- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will. Good morning everybody. You are listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now, one and only.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah, man, Steve Harvey
- 2:13Speaker 1: got a radio show. Trying to do something with it too, man.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Uh you know, um, I was having a conversation the
- 2:20Speaker 1: other day with a young person and they were telling
- 2:25Speaker 1: me how they felt that their life was stuck, that
- 2:28Speaker 1: their life was in a rut, that they didn't know
- 2:33Speaker 1: what to do next. And one of the things that
- 2:36Speaker 1: was causing them this sadness or this depression. I mean,
- 2:40Speaker 1: they really really into something right now. One of the
- 2:43Speaker 1: things that was causing it was the fact that they
- 2:47Speaker 1: had made a list of things they wanted to accomplish
- 2:52Speaker 1: by a certain age, and that age they just had
- 2:58Speaker 1: a birthday recently and they were looking at the list
- 3:04Speaker 1: and the list hadn't been fulfilled, and because that list
- 3:09Speaker 1: hadn't been fulfilled, they were really really sad about it,
- 3:16Speaker 1: you know. Um One of the things that they had
- 3:19Speaker 1: on the list was marriage, kids, And I don't know
- 3:25Speaker 1: everything else that was on the list, but that was
- 3:27Speaker 1: one of them. And because she had reached a certain
- 3:30Speaker 1: age and she wasn't married, and she didn't have the kids,
- 3:34Speaker 1: and she had just celebrated her birthday, she's gone into
- 3:38Speaker 1: this mode of sadness, whereas really really taking a toll
- 3:44Speaker 1: on her and us. As I was learning about her situation,
- 3:51Speaker 1: I was thinking about it, and I just wanted to
- 3:54Speaker 1: share this with you all this morning that one of
- 3:57Speaker 1: the things about making a list about what you want,
- 4:00Speaker 1: which I happen to be a proponent of, I do
- 4:03Speaker 1: it myself. I have people have dream boards, I have
- 4:07Speaker 1: a gold sheet I have. I've been doing it for years.
- 4:10Speaker 1: It's a it's a wonderful way to set goals and
- 4:13Speaker 1: to keep it in front of you as a constant reminder.
- 4:16Speaker 1: And I always go over this goal list every day,
- 4:19Speaker 1: you know, I mean I go of it all the time,
- 4:22Speaker 1: every day. Sometimes I miss a day here and there,
- 4:24Speaker 1: but mostly every day I pulled my gold sheet out
- 4:28Speaker 1: and I look at it, I read it. So I
- 4:30Speaker 1: was going to these rallies and I was learning about,
- 4:33Speaker 1: you know, people who were successful in how they kept
- 4:36Speaker 1: their mind writing positive. And one of the things I
- 4:38Speaker 1: learned was to make these dream boards, these lists, these
- 4:41Speaker 1: gold sheets. And in making a gold sheet, and you
- 4:46Speaker 1: make the sheet according to what you want, think about
- 4:51Speaker 1: one thing when you made your gold sheet, about what
- 4:53Speaker 1: you want it? Does your goal sheet have on it
- 4:57Speaker 1: what God wants from you? Did you ask in any
- 5:01Speaker 1: of this what was His will in your life? You know? Look, man,
- 5:06Speaker 1: what we want oftentimes is not what He wants for us.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And you know, if you're fighting against what you were
- 5:14Speaker 1: created for, if you're fighting against his will, I mean,
- 5:19Speaker 1: what do you want to happen? See? Don't be so
- 5:22Speaker 1: hard on yourself when you look at your goal sheet
- 5:25Speaker 1: and you look at what you've not become what you
- 5:28Speaker 1: thought was a great idea. Don't be so hard on
- 5:30Speaker 1: yourself because you just made a minded mistake. As do
- 5:33Speaker 1: most people, we oftentimes make our goals and set our
- 5:36Speaker 1: goals up without ever considering what is it that God
- 5:40Speaker 1: wants from us. We keep talking about what we want
- 5:43Speaker 1: without ever finding out and knowing what it is God
- 5:46Speaker 1: wants for us. Well, guess what, man, Maybe you're fighting
- 5:49Speaker 1: against the grain. Maybe you're just a salmon heading upstream.
- 5:53Speaker 1: That's a tough fight upstream. Not all salmons get up
- 5:56Speaker 1: to the spawning grounds, you know. Some of them don't
- 5:58Speaker 1: make it upstream, you know. But all of them, nearly
- 6:01Speaker 1: all of them, except the ones that's killed by pray.
- 6:04Speaker 1: When they're spawned, they go out to the ocean. That's cool,
- 6:06Speaker 1: because you're going because you're going with the grain. You're
- 6:09Speaker 1: going downstream, you're going with the flow. That's but when
- 6:13Speaker 1: it's time to go against the grain, it's tough. And
- 6:16Speaker 1: a lot of us have just been going against the
- 6:18Speaker 1: grain for all of these years. But you know what, listen, man,
- 6:22Speaker 1: I did it. I know a lot of people who
- 6:24Speaker 1: did it. Very few people get it right from the
- 6:28Speaker 1: very beginning. Man, you got to stumble through life sometimes
- 6:31Speaker 1: sometimes you got to fall through life. You gotta make
- 6:34Speaker 1: a lot of mistakes, man, But these mistakes are not failures.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You know, when you fail at something, don't look at
- 6:40Speaker 1: it as a failure. Don't look at yourself as a
- 6:42Speaker 1: failure because you're thirty and and your goals ain't reach
- 6:45Speaker 1: that you had on your list, that was your list.
- 6:48Speaker 1: What about the things that's going right. Stop looking at
- 6:52Speaker 1: what you're not, take some time out and thank God
- 6:55Speaker 1: for what you are. How about the fact that you
- 6:57Speaker 1: keep waking up to be thirty. You know you get
- 6:59Speaker 1: depressed about these birthdays. You really want to throw yourself
- 7:02Speaker 1: in some depression. Miss a birthday, You really got a problem.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Now look at where you are. You keep reaching birthdays.
- 7:10Speaker 1: That's a glorious blessing. You keep waking up. You got
- 7:13Speaker 1: your health, You've accomplished something. Something on your list is done.
- 7:17Speaker 1: People spend too much time on the negative side, and
- 7:20Speaker 1: you're just throwing yourself into depression. So what you want
- 7:23Speaker 1: to be married by a certain age and you want
- 7:25Speaker 1: it to have kids? Okay, cool, You could have done
- 7:27Speaker 1: all that with the wrong person. There's a blessing in
- 7:31Speaker 1: not being married to the wrong person. There's a blessing
- 7:34Speaker 1: in not having kids and nobody to help you raise it.
- 7:36Speaker 1: There's a blessing in that man. You're talking to somebody
- 7:39Speaker 1: who can tell it to you. You can marry the
- 7:41Speaker 1: wrong person if you want to I'm telling you you're
- 7:44Speaker 1: gonna be up in some mess you can't count on.
- 7:46Speaker 1: So instead of being angry because you're not married, you
- 7:50Speaker 1: don't have kids, why don't you thank God demand Maybe
- 7:52Speaker 1: he spared you from some misery here. Maybe you could
- 7:55Speaker 1: have married the wrong person. Maybe you have kids and
- 7:57Speaker 1: you're not really ready to be a mother or a father.
- 8:00Speaker 1: You gotta look at the upside, man, Quit looking at
- 8:02Speaker 1: what you don't have. Take some time to thank God
- 8:05Speaker 1: for what you do have. When you do that, you
- 8:08Speaker 1: make more room for blessings to flow into your life.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I'm not saying how God thinks, because I really don't know,
- 8:14Speaker 1: but I'm telling you, if a person comes to me
- 8:18Speaker 1: and I always give a person something and they never
- 8:21Speaker 1: appear grateful, or they never say thank you, please, no,
- 8:24Speaker 1: you can quit coming to me now. I don't know
- 8:28Speaker 1: that's how God works because I've gone back to him
- 8:31Speaker 1: several times without being grateful of thanking him, and he's
- 8:34Speaker 1: feeling my basket up again. So I really think he's
- 8:38Speaker 1: not like that. But I can't make the call for sure,
- 8:41Speaker 1: but I think at one point in time, me, just
- 8:45Speaker 1: just me talking, i'd be a little ticked off at
- 8:47Speaker 1: somebody who was always taken, taking, taking, and never showing
- 8:51Speaker 1: any gratitude. At one point in time, I would just
- 8:54Speaker 1: stop the flow of the take. You know, you just
- 8:57Speaker 1: you can't take no more from me. That's what I
- 8:59Speaker 1: would do. Now. I'm not calling it like that because
- 9:02Speaker 1: I ain't him, but I know he's merciful. He's full
- 9:05Speaker 1: of goodness and here and there, and he'll forgive you again.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And thank God he does that because he's shown enough
- 9:10Speaker 1: done it for me. But wow, man, take some time
- 9:13Speaker 1: out today and be grateful for what you have. Stop
- 9:15Speaker 1: complaining about where you're not, and think about where you are,
- 9:19Speaker 1: and then take it from there. And then next time
- 9:21Speaker 1: you make a list, make sure on that list you
- 9:24Speaker 1: have God's will. What does he want for you? God
- 9:27Speaker 1: create give everybody a gift and a talent. Some of
- 9:30Speaker 1: us never apply gifts and talents. We head off in
- 9:33Speaker 1: another direction. Then you wonder why your life ain't where
- 9:36Speaker 1: its supposed to be. Have you ever thought about what
- 9:38Speaker 1: God gifted you to do? Have you ever thought about
- 9:41Speaker 1: doing that? And stip? Skip what you want? I wanted
- 9:43Speaker 1: to play in the NBA, but I gotta tell you
- 9:45Speaker 1: something at dribbling and shooting and running all at one time,
- 9:50Speaker 1: throwing me off a little bit. You know. It's so
- 9:53Speaker 1: I'm doing what I do. It's pretty cool. You can
- 9:55Speaker 1: look at it that way. Okay, you're listening show, ladies, gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: boys and girls. This to Steve Harvey Morning Show. This
- 10:10Speaker 1: is radio unlike any other. This is not planned, rehearsed,
- 10:20Speaker 1: and oftentimes not even want it. This real radio. What
- 10:26Speaker 1: y'all doing today? So Shirley, Hey Steve, how are you?
- 10:36Speaker 1: I'm pretty good calling good morning? Was up through so
- 10:40Speaker 1: up junior morning up food? Was happy with you after
- 10:44Speaker 1: the morning after. What you've bought lately? Let me hear
- 10:48Speaker 1: something nothing really really well and nothing really junior body
- 10:56Speaker 1: thing lately? Ah? Yeah, uncle, I bought a few suits
- 11:01Speaker 1: you yeah, it went up. Used to be one I'm
- 11:05Speaker 1: in then give me that one and that one love
- 11:07Speaker 1: it yeah too? Yeah, yeah, at one for Friday and
- 11:13Speaker 1: saying come on boy, come up and out. I can't
- 11:19Speaker 1: tell you what I'm trying to get nixt though, what's
- 11:22Speaker 1: that this is going to be interesting to us and
- 11:26Speaker 1: our audience or just yeah this is real? Helicopter yeah
- 11:33Speaker 1: what right? And just landing where I want to land?
- 11:37Speaker 1: You know, skip all the traffic. Okay, let me ask
- 11:39Speaker 1: you a question. Go ahead. How much? How much you
- 11:42Speaker 1: got for this helicopter? Well, that's you know what type
- 11:45Speaker 1: you want? Well, I've been looking. Okay, what's the number
- 11:50Speaker 1: on it? You know? You know numbers on helicopters the
- 11:53Speaker 1: same way you know I'm on on plane? No, okay, no,
- 11:56Speaker 1: I don't. I just know how much was it? Man? Shit?
- 12:00Speaker 1: That two point three? Me? That sounds reasonable, Yeah, that
- 12:06Speaker 1: sounds reasonable. But what I'm trying to figure out is,
- 12:09Speaker 1: come on, come on, boy, come on, say what is
- 12:13Speaker 1: you gonna do with damn near two and a half
- 12:17Speaker 1: million dollar helicopter? Where you going? See? Where you got
- 12:21Speaker 1: to go? Require more than that? Okay, Well let me
- 12:26Speaker 1: ask you this hill Houston, La a helicopter? Boy? You
- 12:30Speaker 1: know what any times you got to land to gas up?
- 12:34Speaker 1: We'll see. That's what I don't know. I don't know
- 12:35Speaker 1: nothing about the gas but it first though, I ain't
- 12:39Speaker 1: bought it. I haven't bought it. But Tommy, where would
- 12:44Speaker 1: you keep the helicopter? Thank you? In my backyard? Just
- 12:49Speaker 1: where my backyard? How you gonna land a helicopter in
- 12:55Speaker 1: your backyard with your wives back there? O? Man? Why
- 13:01Speaker 1: you stay out in the country. Y'all ain't got in
- 13:03Speaker 1: ground cable Ya, stuff is on poles? And why all
- 13:09Speaker 1: that money and all these drones play? Oh so you're
- 13:13Speaker 1: saying that's a problem. Say there's a problem. You just
- 13:18Speaker 1: right there on the h What is this? How here?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Right here? All right? More of this crazy ignorant show.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this you're listening to show?
- 13:41Speaker 1: All right, Thanksgiving? Wow did it come fast this year?
- 13:45Speaker 1: It's here? Yeah, we're all gathering around the Thanksgiving table
- 13:49Speaker 1: dinner conversations. It can be a little tent you know.
- 13:52Speaker 1: So we just want you guys to prepare with some
- 13:55Speaker 1: phrases that you should avoid at holiday dinners so we
- 13:58Speaker 1: can just you know, all have a good time with
- 14:00Speaker 1: our family and friends. Okay, Like for instance, yeah, okay,
- 14:04Speaker 1: for instance, Steve Um, when you start a sentence with
- 14:08Speaker 1: you should have you should have? You know, the words
- 14:12Speaker 1: should you know can make a person feel judged or disappointed.
- 14:18Speaker 1: You see where I'm going with that, Like you should
- 14:21Speaker 1: have left somebody else fit? Yeah, yeah, that's hurtful. Yeah, yeah,
- 14:28Speaker 1: you should have you should have left the marshmallow acting yam,
- 14:30Speaker 1: that's like that. I'm with you. I'm with you on that.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Feelings are not hurt. How about this? I know it's
- 14:40Speaker 1: pot Look, but you should have just came the ain't
- 14:47Speaker 1: no luck in your Yeah, stuff like that, Steve, you
- 14:54Speaker 1: got it? Or you know a boy saying that? Yeah,
- 14:57Speaker 1: avoid saying this, you know, because this is definitely this
- 15:00Speaker 1: could start one right here. Um, can you believe what
- 15:04Speaker 1: your president just did? You can't start yeah, yeah, it
- 15:09Speaker 1: can lead to an argument and a fight. You know, politics.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Everybody in agreement on my family? My family? All good
- 15:15Speaker 1: with that? That's gonna get the party popping right now?
- 15:18Speaker 1: Oh okay, all right, so you're not gonna avoid saying that.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no, you can talk politics at my house.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Everybody at my house in the same political mindset you
- 15:27Speaker 1: don't have. You you are Republican at the table. You
- 15:34Speaker 1: need to keep it to you. You won't be Okay,
- 15:39Speaker 1: let's get back to my daddy's house. Uh huh. Let's
- 15:43Speaker 1: get back to the food for a minute. How about
- 15:45Speaker 1: this one. You know, the best turkey I ever had
- 15:49Speaker 1: was not this again, the best turkey I ever had
- 15:59Speaker 1: was is my mama. You can't say that. Yeah, that'll
- 16:07Speaker 1: set it off, Steve. If you don't have to always
- 16:13Speaker 1: tell the truth though, No, no, no, no, see she
- 16:17Speaker 1: wants again, Well, y'all need to make up, y'all, man,
- 16:21Speaker 1: you all want us to be trumb or you want
- 16:23Speaker 1: these lives? Did we good? We're lying on Thanksgiving? Tell
- 16:26Speaker 1: the truth? It's a good time to ask that question,
- 16:31Speaker 1: any b Yeah, you know, like, uh, if you start
- 16:34Speaker 1: a sentence with when are you going to learn how
- 16:38Speaker 1: to cook? Don't do that. When you're gonna finally let
- 16:45Speaker 1: him go? Okay, that's the one. Yeah, because you don't
- 16:50Speaker 1: want to make anyone feel defensive or put anyone on
- 16:53Speaker 1: the spot or anything like that. When is you gonna
- 16:56Speaker 1: stop using? Druth? Wow? Really? Yeah? What's gonna come out?
- 17:06Speaker 1: I don't know why we set like it ain't I
- 17:08Speaker 1: don't know what's wrong with you. I want to go
- 17:10Speaker 1: to your house, but just come out in fifteen minutes.
- 17:14Speaker 1: You ain't gona be able to take you're lying it
- 17:16Speaker 1: fifteen If it starts off with that, yeah, I believe you.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Was he walking the dope? When is you gonna stop using?
- 17:24Speaker 1: You show up? Ever? You're looking like this? How about
- 17:30Speaker 1: this right here? How about this right here? Say some
- 17:34Speaker 1: woy where I could see where you going, where you going? Yeah,
- 17:40Speaker 1: bathroom ain't that way? Ain't no bathroom that way? And
- 17:46Speaker 1: you know, trying not to open up a conversation or
- 17:49Speaker 1: start a sentence with when are you going too? Don't
- 17:53Speaker 1: do that one, or remember the time you No, Yeah,
- 18:00Speaker 1: that's cool. My uncle Everett Thanksgiving used to go he
- 18:07Speaker 1: was drunk, yellow bowl. Ain't nobody won't I did bust
- 18:17Speaker 1: out laughing, everybody laughing. But wait a minute, Wait a minute,
- 18:22Speaker 1: hold up, did you hear about don't start it with
- 18:25Speaker 1: that one, because that can mean yeah, you're gossiping about
- 18:28Speaker 1: you know, somebody, your husband. What what did you hear
- 18:34Speaker 1: about your husband? Oh, that's gonna get it started right
- 18:37Speaker 1: there in the back room with coral Cora, not Cora coral. Yeah,
- 18:44Speaker 1: those are just conversation starters. You don't do that. Yeah,
- 18:48Speaker 1: Oh that's gonna happen Thanksgiving Thursday. Trust me, it's gonna happen. Well,
- 18:52Speaker 1: I'll admit this. None of that happens at my house
- 18:55Speaker 1: because I have no one at my house on Thanksgiving.
- 18:59Speaker 1: As big as you create, nobody created no drama, not
- 19:03Speaker 1: at mine house. Oh oh okay, I thought you were
- 19:05Speaker 1: saying you had no one at your house. I was like,
- 19:07Speaker 1: as big as your family is. Oh, the house gonna
- 19:10Speaker 1: be packed. Yeah. I don't do druma yeah not at
- 19:13Speaker 1: the house. Everybody know. Don't ask me to play. I
- 19:16Speaker 1: don't do that. You know, the game night, I might
- 19:18Speaker 1: come in there for a couple of minutes, but that's it.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Y'all know what I'm doing. I'm gonna eat and I'm
- 19:23Speaker 1: sitting in front of this TV. I'm staring at it.
- 19:26Speaker 1: And sometimes you're gonna come in there and the TV
- 19:29Speaker 1: gonna be staying at me. Just walk back out, don't
- 19:33Speaker 1: come in here. Just in the heat. I want it.
- 19:35Speaker 1: This won't keep beeping, the five places on, don't cut
- 19:39Speaker 1: it off, so you don't mind them being in your house.
- 19:41Speaker 1: A lot of people just don't bother you. Let you
- 19:44Speaker 1: have your space. You don't know why. Yeah both. Marjorie's
- 19:48Speaker 1: really good at that too, because she tells them to
- 19:51Speaker 1: Steve that Steve, all don't bring your friends and your
- 19:54Speaker 1: friends won't pictures. Oh yeah, I could get that. Yeah,
- 19:59Speaker 1: I that ain't happen. Meanwhile, at our house, all they
- 20:03Speaker 1: want to talk about is you. Yes, Steve, come on. Yeah.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I just hate when they want me to tell Steve
- 20:12Speaker 1: something for him. Always tell him give them. Can you
- 20:17Speaker 1: just give this to Steve for me? I know this
- 20:20Speaker 1: a best seller, right, we just get it to Steve.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Didn't I'm not going to get your book the one
- 20:25Speaker 1: kill me? Okay, I got this book of mine. I
- 20:29Speaker 1: want you to read. I didn't read the foe I wrote.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Ain't coming up up next? It's the nephew with run
- 20:37Speaker 1: that prank back. You're listening morning show. It is the
- 20:44Speaker 1: nephew with today's prank. Phone. Call what you got next?
- 20:48Speaker 1: Call him? Yes, we don't need your mama dressing? Whoa
- 20:52Speaker 1: my god? Oh tell me no, Mama, you know we
- 21:04Speaker 1: don't need ben. We don't need your mama starting a
- 21:10Speaker 1: fight right there? Yes, I actually want to run it
- 21:14Speaker 1: all right? Come on? Hello? Hello? Who is this Miss Clinton?
- 21:19Speaker 1: Who is this this Benjy? I'm colleague? Is miss Purvis there? Um?
- 21:24Speaker 1: You know she's not here right now? But this is
- 21:25Speaker 1: our daughter? Um? Is there a problem? Oh? No, this
- 21:29Speaker 1: this this Benjy. This Mama, Mama Lord's nephew. Who is
- 21:33Speaker 1: this again? This is Glendam Mama, Lord, Mama Lord jo
- 21:39Speaker 1: ain't it? Ain't it correct? You? Mama Lord's and Miss Perosis? Okay,
- 21:43Speaker 1: I'm being you. I'm I'm her nephew from the other
- 21:46Speaker 1: side of the family. You say your name? Whatno blend? Okay,
- 21:49Speaker 1: we'll tell y'all supposed to get in. We used to
- 21:51Speaker 1: meet there by the afternoon. Okay. Uh is miss Purvis
- 21:56Speaker 1: is she is your mama making the dresses? Yeah? She's
- 21:59Speaker 1: making enough for about forty five people. We actually, um,
- 22:03Speaker 1: this was discussed about a month ago, right y'all on
- 22:05Speaker 1: the y'all they had the U conference call, the conference
- 22:09Speaker 1: good family had the conference call, right, yes, sir? Okay, Nah, listen,
- 22:14Speaker 1: what reason why they got me to call? They wanted
- 22:17Speaker 1: me to go in and call and and I was
- 22:19Speaker 1: trying to give me this pervioce. She's not there. You know,
- 22:22Speaker 1: she's not here. What's wrong? Uh? Okay, they're not gonna
- 22:26Speaker 1: They're not gonna need her to do them to do
- 22:28Speaker 1: the dressing. And why wouldn't they need to do dress?
- 22:31Speaker 1: She make it? But ken years we just we just
- 22:33Speaker 1: discussed it. So what do you mean they say that
- 22:36Speaker 1: they got somebody down here that's gonna do the dressing,
- 22:38Speaker 1: especially since y'all traveling, y'all ain't got to bring it,
- 22:41Speaker 1: you know, and be traveling with it. But they got
- 22:43Speaker 1: somebody gonna do the dressing. Okay, Well, first of all,
- 22:46Speaker 1: who are you? You're you're Benji? What is your name?
- 22:49Speaker 1: That was not my name, Benjamin, but they called me Benji.
- 22:51Speaker 1: But but but, like I say, uh, I'm on the
- 22:55Speaker 1: other side of the family. I ain't on y'all side. Okay. Well,
- 22:58Speaker 1: I'm still trying to kick out white. You're calling me
- 23:01Speaker 1: because she's been making the dressing for ten years, like
- 23:03Speaker 1: I said, and I mean it's been discussed. So I
- 23:06Speaker 1: don't even know why why you're calling me. I don't
- 23:08Speaker 1: even know you. Okay. Well, what I'm trying to explain
- 23:11Speaker 1: to you this right here, is that they got so y'all,
- 23:13Speaker 1: y'all ain't got to worry with bringing the dressing. They
- 23:16Speaker 1: got somebody gonna bring They got somebody down here that's
- 23:19Speaker 1: gonna cook it, so and otherwhere with you know, if
- 23:22Speaker 1: you can tell Miss Prayvy she ain't got to worry
- 23:24Speaker 1: about the dressing this year. I'm so you want me
- 23:26Speaker 1: to tell my mom watcause she'd been making dressing for
- 23:29Speaker 1: ten years that y'all say, y'all ain't worried about she
- 23:32Speaker 1: shouldn't have to make this year. Because we're driving them
- 23:34Speaker 1: right off every year. So I'm not gonna do that
- 23:37Speaker 1: to her. So, I mean, I don't I don't even
- 23:39Speaker 1: know who you are to be calling me anyway. Why
- 23:41Speaker 1: didn't somebody calling me that I don't know regarding it? Okay, okay,
- 23:45Speaker 1: you're good the right, I am blending? All right. Listen,
- 23:48Speaker 1: let me say this because I don't mind saying what
- 23:51Speaker 1: everybody thinking, but most people don't want to say. Let
- 23:54Speaker 1: me just say this right here. Really, what's going on
- 23:57Speaker 1: is just right here. A lot of people in the family,
- 24:01Speaker 1: you know, don't really don't don't really like miss Pery
- 24:06Speaker 1: of his dressing DINGI Benjamin who he was supposed to be.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Let me spot something near my mama gonna make it dressing,
- 24:17Speaker 1: you gonna kiss it, and we ain't bringing that home
- 24:20Speaker 1: with us. So you can tell your family that I
- 24:22Speaker 1: said that because you understand me. I mean, for first
- 24:26Speaker 1: of all, you got to understand that I'm bringing news
- 24:29Speaker 1: that that people didn't don't voted on, and this is
- 24:31Speaker 1: what everybody want to do, don't nobody, Well, why didn't
- 24:33Speaker 1: Knee how we had a meeting from dressing she been
- 24:37Speaker 1: making me ten years? Ain't nobody had been saying nothing
- 24:39Speaker 1: and against what when them up in the house, nobody
- 24:42Speaker 1: bed not be walking up and through that. I'm talking
- 24:44Speaker 1: about my mama either, And you know I'm gonna eat it. Okay,
- 24:47Speaker 1: we'll see right there. Why why if people don't like
- 24:50Speaker 1: the dress in Glinda, why you want to make submit
- 24:53Speaker 1: everybody to have it to eat it? If they don't
- 24:55Speaker 1: like it, you don't eat. That's how I know I
- 24:57Speaker 1: don't know you want me well, I don't know Benjamin,
- 25:01Speaker 1: Benjie who I want to do my mama lord's nephew
- 25:04Speaker 1: from the other side of the family exactly, and they
- 25:07Speaker 1: don't know you, okay, and it really really to the
- 25:10Speaker 1: bad all that I don't really know you. But I'm
- 25:13Speaker 1: but but I'm but I'm man enough, I'm man another
- 25:15Speaker 1: car you and tell you what we're gonna do, what
- 25:17Speaker 1: we ain't gonna do what I know right' I said
- 25:21Speaker 1: it wanting I admitate it again. She gonna be six transfix.
- 25:24Speaker 1: You gonna eat it, and we're gonna round behind my name, Okay, Okay,
- 25:28Speaker 1: right there, listen, And I know this might be hard
- 25:31Speaker 1: for you to understand what you grew up. We're liking
- 25:35Speaker 1: everybody else might not like et me say what you
- 25:37Speaker 1: want to. I ain't gonna even you been white, so
- 25:41Speaker 1: you weren't like it because you aren't done around. But
- 25:43Speaker 1: she make it dress it now. First of all, when
- 25:46Speaker 1: y'all get down here, it's gonna already be some more
- 25:49Speaker 1: dressing here, okay, okay, and she gonna make country and
- 25:52Speaker 1: sense and we're gonna see down and we got I'm
- 25:54Speaker 1: gonna eat and I'm it's it's not even any means discussed,
- 25:57Speaker 1: no friend, and that I said, I don't I can
- 25:59Speaker 1: say because your name is gonna hurt my mama feeling. Okay,
- 26:02Speaker 1: there ain't nobody to try. That's why I'm trying to
- 26:04Speaker 1: tell you to tell her don't make it nah, so
- 26:06Speaker 1: she don't even bring it down. We aren't gonna get anyway. Hey, look,
- 26:11Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this here because every dealer you ain't
- 26:13Speaker 1: really understanding what I'm saying to you. I'm gonna say
- 26:15Speaker 1: it as clear as I can say. If y'all come
- 26:18Speaker 1: down here with that dress, I promise you we already
- 26:21Speaker 1: got dressing made. We're throwing that dressing in the trash
- 26:24Speaker 1: so everybody can get the dressing that we made. Fund
- 26:27Speaker 1: him Floy Blake. That's what we're doing. Please let me
- 26:31Speaker 1: find something in you. I'm gonna be undressing Patroll and
- 26:34Speaker 1: if I find out you then to my mama dressing
- 26:37Speaker 1: in the trash. It's gonna be something and we're gonna
- 26:39Speaker 1: set that. I'm not playing with you. That's what's so
- 26:43Speaker 1: funny to me. I'm gonna call. Ain't tell me we're
- 26:46Speaker 1: hung comfort coming. Ain't no fall enough to call us.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Are telling us to bull But now they're gonna set
- 26:52Speaker 1: She'll stupid because I don't even know she'll come. I can't.
- 26:56Speaker 1: They sound like you was a baby in the world.
- 27:00Speaker 1: The Benji bene my love. I don't even know your rap.
- 27:03Speaker 1: I'm telling you now that playing with you. I'm telling

- 35:01Speaker 1: you have to discuss purchases with Marjorie. Do you guys
- 35:05Speaker 1: have a budget? I mean we do, of course, you know,
- 35:07Speaker 1: we talk over the uh expensive items. You know, I'm
- 35:14Speaker 1: buying this, and that's Marjorie. I love it. Decision made, Steve,
- 35:22Speaker 1: I'm about this? Is that? Okay? Well, baby, I was thinking,
- 35:26Speaker 1: well I ordered it. It's not here yet, so think
- 35:29Speaker 1: about it. Give her what she wants. Steve. Next week
- 35:36Speaker 1: is him. Did you decide it's over them? Because because yeah,
- 35:42Speaker 1: because she could say, well, I could send it back,
- 35:44Speaker 1: and you know, that's when she gets you. That's the Yeah,
- 35:48Speaker 1: that's when it starts. You don't really want us me
- 35:50Speaker 1: to have it? Okay, I just tell them it's okay. Yeah,
- 35:54Speaker 1: they can come on out here and pick it up. Dan,
- 35:56Speaker 1: I guess okay, sure, you gotta discuss it. Huh No,
- 36:03Speaker 1: he just don't know. Yeah, that's what he found out
- 36:06Speaker 1: with Shirley weighing it. He doesn't mind, though, he really
- 36:10Speaker 1: doesn't mind. He doesn't care. He doesn't mind. Shirley trunk loaded,
- 36:16Speaker 1: she got under her. She took us spare time out
- 36:20Speaker 1: of her car. That's all that's a shopping being she
- 36:24Speaker 1: has a flat Oh yeah, she took all that out
- 36:28Speaker 1: the car yall that storage area. Man. At one time,
- 36:34Speaker 1: I got to the car and I'm fit to go
- 36:36Speaker 1: play golf, right, so I get my golf clubs. I
- 36:39Speaker 1: popped the trunk open to throw the golf clubs in
- 36:42Speaker 1: the trunk. It's just loaded. Herman's and Roger Vivienne just loaded.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Why do we do that? Though? It is women, Carl,
- 36:51Speaker 1: I don't know what. I haven't amount because they didn't
- 36:53Speaker 1: ask me. But I haven't amount. I have to run
- 36:55Speaker 1: stuff by my husband. I can't just be wilding out
- 36:57Speaker 1: like that. I got will ring. Have you lost your mind?
- 37:02Speaker 1: So the amount is a thousand dollars, I have to
- 37:04Speaker 1: get permission off from the spin. Oh if it's oh,
- 37:06Speaker 1: if it's a thousand dollars or over, cannot be a
- 37:09Speaker 1: little heard it. Let it be a thousand or one.
- 37:13Speaker 1: And he checks with you on the same thing for
- 37:16Speaker 1: the same thing. Uh huh, Well that's a good that's good. Yeah,
- 37:19Speaker 1: whatever works for your family. But I mean, if we
- 37:21Speaker 1: have these goals that we've said, you just can't be
- 37:23Speaker 1: wilding all the time. So what you're saying to me
- 37:26Speaker 1: as a woman, woman to woman, Yes, you don't have
- 37:29Speaker 1: any shoes hidden in your trunk or in your closet.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Is that what you're saying to me? Your girl a llegit?
- 37:41Speaker 1: I know better. Okay, we love shoes too much in
- 37:47Speaker 1: the bag that I pull this boy right and Stephen
- 37:51Speaker 1: Junior are not buying this at all, knowing that but
- 37:56Speaker 1: a thousand dollars. I do have to place a phone call, Yes,
- 37:58Speaker 1: I do every time though every time. Yes. Now I
- 38:02Speaker 1: may charm him and get what I want, but I
- 38:05Speaker 1: do have to my wife and ask me about us.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Get your clothes, not one phone call or not now nothing.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Just all right, We'll be back with more of the
- 38:21Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after you're listening. All right, everybody,
- 38:29Speaker 1: the holidays ahead. You're gonna be at your friend's house.
- 38:32Speaker 1: You're gonna be at your parents' house. You're gonna be
- 38:33Speaker 1: sitting around the table and living room whatever, having conversations
- 38:37Speaker 1: with people and you yourself about stuff you know nothing
- 38:41Speaker 1: about because your memory is shot. Okay, it'll sound something
- 38:45Speaker 1: like this, Well, we went over to um, let's see,
- 38:49Speaker 1: we went over to that boy's house and oh my god,
- 38:52Speaker 1: you know the one with the boy with the dog,

- 39:09Speaker 1: I think, I know, I think. But who were talking about?
- 39:17Speaker 1: Work at the hospital. She's a nurse, yes in turn
- 39:21Speaker 1: or yes because yeah, yeah, I know his mama wasn't madam.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I know that's right, that's right, my god, And that's
- 39:32Speaker 1: okay okay. Yeah, on the other end of um which
- 39:37Speaker 1: mccaull is blocked. They live on the side exactly the
- 39:41Speaker 1: block right when you go, you go, you go. I
- 39:44Speaker 1: know who you're talking about because his baby's mama used
- 39:49Speaker 1: to work with my cousin down on the other side,
- 39:53Speaker 1: you know, the other side of the bridge. Yeah, but
- 39:57Speaker 1: had that big dog. What kind of dog was that
- 40:03Speaker 1: mixed breed? It was a mixed breed though it was
- 40:07Speaker 1: role and something a German shepherd. His brother, His brother
- 40:10Speaker 1: dropped transmissions into yard you talk about, yes, yes, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.

- 40:35Speaker 1: or someplace Georgia down yeah, down there. Shot. It may
- 40:43Speaker 1: have been Florida, I don't know, but someplace in the east, someplace, Yeah,
- 40:47Speaker 1: I remember that. And she did hair on the weekends.
- 40:52Speaker 1: She did hair. She did in the kitchen, in the kitchen,
- 40:56Speaker 1: in the kachen, and she could bring some hat good
- 41:01Speaker 1: she I remember that, because she could braid hair and
- 41:04Speaker 1: make pies at the same time. I never right, And
- 41:08Speaker 1: that's why I never That's why I never bought anything
- 41:11Speaker 1: from it, because I was always scared I was gonna
- 41:13Speaker 1: have hair in my mind. She was friends with the
- 41:17Speaker 1: Snagertooth twins. They you know, they grown with missing they
- 41:20Speaker 1: both player just because they twins. Both they both yeah,

- 41:35Speaker 1: one was done. They looked alike that they didn't look alike.
- 41:41Speaker 1: That's what everybody said, to look alike, don't look alike exactly.
- 41:45Speaker 1: Man oh man, man. Yeah. He was talking about yeah, yeah,

- 42:14Speaker 1: I ain't seen you remember his wife though, because you
- 42:20Speaker 1: know what I remember about them the most. They looked
- 42:23Speaker 1: just the light. They looked just the light. But they
- 42:26Speaker 1: didn't like a light though. The way you could tell
- 42:31Speaker 1: them apart was her much ash was thicker than years.
- 42:35Speaker 1: And that's how you could tell him any given Sunday,
- 42:38Speaker 1: on any given Sunday. Yes, oh my god, I know.
- 42:45Speaker 1: And and there you have it, ladies and gentlemen's conversations

- 43:49Speaker 1: a bad time, is it. No, this is a good time. Okay.
- 43:52Speaker 1: So first of all, did everybody enjoy everything that we
- 43:56Speaker 1: put out for you guys? Yeah, we had a good
- 43:58Speaker 1: old time. My auntie Bridget she was so happy. There
- 44:04Speaker 1: was no better way to bring in her sixtieth birthday party.
- 44:06Speaker 1: We had a great time. The food was delicious. We

- 44:37Speaker 1: van and they I noticed that the chicken was actually
- 44:41Speaker 1: still here. So we want to take off take that off,
- 44:44Speaker 1: and I won't. That won't be on the on the envoys.
- 44:47Speaker 1: So I'm taking all the entire cross. The chicken will
- 44:50Speaker 1: be completely taken out. Okay, real quick, let's back up
- 44:53Speaker 1: a bit, because we had a lot of people at
- 44:56Speaker 1: the party. We definitely had chicken walking. Yeah, I know
- 45:00Speaker 1: you had you order some moother chicken. But like I said,
- 45:03Speaker 1: the guy put the wrong pan on the on the van,
- 45:06Speaker 1: you know, and actually this mother chicken was actually still here,
- 45:10Speaker 1: uh you know, here here the at the shop. So

- 45:15Speaker 1: gonna take it off and that's probably not your like
- 45:17Speaker 1: a couple hundred dollars off off of you as price. Like,
- 45:21Speaker 1: So so what are you saying? So what were we
- 45:23Speaker 1: eating if it wasn't this mother chicken? What was it? Uh? Well,
- 45:28Speaker 1: miss Tammy, like I said, you know, I got on
- 45:31Speaker 1: this kid for making this mistake. You know, I got
- 45:34Speaker 1: on it real bad about it. But you know, putting
- 45:36Speaker 1: the wrong pan on there. But like I said, this
- 45:39Speaker 1: what you guys had was it? That was a chicken?
- 45:41Speaker 1: What was it? Though? That's why I'm asking you what
- 45:44Speaker 1: was it? Actually what he put on there by mistake?
- 45:47Speaker 1: Miss tam Me, that was that was rabbid? What you
- 45:51Speaker 1: can't be serious right now? Are you out of your

- 46:02Speaker 1: served it to my family? And you're trying to call
- 46:05Speaker 1: me about two hundred dollars? Are just serious? Who does
- 46:09Speaker 1: more than that? You owe me more than that? You
- 46:11Speaker 1: don't know who the because allergic today? And you're calling
- 46:15Speaker 1: me about two hundred dollars? Are you out of your fine? Well?
- 46:19Speaker 1: I wanted to credit you all that, you know what

- 46:23Speaker 1: There ain't gonna be no credit. It ain't no credit.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Do you mean credit? Where you could have died? Monty
- 46:29Speaker 1: could have died, Lucie. Uh, we got kids in there.

- 49:55Speaker 1: My husband is now my kid's uncle. Dy yeah, yeah,
- 50:01Speaker 1: one more time. My husband is now my kid's uncle.
- 50:04Speaker 1: All right, Dear Stephen Shirley. I have a problem, and
- 50:07Speaker 1: I've been praying over it for years, but I can't
- 50:09Speaker 1: seem to get over it. I married a man when
- 50:12Speaker 1: I was twenty six years old and he was forty
- 50:14Speaker 1: one years old. We had a great married life, a nice,
- 50:18Speaker 1: big home, and three lovely children. I thought our fairy
- 50:22Speaker 1: tale would never end, but it did. We were married
- 50:25Speaker 1: for eight years, and on his birthday, he asked me
- 50:29Speaker 1: for a divorce and served me papers. I was shocked
- 50:33Speaker 1: that he already had the papers drawn up. Six months
- 50:37Speaker 1: after our divorce was final, my sister gave birth to
- 50:40Speaker 1: a healthy, beautiful baby girl. When I saw the baby,
- 50:44Speaker 1: I noticed that the baby had the same birthmark on
- 50:47Speaker 1: her foot that all three of my children do. Two
- 50:50Speaker 1: months later, my sister married my ex husband. At the wedding,
- 50:57Speaker 1: only two of our family members attended. My mother didn't
- 51:00Speaker 1: even go wait, wait, what okay? At the what okay?
- 51:06Speaker 1: Where do you want me to start? Two months This
- 51:12Speaker 1: is crazy, Steve, This is so crazy. All right, I'll
- 51:16Speaker 1: start here. We were married, they had a We were
- 51:19Speaker 1: married for eight years, and on his birthday he asked
- 51:21Speaker 1: me for a divorce and served me papers. I was
- 51:24Speaker 1: shocked that he already had the papers drawn up. Six
- 51:28Speaker 1: months after our divorce was final, my sister gave birth
- 51:31Speaker 1: to a beautiful baby girl. When I saw the baby,
- 51:35Speaker 1: I noticed that the baby had the same birthmark on
- 51:38Speaker 1: her foot that all three of my children do. Two
- 51:42Speaker 1: months later, my sister married my ex husband cocked. At
- 51:47Speaker 1: the wedding, only two of our family members attended. My
- 51:51Speaker 1: mother didn't even go. It has now been five years,
- 51:55Speaker 1: and I've heard my sister has three has had three
- 51:58Speaker 1: more kids. I haven't seen my ex husband or my
- 52:01Speaker 1: sister in many years, but my children have. Oh and yes,
- 52:05Speaker 1: I have driven by her house several times, only to
- 52:08Speaker 1: see that my ex husband has built her a huge
- 52:11Speaker 1: new house. I guess she's happy now that she has
- 52:14Speaker 1: everything I had. Why can't I get over this? Why
- 52:17Speaker 1: do I feel like a minute I see my sister,
- 52:21Speaker 1: I'm going to punch her in her face. Why am
- 52:23Speaker 1: I so hurt that my children's father is also my
- 52:27Speaker 1: children's uncle. I just don't know how to get past this.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Please help me. Yeah, this right here, this right here
- 52:36Speaker 1: is a hot stinking mess. Okay, I just have to
- 52:39Speaker 1: tell you you're not wrong, and how you feel you're
- 52:42Speaker 1: not wrong at all. Anyone who has gone through what
- 52:45Speaker 1: you've gone through would feel the exact same way in
- 52:48Speaker 1: your position. Your emotions are real, they are valid. Your
- 52:51Speaker 1: ex husband is vile and so is your sister. Imagine
- 52:56Speaker 1: being married to someone for eight years only to get
- 52:59Speaker 1: a divorced uh paper at his birthday, at his on
- 53:04Speaker 1: his birthday, at his birthday party. Of course you're shocked.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Of course you know they've been doing this behind your
- 53:09Speaker 1: back all this time. Six months after your divorce is final,
- 53:13Speaker 1: then your sister gives birth to a beautiful baby girl.
- 53:15Speaker 1: Who does this to their sister their own blood? She
- 53:19Speaker 1: I mean, stole your husband. Your husband's sleeping with her
- 53:22Speaker 1: behind your bag. This is awful. At the wedding, I
- 53:26Speaker 1: understand if only two of your family members attended. Um.
- 53:32Speaker 1: Your mother didn't even go. UM, so your kids. Let's
- 53:36Speaker 1: get this straight. Your kids are their cousins, their aunt's
- 53:41Speaker 1: uncles and aunts. What what is this is crazy? Yeah,
- 53:45Speaker 1: this is not a good family reunion at all. Uh yeah,
- 53:49Speaker 1: I probably would have driven by her house several times
- 53:52Speaker 1: too to you know. Yeah, it's hard to get over
- 53:54Speaker 1: something like this. I mean, I you know, I'm surprised
- 53:58Speaker 1: that you even had the strength to write the letter,
- 54:00Speaker 1: and it's a great letter. I'm sorry you had to
- 54:03Speaker 1: go through this. This is this is awful. Who does
- 54:05Speaker 1: this to their sister, to their wife? This is craziness.
- 54:09Speaker 1: You're hurt because they hurt you, and you're hurt because
- 54:12Speaker 1: of that they hurt you. This is terrible. You don't
- 54:15Speaker 1: know how to get past it. I don't know how either.
- 54:17Speaker 1: I don't know how it would. And you know, I'm
- 54:19Speaker 1: all about love and forgiveness and all of this, but
- 54:21Speaker 1: this right here would be a real hard one to
- 54:23Speaker 1: forgive to get past. Un Yeah what yeah, yeah, I
- 54:31Speaker 1: mean you know this, this is really this is just
- 54:33Speaker 1: vile and crazy and ugly. Steve, I'm gonna just start
- 54:39Speaker 1: with the end of the letter. I don't know how
- 54:41Speaker 1: to get past this. Please help me. Somebody need to
- 54:44Speaker 1: get to ask for hey man, that really I don't
- 54:47Speaker 1: even know how to. That's the only way I could
- 54:49Speaker 1: see me coming through this. This is this really the
- 54:53Speaker 1: only way I see me coming coming through this at all.
- 55:00Speaker 1: I mean for me to even begin the healing process,
- 55:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to make several attempts to get at
- 55:08Speaker 1: both y'all, the sister and the ex. You know he
- 55:12Speaker 1: got all his house building money where he can build
- 55:14Speaker 1: everybody big housing. I would have been shut that down.
- 55:17Speaker 1: What would you have done, Steve? I would have destroyed
- 55:20Speaker 1: him on social media. Lady, you was married to this
- 55:23Speaker 1: man when he was twenty six, he was forty one.
- 55:25Speaker 1: He had a great married life, big house, three kids,
- 55:29Speaker 1: doctor fairytale. When they married eight years on his birthday,
- 55:32Speaker 1: he asked you for a divorce sale papers. He already
- 55:35Speaker 1: had the papers drawn up. Six months after divorce was final.
- 55:39Speaker 1: Your sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. You
- 55:41Speaker 1: saw the baby. The baby got the same damn birth
- 55:45Speaker 1: mark on her foot that all three of your kids had.
- 55:48Speaker 1: I'd have started with the baby baby get their foote Okay,
- 56:00Speaker 1: I don't know how. I'm telling you somebody I gotta
- 56:02Speaker 1: start paying. I deal with the rest of them when
- 56:04Speaker 1: I come back. I don't know how, all right, Steve, Well, okay,
- 56:09Speaker 1: we're gonna give you a moment to calm down. Okay,
- 56:11Speaker 1: we'll have Part two of your response coming up at
- 56:14Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour. You're listening. All right, Steve,
- 56:21Speaker 1: let's recap today. I ain't nothing. I'm just going into
- 56:24Speaker 1: this twenty six years old married man. He forty one,
- 56:29Speaker 1: had a great married life, big house, three beautiful kids.
- 56:33Speaker 1: Thought the fairytale would never end, but he did. Married
- 56:37Speaker 1: for eight years. On his birthday, he asked me for
- 56:41Speaker 1: a divorce and serve me papers. You know why he
- 56:44Speaker 1: did it on the birthday because he's spending the birthday
- 56:47Speaker 1: with your sister. Now, I can't be over here and
- 56:51Speaker 1: there at the same time. How can I not be
- 56:53Speaker 1: over here? I got it drafty damned divorce papers that
- 56:57Speaker 1: stop all the party atmosphere over here on go over
- 57:00Speaker 1: head and had his birthday with your sister. I was shocked.
- 57:04Speaker 1: He already had the papers drawn up. Six months later,
- 57:07Speaker 1: after our divorce was final, my sister gave birth to
- 57:10Speaker 1: a beautiful baby girl. When I saw the baby girl,
- 57:14Speaker 1: the baby had the same birthmark on her foot that
- 57:17Speaker 1: all three of my children do. Now, see right here,
- 57:21Speaker 1: I starts hurting people right there, right there, right here. Now,
- 57:28Speaker 1: let's just say this. Right here, When I look down
- 57:32Speaker 1: and I see the same birthmark on this beautiful baby girl.
- 57:37Speaker 1: That so all of your children, somebody got to pay
- 57:43Speaker 1: with a foot. Okay, now can't be the baby. So
- 57:48Speaker 1: that right here, I'm gonna start with. I need a
- 57:50Speaker 1: foot from somebody, either my sister or my damn husband,
- 57:57Speaker 1: but somebody fit to give up a foot because I
- 58:00Speaker 1: got to start hurting people immediately. I noticed. Two months
- 58:06Speaker 1: later my sister married my ex husband two months after
- 58:12Speaker 1: the baby was born. At the wedding, two of our
- 58:16Speaker 1: family members attended would have been at three. I had
- 58:22Speaker 1: to go because I got to start hurting some At
- 58:28Speaker 1: the wedding, I'm gonna be in the balcony somewhere with
- 58:34Speaker 1: something that shoots. Might not be a gun, but it's
- 58:40Speaker 1: gonna be like a sling shot of pellet, right for something.
- 58:45Speaker 1: At the wedding, only two of my family members attended.
- 58:48Speaker 1: Okay which two was them? Because I asked, ain't speaking?
- 58:53Speaker 1: I need the name or the two people that took
- 58:56Speaker 1: they brought to this wedding called me and you it's through. Yeah.
- 59:02Speaker 1: My mother didn't even go cause she knew go down
- 59:07Speaker 1: there if you want to, Mama. It's now been five
- 59:10Speaker 1: years and I heard my sister has had three more kids.
- 59:16Speaker 1: I'll tell you what they've been. I had that on
- 59:18Speaker 1: their feet. I know that, I know, I know, I know,
- 59:22Speaker 1: I know. It better not be three more people with
- 59:25Speaker 1: some birthmark, because now it's gonna be three more people
- 59:30Speaker 1: some problem. Everybody with birthmark on the foot, I takes
- 59:34Speaker 1: another foot. So that folk, that folk kids, right, three
- 59:40Speaker 1: more and folks. So now my sister and my ex
- 59:44Speaker 1: husband ain't neither one of them got no more feet. Man, man,
- 59:52Speaker 1: I haven't seen my ex husband or my sister in
- 59:56Speaker 1: many years. That's impossible. What do you mean? But we
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: ain't seen each other? You know what many attempts I
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: would have made on that? Ye? Yes, how the hell
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna try to kill you and I ain't seen it.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: You can't get a shot off, you ain't seening. So
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: right there, I haven't seen my ex but my children.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: So the children been going over that visited, uh huh,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: because that's their daddy, Steve, that's their daddy. Huh. So
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: they've been over that visiting their daddy. Uncle. Yeah, who's
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: married to your aunt? Right? Who really is your uncle? Right?
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: And your daddy and your daddy right? So what uncle, daddy,
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: daddy uncle, uncle, daddy, daddy. Oh, yes, I've driven by
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: her house several times. Drive back, Nah, were talking, I've
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: driven by. You ain't had nothing hanging out to wonder.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Let's do it. You ain't had nothing. You had grenade,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: and you ain't dade that assault rifle. You know. Hell,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: they keep talking about the Second Amendment. You're right, you
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: ain't have assault rifle. Yeah, the cocktail with your lighted
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: like the bottling through only to see that my ex
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: husband has built her a huge new house with what
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Now I got all that, I got all that money,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: I'm child support, alimony. Yeah, I guess she's happy now
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: that she has everything I had. How you ain't got
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: it no more? How you how he leaves you with
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: the baby. You ain't got no house, no money, no
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: child support, no alimony. If you have told this story
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: in any court of law, he is still be paying you. Yeah.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Why can't I get over this? Because you ain't hurt nobody,
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: that's the problem. Oh oh damn. Why do I feel
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: like the moment I see my sister, I'm gonna punch
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: in her face because that's what you're gonna do. And
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: how do you punch down face? You can start healing again,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: because look, then you can you have you can ask
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: the Lord to forgive you. Yeah, so you can start.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I just don't know how to get past this. I'm
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: so hurt that my children's father's also my children's uncle.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: I just don't know. You got pray about this for real, lady, seriously,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: and do not hurt nobody because it ain't worth it.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: You're right, Steve, that is true. You're right court taking
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: the court suing for everything he got. You should have
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: a big house. He gonna come. Who you're a boss,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: sister though this is your sister, s yes, really is

- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I'm ready. Holidays is coming. It is coming, and so
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: you got people that's coming with somebody you've never met
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: but you've heard about. Now. I got a cousin, got
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: this girl who's giving him all these problems, and I
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: just thought about it. She'll be told. The crazy they are.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: The more ways you try to defend them to your family.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I ain't never met the girl with about to meet
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: the old Thanksgiving like stuff like this, Like, okay, I
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: heard all you that she tried to smother you with
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: the pillar. Yeah don't. We started off playing and forever.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: Then it got serious. But then you ain't ever been
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: you ain't never been smothered before. You ain't never been
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: smothered before, play with and trying to smother you? Yea
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: or this one or this one? Dog dog? I heard
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: she raised about the back seat of your car you
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: try to leave. Yeah, she raised about the back seat.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: She was concerned by where I was going. That I
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: never had nobody that was concerned by where you be.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: I mean, dog love, let her love me. The crazier
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: they are, the more they try to defend them to us,
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I can't to meet the girl like like, darn, that
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: wasn't about you. She shot at you, Yeah, she shot it.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: She shot at me because she was concerned I was
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: messing up. I heard that good shot I got right
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: back in lane. I mean, ain't nobody else shot at
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: you before? No, darning, ain't nobody else shot it up? Okay,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: gets about to shoot you for you speak on this subject.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: I ain't speak let you've been shot at. I'm just
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: I can't wait to meet her. Just the crazier they are,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: are they gonna defend them to the I can't wait
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: to see this girl. All we gonna have some fun
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: this thing. And that's true being told. I'm just telling.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: That was good. That was true, Junior. Everybody got on
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: you ain't. I mean, I was taking the bath in
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: the tub. Then she came in and pushed my head
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: under water. But but she left me under a little
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: too low. I choked a little bit. But you ain't
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: never been held under water under your No, everybody did that.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: We don't speak on that. Tell you walk in my shoes.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: There was just a cut, stabbed, I really stabbed the night,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: all the way in, all the way in. It's just
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: a cut. We're just just a surface. One thirty two stitches.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: That's it. Oh yeah, okay, just drown me a little bit.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: That's a little bit. I'm good. They never been drowned before.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: That's what I don't like. You can't speak old all right,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: after this, you're listening to the Steven Show. Going home
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: for the holidays can be a nightmare for some people
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: who dealing with bickering family can ruin anyone's holiday, But
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: the real horror comes when it's time to go to sleep.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Being forced to crash in either your childhood home or
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: a relative place over Thanksgiving or Christmas, why are they staying?
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: It can definitely get awkward, which is why it shouldn't
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: surprise us that a new survey finds that fifty two
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: percent of adults say they they've made up some sort
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: of excuse specifically to avoid uncomfortable sleeping arrangements over the holidays.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: That's over half, so and you should. Yeah, if I
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: can't walk to my kitchen Friday, I have to thank
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: you in my drag. There's a problem. Hey, listen to me.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: Why does holidays have to be for all family? What
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: do you what do you mean? Yeah, you know, ain't
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: on law say all family got to come over. All
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: family got to be together. Most of these people in
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: your family that you don't like anymore, I'm married and
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: have their own family. But don't you invite together? The
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: family is coming together? Don't you invite who you want
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: to invite over your house but you don't like them?
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: And you're gonna have them over, yeah, where you're trying
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: to tolerate them. But that's the problem for the occasion
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: for the holiday. Yeah, I don't. I don't do that,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: and my wife honors that request to me, don't have
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: nobody in my house on my limited time. I'm off
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: that I don't like. Just do that for me? Is
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: that a lot? What about people that go over their
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: mom's house, right, or they go over their parents' house
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: and they gotta stay and put up with people that
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: they don't like for the sake of their parents. You
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. That's on. I don't go no
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: where I ain't like. I think here's the biggest problem,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: not you, but you may not like who's coming, but
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: you dealing well when they get down, I'm gone, Yeah,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: like I'm cool with the family. It's who the family
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: brain with them. Once again, my wife got a cousin
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: always gonna bring somebody we don't know who the hell
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: he is, and you got you you can't relax. I
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: don't need I need to get him to have two
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: spoons and keep clicking them to gel so I know
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: where you're at. Well, when you invite them, do you
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: say plus one, or you just invite them and they
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: bring someone. They don't let you know. She just come
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: over with somebody new every yeah, or they already en route.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: It's kind of I bring such a suf. Huh my aunt,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: my grandmother sister. When she come over, I leave because
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: ain't nobody telling me about her condition? Needs on? Antybody
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: told me? She hu her memory going yeah, see, I
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: don't like see, I don't like that because she's surprised
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: about everything. She don't remember nobody enough and time spent
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: her hey and and she said, who who is that?
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Who is that? Who is that? Right? Yeah, you don't
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: want to do that? Five hours of that? Here your plate?
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: What's this on this plate? What is that? That's turkey?
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: And dressed that you don't know? This is the reason
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: we're here today. You don't know that? Then you go
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: up you know what I'm saying, Like she go to
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: the restroom, didn't come back, say hi, I get to
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: the bathroom. You just left out of there. No, I'm
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: not gonna do it for five hours. I'm sorry, I'm
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: not doing that. I leave. You ain't got to come over.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: That's the reason. Where that is turkey? How you don't
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: know turkey and dressing when you see it? Man? You
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: know who else I don't like. I don't like them
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: people that come over to the house what and take
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: more food with them than they come on? You're saying, yes, yes,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, like are you for real? Man? Yeah,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: you're just gonna cut out half a pan of dressing?
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: You got a spatchlor you take it so much dressing
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: out you're using you're using a spatching the dog. But
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: you in that three foul time? But do they bring
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: their own aluminum foil in their bags? Stuff being in
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: the car? Yeah? I have to go kid. You know what?
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: They got these new ziplock bangs just bigger than a
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: gallon the big more of the show right after these
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: jams you're listening to show. So what are some of
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: the strange things? You're strange habits and Thanksgiving? I have
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: a relative that's what's supposedly? Um is it? Which one
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: is it? Jehoa witness or seven dead minutes? You know
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: they don't eat meat, but this particularly is that there
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: was meat in the greens. And she she had already
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: been like half played in you know, yes, yes, And
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: my mom said, and you know this meeting in greens.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: She went, huh and kavy eating lives, all lives because
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: the greens were good. Right, so good. Let me tell
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: y'all something. I got a relative. I got a cousin
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: that would eat everything in one bowl. But but ja
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: jay the twist to it all. He may have a dressing,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: a cranbar sauce, got some turkey laid across it. Everybody
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: understand that that makes sense, right yeah? Right next to
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: it is a scoop of vanilla ice cream, right yeah.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: But I'm looking at him like, you please tell me
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: you're not gonna use my bathroom while you here? Please?
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: Then you got that relative time and that you know
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: they're complaining because my food is touching I don't want
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I know some people like that. Yeah,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: people like that. And you know what to j A
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: lot of kids when you're making air plates, they don't
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: want them touch. Well, that's that's why you gotta have
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: them paper plates called with them. Divide is in it
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: for they? Yes, keep that gi mess over there. You're
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: talking big money paper places. I'm not place they gotta
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: wait with wimen on it. Coming up. More of the
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning show. Right after this, you're listening to
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the Steve Morning Show. All right, here's a question. Guys,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: we're coming up on the holidays. You know you're going
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: to be spending money, buying gifts, things like that. So
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: here's a question. Do you have to discuss if you're
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: in a relationship, do you have to discuss high price
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: purchases with your significant other? All right, Steve, do you
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: have to discuss purchases with Marjorie? Do you guys have
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: a budget? I mean we do, of course, you know
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: we talk over uh expensive items. You know that conversation
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: was very short. I'm buying this and that's Marjorie. I
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: love it, Steve, I'm about this. Is that okay? Well baby,
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: I was thinking, well I ordered it, it's not here yet,
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: so think about it. Give her what she wants. Steve
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: is him. Did you decide it's over though? Because because yeah,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: because she could say, well I could send it back,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: and you know that's when she gets you. That's the Yeah,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: that's when the like, you don't really want us me
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: to have it? Okay, I just tell them it's okay, Yeah,
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: they can come on out here and pick it up.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Then I guess okay, sure you got discuss it. Huh No,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: he just don't know. Yeah, that's what he found out
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: with Shirley Wayne it. He doesn't mind, though, he really
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: doesn't mind. He doesn't care, he doesn't mind. Shirley trunk loaded.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: She got she took us spare time out of her car.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: That's all that's a shopping being. She has a flat
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: and oh yeah, she took all that out there come
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: all that storage area. Those in the shares. Man at
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: one time. I got to the car and I'm fit
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: to go play golf, right, so I get my golf clubs.
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: I popped the trunk open to throw the golf clubs
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: in the trunk. It's just loaded. Her Man's and Roger
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Vivienne just loaded. Why do we do that though? Is women? Carla,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: I don't know what. I haven't amount because they didn't
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: ask me. But I haven't amount. I have to run
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: stuff by my husband. I can't just be wilding out
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: like that. I got ring. How much have you lost
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: your mind? So the amount is a thousand dollars, I
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: have to get permission on if it's Oh, if it's
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: a thousand dollars, are over. Cannot be a little hutter it.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: Let it be a thousand oh one and he checks
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: with you on the same thing for the same thing.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: Uh huh, Well that's a good that's good. Yeah, whatever
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: works for your family. But I mean, if we have
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: these goals that we've said, you just can't be wilding
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: all the time. So what you're saying to me as
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: a woman, woman to woman, Yes, you don't have any
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: shoes hidden in your trunk or in your closet. Is
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: that what you're saying to me? Your girl a llegen? Yes,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I know better. Okay, we love shoes too much in
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: the bag that I pull off this boy right and
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Stephen Junior are not buying this at all, knowing that,
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: but a thousand dollars, I do have to place the
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: phone call, Yes I do every time though every time. Yes,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Now I may charm him and get what I want,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: but I do have to my wife stitch your clothes.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: Got one phone call, but not now nothing? All right,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: coming up next to our last break of the day,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: and Steve will have some closing remarks. All that's coming
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: up at forty nine after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: you're listening to last break of the day. We've had
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: a great morning today. Yes, yes, we did. We have
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: fun today. Steve. It's time for you now to take
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: us home with your closing remarks. What you got for
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: us today, Steve? Today, Um, I was thinking of something
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: that's another jewel that has really helped me in my
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: quest and it's about my dreams and my goals, and
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: I was wanted to share this with you today. One
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: of the greatest dangers, uh, for more of us is
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: not that our aim is too high and we miss it,
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: but that is too low and we reach it. Can
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: I say that to you again? This is actually a
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: quote from Michael Angelo. He said, the greatest danger for
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: most of us is not that our aim is too
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: high and we miss it, but that is too low
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: and we reach it. That's crazy, man. My father used
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: to say something to me all the time, very similar.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: He says, son, aim for the moon, because if you miss,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: you'll still be amongst the stars. And that's pretty much
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: the same thing that he's saying. That the greatest danger
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: for most of us, it's not that our aim is
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: too high and we miss it, but that is too
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: low and we reach it. Let me explain something to
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: you about low aspirations. And low goals. When you reach
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: a low aspiration and a low goal and there's nothing
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: after that, you think you've arrived, you think you that
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: you actually get comfortable. Man, I made it, when in essence,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: there's so much more to life to live, so much
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: more that you could accomplish if you would just reset
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: your goals in aspiration. I remember, man, a long time ago,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: this dude in my high school. He said, Man, all,
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: I want I know two dudes like this about a car.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: He said, Man, all, I won't. Man, it's this Grand Torino. Man.
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: If I had a Grand Torino, Man, I wouldn't want
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: nothing else for his senior graduation. This dude's father gave
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: him a Grand Torino. It's like unbelievable. In high school, Man,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: nineteen seventy four Grand Torino with the two windows in
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: the slits in the back. I was looking at this
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: like wow. Man, he drove it to the prom just
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: still had a brand new cars father bought it. I
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: saw him like twenty years later. You know he had
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: the same car. He had the same car. It happened
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: to another dude. I knew, Man that wanted this Cadillac. Man,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: if I ever get to this Cadillac man, this white Cadillac,
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: the red seats man. He got it. I saw him
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: years later, years later, I don't really remember how many,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: but he still had the same car. Always beat to hell,
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: but he had the same car because that was his
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: aspiration and he reached it. But when he reached it,
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: he got comfortable. I got it, and he quit wanting more,
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: he quit reaching for higher things. You have to reassess
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: your life constantly, man, because you are going to continue
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: to live. You have to aspire to something that requires
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: God's help. Quit wanting and reaching for stuff that you
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: can do. Why would you say to yourself, man, if
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: I could just get me a used car, if I
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: could give me a nineteen eighty five maximum, really really
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: get your money, save your money and go on and
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: get it. But if that's your only goal and you
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: get it, where you go from now? You are never
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: too old to keep reaching your goal one more time.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: You are never too old to keep reaching your goal.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: It's goals out there, it's things that you can achieve.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Get out of your comfort zone. Man, If you try
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: to survive in your comfort zone, your comfort zone, you
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: will fail in it. Everybody fails in the comfort zone.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: Because in order to be successful, you got to get uncomfortable,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: You got to get you got something. You got to
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: go when you don't want to go. You gotta do
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: when you don't want to do. That's what discipline is.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: It requires discipline to achieve great things. It requires discipline
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: to reach your goals. Because discipline is simply doing everything
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: you have to do and need to do, even if
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: you don't want to. That's what discipline is. It's doing
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: the things that you have to do and need to do,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: even when you don't want to. You go do it anyway.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: That's what discipline is. That's how you achieve goals. That's
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: how you reach higher heights. Aim for the moon because
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: if you miss, you'll still be amongst the stars. But
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: it's real simple man. It's just like Michelangelo said, the
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: greatest danger for most of us is not that our
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: aim is too high and we miss it, but that
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: is too low and we reach it. Because it's danger, man,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: when you ain't got nothing after that, because you get
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: to settling and you get to thinking you there, when
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: you ain't there, you got so much more life to live.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: God has so much more for you. God comes to
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: give you life and give you life more abundantly. God
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: ain't no mediocre God. God don't do mediocre things. God
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: do great things. God performs miracles. God makes dreams come true.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: God is in the blessing business, the healing business, the
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: saving business, the recovery business, to get your life together business.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Why don't you let him do that for you? Aim high?
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: God may take you some places you've never been. Those
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: are my closing remarks. Y'all have a great weekend. All
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: right now, BT expressed. Do it, Do it until you're satisfied.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: Come on and do it good for all. Steve Every
