- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out to turn turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water go. Come come on your fab daddy. Uh huh,
- 2:01Speaker 1: I sure will A good morning everybody. You are listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, Oh, come on dig me now, one
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey Man got a radio show, Boil
- 2:13Speaker 1: boiled boy. I can't even tell you, man, um, I've
- 2:18Speaker 1: been doing some thinking and you know, just coming off vacation,
- 2:23Speaker 1: I was really had some time to sit out and
- 2:28Speaker 1: and you know, just recharge myself and and just think
- 2:32Speaker 1: about a lot of things, and and and really spend
- 2:34Speaker 1: some time with my wife and her and I, you know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: just recommitted ourselves and and and just went over a
- 2:42Speaker 1: lot of things. Just had a lot of long talks.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You know. Communication is the key, you know, And I'm
- 2:50Speaker 1: a guy and I suffer with that, as do a
- 2:53Speaker 1: lot of guys. I think a lot of women say
- 2:56Speaker 1: that they have a communication problem with that men. I'm
- 2:59Speaker 1: no different. You know, I can write a book all day,
- 3:02Speaker 1: but I still I am a man. I'm wired a
- 3:06Speaker 1: certain way. It's not making excuses, it's just it's certain
- 3:10Speaker 1: things that we have to pay attention to, especially when
- 3:12Speaker 1: it comes to women, because of the way we're wired.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And we were just sitting out there talking and having
- 3:18Speaker 1: some conversations, and one of the things that I wanted
- 3:21Speaker 1: to mention today to you as one of the principles
- 3:25Speaker 1: of success being grateful at all times. It's difficult to do.
- 3:34Speaker 1: I find that to be true with myself. Now there
- 3:38Speaker 1: are others that might be able to do it, but
- 3:41Speaker 1: just just from talking and listening and living and learning,
- 3:45Speaker 1: being grateful at all times it's difficult to do, but
- 3:50Speaker 1: it's necessary because it's it's it's such an act of
- 3:55Speaker 1: faith in knowing that no matter what's going on, it's
- 3:59Speaker 1: going to be all right. And it's hard to see
- 4:03Speaker 1: that when things are not going in your favor, whatever
- 4:08Speaker 1: the case may be. When it's happening to you, it
- 4:12Speaker 1: does appear to you that, oh, my goodness, man, this
- 4:17Speaker 1: is horribly one sided. So it is difficult. It's hard
- 4:22Speaker 1: to do to be grateful at all times, but it's
- 4:25Speaker 1: so necessary. And I just want to point out a
- 4:29Speaker 1: couple of things to you. First of all, the difficulty
- 4:33Speaker 1: in being grateful in hard times is that number one,
- 4:39Speaker 1: the present circumstances. Oftentimes it's just so pressing and so
- 4:44Speaker 1: overwhelming that a lot of your energy is devoted to
- 4:48Speaker 1: trying to come up with the solution for that, or
- 4:51Speaker 1: trying to muster the strength to whether the storm, or
- 4:54Speaker 1: trying to just brace yourself to try to get through it,
- 4:58Speaker 1: and in doing that, you don't It's hard to be grateful.
- 5:03Speaker 1: It's hard to be grateful in pain, and I know
- 5:07Speaker 1: it is. But but here is the trick for me.
- 5:11Speaker 1: This is what I've had to learn how to do,
- 5:15Speaker 1: and I guess it takes practice to get here. It's
- 5:18Speaker 1: not nothing you can just start doing right away. You
- 5:20Speaker 1: got to practice it in small increments to really get it.
- 5:24Speaker 1: What I've always had to say to myself, and what
- 5:26Speaker 1: I've learned to say to myself is this is happening
- 5:30Speaker 1: to me because God is working me through something. This
- 5:35Speaker 1: is happening to me because it's some form of tests
- 5:39Speaker 1: that I have to pass in order to graduate to
- 5:42Speaker 1: the next grade, in order to be allowed to move
- 5:46Speaker 1: to the next level. This is happening to me because
- 5:50Speaker 1: there's something I need to purge my life, of my body,
- 5:55Speaker 1: of my spirit of and when you purge something, it's
- 5:59Speaker 1: it's painful. You know, it's like a person getting off drugs.
- 6:03Speaker 1: The withdrawal is agonizing. I've been told and every documentary
- 6:08Speaker 1: I've ever watched it it's an agonizing process to go
- 6:13Speaker 1: cold turkey to withdrawal after you've been doing something so long.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And so I know that this process is tough when
- 6:23Speaker 1: you're going through some pain. But when you're purging your system,
- 6:28Speaker 1: when you're when you're when you're having to pass a test,
- 6:31Speaker 1: when you're about to make when when you're being made
- 6:35Speaker 1: ready for the next level, that moment right in there,
- 6:40Speaker 1: in realizing that that's what's happening, that's where you find
- 6:43Speaker 1: the gratitude. That's where I found the gratitude. I hope
- 6:47Speaker 1: I'm explaining this correctly. I'm gonna keep trying until I
- 6:50Speaker 1: get it. But that's where you find the gratitude. The
- 6:55Speaker 1: second part of it is is that God has never
- 6:59Speaker 1: left me in all the things I've done in all
- 7:03Speaker 1: the mistakes I've made, all the lies I've told, all
- 7:08Speaker 1: the situations I've gotten myself into from being greedy and
- 7:12Speaker 1: wanting too much for me at the expense sometimes of
- 7:18Speaker 1: other people, not doing it deliberately or in a vindictive way,
- 7:24Speaker 1: because I've never had that spirit. I'm not a vindictive
- 7:28Speaker 1: or mean person, but sometimes in my life, in wanting
- 7:33Speaker 1: to do what I wanted to do, I didn't totally
- 7:36Speaker 1: weigh out the cause and effect of the other person.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I mean, can't just be real with you with that.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I mean, how many times we didn't all done that? Look,
- 7:45Speaker 1: it doesn't don't make you a bad person, you know,
- 7:49Speaker 1: good people do bad things all the time. I just
- 7:52Speaker 1: happen to have come to the realization that unknowingly and
- 7:58Speaker 1: and not and not with malice intent towards a person
- 8:04Speaker 1: I've heard people. So in doing some of these things,
- 8:09Speaker 1: I've created situations for myself. But God, through his grace
- 8:13Speaker 1: and mercy, has allowed me to even get beyond that.
- 8:18Speaker 1: So what I'm saying that God has never left me
- 8:20Speaker 1: in spite of myself. He's always gotten me through. So
- 8:25Speaker 1: that's the other part of it too. See that no
- 8:28Speaker 1: matter what you're going through You've got to understand that
- 8:31Speaker 1: God has always gotten you through it, now, hasn't it.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Now that may not be the way you want it
- 8:36Speaker 1: or the way you liked, but guess what, you can't
- 8:39Speaker 1: do wrong and not pay for that. Now that that's
- 8:41Speaker 1: not how this works. That's never going to be the case.
- 8:45Speaker 1: But the great thing about God is he fires warning
- 8:47Speaker 1: shots at us all the time. He gives us an
- 8:50Speaker 1: opportunity to stop. You know, He don't fully punish us
- 8:54Speaker 1: right away every time we do something wrong. Now does it?
- 8:57Speaker 1: You know eventually you're going to get caught doing whatever
- 9:00Speaker 1: it is you're doing. You do understand that, don't you.
- 9:04Speaker 1: But the first time, that close call, that was a
- 9:07Speaker 1: warning shot for you to stop. I know you got
- 9:10Speaker 1: with her when you know you wasn't supposed to. And
- 9:13Speaker 1: I know you got with him when you know you
- 9:15Speaker 1: wasn't supposed to. So I'll tell you what I'm gonna do.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna fire warning shot and maybe you'll slow your
- 9:19Speaker 1: roll this time. But we keep on though. See see,
- 9:23Speaker 1: see that's what happens. See we just keep on and
- 9:26Speaker 1: then the next thing, you know, we get caught. Now,
- 9:29Speaker 1: Old Lord, have mercy, I won't out of this. Yeah, well,
- 9:32Speaker 1: see you didn't dug this hole pretty deep, and he
- 9:35Speaker 1: gonna get you out. But there's some things that's got
- 9:37Speaker 1: to go down now because you didn't pay attention to
- 9:40Speaker 1: the warning shot. See, had you stopped the first time
- 9:43Speaker 1: you felt bad about it and said you wasn't gonna
- 9:45Speaker 1: do it no more, the situation wouldn't be as critical.
- 9:48Speaker 1: But because we don't stop, and we go again. But
- 9:51Speaker 1: God always for gills, He always does that. You're listening,
- 10:01Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, gather around the ratio and make some noise.
- 10:08Speaker 1: It's the Steve Harvey Morning Show that I didn't didn't
- 10:19Speaker 1: you now? Okay, thank you, Shelly. Well let's I'm gonna
- 10:25Speaker 1: leave it there. I'm not gonna try it again. Yeah,
- 10:28Speaker 1: good morning shooting. Hey, good morning Steve. What's up right? Everything? Everything? Hey, Junior?
- 10:33Speaker 1: Morning up, my hero, So pimp, what's going on? Nephew,
- 10:36Speaker 1: Tommy dogging dog? Top of the morning man sitting up
- 10:40Speaker 1: in hill Man, just grooving. I love it when we're
- 10:44Speaker 1: cruising together. You're musical today. I was the anniversary a lot.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Oh man, come on, yeah, you can make it to
- 10:53Speaker 1: work yesterday so I know, no, I was I was
- 10:59Speaker 1: in the recovery room with an IV in your arm
- 11:06Speaker 1: for you a little dehydrated, just like you know what
- 11:12Speaker 1: I'm saying. Well, I can't tell you exactly where I went,
- 11:19Speaker 1: but I took her to a sweet overlooking the ocean
- 11:25Speaker 1: and had several meals prepared, sweet overlooking the ocean, right
- 11:31Speaker 1: onto the water, and them prepared two meals, had her
- 11:36Speaker 1: favorite wine. Now, we just set up man and talked,
- 11:41Speaker 1: talked about our life, wrote some jokes together. What uh,
- 11:46Speaker 1: you know, just fun stuff. She thinks she's fun there
- 11:48Speaker 1: that she really is. Of course, I wish you would
- 11:54Speaker 1: act like you didn't think it was funny, and it
- 11:58Speaker 1: was just really really just really just a cool evening.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Watch the movie and put some pressure on each other,
- 12:06Speaker 1: you know stuff like that. Yeah, you know, I put
- 12:11Speaker 1: some pressure on you. You put some pressure on me,
- 12:13Speaker 1: you know, pressure each other. Some things got out of hand,
- 12:17Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Oh, okay, no wonder you
- 12:20Speaker 1: couldn't make it to work yesterday. You know, I was
- 12:23Speaker 1: trying to climb over the balcony escape at one point. Okay,
- 12:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna name three things I was asking me And
- 12:32Speaker 1: I was hanging over the bathroom and trying to. I
- 12:34Speaker 1: was trying to drop hand to the sweet below me,
- 12:36Speaker 1: but it wasn't war so I had to pull myself
- 12:38Speaker 1: back up and just going back over there. Deal with it.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna name three things. Tell me if any of
- 12:43Speaker 1: these things were involved yesterday? Um A clock? Uh? Yeah,
- 12:51Speaker 1: what Yah would allowed? Tick on? You go ahead? Uh?
- 12:58Speaker 1: An elephant? Oh? Just trump? I started to say that
- 13:07Speaker 1: one and a pair of timberlands only hair one final,
- 13:18Speaker 1: So now I understand the pressure. You speak up, sir. Wow.
- 13:24Speaker 1: All right, coming up in thirty two after the hour, Steve,
- 13:27Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about the first Democratic presidential debate. It
- 13:31Speaker 1: kicks off tonight in Miami with all a hundred thousand
- 13:36Speaker 1: of the Democratic candidates. Okay, so many, it's twenty three.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Actually we'll talk about that right after this. You're listening
- 13:44Speaker 1: to the Steve Morning Show. Well, well, well, the first
- 13:48Speaker 1: Democratic presidential debate is set for tonight and tomorrow night

- 13:58Speaker 1: MSNBC and telemon No at nine o'clock pm Eastern, with
- 14:03Speaker 1: a total of twenty candidates ten each night. UH. Candidates
- 14:07Speaker 1: had to qualify to be invited and to qualify, Yeah,
- 14:11Speaker 1: you had to get sixty five thousand donors to contribute
- 14:14Speaker 1: to their campaign with two hundred donors from at least
- 14:18Speaker 1: twenty different states, or they had to receive one percent
- 14:21Speaker 1: of support in three polls the d n C deems
- 14:24Speaker 1: as qualified. Son't make the number one. Yeah, that's it's
- 14:28Speaker 1: twenty three candidates only twenty may to ten each night. Well,
- 14:32Speaker 1: who didn't get the money? All right, So here's a
- 14:34Speaker 1: list of the of the twenty candidates that qualified for
- 14:37Speaker 1: the debate. Corey Booker, Bill de Blasio out of New
- 14:41Speaker 1: York he's a mayor. Uh, Julian Castro, John Delaney, Telsey Gabbert,
- 14:49Speaker 1: stop me, you know if you don't know. Yeah, Okay,

- 15:21Speaker 1: former Texas Congressman Beeto Beto O'Rourke Uh, Ohio, Yeah, Beto, Ohio. Rep.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Tim Ryan Uh that's why Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren's heading
- 15:40Speaker 1: the pole. She because she has a plan. That's all
- 15:43Speaker 1: she talks about is I have a plan for that.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I have a plan for that. She's got a plan
- 15:48Speaker 1: for everything, Yes, she does. Former Vice President Joe Biden,
- 15:54Speaker 1: Colorado Senator Michael Bennett, Pete Buddha judge. You know, he's
- 15:59Speaker 1: a mayor of South Bend. Ye the last name does
- 16:03Speaker 1: it for him. Kursen Gillibrand uh out of New York.
- 16:08Speaker 1: She's a senator, Kamala Harris, California Senator. And she and
- 16:13Speaker 1: the body's getting a little shaken less. She started saying something,
- 16:17Speaker 1: Ka car and say, I like a lot. But she
- 16:19Speaker 1: gotta start saying something because she this old she has
- 16:23Speaker 1: she has to come with it and stop saying that's
- 16:26Speaker 1: something I would consider all these safe fans. Is she
- 16:29Speaker 1: gotta get a little bit more definitive. I think the
- 16:33Speaker 1: winning ticket, I'll tell you who I think it is,
- 16:35Speaker 1: all right, John hick and Looper out of Colorado. He's
- 16:39Speaker 1: a governor. Bernie Sanders out of Vermond. He's a senator
- 16:44Speaker 1: there of course. Uh. Eric Swalwell, California Representative Mary Ann
- 16:50Speaker 1: Williamson the author. And when I first looked at this,
- 16:54Speaker 1: I thought it was Andrew Young. But this is Andrew Yang,
- 16:58Speaker 1: a businessman. I didn't even know he was. All right, yeah, yeah, okay,
- 17:04Speaker 1: is that everybody for here's the four that didn't make it.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Seth Moulton, Massachusetts Representative, UH, the mayor of Miramar, Florida,
- 17:15Speaker 1: Wayne Messman, C. Bullock, the governor of Mantana, Montana, and
- 17:20Speaker 1: former Alaska ain't nobody vote for nobody in money. They
- 17:22Speaker 1: didn't even make a debate, and you got more cows,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and you got people you know, just tell you the
- 17:29Speaker 1: real Yeah. Alaska Senator Mike Gravel he's in it too.
- 17:35Speaker 1: He didn't make it, but he's he's the candidate for
- 17:39Speaker 1: presidents for president. But they didn't make it. If you
- 17:41Speaker 1: can't make this cut, how are you gonna make that?
- 17:43Speaker 1: Here's the ticket. It's two tickets that has a chance
- 17:47Speaker 1: of with it. Joe Biden, Yeah, and Kamela Kama Kamala
- 17:55Speaker 1: or right now the way at Lucas wait, you sang
- 17:57Speaker 1: Joe Biden for president and Kamala for VP. That's who
- 18:00Speaker 1: I think it will win. Okay, because you know she
- 18:03Speaker 1: wants to be president. I understand that. Understand. Yeah, I
- 18:07Speaker 1: want to be a billionaire tomorrow. I'm just saying, yeah, no,
- 18:11Speaker 1: ain't nothing wrong, but I'm and hey man, look I'm
- 18:13Speaker 1: with her. I'm with her with everything. She won't But
- 18:17Speaker 1: I'm just telling you, Okay, you know what you want
- 18:19Speaker 1: and what is two different things? Okay, who's the other team?
- 18:25Speaker 1: I think? I think Joe Biden and I think Joe Biden,
- 18:29Speaker 1: and uh, I tell you who else? I think Joe
- 18:32Speaker 1: Biden and Elizabeth Warren. Elizabeth Warren, but she wants to
- 18:35Speaker 1: be president as well. Now we could have a female.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Everybody can't be president. Yeah, Now he ain't getting here.
- 18:47Speaker 1: We need someone to win win. Joe Biden is still
- 18:50Speaker 1: number one, Bernie's still number two, Elizabeth's number three, and
- 18:54Speaker 1: she's gaining. I ain't mad at an. I didn't think
- 18:58Speaker 1: she had a chance. Yeah, but people are started. She's
- 19:01Speaker 1: starting it well, you know, she's starting to make a
- 19:03Speaker 1: lot of sense. But like you say, she does have
- 19:06Speaker 1: a plan. Ken, Ken, Biden and Bernie be together? They're
- 19:12Speaker 1: they're no, they don't think alike. I don't think. Yeah,
- 19:16Speaker 1: n't Ken, who be together? Biden and Bernie? Oh hell no,
- 19:21Speaker 1: that's such a cute sounding ticket though Biden and Bernie
- 19:25Speaker 1: two old white men, and Bernie does not want to
- 19:28Speaker 1: be He wants shut up, you shut up, free everything
- 19:37Speaker 1: and just give everything away. But yeah, so are we
- 19:42Speaker 1: watching it? We are definitely watching watch. Yeah. I want
- 19:45Speaker 1: to see tonight. I mean yeah, I'm definitely gonna want
- 19:48Speaker 1: I can't wait. I can't wait to see that. Everybody
- 19:51Speaker 1: will get a question of piece that's about it ten
- 19:54Speaker 1: each night. I think I'd be pulling out of I
- 19:57Speaker 1: didn't make the cut today. But remember when Donald Trump
- 19:59Speaker 1: was run, there was whole so many Republican candidates as well,
- 20:03Speaker 1: there were a lot. It was just you recognized him
- 20:07Speaker 1: and he was different. He was different because he was rude,
- 20:11Speaker 1: right obnoxious. He gave people names. Yeah, he said stuff
- 20:16Speaker 1: they wasn't post say. He looked everybody was waiting to
- 20:19Speaker 1: see what he was going to say. He was the
- 20:21Speaker 1: guy from the Apprentice. Here was a reality show guy rich,
- 20:25Speaker 1: supposed to be upposed to be a what do you
- 20:30Speaker 1: come post? A real estate tycoon. But the problem with
- 20:34Speaker 1: Donald Trump, he's everything. So many people want to be
- 20:37Speaker 1: exactly famous, rich and women. Yeah, well there you go,
- 20:43Speaker 1: all right, Well we'll be watching it. Coming up next,
- 20:45Speaker 1: nephew in the building with run that prank back. Right
- 20:48Speaker 1: after this, you're listening. Coming up at the top of
- 20:54Speaker 1: the hour, miss Anne will be here with our national
- 20:56Speaker 1: news and then entertainment news. Cardie B pleads not guilty
- 21:00Speaker 1: in the Queen's New York courtroom. Donald Trump's third press
- 21:03Speaker 1: secretary is named. But right now, nephew, run that prank back.
- 21:08Speaker 1: What do you have for us tonight? Tonight? Today? Dear?
- 21:11Speaker 1: Did I say tonight? You did? That's because it's still
- 21:14Speaker 1: dark outside. Say it again. What do you have for
- 21:17Speaker 1: us today? There are condoms at the clean Oh this
- 21:23Speaker 1: one breaks are condoms at the cleaner. Feel so for
- 21:29Speaker 1: this one, don't feel for It's pranking time. Let's go
- 21:32Speaker 1: cat though. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach Tomka. This
- 21:39Speaker 1: is Shane. How are you doing. I'm I'm bred from
- 21:43Speaker 1: Quality Cleaners. I'm the manager over here. Uh huh. Listen, Um,
- 21:47Speaker 1: did you bring some clothes in this morning? No? I
- 21:51Speaker 1: didn't bring anything into you this morning. Okay, Well, listen,
- 21:54Speaker 1: we got an order that was dropped off this morning. Here.
- 21:58Speaker 1: It's a couple of suits, some business shirts and a
- 22:02Speaker 1: few other things. But there's actually been some articles actually
- 22:05Speaker 1: left in the clothing, so that down. Okay, he this morning,
- 22:12Speaker 1: it was dropped off like around seven this morning, but
- 22:15Speaker 1: we got it's got a let's work. It's like about
- 22:17Speaker 1: a hundred bucks cash in the pocket. There's a couple
- 22:20Speaker 1: of business cards. Uh, there's there's a cup link here.
- 22:23Speaker 1: I looked all over as only one cup link and
- 22:26Speaker 1: then there's two condoms in here. So I wanted to
- 22:28Speaker 1: see if you guys wanted me to put this in
- 22:30Speaker 1: a classic bag or something and have it have it?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Can you repeat what was left in there? Again? Well,
- 22:39Speaker 1: like I said, we got a it's like right out
- 22:41Speaker 1: of a hundred maybe hundred five bucks of cash. Uh,

- 26:00Speaker 1: I won't clean him. I'll just put him to the
- 26:02Speaker 1: side and I leave him in the same laundry bag

- 26:27Speaker 1: getting a little I radar you, Okay, I'm I'm I'm
- 26:31Speaker 1: gonna be all right. I am gonna be all right
- 26:34Speaker 1: when I get up there. Who Chris is gonna get?
- 26:38Speaker 1: That's all I got to say. You make sure you
- 26:40Speaker 1: have all that stuff not clean. I don't want you
- 26:42Speaker 1: to clean it. I want you to put all that
- 26:44Speaker 1: other that you said that you found in the pocket.
- 26:47Speaker 1: You put all that in the bag because Chris is
- 26:50Speaker 1: I don't know who you think. Okay, mister Tika, would

- 27:09Speaker 1: Chris is gonna get up. You just put everything in
- 27:12Speaker 1: the backside like I had asked you to. I am
- 27:14Speaker 1: all my way down there, and Chris, no, this ain't

- 27:21Speaker 1: man's that don't con those coming three and you know
- 27:24Speaker 1: what they're talking about. This that's what I'm not understand
- 27:28Speaker 1: that I know how to do my mas. Okay, Chris
- 27:31Speaker 1: is gonna get when you get him on tonight. Here's
- 27:35Speaker 1: here's something else in the pocket. Too. There's a note

- 27:40Speaker 1: I you know what? This has gotten way way out
- 27:42Speaker 1: of hand. I don't want to and you need a
- 27:45Speaker 1: quick tell Mannie in the pocket. What do you need
- 27:49Speaker 1: that to me? Not a fact? I want that in
- 27:51Speaker 1: the bad too. The more evidence I have, the better
- 27:54Speaker 1: off is gonna be for me. Uh what did the

- 29:04Speaker 1: All right, Look coming up at the top of the hour,
- 29:07Speaker 1: we'll have some entertainment news in a national news update
- 29:09Speaker 1: with miss Anne Tripp you're listening to all right. So,
- 29:16Speaker 1: fresh off her Album of the Year win at the
- 29:18Speaker 1: b ET Awards, Cardy B showed up at court in Queen's,
- 29:22Speaker 1: New York yesterday. Check out what she was wearing. I
- 29:25Speaker 1: am here for all of this wearing a navy blue
- 29:28Speaker 1: and pink pantsuit with matching what blue hair? What? Yes?
- 29:33Speaker 1: Cart No. The judge informed Carty that she was being
- 29:39Speaker 1: charged with the attempted assault in the second degree in
- 29:42Speaker 1: various other charges. The judge gabe Carty the option of
- 29:46Speaker 1: having all of her charges read aloud in court, and
- 29:49Speaker 1: her attorney said that would not be necessary. Carty then
- 29:52Speaker 1: voiced her plea and she said, not guilty, sir, honor,
- 29:59Speaker 1: Not guilty, sir, honor, sir. I like that. Oh I
- 30:04Speaker 1: look good? This blue is this blue is? Yeah? Can
- 30:06Speaker 1: you see it? I love the blue. That's sexy right now? Okay,
- 30:12Speaker 1: all right, Cardi B. Well if you could just pull
- 30:15Speaker 1: up a little bit, just a little okay, alright, Oh,
- 30:21Speaker 1: he's still saying exact you can hit him in a
- 30:27Speaker 1: courtroom right next and it sounds worse at a little
- 30:35Speaker 1: softer than that. Get him, Steve, Yeah, all right, Well
- 30:45Speaker 1: back to Cardi b h. This is a very serious
- 30:48Speaker 1: case and she could be looking it up to four
- 30:50Speaker 1: years in prison if convicted. Uh. In these attempted assault
- 30:54Speaker 1: charges of this past Saturday, during a b ET Awards performance,
- 30:58Speaker 1: Cardie told her fans, f you mean I ain't going
- 31:01Speaker 1: to jail. I got a daughter, you know what? Okay?
- 31:05Speaker 1: With Yes, you think I'd be saying the wrong thing,
- 31:13Speaker 1: I'm with you when you write nextewa, I know all right.
- 31:22Speaker 1: In political entertainment news, yesterday, the White House uh named
- 31:27Speaker 1: Stephanie Grisham it's new press secretary and communications director for
- 31:32Speaker 1: what I mean? Whist? Hey did not? But did I
- 31:35Speaker 1: not say that Sarah Huckabye Sanders was not gonna make it? Yeah,
- 31:42Speaker 1: you say, I can tell, but I knew. I saw
- 31:46Speaker 1: Spicer on here. I said this, dude gives a sick
- 31:48Speaker 1: of this right here? Yeah, but Sarah Sarah Huckabee. Uh no,
- 31:52Speaker 1: no, no no, no, no, who is a new person? Ain't
- 31:54Speaker 1: got her? Name is Stephanie hurt Oh. She's been with
- 32:00Speaker 1: Trump's campaign since two thy fifteen. She currently serves as
- 32:04Speaker 1: Millennia's chief of staff. Well, all they can do is
- 32:09Speaker 1: all they can do. Is make sure that they cut
- 32:11Speaker 1: out press conferences. If they cut out press conferences, he
- 32:14Speaker 1: can last make it. Yeah, if they only have like
- 32:17Speaker 1: what two a year in the rusty tweets, so she'll
- 32:19Speaker 1: be good. Yeah, okay a year and a half ago. Yeah,
- 32:25Speaker 1: can you make it to the finished land? What was Scaramucci?
- 32:27Speaker 1: I thought he he wasn't press secretary, he was something else.
- 32:30Speaker 1: I mean, I know he was eleven days. Yeah, but
- 32:34Speaker 1: but but he came out saying the roles yeah, oh yeah, yeah,
- 32:38Speaker 1: yeah yeah he did. Yeah. So anyway, um, yeah, there
- 32:42Speaker 1: you have. It's Stephanie Grisham. She's been with the Trump
- 32:45Speaker 1: campaign since two thousand and fifteen, been with the First
- 32:48Speaker 1: Ladies for a while. She's her chief of staff, or
- 32:50Speaker 1: she was. Now she's going to take over. So you know, Joe,
- 32:54Speaker 1: what is that her chief of staff? What are you?
- 32:56Speaker 1: What are they doing? Well? But you don't tell me.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Those people have big lives because she takes care of us.
- 33:05Speaker 1: She has a big light milan up what she does.
- 33:11Speaker 1: All right, I ain't been the white Let's go to
- 33:14Speaker 1: the Ladies and they'll say it. He will everybody. This
- 33:22Speaker 1: is answered but the news and it's hump day. The
- 33:25Speaker 1: Trump administration wants to tighten the economic screws on the
- 33:28Speaker 1: Iranian government, and the President's warning that if Iran attacks
- 33:31Speaker 1: anything American, that the US is going to respond with
- 33:34Speaker 1: quote great and overwhelming force. That's a quote, and that
- 33:37Speaker 1: in some cases that might mean here's another quote, obliteration.
- 33:40Speaker 1: The tensions between the US and Iran, you know, have
- 33:42Speaker 1: been escalating in recent weeks, Irani officials calling the latest
- 33:46Speaker 1: round of US sanctions against their country outrageous and idiotic.
- 33:50Speaker 1: President Trump, criticized over his administration's treatment of children in
- 33:54Speaker 1: detention centers, now says he's concerned about the conditions at
- 33:57Speaker 1: the border for young migrants detained by US authorities. And
- 34:01Speaker 1: now John Sanders, the acting Commissioner of Customs and Water Protection,
- 34:04Speaker 1: is resigning his post after investigators say they discovered some
- 34:08Speaker 1: three hundred migrant children being kept without adequate food, water, sanitation,
- 34:13Speaker 1: just just being given like cookies. Occasionally. Trump says that
- 34:17Speaker 1: the government needs to at least three billion dollars to
- 34:19Speaker 1: deal with the situation, and the Democrat control House of
- 34:22Speaker 1: Representatives did their best. Overnight they passed a bill providing
- 34:26Speaker 1: four and a half billion dollars an emergency aid to
- 34:28Speaker 1: care for thousands of migrant families and unaccompanied children detained
- 34:32Speaker 1: after crossing the border. Problem is the bill was passed
- 34:35Speaker 1: along party lines, in other words, with very little or
- 34:37Speaker 1: no help from Republicans. That sets up a showdown by
- 34:41Speaker 1: with the Republican dominated Senate, which may try to change
- 34:43Speaker 1: the measure a little bit before it gets to President Trump.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Looks like yesterday's Capitol Hill meeting went really well for
- 34:49Speaker 1: the nine one one responders and activists. They say they've
- 34:52Speaker 1: secured an agreement from Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell, saying
- 34:56Speaker 1: that he will call a vote on a measure that
- 34:58Speaker 1: would extend the Victims Compass A Fund. Lead activist John
- 35:02Speaker 1: Field says he got an assurance from the GOP Senate
- 35:04Speaker 1: leader that the Senate would vote on extending the bill
- 35:07Speaker 1: before August. Right now, the fund expires every five years.
- 35:10Speaker 1: It's been running out of money faster than expect it
- 35:12Speaker 1: because more people have been getting sick. Democratic control House
- 35:15Speaker 1: of Judiciary Committee has okay to bill that would extend
- 35:18Speaker 1: the fund until the year twenty ninety, but the full
- 35:21Speaker 1: House and Senate must still take that up. Tonight, the
- 35:24Speaker 1: Democrats hold their first debate with ten candidates on the
- 35:28Speaker 1: stage tonight. Then it will be ten others tomorrow night.
- 35:30Speaker 1: The lineups were chosen by random lottery among those on
- 35:34Speaker 1: the stage tonight New York City Mayor Bill Deblasio, Senator
- 35:37Speaker 1: Corey Booker, Senators Elizabeth Warren, Amy Koebischer, and bade Or
- 35:41Speaker 1: Walk that's tonight, than they have again ten others running
- 35:44Speaker 1: on the stage tomorrow. Former Special Prosecutor Robert Weller has
- 35:47Speaker 1: agreed to testify publicly now before both the House Judiciary
- 35:51Speaker 1: and Intelligence Committees on July seventeenth. We'll see what happens then.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I finally, today is each up Beans Day a little
- 36:00Speaker 1: please now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're
- 36:03Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, the fourth of July

- 36:49Speaker 1: next to meet me. Man, potatoes got some meeting. You're
- 36:57Speaker 1: gonna potatoes at it the whole time. The chaos salad
- 37:01Speaker 1: got needed it. They need not beat salad, beat grind
- 37:06Speaker 1: with meat. What you think you mate? Nuts? You won't
- 37:11Speaker 1: be a vegan when you leave? Wow? Put it dead way. Well,
- 37:14Speaker 1: at least at least you guys didn't panic. According to
- 37:21Speaker 1: a new survey, I put meat my ice tea. So
- 37:27Speaker 1: you're gonna ask you what about yeah, bacon ice cubes. Yeah. Well,
- 37:35Speaker 1: at least forty six percent of people panic when they
- 37:37Speaker 1: find out that vegans are coming to the house for
- 37:40Speaker 1: the barbecue. Seventy one percent say they hope they're guests
- 37:43Speaker 1: with dietary restrictions will be fine with carrots and celery
- 37:47Speaker 1: sticks and get by with what is already offered at
- 37:50Speaker 1: the barbecue. Oh look, I got roasted corn for you,
- 37:53Speaker 1: bell peppers, zucchini, uh, portobello, mushroom steaks. You know I
- 37:59Speaker 1: lay out Fifty seven percent of guests with dietary restrictions
- 38:04Speaker 1: say they have taken their own food to a barbecue. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 38:09Speaker 1: so don't don't. Don't come in here making faces. Yeah
- 38:15Speaker 1: all right, listen. Coming up at thirty four after the hour,
- 38:17Speaker 1: the Obamas are living their best lives. They're in Europe
- 38:22Speaker 1: on their summer vaca. Oh my goodness, they're doing it.
- 38:25Speaker 1: They're doing it real big. We'll talk about it at
- 38:27Speaker 1: thirty four after Right after this, you're listening to the
- 38:30Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. The Obamas are living it up
- 38:35Speaker 1: on their European summer vacation. Well. This past weekend, for example,
- 38:39Speaker 1: they had lunch with Bono and his wife on the
- 38:41Speaker 1: French riviera, Thank you very much, and Sasha and Malia
- 38:45Speaker 1: joined them. Barack and Bano have been friends for a
- 38:48Speaker 1: long long time, you know. Um. Next stop for the
- 38:51Speaker 1: Obamas was a visit to see George Clooney and his
- 38:53Speaker 1: wife Amul at their Italian villa on Lake Como for
- 38:57Speaker 1: a charity dinner. I mean, they're balling out control right.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Lake Como's mayor implemented a three hundred foot exclusion zone
- 39:05Speaker 1: for the Obama Obama's visit boats were banned from approaching
- 39:08Speaker 1: within three hundred feet of Cluney's villa, and a tiny
- 39:12Speaker 1: beach near the villa was cut was deemed off limits.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Even pedestrians were banned from walking past the property. Wow,
- 39:20Speaker 1: is he more famous now than when he was in office.
- 39:24Speaker 1: He was in office, it would have been way, way worse.
- 39:27Speaker 1: I know, I know. The Obamas have been spotted on
- 39:30Speaker 1: private yachts and French Polynesia, spending time with Richard Branson
- 39:33Speaker 1: on his private island, and doing a bit of shopping
- 39:36Speaker 1: in Italy. So, Steve, do you think he misses the
- 39:39Speaker 1: White House at all? I mean, yeah, he don't miss nothing.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Battle He's so happy right now now he would he
- 39:48Speaker 1: have made all that money on that book. They got
- 39:50Speaker 1: investments to men, they live in their best the best thing,
- 39:53Speaker 1: greatest day of his life, the best two days of
- 39:56Speaker 1: his life becoming president in the United States and not

- 40:05Speaker 1: vacation next week, right girl? How excited are you? Sir?
- 40:15Speaker 1: Shake it just girl, I'm shaking. Let us live vicariously

- 40:27Speaker 1: we come. Now. I ain't got nothing to do with clooney.
- 40:29Speaker 1: I'm not going over Lake Cuomo. I'm standing out in
- 40:31Speaker 1: a big water. I will not be up there in
- 40:34Speaker 1: Lake Cuomo. It's stunningly gorgeous up there, but stunningly gorgeous.
- 40:40Speaker 1: But you're gonna be on the French Riviera and Italian
- 40:43Speaker 1: Riviera and the Mafi Coast and Croatia and Sicily. I'm
- 40:49Speaker 1: going down there and over the Sardinia and Corsica. Now

- 40:56Speaker 1: do you doc and get out? And yeah yeah, yeah
- 40:58Speaker 1: a lot of times a lot of times, but I
- 41:01Speaker 1: like like like we like more like staying out now,
- 41:05Speaker 1: you know, we take the tender end. Were like waking
- 41:07Speaker 1: up on the water coffee and you have a private chef,
- 41:12Speaker 1: right and everything you eat as fresh you're tell yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,

- 53:06Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here. It is de Strawberry letter,
- 53:09Speaker 1: subject my husband is such a dummy. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 53:13Speaker 1: I've been married for twenty years, and it's been the
- 53:16Speaker 1: longest twenty years ever. Neither of us has been perfect
- 53:20Speaker 1: in the marriage. But I got myself together and I
- 53:25Speaker 1: was hoping that my dumb as husband did too. Huh,
- 53:30Speaker 1: But it seems like there are far too many ways
- 53:32Speaker 1: for him to do his dirty deeds. Now. About three
- 53:35Speaker 1: months ago, he sent me a text that was intended
- 53:38Speaker 1: for someone else he wanted to meet up after work.
- 53:41Speaker 1: I busted him, and he lied and said that the
- 53:45Speaker 1: text was for me and he was trying something new
- 53:48Speaker 1: to keep our marriage interesting. I knew he was lying,
- 53:51Speaker 1: so I started paying close attention to his daily called
- 53:54Speaker 1: logs on the cell phone bill. He was dialing all
- 53:57Speaker 1: kinds of numbers that I had never seen before for
- 54:00Speaker 1: I didn't ask him about it because I needed more proof. Then,
- 54:04Speaker 1: by looking at his phone, I noticed that he downloaded
- 54:07Speaker 1: a new app that allows him to talk and video
- 54:09Speaker 1: chat with people without its showing up on the cell
- 54:13Speaker 1: bill cell phone bill, then I realized he was on
- 54:16Speaker 1: social media, liking pictures of half dressed women, commenting on
- 54:22Speaker 1: how nice and fine they are, and sending these women
- 54:27Speaker 1: direct messages. He was demming them. When I confronted him
- 54:32Speaker 1: with everything, he swore that it's all innocent fun and
- 54:36Speaker 1: he's not trying to be sneaky. He said he never
- 54:39Speaker 1: had planned to meet up with any of those women.
- 54:42Speaker 1: I paid the cell phone bills, so I told him
- 54:45Speaker 1: that I'm going to have his cell phone deactivate it
- 54:47Speaker 1: and he will not have access to any apps or
- 54:50Speaker 1: social media. He almost lost it when I said that,
- 54:54Speaker 1: which confirms my suspicions. Okay, she pays the cell phone bills. Okay,
- 55:03Speaker 1: so she told him that she's going to have his
- 55:06Speaker 1: phone deactivated and he will not have access to any
- 55:09Speaker 1: apps or social media. He almost lost it when I
- 55:14Speaker 1: said that, which confirms my suspicions. If my gut feelings
- 55:18Speaker 1: are right and he's cheating again, I'm out of here.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Do you think I'm just tripping or blowing this out
- 55:23Speaker 1: of proportion? Please help? Well, you definitely have a few
- 55:29Speaker 1: things that are definitely caused for a concern here, and
- 55:32Speaker 1: really more than that. First, the text you mentioned in
- 55:35Speaker 1: the letter that he sent to you by mistake. You
- 55:38Speaker 1: knew it was intended for someone else. You knew he
- 55:40Speaker 1: was lying. He tried to cover it up, saying that
- 55:42Speaker 1: you know he wanted to try something new in the marriage.
- 55:44Speaker 1: You knew that was a lie. Also, the new app
- 55:47Speaker 1: he has where he can video chat and like pictures
- 55:50Speaker 1: and DM people, that's another clue. And of course your
- 55:53Speaker 1: gut feeling. You know what they say, always trust your
- 55:57Speaker 1: gut right. Well, after twenty years, you know your man,
- 56:00Speaker 1: you know his habits, you know how he moves, so
- 56:03Speaker 1: you know when he's telling the truth, and you know
- 56:05Speaker 1: when he's lying. All through this letter he has done
- 56:09Speaker 1: nothing but lie, and you've caught him. So you ask us,
- 56:13Speaker 1: are you tripping? And are you blowing things out of proportion?
- 56:16Speaker 1: You know, I say, trust yourself, trust your instincts. No,
- 56:21Speaker 1: I don't think you're blowing things out of proportion. I
- 56:23Speaker 1: don't think you're tripping at all. I think your husband
- 56:26Speaker 1: is tripping. I think he's tripping. He's the one that's
- 56:29Speaker 1: out of control here with all of this. You say,
- 56:32Speaker 1: if you if your gut feelings are right, and you
- 56:34Speaker 1: find out he's cheating again, you're out of there. So
- 56:38Speaker 1: it looks like you know, you better start packing your bags.
- 56:41Speaker 1: You don't have any concrete proof now, but it looks
- 56:43Speaker 1: like it might be coming, so get ready. Steve, Wow,
- 56:50Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you. You've been married
- 56:52Speaker 1: for twenty years, you said has been the longest twenty
- 56:56Speaker 1: He is evil. I mean, damn, neither one of y'all
- 57:00Speaker 1: been perfect in the marriage. I mean, you didn't tripped
- 57:02Speaker 1: in need and trip, but then you say you got
- 57:05Speaker 1: yours together, and then you was hoping he did. But
- 57:08Speaker 1: now it's tech causing technologists just too many ways for
- 57:11Speaker 1: him to be out there tripping. So he sent this
- 57:15Speaker 1: text about three months ago that was intended for somebody else, said,
- 57:20Speaker 1: you know, to meet up for after work. Well then
- 57:23Speaker 1: you busted him. Now here's what he did. Though. After
- 57:27Speaker 1: you busted him, you said that he said that was
- 57:32Speaker 1: for you. He was trying to keep new things in
- 57:35Speaker 1: that man. I sent that that you. I just told
- 57:38Speaker 1: you that. I just act like I ain't know. I
- 57:41Speaker 1: knew he was lying. So then you started watching the
- 57:45Speaker 1: call log on the cell phone. Didn't all kinds of
- 57:49Speaker 1: numbers on that, you know, But now you're snooping. So
- 57:53Speaker 1: you didn't want to bust him right away. But you
- 57:56Speaker 1: started looking at his phone that he had downloaded a
- 57:59Speaker 1: new out that allows him to talk and video chat
- 58:03Speaker 1: with people without his showing up on the cell phone bill.
- 58:06Speaker 1: Now that's curious to me. A video phone call is
- 58:11Speaker 1: different on your cell phone bill? Uh? Is it the WhatsApp? WhatsApp?
- 58:18Speaker 1: I think it's WhatsApp Steve. She didn't say that, but
- 58:20Speaker 1: it's probably what you mean. No, nephews, seems like he
- 58:24Speaker 1: has some insight on this. What was that married man? Okay?
- 58:29Speaker 1: Then okay, inside boys outside boys crazy? This boy is
- 58:38Speaker 1: give give year, definitely years like the last to be
- 58:44Speaker 1: the lonest that allows him to talk in video chat
- 58:49Speaker 1: with people without his showing up on cell phone bill. Oh,
- 58:52Speaker 1: I see what you're talking about. That must be boy said.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Then I realized he was on social media liking pictures
- 58:58Speaker 1: of half dressed women. Come in on house and find
- 59:01Speaker 1: a sending these women dms here. When you confronted it,
- 59:06Speaker 1: and he swore he was innocent. He's need. He ain't
- 59:10Speaker 1: playing on me with no new women. I just said
- 59:12Speaker 1: I won't. How did he say it? I'm just saying
- 59:15Speaker 1: I ain't gonna beat up with nobody. I just said,
- 59:17Speaker 1: I have won it too. Girl, you tripping? Yeah right?
- 59:22Speaker 1: You don't see me over there? And now do you?
- 59:24Speaker 1: All right, hold on, Steve, we'll have part two of
- 59:26Speaker 1: your response coming up at twenty three after the hour.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Subject of today's strawberry letter my husband is such a dummy.
- 59:34Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this you're listening

- 1:00:08Speaker 1: to meet up after the work. I busted him. He
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: lied and said that the text was from me and
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: he was trying to gil gil a text for you.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: What's his name? Girl? Oh? Tell me the dude's name

- 1:01:07Speaker 1: come in on how nice and fine they are, and
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: sending these women direct messages. Then when I confronted, when

- 1:02:00Speaker 1: a job, he should pay his own cell phone. There.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: If my gut feelings are right and he's cheating again,
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: I am out of him. Do you think I'm just
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: tripping and blowing this out of proportion? Okay, let me

- 1:02:50Speaker 1: if you're looking for a reason to stay with him, man,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: they're just gonna stay with him. You got twenty years in.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: You could use that one people like to use I
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: got twenty years in, Like that's supposed to have value
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: to it when they after that if something had gone bad,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: didn't it was a season for it. You know, Some
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: racing relationships are just for seasons. It's just you didn't
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: blow that part in in your life. You look back
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: on it, you got some good times out of them
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: twenty even though it was the longest you ever had.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: You know your husband had dummy. But if he done
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: what they make you though, because you're staying with him
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: and you're good telling you what he's doing man to Really,

- 1:04:45Speaker 1: is reserved for prank phone called now his anger management
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: problem that carries over but he don't have to deal
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: with his anger management in pranks. His stupidity is for pranks. Now,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: his angle management, that's other areas of life, and that's
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: not really stupidity. That's angle managed. Okay, aren't we getting

- 1:05:55Speaker 1: trending topics that's coming up right after this. You're listening
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Steve hard Morning Show. So, guys, friend to the show.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: Mike Epps, he's our friend. We love him. Mike Epps
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: is married. He's a married man yet again and graduated. Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: On Sunday night, Mike married Kyra Robinson. She's from Chicago.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: She's a TV producer. He married her at the luxurious
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Pelican Hill resort in Newport Beach, California. The couple had
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: been dating for two years. They went exactly where they
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: got married. Uh huh, Yeah, they've been dating for two years.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: They went public shortly after Mike and his first wife, Michelle,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: got divorced in two seven, twenty seventeen. Ti left the
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Beet Awards on Sunday night to be at the wedding
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Snoop Dogg and Cedric Cedric the entertainer. See, they skipped
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: the awards altogether so they wouldn't miss the wedding. Earthquake
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: was there, our bo Earthquirk was there as well. And
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: get this Dougie Fresh and the whisperers, Tommy, can you
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: say that the whip right performed at the reception? So
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: we have to say congratulations to to Mike and his
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: new bride. They look beautiful together. She's gorgeous, right go ahead, mate, Yeah,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: So here's an interesting story. We mentioned that Mike EPP's
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: wife is from Chicago. Well, Illinois is now the eleventh
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: state in the US to legalize the purchase and possession
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: of recreational marijuana. Wow, okay, yeah, yeah, we gotta say
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: shout out to our friends at B one oh three,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: that's our radio family in Chicago. Where were you going
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: to say? So it means it's not it's not medical,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: it's recreational. Yeah, recreational. Oh man, yeah, might calm a
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: lot of things down. Yes, let's hope Governor Pritzker they're
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: signed the bill tuesday. It allows adults twenty one and
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: over to buy and possess small amount of marijuana. Adults
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: will be able to purchase and possession. Adults will be
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: able to purchase and possess thirty grams of cannabis, five
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: grams of cannabis concentrate, and cannabis infused products containing no
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: more than five hundred milligrams of THHC. That's a lot
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: of week, that is it. I mean, I don't know.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Five hundred milligrams sounds like a lot concentrate, so a lot. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: that's a lot. Under the law, medical patients to speak
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: to your question, Junior would be permitted to buy marijuana
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: seeds and grow up to five plants at home, so
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: long as the plants are kept out of public view.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: So there you go. You ain't being backday and coming
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: coming up at the top of coming up at the
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: top of the hour. Steve, we're going to talk about
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: the proposed federal wealth tax that's coming up right after this.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: You're listening to show well. Abigail Disney, that is a
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: gra daughter of a Disney World co founder and heiress
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: to the Disney fortune. She's among a group of nineteen
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: ultra wealthy Americans who signed a letter on Monday asking
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: presidential candidates to support a federal wealth tax. The letter
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: states said America has a moral, ethical, and economic responsibility
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: to tax our wealth more. The wealth tax could help
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: address the climate crisis, improve the economy, improve health outcomes,
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: and strengthen our democratic freedoms. The letter was published in
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: The New York Times on Monday. Miss Disney joined CNN's
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Don Lemon to discuss the federal wealth tax, noting that
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: we're creating a super class that is so far above
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: the vast majority of people that they don't share the
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: same planet or the same reality as working class Americans.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: She added that forty seven percent of people cannot cope
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: with being hit with even a four hundred dollars emergency.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: She's saying, I don't think that the people who are
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: on their private jets are living in incredible riches. Can
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: even begin to digest what it means to not have
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: four hundred dollars for an emergency. So Steve, I gotta
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: ask you, what do you think? I mean, you know,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: what do you think about what she's saying about the
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: federal wealth tax? I mean, you know she can say
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: what she want to say, enohing to do that. I mean,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: you know you could say what you want to say.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Here's a problem. No one. No one is paying all
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: of their taxes, no one, and they know that. And
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: you just can't go. Look, man, I don't know how
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: you punish a person more for being more successful. I
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: don't know how you keep doing that. You already put
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: them in a forty percent tax back. You know, if
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: you put them in a forty percent tax back, and
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: how much more can you tax him? I mean, I
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: just don't know how to do that, you know, I
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: just don't know how to do it. For every dollar
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: you make, plus if you put in the if you
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: put in the state taxes and all your franchise taxes
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: that you have to pay, you had fifty percent better.
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: So if your dollar you make, you got to send
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: fifty cent to the government. That's that's you're asking a
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: lot of people. What about them? The statements that she
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: made about forty seven forty seven percent of people and
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: that's almost half can't cope with being hit with a
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: four hundred dollars emergency. I understand that, man, I've been
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: in that position many times. Yeah. Yeah, but it's it's
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: nobody else's fault that I didn't have that. I couldn't
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: blame you, surely, Like if you were working and you make,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: you know a lot more money than I do, and
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: I don't have four hundred dollars, I can't expect you
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: to get that to me just because I don't have it,
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: you know, or I can't go to time. I mean, go, hey, man,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: look you make it more to me. I ain't got this.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I want you to give me yours, just the first art.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: I know you can you dream a little bit. It
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: was just it was just believed. Yeah. Yeah. Her letters
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: stated that America has a moral, ethical, and economic responsibility
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: to tax our wealth more Steve are wealthy? More? Um?
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: Who is who is this person? She's Nabigel Disney, the
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: granddaughter of Disney World co founder. But you know much
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: money she got Disney's Hey, Now, look, if you want
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: to if you want to pay some more Texas, go ahead.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Matter of fact, just send it in, all right. Coming
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: minutes after the hour. Right after this you're listening show,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Team USA Soccer superstar Megan Rappano is making it crystal
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: clear that if the US wins the World Cup, she says,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: there's no way in hell she's visiting Donald Trump at
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: the White House. She said, she said, this is what
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: she said. I'm not going to the effing White House.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: She added, We're not going to be invited. And she's
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: probably right about that because Megan and her Team USA
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Soccer teammates have been very outspoken when it comes to
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: their disapproval of the President. You may have heard that
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Rappano has been very political in the past. She was
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: the first white pro athlete in America to take a
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: knee during the national anthem, following Carlin Kaepernick's lead. She
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: no longer takes a knee, but Megan doesn't put her
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: hand over her heart or sing along with the lyrics
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: of the national anthem either, So there you go. She's
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: not going. She says, I'm not going to the effing
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: White House. That's a quote shirt and in fact, we're
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: not gonna be invited. Is Toronto gonna go Toronto? What
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I'm going to go to the White US after winning
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: via NBA Championship. NBA Championship. Well, they from Canada, So
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: what do go on up there for? Okay, just throwing
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: it out there because they're in the NBA. Yeah, well,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: I mean, you know, to get to get some burger
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: king at McDonald's food. Yeah, all right, listen, we'll have
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: more of a show Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: at thirty three after the hour you're listening to show. Well, well.

- 1:14:51Speaker 1: with a total of twenty candidates ten each night. Candidates
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: had to qualify to be invited. And to qualify, yeah,
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: you had to get sixty five thousand donors to contribute
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: to their campaign with two hundred donors from at least
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: twenty different states, or they had to receive one percent
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: of support in three polls. The d n C deems

- 1:19:25Speaker 1: you have great kids. To Tommy, Hey, Sydney Hay, Jordan.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: Hey Jackie, Jackie is going today to uh family. Few
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: surveys top surveys on the board, so she going to
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: see He don't know they yet, but you'll see us now.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: Don't tell them, don't tell him. I ain't gonna remember
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: to already to tell Loco I'm coming act. I ain't
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: sitting over there now. She's got friends Twitter probably just one. Yeah,
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: oh yeah, I blow up there. She ain't coming in there' garage.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: She ain't rolling deep like that. She usually be three
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: fo deep. I saw it. That's as well. Years I
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: was trying to get over that. I said, your husband
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: got your time. I went out and had some friends. Boy,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: when I opened up that damn gave me about six
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: women came in out. I thought she had one girl
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: here about six. All right, time for your clothing ready, Yeah,
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: I got it. You know, UM, I want to talk
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: to you about something today. Um. I talked to so
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: many young people man, and they have some really, really
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: wonderful ideas. I talked to some young kids at my
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: mentoring camp and they were talking about all these ideas.
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: Here was a thing that happened, and this is a
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: true story. I used to really harp on haircuts at
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: the camp. You know, get yourself a hair cut, had
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: JT's barber's college would be down there. And over the years,
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: I've changed that because so many of the kids have dreads,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: so many of the kids have so many braids and
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: stuff in their hair. Mister Harvey, this way we're doing
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: it now. So I accepted. You know, I gotta I
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: gotta go with it, so I don't push haircuts like
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I used to. I was in the barbershop with JT
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: at the mentoring camp and his young kid eighteen years old.
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: He was telling me his plan was to go to college.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: So I ask him, what did you wanted to be?
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: And he had an attorney. Nah, he didn't have dreads.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: He just had his hair plaided you know, my little
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: girls used to make their hair loop and they put
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: barettes on the end. Well his didn't do that. They're
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: kind of fat, and he just had them kind of
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: sticking straight out and they looped down a little bit.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: I said, so, what's your plan when you go to school,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: young man? He said, I don't be a lawyer, a
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: defense lawyer. I said, really, I said, looking like that,
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: he said, yeah, yeah, yeah, mister Harvey, just how I want.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: I said, man, y'all think about that. He said, uh,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: he said, what do you mean. I said, well, think
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: about your appearance if you're gonna be an attorney. He said,
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: mister Harby, no disrespect, but that's racism, and that's what
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: we're trying to get, trying to stop people from dick
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: taking us how our hairs should be. I said, you're
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: exactly right, young man, that's exactly what that is. It's
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: racially biased towards us, it's culturally biased towards us. It's
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: that way. I said, But let me ask you a question.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: I know you want to be a defense lawyer. I say,
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: but let's say you're on trial for m robbery in possession. Man,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: mister Harmer, ain't never done like that. I said, we're
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: just using it for a hypothetical situation. Let's just see
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: you on trial. And some of the barber's were over there,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: and a couple of the barber's head dreadlocks, and this
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: older barber he was just a regular cut dude with
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: salton pepper hair. And JT was over there, and this
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: other little Latino kid. That's why I said, look over there, man,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: I said, just by looking, I said, just by appearances.
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: If you are on trial for possession and intent an
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: arm robbery, what's one of those men over there with
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: you like to be your lawyer? He looked over there,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: and he picked the older guy with the care cut.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: I said, while you picked him? He said, because he
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: looked he looked like he'll be serious. I said, I said,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: I commune and picked his kid with the dreads. Now
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: I'm hard. He looked like me. I said, well, don't
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: you want to be a lawyer? He said, yeah. But
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: if I'm in trouble, man, I got to go in
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: there looking with somebody a little bit more squab. I said, well, sir,
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: let's just think about what you just said for a minute.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: If that's how you would select a person I said,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: how do you think other people view it? I said,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: so listen to me, son, It's not always about what
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: you want to do, because what you're saying is absolutely correct,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: and I hope you do change American the way it's thinking,
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: but the way it is now. I said, Man, just
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: get to where you're trying to get to and you
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: can make a lot more changes that way. I said,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: So just remember that, brother, Just remember sometimes you got
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: to you got to get in there and do what
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: you're uncomfortable doing in order to get to the point
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: of comfort that you want to be to. That's all
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: I wanted to say to him. We at a time. Y'all,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: have a great weekend, see you tomorrow. For all Steve
