mind to God, and so you
- 10:36Speaker 1: can see the view, so you can slow the descent,
- 10:40Speaker 1: so you can stop the out of control free fall
- 10:42Speaker 1: that you've been on, that you can get your life
- 10:45Speaker 1: together and see everything out on the horizon that God
- 10:48Speaker 1: has for you. You know, it turned out to be
- 10:50Speaker 1: a very true statement. Your mind, if you use it
- 10:53Speaker 1: like a parachute, it works better when it's open y'all
- 10:58Speaker 1: to show ladies and gentlemen. Boy, I'm goody keeping ladies,
- 11:13Speaker 1: girl welcome, didn't already started? Yeah, got on there. I'll
- 11:21Speaker 1: tell you what we're laughing at it Justice second, good morning, Hey,
- 11:25Speaker 1: good morning, Steve. What's happening keeping it one hundred? Coming
- 11:33Speaker 1: here Junior together? He needs I tell y'all what happened
- 11:50Speaker 1: talking before the show. Gun. Yeah, we were talking about
- 11:59Speaker 1: should black people will celebrate the Fourth of July? And
- 12:04Speaker 1: I remember on our street a lot of people on
- 12:07Speaker 1: the Fourth of July we had their flags out, a
- 12:09Speaker 1: little thing in front of their house. My daddy ain't
- 12:13Speaker 1: hand no flag. So herman Wilson. Daddy came down and
- 12:20Speaker 1: asked my father, because hard a lot of us have
- 12:23Speaker 1: flags up, why you don't got no flag? My daddy said,
- 12:29Speaker 1: why would I buy a flag? But I could buy
- 12:33Speaker 1: two more cases? So down I see the purpose or
- 12:46Speaker 1: no flag. Clearly, that's the cost of two cases of
- 12:52Speaker 1: man the man. That's why we got oh man, and
- 13:04Speaker 1: we're not gonna have one next year. Don't come up.
- 13:12Speaker 1: So that's what we were laughing. Yeah, you really have
- 13:17Speaker 1: to laugh like that though, to keep keep crying so
- 13:20Speaker 1: angry at what's going on in the world. You don't
- 13:24Speaker 1: really man, and it's and it's it's so crazy and
- 13:27Speaker 1: sad that we, as black people in two thousand and eighteen,
- 13:31Speaker 1: constantly have to deal with what's happening to people of color,
- 13:37Speaker 1: and the outrage is not the same from other people,
- 13:43Speaker 1: and it's never quite going to be the same outrage.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And I understand why because most people can't imagine that
- 13:52Speaker 1: this is even happening, and most people have no idea
- 13:57Speaker 1: what it feels like. You can't imagine what it would
- 14:00Speaker 1: feel like if it were happening to you, or even
- 14:03Speaker 1: to be black. Black is not a thinkable thought. They
- 14:09Speaker 1: have no idea. And I'm not asking anybody to do that.
- 14:15Speaker 1: That's not a thinkable thought. You can't even get too
- 14:18Speaker 1: much come with it, Yes, yes, yes, The prep class
- 14:22Speaker 1: for that would be the rest of your life. Everyone
- 14:26Speaker 1: would flunk out because they can't imagine that it really
- 14:30Speaker 1: is like it is. You die before you complete the court. Yeah, yeah,
- 14:37Speaker 1: something funny, inviting a date back to your home. We'll
- 14:40Speaker 1: talk about that at thirty two after you're listening to
- 14:44Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, it is
- 14:47Speaker 1: time for something funny. It's time for something funny. Um,
- 14:54Speaker 1: inviting a date Steve back to your home is certainly
- 14:57Speaker 1: a big step, you know, in the relationship, when you've
- 15:00Speaker 1: moved it on to that level. Uh. And as you
- 15:02Speaker 1: can imagine, there are definitely things that you can do
- 15:05Speaker 1: to make sure that visit leaves a lasting impression. And
- 15:08Speaker 1: I'm talking about in a good way. Okay. For example,
- 15:12Speaker 1: for men to go to a woman's home, uh, definite
- 15:16Speaker 1: turn ons include a nice smelling home. Everyone likes you know,
- 15:19Speaker 1: when you walk in the house smells good. Uh, you know,
- 15:23Speaker 1: books on display, things like that. Um. While for women
- 15:28Speaker 1: if you visit it, if we visit a man's house,
- 15:30Speaker 1: we again like a nice smelling home. Also, um, a
- 15:34Speaker 1: man having like family photos on display and even a
- 15:37Speaker 1: doormat before you even get inside the house. Um. So, Steve,
- 15:41Speaker 1: Tommy and Jr. I have to ask you what things
- 15:44Speaker 1: turn you on and turn you off when you visit
- 15:46Speaker 1: your dates home for the first time. Think back, guys,
- 15:50Speaker 1: that hair you're in the bathroom already, Yeah, I got
- 15:56Speaker 1: a bathroom. I see all that hair on this scene
- 16:00Speaker 1: gets on my nerves. But you don't want somebody leaving
- 16:03Speaker 1: the toilet seat down. Get this hat up from around
- 16:07Speaker 1: the sink. Come on, tell me what you got That
- 16:13Speaker 1: pregnancy test that's in the trash can right there. That's
- 16:17Speaker 1: kind of bothered me. You know what I'm meaning. I
- 16:21Speaker 1: goes in trash, medicine cabinets, I get in all that.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I want to know what's wrong with you? All right?
- 16:28Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, And I'm just thinking, you know, I
- 16:32Speaker 1: like a woman's house that's clean, thank you. That is
- 16:37Speaker 1: number one. In your house, be clean. If your house nasty,
- 16:43Speaker 1: and I'm over here for the first time and we're
- 16:45Speaker 1: looking at first impressions, My impression immediately is you nasty.
- 16:51Speaker 1: That's it. I mean, it's got to be. I mean,
- 16:54Speaker 1: if you ain't got no sense to put your best
- 16:56Speaker 1: foot forward on the first day. So I like a
- 16:59Speaker 1: woman's house who's first of all clean. Now, fellas, when
- 17:04Speaker 1: she come over your house, she has the right to
- 17:07Speaker 1: expect the same that your house is clear for breeze.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Get a came go through the for breeze. Had garbage smells? Yeah,
- 17:20Speaker 1: then you know me and have a tendency made men's
- 17:23Speaker 1: house a lot of times be a little stale because
- 17:26Speaker 1: men don't know, they don't know. You're right about that,
- 17:29Speaker 1: here's a suggestion I have for men. If you're gonna
- 17:32Speaker 1: have a woman over your house, how did you medicine
- 17:37Speaker 1: put it up? Don't You can't explain medicine. If you
- 17:43Speaker 1: got any medicine had it. I don't care if it's celebrates.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Most people don't know what that is. Excuse me? Sound
- 17:51Speaker 1: real close to you know, like v D anything started
- 17:57Speaker 1: with seller? Yeah, yeah, you gotta sell it lapse. Can
- 18:04Speaker 1: we say just have a clean, good smelling house. Can
- 18:08Speaker 1: we just say that you need to get to medicine
- 18:11Speaker 1: here because you can't explain this to people. That's out
- 18:14Speaker 1: of you because most medicine UK pronounced it anyway. No,
- 18:21Speaker 1: So what is this anatavia in your Yeah? That's that
- 18:25Speaker 1: sounds real. I don't know. No, damn ant the station?
- 18:28Speaker 1: I said anatavia? Oh that's yogurt activitia. It's in your medicine, Kevin.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Do you don't even know what it is? Because this
- 18:41Speaker 1: is crazy? Is you're taking testosterone? She she just saw it.
- 18:53Speaker 1: What is you taking testosterone? Is hanging up? She come
- 18:59Speaker 1: out and you'd about some Chinese remedy. She come out?
- 19:02Speaker 1: What is black cat? Steve didn't say though, that this
- 19:09Speaker 1: girl you were dating was so gorgeous, and you went
- 19:12Speaker 1: over her house and she had roaches or something. The
- 19:16Speaker 1: story about that story. But I did another one. One time.
- 19:21Speaker 1: I met this girl from Louisiana in college that was gorgeous.
- 19:25Speaker 1: I didn't know how to talk to him. My brother
- 19:27Speaker 1: helped me. Finally we went out. My brother sent me
- 19:32Speaker 1: a little bit of money. I had a little money.
- 19:33Speaker 1: It was a creole restaurant, and I let her order. Lord, man,
- 19:38Speaker 1: it's it's health of order, so much spicy food. I'm
- 19:42Speaker 1: just eating heads when I'm digging under my arm. I'm
- 19:49Speaker 1: in that man purse Bryan so hard. So I'm dropping
- 19:52Speaker 1: her off at her at her mama's house. Now my
- 19:58Speaker 1: stomach was cutting up. Oh but my mama always told
- 20:03Speaker 1: you when you got to go bathroom, just just going home. Yes, pat,
- 20:09Speaker 1: isn't nobody hose. But the girl said, my mama near
- 20:14Speaker 1: not home. Why don't you come on in for a
- 20:15Speaker 1: little while. I'm gonna say no, but you you got Bubba. God,
- 20:20Speaker 1: you got Bubba good though, Now did you? You ain't
- 20:22Speaker 1: still hurt? I heard what you say. I know why
- 20:25Speaker 1: you went in there. Find it hell, come on in.
- 20:28Speaker 1: And I just said, okay, let me just go on
- 20:29Speaker 1: there for a little while we're sitting on the couch
- 20:32Speaker 1: watch the TV. I can hear my stomach that is
- 20:36Speaker 1: just doing flips. So I said, excuse me, I can't
- 20:40Speaker 1: use the bathroom. She said, it's straight down the hallway.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Second though, on the left. I turned in that bath
- 20:49Speaker 1: room man and set out the Lord, how much hips
- 20:53Speaker 1: I'm talking about his Lord? And I was in that
- 20:56Speaker 1: grabbing hold to I told a tilet tis shall hold
- 21:00Speaker 1: off the wall. I have to tell you this story,
- 21:06Speaker 1: but I need about five minutes. But just no, right now,
- 21:10Speaker 1: we got to hear this ringing out a towel in
- 21:13Speaker 1: my hands and told the toilet tissue rack off. I'll
- 21:21Speaker 1: tell you the rest of Oh my goodness, Steve Ye,
- 21:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you what happened to me. All right, Uh,
- 21:30Speaker 1: we gotta we gotta do the prank when we come
- 21:32Speaker 1: back with the nephew. Uh. And we'll be right back
- 21:36Speaker 1: with run that prank back. You're listening Steve Show, all right.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour of Steve
- 21:44Speaker 1: will finish part two of his bubble Gut story and
- 21:49Speaker 1: not doing it a's because they asked me not to bump.
- 21:51Speaker 1: No Staples on the show, and this one right here
- 21:57Speaker 1: is as good as any day. But let's let you know,
- 21:59Speaker 1: it's good to wait sometimes too, you know, Cliffhanger, but
- 22:03Speaker 1: a plus, Miss Anna is going to be here with
- 22:04Speaker 1: our national news. But right now it's time for the
- 22:06Speaker 1: nephew to run that prank back. I love this one now,
- 22:11Speaker 1: wheending with Butcher. I love this wheending Butcher's right when
- 22:20Speaker 1: I'm getting married. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. When with Butcher,
- 22:24Speaker 1: that's not something we don't know what that is. Just
- 22:29Speaker 1: when people out here the wheat feel chopping it down,
- 22:32Speaker 1: it's called here there rent it. Hello, I'm trying to um,
- 22:41Speaker 1: trying to reach Alan. How you doing this? Butcher Man?
- 22:45Speaker 1: But yeah, you was? You was at the cook out
- 22:49Speaker 1: the other day with the family. I'm Christian's cuse okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:55Speaker 1: y'all was that you was at the cookouts of the day.
- 22:58Speaker 1: I wanted to reach out to you know, the wind
- 23:00Speaker 1: is in the next two weeks, right, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 23:06Speaker 1: you you're ready for that? Yeah? Okay, Well, hey man,
- 23:11Speaker 1: I got a little bit of a problem that you
- 23:14Speaker 1: know that we kind of wanted to call you about,
- 23:17Speaker 1: you know, because the family got together and he had
- 23:19Speaker 1: a little meeting like and what the deal is is
- 23:22Speaker 1: this hill? I know, I know you're excited to want
- 23:25Speaker 1: to marry my cousin and she kind of excited too
- 23:27Speaker 1: about the old thing. But you know, like the family members,

- 30:50Speaker 1: My brother told me how to get him, and he
- 30:52Speaker 1: gave me some money to take out. So I told
- 30:53Speaker 1: her pick a restaurant. She picked a creole restaurant. I'm seventeen.
- 30:57Speaker 1: I ain't had no creole food, so I'm mere I
- 31:01Speaker 1: go in there. She didn't order all this spicy stuff
- 31:04Speaker 1: there to faye, all this but spicy though. Yeah, yeah,
- 31:08Speaker 1: I'm eating stuff. Man ain't never been in my system before.
- 31:12Speaker 1: So I'm taking her home and my stomach is turning.
- 31:16Speaker 1: So we get into front of the house. I'm ana
- 31:19Speaker 1: walker to the door. She said, come on there for
- 31:21Speaker 1: a little while. My mama and I'm gone. My mama
- 31:25Speaker 1: had told me when your stomach just told up, try
- 31:27Speaker 1: to go home. Ye put that in nobody else house.
- 31:33Speaker 1: But she was so fine. I just said, well, man,
- 31:35Speaker 1: let me go in here for a little while, because
- 31:37Speaker 1: I what kind of man would I be? Fine, chick
- 31:40Speaker 1: invite you in, and mam and dad ain't there. Let
- 31:42Speaker 1: me least go on in here. Something stick. I mean, really, Shirley,
- 31:47Speaker 1: that's a girl, and man would have went in there
- 31:52Speaker 1: I'm sitting down on the couch. We're watching TV. My
- 31:54Speaker 1: stomach turning. I can hear so, I said, Can I
- 31:58Speaker 1: go to the bathroom? He said second, Oh, on the left.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I go in there, and Lord have mercy the walls
- 32:08Speaker 1: of Gibraltar. I hadn't grabbed the tie rack in front
- 32:17Speaker 1: of me to just try to hang on. I'm twisting
- 32:21Speaker 1: the guest tile in my head like I'm bringing it out.
- 32:25Speaker 1: I did knock the toilet tissue holder off the wall,
- 32:29Speaker 1: screws out everything I hadn't kicked over the trash. Can
- 32:33Speaker 1: you can hear this? Right? I don't get he wasn't
- 32:38Speaker 1: feeling what I was feeling. But I'm using the bathroom
- 32:42Speaker 1: so much that is alarming to me. I've actually put
- 32:50Speaker 1: mo in there that I've ever put in there in
- 32:53Speaker 1: my life. Briar too, I think I didn't know what
- 32:57Speaker 1: you don't stop my story, ship. This is for Junior
- 33:02Speaker 1: and time talking about. So I'm filling the bowl up,
- 33:05Speaker 1: so finally I'm done, to my relief, but I'm sweating
- 33:10Speaker 1: though I'm talking about. I'm in my shirt wide. I
- 33:16Speaker 1: hadn't put my whole shirt. It's wide over. I had
- 33:21Speaker 1: hung my past up on the back of the jug
- 33:24Speaker 1: because I used a bathroom like my daddy always hate
- 33:27Speaker 1: my pants and drawls up on the back of the Yeah,
- 33:33Speaker 1: that you don't ever use the bathroom. But I got
- 33:35Speaker 1: my shirt on, but I didn't open it up because
- 33:37Speaker 1: it's hot. I got just just water coming down out
- 33:41Speaker 1: the front. So I stand up and I flushed the toilet.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Now I'm putting my clothes on. But you know how
- 33:51Speaker 1: you're waiting to hear that sound that all I hear
- 33:59Speaker 1: is the world. And I turned around in the there's rising.
- 34:09Speaker 1: I'm asking God not to do this to me today.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I'm asking God, don't not today, Lord not in him
- 34:21Speaker 1: to have a Part three. This ain't the time for this, Lord,
- 34:27Speaker 1: stop this swirl from rising. Father never, oh God, Steve,
- 34:38Speaker 1: we have to go to miss Anne's. I will, but
- 34:41Speaker 1: Jesus stop this sworld. But insteady coming good Part two
- 34:49Speaker 1: right after this. Uh, I'm gonna let miss Anne just
- 34:53Speaker 1: go into it today. These are the news facts with
- 34:56Speaker 1: miss Anne. Thanks Steve. Okay, everybody, this is and up
- 35:00Speaker 1: with the news. First off, a woman who authorities say
- 35:02Speaker 1: opened fire at YouTube headquarters in California yesterday is dead
- 35:05Speaker 1: of a self inflicted wound. She's identified as thirty nine.
- 35:08Speaker 1: You will not seem adam for other people injured. A
- 35:11Speaker 1: thirty six year old man was listed in critical condition yesterday,
- 35:14Speaker 1: a thirty or year old woman in serious a twenty
- 35:17Speaker 1: seven year old woman listed in fair condition. A fourth
- 35:19Speaker 1: person treat and released with a minor ankle injury. The
- 35:22Speaker 1: incident took place at YouTube. Sam Bruno headquarters. Authority say
- 35:26Speaker 1: I've expressed hatred for YouTube because she believed her online
- 35:29Speaker 1: content and ideas are being suppressed by the way they
- 35:32Speaker 1: see her actions were not part of any terrorist attack.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Today marks the fifties versary of the assassination of the
- 35:37Speaker 1: Reverend Dr Martin Luther King. The Reverend Doctor Martin Luther
- 35:41Speaker 1: King Jr. Was assassinated on April four, ninety eight. The
- 35:46Speaker 1: Reverend Jesse Jackson was there. You've seen the picture with
- 35:50Speaker 1: Josea and rebend Abanett and I on the back of them.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I remember strange enough that the new support said that
- 35:56Speaker 1: the King arrived today and give the room number. It
- 35:59Speaker 1: just all the kind of stuf in my mind. He's
- 36:00Speaker 1: in Lorraine Motel and give the room number. We had
- 36:05Speaker 1: no way of knowing how much pain and death consideration.
- 36:11Speaker 1: He was internalizing how much more he knew than we
- 36:14Speaker 1: knew about the threats. We spent much of the day after,
- 36:21Speaker 1: around noontime in the room, about six coming across the courtway.
- 36:27Speaker 1: He came out first and turned right for a moment,
- 36:32Speaker 1: he said, jested on our way to dinner, and the
- 36:34Speaker 1: other things suggested you don't have one. You are time.
- 36:38Speaker 1: It's about the career records of eating is an appetite
- 36:40Speaker 1: and other times you're crazy, as he raised, I said, doc,
- 36:43Speaker 1: he said, doctor. The bullet hit at that instant, and
- 36:48Speaker 1: then everything changed. Before and after Monatha came. I've been
- 36:56Speaker 1: to the mountain top and I've seen the promised land.
- 36:59Speaker 1: They had to be that context of his feeling, the
- 37:03Speaker 1: sense of danger and croushing up on him. I'm not
- 37:09Speaker 1: I'm not afraid of been a man. My eyes have
- 37:12Speaker 1: seen you blowing to come out of the Lord. They
- 37:17Speaker 1: didn't have to kill him. It's not right. He didn't
- 37:21Speaker 1: have to kill him. I won't come back much this.
- 37:26Speaker 1: It's a lot to take. It's still a lot to take.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Kill him and trying their own pieces him away. This
- 37:39Speaker 1: is the banks to Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 37:43Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Here we are Steve Part
- 37:48Speaker 1: three story, Just catch up. I'm over his five girl
- 37:54Speaker 1: house stomach up in eight gree oh from seventeen. Should
- 37:58Speaker 1: have went home to use the bathroom, sat in the house. Fine,
- 38:02Speaker 1: Now I'm in here using the bathroom and all held
- 38:04Speaker 1: and broke loose. Here I'm in here, neck it, sitting
- 38:08Speaker 1: on the just my shirt on because I like to
- 38:11Speaker 1: ship wide. I like to be open and free, and
- 38:14Speaker 1: I need it because I had to brace myself a
- 38:16Speaker 1: couple of times. But she never came in there, not yet,
- 38:20Speaker 1: she coming. That's coming in the store. So I get up.
- 38:24Speaker 1: I finally get through. But I've noticed that I'm putting
- 38:27Speaker 1: more in the bowls and ever be so I'm a
- 38:29Speaker 1: little bit concerned with them. Sheer volume. So I flushed
- 38:34Speaker 1: the toilet as I'm putting my pants back up on me,
- 38:37Speaker 1: and I'm waiting to hear that. But I don't hear it.
- 38:41Speaker 1: And I look back. That's going in a slow circle.
- 38:48Speaker 1: So I go in. I go to my heavenly father. Here,
- 38:52Speaker 1: father dog boy, now long stop this rising time. Somebound
- 39:02Speaker 1: don't let the swirl get up by the top. But
- 39:05Speaker 1: he didn't hear me that day. I guess it wasn't lets.
- 39:09Speaker 1: The next thing I know, it's at the very top
- 39:12Speaker 1: of the tilet o my god, and it's about to
- 39:15Speaker 1: flow over. So now I don't know what to do.
- 39:21Speaker 1: So I looked down and it's a trash can. So
- 39:25Speaker 1: I dipped the trash can down in it up and
- 39:29Speaker 1: I got a trash can full of it. Yeah, so
- 39:32Speaker 1: I pulled a shower curtin back and throw it in
- 39:36Speaker 1: the bath too. When here comes some more. So I
- 39:43Speaker 1: had to take another trash can full of it and
- 39:46Speaker 1: throw another trash can in the bathtub, and here comes
- 39:50Speaker 1: some damn more. So now I realized they call it
- 39:54Speaker 1: is broke. They call it and bragged up and it
- 40:00Speaker 1: started going back down. You're working, I say, I gotta
- 40:04Speaker 1: get some water and put it in here. So I
- 40:07Speaker 1: started running water in the trash can to pour down
- 40:11Speaker 1: there and make the water go clean. So I finally
- 40:14Speaker 1: did that, and I said, thank you Lord. And I
- 40:18Speaker 1: looked over and the damn bathtub right shower c it's tight.
- 40:30Speaker 1: I look up, it's on the wall. Wait, wait, it's
- 40:34Speaker 1: on the wall. Fo Part four. This is this is R.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Kelly's in the closet and this is Steve Hollis in
- 40:43Speaker 1: the bathroom parts, Folks coming up right in the bathroom part. Folk,
- 40:51Speaker 1: it's on the walls, the shower curtain and the bath tub.
- 40:56Speaker 1: You're listening. I right, Steve, this is part four. What
- 41:01Speaker 1: a start folk, Steve trapped in the bath Kelly in
- 41:09Speaker 1: the close part. Folk, Yeah, I don't bailed out three
- 41:15Speaker 1: buckets trash hands a pure mess, then thrown it in
- 41:20Speaker 1: the shower so without get all of the water back
- 41:24Speaker 1: in the tilet where I got it upside in the
- 41:26Speaker 1: water clean, I said, okay, cool, I look over the
- 41:30Speaker 1: damn bathtub and striped. So now I cut skise, people
- 41:36Speaker 1: shower on and I'm washing down the walls, the shower
- 41:42Speaker 1: curtain with the shower. The girl comes up to the
- 41:45Speaker 1: girl because I've been in here now about for the
- 41:47Speaker 1: five minutes time, so she said, you O came down
- 41:53Speaker 1: everything fast. She said, it's like something wrong in that
- 42:06Speaker 1: to get away from the house. So I'm in there's
- 42:12Speaker 1: this too late. But I noticed they got a candle
- 42:15Speaker 1: in the bathroom. I light it. I like the candle,
- 42:19Speaker 1: start striking matches and running tapwater. That's when my mom
- 42:23Speaker 1: always told me strike some matches and run some tap
- 42:25Speaker 1: water and to help you get rid of older. So
- 42:28Speaker 1: I'm in there, but now I'm washing down shower, curtains, walls,
- 42:32Speaker 1: the bathtub, getting up stuff off the floor. Now now
- 42:37Speaker 1: you probably saying, Steve, what is you washing it down with? Ye?
- 42:42Speaker 1: No paper ties in there, but that tie rack that
- 42:45Speaker 1: I had grabbed when I first sat down and was
- 42:47Speaker 1: twisting it. They guest house, the pretty ones with the
- 42:52Speaker 1: lace in the Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what. I washed
- 42:59Speaker 1: it down with my good towel. That is tie is
- 43:03Speaker 1: brown because I can't risk it all wasn't when it started.
- 43:12Speaker 1: That was pain awful. Now the towers is running. I
- 43:15Speaker 1: don't wash all the walls down. Everything I'm in that
- 43:19Speaker 1: sweat has been on a construction site. I've been in
- 43:24Speaker 1: that total about damn near hour. So I pulled my
- 43:29Speaker 1: fasten my clothes, I look at the bathroom. I got
- 43:32Speaker 1: everything up, but I got this big nasty ass tie
- 43:36Speaker 1: and I don't know what to do with it. So
- 43:37Speaker 1: I take it, put it in the waste paper can
- 43:40Speaker 1: that I've been bailing with, and stuck all that under
- 43:43Speaker 1: the sink. I figured this ain't gonna be good. No
- 43:49Speaker 1: how Yeah, but at least when they come in here.
- 43:52Speaker 1: They's gonna take a moment, because I know when you're
- 43:55Speaker 1: going there, you're gonna have to say what they here happened?
- 44:00Speaker 1: I couldn't remember how the shower curtain was of none
- 44:02Speaker 1: of that, and I got I look, I'm taking I
- 44:05Speaker 1: got everything all. So I walked down in the hallway.
- 44:09Speaker 1: She's sitting on the couch with the attitude of folding
- 44:15Speaker 1: did She looked at me and she said, why are
- 44:16Speaker 1: you betting that so long? I had a little accident this,
- 44:20Speaker 1: She said, Oh my god, look at you. What was
- 44:24Speaker 1: I didn't realize when I was barely all that mess
- 44:32Speaker 1: into the shower, it was splashing on my pasts below
- 44:37Speaker 1: my knee. I ain't had time to look at this
- 44:41Speaker 1: because I'm from too busy cleaning up their damn house.
- 44:46Speaker 1: Now I looked down, it's just specks, splash marks from
- 44:52Speaker 1: my knee down my pass was tra I looked at huh.
- 44:58Speaker 1: She looked at me and she said, oh my god,
- 45:00Speaker 1: look at you. What have you been doing. I looked
- 45:05Speaker 1: at her, said you ain't got talk to me like that,
- 45:09Speaker 1: and walked up the sail, got in my car. Had
- 45:16Speaker 1: to ride home with all my wonders that because I spank,
- 45:21Speaker 1: I smell like sitting in that car. That girl saw
- 45:28Speaker 1: me on the campus next day and all her girlfriend
- 45:31Speaker 1: was looking at me, act like I had never met her.
- 45:36Speaker 1: And that was my Steve Harbys Wow, trapped, trapped claulton.
- 45:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna put some music to that, all right, all right,
- 45:47Speaker 1: never you tell me? Coming up next with the prank
- 45:50Speaker 1: phone call. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show, coming
- 45:55Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour. I hope we
- 45:57Speaker 1: all have recovered. But coming up at the top of
- 46:00Speaker 1: the hour, about four minutes after today's strawberry letter. But
- 46:04Speaker 1: up next, it's the nephew with today's prank phone call.
- 46:07Speaker 1: What you got next? I R check? Huh, yes, the
- 46:13Speaker 1: I R two weeks my grandmother's called Irish the Irish
- 46:24Speaker 1: running hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach Regina. Please, this
- 46:30Speaker 1: is how you doing. My name is Mark. I'm actually
- 46:34Speaker 1: calling you from the income tax office. Did you actually
- 46:37Speaker 1: did you receive your income tax check yet? No? I
- 46:40Speaker 1: haven't received I'm waiting on it now. Okay, Now, there
- 46:44Speaker 1: was a check man that was sent out for dollars
- 46:48Speaker 1: that was probably about two weeks ago. You never received
- 46:51Speaker 1: that check? No, I haven't received it. I'm waiting on it. Okay, wow, okay, Uh,
- 46:57Speaker 1: what what address did you send it to? We're looking
- 47:01Speaker 1: at let's see fifteen O one Avenue. No, that's that's
- 47:06Speaker 1: not my that's not my address. I don't live there.
- 47:09Speaker 1: That's my mom's address. That's where it was actually sent to. Man,
- 47:12Speaker 1: was I guess to your mother's address? That's the address
- 47:16Speaker 1: that I put down. I'm not. I'm not. That's not
- 47:19Speaker 1: my mistake right now, I understand that. I'm not sure
- 47:23Speaker 1: what the complicated Now. The problem I'm looking at, man,
- 47:25Speaker 1: is that it's it's showing at our records here that
- 47:28Speaker 1: this this check has been cash. How has the check
- 47:32Speaker 1: been cast? I haven't received the check. Let me look
- 47:35Speaker 1: a little further here. Um, let's see. Are you familiar
- 47:39Speaker 1: with a A Project. Yeah, that's my brother, but he's
- 47:46Speaker 1: not he's that that money is not going to him.
- 47:49Speaker 1: That's actually have my name on it, not no project. Okay,
- 47:53Speaker 1: it was actually cash by A project two days after
- 47:56Speaker 1: it was delivered to uh this fifteen fifteen on one. No, kay,
- 48:02Speaker 1: So we need to find out how you can send
- 48:04Speaker 1: me that money back and get that money back and
- 48:06Speaker 1: send me a check because Like I said, I didn't
- 48:09Speaker 1: put that address down. That is not you know you
- 48:12Speaker 1: that just the checks you coming to me. That's not
- 48:16Speaker 1: my problem. So you guys need to rectify the problem
- 48:20Speaker 1: and give me my money. Okay. He evidently does a problem.
- 48:23Speaker 1: Your your brother, I guess is evidently cash your check.
- 48:26Speaker 1: You know what, the cratch head peven. That's why I did.
- 48:29Speaker 1: I've moved out of that place, and y'all, y'all should
- 48:32Speaker 1: be sending me money to my house that's over there. Okay. Now,
- 48:35Speaker 1: the reason man, that I was actually calling initially was
- 48:37Speaker 1: to let you know, uh, we sent your check for
- 48:41Speaker 1: eighty dollars okay, And the problem is is that it
- 48:45Speaker 1: was a miscalculation on this whole thing and we actually
- 48:47Speaker 1: needed you need you actually to send four fifty dollars
- 48:52Speaker 1: back to us because we sent you two months. Oh
- 48:54Speaker 1: you got me. I'm sorry, but no, I worked off
- 48:58Speaker 1: all through the year. I'm went and May and and
- 49:01Speaker 1: did find my taxes and I did everything correctly. Now,
- 49:04Speaker 1: if y'all send me too much money, that's your problem.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I ain't sending no money back to y'all. Man, We're
- 49:09Speaker 1: gonna have you will. You're gonna have to find it
- 49:13Speaker 1: somewhere else because you're not gonna get it from me.
- 49:16Speaker 1: I don't want to you will you le gonna tell
- 49:18Speaker 1: you what you need to do. Okay, you need to
- 49:20Speaker 1: send me another check. That's what you need to do
- 49:23Speaker 1: because I never received it. We're not gonna be able
- 49:25Speaker 1: to send another check, ma'am until we get first of
- 49:27Speaker 1: all before you. You don't understand, you know, you're you're
- 49:31Speaker 1: not listening, You're not understanding. Where is your supervisor? I
- 49:34Speaker 1: need to sup. I need to speak to a supervisor
- 49:37Speaker 1: because honestly, you're not doing your job right. I'm actually
- 49:40Speaker 1: the supervisor, man. But what I'm gonna explain to you
- 49:43Speaker 1: is that I need to come in and tell you
- 49:44Speaker 1: how to do your job. Mr. His Man was not
- 49:47Speaker 1: on the check you're sending send it there in the
- 49:49Speaker 1: first place. Well, uh, you know, I don't understand who
- 49:53Speaker 1: your brother is, but the project this check, I don't
- 49:56Speaker 1: know what's going on, tackhead. I don't your you're you
- 50:00Speaker 1: seem to be cashing my You should need me send
- 50:02Speaker 1: it over there. I do apologize for these problems. I
- 50:04Speaker 1: do is not expected to. What what was gonna make
- 50:07Speaker 1: me happy is you send me a check to the
- 50:10Speaker 1: corrected draft. Where can we expect to check from you
- 50:13Speaker 1: for four fifty? No? Well, I'm sorry, but I haven't
- 50:16Speaker 1: even received how much? Send you some money and I
- 50:18Speaker 1: haven't received my money yet. Okay, man, if we don't
- 50:21Speaker 1: receive the four fifty within a week, we're gonna have
- 50:23Speaker 1: to put a freeze on your account. How you gonna
- 50:25Speaker 1: see put it on a freezing money? Turning, I haven't
- 50:27Speaker 1: received my check and you gonna send it over to
- 50:29Speaker 1: that crackhead. You know you need to see in my check.
- 50:32Speaker 1: That's what you need to do, trying to freeze my money.
- 50:35Speaker 1: I don't even get no money. What are you talking about.
- 50:38Speaker 1: You need to get my money. That's what you need
- 50:39Speaker 1: to do. If you your crack brother cap check and
- 50:45Speaker 1: read off with it, we can't do anything about that
- 50:47Speaker 1: when you know what No, no, that's what you you.
- 50:50Speaker 1: I don't care your your mistakes that y'all made is
- 50:53Speaker 1: that you send it to the wrong house and then
- 50:55Speaker 1: you want to try and speaze my account. You got
- 50:57Speaker 1: me up, Okay, that's what you need to do. You
- 51:00Speaker 1: need to send me my money. You're sending to the
- 51:02Speaker 1: wrong case. That's not my mistake, that's your mistake. I
- 51:05Speaker 1: got listen, man, I don't want a time to go
- 51:06Speaker 1: back and forth. I got one more thing I need
- 51:08Speaker 1: to say. Do you think you need to be telling me?
- 51:10Speaker 1: Is that you're sending mind check? Are you listening to me? Now?
- 51:14Speaker 1: Y'all made that mistake? This is nephew. Tell me from

- 55:06Speaker 1: for golf this time. He's going through another bad breakup. Um.
- 55:11Speaker 1: This time, ex girlfriend Christian Smith has been battling over
- 55:15Speaker 1: a non disclosure agreement and n d A designed to
- 55:18Speaker 1: keep her quiet about their relationship. Now. This is all
- 55:21Speaker 1: according to TMZ, she wants out of their deals so
- 55:24Speaker 1: she can talk about the relationship now. A legal war
- 55:27Speaker 1: has erupted the two. Uh they dated back from two
- 55:31Speaker 1: thousand fifteen to two thousand seventeen last year. They are
- 55:34Speaker 1: arbitration right now and the gossip blog says that the
- 55:37Speaker 1: romance ended because Tiger was unfaithful. Surprise, Uh yeah girl
- 55:46Speaker 1: for yeah, he wasn't engaged anyway. Now filing off on
- 55:51Speaker 1: the dude now, Jarmy Daniels, I knew Molda. No, everybody
- 56:01Speaker 1: went out take day. I'm in d A. Well, Yeah,
- 56:06Speaker 1: Tiger was unfaithful, that's why. And she says since he
- 56:09Speaker 1: didn't want another pr nightmare, he offered Kristen money to
- 56:13Speaker 1: sign this n d A but didn't. Tiger didn't even
- 56:16Speaker 1: sound like a relationship. Then it was a relationship. It
- 56:20Speaker 1: was two years, Junior. I don't know woman, I'm giving
- 56:23Speaker 1: money to to date me. He just don't know how
- 56:27Speaker 1: to be. They don't do sex, Yes, he went through. Yeah,
- 56:33Speaker 1: he ain't got no sex problem. Yeah, that's just what
- 56:37Speaker 1: is just for the wife. That's for the wife, and
- 56:42Speaker 1: he got a sex problem. They tried to do that
- 56:44Speaker 1: they ain't got no damn problem. H then you don't
- 56:48Speaker 1: even go ahead on air. Dude got that? I got
- 56:58Speaker 1: it to that out man, even you. Yeah, he's a dude.
- 57:08Speaker 1: Is everybody got that? Dude? You know, don't won't know
- 57:15Speaker 1: say all the time when you feel like it. But
- 57:20Speaker 1: he paid her for for her and to sign the
- 57:23Speaker 1: nd A because he didn't want this exposure, and she
- 57:27Speaker 1: signed it and took the money and he got it anyway.
- 57:31Speaker 1: So this is crazy. Stop doing that. He got away,
- 57:35Speaker 1: he got the bad publicity anyway, and he don't get
- 57:38Speaker 1: this money. Yeah, he may as well have not had
- 57:40Speaker 1: her sign it. Surely. Yes, India's are in business. India's
- 57:47Speaker 1: don't work in personal. See she didn't come back and
- 57:50Speaker 1: sue your company. India I signed India's all the time
- 57:54Speaker 1: with business. Then if I'm doing something with the company
- 57:57Speaker 1: and I don't, I got to give him some information
- 57:58Speaker 1: about me. You put this information out. Okay, now you
- 58:02Speaker 1: put it out and see what happened. I'm gonna own
- 58:05Speaker 1: your company. You can't do in d as with personal people. Well,
- 58:10Speaker 1: we're talking about the feelings. Someone needs to get to
- 58:13Speaker 1: Tiger and tell him because Tommy's right, he doesn't know
- 58:16Speaker 1: how to date. What y'all wrong for this? With Tiger?
- 58:23Speaker 1: Your presented has an inn d a out he got
- 58:27Speaker 1: more than one? Yeah, So who y'all? What's y'all braminess
- 58:31Speaker 1: on Tiger fall? And I'm not gonna let Tiger be
- 58:34Speaker 1: news for all of that? Got a a with a
- 58:42Speaker 1: pawn star? Y'all tripping? What we're talking about? Tiger phone?
- 58:48Speaker 1: He's in the news. Tiger just a boy man. All right,
- 58:55Speaker 1: let's get to this letter. It is time listen. If
- 58:58Speaker 1: you need help or advice, especially relationship relationship advice, please
- 59:04Speaker 1: do not write in here asking Steve for any coins
- 59:06Speaker 1: or anything like that. This is all about relationships. Okay.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Just email us your letter to Steve Harvey f M
- 59:14Speaker 1: dot com and we could be reading your letter on
- 59:16Speaker 1: the air today or any day, just like we're reading
- 59:19Speaker 1: this one. All right, Thank you? All right, nephew, buggle up,
- 59:23Speaker 1: hold on tight. We got it for you. Here. It
- 59:25Speaker 1: is subject so Angry I'm seeing Red. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 59:32Speaker 1: I begin this letter by saying I hate my husband
- 59:36Speaker 1: of twelve years. I feel as though he has made
- 59:38Speaker 1: a fool of me, and I feel stupid. The thought
- 59:41Speaker 1: of him makes me sick to my stomach. I want
- 59:44Speaker 1: to say, kiss my butt. I'm at the point in
- 59:47Speaker 1: which I don't even care to confront him for what reason?
- 59:51Speaker 1: Another stupid lie? Okay, you can tell me that he
- 59:55Speaker 1: lies to me because I am the one he doesn't
- 59:58Speaker 1: want to hurt. But when he lies, at which point
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: does a man realize that he is hurting me? He's
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: still hurting me at this moment. It is not Uh
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: do I leave him? But how do I lead? And
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: this is why I am writing you. I know getting
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: even is not the right choice, but it would make
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: me feel better. I would like your opinion. Here's what
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: I came up with so far. Set him up. I
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: know he is meeting a woman in person that he
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: meets online. He doesn't even know one of the women
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: he's talking to is me. Do I talk to him first?
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Ask him what I am lacking that makes him look elsewhere?
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: Do I just get my ducks in a row and
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: walk by the way. I would rather put a print
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: of his profile and put it over his side of
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: the bed while he is sleeping. What do you think? Uh?
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: I say, get some billboards. That's what we were talking
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: about earlier. Anyway, the latest trend right anyway, if you
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: got an extra two dollars laying around. But my favorite
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: line in this whole letter is when he says I
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: love you, I want to say, kiss my butt. Wow.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: That says a lot about your relationship. You're that angry,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: You're you're very, very angry and emotional. You want to
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: get him back, you want revenge, you want to feel better,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: you said. But I gotta ask you, really, is it
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: worth all of that? Is he worth this? Do you
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: still love this man? Do you still want a relationship
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: with him? Can he be trusted? Those are the kinds
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: of questions you need to be asking yourself once you
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: calm down. And I get that you're upset right now,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: I understand this, Uh, I kind of think you are
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: still feeling him because you asked the question do you
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: talk to him first? And and do you you want
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: to ask him? What are you lacking in all of that?
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: So if you if there's still some feelings there that
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: you have for this man, go ahead and talk to him,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: But you gotta ask yourself, is he worth all of this? First?
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Steve man upon all that? Ya, he go to deal,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: But I ain't got nothing to say to this won't
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: my is all for the man. Oh. First of all,
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: when a woman in a letter opens up by open up,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: let me begin this letter by saying, I hate my hoose,
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: my hand, he has no idea the heyf even to
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: leave me. I hate my husband. Then she says, I
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: want to say kiss my boy. That's my first play
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: something to y'all. Let me say this to you right here,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: right now, the word hate and but cannot go in
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: to sit saint, since if a woman hate you, I
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: can assure you, but it's not the words she's using.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: All right, we'll have part two of Steve's response coming
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: up at twenty three after the hour you're listening to
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: the Steve Morning Show. All right, guys, come on part
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: two Steve of your response to today's Strawberry letter. Well,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: so angry, I'm seeing red, Steve. I have no nothing
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: to say to this woman because I'm afraid. I'm scared. Yeah,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: I don't want her to turn none of this on me.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: This is for the dude that's doing his girl wrong.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Listen to me. Hell hath no fury like a woman school.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: At the top of the letter, when she said I
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: hate my hood, this is not good for no man.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: Once a woman utters them words, here come the billboards,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: he come the internet lives. But she's fed up. I
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: got all that once again, Sherley. I'm not saying anything.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: I don't need this in my life, but listen, and
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I'm serious. No, I'm very serious about this. If you
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: think you know who this guy is, please call his
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: brother and let him know, because let me or something.
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: The Strawberry Letter is meant to help people to solve problems.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Sometimes we laugh with the Strawberry letter. This is the
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: first time we've ever had a strawberry letter. This is
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: not what the Strawberry Letter is supposed to be about.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: It's over here, by the way. I would rather put
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: a print of his profile and put it over his
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: side of the bed. Why he's sleeping? What do you think? Yeah,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: I take it literally, a print of his profile in
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: his profile. Oh you don't hear it home. She's blowing
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: off some steams, Steve, Come on, blowing off steam in
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: a sheet that you're sleeping under on your side of
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: the beds in the print, blow all steam, Take a drink,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: go for a walk. That's not how we do it, Steve.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Are you scared. Are you scared? Yes? Yes, this woman here,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I don't want her coming after me. She sped up
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: with his lies. She sped up with his mess. That's
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: why he Somebody notice, man, Please, for the love of God,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: tell him not plotting murder. I don't know what y'all
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: think it is, but she set him up though he talked.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: He talked to his wife. What you got on? All right, Steve,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. You can email us
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: or instagram us your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter at
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: my girl, surely, and don't forget to Please join me
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: this coming Thursday at one pm Eastern Time for the
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter Live after show on Facebook. Okay, one pm
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: Eastern time, join me all right? Uh so, Carla, I
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: know you saw your girl. Um, oh my god, Rob
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: Kardashian's baby, Mama girl black China clown in it come
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: up her? But is to be I like a night
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: that's just too much right there. I mean, that's a
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: rioted sampath. She went in. I mean really, she just
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: went in at six Flags. I mean, according this, according
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: again to TMZ, a young lady just kind of touched
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: you know how you touch a baby baby dream. She
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: kind of touched her um and said, what a cute baby,
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: touched her little hand, she said, with her finger and said, oh,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: what a cute baby. And h Also, according to China,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: someone uttered hood ratt talking about Black China, calling her
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: a hood rat in her direction. Well that's when Black
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: China snapped, okay, napped. Yeah, he picked up the stroller
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: that was shaped like a pink car and she, yeah,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: she started swinging it, use it and using it as
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: a weapon in the direction of a young woman who
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: you know, just dared to touch her child. Uh So, Now,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: Rob Kardashian, when when she was not when she was swinging,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: but when she went to touch her, yes, she was.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: The nanny kind of rolled the stroller towards the lady
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: and and the and the lady was like, oh what
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: a cute little baby and touched her. But she was
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: young that the lady was young, very young, very young girl.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: So so again, now Rob Kardashian is taking Black China
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: to family court, um to you know, try to get
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: the child out of harm's way. He doesn't want his
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: child growing up in this kind of environment. Your mom
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: going off, taking her coat off, swinging a baby carriage. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: he's currently already had like joint custody, but he wants
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: full custody. He just doesn't want his baby in this
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: kind of environment. All right. He's currently paying black in
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: the US a month downb Yeah. Yeah, that's a lot
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: of money. That baby was in a nice stroke. What
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: little bit number I've been in here bleeding before my
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: life when I'm so glad I'm free, now free. Yeah,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: this is I saw this. This was awful. Come on,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: he his mother hold on yesterday that I asked the question,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: should I go back? Yeah? To respond you just to
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: start checking in, Well, you just asked us. You said
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: you were thinking about putting it on social media after
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: the bathroom bay go forward, pardon for it, but it
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: is there. It's on Steve Harvey FM. People are commenting, Okay,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: what did they say? Couch calling? They say it, so okay,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: wait wait a minute, Steve, we do talk about black child. No, no, no, no, no,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: I know we're definitely done talking about her. But okay,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: just are you open? You know your nerves get bad.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Just be open. That's all we're saying. Yeah, yea, And
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: what they're saying, you know, I don't I know how
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: to control that about them? If I listened to them,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I wouldn't have none of these jobs. You need to
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: set your ass down somewhere. What if you're working all
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: them outs? B How you got time for your family? Yeah? Okay,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: so we come back college. Can you read some of
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: the statements off film? Just go down the line however
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: they are, just go ahead, all right, good good. I
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: just want you to have a good attitude. Yeah, I'm
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: gonna do what I won't do. Though. It's the same
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: man that said he couldn't be on Dancing with the
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Stars exactly exactly. Yeah, I went to rehearsal, he said,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: went to practice. Coming up in ten minutes. We remember
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Dr King on the fiftieth anniversary of his death. You're
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: listening to fifty years ago. On April four night, Reverend
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Was assassinated on the balcony
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: of his motel room at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: You know what, you guys, um, race has consistently been
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: an issue in national politics. You know, we have to
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: talk openly with our children about race, about ethnicity, about
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: religion and bigotry. Uh, have you dealt with that, I mean,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: I'm sure you have. But my dealt with yeah, with
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: your children, I mean, you know, talking to them about
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: it at a young age. I mean, you know, I
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: had a couple of incidents. Has happened, you know about race?
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: I try to My kids grew up very, very different
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: from me, so dave afforded, were afforded a different lifestyle
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: than I had. So my none of my kids grew
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: up in the hood. My kids have been fortunate enough
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: to live in totally different environments and I grew up
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: in so they've I've always encouraged my kids to accept
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: people for who they were, as long as they accept
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: you for who you are. I'm a realist when I
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: talk to my kids about racism. If somebody got a
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: problem with you because of the color of your skin,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: I said, you're gonna know it, and then you have
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: to deal with it accordingly. You know, everybody not going
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: All people are not good people. It's just some bad
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: people out there or when you run into them. You
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: have to have an assurance. You have to have a
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: confidence level, a certain amount of self esteem about yourself.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Don't let nobody make you try to feel less. There
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: simply because of the color of your skin. That's not
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: gonna happen. And I've given them my full permission to
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: address it. I'm probably not the best parent to talk
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: about racism what you're kids, because I've had to deal
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: with it on some very blatant levels, you know, I've
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: seen it from some really dark angles, man, and so
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: I've just always had my kids in a position where
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: they they deal with it if they if they see it,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: you know, if they're confronted with it, deal with it.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: Be courageous about it. Don't put yourself in a life
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: threatening situation about it, but be courageous about it. But
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: my kids are open to people, you know, they accept
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: people for who they are. They don't have uh hang
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: ups when it comes to race. You know, Oh, my
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: son's wife is from it has biracial parents. My son's
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: wife has biracial parents. And you know, we all eat,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: we all celebrate holidays, and when we have a problem
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: with that, I'm It's very simple to me. If you
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: cool to me, I'm cool with you. That's it. I
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: don't I don't do good with people who who don't. Ah,
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: I don't do good with racism. I just don't. I'm
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: not the best person to talk about it because if
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: you extend it to me. I hate to say this,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: but I give it back to you. On this historic anniversary,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: Steve You wanted to play a portion of Dr King's
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: historic final speech. Dr MARTL Luther King Jr. Once Said
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: that life's most persistent and urgent question is what are
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you doing for others? Come together, everybody, and serve your communities.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: Coming up, we got some excerpts from Dr King's I've
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Been to the Mountaintop speech. That was another letter came
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: from a little girl, a young girl who was a
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: student at the White Plains High School. And I looked
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: at that letter and I'll never forget it. Said something,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Dear Dr King, I am a ninth grade student at
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: the White Plains High School. She said. While it should
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: not matter, I would like to mention that I'm a
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: white girl. I read in the paper of your misfortune
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: and of your suffering, and I read that if you
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: had sneezed, you would have died. I'm simply writing you
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: to say that I'm so happy that you didn't sneeze.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: And I want to say tonight. I want to say
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: tonight that I too am happy that I didn't sneeze.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Because of I had sneeze, I wouldn't have been around here.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: In nineteen sixty when students all over the South started
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: sitting in a lunchtouns, and I knew that as they
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: were sitting in they were really standing up for the
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: best in the American dream and taken the whole nation
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: back to those great weals of democracy which were dug
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: deep by the founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: and the Constitution. If I had sneezed, I wouldn't have
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: been around here. In nineteen six to one, when we
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: decided to take a rod for freedom and in its
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: segregation in it to state travel, if I had sneezed,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: I wouldn't have been around here. In nineteen sixty two,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: the Negroes and all been at Georgia decided to straighten
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: that box up. And whenever the men and women straightened
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: the box up, they're going somewhere because a man had
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: roger back unless it is bent. If I had sneeze,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: I had sneezed, I wouldn't have been here. In nineteen
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: six to three, the black people of Birmingham, Alabama aroused
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: the conscience of this nation and brought into being the
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: civil rights. If I had sneeze, I wouldn't have had
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: a chance later that year in August to try to
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: tell America about a dream that I had had. If
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: I had sneeze, I wouldn't have been down in Selma,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: Alabama to see the Bretain movement there. If I had sneezed,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: I wouldn't have been in Memphis to see a community
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: rally around bold brothers and sisters who are suffering. I'm
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: so happy that I didn't sneeze, And they were telling
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: me now it doesn't matter. Now, it really doesn't matter
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: what happens now. I left Atlanta this morning and as
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: we got started on the plane that was six of us,
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: the pilot said over the public address aston, We're sorry
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: for the delaye but we have Dr Martin Luther King
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: on the plane and to be sure that all of
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: the bags were checked and to be sure that nothing
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: would be wrong on the plane, we had to check
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: out everything carefully, and we've had the plane protected and
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: guard it all night. And then I got into Memphis
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: and some began to say the threats, talk about the
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: threats that were out. What would happen to me from
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: some of are sick white brothers. Well, I don't know
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: what will happen now. We've got some difficult days ahead.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: But it really doesn't matter with me now because I've
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: been to the Mountain Talk. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: Marday Morning Show. Okay, Steve asked Carla to read off
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: some of the um responses when he put out should
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: he return to the stage, And here's what some of
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: the people had to say. Go ahead, Carla, that's right
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM on The Graham on Instagram. If you
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: didn't get a chance to vote, the question is should
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: uncle Steve hashtag Steve Harvey returned to stand up comedy
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: and do a one night special? All right, here's some
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: of the comments. Steve, you're ready, We're gonna read them,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: good or bad? Please please do it. Yes, Yes, it
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: would be nice for you to come back to comedy,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: even if you're not going to do a lot of
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Trump bashing. We want you to come back. We just,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: you know, thinking about the image of you at the
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: hotel lobby with Trump. That was a comment and I
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: to change I'm going to talk about that. Go ahead,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: all right, here's a comment, do it. Yes, here's another comment. Yes,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: here's another one. Yes. Uh. This one says heck yeah,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: and I'm gonna bring my whole family to see you.
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: This one says, please come to Iowa if you do it.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: The answer is yes, Netflix special, Yes, yes, yes, sir, yes, yes,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I'm going down the line. Yes, yes, hell yes, yes, yes,
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: yes yes. There's a bunch of them, bunch bunch This
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: reason I want to come back because of that. The
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: other one right off at your image you standing in
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: the lobby with Trump. If you didn't know why my
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: ass went up there, That's why I want to because
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: let me say something. See what I haven't done is
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: let let me let let me tell you what I'm
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: really and I really I talked to us over with
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: my wife. Social media man has been having a field
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: day with me for a few years now. Everything I do,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: I can't do nothing, y'all. Here. The big one, the
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: biggest one is I got divorced in two thousand five.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: People really think I was in the process of divorce.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: I was already divorced, y'all don't even know what really
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: happened here. I'm a straighten all that out Okay, here's
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: some more comments. State I want you to hear this one.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: This one is from Felicia Treats. I think, I think so.
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: But Uncle Steve has a lot on his plate right
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: now and it's going well for him and his family.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: If God leaves his heart back, then it's meant to be.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: I would be there to see him. This other one,
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: and this is a comment from Frank to Barber. You
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: know he's a loyal listener. I say, you don't have
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: to come back. You have put a great mark on
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: comedy with your career. I say, train younger comedians to
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: reach the level that you are, that you have set
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: is basically what he was saying. Another listener said, immediately
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: start planning right now. So someone said, I think you
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: should do one more tour. So there you go. See
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: your legend, Steve Harvey. F M. If you want to comment,
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: it's good, y'all keep going to Steve Harvey from give
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: me your comments on me coming back. But here's the
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: mother's stuff too. Say I want to address a couple
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: of things because I've been I've been quiet on stage.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: You mean, yeah, yeah, I'm not gonna do it now. Yeah,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna wait, I'm gonna wait till I can say it.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: How woman say, I'm not gonna do it on the radio.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: I never thought you'd come back. This is really think
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: so either. But I have a reason. Okay, social media,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: you know, so I'm just look, let's just start with
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: the divorce. How they've done me without me opening my
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: mouth about that was one. Oh, let's go to Mission Universe. Oh,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: y'all toasted your boy right the Real show? How? Oh yeah?

- 1:24:00Speaker 1: be concerned. All the media, all my friends that turned

- 1:24:16Speaker 1: ain't gonna be angry. I'm gonna be funny as hate.

- 1:25:06Speaker 1: uh having job openings for people who just wanted to
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: binge watch TV all day. Yeah, so now there are
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: more job openings. A New Dost campground, Tommy, this story

- 1:26:30Speaker 1: swimming skills, oh no, I can swim like a fish.
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: It is questionable when it comes to saving others. It
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: ain't about how good you can swim. Oh you swim
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: like a fish, but you're too small to say something.
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: What No, we gotta dive in the water and get people.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: There's the other reason. Did you say he had to
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: have what excellent communication skills? Do you know as a lifeguard?
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: How many words start doubter? Water? Water, get out the water. Wait. Wait,
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: we've been to have bad weather. We have the waves.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: Come on, watch out, watch out, do hill, we're clothes
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: Wait for me, wish way look out here to come on?
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: Where the phone you just on the beat? People away,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: come through that watch out, watch out here, Come on? Wave.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: I thought this would be great for Timmy because he
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: loves being naked. Whoa who waving in the water? What
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: people just take you'all up? Man, sut it out? Ain't
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: your stupid a. It's too many words. Start when you're lifeguard, sir,
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: Get out to get out the water about to be
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: everybody stuff to blow over. Try that line? Tell me
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: right there again, because what's the line? Get out the water.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: It's about to be windy. It's a wave coming or something.
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: Get out the water. It's about to be windy, and
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: you and waste deep water get out to water is
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: about to be windy. They're drowned, waste. Where's my whist? Drowned?
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: It's all right, mars polishness when we come back right
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Show. All right,
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: Bill Cosby back in the news, guys. His first trial,
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: you know, ended in a mistrial when jurors failed to
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: reach a verdict on whether he had drugged and molested
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: a woman fourteen years ago. Remember that, well, Now, selecting
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: twelve people to sit and hear the Bill Cosby retrial
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: of the sex assault case is proving a bit hard.
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: More than half of a hundred and twenty potential jurors
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: for Bill Cosby's sexual assault retrial were dismissed from court.
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: They were dismissed because they were talking about they were
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: voicing and forming strong opinions about Cosby's guilt or innocent
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: and being swayed by the hashtag me too movement. You know.
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: Uh So when the selection um uh is complete, the
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: jury will be sequestered at a hotel and warned that
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: the retrial could last about a month. So uh Cosby. Yeah.
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: Cosby is pleaded not guilty, uh, of course, to charges
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: that he drugged and sexually molested Her name is Andrea Constand,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: Temple University women's basketball staffer at his suburban Philadelphia home.
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: This happened back in two thousand four, she says, she's charging.
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: He says the encounter was consensual. That's what Bill Cosby
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: is saying. The trial is scheduled to begin in just
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: a few days in April nine. So wow yeah, so yeah,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: So they're having problems with the jury because the jury,
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: the potential jury, because they came this allegedly happened in
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: two thousand So I don't know what's gonna happen with
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: Cosby man. I really don't. I really don't. Eighty one
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: years old. I don't know what's gonna happen. But it's
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: hard to get a mistrial the first trial and a
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: conviction the second time. That's that's very difficult to do. Well. Yeah,
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: and these jurors have very strong opinions. I mean, the
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: ones who are four m are four or im and
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: the ones who are against him are against him so
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: and and they're talking about it. So it could be,
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: you know, a long process. I just gotta eat you
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: some jello pudding and get through this man. Really you
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: can't give you. This man is on trial. You talked
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: about eating some jello and it's said to begin April nine.
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: That's why this clearly m wow. Yeah. Well he says
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: it was was consensual. So the burden of proof is
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: on Ms. Andrea Constant and her team her tea yeah proof.
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: I just couldn't. Steve, that's your nephew. Okay, look, we
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: gotta pull it together here because coming up, Ned, it's
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: Steve with his closing remarks. Right after this. You're listening
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here we
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: are Steve last break of the day. It's been a
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: great day. What a day? When a day? Yeah, it's
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: been a crazy day today. So Steve, now it's time
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: for you to take us home with your closing remarks.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: My closing remarks today, um are gonna be based around
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: the value of yourself. I think this is important. Uh
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: Tommy sent this to me. He sent me a saying,
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: you know, a bill board and it really triggered me
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: to thinking, I'm gonna share that with you. But it
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: all pertains to the value of yourself. This can pertain
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: to you in terms of reaching your goals, your dreams,
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: all in business, and this is for you to consider
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: in the relationship of love. It is amazing to me
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: who I talk to people, and people talk about how
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: they're being treated and handled and represented and dealt with,
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: and how they can't seem to get nobody to see
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: their value and their worth. And I'm sitting a bit going,
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: wait a minute, wait a minute. You can't try to
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: get someone to see something in you that you don't
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: see in yourself. It starts with you. You know, you've
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: all heard the saying, Uh, beauty is on the inside.
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: It's not just skin deep. That's true. Confidence is not
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: an outward emotion. It's something that starts from within. Everything
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: starts from within, and it exudes and and and and
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: and manifest itself in the outward shape or form. So
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: if you want people to value you, you must first
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: value yourself. I tell my daughters all the time, you
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: can train a man how to treat you well, Daddy,
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: how do you train a man? You just don't accept
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: bad treatment from him. If you don't accept bad treatment
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: from him, little girl of mine, then guess what. He
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: can't keep giving it to you. A person can only
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: treat you the way you allow them to do it.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: If you don't accept a man coming to pick you
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: up late all the time, and he comes to pick
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: you up late twice, but you stop going with him
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: every time he late, The next time he want to
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: go out with you, he gotta be on time. Now.
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: If he don't want to be on time, then guess what.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: You don't go out. You've trained him how to treat you,
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: and if he don't line up with what you want,
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: then guess what he not for you. At least you
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: don't have to be mistreated the way he want to
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: treat you by simply not allowing him to treat you
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: any way he wants to. You cannot have high value
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: for yourself and expect someone else to have a high
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: value of you. That goes into the same thing with business.
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: You can't go in and ask for a raise if
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: you don't think you deserve one. What would cause you
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: to walk in there and ask for a raise if
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: you don't think you deserve one, If you don't have
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: the facts to back up a raise, you can't want
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: more money just because you don't spend all the money
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: you had. You got to go in there and ask
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: for a raise because you can show value to the company.
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: You're worth this much more to the company. The company
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: has become this because of you. Then you can show
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: your value. Then you can go in there with a raise,
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: and you can go in there with some confidence with
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: the raise. It happens with goals and dreams. If you
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: aim too low, your problem is you might hit it.
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: But I'm gonna say that for tomorrow. So it's what
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: you think of yourself, how you value yourself, that matters most. Now,
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: let me tell you what was sent to me. I
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: listen to this real careful, because this is going to
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: register with a lot of people here we go. Listen
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: to me. If you aren't being treated with love and respect,
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: check your price tag. Maybe you've marked yourself down. It's
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: you who tells people what you're worth. Get off the
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: clearest rack and get behind the glass where they keep
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: the valuables. It's you who tells people what you're worth.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: Get off the clearest rack and get behind the glass
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: where they keep the valuables. Stop acting like you a
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: sidewalk sale. Stop acting like you can be picked up
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: at the swap meet. Stop acting like you belong in
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: the junkyard. You're a new car. Don't act like an
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: old car. I don't care how old you are to somebody.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: You got to be a new car. Stop putting yourself
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: on the sales rack when clearly you deserve full price.
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: If you lower the value for yourself, that's what we'll
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: pay for you, and that's how we'll treat you, and
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: that's how we respect. If you don't respect yourself, if
- 1:37:17Speaker 1: I see you constantly disrespecting yourself, then you're gonna turn
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: to me and demand respect. How how does that work?
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: Get back there? Be that be a coat where they
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: got the lock on it, so you can't take me
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: off the rack and just try me on. No, that
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: ain't how this work. See, but now you go over
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: that to that valuable section in the store. You everybody
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: been amazing. You got that stuff where you got to
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: go get a salesperson to come and unlock it for
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: you to even try it on. That's cause they to
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: put a value on that. Are you going over there
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: and just put the little shirt on? T shirts ain't
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: locked up. Anybody can get one if you're steal his
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: T shirt. It ain't that bigger lost stablefold dollars, pack
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: of three. Come over here, body, swade, come over here,
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: body's first stuff. We got locks on this stuff right
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: here because it has value. We know it has value,
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: so we can't just let you try to stop letting
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: people just try you on. You got it, put the
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: value to yourself, maintain it, you determine your value. Don't
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: let other people do it. You do it all right?
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: Those are my clothing. Drop the mic, drop the mic, baby,
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: Thank you, Tom appreciate. PILP needed that, but that I
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: just need thought starters. Hey man, can I tell y'all
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: something announcement? Have a great weekend man for all. Steve
