- 0:01Speaker 1: Look, I think it's incredibly unfortunate. You and I are
- 0:04Speaker 1: both good friends with President Trump, and we're both good friends.
- 0:07Speaker 2: With Elon Musk.
- 0:08Speaker 1: They're both extraordinary man. I was in the Oval Office
- 0:11Speaker 1: with the President when this back and forth began, and
- 0:13Speaker 1: it's really unfortunate. They are both, I think American heroes.
- 0:17Speaker 1: They're both incredibly strong leaders. And listen, it's obvious they're
- 0:21Speaker 1: both pissed off. Right now.
- 0:22Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben Ferguson.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Good Friday morning. Welcome, it is the forty seven Morning
- 0:29Speaker 3: Update in my own mind, do we have a show
- 0:31Speaker 3: for you? First? Up, the war between Donald Trump and
- 0:34Speaker 3: Elon Musk? Is it fair to say both men may
- 0:37Speaker 3: be right in what they're saying. I'm going to break
- 0:39Speaker 3: it all down for you in just a second. Up next,
- 0:42Speaker 3: Donald Trump and his administration implement a travel band that's
- 0:46Speaker 3: long overdue, especially in light of what happened in Colorado.
- 0:50Speaker 3: So who is affected by it and what countries? All
- 0:52Speaker 3: have that for you as well? And finally, a protester
- 0:55Speaker 3: at Columbia University has direct ties to a terrorist organization.
- 1:00Speaker 3: We have the indictment and why the Trump administration is
- 1:04Speaker 3: now going after Columbia getting rid of their taxpayer dollars
- 1:08Speaker 3: that you were sending by the millions. It's the forty
- 1:11Speaker 3: seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Well, let's just go ahead and address the elephant in
- 1:19Speaker 3: the room. There is a back and forth it has
- 1:22Speaker 3: taking place by the most powerful man in the world,
- 1:25Speaker 3: the President, Donald J. Trump, and the richest man in
- 1:28Speaker 3: the world, Elon Musk. There is a lot to say
- 1:31Speaker 3: about this, but I'm going to actually keep it pretty short.
- 1:35Speaker 3: And the reason why is this isn't good for any
- 1:38Speaker 3: of our conservative values to have a in infighting at
- 1:42Speaker 3: this level. This is a gift to the liberals. It
- 1:46Speaker 3: is a gift to the liberal media. It is a
- 1:48Speaker 3: gift to the left because they're getting exactly what they want.
- 1:52Speaker 3: They want Elon Musk and Donald Trump to not get along.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I put out a statement earlier today and I'm going
- 1:59Speaker 3: to read it to you. Trump is not wrong, Elon
- 2:03Speaker 3: Musk is not wrong. Elon is working under the assumption, unfortunately,
- 2:08Speaker 3: that Congress actually wants to do the job and wants
- 2:12Speaker 3: to save our country. Elon Musk is honestly where my
- 2:17Speaker 3: head would have been twenty years ago. But I've seen
- 2:19Speaker 3: too much of these sausage it's being made. He has
- 2:22Speaker 3: an assumption that it can't be this corrupt, that Congress
- 2:26Speaker 3: should actually want to work and do its job for
- 2:29Speaker 3: the American people. That is why Elon Musk is so
- 2:33Speaker 3: angry about the big, beautiful bill with good reason. Then
- 2:36Speaker 3: there is Donald Trump, who's working under the reality that
- 2:40Speaker 3: these people are absolutely scum in Congress, by the way,
- 2:45Speaker 3: many of them Republicans, and you cannot get anything perfect
- 2:49Speaker 3: pass through the current legislation or legislators that we currently
- 2:53Speaker 3: have in Washington. Now, Donald Trump understands what it means
- 2:57Speaker 3: to actually drain the swamp. He understands how many swamp
- 3:01Speaker 3: creatures are still there. He understands how many swamp creatures
- 3:04Speaker 3: are within the Republican Party. And that's why I say
- 3:07Speaker 3: Trump is working under the reality that these people in
- 3:11Speaker 3: Washington are absolute scum, and he knows that he cannot
- 3:15Speaker 3: get a perfect bill pass with this many scumbags in Congress. Now,
- 3:20Speaker 3: let me also talk about the things that Elon Musk
- 3:22Speaker 3: is also, by the way right about. I think we
- 3:25Speaker 3: can all agree that we would love a bill that
- 3:27Speaker 3: eliminates the entire corrupt irs. We would love a bill
- 3:31Speaker 3: that gets rid of all the government wasts, fraud and abuse.
- 3:35Speaker 3: We would love to have some of these agencies completely
- 3:38Speaker 3: gutted and have an administrative state that disappears the way
- 3:41Speaker 3: it's being run if we had that bill. There's also
- 3:45Speaker 3: the other reality, probably wouldn't even get twenty votes in
- 3:48Speaker 3: the House of Representatives because there is so many swamp
- 3:51Speaker 3: creatures there. Yes, many of them have the R next
- 3:55Speaker 3: to their name. Now, the bill on the floor, Donald
- 3:58Speaker 3: Trump understands is probably about as good as it's going
- 4:01Speaker 3: to get with the current crap that we have in Congress.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Represent the people, and Elon Musk is absolutely right to
- 4:10Speaker 3: be angry about what's in this bill. There are things
- 4:14Speaker 3: in this bill that I would love to get rid of.
- 4:17Speaker 3: But I also know that I'd rather have this bill
- 4:20Speaker 3: than have no deal done at all and have taxes
- 4:23Speaker 3: skyrocket and hurt Americans and have liberals in essence win.
- 4:28Speaker 3: So I go back to what I said a moment ago.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Elon is not wrong. Donald Trump is also not wrong.
- 4:35Speaker 3: But I want to say this clearly. I do not
- 4:38Speaker 3: believe that Elon is our enemy. I believe that AOC
- 4:42Speaker 3: and the Biden crime family, and the Obama family and
- 4:45Speaker 3: the Clinton family, and the mainstream media and the corrupt
- 4:49Speaker 3: individuals at PBS and NPR. They are the enemy. Elon
- 4:53Speaker 3: Musk is not the enemy. I think America should forever
- 4:57Speaker 3: be grateful, forever be indebted to Elon Musk for doing
- 5:02Speaker 3: what he did, saving free speech by buying Twitter, exposing
- 5:06Speaker 3: the corruption in the silencing and censoring of conservatives that
- 5:10Speaker 3: were on Twitter, exposing the corruption in social media that
- 5:15Speaker 3: has changed drastically since he bought Twitter and turned it
- 5:19Speaker 3: into X. He risked everything to save free speech in
- 5:23Speaker 3: this country. We now know how big of an impact
- 5:26Speaker 3: he's had on free speech. Things that you used to
- 5:28Speaker 3: not be able to say on social media you can
- 5:30Speaker 3: now say again. Things that used to get you kicked
- 5:33Speaker 3: off of social media because you were a conservative and
- 5:36Speaker 3: you wanted to expose waste, fraud, abuse, or ask questions
- 5:39Speaker 3: about a vaccine used to get you silenced. Let's be clear,
- 5:43Speaker 3: social media would not be what it is right now
- 5:47Speaker 3: if it wasn't for Elon Musk fighting back. There's also
- 5:50Speaker 3: something else that Elon has done that I will forever
- 5:53Speaker 3: be grateful for. He exposed the level of waste fraud
- 5:58Speaker 3: and abuse that we have within our government. This will
- 6:01Speaker 3: pay dividends for years to come, because now the majority
- 6:05Speaker 3: of Americans realize that the government is not working for them,
- 6:09Speaker 3: it is stealing from them and then hooking up their
- 6:12Speaker 3: friends and family members and donors with ridiculous amounts of money.
- 6:17Speaker 3: He also exposed the level of waste in overseas transactions
- 6:22Speaker 3: and just pure corruption. He has shown us exactly how
- 6:26Speaker 3: broken our government is. So I go back to what
- 6:29Speaker 3: I said a moment ago. Elon is not wrong, and
- 6:32Speaker 3: he's also not our enemy.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Now.
- 6:34Speaker 3: The final thing I'll say is this, I genuinely hope
- 6:37Speaker 3: that Donald Trump and Elon Musk can stop having this war.
- 6:41Speaker 3: I hope that they will go back to talking like
- 6:44Speaker 3: men to one another behind closed doors. I think both
- 6:48Speaker 3: men have done amazing things for this country, and I
- 6:51Speaker 3: think both men are playing into the trap right now
- 6:54Speaker 3: that the left and the liberal media have been wanting
- 6:57Speaker 3: to happen since day one. Musk is going to go
- 7:01Speaker 3: back to his private life and the work that he's done.
- 7:04Speaker 3: I do not want it to be undone because of
- 7:06Speaker 3: this war. I also want to be clear Donald Trump
- 7:09Speaker 3: is working under the reality of the situation that Washington
- 7:13Speaker 3: is broken, that there are a lot of scumbag politicians,
- 7:17Speaker 3: including Republicans, and you cannot get anything perfect passed through
- 7:21Speaker 3: the current legislators that we have in Washington. So as
- 7:25Speaker 3: I wrap this point up, I want to say this,
- 7:27Speaker 3: I am hoping for a very quick reconciliation between these
- 7:31Speaker 3: two brilliant minds. I'm hoping that they can at least
- 7:34Speaker 3: be civil, because a civil war between these two men
- 7:37Speaker 3: only helps the radical left. Next story number two, President
- 7:42Speaker 3: Donald Trump signed a proclamation reinstating a travel band that
- 7:47Speaker 3: restricts entry into the United States for citizens of twelve
- 7:50Speaker 3: countries whine, the president, citing national security concerns. Now the
- 7:55Speaker 3: policy is said to take effect very quickly on June
- 7:59Speaker 3: the ninth. There are twelve countries that are listed, and
- 8:02Speaker 3: the President had this to say about it is he
- 8:04Speaker 3: announced it from the Oval Office.
- 8:06Speaker 5: The recent terror attack in Boulder, Colorado has underscored the
- 8:11Speaker 5: extreme dangers posed to our country by the entry of
- 8:14Speaker 5: foreign nationals who are not properly vetted, as well as
- 8:17Speaker 5: those who come here as temporary visitors and overstay their visas.
- 8:22Speaker 5: We don't want them. In the twenty first century, we've
- 8:25Speaker 5: seen one terror attack after another, carried out by foreign
- 8:28Speaker 5: visa overstairs from dangerous places all over the world, and
- 8:33Speaker 5: thanks to Biden's open door policies, today there are millions
- 8:37Speaker 5: and millions of these illegals who should not be in
- 8:40Speaker 5: our country. In my first term, my powerful travel restrictions
- 8:44Speaker 5: were one of our most successful policies, and they were
- 8:47Speaker 5: a key part of preventing major foreign terror attacks on
- 8:51Speaker 5: American soil. We will not let what happened in Europe
- 8:54Speaker 5: happen to America. That's why on my first day back
- 8:58Speaker 5: in office, I directed these secutive state to perform a
- 9:01Speaker 5: security review of high risk regions and make recommendations for
- 9:06Speaker 5: where restrictions should be imposed. Among the national security threats
- 9:11Speaker 5: their analysis considered are the large scale presence of terrorists,
- 9:15Speaker 5: failure to cooperate on visa security, inability to verify travelers' identities,
- 9:22Speaker 5: inadequate record keeping of criminal histories, and persistently high rates
- 9:27Speaker 5: of illegal visa overstays, and other things. Very simply, we
- 9:32Speaker 5: cannot have open migration from any country where we cannot
- 9:36Speaker 5: safely and reliably vet and screen those who seek to
- 9:40Speaker 5: enter the United States. That is why today I am
- 9:43Speaker 5: signing a new executive order placing travel restrictions on countries
- 9:48Speaker 5: including Yemen, Somalia, Haiti, Libya, and numerous others. The strength
- 9:54Speaker 5: of the restrictions were applying depends on the severity of
- 9:58Speaker 5: the threat post The list subject to revision based on
- 10:02Speaker 5: whether material improvements are made, and likewise, new countries can
- 10:07Speaker 5: be added as threats everge around the world. But we
- 10:10Speaker 5: will not allow people to enter our country who wish
- 10:14Speaker 5: to do us harm, and nothing will stop us from
- 10:17Speaker 5: keeping America safe. Thank you very much.
- 10:20Speaker 3: The President. Going through that list again, Afghanistan, Burma, Chad,
- 10:25Speaker 3: the Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan,
- 10:31Speaker 3: and Yemen. There are also partial restrictions on seven different
- 10:35Speaker 3: countries Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turns, Megastan, and Venezuela.
- 10:42Speaker 3: The partial restrictions involve limitations on immigrant and certain non
- 10:47Speaker 3: immigrant visas, but some temporary visas may still be granted
- 10:51Speaker 3: with those quote partial restrictions on the seven countries I
- 10:54Speaker 3: just listed, as President Trump stated, the ban aims to
- 10:57Speaker 3: protect the United States from individuals who may pose threats
- 11:01Speaker 3: to national security, citing concerns over terrorism, inadequate vetting processes,
- 11:07Speaker 3: and high visa overstay rates in the US. He referenced
- 11:10Speaker 3: a recent attack in Boulder allegedly perpetrated by an Egyptian
- 11:15Speaker 3: national and a catalyst for the new policy. Now the
- 11:19Speaker 3: administration also pointed to deficiencies and information sharing and an
- 11:23Speaker 3: identity management protocols and effected countries which hinder effective screening
- 11:28Speaker 3: and vetting of travelers. The travel band has already faced criticism.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Don't worry from the left, as they will do anything
- 11:35Speaker 3: to stand up for illegal immigrants and even those that
- 11:38Speaker 3: are committing atrostes against Americans. It is very clear there's
- 11:42Speaker 3: two ways of thinking on this issue. The conservative way,
- 11:46Speaker 3: the Trump way is to protect American citizens, and the
- 11:49Speaker 3: left is to advocate and protect the illegal immigrants, even
- 11:53Speaker 3: those that are on terrorists watch lists.
- 11:56Speaker 2: And here is story number three.
- 11:57Speaker 3: The Trump administration is upset right now with many American
- 12:02Speaker 3: universities who are allowing anti Semitism to explode on college campuses.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Colombia is a perfect example of this, where a protester
- 12:12Speaker 3: and self proclaimed Jew hater, we now have learned, had
- 12:16Speaker 3: direct links to Hamas Teracel. This coming from disturbing phone
- 12:20Speaker 3: records as the DOJ is revealing all of this. A
- 12:24Speaker 3: Jew hater quote unquote, who protested against Israel on Columbia
- 12:29Speaker 3: University's campus and contemplated, we now have learned setting a
- 12:33Speaker 3: student on fire allegedly had a direct link to the
- 12:37Speaker 3: Hamas Deadly Al Casombrigade militant group. The post is now
- 12:42Speaker 3: revealing the man is now a wedding trial after being
- 12:46Speaker 3: indicted on three federal hate crimes against Jewish people. He
- 12:50Speaker 3: was a member of a chat group that received regular
- 12:53Speaker 3: updates from the terrorist organization as well, and the accusation
- 12:58Speaker 3: is the first evidence of an ador receiving information directly
- 13:03Speaker 3: from Hamas and taking action during protests on the University
- 13:07Speaker 3: of Columbia campus. Now, the individual was twenty. I want
- 13:11Speaker 3: to be clear he was not a Columbia student, but
- 13:14Speaker 3: he was on the campus protesting. He frequently wore the
- 13:18Speaker 3: green headband used by Hamas terrace and boasted to friends
- 13:22Speaker 3: about having relatives overseas who were actually a part of
- 13:25Speaker 3: the terror group. This all coming from the DOJ court filing.
- 13:30Speaker 3: While on Columbia's campus during protests in April of last year,
- 13:35Speaker 3: the individual allegedly Texas pals, saying he lit a flare
- 13:38Speaker 3: and considered lighting someone on fire, but that there was
- 13:41Speaker 3: quote too many people around him to take on otherwise
- 13:45Speaker 3: he would have hurt them. A Columbia University said has
- 13:48Speaker 3: quote no record of the man being on campus and
- 13:51Speaker 3: wanted to quote be clear that this individual is not
- 13:54Speaker 3: affiliated with our university in anyway. All right, so why
- 13:57Speaker 3: did you allow him to protest on your campus? The
- 14:00Speaker 3: university added that the school quote strongly condemns anti Semitism
- 14:05Speaker 3: and violence, and we are horrified by the violence and
- 14:08Speaker 3: hate crimes described in the incident. Well, you can say
- 14:11Speaker 3: that all you want, but the reality is Columbia University
- 14:14Speaker 3: has allowed this hate to grow on its campus, which
- 14:18Speaker 3: brings me to the second part of the story. The
- 14:20Speaker 3: Trump administration is now escalating pressure on Colombia, as the
- 14:25Speaker 3: Education Department is questioning the university's accreditation altogether. Here's more
- 14:31Speaker 3: of the story from Fox News.
- 14:33Speaker 6: The Trump administration is not backing down as it continues
- 14:36Speaker 6: its crackdown on campus anti semitism. The State Department is
- 14:39Speaker 6: vowing to investigate the visa status of anti Israel protesters
- 14:43Speaker 6: who were arrested after storming the school. Library this week.
- 14:47Speaker 7: The nature of our promise that people who are in
- 14:49Speaker 7: this country with the visa ante laws or affect the
- 14:53Speaker 7: nature of what's important to our country when it comes
- 14:56Speaker 7: to our foreign policy and national security will be acted
- 14:58Speaker 7: on in that regard. Yes, he said it, and I
- 15:02Speaker 7: believe them, and that's the word you can take for it.
- 15:04Speaker 6: Congress Woman Elise Stephanic says that schools like Columbia just
- 15:09Speaker 6: aren't paying attention here listen to what she has to say.
- 15:12Speaker 4: And the fact that these universities have allowed that to
- 15:15Speaker 4: perpetuate shows that they have been incapable of showing strong
- 15:18Speaker 4: leadership to allow safety for students, and they've allowed this
- 15:21Speaker 4: anti semitism to continue to rise. The US taxpayers do
- 15:25Speaker 4: not want their dollars to prop up institutions that are
- 15:27Speaker 4: unsafe for Jewish students, and that has been the case
- 15:30Speaker 4: at places like Columbia.
- 15:31Speaker 3: One thing's for sure. The Trump administration isn't screwing around
- 15:35Speaker 3: with anti semitism on college campuses, and they're going to
- 15:38Speaker 3: make it hurt for universities that refuse to rein it in.
- 15:41Speaker 3: So well done to the Trump administration for doing this.
- 15:45Speaker 3: They're not holding back and they're stopping anti Semitism, especially
- 15:49Speaker 3: when your tax dollars are going to these universities that
- 15:52Speaker 3: have been looking the other way for far too long.
