- 0:16Speaker 3: bu bu boozy.

- 0:39Speaker 5: Joy, Yeah, Joy, you know you gotta turn.
- 1:31Speaker 4: I can't. I got to turn the mouth. Turn You
- 1:43Speaker 4: probably got to turn the mouth, turn out, turn a
- 1:47Speaker 4: wad of the mony up looking come come out?
- 1:59Speaker 2: You think that I sure will. Good morning everybody. You're
- 2:06Speaker 2: listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now, one
- 2:10Speaker 2: and only. It is Steve Harvey. Yeah, I got a
- 2:14Speaker 2: radio show. Okay, this is a timely for everybody. I'm
- 2:20Speaker 2: sure I want to offer you all some encouragement because
- 2:30Speaker 2: everybody needed. Let me tell you something. You strike out
- 2:35Speaker 2: on your goals, you strike out on your aspirations, and
- 2:40Speaker 2: so you strike out. As it happens to all of us.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Here it comes life. Life just hits one of them
- 2:51Speaker 2: bad notes, as it always does, as it always does
- 2:56Speaker 2: for all of us, for everybody. Now, when those bad
- 3:03Speaker 2: notes happen, when the haters come out of nowhere, when
- 3:07Speaker 2: the setback comes up, when when the eye of nowhere appears,
- 3:13Speaker 2: when now I didn't see that coming comes, Here's here's
- 3:18Speaker 2: what you have to do here is the thing that
- 3:21Speaker 2: I have been teaching myself for years that I used
- 3:27Speaker 2: to not always understand. So I'm trying to give it
- 3:30Speaker 2: to you. You have to be encouraged anyway. Now that's difficult, okay, Steve,
- 3:38Speaker 2: what you're talking about? You just told me all this
- 3:40Speaker 2: discouraging stuff that can happen, and you said you got
- 3:43Speaker 2: to be encouraged anyway. Yeah, man, you have to, because
- 3:51Speaker 2: what's happening to you right now, the thing that you're
- 3:54Speaker 2: going through right now, the thing that everybody's going through
- 3:58Speaker 2: right now. Ain't nobody else smooth sailing? Man. Everybody got
- 4:02Speaker 2: something and if they if they don't smooth sailing, just
- 4:05Speaker 2: know this is coming. There's nothing I'm wishing on anybody.
- 4:09Speaker 2: It's just that this is life. This is how it
- 4:12Speaker 2: happens everybody, So please stop stop getting on the old
- 4:15Speaker 2: woe is Me bandwagon?
- 4:17Speaker 4: Old Lord?
- 4:18Speaker 2: Why met old Lord? Something always happened to me, something
- 4:22Speaker 2: always happens to everybody. But here's what you got to do.
- 4:27Speaker 2: When you get in moments like this, you got to
- 4:30Speaker 2: be encouraged. You got to remember in those times, in
- 4:35Speaker 2: those times when it's going wrong, you got to remember
- 4:38Speaker 2: all that you've been through. You got to remember all
- 4:44Speaker 2: that you've come through. You have to remember those other
- 4:49Speaker 2: times when you felt like this, and somehow, unexplainably you
- 4:54Speaker 2: don't even really stop to say nothing about it. It
- 4:58Speaker 2: just changed for you and the problem that was is
- 5:02Speaker 2: no more. And the situation that seems so insurmountable, you
- 5:08Speaker 2: got over it, You got around it, you got over it.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Sometimes you just got to slide right under it. Sometimes
- 5:19Speaker 2: you got to plow through it. But in those times
- 5:24Speaker 2: when it's discouraging for you, when you feel like giving up,
- 5:28Speaker 2: those are the test. Those are the moments that will
- 5:34Speaker 2: determine whether we make it or not. I'll tell you
- 5:39Speaker 2: one thing for sure. If you give up in these moments,
- 5:42Speaker 2: right here here is a for show, you'll never make it.
- 5:46Speaker 2: That's unquestionably the deal. If you give up in these
- 5:52Speaker 2: dark times, if you give up in these what you
- 5:56Speaker 2: think is insurmountable moments, if you turn back now here
- 6:02Speaker 2: is the one thousand percent for shore. You ain't gonna
- 6:05Speaker 2: make it. But there is a bright side to this situation.
- 6:11Speaker 2: If you keep your head down, if you keep forging,
- 6:16Speaker 2: if you keep pressing on sometimes if you just stand
- 6:19Speaker 2: there and sometimes get knocked to your knees. But if
- 6:23Speaker 2: you stay in that place, if you just stay there
- 6:26Speaker 2: and ride the storm out, my head is bloodied but unbowed.
- 6:32Speaker 2: If you can just stay there, if you consider in
- 6:38Speaker 2: that moment and ride it out, you will win. You
- 6:45Speaker 2: will pass the test, and you will get to move
- 6:48Speaker 2: on to the next level. But there is no next
- 6:52Speaker 2: level without a test. You can't get to grade six
- 6:57Speaker 2: without passing grade five. You can can't be a senior
- 7:01Speaker 2: without first being a junior. You can't graduate without fulfilling
- 7:07Speaker 2: the hours and requirements. You see, I don't care what
- 7:11Speaker 2: you do in life. Look at it, it's all set
- 7:14Speaker 2: up on levels. Well, you've got to accomplish the thing
- 7:18Speaker 2: before in order to get to the next level. And
- 7:21Speaker 2: when you've made those level accomplishments, you get to graduate.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Now you can go on and get a master's and
- 7:26Speaker 2: a pH d. You can go on and become rich.
- 7:29Speaker 2: You can go become wealthy, or you can go or
- 7:32Speaker 2: you can go somewhere and think yourself in another set
- 7:34Speaker 2: of circumstances. But you got to go through something to
- 7:37Speaker 2: get to something. That ain't nothing free. So you can
- 7:41Speaker 2: stop that notion about being successful that is easy. Come on, man,
- 7:46Speaker 2: if it was easy. What we don't what we're talking about.
- 7:50Speaker 2: It is not easy. Stop thinking it is. It is difficult.
- 7:55Speaker 2: But I'll tell you what's even more difficult than becoming successful.
- 8:00Speaker 2: You want to know what that is? Try not being
- 8:03Speaker 2: successful your whole life. That's hard. You are listening to
- 8:08Speaker 2: a person who has done them both been successful and
- 8:14Speaker 2: really really been not successful. And I got news for you.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Both of them hard. But I would rather deal with
- 8:22Speaker 2: what it is to be something, to make something out
- 8:26Speaker 2: of myself, to force myself to go to work when
- 8:28Speaker 2: I don't feel like it. This morning was a rough
- 8:31Speaker 2: get up for me, but I got up and I
- 8:34Speaker 2: said thank you anyway. Never give up, and out of
- 8:37Speaker 2: watch this dude to heed the mess around and got
- 8:39Speaker 2: close to me because he just never gave up. Get
- 8:43Speaker 2: You can never ever give up. Never, It's not an option.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Giving up cannot be an option for you. You cannot
- 8:52Speaker 2: do that. It's out of the question. It's inconceivable in
- 8:57Speaker 2: your mind to quit, because to quit is to what
- 9:01Speaker 2: what you get when you quit nothing? That is a
- 9:05Speaker 2: reward for those who hang in there, who never give up,
- 9:09Speaker 2: who forge through, who see it through, who get knocked
- 9:12Speaker 2: down and get back up who gets trampled but somehow
- 9:16Speaker 2: gathers themselves and get back to your knees. But stay
- 9:20Speaker 2: in that place, man, don't ever give up. Don't let
- 9:23Speaker 2: go be encouraged. Think of all you've been through, Think
- 9:26Speaker 2: of all you come through. Think of all he's done
- 9:28Speaker 2: for you. Think of all the times you thought you
- 9:31Speaker 2: wasn't gonna make it, but somehow, without you ever even
- 9:33Speaker 2: saying thank you, he got through. He got you through it. Anyway.
- 9:36Speaker 2: That's that thing called grace. Now we kind of need
- 9:39Speaker 2: that in our life. All will all I need is
- 9:42Speaker 2: a little more grace. You can't give God no money
- 9:46Speaker 2: for grace, man. Grace is absolutely free. It's available to everybody,
- 9:51Speaker 2: but you can't get none if you quit. Don't give up.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I'll just tell you that flat out. Don't ever give up.

- 11:00Speaker 2: can I say something before you ask something? It has
- 11:04Speaker 2: been like I don't know if you've noticed, kind of
- 11:06Speaker 2: been like behind the scenes commenting on your questions and
- 11:10Speaker 2: just with saying, you know, question some of your questions.
- 11:15Speaker 2: So I just wanted to bring that to your attention.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Watch you see here go ahead.
- 11:22Speaker 7: No, you know one thing about tom is you know
- 11:24Speaker 7: this is for the people that's listening, so we can
- 11:26Speaker 7: help them. You obviously don't want help. That's obviously with
- 11:30Speaker 7: your problems.
- 11:31Speaker 8: So here we go ahead.
- 11:32Speaker 7: Let me here we go on, So Ley talk to
- 11:34Speaker 7: you about mentoring. You know you got your boys camp
- 11:36Speaker 7: coming up? How do you even become a mentor? Can
- 11:41Speaker 7: everybody mentor? Because I know Tommy camp? Anybody do you
- 11:46Speaker 7: want to go to the camp?
- 11:47Speaker 2: Is? That's what this is.
- 11:48Speaker 9: Go to the camp. Let's go to the cancer. You
- 11:52Speaker 9: know they got they got, they got cots and everything.
- 11:54Speaker 9: You're sleeping there doing, but you're gonna get you a
- 11:55Speaker 9: little behind?
- 11:56Speaker 2: What but going in there?
- 12:00Speaker 8: What is it a question? I'm not listening to him.
- 12:04Speaker 8: I am not listening to him.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Well, every adult male can provide mentorship everyone. Okay, it's
- 12:14Speaker 2: it's not about fame or money or position. It's about manhood. Man.
- 12:21Speaker 2: We gotta teach as many of these young men in
- 12:23Speaker 2: our society today the principles of true manhood, what it
- 12:27Speaker 2: really means to be a man. To be a real man,
- 12:31Speaker 2: you have to respect the law. You have to honor God.
- 12:34Speaker 2: You have to go to work every day. You gotta
- 12:35Speaker 2: take care of your family. You gotta. You gotta honor women,
- 12:38Speaker 2: you got, you gotta, you gotta. If you have a child,
- 12:40Speaker 2: you gotta take care of your child. Man responsibility. You don't,
- 12:44Speaker 2: you don't. You don't get off from it. That's what
- 12:45Speaker 2: manhood is. We have to stop thinking manhood is being
- 12:49Speaker 2: a rap producer, a gold chain wharer. That ain't got
- 12:54Speaker 2: nothing to do with it. Man, bro, you gotta get
- 12:57Speaker 2: your manhood together. And we need only only can teach
- 13:00Speaker 2: that are men. Only men can teach manhood. I'm sorry
- 13:05Speaker 2: it be like me trying to teach womanhood to a
- 13:08Speaker 2: young girl. What I know about that zip? And so
- 13:12Speaker 2: it is with boys, it's important. We need as many
- 13:15Speaker 2: men as we can come and just share. Share your failures.
- 13:20Speaker 2: That's what they want to know. How do you fail
- 13:23Speaker 2: and get up and win?
- 13:25Speaker 9: Okay, that's what it is, all right, and take your
- 13:28Speaker 9: baseball cap off.
- 13:29Speaker 10: If you're going to be a man, be a man anyway.
- 13:34Speaker 1: We're moving on.
- 13:35Speaker 6: Coming up at thirty two minutes after we will hear
- 13:38Speaker 6: from the nephew as he runs that prank back right

- 15:07Speaker 11: being one of the brothers of the church, I wanted
- 15:09Speaker 11: to give you a call. Man. You didn't make it
- 15:10Speaker 11: to day, but you and well you know, your wife

- 15:21Speaker 11: know that, you know, she's being a little older now
- 15:26Speaker 11: forty one forty two, you know, she said it takes
- 15:28Speaker 11: a little longer to try and conceive a child and
- 15:31Speaker 11: you know in your earlier years. So we we definitely
- 15:33Speaker 11: wanted to let you know man that we we got
- 15:35Speaker 11: y'all in our prayers. Man. Man, you just don't know
- 15:38Speaker 11: how much we appreciate that. Man. Yeah, we've been trying,
- 15:40Speaker 11: but I know with prayers all things are possible. Yeah. Well,
- 15:44Speaker 11: we definitely want to definitely want to keep you all
- 15:46Speaker 11: in our prayers, man, and I hope that you all
- 15:49Speaker 11: able to conceive this child and bring, you know, bring, bring, bring,
- 15:52Speaker 11: bring a new new child into this world. You know
- 15:54Speaker 11: that the book says be fruitful and multiply. Definitely definitely.
- 15:57Speaker 11: Now who's this again? Brother, brother a brother also. I
- 16:00Speaker 11: don't know if you know me directly, but I'm brother,

- 16:06Speaker 11: thank you not not not not not not Robert. What
- 16:08Speaker 11: I want to ask you, man, was have you considered
- 16:11Speaker 11: any any alternatives methods as far as you know, maybe
- 16:16Speaker 11: helping this situation? Uh, we've looked at a few what
- 16:20Speaker 11: what what what are you referring to as an alternative? Well,
- 16:23Speaker 11: I mean I think I have a good thing then
- 16:27Speaker 11: that might be able to help this thing speed up
- 16:29Speaker 11: the process, and and and and you guys will be
- 16:32Speaker 11: expecting in no time. Man. Man, we are definite open
- 16:37Speaker 11: for some things like that. What what what what you
- 16:38Speaker 11: got to done? I mean, uh, well what I have
- 16:41Speaker 11: is a little a little unorthodox, man, But I think
- 16:44Speaker 11: if you allow me to help you on this, man,
- 16:47Speaker 11: I think that you'll be definitely satisfied. And you know, man,
- 16:51Speaker 11: if nine months or not, you got to be at
- 16:53Speaker 11: the hospital wait looking for you your baby for all
- 16:55Speaker 11: your paper girl, you know who are clarify an orthodox? Okay,
- 17:00Speaker 11: see what I have in mind, man, is have you
- 17:03Speaker 11: considered maybe like a surrogate father class classified? Say, I'm
- 17:10Speaker 11: thinking the wrong thing. I don't want I want to
- 17:11Speaker 11: make shit will on the same page. What do you
- 17:13Speaker 11: mean by Sarah the fuck? Well? What it is man
- 17:16Speaker 11: is you know you know, of course a mother is
- 17:19Speaker 11: someone that will carry a child for those that cannot
- 17:23Speaker 11: carry one. You know what I'm saying, right right? So
- 17:26Speaker 11: what what?
- 17:26Speaker 12: What?
- 17:26Speaker 2: What?
- 17:27Speaker 11: I've gone to the doctor and got myself checked out, man,
- 17:30Speaker 11: good physical and everything. I'm physically fitting everything. And you know,
- 17:34Speaker 11: maybe I guess the complications are coming from uh you
- 17:38Speaker 11: as far as the child not being you know, you're
- 17:39Speaker 11: not being able to conceive right now now, now, ain't
- 17:42Speaker 11: there ain't nothing wrong with me? Man? Okay, Now what
- 17:45Speaker 11: you mean like you physically fit? I mean what yeah,
- 17:48Speaker 11: they got to do with shared Well, see what I'm
- 17:50Speaker 11: saying is if well you know, if you if you
- 17:52Speaker 11: allow me to come over and and supply my services.
- 17:57Speaker 11: I mean, let's say, if you left for a weekend, man,
- 17:59Speaker 11: and I say it over there by the time you
- 18:01Speaker 11: get back there, Man, what the time with you? Is this?
- 18:04Speaker 12: What's going on at this church?
- 18:05Speaker 4: Man?
- 18:06Speaker 11: Am I at the road church? They say you're telling
- 18:08Speaker 11: me you tray? Help me understand you saying you want

- 22:40Speaker 1: This is from Shannon and New Haven.
- 22:42Speaker 6: Shannon writes, I found out that my dad was married
- 22:44Speaker 6: to another woman when he got my mom pregnant. He
- 22:48Speaker 6: was there for most of my childhood and eventually married
- 22:51Speaker 6: my mom.
- 22:52Speaker 1: So I never knew. Why would my parents keep this
- 22:55Speaker 1: family secret from me? Who can't tell you that? Yeah,
- 23:01Speaker 1: to tail, no baby.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Would keep you because you wasn't born. You was not here, lady, lady,
- 23:16Speaker 2: let that go. Why would they keep that from you?
- 23:21Speaker 2: Was not born yet? Yeah? So why tell you some stuff?
- 23:25Speaker 2: And you know a much stuff happened before I got here.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I ain't never mentioned to me, right, and you're okay?
- 23:33Speaker 2: I'm fine?
- 23:34Speaker 1: Yeah, all right.
- 23:37Speaker 6: Moving on to Lawrence and Decatur, Lawrence writes, my girlfriend
- 23:40Speaker 6: has become a dark cloud, and I tried helping her
- 23:43Speaker 6: with her money issues and family drama, but it's starting
- 23:46Speaker 6: to weigh me down. I want to separate myself from her,
- 23:51Speaker 6: but I don't want to add to her grief. How
- 23:53Speaker 6: do I break up with her nicely?
- 23:57Speaker 12: Now?
- 23:57Speaker 2: You got to add to a dog? Get out, run
- 24:01Speaker 2: ye do it all it wants dog, Just drop the
- 24:05Speaker 2: helmet down. Ain't no easing out.
- 24:08Speaker 1: What should he say though?
- 24:09Speaker 2: What just leave?
- 24:11Speaker 1: Say nothing and leave?
- 24:12Speaker 4: Or what?
- 24:13Speaker 2: Hey? Listen?
- 24:15Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Normally baby, listen, you know, normally people say it's not you,
- 24:19Speaker 2: it's me. In this case, is you.
- 24:24Speaker 11: Not me?
- 24:25Speaker 1: I'm out.
- 24:26Speaker 2: It ain't got nothing to do with me. I'm absolutely fine.
- 24:31Speaker 2: What fear of me becoming you is what's driving me crazy?
- 24:35Speaker 2: I got to go for peace of mind.
- 24:38Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, he said, it's dry. It's starting to weigh
- 24:40Speaker 6: him down, you know, stressing him out? Mm hm okay, all.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Right, moving on that.
- 24:47Speaker 2: If if she's stressing you out, now, yeah, getting married
- 24:51Speaker 2: and watch what happened? Man? Run?
- 24:55Speaker 4: Run?
- 24:56Speaker 1: Okay?
- 24:57Speaker 9: All right?
- 24:58Speaker 2: Uh?
- 24:59Speaker 6: Moving on to CHERI in South Bend, Terese writes, I
- 25:01Speaker 6: had sex with a coworker and thought we were headed
- 25:04Speaker 6: toward a relationship.
- 25:06Speaker 1: But he's acting funny at work now.
- 25:09Speaker 6: He said he wants to keep things professional, but I
- 25:11Speaker 6: think it was just to hit it and quit it
- 25:13Speaker 6: for him.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Did the sex complicate things?
- 25:18Speaker 2: No, it's not. The sex ended things.
- 25:21Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he did exactly what he wanted to do.
- 25:25Speaker 2: Yeah, he got it, And now let's keep it professional.
- 25:31Speaker 2: You all over there at your desk with both your
- 25:33Speaker 2: both your hands on your face, looking at him, throwing
- 25:36Speaker 2: up little hard signs with your hands, hat, slipping notes
- 25:40Speaker 2: and stuff. Professional. No, we'll eat together. People will see us. Wow.
- 25:48Speaker 2: And you're not supposed to fragnize at work anyway, And
- 25:50Speaker 2: so I think keeping a professional is the best way
- 25:52Speaker 2: to do it, because you're not supposed to fragnize at work.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Can't make an eye contact him? Why she keep doing that?
- 25:59Speaker 2: Why looking over here?
- 26:03Speaker 1: What should she?
- 26:04Speaker 6: I mean though, I mean this is a lesson learned
- 26:07Speaker 6: for her. I mean, let's let's at least try don't
- 26:09Speaker 6: do that at work, like you said.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Well, here's the deal. You slept with a coworker with
- 26:18Speaker 2: no no, with no end, with no means to an end.
- 26:23Speaker 2: You know you didn't. You didn't have a plan. You
- 26:25Speaker 2: just did it.
- 26:27Speaker 1: She aship.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Yeah, once again she thought she thought you did something
- 26:34Speaker 2: without a plan. Okay, what did he tell you? This
- 26:38Speaker 2: was going? Man, I've just I've been looking for somebody
- 26:40Speaker 2: like you. You're the person I've been wanting you. You
- 26:43Speaker 2: got no confirmation of anything, and so you slept with
- 26:47Speaker 2: this guy. And now you want to create a plan
- 26:49Speaker 2: as you go, and you not in his plans.
- 26:54Speaker 1: So it's best for her to just let that go.
- 26:57Speaker 12: Move on.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yeah, a homework?
- 27:01Speaker 8: What what time?
- 27:05Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 27:05Speaker 1: I don't think he.
- 27:06Speaker 13: Said another worker And yes he meant it. He didn't
- 27:11Speaker 13: mean for you to hear it, right, better understanding? Yeah, yeah,
- 27:21Speaker 13: all right, yeah another coworker. He just said it like, yeah, no,
- 27:29Speaker 13: didn't you he was looking down writ and saw me.
- 27:32Speaker 13: You didn't find another, right?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Didn't you just hear the celo say keep a professional?
- 27:40Speaker 1: It is nothing wrong with getting with a coworker work.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Oh oh, that's right.
- 27:45Speaker 4: We forgot.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Someone married her co worker?
- 27:56Speaker 11: All right?
- 27:56Speaker 6: Last one, Steve, last one, Caleb and right I took
- 28:01Speaker 6: our kids to a seven year old's birthday party and
- 28:04Speaker 6: it was a pool party. My my wife showed up
- 28:09Speaker 6: later in a red two piece swimsuit.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not red though.
- 28:17Speaker 6: I told her it was inappropriate, and she said she
- 28:21Speaker 6: believes in body positivity.
- 28:23Speaker 1: How do I encourage her to dress appropriately?
- 28:28Speaker 2: She's at the pool party, y'all.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Nothing in appropriate about that, right, It wasn't a thong though.
- 28:38Speaker 2: She was at that the kids not two things could
- 28:44Speaker 2: have happened.
- 28:45Speaker 11: Let's go.
- 28:46Speaker 2: I gotta let you know. Two things could have happened
- 28:48Speaker 2: at this pool part.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Uh huh.
- 28:51Speaker 2: She believes in body positivity, that's what she said. Here's
- 28:54Speaker 2: a part she could be banging. Boy.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm telling.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Where all the kids are going.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I want her to be my mama because why else
- 29:05Speaker 1: would he be mad?
- 29:06Speaker 5: Right?
- 29:07Speaker 2: And the other parents is out there because the other
- 29:09Speaker 2: mothers is going. What would she wearing?
- 29:13Speaker 1: How did she come here?
- 29:14Speaker 2: In front of the water? She and the water helping
- 29:23Speaker 2: with the baby, come on splashing, you know, and you
- 29:27Speaker 2: know once you get wet, Once wet, I don't care,
- 29:30Speaker 2: I don't care who you are. You immediately look seventy
- 29:34Speaker 2: five percent better.
- 29:35Speaker 4: You look.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and then she got to come about the water.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Uh huh. Now that could be one scenario. Here's the
- 29:44Speaker 2: other scenario. She a big girl and decided today was
- 29:49Speaker 2: today she was going to do body positives, and her
- 29:53Speaker 2: husband was going, hey, there's nothing in your suit where
- 29:58Speaker 2: it's supposed to.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Be, but don't body shamer though, that's what she's saying.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Well, I'm just saying she came out here and said
- 30:06Speaker 2: the body positivity she got, she got stuff coming out
- 30:10Speaker 2: her swim suit where it ain't supposed to come out,
- 30:11Speaker 2: you know when you buy the When the lady were
- 30:13Speaker 2: the uh that where the bra is connected to the
- 30:18Speaker 2: panties the bikini. But they had that little metal hooping
- 30:23Speaker 2: when your meat is coming out them hoop holes. All right,
- 30:27Speaker 2: thank you, Celo. Coming up next, we'll have some entertainment
- 30:30Speaker 2: for you right after this. You're listening Hardy Morning Show. Well,
- 30:40Speaker 2: you guys have heard of doom scrolling, right it is.
- 30:44Speaker 2: It is when you just lie around scrolling on your phone,
- 30:47Speaker 2: just for hours at a time. Well, now, studies show
- 30:50Speaker 2: that doom scrolling directly causes severe mental and physical stress
- 30:56Speaker 2: by keeping your body's nervous system trapped in a continuous
- 30:59Speaker 2: active threat response loop. Binging on distressing online information disrupts
- 31:05Speaker 2: your rest cycle. It can elevate your blood pressure, and
- 31:08Speaker 2: it can cause headaches and muscle tension as well as
- 31:12Speaker 2: mental exhaustion.
- 31:13Speaker 1: So here's a question for you, guys.
- 31:15Speaker 6: Do you have any symptoms when you're when you're constantly scrolling?
- 31:19Speaker 1: Do you still huh your eyes?
- 31:22Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 31:22Speaker 8: I can't see knowing?
- 31:24Speaker 1: Uh huh?
- 31:26Speaker 11: You bother?
- 31:26Speaker 1: Your eyes?
- 31:28Speaker 3: Scroll like I scroll all night two three, and then
- 31:32Speaker 3: we have to be at work so early.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Now I'm exhausted. Right now, it's time to go to bed.
- 31:37Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 31:38Speaker 2: You have to be scrolling and then look up and
- 31:40Speaker 2: can't see nothing.
- 31:42Speaker 1: It's blurry.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Wow, put this phone down.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you gotta put it down. Yeah, that's true.
- 31:53Speaker 1: That story true facts.
- 31:56Speaker 6: Doom scrolling, All right, that's what it's called. Okay, moving on,
- 32:00Speaker 6: College students are struggling to read.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I didn't know this.
- 32:05Speaker 6: There are videos and social media to prove it. A
- 32:08Speaker 6: Pepperdine University professor studied this phenomenon, and research shows that
- 32:12Speaker 6: gen Z grads are showing up to college without reading
- 32:16Speaker 6: skills that that used to be expected. Okay, it's worse
- 32:21Speaker 6: than struggling with big novels. Some students are having trouble
- 32:25Speaker 6: reading simple sentences. This reflects a broader trend, and studies
- 32:30Speaker 6: revealed that almost half of Americans didn't read a single
- 32:33Speaker 6: book last year, and overall reading has dropped forty percent
- 32:38Speaker 6: in the past decade.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Why because we're there and.
- 32:42Speaker 2: In grade school we absolutely did. Yeah, oh yeah, no, no,
- 32:51Speaker 2: see they're tiktoking now.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Yeah, they're on their red Yeah nope, they.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Got verbal reading and all like that. They don't they
- 32:58Speaker 2: don't do that. Man, Yeah, they can't write. This is
- 33:02Speaker 2: a generation of content creator. Yeah, I know.
- 33:07Speaker 4: They have to.
- 33:08Speaker 3: We had to teach them how to write persons. Yeah,
- 33:12Speaker 3: they don't know how to write person Yeah.
- 33:15Speaker 2: No, they don't do that. They type, They text and
- 33:17Speaker 2: type everything. Yes, yes, correct, everything, All their papers is
- 33:22Speaker 2: turned in on a computer. They don't know how to
- 33:24Speaker 2: write everything. My kids when they write, man, they look
- 33:28Speaker 2: like they looked like a four year old wrote what's
- 33:32Speaker 2: going on with your My daughter actually said to me, Dad,
- 33:36Speaker 2: your handwriting is beautiful. That's all we did. You want
- 33:44Speaker 2: to see so ugly? Let me text you so what
- 33:51Speaker 2: I've fully gotten?
- 33:53Speaker 11: What?
- 33:55Speaker 1: Go ahead? Go ahead?
- 33:57Speaker 2: In trouble And he had to write a hundred times
- 33:58Speaker 2: on the truck board.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Yeah oh yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. I will not talk.
- 34:02Speaker 1: I used to have to write I.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Will not talk.
- 34:04Speaker 1: I will not talk. I will not talk.
- 34:06Speaker 2: You know talk. Texting has saved me because I could
- 34:10Speaker 2: just press the little microphone and talk into whom.
- 34:13Speaker 1: But oh yeah, you go.
- 34:14Speaker 2: The problem with that, I can't talk good.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Right there?
- 34:20Speaker 2: You just square I can't talk whoever? That whoever that
- 34:25Speaker 2: white lady is that tech that's typing. I know she'd be.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Goings struggling one word. She gives up, like I give up.
- 34:38Speaker 6: Yeah, So, I mean we each generation has their struggles.
- 34:41Speaker 6: But I mean you got to know how to read, though.
- 34:45Speaker 6: I don't want you struggling to read that. That's kind
- 34:48Speaker 6: of a big one right there. Yeah, that's a big.
- 34:50Speaker 9: We read Tom saw you white dude running around with
- 34:54Speaker 9: the black dude, remember that?
- 34:56Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 34:56Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:58Speaker 6: So when's the last time you guys have actually picked
- 35:00Speaker 6: up a book and read a book from cover to cover.
- 35:03Speaker 6: That's been a long time too, you know, that's been
- 35:07Speaker 6: a long time.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:08Speaker 1: On vacation, I like to read, yeah, the summer novels
- 35:12Speaker 1: and stuff. Yeah, vacation. You know you said not by
- 35:16Speaker 1: the pool when you get your book or whatever. Why
- 35:18Speaker 1: are you making that face? What's wrong? I'm just saying
- 35:24Speaker 1: if you are chilling.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Smoke all right.
- 35:40Speaker 6: Finally, guys, people are taking g l P one weight
- 35:44Speaker 6: loss drugs like Ozimbic and wagobi. Uh, they're actually hiding
- 35:48Speaker 6: it from their partners and secretly losing unwanted weight. It's
- 35:52Speaker 6: mostly women hiding it from their partners for fear of judgment.
- 35:55Speaker 6: They don't want to be judged, they don't want to
- 35:58Speaker 6: be lectured about it, okay, or their their partner just
- 36:02Speaker 6: not understanding why they're using medication in the first place.
- 36:06Speaker 6: For some their partners have already expressed concerns about side
- 36:10Speaker 6: effects or didn't support the idea, so it just feels
- 36:12Speaker 6: easier just to keep it quiet. You know, you don't
- 36:15Speaker 6: want to tell anybody.
- 36:17Speaker 2: So they're waking up.
- 36:20Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean you're going to notice it along the way,
- 36:22Speaker 6: of course, but they're not going to tell you because
- 36:24Speaker 6: they don't want to hear it.
- 36:26Speaker 1: Period.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Well, if you get fined, I don't care how you
- 36:28Speaker 2: do it.
- 36:30Speaker 8: That's all waiting on.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Thank you waiting on that.
- 36:34Speaker 1: That's your response, thank you?
- 36:39Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 36:40Speaker 6: So can you can your partners hide that from you
- 36:43Speaker 6: and you not notice it or question no, No, we
- 36:46Speaker 6: are going to be a one side. I wake up
- 36:48Speaker 6: and something look like something happened to you.
- 36:52Speaker 1: You go to bed overweight and you wake up your thing?
- 36:55Speaker 2: Now you will sign eight when we went to be
- 36:57Speaker 2: and how has you a phone?
- 36:58Speaker 11: Now?
- 36:59Speaker 2: Pretty?
- 37:00Speaker 1: Wouldn't that be wonderful though?
- 37:02Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 37:05Speaker 1: Thank you lord. All right, guys, thank you.
- 37:10Speaker 6: Coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, Pastor Jamal
- 37:13Speaker 6: Bryant has hinted about a new potential boycott, this time
- 37:18Speaker 6: of Asian owned businesses. We'll talk about it right after this.
- 37:22Speaker 6: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Think about
- 37:29Speaker 6: the people who mean the most to you. Giving them
- 37:32Speaker 6: valuable protection is a great gift you can offer, and
- 37:35Speaker 6: Globe Life Insurance can make it easy. With Globe Life coverage,

- 37:53Speaker 6: one fifty four hundred or Globelife radio dot com. Well, guys,
- 37:57Speaker 6: Pastor Jamal Bryant is at it again. He hasted at
- 38:00Speaker 6: a potential boycott of Asian owned businesses, including Chinese takeout restaurants,
- 38:05Speaker 6: beauty supply stores, and nail salons. This is all following
- 38:10Speaker 6: a viral controversial video of an Asian man daring black
- 38:14Speaker 6: Americans to boycott Asian businesses now. In the video, he
- 38:19Speaker 6: mocked the black community and said they Asian businesses do
- 38:23Speaker 6: not need black money to survive. He noted that most
- 38:27Speaker 6: of the clothes we wear and products we use are
- 38:29Speaker 6: made by Asians and come from Asia. In response, Doctor
- 38:34Speaker 6: Bryant shared the clip on his social media platforms with
- 38:38Speaker 6: the caption quote, well you heard it from them. They
- 38:41Speaker 6: said they don't need our money and that we can't
- 38:43Speaker 6: survive without them. You want to test his theory?
- 38:47Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 38:47Speaker 1: Quote yeah.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Let me say this. I don't see. First of all,
- 38:54Speaker 2: Asians are not black people's problem, and black people are
- 38:59Speaker 2: not the Asians problem, like Carla was talking about off air. See,
- 39:05Speaker 2: all of these minority groups get to come here and
- 39:08Speaker 2: benefit off the blacks, off the backs of what blacks
- 39:12Speaker 2: have done. We built this country. We built this country.
- 39:19Speaker 2: We sat in the front of the bus when we
- 39:22Speaker 2: wasn't supposed to. We set at the lunch counters. When
- 39:25Speaker 2: they told us not to, we marched on Washington. We
- 39:29Speaker 2: went across the bridge and Selm. We circle the DOJ Center.
- 39:34Speaker 2: We fought and bled for voting rights acts for people
- 39:38Speaker 2: like that. Then you come here and you get to
- 39:41Speaker 2: benefit from all the labor that black people put in.
- 39:46Speaker 2: You get to benefit from that. But if we're not careful,
- 39:51Speaker 2: if we're not careful, we will allow the divide and
- 39:55Speaker 2: conquer to win. Because I'm telling you right now, in
- 39:58Speaker 2: this country, Asians are not the black people's problem. Our
- 40:02Speaker 2: problem starts up at the top of that administration. Don't
- 40:05Speaker 2: get this thing twisted. I don't give it what you
- 40:07Speaker 2: buy at what store. We got a bigger problem with
- 40:11Speaker 2: an administration that's taking dee I, with the administration that's
- 40:15Speaker 2: trying to strip and and and and read this country
- 40:19Speaker 2: of a medicaid, of of of of all these other
- 40:23Speaker 2: benefits the destroyed d and I. They're taking black history
- 40:29Speaker 2: out of schools. We got a bigger problem. I don't
- 40:31Speaker 2: give it where you buy your hair, your sneakers, your shoes.
- 40:35Speaker 2: I don't care. We are not and should not be
- 40:39Speaker 2: award with the Asian community and the Asian community should
- 40:42Speaker 2: not be award with the black people. But if everybody
- 40:46Speaker 2: understood how they all benefit from the labor, the protests
- 40:51Speaker 2: and the hardships of black people who were in this
- 40:54Speaker 2: country before any of y'all got over here, then you
- 40:57Speaker 2: would understand. And if we stay together, we can win.
- 41:01Speaker 2: The real enemy is in the system. That's all.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, all right, well yeah say, and we're
- 41:11Speaker 1: gonna switch gears.
- 41:12Speaker 2: Uh.
- 41:13Speaker 6: Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, we'll

- 42:57Speaker 1: Okay, okay, we can ut.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Ain't that right there? I ain't know when you asked me,
- 43:01Speaker 2: I ain't coming down there. I ain't singing San Antonio
- 43:04Speaker 2: old saying New York. I ain't gonna sing no, well,
- 43:07Speaker 2: not no national anthem, not the anthorm. I don't care about.
- 43:12Speaker 1: Okay, would you perform halftime? Cardi B did the other
- 43:15Speaker 1: day in New York? Don't I don't food with Uh?
- 43:18Speaker 2: You know rap. I don't do too much rap. You know,
- 43:20Speaker 2: they just stole all the stuff. Uh, you know I
- 43:23Speaker 2: would know only song I would do it. Uh, halftime
- 43:27Speaker 2: is if this world was mine, you know, if this
- 43:30Speaker 2: world was mine at the game, at the the place,
- 43:37Speaker 2: your fee ye everything that I Oh, You've been so

- 44:30Speaker 2: home before it's dark? Possibly? Can I take you out
- 44:36Speaker 2: to night? That's that's all I mean trying to do.

- 56:48Speaker 4: Here.
- 56:49Speaker 2: It is Strawberry Letter.
- 56:51Speaker 6: Subject I love him but dot dot dot Dear Stephen Shirley,
- 56:56Speaker 6: I'm a thirty year old professional woman dating a man
- 56:59Speaker 6: that just got a divorce. I met him while he
- 57:02Speaker 6: was still married, but we didn't go out until he
- 57:05Speaker 6: moved out of his home. He was still married but
- 57:08Speaker 6: legally separated. On our first date, his wife followed him
- 57:12Speaker 6: and she made a big scene in public, calling me
- 57:15Speaker 6: all kinds of names. He cursed her out so badly
- 57:20Speaker 6: that I was ashamed for her and scared of him.
- 57:23Speaker 6: I knew in the back of my mind that she
- 57:25Speaker 6: would be a problem and he might one day curse
- 57:27Speaker 6: me out like that if he got mad enough at me,
- 57:31Speaker 6: but I kept on dating him.
- 57:33Speaker 1: When he got a divorce, he opened up.
- 57:35Speaker 6: About how he cheated on his wife twice and she
- 57:38Speaker 6: caught him both times. He told me that he'd gotten
- 57:42Speaker 6: that out of his system, and since he has a
- 57:45Speaker 6: good woman in parentheses me, he didn't have a reason
- 57:49Speaker 6: to cheat. He's a great lover and provider, and he's cultured.
- 57:55Speaker 6: He asked me to marry him on a Sunday in
- 57:57Speaker 6: front of my mother, and I said yes. By that Wednesday,
- 58:02Speaker 6: I found out he might have another woman that he
- 58:05Speaker 6: was sleeping with, and she said he told her he
- 58:08Speaker 6: wants a future with her. I told her that I'm
- 58:10Speaker 6: engaged to him, and she was surprised. I called him
- 58:14Speaker 6: at work and he said he wanted to talk face
- 58:16Speaker 6: to face. So he picked me up from work and
- 58:20Speaker 6: we drove an hour to the lake and he had
- 58:22Speaker 6: snacks and.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Wine in the car. He told me that the lady
- 58:26Speaker 1: was lying and he thought I was smarter than that.
- 58:29Speaker 6: We made love on a blanket by the lake, and
- 58:32Speaker 6: my heart said that this was my husband. It was
- 58:36Speaker 6: the most romantic day ever. My heart flutters around him.
- 58:41Speaker 6: But I don't think I know him well enough to
- 58:43Speaker 6: marry him. Our wedding is in June, and I love him,
- 58:46Speaker 6: but dot dot dot, I need more time. Are most
- 58:51Speaker 6: people uncertain before the wedding?
- 58:54Speaker 1: Well, a lot are.
- 58:54Speaker 6: I won't say most, but a lot of people are. Yeah,
- 58:57Speaker 6: uncertain before the wedding. But you should be pretty certain though.
- 59:02Speaker 6: Haven't you heard the saying.
- 59:03Speaker 1: When people show you who they are, believe them. I mean,
- 59:06Speaker 1: this man has shown you what he's capable of.
- 59:09Speaker 6: You even said you were afraid of him after he
- 59:12Speaker 6: cursed his wife out like that, but you still didn't
- 59:15Speaker 6: break it off with him. You said he's a good lover. No,
- 59:18Speaker 6: you said he was a great lover and provider. You
- 59:22Speaker 6: know those are wonderful qualities in a man, to be
- 59:25Speaker 6: a great lover, great provider, all of that. But did
- 59:27Speaker 6: you forget did you forget that he cheated on his
- 59:31Speaker 6: wife twice and then that's why they're getting a divorce. Okay,
- 59:35Speaker 6: So whatever you do, you got to get to know
- 59:39Speaker 6: this man. You got to continue that. You may find
- 59:42Speaker 6: out other things that he does. The real hymn is
- 59:45Speaker 6: going to eventually show up. I mean, you know, I
- 59:48Speaker 6: get them the lake and sex by the lake, and
- 59:51Speaker 6: the fruit and the wine and the snacks and all
- 59:54Speaker 6: of that, but you got to listen to your gut.
- 59:57Speaker 6: You obviously can't forget how he acted when he was
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: angry at his first wife, and you're wondering if one
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: day maybe he could do.
- 1:00:04Speaker 11: That to you.
- 1:00:05Speaker 6: Well, he certainly has the capacity for it now, doesn't he.
- 1:00:08Speaker 6: So I suggest to you, guys, go to marriage counseling
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: before getting married, even you know, if you even are
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: still considering taking that step. You guys need some kind
- 1:00:20Speaker 6: of understanding, some kind of guidance. Marriage is one of
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: the biggest things you can do in life, So you
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. Tell
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: him you want to go to marriage counseling first and
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: see how that goes.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Steve, you know what, I happen to agree with everything
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: Shirley said, I do, lady. I just want to add
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: this one thing. I love him. But okay, well, you
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: know my fathers tell me all the time if when
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: you say butt in the gates, everything you said in
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: front of that. So when you're talking to me and
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: you say butt boy, just noted whatever you said before, Oh,
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: don't even apply no more. And that's the case right here.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: But this is a case of intuition. And God gives
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: intuition to women to protect you from the hunter, which
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: is us. See, we have hunting skills, you have intuition,
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: which that which is your safeguard against us. But y'all
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: keep ignoring the intuition because you want to believe your
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: heart instead of your mind. And that's where the problem starts.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: You're thirty year old professional. You're dating a man that
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: just got a divorce. He was still married. When you
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: get mad, y'all ain't go out till he moved out
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: of his house. He was still married but legally separated.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: On your first date, his wife followed him and she
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: made a huge scene in Pulley called you all kind
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: of name. He cuts out so bad you felt bad
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: for her, and you were scared of him. And then
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: you knew in the back of your mind. See here
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: we go, the mind, now the mind. The mind is
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: where the intuition resides, heart is it gets you in trouble.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: Your mind is where that I knew in the back
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: of my mind she would be a problem, and he
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: might one day cuss me out like that if he
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: got mad enough in me when we come back. That
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: has set the toe for the rest of my answer.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: All right, well, understand what I'm right.
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:02:25Speaker 6: twenty three minutes after the hour Today's Strawberry letter subject
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: I love him, but dot dot dot.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: It's Steve Harbin Marley show Man. It might be two
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: birds in that bush, But if you let this bird
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: go to reach in there for the two in the
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: bush and they fly out the bush, you ain't got nothing.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
- 1:02:50Speaker 8: But if it's two and that I having to catch both,
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: wouldn't that be better?
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: See keyword in that was a small word with the smaller,
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: the smallest words with the biggest consequence. If if I
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: robbed this bank, and if they don't catch me, I'm
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: gonna be rich. He Okay, a whole lot of ifs
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: sitting in prison today.
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: Coming up right after that, everybody's your favorite play cousin Junior,
- 1:03:20Speaker 7: we need to talk. You're playing on getting gas at

- 1:03:48Speaker 6: All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter,
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: the subject I love him butt dot dot dot.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: Well, here we go, perfect case of a woman following
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: her heart and ignoring her intuition. Tuition is in your mind.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: Your heart is filled with nothing but emotions. Your heart hurts,
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: your heart bleeds, your heart loves, your heart breaks. All
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: that your mind just thinks and that's where your intuition is.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Stop ignoring it. Ladies, your thirty year old woman dating
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: the man got a divorce. You made him while he
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: was married, but you all didn't go out until he
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: moved out the house. He was still married but legally
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: second separated. Y'all went out on your first date. His
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: wife followed. Y'all made a huge scene, call him all
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: kinds of names. He cussed out. He cuts out so bad.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: You was ashamed for her, but you was scared of him.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: Then here we go. I knew in the back of
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: my mind that she would be a problem and he
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: might one day cuss me out like that if he
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: got mad enough at me. Now you knew this in
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: the back of your mind. That's where your intuition resides.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: But I kept on dating. When he got a divorce,
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: he opened up about how he had cheated on his
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: wife twice. She caught him both times. This dude, this
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: dude can't cheat. He cheated on his wife twice, she
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: caught him both times. Y'all went on one date. She
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: caught y'all. Then this dude's track record for getting caught.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: He you dating somebody real stupid. Now I just want
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: you to know that. You know, he told me that
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: he got that out of his system since he has
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: a good woman and he didn't have a reason to
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: treat cheat. Now here you go. He's a good lover
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: and provider and he's caltured. But he's stupid though. See
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: that's the part you're leaving up. He's a great lover, provider,
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: he's cultured, and he's stupid. He asked me to marry
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: him on Sunday in front of my mama, and I said, yes,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: now it's Sunday.
- 1:05:56Speaker 11: Now.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: By that Wednesday, three days I found out he might
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: have another woman that he was sleeping with and she
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: said he told her that he wants the future with her.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: Wait a minute, his wife busted him twice, y'all went
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: on one date hest she busted y'all, he asked you
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: to marry him on Sunday on Wednesday. You done busted
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: it again. How dumb is this man? Right here? You're
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: dating somebody? That stupid man. He can't cover tracks. He
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: might be a good provider and he might be a
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: good lover, but he's not a good protector. See, you
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: don't know how to protect a woman's feelings. He not
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: gonna guard your heart because he reckless, he's stupid, she said.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: He told her he wants the future with her. I
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: told her, I'm engaged to him. She was surprised, really
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: when y'all engaged called him at work and he said
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: he wanted to talk face to face. See that face
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: to face. That gave him time to get itself together.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: So he picked you up from work and we drove
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: an hour or two a lake, and he had some
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: snacks and wine in the car. Well, it ain't that
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: a good thing? Oh yeah, oh yeah, I'm gonna go
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: fix her all this busting me. I'm gonna get me
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: some crackers and some wine, Gonna get some cheese cheese
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: blocks and cut him up. Don't get me a blank.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna talk to her down here by this lake. Yeah,
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: a good thing. He bought them snacks. He told me
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: that the lady was lying, and he thought I was
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: smarter than that. Wait a minute, if the lady lined,
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: how did you find the lake? What you just you
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: mean to tell me that you pulled a woman's name
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: out of thin air and called her and she just
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: happened to know who he was. No, he told you
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: the lady was lying, and he thought I was smarter
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: than that. You are smarter. You found out Wednesday, right
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: after he asked you to marry him. Sunday, we made
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: love on a blanket by the lake and my heart said,
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: this is my hook and he go, you can here
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: you go there, that's around with your heart. Here your
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: heart go, ladies, here you go. Heart told me, this
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: is my husband. Your brain just had you call a
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: woman out of a note where and bingo, she was
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: having a future with the dude too. So now it's
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: really three chicks that his wife he was cheating on.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: You busted him with one, and the wife then busted
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: him with the two he cheated on, and y'all on
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: your first day now dump is back at it again
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: getting busted. We made love on the blanket by the lake,
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: and my heart said, this is my hubs. It was
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: the most romantic day ever. You need to have some
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: more days. Then, how is this the most romantic day ever?
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: On the day that you found out he was sleeping
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: with somebody else, this is the most romantic day. You
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: need to hear him have some more days. Our wedding
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: is in June. My heart flutters around him, but I
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: don't know him well enough to marry him. Our wedding
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: is in June, and I love him, but I need
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: more time. Why don't you take more time? Ain't nothing
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: to say. You got to get married in June. Call
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: it off so you can find out what you really
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: got and you might find out a whole lot more.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: Are most people uncertain before the wedding? What is you
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: worrying about most people? For you wrote the letter you
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: are you are concerned and you need to be and
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: you need to call this wedding off and get yourself
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: together until you know this man better.

- 1:12:09Speaker 2: You ain't think how that happens?
- 1:12:13Speaker 7: Did you also know this that is not called a
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: soccer field. You cannot say that. It's called a pitch.

- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Does he get to stay out till two am?
- 1:15:47Speaker 11: Though?

- 1:16:10Speaker 1: Let me see there you go with all of that,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: it's flipping it.
- 1:16:14Speaker 6: Let me ask you this, what is the respectable time
- 1:16:16Speaker 6: you think for a husband to come after staying out
- 1:16:20Speaker 6: with his boys.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: I'm three with your boys?
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Man, Okay, Now you can't be coming in when the

- 1:16:55Speaker 6: This is from Porter and Colleen.
- 1:16:57Speaker 11: Uh.
- 1:16:57Speaker 6: Porter says, my my son went to the prom with
- 1:17:01Speaker 6: my buddy's daughter. The girl left the prom and went
- 1:17:04Speaker 6: to hang out with her girlfriends without my son. My
- 1:17:08Speaker 6: buddy said it was my son's responsibility to get the
- 1:17:10Speaker 6: girl home safely. I agree with him, but I think
- 1:17:14Speaker 6: that's a conversation that he should have with his child.
- 1:17:17Speaker 6: Was my son supposed to stop her?
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: Well, listen, if a young man comes to your house
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: to pick up your daughter to take her out, you
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: are allowingness to happen, and you are expecting him to
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: bring her back. Now, whatever happens in the interim, how
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: she wound up with her girlfriends, this was the prom.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: I don't know what happened, but yeah, he should have
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: expected him to bring his daughter back home and when
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: he set it right now, you can't make this little
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: girl do nothing because you ain't her daddy. But now
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: I would have got on the phone when hey, dad,
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: my day doing with these girls. I don't know what
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: to do or or mister Price. Hey, uh, I know,
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: I told you i'd bring her home, but she just
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: went somewhere with the girlfriends and I don't know where
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: she went. So I just want to call and let
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: you know that. That's the thing, right, you know something.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: But you got to get this man his respect because
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: you asked for his daughter's hand go out to the prom.
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and she should communicate with her parents, which was.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: She hello, yeah, hello, she wrong, Hey mama, Look, I'm

- 1:19:01Speaker 6: first date and his date was repeatedly rude to their waitress.
- 1:19:05Speaker 6: The guy was so embarrassed that he went to the
- 1:19:08Speaker 6: manager and the waitress and apologized for his date being
- 1:19:13Speaker 6: so rude. He asked to pay his tab, and he
- 1:19:16Speaker 6: left without returning to the table with his date. The
- 1:19:19Speaker 6: manager informed the rude young woman that her date was over,
- 1:19:22Speaker 6: her tab was paid, and she was free to leave.
- 1:19:26Speaker 6: So the question is was the guy wrong for leaving

- 1:23:36Speaker 1: You not wear your.
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: Man I don't care nothing. I'm put your suit on,
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: going down here his body kit. I'm not wearing no
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: bonnet though.
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: It's definitely not wearing a bonnet at the airport. No,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: all right? Would you rather snitch on a family member
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: or take the rap for them?
- 1:23:56Speaker 13: Oh a, a just gone back. I'm not taking that
- 1:24:02Speaker 13: forrest if you didn't yeah they did, yeah, hell but

- 1:25:17Speaker 1: this Friday.
- 1:25:19Speaker 6: Yes, finally it's here. We love our Fridays and we
- 1:25:24Speaker 6: love our audience, and we thank you for listening.
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: We appreciate you. Jun you have a question for Steve
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: before we get out.
- 1:25:31Speaker 8: Well, yeah, unc man, I want to talk to you
- 1:25:33Speaker 8: about this an.
- 1:25:34Speaker 7: You know you've been through pretty much everything I asked you,
- 1:25:37Speaker 7: That's why you have so much depth about it. But
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: what about how you feel about disobedience to God. I've
- 1:25:44Speaker 7: never heard you speak about that, about how the consequences
- 1:25:48Speaker 7: are when we disobeyed versus when we.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: Just got cause been disobedient. That's why I want you
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: to talk about it. Detail ain't my favorite subject. It's
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: gotten me in the most trouble I've ever been. I don't,
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: I don't. I don't think about disobedience to God. I
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: think about I guess I've never used the word disobedience.
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: I just haven't always followed the letter of the law
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: to the t. But then you know what Junion nobody has.
- 1:26:23Speaker 2: I'll tell you what I have learned about. What are
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: you what you're calling disobedience to God, which I'm calling
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: falling short, which I'm calling getting it wrong? Not being it,
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: not staying on the white line. Nobody has. I'll tell
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: you one thing, man, what people do. Sometimes you beat
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: yourself up a bit too much about not getting it right.
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: When I have to share this news with you. No one.
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: No one gets it right all the time, nobody. I
- 1:26:59Speaker 2: don't know any sin free people, never met one. I
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: thought my mother was I prompt I swear I did.
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: But as I kept getting old and old and older,
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: I realized my mama was a human being too. She
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: had many flaws. I wasn't exposed to her, but she
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: had a mini Nobody gets through this life freely. I
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: hear preachers on it. I mean, I thank God for
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: faith and religion, I really do. But all these different
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: sects of religion. You know, whether it's Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, Jewish, Islam,
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: everybody claims that their way is the right way, when
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: in essence, you don't know how God gonna call this thing.
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: I don't care what interpretation of the Bible you make.
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: You know, somebody could come up with a different interpretation
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: of it. But I do know this, at the end
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: of this whole life, whoever you are, God will be
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: the final judge of the matter. It is not my
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: job to desecrate or degrade or talk about any other
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: faith that's not similar to mine. It's not my job
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: to say it's my way or the highway. That's just
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: not my job. I think there's something in the Bible
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: that says that you shouldn't judge. I'm sure there's something
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: in there that says that. So I try my best
- 1:28:36Speaker 2: to stay out of the judging business, especially when it
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: comes to a person's faith. I know what the Bible says.
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: I know, I've read some things about you know what's
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: expected of us, and that's the faith I have, and
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: that's the one I live by. But guess what. I
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: come short of that a lot, a lot. I come
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: short of that often. And I got news for you,
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: so do you. I don't care who you are. You
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: could put a PhD behind your name. You can come
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: out there in the road with the three bars on
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: the sleeves. You can come out there with a hat
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: on with a tassel going to one side. You can
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: get a bunch of initials after your name, MD, pH D,
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: as K, you can get whatever you want. You gonna
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: come up short. You gonna come up short. You, sir
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: and you madam, are a human being. I don't care
- 1:29:35Speaker 2: what education level you then reached. You gonna come up short.
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: I know you're gonna come up short. And this ain't
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: a knock on education. But you ever seen a person
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: go get a degree and they start working. They found
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: out that degree didn't get them where they wanted them
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: to go, and they go back to school and get
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: another degree and another one. I know some people, man
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: that went back to school four times, got the highest
- 1:30:00Speaker 2: level of PhDs that you can get, thinking it was
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: going to better their life, and it didn't.
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: It didn't.
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: You just paid some more money with school four more
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: years and it didn't make your life better. Which leads
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: me to what I always thought, if you got a
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: degree and it ain't working for you, why would you
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: go get another one of them? Now, I'm not knocking
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: education because it's necessary. And like you got to go
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: to school eight years, you're gonna be a lawyer or
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: a doctor. You in helping people bus you gotta know
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: what you're doing. It's critical that you get this education.
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: It's even more critical, man, critical man, that you keep
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: up with the new things that's coming out in your field,
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: and I'm taking a turn in this conversation, but it's
- 1:30:44Speaker 2: leading me now to this little health thing, and I
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: want to talk to y'all about just for real quick.
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: If you are dealing with a doctor out there, and
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: I'm just gonna say this because I've had to do this,
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: go get yourself a second and a third opinion. Don't
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: take the opinion of one doc. That doctor may have
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: been a doctor for thirty years, but do you know
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: what has happened since he received his degree in medicine,
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: And if he don't stay current and go back to
- 1:31:11Speaker 2: training on different things, some of his information can be outdated.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: Get yourself a second and third opinion, because medical advancests
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: change all the time, and if your doctor ain't keeping
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: up with the changes, he can't advise you. Now he's
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: only advising you about what he knows, but he might
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: not know enough. I was all over the place with
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: dis closing remarks, but that's what I wanted to say,
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: you know why, because I ain't perfect. Have a great day, y'all,
- 1:31:43Speaker 2: talk to God today. He'd absolutely loved to hear from you.
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: And that was a closing remark that was done in
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: complete imperfection and I still like him.
