- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time of y'all don't know. Y'all have

- 0:21Speaker 1: har listening to the movie together for study, I don't
- 0:38Speaker 1: join join me? You doing me hungry? You gotta turn,
- 1:10Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out. You got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out to turn turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your fad uh huh, I shall well
- 2:03Speaker 1: or good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show. Man, If if I had time enough
- 2:14Speaker 1: to tell the whole trip, the whole journey, and y'all
- 2:18Speaker 1: would be sitting up in there going okay to Steve,
- 2:21Speaker 1: are we gonna play the show this week? But man,
- 2:24Speaker 1: it's been a lot of amazing things has happened to
- 2:28Speaker 1: me over the years, and not all of them good.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It's been some amazingly bad things that have happened too.
- 2:39Speaker 1: But I just come on in the morning as a
- 2:41Speaker 1: reminder to everybody of the actual goodness of God that
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, man, that these mistakes that you're making, that
- 2:50Speaker 1: these setbacks that you keep having, that these falls that
- 2:54Speaker 1: keep occurring in your life, that they all are leading
- 2:58Speaker 1: you somewhere. If you just don't ever give up. That's
- 3:03Speaker 1: the key. You can never ever give up because you
- 3:06Speaker 1: don't know how the trip has been laid out for you.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You know, if somebody had told me years ago when
- 3:16Speaker 1: I had the dream of being on TV and then
- 3:18Speaker 1: I thought about being one of one of the best
- 3:21Speaker 1: comedians I could be, you know, when I when I started,
- 3:25Speaker 1: somebody had told me everything that was gonna have to
- 3:30Speaker 1: happen in order for me to get there, I would
- 3:33Speaker 1: have changed it. I would have I would have said, Okay,
- 3:37Speaker 1: well I ain't gonna be that. How about this? See
- 3:40Speaker 1: and no one can know all of the events of
- 3:44Speaker 1: their life ahead of time. You know, it would be
- 3:46Speaker 1: so nice, wouldn't it. You know, to prepare for it,
- 3:49Speaker 1: see it coming, be aware of the haters, always knowing
- 3:55Speaker 1: when the backstabbing moment is coming in your life, always
- 3:59Speaker 1: knowing when you're go get blindsided by the enemy. We
- 4:01Speaker 1: are really great to know that, wouldn't it. Well, that's
- 4:04Speaker 1: not how it works. So since no one knows exactly
- 4:11Speaker 1: the challenges and the pitfalls and the detools, that's going
- 4:15Speaker 1: to be set them. It's it's it's imperative that you
- 4:19Speaker 1: just don't give up because see, knowing these things, we
- 4:26Speaker 1: as human beings by nature, would choose another route. But
- 4:30Speaker 1: it ain't the route God God for you, though. See
- 4:33Speaker 1: the route God God for you. If you if you're
- 4:36Speaker 1: trying to do the right thing, if you're doing the
- 4:39Speaker 1: best you can, if you ain't out here just intentionally
- 4:42Speaker 1: just messing over, folks, if you're using faith, and that's
- 4:47Speaker 1: the belief in things that you cannot see. If you
- 4:50Speaker 1: have something on the inside of you to keep saying
- 4:52Speaker 1: there's got to be more to life than that, then
- 4:55Speaker 1: that's that's you. You, my friend, have a great chance here.
- 5:00Speaker 1: And if you've ever had that feeling then gave up
- 5:03Speaker 1: on it, just get it back, just ask for it back,
- 5:07Speaker 1: Just say, hey, man, I'm getting back to the way
- 5:09Speaker 1: I used to be because there's a change that's available
- 5:13Speaker 1: in your life. But you gotta take it. You gotta
- 5:16Speaker 1: take a shot at it. Folks. There's a chance for
- 5:18Speaker 1: you to get it right, but you gotta take a
- 5:21Speaker 1: shot at it. Folks. There's a chance for you to
- 5:23Speaker 1: turn this whole thing around with God's help, but you
- 5:27Speaker 1: gotta take a shot at it. You see, this decision
- 5:31Speaker 1: is yours. The decision to lay down and give up,
- 5:34Speaker 1: that's yours. It ain't. It just got too hard for me.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Life too much, man, life hard and too much for everybody.
- 5:41Speaker 1: What I gotta get you to see? My father used
- 5:44Speaker 1: to always tell me, It says son, best lessons in
- 5:47Speaker 1: life to burn your value and learn the most is
- 5:49Speaker 1: a balt lesson. I didn't quite understand that being young,
- 5:54Speaker 1: but I showed God it Now ain't no lesson like
- 5:57Speaker 1: a bout lesson, the one you pay for. Those are
- 6:00Speaker 1: the ones that hold to you, that stick to you,
- 6:03Speaker 1: that that started turning you into who you're gonna be.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Those are the character builders. See, you got to be
- 6:10Speaker 1: forged to get to where you want to go in life.
- 6:13Speaker 1: So that's what the challenges and missteps is for. That's
- 6:16Speaker 1: what the failing is about. Now, I know you don't
- 6:19Speaker 1: like it. I didn't. I know you're not comfortable without
- 6:22Speaker 1: I wouldn't. I know you wish it was over sooner
- 6:25Speaker 1: than later. I always do. I always wanted to be
- 6:28Speaker 1: over sooner than later, because the later manager seems like
- 6:32Speaker 1: it's so much I gotta go through. But let me
- 6:35Speaker 1: tell you something man if you can, if you can
- 6:39Speaker 1: forge your way through it and understand that you are
- 6:42Speaker 1: forged in life. I don't know. I was on TBN
- 6:46Speaker 1: one time when I was doing one of my motivational speeches,
- 6:51Speaker 1: and I began to wonder about this experience I had.
- 6:54Speaker 1: It Ford Motor Company and my last job after the
- 6:58Speaker 1: auto industry started going down, my last job was in
- 7:01Speaker 1: the fountry and my job was to stand at the
- 7:06Speaker 1: end almost where the engines first come out of the furnace. See,
- 7:12Speaker 1: the engines are poured into a mold. It's hot, melted
- 7:16Speaker 1: down metal whatever they call it, lava or whatever. They
- 7:18Speaker 1: poured into a mole and it goes into this furnace
- 7:22Speaker 1: that's extremely hot. And my job was after the heat
- 7:27Speaker 1: was applied to the engine block, it would come through
- 7:32Speaker 1: and it would go through a hardening stage. But the
- 7:34Speaker 1: way it was hardening, they would cool it. Suddenly they
- 7:38Speaker 1: would flush it with water. It was just blast water
- 7:40Speaker 1: on it. But the fire and the high temperature is
- 7:45Speaker 1: what made the engine block solidified. It's because it's gotta
- 7:50Speaker 1: get real hot, get melted down first, then it's got
- 7:53Speaker 1: to get poured into a mole. Then it's gotta be pressure,
- 7:57Speaker 1: hit with water and all of this, and then it
- 8:00Speaker 1: can and it's real hot. Now it's still hot even
- 8:02Speaker 1: though it's water been shutter. But when it comes out
- 8:05Speaker 1: the end of the side, there's a lot of flashing
- 8:08Speaker 1: in it. And flashing is a metal from that ton
- 8:10Speaker 1: dripped through the cast molding on it, just like flecks
- 8:14Speaker 1: of extra pieces of metal. My job was to hit
- 8:18Speaker 1: this engine block in the front, which is huge, heavy
- 8:23Speaker 1: rubber mallet, knock all the flashing off the front, and
- 8:27Speaker 1: when it came around back to bam, hit it real
- 8:30Speaker 1: hard again on the backside. And that became the core
- 8:36Speaker 1: of what the car is. A car without a great
- 8:39Speaker 1: engine is nothing. It's just a pretty looking vehicle over there.
- 8:43Speaker 1: But if it can't do what it was made to
- 8:45Speaker 1: do because the engine block then cracked. So you can
- 8:48Speaker 1: have a car look real good, but if it freezes,
- 8:50Speaker 1: an engine block crack your car, you could it's over man.
- 8:53Speaker 1: You gotta get a new block. The block is the core.
- 8:56Speaker 1: But in order for you for the car to do
- 8:59Speaker 1: what it's got to do, it's got to have a
- 9:00Speaker 1: strong engine in it. In order for the engine to
- 9:02Speaker 1: be strong, it's got to be forged and steell come
- 9:06Speaker 1: through fire, get poured in a mole, cooled off, heated,
- 9:10Speaker 1: knocked around, beat on the front end, beat on the
- 9:13Speaker 1: back end, in order for it to be what it's
- 9:15Speaker 1: gonna be. The moral of the story, folks, is you
- 9:18Speaker 1: got to get forged in fire to be what you
- 9:21Speaker 1: gonna be. You got to get beat up, you got
- 9:24Speaker 1: to get pressure washed, you got to have heat on you,
- 9:27Speaker 1: you gotta get melted down, you gotta get poured into
- 9:30Speaker 1: a mole. That's how you become who you are. So
- 9:34Speaker 1: the tough things that you're going through, the difficult challenges
- 9:37Speaker 1: and the setbacks. I know a brother who went to prison, man,
- 9:40Speaker 1: And the whole reason he ended up going to prison
- 9:43Speaker 1: because he was looking out the loot window, looking out
- 9:45Speaker 1: in the yard at him working out. And then the
- 9:48Speaker 1: next thing, you know, man, this brother decided that he
- 9:50Speaker 1: was gonna go out there and work out. Well, guess what,
- 9:54Speaker 1: he's one of the top trainers in country. Today you're listening,
- 10:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. Good morning, boys and girls. Man, have
- 10:04Speaker 1: your attention please today's show. It's dedicated to all Paltry
- 10:12Speaker 1: employee churches, KFC, Popeye, El Poy, Local Right and Tropical Delight.
- 10:28Speaker 1: That's Florida. Things like oh and Ween stop even though
- 10:33Speaker 1: they don't do four chicken parts. You are in the
- 10:37Speaker 1: Paltry distribution. Big congratulations to all of you today. We're
- 10:42Speaker 1: dedicating today's show to all Paltry employees of all kinds.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Thank you. Thank you for the join that you've given up.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Thank you for the motivation, thank you for the way
- 10:54Speaker 1: I feel sometime when I'm driving down the street and
- 10:57Speaker 1: I see that sign. What it means to me. This
- 11:01Speaker 1: is for the chicken lover in you. Yeah, this is
- 11:07Speaker 1: for the wing. This is for the wing and you, dude, dude,
- 11:15Speaker 1: this is the This is for the wing, and you
- 11:20Speaker 1: will make a song out of it, because that's that's
- 11:22Speaker 1: my soul. Boy. We are authentic soul. Bro song right,
- 11:28Speaker 1: we go right in it. Name it, sing it, we
- 11:31Speaker 1: deeply name first and sing it so committed love soul.
- 11:37Speaker 1: You will never let it die. Have no reason to
- 11:40Speaker 1: buy a lucy name it, sing it. That's deep right there,
- 11:44Speaker 1: No no, no, no reason to buy a new still
- 11:47Speaker 1: playing albums. Dog ain't downloaded nothing now the tables, man
- 11:56Speaker 1: boarded vibes, little thing in the middle, with the little
- 12:00Speaker 1: thing with the look. Man, I just downloaded common Commodores
- 12:06Speaker 1: and followed you, Yeah, what's your favorite commodores? Jam? It
- 12:12Speaker 1: may sound funny, man, I just can't man. The pain
- 12:20Speaker 1: I'm leaving you to my room seems to me. Girl.
- 12:28Speaker 1: You know, I don't know. I can't And every damn
- 12:34Speaker 1: you see your big store that I buy room. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 12:42Speaker 1: you know Jimmies my favorite commodore song nos one? Maybe
- 12:52Speaker 1: just the food this dream. Yeah, but I don't care,
- 13:02Speaker 1: m because I know my happiness is waiting for me somewhere. M.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I'm searching for that seal lines criss that I never see.
- 13:28Speaker 1: We got Well, I wish the way they called coming
- 13:33Speaker 1: up something funny? They who coming up? You don't like
- 13:42Speaker 1: you're listening show? All right, it is time for something funny, guys.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And you know people are getting ready for work right now,
- 13:49Speaker 1: probably and uh maybe they're making their own lunch. You
- 13:53Speaker 1: know people do that at home. Well, Steve, it turns
- 13:55Speaker 1: out that eighteen percent of people have admitted to eating
- 13:59Speaker 1: some one else's lunch at the office. One worker's live
- 14:03Speaker 1: tweeting of the mystery of a co worker stolen shrimp
- 14:05Speaker 1: fried rice was retweeted over one hundred and seventy three
- 14:10Speaker 1: thousand times. Okay. Uh And while you may think it's funny,
- 14:16Speaker 1: and it is kind of funny, I mean when you
- 14:18Speaker 1: think about it, um, you know, getting away with eating
- 14:20Speaker 1: someone else's meal, it actually could have some serious consequences
- 14:24Speaker 1: on the job. People don't forget stuff like this, and
- 14:27Speaker 1: you see these people every single day. This is according
- 14:30Speaker 1: to a human resource expert. It becomes a trust issue.
- 14:35Speaker 1: So Steve, I have to ask you. I know you
- 14:38Speaker 1: did it office lunches, novel in my life, taking somebody's food,
- 14:48Speaker 1: because I ain't that way, I don't. I don't know you.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Oh so you don't know what kind of home they
- 14:52Speaker 1: have at? How clean? Right now? Two things I have done, Okay,
- 14:56Speaker 1: I've had mine taken. Yeah, I've called a person what happened?
- 15:03Speaker 1: And I've had I've seen a person taking a person's look. Okay,
- 15:08Speaker 1: well what happened when someone took Both these is now
- 15:11Speaker 1: situations I used to my advantage. Yeah, this see not
- 15:17Speaker 1: you don't want this out, So now I need a
- 15:20Speaker 1: couple of favors. No, dog, I mean, look, I saw
- 15:27Speaker 1: you because I'm real observing. Y'all know that about me.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I'm extremely observing. So I'm watching this dude steal this
- 15:34Speaker 1: dude food and the dude food he was still he's deceased.
- 15:37Speaker 1: His name is James Paradise and we worked at General
- 15:40Speaker 1: Electric and this dude was taking Jared Jane paradig leka
- 15:43Speaker 1: Jaka cook his ass off and he was just eating
- 15:46Speaker 1: James lunch every night and then and I caught him. Now,
- 15:49Speaker 1: if I tell this to James Paradise, dog, I'm talking
- 15:53Speaker 1: about you've been to get drug out in the parking
- 15:55Speaker 1: lot and when you come back in, you're gonna need
- 15:57Speaker 1: to show the people that to do your id. You know,
- 16:02Speaker 1: like sandwiches. You know James cook ribs, he take his ribs.
- 16:07Speaker 1: You know he made pork shoulders sandwich. He should bring
- 16:10Speaker 1: it in to work for everybody. He stole his pork
- 16:12Speaker 1: shoulders sandwich and James was getting upset. So I saw
- 16:16Speaker 1: him take James stuff. It was his young white dude
- 16:20Speaker 1: that was still in the food because he was single,
- 16:24Speaker 1: and you know he wouldn't bring no lunch, had the
- 16:26Speaker 1: times a stupid had boy. So I told him, I say, man,
- 16:31Speaker 1: you know, if Jane find out you want taking his lunch, man,
- 16:33Speaker 1: you know what's gonna happen to you cheese. Wait what chee? Yeah,
- 16:45Speaker 1: that's what I need. See. Once I hit that fear
- 16:47Speaker 1: in your voice, then I got your ass because all jeez,
- 16:51Speaker 1: it's not a hood turn he said. Ah. I said,
- 16:57Speaker 1: look hold on, man, this ain't got gonna wear snap.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Look the distant stay right here. But I'm need a
- 17:03Speaker 1: couple of favors. Man. Now I'm gonna leave early Wednesday.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I need you to cover my job. See, not a
- 17:15Speaker 1: problem with me, Steve. It's mister Harvey. Harvey. No, no,
- 17:24Speaker 1: you're gonna put some speck on my name. I was
- 17:27Speaker 1: the original birds Many, So you're gonna put some speck
- 17:32Speaker 1: on my name. And so I had him cover cover
- 17:36Speaker 1: my job like three times for that. Then I saw
- 17:40Speaker 1: a dude take my lunch. This is a black dude
- 17:45Speaker 1: had it just got hired and he hadn't completed his
- 17:48Speaker 1: ninety day probation. Now if I report this, you ain't
- 17:52Speaker 1: gonna get the job. Oh man, I'm so sorry. I
- 17:56Speaker 1: thought it was mine. Out of hell. Your name ain't
- 17:59Speaker 1: Steve Gregory. It's Gregory. Now. Your name Frederick D. Stev
- 18:10Speaker 1: Get confused with Frederick right right? So I said, so Frederick,
- 18:13Speaker 1: look here, man, I'm just need a couple of favors
- 18:16Speaker 1: from the man. Now I'm gonna come in late. I
- 18:20Speaker 1: need you to punch my time clock when you get
- 18:23Speaker 1: at the gate, punch my time clock from me. Hit
- 18:27Speaker 1: me in. Oh that's that's that's that's not a problem.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Now listen to me. They have a camera aimed at
- 18:35Speaker 1: the time clock, so you gotta put your back to
- 18:38Speaker 1: the camera. So he did it the first time. How
- 18:41Speaker 1: do you know all of this? Come on, no, no, no,
- 18:46Speaker 1: excuse me, excuse me, time hula. I was never a thug.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Hula hulam was crime with a purpose, with respect. Thugs
- 18:57Speaker 1: just out here doing stuff, thus stupid crimes with a purpose.
- 19:04Speaker 1: And it was always to better uplift one cell, yes
- 19:08Speaker 1: at the expensive Yeah. And so that's what I had
- 19:13Speaker 1: him do so I could leave early caused it a
- 19:16Speaker 1: little white dude, and I could come in late causing
- 19:20Speaker 1: Frederick Wow. So I had him a nice little set up. Yeah.
- 19:25Speaker 1: And then meanwhile at school he was you know hall
- 19:29Speaker 1: passes huzzling. Yeah, y'all need passes to be late in
- 19:34Speaker 1: this hallway? Who name you put on it? See my
- 19:37Speaker 1: name was never on a hall pass, So I ain't't
- 19:39Speaker 1: need you talking about you got it from Steve because
- 19:41Speaker 1: I ain't got no hall pass because I had told
- 19:46Speaker 1: her back off my locker. Anyway, Yeah, and so I
- 19:49Speaker 1: kept my seat. I told her back off my locker.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I don't get that. People have the hall bent down
- 19:56Speaker 1: and I put on my step behind. So if you
- 19:58Speaker 1: open my locking, I ain't never had nothing. Oh I
- 20:01Speaker 1: get okay, So steal gave you a hap. How the
- 20:05Speaker 1: hell I got hall passed? I'm in class, not learning.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I'm here, mister days in high school? Two cut days
- 20:18Speaker 1: all ever did? Man? Oh? Wow, see your life has
- 20:23Speaker 1: been incredible, been wonderful, It really really has really Thank
- 20:28Speaker 1: you and look at you now? Look at you now,
- 20:31Speaker 1: I mean steal hustling? Are you? Are you still a hoodler? No?
- 20:36Speaker 1: I no, I don't do crime. I had a little running,
- 20:42Speaker 1: had a little running in the kind of straighten me out.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Coming up next, it's the nephew with run that prank back.
- 20:49Speaker 1: You're listening, nephew Tommy is here with us with a
- 20:56Speaker 1: run that prank back. What you got for us? Now
- 20:58Speaker 1: call them? Yes, Oh, triosity bringing triosity. I'm gonna get married.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Come on, hello, hello, I'm trying to reach Marvin Police. Yes,
- 21:16Speaker 1: speaking Marvin High. I'm calling you from doctor's office. I'm
- 21:19Speaker 1: actually the lab technician. Um and you you came in
- 21:22Speaker 1: and I got it physical. I guess about a couple
- 21:24Speaker 1: of weeks ago. Yeah, okay, and my understanding this is
- 21:27Speaker 1: for your for your occupation correct, Yeah, okay, you're what
- 21:31Speaker 1: do you do for a living when you're a h Okay?
- 21:35Speaker 1: Now I was giving you a call about I'm here
- 21:37Speaker 1: looking at your records and all the testings that you
- 21:40Speaker 1: actually went through. Um wow, let's see have you had
- 21:44Speaker 1: any Have you had any activity or any problems around
- 21:47Speaker 1: your naval area? No? Fine, okay. It was saying, all right, yeah,
- 21:54Speaker 1: everything's fine. But I mean if you haven't had any
- 21:57Speaker 1: any type of nothing, no breakout or anything around on
- 22:00Speaker 1: your navel or whatsoever. Na about my navel? Now everything's
- 22:05Speaker 1: going straight, man, Okay, to see what's going on? Man?
- 22:09Speaker 1: What's happening? Okay? Actually, you've been diagnosed with um oak
- 22:13Speaker 1: triositis and oristriosti is actually a fungus that comes out
- 22:18Speaker 1: of South America and you have no activity whatsoever around
- 22:22Speaker 1: your navel. Name it's otriositis, sir. And what what that
- 22:31Speaker 1: is is actually you're you're if you haven't had it yet,
- 22:34Speaker 1: you say you haven't had any activity. There's gonna be
- 22:36Speaker 1: like a small little tree that's gonna be growing from
- 22:39Speaker 1: your navel and it gets about six inches long and
- 22:43Speaker 1: it probably bears about probably about twenty five to thirty
- 22:45Speaker 1: leaves on it, but it's very small. You see a
- 22:49Speaker 1: tree gonna be growing out my name, It's gonna be
- 22:52Speaker 1: a small tree. And Uh, what's gonna happen is I'm
- 22:55Speaker 1: gonna have to get you to come back in, probably
- 22:57Speaker 1: in the next month. We're gonna need you to come
- 22:58Speaker 1: in so we can check it out. But it's got

- 25:06Speaker 1: I understand what you're going through, but we have to
- 25:09Speaker 1: let it grow. It's full term, which is four weeks, sir,
- 25:12Speaker 1: the full root of it, and to grow. Man, I
- 25:14Speaker 1: ain't something roll man, I'm gonna go down right, nah Man,

- 26:48Speaker 1: I'm hearing what you're saying, but I can't do anything

- 33:03Speaker 1: Miss Anne Tripp, and this is Antrip with the News.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody. This is Antrip with the News. Mayor
- 33:12Speaker 1: is from more than twenty two hundred cities, including El
- 33:14Speaker 1: Paso and Dayton, are urging members of the Republican dominated
- 33:17Speaker 1: Senate to cut their summer recess short and return to
- 33:20Speaker 1: Capitol Hill to take up gun safety legislation. And a
- 33:23Speaker 1: letter to Senate leader Miss McConnell, the mayors say the
- 33:25Speaker 1: country can no longer wait for Washington to take the
- 33:28Speaker 1: measures necessary to reduce the risk of having firearms ending
- 33:31Speaker 1: up in the wrong hands, but McConnell says no for now.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Up till now. Though McConnell's resisted calls to bring up
- 33:38Speaker 1: a House bill that would expand background checks and stuff,
- 33:40Speaker 1: he says the Senate will take that up though in September.
- 33:43Speaker 1: A nonprofit group meanwhile, says that in just the last
- 33:46Speaker 1: month get this, there have been more than thirty mass
- 33:49Speaker 1: shootings in the US in which hundreds of people have
- 33:51Speaker 1: been injured or killed. In just the last month, there's
- 33:55Speaker 1: been more violence as time in Orange County, California, police
- 33:57Speaker 1: say a thirty three year old man accused of stabbing
- 34:00Speaker 1: people to death in a rampage across the cities of
- 34:02Speaker 1: Garden Grove and Santa Anna, if she will say. They
- 34:04Speaker 1: don't know for sure why the suspect, Zachary Castanado, went
- 34:07Speaker 1: on his bloody stabbing spree, because he didn't even know
- 34:10Speaker 1: the people that he did he killed apparently. The Garden
- 34:14Speaker 1: Grove Police Lieutenant Carl Whitney says, there are two survivors.
- 34:18Speaker 1: We have two surviving victims, a female that bravely fought
- 34:22Speaker 1: this suspect. She sustained numerous stab wounds, but she's going
- 34:26Speaker 1: to survive. And then we had the mail the Chevron
- 34:28Speaker 1: gas station who had his nose nearly severed off and
- 34:32Speaker 1: he also received the stab wound into his back. He's
- 34:35Speaker 1: going to survive. Kenna. Whitney says this is one of
- 34:37Speaker 1: the worst violent attacks in recent Orange County history, and
- 34:40Speaker 1: now local and federal authorities in Wayne County, Ohio are
- 34:43Speaker 1: investigating an explosion that level the house where an interracial
- 34:46Speaker 1: couple lived. Someone scroll racist graffiti near the rubble. Luckily
- 34:50Speaker 1: that couple was away at the time. Meanwhile, the second
- 34:53Speaker 1: anniversary of the anti racist demonstration in Charlettesville, Virginia's coming up.
- 34:57Speaker 1: A new group of coalition called Changed the Terms is
- 35:00Speaker 1: pressuring Twitter to ban white supremacists from its media platform.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Activist Don Gathers explains, we went through two years ago
- 35:07Speaker 1: here in Charlottesville was directly organized through Twitter, and some
- 35:11Speaker 1: members of Changed the Terms or even trying to get
- 35:13Speaker 1: Twitter to suspend President Trump's account. Doubt that's going to happen.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Andrew McKay, the acting FBI director who authorized the probe
- 35:19Speaker 1: and to President Trump's ties to Russia and possible instruction
- 35:22Speaker 1: of justice, filed the lawsuit against the Bureau and the
- 35:25Speaker 1: Justice Department a legend that he was illegally demoted and
- 35:28Speaker 1: fired as part of a plot by Trump to get
- 35:30Speaker 1: rid of people who were not politically loyal to him.
- 35:33Speaker 1: McKay was fired a little more than twenty four hours
- 35:35Speaker 1: before he was set to retire, and that cost him
- 35:37Speaker 1: a significant number of retirement benefits, and he says that
- 35:40Speaker 1: was vindictive and on purpose. He wants his job reinstated.
- 35:43Speaker 1: He wants his retirement benefits also, and hundreds of close
- 35:46Speaker 1: to seven hundred workers who were detained by immigration agents
- 35:50Speaker 1: and seven plants in Mississippi this week had been released.
- 35:53Speaker 1: They're going to receive orders though, to appear for an
- 35:55Speaker 1: immigration judge today, National Beer Day. That's the Steve Harvey

- 36:20Speaker 1: email and I have to put so much money off

- 52:41Speaker 1: got it for you. It is the Strawberry Letter. All right. Subject,
- 52:46Speaker 1: Me and my man have a little situation. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 52:51Speaker 1: I met a gentleman seven months ago. I'm forty five
- 52:55Speaker 1: and he's thirty seven. When we met, he lived three
- 52:58Speaker 1: hours away, so he decided to move to my area.
- 53:02Speaker 1: It's been four months now since since we've been in
- 53:04Speaker 1: the same city, and I'm starting to see issues with him.
- 53:08Speaker 1: He didn't have a plan in place when he moved
- 53:11Speaker 1: to my city and now he's living in a shelter
- 53:14Speaker 1: because I told him he cannot live with me. He
- 53:17Speaker 1: doesn't have a car, and I refuse to drive him around.
- 53:20Speaker 1: He does have a job. In fact, he's had three
- 53:24Speaker 1: different jobs since he's been here. He has been fired
- 53:27Speaker 1: from each job because he has an issue with the
- 53:29Speaker 1: way people talk to him. See, he has issues with
- 53:34Speaker 1: being short. He is only five three. I'm out out break,
- 53:43Speaker 1: so I'm not going to do this. Let me just
- 53:46Speaker 1: say thank you, Jeeves. I told you you were gonna
- 53:50Speaker 1: love it, and I asked you enough you to stick around.
- 53:54Speaker 1: I'm going to the break room. We're a team, all right. Team.
- 53:58Speaker 1: He has issues with being short. He's only five three.
- 54:03Speaker 1: I am five two, so his height doesn't bother me,
- 54:06Speaker 1: but it bothers him. He has short patience with people.
- 54:11Speaker 1: I believe he's been abused by a woman before because
- 54:14Speaker 1: he always thinks I'm talking down to him and belittling him.
- 54:18Speaker 1: I jokingly push these issues to the side, but it's
- 54:21Speaker 1: getting old. I'm getting to the point where I want
- 54:24Speaker 1: to end this relationship. Can I help him overcome this
- 54:28Speaker 1: or should I just let him work through his own
- 54:30Speaker 1: problems alone? Please help turn me get back. I tell
- 54:40Speaker 1: you you're gonna love this, and you're welcome by the way.
- 54:43Speaker 1: You're welcome. Listen. You may not have a problem with
- 54:46Speaker 1: his height, but he certainly does, and you got to
- 54:50Speaker 1: let him work it out on his own. There are
- 54:52Speaker 1: things that you can help help him do. I don't know.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Maybe take him to therapy so he can deal with
- 54:57Speaker 1: it that way. But there's nothing you can do his
- 55:00Speaker 1: problem with his height. You cannot change people. You cannot
- 55:04Speaker 1: change him. You've only known him for seven months. It
- 55:08Speaker 1: made me think, did you see him before you guys
- 55:11Speaker 1: you know, got together. But I guess you did because
- 55:14Speaker 1: you would have said that if you didn't. But now
- 55:16Speaker 1: he's moved. You guys didn't talk about what was going
- 55:19Speaker 1: to happen, where he was going to live, whether or
- 55:21Speaker 1: not he had a car. You guys didn't discuss any
- 55:23Speaker 1: of that before he moved to the same city. How
- 55:27Speaker 1: can he's had three jobs since he's been there. He's
- 55:30Speaker 1: only been there what four months? He has an issue
- 55:33Speaker 1: with the way people talk to him. This is crazy.
- 55:36Speaker 1: These are things that he has to deal with on
- 55:38Speaker 1: his own, and he's probably been dealing with for the
- 55:41Speaker 1: majority of his adult life. You don't care because he's
- 55:44Speaker 1: still taller than you at five two. So I don't
- 55:48Speaker 1: know if you're gonna be able to help him overcome
- 55:52Speaker 1: this because he's got to do it first. The only
- 55:55Speaker 1: thing you can do is to be there to support him. Yeah,
- 55:58Speaker 1: he's gonna have to work through these problems alone. Um,
- 56:01Speaker 1: I don't know if this relationship is going to last
- 56:04Speaker 1: because he can't keep a job. He lives in a shelter.
- 56:07Speaker 1: I mean, you know, and you want him to do better,
- 56:10Speaker 1: I'm sure, but he can't because of he has a
- 56:13Speaker 1: problem with being little. You know, he needs counseling. I
- 56:16Speaker 1: think Steve where now uncle Steve the fat boy is
- 56:24Speaker 1: the time good advice. This is not the time to
- 56:27Speaker 1: be funny and be rude and stuff. Okay, just please
- 56:30Speaker 1: don't start it out, Steve, as dear Tommy, don't suppo.
- 56:33Speaker 1: I'm the one to get stupid Steve and say, wait,
- 56:40Speaker 1: now this lady met this man. Y'all need to let
- 56:43Speaker 1: me down, let me go. Don't let me down, I
- 56:45Speaker 1: promise you by los y'all let him down. I'm farted
- 56:49Speaker 1: five years old. He thirty seven. Let me down right now,
- 56:54Speaker 1: he showed, he downed eight years he already he now
- 57:02Speaker 1: he's eight years shout he already and equated this the inches.
- 57:08Speaker 1: You can believe that you farted five thirty seven. When
- 57:12Speaker 1: we met, he lived three hours away, so he decided
- 57:17Speaker 1: to move to my area. It's been four moost now
- 57:19Speaker 1: since we've been in the same city. Here's a line
- 57:23Speaker 1: in this letter that really amazes me. I'm starting to
- 57:26Speaker 1: see issues with him, really, So here we go. He
- 57:33Speaker 1: didn't have a plan in place when he moved to
- 57:35Speaker 1: my city. He now living in a shelter. Your man
- 57:40Speaker 1: that you dating, the one that moved to your city,
- 57:45Speaker 1: is now living in the shelter. So when you go by,
- 57:51Speaker 1: pop in to see him. How's that working for you?
- 57:55Speaker 1: Where you sin at the shelter? Little man ain't got
- 58:05Speaker 1: no home. Oh you can get in my house. Listen
- 58:09Speaker 1: to me. Tiny houses they got this boy could have
- 58:18Speaker 1: had a place by now Tiny House Nation is on TV.
- 58:26Speaker 1: We'll let part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 58:28Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 58:34Speaker 1: A right, Steve, come on part two your response. Now,
- 58:37Speaker 1: I left y'all with this woman dating this shout man. Yeah,
- 58:40Speaker 1: me and my man have a little situation. Yeah, Now
- 58:43Speaker 1: she five, he fired three, she fired two, So that
- 58:46Speaker 1: don't bother her. It's an eight year difference in him
- 58:51Speaker 1: because she farty five, he thirty seven. Now he'd have
- 58:55Speaker 1: moved into town, but he ain't got no plan. She
- 58:58Speaker 1: won't let him live with him, so he lived in
- 58:59Speaker 1: a shelter. I was just wondering how it is for
- 59:03Speaker 1: her when she stopped by. How you gonna see your
- 59:06Speaker 1: man at a shelter where you sick? What she ended
- 59:09Speaker 1: the bed? He's yours because one thing I know from
- 59:13Speaker 1: being a homeless, you can't sit on another homeless person. Stuff.
- 59:16Speaker 1: You're bet not. That's rule number one. That's all late got.
- 59:23Speaker 1: You don't touch my grocery car, You don't put your
- 59:27Speaker 1: hand on my duck tape, you don't get away from
- 59:31Speaker 1: this blanket. He doesn't have a job, he doesn't have
- 59:36Speaker 1: a car, and I refuse to drive him around. So
- 59:40Speaker 1: now he just trying to walk around him little last leg.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Well he does have a job, Well excuse him. He
- 59:46Speaker 1: got a job, but he ain't got no car. You refuse.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Now he got to trot everywhere. In fact, Tina had
- 59:54Speaker 1: three different jobs since he'd been here. He's been fried
- 59:56Speaker 1: from me job because he has an issue with the
- 59:59Speaker 1: way ain't people talk to him? And old Lord, how
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: many times have we run into this? You wrote the
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: right show because we are dealing with this ourselves, and
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: I want to thank you for the opportunity to give
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: us to vent some of the things that we've been
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: going through. Because we got somebody on this show that
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: has an issue with the way people talk to him.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: He stayed touching, he urgy all the damn time. Some
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: always wrong, He always offended. See, he has an issue
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: with being short thing junior, wouldn't you have an issue
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: with being short of you? Five foot three? Now? She says,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: so his height doesn't bother me, but it bothers him.
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: He has short patience with people. What you want him
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: to have long patience, he don't. He don't like nobody
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: because he urgy he always assumed it's about his height.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: He produced the thought that we had to produce on
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: this show. If you throw a rock in a pack
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: of dogs, wonder Holly's the one you hit. Every time
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: we mentioned height on this show, we got one person
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: jump to conclusion that we're talking about him even when
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: we not, like right now, I can bet you he
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: think we talked about his ass right now now, She says,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: I believe that he's been abused by a woman before
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: because he always think I'm talking down to him. That's
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: because the women he dated was taller. They was talking
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: down to him. It happens to Tommy, excuse me, it
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: happens to this person we refer to all the time
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: I'm talking. That's kind of slipped out now. I believe
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: he's been abused by a woman because they always think
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: I'm talking down him. I jokingly pushed these issues to
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: the side, but he's getting old. I'm getting to the
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: port where I want to end this relationship. Can I
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: help him overcome this? I want to answer that for
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: you in just a second. Or should I just let
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: him work through his own problems alone? Can I help
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: him overcome this? No? You cannot, No, you cannot. This
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: person can be fifty. You ain't gonna be able to
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: help them, because that's a big number. He thirty seven.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: I'd have seen this go all the way up to
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: at least I know fifty fifty for damn sure, we
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: ain't been able to help him yet. Or should you
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: let him work through his own problems alone? He can't.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: He has no answers for this because he touches all
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: the damn time. It's all ways about him. Little people
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: got big issues, little man, short patients, they got shot legs,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: they got short arms. They send up everything. Thing a
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: bottom is show but one thing by sharp people. They
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: get a job though I don't care what nobody say.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: They always working. I'm surprised why he had a shlter
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: shelter at five three. He could easily sign off for
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: foster killer, but he could be in somebody's house. Get
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: the Yeah, he can get in the house because he
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: shocked And once again, why is he out of work
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: and ain't got nowhere to stay? Why is he in
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: a shelter? Listen? I was watching tiny houses the other day,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Tiny house Nation. This be like a mansion for him.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Matter of fact. You take this little lass house and
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: you rename it. You can call it like a shatau
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: or something. Give it a big name and it be
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: just for little people. Wow. See that's how you do it.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: That's a little house, and give it a big name. See,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: you ain't gotta call it tiny house? Calling the shot
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: down all of the rooms with pompout, lift up a
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: lead that was a cupboard for clothes and stuff. It's
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: a bathtub, you understand. You climb up stairs for storage
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: and a little loft. You move that stuff out the way.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: It's a bunk bab man. The stove and the tarlet
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: is the same thing. What I can't go with you
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: on that one noss for tiny house and shurely you
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: ain't got too because you have a home. All right, Steve,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: we gotta get out of here. You can email us
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: or Instagram. That's your thoughts on today's Strawberry letter at

- 1:07:35Speaker 1: promised for All I said was so Jay explains. It's
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: very simple. But if you if you're in a relationship
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: or been in a relationship, there's things that you have said,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: just little statements. Next thing you know, you're in a
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: full blown argument. Yeah, just just out of nowhere. I like.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: All I said was all I said? It was what
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: would I do with the money if I want a
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: lottery m And I said, you know I said this,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: I say that. Then all of a sudden, I'm We're
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: in an argument. We have a full argument. O't make
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: believe money? You know what I'm saying right now? Sometime
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: you know I'm the uni. Yeah, been there still in there?
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: Something that you know? All I said was, you know,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: if I ever meet beyond what she knew the rest
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: of the statement, and I meant it. That's what I meant.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: If I met Beyonce, Hey, you know she allowed me
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: to date husband. That's all I said. Tell me, you
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: got what you want to know? What I said, Joe,

- 1:09:10Speaker 1: All I said was because it was just the two
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: of us. Yeah, I didn't know Nesto was in the house.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: All I said was Morgan Freeman could get it. You know,
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: I don't even talk like that, but that was with
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: my girls. You were just talking. Oh man, the argument
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: that has I'm sorry, you know I didn't say it
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: so much. Just pick one up. See, you know all
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: I said one time one you know, she made me something.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: I just said. You know, when my mama baked it,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: she baked it a different got to do it. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: And when you talk about cooking and stuff like that,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: you'll look over here at me. Okay, appreciate that. Everybody
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: glance you. Everybody, whatever's fool we always look at you.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: I don't know why. I mean, little simple things started,
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: you know, Like all I said was, if we weren't together,
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: x y Z one of your girlfriends, who did I
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: get with? You know, that's all I say. Together, if
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: we were together, I get well, you know you're dead.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: I hit that we weren't together. You're a dead man.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: You can't really say nothing about their body, No, you can't.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I didn't want I did. I said something one time,
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: I said, why her dressed so tight? You know, like
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: he was on my damn right, Okay, okay. All I
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: said was if she pregnant, it's a possibility. You know,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: I'm just if she sprang that, Wow, I you want
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: to made me? Made me? I had to give my
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: car key. I walked in the room one time, she
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: laying down on the bed trying to put the pants on.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: I said, that's how we got to do it now. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: we walked. We walked into this restaurant one time. All
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: I said, me and my exes to come here all
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: the time. And then it helped it the gas heater
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: brown you back again. I can't, no, nobody, I can't. No,

- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Wesley Snipes is gonna be there. He's going to play
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: a character call what General General eats? General Eats? I think?
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: And Rick Ross Rose is gonna be in. Trust me,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: why are you mad? Jay Hound to him, George Wallace,
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: shell Underwood and myself don't get in this damn movie.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I don't understand. I just don't get it. How do
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: we not get to be in an African movie? What
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: do we have to do? Well? Jadition auditioned Rick Ross,
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: Rick Ross go ahead, here stomach cotton. Now you ain't

- 1:13:54Speaker 1: don't forget December twentieth of next year. I can't wait
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: for that coming to America. All right, we'll have more
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: You're listening to show. So, Carla, you're just paying for
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: your daughter Tasha's lunch, right, you just paid her bill. Yeah,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: so you know, things are different from when we were
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: in school. You know what I'm talking about school lunches
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: and things like that, so you can Yeah, we get
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: this email. I get an email, and I have to
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: put so much money off of my daughter's account. So
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: I had to just give one hundred and fifty dollars, yes,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: for her school when you paid all at one time. No,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Tasha weighs one hundred pounds. Tasha's almost five feet, she eats.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: I'm telling you this stuff. School school, many kids are expensive. No,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: it is a rip off. They're making money off y'all
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: call hundred thous a week up. No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: They send you a notice and then you have to
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: keep putting money on. Natasha says mommy, I want ice
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: cream every day. Yes, in the morning too. So your
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: baby in prison, you gotta put money on her board. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: we're getting at three today. But she's an athlete, so
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: she eats. I'm sure she has a hearty appetite healthy
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: a definitely, Yeah, Tommy, do you have to do that?
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: I don't know what Jack could do. I just heard
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: of money man. Lunch was way different. My lunch special
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: was forty five cent a day. What right there? Yeah?
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: And then what was your favorite food day? When she'd whoa?
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: That was CH's birthday day Friday morning? That pancake was
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: off the chain on Friday morning, and that hot syrup
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: that stuck fried have breakfast food? We didn't do. Breakfast
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: was down for lunch and gone after what y'all had?
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: And white dough nuts with that pot on it, yes,
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: now wet dim the stoke cookies, peanut butter cookies, butter
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: cookies with chocolate cookies, Yeah, with chocolate milk, the big
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: thick kid though. Yeah, it was good. Yes, y'all don't
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: have that no more? How much was your lunch? Junior?
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: Two thousand and fifty? We started for the week we
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: started two It took two fifty the week. Yeah, one
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: damn meal, two fifty. You know how many robberies would
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: have been in they'd have been jacking in that parking lot. Okay, man,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: if I couldn't have that honey bun, I wasn't no good.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: What about honey? Did you all have stuff like pizza? Oh?
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: We had piece of oscar wasn't good. Black people don't
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: know how to make friends. Knocked back in seventy one
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: was wrong? What's wrong with it? They didn't know no
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: cheese number? Just go tomato pace. You didn't recognize and
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: meet you could. You could see the cheese laying on it.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: It were individual shredded cheese. It wasn't melted. Man. They
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: ain't know how to make no peace at a school.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: All right, coming up, it's Steve Harvey and his closing remarks.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: You don't want to miss it at forty nine after
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: the hour you're listening show. Here we are Steve, last
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: break of the day, last break of the week. We
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: talked about millionaires and how they live their lives and
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: they surround themselves with positivity and positive people. And I
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: think you definitely agreed with that in your life and
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: how you live your own You know, it's it's it's
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: hard to do for us as people sometimes because we
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: suffered from guilt. But you've got to cultivate the guard.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: You've got to prune the tree. You've got to extract
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: the bad energy around you. And sometimes sometimes this is
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: family and friends. And I'm sorry, but that's the way
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: it works. Just because they're your family member does not
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: mean they're good for you. Just because this person is
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: your so called friend, these so called friends are friends
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: when the sun is shining. These so called friends are
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: sometimes good in certain situations. They're not good for you
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: as a whole. You got to cultivate to God, and
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: you've got to prune the tree. You've got it. You've
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: got to rid yourself of people who are not like minded.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: And that's a big part of it. The like mindedness
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: helps you with surrounding yourself with the same attitude. Does
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: that help, Shirley, Absolutely, that helps. I mean, you know,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: there's an old saying, birds of a feather flock together
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: all of that, you know, Yeah, I mean, and this
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: world you need that because there's so much hate out there,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: you know, and people don't understand, and we get stuck
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: with our relatives sometimes, and we get stuck with our
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: so called friends because you're paying loyalty to the term
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: of friendship. Yeah, when actually friendship. It's supposed to mean something.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: But how many times have you found that your friends
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: do not honor the code of friendship? How many times?
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: So now you've got to recognize that that loyalty has
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: an expiration date. Wow. And oftentimes it's the people around
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: you have stopped being loyal to you long before you
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: ever considered not being loyal to them. Yeah. And I
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: just want my friend Steve to be as happy for
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: me when good things happen. Is I am genuinely for
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: them when and if they're not in their life And
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: if they're not, you need some new friends. And it's
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: okay because I have friends in my life that were
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: just for a season of time. Oh man, we was
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: cool back then when we was doing this that nat
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: But at this level right here, man, some of them
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: I can't expose. And I still got some friends I
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: grew up with. Man, I can bring around me, We
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: can go places, we could chop it up. But I
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: got some friends, man, I had to let go them.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: Two's wasn't they wasn't ready for this hill? Yeah, and
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: you know what you mentioned something earlier, Steve about guilt.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: You know a lot of times that holds us back
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: because we feel guilty, you know, letting them go, and
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: guilty when we don't help them, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: because you can't help them on with the Other thing
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: that Steve says a lot is that sometimes we take
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: stuff off of our friends and families that we wouldn't
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: normally take Premich Fanger, and we just let it go
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: on and on and on, and you just have to
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: get in that mindset that it's time to go. Is
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: in the hood, there's a said you gotta keep it real. Yeah,
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: you gotta keep it real. You man, don't forget where
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: you come from. You know all this right here? Hey man, doc,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: don't forget about us now. Yeah you know now you
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: thank you all that. No, no, listen to me. You're
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: supposed to keep it moving, but you know what I'm
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: supposed to keep it moving. I'm guilty of making my
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: friends and family problem my problem. You know. We all, yeah,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: we all do that. Everybody does that. We take on
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: way too much. And it's not your responsibility. You are
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: not responsible for another man who is responsible for his family. Wow,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: that's not your job, man. You are in charge of
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: your family, your wife and your kids. That's your number
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: one priority. Everybody else is a distant third and fourth
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: a distant and me helping you can't take away from
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: my family and something they gotta have. I can't deny
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: my children access to great programming, trying to help your
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: child to get out of jail, to hold up now
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: whooa whoa whoa whoa whoa pardner. I can't help you
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: make your house note if it's gonna cause my house
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: note to be delinquent. It does. It doesn't make any sense.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: But people use manipulation and guilt to hold you to
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: a set of things that's only beneficial to them. And
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: it's amazing how they how they change the narrative to
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: get you to feel guilty about what the decision that
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: you made. It's ridiculous, man, Stop allowing people to do
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: that to you. If you're constantly finding yourself having to
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: explain yourself to your friends, excuse them for something they said,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: always aiding them. You need some new friends, and it's
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: okay to get some new friends. You just gotta stop
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: being a friend. Pull back. You ain't gotta you ain't
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: got to snatch your head out the line's mouth. Sometimes,
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: just got to ease it out slowly time. Let a
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: couple of phone calls come through that you don't return,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: just try the message starts getting there. Just don't answer
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: a couple of texts I got battling fight, change your
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: number and then send it to jest who you want
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: to have. Okay, man, I'm telling you that takes care
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: of that. We did the closing remarks that way. The
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: day we did the closing remarks and like a question
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: period kind of helps me get some thought starters. Maybe
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: that to help somebody. Pretty sure a lot of you
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: out there dealing with some of these same things. So
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: keep your head up. God love. If you don't forget,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: talk to God. He love to hear from you. And
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: y'all have a great weekend for all. Steve Every contests
