- 1:43Speaker 3: You probably got to turn the mouth mount turn the
- 1:47Speaker 3: water of the mony up.
- 1:55Speaker 7: Come come out, you think that, I sure will. Good
- 2:03Speaker 7: morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig
- 2:07Speaker 7: me now, one and only Steve Harvey, I got a
- 2:11Speaker 7: radio show, just trying to give God some back, just
- 2:17Speaker 7: some back of what even gave me, just a portion,
- 2:21Speaker 7: you know. Just I'm just trying, man to to show
- 2:26Speaker 7: some type of gratitude for all his blessings.
- 2:30Speaker 2: I'm just trying to, man.
- 2:32Speaker 7: Just get it right sometimes, you know what I mean.
- 2:36Speaker 7: I mean, man, you just can't do what you want
- 2:38Speaker 7: to do and just live wrong all the time. Man,
- 2:41Speaker 7: you gotta at one point in time, Steve, come home. Man,
- 2:44Speaker 7: come on, man, you could do better. I know you can.
- 2:48Speaker 7: You know saying and you know what I had to do.
- 2:50Speaker 7: I had to stop saying I'm gonna try to do better,
- 2:53Speaker 7: and I just had to say, hey, man, I'm going
- 2:55Speaker 7: to do better. You know, trying is just to put
- 2:59Speaker 7: forth in effing Then if it don't work, well okay.
- 3:02Speaker 7: But if you make up in your mind that I'm
- 3:03Speaker 7: going to do something, then trying isn't enough. It's getting
- 3:08Speaker 7: it done is the only thing that matters. See, it's
- 3:10Speaker 7: the difference between doing and trying. We're gonna try to
- 3:13Speaker 7: win the game, or we're gonna go out here to
- 3:15Speaker 7: win the game.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Now, trying to win the game means that you could lose.
- 3:20Speaker 7: But when you got in your mind made up, most
- 3:22Speaker 7: athletes will tell you that they go out there with
- 3:25Speaker 7: the full intent and purpose of winning and winning only
- 3:29Speaker 7: see they don't put the second place finish on the
- 3:32Speaker 7: cover of Sports Illustrated.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Second place don't get you there. You you got to win.
- 3:37Speaker 7: And now take it out of the scope of athletics,
- 3:39Speaker 7: but keep it in that type of analogy. In life, man,
- 3:43Speaker 7: you just want to you want to win in life,
- 3:45Speaker 7: don't you. I mean, at the end of the day,
- 3:47Speaker 7: don't you want to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
- 3:50Speaker 2: In life? Don't you want to be recognized for your
- 3:53Speaker 2: hard work?
- 3:54Speaker 7: Don't you want, you know, to be recognized within the
- 3:57Speaker 7: bonus structure down at your job. Don't you want to
- 4:00Speaker 7: have your plaque up on the wall down at your job?
- 4:02Speaker 7: I mean most people do. Some people could care less.
- 4:05Speaker 7: Some people don't care about looking good or being their best.
- 4:08Speaker 2: And that's cool.
- 4:08Speaker 7: But I ain't talking to them though. I'm talking to you.
- 4:11Speaker 7: I'm talking to those of you who want to be
- 4:14Speaker 7: the best you can be. You know, people kill me
- 4:16Speaker 7: when they getting mad at people. And he Brown knows
- 4:20Speaker 7: and he all up on the employee of the month, man,
- 4:22Speaker 7: the dude doing his job to the best of his ability,
- 4:25Speaker 7: and he getting recognized for it?
- 4:26Speaker 2: What they got to do with all that you're talking about?
- 4:28Speaker 2: Because you ain't up there.
- 4:29Speaker 7: There's amazing, man, how people describe other people's success.
- 4:33Speaker 2: He's so lucky. Lucky?
- 4:35Speaker 7: Hey, man, don't they kind of get you a little
- 4:37Speaker 7: bit when people call you lucky? Well, let me tell
- 4:40Speaker 7: you what luck really is, y'all. Lucky is when hard
- 4:42Speaker 7: work bumps up into opportunity.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Some people call that luck. But hold on, let's think
- 4:49Speaker 2: about this.
- 4:50Speaker 7: If you wasn't working hard, an opportunity presented itself, what
- 4:54Speaker 7: would you call that? But see, when you've been working
- 4:57Speaker 7: hard and opportunity presents itself and it bumps up into
- 4:59Speaker 7: each other. Now people want to call that luck, but
- 5:02Speaker 7: hold up here, got to park though to day, ain't
- 5:04Speaker 7: paying no attention to Yeah, that opportunity came by, But
- 5:06Speaker 7: if you had not been working hard, and the hard
- 5:09Speaker 7: work had not ran up in the opportunity, what would
- 5:11Speaker 7: you have?
- 5:12Speaker 2: No, sir, it's not luck, it's work. It is work,
- 5:15Speaker 2: because there's a scripture that says faith without works is dead.
- 5:21Speaker 7: But my mama was a Sunday school teacher. She taught
- 5:23Speaker 7: me enough. Though now I know different between right and wrong,
- 5:26Speaker 7: just like you do. You ain't got to you know,
- 5:29Speaker 7: it kills me when people write a strawberry letter?
- 5:31Speaker 2: Am I wrong for this?
- 5:32Speaker 8: You know?
- 5:32Speaker 2: Good? Well, look at listen read your letter? Are you
- 5:35Speaker 2: wrong for this? You know you're wrong? What? You don't
- 5:37Speaker 2: need else to be telling me? You know?
- 5:39Speaker 7: But I'm gonna do this anyway. Well, el see, go ahead, though,
- 5:42Speaker 7: do what you want to do. But you know what, y'all,
- 5:45Speaker 7: here's the best advice.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I can give you.
- 5:46Speaker 7: And this is what I really came to talk about
- 5:49Speaker 7: this morning, but I got sidetracked because I listened. Get
- 5:52Speaker 7: out of your own way. So many of us are
- 5:56Speaker 7: blocking our home blessings. We just in our own way.
- 6:00Speaker 7: We are in our own way. And one of the
- 6:04Speaker 7: most dangerous ways you can get in your way is
- 6:07Speaker 7: to do it your way, to get it figured your way,
- 6:11Speaker 7: and to lock in on your way.
- 6:13Speaker 2: And this the way it's.
- 6:14Speaker 7: Got to go. Do you know how many people are
- 6:17Speaker 7: blocking their blessing? Do you know how long I block mind?
- 6:20Speaker 7: With that mindset right there? Look, because this the way
- 6:24Speaker 7: you do it, you think that makes it the right way?
- 6:27Speaker 7: You think jazz, cause you the thought on it long
- 6:29Speaker 7: and hard, and that's what you really want. Do you
- 6:32Speaker 7: really think that your way is the right way or
- 6:34Speaker 7: could that be a better way?
- 6:36Speaker 2: See?
- 6:36Speaker 7: Until I started listening to God and started paying attention
- 6:40Speaker 7: to his way, man.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I was spinning my wheels. Man. I was out here
- 6:44Speaker 2: so determined this how I was gonna do it.
- 6:47Speaker 7: But you know, I had to learn how to get
- 6:48Speaker 7: out of my own way because just because I could
- 6:51Speaker 7: do it my way didn't mean it was the right way.
- 6:55Speaker 7: I had to get out of my own way. Just
- 6:59Speaker 7: get out your way, man, Now, what what does that mean?
- 7:04Speaker 7: That means, See, set your goals, That means have your dreams.
- 7:12Speaker 7: I'm saying, set your goals, man, I ain't saying, don't
- 7:15Speaker 7: set goals. Listen to me. Set your goals. What is
- 7:17Speaker 7: it you want to happen? What is it you like
- 7:19Speaker 7: to have, What is it you like to be? What
- 7:22Speaker 7: do you aspire to? Set your goals and set your dreams. Now,
- 7:27Speaker 7: take your goals and your dreams to God and ask
- 7:32Speaker 7: God to show you how. Man, you can save yourself
- 7:36Speaker 7: a lot of pain. Listen to somebody who did it
- 7:40Speaker 7: his way for so long. And when I finally got
- 7:43Speaker 7: out of my way, out of my own way. When
- 7:46Speaker 7: you've heard old people say, let go and let God,
- 7:49Speaker 7: you've heard them say that I didn't. I didn't get it,
- 7:53Speaker 7: but I got it. Now let go and let God.
- 7:56Speaker 7: And it's amazing little saying. Though now you know you
- 7:59Speaker 7: may not get it now. It took me a bunch
- 8:01Speaker 7: of years to get it too. But when I took
- 8:03Speaker 7: my goals and my dreams and my vision to God
- 8:07Speaker 7: and I said, God, this is what I hope for,
- 8:09Speaker 7: this is what I aspired to, this is what I
- 8:11Speaker 7: want to be, this is why I would love to
- 8:13Speaker 7: get to. Then I said, help me show me how,
- 8:18Speaker 7: point me in the right direction, Let me follow your footsteps,
- 8:22Speaker 7: guide me and give me a spirit of discernment. Show
- 8:26Speaker 7: me who wrong? Because I meet people every day. Ain't
- 8:28Speaker 7: up to no good with me every single day. Oh man, Man,
- 8:33Speaker 7: I can't believe I wonna been to you. Man, the
- 8:35Speaker 7: Lord told me something was gonna happen to me today. Well, see,
- 8:39Speaker 7: I talked to him every day. He did not mention
- 8:41Speaker 7: you to me. He ain't said nothing to me. He
- 8:44Speaker 7: didn't tell me what was gonna happen in mine. Now
- 8:46Speaker 7: I don't mean it can't happen because I'm open to it.
- 8:49Speaker 7: So really, man, I'm proud, and please know I'm listening
- 8:53Speaker 7: as well as I've ever listened before. But get yourself together, though,
- 8:58Speaker 7: see know your goals and your and then let God
- 9:01Speaker 7: show you how to do it.
- 9:02Speaker 4: He'll do it.
- 9:03Speaker 2: You know.
- 9:03Speaker 7: It's so important everybody, that you get focused, that you
- 9:07Speaker 7: aim for something, that you dream of something, that you
- 9:11Speaker 7: aspire to something. But it's the most the best thing
- 9:13Speaker 7: you can do. After you do all that, Man, get
- 9:16Speaker 7: God involved in it. Man, talk to him. I mean,
- 9:19Speaker 7: why would you not what you got to lose? You
- 9:21Speaker 7: ain't got to go down there and make no big
- 9:23Speaker 7: scene and run laps around the church and run up
- 9:26Speaker 7: there and throw yourself on the altar and scream and
- 9:29Speaker 7: flip over and throw money in the ad. You ain't
- 9:31Speaker 7: got to do that. This you and God, man, This
- 9:33Speaker 7: you and God. You know you got to serve and
- 9:36Speaker 7: praise him the way you do it. You gotta let
- 9:38Speaker 7: nobody else tell you how it's done. It's a personal relationship.
- 9:41Speaker 7: People kill me if you don't do it this way.
- 9:43Speaker 7: If you don't come here to this church and you
- 9:45Speaker 7: don't run around in this circle and you don't get
- 9:47Speaker 7: flipped in the an, you don't, Hey man, you better
- 9:49Speaker 7: go have a relationship with God. See what that's about,
- 9:51Speaker 7: you understand? Or nobody throw you off with all that?
- 9:53Speaker 7: All right, all right, y'all talk to him. He love
- 9:55Speaker 7: to hear from you.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Today.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:03Speaker 7: Ladies and gentlemen, let me have your undivided attention. It's
- 10:06Speaker 7: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. The voice you listening to
- 10:10Speaker 7: does not belong to Steve.
- 10:16Speaker 1: I lie.
- 10:18Speaker 7: I do wish that women would stop asking the proverbial question,
- 10:25Speaker 7: why do men lie? That is the proverbial question. The
- 10:31Speaker 7: answer to that question, ladies, is because we are talking
- 10:38Speaker 7: to you. Say it one more time. The number one
- 10:43Speaker 7: reason that me and lie is because we are talking
- 10:49Speaker 7: to you.
- 10:50Speaker 1: And so you can't tell us the truth because.
- 10:52Speaker 7: Your reaction to the truth is so adverse. You know something,
- 11:00Speaker 7: as a matter of fact, let's talk about that for
- 11:02Speaker 7: a minute. Charley Startberry, Califreid, My South Mississippi, Monica, jur nephew,
- 11:06Speaker 7: Tommy in fact, let me, let me let's let's go
- 11:09Speaker 7: on and get to that way. Now, Junior, I know
- 11:10Speaker 7: you they have stuff on your mind, but you know
- 11:13Speaker 7: you probably go you're gonna need this.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Information, okay, because he's married.
- 11:17Speaker 7: Now, yeah, Ladies always want to know why me and lied,
- 11:24Speaker 7: And the answer to that question is because, ladies, we
- 11:28Speaker 7: are talking to you.
- 11:31Speaker 2: What does that mean? Your reactions no sense? The truth
- 11:37Speaker 2: is so.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Crazy to you.
- 11:42Speaker 9: It's cool to us, but you because you can't handle
- 11:46Speaker 9: the react.
- 11:47Speaker 1: You can't handle our real.
- 11:49Speaker 2: You know you can't true?
- 11:52Speaker 1: Hello, No, no, no, that is that is yea. Our
- 11:58Speaker 1: reaction is handling it.
- 12:00Speaker 2: See right there, yeah, right there, right, that's.
- 12:02Speaker 1: How we handle it.
- 12:03Speaker 2: See right there.
- 12:05Speaker 1: You don't like our reaction.
- 12:06Speaker 9: You just want us to sit stoneface and not emotions reactions.
- 12:11Speaker 2: What we're trying to do is delay that reaction.
- 12:15Speaker 1: You see. That's selfish. Yeah, baby, I cheated. We're just
- 12:18Speaker 1: gonna say, oh, okay, honey, that's great.
- 12:22Speaker 7: Why would he come in there and say maybe I
- 12:25Speaker 7: cheat it?
- 12:26Speaker 3: What?
- 12:27Speaker 9: But I'm just saying, if you told that, that's what
- 12:29Speaker 9: our reaction should be.
- 12:31Speaker 7: No, no, we're not already know that. Ain't what it's
- 12:34Speaker 7: gonna be. So why would we come in here and
- 12:36Speaker 7: tell you that.
- 12:38Speaker 1: You don't get to cheat. You don't get to do
- 12:40Speaker 1: that and determine how I react, how our reaction is going.
- 12:44Speaker 2: But I do get to do it and tell you
- 12:45Speaker 2: the lie. I'm gonna tell you.
- 12:46Speaker 9: I do get to do that, react how we react.
- 12:50Speaker 9: I tell you what where you being? Just the simple
- 12:53Speaker 9: question where are you being? The store?
- 12:59Speaker 2: Did you really go to the store?
- 13:02Speaker 1: But why did you lie about going to the store.
- 13:04Speaker 2: That's my question.
- 13:06Speaker 7: Because if I was told you I was at her house,
- 13:09Speaker 7: Well where you think we're gonna be?
- 13:10Speaker 2: How much same?
- 13:15Speaker 1: That's stupid. We already know that you were over there. Anyway,
- 13:19Speaker 1: Well just tell them you didn't know that.
- 13:22Speaker 2: No, no, you did not know that.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Stop you don't ever know huh. That's huh. We have Okay,
- 13:30Speaker 1: we have to continue this coming up to thirty.

- 15:25Speaker 10: Hold it, brother. I came with Sister Georgia the first time.

- 16:13Speaker 10: and I okay. Now, first of all, you're not gonna
- 16:16Speaker 10: disrespect me and curse me out. Okay, that's not even
- 16:20Speaker 10: the way brothers should be talking to brother. Second of all,
- 16:23Speaker 10: if there's any laying on the hands, it's gonna be
- 16:25Speaker 10: my hands laying on you.
- 16:26Speaker 8: Okay. Late, I know I'm trying my wife. If I

- 17:00Speaker 8: want you and you out with your wife. I do
- 17:03Speaker 8: spend my time with my wife. I do you know

- 17:25Speaker 10: a very idiotic statement for you to make.
- 17:27Speaker 8: Okay, that's what's gonna happen. If I catch your black
- 17:30Speaker 8: drip my house again, I'm gonna play this man, and
- 17:33Speaker 8: then I'm getting on the phone with you, you, your pastor
- 17:35Speaker 8: any more of them, because if anybody come by my
- 17:38Speaker 8: house again and I ain't there, I'm kicking your black.

- 17:47Speaker 10: if that's gonna be any whooping gone on, I will

- 22:24Speaker 1: She got mad and drove back home. Was that wrong

- 23:13Speaker 2: Nobody do that.
- 23:14Speaker 1: No, that's crazy, that's really all right, Sammy and Tribeca says,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I'm a thirty nine year old married man, and I
- 23:22Speaker 1: have to share my wife with her male best friend,
- 23:25Speaker 1: which is very annoying. His husband is just as irritated
- 23:29Speaker 1: as I am with their friendship. And I had plans
- 23:33Speaker 1: to see a movie and she'd already seen it on
- 23:35Speaker 1: her lunch break with her bestie. How do I set
- 23:37Speaker 1: boundaries without offending them?
- 23:40Speaker 2: Okay, excuse me, I'm missing all right something.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Married man, married man, His wife has a best friend
- 23:48Speaker 1: who's also married to a man. It's a gay couple. Okay, Yeah,
- 23:55Speaker 1: the husband is irritated because the wife spends more time
- 23:58Speaker 1: with the bestie friends.
- 24:01Speaker 7: I don't give it if he married to several men.
- 24:03Speaker 7: That ain't none of my bills. You can do what
- 24:05Speaker 7: you want, right, but do you spending so much time
- 24:09Speaker 7: with him. Yeah, the thing, you know, man, find something
- 24:14Speaker 7: else to do. He got a husband, Go to movie
- 24:18Speaker 7: with him. You got a husband, go to movie with
- 24:20Speaker 7: your husband.
- 24:22Speaker 2: It's gonna make no sense.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Man, I keep man, okay, yeah, keep male and female.
- 24:29Speaker 7: These opposite sex friendships lead to problems. That's your best man,
- 24:35Speaker 7: Get another bestie? Where girl is that?
- 24:40Speaker 1: So the question is he wants to know Steve? How
- 24:42Speaker 1: does he set boundaries? He he's worried about offending them.
- 24:45Speaker 1: How do I set boundaries without Yeah, I don't give it.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Who offenished?
- 24:52Speaker 8: No?
- 24:53Speaker 2: No, no, I tell you what we're gonna do, all
- 24:54Speaker 2: of us.
- 24:57Speaker 8: There you go.

- 25:18Speaker 2: peanut butter.
- 25:20Speaker 7: Now, I don't get the jelly all the way to
- 25:22Speaker 7: the edge because I don't want to leaking out. But
- 25:24Speaker 7: they pet up on a thick Yeah, I'm spreading this
- 25:29Speaker 7: offensive He don't want to feel.
- 25:31Speaker 2: Nobody man leave a feel.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, all right. Moving on to Joanne and Indiana,
- 25:41Speaker 1: Joanne writes, my husband was ill for three years before
- 25:44Speaker 1: he died. Before he died, I started dating someone else.
- 25:49Speaker 1: My marriage had been over for years, but I stayed
- 25:53Speaker 1: with my husband because he was sick. My boyfriend moved
- 25:56Speaker 1: in two weeks after my husband died. His mom thinks
- 26:01Speaker 1: I'm dead? Wrong, do I owe her an explanation?
- 26:04Speaker 2: Well, I'm gonna tell you right now. It ain't a
- 26:06Speaker 2: good look, right two weeks. I'm just telling you right now.
- 26:12Speaker 7: Now. I know the man was probably six sick, incapacitated
- 26:16Speaker 7: or something, and you should have gave it a little
- 26:19Speaker 7: more time because of the way it looked. But two
- 26:22Speaker 7: weeks after he moved in, Yeah, what was all the
- 26:28Speaker 7: neighbors saying, Well, they ain't even lowered the casket in
- 26:32Speaker 7: the ground. Again, they ain't even put all the dirt
- 26:34Speaker 7: on it. It's still got that green astro turf round it.
- 26:43Speaker 7: And wow, oh my god, here's the key word. He
- 26:50Speaker 7: isn't even cold yet. Well that's where people wrong. Oh
- 26:55Speaker 7: he ice cold, which saying that the body ain't even cold. Yeah, yeah,
- 27:06Speaker 7: matter of fact, when you die, you cold at first morning?
- 27:14Speaker 7: About your finger?
- 27:17Speaker 1: Does she owe the mom an explanation?
- 27:19Speaker 2: Who's mother? His mother? His mother?
- 27:22Speaker 1: Does she owe her an explanation?
- 27:27Speaker 2: His mama tripping?
- 27:28Speaker 8: Like what?
- 27:30Speaker 4: Two weeks?
- 27:32Speaker 7: She already knows this was going on while he was sick.
- 27:36Speaker 7: But nobody understands that about life. So you just gotta
- 27:43Speaker 7: tell her mom. Look, you might, you might, but no
- 27:46Speaker 7: matter what you say, how you think it's gonna go
- 27:51Speaker 7: with his mother?
- 27:53Speaker 2: She'd have lost her son. Yeah a year, she's gonna
- 27:59Speaker 2: hate you for a Why do you move in with him?
- 28:03Speaker 2: There you go? He ain't got nothing now he all
- 28:05Speaker 2: up in her son house. Girl, you see to be evolving?
- 28:10Speaker 1: Drive?
- 28:15Speaker 2: Oh god?
- 28:19Speaker 7: Yeah that when they started flying shots up in the house.
- 28:22Speaker 7: If I was here, I moved back to my house.
- 28:25Speaker 7: I had to less some time. Cool, that ain't all?
- 28:28Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 28:29Speaker 2: Every time they pull out the driveway, go to church,
- 28:31Speaker 2: our shopping.
- 28:32Speaker 9: Teeter's kite or forever?
- 28:36Speaker 3: All right?
- 28:36Speaker 1: Moving on last one, Camy and Toronto says, I'm a
- 28:39Speaker 1: beginning swimmer and my boyfriend is a professional diver. I
- 28:42Speaker 1: learned to swim, but I hate being in water. We're
- 28:44Speaker 1: going on vacation he's planning water activities for us. He's
- 28:48Speaker 1: forcing me to face my fears. Should I make my
- 28:50Speaker 1: own plans?
- 28:52Speaker 2: Well, you gonna die on this vacation. Yeah, to say
- 29:00Speaker 2: that we can all the water sports? What is he
- 29:07Speaker 2: doing though?
- 29:08Speaker 4: Man?
- 29:08Speaker 2: I love going on the water.
- 29:10Speaker 7: Uh huh in all the water trips out and took
- 29:14Speaker 7: out a jet ski three times.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Yeah. Last time I just went circle. The boat came
- 29:20Speaker 2: right on back. We saw it on you.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, thanks fellow. We gotta wrap this up.
- 29:30Speaker 2: Steve Harbin Martin show Man. You don't do this is good.
- 29:36Speaker 2: You're not good. Just spt you stop it. Noise.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Angriest comedian ever. I don't need no help.
- 29:46Speaker 2: I don't need no help. And Joe for me write
- 29:49Speaker 2: my joke.
- 29:50Speaker 7: You want to ask sound effects, You're gonna do it, Tommy, Tommy,
- 29:55Speaker 7: do you want any sound effects with your jokes?
- 29:56Speaker 1: For surely animals. I'll tell you doing sound effects.
- 30:02Speaker 7: Whatever you and Junior work, go ahead, coyote, there you go,
- 30:08Speaker 7: Junior City.
- 30:09Speaker 2: From now you work with jun.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Effect A big bath.
- 30:23Speaker 8: Coming up.
- 30:25Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. What you got Carla?
- 30:33Speaker 9: Okay, so listen to this Steve. My friends a lot
- 30:37Speaker 9: of us appearents. You know, we hang out, we do
- 30:39Speaker 9: things together with our children. So the latest discussion is
- 30:44Speaker 9: at what age should you teach your child how to
- 30:50Speaker 9: curse or say bad words.
- 30:52Speaker 7: Well, you shouldn't teach her. There's no age when you
- 30:56Speaker 7: should teach them bad working, okay, because bad words are
- 30:59Speaker 7: not necessary. It all depends on circumstance and environment. Cussing
- 31:05Speaker 7: is an environmental, circumstantial thing that you have to be
- 31:09Speaker 7: able to participate in. And every circumstance and all environments
- 31:13Speaker 7: do not require cussing. You need to be able, So
- 31:16Speaker 7: it's not a good time for the situations will bring
- 31:20Speaker 7: out the child when it's necessary.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Okay, So it's.
- 31:23Speaker 7: Not for you to decide I'm gonna teach my child cussing.
- 31:26Speaker 7: I never taught any of my kids to cuss. My
- 31:28Speaker 7: father never taught me to cuss. I just picked it up.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Okay, so you overheard it.
- 31:34Speaker 7: And for me personally, the decision to use cussing a
- 31:40Speaker 7: little bit more regularly was somewhere around nine.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Yes, nine is when I started implementing.
- 31:49Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty young.
- 31:50Speaker 2: By twelve, I was you know, I wasn't It wasn't
- 31:54Speaker 2: really farm good. I was just throwing it out there.
- 31:57Speaker 7: But I had a lot more situations, and all I
- 32:00Speaker 7: got the more useful and more timely and more situations
- 32:04Speaker 7: presented themselves.
- 32:06Speaker 2: So that's how I did it. So I don't say
- 32:07Speaker 2: that there's an age that you give a child.
- 32:10Speaker 9: Okay, here's why I'm asking this because I know a
- 32:12Speaker 9: lot of people look uncomfortable with this question. But it's
- 32:16Speaker 9: a different time for these kids and going into school.
- 32:20Speaker 9: It's just been tough with a group of people that
- 32:22Speaker 9: we hang with with their kids. So they were saying
- 32:25Speaker 9: they want to teach their children how to say blank,
- 32:28Speaker 9: you be, get out my face in a situation of bullying,
- 32:31Speaker 9: bull yea and things like so, yeah, you start that.
- 32:38Speaker 7: I don't think it's necessary. See, here's the problem calling
- 32:43Speaker 7: your little crew that y'all go to school with. Y'all
- 32:46Speaker 7: suburban parents, y'all, y'all from the hood, but y'all have
- 32:52Speaker 7: become suburbanized and you all are suburban parents.
- 32:57Speaker 2: So now you've you've tried to remain.
- 33:02Speaker 7: And you're trying to live up to your status status
- 33:06Speaker 7: in life now, but your calling and you're trying to
- 33:13Speaker 7: know when to implement hoodism into your kids and your
- 33:17Speaker 7: kids don't really need that, and so you've got to
- 33:22Speaker 7: teach them other ways. I don't recommend teach seriously, do
- 33:26Speaker 7: not recommend teaching cussing to kids, because I mean, it's
- 33:30Speaker 7: gonna backfire behavior.
- 33:32Speaker 11: You know.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I mean, you don't teach them negative behavior.
- 33:34Speaker 8: Now.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Did I teach my children to take care of themselves? Yeah?
- 33:38Speaker 2: But I found out I was doing it for no reason.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Somebody hit you. Everybody go down there.
- 33:44Speaker 7: My kids ain't down the street fighting and then come
- 33:46Speaker 7: home and you go get all your brothers and go.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Back down there.
- 33:49Speaker 7: My kids don't look. Matter of fact, the house too
- 33:51Speaker 7: far away. I wanted to tell my sons that, but
- 33:54Speaker 7: they went to school where they ain't fight. Ain't fighting you.
- 34:00Speaker 7: They talk about your instagram. Had my daddy took me
- 34:07Speaker 7: to get my live sad that.
- 34:11Speaker 13: My daddy took me over there because we were They
- 34:13Speaker 13: weren't fighting in my neighborhood, but over there my cousin
- 34:16Speaker 13: every day, every said by twelve thirty, yeah, get my
- 34:19Speaker 13: butt tore up.
- 34:21Speaker 2: That's how you grew up.
- 34:23Speaker 9: It's like you said, how we grew up and how
- 34:25Speaker 9: we're parenting and how our children are growing up.
- 34:27Speaker 1: It's just a two it's two different worlds.
- 34:29Speaker 7: And it's and it's some parenting that just doesn't apply today,
- 34:33Speaker 7: and then a lot of it does, but you all
- 34:35Speaker 7: have removed it because of your new way. But your
- 34:39Speaker 7: kids are suburban kids. So when the bullying goes down
- 34:43Speaker 7: in school, how do you teach them how to cuss?
- 34:45Speaker 7: You ain't got to teach them how to cuss. You
- 34:48Speaker 7: got to get the bully out your face. You don't
- 34:50Speaker 7: get the bully out your face by cussing. There's a
- 34:54Speaker 7: physical activity that can get the bully out. Now, if
- 34:58Speaker 7: you don't want to teach the physical act activity, then
- 35:02Speaker 7: you got to go with something else. But bullies don't
- 35:04Speaker 7: respond to get your blankety blank out my blankety blank.
- 35:08Speaker 7: They don't be cause they bullis hell, they don't. They
- 35:11Speaker 7: one told you I'm.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Goin to put my blankety blank in your blankety blank. Now,
- 35:16Speaker 2: you little what's your comeback?
- 35:20Speaker 7: See, it's hard to outcuss a bully, So you got
- 35:24Speaker 7: to teach your children the other things. But I don't
- 35:26Speaker 7: recommend teaching your children how to talk bad to people
- 35:29Speaker 7: because that doesn't work because it's just talk just and eventually,
- 35:33Speaker 7: if once you talk bad, you had to bag.
- 35:35Speaker 2: Some of it up you did.
- 35:37Speaker 14: Your parents have put motivation behind you behind the bully,
- 35:40Speaker 14: Like if you don't wolf his, I'm yours. Yeah, that
- 35:43Speaker 14: was the motivation I had again.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Yeah, what what you're crying for? Yeah?
- 35:51Speaker 1: Yeah, come home crying one long time.
- 35:55Speaker 7: I'm gonna give you something to cry about. Then I'm
- 35:56Speaker 7: gonna take you down there. My brothers then took me
- 35:59Speaker 7: back down to fight Manny. Me and Manni got in
- 36:03Speaker 7: four fights in one day. Me and Manny was through
- 36:06Speaker 7: with it. Man he hit in the picture right up there,

- 41:23Speaker 1: clo clauwe Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building.
- 41:28Speaker 1: This one's from Andy and Kelly, Andy Wrights. I own
- 41:31Speaker 1: a small business that I put all my savings into,
- 41:34Speaker 1: so it has to work. My wife decided she'd quit
- 41:37Speaker 1: her job to help me full time because she hated
- 41:40Speaker 1: her job. Not only is it frustrating to be around
- 41:43Speaker 1: her twenty four to seven, but the loss of our
- 41:46Speaker 1: second source of income is stressing me out. I want
- 41:49Speaker 1: to be honest with her about everything, so she will
- 41:51Speaker 1: find another job and give me some space. But I
- 41:54Speaker 1: don't want to offend her. This could ruin our marriage.
- 41:57Speaker 1: How do I handle this?
- 41:59Speaker 8: Well?
- 42:00Speaker 2: Hold up dog? That's gonna be a little touchy one.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Because she hated.
- 42:06Speaker 7: Her job, so she said she quit it to work
- 42:09Speaker 7: with you full time. She thought two would be better
- 42:12Speaker 7: than one, pursuing the dream. But the loss of her
- 42:15Speaker 7: income is stressing you out. But let me ask you
- 42:19Speaker 7: a question. Did you quit your job and put all
- 42:24Speaker 7: your money into a business.
- 42:27Speaker 1: Two, yeah, he did, and want to be around her twenty.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Four to seven.
- 42:33Speaker 7: See that's your real problem, though, that's it. See, that's
- 42:36Speaker 7: the real problem. And we can't help you with that
- 42:39Speaker 7: because nothing I can tell you're gonna make you want
- 42:41Speaker 7: to be around her twenty four seven. Nothing that's not
- 42:43Speaker 7: ready to go?
- 42:45Speaker 1: Okay, tie that in. Why don't you So? How does
- 42:49Speaker 1: he handle it? What does he do? What does he say?
- 42:52Speaker 7: Well, it's a little water over the damn situation now,
- 42:55Speaker 7: because y'all should have covered this before she quit. But
- 42:59Speaker 7: now that she can, now you're gonna asks her to
- 43:00Speaker 7: go find another job. And what that's gonna be is
- 43:04Speaker 7: go find another job to support my dream. You do
- 43:08Speaker 7: hear how this is gonna sound to her? You can
- 43:13Speaker 7: quit your job and be free, but I can't quit
- 43:15Speaker 7: my job.
- 43:16Speaker 2: To help us be free. I got to go back
- 43:17Speaker 2: to work. That's right, that's what's fit to happen. So
- 43:20Speaker 2: I don't have a suggestion for you, sir. Good luck.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, Carlos and Indiana, we're moving on. I'm
- 43:26Speaker 1: a forty two year old married man with a twenty
- 43:30Speaker 1: seven year old pregnant side chick. She's having a baby.
- 43:35Speaker 1: He's forty two and married. She's twenty seven and pregnant. Okay,
- 43:42Speaker 1: she's having a baby shower in two weeks, and this
- 43:44Speaker 1: is her first baby, so I want to be there
- 43:46Speaker 1: for her special day. My wife knows about the baby,
- 43:50Speaker 1: and she's dealing with it in her own way, so
- 43:53Speaker 1: I don't want to keep hurting her. If I go
- 43:55Speaker 1: to the shower. I'm sure pictures of me will be
- 43:58Speaker 1: all over Instagram. I'm trying to fix this mess by
- 44:02Speaker 1: keeping my baby mama calm while I work on getting
- 44:05Speaker 1: my marriage back on track. What should I skip the
- 44:08Speaker 1: baby shower?
- 44:10Speaker 2: Well, let me explain something to you. What if you
- 44:13Speaker 2: go to that? Come on, let me tell you sometime.
- 44:18Speaker 2: You're stupid.
- 44:18Speaker 8: Dog.
- 44:20Speaker 7: You've made a statement in here that cannot happen. You said,
- 44:24Speaker 7: I'm trying to get my marriage on track. You kill
- 44:28Speaker 7: you to that baby shower.
- 44:31Speaker 1: You can't. Boy, not do that.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Boy sitting up smiling, But but.
- 44:39Speaker 1: His wife is dealing with it in her own way?
- 44:42Speaker 1: God way, do you know the hell?
- 44:46Speaker 2: The sheer?
- 44:47Speaker 1: Hall?
- 44:48Speaker 7: You don't put this woman through and now you're fit
- 44:52Speaker 7: to go to a baby shower? You know you do
- 44:56Speaker 7: know that Hall has a wave with it.
- 45:01Speaker 2: When you're given a woman. Hell, she got a wave
- 45:05Speaker 2: of it for you. Now take care to that shower.
- 45:08Speaker 2: See what happened?
- 45:10Speaker 8: Why?
- 45:11Speaker 2: That's stupid?
- 45:13Speaker 1: But he wants to keep his marriage on track, and
- 45:16Speaker 1: then he wants to keep his baby mama colle to.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Grad.
- 45:21Speaker 9: You're an idiot girl if you don't call me Linda
- 45:25Speaker 9: Gates and get these papers.
- 45:29Speaker 1: All right, Rice and.
- 45:31Speaker 7: Charlotte, excuse me one last day. Yeah, there's a cause
- 45:35Speaker 7: for me in the side.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Chick. Hmm, there's a cause for that. They don't come
- 45:42Speaker 2: with the full benefit package.
- 45:46Speaker 1: That's why he's not gonna be at that shower. A mess.
- 45:50Speaker 1: That's horrible. How is his wife dealing with this in
- 45:54Speaker 1: her own way?
- 45:55Speaker 2: Where is all my money in my bank account?
- 45:59Speaker 4: What is true?
- 46:00Speaker 2: All right?
- 46:01Speaker 1: Listen, that's all the time we have for CLO. Thank you, CLLO.

- 56:34Speaker 2: Buckle up, hold on tight. We got it for you.
- 56:37Speaker 1: Here. It is Strawberry Letter, thanking of you. Subject my
- 56:41Speaker 1: boyfriend hates the word no. Dear Stephen Shirley, I'm a
- 56:46Speaker 1: flight attendant and my schedule is very demanding because I
- 56:50Speaker 1: do international flights. I'm in town a few days and
- 56:53Speaker 1: I'm gone for a few days. My boyfriend hates that
- 56:56Speaker 1: his goodies aren't there for him daily. He calls it goodies,
- 57:00Speaker 1: and you call it cookie. Anyway. I need him to
- 57:04Speaker 1: realize that there's more to life than his goodies. He
- 57:08Speaker 1: hates the word no, so when I am not in
- 57:11Speaker 1: the mood, he pouts. It causes a lot, a whole
- 57:14Speaker 1: shift in our relationship. He uses it as an excuse
- 57:18Speaker 1: to second guess my commitment to him, so I may
- 57:20Speaker 1: never get an engagement ring. We're both twenty nine and
- 57:24Speaker 1: we've been together for a little over four years and
- 57:27Speaker 1: just moved in together. I know I can do better,
- 57:30Speaker 1: but I'm trying to hold on because I love this
- 57:33Speaker 1: man from his head to his toes, and I can't
- 57:36Speaker 1: see myself growing old with anyone else. I'm very religious
- 57:41Speaker 1: as well, and he's not. He'll go to church with me,
- 57:44Speaker 1: and he's even gone to Bible study when when I'm
- 57:48Speaker 1: in town. Excuse me, but I shouldn't have to force
- 57:52Speaker 1: him to go. A lot of small things I ask
- 57:54Speaker 1: him to do, he gives me pushback on them. I've
- 57:58Speaker 1: taught him all about etiquette, and now he's able to
- 58:00Speaker 1: pick out nice restaurants for us. And when I tell
- 58:03Speaker 1: you that we're compatible everywhere except the bedroom, I'm so serious.
- 58:09Speaker 1: That brings me to why I really tell him no
- 58:12Speaker 1: when he wants my goodies. His goodie goodie isn't all
- 58:16Speaker 1: of that. And I have to be in the mood
- 58:18Speaker 1: to put on a show for him, if you know
- 58:20Speaker 1: what I mean. I make up excuses a lot, and
- 58:23Speaker 1: he's onto me. I consider an oral hookup just as
- 58:27Speaker 1: valuable as giving the goodies up. But he doesn't think so.
- 58:31Speaker 1: He wants everything, and he wants it often. He really
- 58:35Speaker 1: hates when I tell him no. So how can I
- 58:37Speaker 1: enhance the experience for myself so I can say yes more?
- 58:42Speaker 1: Can bad sex get better over time?
- 58:47Speaker 2: Well?
- 58:48Speaker 1: It could be a teachable moment sometimes, But listen, you
- 58:52Speaker 1: got to tell him what the problem is. You have
- 58:55Speaker 1: to tell him that or you're going to be miserable
- 58:57Speaker 1: for the rest of your life if you stay with
- 58:59Speaker 1: this guy. But I say, before you do all that,
- 59:02Speaker 1: you really need to decide if this is what you want.
- 59:06Speaker 1: I know you said you love him from his head
- 59:08Speaker 1: to his toes and all of that. You've been with
- 59:11Speaker 1: him for over four years. You haven't gotten marriage, no proposal,
- 59:15Speaker 1: and now you guys are living together. You have to
- 59:17Speaker 1: force him to go to church with you. You get
- 59:20Speaker 1: pushback when you ask him to do little things for you,
- 59:23Speaker 1: and he pouts when he can't get what he wants.
- 59:26Speaker 1: That's not compatibility, as you say, that's selfishness. Okay, I've
- 59:31Speaker 1: read this entire letter and I'm still trying to figure
- 59:34Speaker 1: out what you are getting out of this because he
- 59:37Speaker 1: picks nice restaurants. Come on, now, all I see is
- 59:40Speaker 1: bad sex and bad attitude if you don't give him
- 59:45Speaker 1: his way.
- 59:47Speaker 9: And what you do isn't good enough for him. You
- 59:50Speaker 9: also said that you know you can do better. You
- 59:53Speaker 9: said that in this letter. Well guess what I think
- 59:55Speaker 9: you can too. So you know what they say, if
- 59:58Speaker 9: you know better, do better. So I think you need
- 1:00:00Speaker 9: to do better. Don't be stuck on stupid with this guy.
- 1:00:05Speaker 9: It's time for you to start getting what you want.
- 1:00:08Speaker 9: You're twenty nine. You have plenty of time, you know,
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: plenty of time to get a good relationship. You don't
- 1:00:14Speaker 9: have to be stuck here.
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: Steve, Wow, my boyfriend hates the word no is the subject,
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: but he won't give you a reason to say yes.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: At the church.
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: Say man, Amen, Steve, Amen again again, we will approach
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: this letter. My boyfriend hates the word no in parentheses,
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: but he won't give you a reason to say yes, Lord, Lord, Lord,
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: here we are. And you're an international flight attendant. That's
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: gonna come back into play. International flight attendant. That means
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: you have an interesting life. You're international.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: He local.
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: You in and out of town. You're an international flight attendant. International,
- 1:01:14Speaker 7: He local you in and out of town. He right
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: there all the.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Time, all the time.
- 1:01:20Speaker 7: You see what's happening in him. And my boyfriend hates
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: that his goodies aren't there for him daily. He calls
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: it goodies, and you call it the cookie anyway, I
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: need him to realize that there's more in life than
- 1:01:34Speaker 7: his cookies. Well, that's gonna be a hard sale, see,
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: because you got a problem. He hates the word no,
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: and when I'm not in the mood, he pouts. Now,
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: this pouting is gonna be a problem. I'm telling you
- 1:01:47Speaker 7: that right now. Just sticking your lips out and pouting
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: because you can't get your way, that's a serious sign.
- 1:01:54Speaker 7: And you say it causes a whole shift in our relationship.
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: And I got news for you, and it always will.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: He uses it as an excuse to second guess my
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: commitment to him, so I may never get an engagement ring.
- 1:02:08Speaker 7: No, that's called guilt. He is using the most useless
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: emotion to get what he wants.
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: He's making you feel guilty because he's trying to manipulate
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: you into what you want. And somebody told me one
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: time that guilt is the most useless emotion. It only
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: serves the purpose of a person trying to apply it.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: It does you no good to feel guilty. You don't
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: feel good about it. It doesn't motivate you nothing. It's
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: just guilt, and he's laying it on you in heaps
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: and doses because he wants what he wants.
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: Now, he got you thinking you ain't gonna get no
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: engagement ring. I got news for you. You might not
- 1:02:49Speaker 7: need one, or a truth will come out when we
- 1:02:52Speaker 7: come back.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: All right, hold on, steeg. We'll have part two of
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: your response coming up at twenty three minutes. After My
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: boyfriend hates the word no is a strawberry letter subject
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: for today. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning.

- 1:03:39Speaker 14: of sound is now with LG x boom.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: The subject my boyfriend hates the word no.
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: Yeah, your boyfriend hate the word no, but he ain't
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: given you a reason to say yes. That's the whole
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: thing of this letter. You're a flight attendant. That means
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: you're international. You do international flights. He local, you gone
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: a lot. He always there. Your boyfriend hates that you're
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: not there with the cookie all the time, so now
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: when you do come home, he wants it. Now you're
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: trying to convince him that cookies and sex is not
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: the most important things in life. That there's more to it,
- 1:04:22Speaker 7: but it's gonna be a hard sale because that's what
- 1:04:24Speaker 7: he won't and when he don't get it, he pouts
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: and it causes a shift in your relationship, and it
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: always will.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: Now here's the key to this letter. He used it
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: as an excuse to second guess my commitment to him,
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: so I may never get an engagement rid so. And
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: the reason I'm saying so is because of the information afterwards.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: But he's applying guilt to you to make you feel
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: guilty so he can manipulate you into getting what he wants.
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: Now, y'all both twenty nine. You've been together for a
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: little over four years, and you just moved in together.
- 1:05:00Speaker 7: All this is critical information. You just moved in together.
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: I know I can do better, Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus,
- 1:05:09Speaker 7: I know I can do better. See that's because you international,
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: you meeting me in all over the world. People on
- 1:05:17Speaker 7: your flight hitting on you, talking to you. Pilots want
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: to get at you.
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: You know, you out of town.
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: Everybody out the country want to get at you. You
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: land locally at Hartsfield, they want to get at you.
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: You land at the Guardia, they want at you. You
- 1:05:31Speaker 7: get a Florida app for what they want.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: To holler at.
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying, you a lax day up
- 1:05:36Speaker 7: on you and you dealing with the cooking master back
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: of the house, just sitting there there.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: Won't won't cook it, won't want cook it, don't go
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: on it. But I'm trying to hold on because I
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: love this man from his head to his toes that
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: I can't see myself growing old with anyone else. I'm confused.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: I'm really confused.
- 1:06:00Speaker 7: Because you can do better, but you love him his
- 1:06:03Speaker 7: head told you can't see yourself growing old with anybody else.
- 1:06:05Speaker 7: But then right after this, you say, I'm very religious
- 1:06:09Speaker 7: as well, and he's not. So let's talk about how
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: religious you are. He'll go to church with me, and
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: he's even going to Bible study while I'm in town.
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: But I shouldn't have to force him to go. Well
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: you do if he's not religious, that's what.
- 1:06:25Speaker 13: You have to do.
- 1:06:28Speaker 7: And then a lot of small things I ask him
- 1:06:33Speaker 7: to do, he gives me pushback on him. And this
- 1:06:36Speaker 7: is the man you can't live without. You can't see
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: what's been the rest of your life. He don't go
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: to church. Little stuff he gives you pushback. Now you're
- 1:06:44Speaker 7: ready for this. I've taught him all the adequate and
- 1:06:46Speaker 7: how he's able to pick out nice restaurants for us.
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: When I tell him that we're compatible everywhere except the bedroom.
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: When I tell you that we're compatible everywhere except the bedroom,
- 1:06:56Speaker 7: I'm so serious. See you done told us y'all compatible
- 1:07:00Speaker 7: everywhere with the bedroom. But you ain't bothered up to
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: him because you don't want to hurt him. He brings
- 1:07:07Speaker 7: that brings me to why I really tell him no
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: when he wants my goodies, his goodie ain't that good
- 1:07:13Speaker 7: at all, And I have to be in the mood
- 1:07:15Speaker 7: to put on the show for him, if you know
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: what I mean.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: Now, listen to this. I make up excuses a lot,
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: and he's on to me.
- 1:07:23Speaker 7: I consider an oral hook up just as valuable as
- 1:07:26Speaker 7: giving the goodies up, but he does not think so. Okay,
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: so let's get this together. You're very religious. You moved
- 1:07:34Speaker 7: in with the man without being married. Y'all been living together?
- 1:07:40Speaker 7: You fake orgasms. You want to do half sexual acts
- 1:07:48Speaker 7: and to consider it the whole sexual act.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: Okay, so let me get this right. Y'all. You real religious,
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: but you live together. You fake orgasms.
- 1:07:59Speaker 7: You want to do half acts and consider him whole acts,
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: but he don't like that, and now he can't produce
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: no results in the bedroom. His goodies ain't good at all.
- 1:08:11Speaker 7: So that's what And now you real religious? Thank you
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: for making knowed. I want to go to your church.
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: And so anyway, he wants everything, and he wants it often,
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: but he ain't giving you nothing, and he wants you
- 1:08:25Speaker 7: to take nothing all the time. But you said you
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: can do better. What is it you love about him?
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: Till his head to his toe? You justin got used
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: to him and he can't even do nothing. His goodies
- 1:08:36Speaker 7: ain't even good. So now your boyfriend hate to say no,
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: but he don't want.
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: To give you a reason to say yes.
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: So how can I enhance the experience for myself so
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: I can say yes more? Can bad sex get better
- 1:08:50Speaker 7: over time? How can you enhance the experience for yourself?
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: It's gonna have to be with somebody else, right, and
- 1:08:59Speaker 7: then the bad news. Can bad sex get better over time?
- 1:09:03Speaker 7: I ain't never seen it now, I ain't never seen it.
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: It's bad sex. It's it's stay bad sex. You just
- 1:09:13Speaker 7: have to reduce and lower your expectations. And how much
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: fun is that gonna be? Jip hand something you go.
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: I could have had a V eight. I would rather
- 1:09:28Speaker 7: have the popsy law and you just wasted fineness. Yeah,
- 1:09:38Speaker 7: you just cut and ain't got nothing to go with him?
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: Good law. Poster comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve

- 1:10:54Speaker 1: are going to upset their partner or hurt their feelings.
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: Now Here are a few examples from dot com. All right,
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: so listen carefully, and if you guys have others you
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: might want to add or comment on these. He needs
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: to set better boundaries for his family or their problems,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: and craziness will consume us both. He needs to set
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: better boundaries. This is a wife saying this about her partner.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: He needs to set better boundaries with his family, with
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: his family, with his family or their problems, and craziness
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: is going to consume us both. Okay, do you agree
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: with that?
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: Oh well, don'tkay. You're talking about my mama. Is that
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: what you're saying?
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: You talk about my mom exactly?
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: You can't say that, yeah, right, can you?
- 1:11:43Speaker 10: No?
- 1:11:44Speaker 11: No?
- 1:11:45Speaker 10: No?
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: Absolutely?
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: Not all right?
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: All right, speaking of mother. His mother is not a
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: good person. Period we'll say that.
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: You can't say that. I think that's because she's not
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: a good person to you. But he could. She could
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: have been his everything, his all and all. So now
- 1:12:10Speaker 2: you got a problem. What else you need?
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Man? Some days I'm just tired from work and just
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: want some me time.
- 1:12:18Speaker 8: Can you?
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: I know you've said that, I felt that.
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: I ain't said I just went and got it. Well,
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: I've said it.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: You just want some me time?
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I just need some and like and like.
- 1:12:30Speaker 7: We have an agreement, you know, because she knows I talk,
- 1:12:34Speaker 7: I do radio and then I go do TV all
- 1:12:37Speaker 7: day and I've been entertaining and talking all day long.
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: When I get off work, this ain't the time to talk.
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: Now we're meeting the morning for coffee before I go
- 1:12:48Speaker 7: to work. We get it all out. But when I
- 1:12:50Speaker 7: come home, Man, she allows that for me because she knows.
- 1:12:54Speaker 7: Let my husband get in the front of that TV,
- 1:12:56Speaker 7: set his food, and do what you want to do.
- 1:13:00Speaker 7: And when you come up and go to bed, he'll
- 1:13:02Speaker 7: come up and go to bed, and she'll come down
- 1:13:05Speaker 7: there and wake me up. In that off Steve, you're
- 1:13:06Speaker 7: sleep in the chair. I don't know how you can
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: sleep in this chair, but I stepped in the car
- 1:13:10Speaker 7: for three years.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Nothing. Yeah, all right, So what are some of the
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: things you wish you could say but you know you
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: can't get away with say that?
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: Again?
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: What are some of the things you wish you could
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: say but you know you can't get away with them?
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: You know you can't say you getting.
- 1:13:32Speaker 8: Come on?
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: I like to shut the hell up. I like you
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: getting on my blanketed blank nave and what right?
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: You can't say it?
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: Though?
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: All right, don't try that, Jim too soon? All right, beautiful,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: so Facebook listener Steve on anyway, he wrote this, Uncle Steve.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: His name is Ricky, Uncle Steve. I need some guidance.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Last week, I'm at a cool, fine girl while out
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: with some friends. She's funny and simply gorgeous. We exchange
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: numbers and are going to go out. While texting, though
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: she told me she worked as a stripper just for
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: the money, she says, I'm not sure how I feel
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: about this or if I'm even up for it. Somehow
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: this became a whole other level of pressure or issues
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: that I wasn't prepared for, she said. She didn't do
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: anything to cause and she didn't do anything to cause it.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: Dog is all me. Uncle Steve, my homie said I
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: should do like a list, like what are the pros
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: and cons of dating a stripper? I really don't want
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: to deal with games, jealousy, flakiness or anything like that.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: But I also feel bad for not giving someone a
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: fair shot just because of their job or really what
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: their job once was. Am I wrong? His name is Ricky?
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: Hey man, she's so fine. You trying to find a
- 1:15:05Speaker 7: way not to have a problem with this job. But dog,
- 1:15:10Speaker 7: you're gonna have a problem with the job.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: Dog. And you say jealousy is gonna be that's gonna
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: be one of them. You know, working hours, it's gonna
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: be one of them. Ain't a lot of late night
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: dating because she up on that pole.
- 1:15:22Speaker 7: You know then what she gotta do to get you know,
- 1:15:25Speaker 7: she's gonna be out there stripping everybody looking at what
- 1:15:28Speaker 7: what you want to be yours.
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: Now, if you can handle that type of stuff, then
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: go ahead. I'm not that guy. So you ain't never
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: fell in love with no stripper?
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: A song about it?
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: Yeah, a dog.
- 1:15:42Speaker 7: Let me tell you I worked when I was young.
- 1:15:44Speaker 7: I worked at the Cheetah Strip Club for two weeks.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I was.
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: Oh yeah, thousand dollars a week. I couldn't turn that down.
- 1:15:57Speaker 7: And the dressing room was right next to the strippers. Actually,
- 1:16:00Speaker 7: I think by the end of the week I had
- 1:16:03Speaker 7: asked four of them to marry me. Yeah, because I'm
- 1:16:12Speaker 7: sitting in the dressing room talking to him next and
- 1:16:14Speaker 7: I'm looking at him neckd That was perfect.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: That was perfect.
- 1:16:19Speaker 7: I'm talking about when they had stepped out on Monder
- 1:16:21Speaker 7: them blue lights, they were still argiers, and I was going, well, yeah,
- 1:16:25Speaker 7: I marry her, and I just talking. I was trying
- 1:16:27Speaker 7: to talk them off the pole, you know, to get
- 1:16:29Speaker 7: out on the road and make a committed life with me,
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: you know.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: But I will say, she's fine.
- 1:16:34Speaker 7: I appreciate you being honorable, trying to say that you
- 1:16:37Speaker 7: don't want to judge a person about what they do,
- 1:16:39Speaker 7: but we get judged by what we do all the.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Time, all the time, and some things.
- 1:16:44Speaker 7: I don't think you're cut out for this because you
- 1:16:46Speaker 7: have too many questions going in. You ain't even in
- 1:16:48Speaker 7: love yet, twenty eight dog, But see he wants something.
- 1:16:55Speaker 7: This girl so fine, Like, man, I'm telling you how
- 1:16:59Speaker 7: fine this girl, and she's funny and she just doing
- 1:17:03Speaker 7: it for the money. Not a problem being is when
- 1:17:08Speaker 7: you complain. Here's what women have to remember when a
- 1:17:12Speaker 7: man comes to you complaining about how you are. If
- 1:17:16Speaker 7: he's going to complain and offer criticism of how you are,
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: he must then be standing there with a solution. So
- 1:17:26Speaker 7: that's the only way complaining and criticism works. You have
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: to be standing there with a solution or else it's
- 1:17:37Speaker 7: just criticism.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: I don't like what you do.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: Okay, okay, cool, what you want me to do? Just
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: get a job? Okay where anywhere? Okay? How much did
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: this anywhere? Job pay? This is what I make it.
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: See, that's the problem, and that's what men don't get it.
- 1:17:57Speaker 7: And that's where a lot of women don't understand.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: We should go on a field trip after strip club,
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: just so we can understand more. All of us should
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: go together search.
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: I don't want to go with Shirley and calling you.
- 1:18:09Speaker 7: I don't I'm old school. I don't believe women be
- 1:18:13Speaker 7: all the strip myself, and I don't see.
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: How I could possibly say or feel the same thing
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: I'm gonna feel with a woman looking up side.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: And you know we will, Yeah, I thought he meant, yeah,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: just the guys, go.
- 1:18:30Speaker 2: Man, go back and do what y'all do. Get out
- 1:18:33Speaker 2: of a stop.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: Coming up next, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Morning Show. Right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. We're gonna check out Steve's voicemail. If
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: you would like to leave a message for Steve, call

- 1:19:03Speaker 15: I'm forty four. We're about to get married in a
- 1:19:06Speaker 15: few weeks, but she's constantly wanting to go out and
- 1:19:10Speaker 15: run the streets. What can I say or do to
- 1:19:14Speaker 15: get her to realize that we're about to be married.
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: Well, if she don't know that, y'all, i'll be married.
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: I don't really know what to tell you.
- 1:19:23Speaker 7: But as far as her being fifty one and she's
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: older than you, I want to commend you because one
- 1:19:29Speaker 7: of the things that probably attracted her to you is your.
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: A sound old. So congratulations immediately closed the gap with
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: your boy, because yeah, she didn't thought you was younger.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: Because you're found as old as her. And if you
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: got a woman that's fifty one and still running the streets,
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: do you think it's a good idea to get married.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: Yeah, so to her, Okay, yeah, it ain't no.
- 1:19:59Speaker 7: Laws say you got to marry, especially if she don't
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: want to change her weight.
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: We get married now.
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: You can't run the streets if she don't understand that,
- 1:20:08Speaker 7: because it ain't nothing out in the streets but trouble.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: And if you want to mess your marriage up, go
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: out of the street.
- 1:20:14Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: And I don't care who you are or the marriage.
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: All right, we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning

- 1:25:26Speaker 1: All right here we are, guys, our last break of
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: the day and of the week on the Steve Harvey
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: Morning Show.
- 1:25:34Speaker 7: So listen, man, I want to do something. I want
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: to read a series of things that I keep in
- 1:25:42Speaker 7: my phone. I did a little bit before, but I
- 1:25:46Speaker 7: want to do quite a few of them. These are
- 1:25:49Speaker 7: things that I pull that I take screenshots of, like
- 1:25:53Speaker 7: if I find a catchy saying, or somebody sends me
- 1:25:56Speaker 7: a motivational phrase, or if I get you know, just's
- 1:26:00Speaker 7: something or a scripture that really registers with me, and
- 1:26:04Speaker 7: if they text it to me, I'll take a screenshot
- 1:26:07Speaker 7: of it, edit it down and then save to photos.
- 1:26:10Speaker 7: Then when I get it in my photo section. I
- 1:26:13Speaker 7: have a section in my albums called motivation, and I
- 1:26:17Speaker 7: transfer all of these things over to my photo app
- 1:26:22Speaker 7: and I put it in motivation, and I just have
- 1:26:26Speaker 7: probably I don't know, let me see one, two, three, four, one, two, three, six, nine, twelve, fourteen, fifteen.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: I probably got sixty seventy of these things. I'm just
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: gonna read a few of them to you.
- 1:26:40Speaker 7: And what I do for meditation sometimes is sometimes I
- 1:26:44Speaker 7: start my day by just pulling up all of my
- 1:26:48Speaker 7: inspirational messages that I've sent myself over the years, and
- 1:26:53Speaker 7: they go back quite sometimes, but these are the top
- 1:26:55Speaker 7: ones that matter to me most. So I have one,
- 1:27:01Speaker 7: and I have a pack of lions just walking and
- 1:27:05Speaker 7: you can tell that they look like they're going out
- 1:27:07Speaker 7: on a hunt. It's just a huge pack of lions,
- 1:27:10Speaker 7: and they got a real serious look on their face.
- 1:27:13Speaker 7: And the caption on it says, surround yourself with those
- 1:27:18Speaker 7: on the same mission as you. Surround yourself with those
- 1:27:24Speaker 7: on the same mission as you. Because when you look
- 1:27:26Speaker 7: at lions and they go out on the hunt, they
- 1:27:28Speaker 7: all go out on one accord. They going to get
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: something to eat. Ain't nobody going in there playing and
- 1:27:33Speaker 7: all this. Here, Hey, let's go down there and see
- 1:27:35Speaker 7: the gazelles.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: Let's race.
- 1:27:36Speaker 7: No, no, they get serious, they get in stock mold,
- 1:27:40Speaker 7: and they got something to do. And it reminds me
- 1:27:44Speaker 7: to constantly look for people who are going in the
- 1:27:48Speaker 7: same direction as me. Here's one I've read to you
- 1:27:51Speaker 7: all before. There's a picture of a carton full of
- 1:27:55Speaker 7: probably thirty white eggs, and one of the eggs is gold,
- 1:28:00Speaker 7: and the caption says, they laughed at me because I'm different.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: I looked at them because they're all the same. Be yourself.
- 1:28:08Speaker 2: Then I have another one that has this lion walking
- 1:28:12Speaker 2: across the African plane. This one lion, and I mean,
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: he got a nice little pace and he looking pretty serious.
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: And it's an old African proverb. And as you see
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: this lion walking towards you, it says a lion doesn't
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: turn around when a small dog barks. And that just
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: reminds me to keep my pace going where I'm going.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: When them little haters start talking, them little bloggers that
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: ain't got nothing to do with you. You a lion.
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: You are a lion. You're a person on the mission.
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: You are a lion.
- 1:28:43Speaker 7: Here's one there's some writing in the palm of a
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: hand that says, everything you're going through is preparing you
- 1:28:50Speaker 7: for what you ask for. Everything in life is a test.
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: Always remember that you are and it's preparing you for
- 1:28:57Speaker 7: something you ask for. These testing challenges that you go through,
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: they are little things that give you the experience and
- 1:29:04Speaker 7: the knowledge to equip you with the future. Here's another one.
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: Sometimes in order to get where you're going, you need
- 1:29:12Speaker 7: to drop a few people off.
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: Self explanatory.
- 1:29:21Speaker 7: They that again, sometimes in order to get where you're going,
- 1:29:25Speaker 7: you need to drop a few people off. That's self explanatory.
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: Here's one that I took out. I don't know why
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: I'm gonna read to you, but it's Isaiah forty one
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: thirteen and Hebrew two and two. But they paraphrase that
- 1:29:39Speaker 7: I do a motivation to call Jesus calling. And on
- 1:29:42Speaker 7: one day I was reading this. It says, give yourself
- 1:29:45Speaker 7: fully to the adventure of today. Walk boldly along the
- 1:29:50Speaker 7: path of life, relying on your ever present companion. You
- 1:29:55Speaker 7: have every reason to be confident, because my presence a
- 1:29:59Speaker 7: company you all the days of your life and onward
- 1:30:03Speaker 7: into eternity.
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: Do not give in to fear or worry.
- 1:30:07Speaker 7: Those robbers of abundant living trust me enough to face
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: problems as they come, rather than trying to anticipate them.
- 1:30:16Speaker 7: Fix your eyes on me, the author and perfector of
- 1:30:20Speaker 7: your faith, and many difficulties on the road ahead will
- 1:30:24Speaker 7: vanish before you reach them. Whenever you start to feel afraid,
- 1:30:28Speaker 7: remember that I'm holding you by your right hand, and
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: nothing can separate you from my presence. I just use
- 1:30:36Speaker 7: things like that man, and like sometimes man for my
- 1:30:39Speaker 7: morning meditation. I just go to my motivational page and
- 1:30:43Speaker 7: I pull up stuff. Here's one. Trust in his timing,
- 1:30:47Speaker 7: rely on his promises, wait for his answers, believe in
- 1:30:51Speaker 7: his miracles, rejoice in his goodness, and relax in his presence.
- 1:30:57Speaker 7: It just lets me know the whole time that I'm
- 1:30:59Speaker 7: never alone and that I have a very present help
- 1:31:04Speaker 7: that when Steve Harvey feel like it ain't going right,
- 1:31:09Speaker 7: when I feel like a loan and I got decisions
- 1:31:11Speaker 7: to make and I don't know what to do. Because
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: I have moments like that, when I pray, I always
- 1:31:17Speaker 7: feel better off of that same suggestion to you, find
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: you some things that motivate you along in your life.
- 1:31:23Speaker 7: Put them in your phone, and whenever you feel down,
- 1:31:25Speaker 7: go back and read them. It'll brighten your day.
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: If it did.
- 1:31:28Speaker 7: It wants you to do it again. Those are my
- 1:31:30Speaker 7: clothing remarks. Hey, listen, y'all talk to God. He loved
- 1:31:33Speaker 7: to hear from you. Y'all have a good one, Okay.

- 1:31:38Speaker 7: see y'all Monday.
