- 1:40Speaker 5: Got to turn them out.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Turn.
- 1:43Speaker 6: You probably got to turn the mouth to turn the
- 1:47Speaker 6: water of the money up. Look me come come out.
- 1:59Speaker 7: You'll think that I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 8: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on,
- 2:07Speaker 8: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 8: radio show. This one today I want to share with
- 2:15Speaker 8: you is for all of us, and here it is.
- 2:21Speaker 8: There is a solution to all of your problems in situations.
- 2:30Speaker 8: If you don't know what your next move is, that's
- 2:33Speaker 8: a go. I don't care what it is. If the
- 2:36Speaker 8: relationship you're in is all wrong and you don't know
- 2:41Speaker 8: how to get out of it, it doesn't matter. There
- 2:45Speaker 8: is a solution to all your problems and situations. That
- 2:51Speaker 8: solution to all your problems, that way to make all
- 2:54Speaker 8: your dreams come true. The way around a lot of
- 2:58Speaker 8: this and to the weakness that you feel at times
- 3:03Speaker 8: is prayer, prayer, a connection with your creator.
- 3:09Speaker 7: Could that be the thing that's missing in your life.
- 3:12Speaker 7: I'm just asking.
- 3:15Speaker 8: Because whenever I get a little bit off track, all
- 3:20Speaker 8: I gotta do is think, just a moment, Steve, have
- 3:25Speaker 8: you been praying?
- 3:26Speaker 4: Man?
- 3:26Speaker 8: Have you been connecting with your creator? I know you're busy, man,
- 3:30Speaker 8: I know you're busy, and I know at the end
- 3:32Speaker 8: of the day you're done. You're done, and sometimes crawling
- 3:37Speaker 8: into bed is all you can manage to do. I've
- 3:40Speaker 8: said this, it happened to me last night.
- 3:43Speaker 7: Again. I did all of this. But when I look
- 3:47Speaker 7: and when.
- 3:47Speaker 8: I see things not moving, or I don't feel like
- 3:52Speaker 8: things are going in the right direction, or I have
- 3:54Speaker 8: a sense of being stagnant, all I got to do
- 3:57Speaker 8: is retrace it. Because cause I'm working, There's no doubt
- 4:01Speaker 8: about that. I'm working, but I'm i staying connected. Am
- 4:06Speaker 8: I using that weapon that's available to all of us?
- 4:10Speaker 7: And I pray? And the answer is usually no?
- 4:14Speaker 8: And so I know, okay, okay, man, I'm getting off
- 4:16Speaker 8: track here, because see, let me tell you something, man,
- 4:19Speaker 8: the reason I constantly talk to God is because life
- 4:25Speaker 8: constantly changes. People who said they was going to do
- 4:28Speaker 8: something for you one day have changed their mind the next.
- 4:33Speaker 8: Somebody you thought was going to show up that day,
- 4:36Speaker 8: called in late, had an accident and couldn't make it.
- 4:39Speaker 8: That changes the parameters of everything. The meeting you had
- 4:44Speaker 8: set up that had to be counseled because somebody was ill.
- 4:47Speaker 8: That changes the parameters, the time frame of everything. Because
- 4:52Speaker 8: it's all connected. So if I don't stay in constant
- 4:56Speaker 8: prayer and stay connected to the creative when this thing's happen,
- 5:01Speaker 8: I've not put in my bed, I've not talked to
- 5:03Speaker 8: him about how to handle it, or I'm just not
- 5:06Speaker 8: aware of it and what to do next. And the
- 5:09Speaker 8: next thing you know, it becomes a little stagnant. That
- 5:11Speaker 8: has happened to me. I gotta get back because prayer
- 5:16Speaker 8: is the solution to all of my problems and situations.
- 5:21Speaker 8: I have found that to be the case now. The
- 5:23Speaker 8: only reason I'm telling it to you is because I
- 5:26Speaker 8: know if you anything like me, slash human being, then
- 5:31Speaker 8: there are times that you feel anxious.
- 5:34Speaker 7: There's moments of desperation. You have moments of uncertainty.
- 5:39Speaker 8: There are times when you feel like you've lost your way,
- 5:43Speaker 8: or your purpose is a little blurred, you're not sure anymore,
- 5:48Speaker 8: or you don't know what your next move is, or
- 5:50Speaker 8: the relationship you in, or the relationships you dabbling in,
- 5:54Speaker 8: they're just all wrong for you. Man, there is a
- 6:00Speaker 8: solution to all your problems and situations and his prayer.
- 6:05Speaker 8: If you're suffering from any of the things I just listened,
- 6:08Speaker 8: or anything you could think of.
- 6:10Speaker 7: Just check your prayer. What has your prayer been lately?
- 6:13Speaker 7: About it?
- 6:15Speaker 8: And this is for everybody. I often find when I
- 6:19Speaker 8: get that disconnection, man, my prayer and slipped off. I
- 6:24Speaker 8: started feeling a little bit less, so I got to
- 6:27Speaker 8: jump back on it. I'm just offering you a solution
- 6:30Speaker 8: to it, man, and and and I'm giving you a
- 6:33Speaker 8: solution that works one thousand percent.
- 6:36Speaker 7: Fust show. See, I ain't guessing at this one.
- 6:39Speaker 8: I'm telling you what has happened in my life, how
- 6:43Speaker 8: I did it, and it'll do for you. God is
- 6:46Speaker 8: filled with mercy and grace. He knows we all messed up.
- 6:50Speaker 8: He knows all of us have done some jacked up
- 6:53Speaker 8: things that don't nobody know about.
- 6:55Speaker 7: He knows all about our past. Man, he knows all
- 6:59Speaker 7: of that. But He is so full of grace and mercy,
- 7:03Speaker 7: so full of fifty fifty chances.
- 7:06Speaker 8: But you know the thing about your life though, and
- 7:09Speaker 8: the thing I had to come to terms with, and
- 7:11Speaker 8: the reason I don't let out of the reason I
- 7:13Speaker 8: don't let my past bury me, the reason I don't
- 7:16Speaker 8: let my past define me is because my past, I
- 7:21Speaker 8: found out, were just the ingredients needed for me to
- 7:30Speaker 8: make this cake I'm eating now. My past is just
- 7:35Speaker 8: my ingredients. See, you don't get rid of your past.
- 7:40Speaker 8: They ain't they gone nowhere. They are the ingredients. But
- 7:43Speaker 8: when you put them with something else, they look better,
- 7:46Speaker 8: they taste better, it is better.
- 7:50Speaker 7: All of our pasts are just the ingredients that have
- 7:53Speaker 7: become the cake we eating now.
- 7:55Speaker 8: Now, if you don't like the way your cake taste,
- 7:57Speaker 8: then you gotta start putting some other ingredients in there.
- 8:00Speaker 8: Just because you started off and your cake was messed
- 8:03Speaker 8: up don't mean you can't straighten out the flavor your cake.
- 8:07Speaker 8: You gotta put some different ingredients in there. So let's
- 8:11Speaker 8: say your cake is trifling tasted, it's bitter. Your cake
- 8:15Speaker 8: is bitter, Well, you got to dilute the bitterness. You
- 8:18Speaker 8: got to put some more goodness in there. So you
- 8:21Speaker 8: got to put some goodness ingredients to take away the
- 8:25Speaker 8: taste of the bitterness. So you got to put some
- 8:29Speaker 8: different ingredients in there. You gotta start living your life
- 8:31Speaker 8: a little more kindly, a little more thoughtful, a little
- 8:34Speaker 8: more sharing, a little more caring. And then after a while, man,
- 8:38Speaker 8: those new ingredients combined with that bitter it starts overshadowing
- 8:43Speaker 8: the bitter taste because the bitter taste is further behind you. Now,
- 8:47Speaker 8: see something that happened to you twelve fifteen, thirty twenty five,
- 8:52Speaker 8: sixteen years ago. Ain't got to be the flavor that's
- 8:55Speaker 8: in your mouth now unless you let it be. It's
- 8:59Speaker 8: still ingreedients. Man, if you sink it away your cake
- 9:03Speaker 8: taste and change your ingredients, put something else.
- 9:07Speaker 7: In your cake mix so you can get a better taste.
- 9:12Speaker 7: If you don't like the way your life tastes. Pray.
- 9:16Speaker 8: I've been here my mama saying for years. Boy prayer
- 9:18Speaker 8: change his things, don't my mama said to me all
- 9:22Speaker 8: the time. I said to my TV artist is when
- 9:24Speaker 8: they come see me on the talk show, before I
- 9:26Speaker 8: walk on stage, I tell them these words, my mother said.
- 9:29Speaker 8: I said, my mother used to always tell me this,
- 9:32Speaker 8: and it's bailed me out and might do the same
- 9:34Speaker 8: thing for you. I said, whatever I get in trouble.
- 9:38Speaker 8: I hear her words. She said, son, don't forget to pray,
- 9:43Speaker 8: don't be ashamed to pray, and don't be too proud
- 9:46Speaker 8: to pray, because prayer, prayer, change is things, and you
- 9:51Speaker 8: better believe something it one hundred percent.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Show do you're listening, said to Steve Hoby morning shall.
- 10:00Speaker 7: A gentlemen, Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. I've
- 10:04Speaker 7: got sunshine on a cloudy day. Doom doom do do
- 10:12Speaker 7: do doom when it's cold outside? I got the mother made.
- 10:23Speaker 9: Well.
- 10:24Speaker 7: I guess you say, what can make me feel this way?
- 10:34Speaker 7: My girl? Talking about my girl? My girl, I've got salt.
- 10:47Speaker 1: You can until you get in it. Your toes, your toes.
- 10:53Speaker 7: I've got salt.
- 10:56Speaker 8: You don't want to get in it, don't come over
- 10:58Speaker 8: here with me. Ladies and gentlemen, Welcome to the Steve
- 11:03Speaker 8: Harvey Morning Show. That's how I felt this morning. We

- 11:11Speaker 8: the girl out of Mississippi Monica who you're very rally here.
- 11:14Speaker 8: But when you do you understand why kill Spate's better
- 11:18Speaker 8: than on us?
- 11:19Speaker 7: Junior?
- 11:19Speaker 8: We call him baby go through and ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:22Speaker 8: the legend nephew Tommy, it.
- 11:28Speaker 10: Is Unclet me ask you something Black History Month. I
- 11:32Speaker 10: just saw what you just did this morning over than
- 11:34Speaker 10: the show. What is being black mean to you?
- 11:37Speaker 7: Like everything? Everything black has been everything to me.
- 11:41Speaker 8: I'm gonna tell you something, man, the way I describe it,
- 11:44Speaker 8: it is the hardest, most enjoyable thing I've ever done,
- 11:49Speaker 8: and that's staying black.
- 11:51Speaker 7: For the entire sixty five years I've been here, it
- 11:56Speaker 7: has been.
- 11:56Speaker 8: The most enjoyable, hardest thing I've ever done was being black.
- 12:03Speaker 7: Now, it has been some challenging moments.
- 12:05Speaker 8: It has been some times where I didn't understand, and
- 12:08Speaker 8: I have been mad at people for the treatment of us.
- 12:11Speaker 8: I'm frustrated with people over the treatment of us. I'm
- 12:15Speaker 8: flat out angry and want to do something to some
- 12:17Speaker 8: people sometimes about the way we've been done and continue
- 12:21Speaker 8: to be done.
- 12:23Speaker 7: But when I get off to myself and I.
- 12:25Speaker 8: Get around mine and it's just us, we have a
- 12:30Speaker 8: way of getting together and putting seasoning on all these troubles.
- 12:36Speaker 8: We have a way of turning something out of nothing
- 12:41Speaker 8: in a way where it gives us a joy that
- 12:45Speaker 8: only we know how to do, because only we come
- 12:48Speaker 8: from the perspective that we have. It has been a
- 12:51Speaker 8: sheer joy for me. I wouldn't trade this experience of
- 12:54Speaker 8: being black for nothing in the world. I don't like
- 12:57Speaker 8: what all come with it, but I tell you what
- 13:01Speaker 8: I think that I have done a fine job of
- 13:03Speaker 8: handling it for all these years now. It has cost
- 13:08Speaker 8: some people who didn't understand me at times, but those
- 13:12Speaker 8: people had to suffer sometimes. I had to let you
- 13:16Speaker 8: see why I feel this way, and you get some
- 13:19Speaker 8: of it. I gotta let you have some of it.
- 13:21Speaker 8: Pend on the day, depend on the day. But if
- 13:25Speaker 8: today is the day, Today you're lucky day Lotto, you
- 13:28Speaker 8: hit the jackpot.
- 13:30Speaker 7: You finish me.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Steve stay black coming up.
- 13:35Speaker 9: After the hour, run that prank back with another black

- 14:18Speaker 1: a nephew. What you got for his.
- 14:20Speaker 7: Neph Valentine's Day delivery? Let's get to it. Kende.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Hello, Hello, my name is Eric. I gotta give you
- 14:29Speaker 4: guys a call. I gotta delivery. I gotta make there
- 14:31Speaker 4: tomorrow from Kendrin. Yeah, Kendre lives here. That's my wife.
- 14:36Speaker 4: But I didn't order anything for for Valentine's Day. You
- 14:39Speaker 4: guys are first on my list tomorrow morning for Valentine's
- 14:43Speaker 4: and I got like seven eight boxes here. That's uh,
- 14:46Speaker 4: that's coming to you all's places. So all right, I
- 14:49Speaker 4: can let me, let me let me ask you this.
- 14:51Speaker 4: So you had six don Yeah, that's me. But uh again,
- 14:56Speaker 4: there's there must be some clerical error typo Like I
- 15:01Speaker 4: just told you, man, I didn't boxes, and Chenna, it's
- 15:04Speaker 4: about seven boxes. But I mean, I mean it's just
- 15:08Speaker 4: looking at the total here, that adds up to about
- 15:09Speaker 4: six hunt or something dollars. I mean, I got flowers,
- 15:12Speaker 4: no partner, We're just gonna I'm just gonna take it
- 15:15Speaker 4: to dinner and we're just gonna do our thing. But
- 15:17Speaker 4: there was there was no delivery schedule from me, enough folds,
- 15:21Speaker 4: especially not at at seven o'clock at no partner, you
- 15:25Speaker 4: got it. It's just something wrong. Well you are you
- 15:28Speaker 4: you're not gonna be there? Are you not gonna be
- 15:30Speaker 4: there tomorrow morning? Sir? Oh yeah, I'm gonna be here.
- 15:33Speaker 4: But uh, as far as accepting a delivery that I
- 15:36Speaker 4: didn't order and didn't pay for, that's not happening. Man.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Well let me tell you. I got flowers, two boxes
- 15:44Speaker 4: that are lingerie, several boxes that are sex toys. We'll
- 15:49Speaker 4: all that stuff. I have all that stuff loaded to
- 15:51Speaker 4: be delivered tomorrow at seven am. And dude, obviously there's
- 15:57Speaker 4: a communication breakdown between you and me player because I
- 16:01Speaker 4: didn't order that, and right, but but but what the
- 16:05Speaker 4: problem I'm having is that you're telling me I have
- 16:08Speaker 4: the right address, you know the name of the person Kendrick,
- 16:13Speaker 4: which is your wife. Right, Yeah, so far so good man.
- 16:16Speaker 4: But uh as far as me ordering that, dude, I'm not.
- 16:20Speaker 4: I'm not. I'm not accepting it because I didn't pay
- 16:23Speaker 4: for it. I did not order. I mean, I mean
- 16:26Speaker 4: it's already paid. Let me let me just look at
- 16:29Speaker 4: the name here on the here is here is right here. Okay,
- 16:32Speaker 4: we got Devin. What would you say? I said, Devon,
- 16:37Speaker 4: that's that's who made the purchase. Oh no, no, no, no, okay,
- 16:41Speaker 4: that's my wife's ex husbin. So even you and him
- 16:45Speaker 4: are in cahoots and and try to upset me. But
- 16:48Speaker 4: guess what you succeeded. All right, So I'm gonna make this.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Listen to you. I listened to you, so you listen
- 16:57Speaker 4: to me. This is what I want to make abundantly
- 17:00Speaker 4: clear to you. If you bring those roses and all
- 17:03Speaker 4: of that stuff past my house tomorrow. This is what's
- 17:06Speaker 4: gonna happen. Those roses, those storms. I'm gonna put them
- 17:10Speaker 4: somewhere so far up your rear end that the only
- 17:13Speaker 4: way that they see sunshine is when you open your mouth.
- 17:17Speaker 4: So do not, I repeat, do not. You and Devin.
- 17:21Speaker 4: Y'all can take this, and you can do whatever y'all
- 17:23Speaker 4: want with it. Y'all can play with the second toys.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Y'all do whatever you want to. Red roses, petals and
- 17:28Speaker 4: all that other stuff. Y'all gonna do what you need
- 17:30Speaker 4: to do. Not show up at my crib tomorrow because
- 17:34Speaker 4: it ain't gonna be a happy Valentine's Day for nobody involved.
- 17:38Speaker 4: That's what I'm okay. Well, here's the deal. As a
- 17:42Speaker 4: delivery person, I am obligated to make the drip. I
- 17:47Speaker 4: have to make this drive or then I don't get
- 17:50Speaker 4: you know, I get shoot out that I didn't do
- 17:51Speaker 4: my job because this stuff. Okay, so what would what
- 17:54Speaker 4: would you rather be choo choot out or have thorns
- 17:57Speaker 4: up your rear? End sence you let's sold out. Let's
- 18:00Speaker 4: what you're not gonna do is to hold off you
- 18:03Speaker 4: fen the do just.
- 18:05Speaker 7: You bring.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Brand Okay, all right, I won't do the flowers. I'll
- 18:10Speaker 4: use the sex toys for you. So you got a choice.
- 18:13Speaker 4: You got flowers. Let me let me say this with
- 18:18Speaker 4: isawers as professional as possible. You say, I'm trying to
- 18:23Speaker 4: be as cool as possible, but you ain't listening to me.
- 18:26Speaker 4: Do not bring the livery Okay. You can drop them
- 18:29Speaker 4: off at the curve, then you get credit for and
- 18:32Speaker 4: whoever walk past and up and down the street they
- 18:34Speaker 4: can pick it up. But do not come to my
- 18:37Speaker 4: front door and ring my doorbell asking me to sign
- 18:40Speaker 4: and accept nothing. It ain't have to drop them off
- 18:44Speaker 4: at the door, sir, I'm telling you now, I've gotta
- 18:50Speaker 4: drop them off at the door. The problem I'm having
- 18:52Speaker 4: is you telling me you're gonna stick some flowers up
- 18:55Speaker 4: my Now we got a problem just listening to this
- 18:58Speaker 4: whole scenario. I'm just curious. Is it possible that maybe
- 19:02Speaker 4: Devin does something for her that you don't do? Hey? Man,
- 19:05Speaker 4: you what what's work? Where are you going at with this?
- 19:08Speaker 4: All I'm telling you is demand your business and don't
- 19:10Speaker 4: make this drop? Why am I doing that Devon? That?
- 19:15Speaker 4: Why am I gonna do this that Devon has purchased
- 19:18Speaker 4: for her? Just what? And if you need why, I
- 19:22Speaker 4: don't need to ask Devin because he's better not show
- 19:26Speaker 4: his face up over here. You can take it home
- 19:28Speaker 4: and give it to your girl if you want to.
- 19:31Speaker 4: I'm not giving my girl anything that I didn't buy
- 19:33Speaker 4: for her. I'm not doing that, you think so if
- 19:36Speaker 4: you if you're not gonna give your girl anything that
- 19:38Speaker 4: you didn't buy for her, why am I going to
- 19:40Speaker 4: accept something for my girl that I didn't buy for her.
- 19:43Speaker 4: I ain't gonna tell you that. You gotta accept it
- 19:45Speaker 4: I'm saying, is not remember it and you bring out
- 19:48Speaker 4: in my house, I gotta accept it. And I'm telling
- 19:50Speaker 4: you now, don't even bring it to my house. Maybe
- 19:54Speaker 4: maybe mister Devin know what she loves. She looks like
- 19:57Speaker 4: obviously she don't want him no more. She wants me
- 20:00Speaker 4: an ed of the flower delivery person, just like her
- 20:04Speaker 4: ex husband. I'm swo these bumps and whooping. That's all
- 20:09Speaker 4: I got to say. Two words for bringing that someone whooping. See,
- 20:13Speaker 4: you might as well come on now so you can
- 20:15Speaker 4: go home after you get this wooman. Okay, okay, okay,
- 20:18Speaker 4: let me let me say this at the end of
- 20:19Speaker 4: the day. I'm gonna say this is Tommy already told me, Yo,
- 20:23Speaker 4: she's gonna do something like this. He told me that.
- 20:26Speaker 4: Who'd you say? Who the hell may already told me
- 20:29Speaker 4: you was gonna like this. Who the hell is Tommy?

- 21:56Speaker 9: Four, it is time now for us the CLO Chief
- 22:00Speaker 9: Love Officer, Steve Harvey. We have some good questions from
- 22:04Speaker 9: Steve Harvey FM dot com. Keep them coming, people, keep
- 22:07Speaker 9: them coming. Tyler in Syracruse Right Syracuse writes, I'm a
- 22:11Speaker 9: forty two year old woman and I work at a bank.
- 22:14Speaker 9: By day and I work at a bar at night.
- 22:16Speaker 9: I serve the same customers in both places, so I
- 22:19Speaker 9: try to remain professional. Last night a coworker from the
- 22:22Speaker 9: bank came in the bar and hit on me. He said,
- 22:25Speaker 9: he sees me differently at the bar. Do I look
- 22:28Speaker 9: easy because I work at a bar?
- 22:31Speaker 8: Well, baby, all the man said was he see you
- 22:34Speaker 8: differently at the bar. It's not saying that you look easy.
- 22:38Speaker 8: He keeps it professional at work. Now, y'all ain't at work.
- 22:42Speaker 8: You at work, so that old not talking to your
- 22:46Speaker 8: co worker is out of his head when he comes
- 22:50Speaker 8: to the bar. He just said he sees you differently. Yeah,
- 22:53Speaker 8: you think he sees you easy, that's not it. He's
- 22:57Speaker 8: hoping it's easy, and you know what, few easy?
- 23:01Speaker 7: Hello.
- 23:03Speaker 8: But now your problem ain't the fact that he talking
- 23:06Speaker 8: to you. Just don't want to appear easy. Obviously you
- 23:08Speaker 8: attracted to it.
- 23:10Speaker 7: Hello. I'll be trying to get it at the bank
- 23:14Speaker 7: and the barn't give Yeah, that's for real. I don't
- 23:16Speaker 7: give a damn about the ruve.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Moving on, Big a Bee and Missouri.
- 23:27Speaker 9: Bicky and Missouri rights. My husband of four years cheated
- 23:30Speaker 9: on me and he won't tell me who the woman is?
- 23:32Speaker 9: I found an earring back and lip gloss between her
- 23:36Speaker 9: between his car seat, and he said he gave an
- 23:38Speaker 9: old friend to ride, and that's it. If it is
- 23:42Speaker 9: totally innocent, then why can't he tell me her name?
- 23:46Speaker 7: Ain't nobody finna do that? Lady? Are you kidding me?
- 23:52Speaker 7: You're saying that your man cheated on you four years ago.
- 23:56Speaker 8: Now you're saying he's telling you because you found ear
- 24:00Speaker 8: ring in the car, not four years ago.
- 24:03Speaker 7: They've been married four years.
- 24:05Speaker 8: Okay, you said he cheated on you because you found
- 24:09Speaker 8: an ear ring and something in the car ring back,
- 24:13Speaker 8: and he said it was an old friend. You want
- 24:16Speaker 8: a name, He won't give you the name. Now, Shirley
- 24:20Speaker 8: is she said she caught him cheating or because of
- 24:23Speaker 8: the ear ring in the car, he was cheating.
- 24:25Speaker 9: No, she didn't say she caught him. She just said
- 24:28Speaker 9: he cheated on hers. She's presenting this as evidence and.
- 24:32Speaker 1: That that's not earring back then, and that's just what
- 24:37Speaker 1: he said.
- 24:37Speaker 8: He picked the old friend of them, gave her a ride,
- 24:40Speaker 8: gave her ear rings fall off all the time.
- 24:43Speaker 7: What's her name? I'd be damn if I give you
- 24:46Speaker 7: her name?
- 24:48Speaker 1: What happens with the lip gloss, it falls off.
- 24:50Speaker 7: It's mine you have in your purse.
- 24:55Speaker 8: You know, I don't know what you got to put
- 24:57Speaker 8: your redo your lips for this show wasn't because we
- 25:01Speaker 8: was in here kissing real hard or nothing. You can't
- 25:04Speaker 8: assume that maybe she's just trying to get ready for
- 25:07Speaker 8: her next appointment. But what we not even do is
- 25:12Speaker 8: give a name up. Though I didn't want to tell
- 25:16Speaker 8: you that I be cross, guess I just did not
- 25:18Speaker 8: want to see.
- 25:23Speaker 7: But hers. I'm allergic to chapstick. I have to use gloss.
- 25:30Speaker 10: Really, that was a drive by lived lost throne and
- 25:36Speaker 10: you happen to catch one.
- 25:37Speaker 7: And I have him.
- 25:38Speaker 8: I have a doctor's excuse for your ass next two
- 25:41Speaker 8: Wenesday's so fast.
- 25:42Speaker 1: The next question, Shirley, he told him an old friend
- 25:46Speaker 1: or mine?
- 25:47Speaker 7: All right?
- 25:48Speaker 9: Chelsea and Birmingham says, I'm a single mother of a
- 25:50Speaker 9: seventeen year old girl and she is always in the
- 25:53Speaker 9: middle of drama with her girlfriends, her best friends call.
- 25:56Speaker 9: Her best friend called to tell me that my daughter
- 25:59Speaker 9: almost got beat up. So I talked to my daughter.
- 26:02Speaker 9: Her first reaction was to go and beat up her
- 26:04Speaker 9: friend for calling me. What kind of hell raiser? Am
- 26:07Speaker 9: I raising?
- 26:08Speaker 7: I don't know? You tell us you raised her?
- 26:12Speaker 8: If her idea of conflict resolution is fighting, has she
- 26:16Speaker 8: not been taught any other way?
- 26:18Speaker 2: You know?
- 26:19Speaker 7: Stop all this? Oh I didn't raise her that way? Okay,
- 26:23Speaker 7: who raised it?
- 26:24Speaker 2: You know?
- 26:25Speaker 8: But she's seventeen. She a drama queen. Now what's gonna
- 26:31Speaker 8: happen is if she was a boy. This is what
- 26:33Speaker 8: would happen. If you're a hell raised at seventeen and
- 26:36Speaker 8: you're a boy and you keep drama going, somebody gonna
- 26:39Speaker 8: beat your ass.
- 26:41Speaker 7: It's just amount of time. It's no way around that.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Now.
- 26:47Speaker 7: Let me give you an example.
- 26:48Speaker 8: I know a kid that works for me that doesn't
- 26:53Speaker 8: really you know, just he just nice guy, but he
- 26:57Speaker 8: just don't know how to be around a lot of men.
- 27:00Speaker 8: And he says stuff sometimes because he's never been around men.
- 27:05Speaker 8: That's not you know, appropriate, it's just what men don't
- 27:10Speaker 8: do well now. Because he grew up around his mother
- 27:14Speaker 8: and stuff, he's never had his ass whoop.
- 27:17Speaker 7: But he twenty nine.
- 27:19Speaker 8: And I try to tell this kid, if you keep
- 27:22Speaker 8: going this route part though, you got to learn the
- 27:24Speaker 8: ways of manhood quick because somebody's gonna knock.
- 27:27Speaker 7: Your ass out. You know how shocking her ass whoop?
- 27:31Speaker 7: And he is if you ain't never had one till two,
- 27:33Speaker 7: oh that first one in your twenty o eye opener.
- 27:39Speaker 1: She may need some counseling.
- 27:41Speaker 8: She't I think, I think, yeah, she missed her daddy.
- 27:48Speaker 8: All kinds of it could be daddy issues in here,
- 27:52Speaker 8: we don't know. Yeah, but you got to get her
- 27:55Speaker 8: some help because some I'm wrong with her.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 27:58Speaker 8: Humphrey and called and told you she was about to
- 28:00Speaker 8: y'all jumped on her, gonna go down and whoop her
- 28:01Speaker 8: friend and ass?
- 28:04Speaker 4: What is that?
- 28:05Speaker 1: That's bullying?
- 28:06Speaker 11: And yeah, brand is trying to give her mother heads
- 28:10Speaker 11: up the girls arms waist, So I'm going on all right.
- 28:14Speaker 7: All right?
- 28:15Speaker 9: Moving on to Mignon in Detroit, she says, I'm sixty
- 28:20Speaker 9: nine year old retired female and I've been relaxing at
- 28:23Speaker 9: home without a bran lately. My husband's friend was at
- 28:27Speaker 9: the house for the Super Bowl, and my husband told
- 28:29Speaker 9: me to put a bron I was at home, so
- 28:31Speaker 9: why should I have to be uncomfortable?
- 28:34Speaker 8: Oh come on, well, come on, now, you walking around
- 28:40Speaker 8: sixty nine, you know you heavy chested, chested, that's the
- 28:48Speaker 8: old folk turne.
- 28:51Speaker 7: She's sixty nine. She did heard this before.
- 28:53Speaker 1: You have a chest?
- 28:55Speaker 7: Put a bra?
- 28:56Speaker 8: Why should I be uncomfortable? You say you wear don't

- 56:15Speaker 4: Let thank you.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Nephew's subject My husband found the wrong gift.
- 56:20Speaker 9: Dear Stephen Shirley, I've been married to an interesting man
- 56:23Speaker 9: for nineteen years and we have a daughter that's a
- 56:26Speaker 9: freshman in college. He works two jobs by choice because
- 56:29Speaker 9: he gives my daughter any and everything she asks for.
- 56:33Speaker 9: He stops spoiling me years ago, and I'm jealous. Since
- 56:38Speaker 9: he works a lot, I have plenty of time alone.
- 56:40Speaker 9: It's true that an idle mind is the devil's workshop.
- 56:43Speaker 9: And out of sheer boredom, I started flirting with an
- 56:47Speaker 9: old acquaintance on Facebook. He knows I'm married and he's
- 56:50Speaker 9: married too, so we both are bored and wanted someone
- 56:53Speaker 9: else to talk to. He asked me where I worked,
- 56:56Speaker 9: and I told him, but I didn't mention that I'm
- 56:58Speaker 9: working remotely right now now. This past Friday, he dropped
- 57:02Speaker 9: a small red box off at my office, and the
- 57:05Speaker 9: receptionist called me to come pick it up. She said, quote,
- 57:09Speaker 9: a man that's not your husband dropped off something for
- 57:12Speaker 9: you that was nothing butt shade. But I went right
- 57:15Speaker 9: up to my office and got my gift. The box
- 57:18Speaker 9: contained some small red lingerie and one hundred dollars cash
- 57:23Speaker 9: with a sweet card. When I got home, I slid
- 57:26Speaker 9: the box under my bed. When my husband came home,
- 57:29Speaker 9: I was in bed. He was getting undressed and He
- 57:32Speaker 9: took his wedding band off and it rolled under the bed.
- 57:36Speaker 9: He saw the box and looked at me, smiling. He
- 57:39Speaker 9: opened it and started getting giddy. He thought it was
- 57:42Speaker 9: his Valentine's present. So I had to play it off
- 57:45Speaker 9: and put the lingerie on. It was way too small
- 57:48Speaker 9: for me, and it almost cut my circulation off. I
- 57:51Speaker 9: couldn't wait for him to rip it off. I had
- 57:53Speaker 9: to go through two rounds of bad sex, but he
- 57:55Speaker 9: was so happy. I want my hundred dollars back, and
- 57:58Speaker 9: I want to tell him another man gave me that
- 58:00Speaker 9: gift because he sent our daughter flowers for Valentine's and
- 58:04Speaker 9: he didn't give me any. Should I tell him just
- 58:07Speaker 9: to make him jealous. No, you should not, and especially
- 58:10Speaker 9: you shouldn't be jealous of your daughter. I mean, you know,
- 58:14Speaker 9: making him think that the gift was for him was
- 58:17Speaker 9: the only option you had at the time, because that
- 58:20Speaker 9: could have gotten really ugly, but not as ugly as
- 58:23Speaker 9: it already is. I mean, I'm surprised you're still sleeping
- 58:26Speaker 9: with him. You have so much, so many complaints about him.
- 58:29Speaker 9: You stayed in there for not one, but two rounds
- 58:32Speaker 9: of bad sex. You say so, so, how long are
- 58:35Speaker 9: you going to put up with that. You got nothing
- 58:37Speaker 9: for Valentine's Day, but he got the money, the sexy undies,
- 58:41Speaker 9: and he got sex with you twice. You said he
- 58:44Speaker 9: stopped spoiling you years ago. You did not tell us
- 58:47Speaker 9: why why did that stop? I mean other than he's
- 58:50Speaker 9: working two jobs. Now you're thinking it's to spoil your daughter,
- 58:55Speaker 9: and you're.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Jealous of that. He's not married to his daughter.
- 58:58Speaker 9: He's married to you, and and the idea that you're
- 59:01Speaker 9: no longer number one in his life should be unacceptable
- 59:04Speaker 9: to you. You left a lot out in this letter.
- 59:06Speaker 9: You guys have grown very far apart. Now you're thinking
- 59:09Speaker 9: about cheating with someone from your past that you met
- 59:14Speaker 9: off Facebook. I mean, that's not going to solve your
- 59:16Speaker 9: marital issues. You're looking for attention. Your husband sounds coolest
- 59:20Speaker 9: to your needs as far as that's concerned, and that
- 59:23Speaker 9: has to change because your marriage is already in trouble
- 59:26Speaker 9: you're thinking about. I know you say you want someone
- 59:29Speaker 9: to talk to, but that's how it starts. Okay, that
- 59:32Speaker 9: is how it starts. Those thoughts become actions. If you
- 59:35Speaker 9: still want your marriage to work, I think you guys
- 59:38Speaker 9: need to get in some sort of marriage, counseling or
- 59:41Speaker 9: therapy right away.
- 59:42Speaker 1: Asaf see.
- 59:45Speaker 8: Shirley absolutely brilliant answer. I agree one hundred percent with
- 59:52Speaker 8: every single thing you said well said, which leaves me
- 59:56Speaker 8: nowhere to go in this letter except tod and find
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: uh little gems of ignorance that may be typed in
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: this letter, some swear. So come on with me as
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: I take you through the mind of the person who
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: writes a letter like this. Even the subject my husband
- 1:00:19Speaker 8: found the wrong gift, even the way he found it
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: was just, oh my goodness.
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: Uh where you hear the gift?
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: Was?
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: Oh my goodness? How you hire a gift under a
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: damn ben?
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: Who do that? What is he?
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Faue?
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: What is he?
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: Folk? He don't go into the bed? How who hides
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: the gift? Who do that?
- 1:00:42Speaker 8: Anyway, You've been married to an interesting man nineteen years old,
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: got a daughter's freshman in college. He works two jobs
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: by choice because he gives my daughter any and everything
- 1:00:53Speaker 8: she asks for. So now the rest of the letter
- 1:00:58Speaker 8: is to penalize the man and for being a great father.
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: But there's more to it.
- 1:01:05Speaker 8: As Shirley said, he stopped spoiling me years ago, and
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: I'm jealous something happened years ago that you're not putting
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: in this letter. Demand just stopped? And did he turn
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: his attention to someone who was more appreciative. Did someone
- 1:01:24Speaker 8: starts saying, thank you, daddy, while you're wonderful. Did somebody
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: go you're the best dad any girl could ever have.
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: Did you stop saying you were the best husband, thank
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: you for all of your hard work. No, you're just
- 1:01:36Speaker 8: married to an interesting man. Then, as you said, since
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: he works a lot, you've got plenty of time alone.
- 1:01:43Speaker 7: And now here we go. An idle mind is.
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: The devil's workshop, and out of sheer bought him. I
- 1:01:49Speaker 8: started flirting with an old acquaintance on Facebook. You do
- 1:01:53Speaker 8: understand that this entire letter is really looking like your
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: fault because your husband working two jobs and spoiling your daughter,
- 1:02:03Speaker 8: showing her how a man should treat her, giving her
- 1:02:06Speaker 8: an example of what love looks like from the eyes
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: of a daughter through watching her father, and you taking
- 1:02:12Speaker 8: it as he stops spoiling me. I'm jealous, I'm bored.
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: I'm flirting on Facebook. Facebook then ended a lot of marriages.
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: Get ready for yours to.
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: Be gone too.
- 1:02:25Speaker 9: Just hold that thought right now, we got to take
- 1:02:27Speaker 9: a break right here. We'll have part two of your
- 1:02:29Speaker 9: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:02:33Speaker 9: Today's Strawberry Letter subjects I know you just got into it.
- 1:02:37Speaker 9: Today's Strawberry Letter, My husband found the wrong gift. We'll
- 1:02:40Speaker 9: get right back to it right after this. Hey, this
- 1:02:45Speaker 9: is your girl Shirley's Strawberry. And according to research, a

- 1:03:21Speaker 9: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:03:24Speaker 9: my husband found the wrong gift.
- 1:03:28Speaker 7: Everything about this letter's crazy.
- 1:03:30Speaker 8: This woman is married to what she claims as an
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: interesting man who has a freshman daughter in college.
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: To both of them, he's spoiling her. He's got two jobs.
- 1:03:40Speaker 8: She says, to give the daughter in and everything she
- 1:03:43Speaker 8: has for he stops spoiling me years ago, and I'm jealous. Well,
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: then she says, since he works a lot, she got
- 1:03:50Speaker 8: plenty of time by herself. And then she says that
- 1:03:53Speaker 8: it's true that an idle mind is the devil's playground.
- 1:03:56Speaker 8: So she started flirting with an old acquaintance on Facebook.
- 1:04:00Speaker 8: Facebooked and ended a lot of marriages, and this is
- 1:04:03Speaker 8: fit to be another one. He knows I'm married and
- 1:04:07Speaker 8: he's married too, so we both are bored and wanted
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: someone else to talk to. Lady, everything you're saying is
- 1:04:18Speaker 8: like somebody going so what, because you know all you
- 1:04:22Speaker 8: doing is justifying the dirt that you've done.
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: Oh, this is a letter field with justification.
- 1:04:30Speaker 8: Uh.
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: He asked me where I worked, and I told him. Now,
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: let me tell you something.
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: This has been going on for a while now because
- 1:04:37Speaker 8: you jumped from they want somebody else to talk to to.
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: He asked me where I worked, and I told it,
- 1:04:44Speaker 8: but I didn't mention that I'm working remotely right now.
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: So on this past Friday, he dropped a small box
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: office excuse me, he dropped a small red box off
- 1:04:56Speaker 8: at her office, and the receptions called me to pick
- 1:05:00Speaker 8: it up, and she said, a man that's not your
- 1:05:03Speaker 8: husband dropped off something for you that was nothing but
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: shade what you want.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: Ladies say that ain't the lady ain't being messy or shady.
- 1:05:14Speaker 12: This is a fact.
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: A man dropped a red box off up here where
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: you don't work at no more. And it wasn't your husband.
- 1:05:27Speaker 8: But I went right up to my office and got
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: my gift. That'll show my husband buying this girl all
- 1:05:34Speaker 8: this stuff. That girl is your daughter, damn, so now
- 1:05:40Speaker 8: I show her. I went right on up there to
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: get my gift. The box contained some small red lingerie
- 1:05:49Speaker 8: and one hundred dollars cash.
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: I'll be dead.
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: That's all it takes, right, the thought that I didn't
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: put into all these gifts over the years without wife,
- 1:06:02Speaker 8: all of the stuff ID spent money on.
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: All I really had to do was get a little bitty.
- 1:06:10Speaker 8: Red pair laundry rate, cut her blood off, and put
- 1:06:14Speaker 8: one hundred dollars in the box.
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: Tell me, boy, that's it. When you married, and you
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: know she married, all you need.
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: Is a small ass box with one hundred dollars in
- 1:06:26Speaker 8: the man, get out of here and then she said
- 1:06:30Speaker 8: with a sweet card. You just you easy, you easy,
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: You get excited about little or nothing because you want to.
- 1:06:39Speaker 8: When I got home, I slid the box under my bed.
- 1:06:44Speaker 8: Excuse me, you slid the box under y'all's bed.
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: Tick o the good part. When my husband came home,
- 1:06:52Speaker 7: I was in bed.
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: He was getting undressed, and he took his wedding bead
- 1:06:56Speaker 8: off and it rolled under the bed.
- 1:06:58Speaker 7: I bean't do you.
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: Ain't that how you get busted always on some dumb store.
- 1:07:04Speaker 8: He took the wedding band off and it just so
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: had clicking, It hit the float and rolled under the bed.
- 1:07:12Speaker 8: When my husband then he saw the box and looked
- 1:07:17Speaker 8: at me smiling. He opened it and started getting giddy
- 1:07:22Speaker 8: because he thought it was his Valentine's President. Well, I
- 1:07:25Speaker 8: don't know how that is, because fellas what least him?
- 1:07:28Speaker 8: You got a president on Valentine? How that I ain't got.
- 1:07:32Speaker 8: I ain't never expected nothing. I'll be damn so dang.
- 1:07:37Speaker 8: How old is he here? In his eighties or something?
- 1:07:39Speaker 8: When the hell did we started getting Valentine's Day? Guess anyway?
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Uh?
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: It was.
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: I had to play it off and put the lingerie on.
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: It was way too small for me and it almost
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: cut my circulation off. I couldn't wait for him to
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: rip it off. I had to go through two rounds
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: of bad sex, but he was so happy. I want
- 1:08:00Speaker 8: my hundred dollars back, and I want to tell him
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: another man gave me that gift because he sent our
- 1:08:08Speaker 8: daughter flowers for Valentine's and he didn't give me any. Now,
- 1:08:14Speaker 8: the dumbest line in this whole letter is you want
- 1:08:19Speaker 8: to tell your husband.
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: Let me understand this, okay.
- 1:08:24Speaker 8: That another man gave you that gift because your husband
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: sent your daughter flowers for Valentine's Day and didn't give
- 1:08:32Speaker 8: you any. So your snapback for that is I'm gonna
- 1:08:37Speaker 8: tell him that another man sent this red box up
- 1:08:41Speaker 8: to my job. I went up there and picked it up.
- 1:08:44Speaker 8: Is too small for me, but I put it on
- 1:08:46Speaker 8: just to deceive you. You ripped it off and you
- 1:08:49Speaker 8: took my hundred dollars. I want my one hundred dollars back.
- 1:08:52Speaker 8: Should I tell him just to make him jealous, Lady,
- 1:08:55Speaker 8: this ain't finna make him jealous.
- 1:08:58Speaker 7: This wind to cause a whole lot. I don't think jealousy.
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: Gonna be your least of words in the police report,
- 1:09:03Speaker 8: and y'all fill it out jealousy. It's gonna be other
- 1:09:07Speaker 8: things in the police report like assault and battery, oh wow,
- 1:09:13Speaker 8: and receive and stolen property. Oh, it's gonna be a
- 1:09:17Speaker 8: lot of stuff in this police report, but jealousy won't
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: be in there. That's the dumbest thing you could do.
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: Lord, have mercy.
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Post your comments, thank you, Steve Boscher Comments.

- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Now, what's the biggest light you ever told? Tommy started
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: off my son, my oldest son.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: When he was younger. He wanted to go to PG
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: thirteen movies. Okay, okay, he wanted to go to PG
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: thirteen movies. And I would be like, I always knew
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: it was gonna be something that he didn't need to see.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Uh huh.
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: So he didn't know, but I would tell him, Hey,
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: do you know what PG thirteen means? He's like no,
- 1:10:42Speaker 2: I say that means only thirteen people can go in
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: the movie. So when we would get there and say
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: it's already twelve people in there, we can't go in there.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: It's too late, and he would be like, wow, we
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: don't never get here in time enough to see any
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: PG thirteen movies. We're gonna have to go see a
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: G movie. We're gonna go see a GM. We'd be
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: all up in line, king, we not going to see G.
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: Your mama ain't gonna be mad? All right, what's the biggest.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Lie you ever? I need to make sure that my
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: mama ain't listening. Huh oh man.
- 1:11:19Speaker 7: I uh.
- 1:11:20Speaker 10: I was at foot about sixteen years old, and my
- 1:11:22Speaker 10: mama let me take her truck to practice.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: And you know, after practice, my boy get in the truck.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: We driving back. I took my mama brand new blazer
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: and backed.
- 1:11:31Speaker 10: It and got it stuck on the side and then
- 1:11:33Speaker 10: it the whole left side on the school bus.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: Ah.
- 1:11:37Speaker 10: My boy said, man, I can't let you go back
- 1:11:39Speaker 10: home with the truth. You got to see that bus
- 1:11:41Speaker 10: back then into you.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Okay, boy, he said, you can't walk in, Mama bread
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: he got this tag still on it.
- 1:11:47Speaker 12: It ain't no license plate. Man, I walked in the
- 1:11:49Speaker 12: Mama said what happened to that truck? And my boys
- 1:11:52Speaker 12: went and talking. We was just butting up our seat.
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: Best they know.
- 1:11:55Speaker 12: A school bus hit us.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Boy.
- 1:11:58Speaker 10: My mama bought that for about two months. About two
- 1:12:02Speaker 10: months she said, she said, why you ain't getting no case?
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: Right?
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: I got to do that?
- 1:12:08Speaker 12: Ask who help received that sixty?
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: Could?
- 1:12:12Speaker 12: I was fast after that?
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: Come se the big God.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: You've ever told last one what you got so many?
- 1:12:23Speaker 8: He said, I have an endlish pool to choose. I
- 1:12:27Speaker 8: went up at all my daddy's station Wagon. One time
- 1:12:31Speaker 8: I was taking this girl out on the date in
- 1:12:33Speaker 8: my church choir. But I wanted to be with it
- 1:12:36Speaker 8: in the car. And so what I did was I
- 1:12:40Speaker 8: stopped at the drugstore and bought some Ponds cold cream.
- 1:12:43Speaker 8: That was a trick me and the Fellows shooter. You
- 1:12:45Speaker 8: back in the day, you put Pawns cold cream on
- 1:12:47Speaker 8: the windows. It make it, you know, you can't see
- 1:12:50Speaker 8: in the window. And I put the Pawns cold cream
- 1:12:55Speaker 8: on the windows before I got down there to pick
- 1:12:58Speaker 8: her up. And when I went and picked up if
- 1:13:00Speaker 8: she came and got in the calm in the station
- 1:13:02Speaker 8: wag and I bagged out. I couldn't see a damn thing.
- 1:13:04Speaker 8: I hit my daddy's offender on the fence and toe
- 1:13:08Speaker 8: the head light out.
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: I can't get cream off no window.
- 1:13:11Speaker 8: Books, Yeah, cumber, you can get Pam's cold cream off
- 1:13:16Speaker 8: the window. You can't get it out the crack where
- 1:13:18Speaker 8: this window meets the uphost.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: All right, thank you guys. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:13:28Speaker 9: So, according to an online poll, here's how to tell
- 1:13:31Speaker 9: if a boyfriend or girlfriend is serious about you. So, Steve,
- 1:13:36Speaker 9: this is the same thing you stated in your book.
- 1:13:38Speaker 9: Act to like a lady, think like a man. So
- 1:13:41Speaker 9: let's go over a few ways to tell if you
- 1:13:43Speaker 9: were the one, all right. Number one, he refers to
- 1:13:46Speaker 9: your relationship as we when talking about future plans.
- 1:13:51Speaker 7: You agree, absolutely, mhm.
- 1:13:54Speaker 8: Why would he mention you in the future if you're
- 1:13:57Speaker 8: not gonna be there? Okay, Wow, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:14:06Speaker 8: You see all the movies. What's the movies in the future,
- 1:14:10Speaker 8: Richard Pryor used to talk about, And you see all
- 1:14:13Speaker 8: the movies about the future, white people being there. That's
- 1:14:15Speaker 8: because white people wasn't playing on us being here.
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: Oh gosh, okay, they weren't saying we.
- 1:14:23Speaker 8: Yeah, we stunting the ass because we're still sticking around
- 1:14:26Speaker 8: a little shocking to him.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: All right, here's another one.
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: Steve.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: His social media includes pictures of the two of yours.
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: Absolutely.
- 1:14:36Speaker 8: I just had a conversation with a young guy because
- 1:14:38Speaker 8: I know how important social media is to them, and
- 1:14:42Speaker 8: when they claim each other as exclusive, they will post
- 1:14:46Speaker 8: each other. If you're not, you're not getting posted. I mean,
- 1:14:51Speaker 8: just look at anybody, look at all of them. And
- 1:14:53Speaker 8: so I noticed kid this dating this girl. He told
- 1:14:57Speaker 8: me he's in love with her. And he told me
- 1:14:59Speaker 8: she he's in love with him, but he ain't on
- 1:15:02Speaker 8: none of her Instagram and she ain't on none of his.
- 1:15:05Speaker 8: I said, so, I don't know what's happening, but don't
- 1:15:11Speaker 8: look that really now, he mad at me. Why could
- 1:15:15Speaker 8: you brought it to his attention?
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, here's another one. Labels become a part
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: of your relationship.
- 1:15:22Speaker 9: When you're a significant other stops introducing you as just
- 1:15:25Speaker 9: a friend publicly, chances are you're the one and only,
- 1:15:29Speaker 9: like this is mine?
- 1:15:29Speaker 8: Well, I mean that's important because how many women are
- 1:15:35Speaker 8: in relationships and don't know what it is?
- 1:15:37Speaker 7: They don't have a description of it, right, they don't
- 1:15:41Speaker 7: have what is this?
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: You know?
- 1:15:42Speaker 8: How many women in relationships that's going what is this?
- 1:15:46Speaker 8: They don't even know what it is? Because dudes are
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: very smart now and if you will go along with
- 1:15:53Speaker 8: us without a label or a title, coop. But you
- 1:15:57Speaker 8: have to ask yourself why don't I have a label
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: or a title? Ask yourself that, m And the number
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: one reason is is be cause you ain't that Lord Jesus,
- 1:16:10Speaker 8: she better tell you.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: You appreciate minister up, there.
- 1:16:17Speaker 8: Ain't nobody fitting to call you what you ain't You
- 1:16:23Speaker 8: only get to be mister president if you get the votes.
- 1:16:28Speaker 8: You only get to be the boss if you get
- 1:16:30Speaker 8: the promotion. You only get to be the owner of
- 1:16:34Speaker 8: the company if you put up all the money. Hello,
- 1:16:41Speaker 8: amen again, go ahead, Steve.
- 1:16:44Speaker 9: This is a big one in your book. I remember
- 1:16:46Speaker 9: he brags about you, introduces you to his friends.
- 1:16:50Speaker 8: Then you know, simple, man, this is the one man,
- 1:16:54Speaker 8: This is my girl. Man another day, man, we had
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: such a good time. Man, my girl man, she'd be
- 1:16:59Speaker 8: lighting it up.
- 1:16:59Speaker 7: Man.
- 1:17:00Speaker 8: And we've been going through it a little bit. Man,
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: this girl she's smart. It's just simple. It's simple. It's simple.
- 1:17:07Speaker 8: We want you and we that's how we mark our
- 1:17:09Speaker 8: tour into a territory by bragging about you.
- 1:17:12Speaker 7: So you heard me say this? She mind you heard that?
- 1:17:16Speaker 8: So what you over here faught with your head cocked
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: to the side, sipping out your drink?
- 1:17:21Speaker 7: Sideway Pardner.
- 1:17:24Speaker 9: And the and the last one, Steve, You have drawers
- 1:17:27Speaker 9: at each other's house, draws.
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: A drawer like all.
- 1:17:36Speaker 8: In the draw said, that's true too. You gotta put
- 1:17:40Speaker 8: them something. And my draws is over here because I'm
- 1:17:45Speaker 8: been finna do some things where I need new draw
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: I can't put these back on, not these.
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:18:01Speaker 7: Too much in these here? I got to get some
- 1:18:04Speaker 7: fresh drawling.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: Hey, what up this you boy?
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: Chris Brannon?
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Right now, y'all listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 1:18:32Speaker 9: a dramatic increase in egg prices. Customers and restaurants are
- 1:18:36Speaker 9: being forced to make difficult decisions.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: End quote. The average price of a dozen eggs now
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: nationwide is how much? Steve, you don't know the buck?
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: I know he doesn't.

- 1:18:48Speaker 1: Trump ky, it's these very eggs. Yeah, per egg per egg,

- 1:21:02Speaker 8: I'm the direct opposite. Okay, you open up your mouth,
- 1:21:06Speaker 8: started looking me on my neck?
- 1:21:07Speaker 7: You in for some some with that?
- 1:21:11Speaker 8: I intenser size all efforts. I'm talking about. Man, everything
- 1:21:18Speaker 8: I'm doing, I start doing hard everything in me, not
- 1:21:25Speaker 8: on my neck. My body's convulsing and stuff. I'm most
- 1:21:29Speaker 8: of my actions is involuntary. At that point, I'd rather not.
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: Let's keep this party. Would you rather?
- 1:21:43Speaker 9: Would you rather be financially satisfied all of the time?
- 1:21:46Speaker 11: He?
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Would you rather be sexually satisfied?
- 1:21:49Speaker 10: Hey?
- 1:21:49Speaker 8: Hey, yeah, we can buy it. You got enough money,
- 1:21:54Speaker 8: you ain't got to worry about it. It feel good
- 1:21:56Speaker 8: Sometimes when you just got money, you ain't got to
- 1:21:59Speaker 8: do nothing. Yeah, I'm good. Yeah, I'm trying to tell
- 1:22:03Speaker 8: you right now, I'm going with that money. Man, You're
- 1:22:07Speaker 8: financially set all the time on sexually satisfied all the time. No, No,
- 1:22:11Speaker 8: like Tommy said, you got enough money, you can buy
- 1:22:14Speaker 8: whatever you get sexually satisfied.
- 1:22:17Speaker 7: Now I don't need them both. No, No, with that money,
- 1:22:20Speaker 7: that money makes me feel like we just finished it,
- 1:22:22Speaker 7: feel way down all right?
- 1:22:28Speaker 9: So would you rather post nude, just completely naked for
- 1:22:33Speaker 9: a group of artists or would you rather wear false lashes?
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: Eyelashes?
- 1:22:38Speaker 7: Often put them lashes on so fly?
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: I ain't what is wrong naked?
- 1:22:44Speaker 7: Yeah, but I don't know. He's artists. He knows, surely
- 1:22:47Speaker 7: he knows. He don't. He don't need to be next.
- 1:22:51Speaker 7: I got, I got two albs. It look weird. I
- 1:22:53Speaker 7: ain't got the other folk.
- 1:22:55Speaker 8: I don't need to be naked in front nobody, nobody
- 1:22:59Speaker 8: but wife. She didn't seen it from all sides, and
- 1:23:02Speaker 8: I don't really a naked explaining to y'all what's going on?
- 1:23:07Speaker 7: And then let's just be.
- 1:23:08Speaker 8: Real, y'all from the side. Do you really want somebody
- 1:23:11Speaker 8: looking at you from the side?
- 1:23:16Speaker 7: You know, Ford straight on? I'm all right.
- 1:23:18Speaker 8: You know, on a scale of one to ten, about seven,
- 1:23:22Speaker 8: you know, straight on seven? You know from my age,
- 1:23:26Speaker 8: I'm an eight and a half.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: You know you look great.
- 1:23:31Speaker 7: Sideways. I can't explain that to no. Damn, I don't
- 1:23:36Speaker 7: really know what's happened.
- 1:23:38Speaker 9: All right, all right, thank you? That's our rounded would
- 1:23:43Speaker 9: you rather for today? Coming up next, it is our
- 1:23:46Speaker 9: last break of the day, and we'll have some closing
- 1:23:48Speaker 9: remarks at forty nine minutes after from the one and
- 1:23:50Speaker 9: only Steve Harvey.

- 1:24:23Speaker 2: pick up through participating Hondai dealers and select market.
- 1:24:27Speaker 7: All right, Steve, here we are. Hey.
- 1:24:29Speaker 8: You know what I've thought about something I thought I
- 1:24:32Speaker 8: wanted to share with my audience, because you know, it's
- 1:24:36Speaker 8: something I've realized as I've gotten older, I understand my mission.
- 1:24:45Speaker 8: I've accepted my calling. I am crystal clear about one
- 1:24:51Speaker 8: of the reasons why I'm here. I now fully understand
- 1:24:56Speaker 8: why God made my life have the challenges and in
- 1:25:00Speaker 8: it that he did. So in moments like this, when
- 1:25:05Speaker 8: I'm talking to people, I can offer them some tidbits,
- 1:25:10Speaker 8: some gems, some jewels that I have learned along the way.
- 1:25:14Speaker 8: And I think of so many things that I've learned
- 1:25:16Speaker 8: in my past that I never didn't understand at the time.
- 1:25:19Speaker 7: But I do not.
- 1:25:20Speaker 8: But something my mother used to say to me all
- 1:25:22Speaker 8: the time. My mother used to say, one day, God
- 1:25:26Speaker 8: gonna give you a big house up on the hill.
- 1:25:29Speaker 8: You can't get up on that hill, and don't tell
- 1:25:31Speaker 8: nobody else how to get there. Now, coming from a
- 1:25:34Speaker 8: very poor background, I didn't understand that at a time.
- 1:25:38Speaker 8: And then you know, that was a scripture talking about
- 1:25:40Speaker 8: a house on a hill and something like that was
- 1:25:42Speaker 8: something something I didn't know what she was talking about.
- 1:25:44Speaker 8: Don't think, my mama, here come another Bible verse. I
- 1:25:47Speaker 8: got to go to the Bibles still they and figure
- 1:25:49Speaker 8: this one out, and I just never did.
- 1:25:51Speaker 4: Well.
- 1:25:51Speaker 8: I understand now, and in that, I understand my mission,
- 1:25:57Speaker 8: I understand my assignment. I've accepted at my calling, and
- 1:26:01Speaker 8: here I am. So that's to say to everybody out
- 1:26:06Speaker 8: there who hasn't reached my plateau yet.
- 1:26:08Speaker 7: As far as age goes.
- 1:26:10Speaker 8: The things you're going through right now is preparing you
- 1:26:15Speaker 8: for what you're going to be and what you're going
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: to have. And you've got to understand this process. I
- 1:26:24Speaker 8: didn't always understand it, but now that I've gone through
- 1:26:27Speaker 8: it and still going through it, at times, I'm sharing
- 1:26:30Speaker 8: with you some things that you need to know about
- 1:26:32Speaker 8: the process that yeah, it's hard for you now, but
- 1:26:37Speaker 8: this too shall pass. Yes it's challenging for you now,
- 1:26:41Speaker 8: but this ain't gonna trouble last always. I'm telling you
- 1:26:45Speaker 8: what I've learned, that you're going to get to the
- 1:26:48Speaker 8: other side of it eventually. And sometimes you get to
- 1:26:51Speaker 8: the other side and don't even realize you there, and
- 1:26:55Speaker 8: you just got to stay in the process. The most
- 1:26:58Speaker 8: important thing you have to remember for in this whole
- 1:27:01Speaker 8: process is don't you ever ever give up. I don't
- 1:27:05Speaker 8: care what happens. Don't you ever give up. I don't
- 1:27:08Speaker 8: care how dark can look for you, how bleak the situation,
- 1:27:11Speaker 8: how charged with punishment the scroll, Don't you ever ever
- 1:27:17Speaker 8: give up? Because I have seen it happen too many times.
- 1:27:22Speaker 8: I have seen people who I know gave up before
- 1:27:26Speaker 8: the light switch got cut. On one more strike of
- 1:27:30Speaker 8: the hammer, they to hit oil, one more dig or
- 1:27:34Speaker 8: the shovel and the diamonds would have fell out. I
- 1:27:36Speaker 8: have seen people walk away from situations and the very
- 1:27:40Speaker 8: next day the person behind them reaped the benefits. I've
- 1:27:43Speaker 8: seen it over and over and over and over again.
- 1:27:47Speaker 8: I was determined I was not going to be that person.
- 1:27:53Speaker 8: I oftentimes I just asked God for strength. Now you
- 1:27:57Speaker 8: know what God does when you ask for strength, He
- 1:28:01Speaker 8: puts situations in front of you that requires you to
- 1:28:03Speaker 8: be strong. Because it's like going to the gym. You
- 1:28:08Speaker 8: can't go in there and get in that gym. One
- 1:28:10Speaker 8: of the big boys is that over there. You got
- 1:28:11Speaker 8: to start with some lightweights. You got to work up.
- 1:28:15Speaker 8: You can't jump in there and grab the sixties. You
- 1:28:18Speaker 8: gotta start your curls with them twenties. Man, you grab
- 1:28:22Speaker 8: them sixties and start curling, and see what happened. You'll
- 1:28:25Speaker 8: be discouraged. You'll go home. Nah, man, You got to
- 1:28:29Speaker 8: get on that. You got to get them lightweights. You
- 1:28:31Speaker 8: got to start building it up. And as you build
- 1:28:33Speaker 8: it up, you get stronger, and you get stronger, so
- 1:28:36Speaker 8: you ask God for strength. Yeah, so he puts situation
- 1:28:39Speaker 8: in front of you that requires you to be strong.
- 1:28:42Speaker 8: You asking God to make you rich one day. You
- 1:28:45Speaker 8: know what God gonna do. He gonna make you understand
- 1:28:47Speaker 8: what poverty is. See, because if you do get rich
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: one day, you're gonna have to have an appreciation for
- 1:28:54Speaker 8: it because if you don't. People who get rich quick
- 1:28:56Speaker 8: don't have money long because they don't know the process.
- 1:29:01Speaker 8: So as you're asking God to increase your wealth, He's
- 1:29:05Speaker 8: also gonna let you stay in this poverty a little
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: while too.
- 1:29:08Speaker 7: I can attest to that.
- 1:29:11Speaker 8: As you ask God to bring you closer, which is
- 1:29:14Speaker 8: what I'm doing right now.
- 1:29:15Speaker 7: You know what God gonna do.
- 1:29:17Speaker 8: He gonna put you in this situation to make you realize,
- 1:29:19Speaker 8: ain't nobody out there for you but Him? And I
- 1:29:22Speaker 8: ain't got no choice but to be closer to Him
- 1:29:24Speaker 8: because guess what, can't nobody really help me? I don't
- 1:29:28Speaker 8: have no problems. Well, I can pick up the phone
- 1:29:29Speaker 8: and go, yo, man, I need some help. No anybody
- 1:29:32Speaker 8: finna do that. God keeps me in situations where I
- 1:29:37Speaker 8: have to realize is only Him and no matter where
- 1:29:41Speaker 8: the attack comes from. I am now thoroughly convinced that
- 1:29:45Speaker 8: God got me. I am convinced of it. I wish
- 1:29:51Speaker 8: y'all could just learn it from me. Do you see
- 1:29:53Speaker 8: how I come and get on this radio every day
- 1:29:55Speaker 8: with this same attitude. I don't care what world and
- 1:30:00Speaker 8: around me. I have people all the time, Hey man,
- 1:30:04Speaker 8: just checking on you.
- 1:30:04Speaker 7: You okay? But I'm good. I'm good man, I'm good.
- 1:30:10Speaker 7: I really am.
- 1:30:11Speaker 8: Because I am convinced that God is with me. I
- 1:30:15Speaker 8: am convinced that He's not gonna leave me. I am
- 1:30:19Speaker 8: convinced that no weapon for him against me shall prosper.
- 1:30:22Speaker 8: I am convinced that I can walk through the rivers
- 1:30:25Speaker 8: and the waters and will not be overcome. I am
- 1:30:28Speaker 8: convinced of that. I am convinced that he making me
- 1:30:31Speaker 8: lie down in green pastures. I'm convinced of it because
- 1:30:34Speaker 8: He's done it for me time and time again. So
- 1:30:36Speaker 8: why would he not do me again? And if God
- 1:30:38Speaker 8: said he never leave you.
- 1:30:40Speaker 7: He don't leave you.
- 1:30:42Speaker 8: You going through something don't mean he'dne left you. Man, y'all,
- 1:30:45Speaker 8: come on now, don't ever give up. That's the number
- 1:30:47Speaker 8: one thing. Don't you ever give up? I don't care
- 1:30:51Speaker 8: what happens. Don't you dare give up?
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:30:56Speaker 7: Those are my clothes. Was love.
