- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know, y'all suck down giving them like the million
- 0:16Speaker 1: bucks things. And it stood at Steve to the movie together.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Please don't join join me. You gotta turn you're going.
- 1:17Speaker 1: You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn. You haven't
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out to turn turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water go. Come come on your back. H huh.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure, well, good morning everybody. You are listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:10Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man o man o
- 2:15Speaker 1: man I thank God for it. I thank God for
- 2:19Speaker 1: all he's done for me, for all the little things
- 2:22Speaker 1: that are oftentimes failed to thank him for that I
- 2:26Speaker 1: take for granted for you know, I was. I was
- 2:32Speaker 1: talking the other day to a buddy of mine. We
- 2:35Speaker 1: had gotten to this conversation about God and and and
- 2:41Speaker 1: in the conversation we had narrowed it down and we
- 2:43Speaker 1: were talking about changing the way we are as people.
- 2:48Speaker 1: You know that everybody has to change. You know, nothing
- 2:52Speaker 1: stays the same. Everybody changes, and a lot of these
- 2:57Speaker 1: changes can be for the good, and a lot of
- 2:59Speaker 1: them are just they just come with time, you know,
- 3:01Speaker 1: sometimes it's aging that changes us. But no matter how
- 3:06Speaker 1: old you get, you still have the ability to improve
- 3:11Speaker 1: as a person. You may not have the foot speed
- 3:15Speaker 1: you used to have. You may not be as agile
- 3:19Speaker 1: as you used to be. Your energy level may not
- 3:24Speaker 1: be what it used to be. Your desire to do
- 3:28Speaker 1: some of the things that you used to do may
- 3:30Speaker 1: be gone. The thing that doesn't have to change and
- 3:38Speaker 1: will not change, is you. You have the ability to
- 3:44Speaker 1: continue to grow as a person, even when far the
- 3:50Speaker 1: time and nature has taken its course. We were talking
- 3:56Speaker 1: about everybody can change and everybody has the right to
- 4:07Speaker 1: reinvent themselves as they get older, and I equated it
- 4:12Speaker 1: to jumping out of an airplane. You know, there are
- 4:16Speaker 1: some people man who get to a certain point in
- 4:19Speaker 1: their life and they and they jump from the airplane.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Is now almost a stunt of some kind. It's almost
- 4:28Speaker 1: like they life then got out of control. You ever
- 4:31Speaker 1: seen somebody jump out of airplane and the parachute don't open,
- 4:35Speaker 1: and they lifestart and it seems like they start spinning
- 4:38Speaker 1: and tumbling and they can't get it together. And I've
- 4:40Speaker 1: seen some mid air rescues before. But then there are
- 4:44Speaker 1: times when you know when it hasn't worked. You know,
- 4:47Speaker 1: you jump out that airplane and and and at first
- 4:50Speaker 1: it's fun. I've never skydive before, but I would imagine
- 4:55Speaker 1: when you first jump out of an airplane that they
- 4:58Speaker 1: people describe it as a sense of being free. And
- 5:03Speaker 1: it's exhilarating when you first jump out the plane. But
- 5:07Speaker 1: if you pull that cord and nothing happens. I never
- 5:11Speaker 1: happened to me, But I can only imagine the panic
- 5:15Speaker 1: that's got to set in, because no matter how fun
- 5:19Speaker 1: it was a moment ago, the flying over to one another,
- 5:23Speaker 1: the holding hands in the air, the breeze, the descent
- 5:29Speaker 1: of the feeling of all of a sudden, if you
- 5:33Speaker 1: reach for that cord and that's not there, you're suddenly
- 5:36Speaker 1: spinning out of control. And that's what happens in a
- 5:39Speaker 1: lot of people's lives. When you first start your life,
- 5:43Speaker 1: you jump out the plane. You're free, you're young, you
- 5:45Speaker 1: ain't got nothing where about it. But then you get
- 5:47Speaker 1: to a certain point in your life when you go, okay,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna pull the cord now. And pulling the cord
- 5:54Speaker 1: is an important thing because here's the analogy my friend
- 6:00Speaker 1: gave me. He said, man, use your mind like a parachute.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It works better when it's open. Well, see what happens
- 6:11Speaker 1: with a lot of people, is they in life. They
- 6:14Speaker 1: jump out the plane and and and they and they
- 6:18Speaker 1: having this free fall and it's fun for now. But
- 6:23Speaker 1: they get to a certain point in their life where
- 6:24Speaker 1: they got themselves in a situation, or they've had a
- 6:27Speaker 1: little bit too much fun a little bit too long,
- 6:30Speaker 1: or you know, they wasn't open to nothing and they
- 6:33Speaker 1: just did what they wanted to do, or they started
- 6:36Speaker 1: getting involved with drugs or drinking or started running with
- 6:39Speaker 1: the wrong people. So you jump out the plane. The
- 6:41Speaker 1: first you're free falling. It's fun. But then after a minute, man,
- 6:44Speaker 1: something happens and they realize whoa and they reach for
- 6:47Speaker 1: the chord, and the chord don't work. Well. Now you're
- 6:50Speaker 1: in a panic stricken situation. And my suggesting is what
- 6:54Speaker 1: I've learned from the analogy that my friends shared with me,
- 6:57Speaker 1: is that we all the sooner we can open my
- 7:00Speaker 1: mind to God, the sooner we could develop that relationship
- 7:04Speaker 1: with him. It's like pulling the cord and opening a parachute.
- 7:10Speaker 1: If you open up your mind to God, God is
- 7:14Speaker 1: like a parachute. You know God can slow your descent.
- 7:20Speaker 1: God can turn this out of control free fall into
- 7:24Speaker 1: a nice ride for you. See, that's what happened to me.
- 7:30Speaker 1: I was spinning out of control. I had gotten myself
- 7:34Speaker 1: into a point man while I wasn't doing real good. Oh,
- 7:38Speaker 1: y'all would look at me and think, man Stevie man nam,
- 7:44Speaker 1: I wasn't doing real good. I had spun out of control.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I was. I was in a free fall and I
- 7:52Speaker 1: reached for the court, but I was so far away
- 7:55Speaker 1: the cord didn't open. Then I went to him and
- 7:57Speaker 1: I pulled the cord. When I went to God, I
- 8:01Speaker 1: pulled the cord and open, and he slowed my descent.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And this is what I just believe. I don't believe
- 8:08Speaker 1: now that I aged as fast as I was aging,
- 8:11Speaker 1: because I got that parachute open. Now, you know, I
- 8:14Speaker 1: take better care of myself, eating, I work out more.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Now you know I'm not out of control. I have
- 8:20Speaker 1: a direction now that when then got up under that
- 8:24Speaker 1: parachute a little bit, you know, and now I'm I'm
- 8:27Speaker 1: I'm going you know, I'm still getting older, you know, so,
- 8:31Speaker 1: but the descent is so slow. Now I'm able to
- 8:34Speaker 1: enjoy the ride. I'm guiding my parachute over. Sometimes we
- 8:38Speaker 1: go over to to a vacation spot over here, we
- 8:42Speaker 1: float back over to it. But you know, I'm still
- 8:44Speaker 1: getting old. I'm still going down. But the descent because
- 8:49Speaker 1: I've opened my mind to God, the parachute has slowed
- 8:53Speaker 1: my descent. And now I'm rocking back and forth. But
- 8:57Speaker 1: I ain't spending out of control no more. You know,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm able to enjoy the view now. You know, when
- 9:03Speaker 1: you jump out that plane and you and you pull
- 9:05Speaker 1: that cord and it don't work, you ain't looking at
- 9:08Speaker 1: the view no more. You're thinking of only one thing.
- 9:10Speaker 1: How can I slow this down? When now I'm able
- 9:13Speaker 1: to enjoy the view. I'm able to see all the
- 9:16Speaker 1: beautiful things on the horizon that God has for me.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I'm able to see all the beautiful things around me
- 9:23Speaker 1: that He's provided for me over these years. Because I've
- 9:26Speaker 1: slowed my descent. I used my mind like a parachute.
- 9:31Speaker 1: It works better when it's open. Open your mind to God,
- 9:36Speaker 1: and so you can see the view, so you can
- 9:38Speaker 1: slow the descent, so you can stop the out of
- 9:41Speaker 1: control freefall that you've been on, that you can get
- 9:45Speaker 1: your life together and see everything out on the horizon
- 9:48Speaker 1: that God has for you. You know, it turned out
- 9:50Speaker 1: to be a very true statement your mind. If you
- 9:53Speaker 1: use it like a parachute, it works better when it's open. Y'all,
- 9:57Speaker 1: you're listening to morning show, ladies and gentlemen. Let me
- 10:03Speaker 1: have your undivided attention, please, this is the Steve Harvey
- 10:06Speaker 1: Morning Show. We're doing this morning show under protests, still
- 10:12Speaker 1: doing it, but under protest. We are in full support
- 10:16Speaker 1: of peaceful protests, even though we do understand the anger
- 10:19Speaker 1: that pushes it to another level. I think that we've
- 10:22Speaker 1: seen a turn in the protest and it's gone back
- 10:25Speaker 1: to more of a peaceful movement and things are starting
- 10:28Speaker 1: to be accomplished, and they did so. We appreciate the
- 10:32Speaker 1: young people out there man for holding it down. And
- 10:35Speaker 1: this is the one that's gonna make a huge difference.
- 10:37Speaker 1: I do truly, truly believe this is the Steve Harvey
- 10:41Speaker 1: Morning Show. Surely Strawberry, Good morning, Steve. We stand with
- 10:45Speaker 1: them in solidarity. We are here. Yes, column faull real real,
- 10:52Speaker 1: I love it. Thank you, Steve, Good morning crew. What's happening,
- 10:57Speaker 1: nephew Tommy, Yes, sir, in the building, I'm riding to
- 11:01Speaker 1: the wheels fall off. That's what I'm doing and that
- 11:07Speaker 1: damn Steve Harvey, put up, put up? Boy, are you
- 11:14Speaker 1: doing it today? Man, I'm hanging with it. Dog, don't
- 11:18Speaker 1: hanging with it? Well, I mean, day after Super Tuesday,
- 11:22Speaker 1: Georgia was one of the states that voted. We voted
- 11:25Speaker 1: in Georgia. Yeah, we were all in Georgia. We send
- 11:28Speaker 1: each other Texas reminding each other who to vote for.
- 11:31Speaker 1: No good. Yeah, yeah. I was feeling though, a little
- 11:34Speaker 1: bit like Tommy, because Tommy did ask earlier in the week.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Sometimes when he goes in there, he doesn't know. We
- 11:42Speaker 1: were saying, educate yourself. And even with that, even if
- 11:45Speaker 1: you do educate yourselves, there's still some that may surprise
- 11:48Speaker 1: you when you get we're looking for black names, Shirley,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I'll be looking for black names. Yeah. Johnson, God, dog,
- 11:55Speaker 1: that's pretty tight. I don't know. Johnson. Turning, he said, well, damn,
- 12:02Speaker 1: how do you narrow down? What's the last name? You
- 12:04Speaker 1: get a little no no, no no, for the combination
- 12:08Speaker 1: of the name is no mistaken Yeah your ron, Oh yeah, yeah,
- 12:16Speaker 1: that's it. Old older there, Harold white people name they kids,
- 12:27Speaker 1: Harold drink cig come on, man, Craig, you know I
- 12:33Speaker 1: love yeah. So you know we're doing our part and
- 12:39Speaker 1: when trying to encourage everybody to keep doing theirs, man,
- 12:42Speaker 1: but keep protesting. I did a podcast we thought Bernie's King,
- 12:50Speaker 1: Doctor Bernie's King really nice, her and Benita. It was
- 12:57Speaker 1: a good day. It was a lot of problems they
- 13:01Speaker 1: that were reporting a lot of what we're gonna call
- 13:04Speaker 1: voter suppression. I mean, you know, a lot, a lot
- 13:06Speaker 1: of long, long lines. Hey, y'all listen to me, long
- 13:10Speaker 1: long lines. Listen. We stand in line when the new
- 13:13Speaker 1: iPhone come out. We're stand in line if the new
- 13:16Speaker 1: Jordan's come out. I don't care what it takes. Stand
- 13:19Speaker 1: in line to vote. That's rights. Don't don't let them,
- 13:25Speaker 1: don't let these people discourage us vote. That's right, right, yep.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we're
- 13:33Speaker 1: gonna switch the script a little bit, flip it a
- 13:35Speaker 1: little bit inside, something funny. We're gonna do some relationship
- 13:38Speaker 1: advice Steve, so get ready to ask the CLO right
- 13:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. Well, we're
- 13:47Speaker 1: gonna start the show off. Like I said, with some laughter,
- 13:50Speaker 1: it is time now for ask the CLO. Please submit
- 13:52Speaker 1: your questions to Steve Harvey FM dot com if I
- 13:57Speaker 1: can help them, though surely I will as opposed to left. Okay,
- 14:01Speaker 1: well yeah, and we often asked for both, Steve. This
- 14:05Speaker 1: one is for from Henry in Montgomery, Alabama. He says.
- 14:09Speaker 1: A month ago, I started dating a new girl at
- 14:11Speaker 1: my job. Saturday, we went to Dairy Queen to get
- 14:15Speaker 1: blizzards and then went back to her house to watch
- 14:18Speaker 1: a movie. Halfway through the movie, my stomach started bubbling.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I knew I wasn't going to make it home, so
- 14:25Speaker 1: I told her what was about to happen, and she
- 14:28Speaker 1: let me use her bathroom. I was in there for
- 14:31Speaker 1: close to thirty minutes. I was ashamed, but she assured
- 14:35Speaker 1: me it was fine. Then Monday, at work, she told
- 14:39Speaker 1: a few people what happened. Should I stop seeing her? Well,
- 14:44Speaker 1: what you need to stop doing is getting damn blizzards.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Obviously you didn't took your bubb lass over there, and
- 14:55Speaker 1: now you up in this girl's house, stomach in there.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Just tow up. Now you did an opinion ad us
- 15:00Speaker 1: because you're in the bathroom thirty minutes. You know how
- 15:03Speaker 1: you left that bathroom. You didn't strike no matches in there.
- 15:07Speaker 1: You wasn't in the running the water. You ain't in there,
- 15:11Speaker 1: You ain't had no candle, Steve, what about your favorite movie?
- 15:14Speaker 1: Along came Paul Boy. You ain't got no You ain't
- 15:20Speaker 1: doing nothing you supposed to do. You were supposed to
- 15:23Speaker 1: take your ass home if you know how you are
- 15:27Speaker 1: in that bathroom. Don't go over no girl's house in
- 15:30Speaker 1: no bathroom like that. You wrong for that? Should you
- 15:33Speaker 1: stop seeing her? You ain't doing? Number what what you
- 15:37Speaker 1: ain't doing? Number? Taking the damn dead queen? Is that
- 15:40Speaker 1: a deal breaker? Steve? What blowing up the bathroom? Well,
- 15:45Speaker 1: you know that's just a part of life. But now
- 15:48Speaker 1: he cut But he mad at her because she told somebody,
- 15:52Speaker 1: y'all one damn blizzard you up. You know your asses
- 15:59Speaker 1: lactose and like toast Kate, and you know took down
- 16:03Speaker 1: that bat the most delicious thing after what the damn cheapest,
- 16:09Speaker 1: and then you probably messed it up and got double
- 16:12Speaker 1: oriole cooking down there with that milk. Boy, was that
- 16:23Speaker 1: was my thing? Delicious? Delicious? Right? All right? Jonas in
- 16:31Speaker 1: Nashville says Steve, I'm twenty seven and I've been dating
- 16:34Speaker 1: a girl that I'm crazy about, but my parents don't
- 16:37Speaker 1: like her because she didn't go to college and she
- 16:39Speaker 1: works as a nail technician. Recently, I was I was
- 16:43Speaker 1: with my girlfriend when my mama called me and said
- 16:45Speaker 1: a few nasty things about my girlfriend. When I hung up,
- 16:48Speaker 1: my girlfriend let me know she heard everything my mama
- 16:51Speaker 1: said up with me because I didn't defend her at all.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I can't control what my mama says. I miss my girl.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I've handled things differently. Yeah, obviously you should have handled
- 17:03Speaker 1: it differently. First of all, dog, who you date is
- 17:06Speaker 1: not your mama's choice, and your mama don't like the
- 17:10Speaker 1: girl because she didn't go to college. What do you
- 17:13Speaker 1: have any idea? How many great women ain't set a
- 17:16Speaker 1: foot in college, to be honest, So look, man, I
- 17:21Speaker 1: don't know how you know. Man, something's wrong. Man. When
- 17:24Speaker 1: your family is basing the quality of a person based
- 17:28Speaker 1: on the education levels, that's crazy. So now you'dn't missed
- 17:32Speaker 1: obviously a good woman that you was crazy about, because
- 17:35Speaker 1: I can't stop with my mama's saying. Quit acting like
- 17:38Speaker 1: a child. You're twenty seven, you're a grown man, and say, hey, look,
- 17:43Speaker 1: ignore what she said. How I feel about you has
- 17:46Speaker 1: nothing to do with her. But since she heard what
- 17:49Speaker 1: your mama said, she also heard your responses. Now, the
- 17:54Speaker 1: breakup probably wasn't because of what her mama said, But
- 17:57Speaker 1: you're going along with what your mama seeing. She said
- 18:01Speaker 1: she broke up with me because I didn't defend her
- 18:04Speaker 1: at all. You didn't defend it, and you didn't you
- 18:06Speaker 1: didn't try to slow your mama down. Hey, mom, listen,
- 18:09Speaker 1: I'm telling you she's a great girl. You never said that,
- 18:12Speaker 1: so now all she knows she didn't go to college.
- 18:15Speaker 1: You don't let the bad chick walk out your life
- 18:16Speaker 1: because she didn't go to college. What makes you think
- 18:19Speaker 1: college qualifies you to be a good woman? Though of
- 18:23Speaker 1: course she taken in college. That's gonna make her a
- 18:25Speaker 1: better woman. Though. I'm gonna get that one, bro. Yeah,
- 18:32Speaker 1: so don't get you one of the evil health with
- 18:34Speaker 1: a winter college, all right, lady, and Maryland says, I
- 18:40Speaker 1: met a great man on tender and we've been talking
- 18:43Speaker 1: and facetiming for a year. When we FaceTime, I wear
- 18:47Speaker 1: a lot of makeup, a wig, and I only show
- 18:50Speaker 1: myself from shoulders up. I tease him and tell him
- 18:53Speaker 1: he'll see my body soon enough. The truth is I've
- 18:56Speaker 1: gained it close to twenty five pounds since we met,
- 18:59Speaker 1: and I fail to tell him. He is on the
- 19:02Speaker 1: heavier side too, so hopefully he won't mind. Do you
- 19:05Speaker 1: think I should tell him that I'm a big girl
- 19:07Speaker 1: before we meet? Well, let's go over, so come on,
- 19:12Speaker 1: please please. When you first met Hi, you kept your
- 19:18Speaker 1: wig on and you wore your makeup. This is what
- 19:21Speaker 1: you said. Now, sitting now on your computer, you just eat.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Now you can gain twenty since you met H. Yeah, all,
- 19:33Speaker 1: y'all for a whole year. Y'all just been on a
- 19:35Speaker 1: computer and eat. He big two. I don't think you
- 19:41Speaker 1: got nothing to lose. I say, go ahead. I think
- 19:46Speaker 1: he know you a big girl. It ain't nothing wrong
- 19:50Speaker 1: with being a big girl. In another year, you're gonna
- 19:54Speaker 1: be fifty pounds down, and then after while you ain't
- 19:59Speaker 1: gonna be able to FaceTime unless you set your phone
- 20:05Speaker 1: on the other side of the room. But why is
- 20:10Speaker 1: it that she's concerned about it? He doesn't seem to
- 20:12Speaker 1: be concerned because she's a woman. Well you know she
- 20:15Speaker 1: knows well. She set the tone by knowing. You know,
- 20:19Speaker 1: she's been I keep my wigs on. I wear the makeup.
- 20:22Speaker 1: I'm always dialed up. We've been doing it for a year.
- 20:25Speaker 1: But I was scared. So I was just eating my
- 20:28Speaker 1: hand and he's asking me to see her body. Oh,
- 20:30Speaker 1: I was eating my ass on. I was just that
- 20:35Speaker 1: my ass on. Yeah, that's a different team. Your ass off,
- 20:41Speaker 1: your ass on, So she didn't ate another whole another
- 20:46Speaker 1: whole ass you Okay, all right, we're moving on now.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Coming up next, and if you tell me he's in
- 20:52Speaker 1: the building to run that brank back right after this
- 20:55Speaker 1: crazy man You're listening show coming up at the top
- 21:01Speaker 1: of the hour, and Miss Anna standing by with today's
- 21:04Speaker 1: national and entertainment news. But right now it is time
- 21:07Speaker 1: for the nephew to run that prank back. What you
- 21:09Speaker 1: got for us, nap, I got no end shobies, Shirley,
- 21:13Speaker 1: no nd show that thing back. So let's go. Come on,
- 21:17Speaker 1: can hello, hey man? Who who? Who? Who is the
- 21:21Speaker 1: person I need to talk to about? I got a
- 21:23Speaker 1: pizza that's been messed up? Who do I need to
- 21:25Speaker 1: talk to? Well, you can talk to mecha. What's going on?
- 21:29Speaker 1: What happened in pizza? Nobody puts some man shobies on
- 21:32Speaker 1: my pizza? Black people I don't even nan shobies. Man,
- 21:36Speaker 1: Who who? Who? Who? Who would do that? Who would
- 21:39Speaker 1: put answer channels? That settles down with the language that Pal,
- 21:45Speaker 1: all right, you know, if you got answer nobies on
- 21:47Speaker 1: your pizza, he just must have gotten mixed up with
- 21:50Speaker 1: another water. I'll send you another pizza. It ain't a
- 21:52Speaker 1: big deal. But I ain't ask antobies man. Might fact,
- 21:56Speaker 1: let me ask you, so what the is the ant
- 21:58Speaker 1: shoby any damn way? It's like a sardine. That's what
- 22:02Speaker 1: a man chovy is. Okay, Pal, take a sardine. Hey, hey, hey,
- 22:07Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Man. First of all, what's
- 22:08Speaker 1: your name? What is your name? I'm Gino. I'm Gino.
- 22:11Speaker 1: So you're the owner of the damn pizza places? Yeah,
- 22:14Speaker 1: I owned the damn pizza place. And I don't need
- 22:16Speaker 1: people calling me that, cursing and me because there was
- 22:19Speaker 1: a mistake. You know, mistakes happened, Pal, where things go
- 22:22Speaker 1: on in his life and then you're getting some ant
- 22:24Speaker 1: chovies on your pizza? Right? Many? Okay, So here's the deal.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I don't had a bunch of guests coming to mind
- 22:29Speaker 1: or all the pizza, and every last one of them
- 22:32Speaker 1: got manchopies on them. You know what I'm saying. So
- 22:34Speaker 1: I got an issue with it. I have spent over
- 22:36Speaker 1: fifty dollars with you with these pizzas in the right
- 22:40Speaker 1: wrong that nobody likes anchovies but black people, you know manchophies. Man, Okay,
- 22:49Speaker 1: hold on, I'm a WoT certain I've served antchovie peacha
- 22:54Speaker 1: of black people before. Okay, the black people that I
- 22:58Speaker 1: know don't eat and showbies. Okay, well, then we'll send
- 23:03Speaker 1: you some pizzas without any man shobies on them. You
- 23:06Speaker 1: know what, I don't like your I don't like your attitude.
- 23:08Speaker 1: You know what, man, you didn't cut me with so
- 23:11Speaker 1: much attitude to start with. You didn't get no attitude?
- 23:15Speaker 1: Well okay, okay, look at it. Don't get your ass
- 23:17Speaker 1: what okay, don't get show? Why don't talking about you
- 23:21Speaker 1: know what? Did you just did? You just threaten me?
- 23:24Speaker 1: I said, don't get show. Do you think you're talking?
- 23:27Speaker 1: Who the do you think you're tough? And to face,
- 23:31Speaker 1: I'm talking to gino the own right place there, that's right,
- 23:37Speaker 1: that's right. You don't tell me you're gonna kick my phone? Okay,
- 23:40Speaker 1: found you know where the pizza is? You know you
- 23:43Speaker 1: just come down do you do you? Okay, that's it.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Man, in the next three to
- 23:49Speaker 1: five minutes, open to walk down there and kick your
- 23:51Speaker 1: little fine putting me man chobies on here man having
- 23:54Speaker 1: a little pump at attitude like you think you can't
- 23:56Speaker 1: get jos. You come on down here, okay and we'll see.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Do be a favor, go yourself and the no once
- 24:05Speaker 1: you wrote in on. Okay, I'm bringing it on down here.
- 24:08Speaker 1: All right, we'll take care of it there. Stops talking,
- 24:11Speaker 1: Anchovies up, it's all right, thal okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, cool,
- 24:16Speaker 1: all right, cool, okay, okay, okay. You'd like to say,
- 24:19Speaker 1: okay a lot? Do you out of your words? Okay?
- 24:23Speaker 1: You need to have somebody there which you when I
- 24:25Speaker 1: get there, because I promise you geo, yeah, you don't
- 24:30Speaker 1: shake it in his boots pound me and my aunt Chovies.
- 24:33Speaker 1: We're sitting here scart out of our minds right now. Okay,
- 24:36Speaker 1: you're giving me up dealt with clowns like you my
- 24:39Speaker 1: whole life. Please let me tell you this. See it?
- 24:43Speaker 1: Do you do you know who you're talking to? I'm
- 24:46Speaker 1: pocketed something an idiot who don't know how to talk.
- 24:48Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking though. No, you're talking to nephew
- 24:52Speaker 1: talk from the Steve Harvey More Clive Show. Mister Gino,
- 24:56Speaker 1: you just got break. You're telling me I'm throwing F
- 25:02Speaker 1: bombs all over the radio. You're topping F bombs all
- 25:08Speaker 1: over the radio. Baby, who I want to know who
- 25:10Speaker 1: did this to me? Because they're getting some F bombs.
- 25:12Speaker 1: You have a guy that works for you. He says
- 25:16Speaker 1: he works five to clothe Andre. You gotta you gotta
- 25:19Speaker 1: Drede that works for you. Yeah, I gotta Drede that
- 25:22Speaker 1: works for me. And Dred's gonna be sending some time
- 25:23Speaker 1: in a walking freezer. Uh. People gonna need anchovies. Huh.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Black people don't need your anto. Baby. Hey, I gotta
- 25:36Speaker 1: ask you this, Missuzino. What is the baddest and I
- 25:39Speaker 1: mean the baddest radio show in the land? Your show,
- 25:45Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land is the Sive
- 25:48Speaker 1: Arvey Show, No Morning, No One. I man, I'll be sad.
- 25:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna send you some pizzas. I'm sending that station
- 26:00Speaker 1: the peaches with antwer double anchovies and every one of them.
- 26:08Speaker 1: And now you have it, big brother stupid at its
- 26:11Speaker 1: best doing it again, Yes, big stupid, little brother stupid.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Never it's big brother that is stupid. Don't say that, Steve,
- 26:23Speaker 1: Well he as a father now to that end, that's
- 26:27Speaker 1: that's an ugly combination because like, I'm crazy and as
- 26:31Speaker 1: a parent, I know I'm crazy. Yeah, yeah, I will
- 26:36Speaker 1: never forget that time you told us you had all
- 26:40Speaker 1: your kids come up, your sons come up there, and
- 26:42Speaker 1: you had something to tell them, and you were standing
- 26:44Speaker 1: up their necking my hands on my hip like and
- 26:50Speaker 1: I and I made him look at because because they
- 26:52Speaker 1: always trying to hold her head down, but I kept
- 26:54Speaker 1: making them look at it. That is not good. That's
- 26:59Speaker 1: not a good it's not a good look. Oh you
- 27:03Speaker 1: draw the line at that, Timmy. It's a crazy uncle. Yeah,
- 27:06Speaker 1: that's a little that's above and beyond right, you know
- 27:10Speaker 1: visual who oh that we told that story. Look at
- 27:14Speaker 1: me when I'm talking to tell you, yes, look at me,
- 27:16Speaker 1: and by right, look at me in my crazy man,
- 27:20Speaker 1: it's crazy, but I still want a pizza right earlier
- 27:28Speaker 1: in the morning. Well, that's how we developed our taste, budds,
- 27:31Speaker 1: because we work early and we're used to eating just
- 27:34Speaker 1: whatever we would normally eat and yeah hours you know, yeah,
- 27:38Speaker 1: and by time we get off the air, we've been
- 27:40Speaker 1: wanting some good lune. Yes man, whatever it is. Yeah,
- 27:48Speaker 1: I'm getting a pizza in the day. Okay, Now, what
- 27:52Speaker 1: what do you want on your pizza? I know we
- 27:53Speaker 1: talked about the chest strip, but you want anchovy I
- 27:55Speaker 1: mean pepper und pepperoni, Italian sausage and mush and mushrooms.
- 28:04Speaker 1: That's it now, right, when you're trying to do good,
- 28:08Speaker 1: you can do veggie that is not a real pizza.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I'm with him on that, when you're trying to do good,
- 28:16Speaker 1: when yeah, I've tried to do good and I've done good,
- 28:18Speaker 1: and I've had several vegetable pizzas and like it's it's
- 28:22Speaker 1: cool because it's a pizza, but it's and there ain't
- 28:26Speaker 1: being something be good, but it's it's just something missing. Listen,
- 28:33Speaker 1: Just some ain't quite right cheese? Why don't we just
- 28:39Speaker 1: call it flatbread? Yea, that's pizza, got meat on it,
- 28:44Speaker 1: many crust right, yes, now, I don't like thing like
- 28:49Speaker 1: the crust. Yeah, I like regular and I like deep dish.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I like pizza pi. Why would I want pizza on
- 28:58Speaker 1: a cracker? All right coming up at the top of
- 29:04Speaker 1: the hour, we're gonna talk about voting, what happened yesterday,
- 29:09Speaker 1: what we need to look out for in November. We'll
- 29:11Speaker 1: do that at the top of the hour. Right after this.
- 29:13Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. So, as we
- 29:19Speaker 1: were talking about earlier, yesterday was Super Tuesday and a
- 29:23Speaker 1: few states in five states. That was North Dakota, South Carolina,
- 29:28Speaker 1: West Virginia, Georgia, and Nevada. Nevada, Yeah, Nevada. And you know,
- 29:35Speaker 1: we voted in Georgia yesterday. I didn't have any problems.
- 29:41Speaker 1: I went very very early, but man, by the time
- 29:43Speaker 1: I got back home, there were lines upon lines upon line. Steve,
- 29:48Speaker 1: how was your experience? There was a lot. It was
- 29:51Speaker 1: really really a long line where we went. You know,
- 29:55Speaker 1: we made a couple moves. But my children, who voted,
- 30:00Speaker 1: and all of them voted, were not that fortunate. And
- 30:03Speaker 1: my middle son, Jason, whose wife is pregnant Amanda, was
- 30:08Speaker 1: in line for over five hours. Wow. And I mean
- 30:12Speaker 1: it was just a catastrophe there. And like one guy said,
- 30:16Speaker 1: no one, no one in the United States should have
- 30:21Speaker 1: to wait six hours to do something. That's one of
- 30:25Speaker 1: the most American privileges and rights, and that's to vote.
- 30:30Speaker 1: And my son got up to the finally to the thing,
- 30:34Speaker 1: and the lady looked at this license, said you can't vote,
- 30:38Speaker 1: and it just so happened. She was white. I'm just
- 30:42Speaker 1: telling the story the way. And he said, no, I'm voting.
- 30:46Speaker 1: She said, no, your license doesn't match the registration. He said,
- 30:51Speaker 1: cause I moved, and so then she said you can't vote.
- 30:56Speaker 1: My son said no, I'm voting. And then a black
- 30:59Speaker 1: lady next to him said rolled her eyes and said
- 31:02Speaker 1: all he got to do is feel out this form
- 31:04Speaker 1: and he could put his vote in. Wow, and gave
- 31:08Speaker 1: him the form and he went in there and voted. Well, because,
- 31:13Speaker 1: first of all, in fairness, let me say this, everybody
- 31:17Speaker 1: that works at the polling stations don't know all the
- 31:19Speaker 1: polling rutles. No, these these ain't no everyday jobs. Secondly,
- 31:27Speaker 1: and first and foremost, what I think voter suppression is real.
- 31:33Speaker 1: When that senator joke at that party, other than voter suppression,
- 31:37Speaker 1: what's the number one thing we need to work on?
- 31:39Speaker 1: And everybody laughed and he got in trouble for it,
- 31:41Speaker 1: but he tried to play like it was a joke.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Voter suppression is real. And where you saw a lot
- 31:47Speaker 1: of this was in Fulton County in Atlanta. And what
- 31:51Speaker 1: they're trying to do everybody is discourage us from the
- 31:53Speaker 1: voting process. So when November gets here, we're getting on.
- 31:56Speaker 1: But no, no, no, you know what we're gonna do.
- 31:58Speaker 1: We're gonna early vote, We're gonna absentee vote, We're gonna
- 32:02Speaker 1: show up and vote. And I don't care how long
- 32:05Speaker 1: you try to make us uncomfortable. We're gonna outweight you,
- 32:09Speaker 1: We're gonna outlash you, and we're gonna outvote you because
- 32:13Speaker 1: we sick of this. Matter of fact, we're sick of
- 32:17Speaker 1: any of y'all that's a part of this. We are
- 32:20Speaker 1: sick of all of it. And if your ass is
- 32:24Speaker 1: a part of it, we sick of you too. And
- 32:28Speaker 1: you're not gonna have your job. Come no fimblet because
- 32:34Speaker 1: you were about to lose job. I promise you to
- 32:38Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, God willing let us all live.
- 32:42Speaker 1: We are dedicating this show to change in the way
- 32:46Speaker 1: this is in this country. And if you don't think
- 32:49Speaker 1: we can push some people to the polls, you got
- 32:52Speaker 1: the wrong show. You got the wrong show. You can
- 32:55Speaker 1: ask Barack Obama, can we push people to the polls broke?
- 33:00Speaker 1: And we don't just push him, we actually go out
- 33:02Speaker 1: and vote ourselves too. So June twenty third is next,
- 33:07Speaker 1: New York, Kentucky, Virginia. Get it done. Okay, all right,
- 33:11Speaker 1: well we own in all them. That's right, all right.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Time to get caught up with today's news. Come on, Steve,
- 33:18Speaker 1: let's do it, ladies and gentlemen, miss A and Trimp,
- 33:22Speaker 1: thank you very much. This is answer for the news.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Homegoing services were held yesterday in Houston for George Floyd,
- 33:28Speaker 1: the black man who's killing at the hands of four
- 33:30Speaker 1: now fired Minneapolis cops sparked not just national, but worldwide
- 33:34Speaker 1: protests against police brutality. The father of two's final moments
- 33:38Speaker 1: were captured on video by a bystander as a white
- 33:41Speaker 1: cop named Derek Chauvin ground his knee into Floyd's neck
- 33:44Speaker 1: for over eight full minutes. Vice President Joe Biden met
- 33:47Speaker 1: with the family on Monday and described it to CBS
- 33:50Speaker 1: this morning. His little daughter was there. I want to said,
- 33:53Speaker 1: Daddy's going to change the world. And I think her
- 33:55Speaker 1: daddy's going to change the world. I think what's happened
- 33:58Speaker 1: here is one of those great inflection points in a
- 34:00Speaker 1: district for real in terms of civil liberties, civil rights,
- 34:03Speaker 1: and now lawmakers in several cities are taking steps to
- 34:06Speaker 1: address this country's forever a problem of racist policing, a
- 34:10Speaker 1: situation the Reverend Al Shopton referred to in his eulogy yesterday.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Until the law is uphill and people know they will
- 34:18Speaker 1: go to jail, They're gonna keep doing it because they
- 34:22Speaker 1: protected by wickedness in hot places. Mister Floyd's body taken
- 34:27Speaker 1: by horse drawn carriage his final resting place next to
- 34:29Speaker 1: his mom just outside Houston. Georgia was one of the
- 34:32Speaker 1: states holding primaries yesterday, but many polling places experienced problems
- 34:35Speaker 1: with the peach states new voting machines, long line some
- 34:38Speaker 1: people took five hours to vote. Secretary of State there,
- 34:42Speaker 1: a Republican, says he'll take a close look at the
- 34:44Speaker 1: election management at two Metro Atlanta large counties where they
- 34:48Speaker 1: had big, big problems mean a lot of blacks there. Meanwhile,
- 34:50Speaker 1: George's Republican Speaker of the House also announced that lawmakers
- 34:53Speaker 1: are opening a probe into what happened yesterday the Indianapolis
- 34:56Speaker 1: City Council, By the way, ruled that racism is a
- 34:59Speaker 1: public health issue. A Confederate monument that one stood across
- 35:03Speaker 1: from Jackson Jacksonville, Florida's city hall has been taken down.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry ordered it removed, and he says
- 35:12Speaker 1: that every other Confederate monument in his city is going
- 35:14Speaker 1: to be brought down as well. Mayor Curry, a Trump supporter,
- 35:17Speaker 1: though also marched in a Black Lives Matter protests alongside
- 35:20Speaker 1: players from the NFL's Jacksonville Jackuars. By the way, it
- 35:23Speaker 1: looks like America's opinions of police has dropped significantly, even
- 35:27Speaker 1: among whites. According to a survey by the Democracy Fund
- 35:31Speaker 1: and UCLA Nation Skate Project, forty four percent of Asians
- 35:35Speaker 1: now have an unfavorable opinion of the police. That's up
- 35:37Speaker 1: from eighteen percent. Fifty four percent of Black America's view
- 35:41Speaker 1: cops unfavorably, up from forty four percent. Thirty six percent
- 35:44Speaker 1: of Latinos have low opinions of police. That's up from
- 35:47Speaker 1: twenty five percent, and now thirty one percent of White Americans.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Thirty one percent of white Americans see the men and
- 35:54Speaker 1: women in blue and a dim light. That is up
- 35:55Speaker 1: from only eighteen percent. No surprise, I guess the show
- 35:59Speaker 1: Cops is Cops has been taken off the air amid
- 36:04Speaker 1: all the protests over heavy handed policing and sometimes murderous
- 36:07Speaker 1: behavior after thirty two years. Now back to the Steve
- 36:10Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You're listening string show? All right? So
- 36:15Speaker 1: yesterday marked three full weeks of protesting sparked by the killing,
- 36:21Speaker 1: of course, of George Floyd. We had Reverend Al Sharpton
- 36:24Speaker 1: on the show yesterday and he said he is more
- 36:26Speaker 1: hopeful now than he's ever been. There have been massive
- 36:30Speaker 1: gatherings for racial justice in this country, and guys, what
- 36:35Speaker 1: is on your hearts? How do you feel? I'm just
- 36:37Speaker 1: asking how do you feel? Or she'll take over in
- 36:39Speaker 1: the protest. I'm loving that all colors out there marching,
- 36:43Speaker 1: and like I've said before, and you guys tease me
- 36:46Speaker 1: about it, I'm the oldest person on the show, and
- 36:48Speaker 1: I have no problem with it. I have never seen
- 36:50Speaker 1: a protest with this many white people marching for black causes,
- 36:55Speaker 1: and there's been black causes for years. I've never said,
- 36:58Speaker 1: even when doctor Martin march, you can go back to
- 37:01Speaker 1: Marcus Garvey, you can go back to Malcolm hey, you
- 37:04Speaker 1: can go you can go back. I just never seen it.
- 37:06Speaker 1: And Steve, you had the right point, the fact that
- 37:09Speaker 1: everybody was homeless time they had to see it and
- 37:13Speaker 1: it had to affect them. And they just say, you know,
- 37:17Speaker 1: this is we're gonna We're not gonna sit there and
- 37:19Speaker 1: let this happen to our brothers and sisters anymore. You know,
- 37:23Speaker 1: if you do them wrong, you're doing us wrong. And
- 37:25Speaker 1: they hit the streets and our president, who sits in
- 37:28Speaker 1: the White House knows that he's not loved like he
- 37:32Speaker 1: thought he was loved before. When you can look at
- 37:35Speaker 1: your window and see chaos, that's a frightening thing. Because
- 37:40Speaker 1: a man and looked at it Wooden seeing some chaos.
- 37:42Speaker 1: That's a whole. But Jake, let me tell you how
- 37:45Speaker 1: simple this guy is. When he wants to feel loved,
- 37:50Speaker 1: he throws a rally in one of his states with
- 37:54Speaker 1: his backers in it. True, he just go to Arizona,
- 37:59Speaker 1: or he goes somewhere where where where he got his base,
- 38:04Speaker 1: and he holds a rally and then he says and
- 38:07Speaker 1: he parades around and they clapform achieve, and that's enough
- 38:10Speaker 1: of him. And feeding didn't go back up there but
- 38:12Speaker 1: it's a little bit different this time. And you're right
- 38:15Speaker 1: because now he's actually seeing man out his window on
- 38:20Speaker 1: a daily basis how they really feel. And it's and
- 38:23Speaker 1: it's got him in thinking because as a president, he
- 38:27Speaker 1: has not said one thing to try to make the
- 38:33Speaker 1: people that's hurting in this the African American community. He
- 38:37Speaker 1: has not said one thing to make them feel good
- 38:43Speaker 1: about it. Not one thing. He has not said one
- 38:48Speaker 1: You know what, We've been wrong. This is something we
- 38:50Speaker 1: need to correct. These are these are problems that we're having.
- 38:55Speaker 1: It's unjust what's been going on, and laws that have
- 38:58Speaker 1: to be changed to make everybody feel a part of
- 39:01Speaker 1: the American system. That's all you got to, Hey, Doc,
- 39:04Speaker 1: just act like a damn politician and say it. When
- 39:08Speaker 1: he went across the street and held that Bible upside down,
- 39:11Speaker 1: I mean that it was Someone asked him, is that
- 39:16Speaker 1: your Bible? He said, it's a Bible. It's a Bible.
- 39:20Speaker 1: All right, Okay, guys, we'll hold on a second, hold
- 39:25Speaker 1: on coming up. We'll do more of this discussion coming
- 39:28Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after the hour. We'll have
- 39:30Speaker 1: more on the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this
- 39:34Speaker 1: you're listening to Steven Show. All right, we've been talking
- 39:39Speaker 1: about racism and voting and protesting and all of that. Um,
- 39:44Speaker 1: we just want to know how you feel about what's
- 39:46Speaker 1: going on, and we're getting it off our chests, you know,
- 39:49Speaker 1: like they always say, when you in a hole, stop digging.
- 39:52Speaker 1: He can't stop digging. He really cannot stop digging. He
- 39:55Speaker 1: just can't. It's because I don't think in his mind,
- 39:59Speaker 1: and I don't professed to know what's going on in
- 40:01Speaker 1: that crazy No. I don't think he can even imagine
- 40:07Speaker 1: him not having this sort of power, uh, you know,
- 40:11Speaker 1: and losing the election in November. I don't think he's
- 40:14Speaker 1: even fought about that. I just don't. Never he never
- 40:21Speaker 1: thought surely that this many people would turn against him.
- 40:24Speaker 1: I mean because like Steve was saying, you can go
- 40:26Speaker 1: to the rallies and then you can go back to
- 40:28Speaker 1: the White House. But when you go to the rally
- 40:29Speaker 1: and you come back and they're still protesting at the
- 40:32Speaker 1: White House, change the name the Black Lives Matter. I mean,
- 40:38Speaker 1: you look at the window in the street that you
- 40:40Speaker 1: it's named black Lives Matter. They named Damn Street. He's
- 40:48Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter. Yeah, and see I'm I'm gonna tell
- 40:52Speaker 1: you something else. Man. This guy he looks for causes
- 40:57Speaker 1: that he can come in and act like he's doing something.
- 41:01Speaker 1: COVID nineteen still exists, by the way, I just want
- 41:03Speaker 1: to remind you of that. But he was doing press
- 41:06Speaker 1: conferences every day. But when he saw that death told
- 41:09Speaker 1: behind him that digit kept going up seventy thousand and
- 41:12Speaker 1: eighty thou ninety thousand tops one hundred thousand, he quit
- 41:16Speaker 1: coming out there talking because he couldn't beat the invisible enemy.
- 41:20Speaker 1: So what he did was because anytime he can create
- 41:25Speaker 1: an enemy, he does Colin Kaepernick kneeling. He flipped the script,
- 41:28Speaker 1: made it about the military and the flag, right, So
- 41:31Speaker 1: he had a visible enemy that was us. Now Here
- 41:34Speaker 1: we go, the protesters out in the street for equality
- 41:38Speaker 1: and justice and against police brutality. Right, the protesters out there,
- 41:45Speaker 1: they're marching. He don't open his mouth to say nothing
- 41:48Speaker 1: about it. But the after the looting and burning started,
- 41:53Speaker 1: then his idea was, I'm gonna send in the military.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I'm the president of law and order. Okay. But then
- 42:03Speaker 1: guess what, we flipped the script on him. We stopped
- 42:07Speaker 1: burning and looting, and we went right back to peaceful protests,
- 42:12Speaker 1: and we got a lot of help from non African
- 42:14Speaker 1: Americans who are making sure these protests state peaceful. Now,
- 42:18Speaker 1: guess what, now, you can't be the president of the
- 42:21Speaker 1: law and order. Now, guess what. He back in the
- 42:23Speaker 1: White House ain't open his mouth no more because he
- 42:26Speaker 1: don't know what this song do wrong as it is.
- 42:32Speaker 1: As wrong as it is I am, I mean, I
- 42:34Speaker 1: know it's wrong. I'm glad that it's not all us.
- 42:38Speaker 1: It would be a whole different story even with just
- 42:41Speaker 1: us out there breaking into jays. And let me tell
- 42:44Speaker 1: you something else, man, When you start pushing old white
- 42:48Speaker 1: people over, busting their head on sidary, when you start
- 42:52Speaker 1: shooting white girls in the stomach with rubber bullets, when
- 42:56Speaker 1: you start pushing white kids students down, See they go home,
- 43:00Speaker 1: tell their mom and they daddy. Now they mom and
- 43:02Speaker 1: they daddy. They love their kids like we love our kids.
- 43:06Speaker 1: So now when you push their kids down, who alone?
- 43:09Speaker 1: But see you push our kids down. You know what
- 43:11Speaker 1: we tell our kids. Don't go out there no more
- 43:14Speaker 1: with them people, don't. Don't you take your ass back
- 43:17Speaker 1: down there, because we know today it was a push.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Tomorrow you're gonna get shot. Now, white people. Oh no, no, no,
- 43:24Speaker 1: you pushed Becky. Oh here comes Hell's to pay huh.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Now it's very different. And now they're talking about disbanding
- 43:34Speaker 1: police departments. Yea Van Jones was on there and he
- 43:39Speaker 1: bought up a good point. Man. They're talking about changing
- 43:43Speaker 1: the way police police. And so now, man, the only
- 43:48Speaker 1: thing I could think of and I agree with, is
- 43:52Speaker 1: we got to develop laws for consequences. If you are
- 43:56Speaker 1: police officer and you shoot an unarmed man, you're going
- 43:59Speaker 1: to prison. If you shoot a person for resisting arrest
- 44:05Speaker 1: and he doesn't have a weapon, you're going to prison.
- 44:08Speaker 1: No more chokeles, no more knees on the neck. Look,
- 44:12Speaker 1: you got full offices and the man is handcuffed. How
- 44:15Speaker 1: much more pressure you need on him? All right? So
- 44:18Speaker 1: if you want to comment, all you have to do
- 44:20Speaker 1: is go to Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook.
- 44:24Speaker 1: And coming up next, we're flipping it again. The Nephew
- 44:27Speaker 1: is here with Today's Frank phone Call. That's right after this.
- 44:30Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the
- 44:35Speaker 1: top of the hour. Right about four minutes after, it's
- 44:37Speaker 1: my Strawberry letter for today. Check out this subject. I
- 44:42Speaker 1: want to have multiple women, but I love my wife.
- 44:50Speaker 1: I wish you would. Right now, nephews here, Frank phone
- 44:58Speaker 1: call what you got for us to day? Now? Paper clip?
- 45:02Speaker 1: H paper clip? Clip? All right? Paper clips? Paper clips?
- 45:07Speaker 1: I mean that sounds you know? Yeah? Harmless? Right? Yes,
- 45:13Speaker 1: they always do? Yeah, all right, let's go cut down
- 45:17Speaker 1: paper clips. I'm trying to reach for ronic cook she
- 45:24Speaker 1: hiver ronic. How are you doing? My name is Philip.
- 45:26Speaker 1: I'm from CORP. How you doing? I'm good? Thank you?
- 45:30Speaker 1: How can I help you today? You were with the
- 45:32Speaker 1: company here? UMU see you just left about what six
- 45:36Speaker 1: months ago? That's correct? Okay? And you left with a severance?
- 45:41Speaker 1: Am I right? That's right? I'm sorry, Philip. My name
- 45:44Speaker 1: is Philip. Philip. I'm actually calling on some security questions
- 45:49Speaker 1: and wanted to reach out to you. Now you you
- 45:51Speaker 1: own your own travel agency, now that's correct, okay? Um
- 45:57Speaker 1: Now you actually left with the severance when you when
- 45:59Speaker 1: you up the company? Is that right? That's right? Okay?
- 46:03Speaker 1: And how long were you actually with? Uh? I was
- 46:05Speaker 1: there for eight years. I'm sorry whom things are again?
- 46:08Speaker 1: My name is Philip. I'm with security and what can
- 46:11Speaker 1: I do for you? Philip? Uh? Well we got we
- 46:13Speaker 1: have you. You started this business? Now did you start
- 46:17Speaker 1: it before you left Philip? I started this stickness after
- 46:22Speaker 1: I left there. You started it after you left there,
- 46:25Speaker 1: that's correct, one month, one month after you left there. Okay,
- 46:29Speaker 1: So the reason why I'm giving you a call, and
- 46:32Speaker 1: I've been you know, we've gone through some security tapes
- 46:35Speaker 1: and things of that nature. We're missing so many rims
- 46:38Speaker 1: of paper, We're missing thousands of paper clips, We're missing
- 46:43Speaker 1: so many office supplies, and it's been brought to the
- 46:46Speaker 1: security's attention that it's targeting that you are the person
- 46:49Speaker 1: that has taken all of this this office. I'm sorry.
- 46:53Speaker 1: Let me let me get this right, Filip. You are
- 46:55Speaker 1: calling my place of business after me if I have
- 46:57Speaker 1: used paper clips and paper I have cut as in
- 47:00Speaker 1: my establishment. Right now, I can't talk to you about this, okay,
- 47:02Speaker 1: ma'am listen. I know that I'm sorry for calling your
- 47:05Speaker 1: place to business, but I want to say this. We're
- 47:08Speaker 1: at the point of actually picking you up behind items
- 47:12Speaker 1: that have been taken from the company, so I wanted
- 47:14Speaker 1: to call and see if we could get it taken
- 47:15Speaker 1: care of over the phone. Now you gotta go, then,
- 47:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to actually come out to your business,
- 47:20Speaker 1: and that's something that I'm trying not to do. You
- 47:22Speaker 1: know what, Hold on one second? You hold that clips?
- 47:26Speaker 1: Who does this on my phone? Talking about from damn
- 47:29Speaker 1: paper clips? I have been gone from there for six months.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Are you calling me now about some paper and someone
- 47:34Speaker 1: paper clips? Man? We're missing at least five thousand paper clips.
- 47:39Speaker 1: You're gonna tell you what you can do this. I
- 47:41Speaker 1: have been out of that company for six months. I
- 47:43Speaker 1: worked for y'all for eight years, and you all let
- 47:45Speaker 1: me go. I didn't take anything from you. Okay. Have
- 47:48Speaker 1: you ever used any paper or any paper clips outside?
- 47:53Speaker 1: Have you done that? Of course? I used paper every
- 47:55Speaker 1: day I run a business. Okay, But you're using our
- 47:58Speaker 1: paper for your own personal business, your travel agent or
- 48:01Speaker 1: whatever it is that you have. You're using office supplies
- 48:05Speaker 1: that right there is against the law. Oh no, I
- 48:07Speaker 1: will go and buy you some damn paper clips. Okay,
- 48:11Speaker 1: Well we don't want paper clips. Man. Now we've given
- 48:13Speaker 1: you a severance play and for my understanding, it's been
- 48:16Speaker 1: a substantial amount. And right now it's gonna be filing
- 48:20Speaker 1: charges and taking you to court over these paper clips
- 48:23Speaker 1: and papers. I'm gonna tell you what you can do
- 48:25Speaker 1: that five thousand paper clips on paper clip them together
- 48:27Speaker 1: and hang you out for by your I stealing the
- 48:29Speaker 1: damn paper clips. You're gonna call me six months way
- 48:31Speaker 1: to talk about some paper and paper clips, ma'am. I
- 48:33Speaker 1: don't want to go back to the book, Phillips. I'm
- 48:36Speaker 1: sorry this is some fillip. So are you wanting to
- 48:39Speaker 1: return all the merchandise because it looks like I didn't
- 48:42Speaker 1: hate no merchandise. I don't have to steal nothing from y'all.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I work for you for eight years, somebody for eight years.
- 48:51Speaker 1: You stole paper paper clips, you stole off the supplies, scissors,
- 48:56Speaker 1: masking tape. You have taken markers, pens, we got no
- 49:00Speaker 1: what video takes you got? Phillip. I ain't steal nothing
- 49:03Speaker 1: from y'all. I was an employee of the year. You
- 49:05Speaker 1: wanta gave me a severance package? How dare you call
- 49:07Speaker 1: me six months? Lady? You can take ten paper clips
- 49:09Speaker 1: and shove them up you're behind? Excuse me? Are we
- 49:12Speaker 1: done here? No, we're not done here. So take your
- 49:15Speaker 1: video tape and your paper clips and your scissors, and
- 49:18Speaker 1: you know what to do with them. No, no, I
- 49:20Speaker 1: don't man, No, listen. What we're gonna have to do
- 49:23Speaker 1: is you're gonna get served right there at your travel agency.

- 49:28Speaker 1: gonna give you my address because you come over here.

- 49:46Speaker 1: Christian woman. If you want me on this phone cussing
- 49:48Speaker 1: and fighting with you, I'm not fighting to a little paperclips.
- 49:50Speaker 1: What's your address to up? We're listening over five thousand
- 49:53Speaker 1: paper clips and we need those. Now, what's your address?
- 49:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna bring your damn paper and paper clips to you.
- 49:59Speaker 1: How about so you are you are guilty of using

- 54:11Speaker 1: right here, right now, live on the air. Okay, here
- 54:15Speaker 1: we go. Buckle out and hold on tight. We got
- 54:17Speaker 1: a four year here. It is the Strawberry Letter subject.
- 54:22Speaker 1: I want to have multiple women, but I love my wife.
- 54:26Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a forty year old black man
- 54:30Speaker 1: with a lot of weight in my community. I'm a
- 54:33Speaker 1: very well known businessman and former professional football player. I've
- 54:38Speaker 1: been married for years for ten years, and I have
- 54:41Speaker 1: three children. My wife is very sweet and we never
- 54:44Speaker 1: argue or have any issues with our children. Everything is
- 54:49Speaker 1: great except for our sex life. My wife is a
- 54:56Speaker 1: good woman that is very reserved in the bedroom. I
- 55:00Speaker 1: had a lifestyle of having multiple women in my bed
- 55:03Speaker 1: before I got married, and I could get a woman
- 55:06Speaker 1: to do whatever I like sexually. It wasn't a control thing.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Women did it just to say they've been with the
- 55:13Speaker 1: ball player. Two years ago, I fell back into my
- 55:17Speaker 1: old ways after I met a woman that's a prominent
- 55:20Speaker 1: and successful realtor. We clicked right away, and I found
- 55:24Speaker 1: out that she's into a swinging type of lifestyle. She
- 55:30Speaker 1: shut up. She invited me to join her exclusive group
- 55:34Speaker 1: of upscale swingers in our city. I enjoyed the group
- 55:38Speaker 1: for a while, but the realtor and I realized that
- 55:41Speaker 1: we loved having sex mainly with each other. So for
- 55:44Speaker 1: the past year and a half we've been in a relationship.
- 55:47Speaker 1: And then she invited a female partner to join in
- 55:51Speaker 1: on the fun. I went from being a swinger to
- 55:55Speaker 1: more of a polyamory lifestyle. I'm worried that my wife
- 56:00Speaker 1: I could find out because some of the swinging couples
- 56:03Speaker 1: have children that go to school with our children. One
- 56:07Speaker 1: of the ladies is my wife's sorority sister. Now my
- 56:11Speaker 1: conscience is getting the best of me. I could tell
- 56:14Speaker 1: my wife a warderdown version of what's been going on,
- 56:17Speaker 1: Like I went to a party and when I realized
- 56:19Speaker 1: that everyone was what everyone was doing, I left. I
- 56:23Speaker 1: hate to break up with my girlfriends, but there is
- 56:26Speaker 1: no way I could live without my wife and kids.
- 56:29Speaker 1: Should I keep quiet and pray this never comes out
- 56:32Speaker 1: or tell my wife part of the story this started
- 56:35Speaker 1: out be quiet Tommy. So so, so let me ask
- 56:42Speaker 1: you this, sir, forty year old black man, you don't
- 56:47Speaker 1: think your wife is going to find out you? I mean, really,
- 56:50Speaker 1: the kids and the sorority sister and all that. Okay,
- 56:54Speaker 1: let's go down the list. You say you're a former
- 56:56Speaker 1: professional football player. You're very well known businessman with a
- 57:00Speaker 1: lot of weight in your community. So, in other words,
- 57:03Speaker 1: everyone knows you. You probably can't walk around in your
- 57:06Speaker 1: city where there's someone who doesn't know you. I just
- 57:09Speaker 1: think it's a matter of time before you know, your
- 57:13Speaker 1: wife finds out or it gets out, because, like I said,
- 57:17Speaker 1: too many people know you, and people talk. Word gets around.
- 57:20Speaker 1: I don't know how you've been getting away with it
- 57:23Speaker 1: for this long, I honestly don't. I mean, why would
- 57:27Speaker 1: your risk at all just for freaky sex? Why would
- 57:29Speaker 1: you do that? Okay? Is that a crazy question? Is
- 57:33Speaker 1: that a crazy all? Right? Is that a crazy question?
- 57:38Speaker 1: I'm just trying to find out. You say you can't
- 57:40Speaker 1: live without your wife and kids. Well, you sure don't
- 57:43Speaker 1: act like it. You sure don't act like it. What
- 57:46Speaker 1: a big risk you're taking here. I think you're a
- 57:48Speaker 1: sorry excuse for a husband. For cheating and doing this
- 57:50Speaker 1: to your family. I mean, thank god they don't know yet.
- 57:54Speaker 1: You have way, way too much to lose, and you're
- 57:57Speaker 1: putting putting it all on the line. I'm gonna surprise
- 58:00Speaker 1: Steve when I say I don't think you should tell
- 58:04Speaker 1: your wife. Normally, Steve, you know I would say tell.
- 58:07Speaker 1: But in this case, I just don't see how it
- 58:10Speaker 1: would serve any good, it would serve any purpose. She
- 58:14Speaker 1: doesn't know. I think you should stop. I definitely think that.
- 58:21Speaker 1: I just think if you tell her it would make
- 58:23Speaker 1: things worse. I really really think you to turn your
- 58:27Speaker 1: life around, you need to stop. You need to ask
- 58:29Speaker 1: God for forgiveness. You need to pray, pray, pray, pray
- 58:33Speaker 1: that your wife never finds this out. You need to
- 58:36Speaker 1: clean up your act. You need to get rid of
- 58:38Speaker 1: these girlfriends. You need to do all of that. Now.
- 58:41Speaker 1: Having said that, I know you're not gonna do it.
- 58:43Speaker 1: I know you're not. I know you're not. I hope
- 58:46Speaker 1: you do, though, for the sake of your wife and
- 58:48Speaker 1: kids that you claim you can't live without. Steve, all right,
- 58:53Speaker 1: let me just tell you what really happened in this letter.
- 58:56Speaker 1: Right here, the forty year old black many rights a letter.
- 59:00Speaker 1: I know exactly where you're coming from. So let's just
- 59:02Speaker 1: peel back the skin on this banana for a second.
- 59:06Speaker 1: First of all, the whole beginning of the letter has
- 59:09Speaker 1: nothing to do with the letter nothing. I don't care
- 59:14Speaker 1: that you have weight in your community. I don't care
- 59:17Speaker 1: that you a former football player. I don't care that
- 59:21Speaker 1: you had wonderful sex in your past. That story that
- 59:25Speaker 1: you're telling fits any damn man. The driver PEPSI truck
- 59:32Speaker 1: that work down at Forward, that's got a job at
- 59:36Speaker 1: the post office. My cousin is a Maleman in DC.
- 59:42Speaker 1: He making about seventy two thousand dollars a year. He
- 59:47Speaker 1: got twenty five women on his route. You got three,
- 59:54Speaker 1: little girl, because you trying to deal this story about
- 59:56Speaker 1: how upscale out bro. This whole letter is just about
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: you and what you want to do. So I don't
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: care how upscale you are in the community, because, brother,
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: we can take away all that and this story fits
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: into regular people's lives that you're trying to tell them.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: I'm a heavyweight in the community and I'm on this
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: right here. Dog, You just do it. Want some more
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: chicks outside of the one you got? You want to
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: have your cake and eat it too. That's all this
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: is about. That is the dilemma that faces everybody in
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: their life at one point in time. All right, we'll
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: have part two of Steve's response coming up at twenty
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: three minutes after the hour. Subject I want to have
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: multiple women, but I love my wife. We'll get back
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening show, All right,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letters. Subject I
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: want to have multiple women, but I love my wife.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: The subject what I want to have my cake and
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: eat it too. That's what it should have been. Yeah,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: that's all this is, bro The fact that you're a businessman,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: form of football player. You're heavyweight in your community. So
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: damn what all this coming down to is you want
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: to set up who you are before you got married.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: You could get a woman to do whatever I like sexually,
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: all us could, all us could let me take you
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: before you marriage your wife. Y'all did things. Y'all don't
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: really do that much. No damn more. Hello, Hello, you
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: what you think you're painting a picture and telling the
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: story that don't nobody else know? So you wrote it
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: in in the form of a letter. You know what
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: I mean? People living this that you're talking about, but
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: didn't really figured it out though, which obviously you haven't.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: So now here going, Uncle Steve talking to you, little dude.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: You forty, It wasn't a controlled thing with women and everything,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: you know, It's just I just said, they just wanted
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: to say they had been with a ball player. Okay,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: you ain't a ball player them, or you ask forty
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: can't No, I'm just stop all this. Tell me about
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: what you was. I guess they just wanted to be
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: with a ball player. Okay you ain't a ball playing them,
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: or why they won't be with you now? Because you
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: keep making yourself available. So now let's see what you
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: just did two years ago. I fell back into my
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: old ways because you missed it. You know, you met
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: a woman that was a prominent and successful reality you
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: keep talking about all these then the money level of people, y'all.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Just two people had met. We clicked right away. I
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: found out she was a she was into a swinging
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: type of lifestyle. Okay, now, which goes to show you
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: once again, whole people swaying too. See, I just I
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: don't know old people swing pass people get old pole
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: people swing to see all this. I met an exclusive uh,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: and she invited me to join her exclusive group of
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: upscale swingers whole people being swinging in the project stay sway.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: You bring yo gal, I bring my gal. We're gonna
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: meet up in y'all. We're gonna have some popcorn and
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: fry some fish, and then we're gonna swans. Oh Joe,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: you're trying to make that. She invited me to join
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: this exclusive group of up sales weekly. I enjoyed the
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: group for a while, but the realty and I realized
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: that we just love having sex, mainly with each other. Okay,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: so for the past year and a half we've been
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: in a relationship. And then she invited her female partner
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: to join in the fun. Okay, so not And of
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: course you had to do that because someone, someone somewhere
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: that you're not pointing out in this letter has a
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: gun to your head. Understand man, why you just got
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: to do all of this here because you fell back
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: into your old ways. So okay, all right, So now
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: I went from being a swinger to more of a
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: polygament or polyamory lifestyle, which I had that on my
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Facebook show That's You me and she. That's what that is.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: So now you'd fell into that, you me and she.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: So now you did that, I'm very worried that my
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: wife could find out what all this. We'd have read
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: three fourths of the letter. Now you're very worried that
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: your wife would find out. It's one way for her
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: not to find out. But we ain't gonna cover that
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: the always. Now listen to this, because some of the
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: swinging couples have children go to school with our children.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: What swinger? It's sitting their baby down going hey look here?
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: You know you know Jessica's father that played football. You
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: do know that Jessica's father that played football, that he
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: comes over here with me and your daddy and we
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: do each other. Now you need to tell that to Jessica.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: So she didn't know what her father is doing. So, Bro,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: when you wrote in the letter, you wearing that might
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: find out because some of the swinging couples have children
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: that go to school with our children. How hard y'all swinging?
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Where the kids know? I'm telling you man, So one
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: of them and then one of the ladies is my
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: wife's sorority system. Okay, bro, are you stupid? See that's
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: where the connection is. One of these girls is your
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: wife's sorority, says, don't worry about who kids go to
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: school together. Now I'm my conscious is getting the best
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: of me. Where did that kick in? Because you've been
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: with this realtor for two years, and I could I
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: could tell my wife a watered down version of what's
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: been gonna What is watered down about you having sex
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: with some other people? How you gonna wet that one?
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Please tell us how you went this conversation? So we
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: getting watered down? Were just tuned kissing? Okay, hold on,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna get them. I went to a party and
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: I realized, Uh I was you know, like I went
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: to a party. When I realized what everybody was doing,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: I left. Why are you telling her you went to
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: the party and you left? That's water, That's how you
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: are there. I hate to break up with my girlfriends,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: but there's no way I could live without my wife
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: and kids. You should Okay, when I come back, can
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: I finish this letter? Thank you? I'll be right back
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: to tell his party three discovery letter coming up. I
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: want to have multiple women, but I love my wife.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: We'll be back at forty six minutes after the hour.
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: we're into part three of this strawberry letter. You have
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: not finished. You wanted to tell the young man something.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: He's forty though, the man something I want to have
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: multiple women, but I love my wife is the subject.
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: It's about a forty year old man who's prominent in
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: the community, former football player. I'm setting up all this
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: like anybody care cheat too. We're in an upscale swingers
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: clause Paul people, swing man, Please, this is not a
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: social class status move. You'dn't made. You doing what anybody
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: capable of doing. Man, you cheat, Let's just call it
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: what it is. I'm not judging you, but I'm just saying, dog,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: let's just call it what it is. It happens sometimes,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: and that's what you're doing. You're cheating. Yeah, that's an
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: upscale swinging club. She invited her female partner in. We
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: liked it, We found out we liked each other. Mold
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: we went back to that. But now I'm in an awe.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: I'm in a three way he, me and she, you,
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: she and her. You're gonna mess around. Somebody gonna pull
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: their clothes off in surprise your ass. You keep on him.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: I'm telling you, right, Nah, that's what's gonna happen. You're
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: gonna mess all this going on, you me and she
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: and all this. You're gonna mess around and get some
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: wet naked in one of them groups and somebody gonna
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: pull pull it clothes off, and your ass gonna be surprised.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: But you might end up going along with that too,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: because you seem to be open to a lot of
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: stuff though. So now just listen to me. Bro Listen
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: to me. I hate to break up with my girlfriends,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: but there's no way I could live without my wife
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: and kids. Well, if you continue, were about to find
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: out how long you can live without your wife and kids. See,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: at one point in time, you got to get to
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: the point of figuring out what matters most in life.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Now you don't want to see Listen to your statement,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: I don't want to break up with my girlfriend. Okay,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: I got that, But guess what your next statement is.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: But there's no way I could live without my wife
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: and kids. Now, if you broke up with your girlfriends,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: you be able to handle it. You don't want to.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: But if you lose your family. Man, you're gonna crumble
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: dog and see that statement alone. You gotta make a choice. Now,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: should I keep quiet and pray this never comes out
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: and tell my wife part of the story. Why would
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: you tell your wife this, man? And why did you
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: bring up prayer? Why don't you stop and pray, ask
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: for forgiveness and get your life together? For you mess
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: around and lose the thing that matters most to you.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: And let me tell you something, man, about the other woman.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Most of the women wish they were the wife. Most
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: of the women wish they were the wife. Listen post
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: your comments on today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM.

- 1:10:19Speaker 1: out the Strawberry Letter podcast on demand. Okay, we'll be
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: up right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, So, did you guys see the
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: social media video of Phoenix Karen. That's where we're calling
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: her Phoenix Karen. This is a lady that's wearing the
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: black and white dress in a Shell convenience store in
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: Phoenix Steve. She made racist remarks to a Native American woman,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: telling her to go back to Mexico. Then Phoenix Karen
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: appeared to have pushed her the Native American woman, and
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: then the Native American slapped Phoenix Karen. Okay, and it
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: was it was a flavorful smack. It was flavorful. That means, like,
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: you know, she slapped what's the lady named Caen. She
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: slapped Karen to the point where it was flavorful. She
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: tasted something she had never tasted because you could see
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: when she slapped her. She adjusted the big ass glasses
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: and oh my god, oh my god, and immediately went
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: as far away from her as she could. She didn't
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: want because it wasn't nothing, but Mo asked her more
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: that well, her real name is Tamara Harrian. And her
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: husband apologized and said that his wife is suffering from
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: mental illness. And you know how many times he just
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: said that you're crazy, you've lost your mind. He said,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: I'm so hateful what she was. Yeah, it really was, Yeah,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: it really was. And then we all saw the older man,
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: the older gentleman, the seventy five year old man, Martin Gino. Uh,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: he was shoved to the ground in a recent protest
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: in Buffalo, New York. Well later, President Trump tweeted the
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: Buffalo protester shoved by police could be an ANTIFA provocateur.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: He said, I watched him fall harder than he was pushed.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: Could be a setup. That's president, that's the President tweeted.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Let me let me ask you a question. How do
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: you fall harder than you were pushed? Yeah, he's seventy five.
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: He ain't athletically what he used to be. He doesn't
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: want to fall at all at seventy five. But who
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: falls to bust a head? Yeah, I don't care if
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: he's seventeen or seventy five. Nobody wants to do that. No,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: that's right. Yeah, that's crazy. But man, that that this president.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: That man, y'all come on, listen to me. We have
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: to become so angry with the way he is as
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: a public official and a proposed leader of the were
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: one of the nation's greatest in the free world, supposedly,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: we have to start being appalled at his behavior. Who
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: who here, who here in this country can point to
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: this president to their children and go, you should be
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: proud of him. I would love my son to grow
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: up and beat Donald Trump. I don't know, because I
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: know a lot of people who would so proud that
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: their children would know of Barack Obama, so proud that
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: their children would know of George Bush. Yeah, Ronald Reagan.
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: But if you're a parent and you're saying to your child,
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: I wish my child would grow up to be Donald Trump,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: then something is wrong with you. And if you and
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: most people would not agree with that statement, right, So
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: why are we electing him back into the White House? Folks?
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: I vote matter. We got to get to the poll
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: and send a clear message. I want y'all to take
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: this protest further to the polls. Yes, yes, I want
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: to take this unite it further to the pole. Black
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: lives matter so much that we're not going to let
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: you in the leadership capacity not show any compassion towards
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: They're working in the White House right now to write
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: a speech about unity in this country. Why don't he
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: just come out and say something. Yeah, they're they're trying
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: to figure out who's gonna write it. What are they
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: gonna say? Is he gonna read it off the teleprompter?
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: Oh lord? What if he goes off script? You know?
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: How bad that's gonna be for the cut, you know,
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: off script. Yes, that's where the drama come from, right right, Yeah,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: that's the dude that he is. Yeah, all right, coming
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and some
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: trending stories at twenty minutes after the hour. Right after
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: this you're listening to Steven Show. New York Governor Andrew
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: Cuomo pushes to pass Amy Cooper bill. Uh. They that's
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: the thank you, Karen, right, Yes, and he wants state
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: lawmakers to make it a hate crime to call nine
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: one one with a false accusation based on race, yes, leadership, Yes, yeah, Also,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: the New York State Assembly has passed the Eric Garner
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: Anti Chokehold Act, making it a felony to injure or
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: kill someone using the chokehold. Actually so yeah, So there's
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: some movement, there's some videos to extend this. What we've
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: got to do, as I said to Revenheu Sharpting, we
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: have to have mandatory sentencing, just like we do for civilians.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: We have to have mandatory sentencing for police officers. If
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: you kill in the line of duty a person who
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: is unarmed, that's jail time. There's no reason to kill
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: a person who's unarmed or running or running away from
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: running away anything that if you kill a person, you're
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: going to jail. Yeah, if you shoot a person who
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: is unarmed simply by not following instructions, there's consequences for that.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: We got to get mandatory sentencing for these police. All right,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: coming up, more of a Steve Arvey Morning Show and
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: some trending news at thirty three minutes after the hour
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to show. Yesterday was Super
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Tuesday and a few states in five states. That was
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: North Dakota, South Carolina, West Virginia, Georgia, and Nevada. Nevada, Yeah, Nevada.
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: And you know, we voted in Georgia yesterday. I didn't
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: have any problems. I went very very early, but man,
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: by the time I got back home, there were lines
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: upon lines upon line. Steve, how was your experience? There
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: was a lot. It was really really a long line
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: where we went. You know, we made a couple moves.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: But my children, who voted, and all of them voted,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: were not that fortunate. And my middle son, Jason, whose
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: wife is pregnant Amanda, was in line for over five hours. Wow.
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: And I mean, it was just a catastrophe there. And
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: like one guy said, no one, no one in the
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: United States should have to wait six hours to do
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: something that's one of the most American privileges and rights,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: and that's to vote. And my son got up to
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: the finally to the thing, and the lady looked at
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: his license said you can't vote, and it just so happened.
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: She was white. I'm just telling the story the way,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: and he said, no, I'm voting. She said no, your
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: license doesn't match the registration. He said, cause I moved,
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: and so then she said you can't vote. My son said, no,
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: I'm voting. And then a black lady next to him
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: said rolled her eyes and said all he got to
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: do is feel out this form and he can put
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: his vote in. Wow, and gave him the form and
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: he went in there and voted. Well. Because, first of all,
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: in fairness, let me say this, everybody that works at
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: the polling stations don't know all the polling rules. These
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: these ain't no everyday jobs. Secondly, and first and foremost,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: what I think voter suppression is real When that senator
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: joke at that party, other than voter suppression, what's the
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: number one thing we need to work on. And everybody laughed,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: and he got in trouble for it, but he tried
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: to play like it was a joke. Voter suppression is real,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: and where you saw a lot of this was in
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Fulton County in Atlanta, And what they're trying to do, everybody,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: is discourage us from the voting process. So when November
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: gets here, we're getting on. But no, no, no, you
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: know what we're gonna do. We're gonna early vote, We're
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: gonna absentee vote, We're gonna show up and vote, and
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: I don't care how long you try to make us uncomfortable.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: We're gonna outweight you, We're gonna outlast you, and we're
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: gonna outvote you because we sick of this. Matter of fact,
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: we sick of any of y'all that's a part of this.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: We are sick of all of it, and if your
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: ass is a part of it, we sick of you. Two.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: Coming up, it's our last break of the day, this
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: last break of the day, and we'll have some closing
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey at forty
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: nine minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're listening
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: to all right, guys, here we are last break of
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: the day. It is here, Steve Um. We're waiting for
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: you to take us home with Well, you know what.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: We've been talking about it and I think that one
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: of the most important things we do since we have
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: this generation, these young people that have gone out in
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: these streets of all nationalities, especially proud of the African
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: American youth who have taken up the challenge lunch of
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: protests for racial justice and equality and to end this
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: police brutality that's been happening to us since we got here.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: I want to encourage them, along with the non African
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: Americans who have joined them for this cause. Has has
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: made us feel quite hopeful that finally we have some
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: people who are who are starting to get a sense
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: of what we're talking about and what's been happening. But
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I want to encourage you all to take this same
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: fervor that you have for protests, take this same anger,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: take this same energy, and take it to the polls.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: Take it in your primaries, Take it in your voting
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: for judges DA's, take it to voting for commissioners, for assessments,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: for the bills in your community. Fill out your twenty
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: twenty censes. I'm telling you, man, take this to the
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: November polls and send a clear message that we are
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: sick and tired of being sick and tired, that we
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: have had enough and we're not taking no more. See
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: now that America is watching, watching them push push everybody
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: to the ground, Blacks, the elderly, white girls, latinos Asians
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: see the police now is pushing everybody to the ground.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: And now that you're seeing it, it's time for us
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: to push back. And the pushback has got to be
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: at the poles. If you are filled with the hatred
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: of these policies, if you are DA's who have all
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: these mandatory senses things that you have in place for
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: minorities and people who can rent, who commit low level crimes,
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: then you're gonna be out of work. We are going
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: to send a message to those people in New in
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: DC that don't seem to get it, all of you
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: that keep ignoring the president's tweets like it's something it's
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: okay he can do that. I didn't see it. I
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: didn't know. I'm above that. I don't read tweets. I tweet,
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: but I don't read how stupid. Did that sound? Who
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: the hell tweets but don't read tweets? What the hell
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: you tweeting? Fault? You want people to read your tweet
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: The reason you're tweeting is because you know people reading,
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: and what makes you tweets because of what you read.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: We got to get to the polls and make a difference, y'all.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: We're gonna make a difference because we're tired of this.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: Hill Man. We tired all of this, hill Man. We
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: just really really sick and tired of it. We threw
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: with y'all with this mess, right, hill this ain't none
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: but a bunch of bull and it ain't nothing else
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: we can call it no more. Were fed up. We
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: threw with y'all with this foolishness, y'all being shoving down
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: our throat spoonful, and we're supposed to be patient with it. Well,
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: we're not patient no more. And I'm sorry, man. I
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: don't condone violent protests because I don't want to try
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: to win this with violence, because all it does is
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: give them the ok to retaliate, and like we need
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: more of that, right, But the fact that a building
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: is burned on the ground can't matter more. Than a
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: life taken down. That's all I'm trying to say. I
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: don't give a damn about your building going down to
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: the ground when you ain't cared about these lives and
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: get getting taken down. And that's what these young people
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: are saying. Man. And I understand that. I was a
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: kid in the sixty eight rids man went up there
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: and participated and then got the beating of my life
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: because my MoMA never told me not to go up there.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: But even then, man, I was going on, Man, this
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: ain't right. I didn't really understand it, but I knew
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: when right. They killed doctor King. Doctor King was only
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: talking about us holding hands with each other and loving
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: each other and giving each other some rights. Why they
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: kill him? And then I heard an old man say,
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: white folks don't care nothing about us. They're not trying
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: to hold out hand. You know who that old man was.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: He was my father? And I went down hold up really,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: he said, they kill all every time we do something,
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: they kill it. They kill doctor King. What they kill
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: that man? Fault? And so man, that that started something
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: in me. And I've been and I'm sick of feeling
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: that way as a black man every day I cannot
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: wake up or not realize that I'm black. The only
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: time I wake up in the morning and don't realize
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: I'm black, it's when I'm in Africa. It's the only
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: time I don't have to factor in the fact that
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: I'm going out here today and I could be the
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: only one over here, because when you go to Africa,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: that's not the case. But we're sick of it. Were
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: siting tide. We're siting tide of y'all ignoring us, and
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: that's what we gotta do. And I'm not And there
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: are enough good non African Americans out there that's starting
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: to show up that's making us feel a little bit better.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: But we're tired, man. And I hope them brothers do kneel.
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: And I don't give a damn how you feel about
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: them kneeling. I hope they do kneil. I'm gonna kneel.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna do something, because man, we're sick of it.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: So while everybody's singing the national anthem, if the national
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: anthem ain't talking to me, what am I singing the
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: song for? We want to sing the song and haven't
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: mean something to us too, And that's the change change
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: your constitution because it ain't include in us. Make your
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: constitution count for us like a count for you. Let
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: me stop for us, say something, get us put off
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: the air. Thank you for all Steve Harvey contests. No
