- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only. Steve Harvey, Oh yeah, man,
- 2:12Speaker 1: got a radio show. Do you understand that I'm telling you?
- 2:16Speaker 1: God been big in my life. God God is a gentleman.
- 2:20Speaker 1: You know. I wanna I want to point that out
- 2:22Speaker 1: to you. God is an absolute gentleman. He will not
- 2:27Speaker 1: come in unless he's invited. He don't just barge into
- 2:32Speaker 1: your life. He gives us the power of choice. You know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: if you say you got it, I don't need you,
- 2:40Speaker 1: he lets you have it. If you say I need
- 2:43Speaker 1: you come see about me. He right there. It's just
- 2:47Speaker 1: a real simple thing, man. So I always say to
- 2:51Speaker 1: people this, if you've gotten yourself into something, and please
- 2:56Speaker 1: know I have, I man, see that. That's why I'm
- 3:02Speaker 1: so adamant about it, because I've gotten myself in some
- 3:05Speaker 1: circumstances and positions in my life. But I've been, I've been.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I've had some low moments. Man, I've had some moments
- 3:13Speaker 1: where I did not know what to do. I didn't
- 3:17Speaker 1: know what was next. I didn't know how to go
- 3:20Speaker 1: about it. I didn't have no more ideas. I was stuck.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I thought a couple of times, well might not make
- 3:31Speaker 1: it past this one. But then if I don't make
- 3:35Speaker 1: it past it, what's gonna happen? And then I held
- 3:38Speaker 1: on to this little thing that my mother kept talking
- 3:40Speaker 1: to me about. She said, sometimes some when you ain't
- 3:44Speaker 1: got nothing else in you, just hope, she said, just
- 3:48Speaker 1: hope it will be all right, you know. And what
- 3:51Speaker 1: I've learned in my life is that hope it's the
- 3:54Speaker 1: beginning of faith. Hope's just is there a possibility out
- 3:59Speaker 1: there for me? I sure hope something happened. See hope,
- 4:06Speaker 1: hope it's okay, man, Because like I said, for me,
- 4:10Speaker 1: the way I've lived my life, hope was the beginning
- 4:13Speaker 1: of faith. It was just the idea. It's just the
- 4:16Speaker 1: thought that something could change from me, that something could
- 4:20Speaker 1: be a little bit different from me, that maybe, man,
- 4:23Speaker 1: just maybe for some reason, I could be saved, I
- 4:30Speaker 1: could be rescued, things could turn around, it could head
- 4:35Speaker 1: in the other direction. Maybe I could quit messing up.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Maybe somebody will forgive me, Maybe somebody will will just
- 4:44Speaker 1: say all right. I don't know, but I can't count
- 4:47Speaker 1: the times I've been in that position. But then once
- 4:52Speaker 1: I hope a little bit, and then I remember also
- 4:54Speaker 1: my mother, because she was a Sunday school teacher, she
- 4:57Speaker 1: taught me the most valuable lesson I've ever earned in
- 5:00Speaker 1: my life. Nothing has been greater in my life than
- 5:03Speaker 1: my faith. She taught me to pray. Mom used to say,
- 5:08Speaker 1: when you get real dog for your son, prayer changes things.
- 5:13Speaker 1: She said, when you seem like you lost and you
- 5:16Speaker 1: can't finding your way, stop and pray, she said, because
- 5:21Speaker 1: prayer changes things. You know, when you get a point
- 5:24Speaker 1: in your life when you've done all you can do
- 5:26Speaker 1: and you can't do no more, and you just don't
- 5:28Speaker 1: know what to do next, She said, stop suh, pray
- 5:34Speaker 1: and combine that prayer with that hope that you got,
- 5:39Speaker 1: she said, because that hope is the beginning of faith.
- 5:43Speaker 1: She said. If you pray just hoping, she's saying that
- 5:47Speaker 1: God come through for you. That will give you confidence
- 5:50Speaker 1: that he can do it again. And then after a
- 5:53Speaker 1: while you quit hoping, she's saying, you start believing. She said,
- 5:58Speaker 1: that's when you're on to something. Them If you can
- 6:01Speaker 1: turn that hope into belief, that hope into faith, that's
- 6:11Speaker 1: that that's the ability to believe in something that you
- 6:15Speaker 1: can't see. But the key though, the faith is you're
- 6:19Speaker 1: believing in something that you can't see see hoping a
- 6:23Speaker 1: little bit different from me, not, I'm pretty sure. Like
- 6:25Speaker 1: I say, oftentimes to tell a lot of people who
- 6:28Speaker 1: can explain this thing a lot better than I can
- 6:30Speaker 1: to you, hope it's just kind of I don't know
- 6:33Speaker 1: how to I don't know how to say it. But
- 6:35Speaker 1: I'm just telling you, hope is you you're just hoping
- 6:37Speaker 1: it work out right. You just have a thought in
- 6:39Speaker 1: your mind that you know, Man, wherever you are, whoever
- 6:44Speaker 1: you are, whatever you are to me God, I show
- 6:47Speaker 1: hope something change hope helps. Man, If you ain't strong
- 6:52Speaker 1: enough to have faith, have hope, hope, and then if
- 6:58Speaker 1: you pray with some hope and God answers your prayer,
- 7:04Speaker 1: then that hope gains a little confidence, and after a
- 7:08Speaker 1: while that confidence becomes faith. Now ain't just hoping, but
- 7:15Speaker 1: I'm believing. I'm believing it's something that I cannot see.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Faith has been the key to my entire existence, even
- 7:28Speaker 1: when I didn't have any It was faith, as I
- 7:33Speaker 1: look back on it, that has gotten me here, and
- 7:38Speaker 1: not just faith, but my faith. See, you will only
- 7:44Speaker 1: get to where you're going in your life based on
- 7:48Speaker 1: your faith. See. A lot of people get the word
- 7:53Speaker 1: faith confused, like what's your faith? Uh? And then they
- 7:56Speaker 1: started going down This whole list of all these different
- 7:59Speaker 1: religions is out here. But really an essence, Man, when
- 8:03Speaker 1: I talk to people about faith, I'm talking to you
- 8:06Speaker 1: about your your belief. How much do you believe in
- 8:12Speaker 1: the unseen? How much do you believe in the things
- 8:15Speaker 1: you can't see? How much do you believe in the impossible?
- 8:20Speaker 1: How much do you believe see? Because faith is the
- 8:27Speaker 1: belief in things that you cannot see. Faith is the
- 8:33Speaker 1: core of all that is happening to me today. It
- 8:38Speaker 1: is the faith that I have in my relationship with
- 8:41Speaker 1: God that enables me to just oftentimes, if I stay
- 8:48Speaker 1: on the right course and believe a certain way and
- 8:51Speaker 1: act a certain way, his blessings just poor. They just come.
- 8:58Speaker 1: And it comes in a lot of little ways too.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I've started to notice, See, it ain't just a lot
- 9:03Speaker 1: of people think blessings is money and now, man, that
- 9:06Speaker 1: ain't it. It's coverage. It's every time my plane lands safe.
- 9:12Speaker 1: It's every time they predict bad weather and not get
- 9:15Speaker 1: up in the sky and it don't be no bad weather.
- 9:19Speaker 1: You know, this is this is favor. These are blessings
- 9:22Speaker 1: that get poured out to me. Somebody called me and
- 9:25Speaker 1: offer me something, not money, but an opportunity, you know something.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Somebody say, hey, man, I don't know, but I sent
- 9:36Speaker 1: this to you. I thought you might be interested in it.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Somebody has sent me a scripture, or somebody send me
- 9:41Speaker 1: something that's favor, and it always comes at a time
- 9:45Speaker 1: when I need it the most. That's favor that's pouring
- 9:49Speaker 1: out blessings. Now I'm also the recipient of a lot
- 9:54Speaker 1: of other blessings too. You know, I've been blessed with health.
- 9:59Speaker 1: That amazing blessing. Man, I've been blessing. I've been blessed
- 10:04Speaker 1: with a spirit of not quitting. I've been blessed with
- 10:09Speaker 1: the ability to shoulder huge amounts of responsibility. See, blessings
- 10:15Speaker 1: come a lot of ways. But once you tie into God,
- 10:21Speaker 1: once you tie in and you start doing the best
- 10:24Speaker 1: you can do, and you start asking for Him to
- 10:27Speaker 1: make you a better person, to help shape and mold
- 10:30Speaker 1: you into the kind of man or person that he
- 10:34Speaker 1: wants you to be. You be amazed what God can
- 10:37Speaker 1: do with you. Man, if you just invite me in
- 10:39Speaker 1: and allow him to be a part of your life.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I mean, what you got to lose out there? Come on?
- 10:45Speaker 1: Why why would you not change? Why would you not
- 10:48Speaker 1: allow God to be a part of your life? God
- 10:51Speaker 1: got some big plans for you. If he didn't, you
- 10:54Speaker 1: wouldn't keep waking up. You're listening to show, ladies, gentlemen,
- 11:03Speaker 1: boys and girls. This is a Steve Harvey morning show.

- 12:42Speaker 1: And I said, in your infinite wisdom, somehow touch Lebron
- 12:55Speaker 1: James and the Cavaliers. Now wait, wait a minute, somehow,
- 13:04Speaker 1: old oh lord m hmm, somehow give us victory, or
- 13:12Speaker 1: basketball player, somehow give us a win. Come on, somehow
- 13:21Speaker 1: let the Cavaliers overcome Golden State of Warriors. I need
- 13:29Speaker 1: you not right now, right as if, and I have
- 13:33Speaker 1: never needed you before. We need you tonight in order
- 13:38Speaker 1: for the Cavaliers. The wind that's gonna take off miracle.
- 13:45Speaker 1: It's gonna take up miracle, a miracle to get past
- 13:54Speaker 1: the renting them light skinned boys. I don't know how
- 13:59Speaker 1: you joined them together in the first place without clearing
- 14:03Speaker 1: it with the rest of us. But oh loon, won't
- 14:07Speaker 1: you please help me give the camel leaves a victor.
- 14:11Speaker 1: A matter of fact, we prayed for a sweet Lord.
- 14:16Speaker 1: We from that way. My heart ain't got to suffer
- 14:18Speaker 1: like I'm praying and watching it go down. Can you
- 14:22Speaker 1: wrap it up? Sorry? I hate to say it like that,
- 14:25Speaker 1: because it's a prayer. Arrest past prayer. Half we got
- 14:30Speaker 1: to come back. You already noticed prayer coming back. We'll
- 14:37Speaker 1: be back with more praying right after this at thirty two,
- 14:41Speaker 1: after you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. You left
- 14:47Speaker 1: off with a prayer. We left off asking, oh break run.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I can't pray two two sweep Golden State. That's a night.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I'm still with you, but that's a light now. The
- 15:08Speaker 1: layers can do it though. I'm asking for that because
- 15:13Speaker 1: my heart can't take five games, six game or seven.
- 15:20Speaker 1: I need a falling out and I don't need it
- 15:25Speaker 1: to be to Cavin Les. That's out I don't really
- 15:32Speaker 1: know how this God go mm hmmm. I personally was
- 15:38Speaker 1: so pulling for Houston. Let's gold rockets. There's gold Rockets.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I tried everything. They they are in a place called

- 15:59Speaker 1: straight threecap? Why would you not go take her two?
- 16:04Speaker 1: I thought we were praying for your team. I'm surprised

- 16:15Speaker 1: Oh my bad, come on past that. We listen to ministers,
- 16:22Speaker 1: but they're actually playing. No, it's over sister calling. Oh
- 16:26Speaker 1: you're done, okay, amen? Amen, Amen, come on Lebron. Yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 1: so what's your thanks? Steve? Really tonight? I mean, I
- 16:40Speaker 1: don't know how they can beat Cold. Instead, it would
- 16:43Speaker 1: these new players that Lebron got would have to play out.
- 16:47Speaker 1: They tail and I don't know. We need a great
- 16:51Speaker 1: grand game out agree, we need love get this a

- 17:10Speaker 1: eight minutes. They didn't think. They didn't think Boston was
- 17:12Speaker 1: gonna lose. Lebron came and then did it. I mean, yeah,
- 17:17Speaker 1: it could be done. They didn't had Kevin Durant though, Boston.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I'm just an observation. Yeah, no fade,
- 17:28Speaker 1: but fading though. Fai no faith and paid for what
- 17:37Speaker 1: he gets. I don't know he he Hitn't it too?

- 18:00Speaker 1: and Leap. We're back in l A. You know everybody
- 18:02Speaker 1: in l A is pulling for the Warriors, right right?
- 18:07Speaker 1: Give a damn about them though, I'm just saying now,
- 18:12Speaker 1: you know I said, we ain't right. I don't even
- 18:24Speaker 1: know who's holding who holds Lebron? Would that be Durant? Do? No?
- 18:29Speaker 1: That was Ida do whatever? Oh? Isn't he out? Yeah?

- 19:22Speaker 1: didn't know correctly, that guy looks exactly like Steve Harvey.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But Steve Harvey wouldn't be at the mall that And
- 19:28Speaker 1: you were by yourself, and you turned around only because

- 19:46Speaker 1: to one? Turned out in the in the in the
- 19:49Speaker 1: big car like, oh, I just thought, man, I could
- 19:54Speaker 1: get running and get your Yeah. So I had my
- 20:01Speaker 1: baseball hat pulled down over my eyes and the window
- 20:04Speaker 1: was up higher, so I had my head down. My

- 28:43Speaker 1: up our night and I'm saying I'm missing I'm missing
- 28:46Speaker 1: my sleep. I'm missing now I'm saying I'm missing y'alls
- 28:49Speaker 1: in the morning because I'm robbing hitting the slooth. But
- 28:52Speaker 1: I got one more thing to ask you. What is
- 28:54Speaker 1: What is the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio
- 28:57Speaker 1: show in the land, man Steve Harbor on the show.
- 29:05Speaker 1: You know everybody got you know some people have human roommates,
- 29:09Speaker 1: actually have a roommate that's a parrot. That's Benny. You

- 29:34Speaker 1: about that? Yes, it is King of Pranks, Thank you, Nef.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Kendall Jenner has reportedly hooked up in recent weeks with
- 29:42Speaker 1: Ben Simmons. We were talking about basketball earlier. Ben Simmons
- 29:45Speaker 1: of the Philadelphia seventies sixers. Uh. He flew to l
- 29:48Speaker 1: A for Memorial Day weekend with Kendall. Apparently, her most
- 29:52Speaker 1: recent boyfriend, Blake Griffin, got sent to the showers. They
- 29:56Speaker 1: cooled off the moment. Blake was traded in January to Detroit. Okay, yeah,
- 30:03Speaker 1: it's gone. Kendall spends enough time in New York City
- 30:06Speaker 1: that this time, this new romance with Ben Simmons, it
- 30:09Speaker 1: won't be completely long distance since New York is so
- 30:13Speaker 1: close to Philly and we all know that. So yeah,
- 30:15Speaker 1: we see yeah and like those those ballers huh yeah,
- 30:22Speaker 1: I did see the clip with him getting ready to
- 30:23Speaker 1: come on family. Yeah June tim Yeah cool. Look good.
- 30:27Speaker 1: If you tune in, you will see Kanye smile more
- 30:30Speaker 1: than you've ever seen him smile in his career. Oh
- 30:33Speaker 1: that's good. That's good to know. Hey, listen, guys, coming
- 30:36Speaker 1: up next, Entertainment News BT Awards lineup revealed in Kim
- 30:39Speaker 1: Kardashian and Washington. I'll to talk about prison reform with
- 30:43Speaker 1: the President. You're listening to show, all right? We now
- 30:49Speaker 1: know some of the stars will perform at b E
- 30:52Speaker 1: T the b ET Awards NET next month. We all
- 30:55Speaker 1: get so excited about the b ET Awards. They're always
- 30:57Speaker 1: in June, so this is good news. The first round
- 30:59Speaker 1: of performers include Nicki Minaj, The me Goes, and Janelle Monet.
- 31:05Speaker 1: DJ Kalett. Yeah That's Real Nice leads with six total nominations,
- 31:09Speaker 1: followed by Kendrick Lamar with five and Amigoes with four nominations.
- 31:14Speaker 1: This year's show will be hosted by Jamie Fox. Steve
- 31:17Speaker 1: It airs live Yeah it airs live from Los Angeles
- 31:20Speaker 1: on June. More performers will be announced, of course, closer
- 31:25Speaker 1: to the date as always. And in other entertainment news,
- 31:29Speaker 1: to reality stars met yesterday, Kim Kardashian met with President
- 31:32Speaker 1: Donald Trump in the Oval Office to continue the President,
- 31:37Speaker 1: uh to embrace to convince, I should say, to convince
- 31:41Speaker 1: the President to embrace prison reform. Her ally was a
- 31:45Speaker 1: President's son in law, Jared Kushner. Kim and Jared have
- 31:48Speaker 1: communicated for months through back channels. They share a passion
- 31:52Speaker 1: for altering the US justice system. Who knew this? Who
- 31:55Speaker 1: knew this? About Kim Kardashian, She asked the president to
- 31:59Speaker 1: pardon Allis Johnson, a great grandmother serving a life sentence
- 32:03Speaker 1: without an opportunity for parole. Her crime well a first
- 32:07Speaker 1: time non violent drug offense. The President's son in law,
- 32:10Speaker 1: Jared Kushner's father, served time for tax evasion and witness tampering.
- 32:15Speaker 1: As a reminder of those dark days, Jared carried the
- 32:18Speaker 1: wallet his dad crafted in federal prison and wants to
- 32:21Speaker 1: focus on prison reform. And I think Van Jones, Yeah,
- 32:30Speaker 1: I think this happened when he was young Jared's uh
- 32:33Speaker 1: dad certain time when he was a young boy, and
- 32:36Speaker 1: it said served past tense, so time for taxing. Yeah,
- 32:39Speaker 1: we have a lot to do it all. Yeah, I
- 32:42Speaker 1: mean Dared was up there fighting for prisiment for him.
- 32:45Speaker 1: If his daddy was stealing in that would explain it all. Okay.
- 32:51Speaker 1: I think Van Jones from CNN uh is on this
- 32:55Speaker 1: President's panel to to uh talk about prison reform and
- 32:59Speaker 1: all of that, and he got some a little pushback
- 33:01Speaker 1: from it because he's you know, it comes out against
- 33:04Speaker 1: so many of the president's policies, but he says, yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 1: I may be nine against what he's doing up there,
- 33:10Speaker 1: but if this one percent, uh, you know, this prison
- 33:14Speaker 1: reform thing, if we can come together on this one percent,
- 33:17Speaker 1: why not do it? Because it's for the greater good
- 33:19Speaker 1: prison reform. So I absolutely agree with Jones. Look, everybody, listen,
- 33:25Speaker 1: if there's an opportunity to make a change, somebody got
- 33:28Speaker 1: to talk to somebody. You gotta sit down with these people.
- 33:31Speaker 1: You may not agree, now, don't do to him what
- 33:34Speaker 1: you did to me. All these Uncle Tom's and coons
- 33:37Speaker 1: and jiggaboos and spooks and all this here. You ain't
- 33:41Speaker 1: got to do that to the man. The man is
- 33:43Speaker 1: going up there to try to accomplish something for others.
- 33:46Speaker 1: He's not going up there for himself, none of that.
- 33:49Speaker 1: And I applauded Kim Kardashian to Steve, because you know,
- 33:52Speaker 1: she gets a bad rap about not doing anything, not
- 33:55Speaker 1: having any talent and all of that, and here she is,
- 33:58Speaker 1: you know, working for the great, greater good as well.
- 34:01Speaker 1: You know, she's not just about beauty and makeup and
- 34:03Speaker 1: yeah and things like that. She does. Carla, You're right,
- 34:06Speaker 1: she does a lot of philanthropy. She does stuff with
- 34:08Speaker 1: the homeless. She is a very giving person, and you're right, surely, yeah,
- 34:13Speaker 1: she she does. She does a lot of good stuff. Yeah,
- 34:17Speaker 1: you see a lot of it when you if you
- 34:18Speaker 1: watch the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, they talk.
- 34:21Speaker 1: You know, man, you gotta we We've got to be
- 34:23Speaker 1: a little bit more open. Van Jones shouldn't be taking
- 34:26Speaker 1: heat for this. You know, you don't have to vote
- 34:29Speaker 1: for a person to sit and talk with him, right,
- 34:32Speaker 1: and if anybody can handle it, yeah, I went through it. Now.
- 34:35Speaker 1: I wouldn't do it again because the backlash against my
- 34:38Speaker 1: family was too great. Yeah, so you know, it's it's
- 34:42Speaker 1: really sad that I went up there for housing for people,
- 34:45Speaker 1: but they took it a whole another way, like you
- 34:47Speaker 1: staid in there ain't so you know, I learned a
- 34:51Speaker 1: couple of lessons in Yeah, and at least she tried
- 34:53Speaker 1: to do some good. All right, it's time for Missa
- 34:57Speaker 1: and Steve. Oh okay, m why is that a surprise?
- 35:02Speaker 1: Miss Anne Tripp? Thank you, Steve, thank you, Shirley, thanks
- 35:06Speaker 1: everybody out here. This is Andre but the news. Okay, Well,
- 35:09Speaker 1: in the wake of Roseanne bar Is losing her TV
- 35:11Speaker 1: show on ABC over her racist remark about former presidential
- 35:15Speaker 1: advisor Vary Valerie Jarrett and the excuse she gave about
- 35:18Speaker 1: being affected by ambi and well, the people who make
- 35:20Speaker 1: that sleep preparations say that while ambient may have a
- 35:22Speaker 1: side effect, racism isn't one of their side effects. And
- 35:26Speaker 1: if the old saying about the apple not falling far
- 35:28Speaker 1: from the tree is true, well then that falls in
- 35:30Speaker 1: line with the New York Daily News report that says
- 35:33Speaker 1: that Roseanne's oldest son, Jake Peddlin, also uses social media
- 35:36Speaker 1: to spit racist nastiness out against miss Jarrett. By the way,
- 35:40Speaker 1: Roseanne also says she didn't know Jarrett was black. She
- 35:43Speaker 1: says she thought she was Persian, Saudi, or Jewish. Roseanne
- 35:46Speaker 1: also leveled an ape remark at former UN Ambassador Susan
- 35:50Speaker 1: Rice once before, and Susan Rice also is black. Testimony
- 35:53Speaker 1: given in at least one deposition in Colin Kapnet collusion
- 35:56Speaker 1: case against the National Football League shows that the NFL's
- 35:59Speaker 1: recent band on kneeling is more about pleasing President Trump
- 36:02Speaker 1: than respect for the flag. Para Beaton of The Wall
- 36:04Speaker 1: Street Journal says that the Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones
- 36:07Speaker 1: describes a phone call with Donald Trump about the protests
- 36:10Speaker 1: and that the Cowboys owner said the President told him, quote,
- 36:12Speaker 1: this was a very winning and strong issue for me.
- 36:16Speaker 1: And just tell the other owners that they can't win
- 36:18Speaker 1: this one because this one quote lifts me. The reporter
- 36:22Speaker 1: as a while the Trump White House insisted the majority
- 36:24Speaker 1: of Americans agree with the president, a private NFL pole
- 36:28Speaker 1: conducted last year shows that there are fans who supported
- 36:30Speaker 1: or weren't bothered by the protests, as well as fans
- 36:33Speaker 1: who were opposed to them. President Trump, by the way,
- 36:35Speaker 1: addressed a health related issue yesterday legislatively. It has to
- 36:39Speaker 1: do eternally ill people, whom he says should not have
- 36:42Speaker 1: to leave the country to try untested medications that just
- 36:45Speaker 1: could say their lives. Today, I'm proud to keep another
- 36:48Speaker 1: promise to the American people, as I signed the Right
- 36:52Speaker 1: to Try legislation into law now. The measure gives some
- 36:56Speaker 1: people a diagnos with life threatening conditions who have losted governments,
- 37:00Speaker 1: ancient treatment options, the right to try experimental drugs without
- 37:03Speaker 1: needing permission from the Food and Drug Administration. Tropical Storm
- 37:06Speaker 1: Alberto still raining down all over western North Carolina. Between
- 37:09Speaker 1: four and seven inches of rain has come down in
- 37:12Speaker 1: only twenty four hours. So far, four deaths are being
- 37:14Speaker 1: blamed on that storm. A grand jury hasn't died to
- 37:17Speaker 1: former movie mogul Harvey Weinstein charges of first and third
- 37:20Speaker 1: degree rape as well as first degree criminal sexual at.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Kim Kardashan, as you just heard, met with President of
- 37:26Speaker 1: President Trump at the White House yesterday. She was there
- 37:29Speaker 1: to talk about prison reform. They took pictures. She was
- 37:32Speaker 1: he was smiling, she was not. Calling it the Kim
- 37:34Speaker 1: John Bunn Summit and Today's National Health in Find this
- 37:38Speaker 1: day now, I'll be back with entertainment, Today's trending topics
- 37:40Speaker 1: twenty minutes after the hour with the Steve Harvey Warning
- 37:42Speaker 1: Show you're listening to show. Rosanne bar created a firestorm
- 37:49Speaker 1: after calling Valerie Jarrett, a former advisor to President Obama,
- 37:53Speaker 1: a child of the Muslim Brotherhood and planet of the Apes.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Jarrett appeared to take the high road as she spoke
- 37:59Speaker 1: on m s NBC's Everyday Racism in America town Hall
- 38:03Speaker 1: meeting and address Roseanne's tweet and the larger issue take
- 38:07Speaker 1: a listen. Well, first of all, I think we have
- 38:09Speaker 1: to turn it into a teaching moment. I'm fine. I'm
- 38:12Speaker 1: worried about all the people out there who don't have
- 38:14Speaker 1: a circle of friends and followers who come right to
- 38:17Speaker 1: their defense nice I like she did. Come on, well,
- 38:27Speaker 1: I thank god for her. I thank god for Michelle Obama,
- 38:32Speaker 1: who uses the term take the high road. Hold me on, mona, yeah,
- 38:40Speaker 1: anything else, you ain't one of my friends. The hell
- 38:46Speaker 1: that I'm on leash on you is not gonna be
- 38:49Speaker 1: from the high road. It's going to be a road
- 38:51Speaker 1: to get quicker to you all were talking about, and
- 38:54Speaker 1: you know what I'm talking about. And I mean, you know,
- 38:56Speaker 1: you know, you know, look once you called me a
- 38:58Speaker 1: monkey ape and all this here's now now now we
- 39:01Speaker 1: just offened. You know, I gotta get the middle thing out.
- 39:04Speaker 1: We're gonna start here. I'm taking to one on one.
- 39:07Speaker 1: But Rose Roseenne claims she didn't even know Valerie Jarrett
- 39:11Speaker 1: was black. Come on, come on, lady, come on stop please? Okay,
- 39:18Speaker 1: what was the plane of the eight comment for exactly?
- 39:24Speaker 1: I guess it was the man I was watching I
- 39:26Speaker 1: was looking on CNN. Roseanne has had a rash of things,
- 39:32Speaker 1: uh that she's done, that's been like really really crazy man.
- 39:37Speaker 1: A lot of comments, racism comments and things like conspiracy theories.
- 39:42Speaker 1: And she did those. She did those Hitler Bacon delut
- 39:49Speaker 1: j Yeah, the human cookies. Yeah, when she was she
- 39:52Speaker 1: was putting them in the oven, dressed up in putting
- 39:55Speaker 1: the little juw cookies in the oven. I mean, man,
- 39:58Speaker 1: are you are you kid? Is this funny? Just to joke?
- 40:04Speaker 1: But it's not as old privileged person. See rose and
- 40:11Speaker 1: grew up poor, but when she got her money, she forgot.
- 40:16Speaker 1: And that's what happened. Man. When people change their humor
- 40:18Speaker 1: like that, when they change their humor like that, it's
- 40:21Speaker 1: because they forgot what they're from then, the privileged group now,
- 40:24Speaker 1: so now they're doing privileged comedy. See, that's why you'll
- 40:27Speaker 1: never get You'll never be able to get to Donald
- 40:30Speaker 1: Trump because in his privileged world that he grew up in,
- 40:35Speaker 1: it doesn't include any of us. It doesn't so he
- 40:39Speaker 1: doesn't get the disheartened and the hurt and the pain.
- 40:42Speaker 1: He no, he don't know. We'll be right back, y'all.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Thank you very good, you're listening to. Well, we have
- 40:52Speaker 1: to address something that's going around. Uh, we need to
- 40:56Speaker 1: talk about it. It's it's involving one of our co
- 40:59Speaker 1: hosts the show here spades. Yeah, we call him Junior,
- 41:04Speaker 1: of course, And well, Steve, you want to talk about it. Uh,
- 41:09Speaker 1: this is so hard for us because Uh, okay, go ahead.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Junior had a loss in his life. His assistant and
- 41:18Speaker 1: best friend, uh Brian Cook, passed in his sleep the
- 41:26Speaker 1: other night while out on the road with Junior. They
- 41:30Speaker 1: were doing some business out on the road. Or the
- 41:33Speaker 1: young man, uh, a brilliant young guy, really sweetheart over
- 41:37Speaker 1: human beings. He died. He passed away in his sleep,
- 41:43Speaker 1: and um, Junior was there. And so a lot of
- 41:47Speaker 1: people have gotten the information completely wrong because when they
- 41:53Speaker 1: did the story on TMZ, they put my picture up.
- 41:57Speaker 1: Of course, Steve Harvey employee dot found dead in a
- 42:04Speaker 1: hotel room. Okay, let's let's just straighten some stuff out
- 42:08Speaker 1: and and Junior, let me just correct one thing. Junior
- 42:11Speaker 1: wasn't there when he passed away. He was. Junior was
- 42:16Speaker 1: in his own room. He passed during the night. Junior
- 42:19Speaker 1: had nothing to do with it. He's taking it really hard.
- 42:23Speaker 1: The young man, this is his friend, he lost him.
- 42:26Speaker 1: He's taking it real hard. People are attacking him. It's
- 42:30Speaker 1: unfair it's also unfair. TMZ is usually a little bit
- 42:34Speaker 1: better than this, but you don't have I know you're
- 42:37Speaker 1: trying to draw eyeballs, but man, we gotta be a
- 42:39Speaker 1: little bit more sensitive to people who are suffering losses.
- 42:42Speaker 1: This young man had a father, a mother, brothers and sisters, nephews, nieces.
- 42:50Speaker 1: He was well loved by his family. He was doing
- 42:53Speaker 1: something he loved to do. That's what we should be
- 42:56Speaker 1: to put my picture up to make it look like
- 42:59Speaker 1: I had. He was. He wasn't an employee of mine.
- 43:02Speaker 1: He didn't work for the TV station or the radio station,
- 43:05Speaker 1: but did but he was Kiars assistant. And they're thinking
- 43:09Speaker 1: kier pass. They're thinking Junior. Junior didn't pass. See me
- 43:12Speaker 1: that look mad, y'all just reads. But you know, but
- 43:15Speaker 1: if Junior didn't die, Junior is off today because he's
- 43:19Speaker 1: coping with the loss of his good friends. I mean,
- 43:22Speaker 1: he's hurting, man, and that's nothing we could do about that.
- 43:25Speaker 1: But listen, I'll speak more about him later on. But
- 43:29Speaker 1: Brian Cook was a fine, fine, young, fine young man.
- 43:34Speaker 1: We all loved him. He we got along with everybody.
- 43:37Speaker 1: He was most helpful. If you needed anything, he got it.
- 43:40Speaker 1: He never asked for nothing. Just a great, great, great
- 43:44Speaker 1: young man. He passed. He was Kiars assistant. He did
- 43:52Speaker 1: not work for the radio station. He did not work
- 43:54Speaker 1: for the TV station. And I understand social media's ideas
- 43:59Speaker 1: to get balls, but that's one of the reasons I
- 44:03Speaker 1: didn't go down to the hotel to be with Junior,
- 44:06Speaker 1: because I knew that my presence down there would turn
- 44:08Speaker 1: the story into something else. But were not even going.
- 44:12Speaker 1: They've released the story with my picture on it. Steve
- 44:15Speaker 1: Harvey's employee found dead in hotel room and man, just
- 44:20Speaker 1: out of respect, y'all, just respect for this young man
- 44:24Speaker 1: and his family. Could we just tell the truth. That's all,
- 44:29Speaker 1: just the truth. And we're grieving too. I mean, you
- 44:32Speaker 1: know it's it meant something to us, Brian meant something
- 44:35Speaker 1: to us as well. You know, yeah, he was family. Yeah. So,
- 44:42Speaker 1: um that's the real story. Uh. You know, you don't
- 44:46Speaker 1: have to go anywhere else to hear what happened. That
- 44:49Speaker 1: is the real story. What happened. We know we were
- 44:52Speaker 1: I mean, we weren't there, but we know Junior uh
- 44:55Speaker 1: here and um, so we have the information. This other
- 44:58Speaker 1: stuff that's out there about it being Steve Harvey's employee.
- 45:02Speaker 1: That's just misinformation. It's just wrong. But man, just just
- 45:06Speaker 1: out of respect, just respect that now as some people
- 45:10Speaker 1: really hurting behind this, I mean really really hurting behind this,
- 45:15Speaker 1: and they deserve not to have to hear hear say
- 45:19Speaker 1: your opinion just because you want to draw some of
- 45:21Speaker 1: my eyeballs. That is a mother and a father who
- 45:25Speaker 1: have lost a son. Man, can we just be respectful
- 45:29Speaker 1: of that and not print stuff just because you want
- 45:32Speaker 1: to get views? All right? Um, well, we hope that
- 45:36Speaker 1: clears it up for a lot of you guys out there,
- 45:40Speaker 1: and we'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey
- 45:42Speaker 1: Morning Show right after this. You're listening to the Steve
- 45:45Speaker 1: Harvey Show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Right about four minutes after, it's today's Strawberry Letter, subject
- 45:53Speaker 1: to my boyfriend and boss are about to brawl. Yeah,
- 45:58Speaker 1: my boyfriend and boss about to brawl. But right now
- 46:02Speaker 1: it is time for the Nephew, the King of Pranks,
- 46:04Speaker 1: with today's prank phone call. What you got You ain't married? Huh,
- 46:09Speaker 1: you ain't married. I'm just like you ain't married. Watch
- 46:17Speaker 1: me work running cat. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach Brian. Yeah,
- 46:23Speaker 1: how are you doing, Brian. My name is Daniel. Uh
- 46:26Speaker 1: wanted to give you a call today. You got a minute? Yeah, okay, listen,
- 46:31Speaker 1: um you're you're Brian, Um, Brian, right, you're married to
- 46:35Speaker 1: uh Alpea. Yeah. Hello, Hello, yeah, yeah, that's that's me.
- 46:40Speaker 1: That's my wife's Yeah, okay, I got a question for you. Hello.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Have you guys been married? Going on nine years? Now?
- 46:47Speaker 1: We've been married? Now? Who is there? My name is Daniel.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Were you m Were you guys married a Greater New
- 46:55Speaker 1: Missionary Baptist church? Let me see? Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's
- 47:00Speaker 1: the name of that church. Yeah, that's right. Why what's
- 47:04Speaker 1: going on? What's asked me on these questions? Okay? Do
- 47:07Speaker 1: you remember the minister that officiated your actual wedding ceremony? Yeah? Uh,
- 47:15Speaker 1: reverend right, Okay, I got the right person. I wanted
- 47:18Speaker 1: to make sure I had the right person, Brian. So
- 47:21Speaker 1: I'm I'm sorry if it seemed a little weird to you.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Here's here's what's going on. We've just come up with
- 47:27Speaker 1: a new discovery a lot of information that Reverend none
- 47:32Speaker 1: of his credentials are true. Everything is false. He's not
- 47:36Speaker 1: a minister at all, He never was a minister. And
- 47:40Speaker 1: every single wedding ceremony that he officiated is basically null
- 47:46Speaker 1: and void. So and I hate to be the bearer
- 47:49Speaker 1: bad news, but you and Alphia, even though you think
- 47:53Speaker 1: you've been married for nine years, you guys are not married. No, no, no,
- 47:58Speaker 1: not that you got at the wrong person, because man,
- 48:01Speaker 1: that then we got we got married by nine years ago.
- 48:04Speaker 1: And what I'm telling you is he he never was ordained.
- 48:12Speaker 1: He's never been an ordained minister. He's not a minister
- 48:15Speaker 1: at all. So when he performed this ceremony, your wedding ceremony,
- 48:19Speaker 1: he had no right to be doing that. You guys
- 48:22Speaker 1: are not are not married. You know, you guys have
- 48:25Speaker 1: been living in sin for nine years. Hold on, hold
- 48:28Speaker 1: hold on that. Let me tell you something I ain't
- 48:29Speaker 1: been living. Man and my wife we have been married
- 48:32Speaker 1: for nine years. And that man, he's a preacher. I'm
- 48:35Speaker 1: telling he's a preacher funded sir as of today, he is.
- 48:40Speaker 1: He has no right to be in anybody's pulpit. He
- 48:43Speaker 1: has no right to be officiating, whether it's weddings or funerals,
- 48:46Speaker 1: no matter what it is, christenings for children. He's not
- 48:50Speaker 1: allowed to do that. And we have officially stopped him
- 48:53Speaker 1: from doing anything serving under as being a pastor or
- 48:58Speaker 1: a minister. We have stopped that. But what I want
- 49:00Speaker 1: you to know is that you have been living in
- 49:03Speaker 1: sin and you don't you get that. We want to
- 49:05Speaker 1: try and get you guys married as soon as possible,
- 49:08Speaker 1: so you're not living in sin. Oh, no, doc, I
- 49:11Speaker 1: ain't been living in no sin. I have been married
- 49:14Speaker 1: for nine years. This woman ship been taking care of
- 49:16Speaker 1: me and my kids for the past nine Wait. Wait
- 49:19Speaker 1: a minute, Wait a minute, guy. You guys have children. Yeah, yeah,
- 49:23Speaker 1: we got to two kids, two beautiful kids. Okay, then
- 49:26Speaker 1: those kids are bastards, stastards. Let me tell you something.
- 49:29Speaker 1: My kids ain't no bastard. What about your kids? Your
- 49:31Speaker 1: kids on bastood? No, sir, my kids, my kids were
- 49:34Speaker 1: born in wedlock. Your kids have been born out wedlocks.
- 49:38Speaker 1: I'm telling you that man did my service and he
- 49:42Speaker 1: is a preacher. He's a man after God's own heart himself.
- 49:46Speaker 1: He hasn't done everything that that he come for me
- 49:48Speaker 1: and my family. He is a preacher, sir. I don't.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I know it's hard for you to to to swallow
- 49:54Speaker 1: the truth, but I want you to know, and I
- 49:56Speaker 1: need you to be able to tell Alfia that you
- 49:57Speaker 1: guys are not married and not as of right now. No, no, okay,
- 50:02Speaker 1: so holder hud Now back in the olden days, but
- 50:06Speaker 1: before all these all these colleges and stuff came came about.
- 50:09Speaker 1: You telling me that their men making old days, that
- 50:11Speaker 1: they weren't no preachers, that they weren't meant men after
- 50:14Speaker 1: the clough? Is that what you're saying to me? Uh?
- 50:17Speaker 1: What what? What are you? What are you? What are you?
- 50:19Speaker 1: What are you getting at? Sir? What I'm trying to
- 50:21Speaker 1: say is back in the older day, baking the twinteres
- 50:23Speaker 1: and thirties, they didn't have all these colleges and all
- 50:25Speaker 1: these degrees and stuff like these new preachers got these
- 50:28Speaker 1: days that man now he was from back then, and
- 50:31Speaker 1: God called them and that's what they went on too.
- 50:34Speaker 1: And all them people that they married back then, they
- 50:36Speaker 1: did the same thing to day. You don't need no
- 50:39Speaker 1: degree to say that that you're a preacher. You don't
- 50:40Speaker 1: need no lights to say you're a preacher. Man. My
- 50:43Speaker 1: wife would be maried for nine years. My kids have
- 50:45Speaker 1: been born in wedlocks. We were married, we were mad,
- 50:49Speaker 1: I read my friends and family. Day was all there. Sure.
- 50:53Speaker 1: The bottom line is that that you have been living
- 50:55Speaker 1: in sin because you have not been married with your
- 50:58Speaker 1: wife for the last nine years. And your kids, I
- 51:01Speaker 1: hate to say it, your kids are bastards. Now. Oh now,
- 51:04Speaker 1: I've told you, don't say nothing else about my kids,
- 51:07Speaker 1: and I ain't no cuss up. But don't push me.
- 51:10Speaker 1: My kids ain't no Badsis you understand me? You don't
- 51:13Speaker 1: get me up, Sir. I'm trying to give you the
- 51:14Speaker 1: truth and try to get you in here and get
- 51:16Speaker 1: you married so you will not be living in sin
- 51:18Speaker 1: any more than what you are. I'm living in no sins.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Look now, you don't make me whoop your a s
- 51:25Speaker 1: s You understand men and no wife. We have been
- 51:27Speaker 1: married for nine years. Don't shoot up here, come me
- 51:31Speaker 1: talking about the way. Ain't met that that man. Ain't
- 51:32Speaker 1: no fature. You're understand I get out of my phone.
- 51:36Speaker 1: But you that's my life. Those are my kids. They
- 51:39Speaker 1: have been born in red lives. You understand sir. So
- 51:42Speaker 1: I just wanted to call and give you the information
- 51:45Speaker 1: so that you could probably stop living in sin. That's
- 51:47Speaker 1: all I wanted to do. I ain't living in no sin,
- 51:49Speaker 1: That's what I just told you you ain't hear me.
- 51:51Speaker 1: I ain't living a no sin. Maybe you're the one
- 51:53Speaker 1: that's living up in some sin. Now you ain't got
- 51:55Speaker 1: nothing that said to me that man and man that's
- 51:57Speaker 1: nine years ago. They get your a s is on
- 52:00Speaker 1: my phone. So I so I have one more thing,
- 52:03Speaker 1: one more thing I'd like to say, nothing else to
- 52:05Speaker 1: say to me. You ain't get your ass off my
- 52:08Speaker 1: d am phone. Do you understand me? I ain't got
- 52:11Speaker 1: time for this, sir? Could I say one more thing?
- 52:14Speaker 1: What you gotta say on me now? Because I just
- 52:16Speaker 1: wanted to let you know that this is nephew Timmy
- 52:19Speaker 1: from the Steve Harping Morning Show. Your wife and feel
- 52:22Speaker 1: got me to prank phone call you. Oh man, oh
- 52:29Speaker 1: lord it do hea? Uh? I almost went in on
- 52:34Speaker 1: your down you would let me go down? Yeah, I'm
- 52:36Speaker 1: gonna get at this. He put you up to this
- 52:39Speaker 1: got me to prank you man, while man, oh man,
- 52:44Speaker 1: hey man, you all right with me? Brother? I got
- 52:46Speaker 1: to ask you something, man, what is the baddest and
- 52:48Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio show in the lands, the
- 52:51Speaker 1: Steve Harper More on the show Man you stupid? Get
- 52:58Speaker 1: him Steve? Because this know something now come on. You
- 53:01Speaker 1: know some pastors ain't really past us, you know, but
- 53:05Speaker 1: they'd be marrying people. You know that be going. That
- 53:07Speaker 1: happens a lot. You know. They just then called themselves
- 53:10Speaker 1: a minister and they are minister and that's not high work. Nine.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Then you know you gotta you know, you gotta shake
- 53:16Speaker 1: your folks up every nine and I just shake up.
- 53:18Speaker 1: That's all it is. Okay, keep on. This is pranking.
- 53:23Speaker 1: This is pranking at its best. Oh yeah, you're the
- 53:25Speaker 1: king of it. Every nine, then you got to shake
- 53:27Speaker 1: some folks up. I got a new little list I'm
- 53:30Speaker 1: working on and we're going forward. Who is it? You
- 53:38Speaker 1: ain't even ask me? You already and then asked, I
- 53:43Speaker 1: love that. You knew he was gonna say, yeah, alright, alright,
- 53:52Speaker 1: let me put this out there. Shot Barkley is on
- 53:55Speaker 1: my list, Charles, Charles Barkley is on my list. Trying
- 54:00Speaker 1: to pull it off during this time of the finals,
- 54:04Speaker 1: you know, Cavaliers playing Gold of State. If I could
- 54:07Speaker 1: put it off in there, I'm gonna make it happen.
- 54:10Speaker 1: You're saying the time for pranking right now here? What
- 54:13Speaker 1: you say? Because we need to be in prayer, sending
- 54:20Speaker 1: up here trying to prank child need him? Hey what what? Okay?
- 54:24Speaker 1: Hold on, if I frank lebron, do you think he'll
- 54:27Speaker 1: play better? It might have got time for you with
- 54:30Speaker 1: this foolishness trying to win a title out here, boy, Steve,
- 54:34Speaker 1: don't get mad. You need your energy to be positive. Okay, listen,
- 54:44Speaker 1: Coming up next, it is today's Strawberry Letter. The subject
- 54:48Speaker 1: my boyfriend and boss are about to brawl. My boyfriend
- 54:52Speaker 1: and boss are about to brawl. That's up next. We'll
- 54:55Speaker 1: be back. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay,
- 55:00Speaker 1: right now, it is time for today's Strawberry Letter. And
- 55:02Speaker 1: if you need some advice on relationships, on dating, on work,
- 55:06Speaker 1: on sex, on parenting, and more, all you have to
- 55:09Speaker 1: do is submit your Strawberry letter to Steve Harvey f
- 55:12Speaker 1: M dot com and click submit Strawberry Letter, right Steve,
- 55:16Speaker 1: tell him just like she said, and it's right. Ain't
- 55:23Speaker 1: nobody playing with y'all? Hey, I love when you put
- 55:28Speaker 1: your two cents in there. Good? Yeah, sounds good. All right,
- 55:33Speaker 1: let's get to it. Buckle up, hold on tight, we
- 55:35Speaker 1: got it for you here. It is just straw Thank
- 55:38Speaker 1: you enough you subject my boyfriend and boss are about
- 55:42Speaker 1: to brawl. Here's Steven Shirley. I recently got a great
- 55:46Speaker 1: government job. I love my new job and I make
- 55:50Speaker 1: really good money. But I'm having a big problem with
- 55:53Speaker 1: my new boss. My boss calls my cell phone at
- 55:56Speaker 1: night and on the weekend, and he sends me text
- 55:59Speaker 1: messages of a sexual nature. He pops by my office
- 56:03Speaker 1: daily and says all types of perverted things to me.
- 56:06Speaker 1: I've told him that his comments are offensive and that
- 56:09Speaker 1: he's out of line with his sexual advances. I told
- 56:13Speaker 1: him that um, I live with my boyfriend and that
- 56:17Speaker 1: my boyfriend has seen his text messages. It's as if
- 56:20Speaker 1: my boss doesn't care because he continues to act inappropriately.
- 56:24Speaker 1: My boyfriend wants to confront him, but I begged him
- 56:27Speaker 1: not to because I love and need my new job.
- 56:31Speaker 1: I have stopped telling my boyfriend because he gets so
- 56:33Speaker 1: mad that I'm afraid he might pop up at my
- 56:36Speaker 1: job one day. My boyfriend now thinks I have something
- 56:39Speaker 1: to hide since I won't let him confront my boss.
- 56:42Speaker 1: I'm afraid of reporting my boss because I feel like
- 56:45Speaker 1: once I do, it will be living It will be
- 56:47Speaker 1: a living hell for me at work. I know I
- 56:50Speaker 1: can't be the first woman or the only woman. He's
- 56:52Speaker 1: done this too. By the way, my boss is the
- 56:55Speaker 1: director of human resources, so who's going to check him? Yeah?
- 57:00Speaker 1: How should I handle this? Please? Help? Well? Um? Wow,
- 57:04Speaker 1: Like Steve said, I was going to tell you to
- 57:05Speaker 1: go to human resources human resources immediately, But since he's
- 57:09Speaker 1: the head of the uh the human resources department, what
- 57:13Speaker 1: good will that do? But surely there's someone above him.
- 57:16Speaker 1: There's an owner, there's a CEO, there's someone you can
- 57:19Speaker 1: confide in and let them know what's going on. You
- 57:22Speaker 1: cannot uh continually deal with this. I mean to think
- 57:26Speaker 1: that he would even be doing this in the middle
- 57:29Speaker 1: of the Me too movement. I mean, doesn't he read
- 57:32Speaker 1: the papers? Doesn't he watch TV? That is so major
- 57:35Speaker 1: that's going on right now. Finally women have started to
- 57:38Speaker 1: come forth. They have the courage after years of suffering
- 57:41Speaker 1: and being disrespected on the job between lecturers boss by
- 57:45Speaker 1: lecturer's bosses like him to speak out. Uh you know this,
- 57:49Speaker 1: it's men like him that are keeping this movement alive.
- 57:52Speaker 1: It's not going anywhere. I get that you love your
- 57:55Speaker 1: job and you want to keep it. You make good
- 57:57Speaker 1: money and all that. It's a good government job. But
- 58:00Speaker 1: his behavior has to be stopped. You have to report
- 58:03Speaker 1: him to someone and something has to be done. Uh,
- 58:07Speaker 1: he can't be the director of human resources and act
- 58:10Speaker 1: like this. I mean, this is ridiculous. Who owns you, well,
- 58:13Speaker 1: who owns your company? You work for a government, you
- 58:16Speaker 1: have a government job, But surely your boss has a boss.
- 58:19Speaker 1: So I would go talk to him. I would try
- 58:22Speaker 1: and talk to some of the other females that work
- 58:25Speaker 1: there and see if this has happened to them, maybe
- 58:27Speaker 1: presently or in the past, and you know, see if
- 58:30Speaker 1: you can get support support behind you to deal with
- 58:33Speaker 1: this situation, because this has to be stopped. In as
- 58:36Speaker 1: far as your boyfriend goes, I would tell him what's
- 58:39Speaker 1: going on. I would not keep it from him. Steve, Well,
- 58:46Speaker 1: it's an interesting way to approach this letter. My boyfriend
- 58:51Speaker 1: and boss are about to brawl. See, your boss calls
- 58:55Speaker 1: your cell phone at night and on weekends. He sent
- 58:59Speaker 1: me texas of a sexual nature, pops by my office daily,
- 59:03Speaker 1: says all types of perverted things to me. I've told
- 59:06Speaker 1: him his comments are offensive and he's out of line
- 59:09Speaker 1: with his sexual advances. I told him I live with
- 59:12Speaker 1: my boyfriend and my boyfriend has seen his Texas and
- 59:15Speaker 1: it's as if my boss doesn't care because he continues
- 59:18Speaker 1: to act inappropriate. First of all, you can take all
- 59:21Speaker 1: these texts, all your phone calls logs. The HR department
- 59:27Speaker 1: is a separate department. I assume I haven't had one
- 59:29Speaker 1: of those jobs in a long time, but HR on
- 59:32Speaker 1: my jobs is a separate department. Someone is the boss
- 59:36Speaker 1: in that department that's separate and away from the HR department.
- 59:42Speaker 1: You have to report this or else she's gonna live
- 59:48Speaker 1: like so many people. So many women are forced to
- 59:51Speaker 1: live in fear of losing their job, threatening, uncomfortable work atmosphere.
- 59:57Speaker 1: He comes to man just because he want to say
- 59:59Speaker 1: something to you. He thinks he can. Now nobody wants
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: to go to work like that. Now, you don't want
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: your boyfriend to say nothing because you need your job.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: But your boyfriend he getting mad. He want to talk
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: to the dude. So now, in a short response to
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: your letter, you say, it's as if my boss doesn't care.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: I say, let your boyfriend go down. Now, come on,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: we have to help him care. Yeah. Yeah, see that's
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: what's wrong right here. Your boss, he doesn't seem to care.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Your boyfriend can help him care and I and I
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: and I think that's gonna have to happen any retaliation
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: from losing your job. You have all these texts, you
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: have a call log. All these calls on the weekend inappropriate.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: You know what you should start doing. You should start
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: recording him on your cell phone when he comes in
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: the office, say hold on one second, let me get
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: off his call, and then press your record device and
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: set it down on the piece of paper and just
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: let him go and choke herself, because that's what he's
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: gonna do. But you can stop this. You have the
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: text messages, you have the phone calls he's made to you,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: You have your asking him to stop. You don't need
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: to have proof that you've asked him to stop. The
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: fact that he's calling you already is inappropriate, and he's
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: in the supervisory capacity. It's just inappropriate. So now you
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: have all evidence. But I got you don't want to
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: lose your job, but you're gonna mess what I lose
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: your man, and continue to go to work on the
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: job where you're being in a in essence harassed. Yeah,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I think you should take the copies of all these things,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: keep a recket of everything. Next time you see him
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: come in your office, act like you're grabbing your cell phone,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: say hold on, press your record. But yeah, and then
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: let's get the pop in that ass. Uh and let
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: your for a friend talked to him. Yeah, can you
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: come up there and work on and do I will see,
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: but I can't tell other people do that because I'm
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: gonna do it though. See what you're not gonna do
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: to be talking to my girl crazy? Yeah, this this
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: is definitely a form of harassment for sure, and she
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: definitely she needs to report it. Yeah, you know me,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: I don't got this website. Ride down there dot com
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: telling you man, and uh, we just ride down there
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: and handle it for yourself to open. You know, we're
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: just small feet. All right, Well, listen, we're gonna have
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: part two of your response to this Strawberry letter at
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: twenty three after the hours, subject my boyfriend and boss
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: are about to brawl Right after this you're listening to,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: all right, Steve, come on with part two of your
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: response to today's Strawberry Letters subject my boyfriend and boss
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: are about to brawl. Let's recap because this woman has
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: his boss this in HR department who calls her cell
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: phone at night on on weekends since text messages of
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: the sexual nature pops to my mofice daily, says all
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: types of perverted things to me. I've told him his
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: comments are offens him. He's out of line with the
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: sexual advances that you have told him. You live with
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: your boyfriend. Your boyfriend seen this, Texas. But it's as
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: if my boss doesn't care because he continues to act
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: in approgram. The solution I have come up with at
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: the end of the day is very simple. You have
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: to let your boyfriend go down there so that your
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: boyfriend so we can help him care. Wait, wait, you
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: know this. I don't care. He needs help with his caring. Yeah,
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: he doesn't care, and we need help to start caring. Huh.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: When he's sending this sexual stuff on his phone, can
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: I take her phone and send him a little something back? Yes, yeah,
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: you here my pitch. Yeah. Hello, oh we're showing parts.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: We'll check me out. We got parts, just me. We're
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: sending this little thing over here. Put right down there
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: dot com. Yeah we do at the office. We do that,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: you know, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah, see, we do stuff
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: to help you. She needs to let him know stop
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: not telling him and keep him informed. But you got
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: to report this to his superior he has. Yeah, your
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: job gonna be living hell. But ain't it living hell? Now? Yeah?
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: This is crazy, and you are right. This is not
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: the first time he's done. Now, I would be careful
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: about spreading it around the office because somebody might be
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: in with him and take it to him m hm,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: and they can start planning stuff to help get rid
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: of you another way. So I don't think you need that.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: You don't need a lot of help. All you gotta
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: do is be the one with the facts, the text,
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: the inappropriate sexual nature of the text, and reported he
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: ain't gonna be able to show none. And you're responding
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: back to him in a sexual way of making any advances.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: So he's at fault and he'll have to go ABC.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Just five rose And to my utter shock in this way,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: I couldn't believe it. Yeah, I didn't think they would.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: I really didn't think that. Well they did that, did it? Yeah,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: didn't got serious. Now you know there's a black woman
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: that's ahead of ABC, Channing Dungee. I think it's her name,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Channing Dungee. Heard she's really good. Yeah, And then Disney
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: who owns NBC ABC Factor. But did you ever hear
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: the president's tweet and respond? Yeah, because the lot of
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: people were waiting to hear what he had to say,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: and this is what he tweeted. Bob Iger of ABC
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that ABC does
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: not tolerate comments like those made by Rosanne Barr. G
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: this is a president's tweet, now. Gee. He never called
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the horrible statements
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: didn't get the call. This is not about you. Yes,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Why does he always make it about him? Gee? I
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: didn't get a call. He never says anything of value
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: to help this country. He'll began even a Memorial Day,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: you know, when it's we're supposed to honor our fallen
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: soldiers who fought for our freedom and everything. He made
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: that about him by talking about you know, the economy
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: and the jobs and and in all of this. It's
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: like he said, they would be so happy to know
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: how the country is doing right now with the you know,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: the job increase in all of this and the economy
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: doing well. What come on, you make everything about you?
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Stop you work for the people, sir, for the American people,
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: not just a small group that voted for you. You're
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: the president of all people. He's sure doing that. I'll
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: tell you that. Yeah, you know, he just he doesn't
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: get the role of president. He doesn't understand the full
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: responsibility of it, and he never will. He's not going
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: to give it. President of the United States is of
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: a privileged background. He has never been poor. He has
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: never served anyone in any capacity. He ain't passed out
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: a bowl of soup for the homeless. He has done
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: no groundwork. He ain't no houses for the underprivileged, nothing.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: He's never been under privileged. He has no Black friends,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: he has no Latino friends, he has no Asian friends, none.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: They were never in his circle. He has proven it
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: by his cabinet. It is the most white male dominated
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: cabinet in so many years. He should not be the president.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: You know, a lot of people think he's going to
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: when the next election. I don't. I don't want to
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: think like that. Well, here's what has to happen if
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: the Democrats do not prepare a candidate and spend this
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: whole four years doing what the Republicans did, trying to
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: destroy Obama and then they looked up and they had
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: no candidate, and now we have this man in the
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: White House. The Democrats are doing, in essence the same thing.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: And I don't see any viable Democratic candidate on the horizon.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: I don't see nobody unless Joe Biden run. That'll do it.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: They are going to play the chess match, and it
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: is all about the electoral vote. We're so busy pushing
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: and pushing the vote, vote, vote, vote vote. While they
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: was in the background getting the electorial key the musicians
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: where they could get the number. Yeah, they're gonna get Alabama.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: They don't get Georgia. They're gonna get Louisiana, Mississippi, they're
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: gonna get that. But they went up in there getting
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: the Carolinas in Pennsylvania and Michigan, stuff that they never
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: would have been Wisconsin. But then and Henry Mate, let
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: me just tell you the mistakes, she mate, I'll tell
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: consin all right, we'll be back with more of this
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. We gotta talk
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Cleveland Cavaliers to Steve. Right after this. You're listening to
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, guys, while the Cleveland
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors are in the NBA Finals.
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: Everybody knows that, right, Well, Las Vegas doesn't think what
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: Steve I didn't say nothing. Now with Thomas, I'm just
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: prayers Rockets ain't in there. I'm just right, I'm I'm
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: pushing for Cleveland. Now come on, okay, all right, Well,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Las Vegas doesn't think they're uh, they're created equal at all.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: They don't think they're even close. Early odds being offered
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: at sports books have the Cavaliers as huge underdog Steve
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: huge underdog motor, with the point spread for Game one
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: on Thursday tonight as large as any we've seen in
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: about twenty years, they're saying twenty five years. As for
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: the series, the odds are also lopsided. The Warriors right
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: now are ten to one favorites to win the championship.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Uh So, time for sports talk with UNC and nef Show.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Let's talk Vegas for him, Like, show me how to
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: make some vets that I you know, if I want
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: to bet on Cleveland, I want to bet on something
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: that's a long shot that if it happened, I'm a
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: win b Cleveland. Cleveland is a long shot any odds huge?
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: That's like, I just need to know what the odds is?
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: What first first game? Tender? Why are you doing English
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: class right now? Because it's appropriated trying to talk about money? Not.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: Nobody got no time for you telling the point to
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: how we talk. The Warriors right now are ten to
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: one favorite and the Cavaliers you ten dollars. Okay, So
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: let's say I put five hundred on the first game.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I'm looking at five k. Now he can add it's
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: money share they I'm trying to make sure I'm right now, Okay,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: would you? Would you bet anything? Up? I bet a
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: thousand dollars on the Cal? Okay, maybe two? Now? How
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: do I do that? If I want to bet? The
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: reason I don't bet is I don't like the anxiety. Yeah,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: because you sound like you have it right now. You
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: know I can't watch the game and have to win
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: get my money back. But what is a thousand dollars
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: to you? Steep? Really? If you're losing it and know
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: you're gonna lose, boy, it's my everything. I'm doing it.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: I'm aa bet. I'm a bet five hunted on the
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Cal's first game, Okay, When I really should bet on
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: the third game because they'll be at home. That's probably
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: my best bet. Well, is it is? It is? It
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: tend to one on every game now. Just for the
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: point spread on game one on Thursday, it's as large
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: as we've ever seen it in twenty five years. It's saying, oh,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: you say this is a ten point spread, not tend
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: to one. As for the series, the odds are also
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: lopside at the Warriors right now are tender one favorites
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: to win the championship. Yeah, the championship. So what you're
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: gonna do, Tommy? All Right, I'm putting five hunt on
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: the first game, and then if I lose that, I'm
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: gonna put another five on the third game and hopefully
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: Braun Bron getting my money back. Yeah you mean out
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: of his pockets his pocket. But I'm just saying, if
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: he win that third game and the odds are still
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: the same, then I still come up game. Yeah. So
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: is it just pretty much understood we're gonna lose tonight
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: And that's what you're saying, Steve Listen, No, I was yawning.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: Hell you time, You're not allowed to yawn do this
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: every morning? T Tidy Cavaliers go through this anxiety. I'm
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: tired of cat talking about Kobe. It's time, man, Hey listen.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Our girl, Cheryl Underwood is on the line from the Talk.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Let's talk to her. Sheryl Underwood. Hey, Cheryl, I gotta
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: go with the Cavaliers. Bron Bron. You gotta go Bron Bron.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: What the reason I got to go to Cavaliz Because
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: I've done a lot of creeping in Cleveland. Tell it.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: I like to shout out of everybody at the Togo
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: every man that I bought a suit out of Mr Albert's,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: the Millennium and top of the flats. You don't sleep Cleveland.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: Love is the best love you could get, especially in
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: the cold. Yeah, he was a little depressed morning. Why
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: because it's a Cavaliers. He goods anxiety during this time
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: of years listening. A lot of people are not gonna
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: like me for saying this, but they need to go
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: and start playing like the Pistons. They need to bust
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: people in the mouth like Lamb bearing them used to do.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Stop being amazed by everything that the Warriors do. I
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: know they're a good team. I know they got a
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: good work at it and everything, but sometimes you got
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: the man up. You got to bust people to face.
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: You gotta take the job. You got to did I
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: get emotional check checking with the elbows? You can't do that? Well,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: I mean, what you're gonna do when you're losing? You
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: got to cheat. I'm a Republican, I'm a cheating for
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: years and sure, what what about this whole Rosanne Bard thing?
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: But yeah, it works next to you on the talk
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: right good, you're talking about Sarah Gilbert with Sarah Gilbert
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: put she didn't like it. She put it out down
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: on the Twitter that she didn't like what she said.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: You know, so listen to me. I'm gonna tell you
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: who I'm proud of. Who Tony Dungee Baby. That that
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: lit them up? Now? Does she worked over at ABC?
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Channing Dungee. Uh, yeah, that's Tony Dungee baby right there,
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: she's been raised right, what's her name, Chaneil Dungeyes, Shanning. Okay,
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: then over they got a good job at ABC. She said,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: we ain't having it. We're gonna stand together and shout
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: out to my girl. Wanted the sikes, you know, said look,
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: I ain't work here. All money ain't good money. So
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: you know they lit him a fast. There's a lesson
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: to everybody. You call somebody a monkey, I can say it. Yeah,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: you compare us to a monkey, that would be your monkey,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: asked right on the job right there, say that all
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: the time. We can, I say that you just did.
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: We gotta girl, Cheryl on that note, thank you so much.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: As always steve your health and wellness uh and fitness
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: segment that is coming up with our friend Dr Sadegi
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: as we get ready to get in shape for the summer.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: We'll be back at the time of the hour nine
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: o'clock Eastern time to talk to the doctor. Right after
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: this you're listening to Hey, welcome back. Everybody's usual special
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: talk topic for me is a health and wellness, health, wellness, fitness.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: I just I'm really getting into it lately. You know,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: I want to have a life of a healthy life,
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: however long I have a life of longevity, but a
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: healthy life. And I've been meeting some people along the
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: way that's been helping me get on that right path.
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: And one of them is a doctor, Habib Sadeghi, and
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: he's here today again. We've had it had him on before.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: He has a book out called The Clarity Cleans. Uh,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: it's the Clarity Cleans. It's a book. In the front
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: cover is just an empty tea cup. He's been talking
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: to us about healing yourself with mental clarity and things
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: of that nature. But today we want to talk about
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: clarity and getting ready for the summer. So please welcome
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Dr today. Welcome back Dot. Just thank you, thank you,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: thank you. See is such a privilege to be here. Yeah,
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: so Doc, start with us. What what what what? What? What?
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: What are we going to start with the day in
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: terms of clarity and getting ready for the summer. We're
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: going to start with the cover of the book. The
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: cover of the book is the most important part of
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: the whole book. It's an empty cup. And if people
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: are getting ready for the summer, what they need to
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: get ready for is to empty out all that they've
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: been filled up with. So, you know, I just gave
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: the commencement speech at a medical school where I graduated
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: from shout out to Western University two thousand eighteen new physicians,
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: And really the essence of what I shared with them
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: was the acronym clarity, where the sea stands for context
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: before content. You know, so many people they focus on
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: the content, you know, taking the right this, the right dad,
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: the food, but yet the context that they have, the mindset,
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: it's it's not really there, you know. And so that's
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: what the C stands for the lead. The L is
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: for lead, love, lead, you know. It's it's unbelievable how
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: many people are walking around loveless and they're wondering why
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: they're sick and why they're so con you know, literally contracted.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: And it's the a's for authenticity, you know, the authenticity.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: It's it's a journey that every human being takes. Authenticity
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: is what Aristotle referred to as in telchy, sort of
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: like when you plant an acorn, it becomes an oak tree.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: And that's really having a context of spiritual practice. Most
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: people they're walking around and they have absolutely no spiritual practice.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: They don't even know what that is. So you know,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: once they if they have earner tracking fiction or flu
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: or neck pain or cancer or Parkinsons disease, they just
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: fall apart because they can't really hold it. They have
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: no cup. You know, you take us to Jamaica when
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: we land, they greet us. What they won't say hello,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: they won't say what's up. What they say is respect, respect.
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: Every English ward has two parts. It has the first part,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: which is the prefix, and then the suffix. The prefix
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: here is r E. Return again. Respect like a spectacle
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: of glass you put on. Respect means to look again.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: So many of us were walking around and where our
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: cup is filled up with preconceived notion and we're wondering
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: why we're gaining weight. We're wondering why we're so heavy.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: We're wondering why we don't have the energy. The eye
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: in clarity is intuitive insight and every human being has
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: access to that. The t is today. You know, I
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: think Nike is right. Just do it. Whatever puts you
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: on fire, whatever feeds your soul, do it. You know,
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: if if if Nephews his soul is put on fire
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: by you know, bringing five hundred and five thousand from
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: Hunk and bidding on the third game, he won't be
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: getting to clarity with that good clarity when we lay
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: in the private jettity with respects. Yeah, and let love lead,
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: and that brings us last, but not least, the y
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: and clarity. And that is having really a yearning to
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: be of service. You know, so many people they're walking
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: around and they want something instead of having this deep desire,
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: this the yearning to be of service and to contribute
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: to a larger conversation at community tea. That's all of us.
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: That's really what the book is about. Clarity Clarity Cleans
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: by Dr Habib Sadegi, and you can get it. You
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: can order their Amazon, you can go online and get
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: it right now. It's a book that teaches you how
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: to mentally get yourself in a position to receive healing, blessings, opportunities, grace, mercy, forgiveness.
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: But you gotta get your mind clear to receive it all.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: It's so many people. I agree with this whole Harley.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: So many people are bottled up with stuff that they're
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: carrying around that there's no place for anything to go.
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: It's like when I wrote the book and I said
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: that for a woman to meet the man of her
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: dreams and find Mr Wright, you have to stop dating
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: Mr Wrong. So you got to clear out in order
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: for Mr Wright to come into your life. It just
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: doesn't work that way. I think it's a great opportunity.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: I think it's something we should all look into. Everybody again,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: the book is called The Clarity Cleans. I want you
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: to just go look it up right now, go online
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: if you would work Steve Harvy Nation. I'm telling you
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: this is a book worth reading. It's deep, man, it
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: will really help you in so many areas. The Clarity Cleans.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Go online right now if you're at your desk and
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: just google it. Clarity Cleans by Dr Habib said, Dad,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: get the book, check it out, and we'll be coming
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: to you from time to time to talk about stuff
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: in the book. Dr David. Thank you so much, man.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: It's such a privilege Steve. And really, you embody, what
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: what Christ said in terms of the Kingdom of Heaven
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: is here is at our finger Lord. I was gonna say,
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: you embody what you do with well, doctor, you let
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: love lead you really do. I appreciate you. All right,
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: You're welcome. We'll be back, sir, after we win. We'll
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the String Show. Oh break, ruin.
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: I can't two two sweep Golden States. But that's a
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: light now the Loryers can do it. Though. I'm asking
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: for that because my heart can't take five games, sick
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: game or seven. I need a phone out and I
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: don't need it to be the cavol Leers. That's out.
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: I don't really know how this go go. Mm hmmm.
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: I personally was so pulling for Houston. Let's go Rockets,
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: Go Rockets. I tried everything. They are in a place
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: called Lake Livings, and they fishing that thing. They asked
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: missed Twitter seven straight three points? Why would you not
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: go take her two? I thought we was praying for
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: your team. I'm surprised a basketball prayer period. They have
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: sports prayers over, thank you God. Oh my bad, come
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: on past the we listen to men of stuff, but
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: they're actually claiming, no, it's over, sister, call it. Oh
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: you're done, okay, amen, Amen, Amen, come on Lebron. Yeah,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: so what's your thanks? Steve? Really tonight. I mean, I
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: don't know how they can beat Gold. Instead, it was
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: these new players that Lebron got would have to play
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: out they tail Now. I don't know. We need a
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: great grand game out of Green. We need love get
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: this a little herd ass back. Well, I'm pulling. I
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: want to see him do it. I think they can
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: do it. Lebron played the whole gamest Boston eight minutes.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: They didn't think they didn't think Boston was gonna lose.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: Lebron came and then did it, so yeah, it could
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: be done. They had Kevin Durant though Boston. I'm just saying, yeah,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: no favor fading faith and Tommy that boy getting paid
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: for what he got. I don't know he he hitnt
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: the two. Excuse me, Steve as a Rockets fan, I
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: just threw the shade major league. But I'm pulling for Lebron.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: Let's go. I love Lebron. He's a bad boy, is
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: a leader. Yeah. Now we're back in l A. You
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: know everybody in l A Is pulling for the Warriors,
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: right right? Give a damn about them though, I'm just saying, now,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: you know I said we ain't on right, I don't
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: even know who's holding Who holds Lebron? Would that be Durant? Do? No?
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: That was igle Domo Doward whatever? Isn't he out? Yeah?
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: But who are we in from? Who? I'm gonna get
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: this farty that. We'll be back with more of the
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, We now know
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: some of the stars will perform at b Et the
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: b ET Awards next month. We all get so excited

- 1:28:18Speaker 1: this is good news. The first round of performers include
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: Nicki Minaj, The me Goes, and Janelle Monet. D J
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: Kalett Yeah That's Real Nice leads with six total nominations,
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: followed by Kendrick Lamar with five and a me Goes
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: with four nominations. This year's show will be hosted by
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: Jamie Fox. Steve It airs live, Yeah it airs live
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: from Los Angeles on June. More performers will be announced,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: of course, closer to the date as always. And in
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: other entertainment news, to reality stars met Yesterday, Kim Kardashian
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: met with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office to
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: continue the president um to embrace, to convince, I should say,
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: to convince the President to embrace prison reform. Her ally
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: was a President's son in law, Jared Kushner. Kim and
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: Jared have communicated for months through back channels. They share
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: a passion for altering the US justice system. Who knew this?
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: Who knew this? About Kim Kardashian. She asked the President
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: to pardon Alice Johnson a great grandmother serving a life
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: sentence without an opportunity for parole. Her crime well a
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: first time non violent drug offense. The president's son in law,
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: Jared Kushner's father served time for tax evasion and witness tampering.
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: As a reminder of those dark days, Jared carried the
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: wallet his dad crafted in federal prison and wants to
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: focus on prison reform. And I think Van Jones, yeah,
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: I think it happened when he was young. Jared's dad
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: time when he was a young boy and has said
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: served past tense so time for Texas. Yeah. Yeah, and
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Dard was up there fighting for presiment him. If his
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: daddy was steal in, that would explain it all. It's okay, okay.
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: I think Van Jones from CNN uh is on this
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: President's panel to to uh talk about prison reform and
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: all of that, and he got some a little pushback
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: from it because he's you know, it comes out against
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: so many of the President's policies. But he says, yeah,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: I may be nine against what he's doing up there,
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: but if this one percent, uh, you know, this prison
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: reform thing, if we can come together on this one percent,
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: why not do it? Because it's for the greater good
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: prison reform. So I absolutely agree with Jones. Look, everybody listens.
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: If there's an opportunity to make a change, somebody got
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: to talk to somebody. You gotta sit down with these people.
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: You may not agree. Now, don't do to him what
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: you did to me. All these Uncle Tom's and coons
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: and jiggaboos and spooks and all this. Here, you ain't
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: got to do that to the man. The man is
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: going up there to try to accomplish something for all this.
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: He's not going up there for none of that. And
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: I applaud Kim Kardashian to Steve because you know, she
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: gets a bad rap about not doing anything, not having
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: any talent and all of that, and here she is,
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: you know, working for the greater good as well. You know,
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: she's not just about beauty and makeup and yeah and
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: things like that. She does, Carla, you're right, she does
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: a lot of philanthropy. She does stuff with the homeless.
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: She is a very giving person. And you're right, surely, yeah,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: she she does. She does a lot of good stuff. Yeah,
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: you see a lot of it when you if you
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: watch the show Keeping Up the Kardashians, they talk man.
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: You gotta we've got to be a little bit more open.
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: Van Jones shouldn't be taking heat for this. Right, You
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: don't have to vote for a person to sit and
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: talk with. Right, and if anybody can handle it, yeah,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: I went through it. Now I wouldn't do it again
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: because the backlash against my family was too great. All right, Steve,
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: coming up our last break of the day closing remarks. Okay,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: get ready people, right after this you're listening to show.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: All right, here we are last break of the day
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: for this Thursday. Don't forget to join me today later
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: today for the Strawberry Letter Live after show on Facebook.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: I appreciate you guys so very much. We have a
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: fun time on the show. But Steve, now it's time
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: for you to drop some knowledge with our closing remarks.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: What you got for us today? Yeah, today, I want
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: to remind everybody if something uh that gets overlooked from
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: time to time. But if you want to be successful
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: and you want to be happy, if your happiness is
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: sometimes as it often is, tied to your success, and
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: if your success oftentimes as it is, it's tied to
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: your happiness, the two kind of go hand in hand.
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: Almost but not. You have to be using your definition
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: of success and somebody else's. If you're using someone else's
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: definition of success, you're never going to be happy, whether
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: they've aimed too high for you or they've aimed too
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: low for you. If you're using somebody else's aim, you're
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: never going to be happy because those two are, I'm sorry,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: tied together. I'm happy if I'm successful. If I'm not successful,
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: I'm not going to be happy because I'm gonna feel
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: like there's something else I could be doing for my family,
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: as something else I could be doing for my future.
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: It's something else I could be doing to make it work.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: And so my success is tied to my happiness, and
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: my happiness is tied to my success. Now do I
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: take times off from all of it and just sit
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: around and be grateful and happy for where I am?
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: Of course, all the time. Gratitude is a huge part
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: of the principles of success, as oftentimes to overlook, Yeah,
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: I'll often sit around and just smell the roses, just
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: take a breath of fresh air and go mad. I'm
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: awful grateful for where I am. God not meaning that
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: I don't want more, but I oftentimes stop and thank
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: him for right where I am, because where we are
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: is pretty good compared to where we were. But now
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: with all that said, let me share something with you.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: If you want to be happy and successful, you are
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: going to have to put out a massive effort. Period.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: Stop thinking it's going to happen any other way. You
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: have got to put out a massive effort. You gotta
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: get at it. You gotta grind, you gotta want it.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: It's got to burn a little bit on the inside
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: of you. It's gotta make you uncomfortable not being where
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: you want to be. You got to have I'm gonna
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: get it attitude in order for it to get got period.
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: You gotta have I'm gonna get it attitude in order
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: for it to get got period. That's the deal. No substitutions,
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: no alternatives. This ain't sugar. You can't you splendor instead.
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: This This ain't sugar. This is life. You have to
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: go get it now. All no alternatives. Well, you can
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: pick some alternatives, but you're not gonna be happy and successful.
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: You got to get a little bit of dog in you.
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Everybody got to have some dog in you.
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: You gotta have some bite back. You gotta have some fight.
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: You're gonna have to have a little bit of kick,
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: and sometimes the kick has to come from yourself. You
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: kind of quit looking for other people. Always give you
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: that little kick in the red and get your started,
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: that little jump started in the morning to encourage you.
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: What if they need encouraging What if they adn't get
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: they jump start for the day and you're waiting on
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: they calling they're encouraging. Word, man, let me tell you something.
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: These are people that you're waiting on to help you.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: People fail all that time. Every person needs to gonna
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: Lord God Almighty. So that might be one of the
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: mourners where they need him and they don't have nothing
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: for you. Take your faith out of man, put your
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: faith in God and get at it. You and God
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: can make it. That'd be great if you had a
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: friend along the way, of course it will be. But
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: sometimes you're in a pattern where you gotta learn that
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: it ain't nobody but you and him. Sometimes sometimes you
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: just need to know it ain't nobody but you and God.
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: That really ain't a bad place to be. It really ain't.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: I've got some of my best results out of my
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: life when I just asked God for the help when
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: I didn't call nobody else to see what they thought
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: about it. When I went to God, just God, I've
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: gotten my best results. I'm just gonna be honest with you.
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: But you got to get at it, though, squirt it.
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: Quit expecting God to just bless you with something and
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: you ain't giving him nothing to put his finger on
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: the touch you make one step here, make too. You
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: got to be a producer out here. You gotta go
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: out of here and get out something. Quit asking God
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: for a job and you ain't putting no applications in.
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: Stop wasting his time and yours too. It's like the story.
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: The man said, you know, I've been praying. I've been
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: praying to God to hit the lottery. I've just been
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: praying to the Lord to hit the lottery. One day,
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: the man just kept hearing him say that. He said, well,
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: do you play the lottery? He said, no? What kind
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: of prayers are You're praying to God to hit the lottery,
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: but you're not playing the lottery. What that don't make
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: no sense. If you want God to touch your life,
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: give him something to touch and effort put in a request.
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: Be sincere. But I decided that I'm gonna attempt so
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: many things that's within my gift and in my realm,
- 1:37:51Speaker 1: that I'm gonna ask God to bless me with his grace.
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: He got something to blast. He just keeps on making
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: stuff happen for me. He just keep song opening doors
