- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, Come on dig me now, one
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only Steve Harley got a radio show today? Is it? Everybody?
- 2:12Speaker 1: On a real positive note? Today? Is it? Today? Is
- 2:17Speaker 1: the day? You know, when I was in high school,
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know, my mother was a Sunday school teaching until
- 2:22Speaker 1: she passed. I would walk out the door every morning
- 2:26Speaker 1: on my way to school, and my mother used to say,
- 2:29Speaker 1: listen to me, son, hey, don't forget today is the
- 2:32Speaker 1: day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and
- 2:34Speaker 1: be glad in it. And you know, I ain't think
- 2:37Speaker 1: much of it. You know, it's just my mama being religious,
- 2:40Speaker 1: you know, mom, spiritual woman. So you know I just
- 2:42Speaker 1: took it as dad. But as I've gotten older, man,
- 2:45Speaker 1: you know that's registered more and more with me. Today
- 2:48Speaker 1: is the day that the Lord has made. Let us
- 2:50Speaker 1: rejoice and be glad in it. That's pretty cool, man.
- 2:53Speaker 1: What better blessing will you get throughout the day than
- 2:58Speaker 1: the fact that he allowed you to live see another day?
- 3:01Speaker 1: See sometimes, man, when you're young, you don't pay no
- 3:04Speaker 1: attention to that. But all you got to do is
- 3:06Speaker 1: keep living, keep watching some people that you know not
- 3:10Speaker 1: be here anymore. Go to class reunions and they're smaller.
- 3:14Speaker 1: See people that you really loved. It meant a lot
- 3:16Speaker 1: till you leave this world, and all of a sudden, man,
- 3:19Speaker 1: immortality starts to matter a great deal to you. Some
- 3:24Speaker 1: of us learned this lesson sooner than others. But I know,
- 3:27Speaker 1: when you're young, man, you know you think you're gonna
- 3:29Speaker 1: be here for a while. You think you got time
- 3:30Speaker 1: to play around, You think you got time to get
- 3:33Speaker 1: it together, you got time to make the mistakes. And
- 3:35Speaker 1: but man, oh man, almost every full blown adult that
- 3:39Speaker 1: I know will tell you and have said these words
- 3:41Speaker 1: right here many times. And I went, see the reason
- 3:44Speaker 1: I'm saying this because I want you to hear them,
- 3:46Speaker 1: because you're gonna use them. If I only knew then
- 3:49Speaker 1: what I know. Now. Do you know how many people
- 3:52Speaker 1: have said those words right there? Because in time, man,
- 3:55Speaker 1: you gain so much wisdom. Oh but it ain't like
- 3:58Speaker 1: nobody didn't tell you though. Somebody told you back then.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Hey man, it's best to buckle down now, he said,
- 4:04Speaker 1: Hey man, you better quit wasting time. Hey, look, do
- 4:07Speaker 1: your best at all the times. You know, stop stop
- 4:10Speaker 1: worrying about that. I'm telling you, son, in a minute,
- 4:12Speaker 1: them clubs ain't gonna mean nothing to you. In a minute,
- 4:15Speaker 1: they're going out all the time, ain't gonna mean nothing
- 4:17Speaker 1: to you. I can't tell you how many times I
- 4:19Speaker 1: repeat it to my kids. But man, today is a
- 4:22Speaker 1: different day, because today is the day that the Lord
- 4:25Speaker 1: has made. So he gave you a shot today. If
- 4:27Speaker 1: you woke up this morning, or if you're finishing your
- 4:30Speaker 1: day on your shift, he gave you a new day.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Nothing bigger than the fact that he woke you up today. Now,
- 4:38Speaker 1: why don't you do something about that? Why don't you
- 4:41Speaker 1: take advantage of it? How About if you start today?
- 4:43Speaker 1: How About if you stop hesitating today. How about if
- 4:46Speaker 1: you stop delaying it today? How about if you stop
- 4:48Speaker 1: procrastinating today. How About if you make today to day
- 4:51Speaker 1: that you go forward. I mean, man, let's all just
- 4:54Speaker 1: decide today, let's go for it. Let's put forth a
- 4:58Speaker 1: maximum effort today. I mean, really, man, what you're doing
- 5:01Speaker 1: you look, man, take advantage of this blessing of waking up,
- 5:05Speaker 1: do something today. If you would just start the process, man,
- 5:09Speaker 1: start that business you always dreamed of. Go looking to
- 5:12Speaker 1: that other job you always yearn for. Go get the
- 5:15Speaker 1: training you need to get the promotion. Man, going back
- 5:18Speaker 1: to school. Man, go see what you need to do
- 5:20Speaker 1: to lift yourself to the next level. Stop waking up
- 5:23Speaker 1: every day seeing high it's gonna go, and start waking
- 5:27Speaker 1: up and do something about how it goes. If you
- 5:29Speaker 1: make one step, he'll make two. But you could people
- 5:32Speaker 1: talk about all the time, man, it seems like you're
- 5:34Speaker 1: always getting a blessing. Oh man, when you're talking to
- 5:37Speaker 1: a person, listen to this. If you're talking to a
- 5:39Speaker 1: person and it seems like there's always a blessing coming
- 5:43Speaker 1: his way, let me tell you what that person doing.
- 5:45Speaker 1: That person is putting one foot in front of the next.
- 5:48Speaker 1: That person is putting forth some efforts out there. And
- 5:52Speaker 1: that's the only way God can bless you. God can
- 5:54Speaker 1: only bless you with your efforts. He can only put
- 5:57Speaker 1: his finger on the thing that you are doing or attempting.
- 6:03Speaker 1: That's all he could help you with. He that are
- 6:06Speaker 1: no jobs walking up to your door, knocking on your door.
- 6:09Speaker 1: But if you're beating the payment, if you're sending in
- 6:11Speaker 1: the apps, if you online scouring somewhere to work, somewhere
- 6:14Speaker 1: to get a job, then God can touch somebody's hard
- 6:17Speaker 1: to hire you. But if you're sitting at the house
- 6:19Speaker 1: every day, smoke every day, drinking. But you wondered why
- 6:24Speaker 1: you just can't get a job the couple times you
- 6:26Speaker 1: don't want out there, you got to If you ain't
- 6:27Speaker 1: got a job, you gotta go get one every day.
- 6:30Speaker 1: You got to go look for one every single day.
- 6:33Speaker 1: You can't take no days off. How about today? How
- 6:36Speaker 1: about today? If we decide today is a day that
- 6:39Speaker 1: we're gonna make the move. Today is the day that
- 6:41Speaker 1: we stop delaying, hesitating, procrastinating. Today is to day that
- 6:45Speaker 1: we take a step in the direction to do something
- 6:48Speaker 1: for ourselves, for our lives, for our family, for our wives,
- 6:51Speaker 1: for our children, for our community, for our school. Do
- 6:55Speaker 1: something today, for crying out loud, man, stop sitting in
- 6:59Speaker 1: your own own life. In just a stew of misery
- 7:03Speaker 1: in your own life. I'm gonna tell you something. If
- 7:06Speaker 1: you are in a state of confusion, if you are troubling,
- 7:09Speaker 1: if you're stuck on what to do next, you let
- 7:12Speaker 1: me tell you what's happening. You're not doing enough. That's
- 7:15Speaker 1: what it is. Man. See when I get in a place, man,
- 7:20Speaker 1: where I don't know what the next move is, it's
- 7:23Speaker 1: because out unusually stalled out. See, this is the way
- 7:26Speaker 1: God works. This is the way He's worked for me.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Every time I'm busy and I'm about the business of
- 7:32Speaker 1: always trying to live my creed, which is ABC. My
- 7:36Speaker 1: motto is ABC always be closing. I'm always working on something,
- 7:41Speaker 1: something to close something. When you're so busy with the
- 7:45Speaker 1: business of improving yourself and doing with yourself and becoming
- 7:49Speaker 1: the best you you can be, God is always working
- 7:53Speaker 1: on your behalf behind some scene of something that you're
- 7:57Speaker 1: in the process of tempting to close. But because you're
- 8:01Speaker 1: not doing all you can do, you're limiting you. You
- 8:06Speaker 1: are because if your decision not to give you all
- 8:08Speaker 1: in all, you're limiting the opportunities for God to put
- 8:11Speaker 1: his finger on things and touch them. On your behalf.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I don't know if the average person really understands or
- 8:20Speaker 1: knows what it takes to truly be successful on whatever
- 8:24Speaker 1: level you're talking about. But whatever that level is, I
- 8:27Speaker 1: don't care what a dollar amount you've got attached to it,
- 8:30Speaker 1: what level you've got if you have made the decision
- 8:32Speaker 1: that you're going to be successful. I think that a
- 8:35Speaker 1: lot of people, the average person does not know what
- 8:38Speaker 1: that means. Whatever level you've decided to be successful on, See,
- 8:43Speaker 1: that's your level of faith, that's where you see your
- 8:45Speaker 1: life at. Well, guess what you got to maximize your
- 8:50Speaker 1: efforts to even get to that level. So listen to me.
- 8:54Speaker 1: If you want to be successful at your church, if
- 8:56Speaker 1: you want to be successful in your relationship, if you
- 8:58Speaker 1: want to be successful out at the day kissing, if
- 9:01Speaker 1: you want to be successful at your college, if you
- 9:04Speaker 1: want to be successful on your job, guess what it's
- 9:07Speaker 1: gonna take all you got in that world to become
- 9:12Speaker 1: a success. I don't know why people think that if
- 9:15Speaker 1: you don't want to be what somebody else say, you
- 9:17Speaker 1: ain't got to put forth that effort. Now I ain't wrong.
- 9:20Speaker 1: You've got to put forth your maximum effort at whatever
- 9:24Speaker 1: role you're trying to accomplish, Lord, have mercy. Man. How
- 9:28Speaker 1: about today, though, y'all, how about today today as a
- 9:31Speaker 1: good one. Let's make today today. Let's get out of that.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Let's get on with it. Stop hesitating, stop delaying, stop procrastinating,
- 9:38Speaker 1: start today. Watch God have something to put his finger
- 9:43Speaker 1: on there. And that's all you're trying to do. Man,
- 9:46Speaker 1: To line yourself up with God's grace, you gotta put
- 9:49Speaker 1: out a lot of effort so God can put his
- 9:51Speaker 1: finger on something. You feel me today, I shall hope
- 9:54Speaker 1: you do, because I'm on one today. Let's go a shout,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the start of the Steve
- 10:05Speaker 1: Harvey Martin Show. Just how I'm gonna do it this morning.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Roscoe Wallace sangs another hit, siscol Kid was a friend
- 10:16Speaker 1: of mine. Yeah you know what he did. He drank
- 10:21Speaker 1: a whisky poncho, drank the wine. Hey but jam right there.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody. I will open up all my shows
- 10:35Speaker 1: for next week or so with the greatest songwriter of
- 10:38Speaker 1: all time Roscoe Wallace doing one of the hits that
- 10:43Speaker 1: he's written that they refuse to give him credit for.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Roscoe is in a fight with the music industry to
- 10:50Speaker 1: get all his walties paid. If the court sees it
- 10:54Speaker 1: the way Roscoe Wallace has it playing Roscold is old
- 10:59Speaker 1: all or trillion dollars money here the royal and back pay.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Let's see if Roscoe with junior call it Shirley, Tommy,
- 11:14Speaker 1: Miss siem Monica morning, sir, good stop tom Man, Uncle,
- 11:21Speaker 1: let me ask you something. Man. You know it's holiday season,
- 11:24Speaker 1: but a lot of traveling going on at this type
- 11:26Speaker 1: of stuff. And I'm not even not really threeal about it,
- 11:28Speaker 1: because I don't like traveling with people ain't got no money,
- 11:31Speaker 1: because stay, I know what they're gonna look. You have
- 11:34Speaker 1: before you got super rich or anything like that, just
- 11:36Speaker 1: when you just regular dude. You ever travel with people
- 11:38Speaker 1: that had they had no money for a long period
- 11:40Speaker 1: of time. Oh, I had a bus pass. Everybody I
- 11:44Speaker 1: travel with their hand no money as we had money.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Who hasn't we own this damn bus? Yeah, at ninety
- 11:52Speaker 1: nine dollars summer pass. Anywhere you want to go, you
- 11:55Speaker 1: just gotta want five five days to get that. Now,
- 12:00Speaker 1: ninety nine dollars bus pass Cleveland to Dating with damn
- 12:03Speaker 1: near day and there's only four hours away. But by
- 12:06Speaker 1: the time you started, took a damn ned day. By
- 12:09Speaker 1: the time because you got start Zanesville or Stubenville, Youngstown,
- 12:17Speaker 1: you're gonna go to Cincinnati, then back up to day.
- 12:19Speaker 1: They're gonna be all damn day. So yeah, I don't
- 12:22Speaker 1: like traveling people like that. I've seen some incredible things
- 12:25Speaker 1: on a bus that really shouldn't see. One of my
- 12:28Speaker 1: favorite pieces of luggage is a clothes basket with trash
- 12:34Speaker 1: bag over the top of it and duct tape surrounded ugage.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, I saw this. I was never
- 12:45Speaker 1: that person. I was a little more creative than that.
- 12:47Speaker 1: My other favorite piece of luggage is four trash bags
- 12:52Speaker 1: put inside each other. We're clothes in it that should
- 12:57Speaker 1: be in the trash and the little bread tie only
- 13:05Speaker 1: was always in the bread type badly clothing. You could
- 13:11Speaker 1: only twist it one time and so the two ends
- 13:15Speaker 1: stabbed you. That was my most interesting one. And then
- 13:19Speaker 1: I loved people who would take empty bags of loafs
- 13:23Speaker 1: of bread and pack stuff in it and then carried like,
- 13:27Speaker 1: we can't see the damnis loaves of bread that was posted,
- 13:31Speaker 1: but you didn't put socks and crayons and coming up
- 13:35Speaker 1: coming up in thirty two minutes after the hour, we're
- 13:37Speaker 1: gonna start throw off. We're gonna start the show off
- 13:41Speaker 1: with nephew Tommy's run that prank back right after this.
- 13:44Speaker 1: You're listening to show. All right, guys, time to start
- 13:49Speaker 1: our morning off with running that prank back and the nephew.
- 13:52Speaker 1: What you got, nef, Guess who is moving next door?
- 14:00Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that one more time. Guess who is
- 14:03Speaker 1: moving next door? That dog? If you would hello, I'm
- 14:10Speaker 1: trying to reach uh mister Dolphin, Dolan, Dolan Dolan, mister Dolan, sir,
- 14:17Speaker 1: how you doing. My name is uh Clifford Cooper. Yeah,
- 14:22Speaker 1: what can you do for you? Mister? Uh? You? You
- 14:24Speaker 1: you live at uh uh check you out a draw?
- 14:29Speaker 1: Why do you want to know that? Well? Actually, I'm
- 14:32Speaker 1: at sixteen twenty three. I bought I bought the uh
- 14:35Speaker 1: I actually bought the house that was for sale next door.
- 14:37Speaker 1: T oh okay, well congratulations, But how did you get
- 14:40Speaker 1: my number? Actually the realtor told me that he had
- 14:44Speaker 1: your number because I said I wanted to reach out
- 14:46Speaker 1: to the neighbor's next door. And he told me that
- 14:49Speaker 1: mister Dolan was actually the person next door and and
- 14:53Speaker 1: uh he didn't think you would mind me me actually
- 14:55Speaker 1: getting the number. Okay, well I'll talk with the real
- 14:58Speaker 1: little layer. But what can I do for you? Sir? What? What? What?
- 15:00Speaker 1: I what I wanted to know is to do do
- 15:02Speaker 1: you have any problems like living next door to to
- 15:04Speaker 1: to black people? I'm sorry, what did you just ask me?
- 15:09Speaker 1: I mean, like like I you know, like I said,
- 15:11Speaker 1: I just bought the place next door, and I want
- 15:13Speaker 1: to know, do you have any problems you know, living
- 15:15Speaker 1: next door the black people? Uh? No, sir, I have
- 15:19Speaker 1: no problem. I'm assuming you're a black man, and uh,
- 15:23Speaker 1: I have no problem with that. I judge people by
- 15:26Speaker 1: their actions, not their color. Okay, now do you do
- 15:28Speaker 1: you do you have any any black people experience? Well? Yeah,
- 15:32Speaker 1: I've worked with, gone to school with, has several friends
- 15:35Speaker 1: of many different ethnicities. Uh but what what is it? What?
- 15:39Speaker 1: What's this? How is this relative? Well, you know, like
- 15:42Speaker 1: I said, I'm gonna be I'm gonna be living next
- 15:43Speaker 1: to you, and I'm just keep making sure that you know,
- 15:46Speaker 1: you and I can coincide, co exist rather on the
- 15:50Speaker 1: same block and not really have a problem with one another.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Base Because what I'm trying to say, well, do you
- 15:55Speaker 1: have a problem with white people. Uh no, no, no,
- 15:57Speaker 1: I don't have a problem white people. Uh I cool.
- 16:00Speaker 1: I'm just I'm just trying to make sure you know.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I mean, because me and you already have a bit
- 16:05Speaker 1: of a problem already, you know we do. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:08Speaker 1: we have a problem. I mean, I'm bothering me while
- 16:12Speaker 1: on that work. What's your problem? Okay? Well my problem
- 16:15Speaker 1: is this is that, you know, after purchasing the property,
- 16:18Speaker 1: I went downtown to the city and actually looked at,
- 16:22Speaker 1: you know, the layout of this entire property. And when
- 16:25Speaker 1: I look at it, you actually twenty five close to
- 16:28Speaker 1: thirty feet over the property line. Well, now you look
- 16:32Speaker 1: at the wrong map. No, no, the fifth that separates
- 16:35Speaker 1: my backyard from your backyard. You are thirty feet over that.
- 16:39Speaker 1: That's impossible, you know, listen, and I know this is
- 16:42Speaker 1: not let me let me know. I'm gonna tell you.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Look at you got a jacouzi in your backyard? Right,
- 16:47Speaker 1: so you've been even spine on me. No, I haven't
- 16:50Speaker 1: inspired on you, sir. I'm just telling you close to
- 16:53Speaker 1: that I'm far from that fifth line. Don't. Don't you
- 16:55Speaker 1: have a jakouzi there? Well, as a matter of fact,
- 16:58Speaker 1: I do yes, okay, So now the pool is the
- 17:00Speaker 1: pool is okay. But but if I if I pushed
- 17:03Speaker 1: that fifth line back thirty and actually get the property
- 17:06Speaker 1: that I'm supposed to have, but I pretty much own
- 17:09Speaker 1: yo yo yo, jacuz, you'll hate to nacy. Okay, let
- 17:13Speaker 1: me tell you something. I've been in that house for
- 17:15Speaker 1: ten years. We put that sense up when we moved in,
- 17:19Speaker 1: and it was based on the property line that was
- 17:22Speaker 1: that was the set when ten years ago. I don't
- 17:25Speaker 1: know what you're looking at, but my fence is not moving,
- 17:28Speaker 1: my Jacuzi's not moving, and there's there's no changing that. Okay, Well,
- 17:33Speaker 1: let me let me let me. I'm glad you dose
- 17:35Speaker 1: your voice what you wanted the voice No, none, none,
- 17:38Speaker 1: you hear you hear the old cup for out. Let
- 17:40Speaker 1: me tell you so, uh either we're gonna take the
- 17:43Speaker 1: fifth line and move it where supposed to be. Oh,
- 17:46Speaker 1: We're gonna put a gate between uh I two yards,
- 17:50Speaker 1: and I'm gonna be able to coming get in mis
- 17:52Speaker 1: j Couvin pool whenever I want to. All right, let's
- 17:55Speaker 1: let's let's let's talk about this. First of all, there's
- 17:57Speaker 1: gonna not gonna be a gate, okay, And as far
- 18:00Speaker 1: as you just coming over and getting into jacuzi at will.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I got a real problem with that. You've called me
- 18:07Speaker 1: at work. I'm on the job and I'm having to
- 18:09Speaker 1: listen to this on a future neighbor who's making weird
- 18:15Speaker 1: claims about how he owns part of my lamp. Too bad,
- 18:19Speaker 1: I hold the jacuz he. No, no, you did not
- 18:22Speaker 1: pay for that jacuzi. You did not pay for that tense.
- 18:26Speaker 1: You just showed up making a He called me at work,
- 18:29Speaker 1: and and and and and then you hand me some
- 18:32Speaker 1: story with no evidence. I don't go down to the
- 18:35Speaker 1: city hall and look at those papers myself, because I
- 18:39Speaker 1: don't turst word you're saying. I've been there for ten years.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I've had ten other neighbors in that backyard. You don't
- 18:46Speaker 1: cycle through once a year, I swear, And I've never
- 18:49Speaker 1: had any problems with him until you come along. This
- 18:52Speaker 1: is some okay. Well, I tell you what, there's something
- 18:55Speaker 1: you need to understand. You got a new black neighbor,
- 18:58Speaker 1: and you got a new black neighbor that own party
- 19:00Speaker 1: owns your jacuzi because you're over the fence line, all right,
- 19:04Speaker 1: And as soon as I move in, I'm coming and
- 19:06Speaker 1: I'm getting in my jakouzi here with the man. You
- 19:09Speaker 1: know what I mean, Just no move into that. I'm
- 19:13Speaker 1: gonna use the jakouzi on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You
- 19:17Speaker 1: get it on Twoday, Thursday and the weekend. That's it,

- 21:51Speaker 1: Chara writes, I recently moved from my parents home to
- 21:55Speaker 1: my first home, and I left my old bedroom furniture.
- 21:58Speaker 1: My mother was cleaning out one of my dress drawers
- 22:00Speaker 1: and called me laughing hysterically. She had found my bag
- 22:05Speaker 1: of sex toys that I left him there by mistake.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I was ashamed but happy. My dad wasn't home. The
- 22:12Speaker 1: next day, my dad called me laughing about the same thing.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I am so upset that my mom tells him everything.
- 22:19Speaker 1: She said, it's no big deal, but it's very embarrassing
- 22:22Speaker 1: for me. Am I overreacting? Yeah, because there are people
- 22:28Speaker 1: married people who share jokes, and right now you do, Joe.
- 22:33Speaker 1: You know what they laugh because they cut two three
- 22:36Speaker 1: of them? Oh rabbit lady book bullets. You know. You
- 22:53Speaker 1: know purple people eatough. You know, they got all kinds
- 22:58Speaker 1: of stuff in there. I don't know how I noticed
- 23:00Speaker 1: stuff I just seen from you know, Rassberry delight, you know.
- 23:08Speaker 1: But Nana Olah, you know what they got the cherry pickle.
- 23:13Speaker 1: You know they got some stuff in there. Man, you
- 23:15Speaker 1: just got to know what it is, you know, you know.
- 23:18Speaker 1: But on the zoom it's a lot of people blushing.
- 23:20Speaker 1: So let's just move on, Okay, we will. Vicky and Hoover, Alabama,
- 23:25Speaker 1: says my husband and I got new phones, and he
- 23:28Speaker 1: mistakenly took my new phone to the store with him. Sunday.
- 23:31Speaker 1: He came in. It was acting all mad, saying a
- 23:33Speaker 1: man had called my phone and hung up on him.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I panicked because my male friends play a lot on
- 23:39Speaker 1: the phone, so I didn't know what they had done.
- 23:42Speaker 1: He accused me of having an affair, and my stomach
- 23:45Speaker 1: got queasy. After I threw up. He said he was
- 23:49Speaker 1: joking and he just wanted to see how I would react.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Is this cruel behavior or should I take it as
- 23:55Speaker 1: a joke and move on? Wait a minute, Hold up,
- 23:58Speaker 1: you threw up a sure sign of guilty. You vomited.
- 24:07Speaker 1: You know many lies out and told I've never vomited.
- 24:13Speaker 1: I've been the court line and never vomited. I've been
- 24:18Speaker 1: talking to the police and knew not to vomit. Oh
- 24:23Speaker 1: you know, the wives and asked me questions out of
- 24:26Speaker 1: lied and never vomited. Wish the hell I would vomit.
- 24:32Speaker 1: You guilty? She accused you and cheating. I got stomach,
- 24:36Speaker 1: guy queens out threw up? The hell you throwing a phone.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I wrote a check to the government one time for time.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Oh okay, damn, they had to write another one. I
- 24:48Speaker 1: can't seeing this one. Then they can't read this one
- 24:53Speaker 1: being cruel and should take it joke. Take it as
- 24:57Speaker 1: a joke. You better be glad he didn't read nothing
- 24:59Speaker 1: into that. Mommy, this is a blessing. Lady, got to
- 25:03Speaker 1: be kidding. Let me tell you something. Ladies, ask your
- 25:06Speaker 1: man something about a woman just called your phone while
- 25:09Speaker 1: I had it and she hung up and I thank
- 25:12Speaker 1: you cheating and your dude vomit. Guilty, guilty as shot?
- 25:19Speaker 1: All right? All right, Betty, well, I must have ate
- 25:22Speaker 1: something bad. I don't know what's wrong. Food, all right.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Moving on Lewis and Detroit, Steve Lewis writes that I've
- 25:33Speaker 1: been married to my second wife for almost a year,
- 25:35Speaker 1: and this is her second marriage as well. Um. She
- 25:40Speaker 1: brought some old friends from her marriage into our friends group,
- 25:43Speaker 1: and the ladies always make references about her ex husband
- 25:46Speaker 1: and how nice her old house was. I am not
- 25:49Speaker 1: insecure at all. But I did ask my wife why
- 25:52Speaker 1: she doesn't stop them from mentioning her X so much.
- 25:55Speaker 1: She said, I shouldn't sweat the small stuff, and how
- 25:58Speaker 1: do I deal with this situation? Ye, marriage number three
- 26:07Speaker 1: took me three times to get it right. Sometimes three times.
- 26:09Speaker 1: It's the chump you seem to be falling into that bracket,
- 26:13Speaker 1: always mentioning your excess house and bringing them up and
- 26:16Speaker 1: what they're in the group for. Anyway, Man, there's too
- 26:18Speaker 1: many people in y'all's damn marriage. Y'all's marriage ain't gonna
- 26:22Speaker 1: make it if you leave all these people in it.
- 26:24Speaker 1: The past is what it is. It's supposed to stay there.
- 26:27Speaker 1: If you keep bringing the past up, you're gonna mess
- 26:30Speaker 1: up your future. That's a fact. You Dog. What is
- 26:36Speaker 1: we talking about? What you keep talking about? The expo
- 26:39Speaker 1: and the house you used to have? Well, we ain't
- 26:41Speaker 1: got that house. And I might not be insecure, but
- 26:44Speaker 1: dog going, I'm not fitting sill and take all these
- 26:46Speaker 1: shots in the mouth next. Ye mash number three, I
- 26:51Speaker 1: love you too, says you say it twice before you're
- 26:56Speaker 1: good at it. Just say it a third time and
- 26:58Speaker 1: go on and get on here Mecy and Memphis says
- 27:02Speaker 1: Steve that I've got a five year old daughter that
- 27:05Speaker 1: has too grown for her age. She's always watching videos
- 27:08Speaker 1: on her phone and she's taken on the personality of
- 27:10Speaker 1: her fifteen year old sister. And I try to manage
- 27:12Speaker 1: it as best I can. She came home from hanging
- 27:15Speaker 1: out at the park with her older sister and she
- 27:17Speaker 1: told me that she saw two dogs doing it. I
- 27:20Speaker 1: asked her what they were doing, and she said it.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I'm going to beat the breaks off my fifteen year
- 27:26Speaker 1: old if she's taking like that, if she's talking like
- 27:29Speaker 1: that around my baby, And how do I address this
- 27:31Speaker 1: with my two girls? What you what? You're jumping on
- 27:35Speaker 1: a fifteen year old for you're the parent, you know
- 27:39Speaker 1: this started a long time ago. You your five year
- 27:42Speaker 1: old is out of control because you've allowed her to
- 27:44Speaker 1: get out of control. Now you're blaming it on a
- 27:45Speaker 1: fifteen year old. But fifteen year old is out of
- 27:48Speaker 1: control because boom yeah, And like Tommy say, she got
- 27:52Speaker 1: a phone and she looking at videos on the phone
- 27:55Speaker 1: at five years old? Why she got a phone. Why
- 27:58Speaker 1: she got access to a phone, Why she's talking back
- 28:00Speaker 1: to you? See, let me show you how you would
- 28:03Speaker 1: have went, Shirley, you my mother and asked me about that,
- 28:09Speaker 1: would asked me about that? So what did you say, baby?
- 28:12Speaker 1: What did you mean you saw two dogs doing it?
- 28:15Speaker 1: I saw two dogs doing it. Fuck exactly. That's how
- 28:20Speaker 1: that would have went at my house doing it. Fuck.
- 28:24Speaker 1: That was my mama's backhand, cross my mouth. But see,
- 28:27Speaker 1: y'all don't do that no more. So now you have
- 28:30Speaker 1: what you have now I went, we don't raise our
- 28:32Speaker 1: kids like that no more. Okay, cool, that's why your
- 28:35Speaker 1: kids is off the change. See five, ye don't need
- 28:37Speaker 1: the fifteen year old ass woman. That's all this shit,
- 28:41Speaker 1: old Steve huh m. She says she's gonna beat the
- 28:44Speaker 1: breaks off her fifteen year old, that's what she said.
- 28:47Speaker 1: But she not. And let me explain something. Beating is
- 28:51Speaker 1: not the answer to this right here. You really got
- 28:54Speaker 1: to sit your children down and get some order and
- 28:57Speaker 1: some rules in your house. That's just all what it is.
- 29:00Speaker 1: You've lost control of what you supposed to be in
- 29:03Speaker 1: control though to many people got phones. All right, good advice, cello,
- 29:08Speaker 1: Thank you coming up. I have your old in charge
- 29:10Speaker 1: of a damn thing up in Hire coming up. At
- 29:17Speaker 1: the top of the hour. We'll have some entertainment news
- 29:19Speaker 1: for you. Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey
- 29:23Speaker 1: Morning Show, some sad news. One of the legendary founding
- 29:29Speaker 1: father founding members of the Gap band, Ronnie Wilson, has
- 29:34Speaker 1: passed away. This is according to his family. Ronnie suffered
- 29:38Speaker 1: stroke last week and within a semi coma and he
- 29:42Speaker 1: never recovered. We're offering, of course, our deepest, deepest condolences
- 29:46Speaker 1: to Ronnie Wilson's family. That's his wife, has children, and
- 29:49Speaker 1: of course his brother, Charlie Wilson. This was a good
- 29:53Speaker 1: dude right here. Man. Ronnie Wilson was a very very
- 29:56Speaker 1: good dude. I toured. I toured in a couple of
- 30:00Speaker 1: stage plays. He was a bad boy. Yeah. He moved
- 30:05Speaker 1: to Houston, stay here in Houston for a while, and
- 30:08Speaker 1: then later he moved to, uh to San Antonio. That's
- 30:11Speaker 1: probably where he last resided because uh, I think he
- 30:15Speaker 1: had even opened I mean, he started preaching down there
- 30:18Speaker 1: in San Antonio. Ronnie was a really really good good man. Wow,
- 30:23Speaker 1: that's a lot musical genius. Yeah, yeah, he wrote a
- 30:29Speaker 1: lot for the Gap band. Yeah, producer, again, our condolence
- 30:33Speaker 1: is going out to the entire family. All right, we're
- 30:41Speaker 1: gonna switch gears. And on a lighter note, we got
- 30:45Speaker 1: to talk about Alicia Keys and Swiss Beats. Uh. They're
- 30:48Speaker 1: showing off their California home and Architectural Digest. It's eleven
- 30:52Speaker 1: thousand square foot home. It's in uh Lajoya Lajoia, California,
- 30:58Speaker 1: which is featured on the cover of Architectural Digest December issue.
- 31:02Speaker 1: It sits on a mountain side overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
- 31:06Speaker 1: It has Florida ceiling glass windows and a stunning infinity pool.
- 31:11Speaker 1: It's so fancy. They say that it served as the
- 31:14Speaker 1: inspiration for Tony Stark's futuristic home in Iron Man. So
- 31:19Speaker 1: there you go. No, it's dope. No, the crib is dope.
- 31:23Speaker 1: You've been there. I saw no comment it's dope. Didn't
- 31:32Speaker 1: drag that out of you. Yeah, well, okay, all right,
- 31:38Speaker 1: and finally Carla is here with today's music news. But
- 31:41Speaker 1: you got Carla. Okay, Well, guys, congratulations are in order
- 31:45Speaker 1: for the artist her. She lands the lead in the

- 32:19Speaker 1: the Apollo Theater to pull it off and well deserved.
- 32:22Speaker 1: I've been knowing that crew for years. Every time I'm
- 32:24Speaker 1: going back. It's the same boys back there, Joe and
- 32:27Speaker 1: all in boys and boys know how to put on
- 32:29Speaker 1: the show. Well, that's good, that's good. Maxwell will receive
- 32:33Speaker 1: the legend Award a Shanty. She will receive the Lady
- 32:37Speaker 1: of Soul. She is the honoree twenty twenty one Soul

- 33:56Speaker 1: excuse me, hello, just talking to you. What show would
- 34:01Speaker 1: you be really good at hosting other than the one
- 34:03Speaker 1: you want? I'm talking about like Court Awards show. I
- 34:08Speaker 1: hadn't thought about that. Huh. He'll go forward, Academy Awards.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Why not? Yeah, go forward, go forward? No, you don't
- 34:20Speaker 1: see that. Huh you don't see that? Hell no? What
- 34:24Speaker 1: what he's an actor? What can I do that? I
- 34:28Speaker 1: can't host them. Come on, man, height you know tilling
- 34:37Speaker 1: like something that's really like, you know, People's choice or
- 34:41Speaker 1: something like that. You know something. They're not fitling it,
- 34:44Speaker 1: damn Oscars. How about lap Image Award work? I mean
- 34:49Speaker 1: not not because it's lesser, it's just that we not
- 34:52Speaker 1: fitling whole. Dain't they took Kevin off of it? You
- 34:56Speaker 1: talk about Academy Awards. Hey, everybody shouldn't be no, damn Austin. Yeah,
- 35:03Speaker 1: so I'm worried about that Image Awards. That would be
- 35:06Speaker 1: nice to host, um brain all of them, any of them?
- 35:10Speaker 1: What about Nephew can be What about the immage? Yep,
- 35:14Speaker 1: I could do it. You can do it? Make you proud?

- 35:28Speaker 1: Yeah here, yeah, you're gonna blame the host whatever. You know,
- 35:33Speaker 1: you said it, you see it. You know you open
- 35:37Speaker 1: the envelope. You know what we do to winner. Let
- 35:39Speaker 1: me call my author right quick, listen, you didn't live Yeah,
- 35:42Speaker 1: I don't even care, just say on Steve name anyway,
- 35:45Speaker 1: I don't give that. I can't do that. Do that?
- 35:51Speaker 1: Come have for twenty minutes after the hour, man, you
- 35:56Speaker 1: can't do that? I did. Can we have a twenty
- 36:00Speaker 1: minutes after the hour? President Biden caught sleeping on the job.
- 36:04Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this. Get some sleep.
- 36:08Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steven Show, So Steve, President Biden
- 36:14Speaker 1: is just being dragged right now in social media. They're
- 36:17Speaker 1: dragging him because he fell asleep. And I'm talking to
- 36:20Speaker 1: you directly because you can relate to this. But President
- 36:23Speaker 1: Biden fell asleep during the opening speeches of the COP
- 36:28Speaker 1: twenty six Climate Summit. One of the staffers woke him up,
- 36:33Speaker 1: and the President then uncrossed his arms and listened to
- 36:37Speaker 1: what the staff member was telling him before applauding the
- 36:40Speaker 1: opening speaker. Medical experts said, when you are bored, there
- 36:45Speaker 1: is no motivational stimuli getting into your brain, no dopamine
- 36:50Speaker 1: and is being released, and you therefore tend to feel
- 36:53Speaker 1: tired and sleepy. Unto understood. Yeah, okay, the times I've
- 37:02Speaker 1: done a Joe Biden Lais I had was at the
- 37:10Speaker 1: LAIS headquarters in Dallas. A fella sleep. They was talking.
- 37:15Speaker 1: I was at a chip because they put a graph up.
- 37:19Speaker 1: They turned the lights off talking about Cheeto sales and
- 37:22Speaker 1: all this hit like, I give a damn with sleeper that.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Then I was at a pitch meeting one time and
- 37:29Speaker 1: it wasn't my turn to talk, and the dude I
- 37:31Speaker 1: wanted to pitch me anymore, he was pitching this project
- 37:34Speaker 1: so wrong. I knew he wasn't getting the TV show.
- 37:36Speaker 1: So I went on went to Sleeping Now church. I've
- 37:42Speaker 1: been to church. We had a minister one time and
- 37:46Speaker 1: he didn't have no volume. His whole sermon was a talk.
- 37:53Speaker 1: You know, God so loved the world that he gave
- 37:58Speaker 1: his only be gotten, the son. Hey man, we all
- 38:02Speaker 1: know this verse. Pick it up, you know, give me something.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Hit a tambourine, you need a drummer, you need something.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I've fallen sleeping Now. I went to court with a
- 38:12Speaker 1: friend of mine and uh it wasn't looking good, and uh,
- 38:18Speaker 1: you wasn't. I wasn't on trial, So hell, yeah, that's
- 38:25Speaker 1: the attitude. Crazy. You don't try your ass be paying
- 38:29Speaker 1: attention better. Yeah, yeah, that's been And I'm okay with
- 38:36Speaker 1: Joe Biden going to sleep at the summit. Yeah, it
- 38:40Speaker 1: probably is boring. You shouldn't go to sleep You're not
- 38:45Speaker 1: gonna talk about the most infamous time you went to
- 38:47Speaker 1: Sleeping Bay. Boy. I know you ain't leaving that one out.
- 38:50Speaker 1: You're not going to talk about that. Well, we was
- 38:52Speaker 1: interviewing some people at the MGM Grand and they were
- 38:56Speaker 1: special guests this morning. But I've been gambling all night.
- 38:59Speaker 1: We was on the ass at three am in the morning.
- 39:01Speaker 1: I left a casino at two thirty and we're sitting
- 39:04Speaker 1: there in the interview was at Fox fifteen and at
- 39:06Speaker 1: FHO fifteen. My whole brain had shut off. And so
- 39:10Speaker 1: while that two white dudes was talking, I dropped the mic.
- 39:14Speaker 1: It hit the flow. Sherley says Steve. I turned a
- 39:17Speaker 1: right away. What I looked at them two white people.
- 39:19Speaker 1: I didn't know who they were. I thought they was fed,
- 39:22Speaker 1: and I thought my ass was gone. All right, we'll
- 39:27Speaker 1: take your phone calls. Check Steve's voicemail at eight seven
- 39:30Speaker 1: seven twenty nine, Steve. Right after this, you're listening Steve
- 39:35Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Time to check Steve's voicemail eight seven
- 39:40Speaker 1: seven twenty nine, Steve eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve
- 39:43Speaker 1: is the number. All right, Steve, let's go to the phones.
- 39:45Speaker 1: We got line one Carlton in Chicago. Hte Harvey a family,
- 39:51Speaker 1: Carl to Murray, loving you in Chicago. Man, it's cold,
- 39:58Speaker 1: it okay, hang up, we gotta go. I've lived in
- 40:04Speaker 1: Chicago twice in the early nineties, and I lived there
- 40:08Speaker 1: again from two thousand and five to two thousand and twelve.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Thirty fifteen. I lived seventy five years in Cago and
- 40:19Speaker 1: it is cold. It is the coldest place in the
- 40:21Speaker 1: United States I've ever lived. And it's cold. Beautiful city
- 40:26Speaker 1: in the summer. But the crazy thing was, I was
- 40:28Speaker 1: never there in the summer. Always had to be to
- 40:32Speaker 1: go tape shows somewhere. And then when I came back,
- 40:35Speaker 1: I came back in October, September October, so all I
- 40:40Speaker 1: saw was a couple of nice little days and they
- 40:42Speaker 1: weren't million nine. And then after that it comes held
- 40:45Speaker 1: in the form of Frosty vishes in Chicago. But great city, man,
- 40:54Speaker 1: great people, great radio station there V one oh three.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I'm talking about some real smart people in radio up there,
- 41:02Speaker 1: man been I've been fans of Chicago radio for a
- 41:06Speaker 1: long time. But no one does radio the way Chicago does.
- 41:10Speaker 1: No one. Chicago was a radio city, you know, and
- 41:14Speaker 1: the dude feeder that used to report on radio. He
- 41:17Speaker 1: jacked me one time. He jacked me one time. But
- 41:20Speaker 1: that's neither here nor there. But you know, you can't
- 41:23Speaker 1: stop it because we've got good ass ratings up there,
- 41:25Speaker 1: so or whatever, right, you know? All right, Carlton, thank you? Yeah,
- 41:33Speaker 1: all right, let's go to line too, Steve. This caller
- 41:35Speaker 1: just has a question about comedy. Hey, Steve O Bick,
- 41:38Speaker 1: fan of yours happen for a long time. I have
- 41:40Speaker 1: one question. If you were going to pass off your
- 41:42Speaker 1: keen comedy clown, who would you pass it to? Well?
- 41:47Speaker 1: Living today right now is Dave Chappelle. This is this
- 41:52Speaker 1: is my personal Mount Rushmore of comedy, excluding Richard Pryor,
- 41:59Speaker 1: because he's a plaque by himself. Richard Pryor is a
- 42:04Speaker 1: monument himself. My Mount Rushmore of comedy outside of Richard Pryor.
- 42:15Speaker 1: For me, now keep in mind, I'm sixty four, it's
- 42:20Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Cedric the entertainer, because I just
- 42:30Speaker 1: I just know comedy man, And what do you how
- 42:32Speaker 1: these dudes right and and and and how they are
- 42:35Speaker 1: on stage when they in the best element. I got Rock,
- 42:39Speaker 1: I got Chappelle, I got cedric uh, I'm I'm I'm
- 42:45Speaker 1: gonna just be honest with you. Man. If if if
- 42:48Speaker 1: I looked at my body of work and what I did,
- 42:51Speaker 1: I would put myself on that wall because when I
- 42:54Speaker 1: was doing it, I was I was that to me
- 43:01Speaker 1: and I'm just being real with you. But then I'm
- 43:05Speaker 1: just impartial. Man. Bernie. Bernie would be on that because
- 43:09Speaker 1: of the way he worked. I don't people don't really
- 43:12Speaker 1: understand comedy, and then I would have to say, after
- 43:17Speaker 1: saying myself, Bernie has said, I have to include d
- 43:23Speaker 1: l hugely because the Kings of Comedy was an event
- 43:27Speaker 1: that's never been done prior and never been duplicated after
- 43:33Speaker 1: the Kings of Comedy. Man was the four of us
- 43:37Speaker 1: as a unit, It's undeniable in history of comedy. I
- 43:42Speaker 1: don't kill who you are now, if you're being honest,
- 43:45Speaker 1: I'm talking about that collective group of dudes did something
- 43:49Speaker 1: that had never been done before and has never been
- 43:52Speaker 1: done since period. For me, Man, my dollars in terms
- 43:56Speaker 1: of dudes that's on stage, that's really vicious. Earthquake, Hankis
- 44:04Speaker 1: Quake is a letter now in that in that level
- 44:07Speaker 1: right there. But they've taken it to another level. He
- 44:10Speaker 1: gets a huge monument. Is Kevin Hart. Kevin Hart gets
- 44:14Speaker 1: he gets a plaque for the way he's diversified his
- 44:17Speaker 1: stand up. Now Eddie, Eddie and Richard. That's that's somewhere else.
- 44:21Speaker 1: We're talking about them here. All right, all right, thank
- 44:24Speaker 1: you Steve. Coming up next, it is a nephew with
- 44:26Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. Right after this you're listening Steve
- 44:31Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Write about four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today.
- 44:38Speaker 1: The subject my ex husband wants me to be his side.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Check right now the nephews here with today's prank phone call.
- 44:48Speaker 1: What you got for his naugh This right here is
- 44:51Speaker 1: pecan tree. Pea can not pecan, but pekan cancan. My
- 44:59Speaker 1: granddad called peak peaking, and the peaks peakn try Okay,
- 45:03Speaker 1: my grandmother called it pecan yeah, my grandma okay, okay,
- 45:08Speaker 1: Well I'm gonna say it again. My granddaddy called everybody
- 45:16Speaker 1: everybody on my granddadd of Porch called it peakneverybody in
- 45:20Speaker 1: the neighborhood in South Park said the country not gonna
- 45:23Speaker 1: get Everybody in Study Wood in Houston, Texas called it
- 45:27Speaker 1: peakan where everybody below I ten said, the country where
- 45:32Speaker 1: everybody north the forty five calls it peakn. So that's
- 45:36Speaker 1: South Dallas, Okay, cool, North Houston whatever anyway, PEAKN. Let's
- 45:41Speaker 1: go care dog. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach uh
- 45:47Speaker 1: LC hey, let me let me Hey. My name is Marcus.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Uh My mama named little next dough to you, mister
- 45:55Speaker 1: and missus my mom and daddy little next dough to you.
- 45:58Speaker 1: And I was calling called, y'all got a pecan try
- 46:01Speaker 1: in y'all backyard, I mean right on the fish line,
- 46:05Speaker 1: and it keeps, you know, pecan and stuff keep falling
- 46:08Speaker 1: over into my mam and them yard. So I tall
- 46:10Speaker 1: to see if y'all can do something man, where y'all
- 46:14Speaker 1: can pick up I mean, my mama and them got
- 46:17Speaker 1: a little older. You know, we've been picking them up
- 46:19Speaker 1: for a long time. But I need somebody to, like,
- 46:22Speaker 1: maybe you can cut the limbs back that's hanging over
- 46:25Speaker 1: so that they won't, you know, the pecans won't be
- 46:27Speaker 1: falling over into my mom and them yard because you know,
- 46:30Speaker 1: for them to be bending over like they're picking up
- 46:32Speaker 1: them pacan and it's a lot of them. So, you know, mister,
- 46:35Speaker 1: I just wanted to haul at you and see if
- 46:37Speaker 1: you don't mind maybe cutting the limbs back, because even
- 46:40Speaker 1: when we turn the lamo on and stuff, man, it
- 46:42Speaker 1: just you know, the pecans and stuff be coming out
- 46:44Speaker 1: of the lamo just shooting all over the place. Well,
- 46:48Speaker 1: first of all, Mama con tres an old coon tree,
- 46:52Speaker 1: and uh it's fall well and I can't see me
- 46:57Speaker 1: cutting it. Well, I mean, I'm what I'm saying, you
- 47:01Speaker 1: can't have nobody to maintain your yard. But I mean
- 47:05Speaker 1: you it's your mother. You can maintain your mother's yard. Sir.
- 47:09Speaker 1: I go by my mother's house, you know, every other
- 47:12Speaker 1: day and check on them. But I don't have time
- 47:14Speaker 1: to go on the back and pick up pecans and stuff.
- 47:16Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I mean, if you just
- 47:18Speaker 1: it don't seem no more than like maybe four or
- 47:20Speaker 1: five limbs that's hanging over there. But them four or
- 47:23Speaker 1: five limbs, I mean they they there's a lot of
- 47:25Speaker 1: pecans falling off of that. So if you lady my
- 47:29Speaker 1: bacon tree to shady, I go back there. There's no
- 47:33Speaker 1: kind of nothing back the okay whatever, sir, I'm not
- 47:39Speaker 1: cutting my tree for a little like that. Sir, Listen,
- 47:42Speaker 1: what I'm what I'm trying to get you to do
- 47:43Speaker 1: is I'm not I want you cutting your entire tree down.
- 47:46Speaker 1: I just want you to cut a few limbs, sir,
- 47:48Speaker 1: so you know those that way that those are the
- 47:51Speaker 1: ones that are hanging over it won't be you know,
- 47:53Speaker 1: the pecans won't be falling over into my mom's them yard.
- 47:56Speaker 1: And and and you know, like I say, they're older now, man,
- 47:58Speaker 1: they can't be bending over like that. So you know,
- 48:01Speaker 1: I'm I'm just coming to you as a man right
- 48:03Speaker 1: now and asking you when you please cut this down
- 48:06Speaker 1: through these pecans and quit falling over my mama them
- 48:08Speaker 1: yard almost and you all you can do is hard
- 48:11Speaker 1: from one someone I know your mother. Don't cut your yard.
- 48:16Speaker 1: It's it's a guy that it's a guy that cuts
- 48:18Speaker 1: the yard. But even when he cutting the yard, these
- 48:20Speaker 1: pecans is flying out from underneath the yard. The law
- 48:24Speaker 1: more they sooner, lady, we're gonna be breaking windows over that.
- 48:27Speaker 1: What kind of lord person you have that don't pick
- 48:30Speaker 1: up before they cut? That's food? Why am I arguing
- 48:33Speaker 1: with you about picking up stuff? And all of this?
- 48:35Speaker 1: I'm asking you to cut a funking left five limbs,
- 48:38Speaker 1: so these dog gonna pecans ain't a falling over my

- 55:08Speaker 1: Good morning. And the subject is my ex husband wants
- 55:12Speaker 1: me to be his side chick. All right, here we go, Steve.
- 55:16Speaker 1: You're Stephen Shirley. I was married for almost fifteen years
- 55:19Speaker 1: and my husband cheated on me several times. He eventually
- 55:23Speaker 1: got tired of hurting me, or so he said, and
- 55:26Speaker 1: he divorced me. I was depressed at first, but in
- 55:29Speaker 1: the past two years I've started getting my mojo back,
- 55:32Speaker 1: and although I'm not dating, I want desperately to have sex.
- 55:36Speaker 1: I've been able to forgive my ex husband, and that's
- 55:39Speaker 1: how i know I'm in a better place mentally and emotionally.
- 55:43Speaker 1: We don't have children together, but I'm very close to
- 55:46Speaker 1: his teenage daughter. She lives with her mom, but she
- 55:49Speaker 1: spends some weekends with me. The last time she spent
- 55:52Speaker 1: the night with me, her father popped up and asked
- 55:55Speaker 1: if we could all have a movie night, just like
- 55:57Speaker 1: old times. I couldn't say no because she was so
- 56:00Speaker 1: glad to see her daddy. Halfway through the movie, she
- 56:04Speaker 1: fell asleep on the couch and he made her go
- 56:06Speaker 1: to bed. I started to clean up, hoping he'd leave,
- 56:11Speaker 1: but he didn't. He started to beg and plead for
- 56:15Speaker 1: one more night with me. He said he craves my
- 56:18Speaker 1: body and he just wanted to spoon with me all night.
- 56:22Speaker 1: He is by far the best lover I've ever had,
- 56:25Speaker 1: but I couldn't let him know how badly I wanted
- 56:27Speaker 1: to make love to him. It would it would just
- 56:31Speaker 1: make me miserable all over again because I'd be his
- 56:34Speaker 1: side piece. I told him to go home to his Beyonce.
- 56:38Speaker 1: This will be his third wife, and he's already out
- 56:41Speaker 1: trying to cheat. Since that night, he's been begging me
- 56:44Speaker 1: to let him spend time with me. I told him
- 56:47Speaker 1: there's no way in hell I'd ever be his side piece.
- 56:52Speaker 1: He swore he'd leave his Beyonce if I'd let him
- 56:55Speaker 1: hold me for one more night. I will admit that
- 56:58Speaker 1: I am enjoying all of the attention for him, and
- 57:00Speaker 1: I want to believe that he truly misses me and
- 57:04Speaker 1: he's ready to come home. Is that what it is?
- 57:07Speaker 1: Or does he just want to have sex? All right?
- 57:10Speaker 1: Come on for you to even have to ask us
- 57:12Speaker 1: you already know. Yes, it's just the sex. He just
- 57:16Speaker 1: wants to have sex, don't do it is just about
- 57:18Speaker 1: the sex. I mean, what else has he done to
- 57:20Speaker 1: even make you think that he wants more than that? Nothing?
- 57:23Speaker 1: Because if it were so, you would have put that
- 57:26Speaker 1: in the letter. He swore he'd leave his fiance if
- 57:30Speaker 1: you would let him hold you for one more night.
- 57:33Speaker 1: What that sounds like a line from a song or something.
- 57:36Speaker 1: Get out of here. That right there should tell you
- 57:40Speaker 1: that he's no good. He hasn't changed. Okay, you said
- 57:43Speaker 1: it yourself. He wants to cheat on his new girl,
- 57:46Speaker 1: so please don't let him back in your life. You're
- 57:49Speaker 1: doing well now mentally and emotionally, you said, don't let
- 57:54Speaker 1: your situation about being desperate to have sex. Don't let
- 57:57Speaker 1: it cloud your judgment. Please, lying and cheating or apparently
- 58:00Speaker 1: what he does, so don't get caught up again. Can
- 58:03Speaker 1: people change, Yes, absolutely they can change, But he hasn't changed.
- 58:09Speaker 1: So don't start all over with him. Just start preparing
- 58:13Speaker 1: yourself for your new man, all right, Steve, this letter
- 58:19Speaker 1: is interesting because this letter is interesting because it's it's
- 58:23Speaker 1: just full of stuff that that's obvious to me. And
- 58:26Speaker 1: I don't know how you don't see this. The subject
- 58:28Speaker 1: is my ex husband wants me to be his side chick.
- 58:32Speaker 1: She was married for almost fifteen years, and my husband
- 58:34Speaker 1: cheated on me several times because he likes side chicks.
- 58:39Speaker 1: He eventually got tired of hurting me, or so he said.
- 58:42Speaker 1: And so you've been depressed at first, and he divorced you.
- 58:47Speaker 1: And now you say you're starting to get your mojo back.
- 58:50Speaker 1: And although you're not dating, I want desperately to have sex.
- 58:54Speaker 1: So that means you're not dating anybody. You're not having sex,
- 58:59Speaker 1: you just but you do feel better about yourself. You've
- 59:02Speaker 1: been able to forgive my ex husband, and that's how
- 59:05Speaker 1: I know him in a better place. Okay, that's a
- 59:07Speaker 1: good place to be it now, I want you to
- 59:09Speaker 1: remember this for later on in the letter. I've been
- 59:13Speaker 1: able to forgive my ex husband, and that's how I
- 59:16Speaker 1: know him in a better place. Now, you all don't
- 59:19Speaker 1: have children, but you're close to his teenage daughter, and
- 59:22Speaker 1: she lives with a mom, and she spends nights with
- 59:24Speaker 1: you on the weekend sometime, and the last time she
- 59:28Speaker 1: spent the night with me, her dad, your ex popped
- 59:31Speaker 1: up and ask if y'all can have a movie night
- 59:34Speaker 1: just like old times, and you couldn't say no because
- 59:37Speaker 1: she was glad to see her daddy. Halfway through the movie,
- 59:40Speaker 1: she fell asleep on the couch and he made her
- 59:42Speaker 1: go to bed. You started clean up, hoping he leave,
- 59:46Speaker 1: but he didn't. He started to beg and plead for
- 59:50Speaker 1: one more night with me. He said, he crazed my
- 59:53Speaker 1: body and he just wants to spoon with me all night.
- 59:57Speaker 1: So here's a line. Here's my father best I've ever had.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Went excuse me, you just said, y'all was married for
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: fifteen years, he cheated on your several times. You've been
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: divorced for two years, and even though you're not dating,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: you want to have sex. The reason he's the best
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: you ever had is cause you ain't had nobody else.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Oh that thought, Steve. We're gonna come back and recap
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: today's strawberry letter. The subject my ex husband wants me
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: to be a sidekick. Heard two of Steve's response coming
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: up at twenty three minutes after. Right after this, you're
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve,
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. The subject my ex husband
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: wants me me to be his side chick. Well, that's
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: interesting because you were married for fifteen years and you
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: husband cheated on you several times. Like I said, that's
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: cause he lights side chicks. You've gotten your mojo back.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: You're still not having sex, but you and you're not dating,
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: but you do want to desperately have sex, So that's
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: why you're considering this. I've been able to forgive my
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: husband and now that I know, and that's how I
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: know I'm in a better place. Okay, Like I said,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: remember that because I'm gonna use that line later. I've
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: been able to forgive max husband. That's how I know
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: him in a better place. She's having a movie night
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: with the man's daughter. Uh, and he pops up and
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: just like old times, after he could watch a movie,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: you couldn't say no because the little girl was happy
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: to see her daddy. She fell asleep halfway through the movie.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: He made her go to bed. You started cleaning up,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: hoping he would just lead. Uh he didn't, so he
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: started to beg and plead for one more night with you.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: He told you he craves your body and he just
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: wanted to spoon with you all night. Man on a
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: spoon with no damn body with a spooning anyway, I know.
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: But we spooned so we can get the fuck out
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: one more time. We spooned so we can get the
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: fuck out. I'm just telling you that was really good.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: That was really good. Yes, to get the fuck out now. Uh,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: he said he crazed my body. He just wanted to
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: spoon with me or not. Now, you said he is
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: my father, best love I've ever had, but I couldn't
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: let him know how bad I wanted to make love
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: to him. Well, he's the best love you ever had.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: You married fifteen years, you didn't cheat on him, you've
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: been divorced two you ain't dating nobody, but you despinitely
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: want to have sex. So you hain't had sex in
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: seventeen years with no damn body but him. That's why
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: he the best. He had nothing else. That's easy to
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: beat them best when you're the only one. Okay, Now,
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I told him to go home to his fiance. This
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: will be his third wife, and he's already out trying
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: to cheat. Well since that night, he'd been egging to
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: let you spend time with him. All right, Now, here's
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: the whole letter. I told him there's no where in
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: hell I'd ever be his side piece. He swore he
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: leave his fiance if I let him hold me for
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: one more night. Shirley said it best to sound like
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: a damn soul fly for one nine. But even after
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: that song? Do you know the song right after that
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: on loop this album? If only for one night, it
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: rolls right into creep. Yes, So all he wanna do
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: is creep with you? Now? How that hell that sound?
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: If you let me hold you one more time? I
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: leave my fiance? What for one more time? I'm fin
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: to give up some steady at the house for just
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: one more damn time, and then I'll leave my fiance.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: How that sound to you? Nice? Then she's I will
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: admit that I'm enjoying all the attention from him. That's
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: because you ain't getting it from nobody else. You said
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you ain't dating, lady. Let's go back up to the top.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: You said I've been able to forgive my ex husband.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: And that's how I know I'm in a better place.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: If you're in a better place, why would you leave
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: being in a better place to go back to the
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: other place where you weren't better. It don't make no sense. Now,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: she says, I want to believe that he truly misses
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: me and he's ready to come home. Let's stop this.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: He's ready to come home, he already at home with
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: his fiance. And then, you know, listen to me. You're
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: not understanding what's really happening here. Here's a deal. Does
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: he want to have does he is it that? Is
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: that what it is he wants to come home? Or
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: does he just want to have sex. Here's a deal, lady,
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: he wants to play you, because that's what he does.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: You don't think he said this before. If you just
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: let me hold you one more time alive, he'd have
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: left this his third wife. I know this hill third wife.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: This what he hadn't told you this before? He said
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: this before, He tells this to everybody. Now here's the
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: problem you got. Here's what you need to understand. It's
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: the same. He still cheats. Of course, he wants you
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: to be the side chick, because that's what he do.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: He still cheats. You will be letting the same behavior
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: back into your life. He's cheating on his fiance. Say
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: right now, he has not changed any of his behavior.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: He's just offering you the side check position. And if
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: you let him hold you, you gonna be this. You
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: just told him, yes, I'll be the side check. And
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: yes he misses you. Yes he misses you because he
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: misses cheating with you. So now he missed cheating on you,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: and now he's ready to cheat with you. All right,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: go back to him, you food, Yeah, don't do it.

- 1:07:19Speaker 1: they earned it. Also. Yeah, ex Denver Broncos linebacker Varn
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Miller was traded to the Los Angeles Rams to strippen
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: their defense alongside Aaron Donald at the NFL trade dead
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: line on Tuesday. Man, Yeah, did you see varn Miller's reaction?
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: He was hurt. Man, it felt yeah, and he was hurt.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Put a lot of time in Denver. Man, you know,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: so you know that, but hey, they gotta he went
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: from one team to a first plate team. You might
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: well go ahead and look at the bright side. Yeah,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: playing also man in football, Man, this is a sad story. UH.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Wide receiver Henry Henry Ruggs, the third Laws Vegas, played
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: for Las Vegas Raiders. He was released on filling the
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: charges after a fatal DUI crash killed the woman, and
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: he was released by the Raiders. Man, twenty two years old. Man,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: it's the second year of the league. Man, just mistakes
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: second year. Man, he was drafted. So he hit the
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: car from behind, from behind, It burst into flames and
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: killed the woman. So but but but he was driving
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: under the influence. I just just hate hen stories like that. Man,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: such a young don't listens to that family, man, Yeah,
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: that's all too many options for you not to be
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: drinking and driving. Too many options. Yeah, got uber cars,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: got Ryan Sham, Yeah drivers, Yeah, you know what I mean.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: We all have with people we know if we see
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: somebody drinking. I was at a meeting recently. Somebody I
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: know was drinking a lot, and we were sitting at
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: the table talking in the meeting and he went to
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: the bathroom. I just took his keys off the table,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: put him in my pocket so I wouldn't get it.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: He came back and drank some more, speech slurred and everything.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: So people came to the table it was time to go.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: He said, I can't find my keys. I said, that's
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: because you can't drive home. Though. There you go, Yeah,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: you can't drive home. Partner, I'm good man. No, no
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: you're not. Now you're not because my name is that's sentence.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: That's sentence right there. I'm not T. Once he kept
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: calling me t T and I knew he couldn't say
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: that s. I knew that's how drunk he was. TU.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: Hold on, T Okay, no, you don't do it. Man.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Let's close out like this man, h how about the braids? Okay,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: let Junior do it. The Philadelphia is seventy six to
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: have a problem with being Simmons. He won't meet with
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: team doctors to discuss mental readiness for the season. He
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: just refused. He's making it worse, all right, Thank you, Junior.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: Coming up next more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. Right after this, you're
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: listening to show. So we all know that Jay Z
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: and his former business partner Damon Dame Dash have been
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: beefing for a while. Now that's not news, but jay
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Z showed Dame some love during his Rock and Roll
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Hall of Fame speech. Shout out to damee, I know
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: we don't see eye to eye, but I can never
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: erase your accomplishments. And I appreciate you and I thank
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: you for that. That was nice. That was yeah. Damon
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Dash said he appreciated the olive branch that Jay extended
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: and he will spend one back. And they have no
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: feat love that. So, Steve, you are a business owner,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: and experts say, here are just a few signs of
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: a partnership break, all right. They include someone isn't carrying
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: their weight. True agree always the case. A lot of times,
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: you know, it's an unbalanced share of responsibility. Also, disagreements
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: on personnel, on finances, customer service can be a problem
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: between partners. Yep, that's a problem. I have another one,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: go ahead credit credit. One of the partner expects to
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: receive undue unmerited credit. See the problem you run into
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: what your partner a lot of time is you want
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: to share in the same results without the same amount
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: of work, but you want the credit though. Now that
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: relates back to the first thing you said, But I
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: got you. We don't do the same thing. But the
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: other part of it is when you want the credit
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: for it though, that's a dangous person. Go ahead anything else, surely? Yeah.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: Different different working styles, you know, that can cause daily strength.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: You know, you could be professional, your your partner can
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: be you know, very unprofessional, very uncond That leads to
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: some problems of management. Leadership skills vary in that arena.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: You know, I like a soft approach, you like a
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: hard approach. I like the more of a people person.
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: You go strictly by the lawd what's in the book
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: that creates a problem? Okay, And then they say, part
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: of the solution, Steve, is to communicate when you feel calm. Okay, Yeah,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: to stay out of this, stay out of this. It's
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: not what you do though. You don't have no don't
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: even ask no question about calm, hot head head. But
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: we're in the middle of a crisis. Hind the hell
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: as I'm supposed to become. Not your tone right now,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: your tone right now. It's why you don't have a
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: business partner right there. See right there, it's very hard
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: to make it in this world without some type of partnerships.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Tommy has decided that got to be another way. I'm partner,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: I am partnered with me. Okay, I have meetings with me,
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: and if the meeting don't go right, I just stopped
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: the damn meeting right there. That right there an emotion
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: that you got another to make the list. But well,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: it just says, you know, communicate Steve, when you feel calm,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: give yourself time. It's okay to feel frustrated, hurt or betrayed,
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: but when you're when you're feeling that way, avoid communicating
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: with your partner or anyone in the business. That's really
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: when it's time for me to share what I'm feeling
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: this way about. And that's one that's that's when you
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: really got to know how I feel when I got
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: to share this with you. But I have another one
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: for you though. Okay, let's hear it. Steal it stealing.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I knew y'all when we started with the Whole Sun,
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: but there are a lot of people and taught me
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: that our business owners are you know, cook. Cook expound
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: on stealing. Well, stealing this when you take a portion
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: of the proceeds that you're not supposed to and you
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: trim it off the top. It's a form of embezzlement
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: and you kind of it's called skimming off the top.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: And then you make all the deductions after that. But
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: after you've skimmed the money, you already got your cut.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: What your hope is that your partner don't find out
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: about it? All right? Well, on that note, we'll be
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: twenty minutes after right after this. You're listening, She's name
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, here's some good news.

- 1:15:09Speaker 1: hospital on Tuesday, that's one day after he had a fall,

- 1:15:17Speaker 1: on campus. According to a statement will expi the Rainbow
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Push Coalition. According to the statement, Reverend Jackson had been
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: meeting with Howard University President Wayne Frederick and students concerning
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: their complaints about some of the poor living conditions at
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: some of the students residential halls when he fell. After
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: bringing the students and the school administration together, Reverend Jackson
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: said there was much progress made yesterday and that he
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: is going back today to help them resolve their differences. Yeah,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: I'll bet he agreed with the students. Yeah, pend on
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: what he fell on, you know, agree with him student. Yeah,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Well that's good though. They're talking trying to get it together.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: But it's such a great university, man, it's such a
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: great university. Yeah, they've turned out some great, great people
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: out of that school. Man. I hope they didn't work
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: this out. Say, welcome in our home station, w h
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: U R on the campus now you versity, you know, Yeah,
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: that'll work it out. Reverend Jesse Jackson always at the
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: forefront of trying to bring people together. That is his legacy.

- 1:16:55Speaker 1: Would you rather have a partner who is beautiful but
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: has an ugly ugly personality? Or would you have a brother?
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: Have a partner who's just plane Jane, Plane Jane and
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: has just a compatible personality. Everyone loves them, They get
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: along with everyone. Plane Jane, Blane Jane with a great personality.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: Definitely Plane Jane Blane Jane. Really yeah, your attitude would
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: make you ugly anyway? He really yeah, put some new
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: realms on it. I've had half of each one of them.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: So what does that mean. I've had all the combinations
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: are going to I've had Plane Jane with a uglass attitude.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: Really have us and the nerve of you? How you
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: think anybody take this mess? But but I'm gonna tell
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: you what. Marjorie to me, this is just my opinion.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: It's really really attractive to me. And she has the
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: best personality of any person I've ever met. Marjorie's the
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: closest thing to my mother I've ever met in my life.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: She is Marjorie is a sweetheart of a person man,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: And I really I had to learn how to live
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: with her, how not to blow out her candle because
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: she's so bubbly so much at the time. You know,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: sometimes I'll be going, hey, pull up a little bit.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: What hey, man, stop blowing candles. Boy, don't be stupid. Boy.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Used to live in the bat cave, remember, all right?
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: I couldn't see nothing, just bats going by. You ever
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: had a back flat about your O? That's what That's
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: what it felt like. No, but I guess your Are
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: you saying your lips? What do you say? That's all right?
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: Would you would you rather eat a piece of food
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: that was really healthy for you but tasted like garbage?
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Or would you rather eat something that tasted great and
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: that was just horrible for you made you sick? All
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: of that made you sick? You'd rather eat that something?
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: I ain't healthy food, that's trifling all the time. It
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: an't work for damn. Rather not eat at all. I
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: don't know what gluen is all gluten free food. Need
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: to put the gluten right back in it. Forty nine
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, it's our last break of the day,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: and we'll have some closing remarks from the one and
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey right after this last break you're listening
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: to show. All right, guys, here we are a last
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: break of the day on this Thursday. Mm hmmm. And
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: it's a good day. It's been a good day, Steve
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: was today. I said some brilliant stuff to day. I'm
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: very proud of myself today, very proud, not brilliant, ablute, sheer, brilliant,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: radioable remarks. Oh I have others, but they're not radioable.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: Radioable radio. That's another term. All right. Well, on that note,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: mister brilliant, you can take us out with some closing remarks.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: All right, let me say something to everybody as a
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: reminder about your current situation and a reminder about your destination.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: Those two are different things. So what I'm getting at
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: is this, This is how I want you to look
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: at it. It's not how you start. It don't matter
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: what the middle looked like. Your goal and your job
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: is to get to the end. That's your only goal.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: But here's what hampers people, and the reason I chose
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: this subject today, it's because keep people always refer to
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: how they started and then getting too deep into that
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: conversation and laying there with how you started, you then
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: move up to how it affects you now, and that
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: usually has a negative connotation. Everybody's got something in their
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: past that they've regretted. Everybody got something in they passed
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: that they hope to never repeat. Everybody has something in
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: their past that they sometimes think wish would be different,
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: but it can't be. So See, it don't matter how
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: you start, and it don't really matter about the middle. See,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: and the reason I chose to call it the middle,
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: the middle is where you are right now. You know
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: why I call it the middle because you're in the
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: middle of a journey. You're in the middle of a process.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: So where it started and where you are now the
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: middle of it, it don't matter because your goal, remember
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: the goal now, it's for you to get to the end.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: The end is the destination point. It's to achieve a
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: certain goal or achieve a certain ambition in life. So
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: where you start and when in the middle, it don't matter.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: You gotta keep your eye on the prize. You gotta
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: keep your eye on the end goal, which is the result,
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: which is the accomplishment, which is the goal, which is
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: the vision, the dream coming true. That's where the victory is.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: All at the beginning and all in the middle won't
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: mean anything except it will be a part of the
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: story that you tell. Wow, man, do y'all understand what
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: I just told you? Everything that happened to you at
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: the beginning and all this stuff that's going on in
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: the middle won't be nothing except part of the story
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: that you get to tell. But you don't get to
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: tell the story until you finish. But the thing about
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: finishing in life, you got to always draw another finish line.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: A man without a dream of visions your perish. Once
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: you reach your ambition, once you attain your goal, once
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: you accomplish what you set out to do, there's a
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: new finish line that has to be started. That's got
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: to be another beginning. You got to create another middle,
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: and you got to shoot for another ending. That is
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: the process of life. You are embrace that, enjoy it,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: take heed to it, embellish it. But it is the
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: way it works for all of us. Bill Gates, with
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: all the money he got, he's getting a divorce, not
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: a story he was hoping for. Probably may not be
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: turning out the way he thought it was gonna be,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: but it's gonna be a part of his story, and
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: the story you're gonna end up telling. It ain't all
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: roses and sunshine and flowers and lepre cons and full
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: leaf clovers and pots of gold. Your story gonna have
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: some twisting turns in it. There's a stanza in a
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: poem called Don't Quit, and one of the standsas is
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: for life is queer with this twisting turns, as every
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: one of us must sometimes learn. And many a fellow
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: has turned about when he might have won had he
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: stuck it out. That standsa in that poem called don't
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: Quit describes what I'm talking to you about, because life
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: is queer with this twisting turns, and every one of
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: us must sometimes learn. All of us nobody's exempt from this.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: It is the life we have. It is the process.
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: Quit tripping about how you started, Quit worrying about the
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: middle of the story, and keep your eye on the
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: prize to get to the end, the gold, the ambition.
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: And then when you get there, you're gonna have to
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: set a new story up. Bill Gates has got to
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: write a new portion to this story. You gotta tell
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: some more. Him and Linda didn't make it. He got
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: to tell another part of the story for whatever the reason.
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: But he'll be fine because he ain't gonna get tripped
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: up about the middle, and neither shit you. All that's
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: in the past. All that's in the middle is the present.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: But keep your eye on the prize, the goal, and
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: the ambition. Those are my closing remarks. Hope you got
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: something from it today. God willing will see y'all again tomorrow.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: Have yourself a great day. I'm gonna go out and
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: make the best of my eighty four thousand, six hundred
