- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all have a suit on the don giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them like the milling bus things and it's cos y'all.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve listening to going together for stuy. I don't joy.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta gotta turn you. You gotta turn the turnout,
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turnmout. Then turn the water to the water. Come,
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your baby now. Uh huh, I shore will
- 2:04Speaker 1: good marded everybody you're listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now, one and all, it's Steve Harvey, got
- 2:11Speaker 1: a radio show. Well all right, I've learned something and
- 2:19Speaker 1: it sharing time. And I am all ever appreciated. I
- 2:25Speaker 1: do appreciate God for all that he allows me to
- 2:29Speaker 1: learn in my life. One of the best lessons I've
- 2:34Speaker 1: learned is that hardship teaches you some great lessons. Challenges
- 2:44Speaker 1: brings about some of my best results. I think what
- 2:48Speaker 1: I'm trying to say is in every challenge and hardship,
- 2:54Speaker 1: every setback, I've learned something so so valuable. So here's
- 3:01Speaker 1: what I've You know, I've known this, but I've just
- 3:05Speaker 1: learned it at a different angle. Appreciation and gratitude is
- 3:11Speaker 1: the key to having more. Now. I don't know how
- 3:17Speaker 1: that sound to you, but I can't tell you how
- 3:22Speaker 1: true it is. God being fair and just as he
- 3:26Speaker 1: really is. He really is. He's a fair and a
- 3:29Speaker 1: just God. What's most beneficial to us is he happens
- 3:33Speaker 1: to be full of mercy and grace. And I'm telling
- 3:40Speaker 1: you something, man, I've probably benefited from his grace and
- 3:47Speaker 1: mercy more than anything else. I mean, really, man, if
- 3:52Speaker 1: it wasn't for him just forgiving me, and then for
- 3:58Speaker 1: him just touching my life the way he has, I mean,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I'm I'm not hearing this position today. I'm just not.
- 4:07Speaker 1: But a funny thing has happened along the way, even
- 4:11Speaker 1: to you. If you look at it, is it your
- 4:14Speaker 1: genuine appreciation and gratitude has been the key to you
- 4:20Speaker 1: having more for your continued blessings and for making room
- 4:27Speaker 1: for having to open up and pour out blessings that
- 4:29Speaker 1: you don't have room enough to receive. If you look
- 4:32Speaker 1: at it, see God being a fair and just God,
- 4:35Speaker 1: which he is, why would he put more on you
- 4:41Speaker 1: than you can bad? If you've noticed everything that's happened
- 4:46Speaker 1: in your life, if you're still here, you've made it.
- 4:50Speaker 1: You know, forget how rough it was, got that but
- 4:53Speaker 1: you made it. Forget what it sent you through, and
- 4:57Speaker 1: it hid made you feel you made it. Now, what
- 5:03Speaker 1: makes people give up and you hear about people committing suicide,
- 5:06Speaker 1: is they leave the God out of their life and
- 5:10Speaker 1: they start allowing that other voice to control. And if
- 5:14Speaker 1: it's really true that God never puts more on you
- 5:16Speaker 1: than you can bear, as long as you stay connected
- 5:19Speaker 1: to God, you can get through anything. But you lose
- 5:23Speaker 1: that connection, you lose that communication, you lose that relationship
- 5:30Speaker 1: with him. If you're not having a relationship with God,
- 5:33Speaker 1: then who you're having a relationship with Now it ain't
- 5:39Speaker 1: but two forces at work at all time. It's good
- 5:43Speaker 1: and evil. It's positive and negative. It's God, it's Satan. Now,
- 5:51Speaker 1: this is at work all the time. So if you're
- 5:56Speaker 1: not being positive about everything, you leave room for negativity
- 6:00Speaker 1: to step in. If you're not trying to be righteous
- 6:04Speaker 1: in your way, then you allow evil to step in.
- 6:08Speaker 1: If you don't work on your relationship with God, come on, now,
- 6:13Speaker 1: look who you're letting step in. So now I'm asking
- 6:18Speaker 1: you to understand that God never puts the more on
- 6:22Speaker 1: you than you can bear. Okay, now that we got
- 6:24Speaker 1: that clear. That's a fact. Okay. Now with that fact
- 6:27Speaker 1: in mind, let's go over this right here. Why would God,
- 6:31Speaker 1: being as just and merciful as he is, put more
- 6:35Speaker 1: on you than you can bear? Example, if God has
- 6:40Speaker 1: given you blessings and all you're doing is complaining about him,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you're never showing any appreciation of gratitude about it. Why
- 6:49Speaker 1: would he give you some most stuff to be ungrateful for?
- 6:52Speaker 1: Why would he give you some more stuff to complain about?
- 6:55Speaker 1: Why would he give you some more stuff that you
- 6:57Speaker 1: would not show any more appreciation for? I mean, this
- 7:01Speaker 1: thing is real simple, man, ain't it if you think
- 7:03Speaker 1: about it? So? A lot of times, man, when I
- 7:06Speaker 1: was going through my positions of not having it and
- 7:09Speaker 1: wondering at all like here, I ended up checking myself
- 7:12Speaker 1: and going, man, I'm not even showing any gratitude or
- 7:15Speaker 1: appreciation for the things He has done for me. Start
- 7:18Speaker 1: showing some appreciation and gratitude because it's the key to
- 7:21Speaker 1: having more. It's the key to continued blessings. It's the
- 7:26Speaker 1: key to the wonders of heaven opening up and pouring
- 7:28Speaker 1: out a blessing that you won't have room enough to receive.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It's the appreciation and gratitude of what you already have,
- 7:37Speaker 1: as minimal as it may appear to be right now
- 7:41Speaker 1: for you, it is still what you have. But if
- 7:45Speaker 1: you've shown no gratual, no gratitude for the minimal, why
- 7:52Speaker 1: would he give you the maximum. I mean, I'm just
- 7:56Speaker 1: really just trying to put it real, real, simple, so
- 7:59Speaker 1: I can keep understanding this thing right here. So let
- 8:02Speaker 1: me give you an example. In my life, I had
- 8:05Speaker 1: gotten so busy at one point that I had began
- 8:11Speaker 1: to complain about how busy I was. This is true
- 8:16Speaker 1: because I am busy, but it ain't the busy part
- 8:21Speaker 1: because I asked to be busy, you know, I asked
- 8:23Speaker 1: God to give me opportunities and to make a way
- 8:27Speaker 1: for me. Well, in that you got to do something
- 8:30Speaker 1: and you got to get busy. But I began to
- 8:34Speaker 1: complain about the business and how busy I was, and
- 8:38Speaker 1: I noticed that a couple of things slowed up for me.
- 8:42Speaker 1: So I had got to the point where I wasn't
- 8:45Speaker 1: showing real gratitude for it. Well, I looked up and
- 8:48Speaker 1: a couple of things started slowing down, and then I
- 8:51Speaker 1: had to catch myself and I went, wow, man, you
- 8:54Speaker 1: have got to start embracing the fact that you are
- 8:57Speaker 1: this busy, embraced the fact that what all comes along
- 9:02Speaker 1: with it. Because to whom much is given, much is required.
- 9:05Speaker 1: You got to start embracing the requirement part if you
- 9:09Speaker 1: want to continue with the giving part. So I changed
- 9:12Speaker 1: my attitude. I caught myself and I started thinking him
- 9:16Speaker 1: and showing real gratitude for how busy I was, instead
- 9:18Speaker 1: of complaining about how busy I was. And then guess what,
- 9:21Speaker 1: It opened up the windows of heaven and some more
- 9:24Speaker 1: blessings got poured out. It just works that way all
- 9:27Speaker 1: the time, for everybody, for me, for you, for everybody.
- 9:31Speaker 1: So listen, y'all again, your appreciation and gratitude is the
- 9:35Speaker 1: key to having more. Your appreciation and gratitude is the
- 9:38Speaker 1: key to continued blessings. And your appreciation and gratitude it's
- 9:43Speaker 1: the only way that you can get those windows of
- 9:46Speaker 1: heaven to open up and pour out these blessings that
- 9:48Speaker 1: you won't have room enough to receive. You gotta act
- 9:51Speaker 1: like you're glad for what you got in order to
- 9:53Speaker 1: get more. You feel me, let's go show, ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: boys and girls, let me have your attention. Please try Jesus,
- 10:12Speaker 1: not me, because I throw hands. Try Jesus. Please don't
- 10:24Speaker 1: try me because I fight ladies and gentlemen. Steve Harvey's
- 10:35Speaker 1: three theme song Till the Year twenty twenty five. Really
- 10:42Speaker 1: I'm twenty five. Yeah, that'd be last time I'm gonna
- 10:46Speaker 1: throw hands A really, Yeah, I'm gonna retire from swinging
- 10:52Speaker 1: and cussing people out. You think you think you got
- 10:55Speaker 1: one more level and you know, throwing hands, you think
- 10:57Speaker 1: you got one more I don't want to, but but
- 11:00Speaker 1: if I had to. Yeah, But like the song, say
- 11:04Speaker 1: me and mine, you know, really just mine. You can
- 11:09Speaker 1: talk about me and I ain't. I don't care. Don't
- 11:11Speaker 1: bother mind though. Oh you can custom me out. I
- 11:13Speaker 1: don't care. You can lie on me on any that.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I don't care. But when you come from mind though. Now, No,
- 11:21Speaker 1: I'm not gonna play with you. I'm not gonna play
- 11:23Speaker 1: with you. I'm sorry, Lord forgive me. Thank God. I
- 11:28Speaker 1: well I had to do. We were joking one day.
- 11:31Speaker 1: One of my one of my son's friends, was over
- 11:33Speaker 1: at your house and we were talking about fighting. He said,
- 11:36Speaker 1: but Harve, you know you din't got older now, man.
- 11:38Speaker 1: One of the young boys, Mike might whoop you up
- 11:40Speaker 1: pretty good. I say, that's highly possible. That is highly possible.
- 11:46Speaker 1: But let me ask you something though, a little man,
- 11:48Speaker 1: Why are your friends whooping my ass? What is I'm
- 11:51Speaker 1: gonna be doing? Hello? I want you to understand one thing.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I don't have a lot left in me. But the
- 12:00Speaker 1: fifteen twenty seconds I got you're not gonna believe it. Second, yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 1: I'm gonna be winded after that. Year. A fight is
- 12:12Speaker 1: over in eight or ten. It ain't long, so fifteen
- 12:16Speaker 1: is a loan most Yeah, but I'm seconds. But I'm
- 12:22Speaker 1: talking about if you're fighting like like I'm gonna be
- 12:26Speaker 1: doing hard you know, baby finger in your nostrils, you know,
- 12:35Speaker 1: like yeah, but but biting you in your hat on,
- 12:43Speaker 1: I'm talking about the unexpected. I'm biting you on your
- 12:47Speaker 1: nose where everybody else see you beenvid that's you're not
- 12:53Speaker 1: gonna breathe the same. I'm talking about trying to stick
- 12:58Speaker 1: my finger in your back hockey. Yeah, that type of fight.
- 13:05Speaker 1: And I'm grabbing what you think I ain't gonna grab.
- 13:08Speaker 1: I'm grabbing them. Whoa start to fight like that? I
- 13:12Speaker 1: try to weaken the main well, Happy Friday, everyone fight.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Y'all don't know what the old man fight. Look Hey, hey, hey,
- 13:24Speaker 1: hey hey, if I think we fit in the fight,
- 13:26Speaker 1: I just started kissing you, throw your in the all right,
- 13:32Speaker 1: thank you guys. Can't wait to see these matchups coming
- 13:37Speaker 1: up at thirty, asked the CLO. Right after this, you're
- 13:44Speaker 1: listening to the string show coming up at the top
- 13:48Speaker 1: of the hour. R and B singer and our friend
- 13:50Speaker 1: Brandy will be our special guests. But right now, yes,
- 13:53Speaker 1: can't wait for that new music out. Can't wait right now,
- 13:57Speaker 1: though I don't know me hello rockaway being. I know
- 14:04Speaker 1: y'all ain't, but I just wanted to say hello bye everybody.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Y'all ain't invite me prop you know what I'm saying.
- 14:17Speaker 1: You gonna have ready he let me pop, But I'm
- 14:20Speaker 1: going thank you very enjoy all right, listen, right now
- 14:26Speaker 1: it's time for ask the CLO and the chief love
- 14:30Speaker 1: officers in the building. Steve, you ready, absolutely, here we go.
- 14:34Speaker 1: This one's from Tawanda and Seattle. She said, I just
- 14:37Speaker 1: read your book, Uncle Steve, so I need some clarification.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I've been dating a man for two years. I'm twenty nine,
- 14:44Speaker 1: and I want to be married. I started telling my
- 14:48Speaker 1: man that I love him after a year of dating.
- 14:51Speaker 1: He always says me too, or same here or ditto.
- 14:56Speaker 1: One night he even told me he was very fond
- 14:58Speaker 1: of me, and I'm white fee material. Maybe he does
- 15:02Speaker 1: not love me, or he's not the mushy type. My
- 15:05Speaker 1: grandma said some men aren't able to profess love. Is
- 15:09Speaker 1: this true? Should I ask him why he doesn't profess
- 15:12Speaker 1: his love for me? Well, you can ask him, but
- 15:16Speaker 1: I want you to be ready for the answer. You've
- 15:20Speaker 1: been with a man over a year and you haven't
- 15:22Speaker 1: told him he loved you, and he says same hill, ditto,
- 15:28Speaker 1: whoo hoo, be too back at you? My mom used
- 15:33Speaker 1: to say, thank you, boomerang, yeah, stuff like that. You
- 15:41Speaker 1: can go ahead and ask him if you really need clarity,
- 15:45Speaker 1: and he's saying your wifey material. But I want you
- 15:48Speaker 1: to listen to what he has not said. He has
- 15:52Speaker 1: not said he loves you, and he has not said
- 15:57Speaker 1: he wants you to be his wife. Those are two
- 16:00Speaker 1: things that he hasn't said. So now you have every right, though,
- 16:05Speaker 1: to ask for clarity by saying, when you say, when
- 16:08Speaker 1: I say I love you and you say ditto, what
- 16:11Speaker 1: does that mean? No? Tell me what that means. You
- 16:16Speaker 1: know we've been dating a year. Tell me what that means.
- 16:18Speaker 1: And then, secondly, when you say I'm wifey material, are
- 16:23Speaker 1: you saying I'll make someone else a good wife or
- 16:26Speaker 1: you think I would make you a good wife? You
- 16:28Speaker 1: have every right to ask that question. You've been waiting
- 16:33Speaker 1: for a year. Come on, now, two years. They've been
- 16:35Speaker 1: together two years. To stop stop playing this game. You
- 16:38Speaker 1: should know by now. Next question. All right, here we go,
- 16:42Speaker 1: Lexus and Tampa says, I've been married for eleven years
- 16:46Speaker 1: and I want a divorce. I've been trying to get
- 16:49Speaker 1: one for the past four years, and my husband keeps
- 16:51Speaker 1: saying we can't afford a divorce. He says, I can't
- 16:54Speaker 1: give money in our joint account for that. I'm trying
- 16:58Speaker 1: to separate our money, but the majority of our income
- 17:00Speaker 1: comes from him. He is fine with living in a
- 17:03Speaker 1: dysfunctional marriage, but I'm not. I've met a man and
- 17:06Speaker 1: I'm ready to start over with him, but I can't
- 17:09Speaker 1: get a divorce. We don't have any assets, and he
- 17:12Speaker 1: can have this raggedy house. I just want out. How
- 17:16Speaker 1: can I drop the zero without it costing so much?
- 17:20Speaker 1: Wait a minute, what are you talking about, right, What
- 17:24Speaker 1: are you talking about? How can I drop this zero
- 17:27Speaker 1: without it costing? What do you You don't have any assets.
- 17:33Speaker 1: You've been married eleven years and he's telling you y'all
- 17:36Speaker 1: can't afford to get no divorce and you can't take
- 17:40Speaker 1: the money out to account to get no divorce. But
- 17:42Speaker 1: you're in a dysfunctional relationship. You gotta be kidding me.
- 17:47Speaker 1: You're not really trying to get divorced. People do it
- 17:51Speaker 1: every day, unfortunately, but they system all the stuff you
- 17:54Speaker 1: can do online. You can get out if you won't out. Yeah,
- 17:58Speaker 1: come come on now, let's stop playing this little reindeer game.
- 18:01Speaker 1: You got going four years you've been trying to get
- 18:04Speaker 1: a divorce. So in the four years, what y'all been
- 18:07Speaker 1: doing this this joint account that you all have that
- 18:11Speaker 1: he puts the majority in money and you don't have
- 18:13Speaker 1: access to it at all? Girl, Next question should Berry
- 18:20Speaker 1: and Sumter? Moving on? Berry in Sumter, South Carolina, says,
- 18:23Speaker 1: I'm thirty four and engaged to a woman that's not
- 18:26Speaker 1: happy with me right now. It will be my second marriage,
- 18:30Speaker 1: and I'm still on my ex wife's insurance policy because
- 18:33Speaker 1: of the benefits and incentives that came with having our
- 18:36Speaker 1: policies combined. She has paid her part of a premium
- 18:39Speaker 1: and I paid my half. My fiance is aware that
- 18:43Speaker 1: the policy is paid in full until February of twenty
- 18:46Speaker 1: twenty one, but she wants me to cancel the policy
- 18:49Speaker 1: and get a new one immediately. It's just auto insurance
- 18:53Speaker 1: and no big deal to me. How should I handle it?
- 18:56Speaker 1: Good question? Okay, excuse me, y'all? Can I ask y'all
- 18:59Speaker 1: all the question? I don't know what he's talking about.
- 19:02Speaker 1: There's an insurance policy paid in full till February, but
- 19:07Speaker 1: it's just auto insurance. That's car insurance. It's just car insurance.
- 19:13Speaker 1: And he's on with his ex wife. She wants him
- 19:16Speaker 1: to cut ties with his ex wife. Okay, cut ties
- 19:19Speaker 1: with your ex wife? What's wrong with you? If that'll
- 19:23Speaker 1: make her happy, you gotta cut ties with it? What? What? What? You?
- 19:27Speaker 1: You didn't pay the money? I mean? Do you see
- 19:31Speaker 1: an accident happening any time? Get this? I don't, man,
- 19:38Speaker 1: You're just unhappy in your house over car accident that
- 19:42Speaker 1: ain't happened. Come on, man, you gotta be Joe. Come on,
- 19:47Speaker 1: billy dog. You're trying to hang on to insurance policy.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Did you debate. I'm sure it can't be that much exactly. Yeah,
- 20:00Speaker 1: let's say a couple hundred dollars. Let's just say it's
- 20:03Speaker 1: a couple hundred. Let's say it three hundred, it's a
- 20:07Speaker 1: thousand dollars. Yeah, let's say that. Yeah, but let me
- 20:10Speaker 1: ask you a question. Who prepays stay card showers? Don't nobody?
- 20:15Speaker 1: Rich people don't nobody pre pay card showers. Why would
- 20:20Speaker 1: you prepay for for something for an accident coverage that
- 20:24Speaker 1: has not happened. That's the dumbest pre payment. You can
- 20:28Speaker 1: pay in six months, or you can pay the whole year.
- 20:32Speaker 1: You can it's paid, up the car and get out
- 20:37Speaker 1: of him. Many thank you. Cello is always coming up next.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Nephew Tommy would run that prank back right after this
- 20:48Speaker 1: you're listening show coming up at the top of the hour.
- 20:54Speaker 1: R and B singer Brandy will be a special guest.
- 20:57Speaker 1: She's family for us, she really, yeah, yeah she is.
- 21:00Speaker 1: But right now the nephew is here with running that
- 21:02Speaker 1: prank back. What you got for us? Now? The barber shot, okay,
- 21:09Speaker 1: the barber shot. Don't even know if you can't talk
- 21:13Speaker 1: straight at the barbershop and where can't you talk straight?
- 21:17Speaker 1: It is what it is, the black Man's Country Club.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Let's go cad Dog because Brady, Brady, how are you doing? Man?
- 21:26Speaker 1: My name, my name is Dennis Man. I got a
- 21:27Speaker 1: haircut from you a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, what's up? Hey? Listen, Um,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I wanted to get an appointment with you, man. Uh,
- 21:34Speaker 1: Like I said, I was there a couple of weeks ago. Man,
- 21:36Speaker 1: my first time getting haircut from you. Did a real,
- 21:38Speaker 1: real good job. So I want to say thank you
- 21:40Speaker 1: for that. All right, it's not okay? Do you have
- 21:43Speaker 1: any um any time available on Thursday? Yeah? Yeah, for sure. Yeah,
- 21:49Speaker 1: you come up to Thursday. What's what's what's your name here? Bro?
- 21:52Speaker 1: Dennis Man? Dennis? Okay, Dennis? Why I can get Dennis
- 21:56Speaker 1: about three o'clock, man, something of that nature. I mean,
- 21:58Speaker 1: you know I'm only work off. You know three o'clock
- 22:02Speaker 1: you will be there. Yeah, okay, Hey. I got a
- 22:06Speaker 1: little bit of situation though, man, that happened last time
- 22:08Speaker 1: I was there. I kind of wanted to talk to
- 22:11Speaker 1: you a body man, because it kind of called me
- 22:13Speaker 1: off guard. So I wanted to I let you man
- 22:17Speaker 1: and see if we could rectify the problem for I
- 22:19Speaker 1: came back up there. What happened? What somebody dispect your something?
- 22:22Speaker 1: I mean, what was to do? What? What? Uh? It
- 22:25Speaker 1: really wasn't something body man, it was it was it
- 22:27Speaker 1: was it was actually you me whoa? I mean, what's
- 22:31Speaker 1: his deal? Man? When you was cutting my hair? When
- 22:34Speaker 1: it when it was time to turn the chair, you
- 22:38Speaker 1: didn't turn the chair with with with with with your
- 22:41Speaker 1: hand man. See Brady, man, you you turned the chair
- 22:44Speaker 1: with your with your private part. Oh, come on, say
- 22:48Speaker 1: I mean, I'm a professional man. I've been doing this
- 22:51Speaker 1: fifteen years, right right. I don't think it's anything deliberate, man,
- 22:55Speaker 1: I think you just do it unconsciously. Man. Could you
- 22:58Speaker 1: know you be leaning over on the chair cutting and
- 23:00Speaker 1: I think you don't realize you know, you be turning
- 23:03Speaker 1: the chair with your private part instead of doing it
- 23:05Speaker 1: with your hand man. And see, my hand got caught
- 23:08Speaker 1: out there and I saw it out the corner of
- 23:10Speaker 1: my eyes. I saw your private part coming towards my hand.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I moved it just in time. You understanding, but not
- 23:17Speaker 1: see Dennis, I'm not understanding something. But because I don't,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I don't. We don't operate like that. Mind this because
- 23:23Speaker 1: you know I don't make mistakes like that, but I mean,
- 23:26Speaker 1: you know, I don't know you. You're sure you're talking
- 23:27Speaker 1: to the right person, man, Yeah, I mean, ain't you
- 23:30Speaker 1: the third chair on the right when you walk in
- 23:32Speaker 1: the door. Yeah, that's correct. Okay, that what I'm talking about. Man,
- 23:35Speaker 1: And you cut me two weeks ago, and like I said,
- 23:37Speaker 1: I really like my hair cut, so I wanted to
- 23:39Speaker 1: call back and rectify this problem. But you know, you
- 23:42Speaker 1: gotta turn the chair with your head and not your
- 23:44Speaker 1: private part. If now we're gonna have a problem. Okay, bro,
- 23:47Speaker 1: Now I feel it, and I understand you your complaint
- 23:51Speaker 1: and everything. I mean, I'm not understanding what you're saying.
- 23:54Speaker 1: But because I don't do that, you know, I mean,
- 23:56Speaker 1: we will be glad to you know what I'm thinking.
- 23:58Speaker 1: You another cut or whatever? You understanding, and you know,
- 24:01Speaker 1: but I don't move nobody no round with my problem. Man.
- 24:04Speaker 1: You know that's just not being Okay. I understand what
- 24:07Speaker 1: you're saying, but I want you to hear what I'm saying.
- 24:10Speaker 1: If you put your private on there at all when
- 24:13Speaker 1: I come in there Thursday, then I promise you're gonna
- 24:17Speaker 1: jump up and we're gonna have a problem. Who what
- 24:19Speaker 1: let's see now now now right there, and I'm not
- 24:22Speaker 1: I'm not feeling that jump up and having a problem
- 24:24Speaker 1: because you know you don't really know me like that. Bro,
- 24:27Speaker 1: You know what I mean. I'm trying to be professional
- 24:29Speaker 1: here and and solve your little issue that you got
- 24:31Speaker 1: your understanding. But all this jumping up and stuff you're
- 24:34Speaker 1: talking about doing, I don't know. I'm trying to come
- 24:37Speaker 1: in and get a nice hair cut and walk out
- 24:40Speaker 1: with a nice hair cut. What I don't want to do.
- 24:43Speaker 1: It's come down there, you're lean old, put your private
- 24:45Speaker 1: part where I got my arms in my hands and
- 24:47Speaker 1: I got help. Now that's what I don't pere from
- 24:50Speaker 1: the you're starting. You're touching the wrong, talking about what
- 24:53Speaker 1: you're talking about. I'm teuching you wrong. You touch me
- 24:56Speaker 1: wrong two weeks ago when you put your private on
- 24:58Speaker 1: my hand. Man, I can't fault. I ain't know how
- 25:01Speaker 1: to touch you. I tell you feeling and say what
- 25:04Speaker 1: you talking to man? You know dog all I'm trying
- 25:09Speaker 1: to say, you know, the brother trying to come in
- 25:11Speaker 1: and get his hair cut and walk out fitting like
- 25:13Speaker 1: a man and not walk out feeling violated. Man, because
- 25:16Speaker 1: you didn't turn the chair with your private part all
- 25:19Speaker 1: up against my head and my elbow and stuff. Man,
- 25:22Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying that I'm you know, I'm
- 25:26Speaker 1: trying to talk to you. Do you feel but uns
- 25:28Speaker 1: you don't run me wrong. I ain't gonna punk flying here?
- 25:31Speaker 1: And you understanding, they ain't no punk flying that didn't
- 25:33Speaker 1: keep it off my hand. Let me tell you something
- 25:37Speaker 1: won't fit. Oh here, you bring your stupid so he
- 25:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you right now. You understanding and look quickly?
- 25:45Speaker 1: Oh here, father shop, I hear what you're saying. But
- 25:53Speaker 1: let me explain something. You quit you using your hips
- 25:55Speaker 1: in your private section like a pinball machine. And I'm
- 25:59Speaker 1: gonna tell you right now I will put something on
- 26:01Speaker 1: your you. Come on, understand me. I come on, dude,
- 26:07Speaker 1: I'm just trying to come and get a halh cut.

- 26:11Speaker 1: of there like a man. Feel it like a man.
- 26:13Speaker 1: I open you. I'm gonna open you up. Boy. Do

- 26:51Speaker 1: recommnize yourself and you come up to you put your name? Okay, okay,
- 26:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna put my real name on my shirt. Thing.
- 26:57Speaker 1: You want to know what my real name? Man? That's
- 26:59Speaker 1: what's up. That's then you might want to you want
- 27:02Speaker 1: you want to know what name gonna be on the shirt?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Like then the name on the shirt is nephew Tommy
- 27:09Speaker 1: from the Steve Harpy Morning Show. O man, say my
- 27:24Speaker 1: bad man. Hey, I got one more thing to ask you, man,
- 27:33Speaker 1: what is what is the baddest and I mean the
- 27:36Speaker 1: baddest radio show in the lad man? Every man fears this.
- 27:50Speaker 1: When you go to the barbershop and you get your
- 27:53Speaker 1: hair cut and the barber is turning the chair with
- 27:56Speaker 1: his mid section that barbs people right there. That's that's
- 28:00Speaker 1: when you. Yeah, that's that's a very uncomfortable, very uncomfortable.
- 28:04Speaker 1: And you can't move your hands now, you man, you
- 28:08Speaker 1: got your when aw you folding your arms, you got
- 28:10Speaker 1: your hands inside. You don't know what to do. But
- 28:14Speaker 1: all your barbers out there, quit being lazy. Take your
- 28:17Speaker 1: hand and turn the chair quickly, using your pelvic to
- 28:21Speaker 1: move the chair. That's that's that. We don't like that.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I'm nasty. That's nasty, creak nasty. You gotta wear a mask.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know how. Yeah, exactly called. I
- 28:34Speaker 1: don't open. But to those that are, use your hands
- 28:42Speaker 1: with a chair. Okay, that is the message, all right,
- 28:48Speaker 1: thinking nephew. Coming up at the top of the hour,

- 30:28Speaker 1: have to tell us about that, Okay, I would love
- 30:31Speaker 1: to tell you about it. This is my seventh studio album, yes,
- 30:35Speaker 1: and this is my UM. I haven't had an album
- 30:38Speaker 1: out in eight years, so this album is very very
- 30:43Speaker 1: because I needed to get my music in the right place.
- 30:46Speaker 1: I really needed to partner up with with people that
- 30:49Speaker 1: respected me and respected my music and respect it, you know,
- 30:52Speaker 1: just everything about me, and I finally got to that
- 30:54Speaker 1: place would be one. You know, I have my own
- 30:57Speaker 1: label now and so UM, I just feel like my
- 31:00Speaker 1: creativity it's free and I was able to create a
- 31:04Speaker 1: body of work that I could be so proud of.
- 31:05Speaker 1: It's it's very rooted in R and B, but super abstract,
- 31:09Speaker 1: and I feel like, you know, this is an album
- 31:11Speaker 1: forever everyone. You know, everybody can find something on this
- 31:14Speaker 1: album that they can love, and it's it's my truth.
- 31:17Speaker 1: That's it's it's UM. I'm very very honored to UM
- 31:22Speaker 1: to put it out. I just feel it's really really
- 31:24Speaker 1: good about it. We love you, You're yeah. I don't
- 31:30Speaker 1: I don't know if people understand, especially in music today,
- 31:35Speaker 1: how prolific it is to have seven albums. I mean,
- 31:41Speaker 1: if you look at the world of music today, it
- 31:44Speaker 1: is so difficult to see album number two or three.
- 31:49Speaker 1: When you're talking to somebody who's releasing album numbers, these albums,
- 31:55Speaker 1: thank you these you know, this is you know, we
- 31:58Speaker 1: talked about eight, ten, twelve tracks, and seven of them. Girl, please,
- 32:04Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. I'm I'm very blessed to still
- 32:08Speaker 1: have you know, the passion that I have for music,
- 32:11Speaker 1: and like, I don't know where I would be without
- 32:13Speaker 1: my music. And I'm just I'm just so happy to
- 32:16Speaker 1: be doing it again and um and and working with
- 32:19Speaker 1: the kind of people that I was able to work
- 32:21Speaker 1: with on this album. Just so many great writers and
- 32:24Speaker 1: great producers. I'm just very blessed to get to get
- 32:27Speaker 1: another chance to do this again. So well, I could say,
- 32:31Speaker 1: as a true Brandy fan, your fans have been waiting
- 32:35Speaker 1: for you. So whatever, album, whatever, you do it again
- 32:38Speaker 1: and again, We're right here. Wait, no, you maybe girl
- 32:41Speaker 1: so much. Steve Harvey nation out to get the album

- 32:53Speaker 1: what do you want them? What's the takeaway? What? What
- 32:56Speaker 1: do you hope they get from this? Well? I want
- 33:00Speaker 1: them to. I want them to love the music, and
- 33:02Speaker 1: I want them to uh understand my truth and also
- 33:06Speaker 1: see their truth and in my songs, I want them
- 33:08Speaker 1: to relate to to what I experience. And you know,
- 33:11Speaker 1: if you just love quality music, you know, oh get
- 33:15Speaker 1: B seven. It's it's it's quality and it's from the heart.
- 33:18Speaker 1: You know, your voice does sound amazing, Brandy, Thank you.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I appreciate it. And you see me with your daughter.
- 33:25Speaker 1: I am. She's on this album. My daughter is featured
- 33:28Speaker 1: on a song called high Heels Yes, and it's it's
- 33:32Speaker 1: about It's an empowering song standing firm in your own
- 33:35Speaker 1: skin and you know, just growing into your best self.
- 33:38Speaker 1: And it was just such a treat to work with her,
- 33:40Speaker 1: just to really see her blossom into this, you know,
- 33:43Speaker 1: beautiful musician. And of course I want her to take
- 33:46Speaker 1: us a loan though, because I don't want her in
- 33:47Speaker 1: his business too fast. I'm miss something. She's Yes, Brandy,
- 33:59Speaker 1: Brandy girl is eighteen. She's eighteen. You gotta be kidding me.
- 34:08Speaker 1: She is. But the time went by so fast. To
- 34:11Speaker 1: be too, it goes by. But she is eighteen, and
- 34:16Speaker 1: I still treated like to eleven. When did you discover
- 34:21Speaker 1: she could sing? Brandy all very young? When she was
- 34:23Speaker 1: around five, you know, she was she was belding and
- 34:27Speaker 1: you know, doing her barbarado and you know, but now
- 34:30Speaker 1: she's coming, really coming into her own. And I had
- 34:33Speaker 1: a little studio here at the house, so she's always
- 34:35Speaker 1: working on her music and writing her songs. But you know,
- 34:38Speaker 1: like I said, I'm super overprotective. I don't. I don't
- 34:40Speaker 1: want her to go so fast and getting into this
- 34:43Speaker 1: business because you know, I just want her to develop
- 34:46Speaker 1: more as a person and m and get you know,
- 34:49Speaker 1: tougher skin before she really really gets out there. Yeah,
- 34:52Speaker 1: because you were in the business very young, yourself, very young,
- 34:55Speaker 1: and I had to go through a lot, So I don't.
- 34:57Speaker 1: I don't want her to go through what I went through. Well,
- 35:00Speaker 1: thank god she has you. Yeah, thank you, thank you,
- 35:04Speaker 1: thank god. Okay. The name of the album Everybody is

- 35:35Speaker 1: another hit that's coming up with twenty minutes after wrote
- 35:38Speaker 1: it off. Right after this, you're listening to Steve Harvey
- 35:44Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well, last Friday, you know, we asked you
- 35:48Speaker 1: guys to vote at Steve Harvey FM on Facebook for
- 35:51Speaker 1: which song you want a j Anthony Brown to finish
- 35:54Speaker 1: and murder the hit? So Jay tell us which one. Well,
- 35:58Speaker 1: the votes came in and it was unanimous that we
- 36:01Speaker 1: finished the Will Smith song men in Black and we
- 36:05Speaker 1: don't want you back. I like to thank my crew,
- 36:08Speaker 1: I wonder White, Ralph Hawkins Junior and myself and BG together, Yes, sir,

- 36:28Speaker 1: I don't get me here. Well, I ain't seen men
- 36:31Speaker 1: in black. You have not seen one, no man, But
- 36:35Speaker 1: you've heard the song. Though you've heard the song I
- 36:37Speaker 1: heard Russian. It's the same track, same track, same track,
- 36:45Speaker 1: same track. But I want you, I want you to
- 36:49Speaker 1: check out your boys flow. I mean it's it's seamless, okay,
- 36:54Speaker 1: but go here. Though I love it. I love all
- 36:57Speaker 1: this murder the head from it be from the Jab.
- 37:11Speaker 1: You never really had a back and that's the back.
- 37:13Speaker 1: And really need the morals up our country back. So
- 37:16Speaker 1: take the differ from me, Jack ain't feet. With other
- 37:18Speaker 1: lines and tone, we could not believe you really are
- 37:21Speaker 1: a horrible bread and we got a lot of fruit.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Hate to day that you were born talking at us.
- 37:26Speaker 1: Keep the Bible of God. It's the only one we
- 37:28Speaker 1: need to guide us. And we'll be let you bum
- 37:30Speaker 1: because you won't be mins. You will beat this your
- 37:32Speaker 1: veins on the ignorance. So we want to say, don't
- 37:35Speaker 1: come back, and you better get ready for the Black
- 37:37Speaker 1: Lives Matter attack. We ain't don't you don't und you
- 37:46Speaker 1: just just you ain't never did nothing right any cabinet
- 37:59Speaker 1: carsons only not white tweeting dude while in the old
- 38:02Speaker 1: whole room. It's coming. So just getting then in your
- 38:04Speaker 1: hands up with a wickness of all your sickness. You're
- 38:07Speaker 1: a liar, a victor. Minds countries over seeds really can't believe. Yeah,
- 38:12Speaker 1: I'm be and that's me. Then you say, with a
- 38:15Speaker 1: winning ticket, you know what I mean, come me and
- 38:17Speaker 1: around here just picking on you. So would you leave?
- 38:19Speaker 1: That's the Please just tick my pince say goodbye. Yeah,
- 38:33Speaker 1: we don't want you. Wow, I'm I'm convinced now, I'm
- 38:40Speaker 1: totally convinced. What Man, Jay are the two geniuses on
- 38:45Speaker 1: the show. I'm convinced that right there that that was greatness.
- 38:48Speaker 1: I mean, Jay, great look around if you look around
- 38:51Speaker 1: the show to blow your lip coming up in dirty
- 39:00Speaker 1: running after the hold. I'm glad y'all too, trying to
- 39:03Speaker 1: make y'all little ragged ass feel good. About yourself over.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey will be right back. You're listening to Steve
- 39:13Speaker 1: Harvey Mourning Show. According to the Black Information Network, hundreds
- 39:18Speaker 1: of mourners gathered at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta
- 39:22Speaker 1: to bid farewell to Congressman John Lewis. Three presidents spoke
- 39:26Speaker 1: at the funeral of the late civil rights icon. Three presidents.
- 39:30Speaker 1: We're talking, just three real presidents. Yes, President Clinton. President
- 39:37Speaker 1: President Obama delivered the yes. Yes. He spoke about bloody
- 39:42Speaker 1: Sunday when Congressman Lewis and other protesters were beaten by
- 39:46Speaker 1: police in Selma fifty five years ago. President Obama also
- 39:50Speaker 1: spoke about voter suppression. Take a listen. We may no
- 39:54Speaker 1: longer have to guess the number of jelly means in
- 39:57Speaker 1: the jar in order to cast a ballot. But even
- 40:03Speaker 1: as we sit here, there are those in power who
- 40:07Speaker 1: are doing their darnedest to discourage people from voting, by
- 40:14Speaker 1: closing polling locations and targeting minorities and students with restrictive
- 40:20Speaker 1: idea laws, and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision,
- 40:25Speaker 1: even undermining the postal service in the run up to
- 40:30Speaker 1: an election that's gonna be dependent on mail in ballots
- 40:34Speaker 1: so people don't get sick. That's the president that a
- 40:40Speaker 1: miss him. We do. President Jimmy Carter also sent his
- 40:44Speaker 1: condolences and a proclamation. So it was just a beautiful
- 40:48Speaker 1: service in everything. President Obama also reminded Americans to be villagent,
- 40:53Speaker 1: vigilant against the dark occurrence of this country's history. I saw, Jennifer,
- 41:04Speaker 1: if you don't if you don't vote, now, there's something
- 41:08Speaker 1: seriously wrong with you. Really, it really is something. No, really, man,
- 41:12Speaker 1: that's that's a true statement. This we're we're we're at
- 41:16Speaker 1: the critical juncture for our culture. See, this is critical
- 41:22Speaker 1: juncture for our culture. Look at the Black Lives Matter movement.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Look at the things that the people are saying who
- 41:30Speaker 1: are against the movement. In Arkansas, man, this white person
- 41:35Speaker 1: was out there holding the sign say black lives matter.
- 41:37Speaker 1: They recorded how many whites drove by him, saying stuff
- 41:41Speaker 1: like put that sign down, you're white, white women, white
- 41:46Speaker 1: lives matter too. See, they've missed the whole point of
- 41:50Speaker 1: what black lives matter is. So what we've got to
- 41:53Speaker 1: do is we have to prove that black lives matter
- 41:58Speaker 1: in a way that we've never shown him before or
- 42:00Speaker 1: and that's at the polls. We got the vote many
- 42:04Speaker 1: because we can do something about this that's happening to
- 42:07Speaker 1: us from this president, this diverseed, this divisiveness that he's spewing,
- 42:14Speaker 1: this talking about the suburbs saving us from the Fair
- 42:18Speaker 1: Housing Act lawder he wants to resis in trying to
- 42:21Speaker 1: get rid of Obamacare, trying to don't he don't care
- 42:24Speaker 1: nothing about pre existing conditions. We have an opportunity to
- 42:31Speaker 1: do something about this, and we have to get the
- 42:34Speaker 1: job done. We have to vote. And like President Obama
- 42:38Speaker 1: just said, they've closed so many polls in neighborhoods that

- 54:32Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter, all right, nephew. It says
- 54:36Speaker 1: I asked a married woman to marry me. That is
- 54:40Speaker 1: the subject. I asked a married woman to marry me,
- 54:43Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. For the past ten years, I have
- 54:47Speaker 1: lived with a really good female friend. Over the years,
- 54:50Speaker 1: we've shared a bed at times, and we've had sex
- 54:53Speaker 1: when it was convenient. Other than that, it was more
- 54:57Speaker 1: of a room roommate type of arrangement. She dated other
- 55:01Speaker 1: men and I dated other women. When we were at home,
- 55:05Speaker 1: we were best friends that happened to sleep in the
- 55:07Speaker 1: same bed sometimes. We never had our boyfriends or girlfriends
- 55:11Speaker 1: sleep over. And I was thinking this is a perfect setup.
- 55:15Speaker 1: But my roommate flipped the switch and got married last month.
- 55:19Speaker 1: She told me that her husband lives in another country
- 55:22Speaker 1: and she's been in a long distance relationship for a year.
- 55:26Speaker 1: She told me that her husband can't get a visa renewed,
- 55:31Speaker 1: so he cannot come back into the US right now.
- 55:34Speaker 1: I was really hurt to find out that she'd gotten
- 55:36Speaker 1: married on me, and she casually told me like it
- 55:39Speaker 1: was no big deal. It broke my heart and made
- 55:42Speaker 1: me realize that I'm in love with her. She's also
- 55:46Speaker 1: been going through in vitro fertilization IVF to have a
- 55:50Speaker 1: baby because she's forty and really wants a child. I
- 55:54Speaker 1: was supportive of all of that, and last year I
- 55:57Speaker 1: told her that i'd father her child. She brought that
- 56:00Speaker 1: up and told me she wants to go ahead with
- 56:03Speaker 1: her IVF and still have me donate sperm as the
- 56:06Speaker 1: father since her husband is stuck in another country indefinitely.
- 56:11Speaker 1: I want to be the father of the baby and
- 56:13Speaker 1: her husband. So I made an impulsive move and I
- 56:16Speaker 1: went and brought her a ring, bought her a ring,
- 56:19Speaker 1: and I asked her to marry me. She said she
- 56:22Speaker 1: does love me and she would think about it. My
- 56:25Speaker 1: life will not be the same if she leaves me.
- 56:27Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, Am I wrong for doing this? Now? What
- 56:30Speaker 1: if I'm just jealous and not in love? Wow? This
- 56:35Speaker 1: relationship right here, it's really crazy? Okay her dumb? Can
- 56:40Speaker 1: you get you're just in it for convenience anyway you said?
- 56:45Speaker 1: I mean, you guys have been friends with benefits for
- 56:47Speaker 1: ten years. Ten years. Let me put it this way,
- 56:51Speaker 1: You've just been using each other's bodies, never even talked
- 56:54Speaker 1: once about a future dating, moving out. Nothing. You guys
- 56:59Speaker 1: are just there sleeping together when it's convenient. She's forty
- 57:02Speaker 1: years old, still doing this, So what was she supposed
- 57:06Speaker 1: to do? Just stay there and entertain you, sleep with
- 57:10Speaker 1: you when it was convenient for another ten years. Listen,
- 57:13Speaker 1: life goes on, people change all the time, and that's
- 57:16Speaker 1: exactly what she did. She moved on, well sort of, okay,
- 57:23Speaker 1: yes and no, she moved on because she did say
- 57:25Speaker 1: she think about your proposal. Right, it just gets crazier
- 57:29Speaker 1: and crazier, and she wants your sperm for her baby
- 57:33Speaker 1: because her husband is out of the country indefinitely. What
- 57:40Speaker 1: all right? I think you know, regarding the ring and everything,
- 57:44Speaker 1: I think you got kind of scared because your normal
- 57:47Speaker 1: is about to change. No more free, convenient sex for you,
- 57:50Speaker 1: so you did get impulsive and go out and buy
- 57:54Speaker 1: her a ring. I don't think this is gonna work
- 57:57Speaker 1: for the simple fact that she's already married. That's a
- 58:01Speaker 1: But then you know, you guys don't look at each
- 58:04Speaker 1: other that way. I mean, it takes something drastic to
- 58:06Speaker 1: happen like this for you to come to your senses.
- 58:08Speaker 1: And you don't even know if that's really what's going on.
- 58:12Speaker 1: You two people are confused. It's been convenient and like
- 58:15Speaker 1: this for so long. You're confused. Now you don't know
- 58:18Speaker 1: how to accept the change. So I don't know you
- 58:22Speaker 1: know what's going to happen in the future because she
- 58:24Speaker 1: is married. She didn't talk about divorce. She just said
- 58:26Speaker 1: she's think about it. But the whole baby and sperm
- 58:29Speaker 1: thing from you, this letter is crazy. That's all I
- 58:33Speaker 1: gotta say. Steve, Wow, I don't know how to address
- 58:42Speaker 1: this letter is to accept, to just honestly tell you all,
- 58:46Speaker 1: I don't believe this letter. I really don't. Oh, I
- 58:50Speaker 1: believe he wrote it, but there's so many things in
- 58:54Speaker 1: the letter that I don't think is really valid. Been
- 58:58Speaker 1: dating this lady for tenue, you live with her. She's
- 59:03Speaker 1: a good friend. Y'all share bed at times, y'all have
- 59:07Speaker 1: sex when it's convenient. Other than that, it's more like
- 59:11Speaker 1: a roommate type arrangement. And then you go right back
- 59:15Speaker 1: and say she dated other men. I dated other women,
- 59:17Speaker 1: but when we were home, we were best friends that
- 59:21Speaker 1: happened to sleep in the same bed sometimes. We've never
- 59:26Speaker 1: had boyfriends and girlfriends sleepover. I was thinking it's a
- 59:32Speaker 1: perfect setup, so he said it was. She told me
- 59:37Speaker 1: that her husband lives in another country. She's been a long,
- 59:39Speaker 1: just relationship for a year. She told me that her
- 59:42Speaker 1: husband can't get his visa renews, so he can't come
- 59:45Speaker 1: back to the US. Right now, What where the hell
- 59:49Speaker 1: did that come from? Our just right out the damn letter,
- 59:55Speaker 1: you were just talking about how convenient it was, what
- 59:57Speaker 1: it good, what it was, how y'all don't br your
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: girlfriend boyfriends over, and you were thinking of perblack dinner.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Then she told me her husband live in another country.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Keep it right. It's a damn lie. We'll have part
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter, subject I asked a
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: married woman to marry me. We'll get back into it
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to show, all right, Steve,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: come on, let's recap if we can. Today's crazy Strawberry Letter.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: This subject I asked to marry a married woman to
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: marry me. I asked a married woman to marry me.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: I think this letter a bunch of bullcrap. I really
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: really do. Man, Either way, I don't I don't doubt that,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: he wrote the letter. I don't doubt nothing he said.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: He lived with it is what he thought was just
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: a really good friend. They sleep together, share bad at times,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: never had their boyfriend girlfriends over. You know, we just
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: roommates that type of arrangement. You know, she dated other
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: me and I dated other women. You know, and huh,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: you know when we at home, were the best of
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: friends to have him to sleep in the same bed.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: But my roommate flipped a switch and got married last month.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: She told me her husband lives in another country and
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: she's been a long Just what now he got a
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: stupid boy and can't get his visory nude so he
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: cannot come back into the US right now? Definitely boy,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: Then here he go. I was really hurt to find
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: out she got married on me, and she casually told
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: me like it was no big deal. That's cause brother,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: you getting played. I think the whole marriage was a lot.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: It broke your heart, and it made me realize that
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: I'm in love with her. What ten years, dude, ten years.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: It don't take no man ten years to know a
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: damn It don't take no woman ten years to know nothing.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: It don't take a damn child. A child can learn
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: how to walk in less than ten years. You can
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: get potty trained in less than ten years. You can
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: learn how to drive a car in less than ten years.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: You can find a boyfriend in less than ten years.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: You can boy you know, ten years. She's also been
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: going through in vitro fertilization to have a baby because
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: she really wants a child. She's forty. I was supported
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: of all that. Last year. I told her I'd father
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: her child. She bought that up and told me she
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: ready to go ahead and have me donate to sperm
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: as the father since her husband is still stuck in
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: another country. Infinitely, I want to be the father of
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: the baby and her husband. So I made an impulsive
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: move and I went on and bought a ring, asked
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: her to marry me. She said she does love me,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: and she would think about it. You can't be married
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: and think about it. Dog, Listen to me. My life
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: will never be the same as she leaves me. Stephen Shelley,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: I wrong for doing this now. And what if I'm
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: jealous and not in love? Hey, stupid, listen to me.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: You in love and you are jealous, and you said it.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: What if I'm just jealous and not in love. See,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: let me tell you what's happened, y'all. He only want
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: her now called somebody else got her? Or I think
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: she's playing him and they really got no husband, and
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: then got tired of that arrangement and then told him
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: she had one, so now you want her, called somebody
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: else want her? And then in the letter she turned
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: around she only want you for your sperm. I don't
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: really think she mard. I think she just told you
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: that because when you said, will you married me, she said,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: I think about it. You can have a husband and
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: think about this and this whole damn visa story and
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: in vitro and you gonna volunteer the sperm. And look, man,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: she'd been wanting this baby the whole whole time. She's
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: been wanting you to do it. She trying to play
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: it off like she don't want to get married. That's
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: why she casually said I have a husband now, and
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: your dumb ass went, what now you went and bought
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: the ring that she didn't thought about it. Now suppose
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: she'd come back and tell you, you know what, I
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: am gonna marry you. But the clicker is supposed she
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: does this. I just told you, I was getting married
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: to see what you was gonna do. I can't put
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: it past her. That'll be good. Then he'll see if
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: he's really in love with her or just jealous jealous? Right,
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: whatever happens, dog, you got whatever coming to you. It's
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: gonna come to you now. Why don't you just say, hey, look,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: I love you. I've known it for a while. I'm
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: too old to play these games. I don't want nobody else. Yeah,
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: I want to marry you. Let's go. And if she
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: go down to that courthouse and get married, then you
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: know goodn't here? Well it wasn't nobody else. But do
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: you really won't it anyway? Right? Or don't you? He's
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: been pranked? Yeah? This is ugly. Dog, you got played.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: You got played with that, I got somebody. Well that's
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: it man, you got played, pimp. Yeah, welcome to the ride.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Ever been played? Ever been played? Junior? Yeah? Yeah? Ever
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: been played? Tommy? Of course a hundred times. Ever been played? Jay?
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Why are you sing me? Bade me think about it?
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: You were finely? Yeah? Who happened? That's how you learn
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: from your mistakes? Was with me tonight before out with
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: the other dude? Yeah? Really, Junior? Happened. Yeah, happened that, Junior.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: I didn't have that. Listen, dude, the other dude came
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: to pick her up and she left. Okay, checkmate, Jay, Okay.

- 1:07:47Speaker 1: I hope he did. Hope he gonna say something about it. Oh,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: you know he is. He gonna have to say something
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: that I do have one complaint. Yeah, that's that, James.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: It's gonna be genius. Go ahead, all happy that day
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: playing Bone. But it was a lot to read. I mean,
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: it was a lot to read. But I hate him. Yeah. Well,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: there was a video to play before the game showing
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: the players take your part in various protests, and then
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: they had the Black Lives Matter logo on the court floor. Yes,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: I mean, is fully committed to this too. Man, got

- 1:08:58Speaker 1: and the Mavericks. Lord, let's not start off the restart
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: wrong the restart man, we just need this win. Come
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: on Hard and come on Russell. We just want one win.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Sod is back. We need this one win. We just
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: need to start right, it's the restart. We get the dog.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: It's just one game, Junior. Yeah, which I know how
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: the Rockets where see they love one than they gone.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: They're gonna start. But I'm telling right, Russell Westbrook gonna
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: snatch hard and be it live on TV watching that
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: mask off, and you can't talk to Russell Westbrook like
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: you talk to everybody else. He's not gonna take that.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Uh no, he is not gonna take that funny Junior,
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: No he's not. I'll tell you can get that whole
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: everybody gonna see it. What your ever gonna see your
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: whole face because he gonna take that whole. Bid back

- 1:09:56Speaker 1: don't talk to Russell. You don't care how many shots
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: he missed. Don't talk to dude right there? All right,
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: thank you, Junior. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: some trending entertainment news right after this. You're listening to
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: show in today's trending entertainment news. Some good news. Tamar
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: Braxton breaks her silence on her suicide attempt. She released
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: a statement saying that she is on the path to healing.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: That is great news. Yes. Following her recent hospitalization after
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: she was found unresponsive in a hotel room, Tamar posted,
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: it was only God's grace and his mercy on my
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: attempt to end my pain and my life that I
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: am here to utilize my voice. She said that she
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: counts on most to be. What she counts on most
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: is to be a good mother, a good daughter, and
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: a good partner and a good sister. Yeah. So yeah,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: greatness A really nice person man. Yeah, she's really a
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: nice person, man, Really, one on one, she is really
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: really a nice person. She's twitty, she's got great personality.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: You know, I hate that people. I feel for anybody
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: that lets Satan rob them of their destiny. That's his
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: only mission. Yeah, he's the ultimate evil one. I'm just
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: glad she got back towards the light because she's really
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: really a cool person man. Yeah, definitely sure. And she
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: thanked everyone for their prayers and their well wishes. Yeah
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: she did. Um And In other news, this is sad
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: former presidential hopeful and Trump supporter Herman Kaine has passed
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: away from COVID nineteen. Herman Kane had been hospitalized for
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: more than a month with a coronavirus after attending the
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: president's ill faded Tulsa a rally without a mask. Uh.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: Mister Kane, who made his fortune in the restaurant business,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: sought the Republican nomination for the twenty and twelve election.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Room we all remember that, but suspended his kid name right, yeah,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: over allegations of sexual misconduct, which he strongly denied. He's
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: been a supporter of President Trump for a while, and
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: he's been a strong supporter. Trump said he loved Herman
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: Kane and he was his friend. You got my condolence, Yeah,
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: I mean yeah, I don't. I don't wish I don't
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: wish death on nobody, nobody. I don't kill what you do. Yeah, exactly,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: that's the same. I mean, you know, he got family,
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: he got kids, grandkids, you know, yeah, I don't. I
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: don't care if you look man. You're not my enemy
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: because you're a Republican or conservative. Absolutely no. You know,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: you become my enemy when you do something directed at me. Yeah,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: when you're yeah, you know, but if you got different
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: belief or policy than me, you're not my enemy. I mean,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: you know, like I always say, Look though, the golden
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: Eagle is the symbol of America. In order for an
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: eagle to fly properly, it needs a right wing and
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: a left wing. Right it don't fly with one wing partner.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: So I don't mind a person having a different way
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: of going about it than me. You know. You know,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: if you don't have values, that's one thing. But now
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: you can't enforce all of your values on me, no
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: more than I can force all of mine on you.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: That's kind of what President George W. Bush said at
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: John Lewis's memorial Congressman John Lewis's memorial. He said that
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: he and John Lewis didn't always see eye to eye
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: on things. He said, but we're Americans, and that's why
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: we live in this country because we can agree to disagree. Y. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: we can be on the wrong, you know, on different sides,
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: but it will come together, you know. So that's basically
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: what you're saying as well. Stud And see Donald Trump
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: is the direct opposite you either on his side or
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: guess just it or your enemy that Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: There was no reaching across the aisle with this guy.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: That's why, once again we have a say soul in this.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: The only reason your vote, the only way your vote
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: doesn't count, is if you don't cast it. Cast your
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: vote this November to go to when we all vote
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: dot org. If you're not a registered voter, go to
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: when we all vote dot org and registered who didn't
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: cast your vote? Then you voted for Trump. Trust me,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: you did. Huh huh. That's how it works, man. We
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: gotta vote. We have to vote, all right. Coming up,
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: more music on some trending topics and headlines at twenty

- 1:16:42Speaker 1: We'll be back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Show right after this. You're listening to show. According to
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: the Black Information Network, hundreds of mourners gathered at the
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta to bid farewell to Congressman
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: John Lewis. Three President spoke at the funeral of the
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: late civil rights icon. Three presidents. We're talking three real presidents, Yes,
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: President Clinton, President President Obama delivered. Yes. Yes. He spoke
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: about bloody Sunday when Congressman Lewis and other protesters were
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: beaten by police in Selma fifty five years ago. President
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: Obama also spoke about voter suppression. Take a listen. We
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: may no longer have to guess the number of jelly
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: beans in the jar in order to cast a ballot.
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: But even as we sit here, there are those in
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: power who are doing their darndest to discourage people from voting,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: by closing polling locations and targeting minorities and students with
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: restrictive idea laws, and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: even undermining the postal service in the run up to
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: an election that's gonna be dependent on mail in ballots
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: so people don't get sick. Woh, that's a president now
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: they miss him, we do. President Jimmy Carter also sent
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: his condolences and a proclamation, so it was just a
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: beautiful service and everything. President Obama also reminded Americans to
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: be villigent, vigilant against the dark occurrence of this country's history.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: And I saw the beginning. I saw Jennifer J. Jay.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: If you don't if you don't vote, now, there's something
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: seriously wrong with you. Really, that's that's a true statement. Well,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: we are at a critical juncture for our culture. See,
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: this is critical juncture for our culture. Look at the
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter movement. Look at the things that the
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: people are saying who are against a movement. In Arkansas. Man,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: this white person was out there holding the sign say
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: black lives matter. They recorded how many whites drove by him,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: saying stuff like put that sign down, you're white, white women,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: white lives matter too. See, they've missed the whole point
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: of what black lives matter is. So what we've got
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: to do is we have to prove that black lives
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: matter in a way that we've never shown him before.
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: And that's at the polls, because we can do something
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: about this that's happening to us from this president coming up.
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: It's our last break of the day. Ain't gonna be
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: no tip, Okay, there's no tip. Lead him chickaways and
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: drink at the dough. Okay, there's no there's no tip,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: all right. Also coming up closing remarks from the one
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: and only, our fearless leader, Steve Harvey. That is coming
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: up at forty nine minutes after right after to this
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: you're listening show. All right, Here we are our last
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: break of the day of the week on this Friday. Wow,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: a lot of things going on this week, but we
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: got we got going. Yes, I have a very important announcement.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: If you are a privately owned fulfillment house kai where
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: you located at, please hit me up at hotted than

- 1:20:51Speaker 1: fulfilming house is fulfilled by Amazon. I'm using Amazon, but
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: you know, I'm starting to a lot of orders, so
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: I'm looking for a privately owned fulfilming house. You know,
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: not that Amazon is not working good, because it really is.
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: But I'd like to throw some business to a privately
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: owned fulfilming house. So if you're privately owned fulfilming house,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: hit me up at hotter than a mophone dot com.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: I'm trying to put some money in your pocket. All right, Steve,
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: you got some wisdom? Gets on you? Now? Yeah? What
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: you got some wisdom somewhere? That's very close to an
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: idea I'll come up with Jay soon. Maybe you guys
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: couldn't do some business together. I have an interesting idea
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: that I was going to do. So anyway, Um, yeah,
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: we'll have that talk. Listen. Um, this this election that's
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: coming that we're faced with. I don't want anybody to
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: sleep on the importance of what has to happen in November.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: This is this is serious, y'all. This is serious. Don't
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: let the distractions get in the way. President Obama, when
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: he was speaking at Congressman Lewis's funeral, he talked about
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: how voter supe voter suppression is in full effect right now,
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: how they are closing polling places in neighborhoods of color
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: and condensing them down to one that's creating these long lines.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: They are going to be some long lines this November,
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: make no mistake about it. But you can early vote,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: which is just as important. You can earlier vote, and
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: then the people who cannot early vote when they go there,
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: they will be standing in regular lines. We've got to
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: be considered of those people. If you can early vote,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: we have to early vote. But in order to early vote,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: you have to be registered. But really, man, you have
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: to understand the significance of this. Stop saying that your
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: vote doesn't count, because it does. Every vote counts. The
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: only way your vote don't count is if you don't
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: cast it. Every vote counts, yours included. We need you
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: to vote. We need everybody to vote this year because
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: I just have to tell you, man, you're not going
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: to like another four years of this. You're just not. Look,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: look what's happened has already been so many. First, we
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: have a president that tweets. We have a president that
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: doesn't care about the people he's leading. We have a
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: president who makes false state after false statement after false statement.
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: We have a president who's divisive. We have a president
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: in office where a white supremist group in hate groups
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: think they have a friend in the White House. We
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: have a president that does not care about the oppressed.
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: We have a president. Every time he takes up a cause,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: if you notice carefully, it's got something to do with
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: people of color, Immigration, the kneeling, the Black Lives Matter,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: all of this, Docta everything, every issue he takes up,
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: the ban on Muslims, every issue he takes up has
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: something to do with people of color. Why would you
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: not pay attention to this? Now? If you are non
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: African American and you are hearing me, I can't tell
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: you how gratifying it is is to see those of
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: you who are supporting the Black Lives Matter in protest,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: whether it's silent, it's just making a donation, it's standing
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: out there with a sign. I can't tell you how
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: important that is. But I know this for a fact, man,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: I know a lot of non African Americans that's sick
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: of this mess. Man, sick of this mess. Right here,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: we cannot we cannot allow this to happen again. For
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: four years, he has done everything in his power to
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: divide us. And I'm telling you, in November, you have
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: a chance to do something about that. All you got
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: to do is vote, show everyone that black lives matter everywhere,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: not just when it comes to police activity towards people
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: of color, not just when it comes to fair housing,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: but when it comes to voting. We can help determine
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: who's in that White House in November. When we all
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: vote dot org. It's what you have to go to
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: to make sure you're registered. And then y'all get smart.
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: Get smart when you know that it's time that you
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: can early vote in your community, Tell your friends and relatives,
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: when you know it's time that that that you can
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: sign up. When you learn things about it, share that information.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: We got some business to take care of this November. Y'all.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Do not sleep this election. This is a very very
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: important one. Are you not hearing what Barack Obama is saying?
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: It's serious, y'all. When we all vote dot org register now.
