Latest / The Ben Ferguson Podcast / White House Pays Ransom to Iran and Sen. Ted Cruz Talks Impeachment
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: So I'm sitting here in Washington, d C. And I've
- 0:04Speaker 1: spent the last two days with Senator Ted Cruz. And
- 0:07Speaker 1: while we've been here, the news that has erupted has
- 0:11Speaker 1: been incredible. Not only do we have this Iranian deal,
- 0:16Speaker 1: which is disgusting, and I'm going to let you hear
- 0:19Speaker 1: what Cinder Cruz has to say about that in a moment,
- 0:21Speaker 1: but we also have this other big story, and that
- 0:26Speaker 1: is on the issue of impeachment. The White House, by
- 0:30Speaker 1: the way, has made their first official comments as Republicans
- 0:35Speaker 1: are moving on impeachment. This is White House Press Secretary
- 0:39Speaker 1: Jean Pierre, and here's what she had to say in
- 0:42Speaker 1: response to the impeachment moving forward. Trying to tell you, well,
- 0:46Speaker 1: there's no reason impeaching because everything's great with the economy,
- 0:50Speaker 1: Everything is great in this country. You should be thankful
- 0:53Speaker 1: you've got Joe Biden as your president.
- 0:57Speaker 2: So want to be clear about a couple of things.
- 0:59Speaker 2: You know, I just talked about bionomics. I just talked
- 1:02Speaker 2: about what the President's going to do tomorrow, really deliver
- 1:04Speaker 2: a major speech, something that the American people want to
- 1:07Speaker 2: hear about what are we doing to improve their lives?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Work on the economy, and these are real issues, real
- 1:14Speaker 2: priorities for Americans, and like I said, like lowering costs.
- 1:17Speaker 2: But what you see Republicans in Congress, right, they have
- 1:21Speaker 2: spent all year investigating the president. That's what they have
- 1:24Speaker 2: spent all year doing and have turned up with no evidence, none,
- 1:30Speaker 2: that he did anything wrong. I mean, that is what
- 1:33Speaker 2: we've heard over and over again from their almost year
- 1:36Speaker 2: long investigation. And that's because the President didn't do anything wrong.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Well, there it is, so I guess we should just
- 1:43Speaker 3: shut it down.
- 1:45Speaker 1: No reason to move forward because the White House, who
- 1:47Speaker 1: also lied to you about the president having no conversations
- 1:51Speaker 1: with the son about business dealings. Then they lied to
- 1:54Speaker 1: you again when they said, okay, well change that narrative
- 1:57Speaker 1: real quick, and the new narrative as well, he's never
- 1:59Speaker 1: directly involved in his son's business dealings. Then that didn't suffice.
- 2:03Speaker 1: So now they're saying, well, then he was just a dad.
- 2:05Speaker 1: He was taking the phone calls of his son talking
- 2:07Speaker 1: about the weather, and sometimes there happen to be some
- 2:10Speaker 1: business people around his son while they were talking about
- 2:13Speaker 1: the weather. These scumbags and the White House Press Secretary
- 2:17Speaker 1: is supposed to be honest with the American people. Her salary,
- 2:21Speaker 1: by the way, is paid for by you and I
- 2:24Speaker 1: the tax payers.
- 2:26Speaker 3: She is lying.
- 2:27Speaker 1: It's very clear that she's lying, and she's saying that
- 2:30Speaker 1: there is no evidence. Now, that's when the White House
- 2:33Speaker 1: Press Corps should have erupted with all of the examples
- 2:38Speaker 1: of evidence, all the examples of suspicious activity reports, all
- 2:41Speaker 1: the examples of Joe Biden and his burner phone and
- 2:45Speaker 1: his aliases and his burner email accounts, and should have
- 2:49Speaker 1: immediately been a massive loud shouting match.
- 2:51Speaker 3: But it wasn't.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Why because they are now going back in to protect
- 2:57Speaker 1: the president.
- 2:58Speaker 3: It all costs mode.
- 3:00Speaker 1: That's what you're witnessing here, same exact thing where this
- 3:04Speaker 1: White House also cannot answer questions about Iran, and many
- 3:08Speaker 1: of the questions that are now coming out about this
- 3:10Speaker 1: prisoner swap with Iran are truly shocking. And I'm going
- 3:14Speaker 1: to get to that in a moment, and I'm going
- 3:15Speaker 1: to let also let you hear what Centator Ted Cruz
- 3:18Speaker 1: had to say about that as we were chatting. But
- 3:20Speaker 1: let me also let you hear what Kevin McCarthy said
- 3:23Speaker 1: today about impeachment and this inquiry. Listen to the latest
- 3:28Speaker 1: from him.
- 3:29Speaker 4: What more, do Republicans need to prove and provide hard
- 3:32Speaker 4: evidence of any possible robbing doing, he.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Used, any possible wrong If you had an FBI informant
- 3:41Speaker 5: alleged someone who's brig and they use shell companies, how
- 3:44Speaker 5: do you prove that? You'd have to get the document.
- 3:46Speaker 3: If we don't have any of.
- 3:47Speaker 2: The credit card statements from all the credit cards.
- 3:49Speaker 4: From this shell companies, we don't have the president's bank statements,
- 3:54Speaker 4: we don't have hundred.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Guidance bank statements.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Providing information like that would answer the question.
- 3:58Speaker 2: All we're looking at in an impeachment Choir is answering
- 4:02Speaker 2: the question.
- 4:03Speaker 3: So he's laying it out very clearly.
- 4:05Speaker 1: This is about having it laid out to the American people.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Where is the money, Where did the money go? What
- 4:13Speaker 1: were you doing with the money?
- 4:16Speaker 3: And you have.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Now you know John Pierre who's coming out here and saying, well,
- 4:21Speaker 1: we're not worried about impeachment, right, that's not what.
- 4:23Speaker 3: We're worried about.
- 4:25Speaker 1: We're worried about Bidenomics, and we're worried about you knowing
- 4:27Speaker 1: exactly what's happening here with Bidenomics and how great things
- 4:31Speaker 1: are with Bidenomics, right, Like.
- 4:33Speaker 3: This is where they're going with this.
- 4:36Speaker 1: It's it's truly shocking to me to hear them talk
- 4:41Speaker 1: this way. Now, look, the Democrats are out full full
- 4:44Speaker 1: court press saying Biden's impeachment is all smoke, no fire.
- 4:49Speaker 1: I'll give you an example of that. John Deane, all right,
- 4:53Speaker 1: hardcore lefty, said this on CNN today for.
- 4:56Speaker 6: A trial, I don't see any probable cause here. As
- 5:00Speaker 6: Dan Goldman said at the top of the show, there's
- 5:04Speaker 6: just no evidence. So this is all smoke and no fire.
- 5:10Speaker 1: So to be clear, all of the money that's come
- 5:15Speaker 1: in the irs, whistleblowers and everyone else that's involved, they're
- 5:21Speaker 1: now saying the official line of the media in the
- 5:23Speaker 1: White House says there's all smoke and there's no fire. Now,
- 5:26Speaker 1: if that's not enough, okay, today you had Raskin who
- 5:31Speaker 1: came out and said this about the impeachments, saying this
- 5:34Speaker 1: is nothing but coming from Donald Trump. And Donald Trump's
- 5:37Speaker 1: in died of mand so you shouldn't listen to him anyway.
- 5:39Speaker 4: There's ninety one criminal charges against Donald Trump right now,
- 5:42Speaker 4: thirteen criminal charges against Congressman Santos, who was just on
- 5:47Speaker 4: the show a few moments ago. They have nothing to
- 5:49Speaker 4: say about that. There are no charges against Joe Biden,
- 5:51Speaker 4: and they want to impeach the guy that's obviously coming
- 5:54Speaker 4: from Donald Trump. It's sort of like January sixth. January
- 5:57Speaker 4: sixth would not have happened had Donald Trump not got
- 6:00Speaker 4: all of the right wing groups to change their permits
- 6:03Speaker 4: from the National Park Service from January twentieth, where they
- 6:06Speaker 4: were just going to have an inaugural protest to January sixth.
- 6:09Speaker 4: And it's the same thing here. If Donald Trump were
- 6:11Speaker 4: not demanding impeachment, does anybody think this would be going on?
- 6:15Speaker 1: So this is the new and I play this for you.
- 6:19Speaker 1: It should frustrate you, it should make you angry, but
- 6:22Speaker 1: I also want you to know and understand your enemy,
- 6:24Speaker 1: and the enemy this is their defense. Their defense is well,
- 6:28Speaker 1: Donald Trump somehow is the one that brought this up.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Donald Trump is somehow the bad guy here. This is
- 6:34Speaker 1: all a ruse. Donald Trump's the one that should be
- 6:36Speaker 1: in jail. And Kevin McCarthy is an idiot, and Kevin
- 6:40Speaker 1: McCarthy and everybody else around him, they're all stupid, and
- 6:43Speaker 1: Donald Trump is the worst person in the world. And
- 6:46Speaker 1: they're going to keep going back to this. It's going
- 6:48Speaker 1: to be a rerun the entire time. They're also going
- 6:51Speaker 1: to tell you there's no crimes that were committed. They're
- 6:54Speaker 1: going to tell you that there's no smoke here. They're
- 6:57Speaker 1: going to tell you that everything is just fine. They're
- 7:00Speaker 1: going to tell you that there's no evidence here, even
- 7:03Speaker 1: though and we will lay out the evidence. And that's
- 7:06Speaker 1: part of my conversation that I had with Senator Ted
- 7:08Speaker 1: Cruz as we sat down in DC to talk about this,
- 7:11Speaker 1: was how much evidence here and how this trial is
- 7:14Speaker 1: going to move forward. And that's part of the reason
- 7:15Speaker 1: why I want to play it for you, because he
- 7:18Speaker 1: explains the evidence and how they're going to lay out
- 7:20Speaker 1: this case and how you win this case with impeachment
- 7:23Speaker 1: and what you need to do, and what I should
- 7:26Speaker 1: say the Republicans need to do, and also how you
- 7:28Speaker 1: can explain it.
- 7:28Speaker 3: I would say to your friends.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Now, before I get to that, I also have to
- 7:32Speaker 1: play for you something that was absolutely disgusting. The White
- 7:36Speaker 1: House lied about Iran today as well. And the Iranian payments. Okay,
- 7:43Speaker 1: the Iranian president says Taran will spend the six billion
- 7:47Speaker 1: dollars release the prisoner exchange. However, the hell they want
- 7:50Speaker 1: to That means the White House lied to you and
- 7:53Speaker 1: they said it would only be used for humanitarian aid.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Listen to this from the Nightly News.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Do you believe you have a right to use that
- 8:02Speaker 2: money in any way that you see fit.
- 8:06Speaker 6: A little bit?
- 8:07Speaker 7: This money belongs to the Islamic to public of Iran,
- 8:10Speaker 7: and naturally we will decide is nomic to public, k
- 8:15Speaker 7: Iran will decide to spend it. Yeah, we need it.
- 8:21Speaker 7: How to spend our money? Of course, it is under
- 8:25Speaker 7: the authority of the stomach to public.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Ran So Iran saying, you guys are a bunch of idiots.
- 8:30Speaker 1: We're gonna spend this six billion dollars on terrorism. If
- 8:33Speaker 1: we want to spend this money on terrorism, we don't.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Care, right it.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Also, you go to the White House, John Kirby, John
- 8:39Speaker 1: Kirmy said, this is not ransom.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Okay.
- 8:42Speaker 1: This is the NSC Coordinator for Strategic Comms at the
- 8:45Speaker 1: White House defending the unfreezing of the six billion Iranian assets.
- 8:49Speaker 1: And then they lied and said will only be used
- 8:51Speaker 1: for humanitarian reasons, And Iran's like, no, it's not. We
- 8:53Speaker 1: can use it for terrorism. We can use it kill Americans,
- 8:56Speaker 1: just like we did in the Rafghanistan, rac we can
- 8:58Speaker 1: use it to kill Israelis, we can use it to
- 9:00Speaker 1: send money to al Qaeda or ISIS or anyone else.
- 9:03Speaker 3: And where's the White House? Say listen?
- 9:05Speaker 2: I also want to be clear, this is not a
- 9:07Speaker 2: payment of any kind.
- 9:09Speaker 5: It's not ransom. These aren't US tax payer dollars. And
- 9:13Speaker 5: we haven't lifted a single one of our sanctions on Iran.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Iran will be getting no sanctions relief.
- 9:21Speaker 1: So then why did you have this money frozen in
- 9:24Speaker 1: the first place, and then why did you unfreeze it?
- 9:26Speaker 1: If what you're saying is true, John Kirby in the
- 9:29Speaker 1: White House, they are paying ransom to terrorists that are
- 9:33Speaker 1: going to use this money for terrorism.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Every day.
- 9:37Speaker 1: There are two different economies that are growing bigger and bigger.
- 9:39Speaker 1: One of them is powered by everyday Americans who are
- 9:42Speaker 1: sick and tired of all the woke propaganda being jammed
- 9:45Speaker 1: into every product that we're consuming.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Well, big mobile companies are no different.
- 9:50Speaker 1: For years, they've been dumping millions and millions into leftist causes,
- 9:54Speaker 1: including planned parenthood. And you had to have a cell phone,
- 9:57Speaker 1: and that's the reason why you paid that bill. You
- 10:00Speaker 1: didn't have an alternative well, guess what. Now, there's an alternative.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile. They are America's only Christian conservative wireless provider
- 10:09Speaker 1: and they use your money to fight back. They offer

- 11:04Speaker 1: seven eight Patriot. For the last two days, I've been
- 11:07Speaker 1: with center Ted Cruz and we did a really extensive
- 11:11Speaker 1: conversation on our podcast Vertict with Ted Cruz about Iran
- 11:15Speaker 1: and also about what's happening when it comes to this impeachment,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and explaining to you how this impeachment is going to
- 11:23Speaker 1: go down. I want you to hear though the first
- 11:25Speaker 1: part of what he had to say about this Iranian deal.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Take a listen.
- 11:28Speaker 1: The House was informed, Congress was informed on the anniversary
- 11:32Speaker 1: of nine to eleven that there was going to be
- 11:34Speaker 1: a prisoner swap with a Ran and oh, by the way,
- 11:39Speaker 1: we're gonna send them basically allow them to get their
- 11:41Speaker 1: hands on six billion dollars that they had in assets.
- 11:46Speaker 1: This is a terrible move in my opinion. I want
- 11:49Speaker 1: to get your take on this as shocking that's happened,
- 11:51Speaker 1: especially notifying Congress on the anniversary nine to eleven.
- 11:55Speaker 5: Well, it's outrageous and it's dangerous. On September eleventh, I
- 11:59Speaker 5: was in New York City. I was at the fire
- 12:03Speaker 5: station that lost the most firefighters at ground zero. Fifteen
- 12:08Speaker 5: firefighters from the station I was at never returned, and
- 12:13Speaker 5: I had the opportunity to speak at a memorial and
- 12:16Speaker 5: to thank the families that were grieving those heroes. And
- 12:20Speaker 5: I pointed out, you know, the word hero is used
- 12:23Speaker 5: cheaply a lot of times to refer to athletes, to
- 12:28Speaker 5: refer to musicians' hero doesn't apply to any of them.
- 12:33Speaker 5: The men who charged into burning buildings knowing they were
- 12:39Speaker 5: headed to certain death, they are heroes, and it was
- 12:42Speaker 5: really an extraordinary honor to give tribute to them and
- 12:46Speaker 5: to try to try to tell the story for young
- 12:49Speaker 5: people of what happened on September eleventh. While we're there, remembering,
- 12:53Speaker 5: Joe Biden couldn't bother to show up. But to add
- 12:57Speaker 5: insult to injury, Joe Biden announces that he's given six
- 13:03Speaker 5: billion dollars to the Ayatola, a radical Islamic theocratic who
- 13:10Speaker 5: regularly chance death to America and death to Israel. The
- 13:14Speaker 5: six billion dollars is in exchange for five Americans. On
- 13:20Speaker 5: top of that, there are another five Iranians that are
- 13:22Speaker 5: being released.
- 13:23Speaker 3: At this point. They have not.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Publicly said who they are of what they've done. I'm
- 13:26Speaker 5: sure it's bad, because if it weren't bad, they would
- 13:29Speaker 5: they would have told us already. There are lots of
- 13:32Speaker 5: reasons why this is wrong, one of which is this money,
- 13:36Speaker 5: the six billion dollars will go directly to fund terrorism.
- 13:41Speaker 1: This money, Oh no, no, the Biden administration promised us
- 13:44Speaker 1: their words, this will only go for humanitarian issues. They
- 13:49Speaker 1: were saying that six billion dollars will never be used
- 13:52Speaker 1: for anything bad at all. What's even worse than that
- 13:55Speaker 1: is the lie is the Iranian president came out and said,
- 13:57Speaker 1: now I.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Will spend the money from the prisoner swap how we want.
- 14:00Speaker 3: In other words, screw you, Biden.
- 14:01Speaker 1: You're lying to the American people about it, and we'll
- 14:04Speaker 1: do whatever the hell we want with the money.
- 14:06Speaker 5: The exact quote from the Iran's president was that the
- 14:09Speaker 5: funds will be used quote wherever we need it, and
- 14:13Speaker 5: it is a metaphysical certainty this money will be used
- 14:16Speaker 5: to fund terrorism. Why because Iran is the leading state
- 14:18Speaker 5: sponsor of terrorism in the world. That Americans will be murdered,
- 14:22Speaker 5: is Raelis will be murdered, and it's not just six
- 14:25Speaker 5: billion dollars, because they're also refusing to enforce sanctions, which
- 14:29Speaker 5: collectively is tens of billions or even hundreds of billions
- 14:32Speaker 5: of dollars to fund terrorism. This is part of a
- 14:35Speaker 5: secret nuclear deal. The Biden administration doesn't want to take
- 14:39Speaker 5: a nuclear deal to Congress because they know they can't
- 14:41Speaker 5: get it through Congress, so as they're doing it in secret,
- 14:44Speaker 5: and on top of that, this creates an incentive for
- 14:48Speaker 5: every ten pot dictator in the world to seize more Americans.
- 14:52Speaker 5: They're setting the going rate at one point two billion
- 14:55Speaker 5: per American hostage. More Americans will be taken hostage because
- 14:59Speaker 5: of this, and to do it on the anniversary of
- 15:02Speaker 5: nine to eleven is disgusting and it's dangerous.
- 15:04Speaker 1: There was something else in here Centat that really shocked me.
- 15:07Speaker 1: In all of the most recent prisoner swaps that we've had,
- 15:12Speaker 1: we knew who we were trading and who they were
- 15:15Speaker 1: and what they had done, whether it was Britney Grinder
- 15:17Speaker 1: and Russia. We knew that we were trading the merchant
- 15:19Speaker 1: of death, whether when it was bo Bergdal, We knew
- 15:22Speaker 1: the people that we were trading, for example, in Afghanistan,
- 15:26Speaker 1: and we knew their resume of terror, what they'd done.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I can't find anywhere, And I want to know, as
- 15:31Speaker 1: a member of Congress, have you been briefed on who
- 15:34Speaker 1: the five Iranians are that they're getting back and what
- 15:38Speaker 1: the hell have they done?
- 15:39Speaker 3: So I have not.
- 15:41Speaker 5: I assumed that at some point we will be and
- 15:43Speaker 5: I also assume at some point the names and what
- 15:46Speaker 5: they did will be made public. I very much hope so.
- 15:50Speaker 5: But this is profoundly dangerous when you funnel billions of
- 15:55Speaker 5: dollars to theocratic, homicidal maniacs lives and it is tragically
- 16:02Speaker 5: a certainty that Americans will die because of this decision
- 16:06Speaker 5: from the Biden administration, and to do it on the
- 16:09Speaker 5: anniversary of nine to eleven shows really a complete lack
- 16:14Speaker 5: of awareness of the magnitude.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Of the threat, to be clear, and I think this
- 16:18Speaker 1: goes back to nine to eleven. Iran killed more or
- 16:22Speaker 1: help kill more and dismember more Americans with roadside bombs
- 16:26Speaker 1: and giving safe Haymanto terraces after we invaded Iraq and
- 16:29Speaker 1: Afghanistan than any other country in the Middle.
- 16:30Speaker 5: East by far, not even close.
- 16:33Speaker 3: And we just gave them money that they can do,
- 16:35Speaker 3: in their words, whatever they want to do with it,
- 16:37Speaker 3: six billion dollars.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Is there any way that Congress can stop this or
- 16:40Speaker 1: is this a straight up executive decision and that's it.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Well, I'm gonna fight for Congress to stop it. But
- 16:46Speaker 5: let's be clear, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats will stand
- 16:51Speaker 5: with Biden and stand with Iran against America and against
- 16:55Speaker 5: our Israeli allies.
- 16:56Speaker 1: We're gonna keep trying to get answers to these questions, obviously,
- 16:59Speaker 1: and we'll keep you up there. I do want to
- 17:00Speaker 1: deal with, obviously, the massive story of the day that
- 17:04Speaker 1: is taking in the headlines, and that's exactly when we
- 17:06Speaker 1: wanted to make sure you knew what was going on
- 17:07Speaker 1: with the RAN, and that is with impeachment.
- 17:09Speaker 3: We are moving forward with impeachment.
- 17:11Speaker 1: The House side, Kevin McCarthy has come out announcing that
- 17:14Speaker 1: this podcast started with the first impeachment. Did you ever
- 17:17Speaker 1: imagine center that we would be sitting here on this
- 17:19Speaker 1: podcast now looking like we're going into a third impeachment
- 17:24Speaker 1: when you started this show originally.
- 17:26Speaker 5: It really is hard to believe. It's not impeachment number one,
- 17:29Speaker 5: it's not impeachment number two. It's impeachment number three of
- 17:32Speaker 5: the president, mind you, not not even impeachment of Alejandro
- 17:36Speaker 5: majorcas non impeachment of Merrick Garland. It is the House
- 17:39Speaker 5: has formally opened its impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden. And
- 17:44Speaker 5: what I want to do in this podcast is really
- 17:47Speaker 5: do a deep dive into what that means and where
- 17:50Speaker 5: things stand, because it's a big deal. This announcement is
- 17:54Speaker 5: a big, big deal. It is consequential, and it's important
- 18:00Speaker 5: listeners to verdict. You know already the details of what's happening,
- 18:06Speaker 5: but it's worth breaking down the arguments so that you
- 18:09Speaker 5: understand it because I guarantee you tomorrow at work, tomorrow
- 18:13Speaker 5: at school, people are going to be asking about it.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Family members are gonna be asking about it, and you're
- 18:18Speaker 5: gonna want to know.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Now.
- 18:20Speaker 5: One of the best ways to assess just the magnitude
- 18:24Speaker 5: the mountain of evidence that has come out, and listen,
- 18:27Speaker 5: I've been calling for the House to open impeachment inquiries
- 18:30Speaker 5: for months. I think the evidence long ago cleared that threshold.
- 18:34Speaker 5: But they've finally done it. It's worth reviewing the bidding.
- 18:39Speaker 5: In terms of Joe Biden's explanations, explanation number one that
- 18:44Speaker 5: he made on the campaign trail repeatedly that he made
- 18:46Speaker 5: his president repeatedly, is he said he had never discussed,
- 18:48Speaker 5: not even once discussed with unter Biden's overseas business dealings.
- 18:53Speaker 5: That was explanation number one. There was a minor problem.
- 18:55Speaker 5: It was a flat out, bald face lie and it
- 18:58Speaker 5: was demonstrably disproven on including by Devin Archer. Saying some
- 19:02Speaker 5: twenty times Joe would call in to talk to Hunter's
- 19:06Speaker 5: overseas business partners. So then explanation number two was Joe
- 19:14Speaker 5: Biden was not in business with his son Hunter in
- 19:19Speaker 5: his corrupt overseas deals. Now that's very different from I
- 19:23Speaker 5: never discussed it, but they realized they couldn't defend that,
- 19:25Speaker 5: so it wasn't in business. So they've run away from
- 19:27Speaker 5: non in business anymore. That's no longer defensible because it's
- 19:30Speaker 5: clear the entire business was selling favors from Daddy. So
- 19:38Speaker 5: talking point number three, which you're seeing multiple Democrats use
- 19:41Speaker 5: word for word, you're seeing the media use word for word,
- 19:44Speaker 5: is there is no direct evidence of Joe Biden's involvement
- 19:51Speaker 5: of Joe Biden's corruption. Now at the outset that throws
- 19:56Speaker 5: Hunter overboard. I think the Democrats have realized, all right,
- 19:59Speaker 5: Hunter is crooked as the day is long. We can't
- 20:01Speaker 5: defend this guy, so Hunter to heck with him. But
- 20:05Speaker 5: there's no direct evidence of Joe. I want to break
- 20:09Speaker 5: that down because that is false and it's a lie,
- 20:12Speaker 5: and it's every bit as false as Biden never discussed
- 20:17Speaker 5: it or wasn't in business with it. But let's take
- 20:19Speaker 5: the no direct evidence and explain why it's wrong. Let
- 20:24Speaker 5: me start by explaining what direct evidence is. So that's
- 20:27Speaker 5: the kind of lawyer word that you see people use that.
- 20:30Speaker 5: If you're not a lawyer, you're like, well, what does
- 20:32Speaker 5: that even mean?
- 20:33Speaker 3: Right?
- 20:33Speaker 5: So, in a court of law, there are two types
- 20:36Speaker 5: of evidence that are typically relied on to prove a
- 20:39Speaker 5: factual matter. Number one is direct evidence. Number two is
- 20:43Speaker 5: circumstantial evidence. Direct evidence is evidence that goes directly to
- 20:50Speaker 5: a factual matter in dispute. Circumstantial evidence is based on
- 20:58Speaker 5: the circumstances you can draw inference that leads to the
- 21:02Speaker 5: factual matter in dispute. All right, what does that mean?
- 21:04Speaker 5: Let me give you an example. If you go to bed
- 21:07Speaker 5: tonight and you look out the window and the street
- 21:11Speaker 5: is dry and clean, and you wake up in the
- 21:14Speaker 5: morning and you look out the window and the street
- 21:16Speaker 5: is covered in snow, that is circumstantial evidence that it
- 21:21Speaker 5: snowed last night. It's pretty damn good circumstantial evidence. Yeah,
- 21:27Speaker 5: there's snow, but you were drawing the inference from seeing
- 21:31Speaker 5: the snow on the ground that it snowed last night. Now,
- 21:34Speaker 5: if you bring in a witness who stayed up all night,
- 21:37Speaker 5: who said ben I saw it snow last night. That
- 21:42Speaker 5: would be direct evidence. The most common type of direct
- 21:44Speaker 5: evidence is eyewitness testimony saying I saw this happen. Now,
- 21:50Speaker 5: one of the lies right at the heart of the
- 21:53Speaker 5: no direct evidence is so what, it's not true. But
- 21:58Speaker 5: before I get to not true, so what, people are
- 22:01Speaker 5: literally convicted of crimes every day based on circumstantial evidence.
- 22:07Speaker 5: They are sentenced to jail every day based on circumstantial evidence.
- 22:13Speaker 5: So the modifier direct is how they're getting around the
- 22:19Speaker 5: mountain of evidence we've got. But I want to tell
- 22:22Speaker 5: you how the statement there is no direct evidence is
- 22:25Speaker 5: a lie. And anytime a Democrat says at anytime the
- 22:28Speaker 5: media says it, you know they're lying. So, as I mentioned,
- 22:32Speaker 5: there at least two significant pieces of direct evidence of
- 22:36Speaker 5: Joe Biden's involvement and corruption. Piece number one, the heart
- 22:42Speaker 5: of the allegations against Joe Biden is bribery that he
- 22:47Speaker 5: solicited and received bribes from foreign olagarchs. You'll recall, and
- 22:54Speaker 5: we've talked about this before on verdict that the essence
- 22:57Speaker 5: of bribery is quid pro quo Latin for this, for that,
- 23:02Speaker 5: and for bribery, you need to show the official action
- 23:06Speaker 5: that was taken. That's the quote, the money or thing
- 23:11Speaker 5: of value that was given, that's the quid, and that
- 23:15Speaker 5: the two were connected, that's the that's the pro well.
- 23:20Speaker 5: One of those elements the official action is conclusively proven
- 23:26Speaker 5: by Joe Biden in his on camera admission to the
- 23:30Speaker 5: Council of Foreign Relations, where he described how he flew
- 23:33Speaker 5: to Ukraine, he held a billion dollars of federal tax,
- 23:39Speaker 5: federal loan guarantees hostage and demanded that the Ukrainian government
- 23:44Speaker 5: fire Victor Choken, who was the prosecutor who was prosecuting
- 23:48Speaker 5: the Ukrainian oligarch, and Joe Biden, as we all know,
- 23:52Speaker 5: as we played on this show many times, says, son
- 23:55Speaker 5: of a bitch, they fired him.
- 23:57Speaker 1: And he was critic by the way, because he was
- 23:59Speaker 1: like he was so prideful, and it was the arrogance
- 24:01Speaker 1: of that moment. It was like, couldn't help himself. It
- 24:03Speaker 1: was like, this is how powerful I was. I could
- 24:06Speaker 1: go over to Ukraine and tell them who to fire,
- 24:09Speaker 1: and I could own them while it was happening. And
- 24:12Speaker 1: if you watch that video, when I see it, it
- 24:15Speaker 1: actually makes me angry because it was a glimpse into
- 24:19Speaker 1: the abuse of power that Joe Biden was willing to
- 24:23Speaker 1: wield around the world on a litany probably of issues.
- 24:26Speaker 1: And now we know why he was doing it. It
- 24:28Speaker 1: was for the money and for the Biden crime family.
- 24:31Speaker 5: That's exactly right. But of the elements of bribery, Joe
- 24:38Speaker 5: Biden's confession on tape is direct evidence that he committed
- 24:44Speaker 5: one of the critical elements of bribery. Now we don't
- 24:46Speaker 5: yet have direct evidence of every element of the crime,
- 24:49Speaker 5: but we have direct evidence of one of the most critical,
- 24:52Speaker 5: critical aspects of the crime, which is the quo that
- 24:56Speaker 5: Joe Biden has admitted. And that is unequivocally direct evidence,
- 25:00Speaker 5: and it's pretty damn compelling direct evidence. There's a second,
- 25:05Speaker 5: very clear instance of direct evidence, and that is Hunter
- 25:09Speaker 5: Biden's what's app message to the Chinese communist official and
- 25:14Speaker 5: I want to read it to you again, Hunter Biden
- 25:16Speaker 5: texted quote. I am sitting here with my father and
- 25:22Speaker 5: we would like to understand why the commitment made has
- 25:26Speaker 5: not been fulfilled. Tell the director, I would like to
- 25:30Speaker 5: resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and
- 25:35Speaker 5: now means tonight and Z if I get a call
- 25:40Speaker 5: or a text from anyone involved in this other than
- 25:42Speaker 5: you Zang or the chairman. I will make certain that
- 25:46Speaker 5: between the man sitting next to me and every person
- 25:50Speaker 5: he knows, and my ability to forever hold a grudge,
- 25:55Speaker 5: that you will regret not following my direction. I am
- 25:59Speaker 5: sitting here way for the call with my father not
- 26:03Speaker 5: to shake down. Now that is direct evidence. That is
- 26:07Speaker 5: a written text sent by Hunter Biden. That is direct
- 26:12Speaker 5: evidence that he and his father are shaking down a
- 26:16Speaker 5: Chinese communist official. It's not circumstantial. It is direct evidence. Now,
- 26:23Speaker 5: it is possible that direct evidence is false, just as
- 26:27Speaker 5: if if Hunter Biden came into court and testified my
- 26:31Speaker 5: father and I shook down a Chinese Communist official. He
- 26:34Speaker 5: could be lying.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Yeah he could, yeah, but I doubt it.
- 26:37Speaker 5: You can teach his credibility. You could say he's lying.
- 26:40Speaker 5: But it is direct evidence. Direct evidence doesn't necessarily mean
- 26:44Speaker 5: that it is true. Sometimes direct evidence is false. But
- 26:48Speaker 5: that's not only direct evidence. It's pretty damn compelling direct evidence.
- 26:52Speaker 5: So I promise you in the next week you will
- 26:56Speaker 5: see multiple Democrats and multiple yabbering uppets and the corporate
- 27:01Speaker 5: media say there's no direct evidence. You know, there's no
- 27:03Speaker 5: direct evidence. The APLS say, the allegations of corruption against
- 27:07Speaker 5: Joe Biden, of which there is no direct evidence, and
- 27:09Speaker 5: they'll state it as a fact, and it is a
- 27:11Speaker 5: lie every time they say it. They're lying because those
- 27:15Speaker 5: two are serious pieces of direct evidence.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Let me ask you about not only that, but let's
- 27:22Speaker 1: connect this to the suspicious activity reports. Is this the
- 27:25Speaker 1: type of stuff that will come out in impeachment when
- 27:28Speaker 1: they go through it as saying, hey, we can connect
- 27:30Speaker 1: the quid pro quote, we can connect these these audio recordings,
- 27:34Speaker 1: We can connect the president's words to these financial bank
- 27:37Speaker 1: records and all of the bank records that James Comert
- 27:39Speaker 1: on this show. If you missed a podcast we did
- 27:41Speaker 1: with them, go back and listen to it. Jim Jordan,
- 27:43Speaker 1: the same thing. They have so much evidence with the
- 27:47Speaker 1: suspicious activity reports and the cash going to the Biden crime
- 27:50Speaker 1: family members, right, we know direct payments, we're going to
- 27:54Speaker 1: multiple Biden family members. Is that where this could be
- 27:58Speaker 1: so damning to this president could put his presidency at risk?
- 28:02Speaker 5: Absolutely?
- 28:02Speaker 3: Yes.
- 28:03Speaker 5: And let me underscore if you didn't listen to our
- 28:05Speaker 5: two part series with James Comer, you ought to go
- 28:08Speaker 5: back and listen to it because we walk through at length. Now,
- 28:10Speaker 5: everything you just listed is circumstantial evidence. And I want
- 28:13Speaker 5: to take a minute because there's a ton of circumstantial
- 28:15Speaker 5: evidence and all of the smarmy people on TV who
- 28:19Speaker 5: are saying no direct evidence, they're pretending like direct evidence
- 28:22Speaker 5: is the only kind of evidence that exists. So, Ben,
- 28:25Speaker 5: if there's a dead body and with multiple gunshot wounds.
- 28:33Speaker 1: And I love that, I'm always the bad guy in
- 28:35Speaker 1: these scenarios. If you noticed this, like everybody, I'm always
- 28:37Speaker 1: the bad guy here, I'm ready for it.
- 28:38Speaker 5: Keep going next to the dead body. It appears that
- 28:42Speaker 5: the dead man with his bloody finger scrawled in the ground,
- 28:47Speaker 5: Ferguson did it?
- 28:48Speaker 3: Did it? Ferguson did it?
- 28:50Speaker 5: Now that's not actually direct evidence. And let's say furthermore
- 28:56Speaker 5: that you're found at home covered in the man's blood,
- 29:01Speaker 5: with gunpowder covering your body and the murder weapon at
- 29:06Speaker 5: your feet.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Okay, none of.
- 29:08Speaker 5: That is direct evidence either, And you know what, You're
- 29:10Speaker 5: going away for the rest of your life. I don't
- 29:12Speaker 5: need any more evidence.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Yea that evidence bye bye.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Circumstantial evidence convicts people every single day. So what does
- 29:20Speaker 5: the circumstantial evidence look with James Comber He walked through
- 29:24Speaker 5: the suspicious activity reports over and over and over again.
- 29:28Speaker 5: The massive number of suspicious activity reports, the more than
- 29:32Speaker 5: twenty shell companies. That is circumstantial evidence. As we talked
- 29:36Speaker 5: through with James Comer, you don't create shell companies unless
- 29:40Speaker 5: it is to hide the source of cash. That is serious,
- 29:42Speaker 5: circumstantial evidence. The allegations in the FD ten twenty three
- 29:48Speaker 5: from a confidential human source that the FBI had previously
- 29:51Speaker 5: found reliable who says that the Ukrainian oligarch told him
- 29:57Speaker 5: that Joe Biden and Hunter Biden demanded five million each
- 30:00Speaker 5: in order for Joe to get the prosecutor fired. Now
- 30:05Speaker 5: that's not direct evidence because the confidential human source doesn't
- 30:08Speaker 5: know it directly. He's repeating what he says that that
- 30:13Speaker 5: that the oligarch said, so that that is hearsay. But
- 30:15Speaker 5: it is circumstantial evidence and is significant. The twenty plus
- 30:20Speaker 5: million dollars that the House of Representatives is already documented
- 30:24Speaker 5: that flowed into the Biden family to people, by the way,
- 30:28Speaker 5: who by all appearances, have no connection to foreign countries.
- 30:31Speaker 3: It's just like, hey, I need your bank account and
- 30:33Speaker 3: here's some money, and it's it's it's it must be nice.
- 30:37Speaker 3: That's gotta be a fun day. Like we haven't talked
- 30:39Speaker 3: about that enough.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Center the fact that you could just have the last
- 30:42Speaker 1: name Biden and you and randomly you get like a
- 30:44Speaker 1: text from Hunter right or from Joe it's like, hey,
- 30:46Speaker 1: I need your bank count if I'm gonna send you
- 30:48Speaker 1: over one hundred thousand bucks, Like, that's gotta be kind
- 30:51Speaker 1: of cool if you're in that situation where it's just like, hey,
- 30:55Speaker 1: I'm Abiden. Now every once in a while, this money
- 30:57Speaker 1: just randomly shows up in my bank account with A
- 31:00Speaker 1: and them LLC, because that's what they've been doing for years,
- 31:02Speaker 1: if not decades.
- 31:03Speaker 5: Well, yeah, although it may not be all that cool
- 31:06Speaker 5: because remember Hunter Biden, in a twenty nineteen text to
- 31:09Speaker 5: his daughter, complains about how his father, Joe Biden, made
- 31:12Speaker 5: him give him quote half his.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Salary, yeah, half everything.
- 31:16Speaker 5: Yeah, Look, this is that that. Likewise, all of this
- 31:23Speaker 5: piles to a mountain of evidence, both direct and circumstantial,
- 31:28Speaker 5: and that mountain of evidence is serious. But there's something else,
- 31:34Speaker 5: which is the cover up. So let's go back to
- 31:37Speaker 5: this hypothetical of the guy you whacked and I don't
- 31:39Speaker 5: know why.
- 31:39Speaker 3: You killed him. I'm not sure but I'm sure he
- 31:43Speaker 3: was a nice guy.
- 31:44Speaker 1: But we should at the end of the year just
- 31:46Speaker 1: come up with all the possible crimes as examples that
- 31:49Speaker 1: I have committed in my and the last year on verdict,
- 31:52Speaker 1: you just turn it into a best steff keep going.
- 31:54Speaker 5: So if you're caught on film driving out on.
- 31:58Speaker 1: A bridge fund now and flinging the gun over the bridge,
- 32:04Speaker 1: over the bridge into the water.
- 32:05Speaker 5: Now, look, that doesn't prove if the gun has never
- 32:08Speaker 5: recovered that it's the murder weapon. But if it's the
- 32:12Speaker 5: night of the murder, yeah, and you're doing it really urgently,
- 32:17Speaker 5: it's pretty strong circumstantial evidence that you are hiding evidence
- 32:23Speaker 5: that that that demonstrates your guilt. And in fact, you
- 32:27Speaker 5: will see at a court of law, if a defendant
- 32:30Speaker 5: destroys evidence h a court can instruct the jury to
- 32:35Speaker 5: draw a negative inference that that evidence would would have
- 32:39Speaker 5: demonstrated would have been bad for them. In this instance,
- 32:45Speaker 5: we know that Joe Biden had multiple burner phones. We
- 32:49Speaker 5: know that he had multiple fake emails, up to five
- 32:52Speaker 5: thy four hundred of them in the National Archives. We
- 32:55Speaker 5: know that he emailed Hunter Biden. We know that he
- 32:58Speaker 5: emailed Hunter Biden about you and we know also that
- 33:02Speaker 5: two senior IRS career employees have come forward as whistleblowers
- 33:07Speaker 5: and have said the Biden administration engage number one in
- 33:11Speaker 5: line to Congress under oath of felony yep, and number
- 33:14Speaker 5: two in multiple instances of obstruction of justice. And in particular,
- 33:18Speaker 5: it's worth focusing on what was the obstruction of justice.
- 33:21Speaker 5: Let's go back to the WhatsApp to the message that
- 33:23Speaker 5: Hunter said. The IRS whistleblowers said they wanted to examine
- 33:28Speaker 5: GPS data to determine, well, when Hunter sent that text,
- 33:33Speaker 5: was Daddy sitting next to him? There's an answer, it's
- 33:36Speaker 5: either yes or no. If it's yes, that is not
- 33:41Speaker 5: direct evidence that Hunter was telling the truth, but it's
- 33:45Speaker 5: pretty strong circumstantial evidence. And according to the IRS whistleblowers,
- 33:51Speaker 5: the Biden DOJ said no, no, no, no, no, you
- 33:54Speaker 5: cannot examine the GPS locations. They likewise said no, you
- 33:58Speaker 5: cannot ask anything about Joe. The fact that the Biden
- 34:01Speaker 5: Department of Justice is willing to commit felonies allegedly, according
- 34:06Speaker 5: to the whistleblowers, yeah, in order to prevent investigation into
- 34:11Speaker 5: Joe's involvement, is powerful evidence of Joe's significant involvement, because
- 34:22Speaker 5: just like throwing the gun off the bridge, you don't
- 34:24Speaker 5: do it if you didn't do anything wrong.
- 34:26Speaker 1: All right, let me ask you this question about this
- 34:27Speaker 1: impeachment compared to the Trump impeachment, the first impeachment, and
- 34:32Speaker 1: if you were the lawyer for Trump, then it was
- 34:35Speaker 1: more about defending yourself. A friend of mine, Jay Sekulo,
- 34:39Speaker 1: as you know, helped with that first impeachment, defended the president.
- 34:42Speaker 1: It was more about a vigorous defense of the absurdity
- 34:45Speaker 1: of what they were charging Donald Trump with. This is
- 34:49Speaker 1: obviously completely different than that. This is a one point
- 34:52Speaker 1: eighty from that. We knew that Russian collision was crap.
- 34:56Speaker 1: They knew it was crap, they knew how to defend it,
- 34:58Speaker 1: and they defended him. I think pretty well this impeachment.
- 35:01Speaker 1: If you were defending Joe Biden from a legal standpoint,
- 35:06Speaker 1: what are your biggest concerns if you're having to meet
- 35:08Speaker 1: with Joe Biden, and what are your biggest concerns for
- 35:12Speaker 1: his presidency If you're meeting with Joe Biden from a
- 35:15Speaker 1: legal standpoint, that could come out in this impeachment that
- 35:18Speaker 1: maybe has never been you know, has come out either
- 35:21Speaker 1: a before you haven't had to at least answer questions.
- 35:23Speaker 5: For your biggest concern is all the evidence against you,
- 35:29Speaker 5: the direct evidence, the evidence that you've basically admitted to
- 35:33Speaker 5: one of the elements of bribery. The evidence the text
- 35:38Speaker 5: message that your son has been caught shaking down Chinese
- 35:42Speaker 5: communist officials for millions of dollars and explicitly threatening that
- 35:47Speaker 5: you're the one who would engage in retaliation. That has
- 35:49Speaker 5: tied you into it. That direct evidence is certainly troubling,
- 35:53Speaker 5: but all the circumstantial evidence would would trouble you as well.
- 35:59Speaker 5: And look, here's what the Biden White House is going
- 36:01Speaker 5: to do. They're going to count on the corporate media
- 36:05Speaker 5: to ignore that. They're going to count on the corporate
- 36:07Speaker 5: media to echo their talking points.
- 36:09Speaker 3: And not cover it like they did the Trump impeachment.
- 36:11Speaker 5: It's to completely ignore it and refuse to address the facts.
- 36:17Speaker 5: And every day you will see a night and day
- 36:21Speaker 5: difference not just between the Joe Biden impeachment and the
- 36:23Speaker 5: Trump impeachments, but between the Joe Biden impeachment and the
- 36:28Speaker 5: ridiculous Trump indictments. There is a world of difference, and
- 36:32Speaker 5: we've discussed at great length on this podcast. The Trump indictments,
- 36:35Speaker 5: which are political and partisan. In this instance, the evidence
- 36:40Speaker 5: of actual bribery by the President of the United States
- 36:44Speaker 5: is serious and severe, and there's not a single Democrat
- 36:48Speaker 5: who is willing to address the merits. They're counting on
- 36:53Speaker 5: the press just to take their blanket dismissals.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Are there people that can now be called that may
- 36:59Speaker 1: have to add serve for their involvement, whether it's those
- 37:02Speaker 1: the DOJ, whether it's Hunter Biden, whether it's other Biden
- 37:05Speaker 1: family members. Walk us through how impeachment works when it
- 37:09Speaker 1: comes to witnesses well.
- 37:10Speaker 5: Merrick Garland is expected to testify before the House Judiciary
- 37:14Speaker 5: Committee in the coming days, and he will certainly face
- 37:16Speaker 5: significant questions about the allegations that he personally lied under
- 37:20Speaker 5: oath and committed a felony. Now, I assume he'll dodge
- 37:23Speaker 5: all of them and defiantly and arrogantly refuse to engage
- 37:28Speaker 5: in the substance. I also assume he will get questions
- 37:31Speaker 5: about the allegations of obstruction of justice, and I expect
- 37:34Speaker 5: Merrick Garland to not be remotely forthcoming. I think at
- 37:40Speaker 5: some point you will see David Weiss called before Congress
- 37:43Speaker 5: to testify. David Weiss has been directly implicated in the
- 37:46Speaker 5: obstruction of justice, which is I believe why Merrick Garland
- 37:49Speaker 5: named him the quote special counsel, because Garland and the
- 37:52Speaker 5: Biden DOJ knew they could count on Weiss to protect
- 37:55Speaker 5: the big guy, and that's their most important objective. We've
- 37:59Speaker 5: talked about how Swearin, who was the kind of money
- 38:02Speaker 5: guy and fixer for Biden, is a very likely witness
- 38:06Speaker 5: and could be a very damning witness, and I would
- 38:08Speaker 5: anticipate UH seeing him come and then we may well.
- 38:12Speaker 5: I assume Hunter Biden, if he's called to testify will
- 38:16Speaker 5: Stonewall at this point the legal.
- 38:19Speaker 1: What does that look like when you say Stonewall, is
- 38:22Speaker 1: it a tactic or are you saying he just won't
- 38:23Speaker 1: answer questions?
- 38:25Speaker 5: My assumption is will plead the fifth.
- 38:26Speaker 3: Okay, So he just come in and say I plead
- 38:28Speaker 3: the fifth and that's the end of it.
- 38:29Speaker 5: I assume that's the case, given the multiple felonies, UH
- 38:34Speaker 5: and and the fact that that he even Dad's white
- 38:38Speaker 5: house seems to be running away from him. I would
- 38:42Speaker 5: be shocked if Hunter Biden said anything else other than
- 38:45Speaker 5: on the advice of counsel, I plead the fifth. I
- 38:48Speaker 5: will say one other thing, which is this Biden impeachment
- 38:52Speaker 5: is demonstrating the utter and complete hypocrisy of Congressional Democrats.
- 38:58Speaker 5: Let me read what what Chuck Schumer said this week,
- 39:01Speaker 5: right after the House announced it's impeachment. Schumer said, quote,
- 39:06Speaker 5: I think the impeachment inquiry is absurd. The American people
- 39:09Speaker 5: want us to do something that will make their lives better,
- 39:12Speaker 5: not go off on these chases witch hunts. So Schumer
- 39:18Speaker 5: is literally using Trump's language about witch hunts and just
- 39:24Speaker 5: repeating word for word what the defense was. Now, look,
- 39:28Speaker 5: I think the Biden impeachments of Trump were witch hunts. Ironically,
- 39:32Speaker 5: this is not. This is serious evidence that Congress would
- 39:35Speaker 5: be derelict if it didn't investigate. Here, by the way,
- 39:39Speaker 5: is a quote from from Democrat Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Quote.
- 39:44Speaker 5: This is what banana dictatorships do is arrest political opponents
- 39:49Speaker 5: without any evidence. Now that's screamingly funny. Yeah, given that
- 39:56Speaker 5: the Democrats have arrested their political opponent like a banana republic.
- 40:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 5: But part of the reasons Democrats can be such total
- 40:07Speaker 5: hypocrites is they know the corporate media will never call
- 40:10Speaker 5: them out. On it that the corporate media will nod
- 40:12Speaker 5: and say yes, yes, but out of republic terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible,
- 40:16Speaker 5: no direct evidence, no direct evidence. And if you take
- 40:19Speaker 5: nothing else from this podcast today, remember every time they
- 40:22Speaker 5: say the words no direct evidence.
- 40:26Speaker 3: They're lying one other thing about this.
- 40:28Speaker 1: And this is where people say, Okay, we have this thing,
- 40:33Speaker 1: it happens.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Let's say it is a big deal.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Let's say there are some some some you know minds
- 40:38Speaker 1: that the Democrats step on, the White House steps on.
- 40:41Speaker 1: We still don't have the votes and the Senate to
- 40:43Speaker 1: do anything about it. Right, That's what they're gonna That's
- 40:45Speaker 1: what people that are cynical and frustrated are going to
- 40:48Speaker 1: say about this.
- 40:49Speaker 3: So how should we be looking at this impeachment? Is this? Should? Should? Should? Should?
- 40:55Speaker 1: People that are listening look at it from a standpoint of, Hey,
- 40:57Speaker 1: we're getting the truth out there and a very big
- 41:00Speaker 1: way about Joe Biden before he's running for reelection, and
- 41:02Speaker 1: that can be extremely powerful and in other words, judgment
- 41:06Speaker 1: day may be election day. Or should we look at
- 41:09Speaker 1: it and be frustrated cynical because like, well, even if
- 41:11Speaker 1: we nail this thing in the House, it ain't going
- 41:13Speaker 1: to pass the Senate. So he's not going to be
- 41:14Speaker 1: impeached and lose his job over this? What mindset?
- 41:17Speaker 3: What hat should listeners put on?
- 41:19Speaker 5: So a little bit of both, Listen, the cynicism is
- 41:22Speaker 5: not misplaced. Senate Democrats and House Democrats do not care
- 41:27Speaker 5: what evidence there is of Joe Biden being corruptive as
- 41:30Speaker 5: soliciting and receiving bribes from falling foign oligarchs. They don't care.
- 41:34Speaker 5: Partisan politics trumps everything. To use my hypothetical, if the
- 41:39Speaker 5: dead guy had scrawled in blood Ferguson did it with
- 41:43Speaker 5: Joe Biden. Yeah, and Joe Biden walked out covered in
- 41:48Speaker 5: his blood, Democrats would be like nothing to see here.
- 41:53Speaker 3: Remind people what the makeup of the Senate right now.
- 41:55Speaker 5: The makeup of the Senate is fifty one Democrats, forty
- 41:58Speaker 5: nine republic.
- 41:58Speaker 1: All right, we've heard about some of you maybe becoming independent.
- 42:00Speaker 1: We've heard, you know, wishy washy things about Joe Manchin,
- 42:03Speaker 1: for example. Is there any scenario where the evidence could
- 42:06Speaker 1: be so damning on the House side that you could
- 42:09Speaker 1: you could flip two different people's people in the Senate.
- 42:12Speaker 5: It wouldn't matter if you flip two because you need
- 42:14Speaker 5: two thirds you need sixty seven. There you go, and
- 42:17Speaker 5: right now we have zero. Right now we have zero
- 42:19Speaker 5: Democrats who, to the best of my knowledge, I'm not
- 42:22Speaker 5: aware of a single Democrat who's even asked a skeptical
- 42:25Speaker 5: question who has even said, well, you know, if Biden did,
- 42:29Speaker 5: in fact solicit and receive bribes from foreign nationals, that
- 42:32Speaker 5: would be a problem. No Democrat has even said that.
- 42:35Speaker 5: And you contrast this to Richard Nixon. Listen, the reason
- 42:38Speaker 5: Richard Nixon resigned in disgrace is Republicans turned on him.
- 42:41Speaker 5: They turned on him when the evidence got over.
- 42:43Speaker 3: And I don't.
- 42:45Speaker 5: Believe Democrats would ever, ever, ever turn on Biden because
- 42:50Speaker 5: partisanship matters more than anything. But be that as it may,
- 42:55Speaker 5: that does not mean that impeachment is a waste of time,
- 42:58Speaker 5: because it is the only way to put these facts
- 43:01Speaker 5: before the American people. In a sane and normal world,
- 43:05Speaker 5: the Department of Justice would investigate and prosecute him. We'd
- 43:09Speaker 5: get a special counsel who was independent, who was consistent
- 43:13Speaker 5: with the DOJ rules, was not an employee of DJ,
- 43:16Speaker 5: and actually would investigate in conveni grand jury and potentially
- 43:20Speaker 5: prosecute these crimes. The Biden doj won't do that because
- 43:24Speaker 5: it's the most partisan and political DJ we've ever seen.
- 43:27Speaker 5: But putting these facts before the American people is valuable, nonetheless.
- 43:32Speaker 5: But to be clear, a critical part of that is
- 43:34Speaker 5: what we're doing right now on Verdict, which is the
- 43:38Speaker 5: million people who listen to Verdict. All of y'all now
- 43:41Speaker 5: have the information. When you go and you're talking to
- 43:45Speaker 5: your brother in law, you're talking to your coworker, you're
- 43:48Speaker 5: talking to your classmate, and they say, well, you know
- 43:52Speaker 5: there's no direct evidence because that's the talking point they've heard.
- 43:56Speaker 5: You now know how to refute that, and that is powerful.
- 43:59Speaker 5: That has a multiplier effect, and it's how I believe,
- 44:03Speaker 5: ultimately you force accountability.
- 44:06Speaker 1: Last question on this, and that is the politics of
- 44:08Speaker 1: overplaying your hand. I said on my podcast today, I
- 44:11Speaker 1: always worry because you've noticed this in the polls. Biden
- 44:15Speaker 1: poll numbers right now are not good, and the media
- 44:18Speaker 1: seems to be telling more of the truth about how
- 44:21Speaker 1: bad the poll numbers are. And the majority of Americans
- 44:24Speaker 1: now say they do believe that Joe Biden was corrupt
- 44:26Speaker 1: in some manner with his son in the business dealings.
- 44:28Speaker 1: That's significant. CNN even came out PBS on Sunday. They
- 44:33Speaker 1: even had one of their commentators and said, I underestimated
- 44:36Speaker 1: Joe Biden's involvement with Hunter Biden and the Biden family businesses.
- 44:42Speaker 1: Is there a concern that if the Republicans play this
- 44:45Speaker 1: too strong and don't take their time toly at the
- 44:48Speaker 1: evidence of this could backfire in the same way. And
- 44:51Speaker 1: again I'm asking from a political standpoint that every time
- 44:54Speaker 1: the Democrats indict Donald Trump, what happens, Republicans stand behind
- 44:59Speaker 1: Donald Trump even more, they they send him money, they
- 45:02Speaker 1: support him, his poll numbers go up. Is there a
- 45:05Speaker 1: concern that if Republicans don't nail this the right way,
- 45:08Speaker 1: that this actually galvanizes people that maybe are wishy washy
- 45:12Speaker 1: on Biden and then it actually helps him stand up
- 45:15Speaker 1: better than he is right now.
- 45:16Speaker 5: Yeah, look that that is conceivable. And there's no doubt
- 45:19Speaker 5: that the multiple indictments against Trump have added a lot
- 45:24Speaker 5: of points, at least ten points to his numbers in
- 45:26Speaker 5: the primary because Republicans have understandably gotten pissed off that
- 45:29Speaker 5: it's obviously a political persecution. So that counsels that the Republicans,
- 45:34Speaker 5: the Republicans in the House, need to proceed carefully. They
- 45:36Speaker 5: need to be facts based, they need to be evidence based.
- 45:38Speaker 5: They need to not have it appear political. Now in
- 45:42Speaker 5: today's world, there will be people who naturally assume it's political.
- 45:47Speaker 5: But but that that is certainly a vulnerability to be
- 45:50Speaker 5: aware of. Another vulnerability is at some point the Democrats
- 45:54Speaker 5: and or the media might decide that Joe Biden is
- 45:57Speaker 5: too wounded and jettison him and try to perish someone
- 46:00Speaker 5: else in I think that remains a very real risk.
- 46:03Speaker 5: We're going to talk about that a lot more on
- 46:04Speaker 5: the podcast, but not on this one.
