- 0:12Speaker 1: make a difference for you on this show. You can
- 0:14Speaker 1: only exceed expectations by believing in yourself. People always talk
- 0:18Speaker 1: about their purpose of gifts. If you have a gift,
- 0:20Speaker 1: lead with your gifts and remember this, don't let your friends, family,
- 0:23Speaker 1: a coworker stop you from planning or living your dreams.
- 0:27Speaker 1: My guest is Tracy Edmonds. I've known it for a
- 0:29Speaker 1: long time. An incredible Emmy Award winning TV and film
- 0:32Speaker 1: producer as well as entrepreneur. I definitely want to emphasize entrepreneur.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Her film and television work includes shows like movies like
- 0:40Speaker 1: Jumping the Broom, Uh, Josie and the Pussycat, and TV
- 0:44Speaker 1: shows like Games, People Play, Dian Sanders, Family Playbook, UH College,
- 0:50Speaker 1: Hell So Food, TV ap DA type Ship with my
- 0:52Speaker 1: girl Felicia Henderson who's a good friend of mine and
- 0:55Speaker 1: now she's doing a reboot. That's what we got on
- 0:57Speaker 1: the show. And talk about reboot of college here celebrity
- 1:00Speaker 1: addition mean h b c U, y'all in Texas Southern University,
- 1:04Speaker 1: that's my hometown. So but I also want to talk
- 1:07Speaker 1: about her entrepreneurial side, health and wellness when she is
- 1:10Speaker 1: always pushing out a call. She has a website which
- 1:13Speaker 1: is fantastic that I helped launch several years ago called
- 1:16Speaker 1: all right now dot com. Please welcome to money making
- 1:18Speaker 1: Conversation because I got the energy and I got to love.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Please welcome Tracy Edmonds. How you, Tracy? Thank you? Always
- 1:25Speaker 1: get to see you well. First of all, you know
- 1:27Speaker 1: the beauty of what we're doing here is a HBCU show,
- 1:31Speaker 1: and you've done it in the past. You did for
- 1:33Speaker 1: like seven or eight seasons previously, right, yes, seven seasons
- 1:38Speaker 1: and this was used to undergraduate students. He was a
- 1:40Speaker 1: young adult pursuing. Now you're taking I like to use
- 1:44Speaker 1: the word grown folks, because they've grown folms. You got
- 1:46Speaker 1: many leaks all the way down that Little India loves.
- 1:49Speaker 1: She may be the youngest person on the show, and
- 1:51Speaker 1: uh and dream Doll may be mad I'm younger, but
- 1:54Speaker 1: but again they're the two youngest people on the show.
- 1:56Speaker 1: So you have you have these like these eighteen or
- 1:58Speaker 1: thirty four Allenneo gen Z type people, and then you
- 2:03Speaker 1: have these uh these are these people who are beyond
- 2:05Speaker 1: the millennial, who are veterans of of reality shows, like
- 2:10Speaker 1: Nini Nicks and ray J. Talk about the casting. Oh yeah,
- 2:14Speaker 1: so we have a it's an all African American cast,
- 2:17Speaker 1: but we wanted to divide. I'm sorry, can yeah, no problem.
- 2:22Speaker 1: So let's let's talk about this. Okay, you have Nianie
- 2:25Speaker 1: Leaks and you have ray J on the show, and
- 2:27Speaker 1: I want to emphasize that because they have veterans of
- 2:29Speaker 1: reality shows. When you bring on veterans, I'm just being honest,
- 2:34Speaker 1: sometimes they could be no at alls and sometimes they
- 2:36Speaker 1: could be assets. Nini is a great person. Ray J
- 2:40Speaker 1: is a fantastic ber. I go way back to him
- 2:42Speaker 1: with his sister Brandy, all the way back to Moesia.
- 2:44Speaker 1: That's a know a long I've known him. So talk
- 2:47Speaker 1: about them being assets on the show because of the
- 2:50Speaker 1: past experience or reality shows. Oh yeah, so, so Nini
- 2:54Speaker 1: and ray J are absolute reality veterans. Of course, we
- 2:58Speaker 1: all know Nini was on Old Housewives of Atlanta forever
- 3:02Speaker 1: and ray J, you know, love and hip hop and
- 3:04Speaker 1: you know, and he goes way back to Moitia days
- 3:06Speaker 1: doing scripted TV. So they are TV pros and we're
- 3:11Speaker 1: really amazing because they were kind of like they kind
- 3:14Speaker 1: of like shepherded the rest of the cast. And so
- 3:17Speaker 1: we had a lot of young cast members, you know,
- 3:19Speaker 1: some who had never done reality TV before, and Needy
- 3:23Speaker 1: and ray J came in as pros and just kind
- 3:27Speaker 1: of relaxed everyone, got everyone comfortable being in front of
- 3:31Speaker 1: the cameras, where you know, after the cameras around for
- 3:34Speaker 1: a while, you kind of stopped stop thinking about them
- 3:37Speaker 1: and just kind of ignore them and just kind of
- 3:38Speaker 1: be yourselves. And so they helped just kind of relax
- 3:41Speaker 1: and warm everybody up and really, you know, just kind
- 3:44Speaker 1: of helped keep things alive. And you know, in the
- 3:48Speaker 1: houses that's important because this is all energy we see
- 3:51Speaker 1: a lot of. You know, first of all, the producers
- 3:54Speaker 1: did a great job of keeping the story moving, of
- 3:56Speaker 1: keeping it feeling like there was a rhythm to the show,
- 3:59Speaker 1: because that's what you have to do. You have these
- 4:01Speaker 1: these eight people are thrown into the house. I don't
- 4:03Speaker 1: care how professionally you are. There are personalities and all
- 4:06Speaker 1: personality jail immediately, okay. And and the beauty of this
- 4:10Speaker 1: particular series is that if you watch India, I'm a
- 4:13Speaker 1: rally Joe veteran Tracy. So they all when they when
- 4:17Speaker 1: they bring in the cast, they start with and they
- 4:20Speaker 1: end with the shocker. They I was in with the shocker.
- 4:22Speaker 1: The shocker was the queen came in that was Nini Leaks.
- 4:27Speaker 1: And then you came in with the end of the
- 4:30Speaker 1: show shocker, Stacy, And she came in strong. Her entrance
- 4:37Speaker 1: was strong. We did not tell Stacy how to dress.
- 4:40Speaker 1: She came in wearing her cowboy hat, her cowboy boots
- 4:44Speaker 1: and completely for her Texas experiences. And so she came
- 4:49Speaker 1: in with a bad Yeah. Well, you know, she's still beautiful, everybody,
- 4:53Speaker 1: this woman is an incredibly beautiful woman, but she's also
- 4:57Speaker 1: Stacy Dash and Stacy Dashed and is throughout her life
- 5:01Speaker 1: has proven that living in an environment with other people
- 5:05Speaker 1: may not be the best thing, but she's gonna try
- 5:07Speaker 1: it out on this show. Now, how did the whole
- 5:10Speaker 1: casting process go through, because let me just go through
- 5:13Speaker 1: the cast member your Ninni Leaks, yea Ray J Lama
- 5:16Speaker 1: Older if you don't know him, played in the Nba
- 5:18Speaker 1: Kadashi and just to get Lama old him Kadashi in Okay,
- 5:21Speaker 1: just you remember him. Now you're Big frieda who out
- 5:24Speaker 1: of New Orleans who I've known many years, the Queen
- 5:26Speaker 1: of Bouts, the Queen of Bouts, and there's a great
- 5:28Speaker 1: conversation she has on the show with Slim Thug who's
- 5:31Speaker 1: also on the show, but he calls himself Big Slim
- 5:33Speaker 1: on the show. And then of course you have Dime
- 5:36Speaker 1: dream Dog, who's a rapper out of the Bronx and
- 5:39Speaker 1: India Love who I just loved her death because she's
- 5:41Speaker 1: coming out of her shell. That is basically the cast
- 5:44Speaker 1: that you have that you put him in this beautiful
- 5:47Speaker 1: matching which I'm so jealous because I'm from Houston. I
- 5:50Speaker 1: don't know where the house is at, but I want
- 5:52Speaker 1: to rent it for a weekend. Talk about the house
- 5:55Speaker 1: because it's the star to show to me. Then talk
- 5:57Speaker 1: about the cast. Oh yeah, so okay, So first of all,
- 6:00Speaker 1: just so people know, when you have to find a
- 6:03Speaker 1: house for reality TV series, it can be really tough
- 6:06Speaker 1: because you need a humongous house with tons of bedrooms.
- 6:10Speaker 1: We had eight cast members and they all wanted their
- 6:13Speaker 1: own room. Uh, most of them did not get their
- 6:16Speaker 1: own room. That became an issue as well. So um,
- 6:20Speaker 1: but you know, he had to find, you know, a
- 6:23Speaker 1: house that could accommodate everybody and also find one that
- 6:26Speaker 1: looked really good on camera as well. And so we
- 6:29Speaker 1: were really lucky. We found this brick mansion that kind
- 6:32Speaker 1: of resembled like an old dormitory house or something. Um,
- 6:37Speaker 1: and it was on the lake, and so we had
- 6:39Speaker 1: a chance to you know, put the cast in a
- 6:42Speaker 1: beautiful environment, um where they spent half their time and
- 6:46Speaker 1: then the other half of the time was spent at
- 6:48Speaker 1: attending classes at Southern University and so um. So yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 1: so you get a chance to see how the cast
- 6:55Speaker 1: navigated which rooms they wanted to stay in, you know,
- 7:00Speaker 1: which roommates they wanted to have, and at the same
- 7:03Speaker 1: time go to school and get that HPC you experience.
- 7:07Speaker 1: We'll be right back with more Money Making Conversations Masterclass
- 7:11Speaker 1: with Rushan McDonald. Now let's return to Money Making Conversations
- 7:16Speaker 1: Masterclass with Rashan McDonald. Let's talk about that HBC experience.
- 7:21Speaker 1: Texas Southern University, one of the great HBCUs just did
- 7:24Speaker 1: an event and like I said, we were crossing lines
- 7:26Speaker 1: here because I was there April two for an HBCU
- 7:30Speaker 1: College day uh tour where I bring in like fourteen
- 7:34Speaker 1: HBCUs to the campus of Texas Southern. We had prayer
- 7:38Speaker 1: view there, We had the Mississippi Valleence State there with
- 7:40Speaker 1: Kentucky State, Maryland easton Shore, wildly college old campus recruiting students.
- 7:46Speaker 1: That's how that's how family it is. When hbc used
- 7:49Speaker 1: to actually allow other HBCUs to come on campus, were
- 7:52Speaker 1: roughly four thousand parents and influences and counsels showed up
- 7:56Speaker 1: to my event. But all the time we were planning
- 7:59Speaker 1: this event, Tracy, they kept saying, Oh, we're busy, We're busy,
- 8:03Speaker 1: We're busy. Finally we got there, they said, whoa they
- 8:06Speaker 1: just left campus? Who? We said, who? College Hill, College Town.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yes. Our cast was busy with Sean because
- 8:15Speaker 1: we wanted them to have a real HBCU experience, not
- 8:19Speaker 1: like some little faith produced one where they where they
- 8:22Speaker 1: just go in for a couple of minutes each day
- 8:23Speaker 1: and pretend like they're going to school. No, our cast
- 8:26Speaker 1: really went to class every day. They took African American studies,
- 8:31Speaker 1: they took business management, they took law, they took biology
- 8:36Speaker 1: and they had tasks, they had final exams, they had
- 8:40Speaker 1: mid terms, they had presentations. And then on top of that,
- 8:44Speaker 1: our casts also had the extracurricular HBCU experience. And so
- 8:49Speaker 1: we see Stacy Dash joined the dance team, Meani and
- 8:55Speaker 1: Raye joined the debate team. Lamar helped out with the
- 8:58Speaker 1: basketball team, and you know, I forgot dreamed all became
- 9:03Speaker 1: a cheerleader, you know. And so they really took the
- 9:07Speaker 1: HBCU experience seriously and just kind of wanted to embrace
- 9:11Speaker 1: and absorb everything in Texas. Southern has offen. We had
- 9:14Speaker 1: a lot to offer. And let's talk about the whole experience.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Because you you graduated from you attended HBCU Southern University,
- 9:23Speaker 1: and well, I I graduated from Stanford. I did my
- 9:26Speaker 1: undergraduate work at Stanford University, and then um I was
- 9:30Speaker 1: blessed and got a doctorate from Southern Southern. Very well,
- 9:34Speaker 1: it sounds like a graduate to me. She graduated for something,
- 9:36Speaker 1: you know, easily. Okay, it's so funny. Our relationship is
- 9:39Speaker 1: so funny because you know, my freshman year, I enrolled
- 9:42Speaker 1: in Southern University in Baton Rouge. I didn't at team.
- 9:45Speaker 1: You know, just this has been like off on that
- 9:48Speaker 1: we've been crossing our line so much. It's great to
- 9:51Speaker 1: reconnect with and you know, you guys, Southern was the
- 9:54Speaker 1: very first university that we shot College Hill at, so
- 9:57Speaker 1: it's absolutely absolutely so she went back to home. Now
- 10:00Speaker 1: she's coming back to my home in Houston, Texas. Now.
- 10:02Speaker 1: African American Studies. That was one of the things that
- 10:05Speaker 1: stood out to me, and I wanted to talk about
- 10:07Speaker 1: that because my my college degree is in mathematics, my
- 10:10Speaker 1: minors in sociology, and I took African American Studies because
- 10:14Speaker 1: I heard it was an easy grade. I heard that
- 10:15Speaker 1: was one of the easy grades on campus. I went
- 10:17Speaker 1: into the class and realized what I had been educated
- 10:21Speaker 1: in life was nothing. I knew nothing about my black experience.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I knew nothing that I was not aware of our
- 10:27Speaker 1: contributions as African American or black people or colored people
- 10:31Speaker 1: or negroes, whatever they wanted the callers, as we transcended
- 10:34Speaker 1: through this country and built this country and made a
- 10:36Speaker 1: difference in this country. And HBCUs, which started in the
- 10:39Speaker 1: A ten sixty five, have played that same tremendous role.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Why was it important to have a class like African
- 10:45Speaker 1: American Studies on an HBCU show and black people go
- 10:49Speaker 1: to the HBCU, Well, I mean I think it, um,
- 10:54Speaker 1: it showcases what makes the HBCU experience so unique and
- 10:59Speaker 1: so special, and so part of what makes the HBCU
- 11:03Speaker 1: experience so wonderful is that you have professors who look
- 11:08Speaker 1: like you and professors who can relate to you. And
- 11:12Speaker 1: so when you're an African American student and you're being
- 11:15Speaker 1: taught by an African American professor, they can connect to
- 11:19Speaker 1: you in a deeper and more meaningful way that I
- 11:23Speaker 1: think you know, um, someone that's outside of your racial
- 11:27Speaker 1: identity can And so starting the students off with African
- 11:33Speaker 1: American studies was like, it was just a no brainer
- 11:35Speaker 1: for us, because you know, the other thing that's important
- 11:38Speaker 1: is to know where you came from, you know, know
- 11:41Speaker 1: where you're heading, and also feel empowered. You know that
- 11:45Speaker 1: you're black, and so a lot of you know these
- 11:48Speaker 1: classes these days. You know, while it's important to know
- 11:50Speaker 1: the history of slavery and the challenges and the obstacles
- 11:55Speaker 1: that we've had to overcome as a race, it's also
- 11:59Speaker 1: important to know the accomplishments that we've made as a race,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and so learning about African Americans who have helped build
- 12:08Speaker 1: this country, you know, have invented things that have impacted
- 12:12Speaker 1: the entire world. You know, learning about all those contributions
- 12:16Speaker 1: that African Americans have made really helps you feel empowered
- 12:20Speaker 1: as an individual because you look at you know, your
- 12:23Speaker 1: you know people, your predecessors, and you go, wow, they
- 12:26Speaker 1: did this and you know, and they didn't have one
- 12:28Speaker 1: tenth of the resources that I have now, you know, Um,
- 12:32Speaker 1: that makes me feel like I can do this too.
- 12:35Speaker 1: And so we wanted our you know, our cast members
- 12:38Speaker 1: to feel inspired and encourage and be able to take
- 12:42Speaker 1: everything that they're learning from this HBC you experience and
- 12:45Speaker 1: apply that in today's society and in their lives and
- 12:48Speaker 1: in their careers. I'm talking to the Emmy Award winning
- 12:50Speaker 1: television producer Tracy Edmonds. Tracy was really interesting in watching
- 12:54Speaker 1: the cast members eight cast members as on the show,
- 12:57Speaker 1: Like I said, Ninnie Leaks, Ray j lamar Old and Freda, Uh,
- 13:01Speaker 1: Stacy Dash, dream Dog, India Love and slim A Big
- 13:05Speaker 1: Slam on the show. Uh. You know, there's a certain
- 13:09Speaker 1: amount of respect because you know, you watch these realities
- 13:11Speaker 1: shows just feel like people have agendas. They have these
- 13:14Speaker 1: issues and they bring up to the show, and I
- 13:17Speaker 1: felt a natural or natural goal was to be very
- 13:21Speaker 1: respectful to the brand of HBCUs. I'm talking about the
- 13:24Speaker 1: cast members and was that was that? Was that a
- 13:28Speaker 1: natural for them to go that direction? You got set
- 13:31Speaker 1: them down and go, look, we're doing a show on
- 13:34Speaker 1: an HBCU campus. A HBCU campus are what they represent
- 13:39Speaker 1: in our society. We don't want to do anything foolish.
- 13:42Speaker 1: It did that conversation have to be had or with
- 13:44Speaker 1: just a natural butture guidance by the cast, I can
- 13:48Speaker 1: honestly say, ra Sean, we didn't even have to have
- 13:51Speaker 1: that conversation. Each has member when I talked to them
- 13:54Speaker 1: about joining the show. I'm being totally honest. They were
- 13:59Speaker 1: all genuinely organically excited about attending an HBCU and they
- 14:08Speaker 1: they could not wait for the to get to Houston
- 14:11Speaker 1: and to get it going, and especially Texas Southern. And
- 14:14Speaker 1: so a couple of our cast members had affiliations with
- 14:18Speaker 1: Texas Southern, you know in the past. They either had
- 14:21Speaker 1: a family member that had had attended you know, um
- 14:24Speaker 1: Texas Southern, you know, or one of our cast members
- 14:28Speaker 1: had attended it briefly and then had to drop out.
- 14:31Speaker 1: And so, um, they knew how incredible Texas Southern is
- 14:35Speaker 1: as an h B c U and so they were
- 14:38Speaker 1: really really excited about attending it, and so we didn't
- 14:41Speaker 1: have to pump them up. They were already pumped up. Well,
- 14:44Speaker 1: it showed and I was very fairy worried about that,
- 14:47Speaker 1: and there was the word was quickly erased early on
- 14:50Speaker 1: in the in the first episode, you realized this is
- 14:52Speaker 1: a show that's gonna really be groundbreaking and also learning
- 14:57Speaker 1: career for the cast members as well because of the
- 14:59Speaker 1: fact that did the agendas and putting together a show
- 15:02Speaker 1: like this. You know, Stacy dash let's go back to
- 15:06Speaker 1: the Elephant in the room, you know, the bull and
- 15:08Speaker 1: the China Shop. Okay, based on her comments you know
- 15:12Speaker 1: show on Fox News. Uh she said there, why do
- 15:15Speaker 1: we have black history mad? When they asked her on
- 15:18Speaker 1: the show where she African American, she clearly says she's uh,
- 15:22Speaker 1: Mexican and black, So she would acknotge she's African Americans.
- 15:26Speaker 1: She's some type of mixture. That's why she said a
- 15:29Speaker 1: biracial or something like that. So how did she get
- 15:32Speaker 1: on the show? They see that well, actually, we wanted
- 15:36Speaker 1: to have a cast that was coming from very diverse
- 15:40Speaker 1: experiences and perspectives, because you know, it would be boring
- 15:44Speaker 1: to have eight cast members who all thought exactly alike
- 15:48Speaker 1: and who all had the same perspective in backgrounds, and
- 15:50Speaker 1: so we hand picked every single cast member from their background,
- 15:56Speaker 1: their history, their personalities, their perspectives, because we just we
- 16:01Speaker 1: wanted to mix it up and have like a melting
- 16:03Speaker 1: pot of you know, all kinds of different perspectives. It's
- 16:06Speaker 1: more interesting for discussions and for the journeys that we
- 16:10Speaker 1: wanted to chronicle. And so Stacy obviously was coming from
- 16:14Speaker 1: a conservative background. You know, she had you know, UH
- 16:18Speaker 1: had an experience uh as a host for her Fox News.
- 16:22Speaker 1: She's been very vocal about some of her thoughts about
- 16:27Speaker 1: you know, black culture, and so we thought it would
- 16:30Speaker 1: be very interesting to have someone who's coming from a
- 16:33Speaker 1: conservative perspective attend an HBCU because HBCUs can really open
- 16:41Speaker 1: your eyes and open your perspective on the black experience.
- 16:46Speaker 1: And so we were hoping that Stacy, through the classes
- 16:50Speaker 1: that she took, through her experience on campus and with
- 16:53Speaker 1: our cast members, would really you know, kind of continue
- 16:57Speaker 1: to grow her perspective and a pause sative direction on
- 17:01Speaker 1: the African American experience and black culture. And so that
- 17:06Speaker 1: was our our goal in casting Stacy and Stacy actually,
- 17:11Speaker 1: you know, when I spoke to her prior to you know,
- 17:14Speaker 1: starting to film things, she was super excited about going
- 17:19Speaker 1: to n HBCU and about attending Texas Southern and was
- 17:23Speaker 1: positive about what she thought her experience was gonna entail.
- 17:29Speaker 1: We'll leave it at that and then we'll move on
- 17:31Speaker 1: to some of the other great projects because this is
- 17:33Speaker 1: an incredible show. It already has prepared, uh Aaron right
- 17:38Speaker 1: now streaming right now on BT Plus. It's called the
- 17:41Speaker 1: Celebrity Edition College Hill. Uh. It's a show that was
- 17:44Speaker 1: previous produced by the Ammy Award winning Tracy Edmonds and
- 17:47Speaker 1: at Southern University. Now is at Texas Southern University, Southern
- 17:51Speaker 1: University in Baton Rouge, Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas,
- 17:54Speaker 1: and to show the stars an incredible diverse you got diversity,
- 17:58Speaker 1: you got it, you know you you got it and
- 18:01Speaker 1: and and it's and it's really and I say this
- 18:03Speaker 1: really in a complimentary way. It's kind of like a
- 18:06Speaker 1: naiveness that's in the house outside of ray j and
- 18:09Speaker 1: outside of the nine leaks, you can see the awesome
- 18:12Speaker 1: virgin bodies in this world. So you get a lot
- 18:14Speaker 1: of good, honest conversations. Uh, and that a call on
- 18:18Speaker 1: tape And I think that's a blessing when you do
- 18:20Speaker 1: reality shows, correct, Oh, absolutely, And and your hopes and
- 18:25Speaker 1: doing reality shows is that the cast members will learn
- 18:28Speaker 1: from each other and we'll grow from being around each other.
- 18:32Speaker 1: And you know, one of the most amazing individuals that
- 18:35Speaker 1: I hadn't had a chance to spend time with until
- 18:38Speaker 1: this show is Big Freedom. And so um Big Freeda
- 18:42Speaker 1: is coming from the l g b t Q community,
- 18:45Speaker 1: and um, just one of the most beautiful spirits I
- 18:49Speaker 1: have ever worked with. Just incredibly talented, incredibly kind. You know,
- 18:53Speaker 1: it had a very unique perspective on life. And some
- 18:58Speaker 1: of the conversations that Big Freedom shares with our cast members,
- 19:02Speaker 1: which you'll see, you know a camera, especially, She's got
- 19:04Speaker 1: a an amazing conversation with with Slim Thug. Um really
- 19:09Speaker 1: helped our cast members grow and expand their perspective on
- 19:14Speaker 1: life and learn a lot about the LGBTQ community and stuff.
- 19:18Speaker 1: And so again, our goal was to really bring a
- 19:21Speaker 1: cast that's coming from all different perspectives together and see
- 19:24Speaker 1: how they all learn from each other, but then collectively
- 19:28Speaker 1: learned from the HBC experience too. We'll be right back
- 19:31Speaker 1: with more Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rushan McDonald. Now,
- 19:38Speaker 1: let's return to Money Making Conversations Masterclass with Rushan McDonald.
- 19:43Speaker 1: You had a couple of the projects I want to
- 19:44Speaker 1: bring onto the table. You have a Netflix thriller that
- 19:48Speaker 1: comes out in September starring the incredible Queen Latifa. Uh.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Ludicrous is part of that, and my man bow Bridges
- 19:55Speaker 1: talk about that. How did it all come together? And
- 19:57Speaker 1: how are you wearing all these different hats? You know? Sean,
- 20:01Speaker 1: let me just tell you I was so busy in
- 20:04Speaker 1: one true story, I didn't I wasn't in my own
- 20:07Speaker 1: bed between January and September because I was on the
- 20:11Speaker 1: road shooting stuff. And so I shot games, people play,
- 20:15Speaker 1: I shot this this movie Netflix movie, End of the Road,
- 20:18Speaker 1: and at the top of this year I shot um
- 20:20Speaker 1: College Hill as well. But let's talk about into the road. Okay.
- 20:23Speaker 1: So End of the Road Uh premieres on Netflix September nine, starring,
- 20:29Speaker 1: as she said, Queen Latifa Ludicrous and bow Bridges and
- 20:32Speaker 1: so it's a script that I have been trying to get.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I've been trying to get produced for ten years. Can
- 20:38Speaker 1: you believe it to be ten years? Mat um? But
- 20:42Speaker 1: I'm super excited about it and so clean. Latifa plays
- 20:45Speaker 1: a single parent mom raising kids down on her luck,
- 20:49Speaker 1: loses her job, loses her house, and has to go
- 20:52Speaker 1: cross country to relocate. And her brother, who we call
- 20:56Speaker 1: Uncle Ridge, who's played by Ludicrous, joins them and on
- 21:00Speaker 1: their journey cross country, let's just say they get mixed
- 21:03Speaker 1: up into something they thought they never would have gotten
- 21:07Speaker 1: into and it becomes a thriller and so um they
- 21:12Speaker 1: see something they shouldn't have seen and so um. So
- 21:16Speaker 1: this family has got to pull together to save each
- 21:20Speaker 1: other and come out of some serious mess. We have
- 21:23Speaker 1: a great relationship with Netflix. They always sent me these
- 21:26Speaker 1: projects early and hopefully I need locked in on the
- 21:28Speaker 1: interview with Ludicrous or both bridges and I'll be if
- 21:32Speaker 1: I get Queenland, that'd be amazing. But again, uh, definitely
- 21:35Speaker 1: give me that trailer because you know I promote anything
- 21:37Speaker 1: that you do. Now I want to go to a
- 21:39Speaker 1: personal story with all right now dot com um, because
- 21:43Speaker 1: you always promote healthy living stretching. And I'm gonna tell
- 21:46Speaker 1: you something. My hip was bothering me, Tracy, and so
- 21:50Speaker 1: I went to the doctor and I thought, I was
- 21:53Speaker 1: that was nervous. I thought there would need a hip
- 21:55Speaker 1: replacement or do I have to have authritic ballowing in
- 21:58Speaker 1: my hip? And he said, oh, you need to stretch.
- 22:04Speaker 1: That's all they said. For four weeks they taught me
- 22:07Speaker 1: how to stretch, and they told me you need to walk.
- 22:10Speaker 1: So now I walk, you know, a Miliday in the morning,
- 22:14Speaker 1: and then I stretched for another thirty minutes. Something you
- 22:17Speaker 1: have been preaching to me ever since all right now
- 22:21Speaker 1: dot com things I see on your LinkedIn post, I
- 22:25Speaker 1: have been ignoring. The doctor said, stretch, please your life.
- 22:30Speaker 1: That is some real talk. And I'm happy, Rashaan that
- 22:33Speaker 1: you're taking the doctor's advice because he is so right.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Stretching keeps you young, and so it gives you that
- 22:41Speaker 1: pep in your step. It gives you that that energy
- 22:45Speaker 1: and that blood flow that you need. And I'm telling you,
- 22:48Speaker 1: when you stretch those legs and stretch your back even
- 22:52Speaker 1: ten minutes a day, and you do that at the
- 22:55Speaker 1: top of your day, you're gonna feel so energized. The
- 22:59Speaker 1: rest of your day and you're gonna feel your blood flowing,
- 23:02Speaker 1: You're gonna think clearer, and I mean, it's it's amazing
- 23:06Speaker 1: for you. It's almost like it's it's almost equally important
- 23:09Speaker 1: to cardio, like you know it is. It is. So
- 23:12Speaker 1: I'm just gonna just just just a testimony. Okay, she's
- 23:16Speaker 1: speaking the truth. Because what happens is as you get older,
- 23:20Speaker 1: your strides get shorter and you tend to lean leaned over.
- 23:24Speaker 1: You come, all that is gone. My stride is longer,
- 23:29Speaker 1: my posture is correct now because of the stretching is
- 23:34Speaker 1: And it's just simple stuff. It's not something that you
- 23:37Speaker 1: know then I tell you the lift weights and it
- 23:39Speaker 1: just stretch, you know, just simple things that you can do.
- 23:43Speaker 1: I'm watching the news. I get up at four thirty.
- 23:46Speaker 1: I staggered down to my basement. I turn on the news,
- 23:48Speaker 1: so I'm watching news. So I'm not like I can't
- 23:51Speaker 1: do anything but stretch. I can be focused, I can
- 23:54Speaker 1: do a lot of different things. All I'm just saying
- 23:56Speaker 1: is that I am a champion of everything you say.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Tracy Edmonds, All right now, dot Com will be in
- 24:04Speaker 1: my newsletter every week. I go up to sixty four
- 24:06Speaker 1: thousand people every Wednesday at ten am. It will be
- 24:10Speaker 1: in there. I'll have personal testimony telling people do it
- 24:14Speaker 1: because of the fact that no surgery was needed. All
- 24:18Speaker 1: he told me was Rashan McDonald stretch, love love at Rashaun.
- 24:24Speaker 1: I mean, take taking care of yourself is so important.
- 24:26Speaker 1: You guys, eat right, exercise, take your vitamins and your supplements,
- 24:31Speaker 1: and stretch and it will keep you young and keep
- 24:34Speaker 1: you going well. I testify to that again. Thank you
- 24:38Speaker 1: for your time. Tracy Award winning Tracy is on my show.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Remember streaming right now on BT Plus is College Hills
- 24:46Speaker 1: the celebrity edition. Also coming up in September is the
- 24:50Speaker 1: Quility for Netflix thriller. We gotta watch it, everybody, because
- 24:54Speaker 1: you want to get it into the top ten streaming.

- 25:06Speaker 1: gonna put a curse on you. It's a good curse.

- 25:09Speaker 1: much in two how about that. I want you on
- 25:12Speaker 1: the road doing all these great projects. And I want
- 25:15Speaker 1: you to because it's that it's been a blessing to
- 25:17Speaker 1: have you back in my life, is a blessing to
