- 0:15Speaker 1: like American buck things. And it's not me true good
- 0:20Speaker 1: it Steve har listening to move to other STU please moy,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join by joining me. You gotta use that turn.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You gotta turn to turn them out. Turn't got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out. Then turn the water the water. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your baby daddy, uh I show well, good
- 2:03Speaker 1: morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now, one and all is Steve Harvey got
- 2:09Speaker 1: a radio show particular me this morning. Steve Harvey got
- 2:15Speaker 1: a radio show. Feel with nothing but joy and hope
- 2:20Speaker 1: about it too. You know, it's a great thing to
- 2:22Speaker 1: be able to wake up in the morning with peace
- 2:25Speaker 1: in your heart and joy. Peace and joy is is immeasurable.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It has a value attached to it, and I have
- 2:33Speaker 1: no idea what it is. It's invaluable. It is worth
- 2:37Speaker 1: so much more than than any amount of money you
- 2:39Speaker 1: can make. Peace and joy. I have not always had that.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I have not always been a peaceful person or a
- 2:49Speaker 1: person who lived his life in a joy spirit. It
- 2:54Speaker 1: took an arrival at this moment. Some people arrive sooner
- 2:57Speaker 1: than others. I wish I had arrived at this point sooner,
- 3:03Speaker 1: but I think it was necessary for me to learn
- 3:05Speaker 1: a few things too. That's the amazing thing I've learned
- 3:10Speaker 1: about life is that instead of reflecting on your past
- 3:16Speaker 1: incidences and calling them failures, instead of focusing on the
- 3:21Speaker 1: negative and calling them bad times, I look at them
- 3:26Speaker 1: now as experiences. I had to have those experiences that
- 3:31Speaker 1: were negative, that were good, positive, wrong, even I had
- 3:36Speaker 1: to have all those experiences to become to shape who
- 3:43Speaker 1: we are today. We all have to have them. If
- 3:46Speaker 1: you look back at all the negative experiences you've had,
- 3:49Speaker 1: all the things that you called failures, all the businesses
- 3:54Speaker 1: I started that went under, all of the jobs I
- 3:56Speaker 1: had that I was fired from, all the shows that
- 4:00Speaker 1: were canceled, all of the times I thought I was
- 4:03Speaker 1: gonna get something happened in my way and turned out
- 4:06Speaker 1: I didn't get it at all. When you look at
- 4:08Speaker 1: all of it, all of it, hopefully along the way,
- 4:13Speaker 1: what you have done as a person is you've taken
- 4:15Speaker 1: those negatives and those failures and you've used them for
- 4:20Speaker 1: what they actually are. They are experiences and they've now
- 4:24Speaker 1: created in you an experienced person, and you know that
- 4:30Speaker 1: is worth something. That's then it becomes a positive. But
- 4:36Speaker 1: what too many people do is they let the negative
- 4:39Speaker 1: things that have happened in their life. They allow the
- 4:41Speaker 1: failures that have happened in them lives never to manifest
- 4:45Speaker 1: themselves as experiences. And you sit up there and you
- 4:49Speaker 1: dwell on it, and you dwell on it until you
- 4:51Speaker 1: have this woe is me attitude. Stop looking at it
- 4:55Speaker 1: like that, y'all. You go through things in order to
- 4:59Speaker 1: become the person that you are today. I'll tell you
- 5:02Speaker 1: who you sometimes have to sit down and talk to.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Sometimes you are to sit down to an inmate that
- 5:07Speaker 1: really gets it, an inmate that says, man, I've actually
- 5:11Speaker 1: heard inmates say it to me and write to me,
- 5:13Speaker 1: and they've said things like, man, coming to prison, save
- 5:18Speaker 1: my life. Now those of you have never gone, how
- 5:20Speaker 1: can he say a thing like that? But some men, no, Man,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I was so far out there that if I had
- 5:27Speaker 1: stayed out there, I wouldn't even be here today. This
- 5:29Speaker 1: actually allowed me to stop, spend some time with myself
- 5:32Speaker 1: and learn some things about me. Now does that happen
- 5:35Speaker 1: for everybody like that? Now? But here's a person who
- 5:39Speaker 1: was taking an experience that could be considered a failure
- 5:42Speaker 1: or a negative and turning it into a positive and
- 5:45Speaker 1: using it to enrich their lives. You can do it
- 5:48Speaker 1: no matter what your set of circumstances is. I recommend
- 5:51Speaker 1: to everybody that you try changing your outlook in order
- 5:55Speaker 1: to change your outcome. Everything that happens to you that's
- 5:58Speaker 1: negative or you consider failure their experiences. You've got to
- 6:02Speaker 1: go through these things in order to have the knowledge
- 6:04Speaker 1: that you have today. So I wish that I had
- 6:07Speaker 1: come to this arrival that I may now this place
- 6:10Speaker 1: of peace and joy. But then guess what, I would
- 6:13Speaker 1: not know what I know. I could not share some
- 6:16Speaker 1: of the things that I'm able to share if I
- 6:19Speaker 1: had not gone through some of them. And sometimes that's
- 6:22Speaker 1: the purpose of them, is to teach you a lesson
- 6:24Speaker 1: because you know, God has a plan for you, He
- 6:26Speaker 1: really really does. And eventually he can use you no
- 6:30Speaker 1: matter how old you are, and he can use you
- 6:32Speaker 1: no matter how young you are. If you just say, Okay,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I'm ready to hear your plan. I've tried mine, mine
- 6:39Speaker 1: ain't worked out. What's your plan for me? God? What
- 6:42Speaker 1: do you want me to do. That's why I say
- 6:45Speaker 1: every day Steve Harvey Got radio show, y'all, because man,
- 6:48Speaker 1: I ain't see it coming. I didn't see that coming.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I ain't see this book coming. I ain't seen I
- 6:53Speaker 1: ain't seen it. Half of the amazing things that are
- 6:55Speaker 1: happened to me, I didn't plan them. I was sitting there,
- 6:59Speaker 1: man as skin, God for some direction, and then I
- 7:03Speaker 1: got smart enough to stay watchful, be a hard worker
- 7:06Speaker 1: now because faithful, our works is dead, and it came.
- 7:09Speaker 1: And I remind you of this. God has given all
- 7:12Speaker 1: of you a gift. Every last one of you listening
- 7:15Speaker 1: has a gift. God has never created a soul that
- 7:18Speaker 1: he did not provide a gift to. God gives everyone
- 7:21Speaker 1: a gift, and a gift is not just singing, rapping entertainment.
- 7:27Speaker 1: The richer gifts are much more than that. Teachers are
- 7:30Speaker 1: gifted people who really have the gift of sharing information.
- 7:33Speaker 1: That's a gift, you know, and in that you can
- 7:37Speaker 1: become great. You know a lot of people people think
- 7:44Speaker 1: that successful and greatness is the same thing. Cornell West
- 7:48Speaker 1: said it at my daughter's graduation. He was a spokesperson.
- 7:51Speaker 1: He said something so pointed. He said don't ever confuse
- 7:54Speaker 1: success with greatness. The two have nothing to do with
- 7:58Speaker 1: each other. See people determined success about money and fame
- 8:01Speaker 1: and all this here, but greatness. Greatness ain't got nothing
- 8:05Speaker 1: to do with your money. It ain't got nothing to
- 8:07Speaker 1: do with your fame. It's how you conduct your life.
- 8:10Speaker 1: It's how meaningful and significant you become in your community,
- 8:15Speaker 1: at your church, on your job, to the cub Scout
- 8:19Speaker 1: unit that you run, to the little girls lives that
- 8:21Speaker 1: you change, that that little center in the hood. Who
- 8:24Speaker 1: are you just one place of hope to so many people?
- 8:27Speaker 1: And they come back. And I used the example of
- 8:29Speaker 1: lou Danzler who passed away in LA who had the
- 8:32Speaker 1: Boys and Girls Challenges Club out in LA. And he
- 8:35Speaker 1: wasn't a rich man at all, and if you walk
- 8:38Speaker 1: by him, you wouldn't even know who he was. But
- 8:40Speaker 1: if you look at all the people who have gone
- 8:42Speaker 1: on to become politicians, who have gone on to become CEO's,
- 8:46Speaker 1: who have gone on to become athletes, that have passed
- 8:49Speaker 1: through this man's small building in the hood in La,
- 8:53Speaker 1: he was a great trust me man prad changes things,
- 8:57Speaker 1: I said all the time. But when you see people,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I'm successful or great that somebody praying somewhere may not
- 9:03Speaker 1: even beat them. Maybe it's day Mama. You know, I
- 9:06Speaker 1: think of Tiger Woods and all the greatness he's accomplished.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You know they always talk about as farther than all
- 9:11Speaker 1: this here, somebody somewhere praying for Tiger Woods. I got
- 9:16Speaker 1: cash money riding on that Tiger Woods. Mama is a
- 9:19Speaker 1: praying woman or something. My mother was. She prayed me
- 9:22Speaker 1: into this place because she should call me all the time.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Praying for your boy and prayer changes things. It really does.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Try it today. It can change you. It has changed
- 9:33Speaker 1: millions of people. Open up yourself to the greatness that's
- 9:36Speaker 1: in you because God is giving you a gift. Now
- 9:39Speaker 1: the fact that you ain't using it. Who fought you
- 9:41Speaker 1: think that is? I'm just telling you you got one,
- 9:44Speaker 1: and if you start praying about it, it'll manifest itself
- 9:48Speaker 1: and you can become one or two things, successful or
- 9:52Speaker 1: great or both. You can make the decision. Today Morning show,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, now have your attention, please Steve Harvey
- 10:07Speaker 1: Morning Show of the International Steve Harvey Morning Show that
- 10:12Speaker 1: brings you snippets or far away places to gently place
- 10:18Speaker 1: it in your faces so that you might then incorporate
- 10:23Speaker 1: it into your imagination and see the things that are
- 10:28Speaker 1: possible for you. You don't have to do exactly what
- 10:32Speaker 1: I do, but you do want to be capable of
- 10:35Speaker 1: doing the things that you can do. Live your life
- 10:39Speaker 1: in possibilities. Get out of probabilities, because probability means as
- 10:44Speaker 1: a probability that it probably won't happen. Possibility means it's possible. Period.
- 10:52Speaker 1: This show is dedicated to people who are living their
- 10:56Speaker 1: life in the possibility that that's what I am. Ladies
- 11:01Speaker 1: and gentlemen. Steve Harvey Morning Show, Shirley Strawberry, Good morning, Steve,
- 11:06Speaker 1: Living my best life. Carlin Ferrell, Good morning. What's up? Crew?
- 11:13Speaker 1: Junior Ball Morning, un International, Mental One and Only Nephew.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Prommit possibility, Baby, It's the possibility that's all I live
- 11:24Speaker 1: my life, and it's possibilities. Probabilities had Lee's room for,
- 11:30Speaker 1: you know, the probability of it happening, you know, and
- 11:34Speaker 1: probability start out all sounding like problem. Yeah, yeah, yeah, dude,
- 11:40Speaker 1: ask why you know the definition could be close to
- 11:43Speaker 1: the saint. But probability, you know, because every time I
- 11:48Speaker 1: hear somebody probably it probably ain't gonna have as long
- 11:52Speaker 1: as you wake up and you breathe, it's possible. It's possible.
- 11:57Speaker 1: With that being said of me and my way decided
- 12:01Speaker 1: that we didn't want to have no kids. So late
- 12:05Speaker 1: on the night we haven't done. We're letting them know.
- 12:07Speaker 1: That's it. We threw with y'all. Oh, you don't want
- 12:10Speaker 1: to have the ward you got, you don't want you return.
- 12:17Speaker 1: You know, tell me they don't leave probably fifteen, fifteen,
- 12:30Speaker 1: twenty times. You got experience in this team. Oh boy,
- 12:36Speaker 1: I can tell you mine thirty seven all the way
- 12:40Speaker 1: down to twenty two. And I'm telling you, yes, sometimes
- 12:46Speaker 1: you heard that. Just give me two hundred. I'm get
- 12:48Speaker 1: back to your Nick, just Nick Friday. Then I got you, Okay.
- 12:53Speaker 1: I wish it was two hundred. Yeah, I give you
- 12:57Speaker 1: two hundred just to get away from me him. But
- 13:01Speaker 1: does it work that way? You apparent to the day
- 13:04Speaker 1: you leave this earth? Amen to that. And coming up
- 13:07Speaker 1: at thirty two minutes after the hour, Um, Steve is
- 13:11Speaker 1: out of the country. He's in Dubai. Uh and we'll
- 13:15Speaker 1: Shajar shar sharga charger, Yeah, charger charger, who charger charger
- 13:25Speaker 1: one of the seven Emirates of the UAE. That's why
- 13:28Speaker 1: I'm at the International Book Fair. Okay, all right, all right,
- 13:33Speaker 1: we'll find out tonight's Halloween, Big night for everybody who
- 13:38Speaker 1: celebrates Halloween. We'll talk about that right after this. You're
- 13:44Speaker 1: listening to show, all right, Steve, We're gonna start with you. Uh.
- 13:50Speaker 1: You're in set against Sharja sharjah. Yeah, just just say
- 13:55Speaker 1: it best you can because you're confusing me. Sharga s
- 14:01Speaker 1: h a r j a h ok use it in
- 14:04Speaker 1: a sentence. I'm in I um. I was invited here
- 14:16Speaker 1: to come because well, my books have gone international, so
- 14:23Speaker 1: I got invited. I am a special guest of His Highness,
- 14:29Speaker 1: Uh check doctor Sultan and he. I don't want to
- 14:33Speaker 1: mispronounce his other name. So that's why I've been leaving it.
- 14:37Speaker 1: We've had lunch together, We've had dinner together. Today, I
- 14:41Speaker 1: speak to a group of students, a Q and A
- 14:45Speaker 1: with a group of students, and then tonight, uh interview
- 14:49Speaker 1: social media and more Q and A and then uh
- 14:54Speaker 1: we off to the next day. And so I will
- 14:57Speaker 1: be here through Sunday working. God has allowed me to
- 15:05Speaker 1: have a global brand in presence, which is amazing. To me,
- 15:10Speaker 1: amazing blessing, because ten years ago you could not have
- 15:13Speaker 1: told me I would be here in this position, that
- 15:17Speaker 1: I would be traveling around the globe. All this is
- 15:22Speaker 1: possible right now. Though. It's a funny thing. Man, it's
- 15:26Speaker 1: a really really funny thing. You know. Everybody was talking about, man,
- 15:30Speaker 1: what are he gonna do now? He ain't got no
- 15:32Speaker 1: TV showing he ain't got no there. But what what
- 15:37Speaker 1: everybody didn't know was that God is always working on
- 15:41Speaker 1: your behalf, if your believer, if you love him, He's
- 15:45Speaker 1: always operating on your behalf in ways that you don't
- 15:47Speaker 1: even know. That you don't even know if you just
- 15:51Speaker 1: keep the faith in Him, you don't You don't look
- 15:54Speaker 1: at the losses. You don't look at the doors closing.
- 15:57Speaker 1: You look at the possibilities of what can happen. And
- 16:01Speaker 1: had I still been in the position that I was in,
- 16:05Speaker 1: I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't be in Africa. You know,
- 16:09Speaker 1: I wouldn't be invited to Egypt. You know, I wouldn't
- 16:12Speaker 1: be sitting with the people that God has blessed me
- 16:14Speaker 1: to sit with. Had I stayed where I thought was safe,
- 16:19Speaker 1: but God saw something else, and now here I am man.
- 16:22Speaker 1: It's just it's amazing that I'm traveling the way I
- 16:27Speaker 1: am because God has positioned me in a way that
- 16:30Speaker 1: I didn't know I would even be positioned. So that
- 16:33Speaker 1: really makes me just extremely grateful and humble because I
- 16:37Speaker 1: can't take credit for it. This is God, man, This
- 16:40Speaker 1: is all God. Because I don't know how to set
- 16:44Speaker 1: none of this up. I had never heard of the
- 16:45Speaker 1: International Book Fat I had never heard of the Diamond
- 16:51Speaker 1: Council in Boswanna. I had never heard of it until
- 16:57Speaker 1: last year. I had never heard of I heard the
- 17:00Speaker 1: Formula one, but we got invited to the Formula one
- 17:03Speaker 1: race in Abu Dhabi. I don't even know how. The
- 17:06Speaker 1: guy just got in touch with some people and said,
- 17:09Speaker 1: I'm a big fan of Steve Harveys and they love
- 17:12Speaker 1: him over here and we want to know if he
- 17:13Speaker 1: would come as our guests. What you don't You don't
- 17:17Speaker 1: plan that, yeah, And so it's it's it's just been
- 17:21Speaker 1: an amazing thing, man. And I just I say to
- 17:23Speaker 1: people everywhere when you're going through something, just keep going,
- 17:29Speaker 1: don't stop. You know, somebody sent me a plaque one
- 17:32Speaker 1: time that sits on my desk. A matter of fact,
- 17:34Speaker 1: Roger Salter send it to me. He said, when you're
- 17:36Speaker 1: going through hell, just keep going. Why would you stop that?
- 17:43Speaker 1: When you're going through hell? Why would you stop there?
- 17:49Speaker 1: Keep going? And that's that's what I've managed to learn
- 17:52Speaker 1: how to do in my life. And by the grace
- 17:53Speaker 1: of God, I always land on my feet. He didn't
- 17:56Speaker 1: bring me, his father leave me. You all have heard
- 17:58Speaker 1: that a million times. All you gotta do is accepting
- 18:01Speaker 1: us faith in your life. That's yeah. So so next
- 18:06Speaker 1: year when we go to the book fair, act like
- 18:08Speaker 1: a food, think like a nephew. We're over there pushing
- 18:11Speaker 1: that me and you. I'm not gonna be over there
- 18:14Speaker 1: pushing that well, you don't know. You just said you
- 18:20Speaker 1: don't know what God has for you. You just said
- 18:23Speaker 1: that He don't have that for me. He might have
- 18:30Speaker 1: that for Tommy. But you think I'm gonna be over
- 18:33Speaker 1: here in this Muslim country talking about act like a food.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Do they do they celebrate Halloween? I am gone a mask.
- 18:45Speaker 1: You ain't seen nothing over that. I ain't seen a mask.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I know they're not celebrating it here in charge, that's
- 18:53Speaker 1: for sure. I have no idea. What's happening to do?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Bob but I haven't seen any minds up. Well, you
- 19:01Speaker 1: know they celebrated Big over here, Steve Big. Yeah, there's
- 19:06Speaker 1: never been nothing I've done. Yeah, Carla, what what is
- 19:10Speaker 1: the baby gonna be? I know she's not a baby.
- 19:12Speaker 1: But what's Tasha gonna be tonight? It's gonna be a surprise.
- 19:16Speaker 1: But you guys have seen this person trending on social
- 19:20Speaker 1: media the last two days. And Tisha picked this costume
- 19:23Speaker 1: out two months ago. She picked this costume out. Trump. No, never, absolutely,
- 19:39Speaker 1: you said you have a costume too, Yes, I do.
- 19:43Speaker 1: We're dressing up. We do Halloween big. We have a
- 19:45Speaker 1: big Halloween party. All the kids come over. Hey, what
- 19:50Speaker 1: you gonna be? What? It's a surprise, don't I want
- 19:55Speaker 1: to wait to see I No, we want to know. Okay,
- 20:00Speaker 1: I'm going to be I'll just say this. I'm going
- 20:04Speaker 1: to be a world champion. Oh someone a world champion?
- 20:16Speaker 1: You don't You better not try to down to that hospital. Alright,
- 20:27Speaker 1: coming up next, the nephew is here, would run that
- 20:29Speaker 1: prank back right after me. You're listening to stew coming
- 20:38Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour entertainment of National News.
- 20:42Speaker 1: But right now it is time for the nephew to
- 20:44Speaker 1: run that prank back? What you got for us? Now? Girls?
- 20:48Speaker 1: Scout cookies? What are you saying? Sound like a cooking girl?
- 20:53Speaker 1: Scout cookies? Oh? I know, girls scout cooks. Hello? Hello,
- 21:02Speaker 1: who's this? Hey? Um? How are you doing? Man? My

- 21:09Speaker 1: You work for media? Right? Yeah? What what's fun? So
- 21:13Speaker 1: we probably met a couple of times. Uh do you
- 21:16Speaker 1: have a girl? You have a girlfriend? Uh? Why what's up?

- 21:56Speaker 1: just climed down. Like I say, my name is Ben,
- 21:58Speaker 1: I work at Gilda too, you know, And I know
- 22:01Speaker 1: I'm just telling you now. I know you. I know
- 22:04Speaker 1: what you're doing. Okay, I know what y'all doing at
- 22:07Speaker 1: the job. I already know, and a couple other people
- 22:10Speaker 1: know what's going on. And I know you got a girl.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I know you got a girl at home. I know that.
- 22:15Speaker 1: What so so what? What? What? What the what? What
- 22:19Speaker 1: is this about? Like? Why why do you call my

- 22:55Speaker 1: you and to the job, all right, And I ain't

- 24:19Speaker 1: But you're nothing for you disrespecting me, calling my phone,
- 24:23Speaker 1: trying to act like you like, just trying to manipulate.

- 25:29Speaker 1: I'll do that. But let me let me ask you
- 25:31Speaker 1: this though. Let me ask you this though. You sure
- 25:34Speaker 1: you want me to call you? Sure you want me
- 25:36Speaker 1: to do that? And right? Ain't it that her name? Man?
- 25:41Speaker 1: You something? Individuals? All right? Look how much of these cookies?

- 26:57Speaker 1: more thing before you go age. What's the bad as that?
- 26:59Speaker 1: I mean, the baddest radio show in the land, the
- 27:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvard Morning Show Man, which is way he got
- 27:05Speaker 1: played every morning? Killed me brow your life. Girls. Girls
- 27:20Speaker 1: don't play with the girls, Okay, alright, I don't want to.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I bought four girls Scout cookies. Then, all, y'all, I
- 27:27Speaker 1: believe that I see that. Yeah, I can see. I've
- 27:30Speaker 1: been forced got a lot of girls on several people

- 28:06Speaker 1: Jay Anthony Oh laying in the cut on the tail
- 28:11Speaker 1: and earthquake and shaken it up. It is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- 28:18Speaker 1: That is Friday, the twenty of December at the met Philadelphia.
- 28:22Speaker 1: You dot want to miss it? And Ji, Who's who's
- 28:28Speaker 1: the promoter for this show? W Yeah they sound O.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Frankie Darsil, we gotta go. Coming up at the top
- 28:41Speaker 1: of the hour entertainment news and national news. Right after this,
- 28:46Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. In today's entertainment news,
- 28:53Speaker 1: you know, speaking of comedians and everything. Um, you know,
- 28:57Speaker 1: one of the greatest stand ups in our community that
- 29:02Speaker 1: we love so much was the one and only John Witherspoon,
- 29:06Speaker 1: and U you know, very sad to say that mister Witherspoon,
- 29:10Speaker 1: everyone called him Pops, passed away yesterday at the age
- 29:13Speaker 1: of seventy seven years old. Some of his first roles
- 29:17Speaker 1: were on TV way back in the nineteen seventies, Steve
- 29:22Speaker 1: he was on Barnaby Jones and Richard Pryor's show What's
- 29:24Speaker 1: Happening Good Times, also known for his role as Craig
- 29:29Speaker 1: and Dana's dad, mister Jones. Of course, in the Friday films,
- 29:34Speaker 1: he was known as Pops on The Wayans Brothers Show.
- 29:37Speaker 1: He also voiced Robert Grandad Freeman in the animated sitcom
- 29:41Speaker 1: The Boondocks. John Witherspoon was beloved by so many people
- 29:46Speaker 1: his lines in Boomerang about coordinate and in Friday. You know,
- 29:52Speaker 1: I mean, he was just an icon man. You know.
- 29:58Speaker 1: I posted a picture him on Instagram, you know, and
- 30:01Speaker 1: I'm in a whole other times one over here, so
- 30:05Speaker 1: I got the news beyond you know. You know what, Man,
- 30:11Speaker 1: here is a guy that I've worked with backstage a
- 30:15Speaker 1: few times. You know, always saw him. He was the
- 30:20Speaker 1: exact same every time I saw him. Wow, I never
- 30:25Speaker 1: I never saw a dude that was the same every
- 30:29Speaker 1: time you saw him. And uh we were. We ran
- 30:33Speaker 1: up in each other one time in the lobby of
- 30:34Speaker 1: a hotel in Monte Carlo, and uh, he walked up
- 30:39Speaker 1: behind me. He said, Hell, you're doing in here? You
- 30:41Speaker 1: don't belong in here. And I turned and I because
- 30:46Speaker 1: you know, I was tight, because first of all, ain't
- 30:49Speaker 1: nobody over there black. And then somebody turned around and said, here,
- 30:53Speaker 1: you're doing it here. You don't belong in the hill.
- 30:55Speaker 1: And I went, okay, cool, when I spin, I'm a
- 30:58Speaker 1: really spinning or whoever this is it. I turned around
- 31:00Speaker 1: with this food and we and we just laughed. Man.
- 31:04Speaker 1: The thing about Spoon was he was, like I put
- 31:09Speaker 1: in my Instagram post, he was the godfather and I
- 31:13Speaker 1: don't care what you think comedy. He was the godfather
- 31:18Speaker 1: of I don't care what you think comedy because I'm funny.
- 31:22Speaker 1: He just did his stuff. Man, sitting up there, he'd
- 31:25Speaker 1: just be looking at you like you just you don't
- 31:27Speaker 1: get it. I mean, he was a master of that.
- 31:30Speaker 1: And he's just just just a great human being. Man.
- 31:33Speaker 1: I was just on Instagram trying to read more about it.
- 31:36Speaker 1: I looked at all the posts everybody put pictures up,
- 31:39Speaker 1: and then with Spoon and a comedians, nuw this dude, man,
- 31:43Speaker 1: he was like you know that uncle man, that uncle
- 31:46Speaker 1: always boy. You got hanging out, you you got you
- 31:50Speaker 1: got Kim Kennedy jokes. You ain't got nothing else, you
- 31:52Speaker 1: can't paying calls? Yeah, I mean he was just he
- 31:55Speaker 1: tell me stuff like that, what's talk about you? You
- 31:58Speaker 1: gotta tell the joke? What what what are you think
- 32:00Speaker 1: to do? It was true, I ain't have enough to
- 32:03Speaker 1: do because I'd be complaining sometimes, Man, I can't get
- 32:06Speaker 1: a gig on here? What were you working? And he
- 32:10Speaker 1: was always that guy. Also um Steve are very on joy.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Anthony Brown shared his thoughts on Jay John Witherspoon take
- 32:21Speaker 1: a listen to this. As a comedian coming up, you
- 32:25Speaker 1: know when you just start, you just really a lot
- 32:28Speaker 1: of people don't understand it. But pretty much anything, you
- 32:31Speaker 1: just want somebody to talk to about the craft, just
- 32:34Speaker 1: somebody to chop it up with, somebody who's doing what
- 32:37Speaker 1: you're doing and maybe give you some pointers or not
- 32:39Speaker 1: even something, give you points, just a buddy, a friend
- 32:42Speaker 1: or something like that. And John Witherspoon was always John Witherspoon.
- 32:48Speaker 1: What you see in the movies is the same guy
- 32:50Speaker 1: you saw on and off the screen. He was the
- 32:53Speaker 1: same guy all the time. A quick antidote about John Witherspoon,
- 32:59Speaker 1: John with Boon and made it. We would do shows
- 33:03Speaker 1: together and before every show, John would would dies here.
- 33:07Speaker 1: He would die. Yeah, he said, uh Jay, nobody's ever
- 33:11Speaker 1: gonna see my heir great ever, ever, ever, ever, it
- 33:14Speaker 1: never gonna I won't even play an old man in
- 33:15Speaker 1: the movie I will I won't. He won't do it,
- 33:18Speaker 1: So he would dies here and die would be all
- 33:20Speaker 1: over the dressing room. It was one of the nicest guys,
- 33:23Speaker 1: one of the most friendly guys in terms of comics
- 33:26Speaker 1: that you would meet, that had been in the business
- 33:28Speaker 1: long before you. He's truly gonna be missed. It's always sad.
- 33:32Speaker 1: It's pretty much sad when anybody passes it, but it's
- 33:35Speaker 1: come for me. It's extra sad when a comedian passes
- 33:38Speaker 1: because of what we do. Our job is to bring
- 33:42Speaker 1: joy to people, and the passing of that person means
- 33:45Speaker 1: that joy will no longer be heard, or be passed
- 33:49Speaker 1: out or be given and nobody will hear comedy from
- 33:51Speaker 1: John Willispoon again, not original comedy. I mean, you have
- 33:55Speaker 1: his movies and stuff like that to watch forever, but
- 33:58Speaker 1: his original comedy comedy, to see him in person performing,
- 34:03Speaker 1: you won't get that anymore because of the past. John Witherspoon,
- 34:06Speaker 1: We're gonna miss you. Bang Bang Bang Rest in peace. Wow. Yeah, yeah,
- 34:14Speaker 1: John Witherspoon is. Yeah, he's survived by his wife Angela's
- 34:18Speaker 1: two sons, j D and Alexander. The family said they
- 34:21Speaker 1: were in shock over his death and asked for privacy.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Mister Witherspoon used to say, I'm no big deal, but
- 34:29Speaker 1: his family said he was a huge deal to us. Yeah,
- 34:33Speaker 1: they called him pops um ice cube. I think posted
- 34:37Speaker 1: that he's devastated by the loss of John Witherspoon and
- 34:41Speaker 1: life won't be as funny without him. And I mean everyone, Steve,
- 34:45Speaker 1: you had something to say, Regina King. Yeah, that man,
- 34:51Speaker 1: when that man light went out, Like Jay said, you
- 34:54Speaker 1: just don't understand man, what that is. Yeah, when comedians
- 34:59Speaker 1: go away, that style, that that he bought to the table,
- 35:05Speaker 1: his style of comedy, it's not done no more. It's
- 35:10Speaker 1: just it's a hole in the atmosphere. And and and
- 35:13Speaker 1: and comedians dying is is rough man, And you know
- 35:17Speaker 1: it's just I really could relate to what Jay said. Yeah,
- 35:22Speaker 1: great dude, John Witherspoon, greatness boy. Yeah, he will be missed.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 35:29Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this
- 35:32Speaker 1: you're listening to show. All right, so today is Halloween.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Happy Halloween everyone, and uh I know. Yeah, so Steve,
- 35:45Speaker 1: you're here to tell us you know you're too old
- 35:47Speaker 1: a tricker treat. You know, I've got something for y'all,
- 35:51Speaker 1: because come on, it's it's time. Come on, pull out
- 35:53Speaker 1: some of these stops, some of y'all tricker treats. You're
- 35:57Speaker 1: too old, Yeah, you're too old. I've come up with
- 36:02Speaker 1: some ways to let you know that you're too old
- 36:07Speaker 1: to trick a treat. Okay, here's the first one. If
- 36:12Speaker 1: your tricker treat bag is a fanny pack, yeah, you
- 36:20Speaker 1: just drop that right in there, lady. Yeah, you know,
- 36:24Speaker 1: because you got because you got to have your hands free,
- 36:27Speaker 1: because you gotta have you know, your hand one of
- 36:30Speaker 1: your hands on your can't so you can't have a
- 36:32Speaker 1: hand on the bag and can't you got a fanny pack.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Here's another way you know you're too old a trick
- 36:37Speaker 1: a treat. If you're driving from house to house. Yeah, yeah,
- 36:43Speaker 1: you can't, it's too much. Come on, let's walk back
- 36:49Speaker 1: towards the light. Man. This is how you know you
- 36:53Speaker 1: too old a trick a treat. If you walk up
- 36:55Speaker 1: to somebody dope, and you gotta ask them, are they
- 36:59Speaker 1: certain that candy that they serve it ain't gonna run
- 37:02Speaker 1: your blood sugar. That's a definite sign right there. This
- 37:12Speaker 1: is how you know you too old a trick treat
- 37:14Speaker 1: if your Halloween costume is mister t and all the
- 37:17Speaker 1: stuff you got on was already in your closet. You
- 37:22Speaker 1: don't have to go shopping. You got them chains. And
- 37:25Speaker 1: then this is how you know you're too old a
- 37:32Speaker 1: trigger tree. Every time you go up to a house
- 37:35Speaker 1: and knock on the door, they come to the back.
- 37:37Speaker 1: They come to the door and say, oh, the boxes
- 37:39Speaker 1: is around back, sir. You just the damn garbage. If
- 37:49Speaker 1: you got to put your cigarette out before you walk
- 37:51Speaker 1: up to the door at the end of the driveway,
- 37:56Speaker 1: I love that I'm smoking. Another way to tell you
- 38:00Speaker 1: too old a trick a treat if if every house
- 38:04Speaker 1: you go to you gotta use day bath room right quick,
- 38:13Speaker 1: fresh root. There's another way to tell you too old
- 38:17Speaker 1: a trigger treat if you're going trick of treating not
- 38:21Speaker 1: for the candy, but just because you got the munchies. Yeah,
- 38:31Speaker 1: here is the last reason you know you too old
- 38:34Speaker 1: a trick a treat if all your costumes is too tight.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty four after the hour, Kevin Hart
- 38:47Speaker 1: says his world has changed forever, and we'll talk about
- 38:51Speaker 1: that right after this. You're listening to show well. As
- 38:57Speaker 1: we all know. Over the Labor Day weekend, Kevin Hart
- 39:00Speaker 1: was the backseat passenger of a horrendous single car accident.
- 39:05Speaker 1: The car's roof sheared off and another writer needed to
- 39:09Speaker 1: be cut out of the vehicle. Kevin spent ten days
- 39:12Speaker 1: in the hospital and still wears a back brace. Kevin
- 39:16Speaker 1: posted a video on his Instagram page and gave us
- 39:19Speaker 1: a look at his recovery and physical therapy, and he
- 39:22Speaker 1: said his world has changed forever. Take a listen. Basically,
- 39:26Speaker 1: would you realize that you're not in control? No matter
- 39:29Speaker 1: how much you think you're in control, You're not in control.
- 39:32Speaker 1: At the end of the day, it can all be over. Man.
- 39:34Speaker 1: You know, when God talks, you gotta listen. I swear
- 39:39Speaker 1: life is funny because some of the craziest things that
- 39:42Speaker 1: happened to you end up being the things that you
- 39:45Speaker 1: needed most. And in this case, I honestly feel like
- 39:49Speaker 1: God basically told me to sitam You know when you're
- 39:51Speaker 1: moving too fast, and you're doing too much. Sometimes you
- 39:53Speaker 1: can't see the things that you're meant to see. But
- 39:56Speaker 1: after my accident, I see things differently. I see life
- 39:59Speaker 1: from a whole new perspective. My appreciation for life is
- 40:04Speaker 1: through the roof. I'm thankful for my family, my friends.
- 40:09Speaker 1: I'm thankful for the people that have simply ride with
- 40:11Speaker 1: me and I've been with me because you stood by me,
- 40:14Speaker 1: my fans. Thankful for all your love and support. So
- 40:17Speaker 1: don't take today for granted, because tomorrow's not promised. More importantly,
- 40:21Speaker 1: I'm thankful for God, thankful for life. I'm thankful for
- 40:25Speaker 1: simply still being here the road to being a bigger
- 40:27Speaker 1: and better version than me. Wow. That yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 40:35Speaker 1: And that was the first time he's really posted something
- 40:37Speaker 1: like that since the accident. Yeah, first time. Yeah, he's
- 40:42Speaker 1: got I'm not really surprised by this, you know, Kevin's
- 40:47Speaker 1: a good dude man, And I think what is happening
- 40:52Speaker 1: right now because I heard this clip in over here
- 40:57Speaker 1: in the Middle East. They play this clip on a
- 41:01Speaker 1: radio show over here, and so I heard this clip
- 41:06Speaker 1: and they opened up the conversation on this Arabic radio
- 41:11Speaker 1: show after they played it, and then they said, call
- 41:14Speaker 1: in and tell us if you've had a life changing moment,
- 41:19Speaker 1: And all of them were calling in talking about faith.
- 41:22Speaker 1: See when a person like Kevin Hart opens his mouth
- 41:25Speaker 1: about faith and you start hearing him talk about God,
- 41:30Speaker 1: he moves people by the millions. That Instagram post goes
- 41:38Speaker 1: to millions. Yeah, it's different, man. And to hear him
- 41:43Speaker 1: say God in his speech as often as he did,
- 41:50Speaker 1: that's that's a thing. And like he said, you know,
- 41:53Speaker 1: sometimes you know, the thing that needs to happen to
- 41:56Speaker 1: you most happens at the perfect time. God has a way.
- 42:00Speaker 1: And I'm not saying this about this. He gets all
- 42:03Speaker 1: of our attention. He could get our attention one way
- 42:07Speaker 1: or the other. And it's just like and it's not
- 42:10Speaker 1: like beating us up. It just it's almost like a shake.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Do you understand who I am? Yeah? While you moving
- 42:19Speaker 1: and shaking and grooving, have you paid attention that? Like
- 42:23Speaker 1: Kevin said, I'm in control of this, this this life
- 42:27Speaker 1: that you have, this life that all of us have.
- 42:29Speaker 1: It's not ours. This life can be taken from us
- 42:33Speaker 1: at any moment. We do not control waking up. We
- 42:38Speaker 1: don't control breaths. If we did, we'd all wake up
- 42:42Speaker 1: and we'd all continue to breathe. It's not It's bigger
- 42:45Speaker 1: than that, man, It's so much bigger than that. So yeah, right,
- 42:51Speaker 1: that's right. It was really good to see him getting
- 42:53Speaker 1: back into his workout. I mean, he seems very strong
- 42:58Speaker 1: and everything he man was so very powerful. Yeah, it
- 43:04Speaker 1: was really something. Yeah. Yeah, God spared his life. M
- 43:08Speaker 1: m m yeah, and he's changed forever. Yeah, yeah, it
- 43:15Speaker 1: looks like it. M M wow. Wow, Kevin. Yeah, we're
- 43:22Speaker 1: so happy that you know you're on the road to
- 43:24Speaker 1: recovery and that you do have a new appreciation and
- 43:28Speaker 1: and all of that. And thanks for sharing that because
- 43:30Speaker 1: that was really powerful to see. Yeah, it really really was,
- 43:34Speaker 1: and it's all over the world, uh, Steve, Yeah, Yeah,
- 43:40Speaker 1: we love you. Kevin Hart. Coming up next, Yeah, Nephew,
- 43:44Speaker 1: you're up next with today's prank phone call. That's right
- 43:47Speaker 1: after this you're listening to. Coming up at the top
- 43:53Speaker 1: of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's my
- 43:55Speaker 1: Strawberry letter for today's subject adding insult to injury. Uh,
- 44:01Speaker 1: that is the subject. But right now Junior is in
- 44:03Speaker 1: for the nephew with today's prank phone call. What you
- 44:06Speaker 1: got for us, Junior, Well, it's simply called the ring.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Oh like the scary movie. Nah, no, it's the prank. Oh,
- 44:14Speaker 1: ain't scary, ain't scary. This ain't non scary. Back then,
- 44:19Speaker 1: it's scary that the nephew did it. But this is
- 44:23Speaker 1: the ring. Okay, running cat. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to
- 44:28Speaker 1: reach a Denise. Yes, this is she, Hi Denise. My
- 44:33Speaker 1: name is Gavin. I'm I'm actually the head jeweler here, diamond. No,
- 44:36Speaker 1: how you doing, I'm good. You brought your ring in
- 44:39Speaker 1: what was it last week? I actually wasn't here, but
- 44:42Speaker 1: you gave it to one of my salespersons and um,
- 44:44Speaker 1: yes you wanted to get it resized as well as
- 44:48Speaker 1: get it a praise. Correct, yes, yes, yes, and you
- 44:50Speaker 1: don't have to tell him to be on my own. Okay, wow, okay, listen,
- 44:56Speaker 1: I actually do the resize the ring. And first of all,
- 44:59Speaker 1: let me be the first to say, um, congratulations, when
- 45:03Speaker 1: when is your wedding? Thank you? I'm getting married and stuff.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Come there. Well, congratulations to listen. I don't know how
- 45:09Speaker 1: to tell you this now as far as the appraiserless concern,
- 45:12Speaker 1: I've looked at your ring over and over and this
- 45:16Speaker 1: this ring is probably worth maybe fifty dollars. Excuse me,
- 45:22Speaker 1: I've been I've been in this business for over twenty years.
- 45:25Speaker 1: But you know what, I'm confused on what you just said.
- 45:27Speaker 1: And I understand that what I'm trying to explain to
- 45:29Speaker 1: you is that I've been in this business for over
- 45:31Speaker 1: twenty years. I've seen so many different pieces of jewelry.
- 45:34Speaker 1: And this is something that you that you buy late
- 45:37Speaker 1: night on an infomercial for nineteen ninety nine. This is
- 45:41Speaker 1: a Cubic Zaconian stones and the gold is not real
- 45:45Speaker 1: at all. It's like, wait, wait, you lost me. You
- 45:49Speaker 1: lost me as much money as my pen make and
- 45:51Speaker 1: as much money as my father is putting down on
- 45:54Speaker 1: his wedding or half put down. And I understand everything
- 45:57Speaker 1: you're saying, but Denise, honestly I need you to do
- 46:00Speaker 1: is hold on. Wait no, no, I need you to
- 46:03Speaker 1: hold on because we need to call victims. Wait. Wait man.
- 46:07Speaker 1: First of all, I can't wait wait wait, wait wait wait,
- 46:10Speaker 1: hold hold on because you wait wait wait, what are
- 46:17Speaker 1: you trying to what you're trying to do, sir? I
- 46:19Speaker 1: need I need you to repeat because what you just
- 46:22Speaker 1: said to me, Okay, I need you personal stuff. Man.
- 46:26Speaker 1: You oh, you hit it. It's personal now, so I
- 46:29Speaker 1: need you to hold on. Okay, oh she called it
- 46:34Speaker 1: hu man, Okay, thank thank hello, Victim. I need to
- 46:39Speaker 1: listen to this zula that's on the front. I want
- 46:41Speaker 1: you to hit it. And he just told me, hold,
- 46:43Speaker 1: what's what's the problem? What you mean, what's the problem.
- 46:45Speaker 1: He gonna tell you what the problem is. Gonna hit on, sir,
- 46:47Speaker 1: gonna hit on. Hello, Yeah, who's this all right? My
- 46:51Speaker 1: name is Gavin. I'm from Diamonds. And actually your wife,
- 46:55Speaker 1: i mean where your fiance. Rather, she brought her ring
- 46:57Speaker 1: in to actually be resized, and we also did an
- 47:01Speaker 1: appraisal on the ring for her, and actually the ring
- 47:05Speaker 1: is estimated to be only in the worth of around
- 47:08Speaker 1: fifty dollars. Fifty dollars dollars fifty that's what the man said,
- 47:13Speaker 1: dollars in these homes, sir. Obviously there's some sort of mistakes, sir. Yeah,
- 47:18Speaker 1: what you got to say about that? Fifty dollars? That's
- 47:21Speaker 1: that's got to be some kind of mistakes. What'd you
- 47:23Speaker 1: say your name was, sir? My name is Gavin. I
- 47:25Speaker 1: work here at Diamonds. I'm the head jeweler here. I've
- 47:28Speaker 1: been here for twenty years, and there's there's no way
- 47:31Speaker 1: that that ring is worth fifty dollars. I know what
- 47:33Speaker 1: I paid for it. So obviously there's some sort of mistakes.
- 47:37Speaker 1: There's not a mistake. I've been dealing with jury, I've
- 47:39Speaker 1: seen it. I can pretty much look at a ring,
- 47:42Speaker 1: but I actually went into detail on this one, as
- 47:44Speaker 1: I do all of them, and so I promise you
- 47:47Speaker 1: this is probably maybe between forty and fifty dollars before
- 47:50Speaker 1: his workers now, absolutely not. That's that's impossible. How is
- 47:54Speaker 1: that impossible? He's a jeweler. You heard him say, he's
- 47:56Speaker 1: been doing it for twenty He's highest impossible. Understand all
- 48:01Speaker 1: the money that my dad is putting down on this wedding,
- 48:03Speaker 1: and you don't pay fifty You bought a cheap ring.
- 48:07Speaker 1: So no, no, no, I did not buy a tea.
- 48:10Speaker 1: This is this is this is obviously some kind of mistake.
- 48:12Speaker 1: You don't got it? You show got right, You show
- 48:15Speaker 1: got that right. So what you got to say for
- 48:16Speaker 1: yourself fifty? Don't you can't? I believe that that's right,
- 48:21Speaker 1: that this is obviously some kind of mistakes. Oh, it
- 48:23Speaker 1: is a mistake. I'm mistake and thinking I'm gonna get
- 48:26Speaker 1: married to the man of my dream. I do have
- 48:28Speaker 1: the engagement ring that was purchased and bought for your wife. No,
- 48:32Speaker 1: I don't think you. I would think you do. I
- 48:33Speaker 1: don't think you have my ring, because if you have
- 48:35Speaker 1: my ring, you wouldn't be telling me this worse fifty dollars.
- 48:37Speaker 1: I have the ring that your wife, your fiance brought
- 48:42Speaker 1: his wife. Yet hold on, hold on, the man trying
- 48:44Speaker 1: to explain. I'm trying to get to the body. Thank you,
- 48:47Speaker 1: so you have I don't think he has the right ring.
- 48:50Speaker 1: I have the right ring. And what I'm letting you know, sir,
- 48:52Speaker 1: is that this is something you buy on an inframercial
- 48:55Speaker 1: in two occock in the morning. Dude, you don't like
- 49:00Speaker 1: bottle damn ring on inframercial. I bought the ring from
- 49:02Speaker 1: a reputable establishment. I have the receipt, I have the certificate.
- 49:07Speaker 1: So obviously the mistake is on your and where you're
- 49:10Speaker 1: the mistakes now here. So you bought a piece of
- 49:12Speaker 1: jump after he's ain't doing it all these years? How
- 49:15Speaker 1: hell he's gonna make a mistake worse? You come off
- 49:17Speaker 1: telling me I bought a piece of jump. I know
- 49:19Speaker 1: what I bought. If there's any mistakes that's been made,
- 49:21Speaker 1: it's on your end world, where it's not on my end. Yeah. No,
- 49:25Speaker 1: hold don't, we don't. Don't, lady, you want things that
- 49:30Speaker 1: my dad has had too much money for this wedding,
- 49:32Speaker 1: So your doll's gonna pay fifty dollars dollars? Wait, I
- 49:35Speaker 1: tell him this, chill hold on. First of all, I
- 49:38Speaker 1: don't appreciate you. I want to tell you this. This
- 49:40Speaker 1: is a typical case of you trying to put it
- 49:42Speaker 1: off on us because you bought a piece of stuff
- 49:44Speaker 1: for fifty bucks. I have the money to two dollars.
- 49:47Speaker 1: Don't make it. I get fifty dollars worth of a ring, Denise.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Hold on, let me talk this where you gonna talk
- 49:52Speaker 1: and get dollars? I never heard of it. So your
- 49:56Speaker 1: wife knows exactly where that she's the one that brought
- 49:59Speaker 1: the ring. I tell you what, I'm gonna come down
- 50:01Speaker 1: there to see the ring that you're talking about. If
- 50:03Speaker 1: it's not the ring that I gave my girl, I'm
- 50:05Speaker 1: gonna take seventy six hundred dollars out of your because
- 50:08Speaker 1: that's so. Now you want to jump on me because
- 50:12Speaker 1: you bought your wife a piece. Come on, you want
- 50:15Speaker 1: to put it on me. You you don't tell me
- 50:17Speaker 1: what the I don't know what the I spin on
- 50:19Speaker 1: the ring and you I don't kind of trying to pull.
- 50:22Speaker 1: First of all, I don't appreciate you coming in my
- 50:23Speaker 1: household trying to mess my and you want to come
- 50:25Speaker 1: at me with this one. I know the ring gotta
- 50:27Speaker 1: be real. No, man, if I were you, mister niece,
- 50:30Speaker 1: I would not marry somebody that's gonna be I'm coming there.
- 50:33Speaker 1: I'm looking for your pocket and you know what, you
- 50:36Speaker 1: don't get the ring in a right man, you're gonna
- 50:38Speaker 1: go in it? Can I say one more thing to
- 50:40Speaker 1: both of you? Are better? I tell you what if
- 50:42Speaker 1: they did, I want to hear me, and you're gonna
- 50:43Speaker 1: have some more problems. This is nephew telling me from
- 50:46Speaker 1: the Steve Orvin Morning Show. Y'all just got pranked by
- 50:49Speaker 1: the niece's sister that that why she ain't got no
- 50:59Speaker 1: man to be Wow. Wow, that's how cool? Time are
- 51:06Speaker 1: you about to start with? Wow? I think I'm sorry, baby,
- 51:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I will make a woman's ring.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I gotta ask y'all something. What is the baddest radio

- 51:45Speaker 1: So that's all I'm saying. Give me some I'm gonna
- 51:47Speaker 1: push this thing one more time. That holiday comedy jam.
- 51:50Speaker 1: It sounds so good. I ain't gonna lie. I'm thinking
- 51:52Speaker 1: about buying myself some tickets. I ain't laying decen with
- 51:55Speaker 1: the twentieth I am. I'm buying me a couple of
- 51:58Speaker 1: tickets to see me. Why I wouldn't I at the

- 52:13Speaker 1: give me a couple of sec That's what I'm finishing.

- 53:55Speaker 1: right here, right now. Let's go bugle up and hold
- 53:59Speaker 1: on tight. He got it. Toll you here. It is
- 54:01Speaker 1: strawberry letter thanking a few smiling in my face while
- 54:06Speaker 1: backstabbing me is the subject. Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been
- 54:10Speaker 1: married for seventeen years to a man who I thought
- 54:14Speaker 1: was trustworthy, honest, and a good Christian man. We are
- 54:18Speaker 1: both in our forties and have been together for twenty
- 54:21Speaker 1: five years total. For the last four years, he has
- 54:25Speaker 1: been friends with a basic girl that he met at work.
- 54:28Speaker 1: I call her basic because that's what she is. I
- 54:32Speaker 1: have always expressed how displeased I am with their friendship,
- 54:36Speaker 1: but he insisted that I was worrying for no reason.
- 54:39Speaker 1: We hung out with her and her basic husband oftened,
- 54:42Speaker 1: and my husband always made me feel like I was
- 54:45Speaker 1: crazy for being suspicious of this friendship. I even started
- 54:49Speaker 1: hanging out with this basic woman too, after he insisted
- 54:53Speaker 1: that I get to know her. We had family outings
- 54:56Speaker 1: with this basic couple. We actually enjoyed their company. Here's
- 55:00Speaker 1: where the pain and deceit began. Two weeks ago, her
- 55:04Speaker 1: husband caught my husband and the basic woman cheating. When confronted,
- 55:09Speaker 1: they admitted that it had been going on for three years,
- 55:12Speaker 1: right under our noses. I was so hurt. Then I
- 55:17Speaker 1: guess my husband's conscience got the best of him, and
- 55:20Speaker 1: he admitted that he had had an affair with three
- 55:23Speaker 1: other women, and two of these women were also in
- 55:27Speaker 1: our married friends circle. My husband told me that he
- 55:30Speaker 1: has a problem and he needs counseling. He begged me
- 55:34Speaker 1: to stay with him and help him through this. My
- 55:36Speaker 1: trust for him is shattered now. He had his mistresses
- 55:40Speaker 1: in my face and they all played it off perfectly.
- 55:44Speaker 1: I feel like a fool and I'm totally disgusted by him,
- 55:48Speaker 1: But I am unsure if divorce is the answer. We've
- 55:52Speaker 1: lost all of our friends because of this. Should I
- 55:55Speaker 1: forgive him? Please? Help? Wow? What a letter. First of all,
- 56:01Speaker 1: these were not your friends, and I gotta tell you
- 56:05Speaker 1: forgiveness is up to you, but most importantly it's for you,
- 56:10Speaker 1: and you know in this instance, I would just say,
- 56:16Speaker 1: I don't know. It's gonna be hard, and it's gonna
- 56:18Speaker 1: take some time. The trust, like you said, is already broken.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Gonna be very very hard for you to rebuild the trust.
- 56:27Speaker 1: And quite frankly, for you to even be considering not
- 56:30Speaker 1: divorcing him is amazing to me because he's been so
- 56:34Speaker 1: fall with what he did. Like you said, he had
- 56:37Speaker 1: his mistresses in your face, right under your noses for
- 56:41Speaker 1: three years. That's crazy, But you did suspect something he
- 56:45Speaker 1: kept trying to steer you off of that made you
- 56:48Speaker 1: get to be friends with the woman he was having
- 56:50Speaker 1: an affair with, and all of that. I mean, you
- 56:54Speaker 1: should be disgusted. You said you disgusted with him. You
- 56:56Speaker 1: should be disgusted with him and all of them. You
- 57:00Speaker 1: said you're so disgusted with him. You should be, and
- 57:03Speaker 1: you should insist that he gets help. Only time will
- 57:06Speaker 1: tell if he's truly sorry. His behavior and how he
- 57:10Speaker 1: treats you from this point on should help you decide
- 57:13Speaker 1: whether to stay or go. But please do not do
- 57:17Speaker 1: not make this easy for him. If you decide to
- 57:20Speaker 1: stay in this, this relationship, which or this marriage that
- 57:23Speaker 1: you've had for seventeen years, this is not really a marriage.
- 57:27Speaker 1: He's been treat cheating on you, and treating you like this.
- 57:31Speaker 1: You don't have to. Don't feel badly if you walk
- 57:33Speaker 1: away from him, But if you decide to keep him
- 57:36Speaker 1: and forgive him, don't make it easy. Steve. Let me,
- 57:40Speaker 1: I can't know what you just said. If you're going
- 57:43Speaker 1: to stay with him, and forgive him, don't make it easy. Wow,
- 57:50Speaker 1: that's an interesting concept, because why I forgive if you're
- 57:55Speaker 1: gonna steady make a person pay. I don't. I don't.
- 58:00Speaker 1: But then that's the part when you hurt a woman,
- 58:04Speaker 1: that's the part that you have to grapple with because
- 58:07Speaker 1: you did hurt her. So in that regard, I understand
- 58:11Speaker 1: where it's Shirley coming from. But that's a tough statement, though.
- 58:16Speaker 1: If you stay with him and forgive him, but don't
- 58:19Speaker 1: make it easy, Jesus Christ. Well, let's go back to
- 58:24Speaker 1: the top. Smiling in my face. While I've been Shirley,
- 58:28Speaker 1: I've been married seventeen years to a Christian man. He's
- 58:32Speaker 1: still a Christian man who I thought was trustworthy. Were
- 58:35Speaker 1: both in owt forties and were beginning other for twenty
- 58:37Speaker 1: five years. Last four years, he's been friends with a
- 58:40Speaker 1: basic girl that he met at work. I call her
- 58:43Speaker 1: basic because that's where she is. I've always expressed how
- 58:47Speaker 1: displeased I was with a friendship, but here since says
- 58:49Speaker 1: nothing to worry about. Now, let me ask you a question.
- 58:52Speaker 1: I have told y'all and told y'all and told y'all
- 58:55Speaker 1: about the friendships. I have told y'all that they don't
- 58:59Speaker 1: normally work out that good. But let me ask you
- 59:02Speaker 1: this question. Who makes new female friends in their thoughties
- 59:08Speaker 1: while married? Dog? I can understand if you had a
- 59:15Speaker 1: relationship in college or something, You've been friends with this
- 59:18Speaker 1: girl since high school or something like that, and you
- 59:20Speaker 1: get married and you're trying to convince your wife we've
- 59:23Speaker 1: been friends all this time. I got that. Who makes
- 59:28Speaker 1: new female friends if they thoughties while they married? How
- 59:36Speaker 1: did y'all develop this friendship? Not much time it takes
- 59:40Speaker 1: to develop a friendship. Not much time away from your
- 59:44Speaker 1: wife and outside your house it takes to form a
- 59:48Speaker 1: new friendship. Now you call in the woman basic? What
- 59:53Speaker 1: the hell do that mean? What? What do that mean? Anybody?
- 59:57Speaker 1: They she basic? Plane I took is playing? Yeah? Well
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: well yeah, let me tell you this. I like playing donuts.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: But I still liked the donut because I can dunk it. Uh.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: All right, hold on thought, hold on, all right, we'll
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: come back with part two of Steve's response to smiling
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: in my face while backstabbing me at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: after the hour right after this you're listening show, all right, Steve,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: come on, let's recap Today's Strawberry Letters subjects smiling in
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: my face while backstabbing me. They'd been married seventeen years,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Christian Man, so she thought trustworthy, so she thought, and
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: they fought. He's been together twenty five years total. Last
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: four years he'd been friends with a basic girl he
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: met at work. Now Man said that she started having
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: problems with his new friendship. My question when we left
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: was who makes new female friends in their forties while married?
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: Because it takes a long time to develop a friendship.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: That's time out your house where y'all going lunch, eating,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: talking on the phone, texting. All this could be time
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: spent with your girl, But now you outside your house
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: with it. Now here we come. I told y'all this
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: don't hardly ever work out. He insisted not to worry
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: about it. Then hit a cool part. We hung out
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: with her and her basic husband. All y'all are fossil alway,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: and your husband made you feel crazy for being suspicious
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: about this friendship. I even started hanging with the basic
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: woman too, so he gets to know that y'all went
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: to family outings, everything en George the company. Then you
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: got hurt two weeks ago. Now hit a part that
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: I don't understand. Two weeks ago, her hub caught my
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: husband and the basic woman cheating. When confronted, they admitted
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: that it had been going on for three years. So
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: the whole of the wold, I'm i'm are we missing
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: something here? He called his wife cheating with another man.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: When confronted, they admitted that means this confrontation was y'all cheating.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: And then they admitted, boy, listen to me, let me
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: tell you what's involved in this. In this when I
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: can't shoot, there's gonna have to be some depositions. That's
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: gonna be to be some retainers. That's gonna have to
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: be some video. Ever this, we're gonna be looking back
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: at text records. Uh, there's gonna be some people at
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: the house. Uh, they gonna be spraying that blue stuff
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: in the room with the lights out there. They're gonna
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: be spreading all that. They're trying to figure out what
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: the hell did Steve do about the finger? Yeah, wout
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: the fingers, stupid hand full of his hand to target
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: who come in here, gonna take a look at this.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: You're gonna come here and take a look at this.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: I don't know how this Scott up here, gonna take
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: a picture of handcuffs on the shower route and uh,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: and take a picture of that change. So I think
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: that's gonna have something to do. This is starting to
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: look a lot like scarf forself in here. So now
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: now they admitted, they admitted they've been going out for
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: three years, right under our noses. I was so hurt
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: and uh. Then she said her husband conscience got the
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: best of him, and he said that he had had
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: an affair with three other women, and two of these
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: women was also our married friends. God, but why is
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: he still living? Yeah, he's good. I'm not understanding that
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: he ain't no good? Why is he still living? The
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: husband ain't killed him. You ain't killed him. He's sleeping
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: with everybody's wife? Who how fine is he? And now
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: there now, my husband told me that he got a problem,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: he needed counsel. He begged me to stay with him
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: and help him through this. Help help him. What's how
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: you feeling to help him? Help me understand? Cheating is simple.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: It's a decision that a dude made because he thinks
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: he can get away with it, and he figured you
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: ain't gonna know, so what you ain't gonna know ain't
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: gonna hurt you, and it might not mean that much
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: to him, which can be a true statement. But when
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: you get busted all of a sudden, you mean the
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: world to him. That's what happens in cheat true. Do
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: we understand this. You got to go to school. They
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: got to go to school for this, therapy, for this.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: It's upset that he got caught. He made her if
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: you had, if she had never caught him, this would
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: still be going on and he wouldn't be asking for help. Then, Yes, sir,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: help is with one when you got more than one, two,
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: three women? You helping yourself to all the cookies in
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: the jaws not. Don't make it easy for help him
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: through him, my trust him, him and shadowed. Now he
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: had his mistresses in my face and they all played
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: it off perfectly. That's the cold part of this letter
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: right here. He talked all these women into going along
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: with it. Yeah, they were all friends. What have your
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: husband been doing to y'all? This? What is this man doing? Yeah,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: say the one more time? Come onto y'all? What is it?
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: Keeping it a secret? A fifth board? Right in the
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: words of mc hammill, Stop, oh y'all, what is it? Doing.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: That's what I want to hear. Thank you, Steve. Post

- 1:10:56Speaker 1: So now in this episode that I watched Tommy set
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: up group dates and the singles, they started to let
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: their guard down a little bit. Nephew. Now some of
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: the guys they get in trouble, uh sending out questionable
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: text messages, uh low talking to woman in the club.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: So their behavior, some of the brothers got into it. Yeah,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: and the women on Yeah, and the women on this episode,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: Tommy had the power to decide. You gave the women
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: a power. Who gets to say? Everybody get power? Power
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: equal right, So this episode, the women had the power
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: to decide who gets to stay, who goes? All right,

- 1:12:04Speaker 1: whole lot. Darren and I are connected instantly. Darren and
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: I talk every day all day. Really, he definitely lets
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: me know that he is focused on me and he
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: wants us to focus on each other and he doesn't
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: have another connection. That's news to me because I promise
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: you that's not what I'm hearing. But we gilth no
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: one is no one until it becomes official. We'll see
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: how it plays out, right when the fight breakout. Yeah right,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: Because that's the question, Timmy. The second voice of the
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: second girl concerned me. The tone of boys. Yeah, that's
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: what she signed. She got that sign in her tone
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: and her voice like little girl. Yeah. Now that's the question.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: That's my question. I want to throw out there to everybody.

- 1:16:17Speaker 1: nobody won at home where you saw it? Go to
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: history coming up at thirty three after the hour, right
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show, all right. So, officials
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: in California currently have twenty five million people in California
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: under red flag mornings. These fires are serious as active
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: fires burn across the state. That means high winds are
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: increasing the fire danger in the danger zone. Forty three counties,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: including San Diego, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and San Francisco. Southern
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: California alone could see the strongest winds in years. Meteorologists
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: say it will feel like a hurricane with gusts between
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: fifty and seventy miles an hour. Off you can believe
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: that Southern California's Getty Fire also stands at fifteen percent containment,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: and officials are blaming the blaze on the wind. The
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: newly formed Easy fire quickly consumed thirteen hundred acres in
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: Ventura County. Officials said it threatened sixty five hundred homes
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: and four school closures and evacuations, including one at the
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. The former president and his wife,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: Nancy are buried at that site. Apparently, the Getty Fire
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: was sparked when high winds carried a tree branch into
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: a power line, and it was all caught on a
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: dash cam video from a car. Whow, I mean it
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: is a blaze? Yeah, it really really is something there.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: You know, No, they're not, and all this stuff is
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: happening too frequently, now, you know. And now hurricane gust
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: when rightify to seventy miles per hour, old, well, you
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: know that that's blowing ambers and that's yeah, and that
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: that that puts the fire. It leaps over places and
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: starts fires, and then that's when it's hard to contain
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: because you have a fire that that's already raging out
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: of control. Now it skips four hundred yards away and
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: starts a new blaze, right, and then some more ambers
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: go up and six hundred yards away land and starts
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: another blaze. And that's that's the danger of the wind.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: And it just feeds. It's just like blowing on the flame.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: You're just blowing on and adding more more oxygen to
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: the five's really really a bad situation, definitely. It is
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: your prayers going up. Yeah, really sad. And I mean
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: the first responders of firefighters, you know, praying for them.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: It's just a sad situation. It just really is. It
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: is you know, twenty five million people under red flag
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: warnings out a lot. Yeah, it's a lot. Yeah, get out,
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: Yeah you have to. I was reading where this woman
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: said that the possibility that she had to evacuate what
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: was happening, And the neighbor knocked on the door and
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: said you gotta go, and she said, you know, she
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: just turned around and looked at saying, Hey, this might
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: be the last time I see my house. But you
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: got your life and your family. That's what. Yeah, wow,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: all right, well we'll be back with um. The last
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: break of the day and some closing remarks from Steve
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: Harvey at forty nine minutes after the hour. Right after
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: this you're listening to all right, here we are, last
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: break of the day. Right before we get to Steve's
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: closing remark, It's been a good day, yes Halloween yesterday.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: If you did do Halloween, what would you go as? Oh?
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: My goodness, I used to go all the time, almost
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: every year as Marilyn Monroe, the iconic movie star Marilyn Monroe.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: We not have my blonde wig everything. Yeah, I always
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: wanted Maryland. One year, I want as Cleopatra. One year
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: I want as Cleopatra. But alone we can go as
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: Kim kardash You got air thing. Yeah. Our next question, Steve,
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: we know you're going as an elf hebler, Yeah, right,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: all time. Surely I'll talk about you. What about you?
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: I'm going at a cleaner I'm already there or what
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: clean on Star trick? Uh huh, never saw you know
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: you don't know the clean on y You don't watch
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: gotta be a treky to know that. Yeah, yeah, he didn't,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: he didn't know. They're just the star trek walker watcher.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: You ain't gonna tell us man hate let me think
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: he ain't let you think as you are. I could
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: go as you really put the much days, much day
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: and put some money in my pocket that I'm now
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: what But tell me you think you sell what you're
