- 0:24Speaker 1: together for I don't join me. You gotta use that
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn you you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn
- 1:43Speaker 1: You haven't got to turn them out to turn the
- 1:46Speaker 1: water the water go. Come come on your thah, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: shall will. Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: Come on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man. What an amazing blessing. God
- 2:16Speaker 1: has given me my health, my dreams, all of it.
- 2:21Speaker 1: God gave it to me. I accept it. I work hard,
- 2:26Speaker 1: but man on, man on, man, I work hard is
- 2:29Speaker 1: something that He gave me a gift. And that's what
- 2:32Speaker 1: I want to talk to you about today, because God
- 2:35Speaker 1: has gifted everyone, so I can't help but believe it.
- 2:39Speaker 1: You are gifted in some way. Something about you it's
- 2:43Speaker 1: specially and unique. That doesn't mean you're the only one
- 2:46Speaker 1: that can sing, or you the only one that can write?
- 2:49Speaker 1: Are you the only one that can draw? You're the
- 2:51Speaker 1: only one that can decorate? Are you the only one
- 2:54Speaker 1: that can network? Or you're the only one that that's
- 2:56Speaker 1: not what it means. Or you have a great scientific
- 2:59Speaker 1: mind you can figure things out, or you're good and
- 3:01Speaker 1: problem solving. You're not the only one, but you are
- 3:04Speaker 1: a unique individual. Nobody will travel the exact path that
- 3:07Speaker 1: you own. Nobody will have everything happened in a series
- 3:11Speaker 1: of circumstances in the order that you're going to have
- 3:14Speaker 1: it happened to you. That's what I mean when I
- 3:17Speaker 1: say that you are unique. But now because you are gifted,
- 3:22Speaker 1: you know you have something you have to do. You know,
- 3:24Speaker 1: there's a scripture. It's in Proverbs, Proverbs eighteen and sixteen.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I've been trying to be a little bit better at
- 3:31Speaker 1: that for you, you know. So when I have an
- 3:33Speaker 1: idea and I know where it is, I have somebody
- 3:36Speaker 1: looked the scripture up from it handed to me. So
- 3:38Speaker 1: it's in Proverbs eighteen sixteen. And this is the layman's
- 3:42Speaker 1: term of it. It says a man's gift make room
- 3:45Speaker 1: for him and brings him before great men. It is
- 3:50Speaker 1: your gift that will make room for you. Now my
- 3:53Speaker 1: interpretation of this is this. Now I could be wrong.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Please go to your local church, Synder God Temple, mass.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Whatever you do and go get clarification. But what my
- 4:04Speaker 1: gift has done in making room for me is I've
- 4:07Speaker 1: taken it almost in the literal sense. My gift has
- 4:10Speaker 1: actually made room for me. It has cleared paths for me.
- 4:14Speaker 1: My gift has opened up doors for me. That's what
- 4:17Speaker 1: I take it as. It'll make room for you. My
- 4:20Speaker 1: gift has is broadened my ability to travel. My gift
- 4:24Speaker 1: has opened my eyes to fashion. My gift has caused
- 4:29Speaker 1: me to be able to provide for my family. My
- 4:33Speaker 1: gift has caused me to be able to reach more people.
- 4:37Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying in terms of it will make
- 4:40Speaker 1: room for you. That it may be another interpretation. I'm
- 4:43Speaker 1: just telling you how I took it, that it's worked
- 4:45Speaker 1: out pretty good for me to that understanding. But I'm
- 4:47Speaker 1: pretty sure Bishop Jake's, Joel Oldstein, Ken If Alma, you
- 4:51Speaker 1: know God, Glenn Staples, Bishop Glen Staples, these guys give
- 4:55Speaker 1: you much better understanding of it. I'm just giving it
- 4:57Speaker 1: to you, you know where I know how sold you,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I just like to keep it right there.
- 5:02Speaker 1: But and then it says that it brings you before
- 5:05Speaker 1: great men. I mean, you know it's gonna take you places.
- 5:09Speaker 1: It's gonna take your places you never thought of going.
- 5:12Speaker 1: You're gonna meet people because of your gift. I told
- 5:16Speaker 1: my son, who two of them are good photographers. You'll
- 5:18Speaker 1: be taking pictures of great men. And then I messed
- 5:21Speaker 1: with him. You already take the pictures, say your daddy.
- 5:23Speaker 1: You know I'm messing with him like that. But that's
- 5:24Speaker 1: just me and them just kicking it. But you know,
- 5:27Speaker 1: but one day, who knows, you could be shooting the president.
- 5:30Speaker 1: You know, you could be shooting some foreign dignitaries. You know,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you could be shooting great sport events. You know, you
- 5:35Speaker 1: never know where it could take you. But that's your guift.
- 5:38Speaker 1: What you gotta do is you gotta get to move
- 5:41Speaker 1: and though. See, you can't have your gift and not
- 5:43Speaker 1: do nothing with it. See. You know what that reminds
- 5:46Speaker 1: me of. It's something that my father used to say,
- 5:50Speaker 1: get up off your butt because you're sitting on a
- 5:53Speaker 1: gold mine. He's say that all the time. Boy, get
- 5:57Speaker 1: up off your butt and move it because you're sitting
- 5:59Speaker 1: on the old mind. I never really quite got that
- 6:01Speaker 1: when I was little, but now that I'm an adult,
- 6:04Speaker 1: I got it full well. See a lot of you
- 6:06Speaker 1: are sitting You're sitting on a talent or a gift
- 6:09Speaker 1: that you have. You're sitting on an ability. I don't
- 6:12Speaker 1: care if it's making cakes or pies. That's a gift, man,
- 6:16Speaker 1: that's a talent. I don't care if it's the ability
- 6:18Speaker 1: to do hew, that's a gift. Man. Half of you
- 6:21Speaker 1: are gifted. A lot of us are gifted, and we're
- 6:24Speaker 1: sitting on it, looking at other people wondering what can
- 6:27Speaker 1: I do to make it? You already got something to
- 6:30Speaker 1: make it with. If you would just get up off
- 6:32Speaker 1: your behind, man quits sitting on that gold mine. Some
- 6:36Speaker 1: of you are tech savvy, just a whiz is when
- 6:40Speaker 1: it comes to engineering and putting stuff together and cables
- 6:43Speaker 1: and wires and computers and stuff. And now you steady
- 6:46Speaker 1: looking around trying to figure out, man, wonder what I
- 6:49Speaker 1: can go do? How about you go do that? You
- 6:52Speaker 1: know it ain't that hard, man, if you would just
- 6:55Speaker 1: take note of what God has given you already. He
- 6:59Speaker 1: has given you a gift already. He has already given
- 7:02Speaker 1: you a talent. Now the fact that you ain't using
- 7:05Speaker 1: it and you're sitting on your tail somewhere now, who fathers.
- 7:10Speaker 1: What we're talking about, Well, what you you blaming God
- 7:14Speaker 1: for that? Man? I tell you what. I sit around
- 7:16Speaker 1: people all the time who are gifted, and I'm looking
- 7:21Speaker 1: at their gifts, and they steady complaining about what they
- 7:24Speaker 1: don't have, but will not get up off there behind
- 7:28Speaker 1: and use the gifts that God gave them. And it's frustrating.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It's gotta be frustrating for you if you're doing it,
- 7:36Speaker 1: because it's frustrating for me when I see it. So
- 7:38Speaker 1: when these people come to me and ask me for help,
- 7:40Speaker 1: I just keep going the same thing over and over.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Help yourself, man, do for you use your gift. It's
- 7:46Speaker 1: a cat sitting behind the wall right now, that's locked up.
- 7:50Speaker 1: That's so good at artistry. It's catch in that tattoo
- 7:54Speaker 1: and everybody, man, get out do it the right way.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Quit selling drugs, man, You ain't going no where's selling
- 8:00Speaker 1: no drugs. You're going to jail. And if that don't
- 8:03Speaker 1: do it, somebody gonna get tired of you're selling drugs
- 8:05Speaker 1: because they're gonna want to sell them over and they're
- 8:06Speaker 1: gonna kill you. Let's just keep this thing real for
- 8:09Speaker 1: just a second here. Come on, man, get up off
- 8:12Speaker 1: your butt because you're sitting on the gold mine, and
- 8:14Speaker 1: you're sitting up here, somebody always looking for a shortcut
- 8:16Speaker 1: to the top. Ain't no shortcut. Somebody told me this
- 8:19Speaker 1: the other day. Man, the road to success is always
- 8:23Speaker 1: under construction. It ain't paved, it's got detour signs on it.
- 8:29Speaker 1: It's got slow men working. Sometime they flip the stop sign.
- 8:34Speaker 1: You gotta sit there and wait. Sometime they got slow.
- 8:37Speaker 1: That's traffic. That's accidents. Somebody on the road holding up
- 8:42Speaker 1: things with a flat tie, its nails, its gravels, This
- 8:45Speaker 1: spike's everything. The road to success is always under construction.
- 8:51Speaker 1: It ain't getting ready to be easy just because you
- 8:53Speaker 1: didn't decided to do it. But don't sit around on
- 8:56Speaker 1: your behind and complain all the time about what you
- 8:59Speaker 1: don't have. My daddy said it, Man, get up off
- 9:02Speaker 1: your butt, because you're sitting on a gold mine. You
- 9:05Speaker 1: got a gift, you got a talent, you got something
- 9:08Speaker 1: that you can do that could make a way for you,
- 9:11Speaker 1: but you won't do it. It is within you. Stop
- 9:14Speaker 1: looking around. Here's where people waste the most time on
- 9:17Speaker 1: the road to success, looking around at somebody else trying
- 9:21Speaker 1: to figure out. Man, how can I do what they did?
- 9:25Speaker 1: Do what you do? You ain't jay Z, You ain't. Sorry.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I got a couple of your homies told you you
- 9:32Speaker 1: rap better than him. But you're not jay Z. Really
- 9:35Speaker 1: you're not. You know, all of us then shot at him,
- 9:38Speaker 1: but we ain't Richard Pryor a nice shot Steve, Bernie Dierre,
- 9:43Speaker 1: all of we took some great shots at it. We're
- 9:46Speaker 1: not him. Do what you can do? Do you do
- 9:50Speaker 1: your gift quick complaining about what you don't have. Get
- 9:54Speaker 1: up off your butt because you're sitting on a gold mine.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You're listening ste ladies and gentlemen and boys and girls.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Here we are again, And I'm just must say, I
- 10:07Speaker 1: know it's you know, there's got to be a time
- 10:09Speaker 1: limit to when you stop saying Happy New Year. You
- 10:12Speaker 1: know how many days in is it supposed to be?
- 10:14Speaker 1: I think we passed that time. But we are still
- 10:16Speaker 1: celebrating life. And twenty twenty two can be one of
- 10:21Speaker 1: the greatest years of your life if you lay claim
- 10:24Speaker 1: to it. But you have to claim it. You have
- 10:28Speaker 1: to live a life of expectation that great things are
- 10:31Speaker 1: coming your way, because that's the law of attraction. It
- 10:34Speaker 1: works whether you believe in it, honor it, or adhere
- 10:37Speaker 1: to it. It is a known fact that you attract
- 10:41Speaker 1: the things you think. If you think poor, you'll be poor.
- 10:47Speaker 1: If you think rich thoughts, riches will come your way.
- 10:51Speaker 1: If you don't believe it, try it. Thank you, Shirley
- 10:57Speaker 1: Strawberry Carlin for real, the girl from mississipp Be Monica
- 11:01Speaker 1: or Junior and the legend the King of Pranks, Nephew Tommy.
- 11:05Speaker 1: They just here. It has begun, Junior Horse, on your mind.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you exactly what's on my mind. Let
- 11:12Speaker 1: me ask you something. Um, do you know in your
- 11:17Speaker 1: life how much has been in love cost you? Why? Why?
- 11:23Speaker 1: I noticed in love has it cost you a lot? Well,
- 11:31Speaker 1: let me say, listen to you. Uh, it's really, Junior Horse,
- 11:37Speaker 1: it's all about you know. Forget these songs that talking
- 11:41Speaker 1: about I don't need nobody all this blah blah blah.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Everybody want to be somebody somebody. Everybody wants to feel
- 11:50Speaker 1: special to somebody. Everybody needs to experience love. So stop
- 12:00Speaker 1: talking about it in terms of cost as in dollars.
- 12:05Speaker 1: It is going to cost you your time. It will
- 12:09Speaker 1: cost you at times your freedom. It will cost you
- 12:13Speaker 1: at times your will of choice. It will cost you
- 12:18Speaker 1: at time moments of peace where you want to be alone,
- 12:22Speaker 1: but because you're in love, you got to be with somebody.
- 12:26Speaker 1: So it's going to cost you in every aspect of
- 12:30Speaker 1: your life. All you want to do is be in
- 12:32Speaker 1: love with somebody where there's a benefit to being in
- 12:36Speaker 1: love and there is a return on your investment of love.
- 12:41Speaker 1: So my question is to you, don't you think as
- 12:47Speaker 1: a young man that you would be more of You
- 12:50Speaker 1: are in a fortunate position if someone were to love you,
- 12:56Speaker 1: being as how knowing how you are. Yes, it was, yes,
- 13:02Speaker 1: it was okay. Then get on with the whatever it
- 13:05Speaker 1: costs factor. Get that out your minds in love with
- 13:09Speaker 1: you too, get all this out your mind about what's coming.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I'm saying that's a rich man. That's what I like
- 13:15Speaker 1: to see that you know a different positions. Let me
- 13:19Speaker 1: tell you something in love ain't gotten to do it
- 13:21Speaker 1: rich right, all right, all right, thank you for that.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty two minutes after the hour, we're
- 13:29Speaker 1: gonna start the show off with the nephew and run
- 13:31Speaker 1: that prank back right after this. You're listening Dave Harvey
- 13:35Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, let's go it's time for the
- 13:38Speaker 1: nephew to kick things off with run that prank back?
- 13:42Speaker 1: What you got enough? Church fees? Church fee, let's go,
- 13:49Speaker 1: can't don't hello Hello, I'm trying to reach us. Hey,
- 13:54Speaker 1: how you doing? This is this is brother Glenn from
- 13:56Speaker 1: the church. Hey, brother Glenn, how you doing. I'm good,
- 13:59Speaker 1: I'm good, I'm real good. Did you enjoy service morning? Oh?
- 14:03Speaker 1: I enjoyed it? Pastor who pastor brought it down? Oh
- 14:10Speaker 1: my god? That was a word for me, right right,
- 14:13Speaker 1: right right? So what do our old? The pleasure of
- 14:15Speaker 1: this call? I wanted to give you some information that
- 14:18Speaker 1: the that the church has come up with, and we
- 14:21Speaker 1: wanted to let you know what was going on before
- 14:24Speaker 1: the next Sunday. I didn't interrupt you that. Oh no, no,
- 14:27Speaker 1: I actually I may found a little a little off
- 14:30Speaker 1: a little bit. I'm trying to get getting ready for
- 14:32Speaker 1: my little babies, my little darlins, and I'm trying to
- 14:34Speaker 1: Your voice sounds so familiar to me. It just sounds
- 14:37Speaker 1: so familiar. Trying to play place that voice. Okay, well,
- 14:40Speaker 1: you've seen me at the church quite a few times.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I think I have. I'm just trying to place it.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I can't place it right now, but we can look
- 14:45Speaker 1: at it. What Nevertheless, I just wanted here's here's what's
- 14:48Speaker 1: going on. Uh now you aware of that for the
- 14:50Speaker 1: last the last six Sundays, you've been actually coming in
- 14:54Speaker 1: the service late. Have you realized that? Yes, I know,
- 14:58Speaker 1: I'm sorry about that, but uh you know, yes, I
- 15:01Speaker 1: have I have my reasons. So okay, okay, Well here's
- 15:04Speaker 1: what's going on. The officials at the church I've gotten
- 15:08Speaker 1: together and this is what they've decided on, is that
- 15:10Speaker 1: anybody who is late starting next Sunday, there would be
- 15:14Speaker 1: a fifteen dollar charge for that for coming in and
- 15:17Speaker 1: disrupting services. Fastest tide of service being disrupted by people
- 15:22Speaker 1: walking in late. That that could not come at a
- 15:25Speaker 1: worst time. I don't have fifteen dollars to give. I don't.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I don't have it. Oh um, look, I'm sorry. I'm
- 15:35Speaker 1: sorry that we late. I am we are doing our best.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I have three kids. I have three young kids, two
- 15:43Speaker 1: seven and nine, and they are a handful and and
- 15:47Speaker 1: and we do the best that we can to get
- 15:49Speaker 1: the church on time and and to tell your truth.
- 15:52Speaker 1: When we get there, it's doing praise and worship, I
- 15:55Speaker 1: mean pass They ain't even preaching yet, So I know
- 15:58Speaker 1: it's not fast, it's not up yet, but he's he's
- 16:00Speaker 1: stating that people coming in. It just seems very disrupted
- 16:04Speaker 1: to the service that's going on. That's so Nevertheless, like
- 16:06Speaker 1: I said, this is a warning call, you know, to
- 16:08Speaker 1: let you know that if you are late on next Sunday,
- 16:11Speaker 1: then they will be charging you fifteen dollars a late charge,
- 16:16Speaker 1: and actually you won't be able to even come in.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I kill you until your paper dollars. I can't even
- 16:22Speaker 1: get in church with we Look, okay, look, I don't
- 16:26Speaker 1: I don't owe nothing. I don't owe you no explanation.
- 16:29Speaker 1: But I need to tell you something. We are me
- 16:32Speaker 1: and my kids for the last few Sundays that we've
- 16:35Speaker 1: been late. It's because my car broke down. We are
- 16:38Speaker 1: owned the bus man public transportation. Okay, I mean, and
- 16:41Speaker 1: I understand, I understand. I siviltize with everything that you're
- 16:45Speaker 1: going through. But why are you calling if you understand?
- 16:47Speaker 1: How are you calling me about fifteen dollars? If you
- 16:48Speaker 1: understand what I'm going through? Well I didn't. I first
- 16:50Speaker 1: of all, I didn't know what you were going Why
- 16:52Speaker 1: are you raising your voice at me? Why are you
- 16:55Speaker 1: raising Did you just raise your voice at me? You
- 16:57Speaker 1: know what? You know what I think? You're raising your
- 16:59Speaker 1: voice at me? How dare you call me about this?
- 17:03Speaker 1: About a feet and I'm there at church. I got
- 17:06Speaker 1: my key in desks trying to raise them up is
- 17:08Speaker 1: where they should go, just like the Bible say. And
- 17:11Speaker 1: you know why I gotta do this and why I'm late?
- 17:14Speaker 1: Why why we got to catch the bus? Do you
- 17:15Speaker 1: understand why that is? Brother Glenn, No, I do not.
- 17:19Speaker 1: That is because they to their daddy is ain't and
- 17:22Speaker 1: they yes, Tracy, you got to calm down a little
- 17:25Speaker 1: bit now. Oh Jesus help me. Jesus help me, Jesus. Okay, listen,
- 17:30Speaker 1: all I can do is tell you this. I hope
- 17:31Speaker 1: you can make it. Maybe you can catch an earlier bus,
- 17:34Speaker 1: you know what I mean, and get there a little earlier.
- 17:37Speaker 1: But but if I'm just stating the fact that as
- 17:39Speaker 1: of next Sunday, if you come in late, it's fifteen
- 17:42Speaker 1: dollars late fee, and that's what you'll pay in order
- 17:44Speaker 1: to get in the service. You know what, Well, maybe
- 17:47Speaker 1: next Sunday I just won't be there. How about that?
- 17:50Speaker 1: You know I'm already working six days a week. The
- 17:54Speaker 1: only day I have off is Sunday. I've been baking,
- 17:56Speaker 1: breaking my back. Do you know I worked two jobs
- 17:59Speaker 1: or two jobs, and they always trying to take money
- 18:01Speaker 1: out of my check, always trying to pull me here
- 18:03Speaker 1: and there, and I'm always tired. I get two hours asleep,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and then now the church wants to dump another fifteen
- 18:08Speaker 1: dollars charging me for being at church when that's what
- 18:11Speaker 1: I'm supposed to do. But you're coming in late though,
- 18:16Speaker 1: you know what? You know what late ain't bad? Okay,
- 18:20Speaker 1: I might be delayed, but I ain't denied, and I'm
- 18:22Speaker 1: getting there the best way that I know how. We're
- 18:24Speaker 1: on the bus. I have to put my kids on
- 18:26Speaker 1: the school bus, and don't you have to put them
- 18:28Speaker 1: on the school bus. And I have to get on
- 18:29Speaker 1: the bus to myself to work because I don't have
- 18:32Speaker 1: a car. Because they daddy's ain't doing nothing nothing for them.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Do you understand what I'm saying to you? I need
- 18:38Speaker 1: to understand. Daddy number one, guess what he daddy for two?
- 18:43Speaker 1: He in jail, been there by five years, he ain't
- 18:47Speaker 1: And Daddy number three he decided to go ahead and
- 18:50Speaker 1: walk out, ain't I ain't heard from that that tent
- 18:54Speaker 1: in about seven months. Now. He know we're struggling. He
- 18:57Speaker 1: had the nerd to take my wallet too. You don't
- 18:59Speaker 1: You don't even unders but I'm going through. You don't
- 19:01Speaker 1: even understand that I'm trying to make a better life
- 19:03Speaker 1: for me and my children. There is one more thing,
- 19:05Speaker 1: sis to Tracy, that the Church wants you to know
- 19:07Speaker 1: before next Sunday that you definitely need to know. What
- 19:10Speaker 1: one more thing does the church want me to know?
- 19:12Speaker 1: Beside sixteen dollars? The Church just wants you to know that.
- 19:15Speaker 1: This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Joe.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Your sister Patrese got me to prank phone call you.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I am going her. What are you? No, I ain't
- 19:30Speaker 1: got time for that. No, I ain't got time for that.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Oh girl, your sister all right, Oh I got something
- 19:40Speaker 1: for her. How about that? You tell me? She said,
- 19:44Speaker 1: she said, my sister carbro down. She says she got
- 19:47Speaker 1: these kids she over are struggling and struggling and she's
- 19:50Speaker 1: trying to make it. But you gotta give a hard time.
- 19:53Speaker 1: She just wanted she wanted, she wanted you to put us.
- 19:55Speaker 1: She wanted to put a smile on your face. Where
- 19:59Speaker 1: where are you going being settled out? I'm gonna have
- 20:01Speaker 1: to say she d r Wow. Now that I know
- 20:06Speaker 1: you y'all were joking and now I know this is
- 20:08Speaker 1: nephew Tommy. Hey, I gotta ask yourself, baby, what's the
- 20:14Speaker 1: bad ist and I mean the badest radio show in
- 20:17Speaker 1: the land. That's Steve Harvey Morning Show, Baby Church. No, No,
- 20:26Speaker 1: not in quite some time. Yeah, covid no, no, I've
- 20:30Speaker 1: been a line you know, virtually. All right, thank you, nephew.
- 20:33Speaker 1: And coming up it is Asked the CLO Chief Love
- 20:37Speaker 1: Officer Steve Harvey. Coming up right after this, You're listening
- 20:42Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. Coming up at the top of
- 20:45Speaker 1: the hour, We're going to check in with Steve's voicemail
- 20:48Speaker 1: eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve also a programmer. A
- 20:51Speaker 1: reminder another hilarious and I do mean hilarious with a
- 20:55Speaker 1: capital H episode of Judge Steve that happens tonight at
- 20:59Speaker 1: eight seventh Central on ABC and Hulu. Now it is
- 21:04Speaker 1: time for Steve's favorite segment. It's called Asked the CLO
- 21:08Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey in the building for your
- 21:11Speaker 1: love questions. This one's from Anika and Rochester. Anika writes,
- 21:15Speaker 1: this year marks the fifth year of my celibacy, and
- 21:19Speaker 1: I need to know if I'm doing the right thing
- 21:22Speaker 1: or if I should enjoy life and take the good
- 21:25Speaker 1: with the bad. I'm fifty four years old and I
- 21:28Speaker 1: hope to be married. The next time I had sex.
- 21:31Speaker 1: I just got tired of giving in to men and
- 21:33Speaker 1: then they disappear on me. Life is short, so should
- 21:36Speaker 1: I live it to the fullest or stick to my
- 21:38Speaker 1: principles and keep holding out. Well, I think it seems
- 21:46Speaker 1: to me like the holding out part is a little
- 21:52Speaker 1: bit more self controlling for you. You're not being used,
- 21:59Speaker 1: you're not being scarreded. You don't have to feel like,
- 22:02Speaker 1: you know, men just coming in out of your life
- 22:05Speaker 1: and going out. You know, of course, we all human being.
- 22:07Speaker 1: We have flesh, so we got desires. But I mean,
- 22:12Speaker 1: it's been five years. You spared yourself a lot of
- 22:15Speaker 1: pain like that. Now, if you think going on living
- 22:19Speaker 1: your life to the fullest means going back to the
- 22:21Speaker 1: way you had it, then what was you celibate for
- 22:23Speaker 1: in the first place. You have to when you think
- 22:26Speaker 1: about stop doing something, think about what made you start
- 22:29Speaker 1: doing it in the first place, and it may be
- 22:31Speaker 1: the best thing for you, and you never know when,
- 22:35Speaker 1: Like often say, God, it's gonna flip the switch, So
- 22:37Speaker 1: it could be any day now. But if you turn
- 22:39Speaker 1: around and give up, you might lose. I'd hang in
- 22:43Speaker 1: that with it if I was here, you're done five years?
- 22:45Speaker 1: Here you fifty four? Yeah, all right, all right, Kelly
- 22:51Speaker 1: and Duncanville says, I'm married to doctor Jekyll and mister Hyde.
- 22:55Speaker 1: My husband is the sweetest man in the world when
- 22:57Speaker 1: it's the two of us at home. But the minute
- 23:00Speaker 1: he gets in public, he's super irritated with everything and everyone.
- 23:06Speaker 1: His road rage is scary, and he's so rude to
- 23:09Speaker 1: waiters and waitresses it's embarrassing. What should I do? Quit
- 23:14Speaker 1: taking his ass out of the house. He don't get
- 23:20Speaker 1: to go all right, he can't go to dinner no more,
- 23:25Speaker 1: and he damn show can't dry. Yeah, what's wrong with
- 23:30Speaker 1: him though? That? But how are you? No? No, it's
- 23:36Speaker 1: hard to be rude to the people that's going in
- 23:37Speaker 1: the back to get your food to bring it back
- 23:39Speaker 1: out in the front. What's happening in the back is
- 23:43Speaker 1: really really bothered me. Yeah, you gotta be nice to them.
- 23:51Speaker 1: You need to sit out and talk to him about
- 23:52Speaker 1: what the issue is for starters. You need to fix
- 23:57Speaker 1: that road rage too. That's a that's a problem that Yeah,
- 24:01Speaker 1: that's dangerous. Yeah, that's a lot of mad ass people driving,
- 24:06Speaker 1: So blow the horn at the wrong one. Okay, what
- 24:10Speaker 1: his daylight, all right? Is that he could have just
- 24:14Speaker 1: found out? He owed Stanley, we are moving on Stanley
- 24:22Speaker 1: and Birmingham says. My wife got a new job, new lashes,
- 24:26Speaker 1: new clothes, and she's been wearing wigs for the first
- 24:30Speaker 1: time ever. She's not doing this to impress me. It's
- 24:34Speaker 1: for the women at work, she said. The competition is fierce,
- 24:37Speaker 1: so she had to step her game up. I don't
- 24:40Speaker 1: like clown makeup and wigs. How do I get my
- 24:43Speaker 1: old wife back? WHOA? Well, the competition at work has
- 24:48Speaker 1: come from the internet. If you look at it, it's
- 24:51Speaker 1: a look now, it's that Nicki minaje, Kim Kardashian looked
- 24:56Speaker 1: that all these young people want. I mean, if you
- 25:00Speaker 1: look at it, that long hair all the way down
- 25:02Speaker 1: to you, but straight, the lip line of the contour nose,
- 25:07Speaker 1: the long eyelashes all is this the Kim kardash and
- 25:12Speaker 1: Nicki minaj look and she then fell into it. And
- 25:18Speaker 1: that's it. Like you said, itda ain't for you. She
- 25:20Speaker 1: had competition down at the job step her game up
- 25:24Speaker 1: clown makeup. Yeah, you know, might be bad. He about
- 25:32Speaker 1: too though about though, because he'd rode in. He's stupid.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Feel you saying something earlier about the eyebrow to forehead ratio.
- 25:42Speaker 1: That's space. Well I've noticed now you know, everybody want
- 25:47Speaker 1: to have baby hell, And I've learned understand filters better
- 25:52Speaker 1: because if you look at a woman on her page,
- 25:55Speaker 1: if you look at these pages, the color of the
- 25:58Speaker 1: skin that's closest to the hairline, it's different than the
- 26:02Speaker 1: skin just below it. That means you need to look
- 26:10Speaker 1: at that real clothes. Let's with the baby hair, y'all,
- 26:17Speaker 1: what is that? What is that? That's just style? You know,
- 26:21Speaker 1: But you can't have a whole head a baby hattle.
- 26:24Speaker 1: You can't have a baby hair look like you don't
- 26:29Speaker 1: have on a wig or have piece? Right, you got
- 26:33Speaker 1: extra hair you can pull down in the front. That
- 26:35Speaker 1: much mean, well, you just put the hair on the wig.
- 26:39Speaker 1: That's what you're doing. Smooth that down. I don't know
- 26:42Speaker 1: how that. I don't know that. You don't need to
- 26:47Speaker 1: know everything, all our secrets. All right, here we go.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Bam in Indianapolis says I recently flew to Ohio to
- 26:55Speaker 1: visit a man that I met online. I found out
- 26:58Speaker 1: he's married, and then he went ghost on me. I
- 27:02Speaker 1: fell for the lies when he asked me to get
- 27:04Speaker 1: a hotel room and pay for my own flight. I
- 27:07Speaker 1: should have known something was up. So am I wrong
- 27:10Speaker 1: to expect him to reimburse me for the money I spent? What? What? Well?
- 27:15Speaker 1: I mean? You just said he ghost at you. If
- 27:19Speaker 1: a man then't ghosted you? Yeah, how are you gonna get?
- 27:25Speaker 1: All you gotta do is change his number and you out.
- 27:28Speaker 1: You don't know where he lived because you got the hotel.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Why would you fly to somebody for the first time
- 27:34Speaker 1: and get your own hotel in your own ticket? How'd
- 27:38Speaker 1: you sell yourself that cheap? Yeah? Just make some desperation?
- 27:42Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, lady, Come on now you want you fail
- 27:46Speaker 1: for that? Come on, now you want some money? You
- 27:48Speaker 1: ain't fitting getting no money back? This? This you bought
- 27:51Speaker 1: this lessons? Yes, well that's the Louis of a time
- 27:58Speaker 1: bag out the window. Care don't play yourself? Yes, man,
- 28:06Speaker 1: come on, now, you could have had a Louis. Yeah, bag,
- 28:11Speaker 1: I'm married. Let that man go. You're right, Clo. She
- 28:14Speaker 1: should have known something was up. That that's your instinct.
- 28:16Speaker 1: She should have listened your intuition. She knew something was
- 28:20Speaker 1: up in the beginning. All women know something's up if
- 28:23Speaker 1: it seems funny or strange, that show intuition telling you
- 28:27Speaker 1: that it is. Don't ignore it period. You listen to intuition.
- 28:33Speaker 1: That's right, I mean seriously, all right, running and end
- 28:38Speaker 1: up costing you. Yeah, all right, thank you, cello, great advice.
- 28:42Speaker 1: As usual, coming up at the top of the hour,
- 28:44Speaker 1: we'll check out Steve's voicemail eight seven seven twenty nine Steve.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 28:54Speaker 1: here we go Steve to voicemails. We go eight seven
- 28:58Speaker 1: seven twenty nine. Steve. This one's from an inspirational caller.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Let's just say, hey, mister Steve Harvey, you have been
- 29:06Speaker 1: an inspiration and I want to say thank you. I've
- 29:09Speaker 1: leaped off that cliff. I put the lead of faith.
- 29:13Speaker 1: I went out there. I had a job that I
- 29:15Speaker 1: was going to be making one hundred and fifty thousand
- 29:17Speaker 1: a year. I quit that job to go out there
- 29:21Speaker 1: to be an entrepreneur. In two thousand and nine, my
- 29:24Speaker 1: dad passed away on January thirty first, two weeks later.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I heard your voice for the first time on a
- 29:30Speaker 1: morning inspiration and you have inspired me since then. And
- 29:34Speaker 1: I just want to say thank you. I heard you,
- 29:36Speaker 1: big bro. I heard you a million times a million.
- 29:41Speaker 1: You said, think bigger than what anything that only God
- 29:44Speaker 1: can't be able to give you the answer to it
- 29:47Speaker 1: a million times a million. I would love to share
- 29:51Speaker 1: that with you one day. And it's all in the houses.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Thank you man, Thank you. People hear you, they love you.
- 29:59Speaker 1: They'll here, they're listening. It's a lot of us who's
- 30:02Speaker 1: taking that leap of faith. And we are on that
- 30:05Speaker 1: path because once you got a million upreneurs, we're a
- 30:08Speaker 1: million dollars. That's the trillion dollars and we can do.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Love you, big bro. Thank you again, mister Steve Harvey.
- 30:17Speaker 1: You are the man. You don't know if you reach people. Yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 1: that was that was that was powerful. I appreciate that
- 30:31Speaker 1: man from the bottom of my heart. That's that. But
- 30:34Speaker 1: you know what that's that. That's God's grace. Man. I
- 30:38Speaker 1: mean you, you can't cut a deal for it. God
- 30:41Speaker 1: just gives it to you. And something he didn't gave
- 30:43Speaker 1: me the desires of my heart so many times, and
- 30:46Speaker 1: and and upped it. Heiter took the desires of my
- 30:49Speaker 1: heart and put some grace on it to got me
- 30:52Speaker 1: where I ain't. I ain't even asked for that. And
- 30:54Speaker 1: look up, got that too. Ye got another one, Shirley,
- 30:58Speaker 1: All right, more boy smell Steve, this is um. Remember
- 31:01Speaker 1: you do the closing remarks about haters. Drop the mic.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Let's go see. I I listened to you this Saturday.
- 31:08Speaker 1: You're closing remarks the most beautiful words I have heard
- 31:12Speaker 1: in a long time. You may say dropped the mic.
- 31:15Speaker 1: You should have dropped the mic that time. The coach,
- 31:19Speaker 1: you really let your haters know that it's all about them,
- 31:23Speaker 1: because God used them to put you where you are,
- 31:27Speaker 1: to show you where you had to go. Because I
- 31:30Speaker 1: believe that it had not been for them hating on you.
- 31:33Speaker 1: You might not applied to tart, but you then you
- 31:36Speaker 1: got it and you're moving on and you got gre awesome.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I love you mine, And you know what, man, I
- 31:48Speaker 1: was just about to say, I want to change the
- 31:51Speaker 1: hater closing remarks. I want I want to redo it.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Because I wanted to add some more to it, because
- 31:56Speaker 1: I've been thinking about it, because it's really one of
- 31:59Speaker 1: my favorite closing remarks, because I just because it really
- 32:05Speaker 1: opened up my heart man, because I was I was
- 32:07Speaker 1: handling these haters wrong. And then God just started exposing
- 32:13Speaker 1: to me. Don't listen to me, man, you need them.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Let me show you what I did. And he just
- 32:21Speaker 1: revealed it to me one morning I was meditating. He said,
- 32:24Speaker 1: every time they did this to you, it caused this.
- 32:28Speaker 1: I want to just show you something. And I really
- 32:31Speaker 1: started looking at it, man, and like the lady said,
- 32:35Speaker 1: they didn't know, man, but they made me work harder,
- 32:38Speaker 1: they made me focus, they made me dry. But the
- 32:41Speaker 1: biggest gift haters gave me they pushed me up under
- 32:47Speaker 1: the wings of my heavenly fathers and tucked me under
- 32:51Speaker 1: that hey man, like I was thinking, Man, you know
- 32:54Speaker 1: what I actually thought. For the people who actually kicked
- 32:57Speaker 1: me and thought they was kicking me off to the
- 32:59Speaker 1: clifford kicking me off the cliff, They actually just kicking
- 33:02Speaker 1: me into the and into my Lord and save his arms.
- 33:06Speaker 1: That's all they did. Man. When they laughed about me
- 33:08Speaker 1: behind my back, they just made me strong. You know
- 33:11Speaker 1: the one thing, man, the count of the only thing
- 33:14Speaker 1: that really bothered me about the haters was dudes in
- 33:17Speaker 1: the barbershop. That that's the one that bothers me the
- 33:21Speaker 1: most because I've always prided myself on being a man's man,
- 33:25Speaker 1: and I know I am because there's not a man
- 33:28Speaker 1: living who knows me who don't know that about me.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I mean, if you know me, you know that about me,
- 33:33Speaker 1: then I'm a man's man. I made a lie of
- 33:35Speaker 1: mistakes with females or who ain't, but when it comes
- 33:38Speaker 1: to brotherhood, manhood or locked in on that thing right there,
- 33:42Speaker 1: and I'm really really good at that. I'm an expert
- 33:45Speaker 1: at it. So when brothers in the barbershop be talking
- 33:48Speaker 1: about me because they ain't got all the facts or
- 33:50Speaker 1: they'd have jumped off the bandwagon, you know, man, that
- 33:52Speaker 1: really kind of bothered me because I go, damned dog,
- 33:55Speaker 1: y'all too, because I'm a man's man. If you meet
- 33:58Speaker 1: me as a man and you don't like me, I'm
- 34:01Speaker 1: telling you, man, really, it's because it's something wrong with you, dog,
- 34:04Speaker 1: because really, as a man, I really bro you really,
- 34:08Speaker 1: you come home, man. You can't meet me and not
- 34:12Speaker 1: know that I'm that dude right there. But now, even
- 34:16Speaker 1: though the brothers in the barbershop bothered me, the brothers
- 34:21Speaker 1: in the barbershop helped me out too, because a lot
- 34:26Speaker 1: of them cats in the barbershop was really cats that
- 34:30Speaker 1: I thought I was cool with. And that was the
- 34:32Speaker 1: other purpose of the haters too, so I could stop
- 34:36Speaker 1: thinking somebody was really all right with me and they
- 34:40Speaker 1: really wasn't. Because you know, sometimes man, it's just important
- 34:43Speaker 1: to know who they are. It's important to know who
- 34:46Speaker 1: people really are in your life, and you got to
- 34:50Speaker 1: have certain circumstances to bring that about so you can
- 34:52Speaker 1: now know the truth about them. But it ain't everybody right, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 34:59Speaker 1: Oh man, I got some great dudes in the barbershop. Yeah,
- 35:02Speaker 1: there's some great dudes in the barbershop that love me.
- 35:05Speaker 1: That to defend me. That a stand up from me,
- 35:08Speaker 1: But he comes to them cancing that it just, you know,
- 35:10Speaker 1: want to jump on the bandwagon. You know, trolls is everywhere.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I appreciate the brothers that defend me, that say, hey, man,
- 35:17Speaker 1: that ain't how that dude is. Y'all don't know how
- 35:19Speaker 1: he is, So I appreciate it. Go both ways. But
- 35:21Speaker 1: thank y'all man from bottom of my heart, thank y'all.
- 35:24Speaker 1: All right, coming up in twenty minutes after the hour,
- 35:26Speaker 1: we'll talk to our good friends from but Up Melanin
- 35:29Speaker 1: skincare products. Plus we'll have details and how you can
- 35:33Speaker 1: qualify for twenty five hundred dollars right after this. You're
- 35:37Speaker 1: listening show, all right, everybody, Hey, listen, we got a
- 35:41Speaker 1: special guest this morning. Kind of feel like family because
- 35:45Speaker 1: everybody from down that way. He's a native of Beaumont, Texas,
- 35:50Speaker 1: but he now lives in LA and he's got a
- 35:52Speaker 1: flourishing career as a model, actor, recording artist. Now, when
- 35:56Speaker 1: when he found out that he was spending most of
- 35:58Speaker 1: his time in front of a ameral, he wanted to
- 36:01Speaker 1: take better care of his specific skincare needs, which that
- 36:06Speaker 1: led him to formulate his own product line called Butter
- 36:11Speaker 1: b U T T A H. And that's the CEO Butter.
- 36:14Speaker 1: His mission is to give melanie and rich skin the
- 36:19Speaker 1: attention it deserves. That's cold word for black and let's
- 36:25Speaker 1: find out more. Let's find out more about Butter. Please
- 36:29Speaker 1: welcome to the show, the fabulous Dorian Renaud. Good morning, Welcome,
- 36:36Speaker 1: good big honor to be here this morning. Well, thank you, Dorian,
- 36:40Speaker 1: thank you so much, Um and congratulations. This is phenomenal
- 36:44Speaker 1: what you've done. We love the products, We definitely love
- 36:47Speaker 1: the I'm using it. Thank you. Yeah, this whipped butter,
- 36:52Speaker 1: this whipped body butter. Yeah, you got my bone head,
- 36:58Speaker 1: your sun. I'm thirty three and I got a ball
- 37:03Speaker 1: here too, so I needed it as well. Man. So
- 37:07Speaker 1: so let's talk about the butter products story. And they
- 37:10Speaker 1: are based around raw, natural and organic shay and specifically
- 37:14Speaker 1: formulated for melan and rich skin. What inspired you to
- 37:18Speaker 1: do the butter line specifically for our skin? Well, I mean,
- 37:23Speaker 1: you know, I'm from both my Texas small town and
- 37:26Speaker 1: I grew up in Louisiana, grew up in Houston, And
- 37:29Speaker 1: I mean, I would say the inspiration came from seeing
- 37:32Speaker 1: the beautiful black and brown faces around me. My dad
- 37:35Speaker 1: had a barbershop, shoe shop. He was an entrepreneur, still live,
- 37:39Speaker 1: and I saw him making people feel good, you know,
- 37:42Speaker 1: whether they were going to a funeral, whether they were
- 37:44Speaker 1: going to a wedding. You know, you had to come
- 37:46Speaker 1: in and get that self care at a young age.
- 37:49Speaker 1: And I realized that and I had problematic skin growing up.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I mean, I'm talking about dark sparks, type of pigmentation, acting,
- 37:56Speaker 1: anything you could think of. And as I entered into
- 37:59Speaker 1: the entertainment industry, you know, in front of the camera,
- 38:02Speaker 1: I realized, you know, I didn't quite look like myself
- 38:05Speaker 1: like I did on television. I was saying, So, you know,
- 38:08Speaker 1: it started from a little bit of famous, but then
- 38:11Speaker 1: you know a lot of people started reaching out to
- 38:13Speaker 1: me after I really found some shape butter on the
- 38:16Speaker 1: streets of New York modeling, and I mixed that with
- 38:18Speaker 1: a gentle cleanser and about him a C serum and
- 38:20Speaker 1: start working for me. And so you know, I found
- 38:22Speaker 1: that people, especially black men, black women, were embarrassed and
- 38:26Speaker 1: they were asking me and my DMS or in person, hey,
- 38:28Speaker 1: what do you used to be a skin? I'm really
- 38:30Speaker 1: struggling with it. And so you know, I brought my
- 38:32Speaker 1: formula and my routine to the streets about three years ago,
- 38:36Speaker 1: and now we've grown into over twenty five products over
- 38:39Speaker 1: just a short amount of time because of the supporting,
- 38:42Speaker 1: really the education that we provide. Well, you didn't help
- 38:46Speaker 1: a lot of assh your people, because this isn't I
- 38:48Speaker 1: have hang on, hang on all right, Joran, hang on,
- 38:54Speaker 1: We'll be right back. Okay, okay, right after this, you're
- 38:58Speaker 1: listening Morning show. We are back with our very special guest,
- 39:04Speaker 1: Story and Renaud, owner and CEO of Butter. That's b
- 39:09Speaker 1: ut T a h. It is a skin line for
- 39:12Speaker 1: melanin and rich skin that's for black and brown people.
- 39:16Speaker 1: He's our special guests this morning, and we just love
- 39:20Speaker 1: your products. We want to say that my favorite is
- 39:23Speaker 1: the whipped butter. That's my personal favorite. Oh yeah, you
- 39:26Speaker 1: go into these stores a lot of times, you send
- 39:28Speaker 1: a lot of money on these products, and you look
- 39:31Speaker 1: at commercials and you know, up until now, you don't
- 39:34Speaker 1: really see much representation of us. And you know, I
- 39:36Speaker 1: try to provide education so that people were melanan and
- 39:40Speaker 1: rich skin know how to take care of their skin
- 39:43Speaker 1: and that it's the ingredients in the products that really
- 39:45Speaker 1: like work for us. And so you know, the community
- 39:48Speaker 1: and everybody that really has supportive Butter and such a
- 39:51Speaker 1: short amount of time, so it's really made it successful.
- 39:54Speaker 1: But the inspiration always comes from home in the heart
- 39:57Speaker 1: of being a black man and seeing our beautiful black
- 39:59Speaker 1: mother and and you know, all the different shades of
- 40:02Speaker 1: black grown up in the South, Okay, well, I love
- 40:05Speaker 1: seeing men with beautiful skin as well. And we've got
- 40:08Speaker 1: to commend you jury and on the success of your line.
- 40:11Speaker 1: You own it, you operated at the black owned business.
- 40:14Speaker 1: It employs black women. I would position absolutely absolutely it's important.
- 40:22Speaker 1: I mean, I see beauty through my eyes, but it's
- 40:26Speaker 1: important to have black women around me to understand beauties
- 40:30Speaker 1: through their lands. And so I have an all black
- 40:33Speaker 1: female executive team who's around me and everybody out and
- 40:39Speaker 1: my factory in Florida, you know, is multicultural, and so
- 40:43Speaker 1: it's important to have women involved because you know, as
- 40:46Speaker 1: a man, you know, you look at the woman's skin
- 40:48Speaker 1: and I don't know the circles you go through. I
- 40:50Speaker 1: don't know what you know what what makeup does to
- 40:54Speaker 1: your skin. So I had to do my research, I
- 40:56Speaker 1: had to get in the lab. I had to listen
- 40:58Speaker 1: to my sisters, my brothers. He was they needed. And
- 41:01Speaker 1: that's why I did Butter, and that's why we continue
- 41:04Speaker 1: creating products. You know that pretty much the audience asked
- 41:07Speaker 1: for and to the Steve Harvey Nation, We're doing a
- 41:11Speaker 1: Butter sweep steak. Yeah, you can enter for a chance
- 41:14Speaker 1: to win a grand prize. Shopping spree with the twenty
- 41:17Speaker 1: five hundred dollars Macy's gift card or one of ten

- 41:36Speaker 1: FM dot com. Everyone needs a little butter baby, right, Dorian,
- 41:40Speaker 1: that's right man. You know you like to be said.
- 41:43Speaker 1: You cannot be askey and I know a lot of
- 41:46Speaker 1: us Black people associate drift again with the world ask
- 41:49Speaker 1: you sorry, sorry, it's a lot, but you know we
- 41:58Speaker 1: want to we want to do that's word that uh
- 42:01Speaker 1: that is that's true to our culture, you know what
- 42:03Speaker 1: I mean. And that's one thing that we try to avoid.
- 42:06Speaker 1: It's my real body. Butter is amazing because it's imported
- 42:09Speaker 1: directly from Ghana, so it's just the real stuff and
- 42:12Speaker 1: we whip it down. It has amazing cocoa shade sent
- 42:16Speaker 1: to it, so it's not too heavy, you know you
- 42:18Speaker 1: it's still smells light. You could put it on from
- 42:20Speaker 1: head to toe. I put it on my ball head
- 42:22Speaker 1: and put it on my body, on my face, and um, yeah,
- 42:25Speaker 1: it's amazing. It's one of our top sellers that people
- 42:27Speaker 1: really love it. But I think Shay Butter goes back
- 42:30Speaker 1: to like to us. You know, we grew up our
- 42:33Speaker 1: grandmothers using vaseline and thick products, and so when I
- 42:36Speaker 1: thought about, you know, something far our body, I wanted
- 42:39Speaker 1: something to think that would give us that glow and
- 42:41Speaker 1: and then not have us ashy all day. Surely. Now,
- 42:46Speaker 1: I love Dorian. I love the Vitamin c Sum. I
- 42:50Speaker 1: love that it's it's brightening, it hydrates, and I love
- 42:55Speaker 1: the Coco Shaye revitalizing cream. So we love your products,
- 42:59Speaker 1: love it, love us. But a baby. Yeah, everything from
- 43:03Speaker 1: top to bottom, the packaging, everything is just top notch.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Beautify you. Yeah, you know it's please and yeah it's
- 43:13Speaker 1: like but a baby. It is so Dorian. Continued success
- 43:19Speaker 1: to you in your career as an actor and musician
- 43:22Speaker 1: and all the things that you do and especially as
- 43:24Speaker 1: CEO of BUTTA. Thank you so much. All right, thank
- 43:28Speaker 1: you guys. Get all the information you need on Butta
- 43:31Speaker 1: at Steve Harvey FM dot com. Dorian, please don't be
- 43:37Speaker 1: a stranger. I won't be y'all, and I'm gonna keep
- 43:40Speaker 1: sending y'all from y'all, won't be ashy appreciate it, okay,
- 43:48Speaker 1: all right? Coming up next, it is the nephew and
- 43:51Speaker 1: the praying phone call. Right after this, you're listening to
- 43:54Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top
- 43:59Speaker 1: of the hour. Right about four minutes after it is
- 44:02Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today. The subject is in love
- 44:07Speaker 1: and terrified. We'll get into that. Find out what that
- 44:13Speaker 1: Wait till you hear this, find out what that's all about.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Right after this, right now, the nephew is here. You
- 44:18Speaker 1: hear him with today's prank phone call. What you got
- 44:21Speaker 1: for us? And now, if you can't talk straight at
- 44:25Speaker 1: the bab shop, then where can you talk straight? Black
- 44:30Speaker 1: Man's Country Club ladies, And right I say, yeah, yes, sir,
- 44:38Speaker 1: This right here is the Bob Shot Brady. How you doing? Man?
- 44:44Speaker 1: My name, my name is Dennis Man. I got a
- 44:45Speaker 1: hair cut from you a couple of weeks ago. Ye, hey, listen,
- 44:50Speaker 1: I wanted to get an appointment with you man, Like
- 44:52Speaker 1: I said, I was there a couple of weeks ago. Man,
- 44:54Speaker 1: my first time getting hair cut from you, did real,
- 44:56Speaker 1: real good job. So I want to say thank you
- 44:58Speaker 1: for that. All right, no, it's not from Okay, do
- 45:01Speaker 1: you have any um any time or available on Thursday? Yeah? Yeah,
- 45:05Speaker 1: for sure. Yeah, you come up to Thursday and fine,
- 45:08Speaker 1: what's what's what's your name here? Bro? Dennis? Man? Dennis? Okay, Dennis?
- 45:13Speaker 1: Why I can get chanting Dennis about about three o'clock, man,
- 45:15Speaker 1: something of that nature. I mean, you know, I know
- 45:17Speaker 1: the work performers. You know three o'clock you will be there. Yeah, okay. Hey,
- 45:23Speaker 1: I got a little bit of a situation though, man,
- 45:25Speaker 1: that happened last time I was there. I kind of
- 45:28Speaker 1: wanted to talk to you about it, man, because it
- 45:30Speaker 1: kind of called me off guard. So I wanted to
- 45:33Speaker 1: how I let you, man and see if we could
- 45:35Speaker 1: rectify the problem. For I came back up there. What happened?
- 45:38Speaker 1: What somebody disrespect your something? I mean, what else to do? What? What? Um?
- 45:43Speaker 1: It really wasn't something body, man, it was it was
- 45:45Speaker 1: It was it was actually you me whoa? I mean,
- 45:48Speaker 1: what's the here's deal? Man? When you was cutting my hair,
- 45:52Speaker 1: when it when it was time to turn the chair,
- 45:55Speaker 1: you didn't turn the chair with with with with with
- 45:58Speaker 1: your hand man. See Brady man, you you turned the
- 46:01Speaker 1: chair with your with your private part. Oh, come on safe,
- 46:06Speaker 1: then it's I mean, Dannis, I'm a professional man. I've
- 46:08Speaker 1: been doing this fifteen years, bro right right. I don't
- 46:10Speaker 1: think it's anything deliberate. Man. I think you just do
- 46:14Speaker 1: it unconsciously, man, because you know you be leaning over
- 46:16Speaker 1: on the chair cutting, and I think you don't realize,
- 46:19Speaker 1: you know, you be turning the chair with your private
- 46:22Speaker 1: part instead of doing it with your hand. Man. And see,
- 46:25Speaker 1: my hand got caught out there, and I saw it
- 46:28Speaker 1: out the corner of my eyes. I saw your private
- 46:29Speaker 1: part coming towards my hand. I moved it just in time.
- 46:33Speaker 1: You understand, but not see, Dennis, I'm not understanding something.
- 46:37Speaker 1: But because I don't, I don't. We don't operate like that, mind, yes,
- 46:40Speaker 1: because you know I don't make mistakes like that. But
- 46:43Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I don't know you. You're sure
- 46:45Speaker 1: you're talking to the right person, man, Yeah, I mean,
- 46:47Speaker 1: ain't you the third chair on the right when you
- 46:49Speaker 1: walk in the door. Yeah it's correct, Okay, that what
- 46:52Speaker 1: I'm talking about, man. And you cut me two weeks ago,
- 46:54Speaker 1: and like I said, I really like my hair cut,
- 46:56Speaker 1: so I wanted to call back and rectify this problem.
- 46:58Speaker 1: But you know, you, I turn the chair with your
- 47:01Speaker 1: head and not your pride part. If now we're gonna
- 47:03Speaker 1: have a problem, okay, Bro, Now I feel it, and
- 47:06Speaker 1: I understand you your complaint and everything. I mean, I'm
- 47:10Speaker 1: not understanding what you're saying, but because I don't do that,
- 47:13Speaker 1: you know. But I mean we will be glad to
- 47:15Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, give you another cut or whatever.
- 47:16Speaker 1: You understanding, you know, but I don't move nobody around
- 47:21Speaker 1: with my problem. Man, that's just not being Okay. I
- 47:24Speaker 1: understand what you're saying, but I want you to hear
- 47:26Speaker 1: what I'm saying. If you put your private on there
- 47:30Speaker 1: at all when I come in there Thursday, then I
- 47:34Speaker 1: promise you I'm gonna jump up and we're gonna have
- 47:35Speaker 1: a problem, let's see, not now now right there. And
- 47:39Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not feeling that jump up having a
- 47:42Speaker 1: problem because you know, you don't really know me like that. Bro,
- 47:44Speaker 1: you know. I mean, I'm trying to be professional here
- 47:46Speaker 1: and and solve your little issue that you got your understanding.
- 47:50Speaker 1: But but I all this jumping up and stuff you're
- 47:52Speaker 1: talking about doing, I don't know. I'm trying to come
- 47:55Speaker 1: in and get a nice hair cut, and walk out
- 47:57Speaker 1: with a nice hair cut. What I don't want do
- 48:00Speaker 1: it's come down there, you're lean old, put your private part. Well,
- 48:03Speaker 1: I got my arms in my hands that I got
- 48:05Speaker 1: help you. Now, that's what I don't from them. Dude,
- 48:08Speaker 1: you're starting. You're touching the wrong, talking about what you're
- 48:11Speaker 1: talking about. I'm touching you wrong. You touch me wrong
- 48:14Speaker 1: two weeks ago when you put your private on my hand. Man,
- 48:18Speaker 1: I don't know how to touch you. I tell you
- 48:19Speaker 1: feeling say what I don't you talking to man? You
- 48:23Speaker 1: know dog all I'm trying to say, you know, the
- 48:27Speaker 1: brother trying to come in and get his hair cut
- 48:29Speaker 1: and walk out fitting like a man, and not walk
- 48:31Speaker 1: out feeling violated. Man, because you didn't turn the chair
- 48:35Speaker 1: with your private part all up against my head and
- 48:37Speaker 1: my elbow and stuff. Man, you know what I'm saying.
- 48:43Speaker 1: You know I'm trying to talk to you. But unles,

- 53:37Speaker 1: hold on tight. We got it for you here. It
- 53:39Speaker 1: is just Strawberry letter, subject and love and terrify. Dear
- 53:44Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. I'm thirty two and my boyfriend and I
- 53:48Speaker 1: have been together for six months. He's a great guy
- 53:51Speaker 1: and everything I hoped for in my second husband. Yes
- 53:55Speaker 1: I say husband because he's been talking about marriage already.
- 53:59Speaker 1: We're both divorced and ready to settle down, so we
- 54:03Speaker 1: got the important stuff out of the way early on.
- 54:06Speaker 1: I get along great with his parents, and my mother
- 54:08Speaker 1: loved him. He's in a rental and I own my home,
- 54:12Speaker 1: so he's planning to move in with me. I have
- 54:15Speaker 1: fallen for this man and I can't see myself living
- 54:18Speaker 1: without him. But there's one thing I don't love, and
- 54:23Speaker 1: that's his size. The first time I got married, I
- 54:26Speaker 1: was really young and inexperienced, and I had no idea
- 54:30Speaker 1: how small my first husband was. I had nothing to
- 54:33Speaker 1: compare to because he's the only other man I've been with.
- 54:38Speaker 1: The first time I was intimate with my current boyfriend,
- 54:41Speaker 1: I called my doctor the next day because I was
- 54:44Speaker 1: sure something was broken below. She let me know that
- 54:48Speaker 1: everything was fine, and she gave me some items that
- 54:51Speaker 1: would help with intimacy. None of that stuff works, and
- 54:55Speaker 1: I feel like I am letting my boyfriend down every
- 54:57Speaker 1: time he tries to make love to me. Talked about it,
- 55:01Speaker 1: and he assured me that he loves me and he'll
- 55:04Speaker 1: be patient with me. He also told me that he's
- 55:07Speaker 1: never had this problem with the female before. My doctor
- 55:11Speaker 1: told me there's nothing wrong with my body. He's just
- 55:15Speaker 1: too large. I'm terrified whenever he starts coming on to me,
- 55:21Speaker 1: but I try to play it off. We had a
- 55:24Speaker 1: heated talk about our sex life recently and he admitted
- 55:27Speaker 1: that he's disappointed and this could be a big deal
- 55:30Speaker 1: breaker for him. How can he make our intimacy the
- 55:33Speaker 1: main focus? Does this mean we're not compatible? This letter
- 55:40Speaker 1: threw me a bit in the beginning, and I got
- 55:44Speaker 1: to say, this is a problem that many women would
- 55:46Speaker 1: love to have, and I'm sure many men would love
- 55:49Speaker 1: to have the same problem. We've had many, many letters
- 55:52Speaker 1: about the size of men and all of this, but
- 55:54Speaker 1: it's usually go ahead. We've had any letters about the
- 56:01Speaker 1: size of men, but usually it's a complaint about them
- 56:04Speaker 1: being too small, which was the case you say with
- 56:07Speaker 1: your first husband. But we've never had a letter if
- 56:10Speaker 1: I can remember, Steve, I don't know if I can
- 56:12Speaker 1: remember about a man being too large. And I guess
- 56:16Speaker 1: there's a first time for everything. You say your new
- 56:19Speaker 1: man is way too much for you, and now you're
- 56:22Speaker 1: terrified to have sex with him. But you've checked with
- 56:27Speaker 1: your doctor and you've been checked by her, and she
- 56:30Speaker 1: said you were okay, and actually she said you were
- 56:32Speaker 1: better than okay. She said you were fine. He said,
- 56:36Speaker 1: your new man said he would be patient with you,
- 56:38Speaker 1: but his patience is running out. This could be a
- 56:41Speaker 1: deal breaker for him, he's saying, And you know, I
- 56:44Speaker 1: guess understandably so, because he would want to have sex
- 56:47Speaker 1: with you if you're going to be his wife, but
- 56:50Speaker 1: you still haven't been able to. Then you said your
- 56:54Speaker 1: doctor also said there's nothing wrong with your body and
- 56:57Speaker 1: he's just too large. I mean, I don't really know
- 57:00Speaker 1: what to tell you in this in this situation, I mean,
- 57:04Speaker 1: you guys might not be compared to compatible. You know,
- 57:07Speaker 1: there could be such a thing as this going along.
- 57:10Speaker 1: I mean, women have babies every day and all of
- 57:13Speaker 1: this um. But listen, I don't know what to tell you, honestly,
- 57:17Speaker 1: unless it's mental or something like that. If you can't physically,
- 57:20Speaker 1: you can. But the doctor listened to what the doctor said, Steve, Wow,
- 57:26Speaker 1: Well you know I understand, Shelly do you say we've
- 57:30Speaker 1: never had a letter like this and everything? But you
- 57:32Speaker 1: know this is like this is like so so up
- 57:37Speaker 1: my alec Oh really, people for writing in, you know,
- 57:43Speaker 1: because game you know, you know, game recognized game right,
- 57:47Speaker 1: and uh so I have a solution, but we're gonna
- 57:50Speaker 1: have to get to the solution in the second half
- 57:53Speaker 1: of this call. Well, let's just go with some fact
- 57:56Speaker 1: because I'm too like Sherley, I was very confused at
- 57:58Speaker 1: the beginning of the letter because he's everything you wanted
- 58:02Speaker 1: in your second husband. You're both divorced, You've gotten all
- 58:05Speaker 1: of him important stuff out of the way. You get
- 58:07Speaker 1: along with his parents and mom, your mama love him.
- 58:11Speaker 1: You know, he's in a rental, I own a home.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Your sounds like something for me. Were talking about off
- 58:16Speaker 1: the app he's planning to move in with me. You know,
- 58:20Speaker 1: I failed for this man. I can't see living without him.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Blah blah blah blah. And then that's one thing you
- 58:26Speaker 1: don't love. That's his size. Not quite natural. I'm probably
- 58:29Speaker 1: like Sherley was reading this letter. Thing what very small.
- 58:32Speaker 1: We got small problems, you know, got something hem And
- 58:35Speaker 1: then the first time I got married, you know, then
- 58:38Speaker 1: you started talking about how you was young and inexperience
- 58:40Speaker 1: and you had no idea how small your first husband
- 58:44Speaker 1: was because you didn't have had nothing to compare to.
- 58:48Speaker 1: And then you got intimate with his current boyfriend, and
- 58:51Speaker 1: you call your doctor the next day because I was
- 58:53Speaker 1: sure something was broken below, which means you know, you know,
- 58:58Speaker 1: came up in there, you know, you know, putting it
- 59:00Speaker 1: in work. You know, it's just up in there. You
- 59:04Speaker 1: know he was whoop, he was aggressive. Let's just say
- 59:08Speaker 1: he was overly aggressively. You thought something had broke. She
- 59:12Speaker 1: let me know that everything was fine, and she gave
- 59:14Speaker 1: me some items that could help with intimacy. I don't
- 59:16Speaker 1: know what that was, you know, I have well, I
- 59:19Speaker 1: do know what they gave me, but you know that
- 59:21Speaker 1: ain't what it's let about. None of that stuff works.
- 59:24Speaker 1: I know that's called homeboard, homeboard, break all that up,
- 59:28Speaker 1: you know all that little stuff you didn't bought back
- 59:30Speaker 1: from the doctor homeboy, and was damn about that right there.
- 59:34Speaker 1: And you know I got some I got some stuff.
- 59:36Speaker 1: You need to give him. You need to give him
- 59:41Speaker 1: some stuff because none of that stuff work. And I
- 59:44Speaker 1: feel like I'm letting him down every time I try
- 59:46Speaker 1: to make good of you. When I come back, I
- 59:48Speaker 1: had an answer for you. Hold it all right. We'll
- 59:51Speaker 1: have part two of Thief Crazy Response coming up at
- 59:56Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters subject
- 59:59Speaker 1: in love and terrified. We'll get back into it right
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, come on, Steve. Let's recap today's
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: strawberry letter. The subject is in love and terrified. Well,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: that's thirty two year old girl who felt and found
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: a man in her dream, second marriage for both of them,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: and everything worked out everything. She go on a home
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: he read he gonna move in with her. The girl mama,
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: loving parents, love her, everything going on. She has a
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: problem with his size though I thought he was too small.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Turned out through it's just the opposite, because she didn't
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: know how small A first husband was because she didn't
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: had nothing compared to so she thought he was doing something.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Then when homeboard came in and put his work helmet on.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: See homeboard came in the set that igloo cooler down
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: next year to bed and put that put that hat on,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: that hard hat on, and set that igloo cooler down
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: next to the bed, and crawled up in there on
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: one knee off that bed. And he went up in
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: there and with the work came up in there. Board
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: like a thrown ass man came up in the work.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: And you know who came up with some artillery boy
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: came up in there there, You know, he up in
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: there with he came up there with military terms and
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: and and and and that, you know, excavation devices and
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: came up in there with mussel launchers and call call
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: up in there with stuff near you with you know,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: you're in here playing with the little boy. Had the
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: little tenant bad the boy and came up in the
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: bard with some stuff that they don't even sell in
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: the gi Joe is no more, you know. So he
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: came up in there and putting in work and it
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: came up there so where you went to doctor next day,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: You thought this man broke some because he'd better been
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: there just clowning. You know, he all he up on
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: all ten of his toes, just black. He just got
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: his toes flex. He help in there, just let nickta.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: And so anyway we have a problem. And now the
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: doctor and gave you some stuff to help you deal
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: with this. But the problem ain't chew because there's nothing
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: wrong with you. It's just the often told you he's
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: too large. So see he got started taking stuff. You know.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: So now I don't hard to tell you this hill,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: but you got to You got to get him to
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: the point where he gets excited a lot quicker. It's
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: what I'm trying to tell you. You got to give
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: him to get to where he going faster so he
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: ain't in there creating damage. And so what I'm about
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: to tell you as how this is going to work.
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Doctor told is nothing wrong with your body. He just
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: too large. I'm terrified when he started coming on me,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: but I played off. We had a head talk about
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: our sex life. Recently, he admitted he's disappointed and this
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: could be a big deal breaker for him because he's
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: never had this problem with a female before. He says
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: he's never had this problem with a female before, but
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: he ain't with nobody though. Is he's had a problem
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: some women had just walked out us his life, just
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: got up and gotten the car, drove off and never
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: called her back. Nothing to do this no more with you,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: his partner. You ain't find to come up in the
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: hill like you're looking for all every evening. We're not
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: fend to do this. So how can he make our
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: intimacy the main focus? Does this mean we're not compatible? Well,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: here's what has to happen. You have to have a
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: talk with this young man because he's thirty two. See
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: he going going at just the same way he's been
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: going at it, and it's creating a problem for you.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: So now here's what has to happen. He has to
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: change his depth perception. He has to change his depth perception,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: meaning he has to change what he think d is.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: See it's like a swimming pool in a cave. And
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: these are the two analogies I have for you. See,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: you can drown in five feet of water, or you
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: can build you a swimming pool is down to thirteenth foot,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: end on it with a diving board. But you can
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: drown in three feet a water. So what you got
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: to do is get him to start drowning in less water,
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: which means he got to quit jumping in this pool
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: like he on the deep end. He got to come
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: on on this shaller end and get involved in the
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: water in a different way. Church, say, man, a man, man.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I know y'all don't know what I'm talking about. Yeah, see,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: he got to set Let me give you an example.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: He is a cave dweller. He's a man with a
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: helmet on with a mining light. If he liked to
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: go in cave, what he has to learn is he
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: can't go all the way in the cave. He gonna
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: had to get happy by just to be an indicave.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: He can't go all the way to the back of
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: this cave. He is to learn to stay at the
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: front of the cave because it's too much back there.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: We thank you. He got to learn how to stay
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: at the front of the cave. Now, well, what you
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: have to do is you have to make the front
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: of the cave the focal point. It has to be everything.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: I have a lot of knowledge on this subject because
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I had you know, I've had to be understanding and
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: now I just you know. I just people who had
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: the best life they can have. Now are they compatible?
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Not sexually, They're not compatible section And it's not going
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: to work unless he changes a couple of things to
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: his death perception. He gotta he has to change what
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: he thinks d and then he had to play at
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: the front of the cave. Quit trying to go all
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: in the back. Thank you. Post your comments untime. Post
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: your comments on on today's Strawberry Letters Facebook. We got it.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast. Light At coming up
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: in forty six minutes after the hour of Juniors here
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: with Sports Talk right after this, you're listening st show.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: All right, guys, Junior is here with Sports Talk. What
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: you got, Junior? I'm gonna tell you right now. We
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: already know. No Brady, no Aaron Rods, somebody gonna be
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: a Super Bowl champ. You got the Bengals and the Chiefs.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Rams forty nine is next Sunday Man. Who would have
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: thought that the Bengals with Joe Burrow would be right here?
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: I never saw that. I never saw the Bengals. I
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: expect the Chiefs never saw the being I don't I
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: don't know anybody saw the Bengals. I don't know anybody
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: saw that scept the Bengals except the Beakers. That's it.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: Everybody says in that saw that man on top of
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: that though, now we got the forty nine ers and
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: the Rams. Matthew Stafford finna get his shot man to
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: go to the super Bowl. That the Ram's gonna do it.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: I do think the Ram's gonna do what I do.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Do you think the Ram's gonna win the Super Bowl?
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: I think the Ram's gonna San Francisco first. Yeah, I don't.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something, man, they have some pressure him.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Damn Rams had some pressure on Tom Brady. Ass boards,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Aaron Donald stay. They stayed back there, they live back then.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: They move right off that mark. And that's what they've
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: been saying. If you get if you can make Tom
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: Brady move, he's not gonna be successful. Is he not
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: fin the run? And we know that. No, I ain't running,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: and you you shouldn't talk about running. But he not running? Yeah,
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: you know that's cute. No, that's the truth. You know
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: what that is. Don't say running. I'm gonna let you
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: make it. Go ahead. He won't let me make it.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: But what that means I'm just saying we just move on.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I ain't moving on. He ain't say nothing about running running.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: But did you see Antonio Brown's tweet though? What he say?
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Did he say? Yeah? He held he held up a
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: sign that said bucks eliminated yeah with his shirtless. You
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: see it on Twitter that yeah, he shouldn't be talking.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I saw the other the message put out there talking
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: about a couple of teams already called me, well, why
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: do you ain't working? Dan? They can call. Ain'tybody to
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: book at you? Ain't nobody dog, everybody can call. What's
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: the offer gonna be? And I don't know what team
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: that wants to invite that today, locker room, I really don't.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: I feel bad for this kid man and he's not
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: getting younger and he's not getting better. So well, what
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: do you think they fit to offer him? Ah? Nothing,
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: nothing at all. We're gonna find out Sunday though. Who's
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: gonna be in the super Bowl. We're gonna know them
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: all right, Junior, thank you. Coming up at the top
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: of the hour, Fat Joe said to be honest with
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: your family about your finances. We're gonna talk about that
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Well thought. Joe did a recent podcast interview on I
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Am Athlete, and he said people need to be honest
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: with themselves about their finances. He says, I tell my wife,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: I tell my kids. We are not Sean P. Diddy,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Combs or Jay Z. That Joe said, there are levels
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: to wealth. Okay, you agree with that, Steve. It's it's
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: absolutely true as levels to it. Your level can be
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: just fine. If you put looking over somebody else's, right,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: you know you really can get on and enjoy your
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: life if you couldn't looking at the life you don't have. Yes, right,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: But let me tell you something though. I was. I
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: was doing that recently, looking at somebody's life that I
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: know what it was, and they make a considerably an
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: amount of money more than I do. And somebody asked me,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: one of my partners say, man, I bet you trade
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: lives with him. I said, I bet I wouldn't because
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: with all the money you have and all the worldly
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: possessions I see you with that I don't have. I
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: look in my life and I would not trade my
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: life for his life. You don't know what that person's
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: life is like. And you don't know what they're going through.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: I'm telling you, man, you might be in way better
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: shape than you think. Yeah, because somebody's missing, somebody got
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: issues in their life. I don't care who they are.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: And somebody's lacking something. But I lacked for nothing. You know,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: I don't. I don't need anything. There's a lot of
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: stuff I won't but I don't need nothing now, man.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: But you but it's kind of hard to He's saying,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: you have to be honest about your finances. That that's
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: kind of hard, I mean telling people. I think he's
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: doing a great job telling his wife and kids that.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: But yeah, yeah, because they probably want things that they
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: see the other kids have and other families. But he's
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: being honest. Also, Steve, former retired Miami Dolphins NFL player
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: Channing Crowder, talked about the black tax phenomenon. This is
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: the idea that black athletes are expected expected to financially
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: take care of their family once they become successful. He
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: talked about how after he was drafted, his family was like,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: we made it. We made it. Yeah. Yeah, And that's true, man,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: because black people two things about us. We are the
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: only race of people for the actions of each other.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: We get blamed if if black people are the only
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: race of people that's responsible for the actions of one another.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: When black people do something over here, all black people
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: get blamed for it. All people, all black people don't
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: get credit for it. But we share in the blame.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: So the racism towards the black races, it makes it
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: very easy for people to apply to pressure all the
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: way across the board. And when we become successful and
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: signed contracts, we're responsible for our family members and friends.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: Ain't nobody else, says man, I remember Meyl Brooks told
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: me one time. I mean, not Meyl Brooks, Meyl Gibson
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: told me one time we were talking. He said, hey, man,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I'm not responsible for anybody. I don't get that. I
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: don't get responsible for anybody. I did this. And I'm
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: saying a while, but black people off made to believe
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: and held responsible for one another. That's a true statement.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: And it doesn't matter what field or industry, not just
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: athletes or entertainers. Even if you're just successful in your family,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: that's the case. You know, all of us have felt that. Yeah,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: but but the attitude of the we made it, I mean,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: I know it takes you know, it takes a village,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: and it takes a team. It's teamwork. And you know
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: you didn't get there by yourself, you know, and all
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: of that. But still we made it. I'm on here
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: doing this hard work every day, running these plays and
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: all of that. You know, we can't tell our family no, no,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: you said, it's a responsibility. We oh man, it's kind
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: of crazy too, man, it is, it really is. I
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: got them. People helped you go to practice and all that.
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: But you don't owe him nothing. You don't owe him
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: for that. You drove me to practice. What did you practice?
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: You put in the time right? Did you go to school?
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Did you run these routes? Did you go do these
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: two days? Really? Man? Now you know we all feel
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: obligated to buy Mama House. I mean that's just yes,

- 1:14:47Speaker 1: and the sex appeal. Instead, she'll be representing confidence and
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: empowerment as a strong female. She'll be rocking sneakers now.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Green Eminem will also become better friends with the only
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: other female eminem that's Brown Eminem, to showcase of force
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: supporting women. The other colors will also see some notable
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: personality changes to the Orange Eminem's constantly untied shoes and
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: anxious personality will change as he learned to embrace his
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: true self, worries and all. Conservative news anchor Tucker Carlson
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: is very upset about the female eminem's not being sexy
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: anymore and changing to be more inclusive. He wants them
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: to stay sexy and keep the pumps and all of that.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Oh you need something to do? You wearry about about
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: a candy? Candy? I don't damn what characters? Make sure

- 1:16:49Speaker 1: you get that same hot all this damn noise? What's wrong?

- 1:17:30Speaker 1: you rather spend the day with your favorite movie star?
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Would you rather movie star? Yeah? I knew you would
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: say movie start because you're being Sam Jackson hanging out
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: playing golf. Yeah, movie stop? Oh that seems fun. Yeah,
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: he cussing hard? That's hard because I like my favorite
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: athletes too, man, But then I would you know who's
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: your favorite? Was my favorite actor? Favorite my favorite athlete? Yeah?
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: I don't know, man, Tiger's a favorite athlete. I love
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: to have dinner with him. I don't want to hang
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: out with him, thought him. I'd like to hang out
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: with with Mike Tyson, but I think he's too scared
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: to say something. I don't say the wrong thing. I
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: know watch him. I don't know, man, I fall I
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: like shock hanging out cool when he's one of my
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: favorite dudes. Man that I like just to see we're
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: not like real tighter number. We always give each other
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: love when we see each other. Up then probably probably
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: athlete for me, but I'd have a tough time picking one. Yeah,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: I'll tell you. Man. When Steph Curry came to do
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Steph Curry's family came to do a celebrity family feud
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: and Steph got out the corn, everybody was gathering around. Man,
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: I dapt him up, said it was Steph. Nice meet you,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: But the dude I wanted to meet was his damn
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: daddy Dan. We're standing out hug and his wife said,

- 1:19:14Speaker 1: the coolest dude man. Right, all right, coming up, Thank

- 1:20:19Speaker 1: in on the email on my excuse me, on my voicemail.
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: You have eight seven twenty nine, Steve, where you can
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: leave me in voicemail and talk to me. I want
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: to share one with you, and here it is now. Hey, Steve,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I love listening to you. My name is Roger Williams.
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: Listen these white folks man, they still got us contained.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: The reason I said that is because I've been trying
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: to buy a house. I do everything they tell me
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: to do, and they always come back with some kind
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: of bullcrap. It keeps me not for not buying a house.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: Were black folks. Yeah, we gotta stick together, we gotta
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: stand it up. I am just so sick of this.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: If I could, I will move out to the United States.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: I'm tired of this. They treat you any kind of way.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: They tell you everything you do, but they tell you
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: to do and they still come up with some bullcraft. Man,
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: I'm just trying to buy how to put my wife
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: and myself in it. They won't let me, Steve, they
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: won't let me talk to you. Well, let me help
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: you out with something stuff. I will be the first
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: to admit I've had these exact same thoughts as you.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: As a matter of fact, I used to carry those
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: thoughts around with me all the time. I got what
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: you're saying. I'm in that age bracket where it almost fits. Look, man,
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: I'm old enough where I grew up in a city Welch,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: West Virginia that had colored only water fountains, colored only restrooms,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: no blacks could eat at lunch counters. I grew up.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: I grew up in that. I was the sixties kid.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: I saw all of this. Let me help you understand something.
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: So I'm admitting that I've had these same thoughts, brother,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: But what I got to help you out with is
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: how I got rid of those thoughts. And this may
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: help you. First of all, I understand systematically it's hard
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: to succeed in this country on any level, but it's
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: because of the game. The game is set up for
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: no one to succeed. Now, because we are black, we
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: have extra barriers. You know, we've been zonings. If once
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: they see a certain zip code, they put you in
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: a certain category, you get a different interest rate. I
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: got all that they make it hard, man. If they
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: do make it hard, the system, the systematic racism in
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: this country is real. But what I had to learn
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: was I quit calling it the white man's game, and
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: I just started calling it the game because it's the game.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: And I just had to learn how to play the game. Now.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: I had to implement the fact that the extras that
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: come with it cause I'm black, but I had to
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: deal with it. But listen, man, a lot of what's
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: happening to you is because you allowing it to come
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: out of your mouth. You give too much power to them. Man,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: these white folks won't let us. Man, these white folks
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: won't let Who are you talking? What white folks? See? Bro?
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: I got what you saying technically, But you can't empower
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: people like that. You can't give a person the power
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: over you. You give too much power to them. You're
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: verbalizing it and speaking a truth into your life. I'm
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: just telling you what you're doing. Bro. If I were you,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: I would stop verbalizing and speaking this truth into my life.
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: I would stop. I would stop saying stuff that you
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: keep making fruition. You keep giving them the power. You
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: keep saying the white man did this, The white man
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: got power. They won't let me. No, man, what are
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: you talking about? They won't let you. You know what
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: I mean? Black people got houses? Stop? First of all,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: stop verbalizing. I gotta show full of people that got
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: houses because they've made a commitment to get one. Secondly,
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: you're talking about moving out the country. But if you
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: move out the country where you're gonna live, you gotta
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: have ticking money. You gotta go there and buy a house.
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: I got what you said. Now, how about this right here,
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: let me help you out with it. Quit going to
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: the bank by yourself. I have no problem I ever
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: had in my life, Nor do I have that I
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: have that's bigger than my God. I don't have a
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: problem that's bigger than my God. Quit going to the
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: bank by yourself. Why don't you going, Why don't you
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: take Why don't you take the lord in the bank
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: with you? What they're gonna do? Now, see now, they
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: ain't just turning you down. See that's why. That's why. Man. Look, man,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: whenever people come for me, I try to warm people.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: I try to warm them. I started to say, hey, man,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: listen to me. Don't don't come for me because I
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: ain't over here by myself. Now, I happen to belong
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: I'm a child of the Most High. I'm telling you
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: right now, I belong to somebody. So careful when you
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: come for me. I ain't over here by myself, Pardner,
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: My heavenly father watches over me. So when you come
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: for me, you know. And it's like when I was
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: a little boy, sometimes I would tell kids on the street,
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell my daddy that gave me power. I'm
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: gonna tell my daddy come to My daddy was gonna
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: do something. Well, I got a heavenly father too. Why
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: don't you take him to the bank with you. Why
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: don't you tell him to help you get a house
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: and then watch you get a house? And because when
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: God give it to you, ain't nothing nobody could do
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: about it, you feel me, Let's try that, man, Just
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: try that, bro. I just want to address that. Y'all.
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: Have a great day. Man, see y'all, the mall can't
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: speak hurt. For all Steve Harvey contests, no purchase necessary,
