- 0:06Speaker 1: I will probably always until they become reasonable. I'll lose
- 0:10Speaker 1: a you instead of a It's very simple. It's a
- 0:12Speaker 1: very simple change. I take you out the eat and
- 0:14Speaker 1: I put into you and the Democrats because their policies

- 0:22Speaker 3: Good Friday morning. Nice to have you with us on
- 0:24Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update. We've got one big story
- 0:27Speaker 3: and it's a deep dive and to a guy by
- 0:30Speaker 3: the name of James Tallarico. He is becoming the face
- 0:33Speaker 3: of the Democratic Party in the midterm elections, running for
- 0:36Speaker 3: office for Senate in Texas. So how dangerous is James
- 0:41Speaker 3: Tallarico and what are the Democrats pushing. We've got all
- 0:44Speaker 3: the details for you now. Before we get into that,
- 0:47Speaker 3: I want to talk to you about Compassion International. I
- 0:50Speaker 3: want you to pause what you're doing for just one minute,
- 0:53Speaker 3: and I want you to hear about Alejandra. She lives
- 0:56Speaker 3: in a remote community with very few resources and little
- 1:00Speaker 3: to no healthcare. So when Alejandra gets sick. Her parents
- 1:04Speaker 3: have no real options, no doctors in their community, and
- 1:08Speaker 3: no money for real medical care. By the third day,
- 1:12Speaker 3: her body was shutting down. She woke up and just
- 1:15Speaker 3: long enough to tell her mom, I can't take the
- 1:19Speaker 3: pain anymore. I can't keep going. Her parents drove hours
- 1:24Speaker 3: to find a doctor who tried everything, but she needed
- 1:27Speaker 3: a private hospital and that was impossible for her family
- 1:31Speaker 3: to afford. And that is when Compassion International stepped in.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Now through Compassion, Alejandra was treated and against all odds,
- 1:41Speaker 3: she survived. She lived because someone just like you took action.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Right now, Unfortunately, there are children just like Alejandra who
- 1:50Speaker 3: won't survive unless someone like you steps in. Compassion International
- 1:55Speaker 3: partners with local churches, providing children with the support that
- 1:59Speaker 3: they need, critical medical care, plus food, education and the
- 2:05Speaker 3: hope of the gospel, all in Jesus's name. So help
- 2:09Speaker 3: a child just like Alejandra. Today you can visit Compassion
- 2:14Speaker 3: dot com. That's Compassion dot com. It's the forty seven
- 2:19Speaker 3: Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I want to introduce you to James tall Rico. Now,
- 2:26Speaker 3: James tall Rico is a guy that wants you to
- 2:29Speaker 3: believe that he is a faith based Christian pastor Texas moderate.
- 2:36Speaker 3: All right, this is not who he actually is, and
- 2:39Speaker 3: you need to know exactly what his record shows, and
- 2:42Speaker 3: it's something very different. In fact, he is a hardcore
- 2:46Speaker 3: radical progressive activist who actually uses Christianity as a vehicle
- 2:52Speaker 3: for his left wing politics. And he's so extreme he's
- 2:56Speaker 3: not even a moderate in California, much less Texas. Now.
- 3:00Speaker 3: It's campaign site says he's a quote Presbyterian seminarian and
- 3:05Speaker 3: that his faith leads him to quote reject Christian nationalism
- 3:10Speaker 3: while supporting a democracy that protects people regardless of religion, race, gender,
- 3:16Speaker 3: sexual orientation, and other offenses. Now, I got that from
- 3:20Speaker 3: Tall Rico for Texas. So if you don't like what
- 3:24Speaker 3: I just read for you, go read it there. You
- 3:25Speaker 3: don't believe me, go read it there yourself. Now, let
- 3:29Speaker 3: me just introduce you to some of the crazy things
- 3:31Speaker 3: that he's actually said, and we're going to start at
- 3:33Speaker 3: the top of the list for me, and that is well,
- 3:36Speaker 3: this one really is number one. The guy who claims
- 3:39Speaker 3: he's like this pastor said, and I'm quoting, God is
- 3:44Speaker 3: non binary. Yeah, Tall Rico, the Democratic candidate in Texas
- 3:48Speaker 3: for the Senate said, in my faith, God is non binary.
- 3:52Speaker 3: He said it during debates over a Texas bill that
- 3:55Speaker 3: required student athletes to compete according to biological set. That
- 4:01Speaker 3: is now one of the most controversial statements of his career,
- 4:04Speaker 3: as it's being reported by The New York Post. God
- 4:07Speaker 3: is non binary because he wants to trans your kids.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Number two, he actually argued that there are more than
- 4:16Speaker 3: two biological sexes. Tall Rico said, quote, modern science obviously
- 4:23Speaker 3: recognizes that there are many more than two biological sexes, adding,
- 4:28Speaker 3: in fact, there are six. He tied that argument to
- 4:33Speaker 3: rare chromosonial variations and said sex can be quote unquote
- 4:38Speaker 3: a spectrum. So this dude does not believe in XOI
- 4:42Speaker 3: chromosome chromosomes at all, Like he believes it like you
- 4:45Speaker 3: can just make it up and be whatever you want
- 4:46Speaker 3: to be.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Uh.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Then later he tried to clean it up. When he
- 4:51Speaker 3: was confronted on CBS, tall Rico said, I know there
- 4:54Speaker 3: are two sexes and admitted some of his past comments
- 4:58Speaker 3: quote unquote missed the Now why is he saying that now? Well,
- 5:02Speaker 3: because they're trying to make him a moderate to appeal
- 5:05Speaker 3: to more voters in Texas. He also pushed very hard
- 5:10Speaker 3: on transgender politics, and that's where many of his campaign
- 5:14Speaker 3: contributions are coming from, that transgendered LGBTQI plus plus plus community.
- 5:20Speaker 3: And you can highlight this from a twenty twenty one
- 5:23Speaker 3: post saying and that his Texas House office added pronouns
- 5:29Speaker 3: to the staff business cards as what he said was
- 5:32Speaker 3: a quote small way to tell trans Texans you are
- 5:36Speaker 3: welcome here. Now this is not a joke. So if
- 5:37Speaker 3: you work for tall Rico and you had a business
- 5:40Speaker 3: card and you're in the state legislature, they put your
- 5:42Speaker 3: pronouns on there because he wanted to again say that
- 5:47Speaker 3: trans Texans, you're welcome here. He also does something which
- 5:53Speaker 3: I refer to as blasphemy. Tall Rico loves to remind
- 5:57Speaker 3: you that he's a guy that went seminary. He loves
- 6:00Speaker 3: reminds you that he is a elitist in his faith
- 6:03Speaker 3: above you and what you would actually know. And he
- 6:06Speaker 3: uses the Bible to defend progressive abortion politics. As just
- 6:11Speaker 3: one example. Reporting on his past comments, tall Rico has
- 6:15Speaker 3: suggested the Bible in fact affirms abortion access. Let me
- 6:20Speaker 3: say that again. He says the Bible supports an affirms
- 6:23Speaker 3: abortion access, and has argued for reproductive rights using religious language. Yeah,
- 6:30Speaker 3: so he believes the Bible now says that abortion is
- 6:35Speaker 3: appropriate and that you should use it, and that it's
- 6:38Speaker 3: okay and that it's protected in the Bible. Now you
- 6:42Speaker 3: may say, okay, this guy sounds pretty extreme. Well he is,
- 6:45Speaker 3: but let me also explain to you what he thinks
- 6:48Speaker 3: about his own religion. This just broke a few hours
- 6:51Speaker 3: ago an audio recording of James tall Rico talking about
- 6:56Speaker 3: his Christian faith. And listen to what he says in
- 6:59Speaker 3: his own words.
- 7:01Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's you know, I always think of myself
- 7:04Speaker 4: as a Christian who hates Christianity up right, and like
- 7:08Speaker 4: I always get always get drop back into it.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, hold on, let's let's let's
- 7:13Speaker 3: let's just rewind that. And I want to make sure
- 7:16Speaker 3: you understand there was no editing done there. This is raw.
- 7:20Speaker 3: This is a man that went seminary that once you
- 7:22Speaker 3: believe is a passive preachers in churches that says that
- 7:24Speaker 3: the Bible said it's okay for you to have an abortion,
- 7:27Speaker 3: and it's advocating for it, and it's okay to trains
- 7:29Speaker 3: your kid, and the Bible is non binary, and that
- 7:32Speaker 3: there's there's six genders, and that God is non binary,
- 7:36Speaker 3: and all of that comes down to again what he
- 7:39Speaker 3: says about his own Christianity.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's you know, I always think of myself
- 7:44Speaker 4: as a Christian who hates Christianity, up right, and like
- 7:48Speaker 4: I always get always get drop back into it.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Okay, so he gets re drawn back into it because
- 7:55Speaker 3: I always sing of myself as a Christian who hates Christianity.
- 7:58Speaker 3: By the way, if you look at what he said,
- 8:00Speaker 3: I think we already knew this, but it is convenient
- 8:03Speaker 3: to hear him actually say it out loud and actually
- 8:05Speaker 3: admit it. By the way, that audio I'm going to
- 8:08Speaker 3: repost right now on x you can follow me at
- 8:11Speaker 3: Ben Ferguson's show, and you can share that everywhere in
- 8:15Speaker 3: the world. So please do that. Now let's move on
- 8:19Speaker 3: from there. He also then says, reporting on his past comments,
- 8:23Speaker 3: Talarico suggested the Bible not only a firms abortion access
- 8:27Speaker 3: and has argued for reproductive rights using religious language, as
- 8:30Speaker 3: I mentioned a moment ago. But then he goes on
- 8:32Speaker 3: to say that quote unquote, poverty is violence. Yes, pollution
- 8:38Speaker 3: is violence, and yes prison is violence. He also said
- 8:42Speaker 3: people don't belong in cages, a line critics say sounds
- 8:47Speaker 3: a lot like, you know, being soft on crime, right,
- 8:49Speaker 3: because he believes that you don't put someone in jail.
- 8:53Speaker 3: It's a guy that is anti police, bail reform, prison reform.
- 8:57Speaker 3: He doesn't believe that if you commit heinous crime, you
- 8:59Speaker 3: should be behind ball arts. Now, all of this is
- 9:02Speaker 3: inspired by his radical theology. Tall Rico has actually praised
- 9:09Speaker 3: an individual described as a trans queer Latin X theologian,
- 9:15Speaker 3: saying that the Henderson Espinosa his work challenged his worldview
- 9:23Speaker 3: as a CIS white male. I'm just gonna let that
- 9:27Speaker 3: marinate for a second. So he praises Roberto Henderson Espinosa.
- 9:32Speaker 3: He describes his spiritual I guess mentor leader, whatever you
- 9:37Speaker 3: want to call it, as a transque Latin X theologian,
- 9:42Speaker 3: and he says the man's work challenges worldview as a
- 9:45Speaker 3: CIS white male. Now, James call Rico, he wants Texas
- 9:50Speaker 3: voters to see a quote moderate Christian democrat, but the
- 9:54Speaker 3: record shows him saying God is non binary, that there
- 9:57Speaker 3: are six biological sexes, that there are pronouns that must
- 10:01Speaker 3: be on your business card in politics, especially that abortion
- 10:04Speaker 3: theology is in the Bible that we shouldn't put human
- 10:08Speaker 3: beings behind bars in cages. So let out all the
- 10:11Speaker 3: prisoners and all the rapists and murderers and drug sellers,
- 10:16Speaker 3: the fetanyl dealers that kill your kids. No, no, we don't
- 10:19Speaker 3: put them in jail. And on top of that, you
- 10:21Speaker 3: got to have radical social justice language in everything. There
- 10:25Speaker 3: is nothing moderate about James tall Rico. This is a
- 10:29Speaker 3: progressive seminary individual who then was put on a direct
- 10:35Speaker 3: pipeline to power as a wolf in sheep's clothes, directly
- 10:42Speaker 3: to the Senate pipeline for the radical left. This is
- 10:46Speaker 3: packaging an AOC, packaging a Mundani, packaging, a newsome to
- 10:53Speaker 3: try to turn a conservative state into one of the
- 10:56Speaker 3: most radical states in America by doing what I just
- 10:59Speaker 3: said about James Talerico. Now you've got to ask yourself
- 11:02Speaker 3: this question, why is it that a lot of what
- 11:05Speaker 3: I just said, especially if you're not really diving into
- 11:08Speaker 3: this stuff on social media? Why is it that the
- 11:11Speaker 3: media isn't covering this, Like the number of people that
- 11:15Speaker 3: are not covering what he said about his faith Christianity,
- 11:18Speaker 3: Like this is so extreme, it's not mainstream at all. Okay,
- 11:21Speaker 3: I want to play it one more time, because it's
- 11:23Speaker 3: a really important point. If you are claiming your christian
- 11:26Speaker 3: this is what you believe about your Christianity. How is
- 11:28Speaker 3: this not a leading headline news story in America today?
- 11:33Speaker 4: You know, I always think of myself as a Christian
- 11:35Speaker 4: who hates Christianity up right, and like I always get
- 11:39Speaker 4: always get drumped back into it.
- 11:42Speaker 3: By the way, why would you be a Christian that
- 11:44Speaker 3: hates Christianity? Is it because you actually hate what Christianity teaches? Right?
- 11:49Speaker 3: I mean you're self describing yourself. In an interview with
- 11:52Speaker 3: a self described transqueer activist theologian, tall Rico says he
- 11:56Speaker 3: hates Christianity that is not mainstream, that is not normal.
- 12:01Speaker 3: I also think it's interesting and if you go back
- 12:03Speaker 3: to the war on whiteness, I think that's a good
- 12:06Speaker 3: way of putting it. James Tallerico claims his identity as
- 12:09Speaker 3: a white man limits what's possible and then blames it
- 12:13Speaker 3: on his sis, I the identity. Listen carefully, this is
- 12:18Speaker 3: again James and his own.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Words started following me on Twitter. I you know, couldn't
- 12:24Speaker 4: contain my uh my inner fan boy, because I have
- 12:29Speaker 4: read your book last year and it continues to inspire me,
- 12:33Speaker 4: and y'all's work continues to inspire me. I told you
- 12:35Speaker 4: I was boring straight Sis white man, and then I
- 12:37Speaker 4: added Presbyterian to spice it up. My imagination is also
- 12:41Speaker 4: just limited by my own my own background and identity, right,
- 12:45Speaker 4: my own my whiteness, my masculinity, all those things limited
- 12:48Speaker 4: my imagination about what's possible. And that's where you know,
- 12:52Speaker 4: doctor Robber, your book helps me do that. I always think.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Of myself wow, well wow, Like all I can say
- 12:59Speaker 3: on this is wow. He goes on to then say,
- 13:02Speaker 3: after that the part about I always think of myself
- 13:05Speaker 3: as a Christian who hates Christianity, and I always get
- 13:07Speaker 3: drawn back into it. This clearly, to me, seems like
- 13:13Speaker 3: this is an individual that truly hates not only Christianity,
- 13:18Speaker 3: but hates his country. Right. I mean, this is the
- 13:22Speaker 3: guy who says he hates Christians, he hates Christianity, right
- 13:26Speaker 3: and and and I and and apparently he reads a
- 13:30Speaker 3: very different, very different Bible. Let me also remind you
- 13:35Speaker 3: what the Senate Democrats had to say about this guy.
- 13:38Speaker 3: They put this out. He was sitting there with James
- 13:40Speaker 3: Carvel and some other whack job and and and I
- 13:43Speaker 3: want to hear what James tall Rico says in this interview.
- 13:47Speaker 5: And that oplies to Muslims and Hindus. Listen, I have
- 13:51Speaker 5: this is you know, they can learn a lot of
- 13:53Speaker 5: things I U.
- 13:54Speaker 4: I have met.
- 13:55Speaker 5: I have met so many Hindus, Buddhists, seek Jews, most
- 14:00Speaker 5: Lung's atheist agnostics who are more christ Like than some
- 14:03Speaker 5: of the Christians I serve with in the text of legislature.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Wow, that is how much sustain this dude has for Christians.
