- 0:12Speaker 1: giving the move like theming buck bus things and its
- 0:17Speaker 1: coust doing me true good Steve ha listening to mogether
- 0:26Speaker 1: for ste Please, I don't join joined me to be
- 0:53Speaker 1: with me. You gotta turn huring the You gotta turn
- 1:40Speaker 1: to turn, got to turn out to turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water come come on your back that uh huh.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I shall well. Good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now, One and only Steve Arvie
- 2:09Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man, old Man. Old Man symbolizes
- 2:14Speaker 1: just one thing to me. Man, It's just a constant
- 2:16Speaker 1: remind of exactly how good God has been to me
- 2:19Speaker 1: over the years. And I'm thank him for it too,
- 2:22Speaker 1: because I realize every day that I wake up that
- 2:24Speaker 1: I would be nothing without him. That everything I am
- 2:28Speaker 1: that's any good in me, I owe to him. Now.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Have I made some mistakes along the way, yep, bunches,
- 2:36Speaker 1: bunches and bunches, And will I continue to make mistakes
- 2:40Speaker 1: along the way yep? Not as many, hopefully as I
- 2:45Speaker 1: have in the past, because a lot of stuff. I
- 2:48Speaker 1: know better now, but you're still going to make mistakes now,
- 2:53Speaker 1: you know. Hopefully I've limited the amount of intentional errors
- 2:59Speaker 1: in my life. I've wiped quite a few of those out,
- 3:03Speaker 1: but from time to time, because we're human, we're going
- 3:06Speaker 1: to make a mistake every now and then. The trick
- 3:09Speaker 1: what it is, y'all, it's not to let the devil
- 3:12Speaker 1: deceive you into thinking that once you make that mistake
- 3:14Speaker 1: that that's it. You can't do it. You're falling off
- 3:17Speaker 1: the wagon. You can't reboard it. That's the biggest trick
- 3:22Speaker 1: that he uses. He makes you think that if you
- 3:25Speaker 1: keep stumbling, that you can't run the race. It kind
- 3:32Speaker 1: of reminds me of a marathon runner. From time to
- 3:36Speaker 1: time I watch him on TV, and you'll see some
- 3:39Speaker 1: people who finish the race, you know, in a in
- 3:44Speaker 1: a nice pace. You see people finish the race sprinting
- 3:49Speaker 1: towards the finished line. But every now and then you'll
- 3:52Speaker 1: watch a marathon and you'll see a runner and the
- 3:57Speaker 1: runner is in really really bad jape. The key is
- 4:04Speaker 1: they finish the race. See, you don't get disqualified in
- 4:09Speaker 1: the marathon because you stumble, You don't. They don't. They
- 4:13Speaker 1: don't take your opportunity to finish the race because you
- 4:19Speaker 1: keep falling. That's not the key. The key is finishing.
- 4:24Speaker 1: And a lot of times what the devil does is
- 4:26Speaker 1: he makes you think that because you keep stumbling, because
- 4:30Speaker 1: you're swaying from side to side, that you know you
- 4:34Speaker 1: out the race. Well, that's not the case. And see
- 4:38Speaker 1: and then this thing called life, let me help you
- 4:40Speaker 1: understand something. Everybody falls. Nobody sprints to the tape in
- 4:44Speaker 1: this one. Nobody just runs free and clear as some
- 4:48Speaker 1: people running faster than you and all like this. And
- 4:52Speaker 1: some people gonna get to the end before you let
- 4:54Speaker 1: them go ahead. And when the end come, the end come.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I ain't in the rush to get to the end.
- 4:59Speaker 1: But in this race, though, when you're stumbling and you're falling,
- 5:02Speaker 1: it's a part of it. No one gets through this
- 5:06Speaker 1: race without stumbling and falling, swaying from side to side.
- 5:09Speaker 1: So don't let the enemy deceive you into thinking that
- 5:14Speaker 1: it's over. I try to be encouraging to people because
- 5:19Speaker 1: I don't want people to get stuck on this thing,
- 5:22Speaker 1: you know, And my walk is very different from a
- 5:25Speaker 1: lot of people's walks. And then I know a lot
- 5:27Speaker 1: of people who walking in faith the way I'm walking
- 5:29Speaker 1: in faith. But my thing in the morning is just
- 5:32Speaker 1: to remind those that is not a perfect walk man,
- 5:35Speaker 1: that it's not something that's set up where you're gonna
- 5:39Speaker 1: be skipping through life scot free without any pitfalls. You know,
- 5:44Speaker 1: I keep saying it over and over and over again because,
- 5:47Speaker 1: like I said, when I was in DC, my boy
- 5:50Speaker 1: Hondo said this to me, and it just kind of
- 5:53Speaker 1: stuck with me that the road to construct, the road
- 5:55Speaker 1: to successes always under construction. You have to figure and
- 6:00Speaker 1: count on the setbacks and the pitfalls. But it's those
- 6:04Speaker 1: people that that that that fight through will be the
- 6:09Speaker 1: victors in the end. You cannot give up, man, Stop
- 6:12Speaker 1: going somewhere sitting down every time something goes down. It's
- 6:17Speaker 1: going to go down. It's a part of it. It's
- 6:21Speaker 1: going to happen. It's going to occur that are going
- 6:25Speaker 1: to be setbacks. If you go and sit down every
- 6:28Speaker 1: time there's a setback, that's not how this works. It
- 6:33Speaker 1: is designed that way. If success were easy, everybody would
- 6:38Speaker 1: be successful. But success is just reserved for those who
- 6:43Speaker 1: are willing to fight through, who refuse to settle for mediocrity,
- 6:48Speaker 1: who wants something more. Now, don't get me wrong. Success
- 6:52Speaker 1: is defined by each individual. So what I may consider
- 6:56Speaker 1: to be successful, you may not consider that. You know
- 7:00Speaker 1: what Bill Gates considers successful. I might not consider what
- 7:04Speaker 1: Michael Jordan considers successful. I might not consider what you
- 7:08Speaker 1: consider successful. Your boss might not consider. You have to
- 7:12Speaker 1: define what that is for yourself. It may not be
- 7:15Speaker 1: monetary at all. You know, your level of success could
- 7:19Speaker 1: be tied up in community service. It could be tied
- 7:22Speaker 1: up in family. It could be tied up into church.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Your level of success could be tied up into boys clubs.
- 7:30Speaker 1: It could be any number of things. Whatever your level
- 7:33Speaker 1: of success is, you have to determine what that is
- 7:37Speaker 1: you and the best way to determine that is to
- 7:40Speaker 1: get in touch with your maker, who created you, to
- 7:44Speaker 1: find out what your mission and your purpose is so
- 7:48Speaker 1: he can put you on track. I just had this
- 7:51Speaker 1: conversation with my son and we were talking about getting
- 7:55Speaker 1: on the path that God has set up for you.
- 7:58Speaker 1: So many times we find ourselves fighting through life because
- 8:02Speaker 1: of so much uncertainty, because we have no idea where
- 8:07Speaker 1: we're headed. It's like one of my own sayings that
- 8:12Speaker 1: I have at my mentoring camp for boys is is
- 8:15Speaker 1: that a boy without a male role model is like
- 8:20Speaker 1: an explorer without a map. See if you don't have
- 8:26Speaker 1: a map laid out in front of you of where
- 8:29Speaker 1: you're going when you wake up every day. That pretty
- 8:34Speaker 1: much explains the feeling of confusion, the laxadaisical attitude, the
- 8:42Speaker 1: lack of purpose, to not understanding your mission because you
- 8:47Speaker 1: don't have not gotten in touch with your creator to
- 8:51Speaker 1: find out exactly what your path in life is. What
- 8:55Speaker 1: are you supposed to be doing? The moment you can
- 8:58Speaker 1: identify that it is the moment that you get started
- 9:02Speaker 1: waking up with purpose, with the sense of direction. When
- 9:06Speaker 1: you kill the sense of I don't know what's next
- 9:09Speaker 1: or what to do. Now, there's going to be some
- 9:11Speaker 1: confusing moments no matter what happened, it's going to be
- 9:13Speaker 1: some uncertainty, but at least you'll know where you're going.
- 9:17Speaker 1: So if you're tied a waking up feeling loss, abandoned, confused,
- 9:22Speaker 1: don't know what to do, don't know what you're supposed
- 9:25Speaker 1: to be doing, refer back to your makeup. Because when
- 9:31Speaker 1: he created you, he had a plan for you. When
- 9:34Speaker 1: he created you, he had a path for you. Now
- 9:38Speaker 1: we've made some decisions to get off of both of those,
- 9:40Speaker 1: the mission and the path. But God can get you
- 9:44Speaker 1: right back on track. Do that today, asking what you're
- 9:48Speaker 1: supposed to be doing and listen. God has all the
- 9:53Speaker 1: answers if you form the relationship. Okay, you're listening, ladies, gentlemen,
- 10:05Speaker 1: people from all around the world. This show today is
- 10:10Speaker 1: dedicated to people who debate on what the greatest sport
- 10:15Speaker 1: in this country is just more fun to watch baseball, basketball,
- 10:19Speaker 1: or football? Those are who we are dedicating today's show
- 10:23Speaker 1: to sports fans who prefer one sport over the other.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Good morning, Shirley Strawberry. I know to you it don't
- 10:31Speaker 1: matter at all. Thank you. Someone knows me on this show.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Good morning, Steve. What's going on, Shirley? I'm sorry, Oh
- 10:45Speaker 1: you blacked out again. I'm talking about totally Colin here,
- 10:51Speaker 1: Good morning. We just got here. We can't be blocking out.
- 10:55Speaker 1: What's up? Junior? Morning? Up? Football? It is for me?
- 11:00Speaker 1: Hit somebody? Well, I agree. I agree. I like watching
- 11:05Speaker 1: football better than all of the World series. And I
- 11:09Speaker 1: like watching basketball doing the playoffs. Yeah yeah, I don't
- 11:13Speaker 1: care about it during the season. Really you hear the
- 11:15Speaker 1: Houstonians though, when you said the World Series. You heard that.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I know everybody in the DMV area like whatever, yea, yeah,
- 11:32Speaker 1: and I could care less because the Indians are Yeah,
- 11:39Speaker 1: that's right. And we're back in that drought we've been
- 11:43Speaker 1: in right on, back where we was. We had a
- 11:47Speaker 1: nice little run with Lebron. At least we was in
- 11:49Speaker 1: there every year. Now we man, we back out again.
- 11:52Speaker 1: The Browns ain't gonna be what they said they're gonna be.
- 11:55Speaker 1: They had a bye week last week. Now they playing
- 11:57Speaker 1: the Patriots. That's a damn loan. Man. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 12:04Speaker 1: unless unless unless unless five touchdown five that's all the
- 12:10Speaker 1: way to go in five miracles happen every day. Run two,
- 12:16Speaker 1: punch back, throw five touchdowns. I think we can get
- 12:18Speaker 1: him with seven and nine. I think we can beat
- 12:20Speaker 1: him with fifty six points. I love it. It's your possibility. Anything,
- 12:30Speaker 1: it's possible. Anything is possible. Who playing for Cavaliers right now?
- 12:34Speaker 1: We don't even know who on the rock at the
- 12:36Speaker 1: Lebron left. Hey, man, I don't know. Again, this is
- 12:45Speaker 1: Kyrie Irving's fault again. He had all of this, he
- 12:50Speaker 1: had behind down. Now he's in Brooklyn, so we'll see. Yeah,
- 12:57Speaker 1: we're getting good nasty. M m m hmm. What's gonna be? Yeah, Steve,
- 13:03Speaker 1: it's gonna be all right, No, it's not, surely, he depressed.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I ready this morning. No, No, it's not gonna be open,
- 13:13Speaker 1: not this damn year. You never know. The season's not
- 13:20Speaker 1: over yet. I'm just you know, i ain't done this
- 13:23Speaker 1: in a while, but I'm about to turn into a
- 13:25Speaker 1: lake of fan called Lebron Lebron yet. Okay, Cleveland boy, Yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 1: all right, well listen um coming up at thirty two

- 17:31Speaker 1: they don't. They don't free trust much, you know, but
- 17:33Speaker 1: we we we we were strong history. It's more powerful
- 17:38Speaker 1: sisters in history. Don't nobody know about. That's right? That's
- 17:41Speaker 1: good true banger that girl right thew girtrue bang. She
- 17:48Speaker 1: actually taught Bessie Ross Hotter soul. Wouldn't he handle flag?
- 17:52Speaker 1: Word for Gertrude beschel Rod white woman ain't know how
- 17:55Speaker 1: to show at all? She had made a quilt and

- 18:34Speaker 1: You thought, ain't your mamma was just a bottle? Boy?
- 18:38Speaker 1: You just as stupid as you want to be. Have
- 18:40Speaker 1: you ever had her pancakes junior syrup? And yeah, that
- 18:45Speaker 1: ain't what your famer fault. That's why she was the
- 18:50Speaker 1: first person to make a biscuit a biscuit. M hmm.
- 18:56Speaker 1: That's where she was famous for. She flattened them out
- 18:58Speaker 1: for white people because you know, they lived with then
- 19:00Speaker 1: they couldn't get around, so she flattened them out, flattened
- 19:05Speaker 1: them out of tourn them into play because we had
- 19:07Speaker 1: event plancakes for for for white people. Oh that's why
- 19:12Speaker 1: the nickname of flapjacks, cause they had small little they'd
- 19:16Speaker 1: have had flapjacks, they'd have been able to eat a biscuit.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Black people eating them biscuits and white folks said, I
- 19:23Speaker 1: showed one one of them, but couldn't get them little
- 19:25Speaker 1: as lips over the biscuits. So she mashed it down
- 19:29Speaker 1: and made a pancake and they started. Then they gave
- 19:31Speaker 1: her soup and everything, and then that whether the vicious history.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I'm telling you, yeah, like it's very I'm trying to
- 19:39Speaker 1: tell you. Well, I got a question for your sister.
- 19:44Speaker 1: You know you're doing you know all of this black
- 19:46Speaker 1: history moments. You know the World Series is going on too,
- 19:50Speaker 1: so anything baseball, baseball. Listen to me. Baseball used to
- 19:55Speaker 1: be all white men, just slow ass, and the black

- 26:40Speaker 1: You ain't ready for what. I think he got your land.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Your brothers don't know what's going on out here. You

- 26:55Speaker 1: your young I wah about their paper. You don't understand that?
- 26:59Speaker 1: And you so ready for no jail? Can I say

- 29:03Speaker 1: to Meg the Stallion, who just as her college mid terms.
- 29:07Speaker 1: That's really good news. She's a Texas Southern University student.
- 29:11Speaker 1: She responded to one of her Twitter followers who wished
- 29:13Speaker 1: her good luck on her test, tweeting back, I've passed.
- 29:16Speaker 1: That's all the proof Meg's fans needed that the Hot
- 29:19Speaker 1: Girls summer has turned into a hot girl semester. Meg
- 29:23Speaker 1: is majoring in healthcare administration and dreams of opening assistant
- 29:27Speaker 1: living facilities in her home city of Houston, Texas. All right, yeah, very,
- 29:37Speaker 1: I've looked at the picture and I'm absolutely disgusted. What
- 29:42Speaker 1: do you mean You're disgusted? What do you mean? Because
- 29:44Speaker 1: I do not like all women and rappers that make
- 29:51Speaker 1: me feel this way? Why don't she take her ass?
- 29:56Speaker 1: So sit down for that girl's bad. That's a bad girl. Yeah,
- 30:04Speaker 1: body and brains and that's a combination. Yeah, come on, student,
- 30:15Speaker 1: I love Ace t exams. Congratulations going out to Meg
- 30:18Speaker 1: the Stallion. All right. In other entertainment, huh once they
- 30:28Speaker 1: started doing GM at school, I was downhill right all right?
- 30:36Speaker 1: Another entertainment news, our family, our friend Kevin Hart. Kevin
- 30:40Speaker 1: Hart has been spotted out and about after getting into
- 30:44Speaker 1: that major car accident last month. Kevin was at a
- 30:47Speaker 1: restaurant in Beverly Hills on Monday night alongside Jay Z,
- 30:51Speaker 1: Leonardo DiCaprio, and sports agent Rich Paul Uh. He was
- 30:56Speaker 1: out to play poker in a private room after dinner.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Kevin appeared to be in good spirits at the restaurant
- 31:02Speaker 1: and kept his hoodie up, talking to his friends while standing.
- 31:06Speaker 1: This is great news right here, man, it's great news.
- 31:09Speaker 1: That good to rehabilitation. And yeah, now he's out and about,
- 31:14Speaker 1: so that's great news. Congratulations Kevin. Where is Megan going
- 31:19Speaker 1: out there? Ega? I'm just really, Paul, you want to
- 31:27Speaker 1: meet No, I don't want to meet her or nothing.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I don't not at all that we have no reason
- 31:32Speaker 1: to me whatsoever. A matter of fact, I'm praying right
- 31:38Speaker 1: now that we never meet. I don't want to interview her.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Nothing standing round. That's funny, Stee, that's good news about
- 31:51Speaker 1: Kevin cam. I'm so happy for him. Yeah, that damn
- 31:57Speaker 1: mid turn. That's what you really ought to be congratulating
- 32:02Speaker 1: people on about to get damn cause Kevin was out
- 32:05Speaker 1: with a hoodie on. Give this girl her, dude for
- 32:08Speaker 1: passing this meda turn. We didn't give her enough love.
- 32:12Speaker 1: He show ain't what are you talking about? Kevin out
- 32:14Speaker 1: with a hoodie on? Kevin got money from molding a hoodie.
- 32:17Speaker 1: He could have wore cowboy hat. Kevin aint no damn
- 32:22Speaker 1: meda turn. Which where do we talk about this before
- 32:24Speaker 1: we're supposed to be promoting female in problement? Yes, yes,
- 32:28Speaker 1: yeah man, hot girl semester. Yeah yeah, it's hot Girl summer.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Uh huh yeah, she started all of that. Yeah, yeah,
- 32:42Speaker 1: we don't. We might be able to get her on
- 32:45Speaker 1: the show and congratulate her. No we're not. We can't
- 32:48Speaker 1: have her on the show. No, you're not. You're not
- 32:51Speaker 1: fitting to do that. All right, Steve, it's goning to
- 32:53Speaker 1: get the latest done today's headlines, Les. That's what we
- 32:56Speaker 1: need to do is go do this news with miss
- 32:58Speaker 1: and thank you miss A. Yeah, I'll take it from you, Steve.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Thank you. This is a trip of the news. This
- 33:05Speaker 1: is well, this is not bad news, but it's not
- 33:07Speaker 1: good news. In Alabama now, a six thousand dollar reward
- 33:10Speaker 1: is being offered for information leading to the whereabouts of
- 33:13Speaker 1: an adorable little black girl who banished from a birthday
- 33:16Speaker 1: party in Birmingham over the weekend. Police say the three
- 33:18Speaker 1: role Camille McKinney, a nickname is Cupcake. She was last
- 33:21Speaker 1: seen while attending an outdoor party where her parents and
- 33:25Speaker 1: other family members were also The FBI and other law
- 33:29Speaker 1: enforcements still believe the child is alive. Now their search
- 33:32Speaker 1: has wide into surrounding states. Meanwhile, the Birmingham Police Chief
- 33:35Speaker 1: appealing to the public for help and finding little Camille.
- 33:38Speaker 1: So far, two persons of interest have been taken into custody.
- 33:40Speaker 1: They're looking for this third person that's seen on video
- 33:43Speaker 1: that seems to be near him, another near her, a
- 33:45Speaker 1: little another man our Capitol Hill yesterday, a US envoy
- 33:49Speaker 1: to Ukraine told House investigators that President Trump did, in
- 33:53Speaker 1: fact want the release of US military aid to that
- 33:55Speaker 1: country in exchange for the Ukrainian president agreeing to look
- 33:59Speaker 1: for dirt on Joe Biden and his son. The top
- 34:01Speaker 1: US Ukrainian official, William Taylor, describe what he said was
- 34:04Speaker 1: a shadow policy for domestic and political reasons. Taylor's opening
- 34:08Speaker 1: statement was obtained by The Washington Post published online. Democrats
- 34:11Speaker 1: say Taylor's testimony proves at the White House is the
- 34:16Speaker 1: stuff that the White House has long denied is actually true. However,
- 34:19Speaker 1: the White House is calling it triple hearsay. Meanwhile, Capitol
- 34:22Speaker 1: Hill lawmakers, mostly rejecting one of President Trump's laid his
- 34:25Speaker 1: tweets on the impeachment inquiry, where he likens it to
- 34:28Speaker 1: a lynching. Even state leader Senate leader Mitch McConnell thinks
- 34:32Speaker 1: it was the wrong word to use given the history
- 34:34Speaker 1: in our country. I would not compare this to a lynching.
- 34:38Speaker 1: That was unfortunate choice of work. Chile says Trump could
- 34:42Speaker 1: have described it, perhaps by saying an unfair process. Teachers
- 34:45Speaker 1: on strike for the fifth day today in Chicago, affecting
- 34:48Speaker 1: more than three hundred thousand students at issue better pay
- 34:51Speaker 1: and better working conditions like smaller class sizes and more
- 34:55Speaker 1: staff to support the students. However, while Mayor Laurie Lightfoot
- 34:58Speaker 1: said she'd love to provide all that stuff, she says
- 35:01Speaker 1: she can't. CPS is recovering from severe financial instability just
- 35:06Speaker 1: two years ago. It's so barrowing hundreds of millions dollars
- 35:10Speaker 1: a year to pay its bills. Mayor Lotfoot try to
- 35:12Speaker 1: get the instructors back to work without a contract and
- 35:15Speaker 1: then said, you know, we'll work something out, but the
- 35:17Speaker 1: union wouldn't go for that. Meanwhile, city officials have been
- 35:19Speaker 1: keeping school buildings open for kids who have nowhere to
- 35:22Speaker 1: go during the day. At least twelve white supremacists have
- 35:25Speaker 1: been arrested for making threats against the Jewish community in
- 35:29Speaker 1: the years since that massacre at at Pittsburgh Synagogue that
- 35:32Speaker 1: left eleven people dead. According to the Anti Defamation League,
- 35:34Speaker 1: the white supremacists in question taken into custody for not
- 35:38Speaker 1: just threatening Jews, but also for carrying out several anti
- 35:41Speaker 1: Semitic incidents, including arson, vandalism and the distribution of neo
- 35:45Speaker 1: Nazi propaganda at Jewish institutions. Fall President Jimmy Carter said
- 35:48Speaker 1: to be recuperating very nicely after suffering a pelvic fracture
- 35:51Speaker 1: in a fall today as national annoying that now back
- 35:57Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, you're listening and trending
- 36:03Speaker 1: political news. President Trump referred to the impeachment proceedings against
- 36:07Speaker 1: him as a lynching oh boy in a tweet yesterday,
- 36:13Speaker 1: sparking outrage for using such a racially charged word to
- 36:17Speaker 1: describe his political predicament. Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Acasio Cortez AOC
- 36:24Speaker 1: is outraged and said the President is using the word
- 36:27Speaker 1: lynching to rile up his base, no matter how divisive
- 36:30Speaker 1: it is to the country. Now, why would he take
- 36:34Speaker 1: that word because he doesn't care. He doesn't care. He
- 36:39Speaker 1: will do anything he thinks. Anything he does is okay
- 36:43Speaker 1: because it applies. It's nothing like a lynching. This is
- 36:47Speaker 1: not what this is. This is actually this is mob
- 36:50Speaker 1: hangs you from a tree. Yeah, this is how dare
- 36:53Speaker 1: you say? All those people who political procedure and then
- 36:59Speaker 1: his boy, what's the House speaker McConnell. McConnell supported him
- 37:05Speaker 1: after over one hundred some lensions in his state, and
- 37:07Speaker 1: he knows what a lynchion is because they've had over
- 37:09Speaker 1: a hundred in his state. So I'm not impressed with
- 37:13Speaker 1: any of these people. We've got to get out and vote,
- 37:16Speaker 1: and I don't care what happens. We've got to turn
- 37:18Speaker 1: out in large number. We got to win these states
- 37:20Speaker 1: where we're supposed to wear. I don't know what's wrong
- 37:22Speaker 1: with South Carolina. I don't know what makes them such
- 37:24Speaker 1: a red state. I just don't. Oh, you're talking about
- 37:29Speaker 1: Lindsay Graham too. Yeah, I don't get that. I don't
- 37:34Speaker 1: get Ohio tripping the way they tripped in all in
- 37:38Speaker 1: rural areas, man, I get I get sick or not.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Mississippi has no business voting Republican, none none. They do
- 37:48Speaker 1: nothing for you when they get in office, last in education,
- 37:52Speaker 1: lasting jobs, they do nothing for the state of Mississippi
- 37:57Speaker 1: except take care of the politicians so that they get Richard.
- 38:00Speaker 1: The state of Mississippi suffers like no other state when
- 38:04Speaker 1: it comes to funding and everything, education, everything. How can
- 38:09Speaker 1: you possibly keep voting for people who do nothing for you?
- 38:13Speaker 1: That's amazing to me. Yeah you can't. Yeah, or you know,
- 38:21Speaker 1: in the local election or yeah, or not being interested.
- 38:24Speaker 1: I mean that goes for everyone to know. This app
- 38:27Speaker 1: everybody to get involved, you know, get in the game.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Your vote matters. You know, all these years you've been
- 38:34Speaker 1: thinking that it doesn't count. It counts. You're a vote,
- 38:37Speaker 1: Your one vote counts. It can make a difference in
- 38:41Speaker 1: these elections. I mean, the President of the United States
- 38:47Speaker 1: use the word lynching to talk about impeachments. How does
- 38:53Speaker 1: that all go together? Because he's ignorant. Yeah, he's ignorant.
- 38:58Speaker 1: That was an ignorant state. He don't care at all,
- 39:02Speaker 1: and he doesn't care. He doesn't care as long as
- 39:04Speaker 1: he gets said what he wants to say and try
- 39:06Speaker 1: to get the effect, and his bases say, okay, well,
- 39:09Speaker 1: whatever he does, he could do no wrong to his base.
- 39:11Speaker 1: That's this is a sad state. He really Yeah, all right, Well,
- 39:17Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four after the hour, Michael Jordan
- 39:19Speaker 1: said that Steph Curry is not a Hall of Famer
- 39:22Speaker 1: yet yet you're listening, okay. Yesterday we told you the
- 39:31Speaker 1: great news about Michael Jordan opening two clinics in North
- 39:34Speaker 1: Carolina for the underprivileged in that community. Well, during an
- 39:38Speaker 1: interview with Craig Melvine from The Today Show, Greig asked
- 39:42Speaker 1: Michael Jordan about basketball, of course, and who would have
- 39:46Speaker 1: top four choices to be in a pickup game? Take
- 39:49Speaker 1: a listen to this. Four guys for your pickup team.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Four guys that you play anybody else with her chemolized one,
- 39:56Speaker 1: Magic Johnson, Scottie Pippen and James Worthy. That was six
- 39:59Speaker 1: years ago. What's happening in the league in six years?
- 40:01Speaker 1: Would you keep the same for in a heartbeat? When
- 40:03Speaker 1: I'm going into trenches I played against and with all
- 40:07Speaker 1: these guys I'm going to I know every single night
- 40:10Speaker 1: that responsibility go out there and represent greatness every single night.
- 40:14Speaker 1: So Steph Curry shouldn't be offended when he launches, I
- 40:17Speaker 1: hope not. How are you still a great player? Not
- 40:19Speaker 1: a Hall of Famer yet though? Well, the only reason
- 40:28Speaker 1: he's not a Hall of Famer. Yeah, it's because he's
- 40:30Speaker 1: still played. Oh is that what he meant by that
- 40:35Speaker 1: he's not a Hall of Famer yet because he still played.
- 40:38Speaker 1: You kill, you don't get in the hall until your
- 40:40Speaker 1: career is finished. Steph Curry will be in the Hall
- 40:43Speaker 1: of Famers. That greatest shooter, yeah, ever lived to this date.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Who was Michael Jordan's five again? All right? He said?
- 40:52Speaker 1: James Worthy, Magic Johnson, kam Aliju one and Scottie Pipper
- 40:56Speaker 1: Johnson a team alias and James Worthy and James that's
- 41:07Speaker 1: up because let him tell you something. Listen to me.
- 41:12Speaker 1: They play and they come to war, Magic Johnson one
- 41:16Speaker 1: of the greatest competitors to have her live. He gonna
- 41:19Speaker 1: bring the ball up the floor. Ain't nobody stopping that?
- 41:22Speaker 1: James Worthy on the wing, Scottie Pippen's defense and shooting
- 41:26Speaker 1: Michael Jordan's defense and shooting a Chemo Lodgers post game. Yeah, yeah,
- 41:33Speaker 1: they run with him and against him, so he knows. Yeah,
- 41:38Speaker 1: but the game is different right from when Jordan played.
- 41:41Speaker 1: It's different game to me now. Here's because it's hard
- 41:45Speaker 1: to judge then and now because the way the game
- 41:47Speaker 1: was played. Now you can hand check people played center,
- 41:51Speaker 1: stayed at the house. All this Olie Oopen and Duncan
- 41:53Speaker 1: would not be happening because there were no flavorant files.
- 41:57Speaker 1: It was just a file. So I got my sick
- 42:00Speaker 1: and these folks, you're not gonna bleed these folks, the
- 42:03Speaker 1: first folks, I'm about to knock your ass out. Oh,
- 42:09Speaker 1: the first four files. You're not coming in here for
- 42:11Speaker 1: file number five. Because there were no flavors. You could
- 42:14Speaker 1: hand check, you couldn't pay, you couldn't play zone, you
- 42:20Speaker 1: had to play man. And it was a physical game.
- 42:24Speaker 1: These little calls they're making out would never be called,
- 42:28Speaker 1: and so it would it would be it would be
- 42:31Speaker 1: a war. So you're saying, the way the game is
- 42:34Speaker 1: the referees, the way they play now is just totally different.
- 42:38Speaker 1: It was more physical back into that, much more physical.
- 42:40Speaker 1: The players were stronger back then. Now the players now
- 42:44Speaker 1: appear to be more athletic. There's a lot more athletic,
- 42:49Speaker 1: taller players because it had died that the eating and
- 42:51Speaker 1: they are very athletic today, you make no mistake about that.
- 42:55Speaker 1: But that athleticism you have to in order for it
- 42:59Speaker 1: to work, you have to come to the paint to
- 43:00Speaker 1: use it. And the way the game was played. That's
- 43:03Speaker 1: that's that would not be happening. Well, it seems to me, Um,
- 43:07Speaker 1: I was gonna ask you in Junior, Lebron seems physically yeah,
- 43:12Speaker 1: he Lebron James could have played back in the day.
- 43:21Speaker 1: I believe that. I believe that with my heart because
- 43:25Speaker 1: physically he's a specimen. Lebron James could have played back
- 43:29Speaker 1: in the day. The stuff that you see happening on
- 43:33Speaker 1: the court today, James Harden wouldn't be shooting all the
- 43:37Speaker 1: shots he was to take out He gettings hit in
- 43:39Speaker 1: the stomach at at some point in the game. You
- 43:45Speaker 1: ain't gonna show. Yeah, I'll tell you who was ugly man,
- 43:50Speaker 1: Bill Lambill He he was messed off. No, Bill Lambill
- 43:56Speaker 1: was a Detroit pistol lets talk about. That's what you do,
- 44:03Speaker 1: same thing close Midwest. Dang. All right, listen, Uncle Jordan,
- 44:15Speaker 1: it's time for another prank. Um. Nephew Tommy is out today.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Junior will be in for the nephew right after this
- 44:22Speaker 1: you're listening to all right, coming up at the top
- 44:27Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after, it's my
- 44:30Speaker 1: strawberry letter for today. The subject he could have her
- 44:33Speaker 1: if he wanted to. But right now, nephew's out as
- 44:37Speaker 1: we mentioned, and the special guest sister O'Dell is back
- 44:40Speaker 1: to introduce Jesus name. Yes, ma'am, well, you know y'all
- 44:51Speaker 1: appreciate y'all letting me play along with you. I'm defending
- 44:54Speaker 1: to do the prank for the stupid yes, ma'am, Yes, okay,
- 44:59Speaker 1: what is the rank today? Is your baby Pete in
- 45:03Speaker 1: the pool? Well, that's what it is, Sweeney, ain't no
- 45:08Speaker 1: need are you looking at me? You know? Crossing that
- 45:11Speaker 1: he does these pranks and y'all alight, this type of
- 45:14Speaker 1: stupity down your shower. You know, he just dumb as
- 45:17Speaker 1: a dough naw about that letting the little boy pee
- 45:19Speaker 1: in the pool, and now he wants to prank somebody
- 45:22Speaker 1: about it. M somebody gonna hit time in the head,
- 45:27Speaker 1: bust it down to the white meet. That's probably gonna
- 45:29Speaker 1: have media go out, Gonna catch him in the grocery
- 45:34Speaker 1: stone with a number in his hand, waiting on getting
- 45:37Speaker 1: blossom lunch meat. Walk right up to him as you timmy, yeah, pie,
- 45:46Speaker 1: let's go cat, come out Pete in the pool. Hello, Hello,

- 46:30Speaker 1: pretty much every every every other day. You know, I'm
- 46:32Speaker 1: always here seeing him swim. But it seemed like is

- 46:52Speaker 1: you know it's really a bad thing. Uh. We can't
- 46:55Speaker 1: continue to keep letting him come over here. We gotta
- 46:57Speaker 1: ban him from the pool school. We ain't nashed it

- 47:38Speaker 1: Not y's not paying when he gonna be in the pool,

- 49:09Speaker 1: I bless you. I wish you would because you don't
- 49:13Speaker 1: need life. God sig pool. I wish you would. What

- 49:47Speaker 1: all I'm asking you is is keep your son away
- 49:49Speaker 1: from the pool for the next two weeks. If we
- 49:51Speaker 1: fell not that it's not him, will allow him to
- 49:53Speaker 1: come back. Okay, ain't me. He ain't staying away from
- 49:55Speaker 1: the pool for two weeks. If he do, he gonna
- 49:58Speaker 1: come back and do some most po I'm gonna getting
- 50:00Speaker 1: the whole two weeks wing and go back to that

- 54:05Speaker 1: this is gonna be great. Oh gosh, you think. All right,
- 54:13Speaker 1: we could be reading your letter live on the air,
- 54:15Speaker 1: just like we're gonna read this one right here, right
- 54:17Speaker 1: now with Sister O'Dell our special guest. All right, lady
- 54:22Speaker 1: and gentlemen, it's that time for the Strawberry Letter with
- 54:24Speaker 1: my good friend Shirley straw Berry. Thank you, junior, I
- 54:30Speaker 1: appreciate it. We are good friends, subject he could have
- 54:35Speaker 1: her if he wanted to. Dear Stephen Shirley, I have
- 54:38Speaker 1: a friend that can be self centered and a bit
- 54:41Speaker 1: loose when it comes to men. We have been friends
- 54:44Speaker 1: for thirteen years, but I've never had an issue with
- 54:47Speaker 1: her until recently. She likes to flirt with other women's
- 54:50Speaker 1: men and boast that she can take any man from
- 54:53Speaker 1: his woman. I just never thought it would happen to me.
- 54:57Speaker 1: I started seeing a new guy and he invited me
- 55:00Speaker 1: to a house party, so I invited my friend to
- 55:03Speaker 1: meet us there. My friend met my new guy and
- 55:06Speaker 1: we all had a good time. My friend worked the
- 55:09Speaker 1: room and got several of the guy's attention. She even
- 55:12Speaker 1: danced with my guy for a hot minute, and he
- 55:14Speaker 1: said that she was really cool. After the party, we
- 55:17Speaker 1: went to an after hour spot to eat. We were
- 55:20Speaker 1: all tipsy, so we took an uber. My guy sat
- 55:24Speaker 1: up front and I sat in the back with my friend.
- 55:26Speaker 1: On the way there, my friend was on her phone
- 55:29Speaker 1: the entire time, and I saw her locking in someone's number,
- 55:33Speaker 1: but I didn't pay that much attention to it. When
- 55:37Speaker 1: we got to dinner. We got to the diner, they
- 55:41Speaker 1: sat side by side in the booth, and I sat
- 55:43Speaker 1: across from them because he said he wanted to look
- 55:46Speaker 1: at me while we ate. My friend started getting flirty
- 55:49Speaker 1: with my guy, and she rubbed his head and touched
- 55:52Speaker 1: his thigh. I knew it was time to take her
- 55:55Speaker 1: drunk behind home before I caused a scene. We dropped
- 55:59Speaker 1: her off at home first. When she got out of
- 56:01Speaker 1: the uber, she told my guy that she would be
- 56:03Speaker 1: in touch. I was shocked that they exchanged numbers. I
- 56:07Speaker 1: was furious with him, but I didn't say a word.
- 56:09Speaker 1: I just gave him a really crazy look. He said,
- 56:13Speaker 1: it's totally innocent because he could have had her right
- 56:16Speaker 1: then and there if he wanted her. Now, I'm confused
- 56:19Speaker 1: about who I should be mad at. I haven't talked
- 56:22Speaker 1: to my friends since that night, and I told my
- 56:24Speaker 1: guy that I don't trust him. What should I do
- 56:26Speaker 1: about this? Who was wrong? Well, unlike your guy says,
- 56:31Speaker 1: this is not totally innocent. They exchanged numbers right under
- 56:36Speaker 1: your nose. Your girl broke the code. And you know
- 56:39Speaker 1: which code I'm talking about. I'm talking about the girlfriend code. Here.
- 56:43Speaker 1: She was flirting with your man, talking with him on
- 56:45Speaker 1: the phone, rubbing his head, touching his thighs, sitting side
- 56:49Speaker 1: by side with him and this guy. I'm not even
- 56:52Speaker 1: gonna call him your guy or your man right now,
- 56:55Speaker 1: because I don't believe your man would be acting like this.
- 56:57Speaker 1: I just don't exchanging numbers so sneakily in front of
- 57:01Speaker 1: your face, and then for him to say he could
- 57:03Speaker 1: have had her right then and there. I just think
- 57:06Speaker 1: it sends the wrong message to you as his girl,
- 57:10Speaker 1: you know. I mean, what do they think they were
- 57:13Speaker 1: doing and why? What was necessary? I mean, you know
- 57:17Speaker 1: what kind of person your girlfriend is, but you didn't
- 57:20Speaker 1: expect your guy to be so invested in this. They're
- 57:23Speaker 1: both wrong. You're not wrong. The only thing you were
- 57:26Speaker 1: wrong about was not saying anything to him, not checking
- 57:29Speaker 1: both of them when she said, I'll be in touch,
- 57:34Speaker 1: all right? This is crazy. I mean, you know, people
- 57:37Speaker 1: don't even try to hide cheating anymore. I guess they
- 57:40Speaker 1: just do it in front of people, and I guess
- 57:43Speaker 1: that's okay when they do it in front of each other.
- 57:46Speaker 1: I don't know. This is crazy to me and your girl,
- 57:50Speaker 1: I don't care how drunk she was, was out of order?
- 57:52Speaker 1: And your guy too or this guy? All right? Sister
- 57:55Speaker 1: Odell is in for Steve Harvey today. Take it away,
- 57:58Speaker 1: sister Odell. Well, you know it's amazing. First of all,
- 58:06Speaker 1: thank y'all for letting me do the strike you. I've
- 58:09Speaker 1: never done one of these. I well gonna be my
- 58:15Speaker 1: last because here we go. Welcome though, Thank you, Shary,
- 58:19Speaker 1: thank you for having me in the old segment. I've
- 58:22Speaker 1: always liked it. I've been waiting for years to get invited.
- 58:25Speaker 1: So let me try to do it the right way
- 58:27Speaker 1: for you, ma'am. You know she got a friend that
- 58:30Speaker 1: self send it and a little loose and then when
- 58:33Speaker 1: it comes to men, that means she's a flousi flosi
- 58:39Speaker 1: you know modern day that's black, you know, hoie and
- 58:43Speaker 1: so you know they've been friends. Watch out call it.
- 58:47Speaker 1: This is all. This is Christian radio, how And it's
- 58:51Speaker 1: the same thing you do when it's weeds coming up
- 58:53Speaker 1: in your garden and you gotta go out there and
- 58:56Speaker 1: get a hole and you gotta hold a role. That's called. Yeah,
- 59:00Speaker 1: that's all that is. She just gotten to and that's
- 59:03Speaker 1: all in anyway. I ain't never had no issue with her,
- 59:06Speaker 1: you know, because you know God loves everyone, even the loose.
- 59:12Speaker 1: You know, she liked to flirt when other women's menses,
- 59:16Speaker 1: you know, and she run them out that she can
- 59:18Speaker 1: take any man from from a woman. You know, I
- 59:20Speaker 1: ain't thought nothing of it, because you know she know
- 59:23Speaker 1: I killed too a Manx husband. Wait, did you want
- 59:27Speaker 1: to announce that on the radio in front of millions?
- 59:30Speaker 1: Well it was over thirty five years ago when you
- 59:32Speaker 1: know I was cled. I don't think murder has a
- 59:35Speaker 1: statue of limitations, though, sister. Well, you know they didn't know.
- 59:39Speaker 1: They don't know which husbands I'm talking about. They never
- 59:42Speaker 1: show up, you know, they didn't look back in the day,
- 59:47Speaker 1: you know this black men missing Just whatever. Okay, back
- 59:51Speaker 1: to the we're doing the letters college. Just let me
- 59:54Speaker 1: work so well. You might get a lot of emails
- 59:57Speaker 1: and tweets and things about me in this letter. Did
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: probably need Steve need to learn something that wasn't me,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Sister O'Dell? I know, Swede. Probably we'll stop Dann come
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: back and I'll tell you more about homing god a right,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: getting weeds coming. We'll have part two of Sister O'Dell's
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: response to the Strawberry letter in for Steve coming up
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: in twenty three minutes after the hour. Right after this,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: you're listening to show. All right, come on, Sister Odell,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: let's recap today's strawberry letter. Sister Odell, today is our
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: very special guest than Steve Subject. He could have had
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: her if he wanted to thank you. I like that
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: white man, y'all high? Oh Dave yes? Has anyone told
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: him that he is white? No, ma'am, because I've seen him.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I'm saying it's old a dress, Jeff, like a soul
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: man hat on, and I said, we'll go ahead on now, David,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: he's a player anyway. This woman got this friend does loose,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: you know, flusing type. And yeah, they've been friends for
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: a long time, and she always bragging. You know, she
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: can take a man from any woman. And you know
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: she ain't thinking none of it, you know, specially you
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: know she figured she wasn't talking to you. And then
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: you started a woman in the left star seeing a
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: new man, and they got invited to a house party.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: This is a pole ladder right here. No one does
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: house party. It's obviously a poet. Who does that anymore?
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Nobody throw the rent part. I ain't been to a
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: rent party since sixty nine. So they had a house party,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: and I invited him a friend to meet him down there,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: you know, the the flsing and my friend met a
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: new guy. You know. They was having a good time.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: And you know, she was walking around hole and like
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: always do work in the room, you know, and she
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: got all the man's attention, you know, because she dressed nasty,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: you know, had all cleavage out and everything. Had on
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: a little red Harley dress, you know, harlless love red
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: and red lifted red finger nails, health of high shoot
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: with the red bottoms. But there ain't real red bottoms.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: I bought the She does her red bottoms with a
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: can of cry lin paint. Don't have the money, Yeah,
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: she didn't had the money for Chrissy Lubis. She don't
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: have the money for Chrissy Lubis. So she spray paints
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: the bottom of trisy. Yeah. Have it all over your rug,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: in your house and everything. It's just priceful. And so anyway,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: up after the party, we went to an after hour
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: spot to eat sea once again this in the hood.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Ain't know what it is an after hour spot to
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: eat your death? Did it? Then? This is not an
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: after hour spotted lives our hard but now it ever
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Bayless House, eating fried chicken everything and so they went
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: and they was all tempted, so they took there's some
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: mope held mess right here. People has calls. My guy
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: sit in the front. I sit in the back. And
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: on the way that my friend was on the phone
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: and I saw locking in somebody number. I ain't paying
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: no tempting, you know. They go to the diner and
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: they said side by side in the booth, I said,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: across from because he's he's lying there city. He wanted
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: to look in your eyes right well, he can't look
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: in your eyes sitting next to you. All, y'all got
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: to do it. Turn your head. There's a bunch of mess.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Now now you look over that and this this hookle
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: is rubbing it back of his head and touching his thigh.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: You know what's down there in the tha, don't you?
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: It ain't the other than I tell you that right now.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Got you got it on the thirt on the other
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: thing down there, ain't the other fat tell you that
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: we got it round his head, that the one on
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: top his head, and it was touching his thigh. But
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: that wasn't all down there. That's like that time when
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I blood my fourth husband or human. I used to
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: rub his thigh. Lord him listen, ye throw him in
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: there something. I was rubbing this that one time down
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: and he turned the whole table over, so we got
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: I knew it was trying to take her drunk behind
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: home before I snapped the taste out of mouth. So
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: we they dropped her off out of the house. And
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: when she got out of the uber, she told my
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: guy told yo, gotta sheill being touched hell for hell. Yeah,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: but they had been they in exchange normals. I gave
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: this crazy looking everything and you know, said this. He
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: said it was innocent, you know, and they are both
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: of them, was looking kind of crazy and NO'M said
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: it's innocent. Then he told me he could have had
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: at her right then and there if he wanted hull whoa,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: he told you what, Yeah, that's that's something right there.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: He could have had her right then and there he
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: wanted to I told you at the top of the
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: ladder she was holing. Who couldn't have had her? Anybody
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: in the room could have had him. Didn't talking about
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: I could have had her right then? I told my
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: gown trust him. Yeah. He come out, he looking crazy.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: He could have had huh. Yeah, Well, I tell you what.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: You ain't gonna be the first one to have him.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: You probably gonna be the forty six one. You be
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: one of the presidents. Cut her lupa, kick our ass
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: for your car. Lupa really sister down she touching man's thigh.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: She was down there looking for the other thought kick
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: her ass? Yeah, cut all his ties up calling you
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: went me on this condom. You spit a man time
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: before we gotta go down split all it's time to time.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Thank you Joel for filling in. We appreciate it, We
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: really do. You can post your comments on today's strut

- 1:06:32Speaker 1: will be back and he's gonna tell us what it's
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: like to give away checks. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, so Steve, you're
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: back now, tell us about your day yesterday. You had
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: a day in the life of going actually going to
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: people's homes and giving away publisher clearing house prizes. What
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: was that clearing house? Yeah, y'all, y'all shoot register you
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: really should because these these are real people that's winning
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: this money, and they are just this is it's not
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: a read. What's crazy is this is the first time
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: they've had a person like myself who's recognizable. So when
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: they go up to the doors, now people stick their
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: head out and they say me, and they be holler,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: our family field is here head. This ain't people think
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: family feud. But man, I'm telling you it was so
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: good man. You we and so a lot of it.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: We've been giving away this special thing that we're doing
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: for ten thousand. Now we're starting this. We're doing the
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: other part of it. Now what we just I just
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: cut the drops for it. We're about to give away
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: five thousand dollars a week for the rest of your life.
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Are we allowed to sign up? You know, everybody concerned.
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: Can't no relative of mind win. But you know, my
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: damn relatives don't have to sign up because they're already
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: getting it from I am they published. But I'm telling you, man,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: it's like really really cool man. And it's it's like
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: some really people that's coming to the door. This lady
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: that we gave this money away too. She came to
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: the doorman. She was so in need of the money.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: And the cool thing about publishers clearing, how scenes they
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: give you these big fake checks, right, but after you
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: take the big check, we hand you the actual cashier's
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: check with your name on. I mean you go to
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: bank that day and taking money. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: no no no, there is no waiting. You get the
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: money that day. And these people really need the money.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: And some people are winning. Man. And so now we're
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: doing five thousand dollars a week. Now we're doing they
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: got a new one where we're doing five thousand dollars
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: a week for the rest of your life. And then
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: we do we do five thousand dollars a week forever.
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: So in the event that something happens to you, even
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: if something happens to you, you can grant the money
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: to a family member. So if you pass in twenty years, yeah,
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: and you can give it to your kids, your grandkids
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: and now keep getting the five thousand dollars a week
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: for their entirely. Oh yeah, man, yeah, it's really really big.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: It's really cool. It's not fake. They didn't ask me
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: to do that. I'm not paid to, you know, do
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: these commercials. This is not a commercial. I'm just telling
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: y'all on the reel, on the low low, y'all need
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: to register, all right, See, we will coming up at
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: the top of the hour. Just being scared make you
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: want to get busy? A study says, yes, we'll talk
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: about it right after this. You're listening, well, just being
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: scared make you want to get busy, you know, get busy.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: You know what that means? Study says yes. If someone
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: is yelling boo makes you want to hook up with
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: your boo, You're not alone. Experts say shriek inducing horror
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: film scenes can make you feel horny. According to Leah Holmegren,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Manhattan based intimacy and relationship coach, it's a matter of
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: simple human instinct to want to be close to another
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: person when you're scared. This phenomenon is from prehistoric times
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: when we needed to bond, especially in dangerous situations and
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: increase the chances for survival. So, guys, Junior, Steve, what movie,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: what horror movie scared you so much that you wanted to,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: you know, knock the boots, get busy. Yeah, whatever. Nightmail
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: on Elm Street for me because I had to say, whoa,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: you just keep going boot Yeah, we watched all of
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: it once. I'm sure you watching from one to ten
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: just to stay up. That would do it for me.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: It's kind of weird, I know it is. I mean,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I see if you go together to a movie and
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: you guys, you know you're scared, so you're you're cuddled
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: up in the movie and everything, but after the movie
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: it's over. Right. Yeah, I'm gonna tell you right now,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: you don't do that to me. Yeah what a matter
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: of fact, I don't. I don't mean I don't. First
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: of all, I don't go to scared movies, so I
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: don't know what the hell they do. Last scared movie
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: I went to with the Exercis and that did not
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: induce the Exorcist. How about sixteen? That's when you and
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: your guys. Now, I'll tell you what do make me
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: want to get busy? Like if I'm getting cold, if
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: it get cold outside, I want to do something. If
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: I got the flu, I want to do something. It's
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: dark outside, I want to do something. Every everything other
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: than a scary movie. Sound soon as I wake up
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: early in the morning. Yeah, good time. Yeah, yeah right,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: but can we back up to the flu? Can we
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: back up to that? Yeah? If I got the flu energy,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: I don't need that. I just want to feel better.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: If I'm doing something, I forget I got the flu. Yeah,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: and then give it to give it to your wife.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: You probably got it anyway. You know. We're in there
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: laying around like we'll do something like it for like
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: if I got a fever, Yeah, I want to do
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: something then too, I promise you. Then I can always
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: say this is gonna be hot. You ain't got to
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: be come. I ain't got to die, girl, you better
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: come on. Thissfit to be hot. And it is just
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: you know, you know, it's just like that, you know,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: so you gotta know, you gotta know what it is
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: that turn you on. You know, like if I make
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: a left turn and I should have made a right turn,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I want to do something. Don't take me Yeah you know. Yeah,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: you know. I love how you give us insight into
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: men's thinking. Yeah, you know, like if you like if
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: I'm standing there talking to you, and you know how
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: you just blow sometimes because you're from a solid bloom,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: but you blow your head a little bit up now. Yeah,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: that'll get you done too. Yeah. Yeah, I don't really
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: take much what you're saying. That's exactly right, junior. Like
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: if you outside and you playing sports or something like
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: volleyball and a mosquito bite you on your ass and
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: you slap the mosquito, that'll probably yeah. Yeah, I know you.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: I know you were smacking that for me. I know that.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: I'm just telling you how me and are don't take much.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: They don't. If I have a sis crisis and y'all
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: call me, I'll probably go one do some somebody need
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: to care about me. Good? All right, thank you guys.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: Coming up, more music, more fun, hardy ignorance. I know
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: how you doing today, sweetie. That's it. That's sweetie. Mary

- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Shannon Brown. Her divorce was finalized at of Fayetteville, Georgia
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: Courthouse UM yesterday. The judge granted the request for a
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: divorce and allowed Monica to go back to using her
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: maiden name Monica Arnold. Legally. That's probably gonna make me
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: one to do something. Yeah, talking about marriage and divorce
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: definitely put it right there, all right, coming up more
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and some trending news

- 1:19:48Speaker 1: fun day, Yeah, great day, Wednesday day. Yeah, all right, Steve.
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: You want to take us home with some clothing remarks. Yeah.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: Let me let me. Let me share something with you
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: that I I was thinking and I was learning, you know,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: in my morning meditation. I try to um. Look, first
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: of all, let me say this, I am not perfect,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: nor do I claim to be. I ain't telling nobody
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: I'm I'm I'm I got it all together? Because I don't.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I'm still still changing, still growing, still belonging, still still
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: trying to get it right. But when I learned stuff, man,
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: I like to share it with people because I think
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: that a lot of people like me out here who
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: want to do right, and they just they have some
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: some struggles with it. I was struggling with the Lord's
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: praying for a while, you know, how you say it,
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: and you say that will be done on earth as
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: it is in heaven. Uh, you're actually asking God to
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: a lot his will to be done in your life
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: the same way he got it up in heaven. But
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: the thing of it is, do you know the thing
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: that I was fighting against? Because you know, there's such
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: a tug of war in the average person's mind when
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: it comes to a relationship with God, or when it
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: comes to even doing the right thing. You know, it's
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: such a tug of war. You got the forces of
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: evil and the forces of goodness at battle all the time.
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: You got the God in you that wants to do
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: the right thing, that has a conscious and then there's
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: this devil who tries to get control of your thoughts,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: in your minds, to keep you from doing the right thing.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: So we're all constantly in this battle between good and evil,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: right and wrong. In other words, we're all facing temptation
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: on some form, shaped, fashion, or level. The thing of
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: it is, though, what what I was doing by not
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: wanting to give myself to God or to allow God
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: to have a bigger presence in my life. You know
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: what was the biggest tug for me? Because I thought
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: that God was going to turn me into some bible thumping,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: dough knocking, you know, up in people's face, trying to
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: make them see if you didn't see it my way,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: you was going to hell person. And I didn't want
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: to be that. And I was just thought, because those
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: are the things I don't like about people of faith
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: or so called Christians or religious people. I don't like
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: that you got to see it my way or there
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: is no way. So I didn't want to be turned
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: into that, and so I didn't want to submit myself
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: to that type of change. The other reason I didn't
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: really want to really commit myself to say, God, do
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: with me what you want is because, like a lot
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: of people, I just didn't want to stop doing what
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: I was doing. I'm just being real with you. I
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: just liked the things I was doing and I didn't
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: want to have to have my conscious wearying me about it,
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: even though it was that way. If I don't commit
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: or let him have his way in my life, then
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: I ain't got to have that fight. I just do
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: what I want to do. Well, what I learned though,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: was God don't need everybody to knock on doors, become
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: Bible toting bible thumping religious zealots that drive people crazy.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: That's not for everybody. As a matter of fact, I
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: don't really think he wants anybody be getting on nobody's nerves.
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: That's a way to be a witness without getting on
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: people's nerves. That's people trying to do more than they
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: ought to to me a lot of times, just just
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: me talking. It's an opinion. You don't have to agree
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: with it. But what I did found that God takes
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: you just the way you are. He know what you've
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: been going through, He know the life you didn't had.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: He not gonna take all of us and turn us
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: into religious zealous. He wants some of us to walk
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: in a way where it can draw other people. He
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: got some people going down pathways to go into prisons
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: and get people. He got some people that go into
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: clubs and get people. He got some people that just
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: get you when you come to church. He got some
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: people who's like they just got shining on their job.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: He got some people who just a mail man it
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: comes by with the happiest facing and witness to people.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: He uses you the way you are. He can turn
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: you into something no matter what. So when I finally said, okay, God,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: go ahead. Man, I didn't mess my life up pretty
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: good with all these ignorant decisions I've made. Because He
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: gives us the power of the choice, and because this
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: he gives you this awesome power of choice, it comes
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: with an awesome responsibility. And a lot of times I
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: was just messing up with this power of choice because
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: I was choosing the wrong way. So when I finally
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: said Okay, God, what you wanna do with me? What
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: I found out was the person that God was turning
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: me into. I kind of liked it. And you know why,
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: because God kind of let me still have the stuff
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: that I liked about me. I enjoyed my sense and humor.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: My sense and human is not for everybody, but I
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: enjoy it. I laugh, I make people laugh. I still funny.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: You know. I cracked myself up. I say stuff that's
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: hysterical at times. I didn't want to get that up.
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: I like doing nice things for people when I can
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: afford to. So guess what he did He let me
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: afford to. As a matter of fact, he gave me
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: more to help more people with. And then he set
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: up and turned me into something that I didn't think
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: i'd ever become, and it allowed me to have my
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: light on in front of more people. Now I'm open
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: up to more ridicule, but that comes with the territory.
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: And so I found out, man, what the very thing
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: I was running from I should have been running two
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: because there's a saying that I found out that said,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: I'm slowly becoming the person that I should have been
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: a long time ago. I'm really kind of ticked off
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: at myself that it took me so long figure that
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: part of it out. So if you're trying to figure
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: it out, and let me offer this to you, God
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: will take you just the way you off and turn
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: you something, to turn you into something far better than
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: you could imagined. And it probably ain't for all. Steve
