- 1:03Speaker 1: you gotta turn yeah, very you gotta turn't the town
- 1:46Speaker 1: at the time you love me? Got the turn out
- 1:49Speaker 1: to turn water wan go come come on? Uh huh,
- 2:06Speaker 1: I shore will good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:11Speaker 1: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:14Speaker 1: got a radio show. Yeah, I'll do man, God is
- 2:17Speaker 1: good Hey today, I just want to get right to
- 2:20Speaker 1: it because this has really been pressing me. I woke
- 2:25Speaker 1: up and this was on my mind and I wanted
- 2:26Speaker 1: to share it with you because I know this for
- 2:29Speaker 1: a fact. See I've I've lived this for a fact.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And you know the majority of things I talked about
- 2:40Speaker 1: in the morning before we get started with the regular show.
- 2:44Speaker 1: It's something that I've experienced. I can only tell you
- 2:47Speaker 1: what I know. And so I really really understood why
- 2:50Speaker 1: God has uh had my life go the way that
- 2:54Speaker 1: is gone because if I didn't have all these tests
- 2:58Speaker 1: in my life, I didn't have of all these tests
- 3:01Speaker 1: that I passed, all these tests that I failed. If
- 3:06Speaker 1: I didn't have all of those, the good and the bad,
- 3:11Speaker 1: What could I share with you in the morning? What
- 3:15Speaker 1: could I tell you about hanging What could I tell
- 3:20Speaker 1: you about failing and then winning? What could I tell
- 3:23Speaker 1: you about hanging in now when all hope was gone?
- 3:27Speaker 1: How could I share that with you? Unless I've had
- 3:31Speaker 1: those moments myself, And so I've really come to the
- 3:34Speaker 1: realization that I am, just like all of you, the
- 3:38Speaker 1: pm total of my past, just as you are the
- 3:42Speaker 1: sum total of your past. It is these bumps and bruises,
- 3:46Speaker 1: the ups and downs, the peaks and valleys, that create
- 3:50Speaker 1: us who we are today. All you got to do
- 3:53Speaker 1: is be grateful for the fact that you survived at all,
- 3:56Speaker 1: and somehow you still sitting here, you still standing. So
- 4:01Speaker 1: with that in mind, I want to share something with you.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I don't care what happens to you. I don't care
- 4:10Speaker 1: what you're going through. Don't you dare, dare give up
- 4:17Speaker 1: under no circumstances. I don't care who told you know,
- 4:23Speaker 1: I don't care who told you you never make it.
- 4:26Speaker 1: I don't care who who has shown you no faith.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I don't care who ain't believed in you. I don't
- 4:33Speaker 1: care what you heard about him saying behind your back.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Don't you dare dare ever give up? It is the
- 4:42Speaker 1: biggest trick that the enemy has is making us think
- 4:49Speaker 1: we ain't gonna make it. The biggest trick that enemy
- 4:54Speaker 1: has is filling our minds with hopelessness to uh water
- 5:01Speaker 1: down the illusion that there is a possibility that you
- 5:06Speaker 1: might still have a chance to get over. The biggest
- 5:11Speaker 1: trick he uses is when you make a mistake and
- 5:13Speaker 1: you fall, He gets you to start to thinking it's final,
- 5:18Speaker 1: that there is no resurrection, there is no redemption, there
- 5:22Speaker 1: is no recovery. He just makes you think it's final.
- 5:26Speaker 1: He is the master deceiver. Don't you dare dare ever
- 5:31Speaker 1: give up? I don't care what happens to you. I
- 5:36Speaker 1: don't care what besets you, befalls you, trips you up,
- 5:40Speaker 1: what circumstantial situations may arise. Don't you dare dare ever
- 5:45Speaker 1: give up? Because listen to me. These are tests that
- 5:51Speaker 1: you are going through. And these tests, whether you pass
- 5:55Speaker 1: the test or it appears that you've failed the test,
- 5:59Speaker 1: that test accomplishes the mission if you're smart about it.
- 6:05Speaker 1: If you pass the test, Let's say you're going through
- 6:09Speaker 1: a situation and you get over and it goes the
- 6:12Speaker 1: way you wanted to do, then what you've learned is
- 6:15Speaker 1: if you hang in there, there's a light at the
- 6:19Speaker 1: end of the tunnel. Okay, mission accomplished. If you fail
- 6:25Speaker 1: the test and it doesn't go the way you want
- 6:28Speaker 1: it and it goes the opposite and it turns out
- 6:32Speaker 1: into a negative result, and in response you were looking
- 6:35Speaker 1: for is a no. That's not final. That doesn't mean
- 6:41Speaker 1: it's over. That doesn't mean it's time to turn back.
- 6:46Speaker 1: It simply means that now you have learned a valuable experience.
- 6:52Speaker 1: You have learned a valuable lesson. You now know what
- 6:57Speaker 1: not to do. H you are now because you know
- 7:01Speaker 1: what not to do, another step closer to getting it right.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Listen to me. It has to happen this way. You
- 7:12Speaker 1: have to have the rain in your life to get
- 7:16Speaker 1: the flowers in your life. You got to have the
- 7:19Speaker 1: darkness in your life to appreciate the sunshine in your life.
- 7:25Speaker 1: You got to have woes and worries to appreciate the joys.
- 7:31Speaker 1: It is merely a test. So when you get through failing,
- 7:38Speaker 1: and you get through stumbling, and you get through messing
- 7:41Speaker 1: it up, all that's getting you one step closer to
- 7:46Speaker 1: getting it right. Oh, my relationship ended. I'll never be
- 7:50Speaker 1: able to find another person like that. Not only will
- 7:54Speaker 1: you not be able will not only will you be
- 7:56Speaker 1: able to find a person like that, you can find
- 8:00Speaker 1: a person that far better than that if you don't
- 8:05Speaker 1: give up. But see, sometimes you got to go through
- 8:09Speaker 1: the bad ones to get to the good ones. Don't you, dare, dare,
- 8:14Speaker 1: never give up. I don't care what happens to you
- 8:17Speaker 1: if you lose a love one. And Lord knows, I've
- 8:21Speaker 1: lost some people I've loved dearly, with every inch in me.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I've lost my mother, my father, my brother, and my
- 8:32Speaker 1: best friend. I don't know. I know people who have
- 8:36Speaker 1: lost their children. Goodness, man, I can't even imagine that,
- 8:42Speaker 1: but they kept on going. What you're giving up for? Oh,
- 8:47Speaker 1: I got you miss him, and I got you grieving,
- 8:51Speaker 1: But I got news for you. Don't you let the
- 8:53Speaker 1: devil make you think it's over for you because somebody
- 8:56Speaker 1: else ain't still here. It was their time now. I'm
- 9:00Speaker 1: not trying to lessen to blow for you. But I'm
- 9:02Speaker 1: trying to get you up on your feet so you
- 9:05Speaker 1: can stop all this old woe is me because the
- 9:07Speaker 1: things is happening to you. You're not the first person
- 9:10Speaker 1: that has happened to Come on, now, let's get a grip.
- 9:12Speaker 1: Let's wrap your mind around this thing. You have got
- 9:16Speaker 1: to move forward, if it's just in memory of those people.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I was on one of the commercial breaks on Family
- 9:22Speaker 1: Feud the other day and somebody asked me, uh something,
- 9:26Speaker 1: and I forgot the question, but my answer was, I've
- 9:28Speaker 1: always wanted my mother and father to be proud of me,
- 9:33Speaker 1: and in the absence and their demise, I'm hoping just
- 9:37Speaker 1: somehow man, that they're watching me, that they see their boy,
- 9:42Speaker 1: that I'm down here, that I'm doing better, that I'm
- 9:45Speaker 1: making something about myself, that I'm loving my wife, that
- 9:49Speaker 1: I'm taking care of my kids. Just want my old
- 9:52Speaker 1: man to see that about me. You know, I want
- 9:55Speaker 1: my mother to see I'm trying to give my life
- 9:57Speaker 1: together over here. You say, I'm trying to be a
- 10:00Speaker 1: better person. My mom was a Sunday school teacher for
- 10:03Speaker 1: forty years. She's been praying for me for a long time.
- 10:07Speaker 1: I just hope, man, And that's all I'm doing. It's
- 10:10Speaker 1: just hoping that they see me so they can't be
- 10:12Speaker 1: proud of me. See you, you you, you you. You
- 10:16Speaker 1: got to understand that when you make these mistakes, that
- 10:21Speaker 1: when you fall and stumble and you get it oh
- 10:23Speaker 1: so wrong, it ain't over for you. Don't you, Dad, Dad? Dad?
- 10:28Speaker 1: Ever give up? Don't stop thinking, man, because it ain't
- 10:32Speaker 1: happening just the way you wanted to that it ain't
- 10:34Speaker 1: meant to be devil. He got so many tricks to
- 10:37Speaker 1: deceive you. You know why you're being tested right now
- 10:41Speaker 1: because there is no testimony without the test. You got
- 10:46Speaker 1: to go through something. It's all good man telling you.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I just wanted to share that with you. Don't you
- 10:52Speaker 1: give up out there. I don't care what's happening. Don't don't, don't,
- 10:56Speaker 1: don't get deceived. The victories coming, but you ain't gonna
- 10:59Speaker 1: get it if you quit. Hang on, y'all, you're listening
- 11:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Everybody. Guess what. Guess what? Guess what?

- 11:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey is still dying there dressed like Daniel Moon
- 11:24Speaker 1: at the menstring camp. He got had on. But it's
- 11:35Speaker 1: awful good cause he's mentoring the boys down. I just
- 11:38Speaker 1: wish he would up the age on the mentoring after
- 11:42Speaker 1: some point. No no, no no no, like like my son,
- 11:44Speaker 1: he's forty seven. Can I get him dying there? You know?
- 11:49Speaker 1: I like that look you're look just a touch up.
- 11:55Speaker 1: He doesn't need to touch up of mentor. And that's sorry.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I regret to him form you that the cut off
- 11:59Speaker 1: age is well. I need to talk to Steve about
- 12:02Speaker 1: that when he when he gets back. I faked. Next ship.
- 12:06Speaker 1: We need to up the age to thirty five and
- 12:09Speaker 1: up comment is on vacation, Carla is on vacation. So
- 12:13Speaker 1: holding it down to Judge Trulie Jans Brown for the
- 12:16Speaker 1: Steve Horthing morning showed this morning and in here doing
- 12:20Speaker 1: it with us because I would not could not, ain't
- 12:22Speaker 1: not gonna do it by myself. If my girl shull,
- 12:25Speaker 1: it's throw berry and you know this and the and
- 12:30Speaker 1: the other part of Sick and Die is the championship teams.
- 12:37Speaker 1: In fact, it is sick of course, girl Carla is out.
- 12:43Speaker 1: She's on vacations, on vacations right man. But we're holding
- 12:49Speaker 1: it down. We got it. So you listen to the
- 12:51Speaker 1: baddest show in the country. What's going on, Shirley, Well,
- 12:53Speaker 1: you know what the show is about. But we have
- 12:55Speaker 1: to bring you the news. UM. Sadly, we have to
- 12:58Speaker 1: report that there's been another shooting. This one um was,
- 13:02Speaker 1: according to authorities, was because of a neighbor neighborhood beef.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Witnesses told officials they heard people outside. Uh. This was
- 13:09Speaker 1: in Trenton, New Jersey. It was at the historic Robling
- 13:12Speaker 1: Wireworks venue where there was a New Jersey arts and
- 13:15Speaker 1: music festival going on. Witness has heard people arguing inside
- 13:20Speaker 1: the wire work the Robling Wireworks venue shortly before two
- 13:23Speaker 1: gunmen opened fire. The fight soon spilled out into the
- 13:26Speaker 1: streets as attendees ran for cover. There were about a
- 13:29Speaker 1: thousand people there. Uh. They were in attendance when the shooting.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Shooting started. I think one uh witness said, all hell
- 13:36Speaker 1: broke loose, All hell broke loose. UM our thoughts and prayers.
- 13:40Speaker 1: This has got to stop. I mean I feel like
- 13:42Speaker 1: a broken record. All the times were always asking the question,
- 13:48Speaker 1: you know, how many people have to die before they
- 13:50Speaker 1: do something about it. Yeah, and several people have been injured. Uh,
- 13:54Speaker 1: this is We'll get more MS and will have more
- 13:56Speaker 1: in the news and uh we'll of course bring you
- 13:59Speaker 1: updates as the goes on. But we just wanted to
- 14:01Speaker 1: just stop for a minute and tell you this is
- 14:04Speaker 1: just terrible. We have to do something. We say this
- 14:06Speaker 1: all the time, but we have to. When are we
- 14:08Speaker 1: going to I don't know, I mean, I don't know
- 14:10Speaker 1: what else to say. There's nothing else. It seems like
- 14:12Speaker 1: everything has been says you have to stop saying thoughts
- 14:16Speaker 1: and prayers. Yeah, and then still nothing changes, nothing changes. Yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 1: but we're gonna still We're gonna still pray. We're gonna
- 14:24Speaker 1: still pray because prayer does change things everything. Yeah, it does.
- 14:27Speaker 1: All right, we'll come back and talk more about Father's
- 14:29Speaker 1: Day weekend. We'll also hear a recap about the mentoring
- 14:34Speaker 1: weekend down there in Georgia with today. But he's here though,
- 14:42Speaker 1: But he's here, all right. We'll have more of it
- 14:45Speaker 1: coming up at thirty two after the hour you're listening
- 14:48Speaker 1: to the Steven Show. Alright, guys, Uh, so, as we mentioned,
- 14:54Speaker 1: Steve Harvey is out today. Nephew Tommy is out today,
- 14:57Speaker 1: Carla is out today. Carla Tommy on vacation. See of course,
- 15:00Speaker 1: is down in the Rock Georgia mentoring boys. He does
- 15:04Speaker 1: his every Father's Day weekend. He goes all in everything.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I mean he goes in. He's a different person. I
- 15:10Speaker 1: don't even recognize if are you ain't? No, yeah, got
- 15:15Speaker 1: his coons had on like we said, it's for a
- 15:24Speaker 1: good cause. He's done in mentrance. I just wish he
- 15:26Speaker 1: was up the age on the mentoring like okay after
- 15:30Speaker 1: some point. No no, no, no no, like my son,
- 15:33Speaker 1: he's brought to seven. Cant can I get him dying there?
- 15:36Speaker 1: You know? I like that, look you look just a
- 15:43Speaker 1: touch up. He doesn't need to touch up of mentor.
- 15:45Speaker 1: And that's sorry. I regret to inform you that the
- 15:47Speaker 1: cut off age is what well, I need to talk
- 15:49Speaker 1: to Steve about that when he when he gets back.
- 15:52Speaker 1: And more more importantly, I have all if we get
- 15:55Speaker 1: to five, can we get mint at fit to five?
- 15:59Speaker 1: But told him about you know, responsibility working, you know
- 16:05Speaker 1: things like that kipping in and with somebody. You know
- 16:09Speaker 1: what I'm saying, how you should active? You living rent free?
- 16:14Speaker 1: Why this cigarette but calling and I don't smoke. It's
- 16:19Speaker 1: a lot of grown man mentoring need. I got it.
- 16:24Speaker 1: We we said it for some people. We know us.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Sadly I have to agree with you, sadly do But
- 16:32Speaker 1: that's why Steve's getting him young. Hadn't happened. Yeah, so
- 16:37Speaker 1: this one is the young program that he has said
- 16:40Speaker 1: as side is great. It's great. He's been noticed for
- 16:43Speaker 1: ten years, fifteen years. He's been doing it a long
- 16:45Speaker 1: like since I've known him. And some of these kids
- 16:48Speaker 1: have gone on to go to college. Degreed, but he's
- 16:51Speaker 1: leaving an untouched market. I will pay for your own. Man,
- 17:00Speaker 1: are in bathing? Can we get bathing? I come up
- 17:03Speaker 1: with my grandmother. You've got the same clothes. Old. I'm
- 17:07Speaker 1: talking about cologning one on one. We won't speaking of
- 17:13Speaker 1: cologning one on one. Please leave something in the bottle.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Some men need to know this, some right right there,
- 17:23Speaker 1: untouched market. I'm like, this is not your house. That's
- 17:26Speaker 1: what they need to know this. Okay, I do have one.
- 17:29Speaker 1: If we do have it, leave the toilet seat down. Okay,
- 17:36Speaker 1: I'm in right one, queen is there? So in other words,
- 17:42Speaker 1: he's gonna have to be gone for two weeks after years.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Don't get the younger first, and he's gonna come and
- 17:49Speaker 1: get the older. Does what they need? Help guys that
- 17:52Speaker 1: are setting their ways. Somebody listen to us right now,
- 17:57Speaker 1: right towards that's agreeing with everything. Yeah, that's right. Happy
- 18:03Speaker 1: Father's Day was yesterday. Fathers guys, happy to be. So
- 18:08Speaker 1: what did you do over the weekend? You you said
- 18:10Speaker 1: you moved earlier. I moved, you know, I moved out
- 18:12Speaker 1: of my place. Start starting over. I can't stand movie.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I'm first of all, I'm not good at movie. I'm not.
- 18:22Speaker 1: My problem is all the ferns I had still up there.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I ain't grab nothing. I just got my bed. Let's
- 18:29Speaker 1: get my bed out of here. Got my bed what
- 18:30Speaker 1: you called mover, so you know I had. They were
- 18:33Speaker 1: through in thirty minutes. Oh the only guy was the bed.
- 18:36Speaker 1: They ain't getting nothing else. They ain't grab no washing drive.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I don't even I just ain't gonna washing the movie
- 18:43Speaker 1: company with this. It was just some guy's monica found
- 18:50Speaker 1: I bet all her stuff is everything set up? What happened?
- 18:55Speaker 1: They really ran out of time on me because it
- 18:57Speaker 1: was three hours. So I ain't got my bed that
- 19:00Speaker 1: I have to go back into this week and get
- 19:02Speaker 1: the other stuff. So you're sleeping in your newer party,
- 19:04Speaker 1: but all stuff. If I want to watch TV, I
- 19:07Speaker 1: gotta go upstair. I ain't got no TV I want.
- 19:13Speaker 1: If I want to warm the other I got to
- 19:16Speaker 1: go up stay. This is gonna make no sense. I
- 19:19Speaker 1: gotta pay rint twice. Your life is all messed up
- 19:23Speaker 1: about moving? Is that when you sat the movie, you said, well,
- 19:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna throw stuff away. But once you find stuff
- 19:28Speaker 1: that you haven't seen in a long time, you don't
- 19:31Speaker 1: want to throw it away. If I haven't no, no, no.
- 19:34Speaker 1: My rule is, and everyone hates movie. My rule is,
- 19:38Speaker 1: if I haven't seen you in a long time, you're
- 19:40Speaker 1: out of here. I saw some eight track tapes I got.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I gotta have them. You got all? I got them all.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I can't get fit of them. Do you need to
- 19:49Speaker 1: be on that show Harder? Do you need to be
- 19:52Speaker 1: on that ship? You know you need to be at
- 19:54Speaker 1: the mentoring? Do you see what our harder? Do you
- 19:58Speaker 1: know what I saw, James? I had to keep keeping.
- 20:01Speaker 1: I saw Steve Harvest had twenty buttons on it. I'm
- 20:05Speaker 1: keeping that ship. That must be a short Do the
- 20:08Speaker 1: longer jackets have more. But that was during his button period.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Speaking of the Steve Harvest, we are not going to
- 20:20Speaker 1: call the name, but we had some visitors one day
- 20:24Speaker 1: that had on the original Steve Harvey wide, the pel wide.
- 20:29Speaker 1: We're not gonna call the name, but you know what,
- 20:31Speaker 1: when you saw it, you want he went through a
- 20:35Speaker 1: button face. He went to a through up the button phase,
- 20:41Speaker 1: a pen stripe fabric face, the big where you just
- 20:49Speaker 1: see the tip of your shoe that you don't even
- 20:51Speaker 1: know what it looks like. Yeah, it looks like you
- 20:55Speaker 1: have on two skirts on each leg. I but it's
- 21:01Speaker 1: so funny. Those people will come to the show and
- 21:03Speaker 1: they're standing up in the stance to see Steve, and
- 21:06Speaker 1: it goes, Steve, what those are? Classics? Though? Don't throw
- 21:15Speaker 1: those away. I don't know if they're coming back, but
- 21:17Speaker 1: just keep them all right, well, just keep them all right. Listen.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Coming up next hour, about twenty minutes after the hour,
- 21:24Speaker 1: we're gonna have a special guest, the very sexy, the
- 21:26Speaker 1: very talented Omari Harley. Do you get I don't get
- 21:33Speaker 1: nothing nothing? Will you ask the wrong person? Ask Monica?
- 21:37Speaker 1: All right? Every day actor Omari Hardwick will tell us
- 21:41Speaker 1: about the new season of Power. Can't wait for that
- 21:43Speaker 1: and other projects he's working on. But right now, uh,
- 21:47Speaker 1: we'll talk more. We'll be back, we'll talk more about
- 21:49Speaker 1: the mentoring Camp. It's the three of us, the three

- 22:12Speaker 1: tell us about the new season of Power and other
- 22:14Speaker 1: projects that he's working on. But right now, we do
- 22:17Speaker 1: want to hear from Steve at the mentoring camp. He's
- 22:19Speaker 1: off today, but he is there. I think this is
- 22:22Speaker 1: Steve taking a break. Take a listen. We're out here
- 22:25Speaker 1: at the Rock Ranch. This is a waterfall, very tranquil
- 22:29Speaker 1: spot back hill. Just taking a break from the camp.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Give my mind a break, working with the boys. It's peaceful,
- 22:37Speaker 1: black kills nature. This is what I women like, country boys.
- 22:41Speaker 1: So this is all right with me. God demands some
- 22:44Speaker 1: incredible stuff in his world for you to see. I
- 22:47Speaker 1: like sitting in it. It's real nice back here with
- 22:49Speaker 1: y'all was here, But that's my break is over. I'm
- 22:53Speaker 1: gonna go back on people with these boys. Steve Harbably
- 22:56Speaker 1: littering camp to change the boys lives. Appreciate all the
- 22:59Speaker 1: men that came down here on Fathers Day. We cared
- 23:02Speaker 1: to help us out. They didn't have to do it
- 23:03Speaker 1: because they fathered us too. If y'all come out and
- 23:06Speaker 1: help us next year and let us know we need live,
- 23:08Speaker 1: thank you. That was great. It was good. That was
- 23:10Speaker 1: so peaceful, very peaceful. And that's what he needs. He
- 23:14Speaker 1: loves that. He loves it. Man that if we can
- 23:18Speaker 1: bring the woods with him that and that's what we
- 23:22Speaker 1: under set is half woods. He can just go take
- 23:26Speaker 1: a hollow woods up the pace, put a lake back
- 23:32Speaker 1: there someway. All right, yeah, and that waterfall about sounds
- 23:36Speaker 1: really good. Will hear more from Stephen. They're doing a
- 23:39Speaker 1: good job he is this morning. But right now it
- 23:42Speaker 1: is time for church complaints. That complains. Complain today. Yesterday
- 23:50Speaker 1: was Father's dad. Okay, well I don't complain, all right. You.
- 23:54Speaker 1: The voice you hear is of Reverend Reverend Richard, the
- 23:58Speaker 1: third three of you. It was two more before me, okay,
- 24:03Speaker 1: and then Deacon Jr. Is in the building morning everybody, everybody.
- 24:07Speaker 1: He's the same. It's away ever he goes. That's what
- 24:11Speaker 1: I like about it. If he doesn't change. I did
- 24:12Speaker 1: never change. And Deacon Juja, Amen, could you try to
- 24:18Speaker 1: music up? Just allowed? I can't hear it too hard.
- 24:23Speaker 1: It could be that could be it? Is it all right?
- 24:26Speaker 1: He's on today? Church? It up? Not not not that?
- 24:31Speaker 1: Not that? What your breathing. I'm confused, both allowed? Not
- 24:38Speaker 1: about you, Mr Oregon Player, It's not about Mr Rose
- 24:43Speaker 1: has done about you today? Up? Did you did you
- 24:48Speaker 1: clear your sciences? Oh? This is clear. This is just
- 24:51Speaker 1: clears and go get some So I've tried it all,
- 24:56Speaker 1: tried it on Steve cleaning. I've done it all. One
- 25:00Speaker 1: of those. I've had all that. I had the crew
- 25:04Speaker 1: go up in there. I've had a hazmat crew go
- 25:09Speaker 1: up in there to scrape out what they could get
- 25:12Speaker 1: hiding the sweepers. I've tried it all. Yes, it is
- 25:16Speaker 1: definitely blocked up. What it is, good morning matter. It
- 25:23Speaker 1: is not nice to start a morning. What I'm saying,
- 25:26Speaker 1: good morning everybody, morning to send here to beam as
- 25:35Speaker 1: followed the women who look like Johnny Mathews, who meeting

- 26:03Speaker 1: It's nothing, all right, all right, there's still plenty of
- 26:08Speaker 1: room for the meeting right after service of the men
- 26:10Speaker 1: who still have wide parts in their heads. Men who
- 26:14Speaker 1: still have wide parts in their heads. Coming back now,
- 26:19Speaker 1: and we have a guest speaker. He will be speaking.

- 27:03Speaker 1: Plenty of tickets for there might be a man might
- 27:05Speaker 1: be a woman convention. Many of tickets for there might
- 27:10Speaker 1: be a man might be a woman convention. We have
- 27:16Speaker 1: no idea, but you want to come and join us,
- 27:19Speaker 1: we'll be there. God loves us. Man, Sister Shirley, I
- 27:26Speaker 1: see how you getting into the sign like that? Because
- 27:32Speaker 1: they could not see the signs. Because they could not
- 27:35Speaker 1: see the sign the women would way too much weed.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Walked past the meeting room. What room was it in?
- 27:45Speaker 1: What room was it in? Room four? Four? Right? Where
- 27:52Speaker 1: is that room? That way? We have a passing that
- 27:57Speaker 1: we must announce passing. Yea passed. He has passed away
- 28:01Speaker 1: past Johnny McArthur past. He passed and he didn't die anything.
- 28:08Speaker 1: He just he was in sixth grade for a long
- 28:10Speaker 1: time and he finally passed. He hasn't gone on. He
- 28:16Speaker 1: ain't going on the gloor. The boy had been in
- 28:19Speaker 1: the sixth grade for quite some time. Congratulations the Lord. Yeah,
- 28:25Speaker 1: that's big. But you know what, by the third time,
- 28:29Speaker 1: he knew all the lessons. Imagine that nineteen. Because we
- 28:37Speaker 1: have some problems last weekend, last Sunday, Pastor would like
- 28:42Speaker 1: to apologize for the turnout. Side Piece Sunday did not

- 29:15Speaker 1: is the thoughts and prayers or present thoughts. It's always
- 29:19Speaker 1: thoughts and prayers. All thoughts and prayers go out to
- 29:22Speaker 1: Ms Kisha Washington. He had to learn the hard way
- 29:28Speaker 1: that Becket Johnson, I one white number, don't back down.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Whoa that, whoa, whoa, whoa it out she wore that. Yeah.

- 31:02Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy is on vacation and Carla is on vacation.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Well as one question, when do I get a vacation?
- 31:12Speaker 1: You don't give everyone and it's six of us now, Jay,
- 31:16Speaker 1: all of us have to go on vacation. Then, because
- 31:18Speaker 1: you're the newest member, then you go on vacation Whatevermber, Yeah,
- 31:23Speaker 1: whatever's left. Then you get that, you're going You're going

- 31:36Speaker 1: on the show. I don't need to go to the dance,
- 31:40Speaker 1: all right? Coming up in twenty minutes, our special guests
- 31:42Speaker 1: will be Amari Hardwick ak a Ghost, Jamie st Patrick
- 31:47Speaker 1: from Power. He's gonna be our special guests. He's gonna
- 31:50Speaker 1: tell us about the upcoming season of Power. We cannot
- 31:54Speaker 1: He's working on a lot of other projects as well.
- 31:56Speaker 1: He'll talk about that. But right now it is time
- 31:58Speaker 1: for entertainment news. Uh. In case you haven't heard, and
- 32:02Speaker 1: if you've been living under a rock, you would not
- 32:04Speaker 1: know that. Jay Z and Beyonce dropped an album over
- 32:07Speaker 1: the weekend. It's know something was up. Yeah, everything is
- 32:11Speaker 1: love the way they were and kissing and sexy, sexy
- 32:18Speaker 1: poses and all that. It's on it's on a title
- 32:22Speaker 1: the streaming service. Okay, but some people are saying that
- 32:26Speaker 1: they do this on purpose to knock off NAS because
- 32:29Speaker 1: because album and him and NAS had is the beef.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Did they have beef or something like that? Well, jay
- 32:36Speaker 1: Z and NAS back in the day, Yeah, more so
- 32:42Speaker 1: Kanye produced the album Kanye did. Yeah, so this might
- 32:46Speaker 1: be a smack in evage with Kanye. Remember he's working
- 32:49Speaker 1: on all those projects Kanye, so NAS was one of them.
- 32:52Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, though, what I'm about to get
- 32:54Speaker 1: this Knas album right now, I don't know if I'll
- 33:01Speaker 1: be getting to Jay Z and Beyonce c Wells everywhere.
- 33:05Speaker 1: And it's not gonna be hurt by me not buying
- 33:07Speaker 1: it at all. It's exclusively untitled, so they'll they'll be fine,
- 33:10Speaker 1: They'll be okay. We won't even to listen to them.
- 33:16Speaker 1: They won't even I don't think they're sending in the
- 33:20Speaker 1: house going I wonder if Jay's gonna like this. But
- 33:26Speaker 1: it was kind of like June was the month month
- 33:28Speaker 1: of Kanyee. Kanye had a good month. It almost made
- 33:32Speaker 1: them forget you know, what he said about slavery and
- 33:34Speaker 1: everything a little bit. I didn't know that they had
- 33:37Speaker 1: started calling it. Oh my goodness. I just think they's
- 33:41Speaker 1: an artist that's so very, very very misunderstood. Oh Man
- 33:48Speaker 1: and other news you think they call him that? In
- 33:50Speaker 1: the house, it's Kanye. We love you, Kanye Kanye. Alright,
- 33:56Speaker 1: I picked our fans waited fourteen years, fourteen years for
- 34:00Speaker 1: the Incredible sequel. Finally it is Incredible two, which stars,
- 34:06Speaker 1: of course, among others, Samuel L. Jackson is number one
- 34:10Speaker 1: at the box office, Number one. All right. It's a
- 34:13Speaker 1: great movie to take the kids because a lot of
- 34:15Speaker 1: the jokes in there are for kids, but they sneak
- 34:18Speaker 1: in some grown up But this is the only move
- 34:22Speaker 1: I heard about that grown people were going with. Yes,
- 34:25Speaker 1: because people want to see you. But you got Samuel Jackson,
- 34:28Speaker 1: you know, so congratulations to them, and we ought to
- 34:32Speaker 1: say congratulations one more time to Trevor Jackson. Trevor Jackson
- 34:36Speaker 1: is his name, the star of super Fly. Super This
- 34:40Speaker 1: weekend was a great movie weekend. They're going to remake
- 34:42Speaker 1: The Mac too. What yeah, they're remaking the Mac. Wait
- 34:46Speaker 1: a minute, but phase on love not as the Mac. Okay, listen,
- 34:52Speaker 1: we gotta called the big Man. Sanna is here. Please
- 34:57Speaker 1: introduce her. She's going to do another June Music Month spotlight.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Go ahead, thank you, Ready for the one and only
- 35:04Speaker 1: and with the news, y'all, thank you very much. Okay,
- 35:08Speaker 1: this is a trip with the news. Seven Democratic lawmakers
- 35:11Speaker 1: use Father's Day yesterday to protest the Trump administration's policy
- 35:14Speaker 1: that separates illegal immigrant parents from their children at the
- 35:17Speaker 1: southern border. Legislators from New York and New Jersey spend
- 35:20Speaker 1: a day and Immigration and Customs Enforcement of facility in
- 35:24Speaker 1: the Garden State, New Jersey, visiting detainees who have been
- 35:27Speaker 1: separated from their families. The lawmakers tweeted photos of the
- 35:29Speaker 1: crowded site using the hashtag Father's Day and Families Belong Together.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Close to two thousand children have been separated from their
- 35:36Speaker 1: parents so far at the US Mexico border. Meanwhile, the
- 35:40Speaker 1: House of Representatives is scheduled to vote today, well this
- 35:43Speaker 1: week anyway, on proposed immigration legislation. There are two GOP
- 35:47Speaker 1: sponsored bills under consideration. One is considered a hardline measure,
- 35:52Speaker 1: which would sharply cut legal immigration and grant only temporary
- 35:55Speaker 1: states to the Dreamers, or people brought here illegally as children.
- 35:59Speaker 1: The other bill, also sponsored by Republicans, is supposed to
- 36:01Speaker 1: be a compromise. That measure would give the dream of
- 36:04Speaker 1: greater legal protections offer a slow route to a more
- 36:07Speaker 1: permanent legal status, but it would also slash legal immigration
- 36:11Speaker 1: numbers and contain billions to fund Trump's a border wall.
- 36:14Speaker 1: We'll see which one gets the votes. Cops in South
- 36:17Speaker 1: Texas say at least five people dead several others have
- 36:19Speaker 1: been injured after the suv they were riding and crashed.
- 36:22Speaker 1: Authority state the vehicle was traveling more than a hundred
- 36:24Speaker 1: miles an hour fleeing border control agents. There were fourteen
- 36:28Speaker 1: people crammed in the vehicle, some were thrown out of
- 36:30Speaker 1: it when the crash. The driver has been arrested. And
- 36:34Speaker 1: just the latest and what's turned out to be a
- 36:36Speaker 1: string of opioid related lawsuitsport by state and local officials.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Kentucky's attorney general is suing Walgreens, saying that the company
- 36:43Speaker 1: helped fuel that state's drug addiction epidemic. The suit accuses
- 36:47Speaker 1: the pharmacy's executives and its employees of failing to report
- 36:51Speaker 1: suspiciously large orders of prescription opioids. Kentucky's opioid death rate,
- 36:55Speaker 1: by the way, is almost double the national average. Jersey
- 37:00Speaker 1: Governor Film Murphy calling on legislators to pastrick of gun
- 37:03Speaker 1: laws in the wake of Sunday shooting an all night
- 37:05Speaker 1: arts festival in Trenton. We can continue to aggressively tighten
- 37:09Speaker 1: up the loopholes in our gun and our gun safety laws.
- 37:12Speaker 1: And we have, we have, We've done, We've begun to
- 37:14Speaker 1: do that meaningfully, both in in the state of New
- 37:17Speaker 1: Jersey as well as with other states. Congress has to act.
- 37:21Speaker 1: One suspect was killed, twenty two others were injured, four
- 37:24Speaker 1: critically Tops of the box. Also over the weekend, Yes,
- 37:26Speaker 1: you heard Shirley talk about it, it was The Incredibles.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Two superheroes are illegally designs. Who I am. We're not
- 37:35Speaker 1: saying you have what? Uh. Incredibles too brought in a
- 37:41Speaker 1: whopping one eighty million dollars, making it not only the
- 37:44Speaker 1: best animated film opening of all time, but the best
- 37:46Speaker 1: p G rated movie launch and the eighth highest film
- 37:49Speaker 1: opening overall. That's right entertainment and today's trending topics coming
- 37:53Speaker 1: up with the Steve Harvey Morning Show as well. You're
- 37:56Speaker 1: listening to Harvey Morning Show. Our all, I told you
- 38:00Speaker 1: we had a special guest. He's here today. Our special
- 38:03Speaker 1: guest stars as James ghost st Patrick on the big
- 38:08Speaker 1: stars hit Power Powers coming back with season five on
- 38:14Speaker 1: second Man July first. But we're here to talk about
- 38:20Speaker 1: the new season was another great project he's working on. Also,
- 38:23Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. The women told me I had to
- 38:26Speaker 1: say this, the super damn sex. Oh, Marie Hardwick, that
- 38:33Speaker 1: is awesome, elevant introduction. I gotta live up to that.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Ye see, I gotta like I gotta be in the
- 38:39Speaker 1: gym for the next forty five years with that one.
- 38:42Speaker 1: I haven't been in the gym. I skilled on hand.
- 38:46Speaker 1: He's everybody doing. Are we good? Man? You've been all right? Man?
- 38:51Speaker 1: You're working, man, I've been working, Steve, you know, you know,
- 38:53Speaker 1: as Capricorn's brother, you're a cappy. You know how that goes. Boy,
- 38:56Speaker 1: We're coming there and go to work, man. You get
- 39:00Speaker 1: and man. This show Power is a drama about the
- 39:03Speaker 1: glamorous lifestyles of the rich and infamous and the underworld
- 39:07Speaker 1: of international drug trade. Season five kicks off Sunday, July one.
- 39:12Speaker 1: On our Stars, what can we expect them are? Well,
- 39:15Speaker 1: definitely Ghost not being uh not, Ghost is not nice
- 39:20Speaker 1: this year, right, I mean right when the daughter, when
- 39:25Speaker 1: the daughter is taken from a man way that she
- 39:28Speaker 1: was taken, and I gotta find you know who done it? Right,
- 39:31Speaker 1: I gotta figure out who's done it. I'm coming out
- 39:33Speaker 1: of jail. And of course that triangle of relationship between
- 39:37Speaker 1: myself and or Ghost and the Tories, Tasha and Leila's
- 39:41Speaker 1: um Angela, that that becomes not centerpiece this year, sort
- 39:45Speaker 1: of put to the back drop because everybody is just
- 39:47Speaker 1: trying to focus on, you know, figuring out who killed
- 39:51Speaker 1: Raina and how I went down and how we let
- 39:53Speaker 1: how we let it happen, you know, and of course Ghost,
- 39:55Speaker 1: you know how to go, Steve. If if you're a
- 39:57Speaker 1: man and you're at a place of of dirt, which
- 40:00Speaker 1: he still is at, he's not being honest with his
- 40:03Speaker 1: own son. And everybody wants me to put a foot
- 40:04Speaker 1: into Reek's ass, But in reality, Ghost hasn't necessarily been
- 40:07Speaker 1: honest with his son, so how can they expect his
- 40:09Speaker 1: son to being different? But you know, you could definitely
- 40:12Speaker 1: expect him not to be as cool a cucumber as
- 40:14Speaker 1: he's been the prior seasons. This dude is unraveling this year,
- 40:17Speaker 1: and so it was fun to play, you know, as
- 40:19Speaker 1: an actor, because you're really havn't I mean, god, this
- 40:22Speaker 1: guy is the most I think he's poundful pound the
- 40:25Speaker 1: most complicated character on TV in the last twenty years.
- 40:29Speaker 1: And that's no slide again too, obviously, you know, rest
- 40:32Speaker 1: in Peace, Jimmy Gandolfoeni's uh tony soprano or Walter White
- 40:36Speaker 1: play You're brilliantly by Brian Cranston. But in terms of
- 40:39Speaker 1: what Courtney and the writer's room, Courtney Kemp are creator
- 40:42Speaker 1: and with Curtis envisioned in his brain, in terms of
- 40:45Speaker 1: what they've given me and given Joseph and giving Leland,
- 40:48Speaker 1: given the Tory Wee can week out, but particularly Ghost
- 40:51Speaker 1: and being what James Jamie Ghost and then five other characters.
- 40:55Speaker 1: If you think about it, all right, please hold Donald
- 40:58Speaker 1: Marie uh and don't move. We definitely want to hear
- 41:01Speaker 1: more from you. Okay, Part two coming up. You're listening
- 41:05Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on,
- 41:09Speaker 1: let's waste no time. Let's get back to the interview
- 41:11Speaker 1: with Omari Hardwick from Power Find This Aside. This man
- 41:16Speaker 1: what has true talent, has true talent. He can act.
- 41:22Speaker 1: It's been a lot for me to take on. I've
- 41:23Speaker 1: just been so humbled and so honored that I've been
- 41:26Speaker 1: received not just by my people in the way that
- 41:28Speaker 1: you guys received me, but also by people uh far
- 41:32Speaker 1: and wide, a hundred and seventy six countries all decided
- 41:35Speaker 1: that this show is worth watching and consistently and I'm
- 41:38Speaker 1: so freaking humble man to be sort of the face
- 41:41Speaker 1: obviously of of of the show, but even of the
- 41:43Speaker 1: network if you think about it. And Steve, I think
- 41:47Speaker 1: that's important that he said that, because I don't think
- 41:50Speaker 1: enough has been enough attention has been given to Amari's
- 41:54Speaker 1: acting skills. This brother has skills, Steve, when I tell
- 41:58Speaker 1: you he's so believable, for yes, yes he is. Because
- 42:02Speaker 1: he has the women, he has the men loving him.
- 42:06Speaker 1: You know, couples watch him this show together. You bring
- 42:09Speaker 1: families together with this show. This show is unbelievable and
- 42:13Speaker 1: it's a testament to your skills, and I appreciate it.
- 42:16Speaker 1: I think I think the Courtney and curtis a long
- 42:18Speaker 1: time ago there and maybe a lot of people. You know,
- 42:21Speaker 1: I've met Steve years years ago. He and I have
- 42:23Speaker 1: a mutual friend, and uh, you know, a long time ago,
- 42:27Speaker 1: I felt like a lot of people were going, when
- 42:30Speaker 1: is this guy gonna pop? Because you'd see me play
- 42:32Speaker 1: around this shaboo the next day, are you see me?
- 42:34Speaker 1: I was sort of playing the back and it was
- 42:36Speaker 1: a personality tree. It was like a I knew my ability,
- 42:39Speaker 1: I knew what God had always put in me, but
- 42:41Speaker 1: I think I was really afraid to grab the power
- 42:43Speaker 1: pun intended by the by the horns and and kind
- 42:46Speaker 1: of really be what God made him worry to be,
- 42:48Speaker 1: which is dominant in the business in him many ways.
- 42:50Speaker 1: And so once I did that, I did feel the
- 42:53Speaker 1: power that you know, my my wife asked me to
- 42:56Speaker 1: embrace at one point, JAS did embrace your power and
- 42:58Speaker 1: to me over the entirety and the dream when I
- 43:00Speaker 1: started thinking is as an activist by nature, even if
- 43:03Speaker 1: I'm Hella flawed, I'm very much an activist and care
- 43:06Speaker 1: about us moving forward, even if I got to play
- 43:08Speaker 1: a dirty quote unquote dirty character. If I can bring
- 43:11Speaker 1: families together, and people were about to be divorced and
- 43:13Speaker 1: they figured it out by watching the show. And and
- 43:16Speaker 1: I told Courtney when she created this incredible template, I said, Yo,
- 43:19Speaker 1: make him doting, make him a loving father, even if
- 43:22Speaker 1: he's killing somebody at night. You know. So the activist
- 43:25Speaker 1: thing in me is, of course, you know why I'm
- 43:27Speaker 1: involved with so many programs. Obviously, you know about Gentleman
- 43:30Speaker 1: Jack in the Real Real Program. I just left Chicago
- 43:33Speaker 1: promoting that and trying to get Brown filmmakers to have
- 43:36Speaker 1: an opportunity for their dreams to be actualized because I
- 43:39Speaker 1: kind of sucked at, you know, embracing the all that
- 43:42Speaker 1: I could be. And so now that I'm embracing and
- 43:44Speaker 1: I'm like, well, you know, more importantly, I need to
- 43:46Speaker 1: help these young people be what they need to be.
- 43:48Speaker 1: But I'm so honored that people have learned Omari through ghosts.
- 43:52Speaker 1: A lot of people met ghosts and then they walked
- 43:54Speaker 1: away buddies, buddies or friends or lovers of Omar. And
- 43:57Speaker 1: I'm cool with that. You have that Vivis on Washington Appeal,
- 44:01Speaker 1: and I mean it's in a very complimentary way because
- 44:04Speaker 1: you chapter to life to life, man, I mean where
- 44:09Speaker 1: it's very very believable, you know. I mean, look there
- 44:12Speaker 1: Zell didn't get an oscar until he was in training.
- 44:15Speaker 1: But before that, you're right, dog dog, he should have
- 44:23Speaker 1: been got one, but they got it for that. That's
- 44:25Speaker 1: the vein. I see you in man, it's really good.
- 44:27Speaker 1: And then this this this work that he's doing everybody, uh,
- 44:30Speaker 1: for his folks person for gentlemen, Jack real to real
- 44:35Speaker 1: what it is. It's a national short film contest and
- 44:38Speaker 1: a local film screening tool that supports emerging black filmmakers
- 44:43Speaker 1: across the country. It's that's what you're doing. And I
- 44:47Speaker 1: say this all the time. You know, kids at the
- 44:49Speaker 1: airport they were a superman or a wonder woman. Kate
- 44:53Speaker 1: till they're fifteen years old, was zero apology. And by
- 44:56Speaker 1: the time we five years old, Grandma, big Mama's auntie
- 44:59Speaker 1: or your they're telling you know, you can't be wearing that.
- 45:02Speaker 1: That's not a reality for us to think that we
- 45:04Speaker 1: could be superheroic in whatever respective lane or industry we're in.
- 45:07Speaker 1: So for me and you, we got a big gas microphone,
- 45:10Speaker 1: and I just think it's it's used for nought. If
- 45:12Speaker 1: you don't use the microphone in the stage that has
- 45:15Speaker 1: people looking at you, just stupid. To me, I'm with you. Boba. No, man,
- 45:19Speaker 1: that's that's a powerful statement. Man, your speech, man, the
- 45:22Speaker 1: way you move right now is very enlightening and empowering
- 45:26Speaker 1: to a lot of people. And congratulations, y'all. Power. Fifth
- 45:30Speaker 1: season starts July one on saus Thank you, than man,
- 45:35Speaker 1: boy man hands together one and only. Amari Hardward. You're
- 45:44Speaker 1: gonna get that. You're gonna get that in me. Thank you.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Anybody appreciate your board. My boy Later, we love him,
- 45:53Speaker 1: We really. We'll do a prying phone call from the
- 45:58Speaker 1: nephew right after you're listening to the Steve Morning Show,
- 46:04Speaker 1: all right, coming up at the top of the hour, guys,
- 46:06Speaker 1: about four minutes after. It's today's Strawberry letter. Oh this
- 46:09Speaker 1: is a crazy when I tell you this letter right here,
- 46:14Speaker 1: you do not want to miss this letter. And we've
- 46:16Speaker 1: said that before, but we mean it. Ready here say
- 46:22Speaker 1: it subject. I can't believe I did that to him.
- 46:29Speaker 1: But right now, Junior, come on, introduced the nephew with
- 46:33Speaker 1: today's frank phone call. When Star where where? When Star
- 46:42Speaker 1: do a great time? I like to hunt when star

- 46:51Speaker 1: have jen a cat Low. I'm trying to reach calmen please?

- 47:06Speaker 1: Oh great, great, Hey, we were waiting for you. Hold
- 47:08Speaker 1: on a second, I'll get her. Hello. Hi is this Carmen? Hi?
- 47:12Speaker 1: How are you good? Great? Listen? Um? This is a
- 47:15Speaker 1: hal style that I'm supposed to be there to do
- 47:17Speaker 1: your hair for the wedding. Hey are you lost? Uh? No,
- 47:20Speaker 1: I do have a good just there's something that has
- 47:23Speaker 1: come up and I kind of need to discuss some
- 47:24Speaker 1: things with you. Are you kidding me? Let me ask
- 47:28Speaker 1: you you wait? You know I'm getting married in four hours, right,
- 47:31Speaker 1: I do know, I do know. Let me ask you this.
- 47:33Speaker 1: What time actually is the wedding? Is it at five
- 47:35Speaker 1: or six? The wedding is at five? Okay? Um? What
- 47:40Speaker 1: have you done to your hair so far? Nothing? You
- 47:43Speaker 1: have the hair. I'm waiting for you to put weave

- 48:01Speaker 1: a deposit you. You should be on your way. I
- 48:03Speaker 1: do understand that though, and I don't mind giving you
- 48:05Speaker 1: your deposit back. That's no, that's not what I want.
- 48:09Speaker 1: I need you here to do my hair. I have
- 48:11Speaker 1: no one here to do my hair. I've already paid you.
- 48:14Speaker 1: I understand this, dear. Calm down, Listen, this is what
- 48:17Speaker 1: I want to do. Okay. I do have someone that

- 48:50Speaker 1: him all night. I'm not going to go back and
- 48:51Speaker 1: forth and argue with you as well. Yeah, I have
- 48:53Speaker 1: to argue with me when I need it for you
- 48:54Speaker 1: to be here. I understand that, and I'm going to
- 48:57Speaker 1: send someone there. And one of the most professional stylus
- 49:01Speaker 1: I have ever met in my life. I cannot even
- 49:03Speaker 1: believe you're doing this. Listen, I'm trying to deal with
- 49:06Speaker 1: you on a professional level, but you're not because you're

- 54:06Speaker 1: wait mate, I'm not oh too late. That's enough, thank
- 54:17Speaker 1: you JR. Al Right, um well. Paul Manafort, the president's
- 54:22Speaker 1: former campaign Yeah, he has a new temporary address. You're
- 54:27Speaker 1: absolutely right, ja prison. The federal judges ordered the former
- 54:31Speaker 1: Donald Trump's campaign manager jailed. He has been on house
- 54:34Speaker 1: arrest following his indictments related to Robert Mueller's related to
- 54:38Speaker 1: Robert Mueller's probe of Russian tampering back in the two
- 54:42Speaker 1: thousand and sixteen election, but a new evidence came to
- 54:45Speaker 1: light this month suggesting that Manafort attempted to coach witnesses
- 54:49Speaker 1: in his money money laundering case, so he was witnessed tampering. Wow,

- 56:45Speaker 1: I like that. Jay al right, subject, I can't believe
- 56:49Speaker 1: I did that to him. Dear Stephen Shirley, I am
- 56:53Speaker 1: a thirty year old woman and I've been divorced for
- 56:55Speaker 1: four years. I'm finally ready to start dating, so I
- 56:59Speaker 1: agreed to let my sister set me up on a
- 57:02Speaker 1: blind date with her husband's friend. I had never been
- 57:05Speaker 1: on a blind date before, and I was a little nervous.
- 57:09Speaker 1: When I got to the restaurant and met my date,
- 57:11Speaker 1: I was pleasantly surprised. This man is so perfect and
- 57:16Speaker 1: we have a lot in common. We ate and talked
- 57:19Speaker 1: and laughed for hours. After we ate, he asked if
- 57:23Speaker 1: I'd like to walk down by the lake behind the
- 57:25Speaker 1: restaurant so we could talk some more. Of course I did.
- 57:28Speaker 1: We were having such a great time getting to know
- 57:31Speaker 1: each other that we decided to sit down. He sat
- 57:34Speaker 1: down on the bench first and patted his sigh for
- 57:37Speaker 1: me to sit on his lap. This is going well.
- 57:40Speaker 1: We were sitting there and joking and I could not
- 57:44Speaker 1: stop laughing. You want a man that can make you laugh, right, Shirley.
- 57:48Speaker 1: I laughed so hard, Shirley, she says, I laughed so
- 57:54Speaker 1: hard you're ready that I passed gas. Yes, yes, while
- 58:05Speaker 1: I was sitting on his lap, and it was so loud.
- 58:11Speaker 1: It was so loud. Okay, it was so loud. I
- 58:19Speaker 1: immediately jumped up and apologized. But I was so nervous,
- 58:23Speaker 1: nervous that I did it again. I will never forget
- 58:29Speaker 1: the look on his face. He stood up and asked
- 58:33Speaker 1: me if I was okay, and if I needed to
- 58:36Speaker 1: go to the bathroom or if I should just go
- 58:38Speaker 1: on home. I thanked him for a great evening, and
- 58:43Speaker 1: I excused myself. I have never been more embarrassed in
- 58:47Speaker 1: my life. Later that night, he sent me a, Texas said,
- 58:51Speaker 1: L M A O are you okay? I did not
- 58:54Speaker 1: know what to text back to him. It's been three
- 58:57Speaker 1: days now and I still don't know how to answer.
- 59:00Speaker 1: This could have been the start of something great, but
- 59:03Speaker 1: I'm afraid it's over already. What do you think? Should
- 59:07Speaker 1: I text him back and see what's up? All right? Oh?
- 59:10Speaker 1: M G oh M G O MG. I cannot tell
- 59:13Speaker 1: you how much I feel for you. I know this
- 59:16Speaker 1: was the most embarrassing thing ever, because if it were me,
- 59:18Speaker 1: it would be the most embarrassing thing ever. This is embarrassing,
- 59:22Speaker 1: yes it is, But guess what else? This is life
- 59:26Speaker 1: and stuff happens. Okay, you guys that happens. Stuff happens.
- 59:35Speaker 1: I meant exactly that, JA don't take it anywhere else,
- 59:38Speaker 1: but stuff does happen. I mean, you guys ate too,
- 59:41Speaker 1: were excited. I don't know what to tell you. Maybe
- 59:43Speaker 1: you did need to go to the bathroom. I think
- 59:47Speaker 1: I think this is a really really really good and
- 59:50Speaker 1: very very mature man because guess what he asked you
- 59:54Speaker 1: all the things that he should ask you. Do you
- 59:57Speaker 1: need to go to the bathroom? Are you okay? He
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: even texted you afterwards to see if you were okay,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: and he said l m A, oh okay. I don't
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: know this man right here. Because of his maturity, I
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: think he's a keeper. I think most definitely you should
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: call him back, tell him be real, tell him be
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: a d You you did it, okay, sue me, I
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: did it. I'm sorry. If this is the end, I understand,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: but if it's not, I'd like another chance. I promise
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: I'll get this checked out and hopefully it won't happen.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Come on, man, what do you have to say? First
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: of all, comes when did y'all eat? Somebody was going
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: to say that we know what? Was this a soul
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: fool restaurant? Because no, I'm not a soul fool. People,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: get gas. I just wanted to And if you want
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: to talk about a sober and moden right up to
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: the laughing and choking, right when he heard the sound,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: everybody lives see it. That was nothing else to be heard.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: I cannot believe that this was happening. And you're right, Shirley,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: he is a good guy. He did text and asked
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: her if she was all right. He did after that's cool.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: But when he talked to his boys though, when he
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: had that phone call. Nerven Man, you ain't gonna believe
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: what just happened to me. I'm telling you though, I've
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: never had a woman sit on my lap. And first
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: of all, women don't even like the paths games in
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: front of me. I would, I would hold it so hard.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: I would excuse myself. But she it happened an accident
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: to her. It just that laughing. We left hard on
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: this show, we really do, and nobody has ever. Oh no, no,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: we left. We left way too much. We left really hard.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: But but to hear that sound but now, she said,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: it was loud. But here's some things that I want to,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: you know, go over this letter again and kind of
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: break it down. We were sitting there talking and laughing.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: I couldn't stop laughing. Surely was addressing you, And she said,
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: I laughed so hard that I passed gas. Now that's
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: just one time, she said. She she laughed continuously, and
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: she passed gas again while sitting on his lap. Now,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: this is what we need to talk about when we
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: come back, because the heat that came off of that
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: little things they can make it. I still I still
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: have hope for them. I still have hope for him. Really,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: so What was the line that really stuck out at you?
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: The line is stuck out on me that I passed
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: gas and I and then I we're laughing, So I
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: passed gas again, so twice on one that you can
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: excuse me, says one time. All right, guys, listen, we're
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: gonna have part two. Yeah, come back the Strawberry Letter. Yeah,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: it's called the subject is I can't believe I did
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: that to We can't believe it either, and we're coming
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: back to talk more about it at twenty three after
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: the hour. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: We're in the middle of the Strawberry Letter. The subject
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: is I can't believe I did that to him. We
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: have more to say on this letter. This young lady
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: wrote in she's thirty years old. She's been divorced for
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: four years. I just I just picked up on that, Yeah,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: maybe building up it up, and then I can I
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: just say I haven't had that song for years that
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I couldn't do. Thank you you got it. Thank you
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: to the lady and the letter. Thank you to the
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: lady in the letter. J all right, she's thirty, Like
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: like I was saying, she's thirty, she's been divorced for
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: four years. Finally ready to go out on a date. Finally,
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: you know, it took her four years, but so she
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: had her sister set her up with a guy. Uh.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: She's usually, you know, doesn't have much luck in this
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: sort of thing. But she found a great guy. This
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: was a blind date. The guy was pleasing to her eyes.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: They went out to dinner. He was perfect. They had
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: blind The date was blind. It was a blind date,
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: she said. They ate, they laughed, they talked for hours.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: Here's the problem. She was sitting on his lap. They
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: they laughed so hard she accidentally, Yeah, she had some
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: flasholence going on. Yeah, so she past gas. Uh, she
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: kept laughing. Did it again? Did it again? While she
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: was sitting on his lap, and she said it was
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: so loud. She immediately, what else would you do? Jump
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: up and apologize fan a little bit too, while you're
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: at you got a fan? She He stood up, and
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: she said she would never forget the look on his face.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: He stood up. Asked her if she was okay, that's
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: very important. Asked her if she needed to go to
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: the bathroom, also very important? Or did she just want
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: to go on home? Let me in case you might
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: want to laugh again. I thanked him, she said, for
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: a great evening. She excused herself. She's never been more
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: embarrassed in her life. Um. And later that night, the
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: same night, he texted her and asked her. The text said,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: L m a O are you okay? So he was
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: laughing his butt up? But is she okay? Um? And
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: she doesn't know how to text him back. She thinks
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: it's over. She doesn't think they have a future. She's afraid,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: she's asking she text him back and see what's up?
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: He texted her, L m a O are you okay?
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: And nothing takes back if m A I don't want
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: to laugh too hard. Jack. She hasn't texted him yet.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: You read the letter. She's scared. She doesn't know what
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: to do. I said, he sounds like a good man
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: because so many men would have walked away. They would have.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: But yeah, he texted her back the same night asked
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: her was she okay? When it happened? He asked her,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: was she okay? Did she need to go to the bathroom.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: I think this is a mature man. I think he's
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: a keeper. I think if they can get past this,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: they may have a future together. Let me just say
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: this for the record, just fulfillers that we don't tie.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: When you fart in front of me, your sex appeal
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: go way down. That you're not I get that. But
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: there's a thing called a mature man who understands the
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: body and bodily functions. Here's the question that nobody has
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: really hasked. What is that? What was joke that he
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: told that got up? We need to hear this joke
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: and we need to band this joke. This joke should
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: never be told me. Let's hit me hit the joke
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: and if I go, then I understand. This is a joke.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: People get bands. We need to find out what this
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: joke is and we need to ban it. It should
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: never be told again. And Junior said, what did they
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: Because any joke does that that will make you too, ta,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: I don't take that joke and go old stage is
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: telling every night I had a whole joint steak. I'm
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: I go to the Apollo Theater, coming to and then
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: I tell that joke. Oh my god, I'm killing man.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: I would I would tell that joke everywhere. I would
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: go to a funeral and I would stand up there
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: and say have y'all heard this? If I could get
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: the body, it's cold, you need to start squeezing. But
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: here we come. I don't know what did I don't
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: know what, but like you said, this could be a
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: good guy, could be Yeah, And it's been four years
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: since she's been out there dating and it's just the
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: first day. And it's like the song. It's definitely like
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: the song. It's build it up, build it up, build
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: it up, and then she fight two times. Nobody's asked
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: the question why did she get divorced? That asking questions,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: No woman, I can't do this no more. We are
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: it just staying up in here? Why why you know?
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: It could be it could be a good relationship. But
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: we don't know, you know what, We don't know what
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: happened as to why the first guy left, because this
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: guy could be getting a call from the other guy. Man,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: didn't you went out with man? Man? Let me tell
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: you no, I think I really think you should text
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: him back, tell him you were embarrassed, you know, and
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: all of that. I think he's a good guy. I'll
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: tell you this too. I'm gonna tell you how we
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: know it was strong. It wasn't just loud it was
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: strong because she said I would never forget to look
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: on his face. He sails debt and it happens. W
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: You know, it was loud when the guy in the
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: restaurant apologize. Alright, we gotta get out of here. Guys,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: thank you for your participation. And I think email us
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: her Instagram that's your thoughts on today's Strawberry letter at
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Steve Harvey f M. Having ten minutes, so have family feud.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: We'll be back right after this. You're listening to Steve
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: al right. We have to give some love and say
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: thank you to Steve because of what he does each
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: year down at the mentry. Yes, it's set up for
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: single moms with with boys. They dropped them off Steve
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: ments for the entire weekend and friends down, educators, entertainers,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: people who have made it successful, people to talk to
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: the boys, you know, to give them some hope and encouragement,
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: you know, and he does it every year. He's a father.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: He could be with his own children, but he takes
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: time to be with your children and help mentor them,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: which I think is is such a fantastic job. Here's
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Steve talking to the boys. Listen. First of all, I
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: understand something. The first thing we got to operate from
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: is from the staying part of respect. We're gonna respect y'all.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: Y'all got to respect it. He actually said that the
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: same and he says that every week and so he
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: can mentor. That was kind of scary. And this is
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: another clip from Steve down at the mentoring camp. That
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: was just great him talking to the young boys again.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: In the hood, we never say we are brothers, but
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: in real life we are. I'm my brothers. Absolutely ste
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: nailed it. Absolutely you are. And you know, we have
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: to give some love to the moms that these single,
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: hard working moms that make sure every year that their
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: sons go down there because they realize they need a
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: male influence in their life, they need mentoring. This is
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the time that is a good thing about This program
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: is set up for single moms who have men in
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: their family, young men who need to, you know, be
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: taught different ways and how to deal with how to
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: be a man. Because his mom's of sons, we can
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: only raise them so far. We cannot teach them how
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: to be men. I can teach my daughter how to
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: be a woman. You know, I could raise my son
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: if I had one the best way I could as
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: a woman, but I would have to bring in some
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: male influence. That's why this is such a good program
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: that Steven you know, he's been doing like I said
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: about probably my fifteen years, you know, and he goes
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: in his own pocket because his own time, he could
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: be you know, he could be home with his own family,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: rest and making some money and do whatever it is
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: he wants to do. And he decided to do this.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: We just wish that he would just up to age
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: a little bit. What is that about, guy, Well, we
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: have some people in our lives that when run age
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: with thirty five and up, thirty five and up and
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: be great. If we could get that program initiative the
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: same manter in profile. Don't change nothing that part about
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: respect that all that at five. Yes, up, you know
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: it's gonna be some great hands this minute and count
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: it's gonna be some great hand. It's gonna be something.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. But shouts out to
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: our boys, Stevens doing. You know the funny thing about
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: my brother's people, and Steve really held true to that.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Steve really did. Man, when I was going through my
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: thing with my friend passing, he called me every day, man,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: every day. And then he just told me one time
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: and one conversation. Yeah, he said, you matter to me, man,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I need you, you know. And that just shows the
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: kind of heart that he had, you know, to hear
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: him talk to the boys about being my brother keep heat.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: He doesn't just say he practiced that. Yeah he does.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I mean. And people only know what they see on
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: TV and what they hear on the radio. But we
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: actually know Steve and he does have a heart of gold.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: He really really does. And he cares about our youth,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: especially young men, bringing great young men, great leaders into
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: the world. He actually really cares. A man with the
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: heart of goal and the filthy amount that sometimes you
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: need right your boy across. That's when you know he
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: really cuts. He loves get cuts out. Don't care. But yeah,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: I mean, and and he was. He was right there
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: with you. It made it over the way you really
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: didn't make it yet, I mean, but now when you
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: have a crisis, it did crisis. No, it's different handles
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: the crisis very differently. He's not the person you want
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: to like. Maybe two minutes he's not coming by the hospital.
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: On the phone. He hung he had the phone. I said, Hey,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: what's going on? Oh damn God, bless that was it?
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: So weird. I've seen him ground TV. But let us himself.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Very very different, minute, very different, very different. So so
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: keep doing your things, Steve. We'll see you tomorrow when
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: you get back. And happy Father's Day, belated and all
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: of that. Uh switching gears. Now. People magazine is reporting
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: that the rumors about Bill and Camille Cosby getting a
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: divorce are false. We even talked about it last week
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: on this show. Radar online dot Com reported that Bill
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Cosby and his wife Camille were headed first Blitzville and
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: that Camille had already moved out of their Philly home,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: where Bill Cosby is currently on house arrest. But Andrew Wyatt,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: a repped from Mr Cosby, says those reports are completely false,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: and he also notes that Radar Online did not reach
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: out to him confirm any of this. Yeah, that's what
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: I believe, that they're still together. It's just different. Here's
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: what it sounds like with them in the house. I
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: have audio, actual audio of them in the house. Come
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: in come, in come, in come, in come, in come,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: in come, in come, in come in Oh I hear
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: I'm calling you come in here. All he does all
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: day is just call my name. Come he thinks I'm
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: coming up here. Another thing, come out changing my name.
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: Come in. He sound like a breakfast. Come in, come
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: in lunch, jun come in, come in, come in, come in,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: late night, come in, come in to in the morning, Jake,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: come in, come in. People Magazine is reporting that the
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: rumors about Bill and Camille come up our false All right,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: coming up in ten minutes, guys, come we have we'll
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up right now.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: Jay is here with a comedy segment. It's called who
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: was that family? Or who was the family? We all
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: had it when we were growing up. The neighborhoods were
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: just different. Then we were section off. And once I
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: say this, well you'll all remember certain families for instance,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: friends and now where were raised? And you of Chicago?
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Who was the fighting family? Johnson all six that had
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: to be the Ingrams saying yeah, those boys boys, all
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: six of them though fight, they fight in a heart
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: beat fight. You had to be their friends. The Mobley's
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: It was the yet John Mobley and his brothers all
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: day long. Especially, it's a lot of boys, just two
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: of them. It was just two. They beat me up
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: every day, all right? Who was the Uppidy family? Oh,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: they're still in the neighborhood. Yeah, that's it, the Browns.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: I think we have something here. Women, Let's ask the
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: question again. Who was the Uppi family? Go on with
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: your little segment, comic Clark coming. Surely, don't want to
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: tell you what. I don't know what you're talking about.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: Family that thought they were better than anybody. But we're
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: all in the same name. Who was that family? We
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: ain't got no friends? Yeah, yeah, alright, one quick question?
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: How many was it in your family? I was just
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: my mom was a single parent, and my brother and
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: I And then you thought they were from England the
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: way they talked, Right, Who was that family? Sherlett? I
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: didn't know. I don't know a right. We're moving on.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: We're moving on, all right. Who was the family that
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: owned the funeral home? Oh? I went to high school
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: with her, the Leavies, they all and they all all
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: the boys came to school with suits z ready ready
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: to go to work. You already you didn't even want
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: to be fans with them. I think it was I
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: think their last name was Jenkins. But the girls all
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: looked dead. They all put too much foundation. You have
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: all that foundation. Who's the family of all the fine men? Oh, Jeffrey,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: Jeffrey's family. Jeffrey and Jason. They were brothers. Oh they
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: were cute. They were cute. They lived about five houses down.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: For me, they were fine. Who were the pretty girls?
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Who had all the pretty girls in the family. Oh,
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: my gosh, it's the great the Mayfield Lord ha Mercy.

- 1:20:34Speaker 1: They they were just like from the mother down. You
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: wanted the mama to haymos Mayfield. I said he was
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: the Morans, the right, beautiful mom, beautiful beauty daughter. Yeah.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: Who's the sports family? Oh, that's the high They all
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: played sports. They had to be the Jacksons that lived
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: across the street, but down like on ther end. It
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: had to be the Jacksons. Okay, not that, but good too. Yeah.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: They were really good. I mean softball. They were really
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: good at softball. Because the park was not part Now
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: this was part me. I was part half of the family,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: the smart family, because the other half that was smart
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: was my sister. But you don't transfer taking credit for that.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: You know, my sister was a straight age student. Man.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: I never got none of that, none, not at all.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: All Right, Well, who was the who's the dumb family?
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: Just just stupid, just straight stupid. Who was that family?
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: I don't know if Yeah, don't don't know nothing, don't
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: know not, not a damn thing. You know, you see
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: one of me, always say oh they're so stupid mcgru
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: all of them. I gotta say that Williams, not to
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: be confused with my current husband's last name is Williams.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: He's a very smart man. But yeah, that Williams. They
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: couldn't get the Graves nothing. They didn't know nothing. And
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: I want to be I want to be a little
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: ginger when I asked this question, because I don't want to,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: you know, insult anybody. Who was the family? Let's not
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: say they would be they just say they were heavy breathes.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: What family was that? The whole You go in the house,
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: the living room ain't no room, and it'll be t
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: v old or nothing. I mean, ain't nothing old. You
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: you look out at the refrigerator, but you ain't all right, Okay,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: Well I can't remember the last names, but I do
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: remember his name. It was big people and yeah, debate,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: the Yeah, the Sun. That was my age. His name
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: is Poindexter and then his family. Yes, dog never played
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: nothing the dog beat. He never was just they were
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: slightly slightly did a lot of jail time, was them.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Oh man, I'm not even gonna say that. Man, No, sir, no, no,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: I'm not gonna answer that. I'm like, surely, go ahead.
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: What do It's getting me called up again when I
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: go home? I heard you talking about jail time. Yeah.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: They right across street from releast three people they at
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: the same time, the Reynolds, the Reds. That name I remember.
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: Can I just tell you this one lady that was
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: on my block that was the scary house. Yeah, oh yes,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: who had to scary house? Scary house. I think her
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: last name was Thompson, Mrs Thompson. Whenever we had to
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: go down the street, we were across the street, didn't
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: walk past her house because and if she and if
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: she caught you and she opened that door, she looked
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: like Betty Davis and whatever had one that this lady
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: would come on. I don't know what she was doing,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: but she'd come on a porch and she burned. He'd
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: burn rags in a bucket, and so that just nobody
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: walked past. Yeah, she was scary. She she wore a
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: white like pasty white makeup and her eyes were real dark,
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: and she wore a blood red lips. She was scared
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: relooking all the little kids. Yeah, I'm gonna ask the
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: last one who was a short family. But I leave that.

- 1:28:05Speaker 1: um that her grandmother taught her how to pleasure herself

- 1:28:12Speaker 1: in here, baby. Okay, you don't in here, Yeah, you

- 1:28:52Speaker 1: for me. We ar there? All right? Coming up, we'll
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: have more of the ste Marby Morning Show. You're listening
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: to the stew All right, guys. As we mentioned, Steve
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: Harvey is out, he's still at the mentoring camp. We
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: will hear from him more this morning. Nephew Tommy is
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: on vacation and Carla is on vacation. One question, when
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: do I get a vacation? You don't everyone and it's
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: six of us now, Jay, all of us have to
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: go on vacation. Then, because you're the newest member, then
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: you go on vacation whatever. Yeah, whatever's left. Then you
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: get that, you're going You're going right one Thanksgiving week,
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: I'm the Cinderella of the show. Whatever doesn't get right Thanksgiving,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: I'm the Cinderella on the show. I don't need to
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: go to the dance. But right now it is time
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: for entertainment news. Uh, in case you haven't heard, and
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: if you've been living under a rock, you would not
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: know that jay Z and Beyonce dropped an album over
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: the weekend. It's something was up with everything is a
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: lot of the way they were, all that hugging and
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: kissing and sex, sexes and all that. Some people are
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: saying that they do this on purpose to knock off
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: NAS because nad album and him and NAS had is
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: the beef? Did they have beef or something like that, Well,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: jay Z and NAS back in the day, yeah, or
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: so Kanye produced the album. Kanye did, so this might
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: be a smack in the page with Kanye. Remember he's
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: working on all those projects Kanye, so NAS was one
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: of them. I'll tell you what though, what I'm about
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: to get this knas album right now. Yeah, I don't
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: know if I'll be getting to jay Z and beyond say.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: It's exclusively untitled, so they'll they'll be fine, They'll be okay,
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: they won't even expect they were to listen today, they
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: won't even give the I don't think they sending in
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: the house going. I wonder if Jay's gonna get it.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: But it was kind of like June was the month
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: for the month of Kanyee k had a month. It
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: almost made them forget you know, what he said about
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: slavery and everything a little bit. I didn't know that
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: they had started calling it. Oh my goodness. I just
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: think that's an artist that's so very, very very misunderstood.
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: Oh Man and other news you think they call him that?
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: In the house, it's Kanye. We love you Kanye. Alright.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: I picked our fans waited fourteen years, fourteen years for
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: the incredible sequel. Finally it is really rapid incredible two,
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: which starts, of course, among others. Samuel L. Jackson is
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: number one at the box office, Number one. All right.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: It's a great movie to take your kids, because a
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: lot of the jokes in there are for kids, but
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: they sneak in some grown up But this is the
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: only move I heard about that grown people were going with. Yes,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: because people want to see you got Samuel Jackson, you know,
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: so congratulations to them. And we got to say congratulations
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: one more time to Trevor Jackson. Trevor Jackson is his name,
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: the star of super Fly. Super This weekend was a
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: great movie weekend. They're going to remake The Mac too.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: What wait a minute with phase on love not as
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: the Mac. Okay, listen, we got the big Man coming
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: up closing remarks. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: All right, here we are, last break of the day
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: with just one more thing, and get ready, of course
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: for Steve's closing remarks. He has brought those back for
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: two thousand eighteen. Okay, today, I thought a good subject
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: to talk about was about I think mentors being mentored,
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: how to attract the right mentor. Um. I don't care
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: what you're thinking of doing in your life. I don't
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: care what decisions you make. Somebody has already done it,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: attempted it, gone down that road, made the attempt. Maybe
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: not your ideas specifically, but the route to get there
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: has already been traveled for the most part. Uh, if
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: you want to be successful, there are successful people. If
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: you want to be a star athlete, that's a star.
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. I'm saying to you that
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: whatever it is you're trying to accomplish, somebody has already
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: taken the path. Now finding these people is really really
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: not that difficult. Now, getting in front of them is
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: where you're gonna find the difficulty. So let me give
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: you a couple of suggestions. What is the best way
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: to approach a mentor? What is the best way to
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: approach a mentor of means and a mentor with means,
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: Because that's that's two different people. You know, Martin Luther
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: King was a mentor of means. He wasn't a wealthy man,
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: but Lord have mercy man. The knowledge that he could
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: have given you about struggling and overcoming and and and
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: stick tuitiveness, those those lessons he could have taught you
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: would have been invaluable. So you have two different types
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: of mentors. You have mentors of means and mentors with means. Now,
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: if you can find the two combined, that's even more special.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: But you're getting into more of a rare territory. Now.
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: It's harder to find mentors of means and with means combined,
- 1:34:54Speaker 1: because how do you get to that person? How do
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: you get to the Oprah Winters. When you find some
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: I'm one in your life, or you meet someone like
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: you hear someone, you put them on your vision board.
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: I want to meet this person one day. I would
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: love to have a conversation with this person. You have
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: to understand something most people with means of any kind,
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: like Bishop Jake's. He has a lot of means man.
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: He dells well financially too, but he is also just
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: a man of wealth of knowledge. How do you get
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: to these people, Well, it's several ways to do it,
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: but if you can somehow find that way, because there's
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: no specific way right when you get in front of
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: this person, I want you to understand something. When you're
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: facing them, they don't mind teaching and sharing, because most
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: people of means are great sharers and great teachers a
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: Bishop Jake's, Joe Oldstein, that brother that has the app out,
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: the hip hop uh preacher Eric Eric Thomas brothers like
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: that too, and I listened to him man a lot
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: of times. But getting in front of them, taking their
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: course or whatever you might do. When you get in
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: front of them, they don't mind teaching and sharing. They
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: will mind giving you money. See, most people want to
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: meet a mentor so they can present an idea to
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: him and get some financial help. That's the quickest way
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: to run them off because everybody is used to that.
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: Do you have any idea how many times in a
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: week I'm asked for money? It's sickening but if you
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: come to me and say, man, could you just give
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: me a piece of advice? I usually don't have no
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: problem with that. I got time for most anybody that
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: wants some advice wants me to share a wealth a
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: piece of knowledge. That's okay. So when you get to
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: these people, have a plan to be taught something. Ask
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: him to teach you to fish, not to give you
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: a fish sandwich. Ask them to teach you to fish.
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: They don't have a problem with that. Now in several
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: ways to get in front of them. But when you
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: do get that, when you finally do meet them, and
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: meeting the main as difficult as you think. Now, if
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: you live in you know, New York, and your mentor
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: lives in l A, you're gotta to find a way
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: to get to l A. Oh, you gotta find out
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: when you come to New York. You gotta do some research.
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: But you have mentors closer than that. You have somebody
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: who's a really well mentally balanced person that you need
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: information from. You have a person who seems to be
- 1:37:35Speaker 1: doing really well with a wife and their children you
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: need information from. Because it's all a balancing act. You
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: can't be successful in your business and while your family
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: sitting over there struggling and in ruins is not going
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: to work. Once you learn the traits of success, it
- 1:37:49Speaker 1: it filters over into every other aspect of life. So
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: you gotta have a balance. You can find these people
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: right here. Don't ask them for money. People want to
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: share and teach and give you information. Everybody needs a mentor.
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: You cannot make it without mentorship. You know, there's an
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: incredible saying, and we ain't got to get into why
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: so incredible. But friendship is essential to the soul. You
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: know why friendship is so essential to the soul. I've
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: lost my mother, my father, I've lost my brother, I've
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: lost my best friend. Before you can live your life
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: without your mother, you may have to eventually. One day.
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: You can live your life without your father. You may
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: eventually have to do that. One day. You can live
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: your life without your uncles and your relatives. But you
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: know what, it's very very difficult to live your life
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: without or friend It is very very difficult to live
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: in this world with no friendship. Nowhere. You can't pick
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: up the man you got. Friendship is essential to the soul.
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: Do not avoid mentoring, don't try to do it all
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: by yourself, because nobody gets to the top by yourself.
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: There's no such thing as a self made man. You've
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: got to have a mental Those are my closing remarks today.
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: Drop it, Baby, drop it. Those are good for all
