- 0:00Speaker 1: I want to be clear that the Nancy Guthrie case
- 0:03Speaker 1: and the facts around it are changing minute by minute,
- 0:06Speaker 1: and as I'm recording this for you, I'm going to
- 0:09Speaker 1: give you the latest that we know now. By the
- 0:11Speaker 1: time you hear this, things could change. But what we
- 0:15Speaker 1: do know is there's two big things that have happened,
- 0:18Speaker 1: actually three. One, they were able to, by the grace
- 0:22Speaker 1: of God in technology, to get the video off of
- 0:26Speaker 1: a ness camera and then put it out to the
- 0:29Speaker 1: world of the individual that they believe clearly is the
- 0:33Speaker 1: one who abducted Nancy Guthrie. That was massive the FBI
- 0:39Speaker 1: and the leadership of the Trump administration and having all
- 0:43Speaker 1: of the assets needed to get this out there has
- 0:45Speaker 1: now shown it to the entire world. That is one
- 0:49Speaker 1: big part of the story. The second part of the
- 0:52Speaker 1: story is a person of interest has been detained for
- 0:56Speaker 1: questioning in the Nancy Guthrie case. It is because of
- 1:01Speaker 1: that video that was then put out to the world.
- 1:04Speaker 1: And then there's a third part of what we have
- 1:06Speaker 1: now learned. There is a new transaction that has been
- 1:10Speaker 1: reported in the crypto wallet tied to Nancy Guthrie's disappearance
- 1:16Speaker 1: and that ransom note, the new activity has been recorded
- 1:21Speaker 1: in that cryptocurrency wallet tied to the disappearance and alleged
- 1:24Speaker 1: abduction of Nancy Guthrie.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Local News is reporting right.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Now Arizona's family report it can confirm at least one
- 1:32Speaker 1: transaction was made around five pm local time on Tuesday
- 1:38Speaker 1: to the bitcoin address that was detailed in the ransom
- 1:41Speaker 1: note that was sent to kold and other outlets including TMZ.
- 1:47Speaker 1: The amount of money is not being disclosed at this time.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Tuesday's activity comes just hours after investigators released a new
- 1:55Speaker 1: surveillance video for Today host Savannah Guthrie's missing mother as
- 1:59Speaker 1: a surge which has entered its second week. On Tuesday,
- 2:03Speaker 1: law enforcement released that video, as well as still images
- 2:07Speaker 1: of an armed man captured on a nest camera outside
- 2:11Speaker 1: the eighty four year old's home in the Foothills. Not
- 2:16Speaker 1: to be clear, we're also being told from Cash Pattel,
- 2:20Speaker 1: who spoke to Fox News Channel that the FBI has
- 2:23Speaker 1: quote multiple persons of interest that they are talking to
- 2:27Speaker 1: and looking into right now. Now back to the video.
- 2:31Speaker 1: The video shows a mass person at Guthrie's door, wearing
- 2:35Speaker 1: a jacket, gloves, pants, and carrying a backpack. The FPI
- 2:39Speaker 1: confirmed that they believe the person in the video is
- 2:41Speaker 1: a man and identified him as a suspect in her disappearance.
- 2:46Speaker 1: The video shared by the FBI director Patel, shows the
- 2:49Speaker 1: man cupping the camera before walking to the front yard.
- 2:53Speaker 1: He then returns the front door, holding a small flashlight
- 2:56Speaker 1: in his mouth and attempting to cover the doorbell camera
- 3:00Speaker 1: with what appears to be a plant or flowers. Investigators
- 3:04Speaker 1: say the man was armed. The videos appear to show
- 3:07Speaker 1: a holstered gun on his waistband. Shortly after the photos
- 3:11Speaker 1: and videos were released, Savannah Guthrie shared the photos on
- 3:14Speaker 1: her Instagram, asking anyone with information to call law enforcement,
- 3:19Speaker 1: saying quote, we believe she is still alive, bring her home.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Savannah's mother, Nancy, was last seen on January the thirty first,
- 3:28Speaker 1: after being dropped off at her Tucson area home, and
- 3:31Speaker 1: was reported missing the next day. After missing, church authorities
- 3:35Speaker 1: said they believe she was taken obviously against her will,
- 3:38Speaker 1: and now the FBI is asking for anyone's help that
- 3:42Speaker 1: may have tips to call the number one a hundred
- 3:46Speaker 1: call FBI.
- 3:47Speaker 2: That's one a hundred call FBI.
- 3:50Speaker 1: They're also asking if you want to send in tips,
- 3:52Speaker 1: to send them to tips dot FBI dot gov. Again,
- 3:56Speaker 1: you can go to tips dot FBI dot gov, which
- 4:00Speaker 1: brings us to the next part of the story about
- 4:02Speaker 1: the cryptocurrency going in to the account. Tmz founder said
- 4:08Speaker 1: this on CNN about the new activity in the bitcoin account.
- 4:14Speaker 3: So obviously that it's legitimate and it's from the Tucson
- 4:16Speaker 3: area that person is, which I know, Harvey, is something
- 4:19Speaker 3: you had been saying based on your own receiving of
- 4:23Speaker 3: the note and how it read and what you had seen.
- 4:26Speaker 3: So this corroborates that. Now the ransom note that you
- 4:29Speaker 3: received had that bitcoin address for a ransom payment. We're
- 4:31Speaker 3: now twenty four hours and twenty five minutes past the
- 4:34Speaker 3: deadline for that payment, and I know you have still
- 4:37Speaker 3: been checking for any payments.
- 4:39Speaker 4: What are you seeing?
- 4:42Speaker 5: So about twelve minutes ago, we saw activity in.
- 4:47Speaker 4: That account, activity like what That's what I can't talk about.
- 4:55Speaker 5: There are reasons I can't, but all I can say
- 4:59Speaker 5: is there is now activity in that bitcoin account.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Okay, now, let me just ask one more question and
- 5:07Speaker 3: you'll share with me what you can. But when you
- 5:09Speaker 3: say activity, is that that you can see money as
- 5:11Speaker 3: going into the account or are you able to tell
- 5:13Speaker 3: whether it's money going in or going out.
- 5:16Speaker 5: Well, it would only show as I understand this money
- 5:19Speaker 5: going in and the only thing you would see is
- 5:23Speaker 5: money and Aaron. That's all I can say.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Okay, all right, So obviously that's crucial information. So you're
- 5:30Speaker 3: saying about twelve minutes ago, so you see you actually
- 5:35Speaker 3: saw money go into that bitcoin account. And just to
- 5:37Speaker 3: be clear, this is the bitcoin account in the first
- 5:40Speaker 3: letter where the individual had said you're not going to
- 5:42Speaker 3: hear from me again, and this is where to wire
- 5:45Speaker 3: what the second letter made clear after last night would
- 5:48Speaker 3: have been six million dollars.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Yeah, yesterday I said to you that I didn't know
- 5:55Speaker 5: whether that second letter may have contained a different bitcoin address.
- 6:00Speaker 5: I don't think it did now because I can tell
- 6:03Speaker 5: you that the link we have from the first letter
- 6:06Speaker 5: is what we've been checking. And again all I can
- 6:09Speaker 5: say is as of a few minutes ago, for the
- 6:13Speaker 5: first time we saw activity.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Now, Harvey, can I ask you one other thing? And
- 6:17Speaker 3: I know you're not. You can't tell me how much
- 6:18Speaker 3: money and you can't you can't say that, But does
- 6:22Speaker 3: when does it allow you to see any kind of
- 6:25Speaker 3: notification as to anything about for example, when you venmo somebody,
- 6:32Speaker 3: and you can sometimes see things publicly about who's venmoing
- 6:36Speaker 3: or what it's about. Is there anything that would be
- 6:38Speaker 3: identifying about it, even if you can't understand what the
- 6:41Speaker 3: identifying is or is it simply a balance?
- 6:46Speaker 5: Yeah, I was worried coming on because of your persistence.
- 6:50Speaker 5: I am in a tough spot right now, and maybe
- 6:53Speaker 5: later we can talk about why. But I can only
- 6:58Speaker 5: tell you that we have seen activity in the account.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Okay, now, Harvey, from your understanding, from your law enforcements.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Now, since that interview was done, we also have new
- 7:08Speaker 1: reporting that is breaking as we speak. Reports are now
- 7:11Speaker 1: indicating that a quote small transaction, so not millions of
- 7:16Speaker 1: dollars was made far below the ransom demand, but authorities
- 7:20Speaker 1: have not publicly disclosed details or confirmed whether any payment
- 7:25Speaker 1: was made by the family. That coming now from People magazine.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Now the FBI. Not only do they release the new
- 7:32Speaker 1: video and images of a mask an armed person seen
- 7:35Speaker 1: on property shortly before Nancy was last seen, but analysts
- 7:39Speaker 1: are still urging the public to help identify the individual
- 7:42Speaker 1: any way they can. Now after Nancy's disappearance, there have
- 7:46Speaker 1: been multiple ransom notes that have surface, including one that
- 7:50Speaker 1: demanded four million in bitcoin later that was raised to
- 7:53Speaker 1: six million. Deadlines for the bitcoin payments have passed without
- 7:58Speaker 1: confirmed payment or proof of life from any purported captors.
- 8:03Speaker 1: Authorities believe the case is a criminal abduction, and the
- 8:07Speaker 1: Trump administration made it clear that all federal resources would
- 8:11Speaker 1: be used. That means there has been an extensive search
- 8:14Speaker 1: efforts that have continued, with the FBI and local law
- 8:18Speaker 1: enforcement working together. Now, where Nancy Guthrie is currently located
- 8:23Speaker 1: remains obviously unknown, and there has been no verified proof
- 8:28Speaker 1: of life since she was taken. It is also unclear
- 8:32Speaker 1: if the recent bitcoin wallet activity is directly linked to
- 8:36Speaker 1: our alleged kidnappers, or if it provides actionable investigative leads.
- 8:43Speaker 1: We're also being told that the detained individual has not
- 8:47Speaker 1: been publicly identified or charged, and investigators are continuing search
- 8:52Speaker 1: warrants as well as analysis. This also coming after the
- 8:57Speaker 1: FBI director has also come out saying there are multiple
- 9:00Speaker 1: persons of interest, not just one individual. This obviously is
- 9:06Speaker 1: a very important moment in time, certainly important, especially knowing
- 9:11Speaker 1: we're moved into week two and with no one putting
- 9:15Speaker 1: out anything from the captives showing proof of life.
- 9:18Speaker 2: There are major concerns.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Time is obviously of the essence, and it's clear that
- 9:25Speaker 1: the President of United States of America is giving everything
- 9:28Speaker 1: he can when it comes to resources to those locally
- 9:32Speaker 1: that need it to do everything they can to bring
- 9:34Speaker 1: Nancy Guthrie home. President Donald Trump doing another sit down interview,
- 9:40Speaker 1: talking about a wide range of issues, and we're going
- 9:44Speaker 1: to get into many of those, but one of the
- 9:45Speaker 1: ones that was very important to the President was dealing
- 9:48Speaker 1: with Iran, saying that Iran would be foolish not to
- 9:52Speaker 1: make a nuclear missile deal. He also talked about sending
- 9:56Speaker 1: a second aircraft carrier to the region, Trump borning Iran,
- 10:01Speaker 1: don't be foolish and get a deal done now. The
- 10:04Speaker 1: comments landed hours after Axios reported that Trump is considering
- 10:09Speaker 1: sending a second aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East.
- 10:12Speaker 1: If negotiations collapse, either we will make a deal or
- 10:16Speaker 1: we will not have a deal, and we'll have to
- 10:18Speaker 1: do something very tough like last time. Trump told Axos,
- 10:22Speaker 1: adding we have an armada that is heading there, and
- 10:25Speaker 1: another one might be going. A US official also confirmed
- 10:30Speaker 1: discussions about deploying another strike group, Axos reported. In addition
- 10:34Speaker 1: to the USS Abraham Lincoln in its strike group, and
- 10:37Speaker 1: this is clearly a build up that Trump is framed
- 10:40Speaker 1: us both leverage and the alternative to diplomacy in that context.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Last time is a direct reference to the Operation Midnight Hammer,
- 10:51Speaker 1: the US strikes on Iran's nuclear sykes roughly six months ago,
- 10:55Speaker 1: the cap the twelve day Israel Iran War, a precedent
- 10:59Speaker 1: Trump is explicitly holding up as the consequences of Iranian defiance,
- 11:05Speaker 1: that threat of escalation is colliding with Tehran's declared red lines.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Irana's publicly insisted negotiations being limited strictly to nuclear enrichment levels,
- 11:18Speaker 1: not enrichment itself, and has rejected any discussion of missiles
- 11:23Speaker 1: or regional proxy forces that would be them supporting Hesblahamas
- 11:28Speaker 1: and other terrorist organizations. And that's where the fueling of
- 11:32Speaker 1: the skepticism in Washington as well as in Israel in
- 11:36Speaker 1: Jerusalem that a comprehensive deal is well maybe not even
- 11:40Speaker 1: realistic with Iran. The Israeli Prime Minister net Yahoo is
- 11:45Speaker 1: also set to meet with President Trump today at the
- 11:48Speaker 1: White House, with Iram being the first and foremost issue
- 11:51Speaker 1: on the agenda. Netnyahu said he has departed for Washington,
- 11:56Speaker 1: adding he will represent the essential principles he argues are
- 12:01Speaker 1: vital not only for Israel, but to everyone around the
- 12:05Speaker 1: world who wants peace and security in the Middle East. Now,
- 12:10Speaker 1: this also comes as US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Kakabi,
- 12:13Speaker 1: speaking before boarding a flight to Washington, Netnyahu, said there
- 12:16Speaker 1: is quote extraordinary alignment between Israel and the United States
- 12:21Speaker 1: on Iran, while stressing the outcome ultimately depends on Tehran's choices.
- 12:27Speaker 1: On the Iranian side, officials moved quickly to reinforce their position.
- 12:32Speaker 1: The Iranian Foreign minister said Tuesday that Israel is attempting
- 12:36Speaker 1: to sabotage diplomacy and warned US officials not to allow
- 12:41Speaker 1: outside actors a shape American foreign policy, while also criticizing
- 12:46Speaker 1: new sanctions announced after the Oman meetings took place. Now,
- 12:51Speaker 1: this isn't all that the President dealt with today. In
- 12:54Speaker 1: the interview, he also talked about the border and how
- 12:57Speaker 1: important it is that we have a secure Here's what
- 13:01Speaker 1: President Trump had to say on Fox Business with Larry Kudloup.
- 13:04Speaker 6: We have the strongest border in the history of our country.
- 13:08Speaker 6: We have democrat people giving us the statistics that no
- 13:13Speaker 6: people have come into our country illegally in the last
- 13:17Speaker 6: eight months. Even I can't believe that totally, but I'll
- 13:20Speaker 6: take it. But essentially, no people have come in. Nobody's
- 13:23Speaker 6: coming through a border. They only come in legally. We've
- 13:26Speaker 6: done an unbelievable job. I don't think we've given any credit.
- 13:29Speaker 6: One of the problems that I find in politics. So
- 13:33Speaker 6: I got elected to a large extent on the border.
- 13:37Speaker 6: I've done such a good job in the border that
- 13:39Speaker 6: nobody wants to talk about it anymore. Like when I
- 13:41Speaker 6: mentioned border, sir, they don't want to hear about it.
- 13:43Speaker 6: You solve that problem. I don't get any credit for anything.
- 13:46Speaker 6: I mean, I do these things. You would say, I've
- 13:49Speaker 6: done a great job at the border. Right, nobody coming in.
- 13:51Speaker 6: We have a strong border. Drugs are way down, you know,
- 13:55Speaker 6: by knocking out those votes, we have dropped drugs spent
- 13:58Speaker 6: about thirty three And now we're going to start on land.
- 14:02Speaker 6: We had to do the boats first because they would
- 14:05Speaker 6: go immediately to the boats. If you hit them on land,
- 14:07Speaker 6: they go to the boat. So we do the boats first.
- 14:09Speaker 6: Now there are no boats. Now we're going to hit
- 14:11Speaker 6: them on the land. We're going to hit them very hard.
- 14:13Speaker 4: On land.
- 14:14Speaker 6: We've knocked down drugs. Every one of those boats. It's nasty,
- 14:17Speaker 6: but every one of those boats that shut down in
- 14:20Speaker 6: the seas you've been watching it. We saved twenty five
- 14:24Speaker 6: thousand American lives. So we've done a great job. The
- 14:27Speaker 6: problem is that I'm not sure that people see it.
- 14:31Speaker 6: Maybe we have a public relations problem because.
- 14:34Speaker 4: I don't know that we get it out the way chick.
- 14:37Speaker 6: Because I don't think anybody has had a more successful
- 14:40Speaker 6: first year as a president than I have with all
- 14:43Speaker 6: of the things we did. And then in the previous administration,
- 14:46Speaker 6: my previous my first term, I rebuilt the military and
- 14:51Speaker 6: that's why we had venezuela tremendous success. As you know,
- 14:56Speaker 6: we have a massive flotilla right now going over to
- 14:59Speaker 6: a we'll see what happens.
- 15:01Speaker 4: I think they want to make a deal. I think
- 15:02Speaker 4: they'd be foolish if they didn't.
- 15:04Speaker 6: We took out their nuclear power last time, and we'll
- 15:07Speaker 6: have to see we take out more this time.
- 15:09Speaker 7: Do you think a deal with you?
- 15:10Speaker 4: Iran? Now?
- 15:12Speaker 1: The President also talked about the issue with sanctuary cities
- 15:15Speaker 1: as well, and here's where you had to say about
- 15:17Speaker 1: the criminals that are being protected by so many liberals.
- 15:22Speaker 7: It just seems to me, in general, we're large. If
- 15:25Speaker 7: you abide by the immigration laws, stop all this sanctuary
- 15:30Speaker 7: city business, that's the most affordable thing possible you save.
- 15:35Speaker 7: I mean, I look at what's happened in New York. Okay,
- 15:39Speaker 7: what Mayor Adams had to spend. He's spent a fortune
- 15:42Speaker 7: on ten twelve billion dollars, maybe fifteen billion dollars because
- 15:46Speaker 7: he was giving money away to illegals, many of whom
- 15:49Speaker 7: are criminal illegals. I mean, it seems to me if
- 15:53Speaker 7: those laws are upheld, if sanctuary cities, for example, are
- 15:57Speaker 7: defunded some as you have talked about. Lindsay Graham has
- 16:00Speaker 7: talked about, that's an affordability issue. There are huge savings
- 16:04Speaker 7: there and you can go after the waste fraud in them.
- 16:06Speaker 6: So Linds is really hot on getting rid of sanctuary cities.
- 16:10Speaker 4: I'm backing them one hundred percent. We got to do it.
- 16:13Speaker 6: We're hot, and it's sort of the Security Act you
- 16:16Speaker 6: could call it, but we have to do it. You know,
- 16:18Speaker 6: sanctuary cities are only good for people. It's sanctuary for criminals. Okay,
- 16:23Speaker 6: they are protecting criminals. Those states could hand those people
- 16:28Speaker 6: over to us. They crime would go down. We'd get
- 16:32Speaker 6: them out of the country. They can't do what we
- 16:33Speaker 6: could do. We can get them out of the country.
- 16:35Speaker 6: They can't do it. But there's sanctuaries for criminals. They
- 16:38Speaker 6: have the word, they have killers, they have drug lords,
- 16:41Speaker 6: they have trend de Iragua all over the place.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Now.
- 16:45Speaker 1: President Trump was also asked about the Minnesota fraud scandal,
- 16:49Speaker 1: and here's what he had to say about that.
- 16:52Speaker 7: So you're going to still go after the whole waste fraud, Well, yeah,
- 16:55Speaker 7: in Minnesota.
- 16:56Speaker 6: Take a look at Minnesota. So we think it's at
- 16:59Speaker 6: least ninety keen billion dollars of fraud, medical, every fraud.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Somalia has come in here.
- 17:07Speaker 6: What they've done to our country, these people they've come
- 17:10Speaker 6: into our country, and what they've done with that fake congresswoman,
- 17:14Speaker 6: she's so bad.
- 17:16Speaker 4: No, we're going to get to the bottom of it.
- 17:18Speaker 6: We have the best, We have the best people in
- 17:21Speaker 6: the maybe in the whole country looking at that. We're
- 17:24Speaker 6: looking at California too, because California is worse.
- 17:27Speaker 4: But you know, if we.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Find fifty percent, you know, look, they've been robbing and
- 17:34Speaker 6: ripping off this country for many years, for decades, right,
- 17:37Speaker 6: if we find fifty percent of what's happened, we have
- 17:42Speaker 6: a balanced budget without cutting anybody. We have a balanced budget,
- 17:46Speaker 6: and we'll find that Minnesota's very corrupt, California is very corrupt,
- 17:50Speaker 6: a lot of states are very corrupt.
- 17:54Speaker 1: You think about the tax issue there, he says, we
- 17:56Speaker 1: have a balanced budget if we can just cut out
- 17:59Speaker 1: half of the corruption. That's how much is out there
- 18:03Speaker 1: that is being wasted of your tax dollars as we speak.
- 18:07Speaker 1: The President also had this to say about the future
- 18:11Speaker 1: in this country for Americans when it comes to home
- 18:14Speaker 1: ownership and interest rates. And also he was asked about
- 18:20Speaker 1: the FED chair pick.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Take a listen.
- 18:24Speaker 7: Do you know you wanted Kevin Warsh? So officially it
- 18:28Speaker 7: was two Fridays ago, but when did well, I made
- 18:30Speaker 7: a mistake.
- 18:31Speaker 4: He was runner up if you want.
- 18:33Speaker 6: To see was a finalist, Yeah, he was, And I
- 18:35Speaker 6: made a mistake because I had somebody that was my
- 18:39Speaker 6: Secretary of the Treasury wanted him so badly, so badly,
- 18:43Speaker 6: and you know, I didn't feel.
- 18:46Speaker 4: Good about him.
- 18:47Speaker 6: But sometimes you listen to people, and it was a mistake.
- 18:50Speaker 6: It was really a big mistake. But I think we're
- 18:54Speaker 6: going to do something that's really spectacular. And then Biden
- 18:57Speaker 6: renewed him, which was shocking to me. That was bad
- 18:59Speaker 6: because Biden renewed him. I said, oh boy, this is lousy,
- 19:02Speaker 6: because if I win, I'm going to inherit this guy for.
- 19:05Speaker 4: A period of time.
- 19:05Speaker 7: Can I just raise one point.
- 19:07Speaker 6: All he has to do is lower interest rates. Interest
- 19:09Speaker 6: rates should be lower. You know, every point is six
- 19:13Speaker 6: hundred billion dollars. Think of that, six hundred billion dollars.
- 19:18Speaker 6: All he has to do. If we went down two points,
- 19:20Speaker 6: we don't have a deficit anymore.
- 19:23Speaker 4: And that's without cutting.
- 19:24Speaker 6: And it's just a paper charge when you think about it,
- 19:26Speaker 6: it's a paper charge.
- 19:28Speaker 4: We should be the lowest interest rate in the world.
- 19:31Speaker 6: The reason I bring up the Switzerland because we should
- 19:34Speaker 6: be lower than We should be lower than everybody.
- 19:36Speaker 4: You know, Switzerland's like just about the lowest.
- 19:39Speaker 6: If I charge them tariffs, they would not be doing
- 19:43Speaker 6: very well.
- 19:44Speaker 4: They would not be doing very well.
- 19:46Speaker 6: I treated them very nicely, actually, but they would and
- 19:49Speaker 6: many other countries would not be doing very well.
- 19:51Speaker 4: So I'm being very judicious to.
- 19:53Speaker 6: Put it mildly, but this country should have the lowest
- 19:58Speaker 6: interest rates in the world.
- 19:59Speaker 4: We keep the world going.
- 20:01Speaker 6: We allowed you know how many definite When I got here,
- 20:03Speaker 6: almost every single country in the world that we did
- 20:06Speaker 6: business with made money off of us. We didn't make money.
- 20:09Speaker 6: We had deficits with everybody. And I call that a loss.
- 20:13Speaker 6: You know, a lot of people say, oh, it doesn't matter,
- 20:14Speaker 6: it doesn't matter a.
- 20:15Speaker 4: Lot to me. I call it a loss.
- 20:17Speaker 6: So we are losing money with every single country in
- 20:20Speaker 6: the world, just about.
- 20:21Speaker 4: There were a couple. I don't know what happened. Maybe
- 20:24Speaker 4: we got lucky, but we had the.
- 20:26Speaker 6: Worst negotiators, and we had presidents that were allows e
- 20:30Speaker 6: business people. And you know, I liked Ronald Reagan, but
- 20:32Speaker 6: Ronald Reagan was bad on trade. Everybody has problems. He
- 20:36Speaker 6: was not good on trade. He allowed Japan to come
- 20:38Speaker 6: in and Germany to come in.
- 20:40Speaker 4: But we both like him.
- 20:41Speaker 6: And he was a good president, but he wasn't.
- 20:43Speaker 4: Good on trade.
- 20:43Speaker 7: To cut my teeth with him, but Bob Leitthheiser would
- 20:46Speaker 7: disagree with you. I don't want to spend too much
- 20:49Speaker 7: time to us. Reagan was tougher than you think on
- 20:52Speaker 7: you only.
- 20:52Speaker 6: On trade, I think, well, he had the big, big
- 20:56Speaker 6: shootout with Japan and he folded and they came in and.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Took our car market.
- 21:02Speaker 7: Can I go back.
- 21:03Speaker 4: I'm a fan of.
- 21:04Speaker 6: His and I thought he was just sort of had
- 21:06Speaker 6: a great presence. But on trade, if you look at
- 21:10Speaker 6: every president we have over the last fifty years, was
- 21:14Speaker 6: bad on trade, every single one.
- 21:17Speaker 7: Well they didn't understand.
- 21:18Speaker 4: But I'm not bad on trade. I'm real good on trade.
- 21:21Speaker 1: You're arguing the President talking there not only about trade,
- 21:24Speaker 1: but also saying the US should have the lowest interest
- 21:27Speaker 1: rates in the world. Interest rates should be lower, and
- 21:31Speaker 1: that means more Americans can afford to buy homes and
- 21:34Speaker 1: other things. This is the Trump doctrine on full display.
- 21:39Speaker 1: And he's also doing interviews with whoever wants to talk
- 21:42Speaker 1: to him. Another example of the President being so open
- 21:46Speaker 1: about what he wants for this country. I tell you what,
- 21:50Speaker 1: if you watched the Super Bowl, it was kind of boring,
- 21:54Speaker 1: it was lame. The halftime thing we've already covered. But
- 21:57Speaker 1: there is a bigger story that's coming out of the
- 21:59Speaker 1: Super That is I think one of those perfect, massive
- 22:04Speaker 1: moments of warning that if you don't pay attention to
- 22:09Speaker 1: what's happening where you live and who's running your city,
- 22:12Speaker 1: you're gonna end up getting exactly what has happened in
- 22:16Speaker 1: New York City with Mundani, and they have like no
- 22:19Speaker 1: trash pick up right now, and ice that's all over
- 22:22Speaker 1: the place, and snow that's built up and it's turning
- 22:25Speaker 1: into a disaster. You also have a mayor that after
- 22:29Speaker 1: a robber hurts someone else, he defended the robber and said,
- 22:33Speaker 1: that's the person needs help, not the person that was
- 22:36Speaker 1: injured in the attack by the robber. That's that's who
- 22:40Speaker 1: is in charge in New York City. You look at
- 22:42Speaker 1: California and you see just the mismanagement with the wildfires
- 22:46Speaker 1: out there is a great example. The mismanagement with the drugs,
- 22:49Speaker 1: the mismanagement with a crime, the mismanagement with with you know,
- 22:53Speaker 1: they have the safe needle places and it turns into
- 22:56Speaker 1: a crack city. And we've seen San Francisco. We've seen
- 22:59Speaker 1: what has happened to San Francisco. It is no longer
- 23:02Speaker 1: a safe city. It is a disaster. Companies are closing, malls,
- 23:05Speaker 1: are closing, shops are closing, crime totally out of control.
- 23:09Speaker 1: They get to host the super Bowl, and what do
- 23:12Speaker 1: you get for being at the super Bowl? You get
- 23:15Speaker 1: a tax bill that's more than what you actually made.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm going to give you this incredible story that's come
- 23:21Speaker 1: out from the New York Post and it's really gone viral.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Sam Donald's insane California tax bill stunningly exceeds his Super
- 23:32Speaker 1: Bowl winnings is the headline. Sam Donald's big Super Bowl
- 23:37Speaker 1: win Sunday night actually ended up costing the quarterback money,
- 23:41Speaker 1: So he lost money playing in the Super Bowl and
- 23:43Speaker 1: winning it for one reason, because of California's tax laws. Now,
- 23:51Speaker 1: the Seahawks star will oh are you ready for this?
- 23:55Speaker 1: More than one hundred and seventy eight thousand that he
- 24:00Speaker 1: earned for helping live Seattle to a twenty nine to
- 24:03Speaker 1: thirteen of victory over the Patriots at Levi Stadium in
- 24:08Speaker 1: Santa Clair, California. According to reports, Darnold's bill to the
- 24:14Speaker 1: Golden State I'm talking literally California, will be two hundred
- 24:20Speaker 1: and forty nine thousand dollars. Following Seattle's latest championship. The
- 24:26Speaker 1: outlet stated that the sizeable check is due to California's
- 24:30Speaker 1: What they have passed is a quote jock taxes like
- 24:34Speaker 1: a jock, like a jock.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Like literally, you're an athlete, We're gonna punish you.
- 24:39Speaker 1: It forces pro athletes who don't live in the state
- 24:43Speaker 1: to fork over percentages of their yearly income based on
- 24:48Speaker 1: the number of days they work in California.
- 24:52Speaker 2: The days have been dubbed duty.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Days, and after the Seahawks touched down in northern California
- 24:59Speaker 1: on February the first, Donald and the rest of his
- 25:03Speaker 1: team accumulated not one, not two, not three, not four,
- 25:06Speaker 1: not five, not six, not seven, but eight days total
- 25:11Speaker 1: by playing in the Super Bowl, say night, because when
- 25:14Speaker 1: you land is when they start the clock. So you
- 25:16Speaker 1: get there for all the festivities, and you get there
- 25:19Speaker 1: for the week of the Super Bowl, right, they charge
- 25:22Speaker 1: you for that. The Seahawks are expected to amass even
- 25:26Speaker 1: more in twenty twenty six due to games they will
- 25:29Speaker 1: play in the state next season. On top of that,
- 25:33Speaker 1: the report is saying that those in the league are furious.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Why Well, you can go back to Donald, who is
- 25:41Speaker 1: the middle of a three year, one hundred and five
- 25:43Speaker 1: million dollar contract with the Seattle Seahawks. He will ultimately
- 25:47Speaker 1: lose some seventy one thousand dollars for lifting his first
- 25:52Speaker 1: ever Lombardi Trophy.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Now this is insane.
- 25:59Speaker 1: I want you to hear what the sports talk stations
- 26:02Speaker 1: were saying about this.
- 26:03Speaker 2: This is a guy named Boomer.
- 26:05Speaker 1: He has a show on CBS Sports Network, and this
- 26:07Speaker 1: is how he explained the economics to the sports community today.
- 26:12Speaker 8: For winning the Super Bowl, the winning team, each player
- 26:15Speaker 8: gets one hundred and seventy eight thousand dollars. In other words,
- 26:18Speaker 8: the Super Bowl isn't a part of their salary. And
- 26:20Speaker 8: because the game was played in California. In California has
- 26:24Speaker 8: a jock tax, and they look at duty days. So
- 26:30Speaker 8: each team spends seven days in the state of California,
- 26:33Speaker 8: so those are seven duty days, and they pierce your
- 26:37Speaker 8: regular salary at three point five percent, so he has
- 26:42Speaker 8: to pay. When you take an account, he got the
- 26:45Speaker 8: one hundred and seventy eight thousand plus his overall salary,
- 26:50Speaker 8: he has to pay the state of California for spending
- 26:52Speaker 8: seven days there two hundred and forty nine thousand dollars.
- 26:57Speaker 4: That's just so stupid.
- 26:59Speaker 8: Depicently, it ends up costing him seventy one thousand dollars.
- 27:04Speaker 8: The goal play in California. Now, but I'm the NFLPA.
- 27:08Speaker 1: By the way, let me explain to you what the
- 27:09Speaker 1: NFLPA is. If you don't know, the NFLPA is a
- 27:13Speaker 1: National Football League's Players Association. All right, that's what the
- 27:17Speaker 1: NLPA stands for. And what you're about to hear Boomer
- 27:20Speaker 1: talk about is if I'm a player, I would do
- 27:24Speaker 1: everything I possibly could do to never play a game
- 27:28Speaker 1: in California, and I would mandate that we never have
- 27:31Speaker 1: a super Bowl there at all, because to go win
- 27:35Speaker 1: a super Bowl and then have to lose money to
- 27:39Speaker 1: play in the Super Bowl is total insanity. And again
- 27:44Speaker 1: it's because in California they have passed the jock tax.
- 27:50Speaker 1: So you're an athlete and we want to screw you
- 27:53Speaker 1: to the point where when you play in the Super
- 27:55Speaker 1: Bowl you actually lose money.
- 27:57Speaker 8: Now, you got to remember it's probably even more than
- 28:00Speaker 8: that because since he's in Seattle, he's playing, he's playing
- 28:04Speaker 8: against San Francisco forty nine ers. That's another day he's there.
- 28:07Speaker 8: And he's playing against the LA Rams, that's another day
- 28:10Speaker 8: he's there. So he's probably had like nine or ten
- 28:12Speaker 8: duty days or maybe even more than that in the
- 28:15Speaker 8: state of California. So if I'm the NFLPA, I'm like, hey,
- 28:19Speaker 8: we're not playing any more super Bowls in you know,
- 28:22Speaker 8: in California, We're not doing it.
- 28:24Speaker 2: We're just not doing it.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Now, you think about this, if one day, right, you
- 28:29Speaker 1: may not care as much. Okay, you're like, all right,
- 28:31Speaker 1: I got two games there, I got to play, and
- 28:34Speaker 1: so that's one day of your pay in the regular season.
- 28:38Speaker 1: But when you have a super Bowl, you're there for
- 28:41Speaker 1: eight days. And when you're there for eight days, this
- 28:46Speaker 1: is what it costs you. Another one put it out
- 28:49Speaker 1: there saying it this way. So let me get this straight.
- 28:52Speaker 1: The quarterback who wins the super Bowl goes to communists
- 28:56Speaker 1: California and loses money to play in the Super Bow
- 29:00Speaker 1: while winning it. What's even more crazy is that those
- 29:04Speaker 1: who lost the game will actually make more money than
- 29:09Speaker 1: the people that won the game in California. I mean
- 29:15Speaker 1: that could be true. By the way, Like if you
- 29:17Speaker 1: lost the game, you didn't get the bonuses, then there's
- 29:20Speaker 1: less reportable income, which means less of a tax liability,
- 29:24Speaker 1: which means you may actually come out ahead because your
- 29:27Speaker 1: bonus is only for the actual game day.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 29:30Speaker 1: The money you make if you win the super Bowl,
- 29:32Speaker 1: that bonus, right is actually.
- 29:37Speaker 2: For that one day.
- 29:38Speaker 1: But they're charging you for eight days of your annual
- 29:43Speaker 1: salary and they break that up. So in other words,
- 29:47Speaker 1: what you're making your lump sum is being tax not
- 29:52Speaker 1: just the bonus of the super Bowl.
- 29:54Speaker 2: That's why you're losing money.
- 29:56Speaker 1: If you really want to get into this, if you're
- 29:59Speaker 1: a player that gets to go to the super Bowl
- 30:03Speaker 1: and you don't make a lot of money, let's say
- 30:04Speaker 1: you're special teams, maybe you're in the league minimum, and
- 30:08Speaker 1: you go to the super Bowl.
- 30:09Speaker 2: It's your dream.
- 30:11Speaker 1: You could actually like bust a guy up financially over
- 30:16Speaker 1: the eight days of being in California. And the quarterback
- 30:20Speaker 1: here is just the perfect example of this. So I
- 30:24Speaker 1: go back to this other note here because it's really
- 30:26Speaker 1: interested Okay interesting here. Don't will receive one hundred and
- 30:28Speaker 1: seventy eight thousand winners bonus, but owes California two hundred
- 30:32Speaker 1: and forty nine thousand in taxes because he was there
- 30:35Speaker 1: for eight days.
- 30:36Speaker 2: That means he.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Will owe more than seventy one thousand dollars for playing
- 30:40Speaker 1: in the super Bowl and winning it. This is what communism,
- 30:44Speaker 1: by the way, sounds like in real life. This is
- 30:47Speaker 1: what Marxism and communists and socialists do. They go after
- 30:53Speaker 1: people that have money first. It will trickle down to
- 30:57Speaker 1: the people that they say are safe and when you
- 31:00Speaker 1: do what I mean, I mean to even have enough
- 31:03Speaker 1: people in the legislature to pass a quote official name
- 31:08Speaker 1: jock tax, which imposes the highest income rate you can
- 31:13Speaker 1: on non resident athletes participating in sporting events. If you
- 31:18Speaker 1: want to destroy and I think part of is California
- 31:21Speaker 1: is like, we don't care, Like we can get away
- 31:23Speaker 1: with this because we're California, So we don't care that
- 31:27Speaker 1: there's a little bit of bad press here because we're
- 31:30Speaker 1: going to make a bunch of money off of them. Again,
- 31:32Speaker 1: we don't care. I tell you this is coming to
- 31:35Speaker 1: you soon. If you don't pay attention, well, keep following
- 31:39Speaker 1: this story. I can promise you that we've got a
- 31:42Speaker 1: lot more that's going to happen the days ahead.
- 31:44Speaker 2: So make sure you don't forget.
