- 0:01Speaker 1: Donald Trump indicted.
- 0:03Speaker 2: The charges have now been unsealed in the classified document
- 0:06Speaker 2: case against the ex president, And something that is very
- 0:10Speaker 2: shocking about this indictment is the fact that even when
- 0:14Speaker 2: there was a press conference, a very very short press
- 0:17Speaker 2: conference by the Special Counsel Jack Smith, he didn't actually
- 0:21Speaker 2: talk about what they indicted Donald Trump for, which is
- 0:24Speaker 2: pretty odd when you're the guy who's indicting him. What
- 0:27Speaker 2: we do know is there were thirty seven charges against
- 0:30Speaker 2: Donald Trump, thirty one of them counts of willful retention
- 0:35Speaker 2: of national defense information, one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice,
- 0:40Speaker 2: and one count of corruptly concealing a document a record. Now,
- 0:44Speaker 2: he didn't want to talk about that. In fact, he
- 0:46Speaker 2: didn't want to take questions. He just wanted to go
- 0:49Speaker 2: out there and say we nailed him, we got him,
- 0:52Speaker 2: and we take it very seriously what we're doing with
- 0:55Speaker 2: Donald Trump.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Take a listen. Good afternoon.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Today an indictments unsealed, charging Donald J. Trump with felony
- 1:05Speaker 3: violations of our national security laws as well as participating
- 1:10Speaker 3: in a conspiracy to obstruct justice. This indictment was voted
- 1:15Speaker 3: by a grand jury of citizens in the Southern District
- 1:17Speaker 3: of Florida, and I invite everyone to read it in
- 1:20Speaker 3: full to understand the scope and the gravity of the
- 1:24Speaker 3: crimes charged. The men and women of the United States
- 1:29Speaker 3: Intelligence community and our armed forces dedicate their lives to
- 1:33Speaker 3: protecting our nation and its people. Our laws that protect
- 1:38Speaker 3: national defense information are critical to the safety and security
- 1:43Speaker 3: of the United States, and they must be enforced. Violations
- 1:49Speaker 3: of those laws put our country at risk. Adherence to
- 1:54Speaker 3: the rule of law is a bedrock principle of the
- 1:57Speaker 3: Department of Justice, and our nations can meant to the
- 2:00Speaker 3: rule of law sets an example for the world. We
- 2:05Speaker 3: have one set of laws in this country and they
- 2:07Speaker 3: apply to everyone. Applying those laws, collecting facts. That's what
- 2:13Speaker 3: determines the outcome of an investigation, nothing more and nothing less.
- 2:21Speaker 3: The prosecutors in my office are among the most talented
- 2:26Speaker 3: and experienced in the Department of Justice. They have investigated
- 2:30Speaker 3: this case hewing to the highest ethical standards, and they
- 2:33Speaker 3: will continue to do so as this case proceeds. It's
- 2:37Speaker 3: very important for me to note that the defendants in
- 2:40Speaker 3: this case must be presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond
- 2:45Speaker 3: a reasonable doubt in a court of law. To that end,
- 2:50Speaker 3: my office will seek a speedy trial in this matter
- 2:54Speaker 3: consistent with the public interest and the rights of the accused.
- 2:58Speaker 3: We very much look forward to presenting our case to
- 3:02Speaker 3: a jury of citizens in the Southern District of Florida.
- 3:07Speaker 3: In conclusion, I would like to thank the dedicated public
- 3:11Speaker 3: servants of the Federal Bureau of Investigation with whom my
- 3:15Speaker 3: office is conducting this investigation and who work tirelessly every
- 3:20Speaker 3: day upholding the rule of law in our country. I'm
- 3:24Speaker 3: deeply proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with them. Thank
- 3:28Speaker 3: you very much.
- 3:30Speaker 1: There are several lives in there.
- 3:31Speaker 2: One that the men and women in our government apply
- 3:36Speaker 2: the law equally.
- 3:37Speaker 1: That is not true.
- 3:38Speaker 2: If that was true, Hillary Clinton would have been indicted,
- 3:42Speaker 2: Barack Obama probably would have been indicted. Certainly Joe Biden
- 3:48Speaker 2: would be indicted. But they have not been indicted. Only
- 3:52Speaker 2: Donald Trump Special counsel Jack Smith that someone that has
- 3:55Speaker 2: had an obsession a hard on for Donald Trump since
- 3:58Speaker 2: day one.
- 3:58Speaker 1: He wants to destroy.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Former White House Press Secretary Kaylie Mcananny put it this way,
- 4:04Speaker 2: when this indictment came out, and it was we now
- 4:08Speaker 2: know the counts. Listen to what she said. Is a
- 4:10Speaker 2: former White House Press Secretary.
- 4:12Speaker 4: You know we are in uncharted territory. You have a
- 4:14Speaker 4: president of the United States whose administration, his DOJA has
- 4:18Speaker 4: indicted his chief political rival. That's bottom line, that's where
- 4:21Speaker 4: we are, this uncharted territory. It's only going to divide
- 4:24Speaker 4: us further. I don't often agree with Ruth Marcus, but
- 4:27Speaker 4: that opening line of her peace I agree with certainly.
- 4:29Speaker 4: This is just going to entrench divisions that we have
- 4:31Speaker 4: in this country. My question is, where's Christopher Ray? Where's
- 4:35Speaker 4: Merrick Garland? When you look at the coda Federal Regulation
- 4:39Speaker 4: six hundred point eight B, it says this notification of
- 4:42Speaker 4: significant events. The Special Council shall notify the Attorney General
- 4:47Speaker 4: of events in the course of his or her investigations.
- 4:49Speaker 4: So Garland knew about this, right, We're an unprecedented times.
- 4:54Speaker 4: As I noted, Yes, he can't comment on the specifics
- 4:56Speaker 4: of an investigation. Ray can't either. But when the integrity
- 4:59Speaker 4: of the Department of Justice and FBI are in question,
- 5:02Speaker 4: we need something, a statement, something. Maybe he's waiting until
- 5:06Speaker 4: Tuesday with the official indictment. I don't know, but our
- 5:08Speaker 4: country needs something.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Our country needs something. She's right, there is a two
- 5:14Speaker 2: tier system of government. And what you have now is
- 5:17Speaker 2: you have at president of the United States of America
- 5:19Speaker 2: who has weaponized his government to go after Donald Trump.
- 5:23Speaker 2: There's also another thing in here that the Special counsel
- 5:26Speaker 2: Jack Smith said on the Trump indictment. He said, my
- 5:29Speaker 2: office will seek a speedy trial. Why is that because
- 5:33Speaker 2: they want him on in a jury trial when he's
- 5:38Speaker 2: trying to run for president of the United States of America.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Because if you're in a trial, you're not out on
- 5:45Speaker 2: the campaign trail. It's a brilliant political communist move.
- 5:50Speaker 3: The prosecutors in my office are among the most talented
- 5:55Speaker 3: and experienced in the Department of Justice. They have investigated
- 5:59Speaker 3: this case chewing to the highest ethical standards, and they
- 6:02Speaker 3: will continue to do so as this case proceeds. It's
- 6:07Speaker 3: very important for me to note that the defendants in
- 6:09Speaker 3: this case must be presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond
- 6:15Speaker 3: a reasonable doubt in a court of law. To that end,
- 6:20Speaker 3: my office will seek a speedy trial in this matter,
- 6:23Speaker 3: consistent with the public interest and the rights of the accused.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Why would they want to rush it. You need to
- 6:31Speaker 2: understand the context of this. If you can rush this
- 6:36Speaker 2: the way that they want to rush it. Then you're
- 6:38Speaker 2: going to have a president of the United States of
- 6:41Speaker 2: America that's going to be able to go out on
- 6:43Speaker 2: the campaign trail, and it's going to be able to
- 6:45Speaker 2: campaign while Donald Trump is stuck in a courtroom. They're
- 6:49Speaker 2: hoping that while they're in places in swing states like
- 6:52Speaker 2: Pennsylvania in Ohio, that the president would then be at
- 6:58Speaker 2: a trial. Now, imagine how unfair of an advantage that
- 7:04Speaker 2: would be, a disadvantage that would be for Donald Trump,
- 7:06Speaker 2: and what an advantage that would be for someone else.
- 7:11Speaker 2: This is another example of just how again disgusting all
- 7:18Speaker 2: of this is. You have an individual now in this
- 7:24Speaker 2: Special Council Jack Smith, who is not only telling you
- 7:28Speaker 2: what his motive is, but he's telling you how it
- 7:29Speaker 2: would affect the election, it would tie him up in court,
- 7:35Speaker 2: and they're proud to say this is what they're doing.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Now we also have found out more about the charges
- 7:42Speaker 2: against former President Donald Trump. This indictment in Special Counsel
- 7:47Speaker 2: Jacksmith's case against the former President Donald Trump that has
- 7:49Speaker 2: now been unsealed. Something he really didn't talk about what
- 7:52Speaker 2: they were indicting him on. You heard what he had
- 7:54Speaker 2: to say in its entirety. The indictment. Special counsel Jacksmith's
- 7:58Speaker 2: case against the president shows this. Smith hit Trump with
- 8:03Speaker 2: thirty seven charges in the case. Thirty seven including thirty
- 8:09Speaker 2: one counts of willful retention of national defense information, one
- 8:14Speaker 2: count of conspiracy to obstruct justice, one count of correctly
- 8:18Speaker 2: concealing a document or record, one count of concealing a
- 8:21Speaker 2: document in a federal investigation, and one count relating to
- 8:25Speaker 2: making false statements. That's how you get to thirty seven charges.
- 8:29Speaker 2: The filing states this the classified documents Trump stored in
- 8:33Speaker 2: his boxes, including information regarding defense and weapon capabilities of
- 8:38Speaker 2: both the United States and foreign countries, United States nuclear programs,
- 8:43Speaker 2: potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to
- 8:46Speaker 2: military attack, and plans for possible retaliation response to a
- 8:50Speaker 2: foreign attack. The unauthorized disclosure of these classified documents could
- 8:55Speaker 2: put at risk the national security of the United States
- 8:57Speaker 2: of America. The filing states also foreign relations, the safety
- 9:01Speaker 2: of the United States military and human sources, and the
- 9:05Speaker 2: continued viability of sensitive intelligence collection methods around the world.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Trump allegedly suggested his attorney quote falsely represent to the
- 9:14Speaker 2: FBI that he did not have documents the government sought
- 9:16Speaker 2: in a subpoena. They also are accusing Trump of in
- 9:20Speaker 2: this document. Additionally, the indictment claims the former president suggested
- 9:24Speaker 2: his attorney should hide or destroy documents called for by
- 9:28Speaker 2: the grand jury subpoena.
- 9:30Speaker 1: They're now claiming.
- 9:33Speaker 2: The media, by the way, is covering for not only
- 9:38Speaker 2: this White House, but they're covering for anyone that says
- 9:41Speaker 2: anything they don't like. Right now about the fact that
- 9:43Speaker 2: Donald Trump's been indicted, you notice that the special counsel
- 9:47Speaker 2: Jack Smith didn't answer questions because he knew the questions
- 9:50Speaker 2: were going to be coming about the double standard of justice.
- 9:53Speaker 2: He also said there was no double standard of justice,
- 9:56Speaker 2: but refused to answer questions about, Hey, how is it
- 9:58Speaker 2: that Donald Trump's been indicted? And well, many other people
- 10:01Speaker 2: have done the exact same thing. Why aren't they being
- 10:03Speaker 2: indicted and going to trial a speedy trial? Has he
- 10:07Speaker 2: described it right? Well, I'll give you an example of
- 10:11Speaker 2: what the media is doing when someone brings that up.
- 10:13Speaker 2: George stepping'op what was former senior advisor to Bill Clinton,
- 10:18Speaker 2: melted down after a former Trump attorney pointed out that
- 10:23Speaker 2: Joe Biden had classified documents and he pretty much lost
- 10:28Speaker 2: his mind listened carefully.
- 10:30Speaker 5: I think there are countless examples of people who have
- 10:32Speaker 5: been charged up for similar crimes. But we're going to
- 10:35Speaker 5: both sides should wait and see what is actually in
- 10:37Speaker 5: the indictment. Meantime, what was President Trump's reaction last night?
- 10:41Speaker 6: President Trump, you know this won't be a newsflash. He's
- 10:44Speaker 6: a pretty resilient guy. You know, he's a pretty tough,
- 10:48Speaker 6: tough hided person. So he's not crumbling in fear or
- 10:51Speaker 6: anything remotely like that. He's he's upset by the notion
- 10:55Speaker 6: of this indictment. You know, it's a different conversation when
- 10:58Speaker 6: you have a client who's committed across and knows that
- 11:00Speaker 6: they've done something and finally gotten caught. That's a pretty
- 11:03Speaker 6: easy conversation, or relatively easy conversation as an attorney. When
- 11:07Speaker 6: you're actually innocent of the charges and know that this
- 11:09Speaker 6: is weaponized and persecatorial, it's a different conversation. But what's
- 11:14Speaker 6: interesting to me just kind of stepping out of my
- 11:16Speaker 6: role of the attorney and just talking about it kind
- 11:18Speaker 6: of person to person. When I have this conversation with him,
- 11:22Speaker 6: he very quickly pivots to concern about the country. You know,
- 11:25Speaker 6: it's not a real selfish analysis. It's this is a
- 11:27Speaker 6: bad moment for our history. This is our country turning
- 11:30Speaker 6: the corner. And as somebody that's been around criminal justice
- 11:33Speaker 6: for over thirty years, I agree with him. It's a
- 11:35Speaker 6: rubicon we shouldn't be crossing.
- 11:37Speaker 5: But doesn't the president. Don't you believe in the principle
- 11:39Speaker 5: that no person is above the law. If the president
- 11:41Speaker 5: comitted the same crime that someone else did, shouldn't he
- 11:44Speaker 5: be charged?
- 11:45Speaker 6: No person is below the law. That's really the issue here.
- 11:49Speaker 6: I mean, you've got these investigations in Delaware that are
- 11:52Speaker 6: a thousand times more serious by a sitting president who
- 11:55Speaker 6: has authorized his doj to try to sink the candidate
- 12:00Speaker 6: see of his prime opposition, while that guy has unsecured
- 12:04Speaker 6: documents that he stole out of a skiff dozens of
- 12:07Speaker 6: years ago. So look, you know we're not talking.
- 12:10Speaker 5: About some story about favorite are you talking about that
- 12:14Speaker 5: is a ridiculous state.
- 12:15Speaker 6: There's this issue, nice try. There's an issue that anyone
- 12:20Speaker 6: that reads any newspapers would agree is a parallel track,
- 12:24Speaker 6: which is the Delaware document scandal of Joe Biden, where
- 12:27Speaker 6: there's a special Counsel Rob hr that's investigating it. You
- 12:31Speaker 6: know that there were documents that were sensitive, that were
- 12:33Speaker 6: marked classified found in a garage near a corvette that
- 12:37Speaker 6: made their way through Chinatown through the pen Biden Center.
- 12:40Speaker 6: There's eighteen hundred and fifty boxes that have never been
- 12:43Speaker 6: fully looked at at University of Delaware. You have the
- 12:46Speaker 6: ultimate unclean hands of a current sitting president who had
- 12:50Speaker 6: no declassification, had none of the protections of President Trump,
- 12:55Speaker 6: and who literally had to have stolen stuff from a skiff.
- 12:57Speaker 6: Even Dick Durbin has commented about how this was an
- 13:00Speaker 6: outrageous possession of classified material by Vice President at that point,
- 13:05Speaker 6: Joe Biden. So that's what we're talking about. You can
- 13:08Speaker 6: scoff and act like there's nothing to it, but the
- 13:10Speaker 6: whole country knows the basic notion of unequal treatment and fairness,
- 13:14Speaker 6: and that's what's an issue with this prosecution.
- 13:17Speaker 5: I think that is certainly what is an issue. We
- 13:19Speaker 5: will see how it plays out, because I don't think
- 13:20Speaker 5: you have the evidence to back up any of the
- 13:22Speaker 5: charges you just made. Mister Trusty, Thank you very much.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Wow give me a little testy there right, see George
- 13:29Speaker 2: Stepanopolis and his phony outrage there right, What are you
- 13:33Speaker 2: talking about this is absurd.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I can't believe you're talking about this.
- 13:37Speaker 2: He knows that what was said by that attorney, that
- 13:40Speaker 2: Trump attorney was spot on accurate. This is what we
- 13:44Speaker 2: know right now. They knew they were going to indict him.
- 13:50Speaker 2: They knew they were going to get him. They knew
- 13:53Speaker 2: that they were going to spin in his campaign, which
- 13:55Speaker 2: they did. They knew they were going to impeach him,
- 13:56Speaker 2: they did it twice. They knew they were going to
- 13:58Speaker 2: stabotage his administration by undermining him. They did that, and
- 14:02Speaker 2: they knew that it would undermine his entire presidency.
- 14:05Speaker 1: I'm referring to Donald Trump.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Obviously, Democrats knew they were going to do that, and
- 14:10Speaker 2: they're going to indict him after they framed him for treason.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Never forget that as well, they said he was treason
- 14:14Speaker 2: us right. The point that was made by this attorney,
- 14:20Speaker 2: and he's like, nice, try you can scoff. All you
- 14:23Speaker 2: want to is this Bill Clinton took home classified documents.
- 14:27Speaker 2: No one rated his damn house, and nobody said he
- 14:30Speaker 2: should go to jail. Obama took classified documents. We know
- 14:34Speaker 2: that no one raided his house or said or indicted him.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Mike Pence took classified documents and then gave them back,
- 14:42Speaker 2: and no one indicted him. Hillary Clinton had classified documents
- 14:46Speaker 2: on her email server. She destroyed the email server, and
- 14:50Speaker 2: nobody rated her home and nobody held her to account
- 14:54Speaker 2: for what she did. Biden had classified documents in his garage,
- 15:00Speaker 2: and the only person out of the whole list I
- 15:02Speaker 2: just gave you that got indicted was who Donald Trump.
- 15:06Speaker 2: These indictments come on the same day when the FBI
- 15:08Speaker 2: got caught hiding evidence that Biden as the vice president
- 15:12Speaker 2: took five million and foreign bribes and changed US policy
- 15:16Speaker 2: for that bribe. Garland's going to indict Trump for two reasons.
- 15:21Speaker 2: One for the news cycling doesn't want you to know
- 15:23Speaker 2: about the other problems that Biden's are having, and I
- 15:25Speaker 2: think too, it is revenge for him not getting on
- 15:29Speaker 2: getting the vote on the Supreme Court in twenty and
- 15:32Speaker 2: sixty at the end of the Obama presidency. He's angry
- 15:36Speaker 2: that he wasn't appointed to the Supreme Court, and so now
- 15:38Speaker 2: as the Attorney general, he's getting his revenge. This is
- 15:42Speaker 2: all foreign corruption. You remember, Joe Biden got paid five
- 15:47Speaker 2: million dollars to do exactly what he bragged about. He
- 15:51Speaker 2: bragged that he got you know, the guy fired in Ukraine.
- 15:56Speaker 2: He bragged about it openly because he never thought he
- 15:59Speaker 2: was gonna run for president at that point when he
- 16:01Speaker 2: was bragging about it at the World Economic Forum, like
- 16:04Speaker 2: he had no reasona believe he's ever going to run again. Well,
- 16:08Speaker 2: now we do know he ran and he won, and
- 16:11Speaker 2: so now all this is a different issue.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Biden, and this is clear.
- 16:16Speaker 2: He to act like he's separated from this or not
- 16:19Speaker 2: involved is incredibly disingenuous in a lie, Biden unleashed the
- 16:24Speaker 2: Trump indictment on the same day that the House Republicans
- 16:27Speaker 2: were able to publicize evidence of the five million dollar
- 16:31Speaker 2: Ukrainian bribery scandal. That's not an accident. That is weaponizing
- 16:36Speaker 2: the United States of America's government. He's covering up his
- 16:41Speaker 2: family corruption by prosecuting the front runner in the twenty
- 16:46Speaker 2: twenty four They truly believe that Donald like it or not,
- 16:50Speaker 2: Donald Trump is the front runner and Joe Biden is
- 16:52Speaker 2: the front runner on the left.
- 16:53Speaker 1: And that's what he's now doing.
- 16:55Speaker 2: He's saying, I'm willing to do whatever it takes to
- 16:58Speaker 2: win and to take out Donald Trump. Now there is
- 17:00Speaker 2: also an obsession here by Democrats to make sure that
- 17:03Speaker 2: Donald Trump gets the nomination, and the reason why they're
- 17:07Speaker 2: obsessed with that is for this reason. They truly believe
- 17:11Speaker 2: that Donald Trump will be the easiest person to beat
- 17:14Speaker 2: in a general election. They believe that through and through.
- 17:18Speaker 2: They also believe they can harass Donald Trump while he's
- 17:21Speaker 2: running for president, and that will be a huge asset
- 17:24Speaker 2: for them. That's part of the reason why you heard
- 17:28Speaker 2: the Special Counsel Jack Smith say, I am going to
- 17:31Speaker 2: seek a speedy trial because we want Donald Trump to
- 17:35Speaker 2: be busy defending himself and try to protect himself from
- 17:38Speaker 2: getting basically what is a life sentence if he's convicted
- 17:40Speaker 2: of any of these things, instead of focusing on running
- 17:43Speaker 2: for president.
- 17:44Speaker 3: It's very important for me to note that the defendants
- 17:47Speaker 3: in this case must be presumed innocent until proven guilty
- 17:52Speaker 3: beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. To
- 17:56Speaker 3: that end, my office will seek a speedy trial in
- 17:59Speaker 3: this matter consistent with the public interest and the rights
- 18:03Speaker 3: of the accused.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Jack Smith knows that the best thing he can do
- 18:09Speaker 2: to hurt Donald Trump now after this indictment is make
- 18:12Speaker 2: sure this trial coincides with a period in time where
- 18:15Speaker 2: he is trying to win the general election. They're going
- 18:18Speaker 2: to let him get through the primary, I believe, and
- 18:20Speaker 2: then this is going to pop up and they're going
- 18:22Speaker 2: to extend it as long as they can. They believe
- 18:25Speaker 2: that if you see the guy running for president sitting
- 18:28Speaker 2: there in a courtroom or going in and out of
- 18:30Speaker 2: a courtroom for several days in a row, towards the
- 18:33Speaker 2: time that we are going to have election day, right,
- 18:36Speaker 2: they believe then okay, they believe at that point, at
- 18:41Speaker 2: that moment, that the American people will bail and say no,
- 18:45Speaker 2: I'm good.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I don't want to.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Do that, like I'm good, I'm gonna I'm not going
- 18:52Speaker 2: to vote for him because he's in I mean, he
- 18:54Speaker 2: could be in jail, right, And that's the narrative. That's
- 18:56Speaker 2: the narrative they're looking for. That's they're hoping for. That's
- 18:59Speaker 2: the narrative that they want. Now, before I get into
- 19:02Speaker 2: more of this story, I want to say thank you
- 19:04Speaker 2: and tell you about our good friends at the Gusta
- 19:06Speaker 2: Precious Medals. You can get free gold just by learning
- 19:10Speaker 2: about gold iras from Augusta Precious Medals. It's important that

- 19:58Speaker 2: gold Ira or a Gustaprecious Metals dot com. I want
- 20:03Speaker 2: to also talk about another question that a lot of
- 20:06Speaker 2: people have asked me, including my producer, and he said,
- 20:08Speaker 2: look these pictures we keep seeing online.
- 20:12Speaker 1: They show a lot of.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Boxes and a lot of documents at Marlago and it
- 20:18Speaker 2: looks like, well, if you just look at that right, well,
- 20:21Speaker 2: Donald Trump shouldn't have had those things.
- 20:23Speaker 1: He's quote guilty.
- 20:24Speaker 2: That's what the media, that's what the press, the Democrats,
- 20:28Speaker 2: the communists, that's what they want you to believe. Let
- 20:31Speaker 2: me just tell you the number of documents that former
- 20:35Speaker 2: presidents have is astronomical. That's number one, number two. Many
- 20:42Speaker 2: times those documents have been declassified because the president of
- 20:45Speaker 2: the United States of America has the ability to declassify
- 20:48Speaker 2: those documents, so there is no issue. And then there's
- 20:52Speaker 2: a third aspect of this that people need to understand.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Why would a president have classified documents?
- 21:00Speaker 1: Right?
- 21:01Speaker 2: Why do they need them? Well, many times documents were
- 21:05Speaker 2: classified at the time, but then as time goes on,
- 21:08Speaker 2: they're no longer important, but they are part of a
- 21:10Speaker 2: legacy of a president, and presidents love getting those documents
- 21:14Speaker 2: for their presidential library from a history perspective, right, just
- 21:18Speaker 2: from straight up a history aspect of things. That is
- 21:22Speaker 2: part of why Donald Trump and every other president has
- 21:27Speaker 2: these classes that have classified documents. Now there's also going
- 21:32Speaker 2: to be a narrative, Well, Donald Trump's a narcissistic idiot
- 21:34Speaker 2: and he should have listened. And what he should have
- 21:37Speaker 2: done is he should have just played by the rules.
- 21:40Speaker 2: He should have just given these documents back when they're
- 21:42Speaker 2: asking for them. He should have not played this game
- 21:45Speaker 2: of chicken with them, and then he wouldn't be in
- 21:48Speaker 2: the situation that's in right now. All right, fair point, Okay,
- 21:52Speaker 2: let's just say we use that. That means that the
- 21:56Speaker 2: government and those that are supposed to be working for
- 21:59Speaker 2: you right when you're the president now have leverage over
- 22:03Speaker 2: you to then attack you.
- 22:04Speaker 1: That's a problem.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Second thing is the idea that this president was supposed
- 22:09Speaker 2: to just give away everything that he had is also
- 22:12Speaker 2: not a realistic and or accurate representation of what was
- 22:16Speaker 2: actually happening. So that's the other problem here. It's a narrative.
- 22:20Speaker 2: It's a lie. It is a narrative not based in fact.
- 22:23Speaker 2: It is a narrative based on we want Donald Trump
- 22:26Speaker 2: to be guilty. So this is what we're going to
- 22:28Speaker 2: sell you on, and this is what we're going to
- 22:30Speaker 2: tell you about so that you will believe that he's
- 22:32Speaker 2: guilty too.
- 22:33Speaker 1: We're going to show you pictures of all.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Of these documents and boxes are laid out, and you say, well,
- 22:38Speaker 2: of course no one should have that stuff, right, They
- 22:42Speaker 2: all have it. Hillary Clinton had a hell of a
- 22:44Speaker 2: lot of it, a lot more than Donald Trump ever did.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Al Gore, I'm sure had them. Donald Trump isn't the
- 22:50Speaker 2: only one. Bill Clinton had them, Jimmy Carter had them.
- 22:53Speaker 2: The list goes on and on. There's also another part
- 22:56Speaker 2: of this. The president is not the one that is
- 22:57Speaker 2: packing up these boxes. Somebody inadvertently packs up some boxes.
- 23:03Speaker 2: That's also another issue here. But you look at this
- 23:07Speaker 2: indictment and I think it's pretty clear it is flimsy
- 23:10Speaker 2: at best. It doesn't mean you can't get a conviction,
- 23:12Speaker 2: doesn't mean you can't get a jury in Miami. That's
- 23:15Speaker 2: a hard core liberal that may say, yeah, I want
- 23:18Speaker 2: to nail Donald Trump. But thirty seven counts and thirty
- 23:24Speaker 2: one of those counts and counts of willful retention of
- 23:27Speaker 2: national defense information, one kind of conspiracy to obstruct justice,
- 23:31Speaker 2: one kind of corruptly concealing a document a record, and
- 23:35Speaker 2: one kind of concealing a document in a federal investigation,
- 23:38Speaker 2: and one count related to making false statements. Those are
- 23:41Speaker 2: pretty flimsy charges, and I think the president knows it.
- 23:46Speaker 2: The state's filing also said this. The classified documents Trump
- 23:49Speaker 2: stored in his boxes included information regarding defense and weapon
- 23:54Speaker 2: capabilities of both the United States and foreign countries, United
- 23:58Speaker 2: States nuclear programs, Joel vulnerabilities of the United States and
- 24:02Speaker 2: its allies to military attack and plans for possible retaliation
- 24:07Speaker 2: in response to a foreign attack.
- 24:09Speaker 1: They say that is what is in these boxes. Now.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Also, so you understand, the unauthorized disclosure of these classified
- 24:17Speaker 2: documents could put at risk the national security of the
- 24:19Speaker 2: United States of America, foreign relations, the safety the United
- 24:22Speaker 2: States military and human sources, and the continued viability of
- 24:27Speaker 2: sensitive intelligence collection period periods and methods. Viability of sensitive
- 24:33Speaker 2: intelligence collection methods. Now, Trump allegedly suggested his attorney falsely
- 24:41Speaker 2: represent to the FBI he did not have documents the
- 24:44Speaker 2: government sought in a subpoena.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Is what they're also accusing him of.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Additionally, the indictment claims the former president suggested his attorney
- 24:52Speaker 2: should hide or destroy documents called for by the grand
- 24:55Speaker 2: jury subpoena. That's what they're again accusing him of. They
- 25:00Speaker 2: want him, they're coming after him, and they're not backing down. Now,
- 25:04Speaker 2: there's one other thing that I do think you need
- 25:06Speaker 2: to understand, and that's about how much damage this is
- 25:08Speaker 2: doing to the country.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Right now, I want.
- 25:11Speaker 2: You to hear what Senator Ted Cruz had to say
- 25:13Speaker 2: about that as we were recording verdict to Ted Cruz.
- 25:16Speaker 2: We did a deep dive into these indictments. You can
- 25:18Speaker 2: hear that download verdict wherever you get your podcast. But
- 25:21Speaker 2: listen to what he had to say.
- 25:23Speaker 7: I have to say, today is a very sad day
- 25:26Speaker 7: in American history. It is a shameful day in American history.
- 25:32Speaker 7: It is a disgraceful day in American history. Look, our
- 25:37Speaker 7: Constitution establishes a system of justice where Number one, we
- 25:43Speaker 7: have had for forty six presidents consistently a peaceful transfer
- 25:48Speaker 7: of power, with each president leaving office on January twentieth,
- 25:53Speaker 7: at least in the modern times, and each new president
- 25:56Speaker 7: coming in on January twentieth. Never in over two centuries
- 26:02Speaker 7: of our nation's history had a new president who launched
- 26:07Speaker 7: the entire Department of Justice, the entire machinery of Justice,
- 26:11Speaker 7: on a vendetta to persecute, to attack, to investigate, to indict,
- 26:17Speaker 7: to try to throw in jail the former president, who,
- 26:22Speaker 7: it should be noted, is also currently the leading contender
- 26:26Speaker 7: on the Republican side to run against the current president.
- 26:31Speaker 7: That has never happened at any point, no matter how
- 26:34Speaker 7: bad the vitriol is gotten. Nobody has tried to do that.
- 26:40Speaker 7: And part of the reason nobody has tried to do.
- 26:43Speaker 7: That is for the vast majority of the history of
- 26:45Speaker 7: our country, no department of Justice would go along with it.
- 26:48Speaker 7: No attorney general would countenance being turned into a political
- 26:54Speaker 7: weapon to attack your political opponent. The result of today,
- 27:01Speaker 7: Merrick Garland is going to go down in disgrace as
- 27:06Speaker 7: the most partisan and political attorney general in our nation's history.
- 27:10Speaker 7: And Joe Biden and the Biden White House has decided
- 27:15Speaker 7: to hell with democracy. By the way, today is an
- 27:19Speaker 7: assault on democracy. You know. One of the things about
- 27:22Speaker 7: the left, the language they use. They inevitably accuse their
- 27:27Speaker 7: opponents of doing what they are doing. So right now
- 27:32Speaker 7: democrats piously frame themselves as defenders of democracy. Today is
- 27:39Speaker 7: a slap in the face of democracy because what today
- 27:43Speaker 7: the Biden administration is saying is to hell with you, voters.
- 27:47Speaker 7: We're worried that the voters might decide they want to
- 27:51Speaker 7: reelect Donald Trump, and so we're not going to let
- 27:54Speaker 7: the voters do that. We're going to bring a prosecution.
- 27:57Speaker 7: And let me be clear, Look, we don't know the
- 27:59Speaker 7: details of the process CUSHA. This indictment is still sealed,
- 28:02Speaker 7: but the Biden doj is nothing if not political so
- 28:05Speaker 7: they leak like crazy, so we have pretty good intel
- 28:10Speaker 7: on what the claims are. Now, I will say this
- 28:14Speaker 7: this podcast has said for a long time, over and
- 28:17Speaker 7: over again. I've been telling Verdict listeners Merrick Garland wants
- 28:21Speaker 7: to indict Donald Trump. He intends to indict Donald Trump.
- 28:25Speaker 7: Came into office with the plan to indict Donald Trump.
- 28:29Speaker 7: I'm going to point out those predictions were all entirely right.
- 28:32Speaker 7: I also predicted on this podcast as we discussed that,
- 28:37Speaker 7: I said, look, the indictment is not just going to
- 28:40Speaker 7: be for possession of classified documents after you're out of office.
- 28:45Speaker 7: That I believe had been the plan that I believe
- 28:48Speaker 7: had been what Garland wanted to do. But then he
- 28:52Speaker 7: ran into an enormous political complication. It's not as much
- 28:56Speaker 7: a legal complication as it is a political complication, which
- 29:00Speaker 7: is that Joe Biden was discovered having done the same
- 29:03Speaker 7: thing over and over and over again, that he had
- 29:06Speaker 7: classified documents it seems in every house he owns, and
- 29:08Speaker 7: he owns houses all over the place, including most laughably
- 29:14Speaker 7: classified documents just sitting in a box at his garage
- 29:17Speaker 7: next to his corvette. Suddenly Merrit Garland had a problem,
- 29:23Speaker 7: which is if he indicts Trump just on the possession
- 29:26Speaker 7: of classified documents after he's out of office, Well, Joe
- 29:31Speaker 7: Biden has done the same thing. And so what we
- 29:35Speaker 7: predicted on this podcast is that Garland would indict Trump
- 29:40Speaker 7: for obstruction of justice instead that he would indict Trump
- 29:43Speaker 7: for lying about the documents that because Garland wouldn't indict
- 29:53Speaker 7: Biden over it, he was not saying was a crime. Well,
- 29:57Speaker 7: it turned out that prediction was mostly right, but not
- 30:00Speaker 7: entirely right. So what it appears to be the case
- 30:03Speaker 7: is the DOJ's indicting Trump for everything. They just threw
- 30:05Speaker 7: the kitchen sink at him. So they're indicting him for
- 30:09Speaker 7: apparently eighteen USC. Section seven ninety three E, which is
- 30:14Speaker 7: obstructing an official proceeding eighteen USC. Section fifteen twelve C,
- 30:20Speaker 7: which is conspiracy to obstruct justice eighteen USC. Section fifteen nineteen,
- 30:28Speaker 7: and also making a maturely false statement pursuanty eighteen USC.
- 30:32Speaker 7: Section one thousand and one. And so they're throwing all
- 30:36Speaker 7: of this. They're doing obstruction of justice, but they're also
- 30:41Speaker 7: focusing on the confidential documents that are doing both. This
- 30:45Speaker 7: indictment is garbage. This is a political attack. It is
- 30:50Speaker 7: a political attack from a thoroughly corrupted and weaponized Department
- 30:55Speaker 7: of Justice, and it's a sad day for America.
- 30:59Speaker 1: All Right.
- 30:59Speaker 2: I'm going to keep you update on this subject, and
- 31:01Speaker 2: it's going to be unfolding. I have a feeling very quickly.
