- 2:09Speaker 1: One and only Steve Harvey got radio still, Steve Harvey
- 2:16Speaker 1: got radio show. Sometimes when I chuckle like that reminds
- 2:19Speaker 1: me of my oldest brother to pass the where he
- 2:21Speaker 1: used to laugh like that. It's kind of funny how
- 2:23Speaker 1: jeans get passed down through the line. I don't know
- 2:26Speaker 1: why I told you all that, just on to share
- 2:28Speaker 1: with you, that's all. Wow. I'm all good one to day.
- 2:32Speaker 1: You know, I was, as always always kind of asked
- 2:37Speaker 1: God to help me. You know, um, and and and
- 2:40Speaker 1: and I had I had gotten off track a little
- 2:42Speaker 1: bit because um one of the principles of success, I
- 2:47Speaker 1: want to share with you all today is a law
- 2:50Speaker 1: of attraction that is a very very serious principle. It
- 2:55Speaker 1: cannot be ignored the law of attraction. And I'm not
- 3:00Speaker 1: going to be able to explain it to you as
- 3:03Speaker 1: well as the book Secrets can, or as well as
- 3:06Speaker 1: some people. I can only articulate it to you, um
- 3:10Speaker 1: the way that I see it. The law of attraction
- 3:14Speaker 1: is very very real. The law of attraction is a
- 3:17Speaker 1: principle of success. It is something that everyone has to
- 3:23Speaker 1: adhere to. Now, whether you know the law of attraction
- 3:27Speaker 1: or not, it does not make it not exists for you.
- 3:32Speaker 1: This is the case where ignorance is not the excuse.
- 3:38Speaker 1: The fact that no one told it to you. There
- 3:41Speaker 1: is no pass for this one. The fact that you
- 3:44Speaker 1: never heard it before it it does not allow you
- 3:48Speaker 1: to do it any other way. So let me see
- 3:51Speaker 1: if I can put it to you best I can.
- 3:54Speaker 1: The law of attraction, the law of attraction, to put
- 3:58Speaker 1: it real simple, is the thing that you focus on,
- 4:03Speaker 1: the thing that you talk about, the thing that you
- 4:07Speaker 1: think of. It is the thing that you draw to you.
- 4:11Speaker 1: It's what you attract to you. That's basically the law
- 4:14Speaker 1: of attraction. The thing that you talk about the thing
- 4:18Speaker 1: that you think about, the thing that you focus on,
- 4:22Speaker 1: whatever it is that is what you attract. The law
- 4:28Speaker 1: of attraction does not differentiate from positive and negative. It
- 4:36Speaker 1: only does what it does. What I am saying is this,
- 4:41Speaker 1: and the law of attraction no matter what you think of,
- 4:47Speaker 1: no matter what occupies your time, no matter what you say,
- 4:52Speaker 1: or no matter what the focus is, positive or negative,
- 4:56Speaker 1: the law of attraction knows neither one. It just attracts it.
- 5:01Speaker 1: So let's use some examples here. I can just the
- 5:05Speaker 1: best example. Always uses me that way. I ain't got
- 5:08Speaker 1: to figure out nothing. I can just tell you my
- 5:10Speaker 1: side of it. Um. I was in a lot of
- 5:15Speaker 1: debt one time in my life. This is before any
- 5:19Speaker 1: of you knew me. Um, So you can understand. In
- 5:23Speaker 1: case you're not think, I don't. I don't want you
- 5:27Speaker 1: to think that this conversation is about your income level,
- 5:30Speaker 1: cause it's not. It doesn't matter what the income level
- 5:33Speaker 1: you are. The law of attraction works in all aspects money, family, relationships, job, career, love.
- 5:41Speaker 1: It just works that way. Okay, here's the deal. I
- 5:44Speaker 1: kept saying, Man, this debt is killing me. I got
- 5:48Speaker 1: to get out. And I thought that was good enough. Man,
- 5:53Speaker 1: this debt. Man, everywhere I turned, I see debt. I
- 5:56Speaker 1: got to get out, man, I got to get it
- 6:00Speaker 1: out of debt. Man, this debt is killing me. Man.
- 6:02Speaker 1: That's all I see is debt, and I got to
- 6:05Speaker 1: get out of debt. That's what I thought was a
- 6:09Speaker 1: good goal, to get out of debt. But what I
- 6:12Speaker 1: kept saying was, you know, I kept talking about debt,
- 6:16Speaker 1: and you know what it kept doing. It kept attracting
- 6:20Speaker 1: debt to me. So guess what, so I could get
- 6:24Speaker 1: out That's all? Is that crazy? Is that crazy? So
- 6:29Speaker 1: it kept attracting debt to me so I could keep
- 6:33Speaker 1: getting out of it. That is an amazing law to understand.
- 6:38Speaker 1: What turned it around for me was I started claiming
- 6:44Speaker 1: a life of abundance. God, I am seeking a life
- 6:50Speaker 1: of abundance. I want to have more than enough. I
- 6:54Speaker 1: want to be able to help other people. I want
- 6:57Speaker 1: to have money to donate to call asses. I want
- 7:01Speaker 1: to have money to help other people in program. I
- 7:04Speaker 1: want to have enough money to not only send my
- 7:07Speaker 1: children to college, but maybe if I meet another boy
- 7:10Speaker 1: or something, I can help another child. I just want
- 7:13Speaker 1: to have a law of attraction so that I'll be
- 7:15Speaker 1: able to provide my family to lifestyle that I want
- 7:18Speaker 1: to provide them. I want Heavenly Father to be able
- 7:22Speaker 1: to be an example of your goodness and your grace
- 7:25Speaker 1: in my life. That it's what I started saying. And
- 7:30Speaker 1: guess what, that's what I started attractive. I'm going to
- 7:34Speaker 1: have a great relationship with my children. I'm gonna be
- 7:37Speaker 1: the father that I always wanted to be. I'm going
- 7:41Speaker 1: to be a good father. I'm going to be a
- 7:44Speaker 1: good husband. Now, I am going to do the right things.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I am going to be the type of example that
- 7:52Speaker 1: my sons can look no further than go. I can
- 7:54Speaker 1: be like my dad. I want to be able to
- 7:57Speaker 1: be a place, a beacon of light and hope for
- 7:59Speaker 1: my daughters to come through. That's what I started saying.
- 8:03Speaker 1: That's what I started attracting to my life. The law
- 8:08Speaker 1: of attraction does not care if you want it to
- 8:12Speaker 1: be positive or negative. The law of attraction just attracts
- 8:17Speaker 1: whatever it is. You focus on, what you think about,
- 8:21Speaker 1: the words that come out your mouth. That is what
- 8:25Speaker 1: the law of attraction is. You cannot overlook this principle
- 8:30Speaker 1: of success and expect to make it because of the
- 8:33Speaker 1: fact that you've never heard of the law of attraction
- 8:36Speaker 1: because of the fact that you don't know how it
- 8:38Speaker 1: really operates, It does not make it not exist in
- 8:43Speaker 1: your day. You can start today attracting the right things
- 8:48Speaker 1: to your life by changing what you say, what you think,
- 8:56Speaker 1: what you focus on. Change the focus, change the thought,
- 9:03Speaker 1: change the the words that come out your mouth. And
- 9:07Speaker 1: guess what you change what you attract to yourself. You
- 9:11Speaker 1: have got to ask yourself, why is it? Man? Man,
- 9:15Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Somebody said the Bishop Jake's
- 9:17Speaker 1: one time. They said, man, everything you touch turns to gold.
- 9:23Speaker 1: He said, no, I just don't touch everything. Okay, man,
- 9:28Speaker 1: this it's crazy. Come on, man, he has a focus.
- 9:33Speaker 1: He has a focus. See, he ain't just everywhere. Bring
- 9:37Speaker 1: me any idea, let me try that. No, no, no, man,
- 9:40Speaker 1: he has a focus. He has a law of attraction
- 9:44Speaker 1: that's working, where he's attracting things to his life that
- 9:48Speaker 1: that's positive that he can't. It's not to say Bishop
- 9:52Speaker 1: Jakes don't have problems, because we talk often, and man,
- 9:55Speaker 1: he have them. Oh, please understand. And he's not trying
- 9:58Speaker 1: to attract the problems. Of what he will attract is
- 10:02Speaker 1: the proper solution for the problem, and ain't that all
- 10:05Speaker 1: you need? Sometimes? God did not say that it would
- 10:09Speaker 1: be easy. He just said he would be with you.
- 10:13Speaker 1: And if God is with you, who can be against you?
- 10:17Speaker 1: God will make your enemies your footsteal. God is powerful man.
- 10:21Speaker 1: His word is true. He do what he say he
- 10:23Speaker 1: gonna do. Now, all we got to do is do
- 10:26Speaker 1: some of what we say. But we ain't gonna do everything.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Just do some of what we say we Okay, here's
- 10:31Speaker 1: the deal. God is going to do everything he said
- 10:34Speaker 1: he gonna to you, and I just got to do
- 10:37Speaker 1: some of the stuff we say we're gonna do it
- 10:39Speaker 1: because he already know we ain't gonna do all that. Yeah,
- 10:41Speaker 1: he clear on that. He clear on that. I ain't
- 10:45Speaker 1: smoking no more. Yeah, okay, cool, Maybe not, you know,
- 10:48Speaker 1: I ain't. I ain't gambling no more. Okay, maybe not,
- 10:51Speaker 1: maybe not, maybe not. I'm quick cussing, all right, okay, cool,
- 10:56Speaker 1: all right, thank you you're listening. Morning show ladies and gentlemen.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Here we are. We are at the arrival point. We've

- 11:10Speaker 1: awakened today. Praise God for that. If you ain't glad
- 11:13Speaker 1: to be up man. You know the other option, ain't

- 13:23Speaker 1: grams of plant protein, no soy or gluten, no GMOs. Uh, Yeah,

- 13:37Speaker 1: and they sell it on a different grill. Okay, so
- 13:40Speaker 1: they're not putting on that with me. No, that's what
- 13:42Speaker 1: I thought they did. But they have a different grill
- 13:44Speaker 1: for it's the revolutionary plant based burger that looks, cooks

- 16:04Speaker 1: C instead of it. But can I try? I need
- 16:08Speaker 1: to know the origin different. You don't know where that
- 16:12Speaker 1: is in a sentence. Please use O spell origin C
- 16:20Speaker 1: O N h Okay, boy, is he embarrassing your sea?
- 16:29Speaker 1: He got a damn degree. The O I N O
- 16:32Speaker 1: M I n A I mean really close. But instead

- 24:20Speaker 1: some kind of like trouble or something. No, no, no, no,
- 24:24Speaker 1: nothing like that. But I fool with nobody at that school.
- 24:28Speaker 1: She don't mess with nobody. She owned the honor roll
- 24:30Speaker 1: and everything. I don't have no problems out of Dereka, right, okay,
- 24:37Speaker 1: let me know. Let me tell you Ms Patricia what
- 24:39Speaker 1: the problem is. See, my daughter name is Dereka so
- 24:45Speaker 1: and and it just blew me and my wife away
- 24:47Speaker 1: that it was another Dereka that went to school. Okay,
- 24:52Speaker 1: I don't know too many Derecas. That's a unique name.
- 24:54Speaker 1: That's cute, okay, right right, Well, here's the problem me
- 24:59Speaker 1: and my wife a you know, when it was time
- 25:01Speaker 1: to name my child, we thought we was really picking
- 25:03Speaker 1: a name that nobody would have a chick out for
- 25:06Speaker 1: their daughter. And to have another Dereka in the school
- 25:09Speaker 1: that blew us away. And I guess the real reason
- 25:13Speaker 1: why I'm trying to call you, miss Patricians. See if
- 25:15Speaker 1: if if there's something maybe we can work out, you know,
- 25:18Speaker 1: maybe uh, like your Derika does middle name or nicknames
- 25:24Speaker 1: she can be called by in opposed to both of
- 25:27Speaker 1: them being Dereka. You really wanted child to be the
- 25:30Speaker 1: only one with this name? Okay? Wait wait, wait, wait,
- 25:34Speaker 1: now you're calling me and you asking me to change
- 25:36Speaker 1: my baby's name. Well, I mean you you ain't really
- 25:39Speaker 1: gotta legally change I mean, but just start calling us
- 25:41Speaker 1: something else, you know? No, no, wait a minute, So
- 25:44Speaker 1: what you naming police or something? Do you know how
- 25:47Speaker 1: many and Louis and Patricia's out there? What if I
- 25:51Speaker 1: asked everything in the United States to change their name
- 25:54Speaker 1: from Patricia? You know how crazy that is? And I
- 25:57Speaker 1: understand that you must be a drugs not. What I'm
- 26:00Speaker 1: trying to say is you know this, this is something
- 26:02Speaker 1: that we really have. Our baby girl was this name
- 26:04Speaker 1: and we didn't want nobody else to have this. So
- 26:07Speaker 1: does your Derreka I have a middle name? She can?
- 26:09Speaker 1: You know we're gonna call her Dereka like we've been
- 26:12Speaker 1: calling your name your baby d D. Let's call your
- 26:15Speaker 1: baby d D. Did you change y'all, y'all change your
- 26:17Speaker 1: baby name at the school. I'm not calling I'm not
- 26:19Speaker 1: calling my name. I don't give you what you call it,
- 26:22Speaker 1: but I'm not changing my baby name. Hey listen, Okay, look,
- 26:25Speaker 1: I'm trying to call you and handle us like adults.
- 26:28Speaker 1: You know what you're seeing to see. You're gonna push
- 26:30Speaker 1: my fund. They take me to another level. Obviously, you
- 26:32Speaker 1: ain't calling me trying to handle us. It doesn't ask
- 26:34Speaker 1: me to change my baby name. Called my baby something
- 26:37Speaker 1: else at the school, cause y'all want your baby name
- 26:39Speaker 1: to be Derek and the only Dereka in the school.
- 26:42Speaker 1: You know how many other kids at the damn school
- 26:44Speaker 1: got the same name. I understand that, but for my
- 26:47Speaker 1: baby girl, and it ain't schools to be like that.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I'm saying, I'm soop to that baby girl and your wife,
- 26:53Speaker 1: but you know I'm not changing my baby damn name.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Y'all calling y'all baby D. You know what I'm trying
- 26:59Speaker 1: to do is get it rectrified that we can call
- 27:03Speaker 1: you get my phone number. I know that school ain't
- 27:05Speaker 1: give you my number. I got your numb don't worry
- 27:08Speaker 1: about how I got it. The problem is, but what
- 27:09Speaker 1: we're talking about right now? If can we what can
- 27:12Speaker 1: we start calling your child? I don't give it. I
- 27:15Speaker 1: know that school ain't called number. Listen, man, all I'm
- 27:19Speaker 1: trying to do is thick out what can we start
- 27:21Speaker 1: calling your daughter Dan? Cutting that she's been being called you?
- 27:25Speaker 1: And you're right, guy, you have statistics office and get
- 27:29Speaker 1: you there. Of the name? I kind you have to
- 27:30Speaker 1: ser the kind of names beha, but more day to
- 27:34Speaker 1: keep the same day name. Let's explain something of you.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I've been trying to be calm with you, nor shall
- 27:39Speaker 1: but if you offer something else to call on me,
- 27:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna go. I'm gonna get all you know it's number.
- 27:44Speaker 1: How do you get my not? Don't worry about how
- 27:47Speaker 1: I got the number. Listen to what I'm trying to
- 27:49Speaker 1: tell you. If you don't find another name, I'm gonna
- 27:51Speaker 1: start getting the kids to call your daughter something else.
- 27:54Speaker 1: You'll get in to call my daddy studding. I try to.
- 27:57Speaker 1: I'm with an everybody who called my boy to stop. Next,
- 28:00Speaker 1: you're going to change your baby names. I want my
- 28:03Speaker 1: baby the name to beat the Derek down. Yeah, him strongly.
- 28:09Speaker 1: My princess is supposed to be the only one named
- 28:11Speaker 1: Derek had a chain calling your baby stopping else at
- 28:14Speaker 1: the school. I'm going out of these kids starting tomorrow
- 28:18Speaker 1: at school calling your daughter else. I'm not staying on
- 28:21Speaker 1: the sign with you like this number. You hang up
- 28:23Speaker 1: off my phoney, don't come. Let me tell you something.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I got one more thing I need to say to you.
- 28:28Speaker 1: You listen to me? What are you listening to me?
- 28:32Speaker 1: I'm listening to what this is? Nephew Tommy from the

- 30:26Speaker 1: I'm about as fashionable as Kanye is black, only when
- 30:29Speaker 1: it's convenient. She said in her opening monologue that that
- 30:33Speaker 1: joke was my choice, just like slavery. Yeah. Kanye's wife

- 31:25Speaker 1: Fashion designer Kate Spade was extremely depressed in the last
- 31:29Speaker 1: days of her life because her husband wanted a divorce.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Now this is according to TMZ Andy Spade, of course,
- 31:35Speaker 1: as the brother of comedic actor David Spade. Kate and
- 31:39Speaker 1: David's brother launched Kate Spade Handbags together back in and
- 31:44Speaker 1: got married in But recently Andy was separated from his
- 31:48Speaker 1: wife Kate and he was living in a nearby apartment.
- 31:52Speaker 1: It makes her suicide note particularly interesting and possibly revealing.
- 31:57Speaker 1: She wrote to her thirteen year old daughter, Frances Beatrice,
- 32:00Speaker 1: be I have always loved you. This is not your fault,
- 32:04Speaker 1: ask daddy, Wow, you know that's kind of that's kind

- 32:13Speaker 1: All you know as as you know, that's when you
- 32:17Speaker 1: lose sight of hope. It's when you lose sight of
- 32:21Speaker 1: your God. God is always coming, Man, don't ever give
- 32:25Speaker 1: up whatever you're going through. You can't name anything you've
- 32:30Speaker 1: ever gone through that you didn't get through. If you
- 32:34Speaker 1: haven't gotten through it, you're currently being pulled through it
- 32:37Speaker 1: as we speak. You can't think of anything that you're
- 32:41Speaker 1: not on your worst moment, think of a person that
- 32:44Speaker 1: you cared about the most who left this world. Do
- 32:47Speaker 1: you know how you felt? Did not you think? Man, Man,
- 32:51Speaker 1: I ain't gonna make it. But are you not here? See?
- 32:55Speaker 1: I know that feeling, man, I know what that feels like.
- 32:58Speaker 1: That's how I know that God can bring you through anything.
- 33:02Speaker 1: You do not have to succumb to Satan. You do
- 33:05Speaker 1: not the devil. Don't have to win. He's a liar.
- 33:08Speaker 1: He does not have to win. He has no power
- 33:11Speaker 1: over you unless you give it to it. God he
- 33:14Speaker 1: is or, He is so much hope for you. If
- 33:18Speaker 1: you call on God in in your dacor's moment, he
- 33:22Speaker 1: will answer. That's his promise. He will either remove the
- 33:26Speaker 1: obstacle or give you strength to deal with one of
- 33:29Speaker 1: the two things would happen. But he will not walk
- 33:32Speaker 1: away and leave you alone. He will not. Yeah, he
- 33:35Speaker 1: will not. She was no. Man, that's really because this
- 33:41Speaker 1: suicide thing. You've gotten to a point in your life
- 33:44Speaker 1: where you don't see the goodness of God. You have
- 33:49Speaker 1: lost your focus and now the negativity is consuming you. Well, actually,
- 33:55Speaker 1: you're right, Steve, because it says she was obsessed about
- 33:58Speaker 1: the news report of Robin will him suicide Back in
- 34:01Speaker 1: two thousand fourteen. Her sister uh said that she had
- 34:05Speaker 1: a debilitating mental illness for the last three or four years.
- 34:08Speaker 1: She was self medicating with alcohol. Again, she was obsessed
- 34:12Speaker 1: with Robin Williams suicide. Um, and we all know she
- 34:15Speaker 1: hanged herself in her bathroom. All of that, all of
- 34:18Speaker 1: the people who are suffering from mental things. I'm not
- 34:23Speaker 1: I'm not an expert at that. I'm not saying that.
- 34:26Speaker 1: But if you're listening to this radio show, I am
- 34:29Speaker 1: telling you there is a God that is in the
- 34:33Speaker 1: here and answer prayer business. That's what he do. Keyword
- 34:38Speaker 1: here and answer. You can't go to God and he
- 34:43Speaker 1: turned his back on you. That's not what he does.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Such sad news man you write this note to your
- 34:49Speaker 1: little girl. How selfish is that? I love you? Why
- 34:53Speaker 1: do you stay here in Yeah? My mama, help me,
- 34:57Speaker 1: help me get this. Uh Okay, it is time to

- 35:28Speaker 1: first time drug offense. President Trump has commuted Alice Johnson

- 35:40Speaker 1: son in law, Jared Kushner, who has been overseeing the

- 35:45Speaker 1: she intends to keep fighting for people like Alice Johnson.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Way to go, Kim. On another matter, yesterday, the President
- 35:51Speaker 1: signed a major veterans Affairs Reform bill, changing the way
- 35:54Speaker 1: of in many things, but it changes also the way
- 35:57Speaker 1: the v A pays for private healthcare. Now. Critics of
- 35:59Speaker 1: this bill have complained that too much spending on outside care,
- 36:02Speaker 1: which apparently is the way it's going to go, could
- 36:04Speaker 1: drain funding from the VA's own healthcare set up rated
- 36:07Speaker 1: as good or better than the private sectors in most states.
- 36:10Speaker 1: The G seven Summit takes place this weekend amid escalating
- 36:13Speaker 1: hurt feelings and tensions over the presence decision to impose
- 36:16Speaker 1: taras on steel and aluminum products. However, the White House
- 36:19Speaker 1: Economic Advisor Larry Cutlow says this administration feels the American
- 36:23Speaker 1: worker is where the focus should be. We will do
- 36:25Speaker 1: what is necessary to protect the United States, It's businesses
- 36:28Speaker 1: and its workforce, so that we may have disagreements, we
- 36:33Speaker 1: may have tactical disagreements, but he has always said tariffs
- 36:37Speaker 1: are tool in that effort. Mexico, Canada, and the European
- 36:42Speaker 1: Union all planning to impose retaliatory levies on American goods.
- 36:45Speaker 1: The G seven Summit, by the way, taking place tomorrow
- 36:47Speaker 1: and Saturday in Quebec. The remains of a black American

- 37:00Speaker 1: a former slave who lost an eye as a child
- 37:02Speaker 1: as a result of a brutal beating by her slave master.
- 37:05Speaker 1: But after emancipation she moved to Denver. She worked as
- 37:07Speaker 1: a housekeeper for a wealthy white family and used her
- 37:10Speaker 1: salary and also sought donations to provide food, clothing, and
- 37:13Speaker 1: other things to poor whites as well as poor blacks.
- 37:16Speaker 1: She became known as the Angel of Charity. When she died,
- 37:18Speaker 1: hundreds of people attended her funeral. Black and white newspapers
- 37:22Speaker 1: wrote about it even as far as New York. As

- 39:06Speaker 1: Prince did an interview on b ET as to why
- 39:08Speaker 1: he got into the music business. Take a listen. I
- 39:13Speaker 1: got into the music business because I loved playing so much.
- 39:17Speaker 1: You don't really get into the business to be a star,
- 39:19Speaker 1: at least I didn't. I didn't get in to make
- 39:21Speaker 1: a whole bunch of money or anything like that. To
- 39:23Speaker 1: meet a whole bunch of women. Just so happens those
- 39:25Speaker 1: of the things that came along with it. Yeah, you
- 39:31Speaker 1: had clapped for your priners a couple of times. I
- 39:33Speaker 1: had about down. I took my hat off for Prince,
- 39:36Speaker 1: you know, or the purple boy. That boy right there,
- 39:41Speaker 1: he ain't I ain't never seen you with a blow ship.
- 39:43Speaker 1: He didn't even have a so so oh my head toil.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Well he was prince. Guys, Come on, were you like
- 39:51Speaker 1: what you found him? Man? Though they found him, you
- 39:54Speaker 1: heard it. When that boy left this world, the world
- 39:59Speaker 1: knew it. Not Aga Falls went purple. You got to
- 40:03Speaker 1: get two countries to come to an agreement for that
- 40:07Speaker 1: to happen. All purple lights went across Niaga Falls. Empire
- 40:12Speaker 1: State Building was purple, The White House went purple. The
- 40:15Speaker 1: dog on Eiffel Tower went purple. They put purple on
- 40:19Speaker 1: London Bridge and big Bed that boy was massive. The
- 40:25Speaker 1: tallest building in Dubai in the world, Belice, whatever they
- 40:28Speaker 1: call it, Khalif or whatever that is, that went purple.
- 40:32Speaker 1: That's when you funking man. Legends like when I die,
- 40:36Speaker 1: what they're gonna just have just just big ass lips everywhere.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Man mustache, yes, the mountain all right, coming up in
- 40:48Speaker 1: about ten minutes, guys, I'm gonna have T shirts at
- 40:54Speaker 1: the funeral with lips. Coming up in about ten minutes
- 40:58Speaker 1: thirty four. After the hour, Minneapolis legendary producers Jimmy jam
- 41:03Speaker 1: and Terry Lewis will talk about Prince's legacy, what he
- 41:05Speaker 1: meant to them. Right after this, you're listening to Steve. Okay, Steve,
- 41:11Speaker 1: as we celebrate today and what would have been Prince's
- 41:14Speaker 1: sixti if birthday. We talked to legendary producers Jimmy jam
- 41:18Speaker 1: and Terry Lewis about Prince and being for Minneapolis and
- 41:22Speaker 1: what did Prince teach them. I mean, he found the
- 41:25Speaker 1: most clever ways I've ever heard to say something really
- 41:29Speaker 1: profound in the simplest way to make us actually get
- 41:33Speaker 1: something profound and not run from it. Are not. He
- 41:37Speaker 1: didn't speak in esoteric terms as much as as some
- 41:42Speaker 1: people do, and when they're trying to say something profound,
- 41:45Speaker 1: I mean, the first time you hear it, you you
- 41:48Speaker 1: realize it's different, and you realize it's personal, and you
- 41:53Speaker 1: realize it's it's a message that's condensed. Uh. We did
- 41:58Speaker 1: a thing in I think it was Rolling Stone magazine,
- 42:02Speaker 1: and we will asked the question of what would do,
- 42:04Speaker 1: what advice would give an artist? I had these two
- 42:07Speaker 1: long paragraphs, and Prince had two words, be yourself, Be yourself.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I love that. What about you, guys, Jimmy jam Terry, Well,
- 42:25Speaker 1: when I think about Prince, Um, you know, the first
- 42:28Speaker 1: thing that comes to my mind is there's certain people
- 42:32Speaker 1: in your life, and there's very few of them that
- 42:35Speaker 1: when you achieve a level of success as we've been
- 42:38Speaker 1: blessed to do, you could honestly say it wouldn't have
- 42:42Speaker 1: happened without them. Prince is one of those people. Because Um,
- 42:50Speaker 1: Terry and I were just you know, local guys in
- 42:52Speaker 1: Minneapolis making music. Like so many other local guys in Minneapolis.
- 42:56Speaker 1: There was a lot of talented folks up there. Prince
- 42:58Speaker 1: was the one that broke through, and he broke through
- 43:01Speaker 1: in a way that was so big and so influential
- 43:04Speaker 1: it made everybody else come back and go, wait a minute,
- 43:07Speaker 1: what else is up in minneapolcs? And and what else
- 43:10Speaker 1: was us? And you know Morris Day and and Jelly B.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Johnson and all the folks you know, so, Um, Prince.
- 43:18Speaker 1: For me, it's just it's the reason that we're even
- 43:20Speaker 1: sitting here having this conversation, the reason that we're here
- 43:24Speaker 1: with people today, we're here with Steve and all you
- 43:26Speaker 1: guys today. I mean, it's as simple as that. If
- 43:28Speaker 1: it wasn't for him, there wouldn't really be in us.
- 43:32Speaker 1: We're talking about Prince and the influence he's had on
- 43:35Speaker 1: you guys lives and what do you think about him
- 43:37Speaker 1: as an artist and and all of that. His birthday
- 43:40Speaker 1: is this coming Thursday. What about you, Terry, one of
- 43:43Speaker 1: the most amazing artists ever. Um, a friend of brother.
- 43:48Speaker 1: The thing that I think he influenced us most with
- 43:51Speaker 1: is work ethic. Uh, this man worked tirelessly and Um,
- 43:57Speaker 1: he loved music probably more than life. This man was music.
- 44:03Speaker 1: That's that. That was the thing about him that I
- 44:06Speaker 1: always remember. He never stopped playing music. We would go
- 44:10Speaker 1: to rehearsal, He comes to our rehearsal, rehearsed with us,
- 44:14Speaker 1: He go to his band's rehearsal, rehearsed with them. We
- 44:17Speaker 1: go get dressed to go out at night. We play
- 44:20Speaker 1: all night, and then he come back in the morning
- 44:23Speaker 1: at our rehearsal and play us. What he recorded after
- 44:26Speaker 1: we left the club at two o'clock was wow. Yeah,
- 44:29Speaker 1: imagine somebody walking in. And this is back in the
- 44:32Speaker 1: days of cassettes for those I remember cassette. He would
- 44:36Speaker 1: walk into our rehearsal with a cassette and he go,
- 44:39Speaker 1: here's what I did last night, And all of a
- 44:41Speaker 1: sudden comes on and it's like that song Scared the
- 44:47Speaker 1: Devil end Umi. Prince was music. I think that kind
- 45:05Speaker 1: of sums it up. Yeah, yeah, but you know, I'm
- 45:12Speaker 1: gonna tell you, man, the greatest song I've ever heard
- 45:15Speaker 1: Prince do was a door and he has some great ones.
- 45:18Speaker 1: I want you to understand. Adore though, how rich that
- 45:24Speaker 1: song is. Man, ununtil the end of time, I'll be
- 45:31Speaker 1: there for you. You are my heart and mind. I
- 45:37Speaker 1: truly adore you. If God one day struck me blind
- 45:43Speaker 1: your beauty, I would still see Lord. Love is too
- 45:49Speaker 1: weak to define just what you mean to me. The
- 45:57Speaker 1: jam up next, the nephew has the prank phone call.
- 46:01Speaker 1: It's coming up right after this. You're listening to the
- 46:04Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the top of
- 46:08Speaker 1: the hour. Right about four minutes after it's Today's Strawberry Letter,
- 46:11Speaker 1: subject kind of manage. Tis save my marriage? He yes,
- 46:18Speaker 1: Oh no, you're not gonna get past talking about it.
- 46:21Speaker 1: What are we talking about? What? Everybody? Cut this up?
- 46:25Speaker 1: Right now? Right now, it is time. I'm gonna actually
- 46:31Speaker 1: let you do. Oh You're gonna regret those words, but
- 46:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna let him go ahead and do already is there? Yeah,
- 46:45Speaker 1: right now it is time for the King of pranks
- 46:47Speaker 1: and a prank phone call. What do you have for
- 46:49Speaker 1: us today, sir? Yes, corporal punished. Yes, I think it's time.
- 46:55Speaker 1: I think we bring it back. Whooping is in school
- 46:57Speaker 1: and then like whooping in school? Hello, Hello, Hi, I'm
- 47:05Speaker 1: um trying to reach the Mr Cotton. M okay, can
- 47:11Speaker 1: you turn your radio or TV down? I can't really
- 47:13Speaker 1: hear you. Um. My name is Mr Lanson. I'm actually
- 47:17Speaker 1: the new principal here at middle school. And what's the
- 47:20Speaker 1: name again, Mr Lanson? Mr? Okay, you're your son? He
- 47:25Speaker 1: attends middle school here? Am I correct? Okay? Good listen.
- 47:29Speaker 1: I'm the new principle here. We've just replaced the last
- 47:33Speaker 1: principle and I'm actually calling around. What I've done is
- 47:36Speaker 1: when I before I got here, I asked for a
- 47:38Speaker 1: list of students that were. You know, I'm not gonna
- 47:41Speaker 1: say problem with kids, but you know that kind of
- 47:44Speaker 1: get themselves in a little trouble here and there. And
- 47:46Speaker 1: your son's name happens to be on the list that, yes,
- 47:51Speaker 1: I got about thirty five kids that are actually on
- 47:53Speaker 1: this list. And you are Mr Cotton, correct, I am
- 47:57Speaker 1: Mr Cotton? I mean are we are you showing you
- 47:59Speaker 1: speaking of my son? Um? Yeah, I mean there's only
- 48:02Speaker 1: there's only one on the list, sir. It's what's been
- 48:05Speaker 1: given to me. And what what I'm doing is calling
- 48:07Speaker 1: around to all of the parents and letting you guys
- 48:10Speaker 1: know that I'm gonna be keeping a close eye on
- 48:12Speaker 1: them as well as uh, letting you know that I'm
- 48:15Speaker 1: gonna be reinstating corporal punishment here in the school. So
- 48:19Speaker 1: so what was that? That's actually where if your son
- 48:23Speaker 1: gets sent to the office, which is my office, then
- 48:25Speaker 1: there will be paddling going on. And opposed to I
- 48:28Speaker 1: don't believe in I don't believe in detention. I don't
- 48:31Speaker 1: believe in suspension. I believe in you know, if we
- 48:34Speaker 1: spank these kids, we can get them back in order. So, sir,
- 48:39Speaker 1: here's my thing. I really truly believe that we get
- 48:41Speaker 1: back to to you know, and I don't mean what
- 48:44Speaker 1: I'm about to say to be harsh, but if we're
- 48:46Speaker 1: getting back to beating, we'll get these kids back in order.
- 48:48Speaker 1: I mean, but I know he had trouble in English,
- 48:51Speaker 1: but I don't think that. No, no, no, this has
- 48:57Speaker 1: nothing to do with great, sir. This has to do
- 48:58Speaker 1: with punishment. And I'm understanding that if your son is
- 49:01Speaker 1: on my list, and if your son comes down to
- 49:04Speaker 1: my office, I'm gonna take care of it right then
- 49:06Speaker 1: and then. But if my son comes to your offer,
- 49:08Speaker 1: you're gonna be on myamns. It's sir, I'm trying to
- 49:12Speaker 1: get these kids back in order, and that's the reason
- 49:14Speaker 1: why I've been brought in and I've replaced the last principle.
- 49:16Speaker 1: You understand. So what I need from you is to
- 49:19Speaker 1: get a get a great understanding that if your child
- 49:21Speaker 1: comes to my office, corporal punishment will be what he's
- 49:25Speaker 1: going to deal with. Okay, I'll tell you what. Let
- 49:27Speaker 1: my son come home and tell me he got some
- 49:29Speaker 1: damn corporal punishment, and the next morning me and you're
- 49:32Speaker 1: gonna do some corporal punishment. Sir, Do you want your
- 49:34Speaker 1: child in order or do you want to be Bill
- 49:36Speaker 1: in his butt out of jail at the age of eight,
- 49:39Speaker 1: out of jail if you put your damn hands on
- 49:41Speaker 1: my son. Okay, are you taking care of your son
- 49:44Speaker 1: punishment wise at home? You need my son? Don't get
- 49:48Speaker 1: no damn trouble. Okay. Here, here's the problem, parents not
- 49:54Speaker 1: believing that their children get in any trouble. That's the
- 49:57Speaker 1: first pub I got email, I got on call. So
- 50:00Speaker 1: the first phone call I get this going straight there.
- 50:03Speaker 1: It ain't no letters at home, ain't no email s
- 50:05Speaker 1: at home saying that it's a problem. I don't. I don't.
- 50:08Speaker 1: I don't, sir. I'll you know. I'm gonna come down here.
- 50:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you once again, I am not going
- 50:15Speaker 1: to have send your son to detention. I'm not gonna
- 50:18Speaker 1: call you. I'm gonna take care of my job. My
- 50:21Speaker 1: job is to make I'm gonna take care of mine
- 50:22Speaker 1: when you take care of you all. I'm gonna take
- 50:24Speaker 1: care of mine. And that's protect my son. And you
- 50:27Speaker 1: put your hands on him, and we got a problem.
- 50:29Speaker 1: We're gonna have a problem because nine times I'm telling you.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Right now I'm calling you and giving you the warning
- 50:35Speaker 1: your son will be dealt with, and you're gonna be
- 50:37Speaker 1: dead with. We'll be dealt with on a regular basis
- 50:40Speaker 1: if needs to be. You're gonna get dere with on
- 50:42Speaker 1: a regular but you're gonna get tired of seeing me. Okay, sir,
- 50:45Speaker 1: Do I need to actually have corporal punishment with you?
- 50:48Speaker 1: I'll tell you what when you do, when you bring
- 50:50Speaker 1: the corporal punishment to me, you better had the police
- 50:52Speaker 1: there because they're gonna need corporal punishment. They're gonna need
- 50:55Speaker 1: whatever hell they're gonna need to you. When I get
- 50:58Speaker 1: down and you put your hands with my son, I
- 51:00Speaker 1: know that all I'm you know what, sir, Maybe maybe
- 51:02Speaker 1: maybe the swooping needs to start with you. Its a
- 51:07Speaker 1: matter of fact. What time do you go to lunch?
- 51:09Speaker 1: We can do this in front of the cape and
- 51:11Speaker 1: let all the kids see the damn principle get his
- 51:14Speaker 1: damn corporal punishment. Sir, sir, I'm not, I'm not. I don't.
- 51:17Speaker 1: I don't fear you personal because I want you to
- 51:20Speaker 1: stand in and take your like man. I don't want
- 51:23Speaker 1: to chase your winning like no little school, sir, Sir, sir.
- 51:26Speaker 1: The bottom line is corporal punishment is being in stated
- 51:30Speaker 1: your son is gonna by by. You're gonna have to
- 51:32Speaker 1: accept it, or maybe maybe you need to tell you
- 51:34Speaker 1: what you said. You got thirty fives on your list,
- 51:36Speaker 1: it better be thirty cutting man. But not being on
- 51:39Speaker 1: the corporal punishment list, I know that, sir. Listen, He's
- 51:43Speaker 1: not on a corporal punishment list. He's on a list
- 51:46Speaker 1: of kids of kids that act up from time to time.
- 51:48Speaker 1: My damn son don't act up. My son is a
- 51:50Speaker 1: model stude. He got a little trouble with English, you know,
- 51:53Speaker 1: because his mom a little slow. But that's my I
- 51:56Speaker 1: did that. You know what I'm saying. You know what,
- 51:58Speaker 1: Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to the child right now.
- 52:01Speaker 1: You talking to a grown man. And if you put
- 52:04Speaker 1: your hands on my son, you're gonna see that I'm
- 52:05Speaker 1: a grown man. When I come down, man, I put
- 52:08Speaker 1: my hands on my bam son, then I guess it's
- 52:11Speaker 1: gonna be a lot of kicking circuit. It's gonna be
- 52:13Speaker 1: some kicking, and you line them up as principle. I
- 52:19Speaker 1: come down, man. If she got something to say, you're
- 52:21Speaker 1: gonna watch your tone. You understand me, and you're gonna
- 52:24Speaker 1: you're gonna take what I'm telling you I don't grown, man,
- 52:27Speaker 1: I don't care what you're saying. Everybody's gonna bide I
- 52:30Speaker 1: put chains on the door. I make sure putting chains
- 52:34Speaker 1: on you. I'm Mr Lanson, and these kids are gonna
- 52:40Speaker 1: bide by what I want, and so are the parents.
- 52:42Speaker 1: And damn it you, Mr Cotton, You're gonna have to
- 52:45Speaker 1: toughen up and let me do my damn job. I'll
- 52:47Speaker 1: tell you what. Then you're gonna do what you got
- 52:49Speaker 1: to do today. But when I get down there, better
- 52:51Speaker 1: had a police. When I get there, I tell you
- 52:53Speaker 1: who else I'm gonna have here. If you tell me
- 52:55Speaker 1: you're gonna down that, I'm gonna have nephew timming from
- 52:59Speaker 1: the Steve Harvard on this show, because that's who I am.
- 53:02Speaker 1: Your co workers, stil But you got me to pray
- 53:05Speaker 1: phone call you. I'm gonna tell you what I'm gonna break.
- 53:16Speaker 1: Can we get laid on that down at the job
- 53:18Speaker 1: where kids? Man? I'm looking for my damn kids. When
- 53:29Speaker 1: talking with hey, listen, I got one more thing to
- 53:34Speaker 1: ask you, Mr. What's that man? What's the baddest radio
- 53:37Speaker 1: show in the lane? Many? I love y'all, man, you
- 53:49Speaker 1: think we got to bring it back what y'all think?
- 53:50Speaker 1: What's you think, Steve? Bring them back? Well, you know,
- 53:54Speaker 1: I know, time to change. I know different. We got
- 53:57Speaker 1: thanks at home because we couldn't get thanks swats school.
- 54:01Speaker 1: You got swats at school. Oh you get beat down
- 54:06Speaker 1: in the house. No, you get to swat at school
- 54:08Speaker 1: and don't tell him nothing about it. You don't know.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Your mama know you got swats school work. Let your mama.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Yeah that your your parents found out for sure. Yeah,
- 54:20Speaker 1: we had different principons. I was thinking to myself, how
- 54:23Speaker 1: did my mom find out? Because yeah, all right, nephew,
- 54:27Speaker 1: you're gonna do something for your wife. Thrower. You know
- 54:30Speaker 1: that the a ks are coming to Houston. It's called
- 54:32Speaker 1: the Blue Leg It's stay National Convention Saturday, June last seven.
- 54:36Speaker 1: This is me throwing this now. You have to you
- 54:38Speaker 1: have to, you know, let him know. This is not
- 54:40Speaker 1: an AK party. This is a nephew time. I'm hooked
- 54:42Speaker 1: up with these guys called Blazes and both Ties. And
- 54:44Speaker 1: if you time me alone with Blaze and bow Tie
- 54:46Speaker 1: a night in the city. We are at the Help
- 54:48Speaker 1: Museum in Houston, Texas. Keyword open ball. That's all I
- 54:53Speaker 1: gotta say. Go to event, right, dot com and get
- 54:55Speaker 1: your ticket open ball. I don't need to say nothing now.
- 54:58Speaker 1: It sounds like fun though. All right, thank you, nephew.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Coming up today's Strawberry Letters subject kind of manage save
- 55:07Speaker 1: my marriage. Right after this, you're listening to the Steven Show.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Before we get to the Strawberry Letter. Guys, the subject
- 55:15Speaker 1: today kind of manage to save my marriage. Oh, Tommy, sorry,
- 55:20Speaker 1: go ahead, I'm sorry, I interrupted. Go ahead, go ahead.
- 55:23Speaker 1: We have to talk about this really great movie that's
- 55:25Speaker 1: getting ready to come out. And I'm excited about this
- 55:28Speaker 1: movie because I've seen them all. Okay, all of the
- 55:31Speaker 1: Stars is born the first time up like that, A
- 55:36Speaker 1: star is born? Oh my gods. One was it was
- 55:40Speaker 1: with Judy Garland. Yeah, Judy Garland and James Mason. That's
- 55:46Speaker 1: the one I saw. Then it was Barbara Streisan and
- 55:49Speaker 1: Chris Christopher. That was That was the one I saw.
- 55:52Speaker 1: But when you throw in Brandley Cooper, now I love
- 55:57Speaker 1: persing piercing blue eyes. He had I didn't they say
- 56:00Speaker 1: he could. Actually he's a he's a legitimate singer. He's
- 56:03Speaker 1: a musician. Not to mention, he's a writer, producer, and director.
- 56:07Speaker 1: A lot of talent going right, there and Lady Gaga.
- 56:10Speaker 1: We all know that she can act. I think she's
- 56:12Speaker 1: a bag. Yeah, she's quite a performer. But let's not
- 56:15Speaker 1: you know, well, we're not gonna do it. Act like.
- 56:20Speaker 1: We gotta support and cast up in here a Sam Elliot, Yeah,
- 56:26Speaker 1: he's a great actor. Great boys, great boy. And Andrew
- 56:29Speaker 1: Dice Clay kidding. Yeah, that's really cool. This is a
- 56:35Speaker 1: stellar cast. The film looks incredible, powerful for both men
- 56:39Speaker 1: and women. I'll say that. Uh, and it just gives
- 56:42Speaker 1: you a reason. I think this is kind of a
- 56:44Speaker 1: date night movie. I look forward to sing Lady Gaga though, yeah,
- 56:47Speaker 1: because I think she screens. Yeah, I think she can
- 56:50Speaker 1: really bring this character to life. She's an artist, she is, Yeah,
- 56:55Speaker 1: and she can of course really act. Bradley and Gaga,
- 56:57Speaker 1: I like it. Well, a star is born coming to
- 56:59Speaker 1: a the it or near you real soon. I love it.
- 57:05Speaker 1: Tommy is doing today's Strawberry Letta. I've never turned over
- 57:09Speaker 1: to strawberry never, but this one right here, this is
- 57:13Speaker 1: I want us. I want people to see jazz. How
- 57:17Speaker 1: much trouble you can get in with your damn mouth.
- 57:20Speaker 1: Buggal up, hold on tight, we gotta pull you here.
- 57:23Speaker 1: It is Strawberry Letta. I know subject kind of manage
- 57:28Speaker 1: TOI save my marriage. Dear Stephen Shirley, I have known
- 57:34Speaker 1: my husband for twenty years and we've been married for
- 57:37Speaker 1: three years. He cheated on me multiple times with multiple women,
- 57:41Speaker 1: but I'm standing by my wedding vows. I always prayed
- 57:45Speaker 1: that the Good Lord would see us through his infidelity,
- 57:49Speaker 1: and now we're rebuilding our marriage. Not many women would
- 57:52Speaker 1: be as forgiving as I am. Having said all of that,
- 57:56Speaker 1: I still have plenty of good sense and I've reached
- 57:58Speaker 1: my limit on foolishness, So you can only imagine how
- 58:02Speaker 1: I felt recently when my husband asked me for a threesome. Yes,
- 58:07Speaker 1: he asked me more than once to have another woman
- 58:10Speaker 1: join us in the bedroom. He said that it will
- 58:13Speaker 1: keep him from fantasizing about other women and having the
- 58:17Speaker 1: urge to cheat. I told him he needs professional help
- 58:20Speaker 1: and a better relationship with the Lord. He told me
- 58:23Speaker 1: that I need to obey him like I obey the Lord,
- 58:26Speaker 1: and give him what he wants. Like I said, I
- 58:30Speaker 1: stand by my vows, and I do submit and obey
- 58:32Speaker 1: my husband to an extent, but this time he has
- 58:36Speaker 1: gone too far. The God that I served would not
- 58:40Speaker 1: condone this. I don't want to lose my marriage, but
- 58:43Speaker 1: this man may need more than I can give him.
- 58:45Speaker 1: Please help me figure this one out. Wow. And as
- 58:49Speaker 1: we mentioned earlier, Steve will not be responding. Tommy will Jesus,
- 58:55Speaker 1: You're gonna have to I can, okay? All right? All right,
- 59:00Speaker 1: Well you know what you ask for us to Please
- 59:02Speaker 1: help you figure this one out. I think you know
- 59:05Speaker 1: in your heart of hearts you you already have this
- 59:08Speaker 1: figured out. You know what the deal is. Uh, you
- 59:11Speaker 1: just want Steve and I to confirm it for you.
- 59:14Speaker 1: I mean, you have to ask yourself wedding vows aside
- 59:17Speaker 1: for a second, why are you still taking this, this
- 59:20Speaker 1: cheating and these ridiculous requests from your husband? I mean,
- 59:25Speaker 1: why are you still standing in all of this? Your
- 59:27Speaker 1: husband is disrespectful, he's selfish, uh, and has obviously no
- 59:32Speaker 1: regard for you, your marriage or your marriage vows. Just
- 59:35Speaker 1: because you've known him for twenty years and have been
- 59:38Speaker 1: hanging in there, it doesn't mean you can't put his
- 59:40Speaker 1: trifling but in his place. Let him know how you
- 59:43Speaker 1: really really feel, just like you told us in the letter.
- 59:46Speaker 1: I mean, you're right, not many women would be as
- 59:48Speaker 1: forgiving as you are. Uh so many women are, though,
- 59:52Speaker 1: But I you know, this is a lot. Twenty years,
- 59:55Speaker 1: he's been cheating on you with multiple women, and you're
- 59:57Speaker 1: still there. I mean, I just don't know how much
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: more you think you can take. I mean, or are
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: you willing to take? Why are you willing to take this?
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: You don't have to. You don't have to. There is
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: nothing in the marriage violence that say you have to
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: stay here if he's cheating on you like this. This
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: is ridiculous. Um, you know, like I said, I think
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: you figured this out on your own. You know what
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: to do. You just want Steve and I to confirm it.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: If he continues to do this, you got to get
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: out of this. I think you made a good suggestion.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: He does need professional help and a better relationship with
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: the Lord. Having said that, Tommy, you're up. Glad you've
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: finished with the Lord. Obeyed me the Lord like you
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: obey the Lord, obey me the same way. What do
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: the vials say? What do they say? And oh, bait,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: don't they say that? Yeah? A lot of women don't
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: keep those in there, though, But but they But so,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: you can't just take out what you want, so let
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: me say this to you. Get some old people in
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: this room. I didn't ask for it and ask for
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: na I quit flirting with other women. If you do what,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: get some more paper in this room. I apologize for
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: the twenty of disrespecting you and cheating. I'm asking you
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: not so I don't have to cheat on you. We
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: do this together. You want to do stuff together, Let's
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: do stuff together. Get some more people in this room.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: That's what I want. I'm asking you to your faith
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: for a manage whatever they called it, creo, it's what
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I want. Threesome. Yes, asking you for Oh I hope
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: she listening this morning? Another thank the cheat didn't stop.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: And soon as you get somebody in this room, we
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: could do it together. So it's okay to cheat as
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: long as you're in thee together. This is fun. This
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: is this channel. This is ansome. Yeah. Yeah, what kind
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: of else do you want? What you want me to
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: say to? Oh? He wronged? You shouldn't be asking you.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: He's down the question. Steve is wrong for letting you
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: do this. This is a beautiful thing. We got to
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: get it all out in the open. You understand that
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: that's how naked gets better when you get it out
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: and open. You ain't felt naked till you out there
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: comfortable with yourself and see out there with naked together,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: and we're inviting friends over. Come on you understanding, Come
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: on over to the high. We're gonna have food, We're
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: gonna have oh drinks, We're gonna be naked. All that's
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: gonna be in there together having what butt naked fun?
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: I've never been butt naked not having fun? Tell me that.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: But if what she don't know it, if she don't
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: try it, if she wants this to work, she love
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: him me, she don't want to leave to your body.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: What did she say? I'm standing by my wedding vows. Yes,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: you are standing by your man, baby, staying by your
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: man naked naked els, wasn't it. I'm trying to say
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: something profile Yeah, we'll be hopefully see if you can
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: help after the hours when we'll be back with this
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: strawberry letter, subject of manage twice, save my marriage. You're
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: listening string show this strawberry letter the subject kind of
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: manage twice save my marriage? Please. Let's first of all,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: it's a ridiculous statement for this woman to make. She's
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: been with this husband for twenty years. They've been married
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: three He's cheated on her multiple times with multiple women.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: You are she standing by her wedding vows. She's prayed
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: that the Good Lord would see us through this infidelity.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Now they're rebuilding their marriage, and she realized that not
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: many women would be as forgiven as I am. Having
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: said that, uh, and she still got plenty good sense.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: She has reached a limit of foolishness, so I can
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: only imagine how we felt when he recently asked her
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: for a threesome. He asked this lady more than once
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: to have another woman join us in the bedroom. He
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: said it will keep him from fantasizing about other women
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: and having the urge to cheat. She told him he
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: needs professional help and a better relationship with the Lord.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: He told her that I need to obey him like
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: I obey the Lord and give him what he wants. Well,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: the lady then said, I stand by my vials, and
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: I do submit and obey my husband to an extent,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: but this time he's gone too far. God I served
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: would not condone this. I don't want to lose my marriage.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: That's a key line here. But this man may need
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: more than I can give him. Please help me figure
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: this out. It's nothing to figure this out. Listen to me.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: First of all, you're the only one honoring the vials
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: in this relationship. You're the only one. He has never
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: honored the vials and he's not willing to honor him. Now,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: you don't really have a real marriage. You have something,
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: but he's not married to you. You're just married to him.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: Not a cold part about this, dude, is he didn't
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: ask you to have a threeson And the reason he
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: told you that because it would keep him from fantasizing
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: about other women and having the urge to cheat. What
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: so you think if you bring another woman in the
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: bedroom and will stop you from fantasizing about him and
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: it cause you not to want to cheat when the
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: whole time you in that living out of fantasy and
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: cheating and your wife watching boy bye, I mean for real,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: are you serious? So what this man has done, he's
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: pulled to Donald Trump on you. He has flipped the narrative.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: He actually got you thinking that it's because of you
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: that he's having to fantasize and cheat. And if you
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: wanted to stop, you would bring in a third party.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Then you would have your husband not cheating and fantasizing.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: But the whole time he played living out of fantasy.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: And he's cheating right in front of you with your permission. Lady,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: You're not that stupid. You can't be. And then he
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: keeps talking about you should obey him the way you
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: obey the lord. What the boy? You ain't the lord?
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: You ain't even close. Here's the problem with the bringing
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: the woman into the marriage that's already in trouble. How
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: do you fix what's wrong with another wrong? He's not
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: trying to fix his marriage. He's trying to get all
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: his urges and fantasies ful field and they don't include you.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: They include other women. I can't believe you, entertainment. I
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: can't believe you still mad to Why are you married
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: to him? It's only but y'all only got twenty years invested.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: My question is why don't you leave so you can
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: stop this misery you in and do you want twenty
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: more years of this? Because that's all he's trying to do.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: He needs to be married to a striple. Yeah, you
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: need to go down there and just get one of
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: them girls down off the pole that he don't mind
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: doing this way and that that that that look man
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: that work with you, they will work with you. This
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: is so sad, and I want to apologize for my
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: damn nephew. I'm so soy. But meanwhile, around this country,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: I'm just telling me, they're blowing their horn up on
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: this with him, can you Now? A lot of them
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: can't say it at the house, but a bunch of
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: them in their car right now. You know what they're doing.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Why are they blowing their horn? They're blowing their horn
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: because I see it. If you are a brother, that's
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: a man is riding around right now, you would like
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: to have a threesome at the high Nanny, blow your horn.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: That's all I said. And they are blowing and that
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: is so crazy. Get your life, get some lord in
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: your life. All right, we'll see. We gotta get out
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: of here. Um. You can email us or instagram at

- 1:08:57Speaker 1: out for the most confusing thing happens most of damn
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: confusing things. I didn't know how to do it. I
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: needed some instruction. I need a manual. When I was
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: in there, but I didn't know. We've been kissing for
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: five seconds. I'm gonna kiss off five. I was back
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: and forth. I was I was so tired of turning
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: over in the bed, exhausted. Funny stories ever too, from
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: side to side. I was something people was exhausted, and
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: I ain't even like one of them just time with
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: the other tapping me. I'm gonna hold up. But let

- 1:09:39Speaker 1: was like the greatest thing? Oh you could dog? I
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: thought this was it the pinnacle. He had reached it
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: and then you got there, lord man there myself even

- 1:11:18Speaker 1: to the White House and see if he can wipe

- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Or send Kim me man. Listen, I know I got

- 1:12:40Speaker 1: maybe Julie Chen could teach me some Mandarin so that
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: I would learn how to do it, because she's Chinese too. Yes,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: she might. My friends and she would teach me how
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: to function over there and every joy. Absolutely, maybe I

- 1:15:35Speaker 1: something that kill. Yeah, man, yeah I can. It'll be
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: calling me in the middle of the night. You know,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: you have a drink something out your refrigerator with the

- 1:16:00Speaker 1: special do that? Yeah? That wow? But a little bit
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: go down your cheen and drip on your chest, yes, Lord.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: And then and then after you get that good swallett,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: you gotta pick up a cold piece of chicken and
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: eat it over the slink. So look at the girl girl,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: I could go, Steve me before I mess up my
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: good CBS job. Crazy. Wow, she is crazy. So you
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: did that before, Steve, drink something out of the refrigerator.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: My daddy did it. Everything in his drawers walking to
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: the refrigerator drinking out that water. Job that ju was
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: post a poe into a glass. Yeah, but they could
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: do it, but let a kiss you and you wanted
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: to do it. And I saw my daddy drinking out
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: the orange juice one time, but you wanted to you did,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: they were gone. I did it one time. My mama
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: came up behind me. My mama hit me so hard
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: in the back of the head. I threw that whole
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: half gown of trafic can up in that damn refrigerate
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: was spilling there, trying to pick it up because I
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: know I'm don't get a deeper ask if I'm still
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: along the stuff she got. You're just sitting here, just
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: wasting on juice like you're working. And that tropic cana

- 1:17:59Speaker 1: Marie Johnson a sixty three year old grandmother serving life
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: behind bars for cocaine trafficking. This was her first offense
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: and the clemency grant comes only one week after Kim

- 1:20:12Speaker 1: be the Kardashians. But they couldn't do it. It was
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: gonna be just Kim, Mom and the girl. They canceled
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: the day before. So Kanye said, man, could I do
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: it all? We wanted to play Few, and Kim told me,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: says Steve, he watched his family Few every day. Every
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: day He'd be just setting up the holland laugh. And
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: so he said, what I'll do is I'll bring my
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: family and me and Kim will be on one side
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: against uh Chris, their grandmother and the girls. So they
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: said cool. But when they found out, they counseled Kim
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: called the dude in Miami to ask him to come
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: and do it because they thought there was gonna be
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: a person short. Well that made too many people, and
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: he came. He's of a kind of guy. All the
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: dude out of Miami. You come to guilt, just in there,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: just making demands. I'm just looking at him. I've never
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: seen him in my life. I know you're talking about. Okay, well,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: this is going to be off the chain. Everybody's covering it.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: We're gonna be watching the Sunday Celebrity Family Feud season premier.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: Can't wait, can't wait? Alright, Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Here we go, guys. Oh my goodness, Carla, I'm telling
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: you so much. Mama D is recovering. Remember I tell
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: you she had the grandmother makeover, classic surgery and all that. Well,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: Ernest is back. Yes, Ernest kno, Yes, Ernest and Mama D.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: According to Mama D, they met with their pastor and
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: they're trying to fix their marriage. Remember it was rumors
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: that Ernest had drug problems. And all that where he's
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: back and he's back at the house helping to take
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: care of Mama d while she's recovering, and she's getting
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: on his nerves because she recovering grandmother makeover, plastic surgery.
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: She had a lot of plastic. They've been talking yeah,
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: yeahs done her but done he done. Done. Yeah. So
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: Ernest is showing up good. Yeah, a lot of nipping
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: that hurt. Yeah, yeah, an she says it hurt. No, no,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: don't hurt. Surgery is so yeah, it feels good. It's minor. No,
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: it feels good. But this is what I want to
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: get to check this out. Guys. You know Rashida she
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: has a boutique and she opened up her boutique Preston Houston,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: and she flew the crew down and everybody, the cast.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: They were there to support her grand opening of her boutique.
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: And this is the issue that I'm having with this
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: whole situation. You remember last season Rashida and her husband
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: Kirk Kirk cheated on her and had a baby, had
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: a love child. Well, the girl that at the Mistress,
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: she's the baby Mama Jasmine. This girl shows up to
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: Houston to this event that Rashida is having to want
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: to apologize to Rashida for everything that you know what
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: went down. And I will say this, what you cannot
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: do is having an affair with my husband, have a baby,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: and then keep popping up at my place of business.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: That's what you can't do. You just cannot keep doing this.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: And this young woman has been very, very disrespectful to Rashida.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: But I will say this, Rashida handled shed. She handled her.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: She told Kirk, she told her husband, you go sit
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: down and let me talk to her. Because Rashida is
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: a grown woman. And so she let this young girl know,
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: you're gonna stop. You're gonna stop disrespecting me. You're gonna
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: stop disrespecting my children, putting my children on social media,
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: popping up at my place of business. So I have
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: to give high fire to Rashida. She was an emotional
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: about it. She was cool, she was about No. No,
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: she didn't because that's what I was screaming at the TV.
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: But it was the opening of her store and everything's
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: good to go there. She didn't want to do all that. Yeah,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: I don't. I don't watch this, but she is so
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: flat man, that's why she opened a boutique and she'd
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: be shot many. Yeah. She has great styles, yeah yeah,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: yeah yeah. Man, she's a really flat lady. Man, I
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: don't understand. Yeah yea, So we gotta go. You want
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: to comment, hit me up on lips by Carla. Y'all
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: know I'm trying to build my Instagram back up, so
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: follow me. Lips by Carla will be back at twenty.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. A Bible that Whitney
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: Houston left behind when she moved out of her Newport
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Beach luxury rental is now being sold by her former landlord.
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: Guess for how much? Thousand dollars? Okay Whitney? Ye yes, yes.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: Whitney rent at the home for two thousand nine to
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: two thousand eleven. The owner says he found the Bible
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: in a box, along with some clothes and c d
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: s by the trash after she'd moved out. He says
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: he had signed an n d A and contacted Houston's
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: agent about the left behind items, but was told he
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: could keep them. The Bible, which is being sold through
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: Moments in Time, has Whitney's handwriting all over it, so
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: I guess it is hers? Uh? There are pages documenting
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: life events. For instance, under marriage, Whitney scribbled in her
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: name and Robert B. Brown and the date July eighteenth,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: which matches up. Under births it lists Bobby Christina and
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: her birthday March fourth. So I guess it is so
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: wow dollars King Jane. It doesn't say which version, so
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: stupid the new what they're calling that's you. We don't
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: know one of you know. It didn't say no, it's
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: just witness Bible. Okay, yeah, So if I get a
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: Bible one of the hotels and say this Rick Jane Bible,
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: I can get some money for that. Well, did you
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: hear what I said? It had her handwriting all over it.
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: It had her marriage date in there where your Bible left?
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: I know I get and you live in too. What
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: it gets you to sign this word? I ain't got
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: no writing in mind. You ain't got no you. You
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: can get any Bible here. You ain't got no phone,
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: and man, I ain't got ain't a feeling that no
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: high life, right Crowler, No one of your favorite verses.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: Ain't nobody in there born? And the date and you
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: and Margery got married, d Winton was born. None of
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: that kids, all of that, none of that. Huh, I
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: get your bible? What do you think he would go? Man,
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna start it to fift me a quarter of
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: a million dollars. Well, Steve, Bible, let me tell you something.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: This somebody who the Lord, no person in this man everything?
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: You know what I mean? If people won't get a
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: hold to this Bible? What you put your hand on this?
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: He didn't get the talking to it and get all leaves, blessings,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: this board and guy, this the Bible that's been brought
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: clothing lines and TV show. We're talking about bad Bible.
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: Bible and brought planes and stuff, rodey yachts and stuff.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: What are we talking about? This is a different kind
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: of Bible. You don't understand what I'm talking about. And
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: you want to roll roy and get ahold this Bible.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: Get a hold to it. I'm telling you right now,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: get a hold to this Bible. Put your hand on
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: it is ask him, I just want one TV show?
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: Won't do it? Really won't go to break? Don't do that,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: all right? See maybe shame and your blessing. I won't
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: be shame. By two y quarter of a million, that's
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: a lot of money, money, But tell something, some people
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: come together, put their money on a pool and get
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: this bip blessings go around. All right, we'll be back
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: with more of this foolishness right after this. You're listening
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Today would have been Prince's
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: sixtieth birthday and coming up in about twenty minutes. I know,
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: I know, Minneapolis Zone legendary producers Jimmy jam and Terry
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: Lewis are going to talk about Prince's legacy and what
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: he meant to them. Um, so stick around for that, please,
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: very insightful. Yeah uh And Entertainment news, fashion designer Kate
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: Spade was extremely depressed in the last days of her
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: life because her husband wanted a divorce. Now this is
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: according to TMZ Andy Spade, of course, as the brother
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: of comedic actor David Spade. Kate and David's brother launched
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: Kate Spade Handbags together back in and got married in
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: But recently Andy was separated from his wife Kate and
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: he was living in a nearby apartment. It makes her
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: suicide note particularly interesting and possibly revealing. He wrote to
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: her thirteen year old daughter Francis Beatrix B I have
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: always loved you. This is not your fault. Ask Daddy, Wow,
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: that's I don't I don't know that you know as
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: as you know, that's when you lose sight of hope.
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: It's when you lose sight of your God. God is
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: always coming. Man, don't ever give up whatever you're going through.
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: You can't name anything you've ever gone through that you
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: didn't get through. If you haven't gotten through it, you're
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: currently being pulled through it as we speak. You can't
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: think of anything that you're not on your worst moment,
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: think of a person that you cared about the most
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: who left this world. Do you know how you felt?
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: Did not you think? Man? Man, I ain't gonna make it.
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: But are you not here? See? I know that feeling, man,
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: I know what that feels like. That's how I know
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: that God can bring you through anything. You do not
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: have to succumb to Satan. You do not the devil.
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: Don't have to win. He's a liar. He does not
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: have to win. He has no power over you unless
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: you give it to it. God he is or he
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: is so much hope for you. If you call on
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: God in your doctor's moment, he will answer. That's his promise.
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: He will either remove the obstacle or give you strength
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: to deal with it. One of the two things would happen.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: But he will not walk away and leave you alone.
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: He will not. Yeah, he will not. She was no, man,
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: that's really because this suicide thing. You've gotten to a
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: point in your life where you don't see the goodness
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: of God. You have lost your focus, and now the
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: negativity is consuming you. Yeah. Well, actually you're right, Steve,
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: Because it says she was obsessed about the news report
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: of Robin Williams suicide back in two thousand fourteen. Her
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: sister uh said that she had a debilitating mental illness
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: for the last three or four years. She was self
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: medicating with alcohol. Again, she was obsessed with Robin Williams suicide. Um,
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: and we all know she hanged herself in her bathroom.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: All of that. The people who are suffering from mental things,
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not an expert at that. I'm not
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: saying that. But if you're listening to this radio show,
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: I am telling you that is a God that is
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: in the here and answer prayer business. That's what he do.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: Keyword here and answer. You can't go to God. And
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: he turned his back on you. That's not what he does.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: Such sad news, man, you write this note to your
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: little girl. How selfish is that? Alright, Steve, coming up
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: our last break of the day, closing remarks, Okay, get
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: ready people. Right after this you're listening to okay Steve,
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: as we celebrate today and what would have been Prince's
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: sixtieth birthday. But you know, I'm gonna tell you, man,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: the greatest song I've ever heard Prince do was a Door,
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: and he has some great ones. I want you to understand,
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: adore though, how rich that song is. Man, till the
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: end of time, I'll be there for you. You are
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: my heart and mind. I truly adore you. If God
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: one day struck me blind your beauty, I would still
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: see Lord. Love is too weak to define just what
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: you mean to me. Sounding like that? Don't sound like that?
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: Uh the jam man being man? That's I cut. I
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: sang that too at the Apollo one night, really at
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: the Apollo Theater at the Paddi La Belle Appreciation. When
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: Prince came backstage, didn't nobody know he was coming. He
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: tapped me on the show and he said, what's up?
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: I turned around, I said, oh, hell, hell, no, pivot
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: as print. I used to call it pivot as. Don't
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: call me that. Damn no, what is you? Then got
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: the high heel shoes on that ain't pippot Bill Bottoms.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: The head boy was cold. He said, uh, I just
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: had to come to do something for Patty Man, but
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: I want to surprise. How you think all to do it?
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: I said, man, well listen. And then Mariah Carry was backstage.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: She saw Prince. She said, oh my god. I mean
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: she lost it because she was next. But Prince just
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: wanted to pop in and do something and leave, so
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: he wanted to go up before Mariah car Maria caressing,
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: oh god, you can't do that to me. You can't
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: do that to me. I can't follow you. Mariah told
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: her people. She said, y'all got to give me some
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: more glitt. I need some more hel She was clowning,
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: you know. But man, it was such a huge moment
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: to see this megastar. Murah Carry really tripping over Prince
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: because Prince is like the lick man. You know it,
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: dog dog dog. It's Michael and Prince. Yeah, you know
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: when I'm talking about. So they talked Ryan, They're going
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: on out there, doing her things. She went on out
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: there doing nothing. She said, thank you so much. You're
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: gonna ruin my neck. Don't worry about it, baby, He says, Steve,
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: what you think, dude? I said, just what y'all to do? Man,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell him to cut the house lights. You
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: go in the middle of the stage and then pop
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: a pose and then we're gonna hit the light on you.
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: He said, oh, that's I like that. I'm gonna do
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: it just like that. This dude. We because dude was
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: standing right next to me. He said, hit the houselight.
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: Prince walked out that he had a cane with him.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: He popped up poles his silhouette and you could hear
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: the crowd going. Man that looked like Prince Boy. That
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: spotlight hit. He popped the cane on the ground. It flipped.
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: He did a spin and caught the cane and stood
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: there looking at him. The apollo told that, damn theater up.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: I'm telling my man, they went straight jack crazy one
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: of them. I was, man, I've seen two great surprise moments.
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: I was at the BT Award when it was on
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: in James Brown and Michael Jackson came that I got
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: that picture on my phone of us backstage. I got
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: that picture on my phone, says Steve. I don't know
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: what to do. I just want to surprise you, I
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: said Macie. I said, when you go out there and
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: put the cape on James, can Michael take it out
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: to him and put on He said, I believe that
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: would be perfect my part. Now he please, please, please,
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: please please ease, Doe go baby, I'm begging you please.
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: He was on his knees. Mike walked out there with
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: that cape. M hm. The Kodak theater exploded that I
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: was watching. He laid that cape on James Brown, and
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: he laid him on different than he normally get it
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: laid on. Man. James looked up at him. Man. They
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: stood up and hug man. That was one of the
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: great moments all that. Man. I man, I thank God, Man,
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: I thank God for letting me see some of the
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: stuff out of see yeah, the one for God, I
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: wouldn't see none of this. Man might still be living
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: in that carf It wasn't for the Lord plan right
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: of that. I was here that essence, Tommy Prince, oh
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: my god. Matter of fact, you remember m real pretty
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: girl Jane I'm on Nick. He was performed, she was performing,
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: she was rocking, and this guy would just get to

- 1:38:04Speaker 1: jamming in the whole place was jumping, and that dude
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: with to get to our turned around and it was print. Yeah.
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: His his live shows were unbelievable, like nothing you've ever
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: seen nothing, I mean, just great. He was in that
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: super Dome and it was his turn to perform, and
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: those lights went out and he said, dearly beloved. My
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: husband was screaming and like, lose your mind running. We
