- 1:46Speaker 1: water to the water. Go. Come come on your bad
- 2:02Speaker 1: I show will good morning everybody. You are listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Come on, y'all. I said that a little bit wrong
- 2:14Speaker 1: this morning, but I'm tired. I just came out the gym.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'm a little out of sorts right now. But it's okay.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I'll pull it together. But let me tell you something, man,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I got a clear cut message for you today. I
- 2:25Speaker 1: really do you know. As I've gotten older, I've began
- 2:32Speaker 1: to take some supplements. And supplements are to help your
- 2:39Speaker 1: body in things that it doesn't produce as much as
- 2:46Speaker 1: it used to. Supplements are designed to help you replenish
- 2:54Speaker 1: what's been depleted in your body. As supplements now now
- 3:01Speaker 1: are people I can tell you can speak a lot
- 3:04Speaker 1: more aggressively and a lot more knowledgeable on this subject.
- 3:07Speaker 1: But just giving you a just a brief overview of
- 3:10Speaker 1: my understanding of now, if you've been living your life
- 3:16Speaker 1: for a while, supplements are necessary for most of us now. Also,
- 3:28Speaker 1: if you've been living your life for a while spiritually,
- 3:36Speaker 1: you may need some supplements because you've just been at
- 3:40Speaker 1: it for a while. You don't got woe down a
- 3:44Speaker 1: little bit. You're tied, some people around you, ain't changing.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Some people around you draining. It's just life just keeps
- 3:53Speaker 1: on coming. Life don't ever get no easier. It just
- 3:56Speaker 1: you become more knowledgeable about how to hand it does
- 4:01Speaker 1: not get any either easier. You continue to lose loved ones,
- 4:05Speaker 1: you continue to have to confront the challenges. It's just
- 4:09Speaker 1: that over course of time you become experienced and you
- 4:12Speaker 1: can handle them better. But life don't get no easier.
- 4:17Speaker 1: But spiritually you get a little bit worn down. Well,
- 4:21Speaker 1: you need some spiritual supplements too. And I'm just gonna
- 4:25Speaker 1: flat out tell you, the more God that you can
- 4:31Speaker 1: replenish yourself with, the higher the dosage of God that
- 4:37Speaker 1: you are willing to put into your spiritual self, the
- 4:43Speaker 1: possibilities then become limitless. You actually have the ability to
- 4:51Speaker 1: make a conscious decision to supplement your body, and you
- 4:56Speaker 1: have a conscious decision to supplement your spit. You can
- 5:01Speaker 1: do both. So what I did was, I could just
- 5:06Speaker 1: tell you what I did. I was taking all these supplements.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I started taking supplements where I was about forty five.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I think that's when I began. I was thinking about
- 5:16Speaker 1: it one day and I just went wild. Man. I
- 5:19Speaker 1: started talking to some knowledgeable people. I found out I
- 5:22Speaker 1: needed these things. But then spiritually, man, I started supplementing
- 5:25Speaker 1: myself too. I started praying some more. I started trying
- 5:29Speaker 1: to gain a little bit more knowledge and wisdom and
- 5:32Speaker 1: understanding from scriptures and just try to make sense of
- 5:37Speaker 1: all of it, you know, just just make a little
- 5:40Speaker 1: bit more sense out of my life, make sure that
- 5:42Speaker 1: I was on the right path. A matter of fact,
- 5:45Speaker 1: get on the right path, find out my real purpose
- 5:48Speaker 1: and my mission in life. And nobody can do that
- 5:51Speaker 1: for you. That's something that you have to want to do.
- 5:54Speaker 1: But I started supplementing my spiritual side of my life
- 5:57Speaker 1: and supplementing my body. Now I happen to be right
- 6:01Speaker 1: now about in the best shape I've ever been in. Technically,
- 6:08Speaker 1: I can assure you though I am in the best
- 6:11Speaker 1: shape spiritually I have ever been in. Now my body
- 6:15Speaker 1: has looked better, it really has. I mean, come on, now,
- 6:20Speaker 1: at who I am in life, at the stage with
- 6:22Speaker 1: the years I've been walking this earth. Man, I'm cool,
- 6:27Speaker 1: But spiritually I'm in the best shape I've ever been in.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And what it's done for me, y'all is it's gave
- 6:34Speaker 1: me a peace and a calmness. You know, it used
- 6:36Speaker 1: to be, man, I used to fight so hard against
- 6:39Speaker 1: people who attack. Now, man, it ain't. It ain't as
- 6:43Speaker 1: serious to me because now I have a full understanding
- 6:46Speaker 1: that if I come under attack, that God is with me,
- 6:50Speaker 1: because that's a promise he made. That's Isaiah fifty four seventeen.
- 6:54Speaker 1: That's that's that's. Any weapon formed against you, any weapon
- 6:59Speaker 1: formed against you shall not prosper. You can't. You can't
- 7:03Speaker 1: come and get me. I'm not here for you to
- 7:06Speaker 1: take down because you didn't put me here. So why
- 7:11Speaker 1: would I feel a person bringing me down when they're
- 7:13Speaker 1: not the reason that I'm here. So when you attack me,
- 7:18Speaker 1: you have to be careful because I ain't ever by myself,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I formed the relationship with the most high that I
- 7:27Speaker 1: can rely on for protection, for coverage, and for peace.
- 7:32Speaker 1: A lot of times when things used to stress me out,
- 7:35Speaker 1: how to run this, how to handle this, how to
- 7:37Speaker 1: deal with that? You know, famous rough Man. And then
- 7:40Speaker 1: you put that together with some business, and you put
- 7:43Speaker 1: that together with your family. You got a lot of
- 7:45Speaker 1: stuff you're trying to tend to. I have a peace
- 7:47Speaker 1: of mind about it now because I have someone who
- 7:52Speaker 1: provides me with a sense of understanding and calmness that
- 7:56Speaker 1: lets me know that this tool shall pass. That it
- 8:00Speaker 1: ain't just a saying that I heard old people say that.
- 8:03Speaker 1: It ain't just something my mama used to tell me.
- 8:06Speaker 1: It's something that can really happen. Once you get an understanding,
- 8:10Speaker 1: this tool shall pass. This is just another piece of
- 8:13Speaker 1: life that you are now better equipped to handle. I'm
- 8:17Speaker 1: telling you what it's done for me. A millions of
- 8:20Speaker 1: people out there hear me. Man has done the same
- 8:23Speaker 1: thing for them. I'm telling it new to some people,
- 8:27Speaker 1: but there's some people that show enough understand what I'm saying.
- 8:30Speaker 1: And then if you have known this but kind of
- 8:33Speaker 1: forgot it, it's time for some supplements. So when you
- 8:37Speaker 1: get like that, and now you find yourself in a
- 8:40Speaker 1: situation with a disease or something, you gotta do something. Nah,
- 8:46Speaker 1: you gotta start juicing all your greens. You gotta start
- 8:49Speaker 1: detoxing your body. You gotta start purifying the system. See,
- 8:53Speaker 1: the human body has always had a way to repair
- 8:56Speaker 1: itself if you just give it a chance. Your mind
- 9:00Speaker 1: has always had a chance to repair itself if you
- 9:03Speaker 1: give it a chance, and your spirit always has a
- 9:07Speaker 1: chance to repair itself, if you give it a chance.
- 9:12Speaker 1: It's the only way I can maintain at this level.
- 9:15Speaker 1: And it's the only way I have any chance of
- 9:17Speaker 1: going further. I have to increase my dosage of spiritual supplements.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I got to talk to God a little bit more.
- 9:28Speaker 1: I got to pray a little bit more. I got
- 9:31Speaker 1: to understand his word a little bit more. That's all
- 9:35Speaker 1: I'm telling you. Man, If you do that, if you
- 9:38Speaker 1: just pray more, if you just studied a little bit more, Man,
- 9:42Speaker 1: just try to get an understand it, ask him to
- 9:44Speaker 1: help you understand. It will open up the possibilities of
- 9:48Speaker 1: your life into a realm you never could have imagined.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I'm telling you that's real. Okay, you're listening to ladies
- 10:02Speaker 1: and gentlemen let me have it. It's your undivided attention
- 10:06Speaker 1: that I need today as a new day. It's a
- 10:10Speaker 1: brand new dawning. It's an opportunity, it's a chance, it's
- 10:14Speaker 1: a new beginning. It's an awakening. It is your gift
- 10:21Speaker 1: from God. Let us take advantage of this. Let us
- 10:25Speaker 1: be grateful in this day. Well, this day didn't have
- 10:28Speaker 1: to be. But he did. Ain't you glad? He did?
- 10:33Speaker 1: I am question remains he is you. I did that
- 10:40Speaker 1: to hurt your ship and my heart, to make to
- 10:45Speaker 1: make your ears leak time. He enjoyed it, Junior Jordan
- 10:51Speaker 1: Caller understood it. Shirley was offended. Yes, Lord Charley Starberry
- 10:59Speaker 1: calling for real, Junior, definite times of going on the
- 11:02Speaker 1: morning top top tip. We're glad. I'm just telling surely
- 11:15Speaker 1: it was it was bad that I noticed. It was
- 11:19Speaker 1: just just an observation. I had felt that I was
- 11:23Speaker 1: going too long on the serious side, you know, because
- 11:31Speaker 1: I've been over here, I'm working, I've been speaking, and
- 11:33Speaker 1: you know, I just I ain't want to and I
- 11:36Speaker 1: spoke at this organization. Uh last night, Oh man, it's
- 11:42Speaker 1: a beautiful black tie fair. I came straight from taping
- 11:46Speaker 1: family feud over here and went straight to the event.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Of course I didn't have no tucks, but I was
- 11:52Speaker 1: still fly, you know, so up and they had a
- 12:00Speaker 1: lady interviewed me. And it was supposed to be like
- 12:02Speaker 1: a short five minute thing for a friend of mine
- 12:06Speaker 1: over heels, doing a favor for him for this entrepreneur
- 12:10Speaker 1: entrepreneur young entrepreneurs group that he had ended up being
- 12:13Speaker 1: forty five minutes. But it was nice. But can't tell
- 12:19Speaker 1: you something that women in South Africa there are no
- 12:23Speaker 1: fake nothing over them, no big what do you mean
- 12:27Speaker 1: by that shot? And none of that Oh no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 12:30Speaker 1: no enhancement at all, authentic, all fantic, proud of it.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Have conversations about it, okay. I mean now with me personally,
- 12:46Speaker 1: I'm talking about just clarified, plain now, make it plain,
- 12:53Speaker 1: write the vision and make it plain. But you know,
- 12:57Speaker 1: just in conversation between shows and stuff like that, it's
- 13:00Speaker 1: about that conversation. But I made an amazing analogy and
- 13:08Speaker 1: I gave a lot of Africans a lot of credit.
- 13:10Speaker 1: When we have time, we'll talk about it. But I
- 13:13Speaker 1: can't do it at thirty seconds, so we'll talk about it,
- 13:16Speaker 1: you know, Okay, all right, later, well something and by
- 13:21Speaker 1: the way, welcome back, Tommy. I just want you know what,
- 13:25Speaker 1: you don't had to do that in time. Now, I
- 13:28Speaker 1: had a dental appointment and I told my uncle that
- 13:30Speaker 1: you ain't gonna nothing to do with this. Oh look
- 13:32Speaker 1: at the time coming up with thirty two minutes after
- 13:35Speaker 1: the hour. We gotta ask the CLO. It's that time,
- 13:39Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building. Right after this,
- 13:43Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Morning Show time. Nofer asked the
- 13:48Speaker 1: CLO Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building. This
- 13:52Speaker 1: one is from Michelle from the iHeart app Michelle says,
- 13:56Speaker 1: I'm thirty six years old and I'm data a guy
- 14:00Speaker 1: that's five years younger than me. He owns a mobile
- 14:03Speaker 1: detailing business, and we went We met when he came
- 14:06Speaker 1: to my home to wash my car. We had an
- 14:09Speaker 1: instant attraction, and by his third visit, we had sex.
- 14:13Speaker 1: He asked me to be a woman, and we're supposed
- 14:15Speaker 1: to be dating. But this man is handsome and fine,
- 14:19Speaker 1: so I can't help. But wonder if he's having sex
- 14:22Speaker 1: with other female customers, will I be able to tell
- 14:25Speaker 1: if he's cheating? You? Only you, Only you? On the
- 14:32Speaker 1: build your house, three times washing your car? Did he
- 14:35Speaker 1: end up washing you? So? Now where in now have
- 14:39Speaker 1: you learned anything about him? Except he showed care wash
- 14:43Speaker 1: and wax? Yeah, now you you got what do you
- 14:52Speaker 1: mean if he's cheating? He wants you to be a woman? Okay,
- 14:56Speaker 1: but what how do we know? We don't or anything
- 15:00Speaker 1: about You don't know the man really that well, you
- 15:04Speaker 1: should have took some time to get to know him.
- 15:05Speaker 1: But now that you just left with him, now you
- 15:07Speaker 1: got to work through that and go on and get
- 15:09Speaker 1: to know the man. That's what you want to do.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Followed the little detailed truck round town. That's one way,
- 15:19Speaker 1: you know, tad out of gas. But yeah, he can't
- 15:23Speaker 1: help you because we don't know anything. He may be
- 15:25Speaker 1: the perfect guy. Yeah, you never know. But you're having
- 15:28Speaker 1: second thoughts because you have a little insecurity problem because
- 15:31Speaker 1: you keep talking about how fine he is. How high
- 15:33Speaker 1: fine are you? Ok? Yeah, it's five years younger than her.
- 15:39Speaker 1: She is probably feeling a little insecurity. Yeah, get to
- 15:44Speaker 1: know him. The detailed jug that's what you got. You
- 15:47Speaker 1: got that detail? Yeah, you got that special? All right,
- 15:52Speaker 1: We're moving on. Kenny in South Carolina says I'm in
- 15:59Speaker 1: my mid forties and I have a special friend that
- 16:01Speaker 1: I've been seeing for four months. He was the perfect
- 16:04Speaker 1: gentleman until this weekend when we tried to have sex
- 16:07Speaker 1: for the first time. He was talking too nasty and
- 16:10Speaker 1: calling me dirty names, and he smacked me real hard
- 16:14Speaker 1: on my backside. I told him to stop and we
- 16:17Speaker 1: needed to try again another time. He said, he needs
- 16:21Speaker 1: me to be a freak in the sheets, but I
- 16:23Speaker 1: don't want kinky sex. Is this the wrong man for me? Obviously?
- 16:27Speaker 1: It is? Yeah, yeah, you know because this just the
- 16:30Speaker 1: beginning that hard slap slapping. Yeah, he won't. He won't
- 16:37Speaker 1: freak kinky. You've been to be doing something, yeah, and
- 16:40Speaker 1: she's not into that. So well, you're gonna be down
- 16:45Speaker 1: in the kitchen washing your tinsels, you know, bringing them
- 16:49Speaker 1: on stage, you know, like spatulus and bachelors, you know,
- 16:56Speaker 1: pizzas and there with that punch bowl with the big
- 17:03Speaker 1: lader on. You're gonna be in here to try to
- 17:06Speaker 1: figure out what is we got up in the where
- 17:07Speaker 1: all this here? You got that greater next about chopping
- 17:12Speaker 1: blocking there, Yeah, shouldn't have been here. Got that mixer on.
- 17:17Speaker 1: He had cut the mixer on walking the balls to bed.
- 17:21Speaker 1: What let this go? He got? He had about a
- 17:26Speaker 1: blender up there, he making his own ky jelly. What's that?
- 17:33Speaker 1: We're home? Really holistic, all natural, little avocati in it.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Little alaver he got real alavera lee just snapping him
- 17:44Speaker 1: down to the But but but a poppet shell peas
- 17:49Speaker 1: at you while he doing all that. L you gonna
- 17:52Speaker 1: be in something, and you ain't gonna believe it when
- 17:54Speaker 1: that monkey come out, a little monkey in that cage
- 17:59Speaker 1: and let him loose. All right, we're moving on, gonna
- 18:07Speaker 1: bring one of his friends over there. And here a
- 18:09Speaker 1: little person huh, really ain't gonna know where going on
- 18:13Speaker 1: in but he just a cameraman nobody needed from a
- 18:17Speaker 1: real low angle. That's why you all right. We're going
- 18:21Speaker 1: to Onyx now in Florida. I'm a twenty six year
- 18:25Speaker 1: old hairstylist, and I just found out that I had
- 18:27Speaker 1: sex with my customer's husband. We met at a club
- 18:30Speaker 1: and he said he was single. We went to his
- 18:32Speaker 1: house and all he had was a bed, but he
- 18:35Speaker 1: said he had just moved in a week later, I
- 18:37Speaker 1: got a call from a customer saying she had a
- 18:39Speaker 1: rental house that would be perfect for me. She gave
- 18:43Speaker 1: me the address and a phone number. I recognized the
- 18:47Speaker 1: name number and the address, and I realized that I
- 18:51Speaker 1: had had sex with her husband in her house. Should
- 18:54Speaker 1: I tell her? Wow, you like you're gonna lose the
- 19:01Speaker 1: potential apartment and a customer. Yeah, how about you just
- 19:07Speaker 1: tell him you found out and leave him alone. Yeah, yeah,
- 19:13Speaker 1: you gotta leave him alone and stop doing her hair
- 19:17Speaker 1: though this is a possible lass whipping, and stop leaving
- 19:21Speaker 1: with men you meet at the club and going to
- 19:23Speaker 1: their house. But she gotta stopped doing her hair too.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Now now I'm gonna do her hat. Come on now,
- 19:31Speaker 1: Oh it's funny with fire. Yeah, getting there and get
- 19:40Speaker 1: to talking. Yeah, well, how come you didn't want that apartment?
- 19:46Speaker 1: I showed you? Well, right, No, it just seems so
- 19:51Speaker 1: when I saw it, it just felt felt wrong, you know,
- 19:56Speaker 1: it just felt like something, you know, I just bad
- 20:00Speaker 1: vibes in there, bad vibes, all right. Moving on to
- 20:05Speaker 1: Danita and Kanyer's Georgia, she says, I'm a single mother
- 20:08Speaker 1: of a twenty two year old son that works full
- 20:10Speaker 1: time and pays a household utility bills. Because he pays
- 20:14Speaker 1: a few bills he thinks he's grown. He's messing with
- 20:17Speaker 1: a thirty year old woman. And I don't mind her age.
- 20:20Speaker 1: It's the fact that she's too comfortable in my house
- 20:23Speaker 1: and that bothers me. The other night, she bought groceries
- 20:26Speaker 1: and was in the kitchen trying to cook for my son.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I raised hell and told her it wasn't happening. My
- 20:32Speaker 1: son got mad and threatened to move in with her.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Do I ease up or tell him bye bye bye bye?
- 20:40Speaker 1: Twenty two? Yeah, move in with you? Got over to
- 20:43Speaker 1: shoot and bought a woman over your mama house cooking
- 20:46Speaker 1: amber one queen in a castle, right, baby, tell him
- 20:51Speaker 1: by all right? Thank you? CeeLo. Coming up next. The
- 20:57Speaker 1: nephew would run that prank back right after this. You're
- 21:00Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the
- 21:04Speaker 1: top of the hour, Miss Anna standing by with today's
- 21:07Speaker 1: national news. President Biden will give his presidential address tonight
- 21:11Speaker 1: before the Joint Session of Congress. Plus and entertainment news,
- 21:16Speaker 1: we'll tell you why Steve Harvey was trending on the
- 21:18Speaker 1: Shade Room and Twitter yesterday. Yeah, we'll discuss it. At
- 21:23Speaker 1: the top of the hour. We'll discuss it. We'll get
- 21:26Speaker 1: into it. But right now the nephew is here. We'll
- 21:28Speaker 1: run that Frank back. What you got for us, nef

- 22:10Speaker 1: Well when will you be able to pay it? Um?
- 22:14Speaker 1: Is it? Is? It? Okay? If if maybe you let
- 22:16Speaker 1: us go for the rest of the year with no ring,
- 22:18Speaker 1: are you kidding? I mean, you know you gotta the
- 22:22Speaker 1: whole pandemic thing, you know, so that's not working. But
- 22:25Speaker 1: that's just it. That's the only sort of income that
- 22:29Speaker 1: I have. So if you're going don't pay rent, then
- 22:32Speaker 1: I have no fault from income. My water bill was
- 22:35Speaker 1: over two thousand dollars this month. How did you even
- 22:38Speaker 1: call me and ask me a question like that? If
- 22:40Speaker 1: the pandemic thing is going on, so a lot of
- 22:42Speaker 1: us not working here, tell me about it because that's
- 22:45Speaker 1: my faults of income for the rest of the newest
- 22:56Speaker 1: No way, no, no way. We gotta we gotta, we
- 22:59Speaker 1: gotta come we something so because we got a problem here.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I thought you would maybe more like a Christian, that
- 23:04Speaker 1: you you would understand. You know, I'm a Christian, but
- 23:06Speaker 1: you need to be a Christian too, and let me
- 23:08Speaker 1: and know that I can't move my move out of
- 23:11Speaker 1: my house and have no where to stay and no
- 23:13Speaker 1: food to eat. But every everybody is a lot of people.
- 23:16Speaker 1: It's a lot of people are not working right now.
- 23:18Speaker 1: A lot of people are not working. You need to
- 23:20Speaker 1: look at TV and try to seek some of the
- 23:21Speaker 1: help that they're given to sinners, because they had it
- 23:24Speaker 1: on TV just today that landlords are going and and
- 23:28Speaker 1: filing reports on tenneths not paying and that it's a
- 23:31Speaker 1: Tennis responsibility to try to get some assistance and some help.
- 23:35Speaker 1: But no, nobody, we don't know where, We don't know
- 23:37Speaker 1: where to go to get no assistance, like like we
- 23:39Speaker 1: know we cannot, we cannot afford a month left alone
- 23:43Speaker 1: a year. And you're talking about this is not even
- 23:46Speaker 1: half the year going, and you're asking me to give
- 23:48Speaker 1: you a year free rent. What do you think this is?
- 23:51Speaker 1: What do you think I'm gonna live on for right now?
- 23:54Speaker 1: We're not working. We're not working right now, or nobody's working. Well,
- 23:58Speaker 1: we're not working these because the park is our words,
- 24:01Speaker 1: that's my only source of income. I gave everybody a year,
- 24:05Speaker 1: they would shut my park down. There would be no life,
- 24:08Speaker 1: no water, no nothing over there. And I'm not asking
- 24:11Speaker 1: for everybody else, just your number eighteen, that's all no,
- 24:14Speaker 1: and not what everybody else could have the right to
- 24:16Speaker 1: ask if you ask it. And you're paying the least
- 24:19Speaker 1: amount of rent that you've just written a lot the
- 24:21Speaker 1: other people are paying triple with your paying. So no,
- 24:25Speaker 1: I cannot we get we I mean we were getting.
- 24:29Speaker 1: We're supposed to get this stimulus, this stimulus are the
- 24:31Speaker 1: the the the the the the stimulus check we're supposed
- 24:34Speaker 1: to get it. But you know we need to do
- 24:38Speaker 1: other things. You know, we gotta get some food and
- 24:39Speaker 1: and the TV is out too, and kind of sounds
- 24:42Speaker 1: like you also got to get someplace to say. It
- 24:45Speaker 1: kind of sounds like you not only have to get
- 24:46Speaker 1: that for JA to sign you someplace to stay. So
- 24:49Speaker 1: because no, I'm we're not gonna we're not gonna leave
- 24:52Speaker 1: and we gotta nowhere else to go. Okay, well you
- 24:54Speaker 1: have to leave in if you get evicted to buth,
- 24:56Speaker 1: we're not We're not. We're not, We're not. We're not
- 24:58Speaker 1: going to leave it. We gotta get it lawyer. Then
- 25:00Speaker 1: we get a lawyer. Well, get you a lawyer, help
- 25:03Speaker 1: yourself yourself, get you a lawyer. You can get whatever
- 25:07Speaker 1: you want. But that lets me note right now that
- 25:09Speaker 1: if you know to make a trip to the courts
- 25:11Speaker 1: and short night sought on the fiction, that's what that
- 25:15Speaker 1: lets me know. But the answer is no. So the
- 25:17Speaker 1: conversation is kind. But we're not we're not working. We're
- 25:20Speaker 1: not working right now. I'm not working either. Well theybe
- 25:24Speaker 1: even like they when they when they look at the TV.
- 25:27Speaker 1: The president even he even knows nobody's working right now.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I'm not telling about it. I'm not working either. My
- 25:32Speaker 1: husband's not working either. None of us are working. I'm
- 25:36Speaker 1: not working either, miss miss Michelinda. I don't if someone
- 25:40Speaker 1: if someone come here to eighteen and try to put
- 25:42Speaker 1: us out. Then we got to kick somebody's as you
- 25:46Speaker 1: got what we're going to kick somebody's somebody come and
- 25:49Speaker 1: try to put us out, and we got nowhere else
- 25:50Speaker 1: to go. Well, you'll be kicking the police, because that's
- 25:53Speaker 1: who gonna will be handling it. We don't do anything illegal.
- 25:57Speaker 1: We go through the court system and we don't put
- 25:59Speaker 1: We don't put anybody out the court do it? Do
- 26:02Speaker 1: you know? I'll let them know what you're saying. I'll
- 26:05Speaker 1: let them know. Where do you Where do you live?
- 26:07Speaker 1: Where do you live? What? What the difference does that
- 26:10Speaker 1: make to you? I think it better if I come in.
- 26:13Speaker 1: I thought that you face to face and maybe we
- 26:15Speaker 1: by defeat. No way, No, I don't need to talk
- 26:17Speaker 1: to anybody face to face. You your husband did and
- 26:21Speaker 1: then and then you're not even on the contrast to
- 26:23Speaker 1: staying there, you're telling me your cousin. I don't even
- 26:26Speaker 1: know where you come from. I don't even know who
- 26:27Speaker 1: you are. I have no clue who you even are.
- 26:31Speaker 1: You say what you gotta say? We got no success said,
- 26:33Speaker 1: we gotta be out of here. They're going to do
- 26:35Speaker 1: some type of vision. What I tell her we're not working.
- 26:38Speaker 1: We're not we're not working right now. When we get
- 26:40Speaker 1: back to working, we get either, sir, I am not
- 26:43Speaker 1: working either. Okay, this conversation is in that you have
- 26:46Speaker 1: a good day. Fine, we got hello, who the hell
- 26:52Speaker 1: you think you're hanging up on? Hello? Can I can
- 26:55Speaker 1: they speak back to a one more thing, sir? Okay,
- 26:57Speaker 1: just hello? Who the hell are you think you're hanging
- 27:08Speaker 1: up on? Lady? I told you bye, sir, No, you
- 27:12Speaker 1: did you hang up on me? And I mean a
- 27:13Speaker 1: minute of a conversation. This conversation it's ended and goodbye.
- 27:19Speaker 1: That's what I said. Now, whether you were talking and
- 27:21Speaker 1: didn't hear me, that's one thing. I don't hang up
- 27:24Speaker 1: in people's faith, because I don't want anybody hanging up
- 27:26Speaker 1: in mind. And I don't want to have to I say, sir,
- 27:30Speaker 1: we have nothing else to say to each other. This
- 27:32Speaker 1: conversation is ended, and I and I'm telling you, and
- 27:35Speaker 1: I'm telling you now, I don't want to have to
- 27:37Speaker 1: whoop anybody's ass. But if someone come here to eighteen,
- 27:40Speaker 1: that's what's gonna happen. I'll let the Lord know that. Okay,
- 27:44Speaker 1: So our conversation is over. Well, so now you now
- 27:46Speaker 1: you know, you know you gotta lear who nothing? And
- 27:49Speaker 1: I am saying goodbye? Okay, what can I Can I
- 27:52Speaker 1: say something else? I can't stop you from talking, but
- 27:55Speaker 1: I'm telling you goodbye. Can I tell you one more thing?
- 27:57Speaker 1: Yep yourself? This is Nephew time from the Steve Harvey
- 28:00Speaker 1: Morning Show. Your daughter Katrina got me to prank funk
- 28:04Speaker 1: calling you a cartail. Mama Lenda, how you doing? I'm doing.
- 28:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna beat Katrina up and listen to this stuff
- 28:31Speaker 1: all the time. You know what you gotta do for me,
- 28:36Speaker 1: Mama Lenda. It's twenty twenty. You gotta tell everybody let's listening.
- 28:39Speaker 1: What is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
- 28:42Speaker 1: show in the land, The Steve Harvey Morning. Do you
- 28:51Speaker 1: know what next week I might do? Trailing number nineteen,
- 28:54Speaker 1: number twenty, ain't no tell I might just going on
- 28:55Speaker 1: down the street. Eighteen didn't go that well for you
- 28:58Speaker 1: at first? Do you remember which is a good side?
- 29:07Speaker 1: Let's see it. I'm done. I don't know what I'm
- 29:08Speaker 1: gonna do next. You're taking your victory lap. You're chilling
- 29:12Speaker 1: thinking of coming up. At the top of the hour.
- 29:17Speaker 1: We'll have some entertainment and national news for you. Right
- 29:19Speaker 1: after this, you're listening well and trending entertainment news. Yesterday, Steve,
- 29:29Speaker 1: you were trending on the Shade Room and on Twitter
- 29:32Speaker 1: after an old interview resurface of you saying that men
- 29:36Speaker 1: and women can't be friends or they can't even have
- 29:38Speaker 1: a platonic relationship. Okay, take a listen for my friends
- 29:43Speaker 1: and men. I don't have female friends. I don't. I'm
- 29:46Speaker 1: incapable of that. What do I mean, Well, because you know,
- 29:51Speaker 1: come on, cause you have a wife. Well, I have
- 29:53Speaker 1: a wife, and I don't. I don't really have female friends.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Because look, okay, let's get rid of this. Okay, I'm
- 30:01Speaker 1: gonna tell you that that's good. Rid of this right there,
- 30:03Speaker 1: that you're an attractive woman. There's some guys somewhere is saying, yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 1: I'm we're friends. No, that's not true. He's your friend
- 30:10Speaker 1: only because you have made it absolutely clear that nothing
- 30:15Speaker 1: else is happening except this friendship we have. We remain
- 30:19Speaker 1: your friends in hopes that one day there'll be a
- 30:23Speaker 1: crack in the door, a chink in the armor and
- 30:25Speaker 1: trust and belief that guy that you think is just
- 30:28Speaker 1: your buddy, he will slide in that crack the moment
- 30:32Speaker 1: he gets the opportunity. Because we're god, ninety nine point
- 30:37Speaker 1: nine percent of us think that way. Yeah, I'm perfectly
- 30:43Speaker 1: comfortable with that. I'm fine with I can trend, you
- 30:47Speaker 1: know the content, and we gotta I stand by that. Okay, cool.
- 30:52Speaker 1: So what I'm asking you, Steve, have times change? You
- 30:54Speaker 1: still feel that way? You said you're standing by it,
- 30:56Speaker 1: But have times changed now? Because a lot of debate
- 30:59Speaker 1: about yeah, okay, you know actually and when they're married
- 31:04Speaker 1: and everything. Okay, I don't see how that works. I
- 31:09Speaker 1: don't see how that works. I can't see how you're
- 31:12Speaker 1: married and a female can call your house and you're
- 31:17Speaker 1: sitting up that talking to on the phone, and you
- 31:19Speaker 1: got a wife. How does that work? People? I got
- 31:23Speaker 1: friends that are married, though, that are opposite sex. You
- 31:26Speaker 1: can't have that. What you mean? I mean I got
- 31:29Speaker 1: friends that are married that the opposite sex. I don't
- 31:32Speaker 1: have nothing to do with that. Women, What you mean
- 31:35Speaker 1: you got friends that's married the opposite I have some
- 31:39Speaker 1: female friends that that they're married, but there's no interest
- 31:44Speaker 1: that we're just friends. She finds not all of them,
- 31:48Speaker 1: but my mom, Well, Okay, okay, well maybe we're throwing
- 31:52Speaker 1: the word friendship around to Lucy. Some of them are
- 31:56Speaker 1: what you get all of your damn friends from? How
- 31:58Speaker 1: who got all the many? Damn it? But wait a minute, week,
- 32:03Speaker 1: why do you think I can't hear more than one friend?
- 32:06Speaker 1: You always say that time? You know, we don't never
- 32:08Speaker 1: see you with the same friend. So you got Okay, man,
- 32:12Speaker 1: how many friends you think you have? Just out for
- 32:14Speaker 1: a number? How many friends you think? Are you talking male?
- 32:17Speaker 1: A female? That's all I probably got, really really a
- 32:23Speaker 1: true good for four or five friends? That's and how
- 32:26Speaker 1: many of them is women? No? No, no, not true
- 32:30Speaker 1: like that? Okay, what is we talking about? Are you
- 32:32Speaker 1: making this cast that point? Right now? Let's ask Junior.
- 32:37Speaker 1: He's not married, But what do you think, Junior? No,
- 32:43Speaker 1: I really can't be your friend? And you fine, no,
- 32:45Speaker 1: because I'm not what I'll be thinking about, because what
- 32:49Speaker 1: that's not what I'm be thinking about. I'm not gonna
- 32:50Speaker 1: be thinking about being your friend, you know, I'm thinking
- 32:53Speaker 1: about being your lover. But even if she she put
- 32:58Speaker 1: you in the friend zone yourself, I don't say I'm
- 33:00Speaker 1: gonna wait as soon as there's a slip up I'm
- 33:05Speaker 1: gonna wait. I'm gonna listen to the whole story. What
- 33:07Speaker 1: he did? What to you? God, he don't even know
- 33:09Speaker 1: what you willed? I don't and I don't know many
- 33:12Speaker 1: men who can pull that off. Your friends, Timmy has
- 33:17Speaker 1: four friends. He just said, all of them live. Yeah,
- 33:20Speaker 1: all right, Steve, we gotta move on hot topic right there,
- 33:24Speaker 1: All right, time for today's headlines. Let's go, ladies and gentlemen.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Miss Anne Tripp, Okay, thank you very much, and good
- 33:32Speaker 1: morning everybody out there. This is a trip of the news.
- 33:34Speaker 1: The State Departments ordering some non essential personnel at the
- 33:37Speaker 1: Umbassy and Cobble to leave old concerns for their safety.
- 33:41Speaker 1: The State Department says the job now is to find
- 33:43Speaker 1: alternatives to the metavac capabilities and other security services that
- 33:47Speaker 1: the US military has been providing the staff up there
- 33:50Speaker 1: at the State Department. Washington's also, you know, preparing to
- 33:54Speaker 1: get the remaining US forces out of Afghanistan by September eleventh.
- 33:58Speaker 1: The Centers for Disease Controls relaxing its guidelines for wearing
- 34:02Speaker 1: masks outdoors. The head of the CDC, doctor Rochelle Wilinsky,
- 34:06Speaker 1: says the fact that so many people have received. The
- 34:09Speaker 1: anti COVID serum has changed things for better. If you
- 34:12Speaker 1: are fully vaccinated and want to attend a small outdoor
- 34:16Speaker 1: gathering with people who are vaccinated and unvaccinated, or dying
- 34:20Speaker 1: at an outdoor restaurant with friends from multiple households, the
- 34:24Speaker 1: science shows if you're vaccinated, you can do so safely.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Unmasks will. Nevertheless, health officials are still urging people to
- 34:32Speaker 1: remain vigilant, since we're still living with a pandemic, and
- 34:35Speaker 1: since more contagious forms of the virus are still spreading,
- 34:38Speaker 1: and since a lot of Americans have not gotten any
- 34:42Speaker 1: kind of vaccine and won't do it and won't wear masks.
- 34:44Speaker 1: In Elizabeth City, North Carolina, the family of the late
- 34:47Speaker 1: Andrew Brown calling his killing by police and execution after
- 34:50Speaker 1: reviewing the results of an independent autopsy, Brown, who was unarmed,
- 34:55Speaker 1: shot and killed it he tried to drive away from
- 34:57Speaker 1: cops who wanted to apprehend him on a drug related search.
- 34:59Speaker 1: In arrest warrant. Brown's son, Khalil care Ferraby, says his
- 35:03Speaker 1: father was shot five times, but with a kill shot
- 35:06Speaker 1: execution style to the back of the head, even though
- 35:09Speaker 1: he was being sought for a non violent crime. Those
- 35:11Speaker 1: three gunshots to the arm. That war enough, That war enough.
- 35:16Speaker 1: It's obviously was trying to get away. It's obvious. Meanwhile,
- 35:19Speaker 1: earlier that day, across the board in Virginia, another unarmed
- 35:22Speaker 1: black man was killed by white cops. He was on
- 35:24Speaker 1: the phone to the nine one one dispatcher. Isaiah Brown,
- 35:28Speaker 1: no relation to Andrew Brown, was shot ten times by
- 35:31Speaker 1: cops who thought his phone was a weapon. All seven
- 35:34Speaker 1: of them had been suspended at last report. Isaiah Brown's
- 35:37Speaker 1: fighting for his life. Policing practices across the nation coming
- 35:40Speaker 1: under scrutiny in the wake of George Floyd's and Brianna
- 35:43Speaker 1: Taylor's murders. Abergeiger, the former Texas cop who murdered a
- 35:46Speaker 1: black accountant named Botham Jean in October twenty nineteen. She
- 35:50Speaker 1: wants out of jail. She was sentenced to ten years
- 35:52Speaker 1: in prison. A panel of three judges heard her. Lloyd's
- 35:55Speaker 1: argument for appeal. Yesterday he had turned out scrabbles about
- 35:58Speaker 1: to clean up its act, no longer allowing racial, ethnic
- 36:00Speaker 1: slurs or curse words. Remember that's the way it's going
- 36:05Speaker 1: to be. Now back to the Steve Harby Morning Show.
- 36:08Speaker 1: You're listening. All right, So Steve, during our last segment,
- 36:13Speaker 1: we told you that you're really trending on Twitter in
- 36:16Speaker 1: the shade room because they found an old interview you
- 36:18Speaker 1: did saying that men and women can't be friends, and
- 36:22Speaker 1: you were saying, you stand by what you said. You
- 36:26Speaker 1: don't believe that men and women can't be friends if
- 36:28Speaker 1: they're in relationships with other people. Look are these kinds
- 36:34Speaker 1: of people and that are that kind of people. If
- 36:38Speaker 1: you want to take the position that you can be friends,
- 36:42Speaker 1: then go ahead, give it a try. But I am
- 36:46Speaker 1: saying if you are in a valid relationship, those friendships
- 36:51Speaker 1: are hard to maintain, and those friendships will interfere with
- 36:57Speaker 1: your committed relationship. They almost always do. They almost all.
- 37:06Speaker 1: How many strawberry letters do we get? How many times?
- 37:09Speaker 1: How many people do I know where? See because it
- 37:13Speaker 1: listened to me. In order to build and maintain a friendship,
- 37:17Speaker 1: it takes time. Any time that pulls away from your
- 37:22Speaker 1: committed relationship, it's gonna be considered by your partner time
- 37:26Speaker 1: that could be devoted to them or your kids. And
- 37:32Speaker 1: so if you are pulling time away from your partner
- 37:36Speaker 1: and your children to maintain this relationship, with this other person.
- 37:40Speaker 1: It can stop creat a problem. Now if you couples
- 37:45Speaker 1: and y'all got friendships among each other, okay, cool, but
- 37:49Speaker 1: it's very hard man, if you are in a relationship
- 37:54Speaker 1: to have a friendship and it's not a couple's thing,
- 37:59Speaker 1: it's just it's a great area. That's just me that
- 38:03Speaker 1: you have every right to feel like you can be
- 38:07Speaker 1: buddies to the to the moon. Come on, turn off, fine,
- 38:13Speaker 1: you know. See. See the thing about social media is
- 38:17Speaker 1: they do things to create the controversy. I didn't say
- 38:21Speaker 1: it to create controversy. I said it to give my opinion.
- 38:25Speaker 1: But you have every right. Yeah. But see, I don't
- 38:29Speaker 1: want to be trending to be everybody's damn whipping board
- 38:31Speaker 1: because you don't think like I think. Have your friends,
- 38:36Speaker 1: you get on your nerve, have your friends. Now when
- 38:41Speaker 1: something go wrong in your relationship because one of your friends.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Because I'm gonna say something about women. If your girl
- 38:48Speaker 1: knows you have a friendship with another woman, what woman
- 38:53Speaker 1: ain't gonna have a little curiosity about that friendship? Who that?
- 38:58Speaker 1: Why this woman that? Because I ain't met her yet,
- 39:01Speaker 1: she ain't on this show. Yeah, they got a female friend.
- 39:06Speaker 1: You can say that yeah, yeah with the couples. All right,
- 39:12Speaker 1: I hear what you say. Who you're talking You're talking
- 39:14Speaker 1: to your wife, your Frande. Great debate, So coming up
- 39:21Speaker 1: at thirty four minutes after the hour, right, and more
- 39:24Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 39:27Speaker 1: listening to show. Okay, So last segment. You know we've
- 39:33Speaker 1: been talking about this. We said it earlier, Steve, you
- 39:36Speaker 1: were trending yesterday on Shade Room and Twitter. Old interview
- 39:40Speaker 1: resurfaced about you talking about men and women camp as
- 39:44Speaker 1: they can't be in a platomic relationship. And you know
- 39:47Speaker 1: we were talking about an off air So this is
- 39:49Speaker 1: really the great debate. You know, we always talk about this.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Uh so you have more you want to say about this? Well, look,
- 39:58Speaker 1: I mean, like I always say, su people. First of all,
- 40:01Speaker 1: let's get this whole thing in context. If you are
- 40:05Speaker 1: in a relationship, having a friendship with a member of
- 40:10Speaker 1: the opposite sect, it's gonna be hard to maintain that
- 40:13Speaker 1: friendship because it will take away time from your committed
- 40:17Speaker 1: relationship and your family. That's number two. But let's just
- 40:21Speaker 1: say you're single and you have a female friend. Okay,
- 40:26Speaker 1: that's cool, But now that changes the moment you are
- 40:32Speaker 1: attracted to her, you're single, and you have a female friend. Okay, man,
- 40:38Speaker 1: let me tell you something. I don't care what these
- 40:40Speaker 1: men on Twitter talking about. I don't give a damn
- 40:44Speaker 1: what they say. You can get on here and try
- 40:47Speaker 1: to act all brand new like you Cosmo Pilot, than
- 40:50Speaker 1: then you Metro and all listen. Dog, at the end
- 40:54Speaker 1: of the day, you are mad, you're saying you know
- 40:56Speaker 1: good in hair well or what I'm saying to you
- 40:58Speaker 1: is real at some point if you're sitting up there
- 41:01Speaker 1: in that conversation started turning pardoning them and you see
- 41:05Speaker 1: an opening. How long you think y'all gonna be friends?
- 41:08Speaker 1: Y'all be friends with benefits. And it's not making women sexual.
- 41:12Speaker 1: It's just I want you to be aware of how
- 41:14Speaker 1: we are as men and how we think. And yeah,
- 41:22Speaker 1: and y'all can look man, you don't have to another. Yeah.
- 41:29Speaker 1: So here's what I say to everybody on Twitter and
- 41:32Speaker 1: everybody on the Shade room. You can disagree with Uncle Steve.
- 41:36Speaker 1: That's absolutely fine. You a perfect way. And you can
- 41:39Speaker 1: think I'm an old fashioned I probably am. But I
- 41:44Speaker 1: can't have female friends in my relationship. My wife can't
- 41:50Speaker 1: have male friends in our relationship. Now, if you think
- 41:54Speaker 1: you can run it another way, they didn't, go ahead
- 41:55Speaker 1: and run it. But when you get through, cut on
- 41:58Speaker 1: the housewive shows, cut on all these love and hip
- 42:01Speaker 1: hop Miami New Yak and just watch and see how
- 42:04Speaker 1: long it left. Go just tune into the reunions. You
- 42:07Speaker 1: ain't gonna watch your whole show. All what I'm saying
- 42:12Speaker 1: is on all these shows you can watch Ready for Love,
- 42:15Speaker 1: Ready to Love, You gonna get to what I'm telling
- 42:19Speaker 1: you now. If you want to disagree, that's perfectly fine.
- 42:23Speaker 1: But ladies, let let me let me just slide a
- 42:25Speaker 1: little something to you. I've been a man long as time.
- 42:30Speaker 1: All my friends are men, all of them I know.
- 42:42Speaker 1: And then the label of friendship. So if people are listening,
- 42:45Speaker 1: they can say, well, aren't you friends or Carlin Shirley,
- 42:48Speaker 1: aren't you friends with them? Yes we are, but we
- 42:52Speaker 1: are work friends and we have a work relationship and
- 42:56Speaker 1: we and we've become more than friends. We almost family family.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I can call Shirley because I'm gonna call her about work.
- 43:04Speaker 1: Call it calls us about work all the time. My
- 43:07Speaker 1: wife know that. Yep. Now some other girl that work
- 43:14Speaker 1: at our heart radio or something that ain't in this
- 43:19Speaker 1: When she called, if she called, what time? She's just
- 43:26Speaker 1: telling me how she enjoyed this show. What you're just
- 43:31Speaker 1: talking about the show? Why you gotta talk to her
- 43:33Speaker 1: about this show? Because your girl gonna get suspicious and
- 43:37Speaker 1: your guy gonna get suspicious. In relationships like that, you
- 43:40Speaker 1: don't leave room for error, you know, like you say,
- 43:44Speaker 1: once that door is open, you you leave an opportunity
- 43:48Speaker 1: or a chance that someone may walk in and you know,
- 43:51Speaker 1: get it cracking if that's you know, what's in their mind?
- 43:55Speaker 1: So who is this mbing in love? Count and you
- 43:58Speaker 1: from Chicago on WWJ? Who is the car be one
- 44:03Speaker 1: of three? Three? All right, well, Steve, you know I'm Africa?
- 44:13Speaker 1: What is I'm trending forward? Coming up next? The nephew
- 44:20Speaker 1: is here with the prank phone call. Right after this,
- 44:23Speaker 1: you're listening to morning show coming up at the top
- 44:28Speaker 1: of the hour. Right about four minutes after, it's my
- 44:30Speaker 1: Strawberry letter for today. The subject he tells his mama everything. Dang,
- 44:38Speaker 1: we'll get into that. We'll get into that a little later,
- 44:40Speaker 1: but right now, the nephew's here, Yeah, everything. Nephew is
- 44:45Speaker 1: here right now with today's prank phone call. What you
- 44:47Speaker 1: got for his nef? I left my ring. That's the
- 44:52Speaker 1: title right there. I left my ring. This is not
- 44:57Speaker 1: Lord of the Rings. This is not Ring around the
- 45:01Speaker 1: I loved my RINGO. Hello, I'm trying to reach a mister.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Mister missus please all right. My name is doctor. I'm
- 45:15Speaker 1: actually trying to reach your husband Clarence. Is he Is
- 45:18Speaker 1: he available? I have to check? Is that reason you? Colin? Well,
- 45:23Speaker 1: I'm actually the surgeon that actually did the procedure on
- 45:26Speaker 1: removing his gall stones wall. How's he doing as any
- 45:29Speaker 1: complications thus far? Well? More complication the doctor? Okay, well listen, uh,
- 45:35Speaker 1: there's a couple of little bit of things I want
- 45:37Speaker 1: to discuss with you guys and see if we can
- 45:40Speaker 1: maybe get them rectified. Is he around? H oh? He
- 45:48Speaker 1: actually miss Actually, when we actually did the procedure on
- 45:52Speaker 1: your on your husband and removing the gall stones wall,
- 45:55Speaker 1: I will say that there's a bit of a mistake
- 45:57Speaker 1: made and I'm hoping that he can come back in
- 45:59Speaker 1: so we can kind of get it rectified. You know,
- 46:01Speaker 1: it'll be actually thirty minutes and he'll be in and out.
- 46:03Speaker 1: But actually, when I removed the gall stones and I'm
- 46:07Speaker 1: very embarrassed to say this. I actually left my wedding
- 46:10Speaker 1: ring inside your hus and I understand, man, I say,
- 46:17Speaker 1: I actually left my wedding ring inside your husband when
- 46:20Speaker 1: I actually removed the gall stones. And I'm hoping that
- 46:23Speaker 1: he'll come back in so I can actually take it
- 46:26Speaker 1: out and he'll be on his way. He's my book,
- 46:30Speaker 1: Oh man, let me take it? What ye hello? Hello? Hello,
- 46:47Speaker 1: mister yeah, how you doing? This is doctor who I
- 46:50Speaker 1: actually did the surgery on you when you were came
- 46:53Speaker 1: in and got your gall stones removed. I will say this,
- 46:57Speaker 1: mister Clarence, I actually made a bit of a mistake
- 46:59Speaker 1: when you were here year and my apology. If I
- 47:02Speaker 1: can actually get you come back, hen man, I can
- 47:04Speaker 1: get you taken care of it, and then this is
- 47:07Speaker 1: just a big mistake on my part. But when you
- 47:09Speaker 1: guys came in and I remove your stones, I actually
- 47:12Speaker 1: left my wedding ring inside inside of me. Ye ye, yes, sir,
- 47:16Speaker 1: you're wedding ring. Sir. I know this is crazy, but yes,
- 47:20Speaker 1: I have truly made a mistake and want to see
- 47:23Speaker 1: if I can get this thing rectified and get this
- 47:24Speaker 1: thing taken out. And I tell you, man, I've been
- 47:28Speaker 1: without my ring, and my wife is raising holy hell
- 47:30Speaker 1: about it. Yeah, but you know something, doctor, we got
- 47:33Speaker 1: a problem with What do you mean? I mean, I'm
- 47:36Speaker 1: about to go back to work. I really can't be
- 47:38Speaker 1: going back into the operated room for somebody to take
- 47:41Speaker 1: a ring out of me that they left, that they left.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Bad mistake, you know what I'm saying. Okay, I mean,
- 47:48Speaker 1: you know, I realize your wife might be upstanding. You
- 47:50Speaker 1: need your ring, but at this point that ring's gonna
- 47:53Speaker 1: have to stay where it is for a while. So
- 47:54Speaker 1: I can't. I runnestly, can't allow with that ring to
- 47:57Speaker 1: stay there another two or three days. I don't think
- 47:59Speaker 1: you understanding what I'm going through. There's no way I
- 48:01Speaker 1: can allow that. Yeah, I got to go back to worry.
- 48:05Speaker 1: But you know something, I mean, you know, I mean,
- 48:07Speaker 1: you know we're talking about a bad, bad, serious problem.
- 48:10Speaker 1: You know we're talking about mal practice. I mean, you
- 48:12Speaker 1: know we're talking about me taking out more time and
- 48:14Speaker 1: work when I'm ready to go back. I mean, you know,
- 48:15Speaker 1: we're talking law suit, all kinds of stuff. Yeah, we
- 48:18Speaker 1: need to get together. Can you hear me that? No? Yeah? Yeah, okay,
- 48:25Speaker 1: my wife's upset too. I mean you know, I can't
- 48:29Speaker 1: get back on an operating tape. Sir. This won't take
- 48:32Speaker 1: for seconds. It's actually for me to snip that thing
- 48:34Speaker 1: and get that ring out of there. It won't take
- 48:35Speaker 1: but a minute. I mean, you still have the same
- 48:37Speaker 1: incisions there. I can go right back into what the
- 48:39Speaker 1: same scar was and take that out and keep it moving.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Go back into the same and you're gonna operate again.
- 48:45Speaker 1: If you're cutting me open, sir, I promise you you
- 48:48Speaker 1: won't even know I was there. I'll go in there
- 48:49Speaker 1: and take that ring out just that quick. Okay, But
- 48:53Speaker 1: but let me ask you this here. My wife. My
- 48:54Speaker 1: wife is about to go crazy. I'm I'm pretty I'm
- 48:57Speaker 1: a pretty good guy here. But I mean, you know
- 48:59Speaker 1: you gotta left for ringing, man. I mean, you know,
- 49:01Speaker 1: do you all have mal practice insurance? And we have
- 49:03Speaker 1: plenty of insurance. You know, it's really more about what
- 49:07Speaker 1: I'm going through at home. So I'm doing this for years. Yeah,
- 49:10Speaker 1: pretty much here at this point, I mean, no one
- 49:11Speaker 1: actually from the hospital actually knows that I'm actually calling you. Wow,
- 49:16Speaker 1: you know, I mean that's a big, big problem. You
- 49:18Speaker 1: said something about malpractice. No, I didn't say anything about
- 49:21Speaker 1: mail practice. You guys actually said that. I didn't say anything. Okay,
- 49:24Speaker 1: now let me oh, okay, hold on not daring hold on? Well, now,
- 49:30Speaker 1: let me ask you this here. Every time I've heard
- 49:32Speaker 1: of somebody leaving something inside of somebody, you know, it
- 49:35Speaker 1: usually end up being a situation where it sets up
- 49:38Speaker 1: infections and stuff. Well, that's that's an eighteen care goal.
- 49:41Speaker 1: That's not going to infect you at all. Yeah, I
- 49:43Speaker 1: understand what you're saying, but good grief. I mean, I
- 49:47Speaker 1: just I mean, I didn't even want to do the
- 49:48Speaker 1: first surgery, but I didn't have any choice. You know what,
- 49:51Speaker 1: I'll be honest with you. I tried to talk to
- 49:53Speaker 1: you and be patient with you. If I got to
- 49:56Speaker 1: come over and put some core form up against your
- 49:58Speaker 1: nose and knock you out, I wanted to perform this
- 50:00Speaker 1: procedure to get my ring, then damn it, that's what
- 50:03Speaker 1: I gotta do. Oh, hold on that that what I'm
- 50:06Speaker 1: supposed to be doing. Why are you doing that? You
- 50:08Speaker 1: hear that? And you what he said? Who? Come on?
- 50:13Speaker 1: You know I'm not gonna stand for these stretch now.
- 50:15Speaker 1: You know that's your problem with your ring. Now. You know,
- 50:18Speaker 1: up until now, everything was cool. Now you got a
- 50:21Speaker 1: big problem. I tell you it's here. I'm at home
- 50:24Speaker 1: right now. You're at home with my ring. You got
- 50:26Speaker 1: my ring? You come get it right now the way? No, okay, now,
- 50:31Speaker 1: I don't I don't have a problem coming right over
- 50:33Speaker 1: there to get my ring. But want I need my
- 50:36Speaker 1: ring back? Let's do it. Come on over. Why I
- 50:38Speaker 1: need Why don't we got something for you? Down? Hey, listen,
- 50:42Speaker 1: I don't care what the both of you are doing.
- 50:44Speaker 1: The bottom line is that you have my ring. I
- 50:47Speaker 1: got your ring. You just told me I had it,
- 50:48Speaker 1: and it's inside of it. Well, I's gonna stay, sir.
- 50:51Speaker 1: I'm not gonna continue to go back and forth with you.
- 50:53Speaker 1: You're not gonna continue to do anything because you come over.
- 50:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna kick you out. You already threatened to come
- 50:58Speaker 1: over here and put Plora from I'm gonna locking me
- 51:01Speaker 1: out to go in the side of my body to
- 51:03Speaker 1: come over here. Doctor, got problems. I'll tell you what.
- 51:05Speaker 1: I don't want any problems out of your wife or
- 51:07Speaker 1: heart of you. That's only gonna take thirty minutes and
- 51:11Speaker 1: everybody will be happy after that. You won't make it down.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I understand everything you say. I got one more thing
- 51:17Speaker 1: I need to say to the both of you all.
- 51:18Speaker 1: Are you listening to me? I'm listening. It's Dorus listening. No,
- 51:22Speaker 1: not really, tude you out. Well, where's the last thing
- 51:25Speaker 1: I need to say to you? This is Nephew Tommy

- 54:09Speaker 1: a straw. Every letter subject he tells his mama everything.
- 54:13Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a twenty eight year old woman
- 54:16Speaker 1: that just eloped with the love of my life. We
- 54:19Speaker 1: dated for seven years and we did not want to
- 54:21Speaker 1: waste money on a big wedding, so we eloped and
- 54:24Speaker 1: had a nice ceremony. I also wanted to elope so
- 54:28Speaker 1: my husband's mom wouldn't be all in the mix trying
- 54:31Speaker 1: to tell us what to do. She's the reason that
- 54:33Speaker 1: I waited so long to get married. She's a meddler
- 54:37Speaker 1: and a gossiper, and it's not really her fault because
- 54:40Speaker 1: my husband tells her everything I do. It's been going
- 54:44Speaker 1: on since we started dating seven years ago, and we
- 54:46Speaker 1: fight about his mother all the time. Back when we
- 54:49Speaker 1: first had sex, he told his mother and she told
- 54:53Speaker 1: my mother. My mother was hurt. My husband and I
- 54:56Speaker 1: broke up twice before we got married because his mom
- 54:59Speaker 1: said I was too into sex after he told her
- 55:01Speaker 1: that my sex drive is very high. The second time
- 55:05Speaker 1: we broke up, he told his mother that I was
- 55:07Speaker 1: considering dying my hair blonde, and his mother called me
- 55:10Speaker 1: and said, that's not a classy color for a black girl.
- 55:14Speaker 1: I started making up stuff just to see how much
- 55:19Speaker 1: of a mama's boy he was being, and he fell
- 55:22Speaker 1: right into the trap. I told him I was behind
- 55:25Speaker 1: in my student loan payments, and he told his mama.
- 55:28Speaker 1: She called me and asked if I was having money
- 55:31Speaker 1: problems and suggested that I get a second job so
- 55:33Speaker 1: I could pay my bills. I'd had enough and I
- 55:37Speaker 1: decided to fight fire with fire. I told his mom
- 55:40Speaker 1: that he's experiencing ed so we have not had sex
- 55:45Speaker 1: in over three weeks. His mama called him and he
- 55:48Speaker 1: was fuming mad at me and said I shouldn't have
- 55:50Speaker 1: told his mama his business. Oh really, He has avoided
- 55:55Speaker 1: me the past few days. But we need to have
- 55:57Speaker 1: a discussion about his mama and her never ending mess.
- 56:01Speaker 1: How do I get him to stop telling his mama everything?
- 56:04Speaker 1: Please help? I think you asked a little late for
- 56:08Speaker 1: all of this. You're married now, His mama is his mama,
- 56:12Speaker 1: and she's been allowed to to be all up in
- 56:15Speaker 1: the mix for seven years. Okay, she's not going to
- 56:18Speaker 1: change that. This is a monster your mama's boy husband
- 56:22Speaker 1: created and there are no boundaries with him or her.
- 56:26Speaker 1: I mean, you saw that seven years ago. He tells
- 56:29Speaker 1: her everything, and then she goes and runs her mouth.
- 56:31Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, I'm really surprised that you married into this.
- 56:35Speaker 1: You said you waited to marry him for seven years
- 56:38Speaker 1: because of his mama and her mouth. But she's still
- 56:42Speaker 1: doing it. So what was the seven year wait for.
- 56:45Speaker 1: She has not changed. You could have married him seven
- 56:48Speaker 1: years ago and gotten the same thing, the same, very
- 56:51Speaker 1: same thing as you got now. The only time you
- 56:54Speaker 1: break up now, think about this. You said then a letter,
- 56:56Speaker 1: you broke up twice. The only time you broke up
- 56:58Speaker 1: was because of his mom get into his business. I'm
- 57:01Speaker 1: still trying to figure out why you thought it would
- 57:03Speaker 1: be different now because he put a ring on it. No,
- 57:08Speaker 1: this situation is stupid. He I just think he is
- 57:13Speaker 1: and always will be a mama's boy who hasn't learned
- 57:16Speaker 1: to put his wife first. And that's the problem. And
- 57:21Speaker 1: mom is just doing mom, She's just doing her. This
- 57:24Speaker 1: marriage is not gonna last unless you and your husband
- 57:27Speaker 1: presents some sort of united front to his mother so
- 57:32Speaker 1: she'll know that she needs to butt out of your marriage,
- 57:35Speaker 1: plain and simple, Steve, everything surely said is true. It's
- 57:42Speaker 1: not a lot I can add to this, but you
- 57:45Speaker 1: know I will. But you know I like, I like see,
- 57:50Speaker 1: I like little bitty stuff. The fact that you eloped
- 57:58Speaker 1: says it all right there. And the reason you elope
- 58:01Speaker 1: is because his mother's messy and you ain't want up
- 58:03Speaker 1: in your business. Now, you obviously love this dude because
- 58:07Speaker 1: y'all have been dating seven years. But you're Elope. You
- 58:10Speaker 1: had a nice little ceremony. Now she's a meddler gossiper.
- 58:16Speaker 1: But it's not her fault because my husband tells her everything. See,
- 58:20Speaker 1: this whole letter really has nothing to do with her.
- 58:25Speaker 1: This letter is about you, the writer and your husband
- 58:30Speaker 1: der mama's boy, because that's all he is. He's a
- 58:35Speaker 1: mama's boy. Now, at the end of your letter, you say,
- 58:42Speaker 1: how do I get him to stop telling his mama everything?
- 58:46Speaker 1: It's gonna be hard. It's really really going to be
- 58:49Speaker 1: hard because he's a mama's boy and he's been one
- 58:54Speaker 1: for at least you say you're twenty eight. Let's just
- 58:56Speaker 1: say y'all the same age. He's twenty eight and y'all
- 58:59Speaker 1: been together seven years. He's been a mama's boy for
- 59:05Speaker 1: about twenty eight damn years, the whole damn time. So
- 59:14Speaker 1: it's hard to disengage or get a person to resend
- 59:21Speaker 1: all these thoughts he's been having for twenty eight years.
- 59:23Speaker 1: He's a mama's boy. Let me just go through a
- 59:26Speaker 1: couple of things right here. Y'all fight about his mama
- 59:30Speaker 1: all the time because he defends her because he's a
- 59:34Speaker 1: mama's boy. So then he told you he told his
- 59:40Speaker 1: mother that when y'all finally had sex? Who do that?
- 59:45Speaker 1: Me and my mama have never buff discussed sex ever.
- 59:54Speaker 1: We didn't have the birds and the bees conversation. My
- 59:56Speaker 1: daddy came and gave that to me. It was short,
- 59:59Speaker 1: it was the point, and it was not clinical. I
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: would love to have heard that. I can't repeat nothing
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: he told me. I believe it. That was my sex
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: education talk with my daddy. Rule threw me into something.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: How old were you about? Twelve thirteen? All right? You
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: know back then that was that was plenty of time. Yeah,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: I hold that thought, Steve. We'll have part two of
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: your response coming up in twenty three minutes after the
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: hour today's Strawberry letter. He tells his mama everything. We'll
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening to show,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: all right, Come on, Steve Lett's recap today's Strawberry Letter
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: subject he tells his mama everything. What's your problem? You
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: didn't married a mama's boy. Now you waited seven years
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: to man because his mama's always met, and so y'all
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: eloped so she wouldn't be up in your bus since
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: she had a nice little ceremony. But your husband tells
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: her stuff all the time, and all y'all do is
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: fight about hurt. Back when y'all first had sex, he
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: told his mother. His mama got on the phone, call
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: your mama. Your mother was hurt. Y'all broke up twice
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: before y'all got mad because his mama said I was
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: two into six after he told her my sex drive
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: is hot. What boy goes in there talking to his
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: mama about his girlfriend sex driving? Right? I don't know anyone,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: So right there, lady, what are we talking about? The
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: second time we broke up, he told his mother that
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I was considering dying my head blonde, and his mama
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: called me and said, that's not a classic color for
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: a black girl. I hadn't seen some flave chicks with
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: some black girls. Richard blonde boy. Carla has blind in
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: her hair, and it's always how it's always whipped. That's
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: one thing about the ladies on this show, Carling Shirley Monica.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: They are gonna be right, yeah, always. But she didn't
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: want you to die your hair black. So then you
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: started making up stuff to see how much of a
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: mama's boy he fell into the trap. He'd have told
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: everything I was behind. That was my student lone payments,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: he told his mama. She called me and as well,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: I was having money problems and suggestion I get a
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: second job because the show can't count on my baby
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: because he my baby. Not gonna have this boy working
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: on two jobs and he'd be tied then. So then
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: you decided to fight fire with fire. You told his
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: mother that he's experiencing ED so we ain't had sex,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: and over three weeks his mama called him and he
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: was fuming mad at me and said I shouldn't have
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: told his mama his business. Well, ain't that stupid? Yeah,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: you tell all of hers a mom. He avoided me
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: the past few days. But we need to have a
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: discussion about his mama and this never ending mess. How
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: do I get him stop telling? You can't he's a
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: mama's boy, and he'd been there for twenty years. And
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I want you to understand it's not her as him.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: You're married to a mama's boy. Period. I don't know
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: how to stop these mama boys because I've seen some
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: bad cases of that. What's the worst, Well, I had
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: to due one time. He was real close to his mother.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: You know, we understood that because his father had died.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: You know, we grew up together. But he just everything
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: My mama said. I'm gonna tell my mama, hey, hey,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: because you're on our street. The lady down the street
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: could give you whipping two oh yeah, yeah yeah, and
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: I village all savages. I'd have got beat by all
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: my friends. Mother. Yeah, but there's not about here. It's
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: just a real case. Shirley said it best. This is
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: a mama's boy. He's not going to check. I can't
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: help you. You married a mama's boy. All I can
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: help you with is relationship problems with me? What does
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: she wait for seven years to get the same thing? Though?
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: Why don't you do this, lady, because you may be
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: able to get out this marriage. Why don't you check
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: his driver's license and get a copy's birthtivity because you
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: might be you know, he might be fourteen. He's feel
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: a boy, he's feel you can get out your marriage.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Why would she got a high sex dride? Tell your
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: mama dad about you? What mama bringing it? Yeah? Ain't
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: you got to go to work? Why is she screwing
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: all evening? I'm gonna call huh listen, Lacresia, This is
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: Earls mama. How much time we got? We got time
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: for a reenactmentute a minute? Ten seconds? Shirley, huh oh, yes,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna call you. I'm gonna call you. You the wife? Okay, hello, Shirley, Yes,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: this is Earles mama. Win got a lot of time. Okay,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: you an earl? Earl says you got a high sex drive?
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: He did? Don't act like he was talking about you. Well,
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: wait a minute now, missus Dorothy, that's our business. Why
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: did he tell you that? Did you ask it? What
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: it calls? Earl beat high and he got to go
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: to work? Well? Are you all in here all night
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: dancing on the edge of the bed and everything it
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: needs to get his rich erl? Kaye perform his job
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: and perform with you too. Well? He five hailves a week. Well,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: miss Dorothy. I understand you told my mother. Now my
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: mother is upset. Missus Dorothy, I told your mamma because
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: we got to stop him. Am I doing that so well?
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Miss Dorothy, that's just perfectly natural. I'm human? Who in
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: this boy? All these days of the week. He's a man,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Miss Dorothy. You keep saying he's a boy. He's gonna think,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: here's my baby here? All right, listen, I think we
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: get it. Thank you, Steve post your comments Today's Strawberry Letter,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: and Steve Harvey FM and Instagram and Facebook coming up
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: with forty six minutes after Junior in Sports talk right
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: after this you're listening show. All right, guys, get ready,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Junior is here with sports talk. When you got Junior, yeah, surely. Um.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Let me just say this NFL draft will be tomorrow night.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: That's your sports talk. Let me just to just confess
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: something for a second about this whole thing we've been
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: talking about all morning, Carla, about about being friends and everything.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Men and women, Yeah, being men, men and women being friends.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Let me just confess this. First of all, I had
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: to grow into a friendship with Mississippi Monica because I
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: didn't see friend when I first saw her. When I
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: first started to work here, I didn't see friend. I
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: saw when I saw mud, I saw a relationship. I
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: had an instant family. It was I saw, yeah I
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: need like yeah, I mean, but that's the first thing
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: I thought. I didn't think about I'm gonna be her friend.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: I didn't think that. I saw us on an island
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: somewhere with with some drinks and just talking no one another.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: That's what I was thinking. Now I found out we
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: were friends through Monica. Oh, I could put you in
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: the friends round. That's how I found out, and most
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: men five out. That's how they friends, wouldn't they tell us? Right? Yeah? Yeah,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: if you've remained friends, we are great friends and she's
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: been a great asset to my life. But that wasn't
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: the first thing I thought it. Okay, you've accepted. I
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: had to now because it can't go underwear. She won't
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: let it be getting different. So that's you know, that's
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: where I'm word. If she were to change her mind,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: you're ready right there. Who wouldn't, Who wouldn't. That's good
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: to Yeah, that's the purpose of it. Yeah, I like it. Yeah, Yeah,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: I'm like what I'm saying, Like I'm friends on the protest.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: That's what I am. All right. That sports, Yeah, that's
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: all I had to I had to get that out
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: the way. The draft tomorrow, forget that. This is more important.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Monica's here to day, right, yes, sir, draft starts tomorrow.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: None of that on you. Over here. They don't give
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: a damn about football or basketball, cricket. I don't actually
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: figured cricket out now. And rugby, oh yeah, rugby? Have
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: you have you gotten into it? Any of it? You
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: watch it? Yeah? A little bit. They got female rugby
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: rugby over here too. Oh wow, okay, it was one
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: of the contestants on the show. Cute little African girl.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: This little girl I'm talking about fly rugby player. I
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: thought she was the ball you thought she was. She
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: was so damn little, like huh about eighty nine pounds.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: I see it? So popular? Are you over there? Just
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: give us an idea. I can't go nowhere, I can't anywhere. No,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: I can't go anywhere. And it's a different kind of
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: love over here too. Huh. It's sheer appreciation. Oh, I
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: disbelieve that is human. But they are so man all right,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: coming up, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the String Show. All right, guys,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: listen to this crazy story. Please. Fully vaccinated people can
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: now unmask at small outdoor gatherings or when dining outside
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: with friends from multiple households. That's okay, the CDC is telling, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: that's that's fine. Just keep listening, keep listening. The CDC
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: is telling unvaccinated people that they still need to wear
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: a mask at such gatherings. Also, fully vaccinated people who
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: do choose to attend a crowded outdoor event such as
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: a live performance or sporting event, wearing a mask is recommended.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: The CDC at eyes vaccinated people to still wear a
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: mask and indoor public spaces such as a mall, movie theater,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: or museum. Okay, you got that right, right, all right?
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: So meanwhile, while the CDC, you know, put that announcement out,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: here's Tucker Carlson from Fox News, the anchor over there,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: suggesting that you ask people to take their masks off
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: if they are wearing them outside. Uh, you ask them,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: You call the police, and you could even call Child
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: Protective Services if you see children wearing masks outside, you
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: want them all what's yeah, we're still in a pandemic.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Everybody hasn't had their shots, and what Tucker Carlson, Child
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: Protective Services. Yeah, the police say no. He's trying to say,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: since the CDC is saying you don't have to wear
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: your mask out side if you've been vaccinated. If you
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: see people with their mask on outside, go up to him,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: take their masks off. Call the police. So if you
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: see their children wearing masks on outside, call Child Protecting
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: Services on them. It's an idiot. He's an idiot. He's
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: a complete idiot. We're still in the pandemic here. We're
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: still we're still in the pandemic. Don't' don't let your
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: news anchor get you. I'd be trying to be stupid.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: See he's not trying to be that's that's that's cool.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: The CDC has given the guidelines. You don't come back
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: behind the CDC and issue your own stuff. Tucker Carlson,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: stop it. You don't go up on people. Yeah, you
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: leave people alone. You don't call the police. Some people.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: We've got enough problem with the police right now. They've
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: been jockey for a position over there. Every sist, oh
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Trump boy got put off. They've been Hannity became they dude.
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: Now Tucker Carlson, he wants to bump Hannity, so he
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: coming with the more controversial stuff. True. Yea, lord, lord,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: I mean that's just ridiculous. Yeah, I just think that's
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: irresponsible as a broadcaster to say that stuff, to even
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: suggest that to your viewers. Call the pol as much
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: trouble is I mean, as we've had, as we're having
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: with the police right now, get out here, call the
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: police on people with with masks. What'd you say, Tommy,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: tuck your ass in your house and shut up, not
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: tuck it though crazy. You can't just go in there.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: You gotta tuck it it. Get over here right now,
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: there are people wearing masks, Get out here, tell them
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: to take their masks. Is. If y'all tell me one
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: more thing about fun, I'm gonna stop you'all from watching Fox.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I mean, I'm gonna stop yall from watching because this
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: isn't guy's too stupid. It's just two weeks. Yeah, he's
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: telling he's actually telling people to go up and harass
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: other people who are wearing masks. That's not gonna be good. No,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: that's from the president. He sent all the people down
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: there at the rage the capital. Yeah. Yeah, they just
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: send the people to do I'm so sick these people, man. Yeah,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: it's a lot going on man in this country. Every
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: single day. It's something just like it's your freedom. Uh
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: you say you don't want to wear a mask, so
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: don't mess with people that want to wear that. Yeah,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: everybody has can do what they want to do. We're
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: all free in this country. Stop that call the police.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: What's wrong with you? Child Protective Services on Kids? All right.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: We'll have more of today's trending stories on the Steve

- 1:16:49Speaker 1: at thirty three minutes after. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: to all right, here we go again. What's going on?
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: We always have to asked this question because we told
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: you about this yesterday. It's been all over everything. An
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: autopsy done for the family of Andrew Brown Junior says
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: that Andrew Brown Junior was shot five times and shot
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: in the head. One of brown family's attorneys, Chantelle Cherry Lasseter,
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: said the family was only shown twenty seconds of the
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: body camera footage and it showed Brown in his vehicle
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: boxed in a driveway by law enforcement so he couldn't escape.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: She said, he had his hands firmly on the steering wheel.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: They ran up to his vehicle shooting. He still stayed
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: there in his vehicle with his hands on the steering
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: wheel while being shot at. The FBI has now opened
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: a civil rights investigation into the shooting of Andrew Brown Junior.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: This just was Yeah, he really was the right word
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: when they said that you're at But what's the audio.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: We heard the audio, Well, it was twenty second snippet
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: of the body cam footage from what happened. But the
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: family they deserve to see it all day. Because I've
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: been over here, I haven't seen this story. Yeah, he
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: was in his driveway with his hands on the steering
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: wheel and they ran up to him shooting. Yeah, and
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: we don't know he had warrants. Uh, they came to
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: serve a warrant, he had warrants. But is that a
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: reason to execute this man? No? Well, yeah, yeah, here
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: we go again. Here we go again. And the family
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: has been asking and asking and asking in that part
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: of North Carolina, North Carolina. There they don't have to
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: release the tape, and if they do, they have to
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: do it by core order. Steve, But what's the purpose
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: of recording If we can't see it, then what's the
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: purpose of the well, Elizabeth State, North Carolina. Well, I
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: think one reason is because they don't want to release it,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: so it can kind of um kind of take the
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: jury for before they release all the information to the public.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: But the family are not They're not gonna be on
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: the jury. They deserve to see what happened to their
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: loved one. Well, the other reason they're not showing it
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: is that it's just so they can get their story together.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: That's the main reason, and that I think, just to
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: buy time to get your story right. Yeah. Some of
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: those officers have quit, I think one retired and then
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: about seven of them are so are un administrative leave.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Why are so many of them out there? Exactly so
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: there's so many questions in this particular story. It's just
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: sickening to me. This one really is, I mean, like
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: all the rest of them. But yeah, God, I've been
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: crumping Bacari sellers. They're on the case. All right, we'll
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: be back with our last break of the day and
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: for some closing remarks for the one and only from
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: the one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: after right after this, you're listening, all right, guys. Here
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: we are last break of the day and time for
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: Steve Harvey's closing remarks. Um, what's on your mind? Steve?
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: I don't know. You know, it's so much going on
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: back home. I can't keep up with it because I'm working.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: The time frame says, not the same TV station. You
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: can get cn in sometimes a lot of times you can.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: But you know what, I had a discussion aution for
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: YouTube when you finish, Yeah, I had. I had a
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: discussion on a commercial break with some young people from
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: South Africa and she was saying, how could we build
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: a bond, a better bond with American blacks and US
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: as Africans. And then she was talking about because America
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: is so much more advanced, and I had to stop
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: her for a second because I've spent a great deal
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: of time in both places. America has some advancements. But
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I wanted to make her feel better about herself, and
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: I thought. I told her, I said, you know all
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: that we are in America, we got from you, our ancestors,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: our African heritage. You know what's created as cool in
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: this country. And I'm not saying this to be racist.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I want everybody to hear and understand my heart with this.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: This is a fact. Atmost, everything that is determined what
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: is cool in this country is determined by Black people.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: Every new dance that comes out, it's determined by young
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: black people. The latest fashions for streetwear and all of that,
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: what we do out on the streets, that's determined by
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: black people. That's all the time. We are always in
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: the forefront. How we where our hair is determined by
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: black people. What is called swag is determined by young
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: black people. What is dripped is determined by young black people.
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: And I wanted this young girl in African to know,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: and I asked her, where do you think we get
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: this from? We get this from y'all. The rhythm to beat.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: The soul that we have, that's because of our African heritage.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: The way we dress in reggae, and the and the
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: need to look fly in the way we are doing ourselves,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: that's because we are Africans. We got our new hairstyles
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: over here. You know how jay Z got his hair. Now,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: African's been doing that. You see people calling rolling and
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: all like that. African's been doing that. It's our culture.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: The way we danced, Africans been doing that. You should
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: see some of these young dance troops over here. It
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: is amazing how they are. The athleticism that we have,
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: it's because we got it from our own people, from
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: the African culture. And so I wanted to make her
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: and she that audience gave me a standing ovation. Not
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: a lot of people here, that's twelve people, but they
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: still have been top clapping because they said, man, we
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: had never looked at it that way, but you have
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: to look at it that way. And this continent is rich, y'all.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: It's rich with our culture, it's rich with resources. I
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: want every person to put it on their bucket list
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: to go to Africa. It's I'm telling you it just
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: be so well worth it. All of the myths you
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: have will be destroyed. This is a place, man, and
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: they welcome you with open arms over here. They love
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: the connection. They love it. When I say I'm home,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: thank you for loving me and for allowing me to
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: come home. I'm just pushing it really tough, man. I thought,
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: I want everybody to come over here. Come to Botswana,
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: go to Ghana, go to the Congo, go to the Okravine,
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: good delta, you know, just go and see this continent
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: that we are from. And when you see these people,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: you're gonna think they from Detroit. You're gonna think they're
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: from Atlanta. You're gonna thank you saw me in Charlotte somewhere.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: You're gonna swabbing down you saw him in DC. Up
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: at wh you are you gonna swab up? Folk? Go
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: and you know, it's just like that. Man. It's so crazy. Man.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: But I'm so proud to be African American. I'm so
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: proud and has been a great part of my life
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: right now in a great relief to connect with the
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: continent of Africa. It's been one of the most rewarding
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: things I've done. And I can't express upon you all
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: enough to get yourself over him, save your money and
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: come over here. Okay, you're making me want to go
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: for sure. Really where was your question, Carla? Well, that
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: was kind of it. I was saying that. Yeah, it
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: was kind of being that you're in Africa and everything.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: What's been going on here, you know, to come back
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: home and police brutality, social injustice and and and don't
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: get me wrong, you know this this is our country.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: This is home, right, But how are you feeling? You know,
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: you're we lift through you sometimes you know what you're doing.
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: And where the money? Shots? Where the money? Here's the
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: thing I was joking. We're saying to the audience the
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: other day. I said, we're still dealing with the way
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: the police treat us. We're still dealing with some systemic racism. Yeah,
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: I say, I'd rather the way I drive over here,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: stop me, let me give you a couple hundred, let
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: me go. I would rather do that than stop and
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: get shot. Ye. Not stop when you get stopped by
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: the police over here, It ain't causing your color. We
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: are all the same color. It's because you violated the
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: traffic law. That's it. And you don't have to die
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: for it. Man. They ain't shooting no K only for it.
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: People like this, so you said, mixed, biged reviews. I'll
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: be headed home tomorrow, so I'll see y'all in a
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: couple of days. All right, y'all, be good talk from y'all.
