- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join jo. You gotta turning. You gotta turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: to turnout. Turn you got to turn out to turn
- 1:46Speaker 1: the water the water go. Come, come on your thing.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh, I shall well, good morning, everybody. Excuse me,
- 2:06Speaker 1: you're listening to the voice. Come on dig me now.
- 2:10Speaker 1: One and only Steve Arvey got a radio show. Man
- 2:13Speaker 1: o man o man something going on real good today.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You ought to feel blessed today, the fact that God
- 2:20Speaker 1: woke you up and gave you another opportunity. You know,
- 2:23Speaker 1: every day you wake up, it's another chance. It's a
- 2:25Speaker 1: chance for all of us to get better, to get
- 2:28Speaker 1: it right, to get on the right path, to stop
- 2:31Speaker 1: heading the wrong way. Every day you wake up, that's
- 2:34Speaker 1: your opportunity. See, because he's gonna keep waking you up
- 2:38Speaker 1: because he has a plan for you. You know, I
- 2:42Speaker 1: don't know, uh you know, I don't. I don't. I
- 2:48Speaker 1: don't know when he makes his call and and you
- 2:50Speaker 1: know who gets called home when I can't explain it.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I don't have that answer, I'm not him. I'm not God.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I don't claim to be. I don't I don't understand
- 2:59Speaker 1: it all sometimes, but God has an amazing way. But
- 3:03Speaker 1: as long as he's waking you up, I do know this,
- 3:06Speaker 1: God ain't through with you yet. God has a plan
- 3:08Speaker 1: for you. Your job is to identify, identify the plan.
- 3:14Speaker 1: You know, that's that's clearly what I need for you
- 3:16Speaker 1: to do. You know, um oftentimes the thing that you're
- 3:20Speaker 1: looking for, it's right there inside of you. You know.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many people I meet, mister Harvey,
- 3:29Speaker 1: mister cant speak to you for many year. Man, what's
- 3:31Speaker 1: up with you? Man? I was just wondering. Man, I've
- 3:34Speaker 1: been trying to and I want to know, Man, can
- 3:36Speaker 1: you give me a good agent? Can you give me
- 3:39Speaker 1: a good lawyer? Can you give me a good Now? Look,
- 3:42Speaker 1: if you got some legal problems, I understand you're gonna
- 3:45Speaker 1: need some help right there. But the majority of questions
- 3:47Speaker 1: I get asked is about their future, about their place
- 3:50Speaker 1: in this world, about their mission, about what they're trying
- 3:54Speaker 1: to do, how they're trying to figure out, and then
- 3:56Speaker 1: how to go about doing it. But the answer I
- 3:59Speaker 1: must remind all of you is always within yourself. It
- 4:03Speaker 1: starts right there. See a lot of people burn up
- 4:06Speaker 1: a lot of time looking around trying to find someone.
- 4:10Speaker 1: If I could just meet them, if I could just
- 4:14Speaker 1: get on her show. Man, if all, if I could
- 4:18Speaker 1: just get to his show, I beating made it. That's
- 4:23Speaker 1: not necessarily the case. Because See, just like every time
- 4:27Speaker 1: you put your put your faith in a person or
- 4:31Speaker 1: an event or currens or some type of thing that
- 4:36Speaker 1: you imagine yourself being and in that'll do it for you.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Imagine of all the people who've made it without you know,
- 4:42Speaker 1: I look at everybody telling, man, if I could get
- 4:44Speaker 1: on so and so show, that will do it for me. Man,
- 4:47Speaker 1: somebody else got on that show and they blew up. Man,
- 4:49Speaker 1: if I could just make it to that show, do
- 4:51Speaker 1: you know how many people have made it without that?
- 4:54Speaker 1: So see, when you start focusing in on what your
- 4:58Speaker 1: idea of how to make it is, and your idea
- 5:01Speaker 1: of how to make it does not include your relationship
- 5:04Speaker 1: with God, you're spending your wills. Man, it's a vicious
- 5:07Speaker 1: cycle you're in now, and I'm asking everybody to get
- 5:10Speaker 1: out of that cycle, get out of looking for someone
- 5:13Speaker 1: and something. The answer is within you. God resides in you.
- 5:19Speaker 1: That burning thing that you have that you just can't
- 5:22Speaker 1: get out your head. That's a seed. God planet that
- 5:26Speaker 1: that that's a seed. It needs watering, nurturing, fertilizing, and
- 5:30Speaker 1: that's what it needs. It didn't it. Don't ever say, man,
- 5:34Speaker 1: I need that other person right there now. Now, people
- 5:37Speaker 1: you will meet. That a compliment you, and I can
- 5:39Speaker 1: assure you that God will put you in the right
- 5:41Speaker 1: place at the right time. I'm almost certain that God
- 5:44Speaker 1: will introduce you to everybody you need to be introduced
- 5:48Speaker 1: to to make it to wherever it is. You all
- 5:51Speaker 1: are trying to get to them talking about you and
- 5:52Speaker 1: God now. But the moment you're taken into your own
- 5:56Speaker 1: hands and you make the decision as to who you
- 5:58Speaker 1: got to get to, you've just clouded and muddied the waters.
- 6:02Speaker 1: See God's plan for you don't really need your help.
- 6:08Speaker 1: It needs your attention, It needs your focus, it needs
- 6:12Speaker 1: your faith, and it needs your hard work. But it
- 6:15Speaker 1: needs you to listen. It needs you to listen more
- 6:19Speaker 1: than anything. Listen, keep the faith, and be willing to
- 6:23Speaker 1: work your tail off. I don't know how you think
- 6:27Speaker 1: it can happen any other way, but then again I
- 6:30Speaker 1: do because I try to make it another way. So
- 6:34Speaker 1: I had to come to the conclusion, Hey man, listen here, dog,
- 6:38Speaker 1: this ain't working for you. You gotta get some more
- 6:41Speaker 1: God here, man, listen to me. The answer was always
- 6:45Speaker 1: within me, the moment I sat down with myself and
- 6:50Speaker 1: told myself the truth that a partner you ain't really
- 6:54Speaker 1: all that they a partner regardless as to what people
- 6:57Speaker 1: are seeing and stuff you ain't have. Hey Pardner, this
- 7:01Speaker 1: really ain't about you. Hey Pardner, you really ain't all
- 7:05Speaker 1: that good at this. God is keeping you for a reason. Okay,
- 7:10Speaker 1: hold of Steve, quit tripping what I need to do.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I just started talking to myself and then I heard
- 7:16Speaker 1: Bishop Jake's say a couple of things. Then I was
- 7:18Speaker 1: watching TV. I heard Joel Oldstein say a couple of
- 7:21Speaker 1: things and I went wild, man, Okay, cool, that's pretty slick.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna try that. And when I did it, it
- 7:28Speaker 1: changed my life. I am telling you, man, it has
- 7:32Speaker 1: been God this whole time, and the God has been
- 7:35Speaker 1: residing inside of me, just like the God resides on
- 7:39Speaker 1: the inside of you. That's Him talking to you, telling you, man,
- 7:42Speaker 1: you are to get it together. Man, making you feel bad.
- 7:46Speaker 1: It's sending you on guilt trips, you knowing you wrong,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and you out there wrong and something telling you you
- 7:51Speaker 1: all not do it. Here's how you know. It's God.
- 7:55Speaker 1: And Bishop Olmer taught me this in his book He's
- 7:58Speaker 1: Got ain't think of the name of it right now,
- 8:01Speaker 1: but it's a really good book. But it says in
- 8:04Speaker 1: there man. Bishop Alma was talking in this book and
- 8:07Speaker 1: he was saying, the way you know is not God's voice.
- 8:11Speaker 1: It's if it ain't no sin in it. See how
- 8:15Speaker 1: many times have you made up in your mind I'm
- 8:18Speaker 1: gonna show this person or I'm gonna show that person.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna get this person back. You hurt me, I'm
- 8:24Speaker 1: gonna hurt you. You know the Lord don't like ugly.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I'll show you well, the Lord don't like ugly. But
- 8:31Speaker 1: no way in that doesn't safe for you to go
- 8:33Speaker 1: show them. It doesn't say that. See, so when you
- 8:37Speaker 1: strike out on that mission, you know the God knows
- 8:41Speaker 1: in my heart I loved you, but I got to
- 8:43Speaker 1: do this because you did me. Whoa wo ain't got
- 8:46Speaker 1: nothing to do with God? Right there? You can take
- 8:48Speaker 1: him out of it. If it's God has no sin,
- 8:52Speaker 1: in it. So anytime somebody come to me talking about
- 8:56Speaker 1: the Lord told me to do this to you, and
- 8:58Speaker 1: that's the only reason I'm doing it. You need to
- 9:00Speaker 1: get yourself right with God. I heard all them threats
- 9:03Speaker 1: right there. That ain't God talking to me through you.
- 9:06Speaker 1: What are you crazy? If it's God, it has no
- 9:10Speaker 1: sin in it. So you got to be careful, man,
- 9:12Speaker 1: when you're talking to people and we're gonna go down
- 9:14Speaker 1: here and we're gonna do this because this is the
- 9:16Speaker 1: right thing to do. If it has something wrong going on,
- 9:20Speaker 1: then it can't be the right thing to do. Took
- 9:24Speaker 1: me a minute to learn that one, But please get
- 9:26Speaker 1: that through your head so you can quit spinning yourself
- 9:29Speaker 1: around and remember everything you're looking for is within you.
- 9:34Speaker 1: It's all right there. Quit wasting your time looking around
- 9:39Speaker 1: all the time. Go to your God, man, talk to him.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Go to that spirit that's on the inside of you
- 9:45Speaker 1: that's calling you. Stop letting people shake your treat. At
- 9:49Speaker 1: the end of the day, somebody gonna be right, somebody
- 9:51Speaker 1: gonna be wrong. All right, y'all, we're gonna help going
- 9:54Speaker 1: day tripping a little bit, going through something. You're listening,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, We are sitting here on the cusp
- 10:07Speaker 1: of what is already a beautiful morning. If you are
- 10:10Speaker 1: in it, it's beautiful, whatever your situation is. To all
- 10:16Speaker 1: my brothers and sisters that might be listening this locked up, y'all,
- 10:19Speaker 1: keep your head up. God still got you, guys, still
- 10:22Speaker 1: love you. Oh man, This is Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 10:26Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry Colin for real, Mississippi Monica. Uh, Junior better

- 10:36Speaker 1: better known as Nephew Tommy, and yours truly, Junior. Um,
- 10:42Speaker 1: it's starting to trouble me. But what's on your mind?
- 10:46Speaker 1: I tell you so, my man, Let's just say this, Um, Me,
- 10:51Speaker 1: Me and Tommy out and we get kid now and
- 10:54Speaker 1: they won't five million dollars? Who you spending the money over?
- 10:58Speaker 1: You rescuing me or you, nephew? For if you and
- 11:02Speaker 1: Timmy are out and y'all get kidnapped and the ransomness
- 11:06Speaker 1: five million dollars a piece each? Uh? What? Let me
- 11:14Speaker 1: ask you a question? Where am I when you all
- 11:17Speaker 1: get kidnap? Let's say, Mexico? What does that make? What
- 11:24Speaker 1: is well? So he can thoroughly understand this answer, he's
- 11:30Speaker 1: gonna pay the ransom or not. It sounds like, well,
- 11:34Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say this right here. I would suggest
- 11:39Speaker 1: you start taking some type of course or class on
- 11:44Speaker 1: escape skille. I'm in Mexico, I'm still gonna be in Mexico,
- 11:55Speaker 1: and I'm probably gonna be playing golf, So I strongly yes,
- 12:00Speaker 1: let me let me give you some things you probably
- 12:02Speaker 1: need to work on. Cup escaping, squirming out of ropes.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Tommy is your nephew, how to que through twine? You're
- 12:14Speaker 1: coming to give me here coming your ability to snap

- 12:28Speaker 1: find out who you do skinned grass, because you're gonna
- 12:31Speaker 1: tell yourself. I'm trying to tell that all stuff. How
- 12:35Speaker 1: long are you gonna holding your breath underwater in case
- 12:38Speaker 1: somebody not some tea you and throw you over bell
- 12:42Speaker 1: And you need to watch all the Hudinity tapes. That's
- 12:49Speaker 1: ain't that's for junior. What about your nephew? That goes
- 12:57Speaker 1: for both of them. I'm not work, I'm not worried.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Well I am. Yeah, we're gonna be that million for
- 13:07Speaker 1: what because they know you have it? Tell them what
- 13:13Speaker 1: you're gonna say, we don't pay that much money on
- 13:15Speaker 1: your radio ship. This is just wrong. How go to
- 13:24Speaker 1: see you or either you better up and marry into
- 13:32Speaker 1: some other family. All right, thank god, it's time to go.
- 13:37Speaker 1: You're listening to show right now. It's time for the
- 13:42Speaker 1: nephew to run that prank back mister regg yet, okay,

- 13:53Speaker 1: trying to reach U de beyond you doing. Man, This
- 13:58Speaker 1: is mister Reggie. Have you heard of me before? No,
- 14:02Speaker 1: you don't, Franctic ring a bell or not. I'm a
- 14:04Speaker 1: friend of your of your mother's. I'm a friend of Yolanda's.
- 14:07Speaker 1: You're a friend of my mother's. Yeah, yeah, mister Reggie.
- 14:10Speaker 1: She's never she's never mentioned me before. No, she's okay,
- 14:13Speaker 1: everything cool? Oh no, no, no, your mom is good.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Let me let me tell you what's happened. So you
- 14:17Speaker 1: you're getting ready to graduate. You' feeling to get your masters? Right, yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 1: I'm giving my MBA. Okay, First of all, let me
- 14:21Speaker 1: just say congratulations to you. I'm proud of you. Your
- 14:24Speaker 1: mom been telling me about the whole journey, you know,
- 14:27Speaker 1: from from undergrad to getting your you know, you're getting
- 14:31Speaker 1: your masters in business. So I just want to come
- 14:33Speaker 1: in you and say congratulations. All right, thank you, brother,
- 14:36Speaker 1: I appreciate that. But your mom ain't never she ain't
- 14:38Speaker 1: never mentioned mister Reggie to you. Huh No, sorry, bro, Okay,
- 14:43Speaker 1: I got a little a situation that we got here. Man.
- 14:46Speaker 1: You know, I've been seeing your mom for probably you know,
- 14:48Speaker 1: five six years now, and I just that yeah. Yeah,
- 14:52Speaker 1: So it kind of puzzles me that she never brought
- 14:55Speaker 1: up mister Reggie to you. No. No, she never brought
- 14:57Speaker 1: up the name mister Reggie. You know I didn't even
- 15:00Speaker 1: she is dating. To be honest with you. Okay, So
- 15:02Speaker 1: when you started undergrad, I'm the person that you know,
- 15:06Speaker 1: stepped up and gave your mom some money so she
- 15:08Speaker 1: could put you through school. You know, I knew she
- 15:10Speaker 1: needed some money to get you through school and started out,
- 15:13Speaker 1: you know, like I guess, around your freshman year. So
- 15:15Speaker 1: I stepped up and you know, helped your mom out. Man.
- 15:18Speaker 1: This is bugged out, brother, because hold on, you're telling
- 15:21Speaker 1: me you gave my mother the money, because she told
- 15:23Speaker 1: me she got a couple of jobs on the side
- 15:25Speaker 1: to get the money that face for school. I'm the
- 15:28Speaker 1: person that stepped up and do your undergrad I'm the
- 15:32Speaker 1: one gave your mom the moneys for you can go
- 15:35Speaker 1: to school. And I knew when you graduated from undergrad.
- 15:39Speaker 1: And then she came back told me you getting ready
- 15:41Speaker 1: to do grad school, and I stepped up some more.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Here's one I'm getting that. Man. I'm not even calling
- 15:46Speaker 1: mister mister Reggie and called money when I get a job. No, no,
- 15:53Speaker 1: nothing like that. So here's a deal, man, I didn't
- 15:55Speaker 1: give your mom all this money for six years. Now
- 15:58Speaker 1: here it is. Now you've been to graduate, and now
- 16:00Speaker 1: that you from the graduation, she called herself want to
- 16:03Speaker 1: break up with me? So, bro, I mean, I don't
- 16:06Speaker 1: know nothing about that. That's between y'all. Bro, I mean,
- 16:08Speaker 1: what do you want me to do? What I wanted?
- 16:11Speaker 1: You heard your name before, so I mean, and I
- 16:13Speaker 1: understand that. But what I'm saying, what I'm getting that
- 16:15Speaker 1: is just right here. I would like for you to
- 16:17Speaker 1: least call your mama and say something to on my behalf,
- 16:20Speaker 1: because you know, come on, man, I didn't put six
- 16:22Speaker 1: years in put you all the way through school, and hey,
- 16:25Speaker 1: what tans me to sell your behalf? I really don't.
- 16:27Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know you. I mean, what do
- 16:30Speaker 1: you want me to say on your behalf? But you
- 16:31Speaker 1: don't understand what I'm trying to tell you. David, mister
- 16:34Speaker 1: Reggie and stuck his neck out for you for the
- 16:36Speaker 1: last six years. You see what I'm saying. Listen, man,
- 16:39Speaker 1: I don't even know you. You calling me out the blue,
- 16:42Speaker 1: talking about you gave my mama some money and then
- 16:43Speaker 1: went up for five years. I don't know you. I
- 16:46Speaker 1: never heard your name, never heard of mister Reggie. You
- 16:49Speaker 1: just called me out the blue. It's some trippy right now. Man. Okay, okay,
- 16:53Speaker 1: I understand, I understanding. Look at Salthor you call your
- 16:57Speaker 1: your ex. Girl's fun like, come on, hold on, hold on,
- 17:02Speaker 1: this ain't no ex girl. We we've been broke up
- 17:08Speaker 1: up up to lads week, up to last week. I
- 17:11Speaker 1: didn't pay for you to go to school six years.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Now here it is she want to break up with me.
- 17:15Speaker 1: I don't know about that, man, Like I don't know
- 17:17Speaker 1: why y'all broke up. I don't know nothing about that.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Maybe and then you called me out the blue and
- 17:21Speaker 1: I don't even know you. She never mentioned you at
- 17:24Speaker 1: least at least you can do. It's call on my
- 17:26Speaker 1: behalf and say, hey, what's going on with you? Nobody's
- 17:29Speaker 1: gonna have I don't know who you are. I'm the person.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I'm the person that put your little lass through schools. Hey,
- 17:35Speaker 1: the checks that went to the school. We had my
- 17:37Speaker 1: mama's name on him. Not no, damn mister Retgin. So Hey, bro,
- 17:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry, No, it ain't no he is what it is.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I don't put your little lands through school. Now, your
- 17:46Speaker 1: mamma want to run out on me, don't want to
- 17:48Speaker 1: date me? No, Mo, that's some boys right there, man,
- 17:51Speaker 1: and you need to have a little respect for somebody
- 17:53Speaker 1: that then took care your little last back. I don't
- 17:55Speaker 1: even know you. What are you talking about? For care
- 17:57Speaker 1: of y'all? Don't even know you? Who are you, mister Reggin?
- 18:00Speaker 1: What time? The name is that you usually go by
- 18:02Speaker 1: your last name Reggie, People go by my first name.
- 18:05Speaker 1: My first name is. My first name is Reginald. People
- 18:07Speaker 1: call me mister Reggie, and you're gonna do the same. No,
- 18:10Speaker 1: I just called you reg Man. Come on, redch I'm
- 18:13Speaker 1: good like I don't know what Okay, Let let let
- 18:15Speaker 1: me say this here. All I'm asking for. But you
- 18:19Speaker 1: need to call her and take care of this yourself.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Leave me out this, sorry, brothers. No, no, now, look here,
- 18:24Speaker 1: you owe me a little respect, and you owe me
- 18:26Speaker 1: at least you know whatever I'm asking you to do.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know who you are. You calling
- 18:32Speaker 1: me talking about called my mom when you used to date.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I don't know who you are you're talking about. I
- 18:36Speaker 1: owe you some respect? Are you crazy? You get my
- 18:40Speaker 1: number anyway you wish you want? My mama? I don't.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I been had your number. I've been had Joe number,
- 18:46Speaker 1: and I didn't spent I didn't spent thousands of thousands
- 18:49Speaker 1: of dollars on your little lads. I've been had your mother.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Come you how come you ain't come to the undergrad graduation?
- 18:53Speaker 1: What I need to come to that for? I did
- 18:55Speaker 1: my job. I took care of your little lands man.
- 18:57Speaker 1: You ain't take care man. You need to get the
- 18:59Speaker 1: shone off my phone. Bro Okay, you know what, I'm
- 19:01Speaker 1: gonna go by your mama house. I'm gonna go by there,
- 19:04Speaker 1: and you know what, I'm gonna deal with her ass today,
- 19:06Speaker 1: my damn sail. Look, I'm trying to be as respectfools.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I care. But if I hear about you going about

- 19:27Speaker 1: this phone, I'm gonna call and ask about for mister Reggie.
- 19:30Speaker 1: But there, I'm gonna you up. I'm going by your
- 19:34Speaker 1: mama house because you ain't gonna just break up me
- 19:36Speaker 1: up the six years I gotta put the little board
- 19:37Speaker 1: through schools. Well, that's what you get for being a sucker.
- 19:41Speaker 1: To sound like you up a victim of Well, I
- 19:45Speaker 1: know you ain't sitting here calling me no sucker. You
- 19:48Speaker 1: sound like a sucker. Let me hear you went by there.
- 19:52Speaker 1: It's gonna be a problem. It's gonna be some smoke
- 19:54Speaker 1: in the city. What about what about Jarvis? Jarvis? Jarvis
- 19:59Speaker 1: gotta do it a few up to you though by
- 20:01Speaker 1: there he grew up with my mother. How do you
- 20:03Speaker 1: know Jarvis anyway? Because job has called me. He told
- 20:07Speaker 1: me to call you. This is nephew Tommy from the
- 20:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by your
- 20:12Speaker 1: boy Jarvis. What hold what? Hold on? Hold on? Hold on?
- 20:22Speaker 1: Jarvis told you and called to say, you shall do
- 20:24Speaker 1: my mother and pay my way from college. Jars off
- 20:29Speaker 1: this man, Hey man, you gotta give it to me, baby,
- 20:34Speaker 1: give it to me, right, mister mba, you fend to
- 20:37Speaker 1: get you your paper in the next week. And so
- 20:39Speaker 1: what is the baddest and I mean the baddest radio
- 20:42Speaker 1: show in the land, Steve Harvey in the Water Show.
- 20:46Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. This is our time
- 20:50Speaker 1: for something funny. Uh Steve has uh my story a
- 20:54Speaker 1: story about mice out of Memphis, but some names have
- 20:58Speaker 1: been changed to protect the innocent. As a first, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 1: I was a young actor, wasn't in the business. Loan
- 21:06Speaker 1: had a friend of mine that lived in Memphis, this guy,
- 21:10Speaker 1: and so I had checked into a hotel down there.
- 21:13Speaker 1: But it was like really really messed up. It was
- 21:18Speaker 1: only like, you know, fourteen dollars a night. You know,
- 21:22Speaker 1: that was outside right now, and so yeah, yeah, I
- 21:27Speaker 1: could see the car call up to him. So I
- 21:31Speaker 1: called him on his house phone. I said, hey, man,
- 21:34Speaker 1: I'm in a bad place. Mentioned coming over to the house. Man,
- 21:36Speaker 1: My mama and em they don't mind you know, they
- 21:38Speaker 1: love you yourself. Something to eat. So I got over
- 21:41Speaker 1: there about ten thirty. His mama and him in the bed,
- 21:45Speaker 1: his brother on the couch sleep. I'm in the kitchen
- 21:48Speaker 1: with him. Were eating. So he said, hey, man, just
- 21:52Speaker 1: enjoy yourself. I'm going out. I said, man, I gotta
- 21:55Speaker 1: get up early in the morning, like about five in
- 21:57Speaker 1: the morning. Get back out on this road. I got
- 21:59Speaker 1: to drive somewhere. He said, no problem, man, you can
- 22:03Speaker 1: stay in my sister's bed because she gone. So I'm
- 22:06Speaker 1: in her sister bead a little bit of twin bad
- 22:10Speaker 1: and I hit eat nauses and my suitcase is on
- 22:14Speaker 1: the floor. Then I look and a mouse craws out
- 22:17Speaker 1: of my suitcase. Now I got to get up and unpack.
- 22:20Speaker 1: It's about one thirty. I got to unpack your suitcase open. Yeah,
- 22:25Speaker 1: I wasn't thinking another how the hell I know? So
- 22:28Speaker 1: now I got to unpack, shake out everything, make sure
- 22:31Speaker 1: I ain't got no mice in this luggage because I
- 22:33Speaker 1: can't put this in my car because I live in it,
- 22:36Speaker 1: but you can't live in is a mice and infested
- 22:38Speaker 1: car in the yeah, and I'm just driving the ass
- 22:43Speaker 1: cross country. I'm committing felling it. So I get up
- 22:51Speaker 1: and I said, man, let me go in the living room. Man,
- 22:54Speaker 1: what the hell going on? So I go in the
- 22:56Speaker 1: living room and I'm in a I'm in a I'm
- 22:58Speaker 1: in a chair and I hid it scratching by my head.
- 23:02Speaker 1: And I turned around and it's a mouse on the
- 23:06Speaker 1: top of the lazy boy chair by my head. Oh
- 23:10Speaker 1: my god, Oh my god. Now I just stood straight
- 23:12Speaker 1: up out of damn. Then touch the ceiling and I
- 23:17Speaker 1: had gnawed off. So that's about one thirty in the morning. Now, now,
- 23:20Speaker 1: my boy, he gone out. So I sit up and
- 23:22Speaker 1: I noticed this mouse run across the float from under
- 23:25Speaker 1: the couch to this big round coffee table the head
- 23:28Speaker 1: in the middle that was made out of fur, but
- 23:30Speaker 1: you can go up on that. I saw this mouse
- 23:32Speaker 1: run up under the tab. I said, man, it's one
- 23:36Speaker 1: on the back of the chair. One on table. I said,
- 23:38Speaker 1: what I'm any damn might sitting here. So then the
- 23:41Speaker 1: mouse just shot across the TV, just ran across the
- 23:44Speaker 1: damn TV. There's flow model I said, So I got here,
- 23:50Speaker 1: had a fold away chair against the wall, you know
- 23:52Speaker 1: the metal fold away chairs. They have a church. So
- 23:54Speaker 1: I got a metal fold away chair and put it up,
- 23:57Speaker 1: and I got another one from my feet to get
- 23:59Speaker 1: up in, and I put my foot up in his chair.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I swear to God, I'm not lying to you at all.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Them damn mice was everywhere. They started running across the floor.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I said, man, is it one thirty end? Is it?
- 24:17Speaker 1: Is this? The prime gonna ask him about that? They
- 24:21Speaker 1: was running across the floor. Man. They was crawling all
- 24:24Speaker 1: up on the backs of the chairs. And I look
- 24:26Speaker 1: up on top of the curtain and it's two mice
- 24:29Speaker 1: on top of the curtain. So I look at the curtains,
- 24:31Speaker 1: and the curtains is moving. The mice is crawling up
- 24:35Speaker 1: the back of the curtains, up on the top rod.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Now his brother is on the brother brother. No no, no,
- 24:44Speaker 1: no, no no, no no, yeah. Yeah. My boy's brother was
- 24:48Speaker 1: on the couch sleep his little brother. He's sixteen. The
- 24:53Speaker 1: mice all over the couch. They on his show. He
- 24:58Speaker 1: ain't woke up. Now I'm looking at it. I'm so
- 25:00Speaker 1: scared for this boy, I said, man, it's actually enough
- 25:04Speaker 1: of a motor and they could really start eating your way.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Now you'd be able to get him in time because
- 25:10Speaker 1: they just mic. But these mics up and I killed y'all.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Not I've never seen nothing like it in my life.
- 25:17Speaker 1: And I had my feet up in the fol away
- 25:19Speaker 1: check because I'm going, man, what the hell is going on?
- 25:22Speaker 1: And my eyes is burning because I can't blink because
- 25:26Speaker 1: I can't take my eyes off there my eyes. But
- 25:31Speaker 1: if I ever needed visine I needed. I was mortified,
- 25:38Speaker 1: miceless across that float, climbing up on this couch over
- 25:41Speaker 1: there on that boy's shoulder, then that nam and I
- 25:44Speaker 1: just see him brush something. There ain't no fly brushing
- 25:50Speaker 1: like them. Its mosquito. We wake your ass up and
- 25:53Speaker 1: help me through this. Help. So I wanted to wake
- 25:58Speaker 1: him up, man, because I needed some help to understand this.
- 26:01Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, I've never seen that many mice
- 26:04Speaker 1: in my life. And I mean they just running back
- 26:07Speaker 1: and forth all on over the furniture across the TV.
- 26:11Speaker 1: So about two thirty five in the morning, about three
- 26:14Speaker 1: I've been up the whole time. I ain't slept with
- 26:17Speaker 1: when I'm scared to take my foot off the shell yeah, yeah,
- 26:22Speaker 1: the key stick in the dough. It's my boy. He
- 26:25Speaker 1: coming back in. He put the key in the door
- 26:29Speaker 1: and turned the lock. He opened the door. Hey, man,
- 26:34Speaker 1: what's happening? What a mouse? No, damn, you can't explain it, don't.
- 26:44Speaker 1: I'm looking at him, man, he say, He say, he's
- 26:48Speaker 1: a love. What's happening? Man? I said, you know what
- 26:51Speaker 1: the hell happened? He said, what's wrong? I said, Man,
- 26:56Speaker 1: you see hate him mouse? No, I smell you're looking
- 27:03Speaker 1: over what I said? They all up on the curtain curtains.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Ain't they've been running up under a mouse. No, damn,
- 27:15Speaker 1: like a dream, brother, sleep like Ain't nothing wrong about
- 27:19Speaker 1: three thirty three, three o'clock in the morning. He came
- 27:21Speaker 1: and he said, yeah, bro, I'm hugged as here. You
- 27:25Speaker 1: want something to eat by? No, not this album, I said,
- 27:30Speaker 1: I tell you what I'm gonna do. Man, I'm gonna
- 27:32Speaker 1: get in my car. I got to take off. Man,
- 27:34Speaker 1: I got a head in the brass. Oh man, I
- 27:36Speaker 1: thought you're gonna leave a little bit late. Don't worry
- 27:38Speaker 1: about that. I'm gonna sleep in my damn car. And
- 27:40Speaker 1: I need to get my car to the driveway because
- 27:42Speaker 1: they're probably climbing up that right. Wow, you're listening show,
- 27:55Speaker 1: but you got Carla. Okay, so listen to this, Steve.
- 27:59Speaker 1: My friends are out of us AP parents. You know,
- 28:01Speaker 1: we hang out, we do things together with our children.
- 28:03Speaker 1: So the latest discussion, you know, we have young kids,
- 28:07Speaker 1: So the latest discussion is you're an expert at this.
- 28:13Speaker 1: At what age should you teach your child how to cuss, curse,
- 28:21Speaker 1: or say bad words. Well, you shouldn't teach them. There's
- 28:25Speaker 1: no age when you should teach them bad words because
- 28:29Speaker 1: bad words are not necessary. It all depends on circumstance
- 28:33Speaker 1: and environment. Cusin is an environmental, circumstantial thing that you
- 28:39Speaker 1: have to be able to participate in. And every circumstance
- 28:42Speaker 1: and all environments do not require cussing. You need to
- 28:46Speaker 1: be able. So it's not a good time for the
- 28:49Speaker 1: situations will bring out the child when it's necessary. So
- 28:54Speaker 1: it's not for you to decide I'm gonna teach my
- 28:56Speaker 1: child cousin. I never taught any of my kids to cousin.
- 28:59Speaker 1: My father never taught me to cut. I just picked
- 29:02Speaker 1: it up. Okay, so you overheard it and the decision
- 29:09Speaker 1: to use cussing a little bit more regularly. Was somewhere
- 29:14Speaker 1: around nine. Yes, nine is when I started implementing me.
- 29:22Speaker 1: By twelve, I was you know, I wasn't. It wasn't
- 29:25Speaker 1: really farm good. It wasn't. I was just throwing it
- 29:29Speaker 1: out there. But I had a lot more situations, and
- 29:32Speaker 1: all I got the more useful and more timely and
- 29:35Speaker 1: more situations presented themselves. So that's how I did it.
- 29:39Speaker 1: So I don't say that there's an age that you
- 29:41Speaker 1: give a child, Okay, And here's why I'm asking this
- 29:43Speaker 1: because I know a lot of people look uncomfortable with
- 29:46Speaker 1: this question. But it's a different time for these kids
- 29:50Speaker 1: and going into middle school. It's just been tough with
- 29:53Speaker 1: a group of people that we hang with with their kids.
- 29:56Speaker 1: So they were saying they wanted to teach their children
- 29:59Speaker 1: how to say blank, you be get out of my
- 30:01Speaker 1: face in a situation of bullying. So, yeah them that
- 30:09Speaker 1: I don't. I don't think it's necessary. See you are,
- 30:13Speaker 1: here's the problem calling your little crew that y'all go
- 30:17Speaker 1: to school with. Y'all suburban parents, y'all parents, y'all from
- 30:23Speaker 1: the hoods. Yeah, but y'all have become suburbanized and you
- 30:28Speaker 1: all are suburban parents. So now you've you've trying to
- 30:32Speaker 1: remain bullshy and you're trying to live up to your
- 30:37Speaker 1: status status in life now. But you're calling and you're
- 30:44Speaker 1: trying to know when to implement hood ism into your kids.
- 30:49Speaker 1: And your kids don't really need that, and so you've
- 30:54Speaker 1: got to teach them other ways. I don't recommend teaching seriously,
- 30:58Speaker 1: do not recommend teaching two kids, because I mean, it's
- 31:02Speaker 1: gonna backfire here. Yeah, you know, I mean you don't
- 31:06Speaker 1: teach them negative behave Now. Did I teach my children
- 31:09Speaker 1: take care of themselves? Yeah? But I found out I
- 31:11Speaker 1: was doing it for no reason. Somebody hit you. Everybody
- 31:15Speaker 1: go down there. My kids ain't down the street fighting
- 31:18Speaker 1: and then come home and you go getting all your
- 31:20Speaker 1: brothers and go back down there. What kids. On the
- 31:22Speaker 1: matter of fact, the house too damn far away. They're
- 31:25Speaker 1: not in six Flags like China, right See. I wanted
- 31:29Speaker 1: to tell my sons that, But they went to school
- 31:31Speaker 1: where they ain't fighting. They ain't fighting you. They talk
- 31:37Speaker 1: about your own own instagrams. My daddy took me to
- 31:45Speaker 1: get mad with my kid said that was your training.
- 31:48Speaker 1: That was that My daddy took me over there because
- 31:50Speaker 1: they weren't fighting in my neighborhood, but over there, my
- 31:52Speaker 1: cousin everything every said by twelve thirty, Yeah, get my
- 31:56Speaker 1: butt tore up. You grow up. It's like you said,
- 32:01Speaker 1: how we grew up and how we're parenting and how
- 32:03Speaker 1: our children are growing up. It's it's two different worlds,
- 32:06Speaker 1: and it's and it's some parenting that just doesn't apply today,
- 32:10Speaker 1: and then a lot of it does. But you all
- 32:13Speaker 1: have removed it because of your new way. But your
- 32:16Speaker 1: kids are suburban kids. So when the bulleting goes down
- 32:20Speaker 1: at school, how do you teach them how to cuss?
- 32:22Speaker 1: You ain't gotta teach them how to cuss. You gotta
- 32:25Speaker 1: get the bullet out your face. You don't get the
- 32:28Speaker 1: bullet out your face by cussing. There's a physical activity
- 32:32Speaker 1: that can get the bullet out. Now, if you don't
- 32:35Speaker 1: want to teach the physical activity, then you got to
- 32:39Speaker 1: go with something else. But bullets don't respond to get
- 32:43Speaker 1: your blankety blank out my blankety blank. They don't be
- 32:45Speaker 1: cause they bullies. They don't. They wan't told you I've
- 32:50Speaker 1: been to put my blankety blank in your blankety black.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Now what's your comeback? See, it's hard to outcuss some bullet.
- 33:02Speaker 1: So you gotta teach your children the other things. But
- 33:04Speaker 1: I don't recommend teaching your children how to talk bad
- 33:07Speaker 1: to people because that doesn't work because it's just talk
- 33:11Speaker 1: and eventually it once you talk bad, you had to
- 33:14Speaker 1: bag some of it up. So did your parents had
- 33:17Speaker 1: put motivation behind you behind the bulley, like if you
- 33:20Speaker 1: don't wove his I'm yeah, that was the motivation I
- 33:24Speaker 1: had again. Yeah, yeah, what you're crying for? Yeah yeah,
- 33:32Speaker 1: come home crying one. I'm gonna give you something to
- 33:35Speaker 1: cry about. Then I'm gonna take you down there. My
- 33:38Speaker 1: brothers then took me back down the street to fight Manny.
- 33:43Speaker 1: Me and Manny. Me and Manny got in four fights
- 33:45Speaker 1: in one day. Me and Manny was through with it. Manny,
- 33:50Speaker 1: my boy manner. He didn't hitting the picture right up
- 33:52Speaker 1: there to dude with the hat on with the gold
- 33:54Speaker 1: jackets standing that where they named in my street, my
- 33:56Speaker 1: boy Manny. We fought full time. Once me and Manny
- 33:59Speaker 1: was through at the first part, our brothers and sisters
- 34:03Speaker 1: got involved. Ah. Then they were beefing is roswhoo. Bought
- 34:10Speaker 1: Manny back up to my house to beat me up. Wow,
- 34:14Speaker 1: big roll huh. Bought Manny up there to be whoop
- 34:18Speaker 1: man ad. Now, Manny whooped me the first time. I'm
- 34:21Speaker 1: through you win, Manny. We friends. But since she brought
- 34:26Speaker 1: him up to my house and my daddy was on
- 34:28Speaker 1: the porch watching, I gott to ten minute egs. All right, listen,
- 34:34Speaker 1: coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 34:37Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Happy June teenth, and Happy Father's Day to all of
- 34:45Speaker 1: the dad's out there, to the ones we work with
- 34:48Speaker 1: right here in the studio. That's Steve, Jay and Tommy Well,

- 35:29Speaker 1: Jude tenth. We're still in the field picking cotton when
- 35:34Speaker 1: they knew dwn where we was free. If you think

- 35:41Speaker 1: How to hell you keep a secret like that? The
- 35:44Speaker 1: only reason you could hold us down because you were
- 35:47Speaker 1: standing on our backs June tenth, June teint, June tenth.
- 35:51Speaker 1: It's the day we celebrate. But it's one thing I
- 35:54Speaker 1: know for sure. You can never get good news too late.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Joe Tain't June tenth, June tenth. The end, that's my
- 36:03Speaker 1: favorite part, the end. I'm clutching my pearls right and
- 36:09Speaker 1: I don't even wear that was due du city. When
- 36:16Speaker 1: they was running through the city. They run through the

- 37:23Speaker 1: pops in mind. I'll forgive you for saying you were

- 38:04Speaker 1: spun the wheel where the wheel stops. Because we are comedians,
- 38:08Speaker 1: we can make the damn thing funny. Watches Watches all right,
- 38:14Speaker 1: Here are today's categories. Number one things people say when
- 38:18Speaker 1: they don't know they are on speaker phone, things your mate.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Things your mate has that you wish they would throw away.
- 38:33Speaker 1: And then how about this one. Things that a friend
- 38:36Speaker 1: says to embarrass you. Oh wow, those are three good ones.
- 38:40Speaker 1: Ready yet away? Throw away? Yeah? Oh no, it stopped on.

- 51:36Speaker 1: All right, thank you, nephew. I'm gonna try to get
- 51:38Speaker 1: through this all right. Subject? Am I trifling or ungrateful?
- 51:42Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I am a forty two year old
- 51:45Speaker 1: single mother and I have two teenage children that live
- 51:48Speaker 1: with me. At my age, I wanted to become a
- 51:51Speaker 1: homeowner and stop renting, so I started looking for an
- 51:54Speaker 1: affordable place to buy. My mom recently received a financial blessing,
- 51:59Speaker 1: so she offered me to buy me a house. So
- 52:02Speaker 1: she offered to buy me a house. Hesitantly, I agreed.
- 52:05Speaker 1: I found a small, affordable home and my mother bought it.
- 52:10Speaker 1: I pay the mortgage, but the house is in my
- 52:13Speaker 1: mom's name, which is why I was hesitant. To go
- 52:17Speaker 1: through with the deal. I should have followed my first mind,
- 52:21Speaker 1: because since I have moved in, I have not had
- 52:24Speaker 1: any peace in my home. On several occasions, I came
- 52:27Speaker 1: home to find that my mother had put pictures on
- 52:30Speaker 1: the wall, put up curtains, and bought pieces of furniture
- 52:34Speaker 1: from my house. She is a thrifty shopper, so I
- 52:38Speaker 1: don't like any of the design choices she has made.
- 52:41Speaker 1: One day, she dropped off ten vases and told me
- 52:44Speaker 1: she planned to keep fresh flowers in them and put
- 52:47Speaker 1: them throughout my house to liven it up. She comes
- 52:50Speaker 1: over every other day and she stays overnight too. This
- 52:54Speaker 1: is unacceptable, so I had to tell her that enough
- 52:58Speaker 1: is enough. I asked her to please text or call
- 53:01Speaker 1: me before coming by. She made sure to remind me
- 53:04Speaker 1: that it's her house, that it's her house. She called
- 53:09Speaker 1: me an ungrateful half of day and said I was
- 53:14Speaker 1: trifling for not appreciating the way she's trying to help
- 53:17Speaker 1: me to decorate the house. I haven't talked to her,
- 53:20Speaker 1: nor have I seen her in a week, so I
- 53:24Speaker 1: guess it worked. I don't want to be at odds
- 53:26Speaker 1: with my mom. I'm very grateful for all she's done,
- 53:29Speaker 1: but I need her to respect my space. Am I wrong?
- 53:32Speaker 1: Please help? No, you're not wrong. You are absolutely not wrong,
- 53:37Speaker 1: especially you know, as long as you spoke to your
- 53:39Speaker 1: mom in a respectful way, and it sounds like you did.
- 53:42Speaker 1: But boy, this is really a case for going with
- 53:45Speaker 1: your first mind, for going with your gut here. This
- 53:49Speaker 1: has got to be in the top five of that.
- 53:51Speaker 1: You know, you knew it would be a problem though,
- 53:54Speaker 1: which is why you said you were hesitant in the
- 53:56Speaker 1: first place. But that down payment, your mama's money, was
- 54:02Speaker 1: dangling in your face, so you went forward. The lesson
- 54:04Speaker 1: for you here is you know you should have got
- 54:07Speaker 1: your name on the house as well. You know, yeah,
- 54:09Speaker 1: your mom paid the down payment, but you could have
- 54:11Speaker 1: put your name on the deed um. Surely after portrait
- 54:16Speaker 1: you could have done like a quick claim um, you know, transaction,
- 54:20Speaker 1: or just waited until you came up with the money
- 54:23Speaker 1: for your own house. You could have done that because
- 54:26Speaker 1: you've been looking for a while. You could have been
- 54:27Speaker 1: a little more patient. I understand you wanted to get
- 54:30Speaker 1: the house so and you found oneed it was right
- 54:32Speaker 1: there and your mom was there. But in the meantime, yes,
- 54:36Speaker 1: your mom is order order. Uh. When you know, when
- 54:39Speaker 1: you give someone a gift, you don't hover it over them,
- 54:42Speaker 1: you know, and and and invade their space like your
- 54:45Speaker 1: mom's doing. Constantly remind you that is her house. That's
- 54:48Speaker 1: not right. I mean, she's throwing it up in your
- 54:50Speaker 1: face every chance she gets. Furthermore, you're paying the mortgage,
- 54:54Speaker 1: you are, so it's it is your house. I'm glad
- 54:58Speaker 1: she's decided to remove her herself off from the situation
- 55:01Speaker 1: and you could probably you know, a little later on.
- 55:03Speaker 1: Give it some time, caller and you know, make your apologies.
- 55:07Speaker 1: You guys, make up. She's your mom. She's not going anywhere.
- 55:10Speaker 1: But yeah, she's wrong to do all of this. I mean,
- 55:12Speaker 1: nice to help you, but wrong as far as this
- 55:15Speaker 1: is concerned. Steve, Well, anytime, y'all ready for me to
- 55:20Speaker 1: make the clear fine statement of this letter. Please stop
- 55:23Speaker 1: me in the middle of it and ask me at
- 55:26Speaker 1: any time, Steve, do you have a clear fine statement?
- 55:30Speaker 1: And I'm gonna make it. Let's start with the letter
- 55:33Speaker 1: forty two single mama, two teenage children. You know she
- 55:38Speaker 1: always thought that body and she'd be at home on
- 55:40Speaker 1: the most people do. That's a great goal in life.
- 55:42Speaker 1: You know, be at home on and stop written. So
- 55:45Speaker 1: you start looking for an affordable place. Your mom ran
- 55:48Speaker 1: into so a financial blessing. See now here we go,
- 55:51Speaker 1: let's start. This is a financial blessing. All your problems
- 55:59Speaker 1: started with what you considered a blessing. See careful, your
- 56:08Speaker 1: mama came up with a financial blessing. It's wasn't yours.
- 56:15Speaker 1: It's wasn't them kids, it's when your dad is. It's
- 56:18Speaker 1: what none of your siblings. Your mama had a financial blessing.
- 56:23Speaker 1: So she offered to buy me a house. Hesitantly, I agreed.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Why why would you hesitantly agree? But you found a small,
- 56:34Speaker 1: affordable home and my mother bought it. Your mama bought it.
- 56:39Speaker 1: I pay the mortgage, but the house is in my
- 56:46Speaker 1: mama name. Now, if your mother was truly buying you
- 56:51Speaker 1: the house, why wouldn't she just give you the down
- 56:55Speaker 1: payment and let you own the house. That is because
- 57:00Speaker 1: this was never the intention. Shit just gonna let you
- 57:06Speaker 1: stay down right, which is why I was hesitant to
- 57:11Speaker 1: go through the deal. I should have followed my first mind.
- 57:15Speaker 1: I have not had any peace in my home. It's
- 57:18Speaker 1: cause it ain't choice. See, let's just gonna get to
- 57:22Speaker 1: this right. On several occasions, I came home find my
- 57:24Speaker 1: mother had put pictures on the walls and curtain and
- 57:26Speaker 1: bart places furniture in her house from my house. That's
- 57:30Speaker 1: causes her house. Hang on, Steve, we'll have part two
- 57:33Speaker 1: of your responses anytime y'all want to clear fine statement
- 57:36Speaker 1: when we come back. Just as I'm gonna ask you,
- 57:39Speaker 1: We'll be back in twenty three after the hour with
- 57:41Speaker 1: today's Strawberry letters? Subject Am I trifling or ungrateful? Right
- 57:45Speaker 1: after this you're listening to show? All right, Steve, let's
- 57:51Speaker 1: recap today's strawberry letters. The recap is simpleness. Woman over
- 57:55Speaker 1: here for the two got these kids always wanted to
- 57:57Speaker 1: own the house. So mama ran into a financial bless
- 58:00Speaker 1: a gift from God hallelujah. Yeah, and her mama decided
- 58:06Speaker 1: she'd help her daughter out by buying her house. So
- 58:09Speaker 1: she bought the house. She paid a mortgage, but it's
- 58:12Speaker 1: in her mama's name, which is why she was hesitating
- 58:14Speaker 1: in the first place. Let's go over what I said.
- 58:16Speaker 1: I have not had any peace in my home. What
- 58:19Speaker 1: that cause? It ain't choice? On several cases, I can't
- 58:21Speaker 1: home find my mother put pips on the wall and
- 58:23Speaker 1: put up curtains and bought piece of furniture from my house.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Excuse me her house. She's a thrifty shopper, so I
- 58:30Speaker 1: don't like any design choices she made. One day, she
- 58:32Speaker 1: dropped off ten vasines, told me she planned to keep
- 58:34Speaker 1: fresh flowers in them and put them throughout my house
- 58:37Speaker 1: to liven it up. She wonna put it in her
- 58:40Speaker 1: house and they ain't gonna stay live. You're gonna have
- 58:42Speaker 1: a bunch of dad had flowers and she comes over.
- 58:47Speaker 1: You want it anytime you want it? What's the clarifying statement?
- 58:52Speaker 1: Can't let black people put their name on nothing? This
- 58:58Speaker 1: is what? This is a bye. You can't let black
- 59:03Speaker 1: people put their name on nothing and then try to
- 59:08Speaker 1: act like they ain't got no say something. Huh. That's
- 59:11Speaker 1: the clarifying statement. I'll give it to you anytime you
- 59:14Speaker 1: want it. Here's another one. She come over every day.
- 59:17Speaker 1: She stadis overnight too, because she at her house. This
- 59:22Speaker 1: is unacceptable and unacceptable to who my name on you
- 59:27Speaker 1: what you don't like it? So I had to tell
- 59:31Speaker 1: that enough is enough. I ask her to please text
- 59:34Speaker 1: to call me before coming by. Why I gotta call
- 59:36Speaker 1: you to come back my house. She may show to
- 59:42Speaker 1: remind me that it is her house. She got. She
- 59:45Speaker 1: can't a deed with them. Huh, can you make a
- 59:48Speaker 1: clarifying statement. You can't let black people put their name
- 59:52Speaker 1: on nothing, lease, nothing, not the least the mortgage. They
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: can't co sign, no damn low. They can't rich you,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: no damn car. You can't let the ass man by
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: you a car. They can't rind a car. They can't
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: get your truck to move in. You ain't packing all
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: that stuff in that truck. I got the card back description.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: You can't get in forscription you I need to it impels.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: You can't do nothing. You can't put that black people
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: put their name on nothing. I've been been around black
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: people my whole life. I'll be six or two years
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: old in a minute. I've been black the whole time.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: All my relatives is black, ever the last one of them.
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: You can't let them put their damn name on nothing.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: She called me ungrateful. Help for that's death, the beginning.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: That's old. Now is you ungrateful? Help for you? You wait,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: you get to the reunion and find out what your
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: plans really is. You can't let black people put their
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: name on nothing, and you're not fitting to hear about it.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: You can best to believe this thing, and said I
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: was trifling and for not appreciating the way she was
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: trying to help me decorate the house. That nobody want
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: all the old A declarations in here, because mamma, you
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: old got all these blue farm plates sitting up on
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: top of the mantel pieces. Got that bit giant wooden
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: spooning fuck on the wall, Yes, yes, coming in here.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: I'm hearing my daddy in here hamming walnut paneling up
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: on the wall. Mama, whom who arted this shag? Cop?
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: Why is it a rak in the corner? Mama? Where
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: you get that fun? That's a TV stand, baby, but
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: TV for the color TV to sit he My mama
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: wanted a flash screen. You flash screens is the devil?
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Hows all that little stuff coming out of that flash screen?
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: They ain't nothing? But that's say you're gonna get a
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: picture tube. It's what you need. Christians. Christians have picture too.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I haven't talked to her, nor have I seen her
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: in a week. Well, hell, that's lucky shit coming back though.
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: You can't believe I haven't talked to her, nor seen
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: her in a week. Oh she got she getting a lawyer?
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: What chi getting a lawyer? When you come over there,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: you're gonna have fiction notices and people gonna be saying
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: good body, And so I guess it worked. Ain't nothing worth.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: Her name is still on a damn d I don't
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: want to be at os with my mama. I am
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: very grateful for all she's done, but I need her
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: to respect my space and my wrong. You ain't got
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: no space. I just told you you can't put people's
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: name nothing. That's that's her TV, that's her room, that's
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: that's poach, that's our tree. Long can black people rint
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: you a rule? If they rinch you a rule, you
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: might come home and don't be no dough on it.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: And I'm gonna tell you another statement to pope. People
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: don't share good. I just want to let you know

- 1:06:23Speaker 1: But next week you're listening to show. All right, guys,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: here's a question for you. Is it possible to be
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: too tired to go to sleep? Uh, It's perfectly possible
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: to feel tired and at the same time have trouble
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: dozing off. Certain life stresses and health problems can leave
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: us feeling exhausted, but at the same time make it
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: difficult to relax and go to sleep. Also, missing out
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: on sleep can disrupt our natural rhythms. Which can make
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: us feel wide awake when we usually be sleeping. So
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: here's the question. Have you ever been too tired to sleep?
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I've heard people say that before. I'm just I'm I
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: was so tired I couldn't even sleep. What do you
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: think cause that? Well, I know for a fact you
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: can be tired and not be sleepy. And then sometimes, man,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: you can. You I've done myself like that many times.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: I just pushed myself to the edge and then it's
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: so much adrenaline that it takes a while for the
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: adrenaline to go because you've just been exerting yourself. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: you know, and then that adrenaline is flowing and you're
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: up in your hype because man, it's sometimes, like Tommy
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Junior tell you, after the show is kind of hard.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: It's kind of hard to go to see you still
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: excite it. Yeah, you're tired, Yeah, just yeah done? A
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: show is running. Yeah, So what do you do in
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: that case when you know you have to get some rest?
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: I passed his bags all missed this flight? What I did?
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: And you sleep on the plane? Yeah, I try to
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: get sleep on the plane. Love sleeping on the plane. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: But Steve when you're not too tired and you're getting
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: and you look forward to that sleep, And how do
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: you sleep? You know you're about tom I'm I'm talking
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: about when I know I'm sleeping, like you know, like
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: I'll be talking to somebody and be looking dead at
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: their ass, but don't but don't be listening, right, but
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: be rocking back and forth just a little bit, you know,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: but not side to side, back and forth like closer
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: to him, fall away, close to him, fall away, and
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: just be rocking like that, so it don't look because
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you don't want to rock side to side because that
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: throw people off. But when you rock towards them, that
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: just lures them in. And they be just talking and
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I don't be hearing nothing. They say, I've shut my
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: eyes completely. While somebody was talking at Lady one time
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: at this meeting. She was talking and I was just
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: looking at how rocking I fell asleep. She said, are
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: you okay? I'm fine? You right? What's wrong with you? See?
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: I really think you hold the record of getting on
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: the plane and falling asleep the fastest. Yeah. Yeah, but
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: I go to sleep on the plane and the heartbeat,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: I don't guess you will, Oh, no no no no no,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: no no no, said the Entertainer's boy KB KP KB
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: KB snor we on plane one time, king to him.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: KB was snoring so loud. The white dude next to
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: him said, hey, are you serious? Are you really serious?
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: So k KB saying, hey, man, my bad, but I
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: do snore. So Kaby went back in again. Now we
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: crossed the aisle, KB snowing so loud. We on the
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: other side of the aisle me and said, just holly.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: The white dude said, oh my god, for crying out loud, mister,
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: can you please set up KB? Tell me? KB said, hey, man,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: I just told you I snore, so listen to this
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: right here. If you wake me up one more time,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: you ain't gonna believe what else I do a loud too,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: because my ass whipping skills is just as loud as
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: my soul source. So Kaby went back over there, and
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: ten minutes later k be with ripping them in again.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: That dude got up out of class and went back
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: in coach and said, ann, wows all right, coming up

- 1:17:26Speaker 1: his mind has gone, Junior, Solf, the better to see you,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: my dad. The other day, I was talking about finding
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: the motivation to never give up, because it's such an
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: important thing, man, just the fact that you don't quit,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: that you don't give up on your visions, your dreams,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: your goals, your aspiration, and you have to find the
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: motivation to do it. But you also have to remember
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: that doing good is the right thing to do. And
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: a lot of times, I know, man, you get tired
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: of doing good because it seems like it's no payoff.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: There's a scripture I was reading the other day, Galatians
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: six nine, and it was saying for us to not
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: become weary in doing good, for at the proper time,
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: we will reap a harvest if we don't give up.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: And that's such an important thing, man, because sometimes it's
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: hard to keep doing the right thing, especially when you're
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: being done wrong. It's hard to keep doing the right
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: thing and you don't see the payoff right after you
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: do the right thing. It's hard to do the right
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: thing when everybody else seems to be getting away with
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: something wrong. So it makes it hard to continue to
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: do the right thing. But you have to have the
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: faith that you're doing the right thing, and you can't
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: become weary in doing good, because, like the Bible says,
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: at the proper time, you're gonna reap a harvest if
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: you don't give up. Do you understand how true that
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: statement is. That's a promise of God that if you
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: don't get tired and stop doing what's good, that eventually
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: you're going to reap a harvest by just not giving up.
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: That is a benefit to doing what's good. That is
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: a reward for doing things that's good. You have no
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: idea how many seeds you're planning when you do something good.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: You have to you don't even know where they're gonna
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: crop up, pop up where you're gonna harvest them later.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: It may not be even in the same field you
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: plan it. I was somewhere one day and I was
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: going down the street and a girl had a flat tied,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: young girl, and I just thought of one of my daughters. Man,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: so I stopped. I just happened to be driving that day.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: It was years ago in LA and I stopped and
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: I helped this little girl. And she was on side
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: of the road just crying. She had a flat tie.
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: She didn't know what to do, and so I still there,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: made a phone call, got told truck to come. She
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: didn't have the money. I kind of somehow got it
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: too tire station. I bought the new ties for boom,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: fixed her up. She went home. She called her father.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: She said, Steve Harvey bought me tirees for my car.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: I ain't think none. The brother thanked me. Years later,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: I was on the golf course, years later. I'm talking
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: about like five six years ago, and this happened like early,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: like in two thousand, so probably around twenty fifteen, sixteen
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: something like that. I'm playing golf and this guy comes up,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: Tim and he tells me the story about this girl
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: and it was his daughter, and he just told me
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: about it, and he hugged me. He said, man, I
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: wanted to thank y'all talk to you on the phone.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: But man, we finally meet Miles, hoping I'll see you
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: at this tournament. And so he hugged me, and you know,
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: didn't think none of it. Next thing, you know, come
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: to find out he worked for a high level company.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: The company calls me and the company wants me to
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: do a deal with him. I signed and did to
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: deal with the company. It was all because one day
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: I stopped and I helped the girl that I just
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: saw in distress because I just thought, man, this could
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: be one of my daughters on the side of his role.
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: And she told her father, and her father did a
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: deal with me that turned out to be a very
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: very beneficial deal. You can't ever get tired of doing
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: what's right, because in due time you will reap a
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: harvest if you never give up. That's a promise from God.
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: Keep doing the right thing, y'all. You will benefit from it.
