- 2:07Speaker 1: I sure will a good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:10Speaker 1: the voice, Come on, dig me now, one and only
- 2:14Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, I got a radio show, just trying to
- 2:18Speaker 1: give God some back, just some back of what even
- 2:24Speaker 1: gave me, just a portion, you know. Just I'm just trying,
- 2:29Speaker 1: man to to to show some type of gratitude for
- 2:34Speaker 1: all his blessings. I'm just trying to, man, just just
- 2:40Speaker 1: get it right sometimes, you know what I mean. I mean, man,
- 2:43Speaker 1: you just can't. I just can't do what you wanna
- 2:45Speaker 1: do and just live wrong all the time. Man, you
- 2:48Speaker 1: got it at one point in time, Steve, come home. Man,
- 2:51Speaker 1: come on, man, you could do better. I know you can.
- 2:54Speaker 1: You know saying and and you know what I had
- 2:56Speaker 1: to do. I had to stop saying I'm gonna try
- 2:59Speaker 1: to do better, and I just had to say, hey, man,
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'm going to do better. You know, trying it's just
- 3:05Speaker 1: to put forth and that and then if it don't work, well, okay.
- 3:09Speaker 1: But if you make up in your mind and I'm
- 3:10Speaker 1: going to do something, then trying isn't enough. It's getting
- 3:15Speaker 1: it done is the only thing that matters. See, it's
- 3:17Speaker 1: the difference between doing and trying. We're gonna try to
- 3:20Speaker 1: win the game or we're gonna go out here to
- 3:22Speaker 1: win the game. Now, trying to win the game means
- 3:25Speaker 1: that you could lose. But when you got in your
- 3:28Speaker 1: mind made up, most athletes will tell you that they
- 3:31Speaker 1: go out there with the full intent and purpose of
- 3:34Speaker 1: winning and winning. Only see they don't put the second
- 3:37Speaker 1: place finish on the cover Sports Illustrated. Second place don't
- 3:41Speaker 1: get you there. You you got to win. And now
- 3:44Speaker 1: take it out of the scope of athletics, but keep
- 3:47Speaker 1: it in that type of type of analogy in life. Man,
- 3:50Speaker 1: you just wanna you want to win in life, don't you.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I mean, at the end of the day, don't you
- 3:55Speaker 1: want to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated The Life.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Don't you want to be recognized for your hard work?
- 4:01Speaker 1: Don't you want, you know, to be recognized within the
- 4:04Speaker 1: bonus structure down at your job. Don't you want to
- 4:07Speaker 1: have your plaque up on the wall down at your job.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I mean most people do. Some people could care less.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Some people don't care about looking good or being their best,
- 4:15Speaker 1: And that's cool. But I ain't talking to them though.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I'm talking to you. I'm talking to those of you
- 4:20Speaker 1: who who who want to be the best you can be.
- 4:23Speaker 1: You know, people people kill me when they're getting mad
- 4:26Speaker 1: at at people here and he Brown knows and he
- 4:29Speaker 1: all up on the employee of the moth Man, the
- 4:31Speaker 1: dude doing his job to the best of his ability
- 4:33Speaker 1: and he getting recognized for it. What that got to
- 4:35Speaker 1: do with all that you're talking about because you ain't
- 4:37Speaker 1: up there. It's amazing, man, how people describe other people's success.
- 4:42Speaker 1: He's so lucky, lucky, Hey man, Don't they kind of
- 4:47Speaker 1: get you a little bit when people call you lucky
- 4:50Speaker 1: When let me tell you what luck really is, y'all.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Luck is when hard work bumps up into opportunity, when
- 4:57Speaker 1: hard work run smack dab up in the opportunity. Some
- 5:01Speaker 1: people call that luck. But hold on, let's let's think
- 5:04Speaker 1: about this. If you wasn't working hard, an opportunity presented itself,
- 5:09Speaker 1: what would you call that? What you call that a
- 5:11Speaker 1: missed opportunity? What you call that wrong place at the
- 5:14Speaker 1: wrong time, or you missed out on that? But see,
- 5:17Speaker 1: when you've been working hard, an opportunity presents itself and
- 5:20Speaker 1: it bumps up into each other. Now people want to
- 5:22Speaker 1: call that luck, but hold up, here go the part
- 5:25Speaker 1: though today ain't paying no attention to. Yeah, that opportunity
- 5:27Speaker 1: came by, But if you had not been working hard
- 5:30Speaker 1: and the hard work had not ran up in the opportunity,
- 5:32Speaker 1: what would you have. No, sir, it's not luck, it's work.
- 5:38Speaker 1: It is work, because as a scripture that says, faith
- 5:42Speaker 1: without works is dead. Look, I know I use the
- 5:45Speaker 1: same ones all all the time, But them the ones
- 5:47Speaker 1: I know, I mean what you want me to, you
- 5:50Speaker 1: want me lie to, you want me come on here
- 5:51Speaker 1: and tell you man, I've been studying the Bible. I haven't.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I haven't, I haven't, I haven't. But my mom was
- 5:57Speaker 1: a Sunday school teacher. She taught me enough. Though, Now
- 6:00Speaker 1: I know different between right and wrong, just like you do.
- 6:03Speaker 1: You ain't gotta you know it accused me when people
- 6:05Speaker 1: write a strawberry letter? Am I wrong for this? You know? Good? Well,
- 6:08Speaker 1: look at let's read your letter? Are you wrong for this?
- 6:11Speaker 1: You know you're wrong? What you don't need that's to
- 6:13Speaker 1: be telling, you know? But I'm gonna do this anyway. Well, see,
- 6:15Speaker 1: go ahead, though, do what you wanna do. But you
- 6:19Speaker 1: know what, y'all here, here's the best advice I can
- 6:21Speaker 1: give you. This is what I really came to talk
- 6:24Speaker 1: about this morning, but I got sidetrack because I listened.
- 6:29Speaker 1: You know what, get get out of your own way.
- 6:35Speaker 1: So many of us are blocking our own blessings. We're
- 6:39Speaker 1: just in our own way. We are in our own way.
- 6:45Speaker 1: And one of the most dangerous ways you can get
- 6:47Speaker 1: in your way is to do it your way, to
- 6:51Speaker 1: get it figured your way, and to lock in on
- 6:54Speaker 1: your way. And it's the way it's got to go.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Do you know how many people are blocking their blessing?
- 7:00Speaker 1: Do you know how long I blocked mine? With that
- 7:02Speaker 1: mindset right there? This is how I wanted to happen.
- 7:07Speaker 1: This is how I wanted to go down. This is
- 7:09Speaker 1: the way I'm gonna go about it, and this this
- 7:11Speaker 1: what's gonna happen, lock loaded fire. So I was dead
- 7:16Speaker 1: set on doing it my way. Have you ever talked
- 7:19Speaker 1: to people man, Well, it's just the way I do it. Look,
- 7:22Speaker 1: because it's the way you do it, you think that
- 7:24Speaker 1: make it the right way? Do you think jazz because
- 7:27Speaker 1: you'd have thought on it long and hard and that's
- 7:29Speaker 1: what you really want. Do you really think that your
- 7:32Speaker 1: way is the right way or could there be a
- 7:34Speaker 1: better way? See? Until I started listening to God and
- 7:38Speaker 1: started paying attention to his way, man, I was spending
- 7:41Speaker 1: my wheels. Man. I was out here so determined this
- 7:44Speaker 1: how I was gonna do it. But you know, I
- 7:46Speaker 1: had to learn how to get out of my own
- 7:48Speaker 1: way because just because I could do it my way
- 7:51Speaker 1: didn't mean it was the right way. I had to
- 7:54Speaker 1: get out of my own way. Just get out your way, man, Now,
- 8:00Speaker 1: what what what does that mean? That means see, set
- 8:05Speaker 1: your goals, That means have your dreams. That's I'm I'm saying,
- 8:12Speaker 1: set your goals. Man, I ain't saying don't set goals.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Listen to me. Set your goals. What is it you
- 8:17Speaker 1: want to happen? What is it you like to have?
- 8:19Speaker 1: What is it you like to be? What are you
- 8:21Speaker 1: aspire to? Set your goals and set your dreams. Now,
- 8:26Speaker 1: take your goals and your dreams to God and ask
- 8:31Speaker 1: God to show you how, Man, you can save yourself
- 8:35Speaker 1: a lot of pain. Listen to somebody who did it
- 8:39Speaker 1: his way for so long. And when I finally got
- 8:42Speaker 1: out of my way, out of my own way. When
- 8:46Speaker 1: you've heard old people say, let go and let God.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You heard him say that I didn't. I didn't get it,
- 8:52Speaker 1: but I got it. Now let go and let God.
- 8:56Speaker 1: And it's amazing little saying. Though now you know you
- 8:58Speaker 1: may not get it now. It took me a bunch
- 9:00Speaker 1: of years to get it too. But when I but
- 9:03Speaker 1: when I took my goals and my dreams and my
- 9:06Speaker 1: vision to God, and I said, God, this is what
- 9:09Speaker 1: I hope for, this is what I aspired to, This
- 9:12Speaker 1: is what I want to be, This is why I
- 9:13Speaker 1: would love to get to. Then I said, help me
- 9:18Speaker 1: show me how, Point me in the right direction, Let
- 9:21Speaker 1: me follow your footsteps, Guide me and give me a
- 9:25Speaker 1: spirit of discernment. Show me who wrong? Because I meet
- 9:27Speaker 1: people every day ain't up to no good with me?
- 9:30Speaker 1: Every single day. Oh man, man, I can't believe I
- 9:34Speaker 1: run up in to you. Man, the Lord told me
- 9:37Speaker 1: something's gonna happen to me today. Well, see, I talked
- 9:40Speaker 1: to him every day. He did not mention you to me.
- 9:46Speaker 1: He ain't said nothing to me. He didn't tell me
- 9:48Speaker 1: what was gonna happen. In mind. Now, I don't mean
- 9:50Speaker 1: it can't happen because I'm open to it. But it
- 9:53Speaker 1: amazes me when people come up to me. Man, the
- 9:55Speaker 1: Lord wanted me to tell you this. Hold on, man,
- 9:58Speaker 1: I talked to him every day, every day, some days
- 10:03Speaker 1: more than others. I ain't perfect. I missed sometimes, but
- 10:08Speaker 1: I'm on a daily basis talking to him. So really, man,
- 10:12Speaker 1: I'm I'm and I and and and Please know I'm
- 10:14Speaker 1: listening as well as I've ever listened before. But but
- 10:17Speaker 1: get yourself together, though, see no, your goals and your dreams,
- 10:21Speaker 1: and then let God show you how to do it.
- 10:23Speaker 1: He'll do it. See see you know how you let
- 10:26Speaker 1: him lead you. Listen. Listen, that's all you got to do.
- 10:32Speaker 1: If you're talking to God and you're asking him for help, Listen,
- 10:37Speaker 1: but don't go with the first thing that happened. Pay
- 10:39Speaker 1: attention because here's one way. You know it ain't him.
- 10:42Speaker 1: If it's some sin in it, it ain't him. It
- 10:46Speaker 1: ain't him. I don't care. Go down there and tell
- 10:48Speaker 1: them this right here, and then dellustrating them, mouth that
- 10:51Speaker 1: ain't him talking to you. That's not him. You know,
- 10:55Speaker 1: it's it's it's it's it's it's it's it's um. It's
- 10:59Speaker 1: someone important. Man, It's so important everybody, that you get focused,
- 11:04Speaker 1: that you aim for something, that you dream of, something,
- 11:08Speaker 1: that you aspire to something. But it's the most the
- 11:11Speaker 1: best thing you can do. After you do all that, man,
- 11:13Speaker 1: get God involved in it. Man, talk to him. I mean,
- 11:17Speaker 1: why would you not what you got to lose. You
- 11:19Speaker 1: ain't gotta go down there and make no big scene
- 11:21Speaker 1: and and run laps around the church and run up
- 11:23Speaker 1: there and throw yourself on the altar and scream and
- 11:26Speaker 1: flip over and throw money in there. You ain't got
- 11:28Speaker 1: to do that. This you and God, man, This you
- 11:32Speaker 1: and God. You know you got to serve and praise
- 11:35Speaker 1: him the way you do it. You gott let everybody
- 11:37Speaker 1: else tell you highs done. It's a personal relationship. People
- 11:42Speaker 1: kill me if you don't do it this way. If
- 11:44Speaker 1: you don't come here to this church and you don't
- 11:45Speaker 1: run around in this circle, and you don't get flipped
- 11:47Speaker 1: in and you don't turn a somersault, and you ain't saved,
- 11:50Speaker 1: and you ain't saying what did you do? What tongue
- 11:52Speaker 1: did you speak? Hey man, you better go have a
- 11:54Speaker 1: relationship with God. See what that's about. You understand? Nobody
- 11:57Speaker 1: throw you off with all that? All right, all right,
- 11:59Speaker 1: y'all talk doing me load here from you? Today? You're
- 12:02Speaker 1: listening to Harvey Morning Show eighteen minutes after the hour,
- 12:13Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, pop waking you up, hoping you up,
- 12:18Speaker 1: wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up. Okay, we're up.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Let's get to it's the top of the morning. Baby, yep.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Everybody in a good mood today. Junior absolutely morning. But
- 12:35Speaker 1: he can running anything. I'm just scared. All you have
- 12:44Speaker 1: to do is go to sleep and wake up. It's something, yeah,
- 12:48Speaker 1: you know. And so at home every nine and one
- 12:51Speaker 1: would leak out mm hmm. You don't know. I'm in
- 12:57Speaker 1: one one time. I can't wait. You know. You know
- 13:01Speaker 1: how your mamma tell you got to eat all your food.
- 13:04Speaker 1: It's kids in Africa starving. And I said, well, you
- 13:10Speaker 1: want to send it to him. You said that outlive.
- 13:16Speaker 1: I didn't know I had said it outline. I was talking,
- 13:22Speaker 1: you're alive, You're still alive. Yeah, Oh my face went
- 13:26Speaker 1: straight down in that old meal. Oh yeah, I had
- 13:29Speaker 1: old meal all up in my nose. Everything you got
- 13:32Speaker 1: back then. Oh, she sat me on back of the
- 13:34Speaker 1: head so hard. That's like when I tell my mom,
- 13:37Speaker 1: don't worry about it. I was a real little kid,
- 13:40Speaker 1: knocked so hard, and don't worry about it. My uncle's
- 13:47Speaker 1: told me they put me up to saying that I
- 13:49Speaker 1: didn't know and tell me your favorite famous line to
- 13:55Speaker 1: your mom. Remember you don't make me knock you into
- 13:59Speaker 1: the next week And I said, well, booked me for
- 14:01Speaker 1: thirsdy all the way. That's when he came to on Thursday.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Hey man, we was at the success seminar over the
- 14:17Speaker 1: weekend and a long time ago. You know, I had
- 14:20Speaker 1: gave you know, Marjorie car for her birthday on Instagram. M.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I didn't show the whole car, just showed the door.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Her reaction to it, everything, Yeah, I just wishing my
- 14:32Speaker 1: girl a happy birthday. So there's somebody typed in and said,
- 14:40Speaker 1: how dare you buy such an expensive car when people
- 14:44Speaker 1: in Africa and around the world are started. So I
- 14:49Speaker 1: text back, I said, well, hell, they can't need to
- 14:51Speaker 1: call something. What is trip? You thought that was the
- 15:00Speaker 1: best response. Yet that's the same Steve to say somethingbody
- 15:12Speaker 1: that told me about that. Yeah, dude, right there, it's
- 15:17Speaker 1: the same. And I've always thought that way, and they
- 15:21Speaker 1: can't need to come So what what what is we
- 15:24Speaker 1: really saying about? That's crazy? But but today, these kids today,
- 15:33Speaker 1: we're not raised like we were raised. I'll just say that.
- 15:37Speaker 1: The stuff I'm gonna get away with, I mean, but
- 15:40Speaker 1: like it's like parenting has changed. And yeah, these stories man,
- 15:46Speaker 1: that's coming out these people, that's convicting the that's committing
- 15:50Speaker 1: these foul acts on Facebook live and nobody's importing it. Yeah.
- 15:55Speaker 1: It's sad man that we except things. We're so desensitized. Yeah,
- 16:03Speaker 1: it's almost like it ain't my business mm hmmm. Which
- 16:07Speaker 1: that's not the case because again, growing up, the whole
- 16:11Speaker 1: block new if you were doing something that you would
- 16:15Speaker 1: tell your parents. Yeah, and they would tell your parents,
- 16:18Speaker 1: you know. But now it's just so different. Yeah oh yeah,
- 16:25Speaker 1: but if they did though, the double did that, somebody
- 16:33Speaker 1: else had that? Oh discipline, my shot outside of the home.
- 16:38Speaker 1: So you're down acting like you won't like you ain't
- 16:41Speaker 1: got no home training. That's why i'd But that's why
- 16:47Speaker 1: your mom would be so mad, because you've got them
- 16:50Speaker 1: people down there thinking she ain't up here doing her job. Yeah,
- 16:53Speaker 1: don't embarrass me. Oh man, that was Now we embarrass
- 16:57Speaker 1: our kids. They don't want you to embarrassing them. Is
- 17:01Speaker 1: that crazy? How did it get flipped? They let it
- 17:05Speaker 1: get slippened? Yeah, what has happened? I don't know. My
- 17:11Speaker 1: mom was still act what what's that, jun Yeah, my
- 17:14Speaker 1: mom is still active. It ain't change it over there,
- 17:22Speaker 1: not over there. It's head still fully functioned. What's your
- 17:28Speaker 1: worst whooping you ever got? Junior? I told you about
- 17:32Speaker 1: them hangars in the flow, and I had said I
- 17:35Speaker 1: was sick of this shieyeyema. Are you sick of this?
- 17:43Speaker 1: You got problems with hangars today? Oh man? If I
- 17:45Speaker 1: can beat with them, hang I gotta be with everything.
- 17:48Speaker 1: It's bad when they throw you into your dress and
- 17:50Speaker 1: everything on your dress a fall on you like a
- 17:53Speaker 1: stereo clone. Everything failed. Spare change, spare change. Godly speakers
- 18:07Speaker 1: kind of knowing and didn't tell you to clean it up, Shirley.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, how my dad in the hallway did laughing.
- 18:18Speaker 1: So your mom was a disciplinary and my mom wasn't enforced.
- 18:21Speaker 1: My dad only will be about four times, but my
- 18:24Speaker 1: mom about a hundred and eighty thousands didn't didn't care. Yeah,
- 18:29Speaker 1: my mom did not play. She did not play. But
- 18:35Speaker 1: you know what it made me the man I am today.
- 18:37Speaker 1: I really think I don't regret it. I don't regret
- 18:41Speaker 1: how she raips me. I really don't. M I did then,
- 18:46Speaker 1: but you just say stuff in the bedroom when you
- 18:50Speaker 1: closed it, dough yealy under your breath. Absolutely. But my
- 18:56Speaker 1: worst thing, Tommy, was rolling my eye. And as big
- 19:04Speaker 1: as your eyes is, that looks like a globe with s.
- 19:13Speaker 1: You got them Atlas eyes. It looks like it's a
- 19:16Speaker 1: white man got it on his shoulders, turning, holding over
- 19:23Speaker 1: so you don't rolled them gods like she wasn't gonna
- 19:27Speaker 1: see it to blink with my ass that size man
- 19:34Speaker 1: like to shutter on an old ass camera. Shut. I
- 19:40Speaker 1: put this picture of me on my Instagram over the
- 19:44Speaker 1: inter of you with me, and all the comments said, oh,
- 19:47Speaker 1: we see what Steve means about your eyes. We think
- 19:50Speaker 1: they're so big your eyes. Half the comments were about that.
- 19:54Speaker 1: So thank you. And we have to go to break
- 19:57Speaker 1: coming back something funny. I bet you see, we gotta
- 20:00Speaker 1: go to break. You're listening, Steve were brack there is
- 20:06Speaker 1: something funny coming up. Ye always got h We want

- 20:24Speaker 1: did the dog on things and tar Heels boy, yes, sah.
- 20:28Speaker 1: I was worried about him for a minute though, Oh
- 20:31Speaker 1: you worry They pulled it off. Oh they got funky man.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Who the legends out of their dog? Well, I mean,
- 20:37Speaker 1: I know, Jordan, what's some legends about it? That's out
- 20:39Speaker 1: of that at college right there? James Worth Kenney the
- 20:43Speaker 1: jet rocket, he said, Michael Trordan dance card Yo? That yeah, okay,
- 20:54Speaker 1: Antoine James all right, yo, uh, stack counts the stack
- 21:03Speaker 1: all this stuff? Um? Was it a good game? Was
- 21:08Speaker 1: the game not own at your house? The game watching? Yeah?
- 21:11Speaker 1: But if he's watching it, I don't, I'm not. I'm
- 21:14Speaker 1: not in the same room. Yeah. But you don't seem
- 21:21Speaker 1: no other people got more than mustn't those of us?
- 21:26Speaker 1: Tommy said, I know what time you trying to say?

- 26:50Speaker 1: didn't think either either. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach
- 27:02Speaker 1: your Monica system. Monica. Please, this is brother de Sean.
- 27:08Speaker 1: I'm calling Actually I'm a member Greater Missionary Baptist Church.
- 27:12Speaker 1: How can I help you? Calling you? Actually? About the offering? Now?
- 27:15Speaker 1: Did you? I know you paid your ties Sunday? Okay?
- 27:19Speaker 1: Now you paid a love offering as well? Right? Okay?
- 27:23Speaker 1: Now this past Sunday. Um, I'm looking at a check
- 27:27Speaker 1: that you left us with the bank, right right, I
- 27:30Speaker 1: sure did. I wrote a check Sunday. Okay. Now the check,
- 27:33Speaker 1: ma'am was two hundred and fifty Am, I correct? Right right?
- 27:38Speaker 1: I wrote two checks for my ties and the love offering. Right,
- 27:41Speaker 1: I wrote one for two fifty for the love offering. Okay?
- 27:44Speaker 1: Now what is this call regarding? Why are you calling me?
- 27:48Speaker 1: What I wanted to tell you is that I hate
- 27:50Speaker 1: to be a bar of bad news, but you your
- 27:52Speaker 1: check that you wrote for two fifty actually has bounced.
- 27:57Speaker 1: And wait a minute, you said my check bounce? Your
- 28:01Speaker 1: check bound? So what I'm doing is calling you about
- 28:05Speaker 1: recouping the two fifth as well as you know you
- 28:07Speaker 1: you cost us thirty dollars uh in bank fees. Now
- 28:13Speaker 1: I wrote two checks. I wrote a check for a
- 28:15Speaker 1: hundred dollars. Did that one bound? I don't see to
- 28:18Speaker 1: it that that that one bound. All I know is
- 28:20Speaker 1: the one that the love offering has bounced. What did
- 28:22Speaker 1: you put him in at the same time? Because I
- 28:24Speaker 1: wrote him at the same time. They all go in
- 28:26Speaker 1: on Monday, ma'am. Now, I didn't put them in at
- 28:28Speaker 1: the same time. I've been putting them in for the
- 28:30Speaker 1: last two or three years. The problem is why would
- 28:32Speaker 1: people right there, brother Shaun was I don't think it
- 28:38Speaker 1: matters when when I was there, man, The problem is
- 28:41Speaker 1: that I didn't put these checks in. And I don't
- 28:43Speaker 1: understand why y'all write these checks to the track knowing
- 28:46Speaker 1: that they're gonna bound. There's a lot of people right, good,
- 28:49Speaker 1: well not the other one didn't clear. Maybe you didn't
- 28:54Speaker 1: have enough money for both of them to clear. What
- 28:57Speaker 1: What did you say? Maybe you didn't have enough money
- 29:00Speaker 1: in the bank for both of them. The clip and
- 29:01Speaker 1: I don't understand why people write in the bank at all.
- 29:05Speaker 1: My checks clear. I don't write no rubber checks. Well,
- 29:08Speaker 1: you wrote one on Sunday and that's the problem. How
- 29:11Speaker 1: are you gonna try to give a look? Wait a minute,
- 29:13Speaker 1: I think you got me confused with somebody else. I
- 29:15Speaker 1: don't write no bad checks. You didn't wrote to you.
- 29:18Speaker 1: I'm trying to be nice to you. When can we
- 29:20Speaker 1: expect the two fifty plus the thirty dollars? So that's
- 29:24Speaker 1: the bank fees, ma'am for the doll gonna check bouncing?
- 29:27Speaker 1: My check didn't bounce. I don't check my bank. And
- 29:30Speaker 1: if my check clear, you're gonna pay me thirty dollars
- 29:33Speaker 1: for calling me harassing me about a two hundred and
- 29:35Speaker 1: fifty dollar check bounce. I don't write no Why would
- 29:39Speaker 1: you write check? What? You want to? Sit up in
- 29:40Speaker 1: the church and write these big number checks when you
- 29:42Speaker 1: know you ain't got it in the bank. I said,
- 29:46Speaker 1: why would you write these checks when the money ain't
- 29:49Speaker 1: in there? Let me tell you one thing. I don't
- 29:52Speaker 1: write no bad checks, and you got a lots calling
- 29:56Speaker 1: me telling me my check bounce, y'all. Check is the
- 29:58Speaker 1: one that has bound. And you tell you what you
- 30:00Speaker 1: do since my check bounce, you paid them, since you
- 30:03Speaker 1: got all the money, And don't call me with this again. Hello,
- 30:09Speaker 1: don't you hang up on me no more? When when
- 30:11Speaker 1: don't we gonna get this two fifty and this thirty dollars?
- 30:16Speaker 1: Somebody from the church to my eye wrote a bad check. Check.
- 30:21Speaker 1: I didn't write no bad Why are you calling me?
- 30:25Speaker 1: Why the treaser don't call me at church? The treasure
- 30:28Speaker 1: is I ain't never know the deacon called nobody about
- 30:30Speaker 1: no bad check. You're fully thank you you got the
- 30:36Speaker 1: money I ain't got. Who is that in the background?
- 30:39Speaker 1: Who is that for mine? Who it is? We're both
- 30:42Speaker 1: going to the same church, and you're gonna call me?
- 30:44Speaker 1: To my eye wrote a bad check? You don't you
- 30:46Speaker 1: call me no more? And if the check bads, you paid? Okay,
- 30:50Speaker 1: keep passed to know you're talking like this, pass to
- 30:53Speaker 1: know you're calling me? Can you after that? Look? When
- 30:56Speaker 1: are we gonna get this two eight dollars is what
- 30:58Speaker 1: we're looking for from You wrote a check for two
- 31:00Speaker 1: fifties and not get to eighty. You you put two
- 31:06Speaker 1: fifty in there. It bounced thirty dollars cost us on
- 31:09Speaker 1: bank fees. That's to eighty. Where can the church expect
- 31:12Speaker 1: their money? Never? Not? No to eight? You will never
- 31:16Speaker 1: get to eight. You're gonna make me come by your
- 31:18Speaker 1: and my check in what I'm gonna do. What You're
- 31:21Speaker 1: gonna make me come by your house and get this money?
- 31:23Speaker 1: Bring it? Bring it? Bring it? What is the address
- 31:28Speaker 1: on this check? Check? I got it off the check.
- 31:31Speaker 1: I bet you you'll be living back and I'm watching you.
- 31:34Speaker 1: You bet not be spending no money nowhere. You bet
- 31:37Speaker 1: not spend nothing until I get this two fifty plus
- 31:39Speaker 1: thirty whatever. I want to know, you know where I am.
- 31:43Speaker 1: And you don't call me no more with this because
- 31:46Speaker 1: my check did not bounce. I don't see how one
- 31:49Speaker 1: check went through and the other bound. Let me say
- 31:51Speaker 1: this to you, we cannot accept you back into the
- 31:53Speaker 1: house of the Lord no more until you are not.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Don't you come in and Sunday until we get coming

- 32:13Speaker 1: I got no, I'm a called pastor. No, you should
- 32:16Speaker 1: have talked with pastor before you call me with this information.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I got one more thing I need to say. You
- 32:21Speaker 1: ain't got nothing to say to me. You don't upset
- 32:23Speaker 1: me with this I'm talking about I bounced the check.
- 32:26Speaker 1: You should have went to pastor before you call me
- 32:28Speaker 1: with you. I tall pastor one I got, But I

- 33:35Speaker 1: drive on Williams. Oh wow, that's what you need from
- 33:40Speaker 1: that guy. Big time palm hold delivers block, Poe makes
- 33:46Speaker 1: burn out ahead to Jackson and he took it down
- 33:50Speaker 1: for the five point lande no time outs con saga
- 33:54Speaker 1: it's stolen and North Carolina's power was seven seconds to
- 33:58Speaker 1: go the game deciding sequence. And this year the confetti
- 34:05Speaker 1: it's gonna fall from North Carolina. They're not gonna be
- 34:09Speaker 1: the line this time. Come on. They may have kids
- 34:14Speaker 1: from the team that's from the area. They ain't nobody,
- 34:18Speaker 1: nobody from way over here going, no damning, ain't coming
- 34:21Speaker 1: out of scholarship. Tell you to go. No you go, dog,
- 34:25Speaker 1: you go where the people recruit you at. They get

- 34:30Speaker 1: might go over to the eighth little bit down coming.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Anybody going over that, dog, you cold ball playing. You're
- 34:36Speaker 1: on the East Coast. You're going to the A c C,
- 34:38Speaker 1: the s SEC. You're going somewhere like that. You ain't
- 34:41Speaker 1: gonna go over there, way out there, yeah, way out there.
- 34:44Speaker 1: You don't know where it is. Listen, missing is here, Yeah,
- 34:51Speaker 1: she's always here. She's very reliable. So here she is,
- 34:54Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, the lovely, the talented, MS and Trip.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Thank you, thanks Earl College, everybody at the Junior and Tommy.
- 35:02Speaker 1: This is Antrip with the news. Okay, a lot has
- 35:05Speaker 1: gone on all over the world and Russia at least
- 35:07Speaker 1: fourteen people now, fourteen people dead as a result of
- 35:09Speaker 1: yesterday's explosion in St. Petersburg subway station. Authorities suspect terrorism.
- 35:14Speaker 1: The whole city's underground system is shut down, and security
- 35:17Speaker 1: has been beefed up on commuter lines in Moscow as well,
- 35:20Speaker 1: actually in New York City too, and investigation underway in Russia.
- 35:24Speaker 1: But right now they say that it was a suicide
- 35:26Speaker 1: bomber who was a cur to stanborn Russian citizen. Families
- 35:30Speaker 1: in a small southern city in Columbia desperately searching for
- 35:33Speaker 1: loved one swept away by water, mud, and debris from
- 35:37Speaker 1: the storms that started they're late Friday. The death toll
- 35:39Speaker 1: there has risen to two hundred and sixty two, many
- 35:42Speaker 1: of them children. However, a number of people are still missing,
- 35:45Speaker 1: and that death toll has expected to really rise. Officials
- 35:49Speaker 1: say that at least four people are dead as a
- 35:51Speaker 1: result of yesterday's severe weather in the South. Among the dead,
- 35:54Speaker 1: and Mississippi woman who was desperately trying to direct rescue
- 35:57Speaker 1: was to her submerged car when she died. They say
- 36:00Speaker 1: the woman had driven off the road and into a creek.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Another woman died when strong winds toppled the tree onto
- 36:06Speaker 1: her home. The Democrats say they have enough of the
- 36:09Speaker 1: votes to filibuster this week against the nomination of Judge
- 36:12Speaker 1: Neil Gorcer's to the Supreme Court. Senate rules say that
- 36:15Speaker 1: sixty votes are needed to confirm a High Court nominee,
- 36:17Speaker 1: but right now Republicans don't have it. But that still
- 36:20Speaker 1: leaves the so called nuclear option, whether the Senate abolishes
- 36:23Speaker 1: or blows up the long standing rules in favor of
- 36:26Speaker 1: reducing the vote threshold to only a majority vote from
- 36:29Speaker 1: now on. Republicans are claiming that this would be the
- 36:32Speaker 1: first partisan filibuster in the nation's history. However, Democrats point
- 36:35Speaker 1: to last year's unprecedented and disrespectful GOP blockade against President
- 36:40Speaker 1: Obama's nominee, Mariic Garland, who Republicans refused to even interview,
- 36:45Speaker 1: and they say that was basically a year long partisan filibuster. Meanwhile,
- 36:49Speaker 1: lawmakers on both sides of the AISLD dismayed over what's
- 36:51Speaker 1: happened to governance in this country. One of them, Democrat Leahy,
- 36:55Speaker 1: who had voted for six Republican Supreme Court nominees in
- 36:58Speaker 1: the past, promis to use whatever tactic is necessary to
- 37:02Speaker 1: get his way, even if that means forever damaging the
- 37:05Speaker 1: United States Senate and for its forty two years. I've
- 37:09Speaker 1: devoted myself to the good the Senate can accomplish. But
- 37:13Speaker 1: I cannot vote solely to protect an institution when I
- 37:17Speaker 1: fear that the Senate I would be depending no longer
- 37:21Speaker 1: exists at Senator Patrick Lahy. The full Senate is expected
- 37:24Speaker 1: to vote on Gorcer by the end of this week.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Georgia Governor Nathan Deal says he's looking for money from
- 37:30Speaker 1: the federal government to help repair that heavily travel section
- 37:33Speaker 1: of five that collapsed last week due to a fire.
- 37:36Speaker 1: They've charged one man who says he's a crack addict
- 37:39Speaker 1: and he's homeless. Their annual basil Elobi and today is
- 37:42Speaker 1: National Hugger Newsperson Day. Yeah, there really is a day.
- 37:45Speaker 1: And National eat a carrot, Danny, carrots are good for you, Doc.
- 37:51Speaker 1: And now this is anthrop on the Steve Barbie Morning Show.
- 37:54Speaker 1: All I thank you, miss san Now. According to a
- 37:57Speaker 1: survey by vault dot com, fifty percent fifty of all
- 38:02Speaker 1: workers have had an office romance. Of those surveys said
- 38:08Speaker 1: they think dating a co worker is cool, even if
- 38:11Speaker 1: that co worker is a boss. Have you here's a
- 38:14Speaker 1: question for our audience. Have you ever dated a co
- 38:17Speaker 1: worker or your boss? Did you keep your relationship hidden
- 38:21Speaker 1: or did other people at the office No? Eight seven
- 38:24Speaker 1: seven twenty ninon Steve Boy, that's deep that question. Yeah,

- 38:38Speaker 1: And seeing you are the boss, Yeah, let's hear it.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Let's hear yours before we go to the phone. He
- 38:47Speaker 1: answer that like like like you haven't what you want
- 38:57Speaker 1: me to come back down and hit don't even could
- 39:03Speaker 1: just be down here by no damn check. Really Yeah,
- 39:09Speaker 1: that's unbelievable. M hm, I am. I ain't know nobody
- 39:16Speaker 1: I work with. But you know a lot of companies
- 39:19Speaker 1: have policies, and you know you're not supposed to get
- 39:23Speaker 1: together with a coworkers or data coworker. You know it's
- 39:26Speaker 1: in the handbook, the employee handbook. You know you post
- 39:29Speaker 1: prayed me enough to live on that what happened? So
- 39:34Speaker 1: now what you want me to do? You want me?
- 39:37Speaker 1: You you you? You want me to be all I
- 39:39Speaker 1: can be? But you ain't gonna be had what you? What? What?

- 39:49Speaker 1: Was that was that at work or school? That the
- 39:52Speaker 1: story that I love so much that you always tell about.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Used to tell the girl I love you every single day.
- 39:58Speaker 1: That was a job a full moti come and she
- 40:01Speaker 1: finally broke. That was my first job right out of
- 40:04Speaker 1: college when I flunked out. I worked it forward. Huh,
- 40:09Speaker 1: chick named mariad Man. I walked past her every day,
- 40:11Speaker 1: told I love find his chick on that whole line
- 40:15Speaker 1: though in the plan. So you just would walk by
- 40:19Speaker 1: and say I love you. Yeah, dudes, be laughing at me.
- 40:23Speaker 1: You stand college boy just gonna just keep saying that
- 40:26Speaker 1: she ain't tysh ain't talking back to you, you know,
- 40:28Speaker 1: old Huh, you ain't getting nothing, ain't no return on
- 40:33Speaker 1: this investment, all stupid. I love you every day every
- 40:40Speaker 1: day a year, a whole year, the whole year. You're Oh,
- 40:44Speaker 1: you're so committed when you commit to something committed I wanted.
- 40:49Speaker 1: So what happened. How does she break down? One day
- 40:53Speaker 1: she spoke back? That was it? She say, I love
- 40:57Speaker 1: you till what is? She say? No? She said, hi,
- 40:59Speaker 1: how are you all I needed? I said, my name
- 41:05Speaker 1: is Steve. I already know your name. She said that's right.
- 41:10Speaker 1: I said, cool, I love you and walking man. You

- 41:29Speaker 1: of everybody was no stalking, no sea. She can expect

- 47:15Speaker 1: more of the blame, blame, blog, blame. You're listening to
- 47:21Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here we go.
- 47:24Speaker 1: According to a survey by vault dot com of all
- 47:28Speaker 1: workers have had an office romance, of those surveys said
- 47:32Speaker 1: they think about dating uh coworkers cool. Um, they think
- 47:37Speaker 1: dating a coworker is cool, even if that co worker
- 47:39Speaker 1: is a boss. Have you ever dated a co worker
- 47:42Speaker 1: or your boss? Did you keep your relationship hidden or
- 47:44Speaker 1: did other people at the office? No? Eight seven seven
- 47:48Speaker 1: nine Steve eight seven steven Um. All right, here's our
- 47:59Speaker 1: quest sin of the week. This is a good one too.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Have you ever dated a co worker or your boss?
- 48:07Speaker 1: Like all workers have had an office romance. So we
- 48:10Speaker 1: want to know have you ever dated someone at the
- 48:13Speaker 1: office and did you keep that relationship hidden or did
- 48:16Speaker 1: other people know at the office. Let's go to the phones.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Let's go to line seven and talk to Joy out
- 48:23Speaker 1: of Nevada. Joy. Good morning, Hello, Joy? How are you?
- 48:30Speaker 1: How are you dolling? I am amazing. Thank you for asking.
- 48:34Speaker 1: I just want you guys know I love you so much.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Thank you. Joy. I was a program manager of program
- 48:41Speaker 1: directors of Blind Center of Nevada and part of mine
- 48:46Speaker 1: at the Blind Center. Okay, is you blind? Are you? No?
- 48:55Speaker 1: You are? Oh? No, Jesus no what else? Perfect? I'm
- 49:01Speaker 1: that perfect? Hilarious. So part of my job duties were
- 49:13Speaker 1: to recruit and also conduct intakes for new members. So
- 49:18Speaker 1: there was a gentleman that I didn't intake four and
- 49:22Speaker 1: probably I would say maybe a month or so after
- 49:25Speaker 1: he started coming to the Blind Center. Um, he began
- 49:28Speaker 1: to pursue me and little subtle flirt here and there
- 49:32Speaker 1: and whatever, and I just never really gave it the
- 49:34Speaker 1: time or the day because I did kind of tell
- 49:36Speaker 1: myself that one thing I would never do with the
- 49:39Speaker 1: data member of the Blind Center. So so how did
- 49:43Speaker 1: he get you. Was was he using like real tricky
- 49:45Speaker 1: lines like you look so beautiful? He he did, But
- 49:50Speaker 1: but he's not he's not totally blind. He's legally blind,
- 49:54Speaker 1: but he's not totally blind. Excuse me. Meaning what that
- 49:59Speaker 1: means is that, according to the American Disabilities Act, if
- 50:04Speaker 1: you have a certain amount of visions, sometimes you are
- 50:07Speaker 1: categorized as completely which is where you have no vision
- 50:11Speaker 1: at all, or where you have some of your visions.
- 50:14Speaker 1: So you're not just you're not you're not blind enough
- 50:17Speaker 1: to be considered totally blind, but you are blind enough
- 50:20Speaker 1: to be considered legally blind, which means you cannot hold
- 50:22Speaker 1: the driver's license and you have to walk with a
- 50:25Speaker 1: cane if need be where you see you a little bit,
- 50:29Speaker 1: actually if you see me quite a bit. Yes, you
- 50:32Speaker 1: know you called him to the signor already know people.
- 50:38Speaker 1: You know it's easy to get on the ground and
- 50:39Speaker 1: find your damn contact. But when you got enough in
- 50:42Speaker 1: your red that's a double last stop it you're enough
- 50:53Speaker 1: servant D D C. And I don't know he he does.
- 50:56Speaker 1: He's not blind enough to have a service off dot.
- 51:03Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. That's my service dog is like
- 51:06Speaker 1: when you're sick and they can tell you get sick,
- 51:08Speaker 1: and he stopped. I need a dog know how to
- 51:16Speaker 1: read it down traffic light, cross the street, helping me
- 51:18Speaker 1: fall down off your courage and stuff. Get me up
- 51:20Speaker 1: on this to see and I don't because my retness
- 51:26Speaker 1: is detached. I apologize, joy alogize. Okay, let me ask
- 51:35Speaker 1: you some can you see I am completely I'm totally fighting.
- 51:41Speaker 1: I have no Okay, So you slept with the dude
- 51:45Speaker 1: that couldn't see I didn't know. I didn't. I didn't.
- 51:48Speaker 1: I mean I slept with them after we married. We
- 51:50Speaker 1: got married. This story they went on a blind date. Yeah,
- 52:00Speaker 1: they went on a blind date and she didn't had
- 52:03Speaker 1: to fix herself up at all. He didn't see. Oh
- 52:14Speaker 1: the base. I hate you guys so much. Oh God,
- 52:24Speaker 1: well's try. I'm glad it turned out happy ending for you,
- 52:28Speaker 1: and thanks for calling. Okay, Hey, y'all. When we come
- 52:34Speaker 1: back from the break for day after the hour, Tommy
- 52:36Speaker 1: the King is in the building of the prank phone
- 52:38Speaker 1: called We're Gonna Let it Match. You're listening to Steve
- 52:42Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. I tried. We're back coming up at
- 52:49Speaker 1: the top of the hour. We got strawberry leather. But
- 52:51Speaker 1: come on, food, let me jump right on in here
- 52:54Speaker 1: on this here years up wedding and a funeral. Hello. Ryan, Hi,
- 53:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to Ryan, Ryan. How are you doing? Hey,
- 53:13Speaker 1: I'm good. I'm a second. This is Josh Josh over
- 53:16Speaker 1: at the I want to be officials at the church
- 53:18Speaker 1: where you guys are getting married tomorrow. Yeah, yeah, how
- 53:21Speaker 1: you doing? Man? They want to thank you all for
- 53:23Speaker 1: that too, man, Well, we'll appreciate it. Yeah. Well, we
- 53:26Speaker 1: definitely hope to make you a member here soon or
- 53:28Speaker 1: later since you guys are getting married. You know, hey, man,
- 53:31Speaker 1: you know I'm trying to get this work schedule changed up.
- 53:33Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. They got me working on
- 53:34Speaker 1: Sundays now. Man, So son it I tweaked at the
- 53:37Speaker 1: mood out around a little bit. I'll be there, Okay. Listen,
- 53:40Speaker 1: we have a bit of a situation that has come up.
- 53:42Speaker 1: We have some problems and and miscommunication and it's definitely
- 53:46Speaker 1: been on the outside. Uh. They had your name Ryan
- 53:49Speaker 1: down here with your phone number as well as you're
- 53:52Speaker 1: you're a soon to be wife, Sonya. They have her
- 53:54Speaker 1: name here, but we didn't want to call her with
- 53:56Speaker 1: if we wanted to just reach out and talk to
- 53:58Speaker 1: you and see if it's just if you're aware of
- 54:00Speaker 1: what's going on. Okay, Well, what's what's going on? Man?
- 54:03Speaker 1: There's been a mix up on on scheduling. I don't
- 54:06Speaker 1: know if you know took the older make she passed
- 54:08Speaker 1: away a week ago and you're not you're not a
- 54:12Speaker 1: member of church, so you wouldn't know it. But she's
- 54:13Speaker 1: one of the one of the oldest member kid at
- 54:16Speaker 1: the church. So the older may passed away. And what's
- 54:19Speaker 1: going on is you all's wedding is tomorrow at twelve o'clock, right,
- 54:25Speaker 1: but the actual funeral is at three o'clock here at
- 54:29Speaker 1: the church. Okay, uh but Mahane begin brother with Josh Josh. Okay,
- 54:35Speaker 1: look here, brother Josh um hey man, we we we
- 54:39Speaker 1: already got this thing emotion, man, we didn't saying now
- 54:42Speaker 1: they have been a two hundred differentations. Man, I mean
- 54:45Speaker 1: blessed and and and I understand that, but what I mean,
- 54:49Speaker 1: you know, she's there's no way we could have moved
- 54:52Speaker 1: it around. Now the figure Solum, the funeral home is
- 54:54Speaker 1: bringing the casket first thing in the morning. So what
- 54:58Speaker 1: I want what I wanted to make you aware of,
- 54:59Speaker 1: and I don't want you to tell your wife this,
- 55:01Speaker 1: but the actual casket will be in the sainter area,
- 55:04Speaker 1: but we will have it. Hold hold on, man, because
- 55:07Speaker 1: you're serious. Now, look at y'all need the moodest round.
- 55:11Speaker 1: I don't know what y'all gonna do. Y'all have a
- 55:13Speaker 1: fellowship all in the back or something like that. Uh Ryan.
- 55:17Speaker 1: The only place we can actually put the casket, and
- 55:20Speaker 1: if we didn't put it there is in the actual
- 55:21Speaker 1: room that you're soon to be wife would be changing it.
- 55:24Speaker 1: That's the only place that I could, thank you, my chief,
- 55:28Speaker 1: could have change in the room when the dead body.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? What? And you know what? I
- 55:32Speaker 1: understood that that's the first thing I thought of it.
- 55:34Speaker 1: I thought, I said that you'll put the casket away.
- 55:37Speaker 1: It goes for the people, and we're gonna cover it
- 55:39Speaker 1: up and see basically you actually get in. But I
- 55:44Speaker 1: can't even believe you call only would the man look
- 55:46Speaker 1: at and excuse my french man. Yeah, I know I
- 55:49Speaker 1: need to get back in the church, I really do.
- 55:51Speaker 1: But right now that this ain't going down like this, man,
- 55:54Speaker 1: we didn't already paid the money when first, first of all,
- 55:57Speaker 1: First of all, you know, she shouldn't. I only feel
- 56:00Speaker 1: like she may had to pay, you know, to hold
- 56:03Speaker 1: a wedding over a hut hurt where she say times
- 56:05Speaker 1: at that's that's the first thing you know that I
- 56:07Speaker 1: ain't like that from the jumping, But I wouldn't hear
- 56:09Speaker 1: when women because she wants her pastor to marry us.
- 56:12Speaker 1: And now you've got the nerve to tell me that
- 56:14Speaker 1: y'all will arrange something. That funeral gonna happen the same
- 56:17Speaker 1: day as my wedding and my wife's got to get
- 56:19Speaker 1: dressed in the room with a dead body. Well, no,
- 56:21Speaker 1: we're not gonna put it in there. Bro. I was like,
- 56:23Speaker 1: I said, I'm putting that body first thing in the morning.
- 56:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna put that body in the earth right there
- 56:28Speaker 1: in front of the bullpit, and we're gonna cover it. Now,
- 56:32Speaker 1: what you're getting out of is to get more flowers,
- 56:34Speaker 1: because there's gonna be flowers from the funeral. So I'm
- 56:37Speaker 1: thinking that's probably gonna be a little bit of a
- 56:39Speaker 1: pert point. I just wanted you to bear. It's probably
- 56:42Speaker 1: gonna be more people than you think because some of
- 56:45Speaker 1: the people that's gonna be at your wed and it's
- 56:47Speaker 1: really for the funeral, he a colola. Man, are you
- 56:50Speaker 1: serious right now? I mean, look at doctor. I didn't
- 56:53Speaker 1: paid for this when that happened at this church, man, okay,
- 56:56Speaker 1: ain't And no disrespect to the lady that is past
- 56:59Speaker 1: called so family. I ain't playing to not putting the
- 57:03Speaker 1: dead body having no funeral at my wedding. Man, that's
- 57:07Speaker 1: crazy down there church too. She's a member of the
- 57:11Speaker 1: church too. I don't. I don't give it. I don't
- 57:13Speaker 1: be no member of the church. Man. I've been paid
- 57:15Speaker 1: for this wind and it's gonna happen tomorrow. Man, you're
- 57:18Speaker 1: my six and putting dead body at my wedding right,
- 57:26Speaker 1: I mean no distance. But the woman has passed. She's
- 57:30Speaker 1: not gonna get up. I mean, what what does it
- 57:32Speaker 1: put The problem is your called me with this man
- 57:35Speaker 1: the day before my win and we didn't schedule there
- 57:38Speaker 1: six months ago. I spent thirty thousand dollars on this
- 57:41Speaker 1: wid okay, and I gonna tell me that we got
- 57:43Speaker 1: to share our win with a funeral. But the hellers
- 57:46Speaker 1: on with you man, something do you want to have
- 57:49Speaker 1: your wedding as this church? I'll pay for them? And
- 57:52Speaker 1: what you meant I'm having the wind. Okay, I'll tell
- 57:54Speaker 1: you what lit they about the bit in the morning,
- 57:56Speaker 1: I wrote right out to the street, paying y'all sing
- 57:59Speaker 1: in the front and then and and throw flowers like
- 58:01Speaker 1: throwing rice. But we're gonna have a win inside the
- 58:04Speaker 1: saint here tomorrow. I promise you that I care. I
- 58:07Speaker 1: assure you that it won't be I have no other
- 58:10Speaker 1: place to put the body. Okay, well i'll bet your
- 58:12Speaker 1: find someone to put it if I get that a mark.
- 58:15Speaker 1: It's about it, man, It's gonna be a couple about it.
- 58:17Speaker 1: And that ain't you got two choices? To move that
- 58:20Speaker 1: funeral or to reimburse me back the thirty thousand dollars
- 58:23Speaker 1: out of an hour to spend those only two choices.
- 58:25Speaker 1: I want to hear about it. Meet me at the
- 58:26Speaker 1: front door to night with a thirty thousand dollar cash
- 58:29Speaker 1: your check always said to have this win up in
- 58:31Speaker 1: the to morrow. Marning. You heard me. I ain't playing.
- 58:34Speaker 1: I ain't playing at all. No jokes. That's wrong with y'all. Man,
- 58:38Speaker 1: You can do something else. Understand that nothing. I don't
- 58:41Speaker 1: want to hear from you. Man. All I'm saying is
- 58:44Speaker 1: it's gonna be a win. At this church tomorrow without
- 58:47Speaker 1: the did about it. That's all I'm saying. Push it
- 58:50Speaker 1: to the band man. There's there's one more, a bit
- 58:53Speaker 1: of an issue that I need to tell you. Also,
- 58:54Speaker 1: what can be worse than a dead about it? What
- 58:57Speaker 1: issue can be worse? Dead boy? That wing man? The issue, sir,
- 59:01Speaker 1: that is worse than the dead body? Heals this deals
- 59:04Speaker 1: a few times from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your
- 59:07Speaker 1: best man, Jeff got me the prank phone call you
- 59:12Speaker 1: so what what you know what? Babe? The bench man
- 59:20Speaker 1: about to get the best bloop when he can possibly
- 59:22Speaker 1: get man playing? Then God lead that day. Just get
- 59:32Speaker 1: the bist beat down possible band. I'll tell you, Hey,
- 59:35Speaker 1: one more question. What's the baddest radio show in the land?
- 59:38Speaker 1: Ran the Steve Harve Good Morning Show. Babe, you're listening
- 59:42Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Martin Show. It's that time. Buckle up,
- 59:55Speaker 1: hold on tight st baron. Let subject how to put
- 59:59Speaker 1: your man on black? Asked about being a liar. I
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: read the book and of course I loved it. I've
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: been dating a guy for a year and of course
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: in the early stages it's all good. Then I started
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: demanding that we start doing more things than just him
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: coming to my house more often than going to his
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: see he lives about one hour giver take. I've been
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: to his house, but we didn't stay. We stayed at
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: a hotel, but the city was doing work on the street,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: hot water gone gas off. The thing is he asked
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: me to move, then I told him I would. He
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: claims he wants to get married, But now I think
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: about it, if it was the serious, if it was
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: that serious, he would have already asked. Right, we haven't
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: spent any holidays together. He always comes the next day
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: with the excuse I had to work my second job,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: the kid's mother just dropped them off, or my family
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: kidnapped me. So I wait a couple of days and ask, so,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: what what did you and the kids do? Then? Oh,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: they left with their mother. I went to sleep. Oh
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: and he went to sleep. I guess she's saying. He
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: told me he had been divorced for about a year,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: but more and more I don't believe him. So should
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: I ask him a date of divorce or asked to
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: see the papers? Or should I just leave it alone?
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I mean, you know you can ask for a date
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: of divorce. You can ask to see the papers. But
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: bottom line, this man is married. Okay, wake up. I
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: mean you know you said that. Um, you read and
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: love Steve's book. Well remember the part in Steve's book
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: about getting to know the man, about asking certain questions
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: before you know you give out the cookie and all that. Well,
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: obviously you've done none of this, and uh, there's some
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: major clues in this letter. In a year of dating,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: he only came to your house. You went to his
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: house but didn't stay, and then you went to a
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: hotel instead. I mean, didn't you find that kind of
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: odd rather strange? You know, you don't spend any holidays together.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: He comes over the day after he is so married
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: this man. You know that's a major clue. No holidays,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: all of that. So so what are you doing on
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: holidays sitting at home waiting on him to call you?
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: I mean, come on, Yes, he's lying to you. Forget
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: what he says, it's about what he does. This man
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: is just married, and you deserve so much better. Clues
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: are all in this letter, Steve, Um, how to put
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: your man on blasts about being a liar. That's gonna
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: be so many men just gonna be honest. Oh, man,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: just forgive me. That's what I him. Um, ladies, Um, yeah,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: is it? Is it really all the time that your
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: man is lying? Or is it you don't want to
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: just trust and believe the truth about yourself and what
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: you already know. See, sometimes it don't necessarily have to
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: be a lie. See. So okay, I'm gonna walk you
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: through this now, this one right here, ladies, I'm gonna
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: tell you we've have a few problems already. Know because
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: what I'm finished sharing with you now you probably ain't
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: gonna like it again. But here go to deal though. Um,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: they're early stages of relationship. Is good. Then you started
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: demanding that we started doing more things than just him
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: coming to your house. Uh, he lives about an hour away.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: You've been to his house, but you didn't stay. You
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: stayed at a hotel, you say, But the city was
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: doing work on the street, hot water, gone gas, all
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: on the whole street on the weekend. You there, and
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: who tad street up on weekends. I'm just asking you know,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: we're doing we're doing We're not doing math. We're doing
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: a rhythmetic. We're doing one plus one is okay? Now
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: you stay at a hotel Uh. The thing is, he
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: asked me to move, and I told him I would,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: and he claims he wants to get married. But now
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I think about it, was he that serious. If he
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: was serious, he would have already asked right. No, not
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: necessarily true. You know, sometimes women off the times want
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: to get married long before the guy asked. So you
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: can't use that. That can't be your thought process. We
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: haven't spent any holidays together. He always comes the next
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: day with the excuse I had to work my second job.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: The kid's mother just dropped them off, and my family
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: kidnapped me. What Okay. Now, here's the part that I
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: want women to get. This is the truth about every
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: single living man. This is how we are. Are you
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: ready for this. I'm a man prioritizes everything. We put
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: everything on a list of importance and in the order
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: that it is important to us. I don't care who
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: he is or what he tells you. What matters to us.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: We listed in our minds and that's how we go
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: about taking business. Take care of business. So, ladies, if
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: you feel in second, it's usually because you are second.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Now that ain't always a bad thing, if you just
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: you just need to know what you second to. Now,
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: if you're second to the job, you gotta understand that.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Don't us always think cause you second something wrong? And
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: I got you want to be first, and you got
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: every right to want that. But if a man trying
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: to get his money right, you fit to be second
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: to that. Please understand that, because that's too critical to
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: us to determine who we are. So now I know
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: that he prioritizes. Now when we come back, I'm gonna
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: show you how to read the priority list that me
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: and make, and you determine if the priority is legitimate
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: or not. Cause that for a strawberry letter for you today.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Feel you're all right? After we'll be back. I got
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: more on the strawberry letter right after this. Don't go
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: no way, some guys. Guy, Uh, this strawberry looks here
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: we go, Uh, Folks, This lady right here knows something
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: it's going on, but she don't know what. Her man
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: doesn't doesn't spend enough time with us, she says. All
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: he does come to her house, she can't go to
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: his house when he go over there. They stay in
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: hotel caused hot water and gases off all the time,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: and um never sees the man on holidays, and Uh says,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: just because of his second job. The kid's mother has
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: just dropped the famine off and they kidnapped me. I
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: can't spend no time. But he showed up a couple
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: of days later he says he's been divorced about a year.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: The ladies starting to say, she don't believe it. Uh,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Should she asked for a date of divorce, or see
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: if the papers are intact for the divorce? Or should
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: I just leave it alone? Ma'am? Women all the time
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: ignore the one God given gifted He's given to all women.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: And that's intuition what I was saying before. Here's what
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: you can know about. Men always prioritize everything, and if
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: you're feeling second, ladies, it's usually because you are second. Now,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: being second ain't a bad thing. It just depends on
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: what you second to see. If you got to be
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: second to the job, you have to understand it as
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: bad as you want to be number one. But please
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: let me help you understand something. Until a man gets
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: his finances in order, until he gets his direction clear
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: about who he is, then you can forget him being
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: to you what you need to be, because he first
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: has to fulfill himself, and he gonna do that first. Now,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: as wrong as that may sound, he has got to
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: get that in order. So, ladies, those are you just
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: feeling like you second to a man's job, Please understand,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: But this is how you determine if you are second
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: to a job, Because here's the fact about us that
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: a lot of y'all don't know. A man tries to
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: make more money so he can be more. We make
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: more so we can be more. Here is the thing
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: about money that a lot of people do not understand.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Money allows you to be more of who you really are.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: So if your man truly has a second job, he
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: is making more money so he can be more to somebody. Now,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: if you ain't seeing him on the holidays and you
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: ain't going nowhere except he coming to your house, he's
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: making the extra money to be more to who. Well,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: they damn show, ain't you you? So Now, once again
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: we're doing arithmetic. One and one is too. Maybe the
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: kids is living better, maybe the kids mama living better.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Somebody living better causing the two jobs. But it ain't
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: you though. So now you're not only second to the job,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: you second to the kids and the ex wife and
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: now you're a third. Probably I think he's still married
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: all right. Today's letter is posted on Steve Harvey dot com.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: Uh so crazy, Steve. You can tweet your Instagram and
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: your thoughts at my girls. Surely now coming up after

- 1:10:24Speaker 1: to men's what well, you know, women's salaries might be
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: playing catch up. Me and my wife has been a
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: majority of momay. I think she just keep making me

- 1:11:02Speaker 1: you need from that guy, big time, palm hold deliver
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: black pipe makes burn had the checks in and it
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: takes it down for the five point League, no timeouts, Gonzaga,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: it's stolen and North Carolina's power was seven seconds to
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: go the game deciding sequence and this year the confetti
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: it's gonna fall for North Carolina. They're not gonna be
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: denied this time. Congratulations to finals champ North Carolina, Tar
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Heels or somebody. Then we're gonna have the latest on
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: the eighty five bridge collapse. Crackhead burned it down in Atlanta.
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: That is the wildest story man and burn the whole. Yeah. Man,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: they had their brother on camera. I would damn though,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: we probably wear a free him. Yeah, we go from
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: him and he got Yeah, he got housed, he got
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Howard food. Wow, he came up. Damn bro boy. Just
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: the worst thing that happened to the city. Probably the
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: best thing he happened. And he's gonna be able to
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: go cold Turkey and get all dressed. What a story.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, here she is. Please, welcome to the show,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: the Lovely, the Talented, our very own this and trip.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Thank you, Thanks Steve. He introduces me. Sounds like somebody big.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: I like that. Good morning, everybody with the news, everybody
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: talking good morning, sweethearts, God morning, everybody. You know this
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: is real big. The Senate Judiciary Committee has approved Neil
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: Gorser's court nomination and send it to the full Senate
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: for a final vote sometime this week. Now, the vote
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: was strictly along party line, so it appears to move
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: the full Senate toward a partisan showdown later this week
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: when the final vote is taken. That Democrats say they
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: have enough votes to filibuster gorsers shoes confirmation. Senate Republican
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: leader Mitch McConnell says he's not shocked, but not entirely surprising,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: given that the Democratic leader announced before the nomination was
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: even made. It was hard for him to imagine a
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: nominee this president would nominate that he could support. Of course,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: Mr McConnell led his party into not even considering President
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Obama's choice for the High Court slot, accusing to even
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: allow a courtesy call from foreign President Obama's nominee for
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: almost a year, and Democrats say that was like a
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: year filibustering a Democrat extended lead to Suck Schumer's calling
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: the Republicans to with the nominee that all size can support.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Georgia Governor Nathan Deal says he's looking for more money
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: from the federal government to help prepare a heavily travel
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: section of that collapsed last week due to a fire.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Was a three hundred fifty foot section of concrete, and
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: the blaze allegedlie caused by an admitted crack addict named
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: thirty nine year old Basil Elobi. He's also homeless by
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: the way. Ellerb faces charges the first degree arson and
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: criminal damage to property. So he's in jail. I guess
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: he's getting three hots in the cotton. Now. Fifty years
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: ago today, the Reverend Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Delivered
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: a strong takedown of America's military invention in Vietnam. Comes
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: when silence is betrayal. I speak as a child of
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: God and brother to the suffering poor of Vietnam. That
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: was delivered at Harlem's Riverside Church April four, nineteen sixty seven.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: On April four nine, Dr King was assassinated. Today's National
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: Vitamin C Day to National hug a Newsperson day, yet
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: really is It's also a National rat Day. I think
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: that has something to do with it and National Guardian
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: angels Day. Good morning. This is and Tripathy Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: Give it right, Thank you, miss Anne. Now, when we
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: come back from the break at forty eight after the hour,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: our financial contributor Purchas Washington will be here. She's gonna
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: discuss women's salaries are still playing catch up to men's salaries.
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: It is National Equal Pay Day. Ladies, you're listening to
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hey as promise, Our financial
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: contributor Patrese Washington, along with Shirley and Carlin, is gonna
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: discuss National Equal pay Day. Financial contributor Patrese Washington is
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: here uh to help bring awareness to a National Equal
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Pay Day. Women earn less on average than men, They
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: must work harder for the same amount of pay, and
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: the wage gap is even greater for most women of color.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: Shirley Carlin, our financial contributor Patrese Washington are here to
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: discuss this. Good morning, Patrese, taken away, Shirley, you got it.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: Good morning. Finally someone who's speaking our language, who standing
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: up for the women the sisterhood. As morning, Patrese. That
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Steve mentioned today is National Equal Pay Day nationwide to
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: highlight how wages differ between men and women, and joining
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: us this morning is our resident financial expert. We have
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: to give you the proper introduction, Patrese and best selling author.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: She is joining us to talk a bit about national
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Equal pay Day and to introduce her. I can earn
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: more movement, Let's find out more. Please welcome to the show,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: our friend, our financial guru, the one and only Miss
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Patrese Washington. Good morning, Good morning, Carlo. I'm trying to Patrese, Patrese,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Patrese speak louder for us, please, Yeah, can you hear
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: me now? We can hear you, Okay. I think it's
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: because I'm so pumped up. I just came off Twitter
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: where I saw men tweeting about the fact that equal
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: pay Day is a myth and it's not real. So
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: I'm a little ticked off that. Yeah, I work with
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: women every day who will come and tell me that
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: they know for a fact that the male who has
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: the same job title as them is getting paid more
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: that if they're a woman of color, they know that
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: a majority woman is getting paid more money for the
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: exact same job title or same job duty. So this
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: is not a myth. This is real, and this translates
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: into women essentially earning seventy seven percent of what her
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: male counterpart earns for similar positions, and if she's a
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: woman of color, that percentage decreases. So I'm I'm picked
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: off about it and should be you let me find
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: out that Junior and Tommy and Steve are getting well
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Steve okay, I'm Steve does get paid more than we do.
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Junior get paid more to us? Oh after that? All right?
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: Today is National Equal Pay Day, Patrese. Now is this
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: a fairly new national day? What exactly does it symbolize? How?
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: How can we, you know, take advantage of this to
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: the fullest? Patrese? What today symbolizes is the day where
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: a woman will finally make what a mail made December.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: So essentially with this day is saying that a woman
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: had to work another three months and some change into
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: the next year to make what a man made on
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: average last year by the end of last year. And
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: so what causes this disparity is the fact that a
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: lot of people will say, and this is why they say,
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: there's a myth, well, women choose lower paying jobs, men
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: choose with your careers, and they attribute to the wage
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: gap to differences in the amount of work experience, which
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: could be true because we also are out of the
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: workforce more because usually we need to have children for periods.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Thank you take care of our parents, But that only
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: accounts for sixty to seventy of the pay gaps. And
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: what I really wanted to do was address where the
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: research says that women are also not asking for more.
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: We're not negotiating our salary. A lot of us are
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: taking the first salary offer to us. But what happens
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: is over the course of our career, we could lose
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: five hundred and thirty thousand dollars up to eight hundred
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: thousand dollars if we do not start negotiating earlier, which
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: is why I created to Earn More Money movement for women.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: Let's talk about that, Patrese, you have launched the I
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: Will Earn More movement and I can Earn More dot com.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Tell us about it. You hear the music, but tell
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: us about the I Will Earn More movement. We want
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: to get involved. The first part of the movement is
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: about taking the pledge, because this is the mindset. As women,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: we have to have the mindset that we are bold

- 1:27:18Speaker 1: that works up at the front of the church on
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: Wednesdays when um, the regular secretary is not here. We
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: have had a moment on Wednesday being hump day. Okay,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: and then let me say that I have been with
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: Sister peur Lean Patterson head on the usher board on
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: several occasions myself. Yeah, I did not know that we
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: are got involved. We were both wearing white gloves. Your turn, decent,
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: Mmr Jim Miller. Do you remember how he used to
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: lead the song in the choir and one day we
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: actually had a robe exposing relationship. De Rob and I
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: said the fact man. And then I'd like to point
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: out a relationship our head with sister Darchelle McAfee was
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: the woman that hid all the Easter eggs for the
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: kids on Easter egg Hunt. And she was been over
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: hiding the edge and I couldn't help your turn crazy.
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: I don't know if you remember she says cakes and
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: ties after church, your Gondolin sister Ugandol and Wilson, do
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: you remember how Oh? Yes, well there was a moment
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: where I didn't have my money from passed, but I
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: paid in other ways if you understand. Also, there was
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: one opportunity I had with sister fraud Line Wilkerson was
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: at the car wash raising money for the building for
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: I just pulled up in my Cadillac and her T
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: shirt was wet. That was the very first or wet
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: T shirt contest ever food by the church. And she
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: was leaning over with the sponge washing the hood of
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: my car and I was on the inside and Lord
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: had messed him. Donals was mastered up. Get I rolled
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: a wonder down and started on the door. Go ahead, yes,
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: my sister, let's to say this, Sister Alexa, say this Pastor.
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: I used to work in the I'm sorry shared its
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: sister Lexa say this. She worked in the college in
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: the parking ministry, parking lot ministry, and one day we
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: cracked that trunk on one of them calls and laid
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: back down. But the problem was is that the trunk
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: closed on us. Other than her head being pressed up
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: against this bad time, we had a great moment and
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: also the last one in our African outreach Minish African
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: Outreach Ministry. I had flew into the Soudan and I
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: met Mersh Shawn under Buganda from Rowanda. I said, I
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: met Buganda from row and we had an affail at
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: the Rowanda Hotel. That's where I met Don Cheetah. Until
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: with Don Cheetah in Dog Skinned Chicken in the background,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: that's tell me you wouldn't have done it everything you
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: just did. These are officer fails that we've had and
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: come to a confessionary form at the church. Won't you
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: won't you join us today in reminiscing going down in
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: the words of Minny Rippleton, back down memory lay, I
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: thought I saw a photograph. Come on a seven seven
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: twenty nine, Steve. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:32:09Speaker 1: days time for the back to back, James, come on,
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: let's go, we go back. We got time for this
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: one more thing. We don't have a full day to day.
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: Were crazy day talk it out, talk it out. You're
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. We're back four d
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: eight minutes after the hour. We come back. We got
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: time for just one more thing. Asked me, what the
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: one more thing gonna be? What's the one more thing's
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: gonna be? I don't know. You know, this is what
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: it is, Steve. When you're looking for a boost in
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: the bedroom, it could be as close as your next meal.
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: Here's some foods. Now, these are foods that can help
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: you spice up your sex life. You're ready. Yeah, we
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: already heard about oysters. And the reason oysters are good
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: for your sex life is because they've got a lot
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: of zinc. And if men are low and zinc, you
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: gotta eat. I didn't try, you try. You're trying the oyster?
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: All right? Maybe you like this one salmon? Uh, it's
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: packed with omega threes that helps keep the blood flowing
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: like it should, you know, keep your energy up. All
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: of that steak high and iron. Tell me you like steak.
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: It's high and iron. It helps your stress and energy levels.
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: Would you say on steak? Yeah, but anyway, it's just
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: up my steak in take My blood type requires more meat, Yeah,
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: yeah I do. I don't fish, but I do really
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: well all on meat. Other good sources of iron are nuts, eggs, broccoli,
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: and cereal, just so you'll know. And asparagus. The B
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: vitamins and asparagus help with your circulation. So just so
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: you know that. Okay, Yeah, but when you go to
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: the bathroom a asparagus something else? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: does something through your pH to your pH balance or something.
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: I do something to your pa anyway, I was trying
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: to be discreet. Yeah, but you different. You'd be standing
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: there when you come back up on you your knees buckle.
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: You think you're sick or something. Yeah, you think you
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: p and in a public outhouse, you have a step
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: through working construction toilets, the little portupo just yourself. I
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: can't dog. I don't know who uses the bad foom
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: in the porter party. I mean you have to use it.
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: Use it. There's no way I'm been to sit in
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: this box. Now, that's right before a porter party right
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: in my truck, right there in my true yeah dog
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: McDonald's cup first anything, but then yeah, i'd you know
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: the cup trail you get. Yeah, yeah, I use a
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: bad foom in that before I go in that quarter party. Alright, alright, okay,
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: I'll sit on my glove compartment and go right in
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: there and shut that dope until I figured and shut
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: the dope. Just shut it up in there, that dough man,
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: and throw that little Christmas tree down. I got hanging
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: on my rear view mirror Christmas tree. And yeez, let's
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: move on. Water, water, if you up the center console,
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: let's sit right there. You know how they got all
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: them USB ports and that you go right there? All right,
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: we're still talking about foods now that can boost up
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: your sex life. Water, as I mentioned, being hydrated keeps
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: you from feeling is stressed and fatigued, so it helps
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: to rev up your sex drive as well. Um Oranges,
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: they say, and tangerines really high in vitamin B and stuff,
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: and when you're low in this vitamin, it can lead
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: to low moods, which doesn't help you know your sex game. Okay,
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: oats oats like oatmeal and stuff like that. It lowers
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: your cholesterol and that keeps your arteries clogged from being clogged. Okay,
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: then all on my nights stand, I got oats and
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: tangerines and throughout the day. Not in your nights stand,
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: I thought falling out. We didn't take a bite out
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: before we get I don't know how to work steak steak,
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: and it's just it's you, damn it just too much.
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: You're not bad this room spell nothing now? Walnuts? Tell
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: me walnuts a great source of omega threes and vitamin E.
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: Both are good for the heart, which keeps your energy
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: level up and your blood moving to all your parts. Okay,
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: so you want to keep your bad room smell like
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: a fish market with a second, just hold right hand
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: side of croke. Get everything on this right And then
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: surprisingly they're saying coffee is good their health benefits to coffee.
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: It can, it can. Why Why do you say that
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: because I drink coffee. Yeah, it says it can recharge
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: your energy after a romantic dinner, so you won't be
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: sleepy and you can enjoy the rest of your evening.
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Yeah, Like I'm gonna workout
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: today with Lee Haney. Man, something to do about me?
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: Four expressos, I do a quadruple expresso and going down there. Yeah,
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: I'll tell you, I like a double if you ain't
